    After admitting they sent someone out who did not know our system and putting in new parts that which did not fix the problem then, it then went off again the next day and they said they could come back out and fix it again but we would have to pay for another service call. So we have now move two of building to a different security company.

    The package I was sold for new home was found to not be sufficient for the home so the tech took notes and pictures and advised I would be contacted. Everyone has been very nice but this has put me in a situation where a new home isn’t monitored and it’s a little aggravating. Today was Monday..Install was suppose to be Friday. I haven’t heard a peep and how we are going to get this going and how much more money $$$?!

    I've used Vector now at two different houses. Overall, it's a little disappointing. It's nearly impossible to get a technician on the phone. And, it takes weeks to get them out to the house to resolve a problem. And, even then, they are almost never on time. So, I block off a whole day, stay home, and waste my entire day waiting. I like Vector for setting up my initial alarm. But, I would highly recommend switching over to something like Geo Alarm once the contract is over. Save lots of $$$$. It doesn't even make sense for Vector to charge people $70/month when other companies will do the same thing for $20.

    I am leaving Vector because a former Vector employee had a highly suspicious “fall” at my house during installation and sued me and my wife. The entire ordeal lasted well over a year and my insurance company was forced to settle with this individual.     Had a new system installed on 09/28/2021. On 09/29/2021, I notified Vector that a component had failed and needed service. I received an email acknowledging the service request, but heard nothing else. I called the Columbia office 3 times and left voicemail without a response. I called again today and was placed in the queue (1st in line) for over 20 minutes before I ended the call. I then called to cancel my service and was put through to the service desk, who dispatched a technician immediately.

    The service technician arrived ahead of schedule and promptly replaced the failed component. He was polite, knowledgable, and professional. If your company cannot return phone calls requesting service, I am at a loss as to how you can manage to monitor security systems effectively. If I do not see a marked improvement in your customer service, I will terminate my plan and find one of your competitors to care for securing my home.

    The system was not operational when the installers left. I waited a few days and reported my new system was not working. On my bill was a charge for missed appointment. I was not supposed to be charged in the first year of a new account. My waiver request was denied. I wish I had never signed up at all. I wish Vector would cancel my contract without penalty.

    I had a new door camera installed a few months back which stopped working after a few weeks. Last week I scheduled a tech for Friday and took off work, they have me a 8-12 window. 12:15 rolls around. I call the branch and ask what’s going on, they have the tech call me and he’s 2-3 hours behind. I told him not to bother. I already wasted the entire day away waiting and took off work.     We "inherited" your system when we purchased our home. It has been adequate but we believe it is currently outdated. When we had some issues with window switches several months ago, a tech came out and told me to use WD40 on the switches and they'd be fine. I would have expected him to replace the switches to something more reliable, but that wasn't the case. I am unsure how reliable they are. When I asked if I could get an app to monitor my system, he just said it was too old. No offer to update it, etc. So, not thrilled with your product right now.

The previous camera would not read license plates of unknown vehicles and that's an issue and one of the main reasons I have a security system is to identify individuals or unknown automobiles that show up in my garage.     Bought my service almost three years, right after I purchased they pushed out to customers a new way of protecting and securing my property. When I called I was told now I have to purchase something else or pay over my limits of captures. Feel like this was more of a bait and switch. As well new equipment came out within a few weeks, then also knew that and when my equipment was installed they already knew it was going to be outdated. Just very disappointed.     We are very dissatisfied with Vector. Our doorbell camera worked for a week and then stopped working. We paid for the service call and they were not able to get it working blaming it on our wifi. We had AT&T come and check that and they got on the phone with Vector and was NEVER able to solve the problem. So, we have not had a working camera for over a year. I do not want to pay for another service call.

    Moved into my house 2 years ago and had a guy come to my door to sell me the system. Props to him cause he sold it and did a dang good job. Well, I have had nothing but issues with this system. Maintenance has been out a few times. Never stays connected to WiFi. Cameras constantly not working. Tried to cancel and guess what!!! Stuck in a 5 year contract!!!! No way to get out of it. I was told, "YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME," but nope I get the “ma’am you signed this and that” but it was more of a “sign here and there oh and sign here” type of situation.

    Well guess what?! I have been paying for a security system over the last 6 months THAT I CAN'T EVEN USE! No wifi. Cameras and all just there. Costing me money monthly. They refuse to cancel contract. They suck. I’ll never recommend. But my maintenance guy and the guy who installed it all was awesome and very professional. The ONLY good thing I have to say about this company.

    I chose Vector because I knew they'd been in business awhile and I recognized the name. I've had my camera system for several years now. The cameras take a while to load in snt browser. And often, one or more won't load, usually the one that's most important at the time. The old interface being based on Flash, it was outdated when installed, and Vector was quite slow in updating it when Flash was phased out. Once that occurred, the new interface took a step backward, in my opinion. It has less of a modern look, and when I want to examine several hours of video, playback is limited to 16X, whereas the old system had 32X and I believe 64X. So research takes significantly longer. And no matter what browser I use, it conks out often. And auto sign-off is not user controllable and happens much too fast.

    The discount for prepayment is minimal and should be more. Also, I have many friends who have much better performing systems with more cameras, and they pay nothing for the service. Generally, I have a mediocre opinion of Vector. Those in marketing and sales seem to have no interest in these complaints, and my suggestions fall on deaf ears. I have strongly considered moving to another system, but inertia keeps me with Vector for now. For now...

    I choose Vector because that's was one of my builders' contractors. So ever since I had vector it's been problems after problems... My security cameras keep going down, and how long it took my to get my doorbell camera which now does not work.. The doorbell knock that jams on a constant, to where I would just rather use my house key.. And not to mention the fact that I needed a certificate from the company for my insurance premium that was sent over to me with incorrect information.. I called in twice. Stayed on the phone for nearly 1 hour (entire lunch break) trying to get it straight.. I've also sent over emails to the person who sent over the incorrect certificate on September no response.. Next week will be a month later... And VECTOR SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST.. Yea they have a lot to work on.

    Tech called me that he needs to install new cellular Device and wanted to come same morning. I said was going out of town, but if quick he can come. He came out did task and left. A few hours later I was on a plane. Family called me when I landed panicking that alarm keeps going off. Called tech and he said he could not come back until late afternoon. My wife works night shift and needed to sleep. I asked tech to remote in and disable it. They could do this prior to device change. He said he couldn't remote in. He called my wife mid afternoon and wife said it stopped alarming so he closed ticket. I called him and said, "Why did you close the ticket without determining cause as I don't want it to go off in middle of night." He did not see why this is important which blew me away.

    Meanwhile he showed up very late in afternoon and was spending a lot of time troubleshooting. Wife called me pissed because she once again needed to sleep for night shift. I called tech and asked him just to disable the system and leave. He did that but nobody ever reached back and my.system has been off ever since. I want credit for time system was off and want a better.technician to come fix it.

    Vector & alarm.com are horrible. The smallest request either phone or email is met with multi transfers & no help. I changed WiFi service providers & simply needed to switch the settings on my cameras. The troubleshooting from their app constantly holding a button down Never works! I went in the website to change it. That failed. I called since August 30th for help. No one helped me. It’s now September 29th still no help. I called multi times to again be transfers around. No one could seem to get theses settings changed. It’s super simple & yet after 39 days, multi calls & holds no one helped. It’s terrible service & not worth it. I’m stuck with horrible service. Both cameras still don’t work. I put in a ticket & still no one has called to help.

    Called again today September 29th. Transferred around then told I can’t make a service appointment. I have to wait another 24-48 hours for someone to call me to make an appointment. Completely ridiculous & a waste of time. After hearing my issue & that it has been going on for 30 days I have to wait Just to make an appointment. Terrible company. I placed my ticket over 24 hours ago just to be told I have to wait another 48 hours just to make an appointment not for help but for an appointment. Y’all need to do better. I want my money back for a full months service. These cameras still don’t work! They waste your time & transfer you around. Regret I ever signed up for service.

    I recenlty called for service for a low battery warning for the main security panel for my home monitoring system. We had a technician out to replace the battery on Friday Sept 24. Not 24 hours later we received a new warning that a different battery was low/failing on a motion detector for the same system. When I called to schedule a NEW service the person taking the call was short and rude with me, cutting me off as I asked more questions to try and understand why there was not a 'check all batteries' protocol when out on service calls for any battery replacement. In addition, the explanation provided was based on maximizing efficiency for Vector, thereby implying that my time was less valuable in making multiple service calls and needing to be available for multiple appointments with 4 hour service windows each! There are too many security companies to be treated poorly and undervalued in this way.

    I've cancelled my service. The system frequently stops working for no apparent reason and you have to call in and have it reset. The technician oftens leaves it in a mode that prevents you from being able to set the alarm necessitating yet another call. My system was randomly going off so I had a technician out to look at the system and after charging me for a battery backup, he told me it wasn’t the battery backup. It was something else. I asked him to return the back up and remove it from the bill but he said he wasn't allowed to do that even though he was wrong about the problem. This took two trips from him and three phone calls. My system is broken more than it has ever worked and I would recommend that you use a different monitoring company.

    Vector Security is included with our newly built GL Builders Valencia Grove home. In addition to the security system we installed cameras in the back, front and living room as well as the doorbell. We have had nothing but trouble. Since we are out of town for part of the year we rely on the system. Every two weeks some part of the system is not working. It is nearly impossible to get any assistance from Vector other than to tell us to unplug the system and replug it back in. The whole reason we have the system is because we are out of town, so that doesn’t work for us. Now our front doorbell camera is not working and has not been working for the past two weeks. Prior to that, the system would not communicate for at least two weeks. It is still not recording correctly. We cannot get anyone out to fix the system. Would not recommend at all and are very dissatisfied.

    Vector Security, took 3 weeks to response to several calls. Regarding the alarm going off, trying to get a service rep to advise. We were inquiring about installing a fire radio for monitoring at 6051 W Commercial Blvd. We are still needing to replace the fire panel and annunciator due to displays not readable. The following are the options to replace equipment and install fire radio.

    I renewed my contract with Vector in Orlando and was not totally explained to by your sales person the length of the contract. I moved to Tampa and again your sales guy was so unprofessional I was uncomfortable dealing with him. I decided to go with another company only to find out that my contract has yrs to go and your lack of ethics makes it impossible for me to option out. The new owners of my house I sold in Orlando did not want to go with vector because they had a bad experience with them. So I am left with no option but to cancel the contract and pay the large amount left. I would never recommend your company to anyone.

    Our Vector system was 30 years old and had numerous age-related malfunctions. The salesperson, Frank, recommended replacing/upgrading everything and I was surprised to find out the new system was a fraction of the original cost.     For the past 2 days, I have tried to talked with someone about my 80 year old Mother's home Vector security system. I have talked to two CSR's and both took my phone number telling me that I can hold while someone looks into this issue or I can wait for them to call me back. I stayed on hold 40 minutes each time and someone would pick up the phone and put me back on hold. Also, no one has called me back. Here is the issue: The security system fails to work due to poor cell service in the area. A Tech with Vector Security came to my Mother's home to tested the system and told us that the sales rep that sold this system for a three year contract should have known. Is this why no one wants for talk with me about this?
