    I did not choose Vector Security, they bought my ADT account, which included my home and office. Unfortunately, after Vector took over my account, service devolved to inconsistent then nonexistent. Eventually, when both locations had been down for weeks, I had no choice but to cancel both and look elsewhere for security service at both locations. Very sad, I'm not sure how Vector maintains any accounts in this area.

    You guys don't forget to charge me yet all my cameras don't work correctly and when I ask for support I don't get any. Waste of money. When I have time I need to find a new service. The front camera doesn't work at all. The backyard one has to be moved.

    Terrible. I have tried to pay my bill multiple times and keep getting messages the card is expired but I have corrected it and still I am receiving emails.     I've called Vector Security January 7th, January 14th and yesterday January 27th, 3 to 4 times a day and ask for someone to send me the contract of where I signed for a three three year contract when I know I only sign for a year and a half I have not received the email yet and here it is by stand on my house and your service is still being used. I will still have to pay for it. I do not want your service anymore. My year and a half contract is up.     Customer service is horrible since ADS was merged with Vector. I have been a customer for over 15 years. In the past, a local representative would answer the phone. Now, they have automated phone services; no one answers the phone and was on hold for over an hour. Finally, an operator took my name and created a maintenance request. He said someone would call me; however, still no call. I am having problems with my security system; it keeps beeping for no reason. Finally, I just disconnected the system. I am planning to cancel my service if no one calls tomorrow and contact a locally owned company with better customer service.

    I have tried 6x times to get into my account so I can change the credit card on file; I can't get in...Reset of my password gives me a new password, but that new password is also rejected. I have left messages (no one is available to speak with me) at the main and regional phone numbers...I am not confident my call(s) will be returned in a timely manner; not looking for a response in a few hours, but I suspect it will be days or not at all. It appears I have been locked out of my account intentionally by Vector; I can accept that. It simply means you no longer desire to do business with me but it would have been more appropriate to tell me before taking action. If the decision to end our relationship has been made, please be so kind as to tell me so I can engage another security company.

    I have an Alarm.com system in my house and decided to contract Vector for my second home. What a nightmare! Alarm.com log ins got mixed up; apps exchanged data between houses and after several hours on the phone and online I’ve given up and am cancelling my Vector service. Problem might be with Alarm.com software but Vector has been unable to help and I cannot have systems that interfere with each other.

    I've had Vector Security for 2 years and have never had a problem with the service. However, I recently moved and called to cancel my service only to be made aware that I was under a 5 year contract that I was not aware of. When I first moved to my condo, the representatives visited my condo several times, even though my association does allow solicitors. The last time, the representative came back with his manager. I decided to get services since this was my first time living alone with young children.

    The representative nor his manager explained to me that there was a 5 year Contract for the security service. They had me initial on the manager's cell phone, which at the time I was explained it was the automated payment agreement. Never did I see anything about a 5 year contract. I have never heard of a 5 Year contract for a security service. Cell phone providers don't even have contracts this long. This is truly unheard of and I am extremely dissatisfied! I feel completely conned!

    One more charge for doing nothing and I'm going with another security company. Not only do you people raise rates every year for just sitting on a chair looking at a monitor, but now I get charged an extra $! for "intrusion". There was a low battery in one of the smoke alarms. NO ONE called, no one was sent out, yet because light blinked at your office you add an extra charge to the bill. Sick of your company and looking to add to a bill when no person there is actually called on to do extra work. Vector must need money really bad to do stuff like this. This happens again you've lost me as a customer.

    Impossible to get anyone on the phone. I needed a service call and called multiple times, held for over 45 minutes and tried every extension offered. Finally got through to the wrong department and they said they would have my local office call me, which they did not. Waited a day or 2, went through the same thing. Then finally reached someone. Terrible customer service. And on top of this, they are raising monitoring service rates annually. I am done. Cancelling my service….if I can get someone to answer the phone...

    I was a customer with Vector since 2010 or 2011 up until 2024! The reason I left is because your equipment would occasionally cause my home phone to malfunction especially after an electrical storm because I live in farm country! This last time it happened you wanted to charge me $200.00 for a service call to FIX A PROBLEM CREATED BY YOUR EQUIPMENT! I was very disappointed with how I had been treated! It’s not people in this area’s fault because you have ZERO technicians in this area! Poor Customer Service! All those years paying for your service and when your equipment causes problems you don’t stand behind it!

    The fire department wanted to know why I hadn’t called Vector. I hadn’t thought of it. I called FHFurr to come check for carbon monoxide when my whole house was screaming at me about carbon monoxide. The technician spent two hours in our house checking both furnaces. The alarm went off again at midnight. I hadn’t thought of the doors and windows open. It finally stopped. This morning the whole hard wired house started screaming again. I called Fairfax Fire Department and they ripped all the hardwired devices for smoke and carbon monoxide off the ceilings. They put up temporary devices for fire and carbon monoxide detection. I have talked to Vector now for hours. Not a real person although I’ve been promised that a real person will call. I don’t know what to do. Vector is not at home unless you want a new system installed. I called to get a new system. Wendy promised she would get someone to call me. Well, not yet.

    I had always advertised and recommended Vector for Ben Palumbo and referred many customers in the past. Over the past 3 years my sensors keep failing and my kids are getting anxiety and stress over the alarm going off in the middle of the night due to failing sensors. I have been told during every convenience trip that someone would check all sensors. No one does this for me when they arrive after waiting 25 days, even though I am disabled. I am still getting a $25 trip charge since June even though everyone still says it's incorrect, but cannot remove it. Waiting 3 days for Jessica ** to call me about multiple issues and alarm not calling out while my current zone 19 is now faulty, but Vector has no record of this alarm going off either. No one answered the monitoring center in the middle of the night last time. I have multiple connections but no communication. The battery I'm told is fine, although it doesn't last more than 1 hour.

    I spend too much time on the phone waiting for a person to answer my call. When we finally get a person then they transfer me to someone else and I wait again When the rep comes out to the house I have to pay a service call fee even if it is Vector's equipment that is at fault. When they “fix” the problem and leave I usually have a new problem 10 minutes after they leave. Ugh.

    I told the agent by the name of Henry that I want anything to do with a contract and he said that you can cancel it at any time. Unfortunately for me I lost my job in May due to a medical condition. I have called the owner by name of Bill and told him about my situation. He said that I have to do a year at least for him cancel it. I called him again recently and he told me call him in January which I did couple of days ago. He refused to cancel it and threatened me with lien on my property if I refused to pay. My son who was helping me out is about to go back to Georgia. I’m kindly asking you guys to disconnect my service at ** Portsmouth VA. I just want to focus on my mental health at the moment. Bill and Henry are unprofessional business partner.     I've been a satisfied customer of ADS since 2021. The service has always been good and professional across the board. Recently, things have changed under Vector and not for the better. The customer service is not what it used to be under ADS when contacting the main customer service number and/or submitting a trouble ticket via the App. The person answering the call lacks knowledge and professionalism. I've been told someone would call me back and no one calls. When talking on the phone, I find the background noise and distractions very frustrating and unprofessional for a "security" company.     I did not ‘choose’ Victor Security. The company I chose, Midwest sold to another company which sold to Victor. Since becoming a Victor customer by default I have not been as satisfied as before. Here is why: It seems the monitoring center has been longer in contacting me when there has been an alarm activation for entry (accidental). Victor has been sending emails where the previous companies contacted by phone calls for entry alarms. They did however call when I had an accidental smoke alarm. And that was ‘very’ prompt.

    I prefer phone calls, along w/ text messages. I get so many emails I have shut off my notifications of emails then view them later. Another issue I have is when I have had entry alarms (accidental) if I am home & enter my pass code it clears the alarm. If I am not home & I respond to the email it clears the alarm. No questions asked. Before when there was an alarm I had to give my security ‘Word’. I liked that. When I had my recent smoke alarm I did get a phone call & they did ask for my security ‘word’.

    Your app lacks of resetting password and I never received any password reset link. You use cheapest available batteries which run about 6 months. I can change my own batteries but can't reset the bypass item on panel. Update your software app and enable customer that they can change batteries and update in the system.

    This company is the most horrible company. In July of 2024, I sent certified letter as requested in contract to close my account which contract ended in 2023. Vector refused to sign for letter. After speaking with a representative, who also said my contract has been up since 2023 told me that can cancel online. So I cancelled online. In which they did not respond. I am still getting billed for a service that has been unhooked since July and not one phone call asking if I am ok or acknowledgement that my service is unhooked. You would think the monitoring service would have asked if we were ok. I sent another email, no response. Still getting billed.

    Customer Service is a nightmare. You hold for an insurmountable amount of time, then you are transferred to a voicemail, and no one returns your call. I have been a customer for two months and am seriously considering switching companies. When I contacted customer service in November for a separate issue, I was told that the local customer service was transitioning to a call center, and they were short-staffed and were backed up on returning calls. This does not excuse the fact that no one answers live calls or returns your calls. As a customer, my experience is with Vector is horrible.

    Been a customer for years, price goes up but customer service provided goes down. When the alarm goes off they send you a text message asking if they should cancel, you select yes they ask you to confirm and the alarm is cancelled. No one asks you to provide password etc. company cutting corners and putting people’s life at risk.

    It’s clear there’s a serious issue with disorganization and customer support. My carbon monoxide alarm began beeping, and it took two weeks for someone to address it. Meanwhile, I received 20 phone calls daily from Vector, but no resolution. To make matters worse, this happened over a weekend, and I was told I couldn’t schedule service because no one works on weekends. When I finally arranged a weekday appointment, I was forced to block off an entire day for your time frame.

    This morning (Saturday), the alarm started beeping again, terrifying my dogs, who are extremely sensitive to noise. It’s beyond frustrating to experience the same issue with no way to resolve it immediately. This situation is unacceptable. Your service is supposed to provide security and peace of mind, not constant stress. I expect prompt action to resolve this and a serious review of your customer support process. Your loyal clients deserve better. I hope to see real improvement and a quick resolution.

    We started getting low battery alarms approx 1 week ago. They always happen in middle of night (1:00am-2:00am). NEVER DURING THE DAY. We changed batteries. But then started to get tamper alarms again in middle of night (12:00am-2:00am). We unplugged the system and had your technician come to our house. He changed all batteries, reset the system and guaranteed us that the alarms would stop going off for batteries. Well over the past three nights we are now getting woken up to tamper alarms on our smoke detectors between 12:00am and 2:00am. Seriously why can't you write some useful lines of software that simply allow low battery and tamper alarms to be thrown during the day...instead of in the middle of the night. I don't care if you do your system maintenance in the middle of the night, just stop waking me up because your system finally checks itself. I'm getting rid of Vector.

    I am a 5 year customer with security cameras. The original Installation Techs, and my local service tech are all top notch, 5 stars all around. Administrative customer service from the Columbia, Md. office is AWFUL. I have been attempting to resolve a billing issue for days on end but no one answers a phone at this location, which unfortunately is my "local" office (even though it's in a different state). Numerous messages have been left on the billing office line, and I even reached out to the sales line to try to connect with a human being. A sales rep called me back, and just connected me to the same recording line after I explained my dilemma reaching the billing department without any return calls. I can't even find a contact number for the corporate office to make a complaint.

    I will be alerting everyone in my community via the community Facebook page about this atrocious customer service, and will probably have to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. This on top of canceling my camera service. Perhaps you should focus your efforts on improving customer service instead of sending out emails from "Art" about Christmas decorations.

    As a 10+ year customer, I was surprised at the response I was provided when reporting a sensor alert malfunction. One of my sensors indicated that an alarm was initiated in the early morning hours. Concerned, I got up and did my best to investigate. Later that morning I contacted the after-hours staff who helped me bypass that window until a technician could be dispatched (incident occurred on a weekend).

    When I was contacted on Monday, I was advised that there would be a charge to come out and check the sensor even though I have a service contract. The individual I spoke to during the first call said there would be no charge for the visit. As I pay a monthly fee, I am disappointed that Vector won’t maintain the equipment even with a service agreement. It may be time to explore other security companies or options.

    When attempting to cancel my service I was told it had to be in writing through a special form that I would get through my email. Calling them is a nightmare in itself. I never got the form. I called a 3rd time and was told there was no form, just write the request and email it to them. THEN I got a phone call saying my balance in collections! My final bill was due 10/9. I called and was told I had to pay the collection agency. They gave me the collection agency phone number. I called the collection and they said my account wasn't there yet. I called back to Vector and was told I was not in collections so she took my payment. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE.

    I used to have ADS and it was bad for service but Vector is worse. They bought out ADS which used to be pretty good but Vector won't answer a phone or show up when they say they will send someone out. With other companies out there that offer easy setup and use for customers, I would think they want to keep business but that just is not the case. Typical American company, get consumer money and give no support.

    If you like being nickeled and dimed for everything, Vector is the company for you. From paying a gas surcharge and $25 for them to come out even when you have a service agreement is ridiculous. On top of all that, plan on at least 5% bogus annual rate increases. This used to be a great company, especially when it was known as Hammond, and I am sorry that my whole home system is setup with them - we've been with them for many, many years. There are a lot of other options out there nowadays and when I am ready to make the investment, I will be revamping my whole system and gladly leaving Vector behind. Also, many of the other reviews here are clearly fake. Go over to Yelp and you'll understand why Vector has become less than a 2-star company.

    Lantana, Texas residents are required to use Vector Security. In 2022, I purchased a new home in Lantana, Texas, and the recommended security provider for was relayed to me as Vector Security. I contacted Jimmy **, Sales in January of 2022 to discuss a security system. After negotiation, we agreed to a 3-year term for monitoring. Also discussed was the equipment needed at the home.

    On February 8, 2022 I flew in from Houston, Texas and met Vector Security at my new home for installation. As the home did not have the appropriate monitoring equipment, I met the installer there to install the cameras, CO2 monitors, glass break, motion detectors and front door keypad. At the end of hours of installation, I signed a 3-year monitoring agreement with Vector. The installer also asked me to sign that all equipment was installed, which I did. I signed two items on February 8, 2022: the contract for 3-year monitoring and the equipment installation verification.

    In the summer of 2024 as we were preparing to sell our home, I contacted Vector to find out what I need to do to cancel service after our home was sold. It was then that I found out that in the equipment rider there was a 5-year contract addition. Unknowingly, on the same day and at the same time I signed BOTH a 3-year AND a 5-year monitoring agreement.

    I was understandably upset as, due to the nature of our jobs, we have never lived any place more than 2.5 to 3.5 years and I told Jimmy **, the Vector salesperson that information many times when negotiating the contract. I would have never knowingly signed a 5-year monitoring agreement. When Connie at Vector told me this, I asked her to have a supervisor to call me. I had to repeat my request many times. Finally, Connie agreed to escalate.

    On August 19, 2022, Bobby **, General Manager, called me back and I explained the situation. He agreed that this mix-up should not have happened and said that he would honor the 3-year contract and would update the account. This was followed up by a text to me stating the same. (see attached) We sold our home on October 22, 2024 and I notified Vector to stop service. I called Vector and was told that I would owe until the close of the contract in February 2025. Approximately three more months of payments, which I understood. This would be approximately $160.

    On October 24, 2024 I received an invoice for Invoice #**. Amount: $-27.04. On October 25, 2024, I received a bill from Vector for Invoice #** Amount: $1,377.59! I immediately emailed and called the general manager, Bobby **, at Vector to alert him of the issue. I received a call from Connie from Vector that morning stating that I owed this money and that there was no note in my account regarding the 3-year term. I have since sent several more emails to Bobby Phillips and left several voicemails.

    I would have never knowingly signed a 5-year contract for monitoring. I had no idea that Vector would give me TWO different contract terms at the same time and date to sign. They are preying on elderly people and banking on the fact that they give customers an electronic signing pad where it's it to read everything that is being signed. I was told by the installer that I was signing the receipt of the installation NOT a different contract term similar to the one signed several minutes prior.

    I was impacted by Hurricane Milton and without power for several days, my alarm system backup battery needed to be replaced. When I did so, my alarm panel showed multiple error messages that I could not clear. Anthony **, patiently and professionally, walked me through several tests and had me send pictures of my box and radio frequency system to diagnose the issue. As it was multiple issues, he took the time that was needed to fix each and get me fully reset and running smoothly.     My wife and have had an almost 9 year service relationship with Vector Security in 2 different homes. We changed Internet/WIFI Provider 2 days ago. We tried all we could to connect our Doorbell/Monitoring camera to our new WIFI, to no avail. I called technical support for assistance and was blessed to have Tech Support Specialist Brittany ** assigned to assist me in resolving our problem.

    Brittany proved to be a very technically proficient, knowledgeable and committed to work patiently with me through all the needed actions necessary to restart the system. She quietly guided me through the actions needed step by step throughout. Ultimately she had to reboot the camera remotely, with me at the other end wing it as the camera light went from red to blue to white (several times) for a total of 27 minutes on the phone.     We have been having ongoing issues with our alarm that started beeping every two minutes one night. The next morning we replace the three batteries inside of the smoke detector. After putting those brand new batteries in it happened again, several days later, same issue again, took the batteries out, all the time calling Vector for guidance, we got a different story every time we called. They said they had to take down the system and then they had to restart the system after we put in the batteries.

    We must have called Vector and spoken to various people at least eight times since this issue has began. Currently, the system has been taken down as we are awaiting a response from Vector about getting a new smoke detector because they think it is defective. We've only been in the house for three years and it was put in by the builder we cannot live with the beeping Alerts going off and on. They wanted to send us out a technician but after reviewing we realized it would cost us about $450 which we can't understand why we have to pay for that when it's only a three-year-old house, we are still waiting for someone to get back to us about this issue.

    I recently contacted the service center to notify them that I was going away on vacation, as I have always done in the past. First of all, it took me 20 plus minutes to get thru to talk to someone. I then advised them that I was going away and wanted my notifications put in place when I am away. Well one week later when I called back to extend this I was told there was no away status in the system. After 20 mins on the phone I realized the person had no idea what I was talking about (She was the same person I spoke to a week prior/ Jeannette). I then asked to speak to a supv, who in turn tried to tell me that the person I spoke to must have misunderstood my request. Not sure what that was about because I have made this request in the past, numerous time (3-5 times/yr for the past 15 plus yrs).     I have notified Vector about the Away status on our system. Within 45 minutes of setting the system, I've received a phone call from Vector stating my alarm is going off. The first time I went back home and cancelled our trip. When we arrived home there was no problem. The second time we just told the rep to cancel the alarm. I've called twice about this and also talked to a salesman about it. Everyone says they can send a tech out but there is a service charge of $35. There is an obvious problem with the system, but Vector will not budge on the money. If there is something in the house causing the problem I have no issue in paying the service fee. If it's Vector's fault they should fix it with no service charge. If I the Stay setting there is no problem. This issue should be taken care of but I guess Vector doesn't care.

    The cellular communicator has never worked correctly/reliably for 6 years now. I have called multiple times and each time I'm told to throw money at the situation, so I have. I was sold a 5G upgraded unit with internet connectivity that was supposed to fix the issue, it did not. The installer walked around my business with his shirt off while he did the install of the device (I have a female working here, she was disgusted and I was extremely disappointed). I've had that for about a year and just found out the cellular portion doesn't even work when my internet connections is down. I was told again to pay $200+ first hour $80/hr for anything after for a service call when it's never worked correctly from the beginning. I told the person on the phone I'm giving ADT a call, and they absolutely did not care. I AM giving ADT a call, it doesn't matter the cost at this point, ADS/Vector can't get this fixed for 6 years, I've been more than patient and I am switching.

    Have been a customer for 30 plus years and have found that the after sale service has declined to a point where it is unacceptable. Although I have been paying additional for the security care plus, receiving service now typically take three to five weeks. I also have Vector on some rental units in a community that has a contract to provide service for close to 190 units and the same service issues also are experienced there. Upon investigation there have been some recent upper management changes at Vector and apparently some less than stellar choices have been made by the company. Service get a failing grade.

    Curtis was amazing. Came in well aware of what I needed and went above and beyond. He repaired the wall mount that had been removed and did it without making a mess. Friendly and outgoing. Was great with my two large dogs. He removed the nuisance panic button and another unknown button from under the desk making my workspace easier to navigate.
