I was having a few issues and couldn’t figure out how to fix them. I had a Vector Security technician come out and he was able to figure out my issues and resolve them. He was very friendly and very kind.

I chose Vector because I heard that it was a reliable company and well recommended by my neighbor. I just wanna commend technician Dexter ** on a job well done and his knowledge of the work that he performed. Mr. ** had called and stated that he was enroute to my house on a service call. I was at work and I asked him about the ring. He explained it to me and my wife when he got to my home. He is a dedicated worker and I would welcome him again to come to my home for any problem with my service. I wish I could say the same about a lot of other technicians that have come to my house from other companies. I will recommend Vector to all of my neighbors and friends as well as Mr. ** as a top technician, if I have another service call. I will surely ask for Mr Dexter **, because I feel the problem will be rectified and all will be ok. Truly knowledgeable of his work and a true Professional in the field of security.

Aaron did a fabulous job educating me on the installation of my equipment for my home. He offered me a variety of solutions that I did not know were available to me. This was not a new interaction with Vector, but it was a very positive one. We have had problems with our security cameras from the beginning. The technician did everything possible to resolve our problem, thoroughly and patiently. We needed to contact Comcast to ultimately resolve the issue.

Good value, quick install, ease of use of system is a high priority, knowledgeable technician. Read reviews on the internet, nothing but high marks, have not been disappointed. From initial consultation to the installation, we were kept in the loop and there was no hidden agenda or fees. Monty was direct and to the point, gave recommendations as to what system would benefit us most. Satisfied so far, no complaints or issues.

We had problems with the alarm going off in the middle of the night. We called in and changed the batteries in smoke alarms, but problem still continued. The serviceman, Robert replaced batteries and checked all systems and control panel in closet and all systems are ok now.

This was for service. The tech resolved the issue quickly. He also identified that the zones were mislabeled. I had already replaced the batteries which we think caused the initial alarms. Very happy with the quick service and the courteousness of the technician.

Same system that we had before. Liked the digital panel and iPhone app. Customer service is really the difference though. Technicians really know their product and explain everything in detail. I would recommend to friends and family in the future. Only issue that I don't like is the 3 year contract, especially for military.

My parents and sister are current customers of Vector. It was through their recommendations that I choose to seek out the service. Monte came out and described services thoroughly and installation was eventually set up. Josh came out and was able to install the system. He provided education as to both the mobile system as well as the actual panel that was installed in my home.

After a fire alarm had gone off, we needed extra help getting back online with our system and were unable to remotely. Michelle in the office knew we were trying to get out of town and needed help quickly and made sure that we were able to get help. Chris reached us at the end of the day and quickly made the changes needed plus showed me what to do to make it right the next time. He was friendly and very helpful, especially at the end of a very busy day.

HOA Vendor. We expanded services to increase security to our home and wanted to be able to use cameras for security when home and away from home. Rod our technician was very helpful and explained everything. He addressed several problems we have had and made some adjustments to our system.

Everything was done to satisfaction. Delivered what was promised and the installer gave suggestions on additional offerings I was not made aware of. I will consider additional services such as light bulbs for exterior of the house at a later time when I evaluate other items needed.

The visit was for a low battery front door. The gentleman that came to fix it was very professional and very pleasant to talk with and knowledgeable of his job responsibilities with confidence! My experience with the Vector team in notifying me of this problem was very helpful and very pleasant to speak with. The problem was happening during the water tank bursting upstairs which created a lot of water damage!

We called Vector Security to come out and check the alarm system for us because the other day it went off and we didn’t get a call. The technician come out and explained everything to us about how the system work and that there is a delay before the signal transmits and tested the alarm while on site on every zone and everything was fine. He also gave up information on newer technologies for alarm communication and explained all the flaws with landline vs cellular monitoring and helped us feel better about our system in knowing that it’s working and we have options if we chose to better the system.

Dave ** is very professional and courteous. He’s been at my house and my mother's house several times, both are monitored by Vector. He always listens when I tell him The problems I’m having with the system. Dave assesses the situation, and tells me what the best solution he thinks is. Since Dave is the expert I always go with his recommendation, and it always resolves the issue.

Dave ** came to install wireless sensors and check a faulty alarm sensor. Instead of fixing window, he recommended a new wireless sensor which was a great and better option than I even considered. I appreciated the fact that he mentioned he read up on my install product before coming.

Vector Security came out to replace my panel battery and was quick about it. I called them about a low battery showing on my panel and didn’t know the system took a battery but they knew exactly what to do. The person who came out was very nice and friendly.

I was very impressed with your service technician Dave **, Dave was very courteous and professional. I had a low battery issue, Dave recommended replacing batteries and all my devices. Dave ran out of batteries and had to pull him from other devices in his vehicle so I would not have to schedule a return, I greatly appreciated this.

Updated on 04/08/2020: Bill was knowledgeable, personable, professional, prompt and fixed our camera problem quickly. We were a little concerned about keeping our appointment because of the Coronavirus pandemic but Bill wore gloves and booties and respected socially distant rules. Our overall experience with Bill was extremely positive.

Very pleased with our first experience having a Security System installed in our home. The appointment was set up quickly and the technician arrived on time. Gary ** was very professional and did a great job on our installation. During the installation, my husband and I were setting up some electronic equipment in another room and Gary overheard us discussing the issues that we were having. He called out to us and offered several suggestions on what we should look for and resolved our issue. I thought that Gary was going out of his way to be helpful and explaining what he was doing because he knew that I was a Vector employee, but he didn't find this out until he was almost finished with the install. We feel so much more confident with our System because Gary handled our install.

As I noted earlier, we had 3 false alarms in 3 days and had to disable our system since December 20. I am very happy to say that Kevin, the Vector Security technician, arrived today, six days ahead of schedule, and resolved all the problems with our security system. Kevin found that two smoke alarms that were part of our original installation were both still active and one was causing the problem. When he opened it, it was dusty and loaded with stink bugs. He cleaned it up, replaced the cover, disconnected the older, unnecessary alarm and all is well. He also checked all of our other smoke alarms. Thanks again for taking care of our problem.
Original Review: Dec. 20, 2019
Please be advised that on Wednesday, December 18, when our alarm system sent a false alarm in the afternoon, you advised us that you would be sending a technician. On Thursday at 7 A.M., our alarm system sent another false alarm. In both of these cases, you alerted the local fire station before speaking to us, and we had to take steps to cancel the call. At approximately 1:28 A.M. on Friday, December 20, again our system sent a false alarm. Again, you alerted the local fire station and again we had to take steps to cancel. In all 3 cases, a fireman was sent to be sure it was a false alarm.
Following the false alarm on Friday, we spoke with a Vector trouble-shooter by phone. He advised there may be dust in the smoke alarm in the basement, but could do nothing about preventing this from happening again; only a technician's visit could help us. We told him we were supposed to be on the list for a technician's visit; he also said he would alert service again to send a technician. The only way to prevent these random alarms was to totally disconnect our system. We had no choice but to do this.
At some point during our phone calls to customer service, we learned Vector's staff HAD NOT scheduled a technician's visit; supposedly, this was being done immediately during our Wednesday phone call. They had no idea when a technician would be at our home. Today at approximately 1:35, we were told that if someone cancels, POSSIBLY a technician could fit us in. If there are no cancellations, there will be no technician at to our home until Monday, December 30, between 8 AM and noon. This is totally unacceptable. We will deduct the proper amount from Vector's next invoice for the days we were without a system and monitoring. Please note this in our file. Patricia **.

Nick showed up and done a great job with the installation of my security system. He was professional and knowledgeable in regards to the Wifi service here and how it correlates to the functionality of the cameras. The cameras didn’t work however the alarm system for my business will still be sufficient. Overall I am pleased with Nick’s service and Vector Security services as well.

Kevin, our service person today is very, very knowledgeable and actually recalls hard wiring one of our properties many years ago (1992). Quite amazing! It was installed by our builder 13 years ago. It was time to upgrade. The tech who installed the alarm.com system (Craig) and did the upgrade and the tech who came today to straighten out an issue and to help with identifying zones for the Vector app (Daniele) were terrific!!

I have a blog just for Mom’s - The Mommy Dash. We have over 4800 followers just in the Hudson Valley, NY. We asked a question about security systems and Brian ** wife recommended Vector! Eli was great! He completed an initial walk through with us, made some great suggestions that we are super happy with! He was here the entire day, and walked us through all the steps! I needed a service call for someone to come out and get my doorbell working again. It wasn’t working for about two weeks and I finally just decided to do something about it. When the technician came out here was more than happy to present his credentials for verification and he did a good job fixing my doorbell camera. He also addressed additional issues I was having without even being asked to do so. Great service.

We had a new system installed in our new house and the technology is wonderful. We had to have a second trip to come install and connect our new door bell camera because we didn’t have internet set up during the first trip of the install and Vector Security was happy to come back out to do so. It was a quick job and the technician took the time to inquire about any questions that we had during the time since the initial installation of the system.

I would like to commend Rich ** for his efforts to get my cameras back up and tied into my two cell phones and my ipad for remote monitoring. I have a complex property; I have two buildings monitored with 7 cameras using two HIK camera DVRs. Rich spent several hours with me and later with a service man onsite, Dave K, to get my cameras running again. It appears that a power outage had "Scrammbled" my Verizon router and the DVRs. I much appreciate Rich's efforts here solving multiple IT issues. I am planning to put a property entry gate in this coming Spring and will definitely stay with Vector for the three planned associated cameras. Mostly because of this one service call. Thank you.

Kevin is a very efficient, knowledgeable, and competent installer. When a new feature is installed at my home, I only request Kevin. He was the installer for cameras on two homes that I own and there has been no problems to date because of his expertise. He is outstanding on setting the apps on all my smart devices so they work together properly. He just installed a camera doorbell and his work expertise is simply amazing! About two weeks ago our camera stopped working. I called many times and left messages. No one called back and finally today the technician Chris came and fixed the problem, now I can see the camera in the app.

I was having problems with my key chain remote for my system and the technician was able to determine that another company came out and messed up my alarm system without any prior knowledge that someone had recently been out to my house. After he thoroughly inspected the alarm he got everything back working properly again.

We were sick of ADT because of their system not being able to operate correctly with us. So we wanted to go with another alarm company and so we ask our neighbor and they said they've been with Vector Security for a while and they would recommend them to anyone. Very poor experience. Called, unable to cancel - had to give written explanation. Filled out your silly form. Then got confirmation of receipt. That was November 8, if I remember correctly. Then today, I get an email and a call that my account is not closed and I owe another payment. How is that possible.? Your equipment was removed out of service when our new monitors were installed. Then, on the phone call today I was told the lady who I worked with was not the one I needed to work with the cancel my service. Terrible customer service and follow up. I don’t know how much was true or just just the way you do business. I will never recommend your services to any one. She was the one I was transferred to speak with regarding g cancellation and was told it was taken care of after receipt of.

Dave ** your service technician came out today, he was on time, polite, courteous, and professional. We had a low battery situation, he recommended replacing all the batteries which we agreed-upon as a preventive measure for future low batteries. All your technicians are as good as Dave ** Vector has a top-notch service department. I would highly recommend Vector to anyone.

Bob came out today to change a battery for one of our. Sensors. He also alerted us to some of the options that we weren’t using. Showed us how to use the security apps and put in new user name, security question and access codes.

Jose did a awesome job! He was very fast and clean after installing new contacts in my windows. Jose also pointed out to us a error on our keypad letting us know there was no communication. He was able to get us a good deal on installing a cell comunicator to solve our problem!

Your technician Dave ** was very professional, courteous, patient. Dave called in advance like you were supposed to so I could crate the dog. Had a camera issue that he had to for lack of better terms learned back in. Very patient with me because I could not find or remember my password. They found another way around that he didn’t need the password. You made sure I had video on my phone app and the coverage area is what I wanted. I am a very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend Vector.

Nathan came out and installed a new system at our house. We are very pleased with installation and impressed with the technology. We added doorbell camera with our system and can view anyone approaching and if the doorbell is pushed I get notified. Very happy all in all with the system and recommend Vector to everybody.

I work in the maintenance department for Mansfield homes and take care of their properties. My company has had Vector at their main offices for years so they called vector when the old tenants move out and we have a system installed due to break ins and vandalism. The technician is doing 7 of our properties and the installations are going very quick and the systems are very easy to use especially with them being all the same. I’m happy with the work getting done.

We had multiple issues and we just got installed with y'all's most current system so did not know why. Jose was able to explain why our keypad was not getting enough power and fixed the issue. I was having some communication issues after Verizon did some work. Verizon and Comcast couldn’t figure out why my alarm wasn’t working with the phone lines. I had a service tech come out who spent a few hours and couldn’t figure it out either, frustration and helplessness set in. Then the manager said he’d send me someone else, and Nick ** showed up. Within 10 minutes he figured out exactly what the issue was got me up and running. He even then went over upgrade options due to my 25+ year old system and let sales know to contact me. Vector monitors my fire alarm and completes the inspections. I first met Nick ** when we had some issues, nick was the one who came in figured out what was going on, fixed it and even did some preventive work. Since then nick is the service tech I asked to be assigned to me. He does our fire inspections, he’s considerate, knowledgeable and just all around a pleasure to interact with.

So I recently lost my home in a fire and I went to look and new homes to get built and I came across Capstone Custom Home and Vector Security was in with the deal of the home. So I could pass up getting a deal on a new home and security system and my camera so I called and they came and installed my system and Ethan was such an awesome technician. Technician Robert ** showed up early, this allowed me to get back to work sooner. Tech was able to correct the problems that was occurring in the system. Replaced batteries in the units in the garage. Recommend that we upgrade the system and call if we need anything else. Will inform the owner of the problems for the house and separation each house over the next few months.

Recommended by friend to have this system installed and then after that a sales rep Mr. ** called and Josh the installer was the one to come right out and install the alarm system and put up cameras as well. Josh install walk me and my wife in operating the Vector Security App and using the alarm keypad. We will use this to protect our home and have a peace of mind to know when the alarm goes off we can have someone notified.

Window sensor problem. Your service technician Dave ** was prompt, actually early, called en route like we asked. I showed him the window but it was the wrong one. He verified the correct window, explained what he was going to do and proceeded to do so and corrected the issue. I had another issue which which was more than willing to help me with, even though I did not mention it on the ticket. Your company should have more technicians like Dave **.

Vector Security was great when I started service, but when I sold my home with the alarm per buyers contract, they are charging in advance for breaking the contract for an alarm I don’t need for my new home...Contacted local branch and was told if not paid and new homeowners doesn’t assume service then it would be forwarded on to third party collection agency.

We chose Vector because we have been customers for over 30 years! With Franklin Security originally. Our experience has always been first rate with both the equipment and the service. We were able to schedule our install almost immediately so it fit our tight time schedule. The explanation of how operate the new system was thorough and easy to understand. We would certainly recommend Vector to all of our friends. It is great to have the office such a short distance away.

Jose did a great good! Jose fixed my battery issues and my back camera. Jose had a lot of patience as the camera gave him a lot of issues. He stayed with it and accomplished reconnecting the camera after four hours, Thank you Jose!

Recurring issue with smoke alarm. Dave ** has come to remedy the situation and provided outstanding service. He moved the bad fire alarm and even painted the old spot. He has always been professional and courteous. I would highly recommend him for future service!

Your tech was very friendly and on time. He told me what he was doing and tested all that I asked. He also added a code to my system that would silently call the police in case of an emergency that I didn’t know about. Thank you for good work.

Service call on malfunctioning smoke and fire detector. Vector was chosen by us approximately 3 years ago because of their rating. We chose to stay with them when we built our new home. The customer service both for new installation as well as for service calls has been excellent. The technicians that have responded both through phone calls as well as physical appointments have been friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We are totally satisfied and would recommend Vector Security to anyone.

I called with a big problem I was back and forth with many different people but Andrew in Technical Support was a godsend. He helped so much, walked me through steps multiple times, dealt with my (slightly jerky) attitude of no one else being able to help. This guy deserves a huge raise. He was wonderful!!

Nick should up this morning on time and ready to work. He done a walkthrough of my system, answered our questions, and made suggestions for added fire protection. He changed all my batteries and tested everything. He was patient and polite and had a good attitude. He knows a lot about the new system and Vector App as well. Very pleased with his customer service towards us.

Tonii and Curtis were fantastic. Everything was explained thoroughly and made it simple for us to understand. Installation went very smooth and I didn’t even know he was here. Showed us in detail how to work everything through the app and informed us of recent upgrade to key panel. Would recommend to everybody.
