My smoke detectors were needed to be updated. Jeff arrived in time slotted. Alarms were fixed and main station checked. Because of distance of main station and master bedroom he suggest a keyfob. This I really appreciated. I’ve used Vector for many years and have always been satisfied. Only suggestion for you would be that the older we get passwords can be forgotten. Please have a question with them to help. Judy

Sean ** provided exceptional service to help resolve my alarm signal issues. In addition to fixing the initial problem, he also made me aware of the alarm app I could be using to manage my system remotely from my iphone...something I had not been aware of at all these past five years! He was courteous and professional and thorough.

HOA monitors system. Rod ** serviced the alarm system. We found him to be totally competent and professional. He went over the techniques of manning the alarm, detailing how the alarm works and making sure we knew how it functioned.

Thru the Canes. Install went smoothly. No issues. Very professional. Joe and Josh and Jeremy came out and things went very well. They were here on time and did very thorough work. Joe was here earlier and informed us in depth about what would be installed.

Vector Security came and installed cameras at my house. I’ve been having problems with people causing issues and I felt like I needed a camera system. Vector came out and installed four cameras And I bought an additional two that will be installed at a later time. I’m super happy with Nathan the installer. He did everything very neat and was very pleasant to be around.

We have had Vector for several years and needed an upgrade on our current system. Service technician was extremely patient and very knowledgeable. Couldn't have asked for better service and would always welcome our technician back into our home. Excellent service - great technician!!

They NEVER respond to customer issues, even if you're trying to add a service. Initially I tried to add a new back yard cam, no one got back to me. Then my video doorbell stopped working, 2 months now, put a ticket in and no one ever got back to me. I have complained numerous times, no one ever got back to. DO NOT USE VECTOR!!!

The technician, Ray, came out today to service how home and get the doorbell camera working properly again. He also got the app working on our other phone as well. He was very polite and professional and we appreciate his service.

My interactions with entire staff was great and efficient. Bill the technician was courteous and professional. He was an excellent representative of Vector Security. Bill was on time for the appointment and called 30 minutes out to inform me that he was on his way.

Initial reason I picked Vector was due to the deal but when Ethan came to install and seeing how dedicated he was I got double assured that I made the right move. Ethan was very helpful and explained things in super detail. Best experience I got from Ethan.

I previously had Vector and loved the service I received. My only complaint would be that since I may not be here for longer than a year or two I was not able to get the service with the cameras that I really desire. However, I understand this policy is to keep down cost to the customer.

On 8/12/19, I had my garage cleaned by two individuals, one of which I have known over 20 years. The same day, I noticed some items were missing from my garage. The next morning, I contacted the two individuals about the missing items and they denied taking the items. I immediately checked my video cameras and I saw the individual I’ve known for 20 years, who I thought was a trusted individual, with the items placing them in the bed of his truck. I contacted Vector on 8/13/19 and explained to them what I observed on my camera of the theft and they informed me they will send a message to Optom to contact me. Two days passed, no response from Vector or Optom. On 8/15/19, I called Vector again and I explained the urgency of the camera record needed of the theft on 8/12/19. Vector informed me they will send a message to Optom and they will contact me.
Five days passed, still no response from Vector or Optom. On approximately, 8/20/19, I called Vector again and explained the many requests for someone to come to my home so they can retrieve the 8/12/19 record of the theft before it’s too late and the recording would no longer be available. Vector again said they will send a message to Optom and then gave me a direct, local phone number to contact Optom. I called Optom and I explained the urgent matter. The Optom representative told me they could not get to my home until 8/27/19.
I explained that the video of the theft may no longer be available by then and that I needed immediate help with this matter. Shockingly, I was told they could not get to me until 8/27/19, and more shocking is that Optom instructed me to unplug my box in an effort to freeze the camera recordings until they can see me on 8/27/19. I expressed to Optom the total dissatisfaction I feel and the fact that a break in could take place and my cameras are not recording now, because I was informed to unplug the box until Optom can come to home. I unplugged the box, and was without cameras recording.
On Tuesday, 8/27/19, no visit, no call, and no response from Vector or Optom. On Wednesday, 8/28/19, I received a call from Optom to inform me they will need to make an appointment to come to my home and a service charge will be due upon their arrival. I informed Optom that they failed to come to the previously scheduled appointment on Tuesday, 8/27/19 and this was an appointment I needed two weeks prior due to the urgent matter and I had to explain the situation over again because clearly Optom had forgotten! Therefore, Optom sent the service tech to my home two hours later. When the service tech arrived, I explained the need of the recordings from service date of 8/12/19 between the hours of 5:30pm-7:30pm.
The service plugged the box back in and immediately informed me that he was not able to retrieve the recordings from 8/12/19 between the specified hours. I immediately said this is unacceptable and I will call Vector to cancel the service immediately. The service tech left and I called Vector to cancel the service. After more than 15 minutes of wait time and still no answer, I left a voicemail message to request my home security services be cancelled immediately. The outgoing message states that I will be contacted within 24 hours. Based on the previous service I have personally received with Vector and Optom, a return call within 24 hours would be highly unlikely. Therefore, I am now in search for a more professional, reliable, efficient, and prompt home security service! R.

Rick and Curtis were well informed and very easy to work with. All the products and services were gone over and exactly what we were looking for. Every question we had was gone over. Window alarm kept going off. Jeff was very polite and kept me informed of the problem and what he was doing to resolve it. He renumbered my alarms to make it easier and set the chime. I was very pleased the service and his professionalism.

We went with Vector Security about a month ago and the tech came out and installed the system. We had to wait for a doorbell to come in stock and Nathan came out to install that as well. Nathan was a great technician and very knowledgeable. He helped us out on understanding our system and answered every single one of our questions that we had about the system. We also bought another camera for the driveway and he set up tripwires that made us feel safe. Our kids are now able to go outside and we feel safe about them being out there knowing that will get notifications if they cross a certain area of the yard. Amazing technology with an amazing company.

Even though my issue could not be resolved without it costing me an additional $160.00, I appreciate the professional, knowledgeable, and courteous service I always get from my Tallahassee Vector Security office. Orsino and Trey, as well as the office staff, especially Shannon, couldn't be any more pleasant or helpful to work with. I did not choose to spend the $160.00, which I think was too much money for a loyal customer of 14 years, but I highly recommend this company anyway for their superior service.

I was referred by staff of my house's builder. Staff is professional and responsive to my issues and concerns. Value is good, but the market has become very competitive. I can use the Vector app to arm and disarm my system on my device. Some companies provide inexpensive camera surveillance as part of their packages, but I like Vector. The monitoring staff are professional and respond if my alarm is trigger.

Well, for starters this job was slightly delayed due to medical issue from the previous tech. Kinda a bummer that the 4 day quoted job ended up taking about a month, but life goes on and we were glad he was alright. Had the old touchscreen alarm with doorbell camera and now upgrading to the newer touchscreen panel with camera onboard as well as an exterior camera. Keypad was relocated to a better location. System is working! We are satisfied with Vector Security and a long term customer with them.

Vector Security came out and installed a sensor on my sliding glass door. They always do a great job and I’m very happy with them. Nathan again came out to install the door sensor and he is always very professional from the time he gets here till the time he leaves. We have had Vector for 10 years. We have always had good service from Vector and the system has worked flawlessly for us. Kevin did an excellent job on the install of our three cameras today. When I asked about a product like the Ring doorbell he explained your product and in fact we decided to add it to our system based on the information he gave us. He is very personable and easy to get along with. He was very conscientious about leaving the house in the same condition it was. When he was in and out of the house he was careful to leave his shoes at the door and wear booties. I would recommend him highly to my friends.

We had Vector Security come out and install their system in our house about six weeks ago and we decided to add doorbell cameras. Nathan came out and installed the doorbell cameras and answered all of my questions about the system and fixed a couple issues we were having with our system. This was the best customer service I have ever had. He treated me like a priority and wasn’t worried about anything else but getting me the help that I needed. This is a great representation of a company. I want to thank vector security and reassure them that I am a happy customer and that I feel comfortable with them as my security provider.

I saw on a community facebook page that a neighbor worked for a security company, so, when looking for an alarm system, I decided to give my business to someone who lives in my borough. Jeff ** came to my home and gave me a reasonable quote, so we scheduled the installation for August 22. He was very thorough, personable and professional. He cleaned up after himself and went through all of the cool things that the system can do. The panel is extremely easy to use and I love that I can use my phone to arm and disarm the system. I am extremely happy with my system and will recommend Jeff and Vector to neighbors who might be looking to get an alarm system.

After a year of maintenance issues with our system in Virginia, I was able to get some action and expertise from the Director of Customer Service based in Richmond and she immediately sent Mark ** out who has a particular expertise and he identified the issue we were having and had two recommendations for remedy. The first did not work but the second did, both solutions required additional equipment which Vector supplied since our system had not been working since its installation over a year ago. Mark was professional and knowledgeable and should be commended. Thank you.

I recently brought a new home and the system was already installed there and I’ve seen Vector Security signs and logos around town and other places I’ve visited. The manager is afraid to call me because of inferior product and incompetent service. We have had nothing but problem since we installed your system and we want to discontinue using your inferior product. This was verified by one of your service people. My wife has left messages for him to call and he hasn’t and I left a message for him to call. Must be afraid of the truth.

I've been with Vector for a few years with no issue until my system stopped communicating. I placed a call and they sent someone out at my convenience over the weekend. Turns out they had to replace a part so someone else came out again th next weekend at my convenience. The tech named Dell took his time to explain everything he was doing and told me what steps he would take in the process. He took his time to install and test the system and allowed me to complete testing as well for my comfort level. I was pleased with service and level of professionalism and care. Great company!

Upgraded my alarm system. Rigel, the technician was on schedule and courteous. He was very fun and very informative. He played with my dog and made the transition to a new system very easy. My father entered a 5 year contract in FL. When he passed, Vector Security refused to release us from the contract without paying out the balance for the remaining 4 years. That was uncouth to me. I moved my mother to NY and continued the contract here as this was preferable to making a payment and receiving no services.
The Vector sales rep who worked with us for the installation was great. The installation team was great. The security services provided were good. The surveillance camera and the corresponding app were not helpful. Customer service as it relates to account information was poor. Customer service as it relates to emergency responses was awesome.
As soon as my contract ended I called on multiple occasions to ascertain the cancellation process. I was transferred to the "cancellation department" and left several messages before actually getting to someone. This took about 3 months. When I received the instructions to submit my request in writing, it took an additional 6 weeks and 2 payments for my contract to be cancelled. This was frustrating. I cancelled the monthly draft at the level of my bank since I could not predict WHEN Vector would actually stop withdrawing payments. It was only when they called me to follow up with my "delinquent" payment history that we were able to rectify this situation.
I want to acknowledge the billing representative who absorbed my frustrations and did not return them but actually did the research, called me back, got me to a manager, and got me a refund. I don't remember her name, but the point of all of this is that there are good workers/staff in this company. But there is a serious problem with follow through on the administrative level, particularly as it relates to accounts.

Had System in Pennsylvania and transferred service to my new home in North Carolina. Always had good experience with Vector and still had a few years left on my contract. Wasn't sure if I could have it on a military base and it all worked out. The installer came in and set everything up and now I feel nice and safe again.

If you want service and not excuses, find another company. They provide you with a 2 hour window, and never make it to your house in that window. They use a scheduling program that sends the technicians all over multiple counties and there is no way they can get to your location on time. First technician they sent out had a lot of corporate experience, but no residential and couldn't fix the problem. With their scheduling software, they kept trying to send out the same technician. A total waste of time. Upon talking to the branch manager, all I got was excuses.

The technician Nick showed up on time and had a good attitude from the start! He did a thorough site survey and answered all questions we had regarding the alarm installation and my internet. The system was already wired for Vector so we were just continuing the service that had already been established. They updated the system for me to the cell phone service at no charge since the previous owner had hardwired phone service.

Because Vector were able to offer outside cameras which was my biggest concern that wasn't met with Vivint alarm service. They also offered a contract buyout. Mr. ** was able to reinstall the cameras and complete the set-up in a timely manner and he was very professional during the whole process.

We have been with Vector since the change over of our alarm service company. We are quite pleased with the service and the technician, Mr. ** who came today Monday, Aug 19th to service our home alarm system. He installed a new keyboard, replaced the old battery with a new one and in addition replaced the transformer. Prayerfully there will be no more beeping alarms in the middle of the night waking us up.

I was experiencing problems with my alarm system with one of the sensor tampers going into alarm and making my keyboard beep constantly. I called the Poughkeepsie office and spoke to Salena who was very helpful. She arranged for a service technician to come to my home almost immediately. When the technician David arrived, he went right to work and solved the mystery as-to why it was beeping and fixed the problem by replacing the transmitter.

They practice the dreadful Auto renewal. Our salesman told us we were only obligated for 3 years service but after we disconnected and turned in our notice, they told us we needed to finish out the year. We have not used the service for 5 months and have told them repeatedly. They have called and called and are still sending bills adding new charges! I WILL BE DOING GOOGLE REVIEWS, AND CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ANYWHERE I CAN.

Long standing customer, I called and was told I would have to call for a free inspection. My last was in 2015 and I believe I was given false information and someone should have contacted me in 2017 for an free inspection as part of my service. Vector Security just got done installing my security system. I’m extremely happy with the final product. The panel talks to you letting you know what doors are open and what windows are open and I love that feature. I believe Vector has a lot of great technology to offer. The technician Nathan came out and installed my system. I couldn’t be more happy with how he handled himself and was very polite. I normally feel on comfortable with strangers in my house but when he arrived and was in my house I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. Definitely helps knowing that vector has people like Nathan working for them. I’m glad to be a vector customer.

After being damaged by a storm, my security system needed a much overdue update. I am a person that uses my system all of the time. The technician who came to update my system was Aaron. He was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the system. The work was completed in a timely fashion and when complete, Aaron explained the new system to me and made sure that I was comfortable using it before he left. My installer Rigel arrived on time. He was on time, professional and courteous. He was patient and explained everything so that I could understand. The main office could be better informed or could have told me in advance that there is a service charge. They could have asked a few more questions to determine if what I was asking for was even possible, because of the age of the system it is not so this was kind of a waste of time for everyone.

We had the security installed for about 13 years with Certified Security and it later became Vector Security. We had good customer service all throughout 13 years. For couple of instances (all of them are false alarms) of alarm, we received call immediately.

Vector just came in and installed my security system. I’m very happy with the outcome. The technology is great and the customer service was awesome. Tony the salesman did a great job with her presentation. She was very nice and wasn’t too pushy. Nathan came out and installed the system and educated me on how to use it. My opinion about Vector is everybody should be with this company. The technician Nathan went above and beyond to help me out. I was having issues with my spectrum Wi-Fi and he could have just walked out the door but he took it upon himself to help me fix whatever was going on and now my Wi-Fi works great. He said he used to work for spectrum and that he would give me a hand and I was very very happy that he was able to fix that. Definitely shout out to Nathan for Doing what he should have and going above that. Definitely grateful for Vector and the employees they have working for them.

My property flooded in Sept 2017. Needed my security system. I was given instructions by staff at Vector that I could not make any decisions on my alarm system that I had to meet with a technician at the property to walk through the house and they could show me where and what would be needed. I had told the Vector rep that I currently lived 5 hours from the house where the security system would be placed. I was assured that it could not be done that I had to meet a technician at the home. I made an appointment for July 15 between 8-10 am so that I could return home for an appointment at 5pm.
I left Sunday and checked into a hotel and then went to the house at 7:30am. I waited till 9:30 and made a call to Vector and at that time the rep said that she saw no appointment made. I told her that was unacceptable. I needed to talk with the technician because I had come over 5 hours to make the appointment. I needed to secure the house because appliances and flooring were being placed in house.
The lead technician called me and he was in Jacksonville doing a job and that he had told someone in the office that I didn't need to be at the house for this. I told him that no one had tried to call me about not coming to the house. I checked my voicemail and I called home and no message was left for me. He said he was sorry and it would take him sometime to arrive where I was probably around 1 pm which was not my plan. I had to be back in NC by 5 pm. The technician said there was nothing he could do but have me go back home and look online for a system. I told him that was what would of been the easiest for me and I was told I couldn't do that. I had to walk through house with a technician and he needed to explain what I needed. He told me that was not needed. That I could of done by phone or online.
Total frustration at that time. I turned around and went home. Vector never returned a call to me to find out or work with me and today on July 15th I called and talked with a rep on phone. I have no intention of having Vector place an alarm system in my home since this has happened. I want any fees waived which I don't understand why I even have fees since the rep told me I was on a month to month. What could you possibly be monitoring for that fee and why would I even be on a month to month with no system. This is poor business and Vector should look into this. It cost me an unnecessary 5 hour trip, hotel overnight stay, gas and food plus my time. This inconvenience caused you to lose me as a customer. Judith

My cameras went down again due to power outages and I called Vector security and a service tech was dispatched within a reasonable timeframe due to my time schedule. The service tech was very knowledgeable, he’s been to my house on other occasions with other problems not due to defective equipment, however due to power outages and cable company changes in service. The service tech was very nice, very polite and very knowledgeable with what the problem was, and when there was a problem he reached out for assistance and it was given. Number one service in my book!

Our alarm system repeatedly made a noise when there was a situation like low batteries or services necessary. We called and followed verbal directions. The system would begin to make the noise again. It became frustrating and we discussed whether or not we really needed a security system and decided to cancel.

Called for help logging in and to schedule installation of driveway monitors. Both the sales lady and the lady helping with logging in were wonderful. They solved my issues, were patient, professional, and friendly. Have scheduled installation of driveway monitors and am again able to log into the app.

I just had Nathan come out and install my doorbell and it turned out fantastic. I used to have Vivint Security and I had a doorbell installed with them and I always love the feature. This doorbell seems to be better quality and have a lot better resolution. I love that you can answer it through the app and that it’s only seven dollars per month. Thanks again Vector.

I had a few sensors giving me trouble and I also had recently finished my basement, so I had a handful of issues to be taken care of and some new work to be done. The tech (Jeff) called me 1/2 hour prior to arriving as I had requested. Jeff was arrived as planned and immediately began to trouble shoot. Jeff was very friendly and professional. He took care of all of my problems and recommend a few things to have the system operate better and avoid troubles down the road. Very happy with the service call.

Vector is an outstanding company. Jim ** and Todd ** are very valuable employees. Jim a great sales representative Todd a great installer. He was very knowledgeable with alarm.com and security systems. He was quick and cleaned up after himself. I recommend Vector Security to anybody who want an alarm system.

Everything went great with Steve the Technician, he knew everything he needed to do and fully executed the job. Cameras, Doorbell, keypads were installed with skill. He made sure everything was complete without hesitation to go over everything I could only hope to get Steve again.

I just had Vector out again for an installation. The first install didn’t go so well but vector made it right by sending out another technician Nathan. The system that was in my house was older and they was willing to swap out for a new one. Now that Nathan has installed this new one everything is working exactly how I want it to be. I’m very happy to be a part of vector. They seem to really care about the customer And their satisfaction.

It went very well. Rep was very patient and informative. She took her time to explain the issues at hand. April did everything in her power to help with the issue even though the issue at hand had to be resolved taking additional steps. She explained Why. I had to find out why the problem at hand had to be review because I had to reseach a change in the info in the TC app.

Vector Security just came out and updated my security system. I now can use my system with the app and arm and disarm. I love the thought that I don’t have to drive clear back to my house to or my system if I forget. Nathan did the install and was a great representation of the company. He was very knowledgeable and explain things in detail that me and my wife can understand. Now I understand why I signed up with factor in the beginning. They are a great company that has great people working for them. I recommend vector security to everyone.

The reason I signed up with Vector Security is that my daughter, Vicky has them and she recommended them. All the employees have been nice and polite and have responded to my needs when I call. I got calls prior to the arrival time of the technician to service my system. I would recommend Vector Security and if someone comes to mind or asks about my alarm company, I will share my experiences.

Mary ** is an excellent Sales Rep. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of home alarm systems. She has a great personality and very customer oriented. She spent several hours discussing my needs for my home and laid out a plan to switch from my old service provider to Vector. Installation rep was excellent and answered all my questions and made sure I had all the pertinent contact info before departing.

The batteries in our wireless sensors were failing too quickly. Apparently there was a manufacturer issue. Terry came out, early, and replaced all the faulty sensors. More than 30 of them. On a Saturday. Good guy. Did a great job. Thanks!

I was in town and my alarm went off. I always have my phone with me but Vector called my friend instead of me. They never sent the police out at all. I’ve been with Vector a long time and my house has been broken in to about 3 times. There’s no excuse for this whatsoever. I tried calling Vector over and over and I couldn’t get through to them. What kind of service is this!

Nick did a great job installing the cameras outside and inside! I have been a customer of Vector for the past 7 years. I am not sure if they have new management but the service this past year has been horrible, If I am not holding for 20-30 minutes at a time to talk to someone, I have to take time off of work to let someone into my home to fix issues that should have been done the first time. Here it is another issue and I again have to take time off of work. This company is inconsiderate of peoples times. The agents you talk to when you call in speak to you very curt and it seems like it's a bother for them to do their job.
