Vector Security Reviews

Vector brought Security Assoc and I continued with Vector as a result. We have all our windows and doors done as well as a motion sensor, camera, and glass break sensor. We had the batteries changed in Dec 2018. We had a problem with the alarm 2/1/2019 and the Central Monitoring station did not have our correct telephone # and sent the State Police. Unfortunately this happened on a Friday night and Central Monitoring insisted they could not correct the number, I needed to call Vector customer care. I am very happy with Customer Care’s Andrew was very helpful and today Tim came and switched us over to Vector Security’s monitoring station. Tim is always very thorough and very good at explaining what he’s done.

Tech was very professional and arrived on time/early but with ample time to be at my home. He went over all of the system and found a glass break that I didn’t even know existed. He replaced my bad glass break as it keeped giving us problems, he also replaced the batteries on my other devices since they had been installed a long time ago.

We chose Vector Security based on reviews and based on today, our experience was extremely well. We are excited about our new Security system and are looking forward to having this for a long time. Josh explained everything and made sure I understood everything before he left. He was nice, presentable, and extremely helpful.

My sister's house was broken into and we looked into a security system and chose Vector. We have been very happy. When my husband goes out of town, I feel very secure with the alarm activated. I also have the water sump pump detector and I feel very confident my basement will not flood again.

We’ve had Vector Security for over 11 years, everything has been great. Whenever we’ve needed a technician they always came right away and took care of any issues we were having. We recently decided to upgrade our system and Devin and Ethan were our technicians, they were right on time! They showed us how to use our new system. They very nice young gentlemen and it was an excellent service.

Philip ** was an excellent installer. I'm a senior citizen and he was very patient with me. He explained the system to me. He showed his Vector ID card and I appreciate that. He cleaned up everything. Thank you for sending Philip.

Vector Security is great. I was having a problem with my 2GIG panel, when the tech got here, he was able to remove the old one and install a new one for me! Anthony got it working in less than an hour. No more noise coming from the speaker, and now I can use my alarm again!

The company I originally signed up with was bought by Vector. Recently when I had to call Vector to service my system I was a little disappointed. It took longer than I expected for someone to answer the phone. Overall I am happy with Vector's Service.

I just want to say thank you for always being great, anytime I call I always get fast results and top notch service, Dyan is always cheerful and very helpful! Sometimes I don't even require a service call because she is able to help me via telephone. Also I appreciate the promptness of the monitoring station. Keep up the good work!!

Learned about Vector Security from salespeople walking through the neighborhood and the lady next door had an demonstration by them and sent him over to me. We didn’t have a alarm here and had considered getting one anyway so we signed up. The alarm has been great. No issues except for low battery once in a while. Now for other issue we have never had to pay any additional fees as it was all included in the monthly bill. Now all of a sudden there is a $25 trip fee when the service tech makes a visit and this is unacceptable.

Mike was very knowledgeable and professional. He called in advance and was able to arrange his schedule at the time most convenient for us. He fully explained what he was doing so that we understood what was involved. We would be happy if Bill is the Vector service person for future calls.

I’ve been a customer for a long time and got the alarm.com cameras installed about a year or so ago. We’ve had a problem with the back porch camera, and made an appointment to have someone come take a look. Anthony checked it out and had it back up and working in no time. He even told us about the new security system that hooks to the internet. That is something I will be checking into.

The technician Dave ** was on the early side of his appointment. No one was here when he arrived. He called me, I disarmed the panel remotely, and told him the door was open he can go inside. By the time I arrived he already changed out the sensor and was ready to test. It was a very pleasant experience.

We love our Vector System and all the security and peace of mind it gives us. You could not ask for better people and service than Vector offers. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The only way to go for security.

I was delighted when I opened the door and saw that it was Steve. He has been out several times and is always very courteous. Steve takes the time to ask what the problem is and is very patient. I especially appreciate that he checks the whole system and does preventative maintenance, like changing batteries. Enjoy talking with Steve and trust his recommendations. A stellar employee.

This was a security camera installation. Devin and Ethan were here all day. They were pleasant, polite, clean and hard working. They tolerated our dogs very well. They apologized when they had to interrupt me to ask me questions. The install was a resounding success. One camera took some effort as it was placed very high to see the whole front yard. The salesman did not tell us they could do that! The explanation was very thorough and I know they were tired by then. They took their time with it although they were here all day.

We chose Vector Security because while we were searching online for home security systems this one had great reviews. A friend suggested Vector Security and so Devin ** came out to help us determine what products would work best for our new home and he was extremely helpful in helping us decide on what exactly we needed. Just a few days later they were installing the security system in our home and Devin made sure to go over everything with us and answer any questions we had. He set us up with the Vector Security app, which is amazing! Overall, we had a great experience with Vector Security and would highly recommend to all family and friends in the future.

Heard good things about Vector. Had very bad experience with other security companies. The install went very well. Sales rep Kevin was great. Everything was done the way it was explained. Techs Eli and Ronaldo what great. Very neat with the work well done.

The company we had was bought by Vector. We could have changed but Vector has been attentive and reliable. We have been a customer for a while now. The product has also been reliable. Vector's response time is good and their technicians are top notch.

I have found Vector Security very attentive to the small amount of problems that I've had with the system. I feel much better knowing we have an alarm system. If we ever move I will probably have them again in our new place.

Devin was a very helpful and professional installer. He was personable and answered all of my questions. He made sure everything was hooked up correctly and that I was up to date every step of the way. He walked me through the app and security system and I feel confident that I actually know how to work it.

Regarding my phone call to Vector, Agata was OUTSTANDING! She confirmed what I had requested and sent me the form I needed for my insurance company, immediately after we spoke. I appreciate quality service, and was not disappointed. If I was the boss, I would give her a promotion.

The alarm was saying it was off signal and after calling tech support they send out. I was disappointed that it took almost a week for someone to come. When the tech came he was able to fix the problem fast and very porfessional and friendly. He was great!

Originally chose Vector Security because we had a wired-in service which was installed by the builder who built the house 25 years ago. Vector made it easy to convert that system to their format and provide all services that we needed, including additional heat and fire detection. As we have replaced windows and doors in our house we have had to disable some of the wired in portions of our security system. They have made it easy to replace those with wireless sensors. Vectors telephone schedulers and service people have always been an exceptional in all respects.

Torrence called on his way to the house. He arrived on time and was very friendly and polite. Torrence is very knowledgeable about his job. He tested every window, and door to make sure they were working properly. He troubleshooted and fixed our camera upstairs and replaced our smoke detector that was not working. All around great customer service experience. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have had security by Vector for many years, We decided it was time for an upgraded system. I am truly pleased with the work performed by George, he is a very skilled technician with a great personality. He was very clean and very thorough in with walking through the house with me and going over every detail.

Alarm system not communicating. Doorbell camera not working. Called customer service and the representative was rude. She was indicating that I will be charged. I shared with her that I need someone to come and check my camera and not what could it could not be. Service technician Nick came out and took care of the problem. He indicated that the camera was not communicating and fixed the problem. Great service from him. Very professional and understanding.

We were currently using an outdated security system that had no video or camera coverage. It only had door sensors. We had continual faulty alarms and the story was getting old. The doctor ran into a sales rep for Vector who was showing him up to date live video coverage of the office which really impressed him. Due to our current security system’s lack of trying to update our security, combined with the information given by the sales rep sealed the deal and our security is now live and up to date.

I had Vector for many years. My alarm panel stop communicating. Called Vector and he sent Nick. Nick was awesome! He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, humorous, and all around awesome guy! Vector needs more techs like him. I thoroughly enjoy my new touchscreen panel. When looking for security service we wanted something local rather than a larger company. Whether it’s the tech that comes out or central station calling for an alarm the service has always been great. The company has been very informative and prompt if there’s an issue.

Our office already has Vector Security, and we were looking into a different key system. The webinar that I watched was to see the administrative web link on how to use the keyfob system. I found it very helpful and think that it is a great idea for our business. I will go over all the information and proposal with the providers and will get back on whether or not we are going to move forward on this.

The alarm was already installed... had to be activated and tech made sure all windows and doors operated correctly. Unfortunately, our phone line was not set up correctly however, the tech still worked on the system to ensure who ever came out next it would be all ready to go. I appreciate that sort of quality.

Heard great reviews about Vector Security and see your yard signs all over Dutchess County. The technician George was very knowledgeable and informed me about fire protection, so I went with his suggestions on installing smoke detectors. George also walked me through operating the system on the panel and on the app on my phone.

All of the technicians that have come for service have been very knowledgeable and help solve the problem at hand. They always make sure I am up to date on any new technology for monitoring my system. Steve was very helpful today and made sure I was fully aware of any options to upgrade my system.

Tech did a good job helping with how to use my system, I had forgotten my password/user info for my app and my code for my keypad. He took his time and had everything reset so that I could put something that I wouldn’t forget, I am very pleased with the service he provided.

In looking into other company's alarms, I chose Vector because they were reasonably priced and I didn't read too many bad reviews on their Facebook page. Rich arrived within the time frame he provided earlier by phone. He was polite and friendly. During the install I continued to work but he seemed to get through everything seamlessly. I checked on him a few times and he was okay. At the time of testing the system, he was very patient with me. Communicated the features of the phone app and home panel thoroughly. We tested all functions including the alarm, so I would be aware of the sound, if it ever alarmed. I am very happy with installation service.

Vector has been our security company for over 20 years. Last May we moved to a rental and we continued with Vector's service. We are now preparing to move again and I had to obtain certain information and had placed several calls to the sales department. When I called today, Denise answered the call and asked me how she could direct my call, tried to connect with someone and when she realized that no one was readily available she asked me what my questions were and she would try to help us. Lo and behold Denise answered all my questions satisfactorily and I must comment how pleasant and informative she was. Great customer service provided by Denise **!

Airgas uses Vector at a majority of their branches due to their excellent service and thorough installation. They listen and customize to your needs. Everything is set up in a way that makes sense, and the software to access everything is very user friendly. Great Job all around.

I closed Vector security. They very affordable and the sales person real know a lot about all the product that vector sells to its customers. They service department is very fast in response to my system having an issues. They service tech arrived on time and repair my system quickly.

Vector has been our security company for the last 7 plus years. I like that they are always hospitable and it isn't a service call that turns in to a sales pitch. The guy that came was hospitable and very easy to understand. He identified the issues and quickly got it fixed and explained it to me so that I know what the issue was and how to get it fixed next time. I called to request alarm certificate and received the certificate via email on the same day. Agata ** was really helpful. She emailed the same day. We needed to give a discount for having a monitored alarm for our mutual customer insurance.

Moved cameras from location A to location B and worked on getting camera application to display the cameras correctly on the screen. I would definitely recommend Vector Security for all site needs from Alarms to surveillance cameras. He even worked in poor weather conditions to make sure the site was at applicable security.

Working in an insurance agency, I deal with many alarm companies. Today, a client had an alarm certificate forwarded to me and I had a question. Called Agata **, who's name was on the email. It was a fairly simple question, but she was very polite, made me feel as if she was happy to help and I didn't feel rushed off the phone. So many times, I feel like I'm bothering a person when calling by their tone. Definitely did not feel this way today, when speaking to Agata.

Initially I was angry because the time the technician suppose to arrive, he didn't but he called to let me know he is running late. He came and did a fantastic job and even told some stuffs I need to add to the system like carbon monoxide and glass break which I never thought of having. But am impress he let me know I need them and I sees the reason why. Vector is good company.

I was in the market for another system and choose this one from a door to door service person. Was a bit pricey, but the service and security is excellent. Mr. Ricky ** is very professional with the installation at first glance. He also checked for future problems in case the installation did not work well. I am very pleased with the outcome.

I have Vector Security at my business and we had break in on 2/15/19. Their alarm did not go off. I have purchased glass breaker and motion detector that time. Customer service lady told me you have to pay for it and I did. Still don't work last 15days. Calling every single day to GOL security based in Atlanta who's handling Vector security or authorized dealer for that calling monitoring station every single day but they don't have any answer because of their issues my insurance company saying, "It's alarm company fault. So they have to reimburse you for that. Not us".

We chose Vector through a recommendation of our home builder. Our experience with salesperson Chris and the technician Mike was terrific. Installation was easy and the technician was patient. Great service and we would highly recommend Vector to our friends and family.

Tech evaluated system. Replaced motion sensor which came from old system. Tech also replaced batteries in other sensors. Tech also sold us an additional sensor for our new shed. He did a great job. I would highly recommend him to any of your customer.

The technicians that came were great. They arrived right on time, and got started as soon as they arrived. They answered all of the questions I had and were very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend Vector and these technicians to my friends and family. Considering how friendly and knowledgeable they are!

I spoke with the salesman about upgrading my alarm system from ADT. He came out and explained Vector’s packages. I went with an upgrade package. The technician arrived on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in explaining how the new system works and how the Vector app works on my phone. I really like the system and cameras I have. Very state of the art. I would recommend Vector to anyone I know that is interested in a security system or cameras.

I purchased this system a few months ago. There has been a lot of break ins in my neighborhood recently. So far the system has been great. Thankfully no break ins. I've been a loyal Vector Security customer for 14 years. I never had problems with my previous system. I wanted to upgrade to the newest system Vector had to offer and I'm very satisfied with the new system and the service tech.

Jose was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he helped me understand how my whole system worked and educated me on how to power down my system If needed to. Also educated me on the difference between hard wire contacts and wireless. I am very pleased with his work.

We recently bought a new home and there was already Vector Security installed. We decided that it’d be best to have it activated since it’s already here. Due to my traveling it was a no brainer. Devin was my installation technician. He was fast and efficient, showed me how to use my system and added a glass break for me.

I was so glad that Anthony came out to check my system! Not only did he give it a thorough test, we talked about the doorbell cameras. He had one available for me to purchase as well as a WiFi extender! I even bought a 2nd extender to improve the WiFi back in my den, where I spend most of my time. Very excellent job. No problems. Installer was very polite and professional. He explained the system thoroughly. He installed new lawn signs for us and cleaned up everything. He showed us his Vector ID card when he arrived and we appreciate that.

To get additional features with our security system that are available through the iPhone and also looking to add capabilities beyond security for home automation. Tech. was excellent, on time and very knowledgeable. We are looking to add controlling the lights and thermostats within our home.

Alarm Service is supposed to be part of HOA. Technician was very good. He was very patient, pleasant, informative and knowledgeable. I was informed of extra costs prior to visit but I thought the Vector contract would be all inclusive.

The only negative issue that I have experienced is with having to have so many batteries replaced in the sensors on the windows. We liked Vector so much that we did choose to put a Vector system in our business as a replacement system. We are also first time alarm owners for our home.

My system was going off for no reason. I called Vector. They told me someone would come out between now and midnight. They were able to get Terry out very quickly. He took care of my issues.
