I like the parts or the spots where the Park Avenue works on the body. I also like the air bubbles feature, so I bought it from ThermoSpas. But I haven’t really been able to use it that much because the pipe popped and all the water came out from underneath the hot tub. When that happened, I opened the outside shelf and I found that whoever did the cutting and connected everything piping together didn't glue the main piping properly. And the people that are to fix it took forever but apparently, all they have to do to fix the tub is unscrew and open the outside shelf then everything is there for them to work on, which is very nice. I finally got a call from them today, after a week and a half of and two calls of telling them that it quit working on me. It also took them three times to get a hold of their techs and it is gonna take until the 2nd for them to come out and fix it.
Other than that, the quality of the hot tub is wonderful. For the few days that I was using it, it was awesome. And it didn’t take that much for me to get the right chemical level. It was easy. You can see the numbers and make sure there are two parts of this and two parts of that. Plus the filtration system is good. Overall, it is a very good hot tub.
Sharmane,
Thank you for the opportunity to provide service on your hot tub. I understand that the valve issue has been resolved to your satisfaction. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any additional questions or concerns.

We’ve been looking into ThermoSpas since we built our house four years ago and we've been contacting them off and on. Their products had accessibility to components and insulation, which were the two main things we were looking for in a spa. When it was a good time to make a move, we made them come out to the house back with us. We told them we were looking for a two-person spa and we ended up with the Atlantis. We have it on one of our three patios which is off the basement and it fits nicely there.
When we bought the spa, the sales rep was extremely helpful but he didn’t talk about anything other than upgrading us from a silver to a gold. I wish I had followed through with him. It was like a used car sale and it became a little bit of a hard sell. So I wish I had taken a little bit more time and looked a little more in depth into the deal because I didn’t know if there was anything above the gold.
Also, I would have preferred more jets and a headrest. When we went to someplace like Pool City, every single one of their spas had a headrest and our Altantis doesn’t have one. That is a little disturbing. You just lean back against the plastic on it and it would have been nice to have a headrest mounted in there. We know they have a man that works at Pool City and he said that we should have come to him first. And every one of the ones he showed us that were comparable in price and style had a nice soft headrest. Some of them even had sound systems, which would have been nice also. So I am very frustrated about that.
But other than that, I am satisfied and the spa is everything that we were hoping for. It is extremely relaxing and you feel great when you come out of there. I have an old student who recently told me that I look healthier, but I’m not doing anything differently and I’m wondering if it has something to do with sitting in the hot tub for 30 minutes, four days a week. It gets the blood flowing. I have also recommended ThermoSpas to a number of people.

My wife and I decided to pick up the model that was part hot tub, part therapy exerciser. While our initial experience with the sales rep was positive, things quickly went downhill from there. Weeks after we were to get the exercise accessory package, we started to call the company to check on the status. The people answering the calls had no ability to check on anything concerning our order and instead replied that 'someone would call you as soon as possible". More weeks and five phone calls later, the package showed up.
Now we come to the really frustrating part. In order to schedule our electrician to hook up the tub, we needed a solid delivery date range. We were told that would be provided a few weeks out from delivery, but that time went by with no word. More weeks and more phone calls, no reply, no answers, just a runaround. We had, by this time, dropped five grand on a new concrete patio to land it on and two grand for the electrical system. Then the kicker. We received a phone call from ThermoSpas about our delivery.
We were told about a mysterious 'fire' at a warehouse that just happened to hold our models dies. The CSR that called wanted to talk to both my wife and I, so scheduled a phone call for when I returned from work the next day. No call. Another set of calls were placed, voicemails left, no reply. By this time, the spa was to have been delivered, installed and in use. Just the thought of this lying cheating company fills me with anger. We have sent a letter canceling our order and requesting a full refund. I have the sneaking suspicion that I will have to retain legal counsel to get us whole and extricate us from this mess. They have yet to respond. You're a fool if you deal with this company.
The Burdicks were contacted on 9/12/18, two weeks in advance of their estimated due date, and were informed of delay due to a real fire in our warehouse. A new delivery date for mid-November was verbally accepted at that time. On Friday, 9/21/18 we received a request for a cancellation and refund which we processed within one business day on 9/24/2018.

I went online and the first one that called back was ThermoSpas so I went with them. The Atlantis model was the smallest one that they had and it looked great. I like all the 2-speed jets on it. The guys that came here and brought the hot tub were great. They showed me everything on the tub and they were a good team. The only thing I don’t care about is setting everything up. It was a pain. I had to call ThermoSpas for the setup. They had to go over it with me over the phone and they had a hard time. They had to call up the people that make it. But we got it straight for at least an hour.
I'd like to know what to do in case the power goes out in the winter. It will take a good day for it to freeze, but if something really comes up, I have to take all the water out and that's going to be a problem. It's hard to get around what the owner’s manual was trying to say. Also, the person I called and talked to about it in setting everything up, said the same thing - that the touch-tone thing that they have in there is hard to understand. That’s the only problem I had with the tub so far. But I sleep better at night because of it.

I purchased a spa through another company but nobody from there would bring it to my backyard. Instead, they wanted to drop the spa in my front yard. I saw that with ThermoSpas, I would get everything I needed. So, I canceled my initial purchase and decided to buy from ThermoSpas instead. At their store, I told the salesperson what I was looking for. I needed as many jets as possible for four to six people ‘cause I have osteoarthritis. He told me I should pick the Concord so that was the model I got. The salesperson helped me pick out stairs and extra bars so that I could get up and into the hot tub. I didn't need a model that was too small so what I got has been great. Furthermore, the top isn't too heavy for me to close as well.
Initially, the salesperson also told me where to put the spa. I didn't want to have a patio covered so I had a gazebo set up. The salesperson told me that I needed to move it because it's in the area that he picked. However, when the people came to drop it off, they told me putting it in a different place was better. The place they chose was where I originally wanted it so it was fine and I didn't have to move the gazebo. The installer also told me how to work the tub and gave me tips on what to do. They set the tub up and the electrician came and looked into the tub. Thereafter, I filled it up and it's been running ever since.
However, since getting the tub, I've bought a few things that I haven't been able to use. I got a thing to leave in the water which tells me how much of the chemicals to put in for 300 bucks. Also, one time, I called ThermoSpas and asked if there was any way to turn the temperature in the tub down and they said no. Currently, it’s at least 80 degrees and I have put it in a sleep mode and I have to go take the lid off of it for half an hour before I get in. If not, it will cook me because here in Texas, it’s too hot. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend ThermoSpas.

I purchased a tub in July 2018 and was well pleased with the sales rep. The tub we bought was described as one that had a flaw by one of the jets near the bottom. That wasn’t the tub that was delivered and now no one is returning our phone calls. We can’t get anyone to call us back that has any authority to make this right. I feel like this company really could care less about me since they got my $13k. I wish I could return this tub at this point.

ThermoSpas looked like a good, reputable brand and had some good features for helping maintain heat and recycling in the spa. The delivery people noticed a couple of scratches on Park Avenue hot tub so they called the company to send some replacement parts. They were quick at sending a couple replacement parts out to me. However, I’m having problems getting a claim scheduled so I had to call them to find out what was going on because I haven’t heard from them beyond this point that they told me that the spa was supposed to be in my local area. Nonetheless, I liked that the tub holds five people, has a lounge chair and a lot of jets to get more massaging actions. It’s easy to maintain and it’s great when you get in it.

We've had a Slim Spa before but the warranty was just a year and that was when things started going bad. I didn’t want to deal with that. ThermoSpas has the longest warranty so I went with them, although it was very expensive. Chris, the salesperson, was very helpful throughout the process. I would contact him and he would either answer the question or forward it. He was very good.
We like having a double lounge. That was a very specific interest because our other indoor hot tub had a lounge and my husband always got it. With our ThermoSpas, it was nice to have something for both of us and it was the right size. We like the features of this tub but there are some things I wish I had done. I had seen advertised the water that flows across the lounge and I didn’t realize they all don’t have that. I would have appreciated adding those.
The step is lower than I want it to be which I would talk to Chris about. I'm not pleased with that and it would be better if those steps came up a littler higher. Also, one of the little covers that go over the bubblers has come off and won't stay on. It doesn’t seem to be something that twists on or off. I'm a little disappointed that there are some little things that has already come off. I’m hoping that’s just an anomaly and I have the confidence that if this will happen in five years, ThermoSpas would cover it. We got it for medical reasons for my husband and my grandson enjoys being in it. It has been very enjoyable and a very good thing.
Hello Karen,

I was trying to get the biggest hot tub I could to go into the space that I have. I purchased the ThermoSpas Park Avenue. It has jets and the bubblers. It has really helped me and my wife out a bunch because she was in a bad car wreck and I’ve had 11 shoulder surgeries. However, when I hooked up the electrical, it didn't leave much space in there for me to bend the wire around and it took me a really long time to get the electrical. The wire was a 6 gauge wire and it was too tight right there.
The book that the tub comes with doesn’t explain everything, but I was sent a deal over my email. However, I dropped my phone and lost all that. I wished I had a book that will tell me what everything does. In addition, the lounger part of it didn't light up when I first got the tub. The little pad where I push it and turn the pump on and turn the wave on wouldn’t light up. I had to get a flashlight and put over there to find it. I had to feel around the control at night because I couldn’t see it.
Other than those, everything else is great on the tub and I’m very happy with it. I liked ThermoSpas' installation element and the way the tubs are made. I can set mine at 94˚ and I can raise the lids and it’s about 4˚ high because of all the installation from the heat from the motors. Most of the other tubs are made out of 2”x3” while some of them are just 3 quarter, but these are 2”x4” and 2”x 6”. The salesman, West, came over twice after he sold the spa just making sure I was happy and explaining a few more things to me. He was in the neighborhood and he dropped by and spent an hour here. They are like family now. West was good and the people that brought the tub out knew everything on it and explained everything in detail.
I have been sleeping better since using the ThermoSpas tub. I was on a lot of narcotics, but the pain has totally gone away and I don’t take any pills anymore. The tub has helped me out tremendously. One of my buddies who hurt his lower back is supposed to call West sometime this week to get him to come out there. My buddy had been putting up with the pain because he doesn’t take muscle relaxers or pain pills. He couldn’t even lift his leg up. I had to help him out of the car, help him to my backyard, and help him in the spa. Within 30 minutes, he could lift his leg up by himself and he had no problem with his back since. He told his wife that they were gonna get one of those tubs.
ThermoSpas should put a light in the bath. All the bars light up good and everything is lit up, but when it’s up that tall, you can’t see the pad. However, I’m very satisfied with my Park Avenue. They are pricey, but the hot tub I was looking at was up there. It was called Bonnie & Clyde’s Pool and it was almost $11,000, but it didn’t have the control near the jets or near the pumps. They had the spray it on your neck as ThermoSpas does, but for $2,000 more, I’m very satisfied with what I got. When I first got the hot tub, I got it filled with water and turned it on. As soon as I turned it on, it blew out two of my jets. I looked at them and a piece broke on it. I called the rep and told her, and she said that she would send me both of the parts and a set of filters for my inconvenience as well. That saved me money there, too. I’d highly recommend ThermoSpas all over any spa.

I did a little research on a few brands and we went with ThermoSpas due to their warranties and ratings. Also, the salesman was a nice guy and I was impressed with his knowledge and he also had a ThermoSpas tub. We purchased a Concord for its vibration and it was with the therapeutic jets. It's nice and its features and price appealed to us. I would like to have a swim spa too, but the quality of the tub is awesome. There is one cushion where the part that sticks in the little hole, on the bottom part, that is a little off and it pushes the other ones out. It would be cheaper for the company to change the design, although it stays in fine if I just do the top. But other than that, I love the ThermoSpas hot tub. It helped my lower back and also my neck. I found some positions where I could get that lower lumbar one. I can scoot all the way down and have it pound on my neck and it feels wonderful.

I answered something online and I got a call almost immediately from ThermoSpas, and the person came the next day. The Aquacisor model has the depth and I could exercise in it so that's what I purchased. The guy that sold it to me was great and I love the team that came to lift the hot tub by crane, over the house and into my backyard. The crane operator was very professional. I was really impressed with the equipment and the team that placed it was really great. It was fun to watch them do that. However, I had a problem with the spa when I first got it because the pump wiring was backward so the whole thing wouldn’t turn on. I didn’t like the fact that the people at ThermoSpas blamed it on the electrician and my electrician told me that it had to be something in the spa.
I dealt with someone in ThermoSpas and they sent a person out. He was fantastic. He showed me how to put the chemicals in and how to use the spa. But after he left, when I opened the top, it blew backwards and the whole top thing broke off. I got that ergonomic arm for it. So, they placed an order to replace it and it came yesterday. I haven’t been to the house yet because it's at the shore and I don’t live there full-time. But overall, 99% of my interactions with ThermoSpas' reps have been very positive. It was just unfortunate that that happened, that the pump wiring was wrong. It had water in it and it sat there for a week until someone could fix it.

I got a little two-seater spa from ThermoSpas since it's just me and I wanted just a small one. It cost around $5,000 and it has lights that change colors and come off and on with the vibrators. The salesperson was really nice and very accommodating. So far, it's a bit overwhelming for me and I'm having a hard time using it. I’m in my 80’s and their reps came out one time and explained how to use the spa and I tried to make notes. There are still some things that I’m not sure about but they’re so busy and they work out of town that they can’t get to me as soon as I would like them to. But other than that, they were all very nice and I love the spa. It is gorgeous.
So far, I’m doing fine. I just have a little trouble reading the little strip to know what to add and when to add. I hate to read instructions and for somebody my age, I still have a hard time reading even with glasses and I didn’t listen close enough. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. So, I’ll just call and they’ll come back and give me another visit.

I had a ThermoSpas rep come by the house to see what they offered. The product seemed good and all but the only showroom is in California. I live in Texas. I have neck & back issues, and I've been looking for a spa that is comfortable to sit in. There's no way I'm buying a spa that I can't sit in to see how it feels on my back & neck.

ThermoSpas is one of your better spas that are out there and we try to buy good stuff. I like the amount of jets, the color, the shell, and that we get the five seating. Our salesman, Scott, was a very nice guy. He told us to give him a call when when we get the spa installed. He said he would be over to walk us through things. We got it installed on the first day of August and I called him about a week later. He said he got to stop in Ohio, then he gotta go to Uniontown in Pennsylvania and that he would swing by and check us out. But he never came and he never called and that kinda upset us there. But outside everything, their reps have been sweet. ThermoSpas has been wonderful and has been very supportive a couple of times I’ve called and had questions. Phil, the installer, has a very nice crew. They forgot to put a light strip on one of the grab bars and Phil installed that and walked us through things again.
We tried to set the temperature the other day because it was too hot. I was able to get it down from 101 to 95 but all of a sudden, it went back to 99. It’s not in the sun all the time but the sun can hit it in certain parts at certain times of the day. So I had a cover on it. I figured that was probably what it was. It was heating the water up. The guy I was talking to, a technician, said that was what it was and he said to take it down to 80 and start from there. He said I might lose a degree a week because it was so insulated.
Also, they could change their instruction booklet. The booklet was a little rough to understand. I took the test strips and I tested once every other day or so. Phil said to not worry about the two bottom strips, the yellow strips and the whitish strips. But I couldn’t get the chlorine to where it should be according to the bottle and where they said it should be. I didn’t want to over-chlorinate it. A very nice lady sent me an email with the chemical instructions on it and what I should do instead of reading the book. She sent me a simplified instruction sheet on that and I printed that out on my printer and got it handy for my wife. But she was worried about the test strips and I told her what Phil told me about the bottom strips. We got everything pretty well organized.
It's a very nice-looking spa and it's very easy to get in it. It really amazes us how powerful they are. My wife floats when we get everything on and we can’t sit on our seat if we put the bottom blower jets and stuff. My wife has arthritis on her back and some of her hands. We bought the spa because it helps a little bit. It doesn’t cure the problem of arthritis, but it relieves the pain.

When the ThermoSpas salesman came and did the presentation, we liked the features of the Concord hot tub. It has two pumps, 51 jets, and it’s got plenty of power. It has the heat in it and the light, and we just love it. The salesman seemed like a super nice guy, and I liked him from the get-go. Also, there was no pressure at all, and he was well-versed in what he was selling. Me and my wife are 73 years old and we have been in the hot tub every evening since we got it. I have circulation and back problems, and blood pressure. Last night we got in it for about 35 minutes and I got out, and I was just curious about my blood pressure. I took my blood pressure and it was 124/60. My wife really likes this one particular seat that has these jets that go to your hips.

We bought a $400 spa at Walmart once and we wanted to figure out what others were like. With just me and the wife, ThermoSpas' pricing was what we could afford and it had the type of accessories we wanted. ThermoSpas' sales guy came over. He was really good and didn't try to pressure us. We went to what I needed for my back, for medical conditions, and for recreation. Their delivery team was really good and the installation didn't take long. They took longer to unload the hot tub off the truck and unpack it than they took to install it. It was almost plug and play.
The Atlantis hot tub had two seating areas, the blower, the titanium heater, and the O3. It also has the automatic lid lifting, but it blocks our view so we took it off. Also, when we were trying to prime the spa, it wasn't priming. The technician had me uncouple the hose from the coupling where the motor was at. It was quite hard because it was tight so he went a long way instead of just having us lift the handle when we turn on the pump whenever we go in. He had us lift the handle to where the pump was gonna push the water out. If you open and close that handle, it creates the priming and the suction, which will prime that pump quicker instead of uncoupling and waiting for water to drain and listening for air. All you have to do is lift the handle up and down, give it a couple of seconds and you'll notice that it'll start to prime and start to catch. It's a much easier way for the average skilled person to do.
I use the hot tub about twice to four times a day. I'm doing and feeling much better, especially my lower back. My wife gets a little stressed out at work and she can jump in the spa when she comes home. It definitely helps out with trying to relax. It has had a positive impact on our quality of life. Right now, I'm just trying to buy filters for it. I know I can get them from MIDAS. I think I should have enough some sort of discount with ThermoSpas though. I'm still looking into it and comparing prices. I brag about the hot tub all the time and I have people saying they wanna come over. We have a nice little set up under my carport area, like a man-cave/spa. It really looks nice at night with the lighting. It's a beautiful spa. We're really happy and satisfied with our purchase.

I had my ThermoSpas tub delivered on July 2, 2018. Though I'm happy to have my spa and enjoy the features it hasn't been a good experience. At the time of delivery, two panels and a connecting piece were scratched & damaged as well as they had sent the wrong cover requested for the tub (I requested front to back opening and they sent left to right). I called immediately to report issues and was informed they needed to wait for delivery personnel to provide the report to ThermoSpas offices which could take up to 48 hours. Two days later I called ThermoSpas customer service to make sure an order had been placed for these issues. I was informed the cover would take 2-4 weeks to arrive and the other pieces 2-3 weeks. It was recommended I call back when all items were delivered so that a representative could come and install all pieces.
In the meantime I filled up tub and electrician connected the unit only to find out that the panel was not working. The technician assigned to my area was on vacation and apparently there was no one else that could repair the hot tub until the technician arrived. It took 10 days for the person to fix the problem and for me to finally used the tub. I recently called them back (4 weeks after delivery) one month of waiting and not all pieces had been delivered. Though the representative was very pleasant, it was extremely disappointing and aggravating to find out that the cover was never requested as well as one of the side panels that was damaged. I was notified they would reorder everything again and I would have to wait another 2-4 weeks to receive items. I asked if items could be rushed as it was not my fault someone forgot to request items and was notified they couldn't. This is unacceptable!
Five weeks into having my spa and I haven't received completely what I paid for. I chose this company because of the quality of their product & good customer service and so far I'm NOT impressed. This has been my experience as a new customer. I'm concern about how things will be 5-10 years into this wonderful warranty I bought into.

Everyone should know that ThermoSpas outsources all of their service to contractors. We are in a major Metropolitan area, and there is only one service person in our geography (The company consistently acknowledges this). The one person in our geography is a terrible, inconsistent, unreliable service provider, and ThermoSpas has/offers no alternatives but this single individual. Because the sales model bypasses the Retailer, good luck trying to get any credible, competent, spa technician to even look at these spas. Good product, horrible service model after you've spent your money.

I needed a little two-seater tub so I purchased the Gemini from ThermoSpas. It’s got the bubble jets on there. I went with ThermoSpas because of their quality and the price. I dealt with the delivery people and then I had to call the customer service to figure out exactly how to put the chemicals in because I’ve never had a spa before. And it was a good experience. I’ve only had the tub a couple of months but I’m certainly enjoying it. It’s easy to take care of too. To maintain it, I put that stick in there and it’ll tell me whether or not it’s too acidic and if I gotta put more alkaline in it, or if I need to put more chlorine in it. Using the tub has definitely relaxed my muscles and I’ve got major arthritis, so it certainly has helped there as well.

We have had hot tubs for over 15 years and recently, we purchased the Concord from ThermoSpas. I was impressed with the quality, the price quotes, and the sales guy who was working with us. They gave us a great deal. My wife's happy with the tub and I really like the neck massager. Our old tub had a blower on it and it used to blow cool air. It was hard on the heaters and we had to have the heater replaced twice. We figured out that that was not really a good feature so we didn't buy one for our ThermoSpas. You couldn't do that with most hot tubs. Also, instead of having the blower, they added an extra pump so we have three pumps.
Other than that, the ThermoSpas team were great and very professional. Any question I had, they answered it almost immediately. And even after they had made the sale, they were still interested and advised when it was gonna be delivered and who was gonna deliver it. It was a wonderful experience. So far, I’m using the tub almost everyday. I’m 78 years old, I have arthritis, and I can tell when I don’t go in the hot tub. I’d recommend ThermoSpas to anyone.

I liked the size of the Concord. It’s supposed to fit five. I was also interested in the lights and there were a lot of jets. So, I bought one from ThermoSpas and their team was pretty good. The delivery was a little tough for me though as it took us a while for the delivery crew to be able to deliver the tub. It was ready in January but we got it in May because I am on a hill and the people that were delivering it were only in the area on certain times. So, it was due to the timing and weather.
Other than that, the tub is good quality and I like it. I use it a couple of times a week and it helps me relax. It’s also kinda fun to have a drink while on it and it gives a nice ambiance. But I was a little disappointed because when I saw their commercial, it advertised almost like you could add on a bar feature or a shelf on the outside that would match the outside, and apparently, they no longer do that. Also, it seems like I'm always having to treat the water every few days and there’s always something out of whack. I thought that the tub has some features that are supposed to make maintenance easier and I was under the impression that with this ozonator they had, I wouldn’t have to do that as much.

My ThermoSpas tub pretty much has everything that I can get on a hot tub. I needed some specifications on it in designing the concrete pads for it before it was delivered, and their people were really helpful. The cost goes hand in hand with the quality, and one pays more money for the warranty. The warranty was the reason we went with them. The delivery and the installation went fine as well. I would recommend them.

Working with the customer service rep from ThermoSpas was excellent. We got the Concorde Platinum tub from them. Their installation team was really good and they knew what they were doing. They set the tub in with no problems at all. We've been looking forward to cooler weather to use it more.

ThermoSpas had the half-hour thing on TV and that swung me their way. I was able to see their process and all the different pumps they used, and I liked their process. They also answered a lot of questions when they went through it step-by-step. I also had a neighbor that had bought one up north and he was very happy with it. So I decided to go with that one. The salesperson came over to the house for the visit and spent a good hour and a half with me and my wife. He explained everything. He checked out the spot where we were gonna put the tub and said everything was in good shape. That was one thing I was nervous about.
But when I actually got the tub, it's blocked on two sides because of my deck. They said they shouldn't do that because if it needs to be serviced, there needs to be access to it. But once they delivered it, I didn't have any choice but to put it where I originally would have done. Somewhere down the road, something's gonna need maintenance and it should cause a problem though. But I guess I gotta live with that. I was surprised that salesperson okayed it without suggesting that I have an 8 x 8-foot of cement slab there. He saw that I have cement and he said it was great. That aside, the people at ThermoSpas have been very pleasant. I've called on the phone and ordered chemicals, and they've taken care of me.
The quality looks good but there are a couple of things that we've had issues with. The headrest fastens with two screws, one on each side, and then you just pop over it a little black plastic cap. It's probably for aesthetics. But the caps have been popping off when you have all the jets on. And we haven't been able to find them. I figured they'd be in the filter but when I changed my filters out for the first time, they weren't in there. They ought to have gone somewhere though, so I was worried about it getting sucked into a pump and causing issues.
I called ThermoSpas and they said that as long as I had the power off when I changed the filters, there was no way the caps could've gotten to someplace where they can cause more damage. I'm wondering where they went to though, and the rep said that maybe they got stuck on somebody's clothes when they came out and fell off of it but I don't think so. I ended up with four of them missing and I said they had better give me an extra of it. They mailed me five of them and they didn't charge me for them. But it's a very cheap part.
But when we had a lot of people in the tub, it shut down all of a sudden. I tried to reset my box but it wouldn't reset. So I got everybody out of the tub. That was real disappointing. The first time, I was excited to do it and the next time, it went all right. Everybody had a few drinks on and I was looking forward to it. I said we had to figure out what was wrong with the tub. But it was 1:00 in the morning so I called the ThermoSpas helpline the next day. They couldn't diagnose it over the phone but they told me what it could be based on what they've seen over a history of time. They started to give me 5% of the time, it's this. 10% of the time, it's that. I was thinking the plastic caps may have gotten ingested and were getting chewed up in there somehow, spinning around. But the guy over the phone told me that probably wasn't it.
They said that the first thing I would wanna do was to get my electrician out there and make sure that he didn't leave a wire loose or removed something. My electrician has worked in the same area as the guy that installed it. When he came out, he warned me that in order to get in the panels, you gotta take the cover off and those parts are spring-loaded. That cover slides so it's easy to open. It's spring-loaded and there's pressure in there. He said that if you are not careful and you don't know what you're doing, that spring-loaded part will kick you in the head. I would watch out for that now but the manual doesn't warn me about that.
He checked the part out and all the box. He showed me that he could cycle it. He disconnected it from the tub and showed me there was some power to it but it would slip. It would shut-off and reset. So then he hooked it back up to the tub and tried to reset but it would not. He said that it was working fine electrically and it was doing what it was supposed to do. It was not resetting for a reason. It was keeping us from getting electrocuted. He tried to explain how it worked technically and how it wouldn't take much for it to kick off.
ThermoSpas set up an appointment for a guy to come out and then I tried the tub again. It still didn't work. I tried it again the next night because the last thing I wanted was for the guy to show up and it's working. Sure enough, it worked that night. Based on what the guy told me over the phone, when we had a lot of people in the tub, somehow some water got in the inside of the tub. He said that it didn't take much and if dried it out, it would be fine. I'm glad there was nothing wrong like one of the pumps leaking.
The question is, "What made the water get in the tub?" But the guy who was gonna show up on the service call was more than likely not gonna be able to tell that. So I decided we would just use the tub again. I think this was what happened though. My wife was the last one in the tub and she flopped down right over where the buttons are. There's one big valve there and we had the wave on. In one pole there, water really gushes out if you don't have it turned down. I think she blocked that water from coming out and somehow it must have pushed it back. I was thinking maybe it was a faulty thing so we're being careful not to sit in from of that one jet again. And so far, the tub has been working okay.

We didn’t use the spa for about a month but kept it on and covered. We went out to use it in late Jan. ’18 and found the water to be cold and not circulating. After making sure the power was on we called ThermoSpas and they set me up to have a technician call to diagnose the problem. The technician said the pump motor needed replacing. The technician installed the $262.23 pump. The pump did not fix the problem. The technician did more trouble shooting and said the problem was the control unit. A new control unit was ordered, cost $358.13. The control unit was installed the water still didn’t circulate. The technician then thought it was a bad fuse and went to a hardware store for a replacement. The fuse replacement didn’t work.
After more troubleshooting the technician said a valve wasn’t working, went to the hardware store again and returned with some pieces of pipe that were installed without a valve, the pump started to work and the spa started to work. The technician charged $864.00 for the 3 service calls and the parts cost $620.36. The parts that fixed the problem cost $40.00. Total cost to me $1,484.36. The technician left without install paneling that he removed while working on the tub. The parts to complete the job were left on the floor along with some tools.
I believe I’ve been grossly overcharged for a pump motor ($262.23) and control panel ($358.13) neither of which corrected the problem and about $400.00 in service charges. I have corresponded with ThermoSpas on this and received a token offer, $224.00 to cover some of the technician’s charges. I responded, on May 1, ’18, to that offer saying I would accept that and said the charge for parts that didn’t fix the problem should also be covered and the parts of the enclosure not reinstalled had to be done. No response so on 9 June I again requested a response. Still no response. A response request was sent again on 21 June and no response. I believe I’m due a response.
Harry, Thank you for the chance to investigate the service history with your hot tub. I'm glad that we were able to resolve the issues to help you have a more enjoyable experience! Please feel free to contact us directly at 1-800-833-7727 if you ever need assistance. Elle, ThermoSpas

We wanted to redo our backyard and I wanna enjoy what we’ve got. I inquired on the internet and ThermoSpas was the first to respond. Then one at a time, I looked them up before I acknowledged an appointment. I looked at their reputation, what the reviews were, and how long they've been in business. ThermoSpas weren't all pushy and answered our questions. Plus, we liked their Concord model. We knew we wanted something that was bigger than something that could fit two or three people. And the Concorde seats five comfortably. We also thought it was beautiful and just the right size for us.
All in all, we had a wonderful experience at ThermoSpas. The quality of the hot tub is great and we love the jets. I particularly love them at my feet and there are a couple of setting options for that. We had a couple parts on the front panels that were defective and they switched those out quickly. Then, I struggled a little bit with getting the chemical routine down, but I’m there so that’s good and I’m able to maintain it, which is helpful. Now, it’s time for us to drain and clean the tub. I’m not really sure when we have to fully drain hot tubs, but it says to so we'll do it.
We use the Concorde pretty regularly. But I had surgery last week in my shoulder and I'm about 10 days out, so I can’t submerge in the water yet. However, that’s exactly what I want to do in the hot tub, to ease the pain. So, I’ll be there shortly once the stitches are out. My husband uses it three times a week and our granddaughter uses it six times a week. ThermoSpas certainly hasn’t let us down. We have friends that we can compare it to and I would recommend them.

I've had my ThermoSpas tub about two months and it sprung a leak. They warned that sometimes in transit, things get loosened. I called them and they scheduled a thing to come. It's under warranty so they fixed it and they're on their way. I did quite a bit of investigative reporting and I chose ThermoSpas because they custom make each spa as you order it. So, you can reduce the price of it by getting exactly what you want, not paying for bells and whistles that you don't use. Also, it's not been sitting on the floor for a long time. They have a filtering system that I really appreciated because you use fewer chemicals. I have grandkids, so I like the thought of them being in a spa that has fewer chemicals.
The reps were really good as well. When they sit down to talk to you about putting your spa together, they're very knowledgeable and they show you all the pictures and colors. They ask you why are you looking for a spa. For me, it was twofold. I wanted enjoyment because my grandkids will have fun in there, but I also have arthritic knees, and it was really helpful to me. They said if I was getting it for soaking, then I could save quite a bit of money if I didn't do these kinds of jets.
They also listen to you and help you design your spa. If you allow them to take pictures of where it is and the setup, they're careful. No one will be able to figure out where it is. My salesman was also extremely nice. If you will write a letter explaining your experience to the company, they'll take some money off. So, we called them and they gave me enough to meet my budget. We got real close to the price that I was willing to go to, but it was still just a little bit over. But, it was still a pretty awesome experience. I was also having trouble getting the water. But they have a helpline and I called the helpline. I talked to a person and it was fixed. They are there for you. They want to make sure that you know how it works rather than just sell it to you and then drop you after that. I've been really happy with them.

The sales rep of ThermoSpas was good. He explained everything to us and went over it. However, I was not impressed where he was supposed to come out and go over the functions of the spa, but it poured rain that day, so we did not meet up. And he never followed through to come out and go over the rest. So, that was disappointing. I just had no idea. I have never owned a hot tub before, so it would have been nice to know how to figure out the chemicals. But the delivery guys were great. There were four of them that came. They had it on a trailer. And it was pouring rain the day that they came. It was a miserable day and all of us were soaking wet. But they put the good trays on and they were troopers. They did a wonderful job.
So far, I'm really impressed with the tub. Doing my research, I did like a lot of the things about it - the 2x6 construction, the efficiency and the quality seems phenomenal. It has impacted my life in big ways. I'm an electrician, so I do work pretty hard with my body. I'm also a former athlete, so I have bursitis in my hips. I was the big one pushing to get the ThermoSpas and it definitely loosens me up. I just slide out there at night once the kids are taken care of and have 15 minutes of peace and quiet. I absolutely love it. My wife enjoys it as well.
The only negative is, I am having trouble keeping the water as clear as I would like, because of not knowing the correct way to treat it because the salesman never came out. I just don't know what the portions are sometimes. They give you a teaspoon, a little dabber there to apply the chemicals with and on the back of each one of the bottles, it doesn't say two teaspoons or tablespoons. It says something different. So, I often wonder whether I am putting too much of something in or too little and then overcorrecting and under-correcting or whatnot. It also seemed to have gone through a lot of the shock or the activator. I do seem to use quite a bit of that. But other than that, I'm so glad we bought it.

We had spas in the past and we were missing having one. My husband and I are golfers and he has had surgery on his shoulder and he said he was missing the tub. I went online and looked around and ThermoSpas appeared to have a good model which we got. However, their people screwed up on shipping. They forgot to ship the cover lifter and they shipped us a handle instead. They also put in the wrong label on the control panel and had to redo that.
Still, their installation guys were very good. They had to come out a couple of times and they took care of the job. Our ThermoSpas salesperson was a little bit over the top but he seemed nice enough. But I don't feel like he was quite as straight with us. He told us we had to grind the surface on our patio where the spa was going to be. There were some spots along the edges in the corner where she had ground off where the white was showing. That looked really bad and we had to have that part re-stained. We paid money initially to do it, paid again to get it ground off and now we had to pay again to touch it up.
However, the installation guys said we didn't have to do that as the tub doesn't sit on the concrete. So, I filled out their survey online, expressed my discontent with that and their customer service guy called me and I told him what the problem was. We felt all the payments we made was for nothing because eventually, ThermoSpas' installation people said that wasn't necessary. Their guy asked how much it was going to be to redo that part of our patio. Their salesperson was going to cut off the deal for 150 bucks and so their customer service guy said that they would cover it and mail me a check in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen the check yet and I hope it's still in the works. Nevertheless, I like the spa and I'm happy with it. It seems to do its job helping my lower back because it gets pretty tight when I play golf. Despite the issue, we're pleased with ThermoSpas and would recommend them.

I like ThermoSpas 25-year warranty and the non-Styrofoam interior. The people that I worked with were really nice and the installers were pretty cool and down-to-earth. And I'm happy with the hot tub. In the beginning, it was really confusing because I've never had anything like that before. And I didn't know what the heck I was doing and it took me a while. For someone who is not experienced in having owned a pool or spa and then having it, I was getting frustrated a lot. It would be beneficial if ThermoSpas have had someone come out and actually walk the customer through physically and actually interact with them one on one to make sure that they have the knowledge they need for the product because I did not. And if I did, I wouldn't have gotten so frustrated and irritated.
But the lady that I talked to at customer service was really nice. She did it step-by-step and I was really writing every word she said down in a piece of paper. But then my husband got in touch with this pool place just by us and then taking our water and getting it tested and see what we needed to add. So, he went and got the actual chemicals instead of strips because the strips just weren't as accurate. And once we got the chemicals set, it worked way better. I have a bad back and the hot tub helped with it. My husband works outside a lit so it helps with his muscles too.

I saw the video of ThermoSpas and I liked it. The warranty stood out as well. The people I worked with at ThermoSpas were very professional. The features of the tub are very good as well. They also have more features than others. I use it almost daily 'cause I had back and cervical surgery, and it helps me a lot. However, I had to call their reps because I had set the heat for 95, and it kept going to 106. And I live in Florida, Miami, and it's very hot. So, the rep advised me to take it off standard mode and put it in economy, so it wouldn't heat as much, only using the programmed filtrations. It's helped and it's gone down. The only thing that I would suggest is that when they have customers that already have their spa, they should get some discount on the products like the chemicals because they're very expensive. But other than that, I'm enjoying it very much.

I cannot get the salesperson (Paul) or his manager (Steven) to call me back much less refund my monies. I called the corporate office and was told they cannot do anything that I have to speak with sales person. "So what do you do when no one will return your call," I say. BUYER BEWARE. I got some replacement panels of the spa the other day. It had a little bit of shipping damage. There’s some damage around the edge of the wood around the top edge of the spa that the installers said somebody would come out and patch that up and refinish it. They’re gonna replace this panel when they come. So I’m waiting on that but I love the ThermoSpas. It’s really nice.
I did some other looking around and went with ThermoSpas because of the quality, the fact that it was not full of foam and has more accessible to the piping. It also had few more features and more jets for the price of it all. I like the cost. It was a good buy compared to other options. I use the tub a lot before bedtime but I like using it most right after I get up. I’m 78 years old but I’m in good shape. But I still get up a little stiff and I can drop in the hot tub and get out of it and I feel fine. So it does seem to be therapeutic in that regard.
The only thing I need help with from somebody is testing the PH. I got this test strips but I don’t know how to read them. I was thinking maybe when the guy comes out he could give me a little lesson on how to do that. And I could recommend ThermoSpas. So, ThermoSpas designed a custom tub to my specifications, so it has the quality that I want to have. All the jets are individually operable. The hot tub is very customizable and does not have to conform to one person, even if there are multiple people in it. Everything was good other than when the guys came to drop it off. They left the trash, which I didn’t have to remove but they were not supposed to do that. And since I’m a nice guy, I didn’t invoice them for my labor. My experience with ThermoSpas has been good up until today. The tub looked like what I was looking for and I’m very satisfied with it. I didn’t want a large number of people. It’s just me and a neighbor too that might want to use it. And I was looking for something in the therapy line, which this seems to have. And for the few times that I’d been able to use it, it has been very successful in helping with certain medical issues I have. I’m sure it would be good for other people who have other problems like strains or sprains.
However, for some reason I can’t get the pump number two to start working. It shows up as a thing spinning on the thing, but there’s nothing. No pressure, nothing coming out of the ports in the back. I know the people that came out to install it had mentioned that they have some kind of a maintenance agreement with it. It may turn out that I might need one of those at some point because I’ve been able to, little by little, get the chemical things right in it. But I’m just not sure why this pump thing has gone off. I left a message with Carlton and I’m waiting for his callback. I tried the 800 number that they gave and they just kept putting me on hold.

I have owned a ThermoSpas since 2011. I have had to replace the cover twice already, yes that is three covers in 7 years. I previously owned a Sundance for 10 years (sold it when I moved) and had NEVER replaced the cover. ThermoSpas covers are defective and they won't fix the problem and they don't warranty them according to the store I purchase them from. Not sure why I switched from Sundance!!!
Maria,
Thank you for allowing us to better understand your warranty concerns. As discussed, your cover from 2014 was replaced no charge under your initial purchase warranty and has lasted beyond the average life of covers. I understand you have declined our offer for a discount on a new cover, however, if you change your mind in the next six months please feel free to contact me directly.

We looked at all the different spas that were on the market and ThermoSpas was one of the better ones. Whenever their salesman came out to do the site survey, he was excellent. He took his time and explained all the features and different options that were available, so that whenever the spa showed up it was a simple set and go. We got the platinum package that has 70 something jets, six pumps, and ozone generators. It’s loaded and I’d consider it a Cadillac of spas. So far, we’re loving it and overall, the quality is good. It’s also beneficial to us from a medicinal therapeutic point-of-view.

The delivery guy was also really helpful with getting the water right. The hot tub has jets and we have one issue right now with one of the jets not working where its cover for the blower keeps popping off. Other than that, the ThermoSpas tub is better quality than my previous hot tub. It's priced a little high, but I would buy it again.

We initially contacted ThermoSpas about buying a swim spa, but we ended up buying a regular hot tub from them instead. We already had a hot tub and we were always gonna have a hot tub and a swim spa. We liked the sound of their company, their presentation and we had confidence in their hot tubs. We heard that swim spas are propeller-based like Endless Pools. It's supposed to be superior to swimming in a hot tub jet. But without having a lot of experience with swim spas before buying it, it was too big of a purchase for us and we backed out. Nevertheless, the hot tub we got is of good quality and it's a purchase for the long-term.
In addition, I checked out the Consumer Affairs website when I was checking out ThermoSpas and there were a few complaints there for them. I could see that ThermoSpas responded, but I never saw a response to that response. Yet it might be one of those things that the consumer doesn't even know that ThermoSpas has responded because they don't know how the structure of it is.

They were professional, friendly and thorough. However, they took $301 and some cents out of my bank account and I never got a payment book from Wells Fargo. They took it out the same day as I had sent in a full payment for the spa. I paid off the spa and I had sent it by check and they took it out. I got the bill from Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo shows what I paid, but with ThermoSpas they took the money out. They didn’t call me. They didn’t tell me they were gonna do it. They just debited.

I was searching around for a spa and we settled on the one from ThermoSpas. Its therapeutic portion drew me to it. Other than just a hot tub, it was more for therapy and medical effects. The overall package stood out for me because, when I talked with their representative, I was able to see the benefits of their spa and understand the difference between hot tubs or spas and therapy pools. I've only used other brands of hot tubs before on cruise ships and vacations.
The reps were very informative, enlightening, and professional. The delivery guys did exactly what I thought they would do, so the delivery met my expectations. The installation of the tub was very well-done. The installers were very communicative and explained when things would happen. Phone calls came ahead and coordination was double-checked, so I was able to leave work, go there, and meet them.
I've had the spa installed for six weeks now and I am pleased with the investment. The cost was good, although that was a concern because it was more than what we had thought, but then again we went in a little ill-informed. But when I looked at the value associated with the cost, the cost was reasonable. Right now, we’re still in love with the new toy. We just want to make sure that we continue to appreciate it and not have it turn into one of those things that are in the back part of the deck that no one ever goes into.

That night I stepped in and jumped out as the tub was 109 degrees and flashing overheat. Called again and had to schedule same repair guy out.
This time he said he didn’t understand the new wiring on the newer ThermoSpas tubs. ThermoSpas uses hot tub repair centers that work on all hot tub brands. They don’t have their own repair guys. ThermoSpas uses independent contractors for service to save money. When you call them for service and know what the problem is, they send out a person to analyze the problem, charging you $65, when you already know what the problem is. These people carry no inventory of parts. If you need a part you must buy it from ThermoSpas and they FedEx it to the installer. For years I had problems with my heating element. I paid for the good element, while they sent the cheap element to the installer, pocketing my $100. I only found out about this because after many years I started using a different company and they showed me the cheap element installed by ThermoSpas. This is stealing from your customer and they must do it as a standard procedure.
Dana,
We have attempted to reach you by phone in reply to your review, as our records indicate we have not had contact since 2010. Its warranty and quality made us choose ThermoSpas, and the Park Avenue looked to be the best one to be suited for the purpose. We have had so much rain that the ground was saturated so it was not easy getting the product where it needed to go and even though it was empty, it was still heavy. But the fellas who delivered it did an outstanding job in getting it together. The weather in Alabama has been so wet and cold so we've only been able to use the spa twice. There’s only one minor problem that we've experienced. We've got the outside steps with the handle and the steps are not high enough for us. I'm gonna end up buying some more rubberized steps. Two steps are too short for our age. Other than that, I would still recommend ThermoSpas.

We got the Genesis 400 hot tub from ThermoSpas because of its price, and we’re happy with it. It has the back massage jets, which are very nice, and oxygenator. I like the power that comes from them. The way the tub was constructed, when the electrician hooked up the 220, there was no issue. It has easy access, and that is a phenomenal part of ThermoSpas. We also like that it is insulated. If we have to do any kind of repairs, we don’t have to have somebody take it apart. It’s easy to access for repairs and for draining. Years ago we got something from Cal Spas that had the insulation and we had to go in and remove some of the insulation in order to work on it.
The delivery team was very good at setting up our hot tub. Originally, we were going to have to have a crane, but I removed a post from the patio. They had it all set up to be able to get it in without having to use the crane. So, that saved me a bit of money. We’ve paid for the crane in advance but we got a refund for that. We’ve been waiting for three weeks now and we were told that we’d probably get a call today as to when the check would be ready to be mailed.
The only thing right now is I have to deal with the foam that some chemicals or something from one of us that got in is causing it to foam out. The common response would be oil or the soaps that we use. My son’s an auto mechanic, so it might be some reaction there. I’ve had to call ThermoSpas about the issue with the chemicals, and the person responded well to me, gave me the idea of what I need to do with it. It’s stressful until I get it figured out. But the times we use it, it was excellent. The lid on it works really well. The steps are good too. We’ll get good use out of it and be happy to have it, especially at our age. It’s been a good experience.

My husband and I decided to splurge for our 30th anniversary and buy a spa. We did the research and called ThermoSpas. The salesman came out and provided us with what seemed to be a lengthy pitch and review of our site. He measured the area and the door of the porch and said it would fit through the door and in the room just fine. We settled on the spa and the specs of where we wanted the power to come in at and the exact type of top we wanted so it would open correctly against the only wall in the room and not cover the windows on the porch. Fast forward... My husband completed the construction of the porch, drywall, paint electricity, etc. in preparation for our spa. The big day arrives and the spa is to be delivered. It DOESN'T fit through the door!!! First issue. We have to stop the delivery and my husband has to now cut out the sliding glass door and cut out the header. Bye bye nice beautiful new wall.
Now we call the team back to bring the spa into the room. Spa is in the room, wait the electrical is not where we indicate on the spec sheet. It is on the front of the spa not on the back right side. Electrical will not reach. Conduit not long enough have to rip that out go buy more and pay the electrician again for his time and materials. Open the cover, wait that is wrong too. It doesn't open to the wall. It opens to the windows. It takes the salesman 2 weeks to come to the house to look at the issues. He goes to a meeting for a week then passes us on to a Director of Sales. We Negotiate a very reasonable refund for our expenses only for the wall and electrician.
Now we are getting the run around on the refund that they told us would take 3 weeks. It has been over three weeks. I called the Director of Sales. He said he submitted the request it was approved but his admin was out and did not set an out of office reply and now it's going to take another 3 weeks before we get the refund. He said he called the corporate office to put a rush on it but was told they would look into it and if possible would move it up. Not sure what that means. I think $380.00 is not coming. And now that we are actually in the spa we found other issues and don't even know what to do. I would say stay away from ThermoSpas. Their Customer Service is terrible. Their sales people do not know what they are talking about. You do not get what you order.
Teri,
Thank you for the opportunity to discuss your concerns. I'm glad we were able to get your headrest replaced and that your spa is fully operational. As mentioned on the phone, please feel free to contact me directly if you need any further assistance.

We've been interested in purchasing a spa for some time. Since my husband travels a lot, I have always been the decision maker for major purchases and home improvements. This has been our arrangement for over 40 years of marriage. We both have extensive experience being in sales and customer service ourselves, so I know the spiel claiming they need both spouses present, if it's the female calling, because many companies are misinformed that the husband is the main decision maker and controls the finances. Once in a while I run into the illegal discrimination of refusing to do business with females if I admit that I'm married and I can't guarantee my husband will be available. When my husband has done the shopping, he has never been required to have his spouse with him for these types of appointments.
After the ThermoSpas representative got all the necessary information to set an appointment date, I told her I would be available in two weeks. She said she checked the schedule and confirmed availability, and just needed to verify cross streets, etc, for the Sales Rep to find our home. She then asked if I was married by indirectly and politely asking, "And who will you be enjoying your new spa with?" I answered, "My spouse, family, friends," not knowing her true intentions of this seemingly innocent question. She then asked for his name to correctly address him and if he'd be available in the two weeks for the appointment. I explained to the appointment setter that I couldn't guarantee he'd be available, and it wouldn't be a problem for me to make the purchase since I've always been the major decision maker and purchaser.
She politely put me on hold several times during my insistence each time, that I would definitely be available but possibly not my husband. Once she got back on the call, she proceeded to apologize that she made a mistake and that their sales rep in my area was booked up all next week and books up quickly. I said that in two weeks would be fine (since that's the original time scheduled). But, she said they couldn't schedule that far out. By now, I'm frustrated with her reluctance to schedule anyone to come to our house which she said was required to be sure the spa placement had to meet code requirements. When I asked her when someone could come out, she said she could have a rep call me for the sales interview. I questioned how anyone could determine if the spa installation would meet code over the phone, she put me on hold again.
Once back on the call, as she stumbled to answer, I bluntly asked her if this had to do with my husband possibly not being available. She just repeated that a sales rep could call me to go over custom spas that may meet our expectations, ignoring my questions. Since this is sexual discrimination refusing to work with me, a woman, I told her that I would just take my business to another company. I wanted to know if others have had this issue, so I read the reviews on ThermoSpas. Since this type of discrimination is all too often accepted, it goes unreported. After reading the reviews, I was thankful not to do business with them. It sounds like they have way too many customer service problems and way too many product quality issues, along with other issues such as overpriced products. I've done business for over forty years with reputable companies that don't discriminate and will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I called inquiring about pricing and was told we needed a consult to ensure we chose the perfect hot tub for our family. Since this is our first hot tub purchase we thought that a "reputable" company could provide some guidance on selecting a hot tub based on our needs. However, we spent less than 10 minutes outside discussing size and then the rep wanted to get right down to business trying to sell us the hot tub. The "hour or so" consult lasted 2.5 hours and we nearly had to push the sales rep out the door. The consult did not take so long because we had questions, but because when we told him we needed time to discuss and talk about the purchase he would try to convince us the price is justifiable because the hot tub is of a high quality.
The experience was comparable to a timeshare sales pitch. The hot tub price we selected started at $16K. We said we needed to talk, and the price kept dropping down to $12K. Every time we said no, there was a "special" deal just because he "knew we like good quality". Another no, and he was on the phone with the "regional manager" to see what he could do. During the sales pitch, we heard numerous times how there is no sales floor because each hot tub is custom built for the customer. But in a last ditch effort to get our business, lo and behold the "regional sales manager" had inventory he had to move.
I can't say they have crap hot tubs, I'm sure they are nice, although pricey. However, I was expecting a consult in my home, not a timeshare-like sales pitch. That in itself put a sour note on the whole experience. I have done my research and there are other comparable hot tubs in the same price range and less. Although not rude, the sales rep finally got the hint at 8:30 pm, gathered up his stuff and left in a huff. We were finally happy he left.

So we got the sales rep out here and he said that I will be his easiest sale because I'm a previous spa owner and I know what I don’t like. He said that he's going to show me what I'm going to like. There’s not a lot that has better quality. So I called ThermoSpa and the woman I talked to kept me on the phone and emailed me a pdf file that was very easy to print. If I needed anything, she had it right there and I had the easiest experience with them. She told me that my hot tub is going to be manufactured.
The installation went easily. We poured concrete and it was about four inches unleveled. The guy said that he'd been doing this for a long time and showed us how to shim it up. He even helped us to shim it before leaving. We just drained for the first time and started over. It was a much easier process. We read the directions this time and got the ph perfect. But they should make installing the access doors easier than having to drill with screws each time as that's going to wear the holes out. Also, we can't get the temperature to regulate. If we set the tub to 102 and sit for longer than 20 minutes the temp gets up to 107. It was so hot we can’t get in it. However, if we set it at 101, it's not hot enough for us.

I like it when it's 90 degrees outside and I've got the swimming pool in the summer. Now, I got the hot tub for the winter where I can get warm. I hate cold weather and I freeze when it's cold. Also, the tub has really helped my husband. John, of their reps, came out here once and he was amazing.
But there was one lady I called. I was getting confused on what she was telling me and I called her back two days in a row. She was really rude to me. And I wasn’t being rude with her. I wasn't getting what she was saying and she came at me with a really nasty tone of voice. When I asked her not to speak to me in that tone, she hung up on me. I called HR and let them know. They called me back and said they would speak to her. Hopefully, they can correct the problem.
In addition, for us people that live in the south, if I set my spa at 96, the temperature will go up to a 101 or 102. I called the other day and they explained to me that it's because they're mainly made for colder weather, with the insulation. They got to figure out a way to regulate the temperature a little better versus telling the customer to take the panels out to cool it down or throw ice in there. I was in it the other day, I had it set to 96 and it got up to 104. I can't have my grandkids in 104 temperature so, I need to really watch the temperature and that needs to be regulated better. Other than that, the spa has been amazing.

We purchased our spa (ThermoSpas Park Avenue) in August of 2010, was not delivered until November of 2010 which meant installing it in the snow. Promotion by ThermoSpa was that this is one of the best Spas on the market their overall quality was superb and justified the high price of their spa as compared to other comparable models. The first 3 years the spa was overall trouble free, but by the 4th year problems mounted with a number of issues including: tub jets falling apart and out, an improperly installed poly line that was for another model and not used on the one we had allowing leakage on the interior on one of the pump motors (if the diverter valve for Section 2A and 2B was any position other full divert then internal leakage taking place).
This resulted in having to replace a pump motor, the Ozone generator tubing connections gave out due to plastic fatigue failure causing an internal leak and the fact that the Ozone generator was now dead, and finally this past week the control panel went dead which means no way to diagnose or start anything and since this is November in North Eastern Washington we are in freezing conditions with no way to fully drain the spa piping, i.e. connections to pumps were factory glued and I could not move them without breaking them.
ThermoSpas does not have any factory technicians in our area (probably not in many other areas either) nor do they have arrangement with any therefore you are on your own, not a very handy situation to be in. Called the factory for support and was given the runaround. If you're smart stay away from this company and choose a reliable one that can support their equipment and provide good after the sale support.
Robert,
We checked our service records and do not have any remarks on a recent phone call from you for service. Since your hot tub was purchased before Jacuzzi's acquisition of ThermoSpas in 2012 it is possible that you may have tried to reach us at an old phone number that is no longer in service.
The former owners of ThermoSpas provided different service areas than our current company, though we may be able to assist. Please call our Technical Support Team at 1-800-833-7727 (hours are 8 AM - 6 PM EST Monday-Friday, or 8 AM - 1 PM EST on Saturdays) to speak to a technician.
Thank you,Elle, ThermoSpas

ThermoSpas was the only one we found that had extra insulation in it and we bought their Concord model since it was what we wanted. Their sales guy was nice and upfront about everything. But they kept the tub in their warehouse in Vegas for over a week before they delivered it to us. We live about 60 miles from Vegas and I would have liked it down here because I had to jump through some hoops to get a foundation poured and electric node over. So I was put out by that. Also, the spa could use a few more steps going into it. My wife and I have short legs, so we have to make an extra step out of it. My wife likes the tub though and she’s crazy about it. But I'm not. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

My sister has ThermoSpas and it must be a good product because it has a 10-year warranty and we watched how they're manufactured. I have researched tons of videos and I went in that direction. We got the Concord model since it’s what I could afford. The customer service could be improved but that’s okay and both the sales and the delivery crew were good.
However, one of the guys got hurt and luckily, I’m a firefighter and I had some other firemen come and help us so, they got there right away. He hurt his arm badly but he wasn’t in the position to hurt himself. As they're pulling half of the spa off the trailer, he was on top and the guys on the bottom had all the weight. I heard him howling and screaming all over the place. We were able to help the man out and help the rest of the crew get the spa on the deck. We use the hot tub just about every night and my wife and I enjoy it. She was reluctant, but she's the first one to say that we should fill the hot tub. For the most part, it was good. It’s a great and awesome experience and we like it.

My wife has a back issue. ThermoSpas is of better quality over other products and we bought the Atlantis model for her. It helps her with her aches and pains. The installation team and the guy who repaired a couple of things after the installation were friendly and were able to answer our questions. Also, everybody was professional and honest with us. We've had a very pleasant experience and if we had to do it again, we would. We enjoy ThermoSpas.

We saw extensive information on the ThermoSpas hot tub that showed on television that it was just so much better built than the majority of the tubs out there. I like the fact that it didn’t have the spray foam and that it was a lot more energy efficient. We bought the Concord model partly for the cost. The people who installed it for us did a very good job and put it up quickly. We're perfectly satisfied with how they installed it. The tub feels like it added luxury to our life that we never had before. In the evenings, once we're done watching our TV programs, it's nice to just go out and relax in the tub before we go to bed. I'm very happy with it. A couple of days ago, we got a letter from the gentleman that sold us the spa and thanked us for our business and sent us some card that we would get discount if we referred some other people for the tub.

ThermoSpas seemed to be a better spa than everybody else and I decided to go with them over other manufacturers because of the warranty. The installation team was fine, although they weren't happy. They said it should have been a crane job but the salesman said it wasn't. So it took them some time, but they got it up as quick and as efficient as they could. Since the installation, I'm still trying to figure what to put in weekly and how to balance the chemicals. The water is still a little tea-colored. They left a manual with me so I just got to read that.

What I liked about ThermoSpas was that we were able to sit down and talk to somebody about what we were actually looking for and we could customize to an extent. The overall experience was absolutely wonderful from the first dealing and dealing with the person who came to the house and the installation. The quality of the hot tub is wonderful especially compared to the one we had. The hot tub we had before was big and it was more of a party hot tub. We were looking for something more therapeutic with more jets now that we're old. I'm very happy with the product, the quality, and the experience. I would recommend ThermoSpas highly to anybody.

I did my research on Thermospas years ago, and it has better quality, as well as more jets than other hot tub manufacturers. So far, it’s been good, and our lives feel better. The sales guy and the delivery team were fabulous. We travel for a living as truck drivers and we’re home just a few days a month. But they have been very patient. It took us a year and a half for them to deliver our hot tub and we had to build the deck for it. It has been hooked up just two weeks ago.
One drawback we didn’t count on, however, was that they didn’t give us the information we wanted. From what we understood, it has to be shocked twice a week or we would wind up with all kinds of algae in there. The unit is just way too expensive to put in the hands of somebody that may come or not come over and shock it for us. My son comes over and mows our yard while we're gone. But the water gets destroyed if you forget just one time and we end up cleaning up and do more BS than what we want to. So we just empty it because we don’t want to go that route.
Water issues aside, ThermoSpas has great customer service. We haven’t had any bad issues at all. Even when we called customer service a few times about how to do the treatment, they are very good with it. They sent the email on how to do it and they followed through to make sure we did everything. It’s just a learning experience for us on how to make the water better through treatment.

I like the way ThermoSpas was built, its installation and the stuff underneath. Also, I don't have to dig through all that installation to get something fixed. Their people got wet when they brought it to me and they were really nice. When I have gotten into the tub, I really liked it and my boyfriend loves it, too. It really helps my back and hips. But I'm having trouble with it right now. I can't get the bromine on it. Sometimes I do and then sometimes I don't. I'm getting a lot of bubbles, too. I called them once because I couldn't get the alkaline and the other one up. They told me what to do and it fixed it really good. I thought I'd try to get this other one fixed by myself but it's not working so, I'll have to call in.

There was miscommunication within the ThermoSpas team that caused my frustration; however, as soon as they realized internally that this happened, they went above and beyond to take care of me and resolve the issue. Which is all anyone could ask for, they really turned out to be top notch.
Original Review: Sept. 10, 2017
My experience with ThermoSpas has been the absolute worse experience I have ever had with purchasing any product... and it just keeps getting worse. My hot tub that was delivered 8/25 is sitting in my back yard full of dirty water because of their incompetence. No one in this company speaks to each other, they are extremely disorganized, and basically don't know what they are doing. I would never recommend that anyone deal with this company.
I researched 3 hot tub companies and chose to go with ThermoSpas because they advertise they service their own product and come to do a site survey prior to purchase to make sure you get the tub that will work in your situation. Unfortunately, this really means they sell you the most expensive tub that will fit on your property (or in my case won't fit).
My salesman came on 6/21/17 and reviewed my site and gave me the sales pitch. All which I was excited about. My tub was going into a 600 square foot glass four season room in a home I just purchased and would replace a 20 year old hot tub that was set into the ground. This room had a sliding glass door that he said would have to be removed to fit any tub in. After many measurements, the salesman completed the ThermoSpas Site Survey with stated the maximum spa size possible is 95L x 80W x 38H, it says I have a door with measurements 77H x 42W, and further says the doors need to be removed and the rough opening would allow for the hot tub to be carried in. I agreed to have the doors removed prior to the installation. I also knew that getting this tub would require me to have a concrete pad poured into the room, which I would have done by the expected delivery date of 8/14/17 - 8/18/17.
I purchased the tub on 6/21/17 and used the ThermoSpas financing through Wells Fargo. I received a phone message on 6/30/17 from the delivery team stating my estimated delivery was 7/24/17. As I was having concrete poured that week, this would not work for me, so I called the contact number left on the voicemail on 7/1/17. There was no answer and l Ieft a message to be called back asap as this date would not work and was not what I was advised. I never received a call back the following week even though I left 2 more messages.
This was my first indication that my experience with ThermoSpas was probably not going to go well. I then called Cynthia ** at **, and after leaving messages twice with no return call, I got finally got through to her in person. I explained that I could not have this tub delivered until after 8/1/17 because the concrete needed to cure. She said not to worry, it was not scheduled for delivery until after 8/21/17. When I asked why the delivery team called and told me it would be delivered 7/24/17, she had no idea.
On the week of 7/24/18, I have concrete poured in the four season room in prep for the spa for $2800.00. On 7/31/17, I received a call from the delivery team and they scheduled my delivery for 8/25/17 between 10am and 2pm. I was so excited and scheduled my electrician to come the next day to hook it up. In preparation of the delivery, I paid $475.00 to have all the interior windows and trim cleaned in the 2 story glass four season room, as they were very dirty from the concrete pour. I had the sliding door removed, and unfortunately, the age of the door and way it was originally installed, the door did not come out well and had to be cut apart to take out, so I had to order another replacement door at $1475.00.
I took 8/25/17 off from work to have my tub installed. I received a call from the delivery team that the installers were delayed and would be here between 3pm and 4pm. 4 installers arrived around 4pm. After viewing the site, they started unpacking the tub and making a lot of phone calls. They got to the tub and were asking me, who was your salesman, how did he measure this, and then stated the tub would not fit through the current opening. They saw there was a row of exterior brick that was about 1/2 higher than the poured floor and asked if I could have that 1/2 cut off to allow more room and I said I thought so. After more measuring, they decided that would still not be enough room. They said that unless I removed the glass panels above the door because they need at least 3-4 more height. I stated I was not removing these panels as everything was tied together.
If I removed the door header, all the panels above it may fall down and I did not know how to do this. They suggested to have ThermoSpas contact the Four Seasons and have one of their technicians do it. They then said they would have the spa left at my house until the technician could be sorted out. They had me speak on the phone to the delivery coordinator (Andrew?) who told me they would contact the Four Seasons room company and schedule them to remove the panels and he would get back to me (Of course, I never got a call back from him on this). On 8/26/17, I received a email customer satisfaction survey. I completed the survey outlining edited details of my frustration with ThermSpas and the miscommunication and problems they have created for me.
On 8/26/17, I received a call from Mark, stating he was the sales manager for my area, it was his day off, but he saw my survey come through and he wanted to take care of this right away. I felt a little more hopeful about receiving some service and I was VERY understanding about the situation and was assured by Mark that this would be taken care of. That he would call Four Seasons and see how the glass panels could be removed to get the tub in. I explained to him about removing the door, and now I had to replace which I would not have done if I wasn't having this tub installed. He said he was going to help me out with the cost of the door for all my frustration. I said what I really want is my hot tub installed so I could use it. He asked me to make some measurements for him and send pictures, which I texted him that afternoon, as well as the contact information about Four Seasons Green Houses. He said he would get back to me on Monday.
On 8/27/17, I received a call from Mark who said he had been trying to communicate with Four Seasons and that their customer service was very difficult. He said he had also spoken with Jim, the installer on more details of the installation. He asked if I could cut the bricks down, which would give us the room to be able to move the hot tub in. I explained that Jim told me he needed 3-4 to get the tub in, and even wrote this in the comments on the Delivery Report Checklist. Mark expanded that this was because of a dolly, but if they carried it in without the dolly, the extra 1/2 would work. I was extremely excited now that we didn't have to remove the glass panels, and said I would cut the brick down by Thursday 8/31/17. I asked him how many weeks this would take, and he said, "It's not weeks, we want to make this happen by Friday" to make me happy.
On 8/28/17, I left work early and cut down the brick. This left a layer of red dust all over the interior of the sunroom. I paid $475 to have cleaned, which was upsetting, but I was still excited I could get my tub in. I also took off the drip channel above the door and was able to get 80 1/2 - 80 3/4 in the height opening. I called Mark and told him, and he said he would get the installation scheduled for Friday (9/1/17). I texted him more pictures, and said that I hoped this would work and he replied "Should be good, find out on Friday." I took the day off on Friday for the revised installation. On 8/31/17, I received a call from ThermoSpas asking how I was enjoying my Tub. I explained about it sitting in my backyard wrapped up in plastic and all the information listed above. She said she would get on top of this right away to get it resolved. True to ThermoSpas form, I never heard from her again.
Finally, on 9/7/17 I got a message from Wells Fargo stating a charge for the hot tub had come through on my account. Since I have already been billed for this tub in my backyard, I called Mark and left a message to find out more information. I then called a second time when he answered. I asked him for an update to when this could be completed. He was very confused, and asked me, "So they couldn't get it in the second time?" I explained there was no second time, I was still waiting for it to be installed. He said he would find out something and call me back in 15 minutes. Of course, he never called me back. I'm pretty disgusted with ThermoSpas by this point and pretty experienced with their lack of customer concern or care.
I did get a call from the delivery team (Andrew?) on 9/7/17 to schedule the second attempt at installation. He scheduled it for Saturday 9/9/17 between 2pm and 4pm. I explained I have to leave by 6pm that night so they could not be late. He told me he would let them know I have to leave by 5pm. I decided to cancel my plans for that evening given my terrible experiences so far so I would not create more frustration on my end, so I had all evening for the installation if there were any issues.
On 9/9/17, the installers called around 2:30pm and said they would be at my home around 3:45pm according to the GPS. At 4:15pm, 3 installers arrived to put the tub into a room that 4 installers couldn't get in 2 weeks prior. The lead installer surveyed the site, made a lot of calls and there was a lot of talking back at the truck. The other installers unwrapped the tub and it was 1/2 full of dirty water because the tub was left right under my roofline and we had 3 major storms since it had been sitting there. Luckily, I have a sump pump so we connected that to get the water out. Finally, the lead installer tells me this isn't going to happen today. He needed more help to lift the tub inside and was trying to get a second team out but couldn't. He said he was not told of any specifics of this, had not seen any pictures, etc. I sent over 8 pictures at different angles to Mark which showed these details.
Given all the issues with this installation, WHY weren't these shared with the installation guys? The lead installer said they really needed room to get the tub in, because of the angles, step up, etc. etc. He said he would really need to reschedule the delivery when he could get more help. He said he would try to schedule for this week. I want to be very clear that both installation teams were very helpful, professional and as accommodating as they could be given the information they were provided with.
So it's 9/9/17 and I have a brand new hot tub with dirty water in the lines in my back yard, cardboard and plastic wrapping material laying around it and chemicals that have been soaking in water for over a week, that I am paying full price for. I am livid with the horrible customer service that has been provided. The TOTAL lack of follow through on everyone's end at ThermoSpas - Everyone says they will take care of something and all they do is pass the problem on to someone else a ThermoSpas and no one contacts me to see if the problem was resolved! They act shocked when I call and ask what is going on.
I have been very understanding of all these disappointments but now I am livid at this point. I spent over $5000.00 prepping the site for this ThermoSpas tub all based on their "expertise," and have followed all their recommendations to be riddled with problems. I chose this company because I thought I would avoid all these type issues based on their marketing. Totally disgusted and ready to make it my mission to advise everyone NOT to deal with this company.

ThermoSpas hot tubs are more therapeutic for some pains and their Concord seemed to also have more things for therapeutic effects for muscles and backs than any of the others did. The engineer who came over and did the sales talk seemed very knowledgeable about it, and it was a good experience. Then the folks who came over to set it up seemed to be very confident and they did a nice job. With a couple of phone calls for the delivery date, the folks are very pleasant to work with. We've had hot tubs for the last 25 years and the Concord has a couple more bells and whistles than the others we've had.

I also liked the construction of their products and the durability of the frames versus the other spas. The sales rep who came out was outstanding, friendly, and very laidback wherein he did not pressure us. He gave us a lot of information too. Ordered a Maui Diamond to replace a Lexington model, which we had owned for over 25 years. After speaking to the salesman, we discovered that we should have performed some routine service on the Lexington. However, we had no problems aside from replacing a little rubber piece on one of the jets! That is why we wanted to stay with ThermoSpas. ThermoSpas' website lets you build your model but pricing is only available when the site survey is done. We have since had over a dozen repeat calls indicating that we were interested in purchasing a tub and offering to set up the site survey. The last call happened almost a week after the tub was installed.
The salesman arrived on time and proceeded to run through his scripted presentation. Having already owned a hot tub, we did not need to hear all of the reasons why we should have a hot tub. And, we did not need to have the sales pitch and watch the videos telling us why ThermoSpas was the best spa available. Saw the videos online before setting up the site visit. We just needed a price! We had no intention of signing a contract without doing our due diligence with a cost compare on the other manufactures. But, the Maui offered a perfect size and most of the options we had been searching for. So, we worked on the deal and signed the contract. Projected delivery was 6 weeks. It was available in 5.
I had to draw the route the tub would take to its final resting place in our hot tub room. (Complete with gate and door sizes) It appeared that everything was covered. I even took off from work the week the tub was scheduled to be delivered. Installed a wood grain porcelain floor and widened the door frame to facilitate the delivery. Then, I got a surprise which I had not expected or wanted. Hot Tub Service of New Jersey showed up to deliver and the team consisted of a middle aged man, his wife (whose foot was in a type of walking cast) and a tall lanky relative of theirs. Obviously not the team I expected to see for delivery of a 700 pound tub! Despite filing out all of the information for an inside delivery and number of entry steps, they thought it was a backyard install and said they couldn't complete the install without my help. Having waited 6 weeks for the delivery, I agreed to offer my services.
I walked with Angel, the wife, around back to show her what I was talking about. The other 2 said they would call me when my help was needed. Feeling bad that she couldn't walk so well, I set up a lawn chair for her and then heard a very loud “bang” or crash. As I looked down my driveway I saw the tub half on the cart they would use for transport. They couldn't put the locking pin in the cart and decided to move the tub around back with my assistance holding it upright. OK, so I had obtained the engineering specifications and knew that it would fit through the openings. But, the level of effort needed to bring an unwrapped tub through my gate, was the start of an exhausting day. I took over when they wanted to lift the tub onto a plastic sled and pull/push it up the 5 stairs. Told them to take it off the cart and stand it up close to the stairs, lower it and we would already be more than half way up the stairs.
Their concern was having the tub hit the stairs hard. Told them I would be at the top of the stairs lowering the unit onto my movers blanket and extra padding which I had ready. That worked. What ensued was a valiant effort by the 2 guys to get it up the stairs while I was at the top. This was not working so I went down and helped them align and push the unit up the stairs. This took several trips into the house and back out to the yard. Running around to expedite the delivery really was a workout. Knowing the measurements and having chosen the tub because of the specifications, I was sure it would fit. But, not with the added styrofoam packaging. They were reluctant to take it off for fear of damaging the shell. But, I convinced them that we had to remove the foam and upon their insistence, we left the cardboard on.
After working on this for over an hour, it was finally resting in our hot tub room! The entire delivery team said they would not have been able to deliver the tub without my assistance and that I was very strong... Angel then started delivering her closing speech, quicker than the legal disclaimers following a commercial. Then, she asked me to initial and sign the delivery form. At this point, I just signed it without reading it. Later, I read the document in detail. Hardly any of the items, which were checked off as being covered, were actually discussed.
Items like: how to remove the panels, where the hose spigot is located, how to prime pump to free air, she definitely didn't point out location of the pumps, since the panels were never removed, how the therapy vales work, how to remove skimmer basket and I have no idea what “equipment plug in terminals” means. *It also shows delivery of an ice bucket lit, which wasn't applicable to our unit.* I cannot believe that I signed an acknowledgement that the delivery crew completed the checklist and demonstrated or explained all of the items listed! I should have known better and will now have to figure all of this out myself.
My electrician came to wire the tub and install the upgraded 60amp circuit breakers. After filling the tub, it was powered up. The priming mode completed and the display was blank! Only the lounge pump was functioning. Pump 1, blower, lights and temperature buttons, on the control pad, did not work! What a disappointment! Tried restarting the unit several times, to no avail. However, the control pad now continually reads 99 and none of the buttons work on it. Lounge still works. Could this be the result of the install team dropping the unit on the cart? It was a very loud crash and I was surprised that there wasn't any visual damage.
Called for service on Monday. As the service Department is only open till 1:00 PM Eastern on Saturdays. After remaining on hold for 19 minutes, an incredibly nice service expert, Mike, sympathized with me and assured me that the situation would be resolved promptly. I have confidence in his words and expect to be reaping the fruits of my labor in a few days. But I do have some design concerns. The spa pack location on the engineering drawing is not correct. It is located to the right of the filter not the left, as drawn. And, why aren't there finished edges on the styrofoam wall inserts. Every time you touch one, small pieces inevitably break off and float all around the motors and exterior. You would think that, over time, this would be a problem for the motors.

My new spa was delivered in the first week of July. I was very excited and couldn't wait to get it filled up. The delivery team was awesome and very professional. Once the delivery team was gone and the tub was full of water and wired up the problems began. The first problem we found was a leaking valve for the pillow jets. Then we start inspecting and find two damaged slats, and the pillows in the tub weren't installed in the correct location. I contacted ThermoSpas and they were very helpful with getting these items taken care of and they also sent me free chemicals. At this point I'm thinking okay just a minor hiccup and all is good from here... A week later I go out to use the tub and find water leaking all around the tub. I start removing panels and find that a main suction line was leaking. It had filled the bottom pan of the tub completely full of water approx. 4 inches deep before it starting spilling out.
I immediately call ThermoSpa and describe what I'm seeing and they have me drill holes in the pan to let the water drain out. At this point it has already developed some mold and a nasty smell due to the 100+ degree temps here in Texas. ThermoSpa sends parts to my home and schedules a repair team to come out to repair it a week later. They get here and advise me that they don't have all of the parts to make the repair. They order more parts and come out 5 days later, drain my spa and repair it. At this point I'm very disappointed that I have just bought a top rated spa that retails for $15,000.00 and it has been drenched in the bottom of the tub and the OSB board had been under water for over two weeks.
I call ThermoSpa and voice my concerns to Mike ** whom is the director of manufacturing. I tell him that I feel I should get a replacement considering I haven't even had the spa for a month and I've already had multiple problems. I was also told by another manager it should not be an issues having a replacement sent, but he reassured me that if the tub could be repaired he would be in touch with me to discuss compensation and extending my warranty for all of my hassles, Mike even gave me his cell phone number to contact him in the future. It has now been over a week since the repair was completed on my spa. I've texted Mike twice and called him twice with no return communication from him. I'm pretty sure at this point I'm being avoided.
ThermoSpa had been great to work with up until the point that I feel like I was lied to by upper management. I'm a service manager by trade and I would never consider giving a customer the cold shoulder. Completely unacceptable and if I were to do it again I think I would've saved several thousands and taken my chances seeing how the quality they claim to have isn't actually there...
Mr. Jenkins,
I am writing to follow-up to ensure that we have addressed the issues you were experiencing with your hot tub. The service department advised that you spoke on 8/7/17 and that a resolution you were satisfied with was agreed upon. If there are additional concerns please contact Mike Tierney directly at the phone number he provided. Thank you for the opportunity to make things right and I hope you are enjoying your hot tub!

I am deeply disappointed with our Manhattan ThermoSpas and the service. After the delivery people left and we filled it up it worked for about 2 minutes. Getting a service person back out took two weeks. After spending over 10k you would think you would at least get a working product and good customer service. We used it yesterday and when we got it the water temperature was 95. I set it at 91 but it kept getting hotter??? WTF. I wanted to cool it down but it increased 6 degrees.

They're really great as far as customer service. They'll go out of their way to help and so far, it's been awesome. So far, our experience has been great.

I purchased a spa 8 weeks ago. Wasn't initially convinced but the sales person convinced me to pay more for a quality spa but that is where the quality ended. Received my spa a week ago, delivery guys almost refused delivery since the sales person did not measure right, but finally they got it in after taking some stuff apart. Delivery was ok and helpful although they don't do anything to help setup. If you have never owed one you are on your own. After connecting power the only thing flashing on it was errors, sensor errors and nothing would come on. I had to call in and after 50 minutes I got someone to walk me through priming which had nothing to do with the real problem, the offer was to send someone in 48 hours, just got it and wanted to use it.
I opened the panel and checked the sensors. They were loose so pushed them in and finally got it running. Also had damage to outside panels and pillows, which I had to order replacement parts already, no care was taken. I received the pillows which is good, still waiting on panels. After using it, I started to feel more comfortable with the spa experience until I discovered a leak yesterday, asked for help and it won't come till next or so, again a week old and had electronic issues, damages to the tub and now leaking and very limited support, wood has time to rot.
They tell you that they don't deal with local stores so they can't shut down and then you would be stuck although they aren't local so you can't get any quick help and calling in is a nightmare. They have no one answering. I am in the business of customer service and this has to be some of the worse service I have received in some time so the reasons they tell you to buy from them are not true, the quality of the product is poor, they won't even help or call you on the day to check on you and when you have a problem they are nowhere to answer the phone. If you do have an issue there is no urgency to repair it, paid too much for a substandard product with poor quality. I would recommend you don't purchase from Thermospas, buy something local for cheaper since the Quality is not there.

Owned one 5th Avenue ThermoSpa since January 2004. I am a nurse and had turned 40. This little spa saved my spine and all my muscles. We have only replaced one cover with lift and one motor. We live in northeast and have watched many World Series world championships and Super Bowls outside with all the teenagers seated from the spa... Have recommended this to many.

I saw a ThermoSpas infomercial. They had a reputation and I liked the guarantee that comes along with it. I also liked the style and the service, including the fact that they came out and did an inspection on the property to make sure that everything would work properly. We told the salesperson that we had a limited amount of time because we had to pick up our daughter and he was very professional and courteous. There was no pressure. He was able to give us the spa we wanted for the price we wanted. He did offer a less expensive spa but we went ahead and had the custom one made.
It's the Atlantis model for $400. Size- and look-wise, it was perfect for our deck. We also liked the way that we could customize the color, so that it would match our décor on the back. It was a standard hot tub although I know that they have upgrades. The actual set up is like most of the other hot tub companies where you can actually customize the product. The reason I purchased the hot tub is because I drive anywhere between 1000 to 2000 miles a week and I found that the hot tub spas at hotels can relax and get your back straight out. It's a helpful way to relax after a long hard drive throughout the week.
The delivery people were very knowledgeable. They were able to actually deliver it and put it on the deck without using a frame. I was impressed how they got it up so easily and installed it. They also made sure that it was positioned in the way I wanted. And then after about two weeks of use, I was worried about a leak. There was water continuing to leak out of the motor area. They sent out a repair man who took a quick look at it and we haven’t had a problem since. They're great people to work with. We've had a great experience with ThermoSpas and my daughter in Saint Louis is considering getting one too.

In 11 years, I barely had any problems with the ThermoSpas tub I had at my last house in North Carolina. It's a lot more money, but they don’t break. There are two posts that the tub had to fit in between underneath the roof. There was a limited space and the Atlantis model is the only one that fits. They called once to make sure everything was good and they're good. Also, I'm more relaxed since the installation of the tub and I highly recommend them all the time.

I like the lounge and the wave features. Everything has been good, including delivery, set up and support. They're pretty easy to get a hold of and very informative. We got some directions back and forth to do stuff on chemicals. Our experience has been very good.

I had a Lifestyles hot tub which I bought from Wayfair.com and it cracked on me in the first year. I called them up and they wouldn't do anything at all. It had a one-year warranty but it cracked two days after my warranty. I attempted to fix it myself and there is absolutely nobody in Columbus where I'm stationed that fixes hot tubs. I had to leave it there and it wasted away. I wasted over $4,000 and it dwindled away. Then, I was looking at the TV and I saw ThermoSpas for over a year. I kept on looking at it but I didn't know if I should invest in another tub again. The family asked what I thought about a tub and my dad came in and said to invest in a tub. I said was not doing the tub thing again and that there's nobody to fix a tub around, but I called ThermoSpas.
They said they can send people to fix the tub and that it has a 10-year warranty. I thought I could deal with that but I was still on the fence and was 50/50. I called the guy and one of their sales reps came over. He explained everything to me, how it works and the financing and I decided to do it because it was zero percent financing. I also have great credit so, I figured why not and then I jumped on it. But it took me a little bit longer than expected to get it hooked up because it's direct power. It's unlike any of the other hot tubs that you plug and play so, I had to get an electrician to come in. That was a little bit pricey and took a little while because it's really hard to find an electrician around here.
Also, it's neither here nor there because I didn't have 220 power outgoing direct to my junction box to where I was plugging hot tub in. But the rep put me in touch with somebody and the guy came out, hooked it up, and I've been using it for the last three weeks now. Being in the army for over 10 years takes a toll on the body. It is impacting me a lot because I have back injuries. Tomorrow, I'm gonna hit the hot tub and I'm looking forward to that. It's an awesome experience.

You may find better looking hot tubs out there compared to ThermoSpas units. But ThermoSpas do have a nice design, strong structural frame, are very well-isolated, have a lot of useful features when added (blower, 4-6 pumps, more jets, large capacity ozonator, etc) that are worth of every penny you spend and every effort you make toward it. It will take you a couple of weeks to understand and manage the water chemistry and the chemical balance, but once you get it done, it will go just fine. Unfortunately, delivery crew are not very helpful when explaining features or it may be the excitement of the first day that overcomes the attention needed for absorbing new information. Whatever it is, you will need to read several times the booklet and I also recommend reading and having with you "Understanding the Water Chemistry for Spas".
Hope you know by now that placing the hot tub in your home is just the beginning. Be ready for 1500-2000 additional to pay for materials and electrical hook up, platform (very recommended, even on pavers) and a few toys that may enhance your experience. If you live in hot weather areas, your hot tub will heat up around 10-15 degrees over the set temperature which you may find ideal to save you money from heating 300-500 gallons of water.
However, an elevation of more than 3 degrees over that temperature will automatically shut off the circulation pump and trigger the automated flush for a few minutes only every 12 hours (from the first electrical run). That means that the water will not circulate 24/7 (as the vendor claims) with the "benefit" of "the best cleaning process for hot tubs in the market", This situation will prompt you to keep a close eye on the chemical balance of that water since it will stay still for a prolong time (roughly 11 hours) before the next flush or purge cycle. With that in mind ThermoSpas is an excellent choice when loaded appropriately with the choices they offer.

When I bought my house it had a tub already in it but the computer was shot and it was 10 years old. I heard ThermoSpas was the best. I got Maui which was a good model for the elderly. However, I expected a little more service than I got for $16,000. Even the guys that set it up weren't much help. It's a beautiful spa and it would be good once I get to use it, but I'm not too happy with the service. I'm not a very good reader and it's a little confusing on the chemicals. I found out that I'm not supposed to be using chlorine, I'm supposed to be using bromine. I'd love to get in and use it but I'm continuously trying to balance the chemicals in it. For the money that I spent, I could have gotten a spa that was a lot less expensive and didn't have a lot of service involved with it.

I had responded on the web for ThermoSpas because I was interested in getting a hot tub. Then, somebody called me from Connecticut. It was a nice conversation with the guy. When the guy came, I smiled a little bit when he said he was a technician. But, I realized right away that he's a salesman and that was okay with me. The presentation was very solid. He was very good and very professional. He answered all my questions and gave me a price. I said “I can't do that. Well, get somebody on the phone who can.” And so we called back to Connecticut and it worked out really well.
I never had any exclusive hot tub before so I said, “Okay. Let's see what it's like.” So I chose a Park Avenue model and I got a fair price. I like the idea of the lounge, the wave and just sitting in the hot tub. Right now I'm enjoying the spa itself rather than having a wave with all the bells and whistles. Just last night it was cold, windy and rainy around here so rather than build a fire I'm getting in my hot tub. I'm very pleased with the spa. It really worked and I love it.

A little delinquent in writing my review, I apologize for that. What can I say about our Aquacisor other than we "LOVE IT". From our first experience with our salesperson Joe, the delivery people, to when having a minor issue dealing with Zach in Customer Service all have been positive. My only disappointment was that I couldn't fit a full swim spa in the space that works. We use ours almost every day. We have not yet worked out a full exercise regimen but do what we can. There have been some days that just a Aroma Therapy session is warranted and having the depth which I couldn't find in any other makes it totally a relaxing experience.
As for customer service, Zach has an astounding amount of knowledge regarding any issues that I may have encountered. I did have a malfunctioning LED light which he was able to diagnose over the phone but had to send a technician out to do the necessary replacement almost immediately (couple days) which was fine. As having previously owning a Hot Tub we found that the overuse of chemicals to be a detriment to health, NO such thing with our new Thermospas and our Thermoclear system. It is important to note we have our Aquacisor enclosed in our garage/dayroom and there is very little to no caustic fumes. As you can tell we are VERY PLEASED with our Thermospas Aquacisor and all experienced contact with their staff.

ThermoSpas salesman Stan came out and explained about the hot tub. He was awesome and I got the Chesapeake model. The tub is not filled with Styrofoam in the inside so if something goes wrong with it because of leaking, the problem can easily be found. The other ones are filled in with hard Styrofoam inside so if I have to get anything fixed, all that Styrofoam has to be cut to get into it. It'll be a lot easier having the said model, plus it has a 10-year warranty. It also got a special heater and it never rusts.
I've had the hot tub for a couple of weeks now but I just got it inspected today and they gave us the okay. They came down to sign it off. I turned it on last Sunday but I ran into problems with how to set it up and turn it on even though I had the right power and everything else. I called Stan and he returned the call right away even though it was a Sunday. That's unusual, but I was very happy. I found out that the water had to be to a certain temperature before the pumps kick in. I didn’t know that and we were always wondering. It would have been nice if somebody came up and explained to us how to work the tub because I'm still gonna have to learn on my own. I'm still even trying to figure out the pH balance on the water today, Thursday.
Nonetheless, I'm happy with the tub right now even though I haven't used it yet. I got to get a hold of Stan again because one of the corners is broken and I need to have somebody come down and get it fixed. Other than that, everything is running fine so far. So, as long as I can keep it and when I start using everything else and somebody’s looking, then I would recommend one of the ThermoSpas than any of the other ones because it’d be easy maintenance.

Additionally, I considered the fact that it's not sold in stores. It's directly from the manufacturer to the warehouse to my house so I'm eliminating the middle man. The people who came in for the delivery were three men and a woman. The woman explained to me all the features and the men were helpful, too. While the woman was showing me the controls and everything, the men were showing me about the cover, the stairs, etc. They did their best.

After 2 yrs of experience with a ThermoSpa hot tub, a review and "food for thought" for potential buyers is in order. Being a former hot tub owner, I've had enough experience to offer a few insights and WARNINGS. I bought this relatively expensive tub because it offers a jet system designed to relieve RA symptoms... and it does. However, potential buyers should consider that unlike buying a spa locally where you basically get a turn key job and local service, with Thermospa it is delivered, rolled off a trailer, and it is yours.
Being a contractor, I had the equipment and resources to make it happen... not all people do. BUT, the biggest consideration is service. On Oct. 17 I called related to a leak (the second one since owning). After 7 weeks of phone calls and total frustration, on Dec 1 it is fixed... I think? ThermoSpa tubs are expensive and the jet feature for RA is great. But if you are not equipped to physically move and the resources to install, you might want to reconsider. But most importantly, you must have much more patience than I do when it comes to service. Clearly the technician was capable and tried when I was able to get him here. But the real problem was ThermoSpas' CS department that was totally unresponsive and absolutely had no follow up or concern as to problem resolution. Would NEVER put myself in this position again by buying ThermoSpa.

The delivery guys were also very extremely helpful and were early. I was very impressed with both. By the time I got home, everything was ready to be brought in. They explained everything about the chemicals and whatnot though I still have to do the extra reading. I also needed assistance taking the door off the hinges and they were more than helpful to do that for me. I was happy.
However, I wished getting the electrician and having it wired was part of the package because that’s my delay right now. I’m still shopping around for one. ThermoSpas had good reviews online and everything seemed to be fine. The salesperson came out and they're the only ones that make an Aquacisor without going to a swim spa. Then there was a production delay. We were okay with that because we're gonna put our house on the market and we spoke with them about it. ThermoSpas called to say that the spa was in Portland. We told them to have it delivered. However, the delivery person never returned our phone call. Finally, I got hold of Adrian and after two calls to him, the delivery guy got back to us. He was supposed to come out and look at our site. It took a month and a half before we could get the delivery date confirmed. We also had ordered the cover special way but it's not correct. They told us we would get it within 10 to 12 days and it's now almost a month that we have not heard a word on it.
When there were problems with the delivery person to make amend, Adrian sent us six months’ worth of chemicals which was very nice. We were very appreciative of it. But everything is falling apart again since delivery because we have a very expensive Aquacisor sitting on the patio that we can't use. It was a very bad communication for them and we're very disappointed. At this point, if it wasn't for what the contract term said, I would tell them to take it and give us our money back. But that's not an option. I'm in the process of composing a letter to send to him because it seems like telephone doesn't do well. One time the glitch was with us. But I called and thought we had corrected that. The delivery person just kept stalling. It looks like it's a very fine product. But when you can't use it, it's not so great. We're very unhappy with them.

On the same side where we found that, some of the jets were blocked. We removed the jets and there was a big silicone coming out of the spa. We were concerned about where the silicone came from and if there was going to be a risk later on that some pieces would come apart. But we love the spa and the fact that we can adjust everything differently depending on how we feel. We can share it with another person too and that person can do her own thing.

I did some investigation with local spa companies since I figured I wouldn’t have any problem getting service locally. We had gotten prices from them concerning some of their stuff without going to the showroom to see if it fits our budget. On the contrary, ThermoSpas wouldn’t give us anything over the phone. They insisted on a guy coming out to our house, which was fine. After the sales rep came out and showed us the different levels that we could purchase, in doing research on the computer, I found out that the Park Avenue was the most popular model. We wanted something above average and we're looking for something that is three-quarters way up the scale as far as its accessories and amenities, so we went with that.
We ended up spending almost twice as much as we intended to spend. It wasted my budget, which was the downside. The upside is that the warranty that comes with it is something that nobody else in the industry has, and the warranty is worth our peace of mind knowing that for the next 10 years, I've got coverage on my spa. It covered the difference.
Once the spa was delivered, it was set up. The delivery guys told us certain things about it. They didn’t rush anything. They came out here and did a good job. We went through a delivery checklist. We filled it up with water, did the preliminaries, tested the water, put the proper chemicals in and got that established, and then, we're good to go. It works well. We had families visiting from Texas and one of them was my daughter who owns several Jacuzzi type systems in her house in South Padre Island. In fact, I don’t think she uses her own spa that often, but she’s been in ours every day since she’s been here.

I watched ThermoSpas on a commercial. We received our hot tub in July and had trouble with it ever since. Our fuse blew and it took about three weeks to get somebody to come fix it. I don't want the tub - it's not at all what I expected and there's been a headache ever since we bought it.

I purchased a ThermoSpas about 25 years ago when they were sold by local individual spa stores. The individual stores were responsible for warranty service and any other assistance you may need. The spa I had lasted a long time. NOW, they are based solely out of New England. They say that their headquarter are based in the U.S.A. That is true. That is all that is true. The Hot Tubs are seriously overpriced, cheaply made, and customer service is almost non-existent once you've laid your money down. Don't believe me. Search Complaints ThermoSpas and you'll see. Choose another manufacturer.

I am extremely disappointed that the customer service rep cancelled my design appointment because my husband couldn't be there. I clearly articulated that he does not want to be there and that we have very conflicting schedules, we both work. I am totally capable of making all of the decisions as to what I want in a hot tub, especially since I am the one that wants this, not him. I am also financially independent, I could pay cash myself or qualify for a loan with my own credit if I chose to pay with credit. ThermoSpas is doing a huge injustice to the company to insist on such qualifications for a consultation. You are forcing people to take their business elsewhere without even hearing about your product. You really should reconsider this policy to avoid losing future business.
Brenda, Thank you for reaching out. I’m sure when the time comes you will be the one to make the decision. But, that’s not what this appointment is about. This appointment is designed to allow you to create the Hot Tub that’s right for you and your budget. Let me assure you that discussing this with both of you together will actually use much less of your time by answering all of your questions in a single visit. A site visit takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Inspecting your site (or sites) and determining your best options base on your specific property takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Then, we'll take 20-30 minutes to look over pictures and videos of your options and answer your initial questions. Finally, we will take measurements, calculate an exact price and deliver it in writing before we leave. We respect your time and we're not going to waste it! Is there any chance you would be willing to let us visit and show you how great the experience can be? ~ Elle, ThermoSpas

I have scheduled an appointment for a sales/tech rep to come out to our home to discuss the right hot tub for us and provide us with pricing. Unfortunately the next available appointment wasn't available until July 2, 2016 (made the appointment 3 weeks prior). 1 day before the appointment I received a text message to call them (they should be calling me to confirm the appointment not the other way around). I called and confirmed that I, my father and my mother will all be present at the time of the appointment at our home. Sales rep (Kelly) canceled my appointment claiming she needs the owners to approve. I provided the owners (my mom and dad) contact information but the sales rep still canceled my appointment.
Shortly the sales rep texted me again saying appointment is canceled but instead they can have a technician work with me over the phone or she can schedule a new appointment for a different time. Decided to move on from this experience and not deal with the company. Imagine if I actually purchase a hot tub from them and had any issues, would have been a nightmare!
Thank you for letting us know about your sales experience, Marcin. The service you received is by no means up to our standards and I apologize if our technician was unprofessional. I have alerted our Sales Manager to your feedback. If you would like to speak to him directly please call 1-800-876-0158 and provide your name as a reference. ~ Elle, ThermoSpas

We love the bubbles about ThermoSpas. Their team members were very friendly. The only disappointment was it was not delivered as planned. There was a crack in the factory and I had to wait. We wanted it for Christmas and didn't get it until January, but they provided smooth service overall. I'd buy it again.

I trust ThermoSpas and they showed me how the hot tub was put together. ThermoSpas was more expensive than some of the ones that I’ve checked but I felt it was reliable. It was my first hot tub, so I didn’t want any trouble. I have a lot of problems with my knees and ThermoSpas has really helped with that and with my aching muscles. The hot tub is easy to maintain and I’ve been happy with it so far. I’m excited to see how it goes when summertime comes.

I had ThermoSpas last November and I like the way their products were built. I enjoyed being in the tub since I get out of work to just relax and it has taken a lot of the stress that I felt away. The problem that I'm having right now, trying to control the temperature, is nothing major. I just need to look in the metal handle just a little bit more and I'll figure it out, but all in all, I like the spa. I wouldn't buy anything else.

It's a lot worse with ThermoSpas Hot Tubs than I thought it was going to be. I like the hot tub but it’s always either cloudy especially when I use pump 2. The customer service people told me to do several things. I did it and it acted like it was going to clear up but it never did. So, I just don’t use pump 2. The tub got an ozonator on and it’s got that thing that goes down inside where the filters are to flush them out. I’ve asked the customer service and they explained it like it’s so simple and I cannot get it right. I am messing with it now. I put chlorine in it every other day since I can do the tester. And when it says to do something, I’ll add or delete it and I’m going to get my test strip and it says pH in pad and it got colors there and the next one is chlorine, the next one is pure alkaline. What the heck! And then the last one is PPM stabilizer, nearest handle.
On the chlorine thing, I could put five tbsp in this sucker and it still doesn’t bring that chlorine level to the purple like it should. I can sit here and smell chlorine. I’m not ready to take a sample of the water and go down to a pool place. My girlfriend who got a hot tub doesn’t know what it is and can’t get it to clear either. So I don’t know what’s going on. I work on this thing more than I did my pools. I paid over $10,000 for this and I wouldn’t buy it again. The customer service people were friendly and knowledgeable, though.
Ron, Just a quick follow-up to confirm that your chemical maintenance needs have been satisfactorily addressed by phone with our team. It looks like we've got you back on track, but if there are any further issues please don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-833-7727. Enjoy! ~ Elle

I started getting arthritis when I was a high school freshman. It's not terribly bad but bad enough that I don't want to get it any worse. So when I thought that I could afford the ThermoSpas, which is not cheap, I bought it. I decided to build a deck in my backyard to set the spa on and then enclosed it in a room since it's generally windy where I live. I haven't used it yet because I did several things to my house and they aren't finished yet. I’m sure that the spa will be great and I’m looking forward to using it.

Since I had my home presentation and got my price, I had a question relating to the size of the deck I will need to the hot tub and steps. I emailed the salesman (he did not leave a number to call him at) and a week later I still have not heard anything. Yesterday I went to a local hot tub show and found a tub as good as ThermoSpas for $6000.00 less and it tells you what is wrong with it when it goes wrong and I have local support. I hear that ThermoSpas are made in Mexico.

I really liked ThermoSpas. I interacted with them a couple of times for my questions and it has been pleasant. I was thinking to call them to see if they could send someone to check on the hot tub because sometimes the buttons for the options doesn't respond and I don't know if that is something that could be done. Other than that, it's really good. I purchased it because I'm a cancer patient and have fibromyalgia, and it's comfortable. I'd recommend ThermoSpas.

The installers did a real good job. I had a good experience when I purchased it and they did the installation. But we're just starting to use it. I had it turned on and it was running. It ran for about two days when my wife went out there and it was shooting water out of it. It's just gushing out and lost about half the water out. So we shut it down and just started it back this morning.
