Rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. They called in advance. They were courteous and professional. Joseph has served us before. He was great at calibration our camera setting and quickly reset or outside lights to work at dawn and dusk. We highly recommend them.

They gave me one (1) motion detector for a 2200sq ft home. It takes so long for image to come up from doorbell that the person is gone by the time it comes up. They make you sign a 3 year contract and the tech begs for a tip. I’m posting a review everywhere I can.

Robert was on time for the appointment. He was friendly, introduced himself and explained the purpose of the appointment. He changed the battery and explained the need for a battery change. Additionally, he discussed a potential upgrade to the cell-phone feature which would save my family money by disconnected our landline. He was awesome and highly recommended.

Alarm repair, repair guy was very helpful and informative. He was very knowledgeable on the product and made sure to check all windows and doors to make sure everything worked before leaving. He also made sure he social distance, had gloves and had on a mask.

We feel safe and secure with the Vector Security. Where we live it has a very unsafe feel to the neighborhood and gives us a secure feel. The installer is very nice and handle things very well. He came out twice and installed one portion of the system and today he put the camera in and the weather was perfect for him both times. And he showed us how to work the system both times.

I needed a reliable security company after a major breakin. Vector came highly recommended over the company that I had at the time. My alarm system stopped working. I had two separate workers come out and both were unable to fix it. They said it couldn’t be fixed and needed to have a new system. I had fulfilled my contract so I just cancelled since they couldn’t fix the problem. They still attempted to draft the payment out of my bank account even after I had cancelled. They said they didn’t receive my cancellation letter. I have now been on hold for 19 minutes just trying to get someone to send me a letter to sign. I have stopped payment with the bank so they aren’t going to get anything anyway. Every time someone picks up the phone they tell me they don’t handle that problem. Go with ADT, better system, better service and people who actually know how to do their jobs!!

We first got our original system somewhere around 2007 when someone was going around with a promotion for an alarm system and we ended up getting the system. Now with our phones disconnected we are now getting a new updated system that works wirelessly and the keypad is now all touchscreen. Josh the installer came out and upgraded the alarm and showed us how to use everything. Thank You!

We went with a new system with Vector around a year ago. We love the system and continued to add more to it. Nathan has been out several times to do work around the building and he’s been great each time. Very professional and knowledgeable. Always cleans up after himself. Just an all around great guy. If you looking for a good system go with vector they have quality products as well as great people working for them!

Your Technician Ray did a phenomenal job at installing my camera and getting the app to work properly on my phone. He was kind, polite and very respectful. Had my system upgrade with Vector. The the service was amazing and they were able to not only upgrade the system but also relocate and detect that my panic button was not working and replaced it. Overall I was extremely happy with my service and my service technician Bryant was extremely friendly and very clean and efficient with the job.

Vector Security Billing is completely unethical and they are taking too much money out of bank account and card, even though I make the payment but still they are taking the money out of my card without my approval or consent. This is like a Robbery.

Called to check on canceling service due to financial issues because of COVID. Was told I could pay $ 688.00 to get out of contract or continue service. Was basically told that the company had THEIR policies and pretty much HAD to make THEIR money. Will never do business with this company again after they get “their money”!! Terrible... absolutely terrible.

Tech was on time, and very very thorough. Our system was completely overhauled with new sensors and cameras at no additional charge. I highly recommend Vector Security. Phone support is also great. We get immediate calls if there is any issue with the service, such as smoke alarms going off.

Horrible customer service. I was told that my cameras would be under warranty for the period of my 3 year contract. Two years later, I am needing service to my camera system. I called for a service call and I did not receive a response nor a callback. That same night, my vehicle was broken into while my camera system was down. I called again throughout my busy schedule and they told me they would put in a service call. They called me for the service call and they stated that it would be a charge just to go look at it because I did not have warranty. I called Vector security and they stated that I did not have warranty anymore even though they told me my cameras would be covered for 3 years.
I call Vector to cancel my service and they offer a free service call and to fix my cameras free of charge so I can stay with Vector and I agree. Then the camera service crew calls telling me that "they ALREADY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE A CHARGE THE LAST TIME". I explained to them that Vector had offered a free service call and repairs so if they were going to charge, it would be Vector security and they refused. I called Vector Security again to get clarification ONCE AGAIN and now they are stating that I am responsible for the cost even though they offered a free service call and free repair. The lady I was speaking to was very rude and kept interrupting me with "I ALREADY TOLD YOU" attitude. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO A FIRST TIME HOMEOWNER. I would recommend to go with a home security system you can completely own. NEVER AGAIN.

We chose Vector because the previous home owners already had it installed, and specifically because we didn't need to put any money down for 2 outdoor cameras and a video doorbell. Don fixed the shed door sensor. He also had to replace the batteries in the bedroom and living room and dining room. Don also had to replace the sensor on the back door. Don was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do and fixed everything with the system. He did a great job.

We were already using Vector Security but needed a conversion to a server and added cameras and a doorbell camera. Kevin was beyond professional. He had to visit our home three times due to the complexity of the project. He was always on time, identified what he would be doing and how long it would take and explained everything thoroughly when he was finished. I would rate his work and professionalism a 10 out of 10!

Vector Security was sold to me as a good value!! We have had very little problem with our system. We were gone for 6 months in 2019 and Vector Security protected our home. We did recently need service. The alarm on one door kept going off at weird times of the day. The technician came by and for some reason the alarm pieces seemed to be a bit offset from each other. That was corrected. 'Also, we were having issues with the front and kitchen door alarms. It seems that they were loose. That problem was corrected. The technician was very courteous and respectful. He arrived at the door wearing a mask. No one comes in our house without a mask. He was friendly to my cats who tentatively approached him. The Technician was Don **. He came on February 5th at about 8:30 am.

Someone came to our home and we signed up. We was never able to get in touch with them. Must have been a third party advertising for Vector Security. Since we been with vector we have had a few issues. We work with Jeanette on 2/6/21 and she was great. She help us to understand a lot more than we knew.

All the guys that came out today did an excellent job upgrading my systems. Roman and Jerry did great with getting my fire alarm system updated. Ray did a great job upgrading and installing my new security system which I must say, I really enjoy it. The modern look of the keypad and how user friendly it is really amazes me. I chose Vector to protect me because my daughter and son in law had it and they loved it. Frank was awesome and super professional. Brendan was the installer and did amazing. He arrived on time. Brendan wore a mask, and looked super professional, I would and have recommended vector to a friend.

I chose Vector because of good reviews in my neighborhood. The salesman Daniel came to my home & spent a lot of time answering my questions & giving me information. He was very helpful & spent a lot of time with me. I only wanted a video doorbell but we discussed complete home security which I ultimately decided against. The video doorbell was installed. After several months or so I was very tired of getting frequent false alarms so I decided to discontinue it. It’s not that the doorbell alarm didn’t work; I just got tired of it going off all the time. Daniel at vector offered to send a tech out to see if he could change the sensitivity but I just decided I didn’t need it.

The customer service department is mean with a nasty attitude. The tech will install the system even if the product not working correctly. If your alarm goes off the company will not always call to make sure your ok. The battery in system always goes dead and it’s hard to get someone to come out to check system or change battery. Not happy with the company, customer service nor with the products. They want you to pay your bill but will not stand behind their work and products.

The Vector technician was so nice and efficient. Very prompt. Arrived during the scheduled time. He was able to replace my sensor in record time! He covered his feet with protective plastic and wore his mask. I will continue to use Vector.

The Customer Service today was so quick and very helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend. Was having some trouble with the doors locking and they quickly figured out the issue. We are in the middle of a Nor Easter and the customer service picked up instantly and then was able to troubleshoot and call me back with advice on how to fix the problem. Thank you!

Josh arrived promptly at the promised time, he also called 30 min prior to arriving. Josh was very nice and professional. He updated our system from a 2 Gig radio system to a 4 Gig system and he installed a new door lock with keypad. I was very please with his patience with me. He made me aware of the Vector App and helped me through the set up of the app. He also answered all my many questions and did not make me feel he was rushed at all. I really did appreciate that. He also took the time to make sure each of my less than 10 employees, knew how to use the new keypad lock and let each of them try it out before he left. Probably a couple of hours after he left my office, I had a few questions about some paperwork he left me. I texted him to ask him to call me back at his convenience as I had questions. He called me back almost immediately and answered my questions. Y'all need to hang onto him!

I called Vector to have an experienced technician inspect each and every component of our security system to insure the integrity of each component and the reliability of the system. Our technician was excellent. He inspected each and every component, and being as our system has been installed for many years, he discovered two faulty smoke detectors in the basement, along with an old Carbon Monoxide detector and replaced them all free of charge! He was very knowledgeable, well mannered, pleasant and respectful.

Vector was the alarm company offered by our community and we stayed with them. They always called us promptly when the alarm went off and if we were not available they contacted our alternate contact person right away. Whenever we had any issues and called them, we got through to their representatives right away and they were very knowledgeable and helpful, both in the technical support and billing. A couple of times that we needed a technician to come, they were able to send us one without much waiting time.

Vector provides not only exceptional equipment and hardware/software including the app that allows me to monitor my properties, it provides first class, responsive, thoughtful service. We needed to have the transmitters upgraded to the next generation on three properties. We have been a customer since 2009. Whenever we call Billing regarding the various accounts we have, it is never helpful and always discouraging. They are incapable of resolving issues. They push their responsibility back onto the customer. After repeating the same question three ways, the billing representative could not explain how they have misapplied payments we have made toward other accounts that do not belong to us. She could not advise how they were going to correct the matter either.

I contacted Vector a week ago regarding sensor bypass issue I've been having with my system. Called and scheduled appt for Monday 8-12...I had to call at 1230 because no one had showed up or called. I was then told tech was running a bit behind and that if it was ok he would still make it out but pushed window to 4pm. At 330 office called me and said they needed to reschedule. So I rescheduled for today Wed. From 12-4...At 4pm I had to call the office again...because no one had shown up. Office tells me she's going to check with the tech and call me right back...Well it is now 530pm and I have yet to hear back from her or the tech. Very rude and unprofessional. Never mind the fact that we have been sitting here paying for a service that no longer is functioning properly and I've wasted 2 whole days on them to fix the issue and they don't have the decency to return my call...

Chris came today to install our new panel, replace the batteries and install a doorbell camera. Over the many years we have been with Vector I always request Chris to take care of our system. I asked especially for him because he does such a good job, he answers all our questions when showing us how everything works, he is very nice and courteous and we feel very comfortable having him in our home. I chose Vector because my dad has it and has had nothing but great experience with it. I was very happy with the entire experience from speaking with a sales rep to the installation. The only thing I would recommend is if it is a non emergent call to state that right off the bat, as Darren did today. I had someone call me from the monitor center because there was a maintenance issue with my choke detector but I couldn’t understand her voicemail because she was mumbling and all I hear was “fire emergency”. She also called my Emergency contact and she has as much trouble understanding her as I did. So if it is maintenance related, it would be nice to say that right away and clearly so the customer doesn’t have a heart attack at work!

He came out on time. I was respectfully courteous. Bob was able to fix the issue, he replaced batteries in motion detectors. He also discussed with me about adding cameras to my system and what would be needed to complete the work. I will get back to Bob when I’m ready to install the cameras.

We chose Vector because we were not satisfied with 2 other home security systems we used in the past and wanted a company with a history of being reliable to protect our home. We had a new system installed and everything was easy from contacting them to get information and a quote to setting up the install. At the time we even got a free camera doorbell. The rep. who came out was awesome. He wore a N-95 mask and offered to put on shoe covers as well. He reviewed everything with us before and after the installation and placed our signs in the yard. We are very pleased.

Installation and all was great. Billing and communication within company is horrific. I wanted to close account due to financial hardship and they would not. Now I have to pay for service not used and I just saw a charge for another year without my consent. I owe over $1000 for no service? I had told customer service that I could not pay and there are notes in system. Customer service is horrible. Do not sign up with this company.

We already have Vector for our Maryland home and we are pleased with the service. The installation in Delaware was Outstanding. Mike, our technician, was professional and personable. He shared information that was helpful and important. He arrived on time and reviewed our product as well as how he will navigate his visit. We decided to add 2 carbon monoxide sensors to ensure additional safety with propane being our main source of heating and cooking.

Worst customer service ever! I have been trying for over a month to schedule a service call and made over a dozen calls. Rita ** in Dallas has been helpful but there is only so much that she can do as this was a former ADT account and serviced by a reseller. No one other than Rita will call me back and all I get is vm's of which I leave and is never returned.

Chris, the Vector technician who came to service our system, was the model of a professional. Upon arriving, he was wearing his face mask, and he immediately put coverings on his feet. He explained what he was there to do, and went about doing his job. He went about his tasks methodically, explaining what (and why) he was doing them. He was amicable, and chatted with both my wife and me while going about his work. Before he left, he asked whether we had any other questions. To give you an idea of what I thought of Chris, before retiring from Dish Network (the satellite tv company), I recruited and trained new employees. I was impressed enough that I would have offered him my business card, and tried to steal him from Vector.

Customer Service is non existent. I would suggest you look elsewhere. The system has several problems and after 3 attempts to get help from Vector (all they do is refer it to the local affiliate) and a couple directly with the local affiliate, who I actually spoke to, they said they would come out on 2 separate occasions and still have not shown up! I am done trying. I will definitely be looking to replace this service as soon as possible. It is useless!

Now the bad news. I have had the touchscreen replaced once and it is not working again!! The real problem with this company is the service. I have called the Poughkeepsie office twice, and left two emails. Two weeks later and no one has responded. FYI this happened the first time the touchscreen failed also and I had to call the salesman who then got in touch with the service people and had them call me. Absolutely ridiculous and stressful. We will see how fast they pick up the phone when I don't pay the monthly fee. Now I understand why they are the SECOND largest home alarm company. With customer service like this you simply will never be the first. Stick with ADT.

We wanted to add a doorbell camera to our system and the installer was great. He made sure everything was working properly before he left. He also made sure to answer any questions we had and he wore his mask and told us how appreciative he was that we wore ours during the installation. The only issue I have with the doorbell camera is that the very next day it stopped working. It seems to lose connectivity easily and so that’s problematic.

Our alarm went off last night at 11:30 pm. We were worried that someone had broken into the house because the alarm went off. The person that helped us was and he calmed us down by checking our system, only to find out that we had a faulty front door sensor. He set up a service appointment and walked us through the process of removing one of the zones so we could reset the alarm. He was courteous and very helpful - especially for an older couple abruptly worried about a break in. Many thanks.

We were previously with another home security company, but their equipment and customer service were way under par, to put it nicely. A friend of mine referred us to Vector when we asked for recommendations. The sales rep and installer were both very prompt for our appointments. The installation process was a little slow, but everything appeared to be functional when the tech left. Everyone on staff whom we have dealt with thus far have been professional and courteous.

Awesome service David was very knowledgeable and patient. He came to check the issue with my driveway camera, he ended up replacing it and he tested my system just to make sure everything was going well. I like the fact he was concerned if I had any questions. I also was able to add on the garage door opener feature. I would recommend to a friend.

I have had Vector security since 2007. Have done updates along the way. They have a Good reputation and plan on staying with them. Always have good experience with their technicians. Technician today found problem in just few minutes and we had a good laugh!!!

Todd was a pleasure to deal with at Vector. And Curtis and Steve were great. Quiet and nondistracting, but attentive, nice and polite. Bob called prior to coming to my home which prepared me ahead of time. I know this is normal procedure however, not only did he call but he was here at the exact time he said. He worked diligently and was professional in his demeanor and approach in my reconnect. He was meticulous in making me aware of and connecting me to all of items I already have through Vector and had not used. He was patient, precise, and a pleasure to work with. I would love to have him as our contact person always. He represents Vector very well.

We feel we were misled in what we signed up for as part of our HOA covers a basic Vector Security system using our landline. We specifically asked for the basic no additional cost package when we called Vector. We were then told to call a specific salesman who then came to the house and upon arrival said ‘you want the basic service’ to which we said yes no additional cost. Turns out he only works with the basic independent WiFi service that is an additional $22/month and the form we signed had nothing clearly stating we were signing up for the additional service. The response after the fact was that he only works with this level of service so it must be the independent WiFi package and that we had made the mistake as we signed the form he brought.
It seems very convenient that they use the term ‘Basic’ across multiple products and weren’t clear that it would be an additional amount over the amount paid by the HOA who they clearly have a partnership with. The installer was great but we have a bad taste in our mouth as we received a surprise monthly bill when we thought we only had to pay installation.

It took almost 2 months for service to change the back door sensor. The same time, I had a camera that wasn't working. I was told I had to make another service call, in which I did. It's been again...almost 2 months. I have been dealing with Ashley. I finally received a confirmation...again...with a no show...again. No phone call...no nothing. I'm so sick of this and want out of my contract, however it looks like I'm going to have to get an attorney. Even after everything I've been through with this company. Even after not having security in my back yard. Even after not being able to get anyone to show up after confirmations....This company has put me through hell and done nothing but lied and put blame on everyone else.

We recently refinished our basement, which required reconfigured and new alarms. Jeff could not have been move helpful/thoughtful in relocating our sensors in the first instance (several months back) and then taking great care to choose locations that prioritized our safety while fitting with the new design just last week.
