    Our alarm was having a problem and kept beeping. I called and got Chad on the phone. He walked me through resetting it and his attitude in helping me reset the system was fabulous. His instructions and patience really were first rate. I couldn’t wait for a service tech to come out as my 5 year old grandson has autism and would have had tremendous issues if the alarm kept beeping.     After spending hours and hours with customer service in the phone. They cancelled my service but continue to bill me for it. Contract was also supposed to be $55/month is I signed a 5 year agreement and they’ve raised the price with no notification. Their supervisor was supposed to contact me and never did so I’m being billed for a service I don’t have and don’t want. Do not sign with them.

    Nick installed my alarm system 4yrs ago. He was professional and courteous then and Nick is still that same way now! I had upgraded my ISP and WiFi info changed. Nick was patient with me and worked to answer all my questions. I’m 87yrs old and Nick was very patient with me and made sure everything worked properly as it should!     Have had my security system at this house since the fall of 2003. Have been calling with an issue since June 18, 2025, and then I’ve called back many times in between every single month people put me on hold. Tell me they’ll call me back said they’ll schedule an appointment. Don’t call me back and issue still has not been fixed and I’m getting tired of having to call Vector to try to get it fixed and nobody to call me back. It’s great that everyone takes my money for a service that they can’t even provide for Me. Today is 11/9/2025 and we also have five houses total on Vector systems which I’m looking to possibly move because I see the service is going downhill.

They are sitting there working but can't send events. Your price to replace seemed quite high.     Vector Security has been good until my latest issue. I sent in a service request on October 19th. I received a call on October 20th that someone would be calling me to set up an appointment. I did not receive a call until October 23 scheduling an appointment for October 30th. I was not able to arm my system for 2 weeks due to the large number of windows and doors reporting malfunction. When the Titan Protective Services technician arrived he only replaced the batteries reporting a malfunction. Two days later I receive an automated call that another window battery was low. I will now have to send in another request and take time off from work to wait for a technician.

    It's funny that Vector should send me a article about a outdated System. I called to inform Vector that my keypad has a message stating that the battery needs to be replaced. I have yet to hear from Vector about a battery or even replacing the whole keypad.

    NOT SO GOOD!! I have a glitch in my system; my main screen says I have 8 alerts, and I have been told I need a battery in the system. I am paying the premium, and parts are covered, although I have been informed I have to pay a service charge. I have called on these alerts and been told they are on back order. Weeks later, I call to get an update and am told all is fine on their end (still have alerts on systems). I have tried to call Ken with Vector with no reply from him. I have asked for adjustments on billing if they can't get it fixed with NO REPLY. If this doesn't get resolved SOON, I am out of here and going to Vivint Home Security very quickly. I need a system that will service their equipment and not give you a run around!!

    Old sensors which we were not aware of were installed less than a year ago. Upstairs smoke keeps giving tamper issues. We changed battery and it has worked for a month! Going off again. We just turn the volume off! Don’t know when the CO monitors will be checked. Notification system is CYA. They think a phone call message is sufficient notification is legal! Customer service is very lacking. No phone response. Can hardly wait for our time to be up to cancel your inadequate company.

    We have been with Vector Security for well over 25 years, we pay the extra $10 a month for warranty service. Two weeks ago, our pad started beeping, telling us we had low battery. We called your service department to report this, they told us a service man couldn't come for four (4) days. In the meantime, we started getting a beeping telling us the battery was bad, we called again, and the service man told us he would remove that location and stop the beeping. We still got the beeping during the night at least 3 times. Service man came Friday afternoon and replaced several batteries. We received a bill in the mail and was charged gas $35. Why are we paying the extra $10 per month and please send me his schedule that afternoon so I can see how many other customers that were gouged, he didn't just come to service us. I am looking into another security system.

    When I called to tell the company that they were not supposed to be calling me*, but rather the police, if an alarm went off, I also asked if there was anything that would make the alarm louder in my upstairs. We have had some recurrent problems lately but that's not what I am angry with Vector about. A new smoke alarm was installed and it was smaller than the old one which left a gaping hole in the ceiling. I would think that the hole would be covered up with a plate or something but it was not. When I called to complain about the open hole I was told nothing would be done to fix it. This is not acceptable to a long standing customer.

    I want to commend Chadd (Senior Technical Support Specialist) for coming to the rescue. Upon returning home from vacation, our alarm system was malfunctioning, which caused our alarm to trip.     Good system, but your touchscreen should have the cameras showing instead of scenery. Came from Cox & the live feed cameras stayed on the screen so we could see who’s at the door without going thru steps. I personally see no need for scenery on a alarm system panel. Being able to see your cameras at all times will be way better than viewing scenery. Please look into changing this feature.

    Cameras and app are so antiquated and not user friendly like the Ring cameras. Love the techs that did the install and follow up is fantastic. Have had 3 other alarm companies and this is a great company with decent prices, my only complaint is with the cameras and app. Camera system is useless compared to Ring camera system and way more expensive. For the price of 2 cameras and the useless app with no zoom in capabilities (double click on screen to see close up of video in the middle only, can’t move around so if subject is not in center you can’t see beyond that).

    I could have purchased a whole house system and 4 outdoor floodlight cameras with Ring and the fantastic app features. Ring videos you can move all around video taken and when message alert comes up that there is motion on your Ring camera it takes you to the video instantly, unlike the app with the cameras Vector offers, you get message alert and have to open up the app, go to activities then click on the video which doesn’t allow a full zoom in and most of the time the subject is so far away it’s impossible to see especially when zoom in only takes you to the center of the video (wtf is that good for). Lesson learned and hopefully you buy cameras elsewhere but the security system inside (doors, windows) and monitoring is as good as any out there and the techs are top notch. I had 3 different homes monitored by vector and I would use again, just wouldn’t buy cameras. ;) GL

    I cancelled my service on April 23, 2025. Was sent an email saying I would receive a refund of $46. It's July 10th 2025 and I still haven't received it after calling them twice and being told I would get it. Their service is not good and cameras doesn't capture videos or correct images. What a mistake, when you call you are on hold for up to an hour. if you leave a call back number no one gets back to you. I need help with the new technology and am unable to get it.     Bruce ** (P) of the Vector Security office in Plymouth Meeting in Pennsylvania, did an amazing job for all parties involved in a house we rent out when our old security system was damaged by a previous tenant. He spent time answering all of our questions about replacing our security keypad and how a contract for monitoring the home for our new tenants might work in a rental property. Then Bruce took the time to learn what our tenants would need in the way of active monitoring.

    As a bonus to our tenants, he offered a new security system for their new residence when they vacate our home. All parties had questions which Bruce answered with patience, confidence, and by being immediately available by phone. Bruce gave us, the property owners, assurances in writing as to the cost and how the system would work. It was wonderful to work with a sales representative who was accountable for what he said and he was on the premises when the technician installed the new system. If only all contractors like Bruce **.

    I don't even know where to begin with how terrible our experience was. The contract is vague and full of loopholes, and every time we called customer service, we were given a different answer. We just wanted to know what happens to the cameras when we sell our home—simple question, right? Instead, we were told alternately that we own them, the house owns them, Vector owns them, and then we own them but have to pay to uninstall them if they’re available to do it. Make it make sense. In the end, we decided to leave the system for the new buyers—And we made very sure to tell them not to bother with Vector.

    We called to close our account and told them that we were moving. Instead of asking for a move-out date, they shut off our system immediately—Even though I had paid for the full month and was still locked into six more months of payments! So we had no security, no garage openers, no doorbell—for 8 weeks—despite still paying for it. When we called to ask them to reactivate it, we were told they could turn it off remotely but couldn’t turn it back on unless we paid them to come out in person. I'm sorry, what?!

    We asked if they could at least meet us halfway and comp the time we paid for without service. Instead of being reasonable, we were talked over, yelled at, and blamed—by almost every rep we spoke to. Amy **, a manager, was one of the worst offenders. If that’s who’s training the team, it explains a lot. Bottom line: Avoid this company at all costs. Nothing but stress, bad service, and money wasted.

    Purchased new home. Vector salesman showed up at door with no appointment. After the salesman left, I’m 72 and ambulance had to take me to ICU after he left. Vector knew my builder was providing security and I did not know. 4 days after ICU, came home, Vector installed their products. Basic security is $39.95 monthly, they charge me $64.99 for 60 months. Please be aware before getting involved with Vector. They refuse any customer service to resolve any of the problems and complaints I have with this cold, money hungry company. I wasn’t given a receipt.

    The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. There are plenty of home security providers so you want to use one that can promptly and professionally resolve your issues should they arise. I’ve spoken to all levels of Vector employees and it seems they are trained to scream, yes scream like hormonal teenagers, and interrupt you while on the phone. The security service was nothing special and the customer service was nonexistent. I’ve received better customer service from McDonald’s. Steer clear. All they care about is money. There is zero concern for the customer or provision of the service.

    Referred to us by another Housing Authority. We signed a contract in Jan 2023 to have the cameras at one of our sites replaced along with the entry system and fire call/alarms. In April of 2025 we received a $336,933 bill for the install which still was not complete after 2 years. I had to call and tell them we weren't going to pay until the Job was complete. Somebody had a major screw-up with our job. They did finally come out and finish what needed to be done so we could properly test. But of by that time a couple of motors needed to be replaced because they were not working. May have been bad 2 years ago when they started, but seeing how we didn't get to test the system in a timely manner, we will never know. I would call and email about when they were coming just to have them tell they will be out, "We call you." Never would show & never called.

I was able to speak to a young lady who said she was forwarding it to Tech Support. No one got back with me. I called the regional manager's office. I called corporate. No answer. I called today and pressed 1 for call back. Nobody called back. I was told by Chad problem with phone systems. SINCE JANUARY???? I'm considering taking this whole system out and putting a new one in with another company!! The most important characteristic to me when I deal with a company is customer service not price!

    I can't tell you how frustrated I am with your very poor customer service. If I had to rate you, I would give you a -1. I have never had this experience with any other company since I've been an adult. To add insult to injury, We've had to continue to pay for this very poor service! My husband and I both are physicians and we know the importance of good customer service, which we've always given our patients. I really wish we had never had your system installed! I would never recommend your system to anyone, no matter how much you paid me.

    Every time I call them press the button to get where I need to be transferred to only to be told I'm in the wrong place. That call involves being on hold for 30 minutes or longer and when I finally get someone on the phone they cannot find my account. My guess it that this company is several different companies under the same name and only some departments can help you.     I have had security service with ADS, the company you bought, for over 30 years. The contract that I had with them included free maintenance of both service and parts. I'm sure if you view my contract you can verify this information to be true. ADS in the past has had to come to my house and repair or replace parts on a few occasions in the past. Because of the contract they never charged anything. Now, it seems that Vector Security doesn't want to honor my contract and so far the service being provided has been horrendous. Nobody with your Nashville, TN location answers the phone. All you seemingly can do is leave messages, which nobody will timely return a phone call back to me. I don't consider 5 days later as timely. I am contemplating contacting the Better Business Bureau in Nashville and make them aware of this lack of service. Tried twice to schedule someone to as replace since it is at the top of the vaulted ceiling. Both appts were no shows, without explanation, so a third was never scheduled. Panel doesn't indicate active status anymore when we attempt to program.

    I have been a Vector Security customer for over 25 years and in that time, I have seen their costs increase without adding anything of value or increased quality of services. I have the VIP plan, and up until several years ago, that plan entitled me to service calls for my home security system. Now, I have to pay an ADDITIONAL dispatch fee of $25 on top of the monthly costs. Every time I turn around, Vector is increasing their fees. I would advise people to look to cheaper security systems like Ring. They are just as good at a fraction of the price. We will soon be leaving Vector as we simply cannot afford their services any longer.

    Warning: do NOT use Vector Security for your alarm system. I had no issues with ADT. I’ve had many problems with Vector - daily problems. The cameras don’t work intermittently, the WiFi disconnects nearly every day, smoke alarms are not working, automatic lights are not working as examples. My WiFi is the fastest and strongest HTC provides - and no other products (TV, Sirius, phone, etc.) have issues or disconnect. I do have emails and alerts showing these failures. They are coming out in 8 days to hopefully correct these issues. To be fair, I couldn’t make an appointment offered on this Friday. Despite these issues, they will not release me from the contract. I never should have switched.
