Kevin was very professional, friendly and made the process a smooth upgrade. I would definitely refer Kevin to anyone. However, I was not very happy with the salesperson Ben. He was very unorganized, condescending and I was unhappy having to work with him.

I love my Vector Security system at my home. The security system is affordable, and effective. I love the way I can arm and disarm my security system from cellphone while away from home. The sales rep was nice, and the installation rep was nice as well. I recommend vector security system to friends, family, and coworkers. This is definitely one of the best security systems out here.

I have been a long term customer with Vector. Their system is complete and their service rep, Chris, is top notch. He is very efficient, polite and thorough. We can go elsewhere and pay less but Chris knows our system and explains everything to us.

They are quick, efficient, good customer service and customer oriented service. I had a really good experience with Bob, he has good knowledge of the security system and he understand your needs and help you accordingly. Also explain you the aspect of the security system you want to get installed.

In the past couple months I have contacted various departments of Vector to get an alarm certificate for my insurance company to no avail. Three of the 6 contacts were to Dee Dee in Ft Lauderdale. I spoke to her once and she assured me I would get one emailed right away. Twice I left her a voicemail.....nothing. This is what I call nonexistent customer service. I'm ready to change companies.

Horrendous service due to lack of service people. The fire alarm was removed from our house and we waited over 2 weeks to finally get someone to replace it. The service representative was wonderful, her name was Mars, that rectified the situation. She needs to be recognized! Rethinking if I’ll stay with Vector. Awful service.

My home alarm system went off at 2:00 am screaming FIRE FIRE FIRE! It all went downhill from there. Vector was a terrible partner that night and has not called me to resolve it yet. Very dissatisfied.

Please cancel my account. My reason for cancellation is a private matter. Your monitoring service exceeded my expectations and gave us a secure feeling. The only thing I would add would be an open garage door indicator after a time that could be set by the user. Thanks for your help.

We feel very good about our Vector. Last visit (about 2 years ago) our local rep said I was NOT to be on a ladder changing batteries. He said he would send somebody to do that for me. It did not happen. I am now 83 and agree with him that ladders and I do not work well together. SO, I need help. ALSO you told me my equipment needed to be upgraded for the new cell phone hookup. My message said to reply and somebody would contact me. Has not happened. I am counting on Vector to keep us protected. I can be reached at **.

Not happy with Vector. I had the RING and was referred to you. The camera I have now does not capture everything even if someone is in front of my house. I don't like it and very disappointed in this product.

We have been customers for over 20 years. Just had new windows in so had to have the window security replaced. Guy came and did what we asked and we paid with a credit card before he left and have a receipt that says paid in full. Now I have received 2 bills from you and called and the recording said leave a message and I get a call back. Three hours later no call back. Not happy.

Thought It was a good deal over 5 years ago. Greenville SC office closed down, over two years ago and found to have moved several times before during my enrollment. No notifications. No Change of Address and your internet listings are were still up as no other offices outside of Columbia SC. No Contact of any kind. Requested; close of account, two months ago was sent an e-mail to do so. Made three attempts to get it that sent back right. Hoping it would make it. Nothing has happened and no replies. Hope this answers your question if I'm satisfied.

I have not been able to adjust the air conditioning temperature on my app for the last month. I have called many times & the problem has not been solved. About one month ago I paid to have my system upgraded.

Our original doorbell camera (installed Dec 2020) went out couple months ago. Local branch said it would be two weeks before tech appointment. Came in one week and replaced doorbell camera. Went out again when we changed our network password. Tried online repair three times. Called office and told two more weeks for tech appointment. Seems like they need more help.

Right from the start got bad info from salesman on motion sensors. I tall guy didn't put camera where I asked. He put it where he wanted it and took hours to do so. Had to have camera reinstalled and all of the sudden after 3 1/2 months started working as it should from the beginning. Geneva office never answers phone and has returned 1 phone call in 4 months. Not how to do business.

1. Two weeks ago we have an error with a zone and the first appointment we could get was 8/5.
2. Our access control broke today and to get someone on the phone took forever, the access control website is NOT working and I am waiting for someone to respond.
3. To try and get out of VM hell on your phone system is impossible.

I was looking for a Security System and a young man came to my door. After promising the Moon and the Stars, REP (That’s her name) AND HER COLLEAGUES are nothing but liars. They don’t keep their word and nothing get installed or repaired properly. Once my contract is up, I’m done.. have never ever had a such a bad security outfit until REP and her crew. The most unprofessional bunch of people.

Kevin arrived at scheduled time for install. Very friendly and professional. He performed a very complicated job in a timely manner. Always willing to answer our questions. Price was beat in the market and reviews were in the top 3-5. I had to pay for moving a Camera after initial installation. I was told by the borrowed Richmond installers that I could move it if I didn’t feel it covered enough area. It created a big blind spot. After several request using the system I finally just called direct for service and my Regular Tech came out. I had to move another camera also in the interior. I thought I could get this done free too at first. I ended up paying for some but not all of it. I also have other complaints that are minor but quite a few. I’m still waiting to have my glass breakage sensor adjusted or moved. Each time I’ve had a false alarm when leaving and the door slams it goes off.
If they are right it’s just very confusing to the client. Greg the sales guy is great. Plus the Technician from VA Beach who fixed all the problems was also very helpful and easy to talk to and work with.

I chose Vector because I used them at my old house for many years. When we moved into a new house 18 months ago, we had a new Vector system installed (with newer tech panel and equipment). Since then, problems with the equipment occur almost monthly. We’ve had all of our door sensors and a few of the window sensors replaced. The doorbell camera (which has required several service calls) still does not work consistently. Now, the smoke detectors and a door sensor (which was already replaced) are malfunctioning (our fire alarm even activated at 4am).
Getting a service call scheduled is such a headache…always having to call Vector’s CS number, only to have them leave a message for the local office with a notice that they would call back within 24 to 48 hours. When a tech does come out, a few times they were 3rd party contractors who did not have the equipment needed to resolve the issue. When that happens, I have go through the process to call for another appointment. This is the frustration Vector's contacts for 3 years with its customers.

We are long term clients and really like the service and features of both Vector and their Alarm app. These upgrade went off without a hitch today with your techs. I will recommend you. Panels were installed and I was trained. The app was updated and all locations attached.

We have had this security system since 1988 and have kept it through different companies. Westec was first. We loved the FM antenna in case phone line was cut but unfortunately they stopped that service. Like knowing we had glass protection on a huge sunroom if someone broke the glass to get in. We were broken into 2 times which made us get system in the first place.

Had multiple devices and wasn’t sure which battery was low. Turns out Devon identified two non working devices, removed them and then replaced battery which was low. He also patiently showed us how to bypass a window when we use our window unit air conditioner.

I had to replace my router and the customer service technical rep walked me through reconnecting my driveway camera myself over the phone because the service reps were already booked for home visits for the next week. The technical rep was very patient with me and it took over an hour for her to talk me through it but we got it done. She was very nice and I appreciate her help!

Our system needed a 4G update. Technician was on time, quick, and friendly. Our shed door also needed a sensor adjustment. He also replaced the batteries in our sensors. Overall very happy with the experience. Would recommend to friends and family.

They showed up at my door offering service that wouldn’t require me to sign up for a long term contract. That was false. But you don’t find that out until you move away or need to cancel. They installed equipment that broke my doorbell which they never fixed even after several visits. All of their door alarms fell off the doors or broke, so I never actually had security. They never fixed it even after several visits. And then I move away and call to cancel and now suddenly have to pay the full remaining balance of the contract that they lied to me about. So I’m out $2500 and they wouldn’t even take their own janky equipment back. If you see them at your door, shut it, lock it, and call ADT!!

When I cancelled my landline, Vector charged me $100 to install a piece in my system so it would call by cell service. I called the office to report this several times and today was the last time. They said the soonest they could get out to find out what the problem is would be in August - over 2 weeks. I told the person they could refund my $100, remove the piece and cut off my service. He said he would transfer me to the dept that handled cancellations. There was no one available.

Excellent installation and service. Job looks neat and clean. Great!! Nick work hard to install the lock but hole for lock was too small so he had to replace the old lock. Nick was careful and looked out for the owner’s property. Owner will contact locksmith to expand the hole for the lock and looks forward to working again with Nick.

At the time Vector had a contract with my community. In the beginning I could access my cell phone for monitoring my cameras. Sometime later, I could not get images on my phone. After 2 servicemen tried and failed, I gave up and used the monitor in my house only.

Not happy with Vector Security.... After having this company for almost 20 years, due to lack of communication, etc. The billing needs to be monitored too = overcharging almost every month. Not only that but response time is not good either.

Everything went very well with the new replacement of our alarm system. AJ was very professional and explained everything really well. Tech came to replace a battery and resolve an issue with arming security from the app. He came less than 24 hours after I called for service. He phoned when he was on the way. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding our system. He installed the battery and made a change to the programming on the system. He worked quickly, but took time to answer my questions. I was very pleased with the service.

I have called and left messages about my phone app. Cannot pick up anything or even log onto app. I have lived here since March of 2019 and signed up. Have alarm system in place and works fine. I have tried several times. Deaf ears. If you don't want to help me, there are other companies that want my business.

Eli was top shelf - knew his stuff, took his time, explained everything perfectly. Our system was extremely complicated and large - the installation took two days to complete. Job was thorough and complete. He was very attentive and even cleaned up perfectly. Excellent professional job. He even stayed late though there was an impending storm coming. The system itself is clearly laid out and is easy to use and learn.

I've Vector Security for over 20yrs, and I've the maintenance plan. My issue takes over 3 weeks to be resolved. For instance, my key ring (which is the only way for me to set my alarm) is over 20 years old and not working. I called to get a new one and I was told I need to wait 3 weeks. So for 3 weeks I have this expensive monitoring system that is useless. I cannot turn it on when I go out, as your guys decided to set it up the system in my basement. May be I should provide me with SimpliSafe phone number.

Very disappointed - monitoring fee went from $23 to $46 a month. I will go with another company. Also two neighbors have same service and they will be cancelling also - I expect fee would go up a few dollars - not double!!

I chose Vector because it appeared to be a reputable company. I had a incident where a sensor fell off the window and set off the alarm. Vector did not respond for at least 5 minutes after the alarm was set off. When I complained to Vector management, I was told they were busy and had gotten to me as soon as they could. This was around 2:00 AM. This is not satisfactory, I could have been killed by an intruder and they wouldn't have cared. I am currently waiting until my time agreement is up and I am certainly going to be looking for a new security service.

Already have their system installed in my home and the batteries in the smoke detectors needed to be replaced. Tech called to tell me he would be here in 10 minutes. He showed up on time and went to work. He was very customer friendly.

The technician Bob was very professional and courteous. He called when he was on his way and arrived when he said he would. He was dressed very nicely and greeted me with a smile. He asked me what the issues we were having and after I explained them he was able to fix everything and put in a new detector in a better location. Bob also offered additional advice to add additional equipment, I will be discussing later with my wife. I reported two issues on 20 June 2021 which require a service technician. The appointment was scheduled for 19 July 2021! Really? I have to wait a month for someone from Vector to show up. That is ridiculous. I've been a Vector customer for several years, and the quality of service has been trending downward. Maybe it's time to deactivate the service and move on.

I am very pleased with Vector Security and the technician, A.J. was very competent and went above and beyond to fix the problems that I was having and did extra things to prevent problems in the future. Not only did he fix the problem, but he checked my smoke alarm to make sure it was working fine and answered all the questions I asked. Original Review: We had Vector Security at our previous house for 12 years and was very pleased so when we moved it was a no brainer to go with Vector to install and monitor at our new house. We were very pleased with the installation however the collector has been very rude and condescending. My husband and I are hard workers who pay our bills however we do live paycheck to paycheck. Our previous bill was due towards the end of the month whereas the new house bill is due at the beginning of the month. I called and asked to switch the date and was told absolutely not. Therefore every month I get a late notice and occasional emails from Sami ** who has been rude and condescending. It is unfortunate you are so strict and can’t help move a date for customers who have been with you for so many years. I will be looking to move our services. In the meantime y’all can keep sending the late notices. Very disappointing!

The previous owner used Vector so we stayed with Vector. Vector consistently contacted us within minutes if they detected a breach. They were prompt and professional.. Installation was already completed when we moved into the home. We have been a customer for 14 years. We're moving into a facility that has their own security so we will no longer be able to use Vector.

Been customer for over 10 years. Mike the installer was very professional and had time to explain new system. The office staff was disorganized, gave wrong appointment times, did not call, I had to call them. It took a month to get the new system installed after it was disconnected on May 6... we were installing new doors.

I was a former customer of Vector Security when I lived in PA before moving to FL. The service from the branch in PA was why when my contract with the company that serviced the monitoring of my security system when I moved to Florida was finished made it an easy choice to go back to Vector because of the great service I received in PA. Well what a difference different divisions are run. First of all trying to reach their customer service is a nightmare, no one is ever available and if you leave a message no on ever returns calls. Secondly, back in PA my system was tested by one of their technicians once a year at my house as part of my service agreement, free of charge, when I talked to the salesperson who I signed the 3 year agreement with I asked if they also did in home annual service tests of the systems and he assured me that they did and not once did I get a phone call to have my system tested.
When I had problems with my sensors I had to call into the service center and in a couple of instances they had to tell me how to put an area on bypass until they could send me a part to install myself or have a technician to my house which I had to pay for. Never up north did I have to pay for a technician, oh yeah probably because they did an annual service check of my system. Third the cost of my monitoring was almost half of the cost of what it was here and I got more like email notifications when my system activated and deactivate and I could remote access my system up north but if I wanted that service I would have to pay even more down here. Finally the only time they asked what they could do more of is when I sent them an email when my contract was over and I told them that I gave them my 30 day notice of cancellation. It seems like that was when they really cared about my service experience with their company.

Horrible company. Save yourself money and time but just going with Ring. Their customer service is the worst, they schedule appointments and don’t come. They tell you a manager will call you back and they don’t. I’ve only had their system for a year and have had multiple issues. I’m currently trying to get out of my contract but can’t get anyone to call me back. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and saw other similar complaints. THE WORST COMPANY!!! DON'T DO IT!

I chose Vector probably 20 years ago or more because a neighbor had a recent break in. They were recommended for me. I've had it a long time and haven't had many problems. Today, my technician showed up on time and was very knowledgeable and respectful to me. He installed new window sensors and a fire alarm. I would recommend this system to others. He came to replace a battery but also said I needed to replace the radio card and upgrade to 4g. I was surprised by this since the card was $300. He then said if I signed a 3 year contract he could reduce the price. I am not upset with him but felt Like I had no choice but to renew

I chose Vector for the installation being free. Unfortunately this has a 3 year contract. Technically this company and the installer were unable to use my preferred email. I had a certification letter that took time and money to delete from my business computer. In order to get my own information or change things - I had to put it in writing via United States Post Office with original signature. There are many variables and better security services that I have used. Stuck here for many months about 24 months. I prefer Simply Safe alarm system. Will return to that once out of this contract or review in 2023.

Doorbell is not working right. Cameras always losing signal. Sensors sometimes works. Door protector is broken for been pull so many times to fix the sensor. My last visit from a technician was the worst. It was scheduled between 1 & 4. I was panicking that there was no one coming to replace my thermostat. Prior to this visit the technician suggested that I have an electrician come out because clearly the thermostat wasn’t the issue. I followed his suggestion and paid an electrician to come out who removed the thermostat from the wall and made my heating system work. When the thermostat was replaced I got nothing, I called Vector back for them to come back out. The technician came back out to replace the thermostat time frame between 1 & 4. It was 3:30 and I had heard nothing. I work nights and was worried that I had missed them, falling asleep.
I began to call to find out if I had and got nowhere. I tried to put in a ticket so that they would come back out if I had missed them. The technician pulls up @ 3:53 pm which was in the window. Replace the thermostat it didn’t charge fast enough or whatever it was supposed to do. He told me “It’s not charging and I don’t have 30 minutes to wait and it’s not fair to my other customers.” As if it was my fault that it didn’t charge. It wasn’t fair to me that he pulled up 7 minutes before the time frame was up. He came back the next day to program the thermostat and connect it to the app and of course I didn’t have my code or whatever I needed for that. (He didn’t tell me I needed it the day before he rushed out.) I tried to call to talk to someone but got nowhere. I want to cancel my subscription but I’m locked in a contract.

Customer service is good, but... We test our alarm every month. Sometimes we have to explain to the customer service agent how to check the alarm. You need to train them on the desk to know what to do. Also, want to change sensors for newly installed windows but your price is outrageous. Should make some allowances for long term customers.

We signed. Long term contract that finally ends in January 2022. We could not be more excited to switch back to a different provider. The service is awful! The service reps can’t answer basic questions. We moved our system from SC to FL.. Every step of the way it was a joke. We would get daily calls that our system was showing error codes. We had to explain “yes...YOU disconnected it and reconnecting in another state...it’s not hooked up currently.” Panel was never hooked up correctly in FL. I have an outlook reminder to call in January to end the service.

I had just purchased a home in Texas right before the start of the pandemic. Part of the home buying experience was a concierge service which assisted us in getting all of our services connected, one of which was security/alarm services. I had been with Brinks for well over 25 years at my last residence with no issues. We took the recommendation for Vector Security and have regretted it ever since. Monthly cost is 30 bucks more than I was paying for Brinks and the contract locks you in for 5 years with a substantial penalty if you cancel early. I should have been more attentive to what I agreed to so it's my bad. Can't wait to cancel this service.

Updated on 08/02/2021: I've been trying for months to get my cameras fixed and no luck. I just gave up waiting for my contract to end so I can go to a company that has customer service. Had a technician come out and take a camera off for repair. He never came back. I've found out since he doesn't work for the company anymore.

I was not told total price upfront. I took the app off and was charged for it and something else that I don't know what it was. I also am having trouble with motion detector going off 10 to 11 minutes after I leave. Nothing is happening at my house. I even waited down the street to check it out, and no one was around or got into my house. They said they would send a technician, but no one has contacted me. I called every day for over a week, and no one returned my messages. I have had to take an extra job to pay for all of this.

Had a service tech out and he serviced it and it worked for a short period. Now it’s hit or miss. It may record. It might not. We paid Vector Security $759.70 to install security equipment and service. The equipment failed to provide service on each day for 4 consecutive days. The third day a serviceman came back to the house to correct the problem but the failed equipment and service persisted for 4 days. On the 4th day we notified Vector Security of our intent to cancel our contract and offered to give back the equipment. Even notifying them was a problem in itself since we had to leave messages on their voicemail on 3 separate occasions. We didn't receive a call back for 2 hrs. The audacity that a security company doesn't even answer their customers calls is shameful.

It would be nice to be able to call you without being subjected to forced commercials and advertisements that have nothing to do with my alarm system. I have never had worse customer service. I have been trying to add cameras to my system since March 31, as well as have one panel repaired. I have sent emails, left voicemails, and get no response. I have tried specific people within Vector, as well as leaving messages in the general "sales" and "service" mailboxes. Finally last weekend I contacted a different company to install cameras and the gentleman was at my home the very next morning. I would not recommend Vector to anyone.

Installation was great, Rod was very helpful and informative and showed me everything that we needed to know. Walked us through the App and everything. Also showed us how to use the central vac system. Installed additional smoke detectors and alarms quickly. Curtis was awesome! He was on time and very helpful on all of our concerns. He answered all of our questions and was very professional. I'm very excited to now have the Carbon dioxide protection for our family. We have four kids and I know our family is safe and protected with our new Vector Security system. I really love the front door bell feature along with all of the other upgrades this new system brings to our family.

Service techs are great. The person that does the scheduling needs some major training. 1st appointment (4/26/21)the tech was 1 1/2 hours late. After 1 hour I had to get back to work so we re-scheduled. 2nd appointment (5/5.21) tech was prompt and very nice guy. Everything went well. 3rd appointment (5/25/21). Had appointment for 8:00. Tech called at 8 to say he was just leaving his shop 1/2 hour away. Wife sitting home missing work. Need to learn how to schedule better.

Initial installation was good. However, the display box came loose and when I call to have it fixed, the representative ask for tape and then said he would return with the screws needed. He never returned. Two week ago, my son received a text saying the battery was low. When we return home, the display was off. I submitted a request for the battery to be replaced. I have called the main office and the local office many times and not received a response.

Had minimal contact-spoke with one rep. when I had alarm system go off and she was extremely rude but that was a long time ago. Monitoring was extremely high priced compared to other companies but at least cancellation due to selling of home was easy.

The service tech on this house call was super duper awesome! He was super friendly and helpful explaining everything in detail to me. The best part of this is how comfortable I felt as he went about the house doing his thing! Most people you do not feel this comfortable with let someone in your home. This man is a good man and deserves to be recognized for his amazing customer service skills!

The technician arrived on time, clearly knew what to do, and had the replacement part installed very quickly. He was courteous and explained what was doing. At the end the system was reprogrammed, and works fine. He also answered some general questions about the system.

We had a service call today to fix a low battery on our siren. The technician Bob call when he was on his was to let me know the time he would arrive and was there on time. He was able to fix our issue and took additional time to help me reset my login to the alarm system. Very grateful for the additional help he provided for us. Thank You

Kevin was very friendly and answered variety of questions. I was interested in some new product. Kevin explained several option. He also handled our not being happy to be told there was a fee for the upgrade on the cell phone for the first time and I also would like to know what my insurance covers.

Vector did the right thing and gave me the quote at the right price. Apparently a former employee was trying to upsell my account rather than just get me what I needed. Very appreciated that the customer service manager addressed this right away and got me set up correctly. Glad I get stay with Vector!

We have been loyal customers for many years with Vector (8 years +). We like our service and are happy with it. Recently I started reading and getting emails about the 3G network leaving the towers. This will affect my home. I inquired about this charge and was not told exactly what it would be. When I asked about it, I was told that it would cost close to $500 to fix this. By the way that is the cost to go to another provider, which we plan on doing. What really irritates me though is that recently, the company I work for about 15 miles from my home, also has Vector and also has to upgrade the system. When I asked about this, they told me it was $250 and no labor fee. Why the two different prices? I will say that my experience with my company which is in a different branch, Mansfield Ohio, was a 5 star rating for assistance with our issue. My company will remain with Vector, my home will NOT.

I chose Vector security a year ago because I loved the person who came to my door and told me about it. These past few months however, have been horrible. First, my sensors stopped working randomly in the middle of the night. After this happened for a few nights, someone came and changed the batteries. A week or so after the batteries were changed, the same exact problem persisted. Already frustrated, I reached out for help again. A technician then came and replaced each sensor as a whole.
Now today I get home and my front door sensor is non-stop beeping. A representative recommended I bypass the front door sensor otherwise I wouldn’t get sleep tonight. I’m paying monthly for security, why would I want the main door sensor to my house bypassed? I’m paying for security and getting absolutely no peace of mind and the only solution they have is to keep sending people out here. And I’m still paying for all the time I’ve been unprotected. Would not ever recommend this company.

I chose Vector because I already had Vector. I am incredibly pleased with the services provided by Kevin. He explained everything to me in advance so that I had sufficient information to make my decisions. He explained everything at the end so that I could quickly and easily understand the system. What I was most impressed with, however, was how he understood what I needed and what would matter to me as he placed the cameras and armed the system. I have the appropriate views from the cameras and I feel that it is very much worth the time and expense. I have always been pleased with the service provided by Vector, but Kevin really took everything above and beyond the service level that I experienced before. It truly was outstanding, outstanding service. I feel much safer now. Thank you for sending someone so expert with the system.
