My technician Phil arrived on time, was respectful and courteous. He made sure I understood everything about the system as well as cleaned up before he left. It was a very positive experience and I would recommend Vector Security to my family and friends based on his service.

Vector was my first experience with home security and I have been thoroughly pleased with this system. I installed the system a few months after the death of my husband; it brought me a great deal of comfort! Today Chris serviced the system. I was referred over by my mom and dad. They have had Vector for years. I really enjoyed their system so I decided to get one of my own. The vector technician came out and installed the system and did a great job. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final product and I do recommend vector security to anyone that is looking for a security system.

I had excellent service from David ** today, Dave was very professional, kept me informed of every step he was doing and I would definitely recommend him to do any service for me. Dave had to get to the attic, he had no problem helping me move a lot of stuff to get to the pull down so the attic could be accessed, and he had no problem helping me put the stuff back after he was finished in the attic. I want to thank Jose for coming out, he did a great job. We had a sales rep come out and said he was with Vector and scammed us, he switched everything to the other company but Jose came out and fixed it back to Vector, thank you for fixing everything.

Long time customer. Dave ** has provided excellent service on now three service calls. The system has functioned as expected after each service, no need for repeat calls about the same issue. That keeps us happy; we like Dave and enjoy his visits, but don’t want to have him have to do service calls too frequently.

Chris was on time. Was very professional and knowledgeable. He replaced the batteries that were defective and a couple of additional batteries that were suspect. He conducted the testing which seemed to be successful. I believe the issue has been solved. Thanks.

Your service technician Dave ** was very professional. I had two low batteries in carbon monoxide detectors, you recommend replacing the batteries and all three of them. I also had a low battery in a window sensor, he replace that battery also. The trouble did not clear right away. He stayed until he did. I wanted to delete the CO detectors but he explained to me I paid for him and my service contract covers them so I might as well keep them and I agreed.

We have been having problems with our door locks not working properly. Justin ** came out and was able to diagnose the cause of our issues and in turn replaced the locks. He was friendly and made sure to test the new locks and was able to make the same keys open both of the locks. Thank you!

We’ve had Vector Security for 8 or 9 years and we just bought our new home and wanted Vector Security to protect it. So after we moved in we called Vector Security and they came right out and got our estimate and we couldn’t pass up the deal so we signed up and Ethan Showed up 5 minutes early for the installation and he greeted me with a very professional attitude and we talked about the whole installation and he got right to work. I couldn’t be more pleased and happy with the installation technician. He was a very professional and friendly. We chose Vector for the reliable reputation, cost, and referral from family. Derek went above and beyond to fix our front door issue when installing the deadbolt keypad. He patiently tried and tried again until he fixed it. He walked us through the app and showed us how to work our new system with great explanation. This is for a repair. It went well. Technician was on time. Installed new speaker in a timely fashion. He was very courteous and helpful. I also am currently having a programming issue with the heat/cool settings on my COntrolled thermostat. The technician is also looking at this also to get it right. The settings for auto fluctuate up a couple degrees.

I was with ADT and Vector gave me a whole lot better deal with them and a lot more for my money. I needed my shop secured as well as my house, but ADT didn't provide that. I have not had any problems with any of the Vector staff and I would refer, and have referred, anyone to them.

The service was technician, Dave **, was brilliant. He fixed everything I’ve been waiting to fix for years. Dave ** pull the wires out of the old system which I asked him to do when they installed the new one and every service appointment after that. He cut the wires pulled him in the basement where I told him I could take care of them as long as I knew they weren’t being used. Dave ** also went above and beyond by pulling back the phone line which was no longer used, removing that from the system tying back my phone line and making sure all house phones were working. Again your service technician was brilliant. No one else could do this.

I chose Vector Security to maintain the continuity of the already installed security system into the house we had just purchased. I received excellent customer care. Scott **, the local specialist made arrangements to meet us the day of our move and explained the existing security system in painstaking details and he provided us with details of upgrades and updates which were all very reasonably priced yet extremely well oiled, efficient mechanism. Definitely felt way more secure than the previous security system we had. The setup was done very proficiently by the technician Kris who was very courteous and thorough. Thereafter the system has worked seamlessly and the online access through Alarm.com makes the operation very user friendly. Customer care was also excellent at answering some of the questions I had and they promptly scheduled a technician visit for some technical issues I had.

David ** replaced the batteries on our window sensors. He was fast and efficient. He made sure everything was up to date and replaced the sensors that weren’t communicating right. Now everything is replaced and working well again. Very satisfied with his service.

I have had my alarm with IHC Security for almost 1 year. I recently had to transfer my service. The transfer of services was smooth and under 2 hours. The tech that came to install was very professional and courteous. He absolutely was considerate of my home. He wore the shoe covers. Whenever I call IHC Security I get attention as if I'm the only one that matters. The lady is patient and kind. Answering every question I may have. I would highly recommend this company

Jerry was very helpful and knowledgeable. We’ve had other alarm systems before, but we are very satisfied with the service we’ve experienced from Vector. The phone staff is always very helpful. The most recent situation was very thoroughly handled. Jerry arrived at the designated time. He called on the cell phone and when no one answered, he called on the home phone. Very thorough.

At my suggestion she called technical support and was guided through a diagnostic test that solved the problem quickly and easily. She was relieved, as were the dogs, and I am grateful to your team for working with her in my absence.

I'm not sure where my phone call is directed to, but I have been told 3 different times the wrong battery. I only have a certain window to take the battery out and replace it. I also have been waiting on a technician to come and fix a zone (which I pay an extra fee monthly to cover) and still no phone call. I called today and had to go over the problems for the 4th time and hopefully this person got it right (although she was snippy and talked over me). Very frustrating and thinking about cancelling our service.

Nick did an excellent job. Great customer service. I like the style of the alarm panel. The built in camera feature will definitely work in regards to security and peace of mind. Also, I like the weather updates on the alarm panel and how accurate they are for my area. Overall I am pleased with Vector services.

Vector came with the house. Tough to get service scheduled. I had to call multiple times to get it scheduled. Once here Steve was great. He fixed our remote panel and then changed all the sensor batteries. I just wish it had been easier to get the appointment scheduled, but it was worth it once it was done.

Peter and Kendall, the technicians, came early and were prompt. They were very courteous and knowledgeable about the security system they were upgrading for us. They completed the installation of the wireless system in 2.5 hours. They offered to add two windows to the system without pressure and for only another $100. They fully explained how to use the keypads and the iPhone to control them. In short, they provided very good customer service with the installation.

I love my new system. I could not believe the cost of this system! I added fire protection and an outside shop door and it works great. I would recommend Vector Security for any security needs. The technician stayed past 5 to finish the job and the sales lady came on a Sunday to explain the mobile phone app to me. Now I can stay informed when I am away from home.

I discontinued service with Vector a little while ago due to not leaving my house. I really like vector security and they still service my place. I’m no longer a customer but the key pads was beeping and I called to have them come take a look. The tech was great and did everything I asked. I will be reconnecting service as soon as I start traveling again and I recommend others to vector as well.

The only reason you get 2 stars is because the technician you sent deserves 5 stars. The customer service prior to his arrival at our home was horrible and doesn’t even deserve one star. Our problem stared on November 15th when we were out and got an alert that our right living room window had been disturbed. We were close enough that we were able to return home and could not find any signs it had been tampered with. Our evening plans were delayed as we had to make sure our home was secure. I was shocked to find out the person I spoke with couldn’t assist me in getting to the correct person to schedule a service call. So, we headed back out and while in the car I used the app to schedule a service request.
I never heard from anyone and so my husband finally called on Monday. Twice he waited on hold for about 45 minutes. When he got someone they told him they could not override the malfunctioning censor. We did it manually for a couple of days and then he called back and found out only a manager could do that which they finally did. Well then, the battery in the master bedroom went bad and so we called back to get that window overridden and the person said it was done but it was not so we had to do it manually every time we went in and out. The final straw was when you called to give us a four hour window for the tech to arrive. I am not sure who has time to sit at home and wait for 4 hours, but not us as we both work outside of our home.
We switched from ADT because of their poor customer service and after being very pleased with Vector, we now are being treated in the same way ADT treated us. I hope this is an aberration, although I am not optimistic. Again, Joey was wonderful and was so helpful and concerned about our issues. It is sad the team members answering calls can not provide that same level of service. One final thought, Joey was able to replace my key fob that had not been working properly. I had not worried about it while it was light when I got home each evening but really wanted it now that it is dark when I get home. It makes no sense to have to push two buttons in an emergency. The design should be such that it is easy to push if you feel threatened as you enter or leave your home. That is all for now. I do hope to see an improvement in your customer service when you are needed in the future.

Even though we are under contract we’ve had nothing but problems both with equipment and service personnel. This is not all Vector's fault. Reasons beyond our control won’t allow us to continue to pay for this service. I am a disabled vet and married for 29 yrs and this is mandatory for us to cancel this service to budget our household. I’m not satisfied and complained to the necessary people months ago and recently when our financial situation deteriorated. All I received was a bill for a service never rendered and a copy of my contract. My bill has always came directly from my account but as of January there will be nothing for them to take out.
All I ask is to listen to me and treat me like I’m more than an account number. Back in March when my son died I asked to get out of my contract after having to use much of our resources to handle our son's illness and his eventual death. Someone help me please if there’s anyway for me to end this without this destroying my credit. I’m only one in a pool of millions. Let me go quietly and debt free. As of right now I don’t owe any payments and they let me out of this we could have a clean break. There’s a bill attached and no one ever came out nor did we arrange for anyone to come.

Have been with them for years. Had system updated to wireless a few years ago. Had the smoke detector malfunction and service department said that we needed a system check due anyway. So the tech came and did the check. That night the alarm went off at 9:45 pm and service department sent another tech today. Both techs were great!

I was referred by previous owner who had Vector and she was very happy. She said it was the best. When I bought the house the alarm system voice was also one the best selling points, But the new alarm system voice chime is very soft. I like the fact when I was having some problem with the system, the company reached out to me and I didn't even have to call them. Peter, my technician was very professional and courteous. He indicated the issues. I had two defective contacts and replaced the contacts.

My Mom Evelyn ** is 87 years old. She no longer needs Vector Security. She has forgotten her password. I have been paying for her coverage every month by autopay from my account. I have tried and tried to get up with you all. The phone just hangs up or I'm left on hold for over 30 minute and no one comes to the phone. I stopped pay on the account around the first of October because I could never get up with anyone. I knew someone would call me then and they called me today. What a horrible experience!
I was sent to three different people. The last time I was transferred I got a woman in technical support. I told her what I needed and she said, "Why did they transfer you to me. I cannot help you." We had a horrible connection and she was rude as heck. This was after I held for over 20 minutes. You all have terrible service. This should have been cancelled in October. I will not be responsible for any other payments. I am calling the Better Business Bureau. You folks are impossible to get up with when we want to cancel but johnny on the stop when we bought service. Jenny ** for Evelyn **. Over 15 years ago, don’t remember how we chose (might have already been here when we moved here, and we transferred over; since upgraded). Service today was thorough/excellent. My only big issue with Vector has been that for some reason, they notify the second and third numbers listed on the account if my alarm goes off, and never call me first (they say they do, but it doesn’t register as a missed call or leave a message or anything). I have verified that my number is the one to call, and double-checked it, so not sure what happens, but twice it has resulted in emergency personnel being dispatched.

An additional panel for our bedroom was wanted. Service and explanations were explained in detail. Our phone line had been out for a while. Explained that phone company stated it was the system was hooked up. This was repaired and home phone lines now working. Great security system with prompt service. All questions answered. I have had Vector since 2004 as I recall. We got the security system when my husband was in their sales department to help Us with our son with autism. He wanted to have alarms on all doors and windows to keep him safe in our home since he wanders. We keep the chimes on at all times for this reason. I have a service plan and I ask that the batteries be changed yearly. On a recent service call Jerry noted that our smoke detectors were over 10 years old and should be replaced. So he came back within 2 weeks to do that service.

I have been a customer for over 16 years and needed my batteries changed in my modules. Over the course of five days, I attempted to call six times and was put on hold every time for long periods of time and no one ever answered. Today, I called corporate and the same thing happened. I was told, "I will stay on the phone with you until we get hold of someone." Well, all I was left with was a looped voice mail, "We apologize for the delay..." over and over again. Is anyone even there? Therefore, if I still could not speak to anyone. I am very unhappy and frustrated. All I needed were my batteries changed.

I've been with Vector for 20 years and obviously, because I'm still a customer, I'm not displeased with their service. However, getting thru to Customer Service can be a lengthy ordeal and because of those past experiences, that's why I'm hesitate to reach out now that I'm interested in security cameras. I really don't often have that type of free time to wait on the phone and quite frankly, the patience. Once I have gotten thru in the past, the reps are usually very professional, friendly, helpful.
If the equipment needs service, the techs have been good about getting here in the window of time allotted. They haven't always done their job correctly which created problems (when they were here for an upgrade of equipment), and had to return - again, another wait for customer service in addition to the problem itself. Overall, I'm okay with them - even though I'm pretty sure there are less expensive companies out there - I like Vector. I just wish the customer service was more easily accessible.

I just had my system upgrade on 10-30-2019 and today I received a message that said I had reached over 50 percent of video upload limit. No one told me there was a limit of me going in and out of my house. I did not know that I can not go in and out of my house when I want to. Excellent customer service and installation. The new security panels look like iPads and look great in our new home. We chose Vector because we have had such good experiences with them in our long history in Ligonier. Information from Ben was complete and timely and we were happy to see Kevin as our installer. He has been here previously and has always given us complete information about the installation and usage instructions. Finally no Security Cameras or Alarm.com equipments. We been having concerned for a few years and months of calling for same concerned with our cameras or others equipments. MR. Rick sent two professional guys too do the job correctly without any short cuts. Not that others installer or repair guys don’t do good job but Tom & Wayne came to get our security systems back online after months of calling for same issues. We follow up with Mr. Rick too thank him for the outstanding good installation that Tom & Wayne did in getting our security camera system back online. I’m glad they didn’t need to drill holes throughout our home to hardwire cat5 to a Poe switch and my router. It has been almost two months and we haven’t had any issues yet compared too before. I’ve been with Vector Security since 2010 and haven’t thought about leaving since. I know they’re reliable and will always respond to our security concerns when needed. Thank you.

I have had Vector since 2004 and cannot believe how the quality of service has gone down. First, I was not notified when you increased your price. I found out when I didn't pay enough for my three months service. Then my alarm started beeping on a Friday. But it wasn't a steady beeping, just beeped at night. I didn't receive any notice from Alarm Control because it stopped during the day. I couldn't contact Alarm Control because the telephone number had changed. When I called on Monday I finally got help and then waited one week for a technician to come and correct the problem. I now know why you are currently number 27 on the list of security companies.

I was very happy with my installation today. Ethan was very helpful with every question I’ve asked. I recommend him as the best installer I’ve ever had service my house. I highly recommend him for anyone that is interested in getting one of your system.

When we bought the house Vector was installed so we called to set up appointment and called ADT. ADT was giving me a price without even coming out. Mary the company representative came out to the house. We first told her we had hour but after talking to ADT we allowed her more time. Mary was very friendly and very informative on what Vector had to offer. Plus she knew what was in my house already and told me we would be getting a new install since our system was old. Got a lot of discounts and in the end was happy with the bill.

Curtis came out to install my garage door opener. He was on time and professional. He did a great job working around my cats so they didn’t get out the door. He also went over the app with me and answered all my questions.

Nick showed up on time and promptly completed the add on job requested. He was polite and courteous through the entire process. Nick called prior to arriving on site, arrived on time, and had all equipment ready for install. Install went smoothly and we are pleased with our installation and service.

Have had Vector for about 12 years, hadn’t been using the system since replacing a couple doors at the house. Time to upgrade and get rid of our landline. Ethan showed up promptly this morning, has been very professional and helpful. He installed new equipment that needed to be upgraded, helped me install the app and set everything up. Was very pleased to have him in my home and he did a great job!

Nick was a polite, courteous, patient, and professional technician. He showed up on time and showed his ID. Very clean work and cleaned up behind himself nicely. The alarm system works pretty easy. I really like my Vector App. And the cameras are crisp and has great picture. Overall, I am pleased with the service and the ease of being able to control my system and view my cameras when I am not home.

I chose Vector Security because it was recommended by a neighbor. Once in while my Vector System beeps in the middle of the night stating it has a trouble. The Vector Staff is very helpful and nice. They just have to work on their system. The service today was great today. Today’s service call was excellent.

Repair of system, went very well. Technician was very competent, thorough and quick. Explained system details and went over the app with us. Technician took the time to test every sensor throughout the house. Also checked all the batteries including the console. Very pleased.

I compared to ADT and liked their backup system better. As I recall if there was a national emergency affecting a large region in the USA, VECTOR could still monitor from Canada. As I remember in case of loss of election power, the system is good for at least 3 days. O, Vector seemed like it offered better coverage.

The alarm system was included with my new home purchase. The customer service person was very polite and helpful in scheduling my install. The install went very smooth, and the installer explained the complete alarm system and how it worked.

I was satisfied with the company but I found a better company and more security at a better price. I would have love to stay with the same company that I have been with over 13 years but at this point in time I needed more security than I currently have. Now that I have found what I needed, I am sorry to say that your services are valued but no longer needed.

It's great to know when I call service Amanda is there to help. Amanda is always going above and beyond to make sure my problems are resolved. I wouldn't know what to do without her.
