This review is for a new to me, activation of a previously installed system. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly and was even able to come earlier than expected which was great! Working with Vector security so far has been a walk in the park. Thank you!

Vector Security has my home Security system for protection and Walter ** (Support Specialist) fixed my system when the connection the door bell camera lost connection. He was very knowledgeable and able to get it fix the problem.

The installation went very smoothly. Curtis was courteous and knowledgeable. He took time to show me the system and answered all my questions. The new upgraded panel is very slick. Would recommend Vector Security.

Walter ** was very cordial and walked me through the process of deleting notices sent to my email. It was a simple task but it taught me where to go to try resolve little issues before calling. I’ve always experienced great customer service from Vector!☺️

Curtis did a fantastic job. On time, polite and explained everything very clearly. The new system is amazing and so glad I had Curtis. As he has been here before and serviced my old system. I would recommend Curtis to anyone.

Nick done a great job with installing my outdoor camera. He arrived on time, called me the day before to confirm the appointment and was on time. Nick done clean work and was professional all the way through! Very pleased with his service and Vector Security.

Angel handled my situation with kindness and professionalism. She was very knowledgeable in dealing with my problems. I was able to “fix” the problems at hand except for the garage door app which is still unresolved. A technician might need to help with this at a later date.

The worst security company ever. I would rate it zero if possible. They sell service contracts that don’t cover anything. I have been paying them for 2.5 years with no service. Read the Yelp reviews and you will go to SimpliSafe better service and much cheaper.

I very recently wrote a 3 star review on Vector. I must add some corrections. After my latest and most unpleasant experience and talking with MANY people, I must say Vector went above and beyond to fix my issue. I have been with them many years and have never had a customer service issue until lately. I was notified on Monday someone would come and work on my system and Todd showed up.
After working for about an hour, thinking things were fixed, he left. At 7:30 AM this morning, I had to send him a text (he made sure I was able to contact him because I was so unhappy) because the same problem was happening, he assured me he would be here this afternoon (1/20/26). He came and fixed the problem and told me to contact him again. Some of my equipment has some age on it and we aren't sure of that is the problem; he changed out the item and so far, so good. After it became quite apparent of the issue, I told him communication was a key. I have received an email from one of the techs I talked with assuring me my satisfaction was most important.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I did have to wait several minutes for someone to get back to me. The technician, John **, was most helpful and efficient. He had to travel a long way to get to me at the end of the day but didn't let that affect his attitude. He was great. Thanks.

I’m very satisfied with the onsite technical support; however, customer service communication could be improved, particularly regarding response time and acknowledgment of inquiries. I submitted multiple inquiries to customercare@vectorsecurity.com and did not receive a response, so it may be helpful to confirm whether this address is functioning as intended.

Equipment battery low alarms go off constantly until technician changes batteries, some times it’s days of listening to loud beeping for low battery. If you try to change battery yourself you get tampering alarm every minute. Once you cancel contract there is no way to shut off alarms, they sent instructions to pull out battery but it is hardwired and beeps for all the motion detectors that have low batteries. Their instructions to shut it off were incorrect. Worst customer service ever.

I am not satisfied with the support from Vector Security. On December 11, 2025, I called Vector Security because our garage door would open on its own, without us activating it. The earliest date a technician could come from Vector Security was December 31, 2025, noon to 4 PM. On December 15th I called again because the door open again like before. We are in our eighties, and may not hear the door when we are sleep, we consider having an open garage door is not a secure situation. Therefore, I called to see how I can deactivate the garage door. I was told to remove the battery in the door sensor. Also, I was told that we would be called if an earlier appointment time comes available.
After no one had come, or called, by January 7, 2026, I called again. I was told our account showed that someone had stated that the problem had been resolved. We did not make that report. I was then told someone would come on January 21, 2026, unless an earlier time comes available. That means it is taking Vector Security more than a month to resolve an important problem with our security system, and we are paying for a system that is not working properly. To me that is not a good business practice. Eric **

I wanted to send a huge thank you to Logan ** Gregory and Howard (I'm sorry I didn't get his last name). They were so very kind and patient with me while trying to fix my login problem with Vector Security. My husband passed away 4 years ago and he took care of these things. I explained that and Logan and Howard were very encouraging and took excellent care of me. I have worked with the public for over 30 years and I know how hard it can be some days. I just wanted to you all know what a great team you have there and that's truly a blessing! Thank you so much!!

I have been a customer with Vector for the past several years. We recently had Vector install new cameras and update our security system. Our local sales rep, Jennifer, was very responsive to our needs. Unfortunately, your billing departments, both locally and regionally, failed to account for our payments, resulting in continuous demands for payments which had already been rendered. Also, it is nearly impossible to reach anyone in your organization to clear up the confusion. Wait times on the phone are unacceptable. If it weren’t for our sales rep giving me her direct number, I doubt this would have even been corrected.

Frank and Curtis very professional, knowledgeable and very good explaining the system. Both on time and friendly. Curtis showed us how to use system and app. Curtis explained everything very well with also showing us how to use with demo with app and system.

I have POA for my sister and I handle all her needs. The alarm was beeping and indicated there is a low battery issue. When I spoke with Brian, very polite, very professional, he indicated a service technician would be at the house on Monday, January 19th between 10:00am and 2:00pm. I inquired if we could get an earlier appointment but he stated he had none at the time but responded by saying if there is a cancelation, he will attempt to re-schedule. I feel that a 2 week wait for a 25 year customer should be given a bit of priority. No issues at all with Brian, he's just doing his job but corporate needs to take a better approach to long established customers. TYTY & SS

I have been trying for over 3 weeks to get my security system fixed. First they came out after I told him it was a camera. Technician did not have camera, said that someone would get a hold of me, no one did. Called them back, found out the camera is discontinued, said they were going to have to order new ones. A week later, no response. I'm trying to explain to them this is a security system, I have it coz I need it. I called today, they put me on hold and then the call was terminated. I've just about had enough. I would never buy from this company ever again

After my mom and dad passed away and I tried to cancel Vector monthly plan they had, the representative told me if I didn’t pay they would send it to a collection agency, I had to finally do all this paper work to get it canceled and would never refer anyone use this service!!!

Glenn ** is an excellent technician who came to resolve multiple security warnings of low batteries. He replaced most of the batteries with ones he had with him. He then reached out to another technician to obtain additional batteries to complete the job. Since all the batteries were at the end of their life, we are grateful to Glen for making the effort to successfully complete the job today. Thank you, Glenn!

Nick is a true professional! He originally installed the alarm and cameras at my home a few years ago. He’s now installing an alarm system and cameras at my Man cave today. Nick was on time and explained everything he was doing. His work was clean and professional! He deserves 5 stars across the board!

Extremely poor communication and customer service. I've never had to deal with a company this bad. Our motion detector has been having issues for 2 months. It constantly gives us false alarms in the middle of the night, our owners get phone calls, and the cops come to investigate. This must have happened a dozen times now. It's their call center that's terrible. I called once and they said for them to come out and even look at the issue it would be $220 for half an hour, then $101 after that.
Then the 2nd time I called, they said they could actually look at it for $35 and if it's an issue with the system that's not our fault, they wouldn't charge for fixing it. I called back with another question and this time the person answering said we didn't even have a service contract and it would be $220. They were adamant we didn't have a service contract. The 4th time I called, they said that was wrong, we do have a service contract. We then had someone scheduled to come look at the motion detector.
We get a phone call from their call center confirming the appointment and they say it's to replace batteries. I remind them we're doing this to look a the motion detector which has been giving false alarms. They say got it and that they will let the technician know. The technician gets here a week early but isn't even prepared to look a the motion detector. Doesn't have a ladder. He did not get the information that this was for the motion detector. He even admits that it's a mess at the office at Vector Security and there's been a bunch of communication issues lately. So he says he will get Vector Security to send someone back out to replace the motion detector.
A couple of days later, I email Vector Security tech support to confirm we are getting the motion detector replaced. They say we have an appointment about a week out. This is the appointment that previously scheduled, but they came a week early for. Of course, they don't confirm that this is for replacing the motion detector; they just say we have an appointment. I should have realized I need to confirm every little detail because they don't do it themselves. Of course, no service technician even showed and there was no communication as to why. The motion detector went off last night and the night before. This is still an ongoing issue with no resolution.

Nick originally installed my old ADT system years ago and he done a good job and he done a superb job upgrading that old system and switching me over to Vector Security! Nick is professional and very patient in answering all my questions and making sure I understood how to operate the new system! Nick is awesome and a true asset to Vector Security!

Y'all make it real difficult to login the account from the website. You cannot access the option on the website because you have it covered by "text us". I just want to pay my bill!! Fix it. There has to be a more simpler way to access your account online. I don't want to call to speak with someone. I want to pay online in peace.

Walter showed great patience in leading me through the steps to figure out why one of our house's motion detectors had been triggered despite the fact that there was no evidence of a break-in nor no low battery message on the keypad. It took a while, partly because our motion detector was an early model, but Walter succeeded in locating the problem - low batteries after all.

• Move the service to the new house and be locked into a brand-new 3-year contract.
No reasonable middle ground. No senior consideration. No flexibility at all. In my opinion, this is predatory and unethical, especially toward elderly customers who are simply trying to downsize and live within their means. Vector is fully aware they’re dealing with people on a fixed income and still chooses to trap them in either a large fee or another long-term contract they don’t want and didn’t ask for.
We asked about alternatives:• Could we transfer the remaining year to someone else?
• Could we downgrade to a cheaper plan for the last year?
• Could they reduce the fee given the circumstances?
Every answer was basically no. The message was clear: pay up or sign another long contract. This experience has completely destroyed any trust we had in Vector. If you’re considering them—especially for aging parents or grandparents—ask very direct questions about what happens if they move or their situation changes. Based on how my in-laws have been treated, I would strongly recommend avoiding Vector Security and choosing a company that doesn’t exploit loyal, elderly customers with rigid, one-sided contract traps.
