Kurtis came out and did a great job explaining my system after he updated the sensors. Most impressed with his concern to make us happy. Dawn called me earlier and was very pleasant arranging this appointment. Definitely would refer Vector to others.

Kevin was polite and capable, He worked clean and was respectful of my belongings. As a person not too familiar with tech issues he was thorough in explaining how to operate my camera equipment. His associate was also pleasant. Answered my questions.

Fixed problem quickly. Explained what happened and how to correct it myself if happens again. From time requested for a visit to completed was less than 24 hours. Very happy with overall experience. Technician was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do.

Ft. Lauderdale. Agata ** was very helpful solving my problem. I give her 5 stars, the highest rating. I am changing homeowner's insurance companies and I needed a certificate for the alarm service. She emailed it to me promptly. My past interaction with Vector has all been positive.

Nick was efficient, courteous, and well organized. He spent the day moving from place to place and we barely knew he was here. He did a thorough job explaining the new systems and recommended someone to fix the electrical issues. I would highly recommend him for any service needs.

This was the worst mistake I could have made putting Vector's alarm system in my house! I've had nothing but problems - no reliable service - terrible company representative who are only interested in making you pay for the entire contract if you cancel service (that don't work) - not interested in your safety at all!!! I've had 3 false alarms in 60 days - now the city is charging for false alarms and vector says they don't pay for this! Who do they suggest pay for it?? The customer - which is stupid!! I'm sick of this company!

Very professional staff! The installation technician was very knowledgeable in the systems we had installed. He tested everything to make sure our app and all other connections worked properly. He even cleaned the mess made from cutting into the drywall which we appreciated. We are very pleased with Vector Security so far and really have no complaints!

Vector covers all homes in my community. Installer and service were very helpful, answered any questions, and rapidly remedied one service issue. Agata was very helpful as was Rodlyn, the installer. I have been a Vector Security customer for 13 years. Daniel came to my house to fix a broken contact but as we talked he provided a lot of great advice on home security and options that Vector provides. He was friendly and knowledgeable and came to my house the same day I called for an appointment. I will always be a customer of Vector Security!

Updated on 05/21/2020: The technician said there was no problem with the system, but when Centurylink came he had to rewire the whole telephone because of your wiring. The security system is disabled. I would like to cancel the contract because we are paying for nothing. Please text or email directly because I cannot access your reply system.
Original review: The worst experience ever in dealing with a company. Numerous phone calls, voice mail hell, no response and no repair technician. This malfunction has left us without phone service for over a week. The phone company says your equipment is shorting out the phone line.

I have used them before (on a different system). I LOVE this new system they have. So easy to use. I have not had to do anything except turn on and off the alarm system. I hope that I won't have to really use them. I did mess up once and opened the door before disarming, and the phone calls and follow ups were amazing. I felt very secure.

Phone service leaves much to be desired. Options are not always clear, and it's difficult to understand the CSR. If no one is in the office, there should be a voice mail recording detailing hours or options for leaving a message, etc.

Install was fantastic. Love the easy to use Alarm system features. The camera quality functions are spot on perfect. The door locks being able to use them with the alarm was a much added bonus, Also they were able to tie the system in with my Nest thermostats.

Poor customer service. I have had sensors that don’t work for weeks now. They have no cares when it comes to protecting my residence. If I cancel my service it’s a breach of my contract but if they fail to fix my system it’s a miscommunication!

We heard of Vector Security from our sister in law who recommended us to Vector Security. We had Ken come out to help us with a specific alarm and then Josh the installer came out and installed all the alarm system's sensors and cameras. He showed us how to use the alarm system and it came out easy than we thought.

Nick installed my alarm system with great professionalism. He explained the features of the devices. He was respectful and held great conversation. Nick explain how to access the mobile app features. The new system Nick installed works great. Very up to date and operates very easy. I really like the doorbell camera. The clarity is good and coverage is efficient too. We had our Yale Assure Lock Deadbolt break today around 3 pm. I called and had an emergency service scheduled for this evening. The technician Clyde ** drove over 2.5 hours to come and install a new deadbolt system. His professionalism and attitude were stellar. We couldn't be more happy with Vector Security and the office that handles our account. From the management to the technicians they are professional and courteous. This is why I will remain a loyal vector customer with my home system and my business security system.

Serviceperson (Dexter) was checking low battery signal and checked all other monitors. Was very pleasant, professional and efficient. He called before appointment and arrived when he said he would. Billing and Monitoring Certificate. Agata ** helped me with my problem and figured out what was happening with my account so easily. It turns out that I am being billed through my homeowners association and there was some confusion about why my monitoring certificate would not show up on the website. Our security/updated installation went flawless!! Kevin was extremely professional in handling the job. He was creative when it came to the camera installation - finding walls to fish lines through to make an appealing finish when plugging in the device. My wife and I have been with Vector for 2 years. Our payment was set up on autopay. As far as we were concerned, the bill was being paid monthly. Recently we received a collection notice came in the mail. Immediately, I tried to contact Vector to ask what this was about. (We received zero notices via telephone, email, or mail stating anything was due.) When I spoke to a representative, she was rude and told me there was nothing she could do. I explained to her I did not receive any notifications that my payment was late or due. She said there was nothing she could do about it and she hung up. Very unprofessional customer service and way to ruin someone's credit without notice!!!

We had a service call with Vector and the service member was fast, efficient, and explained everything with ease. I would recommend service calls with the agency as they do a great job helping consumers. Dexter was great and cared about the safety of my home. Have had alarm 1 yr. Today need tech support and Andrew was excellent, patient and walked me through my problem and verified it ok. Had a stranger bang on door and didn't ring my bell. When I check video it did not take picture of him as he didn't ring video door bell, he just banged hard five times. I was frightened.

Home alarm system has been fine for about 20 years. In 2018 security cameras and servers for video recording purchased. In 2020 additional camera and server purchased. For 2020 purchase, installation/configuration/user training was incompetent at best. After a few visits of service department technicians, video file management application on servers (maybe cameras too) not working properly.

Please recognize the superb customer service that the technician from the remote tech service center provided me from approximately 14:45 - 15:30 Eastern Time. The technician was able to add a window sensor remotely that the local technician failed to enter into the keypad. The remote technical center technician very patiently worked through the problem with me, and successfully added the sensor. She is a superb representative of Vector Security. Nick showed up on time, was very knowledgeable about product, explained everything well and in detail. The system is great. The app is very simple to use. Service was excellent, I would definitely recommend Vector to family and friends. The added security to the kitchen window is an added bonus and will make the family feel more secure. The knowledgeable help provided by Andrew during a difficult time was reassuring. He is truly an asset. I only wish I was able to identify to sensor that was actually causing the fault. It seems our sensors are numbered rather than location labeled. Great customer service, He stayed on the phone with me till the error was corrected. It was trying as the alarm was blaring. He stayed calm and guided me through the technical aspects to get the system to reset.

We (kaslick builders) have used Vector Security for over 14 years and the sales and service has been amazing. In those 14 years I’ve worked with Ben our Salesman and Kevin our installer and dealing with those two has been very professional. They work well together. Anytime I call they respond immediately. It was wireless and had the security features that we wanted. The service department is great. They are very responsive to alarms. John is one of the nicest technicians. Our overall experience with Vector Security has been good. We had them put the alarm in our house in South Carolina and when we moved to North Carolina we had them come out and put a system in that home too. we had a small snag with the billing during the move but we were finally able to get that resolved. Everything else works well and we like knowing the house is secured. We have even recommended vector to a couple of our neighbors.

Technician was very courteous, well protected with mask and gloves and careful about social distancing to protect the customer and himself from COVID-19. He determined after battery replacement and testing that the unit failed therefore he replaced both smoke alarms with 10 yr worry-free lithium batteries for compatible reliability and functionality to ensure safety. He checked and replaced batteries in all sensors and detectors that required them. I see Sami ** is a senior collector. She emailed me about my bill and I responded by phone and asked as I had in a email if there was any assistance at this time as I was displaced from one of my jobs. I am a nurse in a long term care facility and can't work at two places now related to possible cross contamination. She led me to believe by email to call and we could discuss help. When I called she was very rude talking over me telling me I was having a bad day. She was loud with me. I don't need this attitude right now. I pay my bills.

Doorbell and camera not connecting. I had an appt today and the tech did not have a mask or face covering. This virus is respiratory and I will not allow anyone in my home without a face covering. WHY DO YOU SEND YOUR TECHS INTO HOMES WHERE THEY CAN EASILY SPREAD THIS VIRUS? Face coverings are recommended for ALL. Send a tech back who has a face covering to take care of my issue. You should be reported to proper dept for this potential hazard. You don’t hesitate to bill even if your system isn’t up and running properly.

I had a camera doorbell installed / within 2 hours chimes started buzzing and a burnt smell was in the air. I disconnected the wires at the chimes. Called Vector rep and they made another appointment to come back 4 days later was the soonest. I had a electrician come check out the burnt smell problem and he found the problem. The vector rep had installed the doorbell with 2" screws and shorted the wires inside. So long story short it cost $184 to find out the incorrect hardware was used. Today (Vector) they was to return but have not....So bottom line is, I'm out $184 because he used a screw that was way too long for the installation.

Vector Security sold my Mother a 5 year contract in 2017. Mom is in the early stages of dementia had was discussing going into a retirement community with me and my brother. Vector shows up, sells a 5 year contract and now she is moving and selling the house and can't get out of the contract. SHAME ON YOU VECTOR SECURITY!!! Your sales person would have been fully aware in a few minutes that Mom was not competent to sign such a contract and didn't ask her future plans nor inform her of the the obligation regardless. Sure I can get a lawyer and fight this if I want to put Mom on the stand and make her cry about her dementia!
Now, complaint #2. Vector Security installed some equipment and has a right to get reimbursed for their remaining unamortized expense plus a reasonable administration fee. But FULL AMOUNT FOR THE NEXT 2 1/2 YEARS!!! We do NOT need immoral companies like VECTOR SECURITY doing business in this country. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

We got our alarm from Vector Security team installed. Good support from the person that installed, it was missing the vacuum system set but it was delivered few days later. One piece was missing and I called and had good service from the manager, quick solved. After that, we had a great support from Agata to get our alarm certificate quickly. She was helpful and fast.

My experience started off great. My sales rep was very persistent and got me all the information I needed. Met me at the house. Was professional and informative. When the install happened, that's when it changed. Started off without telling me there would be an additional technician out to train. It was explained that they are taking every precaution and that I should not worry. Well it is not very sensitive to today's environment, plus there were no gloves/masks being used to help eliminate the spread of the virus, so not sure what they are doing differently to be safe. We had chlorox wipes and provided to them to wipe down door handles.
Then came the up-sells, putting fear in my wife's head, intentional or not, that we needed more equipment to be safe. After all was said and done, we were on the hook for $800+ more. That is a lot of money. When a sales rep comes out, you think you were sold what was needed and then get a bill for this, it does not sit well. Plus a comment was made that our phone/internet install was done poorly. Family was happy with the install until it was brought up. Now I have to take time off of work to meet the company to fix a problem, that really isn't a problem.
I complained about all this and got a 25% discount on the extra equipment, that I now have to have to have to be so-called protected the right way. BIG DEAL! It was a try to shut me up move, and not a "we are sorry and value your business" offer. From what transpired, how much they charge for monthly service and the term they require, that offer was an insult.
The technician did a good job of installing, was knowledgeable, courteous and I am confident he is a value to the company. Though I could have lived without a few comments that created a few household issues, I do not fault him. I blame Vector Security for how they train and their policies. There are a lot of security companies out there, so make sure you hire the right one. These are not cheap systems, and to get tacked on that kind of money, is bad business.
There will be no referrals from me after this experience and will make sure to spread the word. I rarely write reviews. Bad experiences happen, but this was a little much for me and felt the need to after their response. They have my money for 3 years, so hopefully their service/security is a lot better of an experience than at the beginning.

Vector Security website is very misleading. "Click here to see packages." Next page requests user contact info, the result is a message a representative will contact you shortly. Where were the packages? Edit: "you're almost there, please write at least 40 words" has popped up to further frustrate web users.

The house was purchased with a Vector system in it, I just had the Tech in to upgrade the system to wireless phone network and replace the smoke alarm, Tech was very polite and knowledgeable on the system and explained the function and answered all questions as well as helped us set up the phone app. Would definitely recommend them to my friends. My parents had them for 20 years without complaints.

I needed an upgraded system. The installation went great. You can not see any wires!! I can monitor everything from my phone! The tech was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and professional. I am very impressed with the service, the technology and the support staff.

This was a repair call. One of our cameras had stopped recording events. A.J., the technician, was very thorough and professional. He stuck with the problem until he figured it out. He then checked every facet of our system to make sure everything was in good working order, right down to our key fob remotes. Great job!

Metty was incredibly helpful in cancelling our service as we sold our home. She was prompt and thorough in her follow-up to make sure the account closed properly and efficiently. We just had our security system updated. Rick got it scheduled for us and did great. Curtis and Bryant showed up to install our new system and we were very happy. With everything going on with the covid19 they followed all the guidelines that the company told us. We would definitely refer Vector Security to others.

Nick showed up and did a great job! He was professional and know a lot about the alarm system and cameras. I really like the alarm system and how easy it operates. And really like the Vector App and camera. Very convenient and the system and camera gives me a peace of mind when I am not home.

Nathan with Vector was out today and installed a couple sensors for our store. He was very kind and professional. He cleaned up after himself and put the system in to term that all of my employees could understand. In the midst of all this chaos he remained focused on making a good impression for Vector. Installer Jim ** came to change our system to cellular so we can get rid of our phone landline. He was excellent. I ask appreciate the flexibility with the cost of changing. I have been with Vector for a long time and their service is excellent.

Our repair technician was very prompt and communicated clearly when he would arrive. He expertly explained the Analytics program which prompted us to add the service. His friendly demeanor and conversational personality was a nice change from other technicians who come to the house. Finally, his helpfulness in showing how to adjust the programs through the website and the signs to look for on our NVR was better than the previous technicians that have installed and serviced the equipment.
