My experience with Trugreen thus far has been unacceptable and I do not recommend this company to anyone. Trugreen has time and time again proven themselves to be incompetent in their services, management and customer care. On repeated occasions, they claim to have provided a lawn care service (feeding or monthly touch up control) but my wife, who is a stay at home, never receives a call to say their coming or sees the servicemen in our yard. To add insult to injury, our gates are locked, so unless they jumped the fence and fed the lawn with our dog in the yard, they are falsifying documents to their management for payment.

After the last application, my lawn is a beautiful even dark green.

For the most part, happy with lawn. Don't know about pest control part - we just added that service but it does seem a bit better. I'm very unhappy with the tree and shrub. I lost several trees and bushes but they say it was not from product. But I'm not really for sure about that because I didn't have problems with them prior. But as a whole TruGreen has really helped my lawn and the technicians have been courteous and nice - just need a little tweaking on following request to call before servicing so that we can be there to unlock gate to get entire service done.

The technician was very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. They were there when they said they would be and were efficient in carrying out the aerating and seeding. I have been happy with the service this year and feel it was money well spent. Having taking pride in caring for my lawn for over 35 years, it would be easy to be critical of someone else doing it but Trugreen has done a pretty good job and I will probably use your service next year as long as the cost does not go out of my price range. The results of this seeding are yet to be seen as it has only been a week, but I was assured if it did not meet my expectations they would come back out.

The people who come to my home to perform the work are very professional and considerate. The product that they are using is very good, but I still have a few stubborn weeds, especially along borders that continue to grow. I do have to hand treat these and I know I can call and have someone return. This occurred with previous lawn care companies also. Overall I am happy with my service.

Only one word can explain the service specialist, services provided and recommended, exemplary.

I asked my service rep. about a weed in my lawn. He told me what it was and that TRUGREEN has the chemical to kill it. He told me the weed would begin turning brown in a day or so. Guess what, he was on target. The nut grass is dying out and my lawn is looking great for fall!!! Thank you.

The lawn look 75% better, the service men are very nice and professional, really the only complaint I have is they need to let ya know that they are coming. My last 2 visits trugreen did that and it's nice to know I am a customer. Personal touch is always nice.

I left TruGreen to search for and hire a tree/shrub program that would also provide trimming and other landscape duties. But during my search I found that parts of the comprehensive specialization TruGreen provides would be lost. Schedules became unfollowable. I'm back with TruGreen. I'm also impressed with the professionalism I saw them exhibit as I left and returned.

I have never been home to personally meet the lawn specialists. But I can truly say that each time, they have done a timely and magnificent job. My grass is much greener, thicker and healthier. I will be returning to TruGreen next spring!

When we first hired TruGreen in the past, we had lots of problem. I had to let them go. In 2010. They requested that things will be better. So far, as to date, my lawn is looking healthy and green. If there is any problem after the treatment, I will reported it to them and they will send the specialist to check on the problem (free of charge). The specialist is courteous, helpful and the most important, he always knock on the door, and ask if there is any legitimate concern before starting the treatment.

I've been a Trugreen customer for several years. I'm very pleased and impressed with the effectiveness of their weed and feed lawn treatment. No dandelions, clover, plantain, etc. The technician always is very courteous and informative about the treatment he's applying to my yard and ready to answer my questions.

We contracted with TruGreen for the season. As the season went on, we noticed numerous weeds in our lawn. A call was made to inform them and as far as we know, no one came out. If anyone did, what they put on the lawn didn't work because nothing changed. A little more time passed and we then decided to cancel the service. Still no one came out to assess the situation. We asked for a refund for the season, since our lawn looked as if it had not been treated. Calls to the local branch were not successful, so pictures were sent to corporate. This got a response and we were assured that our money would be refunded. A rep then came out and said that our lawn could have been treated but wasn't. So far we have received a partial refund-- for the cancelled services and for one additional service. Still waiting for the balance. Couldn't be more dissatisfied and will not recommend TruGreen to anyone.

Just got off the phone with TruGreen... again. This time I was provided with a refund for the last treatment before I cancelled service. Very disappointed. I had them come out in the spring and first treatment was the ONLY one that seemed to work. They took care of all dandelions... but after that first application, I did not see any improvement. I called numerous times (yet they mysteriously say I only called ONE time). I finally got an area manager to come out. He admitted that crabgrass had taken over the yard and that it would require a special solution. Be patient... be patient is all I heard.

We never should have left TruGreen. We returned to them this year and our lawn has never looked better. We won't ever make that mistake again!!!

My lawn looks worse than it did a year ago. I'm highly disappointed with the customer service. Promises made and never kept by the local supervisor who came to see what was my issue after numerous phone calls to the local office and threats to discontinue service. I was promised a few things like soil samples and a detailed plan of what was going to be done to my lawn to fix it. I would incur no new charge until I was satisfied with the service. Obviously this never happened and I was charged for service in September. Customer service reps were rude and condescending. I canceled the service. It's not worth the aggravation.

He always is on time and the work he does is first class.

I only used TruGreen for my trees and scrubs this year. The specialist always does a very thorough job of treating my trees and scrubs. The early spring treatment was late this year and I especially want my sycamore trees sprayed early to keep the fungus from affecting them.

I paid $49.00 for 5 treatments to our garden which is 40x50. The first application was done and it was stated that they sprayed 72 gallons of a substance on 6000 square feet. Impossible.

It's way too early to assess the results of our recent fertilization/weed control because the application was done about an hour ago, but Michael ** could not have been more friendly or professional. He answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. We'd be happy to have him back!

Tru-Green has made a wonderful difference with my lawn, trees and shrubbery this year. I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful health and lush green color and general health of my lawn this year. The Tru-Green professionals are so knowledgeable, professional and kind. I can't say enough about the experience I've had with them over the last couple of years. The only improvement I could suggest is when service is being conducted, the professionals should take care to avoid ornamental lawn items such as solar lights not to uproot or damage in the process of their service call. I must state, that this occurred when a substitute provided service, not my regular professional.

I met your Tech, Tommy **, recently and discussed the condition of my lawn and shrubs. I appreciated Tommy's comments and taking the time to talk with me. TruGreen has done an exceptional job reviving my Arbovites. I have approx. 120 of them as a natural fence around my yard and they were being devoured by insects until I called TruGreen. They seem to be fuller and greener after each treatment.

Customized Lawn Plan - Per Doreen **, she requested TruGreen to set up a free aeration and seed for the lawn. The reason for the thinning in the lawn is due to different varieties of grass that are not a hardy type of turf. By doing an aeration and seed, this will help introduce good varieties back. Trugreen always has the most knowledgeable people. Any time I ask a question they always have an answer for me. They are courteous and caring people. If I have any problems they address them as soon as possible. The year discount helps us to maintain a good looking lawn all year round.

Came across a service tech treating a lawn and talked with him a few minutes. Said he would swing by in an hour or so and discuss my lawn. His name was chuck and he was great.... gave me advise on a few things and suggested since my yard is in very good condition to go with a standard package since I was already in the process of aerating the lawn and overseeding. Told me to call and he would be out next week to fertilize and spray for weeds. Wow... what a great guy.

Everyone does a great job, my yard and trees have never looked this good!

Everyone has been very pleasant, and what they do seems to help my yard quite a bit. I requested special attention to some weeds in one part of the yard, and I can see they are already dying a few days later.

Started my 1-year service this year, yard needed it. Fire Ants and Dallas grass was getting out of control. As of last weekend, yard was looking really good (9 months of service). I'm a corner lot so I get a lot of traffic and my neighbors complimented on how my yard looks. That all changed after treatment on 9/23/14 this week. When I came home on 24th 80% of my yard (Bermuda) was burned brown. I went to their support page, explained what had happened, listed the treatment type and quantity per GAL etc. Stated I have pictures showing where they sprayed and where they didn't based on the damage, it's very obvious. Heard nothing, today Friday I called them they were very concerned. Said they would have a technician inspect my yard in 3 business days. Stay tuned, unclear if my yard is completely ruined or if it can be salvaged. We will see if my rating goes to 1 or to 5 depending on the outcome.

I've been very happy with the progress of my lawn. It is far from where I want it but so much better than when we started. The biggest problem I've encountered with TruGreen is the communication from office to technician. The poor technician cannot do what he's not been informed of. We had a rocky start but TruGreen made every effort to keep me coming back. I met Eric, the technician, only once very briefly and he seemed very friendly and ready to go.

The specialist was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. When I mentioned some weeds, he took special care of the problem. With the rain and service the lawn has looked the best it has in years all summer long. The computer notifications are much appreciated and the calls beforehand are great. They allow me to try and see the specialist if I have problems.

My specialist was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Rings the bell and introduces himself and explains what he will be doing that day. Readily answers my question about some black areas in my lawn and explained why they were there and what would happen to them. So far I am happy with the service and am looking forward to reaping the rewards of a rich green lawn.

I have Zachary ** as my specialist. I am thrilled to have someone who is personable, on time and when I am scheduled - he gets here. Unlike last year. I spoke with him early in the year about getting the edges of the yard as well as the difficult 18" between the fence and driveway. The grass has been green all the way up to the bushes this year. I feel confident this year that I don't have to be here and he will get all of it without me looking over his shoulder. What I like the best is the way Zachary gets around the picnic tables and dog training equipment. I used to do the job, I know it can be done and Zachary has no problem getting it all. I had became a client of TrueGreen in 2013 (some time in end of May or July). I cancelled the account and told them not to do anymore work for the next year as I was not satisfied with the work. I paid the full amount for the year at the very beginning. But instead, they applied something in July 2014 and sent me a bill for the application. They kept on harassing me over the phone for payment of the bill. I called TrueGreen and was told that the cancellation was done after the application. It was a mistake on my part that I did not keep a recording of the conversation with the TrueGreen representative for the date when it was cancelled. But I clearly remember it was sometime in May 2014. Now TrueGreen have sent a letter from the collection agency to pay the bill. I think it is very unfair on behalf of TrueGreen who take advantage of their clients.

I moved to my recent purchased home in Houston, TX. I had beautiful thick, healthy and green lawn and wanted to keep it that way. In March a door-to-door salesperson talked me into using TRUGREEN to maintain my beautiful lawn and to keep it free of weeds. After the 2nd treatment my grass turned brown and started to die. The Backyard looks terrible! I called and asked to have someone come out and view the lawn - what I got is more spraying and killing what is left. Every time I call, they said "someone will get in touch with you." Instead I receive next day regular service call. I called and asked that someone to come and take a look at the lawn first. Finally they did come out in May and blamed it on the type of grass I had (St. Augustine)???? That their weed treatment recognized it as weed and Mike suggested replacing it with Bermuda seed.

I have been a Chemlawn Customer for years. You have some good lawn techs. Chris ** is my service Lawn Tech and he does an excellent job. My Lawn is important to me and it is important for Chris to make sure I am happy. He also takes great care to ensure my lawn looks great.

Well very happy with the lawn. Service tech consistency is very important. Our tech, Sam ** knows the lawn and makes adjustments as he remembers and sees the need, not just a regular service.

My lawn looks amazing now compared to 1 1/2 years ago when we moved into this home. My trees look amazing this year compared to last summer when they were being killed by bag worms and the bushes had spider mites causing many leaves to curl. We have been customers of TruGreen for 6 years. We also referred a relative who has been getting service for 2 years. Up until this past year everything had been pretty good. After 2 years of having quite a few weeds still in the yard, we called and an appointment was set up with a supervisor on a Monday. No one showed up or called. We called that night, received an apology and they would give him a message. We asked for the name of the supervisor and was told, they didn't know. We called the next day after never receiving a call from the supervisor. The office said they weren't sure what happened so they rescheduled for Wednesday. Again, no one showed up or called. We called again on Friday and requested the supervisor call and were told we would get a call either that night or Saturday. We still have not received any calls. They certainly don't have a problem calling when they want to sell you more services. Being a customer service manager myself, this is completely unacceptable and very frustrating.

My lawn had been treated by TruGreen Lawn Service for several months. My fruit trees began to die after the second treatment. I knew that the spraying was causing the problems, so I called to cancel my service. I was connected to Candice in Accounts Receivable. When I briefly explained my issues and told her I had decided to cancel my service, she became irate! Her voice became elevated, she kept cutting me off when I spoke, and actually chastised me for not allowing her management to speak with me before cancelling. I tried to explain to her that one of her representatives came to check out the problem, and indicated that the problem was not likely due to their service (big surprise).

Had Lawn aerated and overseeded. Specialists were very friendly and did a great job. My normal lawn specialist Shawn ** recommend this service. After service was completed, Shawn even did a follow-up call to make sure I was happy with the service... which I was. Thanks to all at TruGreen.

We contacted TruGreen early September to inquire about treatment for grubs following a bad year of Japanese Beetle infestation. The phone rep took the order and charged us, but no one called or arrived to provide the service. Three more phone calls over the next week resulted in ongoing promises that someone would be contacting us within the next couple days. It never happened! Only after our final, then angry, phone call we were informed that it was too late to treat. According to the information we had received from the Minnesota Extension Office, we were well within the treating time period. Had we known we would be delayed in obtaining these services, or refused services altogether by TruGreen, we would have had the option of seeking another company's service. Anyone who knows about the severity of Japanese Beetle destruction would understand our upset with TruGreen. As it stands now, TruGreen has charged us for a service we have not received, and customer support reps have proven to be ineffective in doing their job in getting this matter resolved.

TruGreen service is well worth the money. The lawn technicians are professional. My lawn is dense and green with no weeds.

My property has shaded area and slope. Somehow overseeding doesn't work. Seeds do not germinate, probably washed away by rain. I need someone to evaluate and suggest course of action. Maybe it is not the right area to grow grass.

They aerated but put very little seed. They were scheduled to come Friday but came on Monday September 8th said they would come back on Friday. I wasted a whole day off waiting on them. Called TruGreen. They got no answer for Bradan ** the service tech and office he works from. Still waiting for call back.

TruGreen has always been a very good company to deal with. We are always notified of the day the service will be done via telephone message and email. If I have had any questions, I have always received an answer promptly. The lawn specialists have always been courteous and the job is done efficiently and thoroughly. What products being used on the lawn and bushes are sent to the home every spring if one would like to look them up. The time frame in which the yard can be utilized by people and pets has been explained. It would be very difficult to pick out one experience to rate since all the services have been done according to what has been contracted.

A TruGreen truck was driving recklessly down a very busy street, driving down the median at a high rate of speed. Tailgating the car in front of him for about a mile until I turned off. There was no phone number to call to report the driver so hopefully the company will see this post and fix it. PA license plate **.

I have been using this service for three months on newly installed sod (Stillwater Cove). There has been no improvement in the condition of my lawn from crabgrass growth. I have tried to talk to a human being in Huntsville (Madison area) and just get put on a tiring and useless out-of-area call system. The 256 number is redirected to a call center. There is no personal interest, no personal care. Do not believe the in-between care service (guarantee) made during the initial sale-pitch. I was told by customer service reps via phone conversation they‘re a no-refund service company. New Buyer’s Beware!

Aeration was done quite well. A couple of weeks after the pest control was done I found quite a few spiders while cleaning up around the house. Grass is looking good, a few weeds can be found in the lawn.

Trugreen sells you a program then sticks it to you. Called the sales person Andrew 3 times and No Call Back. Called the office and told them what I wanted done and the opposite was done. They take your money then Run. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH TRUGREEN PLEASE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ALSO.

We have been customers with TruGreen Lawn Care for a number of years and signed on for tree and shrub care about a year ago even though we had no problems. Now that two large shrubs and two of our Japanese Maples are looking questionable, I've been unable to get TruGreen to come service our yard and have been treated to listening to the recordings about payment plans and their guaranteed satisfaction every day for at least twenty minutes as I held to once again request service. (Whew) A week of calling, no sign of them.

I Have been using trugreen for over twenty years or more that I can remember. I have an application at least every month. A grub application once a year. For the last two years I have had grubs. Last year I had a spot on my front grass that looked like a burnt spot. I called and complained and nothing was done. It is the end of the year and the dead spot is still there. They said they would seed it. Haven't yet. I complained that this last year or two my grass looks worse than any of my neighbors who do their own lawns. I am a 80 year old widow and rely on Trugreen to keep my lawn looking good. I had yellow spots all over my lawn and complained. They said I had insects and treated the lawn. A month later it still looks half dead. A supervisor came out and said I had no insects in my lawn. A week later animals are digging up my lawn.

TruGreen provides consistent treatment for my yard that I am not able provide myself. This consistent, knowledgeable fertilization, weed & bug treatment, & aeration service has greatly benefited my yard. The cost of the service is also greatly offset because I no longer need to purchase yard chemicals from the Home Improvement stores which was costing me several hundred dollars per year.

This was an extra visit to address some brown issues. After they treated it again - it made a WORLD of difference! Beautiful lawn!!

This company give me a good services with my grass. I bought my house in January, with a very bad conditions garden. A lot of weeds and poor grass. In 6 month the company increase in 60% of healthy grass and 80% the fumigation and kill weeds. For me now it’s a four star company. The picture is how my garden was in 6 month.

Jacob ** is the associate that has been doing our lawn and knows our concerns and always check to see if we are satisfied and always seems ready to offer a solution/recommendation.

Lawn looks good and is consistent with other lawns in the neighborhood, including some which use other lawn services.

Technician is always friendly and a pleasure to see. Grass is green, no areas of concern.

I had aeration done and the guy did a good job and went the extra step to make sure I was happy. Mr. Robert ** was a really nice man and listened to my concerns about the different areas. He worked hard and did an excellent job.

The only green was the money that went from my pocket to theirs. Grass is as bad as last year yet we had a wet summer - a good amount of rain. Phone calls and contacts brought nothing. Don't use them.

Great customer service when calling to question lawn service.

Since I have been using TruGreen for the yard and front lawns/shrubs, things seem to be doing a lot better. We had a very bad winter this part year and therefore, my trees, shrubs and flower beds did not start blooming until very in the year. But overall my lawn looks good even without the rain that we have been desperately needing during the summer months. The weeds have died off pretty much completely so overall I am very happy.

Aeration and seeding resulted in two missed appointments for my mother's house. Numerous phone calls to customer service with many promises they would show up. An email sent to Kevin ** from customer service resulted in no return call. I have cancelled my account as well as my mother's. The worst customer service. They show up yearly trying to sell more services. Rather funny that I was told this year that I needed tree service because of fungus and bugs....I already had this service.....oops, now take care of the so called fungus and bugs you found but your treatments did nothing for.

TU did a great job this summer keeping my grass green.

After countless phone calls, I received a call from the general manager that serviced my area. I was credited the amount I was billed for with an appology for the misunderstanding. Maybe these complaints should be turfed out to the general managers first instead of having your customers have to call corporate. I am very pleased with the service you provide, and the employee that has been servicing my lawn for years.

This was not my 1st season with Trugreen. I've always enjoyed the service and will again. Thank You!

I've been a customer for several years and until now have been reasonably satisfied. Recently I had a routine service call (Aug 16) during which I had the tech check a tree which had been oozing sap from the trunk. He didn't know what it was, but said he would take a picture and check on it and get back to me. He didn't so I called the local office in Spring, Texas and spoke with the branch manager, **. He told me he would get the picture from the tech and find out what was needed and get back to me right away. He didn't. I called back several days later for an update and remind him that he was going to get back to me. He told me he had to check with the arborist to find out how the tree could be treated and when he heard from the arborist, he would get back to me. It's now been nearly a month since this began. I find it very annoying that I have to beg for assistance from a service that I'm paying for.

I am very happy with the improvement to my lawn so far. This is my 1st year using TruGreen and my lawn looks great. Mr. ** is very professional and knowledgeable. Since using his services, my lawn is greener and has less weeds. In fact, most of the weeds have disappeared. He is still working on some very stubborn varieties.
