I just want to update my review from a 1 star to 5 star! Thanks to Tom G for his diligent efforts to resolve the issue with the leaking spa! I am happy to report that even though initially the response and slow the issue was resolved to my satisfaction!

    Original Review: Sept. 27, 2020

I received my spa on August 14, 2020. The spa looked beautiful, however, the first thing I noticed was the jets didn't work properly even after adjusting them. Also the spa starting leaking! Also, my spa cover is filled with water!! I purchased the spa mainly for therapy and to relieve stress!! Receiving a defective product with poor craftsmanship has added stress! I'm still waiting for service since September 15th and today is the 27th! I have only been able to use the spa 3 times since I received it one month ago because the spa is leaking a substantial amount of water. I didn't receive the new spa I was sold and I want a refund!

The Hot Tubs are modern, fits in well in any home, and are top quality. Hot Tubs are very useful in the medical field. Breaks down body fat, muscle tension, and stress. You must keep them maintained and I do suggest a warranty. The Hot Tubs are slightly overpriced but like car buying, you can bring your cost down. Look for coupon deals online and at big merchant events like County Fairs. They are there and you can receive a better cost package deal.

We ordered a hot tub from Tim at ThermoSpas on 6/19/2020, he quoted us a delivery date of 6 to 7 weeks. I double-checked with him twice, to correlate electricians and delivery. The week the tub was supposed to be delivered, I received an email stating our tub would be delivered in 6 to 7 more weeks. I contacted Tim. He offered some excuses, typical salesman style. Two days later a "manager" named Tom G called to offer two options. One option was to take a display model at a discount of 750.00 or cancel the order. I discussed with my husband, called Tom G the following day. Tom G, the "manager" did not answer my call and 3 days later has yet to return my phone call. Do yourself a favor and go with a business who follows through on their promises. ThermoSpas also offered us rebates to do positive reviews, show our tub for free advertising and to refer our friends. Laughable!

I was told it was refundable. Now I have to seek legal help to get a refund.

I bought the Concord almost 4 years ago, it is currently leaking. I called for service and I was given to a third party spa repair. My Spa should be covered for at least 50 percent of of the parts per the warranty agreement, not to mention, it shouldn't be leaking after only 4 years. I spent less than half for my last hot tub that lasted twice as long before I had any issues. Needless to say, the third party company that they referred me to, called and informed that I would be responsible for 100 percent of the repair as they do not carry Thermo Spa's parts.

If I wanted to order the parts at a 50 percent discount from Thermo Spa I would have to pay them to figure out what the problem was, then order the part, then pay them to come back out and install whatever part I received. In essence pay twice for labor and wait almost 2 months to get my spa fixed. I think their business practice is questionable and their product doesn't live up to expectation of as advertised. I will not be utilizing this company for my Spa needs in the future as its customer service is quite dubious.

    Response from ThermoSpas Hot Tubs

We apologize for the service issues that have come up with your hot tub. Regarding the double labor charge that you have mentioned, while at out of Warranty for labor with the Spa being 4 years old, you would be required to pay a labor charge for the first call. However, if parts are needed that we did not have on that service call, the return call to install them would not include labor, dispatch or arrival fees. This is a policy ThermoSpas has in place to ensure that customers are not penalized if we do not have the part to immediately fix your Spa. Our notes indicate you cancelled the service call we had setup, as you did not want to pay the initial services charges, but please give us a call if you’d like re-set that up or speak with someone regarding the charges at 1-800-876-0158.

    Updated review: May 26, 2020

I've tried to reach out to Consumer Affairs to edit and update my previous review, but didn't get a response. I do want to update my review to indicate that several of the issues I previously mentioned were RESOLVED by the company, including the issue of the scratch during installation and refund of the lifter. While I still do think that there are some areas they could improve in terms of scheduling and transparency about hot tub management etc, I want to note that my RECENT customer service experience was significantly better than what I experience back in the fall, when we initially ordered. So I'm adding this and upgrading my stars, as it appears they may have addressed some of the issues since I initially wrote the review (it was just published, but that took time).

    Original Review: May 14, 2020

First off, you'll notice other reviewers commented on the hard sales pitch and this was certainly our experience, as well. They'll tell you just about anything to get you to buy it. If I could go back to the night and tell myself NOT to make this purchase, I probably would. I think we could've gotten a comparable product for MUCH cheaper with much less hassle.

The hot tub: The product itself is ok. But, they'll tell you it's nearly maintenance free, requires far less chemicals than other products - and neither of these things are true. We are CONSTANTLY adding chemicals (near daily right now) and finding it very difficult to balance our hot tub after six months of ownership. The supposedly proprietary system that keeps it perfectly crystal clear does not. We are draining and refilling much more often than we were told to keep it clean and clear. We're also finding that their brand of products doesn't work as well for cleaning/sanitizing as other brands.

The delivery and setup process: Not easy at all. Scheduling was a bit of a nightmare and we quickly found that once we'd paid for the hot tub, getting a hold of ANYONE in customer service was near impossible. We'd walked through a particular placement in our yard with the salesperson, who assured us it would work, and long story short - it didn't - and he should've known that it wouldn't work that way. We were berated later on in the process by a customer service representative who told us we shouldn't have placed it there and that this was the source of our problems. Well, we'd asked specifically if it would work, but as others have said - the salesperson will tell you what you want to hear, not what's accurate.

We had purchased a spa lifter that clearly would NOT would where the spa was placed; we eventually, after many emails and calls decided to return the spa lifter for a refund and six months later still haven't seen anything. Also, when the spa was delivered, it got scratched - and they were supposed to come back out and buff it. Never did, and despite scores of messages left on the customer service voicemail, nobody ever responds to our calls. We gave up calling. Which leads me to customer service.

Customer service: There is none. You will never get anyone on the phone. If you leave a message, they will never return your call. I was only able to ever get ANYONE on the phone by picking a different option on the menu and then haranguing the person who answered into transferring me, but that was six months ago, and I've not been able to get anyone since. You will waste many hours trying to get someone to respond to you, and you'll probably give up, just like we eventually did.

Tips if you purchase: Look, my review is bad. But, I will say that the actual tub itself, issues with maintaining the water aside, is nice. It's attractive (aside from the scratches from delivery). It's comfortable. The jets are good quality, the lighting is good quality and it does maintain heat very well, even in the winter. All of those things are positives. So, onto what they won't tell you that you should know:

Don't listen to them that this is lower maintenance than other hot tubs. It isn't. It's not worse - but it's the same. Go in with that expectation. You will have to clean and add chemicals much more often than they tell you. Look, that's fine, I've owned hot tubs before - what we have to do with this one is more or less on par with what I've had to do previously, but don't let them sell you on this as a plus, because it's not any different or better than other products. It's the same.

Don't let them tell you any placement will work. We wanted ours to sit adjacent to a low wall, so that three sides were open (but the fourth would be closed off). No problem, said the salesperson. So we spent the money to install a concrete pad in this spot and then, when it was delivered, including the pricey spa lifter we had initially purchased, we found that you really cannot do this. It should be open on all four sides, and you'll need more clearance on that spa lifter than you think. Read the specs yourself and take everything the salesperson tells you with a grain of salt, because they'll say anything.

You don't actually NEED a fancy spa cover lifter. We were really quite angry, initially, that it wouldn't work after what we paid. Returning it for refund (which of course we haven't gotten yet, six months later) wasn't what we wanted to do. But, we ended up buying a cheap manual lifter off of Amazon and found that it actually works really well, because the cover just isn't that heavy. So if you're reasonably able-bodied, consider whether you really need the mechanized one they sell.

Don't expect customer service - they're not going to help you in a timely fashion. So, plan, plan, plan to make the delivery as easy as possible. Hire an electrician to do the work that has worked with hot tubs before, because they know better what to do then the Thermospas folks (our electrician SAVED this project). So...there you have it. Do we enjoy the hot tub? Yes, we do. Was it worth $9K? No, it probably wasn't.

The sales person was knowledgeable and had ample information for us, brochures, videos and pictures- and in depth knowledge of specific things that were important to us like filtration options, maintenance etc.... The company was very patient with us as we readied the spot for the tub and it was delivered by professionals when we were ready. We got all the information we needed to maintain water quality and take care of our investment. And the product itself is awesome. Rock solid, everything works great, you can really tell the quality. It doesn’t use blown-in insulation, it uses thermal barriers Instead so if we ever did need or want to get ‘under the hood’ it is simple and easy to do.

We got the ozone filtration package which reduces the amount of chemicals needed. We use it every day, on weekends even twice a day- and my skin has never felt better. Because we use it so often I got a Taylor Spa test kit- it’s very precise and worth the cost. My skin glows and feels like velvet which is quite a feat in your 60’s! My joints feel better, my skin feels better (even the heels of my feet of all things!) and it’s effortless to go to sleep at night after being in the spa. It was delivered in early March, and I’m so glad we got it when we did, it makes quarantine a much better experience! We never splurge like this but I’m so glad we did it this time. No regrets!

We have only owned our spa for 9 months and really love it, but unfortunately the durability with some of the items hasn't been what we expected. Both items that broke are on warranty, but we placed an order for the locking shock almost month ago and it still hasn't been processed. Each time I call we get the reason is that they were shut down for 2 weeks, but in the mean time we cannot use our hot tub. We understand the shut down, but if we knew we would continue to need warranty parts due to breaking, we probably would have purchased one locally instead.

It would take way too much time to write down all the problems at one time so I'm going to write the short version. I have been calling HR, the salesman's boss and the salesman's bosses boss weekly for a month now with no response from any of them. The only reason we bought a ThermoSpa was because of the Warranty. The salesman said everything is covered 100% for 10 yrs and the shell for 20 yrs. He said this over and over numerous times. Nothing was ever said about prorating or limits. We were amazed. Then we talked about the chemicals and he said with the thermozone you wont need chemicals, all you have to do is add a capful of shock once a week and that's it and only if you use it everyday, if you don't you add it every other week. Again he said this over and over and again we were amazed.

He did nothing but lie it was all lies. When we got the tub we also received the warranty and it was disturbing 100% different than what we were told. The book that we received then also stated a whole list of chemicals that was to be used. Again he lied. In 1 month we have gone through the welcome kit they give us and I have spent another $227 in more chemicals and filters. We paid twice as much for this hot tub than we would have paid locally. The customer service is short with you on the phone and extremely rude. Out of a dozen I have spoken to only 2 were nice.

It's time to look into hiring a lawyer as the salesman was fraudulent. The company is allowing them to sell their product by lying to their customers to get a sale and once they get the money they do not want to talk to you. ThermoSpas was supposed to be based off their great customer service and warranty however neither are correct. Please note that in really tiny print that you are to sign before the salesman leaves that you are not allowed to take legal action against them, why would that be? I had to get a magnifying glass to read it. I also shopped on their website for chemicals as I was going through them fast on March 21st and they charged my card that day however I have yet to receive anything. When calling to see if they would credit back my account until they ship it I was told the only way they could do that was cancel my order. So frustrated I am unable to say anything good about my experience with ThermoSpas.

ThermoSpas did contact us with a solution that made us feel better about our purchase. They will update our spa with what they can and compensate us for what they can’t.

    Original Review: April 2, 2020

My husband and I had a ThermoSpas salesman come to our home to educate us about why their spas are better than others. He went on and on about how ThermoSpas has automatic sanitation- ThermOzone. When I asked him about maintaining their spas, he said all it takes is throwing in 2tbs of chlorine once every two weeks and the chemical kit lasts about a year. Also you only have to drain and refill the spa once a year, however, the manual says refill every 4 months.

Having never owned a hot tub before, we believed this guy. We built our custom hot tub with him. Then he gets on the phone with his manager and tells us there is an exact model of tub already made that a customer did not take possession of. The only difference is the color. They were going to knock off some of the cost if we take that tub. We were ok with changing the colors of the spa so we agreed to take that one.

Our newborn started to get fussy so we quickly signed the contracts having faith that our salesman was selling us what we were verbally discussing. Our tub was delivered about two weeks ago and we discovered many things did not add up to what we discussed with the salesman. Trying to get in touch with someone who can help us has been a nightmare. Finally, someone spoke to us today and informed us that their salesmen can say whatever they want in their pitch, it's not censored. We would have to pay in addition to the original cost in order to get the parts we thought we were already getting. Don't trust what they are selling you, they overpromise and underdeliver.

I thought it was coming in from the hot tub. Two years ago I shut down the hot tub and completely drained it. A few days ago I opened the cover to restart the hot tub and the cover had a lot of water in it. It took over ten minutes to drain. Even worse, there was 12 inches of water in the bottom of the hot tub. The fitting on the heater had broken allowing water to leak into the structure and the wood on the bottom of the hot tub was completely rotted. The damage to the hot tub was extensive due to freezing over the winter.

I was struck by the quality of ThermoSpas. I liked what I saw online and then their salesman did a good job describing the tub to me, which sold me. But I had one misunderstanding with him. He had mentioned a thank you gift given to me as a gift certificate from a restaurant. Because he called me with a question, I later found out that he was talking about if I referred somebody and I didn't catch that part. Also, I got a good discount for a tiny little scuff mark on it, which doesn't interfere with what it does. That helped a lot.

The installation went very well, but there was a funny part to it. I was told that I might get some of the things ahead of time in the mail and to leave it there. They'll put it together. I got this box that I didn't even open until the day. It was a towel rack. However, I didn't remember being told anything about a towel rack, but I thought that it made sense. I asked the installer to put it together and he did. But I was wondered why he looked at the directions. Later that night, my sister called me and asked how I liked the towel rack she sent me. I'm liking the ThermoSpas very much. I liked that there are so many jets and that you lie down in it instead of sitting down. It gets everywhere on your body.

I love my hot tub. I had backyard swimming pools previously, so I was familiar with pool chemistry. I know how to do water quality maintenance, so my water is sparkling and clear. I’m a civil engineer and a fairly technical, mechanical guy. I did some decent research and went with ThermoSpas because I appreciated the quality of their product. They aren’t the cheapest, but I certainly feel it’s worthwhile. I’m a Costco member, and I looked into the spas that Costco offers, and I could tell the difference. Besides that, with Costco, they drop it off at the curb and you’re on your own trying to get it into your backyard. With ThermoSpas, the installation was excellent. I’ve had the spa two months now and I have no regrets about the fact that I didn’t go for the cheap product. This is my first ever spa and I’m very pleased with it. Thermospas are a fraudulent company, they use high pressure tactics like “you can only get this deal tonight”. They bring brochures to your home that show different models than what you are actually buying. If you go to their website it shows the same models that are in the brochure but the salesman doesn’t tell you that you are actually getting a lower model with less features (jets).

When the salesman came to our house he showed us a brochure and we picked out the Atlantis model which in the brochure at 41 jets and we were told that was what we would be receiving. The picture showed jets in the back and in the seating and leg area. When our tub arrived it only had 14 jets and none in the seating or leg area at all and now the company claims that we didn’t want to spend the extra money on the jets so they sold us a lesser model…keep in mind that these lesser models are nowhere to be found in their brochures or on their website. So even if they say it will have less jets it would not be the same model because they don’t just take a couple of jets away from each area they take all of the jets away from the seating and the leg area so you literally get a completely different layout of jets that they don’t tell you about.

They claim that what we saw in their brochure was an Atlantis 400 and we ordered an Atlantis 200, we were never told of the differences between the two models and their brochure and website do not even show different models of the Atlantis so it is obvious that they are pitching one product and selling another.

We feel we have been lied to and misled and robbed of $8000 for a very inferior tub from what we were shown in the brochure and what we could have bought much cheaper elsewhere. They should take the tub back and refund our money. We will be seeking legal action against this fraudulent company that is robbing Americans of their hard earned money. They were very personable and they’re the ones I would refer somebody who’s shopping for a hot tub. I’d take my experience and try to share with other people.

This is our first hot tub ever and we’ve only had the opportunity to sit on it about four times. Our weather has been terrible. The size is just right for my wife and I. The jets and the lounge seemed to be stronger. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2004, and I’ve always got a constant pain in my muscles in my legs and neuropathy, part of Parkinson’s, and this is the first time since 2005 that I have been without pain. It’s not the cheapest hot tub but the professionalism that we’ve received from the salesperson makes up for that. Since we’ve gotten our hot tub, I’ve checked other places. In fact, we have a hot tub place, Caribbean Hot Tub & Pools, just right around the corner from our house. I went in there and theirs was a little bit higher for a hot tub with basic features. The outside of their hot tub, which was more like a thin vinyl siding wasn’t as sturdy as our Thermospas.

I like the warranty that ThermoSpas provided and it has always been fine with their representatives. I liked the way the Concord was designed and the amount of jets it had. You can turn it on and off certain jets. The light at nighttime is nice and the quality of the tub is so far, so good but I busted a buckle on it where you snap down the four sides. I’ve only used the tub maybe three times since I've had it. It’s been too cold outside. It’s nice when you’re in the tub but when you get out, you’re like an icicle.

A Swim Spa was an alternative to a swimming pool. It’s a much more health-focused option, which was why I purchased one and ThermoSpas has history, so I went with them. It's a good spa. The reps were professional, very forthcoming and very honest. However, ThermoSpas should probably have a rep come by once it’s installed to showcase some other details of the elements to keep it maintained correctly.

We got another one at another property, but it's the more upscale one and it's a bit better. I've talked to their reps several times and our interactions have been good. ThermoSpas has very good quality. We use it about three to four times a week. I got back issues and it really helps my back.

Been wanting a spa again. Been to the shows at the Big E in Springfield, MA. We went on their ThermoSpas hot tub website. Filled out a request. At one point we were able to look at the types of spa offered. We filled out the request. Got a call to set up a appt. It took two tries for the guy to show up. He missed the first appt. Called us 30 min after the appt to tell us he was not going to make it. He was in CT still. He wanted us to both be on site even though my wife didn't care as she will never use the tub. That pissed me off as she was forced to take off from work. We wanted just pricing. We know what we can afford or not. I do not think high pressure sales is right nor pushing us to finance if we want to pay cash. We just wanted pricing. But they want a site inspection before you think about buying. Push their way into your home.

It turns out there is no demo display tubs for us to look at. I really want powerful water jets not air jets. The guy just beat around the answers to our questions. This happened this past summer. We are looking at other options. I had also looked at the other reviews from around the country and it seems the sales and service dept. are issues. Now I know why we see these tubs just 3 to 5 years old on Craigslist for free or cheap with leaks etc. I tried to talk to management above that salesman and got nowhere by the way. We gave up. I have liked the swim tub and had it all picked out so I thought.

And the installers did good in doing everything. It has made us a little more relaxed. I haven't been in it in a couple of weeks because I had an accident, my foot has been cut open. And I was away for burying my mother right during the same time. One of the round corner piece was cracked, so they were supposed to send me another one. That was supposed to come quick. It was gonna get mailed to me, but we've been out and gone the last few weeks, so I haven't heard anything. I'm still waiting for that piece. I’ve always wanted a ThermoSpas Hot Tub. My husband has Parkinson’s and we both have arthritis really bad. I thought the Swim Spa would be great for us to exercise. It has where you can swim. It has everything that you can think of. The reps were so nice as well. If I had to call them about a question, everybody had been so sweet. It was also fantastic to watch them put in the tub because they had to bring it in by crane and lift it over my neighbor’s house. My neighbors can’t wait to get in it.

We haven't been able to use it yet. I’m going into the hospital to have an operation and my doctor told me I can’t get in it, so we haven't put water in it yet. But so far, we love it. We were out, uncovered it and checked it and made sure no rainwater gets in. There's a little bit of water in there, but I don’t think it’ll hurt anything. It was a beautiful experience. Everything went so smoothly.

We got one of their spas with a swim assist lane and with the ability to adjust jet flows. However, it disappointed me a little as when the reps talked about the spa, they said that it cleans itself so well. But then once it's cleaning, it's leaving a stain on the shell. I can see that green stain like algae. That disappointed me a little because that was not what I saw on TV and it was one of the reasons I chose ThermoSpas. Still, everybody at ThermoSpas was knowledgeable and they got back to us within a short time period about questions we had. With my spa, I feel more energetic. In my spa, I'm also able to exercise my shoulders when before I couldn't do that or do push-ups.

I was googling some Jacuzzis and ThermoSpas' information came up. It was the only one I looked into plus I really liked the person that came to my house. So, I purchased the Atlantis and I liked its affordability. Also, the size of it was sufficient for the price that I was spending on it, plus you got the extra jets on it. So, the way it was set up was nice. The installation crew was great as well. But when it first was delivered, there was a piece on the bottom that was either melted off or must have got messed up during transport because it wasn’t holding the water in. The water was just coming out. But they came out and fixed it, so it’s been working fine since then.

Other than that, the process of calling in the issue took way longer than I would like and the people I talked to weren’t as nice as the people who sold the product and the ones who came out, installed and fixed it. I also didn’t get a return phone call. It happened on a Friday and I didn’t talk to somebody until Monday, then they didn’t come out until Tuesday. Despite that, I enjoy my spa and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. It relaxes you and it hasn’t really been that cold out, so I’ve been able to use it more.

    Reviewed Dec. 28, 2019

We received our Thermospas hot tub in November 2019. So far the hot tub has been fine, but we really won’t be able to truly know the quality until we see how it stands up to the test of time. However, our experience otherwise has left a lot to be desired. From the high pressure sales tactics, to the lack of communication on the delivery process, and poor issue resolution, we’ve really had concerns throughout the process and have been left to feel that our concerns aren’t a high priority.

The process started with an online research into hot tub options, and within minutes after putting in a request for more information, someone was calling me to schedule an appointment. As we were still in the research phase, I was not expecting an in person appointment, but felt it could help to learn more about our options. What I didn’t expect was to be pressured to make a decision at that appointment in order to get the best deal. With promises that we could cancel within 3 days, we reluctantly agreed. After doing research, we stuck with our decision because it appears that the quality of Thermospas is well regarded. However, with our customer service experience, we have certainly regretted our decision.

To schedule a delivery, we received a text message to set up a delivery date. Once we confirmed that date via text, we had absolutely no other communication until the day of the delivery where we replied to our last text message to see if they were still coming. There was no call letting us know what to expect with the delivery process or what to prepare.

Our delivery then had several issues. First off, during the sale process, we were told to make sure that the electrical work was set up prior to the delivery so that the hot tub was delivered so that it could be setup with delivery. Our sales rep was clear that the delivery team would not be electricians, but being first time hot tub owners it was not clear to us that additional electrical work needed to be done to go from the hot tub to the outlet, which is something a delivery preparation call could’ve covered. As a result, we had to pay an electrical service charge for someone to come install the external outlet and then a second service charge for them to connect the outlet to the hot tub. We ended up paying almost double for something that could’ve been handled with one visit. Knowing this now, it doesn't make sense as to why electrical work prior to delivery is emphasized throughout the process and with the provided documentation.

To make matters worse, the hot tub was delivered with a scratch on it. Also, all the delivery team did was drop off the tub with a box of chemicals and went on their way. As this was our first time owning a tub, we had a lot of questions about maintenance, how to install the tub, etc, and were left with no orientation as to what was delivered.

We then shared our concerns with customer service. While our concerns were initially heard and we felt that steps were being taken to resolve them, we quickly realized that it was going to be up to us to follow up. We were promised a technician to come out to correct the scratch and give us a complete overview of our tub. The technician then came out to correct the scratch. While the scratch was buffed out, we are now left with a larger section that does not blend with other parts of the shell. While it’s a relatively cosmetic issue, we would expect with such a large purchase that we receive a product without initial flaws. Also that in depth overview of the hot tub that was promised, never occurred. It was up to us to ask specific questions that we have experienced so far, and being new to hot tub maintenance, we weren’t sure all of the questions to ask.

We expected a call after the repairs were complete to follow up, and due to being busy with the holidays, we didn’t immediately follow up. After 3 weeks, it was up to us to follow up with customer service for resolution on our concerns. Several weeks after our initial follow up, we were told by customer service that they now had the information needed and someone from management would be contacting us to address our concerns. That was 2 weeks ago and after several follow ups, we still have not received resolution or any indication that our satisfaction is of any concern to the company. As we have given them ample opportunities to follow up and convey that our concerns matter to them, we feel that our only options are to share details of our experiences so that others may not make the same mistakes that we have.

The most frustrating aspect of buying a hot tub, at least here in Hawaii is the difficulties of receiving straight answers about its costs. All hot tub seller makes you jump through an obstacle course of sign up, registration, promotions asking your personal data without actually giving you the most basic information any consumer needs to make a decision: how much it costs! What we discovered was that most hot tub retail in Hawaii will increase the value of any hot tub for sale adding up to over charge up to 4500 USD of shipping on top of the cost of the hot tub. So a 8000 USD hot tub will now cost you 12500 USD. An alternative is to buy a casco or similar cheap hot tub for 5000 and throw it way in a couple of years.

Considering what the costs and the dynamics of what we now call the “hot tub mafia”, after researching and considering all our hot tub options we chose to invest in quality so we looked at ThermoSpa. I contacted them via website, Selected the product we were interested on, listed the upgrades, put my address, all contact info and send my request in 3 times before I got an email back. That email, which I received weeks after did not included any of the informations I asked nor costs. It contained a general email and a phone number I had to call. This sadly is typical “hot tub mafia” behavior, annoying, but I called back.

Once on the phone the person that wrote me that email had no record of any of my requests and I had to go through the process ALL OVER AGAIN. At that point I was very frustrated and before he could even start the long process of buttering me up I stop him on his track and ask him, “Please before we can start any conversation I need to know the cost for ** model of hot tub with ** of upgrades, I can talk bus is in vague lines let’s put some number down”. Even after that I was given a vague range of costs but at least I had something to work with.

Leaving in Hawaii I’m aware that not all companies ship to the islands, so I ask him if they ship Hawaii. I was told of course that they don’t ship to Hawaii. I asked if I could handle the shipment my self instead. The answer was that I could not, as long as I had an Hawaiian address he could not sell me any hot tub or products. Finally he suggested me to contact Sundance or Jacuzzi.

    1) If your company cannot sell to Hawaii why waste my time filling up a form with all my contact informations and all the hot tub specifics. Create a alert on the site or list shipping restriction on your site.
    2) If a future client takes the time to fill up your requested information, product specifics and give his/her address and contact information to receive a quote SEND A QUOTE not a general email. While you at it, since you have the address on file Inform hi/her about your shipping restrictions.

3)What kind of surreal (hot tub mafia) runs this business and what is the deal with Hawaii hot tub Monopoli?

We purchase a hot tub in Europe and none of this madness was part of it. Overall I would love to able to buy an ThermoSpa over Sundance or Jacuzzi but apparently I’m not allowed.

We ordered our hot tub in early July and needed to delay delivery until September due to landscaping work that was being designed and done, including a pad for the tub. A few days before the anticipated delivery date we received a call to confirm the date and time, which we did. The day before the delivery, I received a call to confirm the delivery date and time (5:00 pm), which I did confirm (As an aside, the rep brought up the "certified funds" requirement, which was the first time I had heard that. It was not a big deal for me since I used a credit card, but it did seem a little late in the game to be hearing about it).

On the delivery day, I was at work and received a call around 10:45 am and the delivery personnel told me that the tub will be delivered around 12:30. I told him that we are confirmed for 5:00, when I could be home. He then asked if he could "drop it off" and come back at 6:30 pm to place. I said sure. At around 7:00, I received a call that he was about two hours away and he could still come that night or the next day. After a brief conversation, we agreed that 6:00 am the next morning would be okay.

Fast forward to delivery, all went okay but there were not steps that were ordered with the tub. After reaching out to the salesman and customer service, I was told that the steps were on "back order." That's pretty ridiculous given that the tub was ordered with steps in early July. In addition, after the delivery, I was asked if I wanted a followup call from customer service and I replied that I did. I'm still waiting on that call. By the way the tub is pretty nice.

I will absolutely never recommend this company and only gave 1 star because I had to. While the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and even arranged a personal showing of a similar hot tub in their Wallingford CT site, everything since them taking final payment has been horrendous. Issues so far: Hot tub delivered on 9/16. Went to start hot tub following start-up instructions, filters were missing. I was told by Customer Service that the filters would arrive overnight, they showed up two days later. I was provided with 6 months of chemicals for the inconvenience. On the same day I also reported to the sales rep that one of the side panels was discolored and was told that it would be taken care of.

Leak#1 – Upon starting the hot tub on 9/18 the GFCI would trip every time a pump was turned on. I opened the base of the tub to find the entire inside completely saturated and could hear dripping throughout the compartment. On 9/19 the technician (incredibly professional) found multiple leaks and two manufacturing defects. The gentleman was here for over 6 hours and didn’t leave until almost 7:30 pm on a Friday night. He looked frustrated on multiple times during his visit, and you could read the disgust on his face over the quality of the “new” product.

Leak#2 - On 9/23 I spoke with the service director (incredibly unprofessional) to report that the unit continued to leak throughout the weekend and to share my concerns related to the quality of the unit. I suggested that perhaps a replacement would be appropriate, especially considering the price that we paid but was told that it is “normal for spas to leak and that is what warranties are for.”

On 9/24 another technician came out and found additional leaks. Continuing to voice my frustration with the service director over the lack of quality of this unit I was passed on to a service manager on 9/26 who told me the unit shipped from CA and things come loose. He offered me a $250 discount and another 6 months of chemicals. I shared with him that at this point a 1.5% discount and more chemicals would not be a sufficient remedy for receiving a hot tub that is the equivalent of a lemon. I also requested that the insulation panels that have been damaged due to multiple repair openings be replaced and the discolored panel first reported on 9/16 be addressed. I have yet to hear anything.

Leak#3 – Today (10/1) I called Customer Service to share that there is still water coming from the base of the hot tub. A technician will be out “in the area” on 10/15. So I guess the internal wood (not pressure treated) components are designed to be exposed to water for the better part of a month?

If you gotta go in there to do work on something, you'd have to cut all that foam and insulation out. Over time, sitting outside, that’s also a habitat for bugs. With ThermoSpas, I also like the construction, the quality, the warranty and the easy setup. You can also pick your color, how many jets you want and where you want them, and how many pumps you want.

The salesman was wonderful too. I had so many questions and I’m sure I asked the same ones over and over but he never lost a beat with it. He took his time. Afterwards, they even came out here and followed up. They've also called since then. They called the day before and on the day of, they were running 30 minutes behind but they called and told me where they were. These people were absolutely wonderful.

Having the hot tub has been exhilarating. It’s been very nice. You get what you pay for in a lot of things and you can tell how well this thing is put together, in terms of the construction and everything on it. It has temperature control and you can design the tub to have the jets you want on. If you just have two people in it, you can just have those two jets running and turn the others off. There are also light features and I like the ease of getting in and out. The tub even has a center thing on the back that's like a cooler. You can put ice and drinks in so you can hold it while you’re out there and you don’t have to get in and out. That has been very nice.

I wanted more of a water exercise instead of just a hot tub so I went with ThermoSpas. I got information online and then, I had a salesman come to the house. He was really excellent. We got the Aquacisor model, so it's deeper and there's room to do a little water walk or water exercise, instead of just sitting in the hot tub. It has been amazing so far. It's expensive, but for me, it's worth it. I'm handicapped and I need to be in the water.

My husband did research and he preferred what he was seeing with ThermoSpas. The rep that we dealt with had a good one-on-one personality, and a little bit of sense of humor. It's a small, not too terribly deep hot tub, and the jets are just right. My husband has a little problem with his chest and the tub we had before was too deep and it put too much pressure on his chest, but this ThermoSpas tub does not. Everything seems to be going just fine. It's a fair trade.

I've watched ThermoSpas' promo on television for years and years and years, and I felt comfortable going with them. The first contact person that came out and explained everything reassured of what I had heard on the television. And then, the guys that delivered it were really good. It was a little difficult but they got it in. They didn’t stop. The tub is easy and comfortable for me to use because I live alone and just following the safety precautions. I haven't had any problems reading directions, making myself really familiar with using the chemicals and what reaction to look for. The quality and the price is okay. The one feature I wanna add is the automatic cleaning filtration system. When I got the tub, I didn’t get it then, but I told them I would like to add that on later and they said it could be done. I would recommend ThermoSpas.

I've been in there a couple times, and I'm happy with it. I was impressed with the guys who delivered and installed the hot tub. They were extremely helpful. The hot tub is pretty simple. It's roomy and it's been maintaining the water the way it's supposed to. The salesman talked me into the cover handle, and that makes a big difference. The tub does everything that I was looking forward to do, and I'm happy with it. The quality is above my expectations.

The following week of Friday after 5:pm someone called and stated that I was to have a cashier check for the balance of 7500.00 because my spa was being delivered tomorrow Saturday. I then told them the balanced was being financed thru Wells Fargo. The lady told me she has no record and that I would have to wait until Monday to call and get things worked out. I said, "If I don't get my spa tomorrow cancelled the order as ya'll have pushed back the delivery date 3 times."

She then told me that I would not get my down payment back and I said, "We will see." Monday came and I spoke with the salesman that initially came out. He guaranteed that I would have my spa Friday and I told him, "Ya'll keep pushing the delivery date back. If it's not here Friday because we are now in the month of August I will cancel." Friday came and went and no spa was delivered, I received my credit from Credit card down payment but Thermospas is keeping the charge open with the financing company. This transaction has been 4 months now and I have not been contacted from any Thermospas representative in this matter. Just received text threats that I won't see my deposit back.

We had a salesman that had just started with ThermoSpas Hot Tubs and didn't have a lot of knowledge or education about the product. From what he told us, we thought that we were getting the best one we could buy for a markable deal. When we got it, it's a nice tub, but it doesn't have all the jets that we were expecting. Plus, it was never tested to make sure it was up and going correctly on installation. There was never a follow-up with anyone and I’ve been dealing with the spa company to get the water corrected in it so it works right.

We’ve only had to contact him once about how to do the chemical but before we purchased, he always answered our questions and he was willing to come by. He was really good. The quality of the hot tub is great too but we don’t like that the bubbler seems to be a little strong. The lowest adjustment is still like we're sitting in a pot of boiling water. The access to the pump is much better and it is protected better than the previous one, so we're good. The delivery was a little difficult but it was settled and we’re totally satisfied with using the hot tub. The real flexibility in adjusting the jets in that is a neat feature. I liked it so much and I was without a hot tub for a year. I'm old now, I'm retired and I need something to keep my body going. The other hot tub I had was a ThermoSpas also. So, I figured, why not go with a good thing. I got the whole deluxe package with 91 jets and six pumps. It’s great. Everyone from the ThermoSpas team who called was as kind and knowledgeable as could be. Everything went very well and I'm very happy with the spa. I liked the quality. It's excellent. I also liked the testimonials that I listened to. The jets were the biggest thing though. They have a lot more jets than most other spas - twice as many. Ours has 62 jets while most tubs of the same size only have 30 or 32.

We had the salesman come out here and we went through everything that he showed us. He then checked the location and where we wanted the spa. The spa helps me out tremendously, especially with my neck and my lower back in the shape it’s in. When I get out of that thing, I feel 100% better than before I got into it. She stayed in contact and was flexible to work with me. The installation went good. The only thing that was a little bumpy along the way is I didn’t realize that the cover lifter was supposed to be mailed directly to me separately, and I didn’t get that until later. But we had changed the delivery date on the spa which was probably why I didn’t get that ‘til after. That was just installed this morning.

I wanted to get a hot tub, but I didn’t want it to be just anybody because if you don’t have a specialized company, you’re running into problems. I heard a ThermoSpas commercial on a radio station one day when I was working out, and so I did my research. I called them, left a message and they returned my phone call, and then we set up the salesman to come out. Then I watched the tutorials that they gave me. We could get a cheaper unit but the the way it’s built to protect against bugs, if there are any issues, there’s no installation so it’d be easy to find the problem. Being that I have a family of electricians, they said the unit was solid. The Concord Silver has over 50 jets and a portable floating bar. I'm a massage therapist, so I don’t have time to get massages. This was one of the main reasons I did research on the therapeutic effects and benefits of a hot tub. Also, I was impressed with the salesman who came over and gave us all our options.

Unfortunately, my brother was a little bit upset. We were trying to decide how to turn the spa and where to put the steps, and my brother was figuring out all the dimensions of the cement and the deck. We called up the salesperson and he said, “You could put those steps anywhere on any side and enter the hot tub.” The day the hot tub was delivered, we wanted the steps closest to the exit of the foyer from the porch. The manager that was there delivering it said, “You can't enter from this way. You’ll slip and fall inside the tub. You have to enter where the other stairs are where the portable bar is.” We had to push the hot tub and now it’s not centered, it’s pushed more to the right. Still the delivery was exceptional. They weren’t in a hurry to drop it off and force it through the gate. We thought we were gonna have to remove the gate, but we got it through. The guys were really good about, “Let’s work through it. We’ll get it done.” And the manager was great.

I went for ThermoSpas more by comparison on what I saw, and what was offered, and the construction of the product itself. I like the way it was made and the way the interior was constructed, that it wasn’t filled with styrofoam, that it was insulated, and able to get to all the mechanisms inside if it needed repair. We have the lighting, jets and it’s the five-seat spa. The delivery process was over-the-top. They did a excellent job. And that’s one of the areas that I felt I was more concerned with based on some of the feedback that I saw, as far as reviews. And they exceeded my expectation when they came to do the set up. All around from beginning to end, I had no issues.

I was a first time spa owner and once it got installed I had to get it hooked up by my electrician, so it wasn’t filled when he left. I was left to my own to try to figure out how to handle the chemicals. When they left they said, “Okay. Once disconnected, you fill it up.” And I got the chemicals, and they gave me the sheet, and it explained how to use the chemicals, but they still leave some things to the imagination. So, if anything, I think that could be enhanced.

But I’m still learning. It’s only been a little more than a month since it was delivered. It took about a week to get the electrician to come back to do the hookup. I’m still trying to figure out to make sure that I have the right chemical setup and it's difficult if you’re not familiar with either having a pool or a hot tub. You need to know the pH levels and the alkalinity, and understand how to balance it. But once you get the hang of that, then it’s fine. Nonetheless, enjoyment-wise ThermoSpas has been positive. I have a 13-year-old son and he’s been pretty much utilizing it more so than me. And most of it with his friends.

A guy delivered it and my husband did the electrics. It was hard work for him because he's elderly and he's got some health issues. It took him several days to get it all completed. If I thought sensibly about it, I would have hired an electrician to come do it because it would have been done probably in a couple of hours, but it's fine. It all worked out.

So far, the tub seems to be really, really good quality. We've been happy with it. We had no issue at all when we set it up. We put the ozonator on so we could use less chemicals. We also have 1 waterfall included and a few extra jets put on. Since it's been started up, we've used it pretty much everyday. It made our life more fun and relaxing. It's a nice thing to do at the end of the day when you're tired and wanna get ready for bed, and just sit in the tub and chill out for a little bit. It was an absolutely positive experience with ThermoSpas. The only issue that we did have was when we ordered it, they promised delivery within 5 to 6 weeks. We’ve had the pumps and heater all replaced in the last few years and the repairman said Thermo Spas are the easiest to work on because they don’t have all the foam sprayed inside it and it’s easier to get at the parts. Hence saving money on repairs for us! They are well insulated and we feel our electric bill is not that much more than it would otherwise be. The shell is very durable, easy to clean and is not slippery at all. We have the lift on the cover which makes it so easy for one person to open and provides privacy on one side. We drain it once a year, clean the shell and it’s good to go. Once a week water testing and adjusting the pH is easy. I’m in it several times a week all year round - in Wisconsin! I've decided to leave a review as I sit here on hold with Thermospas support line (on hold now for over 10 minutes). This is completely consistent with the poor service and mismanagement of my sale from the very beginning. If you want the short version, stear clear of this company. They will lie to you, ignore you, then tell you they "do not take returns."

The longer version is I ordered my Park Avenue Diamond spa ($16K) and was told it would be delivered, installed, setup, and then I would be instructed on how to take care of it. I was told 5 to 6 weeks, which would have had the spa installed somewhere between 3/3/2019 and 3/10/2019. Ha! Three weeks later (grossly missing the "antipated delivery time"), the spa showed up with a third-party install crew. They were super polite and very tired from their drive, and they said they had received no site specifics and wanted to know where it needed to go. Even though I had provided pictures and dimensions, the install crew had nothing. Considering the spa had to be lifted over a fence, this means they could not install it. So what did they do? They dropped it in the yard and left.

3 weeks later, after flailing about with a disinterest support staff, I called a crane company and installed it myself. Finally, more than double the time I was promised, I finally had a spa. But it had broken side panel. It was missing jets. And of course, nobody had been there to explain how to use it, so I've spent tens of hours trying to learn everything. I called support several weeks ago and explained what was broken and missing, and they said they'd send the replacement parts and send a technician to install them. Plus the technician would install the spa lifter that came with the spa (uninstalled). Finally, they said they would figure out where the steps that I ordered and had yet to be delivered were. That was weeks ago and I've have no heard nor seen anybody from Thermospas.

And that is why I (still) am waiting on hold for service. This entire review was written while waiting on hold. I promise you this, the people at this company do not care about you, and they won't give you your money back and drag away their garbage once they have you! If you are reading this, that means you are a smart enough consumer to check-out reviews before you buy. Go get a Hot Springs Spa. Or Sundance. Or even a Jacuzzi. Better yet, go to Home Depot and get a spa from them, you'll pay 1/3rd the cost of Thermospas and you'll have a company that will at least try to make you happy.

I watched it and then I made a call and we went from there. We purchased the Manhattan since it was similar in size with the spa that we were replacing. And it has a variety of seats that you can sit in. It also has a large capacity for people, and yet you would still feel very cozy and comfortable. Working with ThermoSpas' customer service team was outstanding. I originally wanted to get the CD and brochure when I called. And then, they set up a guy to come out and talk to us about it. He was excellent and not pushy at all. The follow-up service has been great too.

Our delivery had to be delayed by two months because we're having deck construction going on. There was no problem rescheduling it. In fact, the hot tub was delivered by two men and a woman and they were very nice. Since I was home, I offered to help. The first thing they gave me was a clipboard with a piece of paper to sign on it, and on that paper, it said that I was not to help at all. It got me worried. I thought that if this thing tips over off their dolly, it's gonna go right back to the factory. But the delivery people did a great job positioning it where we wanted it. Everything worked out fine. One of the construction workers found a chipped piece on a corner. So I called ThermoSpas and they did not ask any questions. They didn't even want any proof or pictures. They sent a replacement piece immediately and that was very impressive.

In addition to that, before we hooked up the tub electrically, we had it covered since there was so much rain. One day, I looked inside the hot tub to make sure everything was good and by lifting the lid, I could tell that there was a lot of water. I called ThermoSpas' customer service and told them about it. After I sent pictures, as well as a video showing the water dripping, they told me that a new cover is on its way. It arrived about a week later so it was great. All in all, it took at least two months from delivery to hookup. We had the tub covered most of the time due to the other construction works going on. But when we had a big party and our grandkids were here, they thoroughly loved the hot tub.

The reps of ThermoSpas Hot Tubs came and talked to me. The quality of their product seemed to be good, so I thought of giving them a try over some of the other brands and I purchased the Concord tub model from them. The team at ThermoSpas have been great to work with. The installation of the tub wasn't difficult and didn’t take very long. But the installation was sourced out by ThermoSpas to a different company, so that was the part that was a bit rocky for me. The person that delivered the tub wound up doing things a little quicker and was not the best at explaining things. But now that the tub has been installed, it is of excellent quality and I love it. I like its size which meets my needs and I love the jets. The tub makes me feel a lot better. It definitely takes away a lot of pain that I have in my back and feet. Also, I sleep better after using it. It is well worth the purchase.

We have had our Thermospa for a little under a year. It truly is relaxing and the jets provide a deep relaxing massage. That said, I’m disappointed in the overall quality of the hot tub. These hot tubs are very expensive, but you don’t get what you pay for. We have had to call and have it serviced 3 times in less than a year. So far, we have had to replace leaky a pressure handle, 2 foot jets that broke and we rarely ever even adjusted, and now we are dealing with electrical problems that are causing the control panel not to respond and one of the pumps is intermittently blowing on its own, while the other jets will not even turn on. I’m so disappointed that we have had so many issues this early on. I will not buy another Thermospa.

The ThermoSpas Hot Tubs salesman, Scott, came to the house and he told us all about their product. He was as nice as he could be and he answered all our questions. He even had me go through the process of building the spa myself. He gave me different options and he told me to choose which one I love and that was what we did. He was fantastic and I couldn't ask for a better sales rep. He even gave me two little rubber ducks to put in the tub. He also helped us with the paperwork. The customer service was awesome.

We got the Manhattan and there were about six people who came for the installation because the spa was so big. They had it set up in no time and the guy that was in charge of them pulled us over and explained everything to us. He even had us do this and that to make sure we knew what we were doing and he told us all about the chemicals. While he was talking to us, he called the rest of the boys and told them to clean up because cardboard and plastic were everywhere when they were taking the tub apart and putting everything in. They cleaned up everything. At the end of it, it wound out being built just like I wanted it to be.

The tub is fully loaded. It has 174 jets and it's wonderful. I like the ones that come out by my neck. I love its color. It matches my patio. I love the lights that are in there and also the size of the tub. I can have friends over. The wave is the biggest thing. My boyfriend is 6'4" and he fits from one end to the other. He has arthritis and back problems but when he gets in the tub, he just melts because it feels so good. The wave really massages his back. Plus, the tub requires hardly any maintenance on it whatsoever. My experience with ThermoSpas was wonderful.

He showed up 45 minutes late. I tried to be understanding. I then listened to two hours of presentation (I was told it would take 60 minutes when it was scheduled). Part of what took so long was he had to call three other salesmen to get answers to our questions. The answers he was given was later contradicted by paperwork he had.

We were presented with paperwork showing a model swim spa that had 4 or 6 pumps and were given prices for each model. We were asked to write a check so we would get the discounts available only at the time of the first visit. We said we needed answers to our questions and requested he email us the quote and contract. We received the info the next day and the quote was the same but the model the contract was for only had 2 pumps and further contradictory information. I was told I needed to call someone else to get more information. I am done wasting my time. Buyer Beware! Don’t fall for this!

ThermoSpas has an excellent reputation. My husband has a bad back, so the one we purchased has an extra massage option for medical therapy. It’s good for him because you can just jump in and it’s ready to go. You don’t have to wait for it to be heated up. He feels it does help his back. The representative we dealt with was very nice during the sales process. Any time we had any issues after that, the whole process took a long time to actually get it inspected for use. He was quick with his text responses. Installation was fine, however, whoever we used dropped it onto the ground from the truck. But he checked and he said there was nothing wrong with it.

The one thing I don’t like about it is, we have a Maui Gold, and the panel to turn everything on, but the panel is small. It’s actually hard for my husband to press it. You have to press it a couple of times. It has menus, but it’s very small. So, he actually said, if he had seen what the panel was like, he wouldn’t have bought it because it is 10 grand. So, he was very disappointed in the size of the panel. The book we got was a little bit outdated. A guy from ThermoSpas I called sent me a more current book in terms of how to adjust the jets. It wasn’t really clear that you actually had to turn on the jets manually, ‘cause they were closed and opened. That was not in the manual, and I thought that was not very helpful. I, nevertheless, spoke to a tech, and he instructed me on what to do.

I’m pleased with my experience with ThermoSpas Hot Tubs. I’ve heard of ThermoSpas for a while and I’ve seen them advertised for years, so I just went with someone who's been in the industry, what I considered the longest that I knew of. We’ve owned a hot tub before and I like the size and some of the features that are on ThermoSpas Hot Tubs. The way the one seat is set up, it works out perfectly for my wife and it can hold four people. I’m not a small person, so that was important since it can hold four people my size. That was the size and the features that we were looking for. Our only battle at the moment is how to keep the water right because that’s new to us.

Putting the spa in was not difficult at all. I had the backyard set up, their installers came in and they were out of here in three hours. When I built the hot tub slab, I built it up a little bit, about 2 inches above the ground, because they said, “You gotta be concerned about water damage and maybe water staying on the top of the ground.” The hot tub itself is 37 inches tall. And all of a sudden, you gotta climb over the top to get in. So, I’m looking for stair systems that I can have an easier access entry into the hot tub. I just have to have something specially made. Both of my knees have been replaced and one has been replaced twice. My ankle has been replaced too. I have serious orthopedic concerns and the hot tub helps with all of my aches and pains, and I use it twice a day. A couple people just asked about where I got the tub and what it is and I’ve already recommend ThermoSpas.

I received my $10k hot tub recently and appears to be great quality. The delivery team departed from the path needed to deliver the tub after all tasks had been completed and parked the crane machine on my septic system causing critical damage to system. Delivery crew acknowledged they caused damage and just said "well you might wanna have someone come out" then "you might wanna call ThermoSpas".

I contacted ThermoSpas who stated they will not fix any of the damage and that they are not responsible for any delivery damage. All they could offer was product. Which I thought would be earned either way after spending $10k and having any problem arise. Not satisfied with the way ThermoSpas has dealt with this issue or I should say did not deal with at all. I will not be receiving "product" because I would rather have my septic system fixed as I deserve.

During this time the temperature was in the single digits with wind chills minus 20 to 30. When the power came back on I went out to restart the hot tub and to my surprise it had already restarted. We saw ThermoSpas' commercial on TV and tried to get a brochure. Our brochure turned into someone coming to the house. The rep was very good. We were not planning on buying a spa that day at all. Before he walked in, we said we were not buying anything. Then three hours later, we bought an $18,000 spa. We like the size and therapy of that particular model. Its quality is very good and we’re enjoying it so far. My husband had a crick in his neck Saturday and we got in the tub Saturday night. When we got out, it was gone.

I was doing a little bit of researching and looking around. There were about four or five tub models from ThermoSpas that looked like they were at the top of the line. However, the issue is there are different types of programming modes on how you wanna heat your tub, and the standard is basically whatever you set it at. It keeps it at that for forever, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s an economy mode where the heater doesn’t engage. There are two windows you can set, and if it’s not within that window, the heater stays off to save from this heating in off hours.

In any event, last week, for the first time, I turned to the economy mode, and I was told by ThermoSpas that the default is something like 6:00 to 8:00 in the morning and 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening where it’ll likely heat up the water with the economy mode. I noticed after that, it started to get warmer, and all of a sudden, it was up to 107 degrees, and I don’t know what the heck happened. I kept pressing the button to display the temperature, the setting and it was still set at the same setting that it had been all along.

So I wind up turning all the pumps on and took the cover off. What I wound up doing was I just turned the circuit breaker off to it, and let it sit off for maybe half an hour and then turned it back on and put it back in standard mode, and it has been consistent since then. It’s set for 101 degrees and it stayed at that temperature since. I honestly don’t know if turning it into the economy mode did something or if the thermometer in turn that turns the heater on and off has an issue or what. And I don’t know if when it goes into economy mode if there’s another temperature setting that I’m unaware of. I thought it was still gonna be set at the same 101 temperature that I have.

Nevertheless, the overall quality of the spa is very nice. But the disappointing thing for me is I bought this Park Avenue one and it’s got like a lounge in there, and I asked the salesman, and I don’t know if he misunderstood me but I’m 6 foot 6, so I don’t fit in things like the normal Joe. And I don’t fit there in the lounge. My knees got to be bent up. I’m too long for it. The rep measured my back and there is one seat there that has three seats and each one is at a different level. There was a deep one, which I do fit in that, and the rep even said that it's good. I’ve also been looking at purchasing some chemicals and it looks the prices are insane. But like ThermoSpas' extended warranty. They have a better warranty than any other that I sought. If their warranty is much longer than anyone else, then it’s got to be quality stuff.

I've had Hot Spring, three in a row and the experience was flawless. Then I buy a ThermoSpas. They sold the size of spa I wanted and the price was right. But I have two issues in a month, where it goes completely dead. It's the second time since they delivered it and I'm very disappointed. The tub has been down more than it's been up.

The first time the tech came he couldn't find anything wrong with it. He said, "There's power." I said, "Well, it ain't running." He started fiddling with it and it came on. I said, "What did you do?" He said, "I don't know." And I said, "Well, that's not good." It's not a power issue. It tripped the breaker and the breaker will not reset, so there was something shorted in the tub. It's frustrating. I would not recommend them to anybody.

While all models of ThermoSpas are built very well, my wife was partial to the Park Avenue model because of the way the feet came up. I also like the ultimate seats in it. In addition, their salesman was very informative and keyed me in on what to look at when I went to other places. So far, I'm pleased with the ThermoSpas spa. But I'm having an issue with the blower not coming on when the pumps are on. Also, I had issues with the chemicals. The salesman said he'd come and take a look at it and also help me get the chemicals right once he comes back from his vacation.

I had a ThermoSpas a few years back, and I liked the product. They stand out better than a lot of them that I had. I got a hot tub that has 100 jets in it, and I had a good time with the ThermoSpas team when I purchased it. I’m waiting for the electrician to come and do the wiring. Maybe the book will tell me everything. I didn’t get a chance to really get through it yet. But it tells you chemical-wise how much of this or so much of that to put in. Overall, my ThermoSpas is a good-looking unit.

My neighbor had ThermoSpas and I asked him about it. He introduced me to his salesperson, Butch, who was awesome and very detailed. The Concord model seemed to be the right fit to me with the capability and price range. I got the one with the bubbles and I liked the size which fits five people. I picked out the things that I liked such as the number of jets that it had on it, the number of pumps and even all the way down to where I put it in my backyard. The spa got here right in the middle of December and once I got it wired to the house, I used it the same day. I've been sleeping well since using it and all in all, it was a good purchase and I'm happy.

Would never recommend that anyone buy a hot tub from ThermoSpas. Would give zero stars but am not allowed by this site. We placed an order with ThermoSpas on 29 Sep 2018 for a hot tub for our family of 6. Since the salesman said that the hot tub would be delivered in 8-9 weeks, we figured that it would be an early Christmas present for the kids. We couldn't have been more wrong! We received an email on 25 Oct 2018 stating that our hot tub would arrive the week of 03 Dec 2018 to 07 Dec 2018. That week arrived and we hadn't received any further word from ThermoSpas.

When I contacted Mr. Adrean ** (no last name or direct contact information was provided for this employee...this is a big red flag that they don't like to speak with customers) regarding our delivery status, he informed me that the hot tub wouldn't even be shipped until 05 Dec 2018, but that the warehouse would contact me when it arrived (after 7-10 days of shipping). No reason was given for the delay. After 10 days, I didn't receive any calls regarding our hot tub. I contacted Adrean ** again and he said that I would receive a call either later that day on 14 Dec 2018 (Fri) or on 17 Dec 2018 (Mon). No call came. On 18 Dec 2018, I tried to contact ThermoSpas again and some poor guy who repairs the hot tubs was stuck listening to me complain because the delivery team doesn't answer their phone or return messages.

On 19 Dec 2018, we were finally contacted by someone from the delivery contractor who said that delivery could occur either 26 or 28 Dec 2018 (Wed or Fri) depending on the availability of a crane and that they would confirm. We did not receive any confirmation. We found out that a delivery attempt would be made when a frontend-loader (forklift) was delivered to the front of our house at 7 am the day after Christmas (26 Dec 2018). We figured that it's late, but at least our out-of-town guests would get to see the hot tub before the holidays were over. Wrong again!

After making an assessment, the delivery crew foreman told my husband that the forklift would probably tear up our side yard (where was the mystery crane that we were waiting on confirmation about?); however, we weren't given any options other than that they would take the hot tub back to the warehouse. (The salesman had taken measurements and pictures back on 29 Sep 2018 and the path that the delivery crew was going to use with the forklift was completely different from what was stated in our contract.) In order to get the hot tub to our back deck, the foreman told my husband that we'd have to cut down a small tree (which my husband did on the spot). The delivery foreman blamed the salesman for not knowing how these hot tubs get delivered.

The massive forklift got stuck in the soft earth of our side yard and didn't make it close to our deck (guess that we didn't need to cut down that tree after all!). The foreman damaged his pick up truck while trying to pull the forklift out of the mud. Our salesman had asked us to call him when the hot tub was going to be delivered because he said that he would be there for delivery if possible. I had contacted him and he showed up just when the awfulness of the forklift getting stuck happened. I bet he was sorry that he agreed to show up. He also pointed a finger elsewhere saying that he was told 8-9 weeks for delivery (it was Week 13 at the time). No one in this company or affiliated contractors takes responsibility for anything. The delivery crew couldn't move the hot tub or the forklift. We were told that a larger truck would pull the forklift out of our yard on the next day and that the hot tub would once again have to return to the warehouse.

The next day, the delivery crew still couldn't extract the forklift without first dropping our hot tub on the ground a few times (I have video of this) and crushing a bush in the process (the hot tub probably won't work even if it does ever get delivered). (No larger truck was brought to extract the forklift as was previously stated. It is difficult to keep up with their ever-changing story.) They needed to get the back wheels of the forklift onto our driveway for traction (it cracked our asphalt in the process). Then, they dug up underneath our yard to recapture the hot tub to extract it (we won't find out if they've destroyed our sprinkler system until the Spring).

The "delivery" crew finally managed to extract the hot tub and we were told that in the New Year, we would get a call once they managed to get a hold of a crane, which is what they should have used in the first place. Today, 08 Jan 2019, my husband contacted Adrean ** regarding the delivery status of our hot tub (On 26 Dec 2018, when my husband called Adrean ** to tell him about the damage done to our property during the delivery attempt. He told my husband that he would keep us in the loop, hasn't happened. He also told us he would have to speak with a supervisor regarding any restitution, which hasn't happened.) On 08 Jan 2019, Adrean ** told my husband once again that they were waiting on confirmation for a crane.

We are wondering if we'll receive our hot tub by Christmas 2019 and if it will actually function or be in a million pieces after being dropped to the ground a bunch of times by the delivery crew. We do know that ThermoSpas has had our down payment for over 3 months. We would feel even more foolish right now if we had paid for the entire thing up front. Thank goodness that we didn't do that. At this rate, I don't think we'll ever see the hot tub or our money again and no one at ThermoSpas cares. The delivery team said that the salesman's timeframe of 8-9 weeks was unrealistic and the salesman blames the delivery team for the property damage to our yard. Pointing the finger at each other does nothing for our family though. Again, no one at this company has taken any responsibility for this disaster. Would never recommend that anyone buy a hot tub from ThermoSpas.

A buddy of mine in New York owns a ThermoSpas Hot Tubs Park Avenue model and we really liked it. The number of jets, the ozone appealed to us and the fact that we don’t have to change the water because I have hard water here and I have to treat my water. Working with the people at ThermoSpas has been great. They follow-up with a phone call or an email and they want to check and see how things are going. I talked to the guy the after the install because when they initially delivered it and got it here, they sent the wrong cover. The guy said, “Well, I’ll be here the day after Christmas to change it out,” and he did, “and I’ll have the correct cover on there.” So, all that was done per my conversation with the installer.

Also, an issue that I’m having with the tub right now is that the plugs where the air bubbler system is tend to keep popping out from day one. I discussed this with a guy at ThermoSpas. He sent me some new ones, but I haven’t put them in yet because they’re screw-ins. I don’t know if that’s the solution or not. The jets are so strong it unthreads them and unscrews them itself. Just to check it out, I screwed them all the way back down and six of them popped out. I screwed them all back down, I turned the air bubbler system on and in a minute three of them were almost unthreaded back out again.

They need to come up with another solution there as far as that thing is concerned. It’s a $16,000 tub. I shouldn’t have to be screwing stuff down. But overall, I’m happy with the tub. No matter where you sit in the hot tub, it’s very relaxing, we had another hot tub prior to this one and it doesn’t even compare to this one at all. This is the Cadillac of hot tubs. What they say about this hot tub, as far as ThermoSpas goes and their videos that I’ve seen, it definitely exceeds everything that I’ve seen in there.

Salesman said probably 7-9 weeks. Salesman said probably sooner but didn't want to over promise. After 5 weeks we were notified order was as scheduled. Within the week of supposed arrival we called just to check and was then told it would be another 4 weeks. Maybe a great tub but not sure when I'll know! Over 3 months for delivery!!!

A coworker has had a ThermoSpas for four years and he raves about it. Originally, I was looking to get an in-ground spa put in, and that was more at the retail price of what this one was at in the beginning without any discounts. However, the in-ground spa would not get as warm as an actual hot tub and it would not have all those great, beneficial jets for your sore muscles and aching back. The ThermoSpas tub also had a 20-year warranty on the shell and a 10-year warranty on the motor which was great. Those were better than what you can get from a car.

The Wave Lounger has 40 odd jets that goes from top to bottom, so you get the little massages from the neck down to your toes and then, you can stop it where you want it. I liked the whole-body massage experience for better health. It only comes in a smaller model so it would have been great if they had a five-seater versus the three-seater. The customer service team has been awesome but my spa is not working. It keeps tripping and I had the ThermoSpas tech come out. They said it was the motherboard and they were supposed to have ordered one yesterday. Hopefully, it’ll be in this week.

I’ve had it since the 22nd of December, which was a funny time of year to try to get an electrician in, so I got an electrician on the 31st to wire it. Half the jets on the other side weren’t working either before it tripped and I was thinking it got wired wrongly but we verified the wiring was correct. They came in and looked at it on a Saturday, which was not a normal day to come out and look at people’s spas. So, the fact that they came on a Saturday versus waiting until yesterday was great because they know how long I had it for and the problems I was having. I even had an electrician on the phone with the ThermoSpas customer service when they came out the second time to be sure that everything was done right.

The delivery team was awesome. They did it where I wanted it, planned the different features and what everything does. I told the sales guy what I wanted. You can pick whatever you want which was great but they sometimes have spas that are in stock because people couldn’t take them and I took one of those. I had big savings to get what I wanted except that it wasn’t the color that I would have picked, but they worked fine. It was not worth paying that massive thousands for the colors and it works great on my landscape. I got one of the top-of-the-line, so I’ll be very happy with it once it’s up and running fully. Even with all the stuff going on, I would recommend ThermoSpas based on the fact that it worked for a few minutes when I was sitting and it was great.

This is my second hot tub and I hate that I got rid of the other one. When the ThermoSpas salesman came by, I was hoping my wife would say that we like it but we don't need it. I wanted her to be the bad guy and say, "No. We can't afford that." The other one we had was only about four years old but my wife said she didn't know I didn't really want the hot tub. Also, I think she fell in love with the top that they can put on the ThermoSpas, where one person can raise the top off of the tub. That's what sold her and I also like that feature. The salesperson also had a good sales promotion. He didn't push and he did his job. I was excited about it but I didn't want to get into another $10,000 debt. We had paid off the other one and we were just enjoying the fruits of not owing anything on it.

When the guys delivered the hot tub, I had electric wiring already set there. The guy said the he was certified and he could wire it up since we had the wiring. There were only three wires you have to hook up. He went on and hooked up the three wires, and I was good to go. All I had to do was put the water in and turn it on. So both of the people we dealt with were good. ThermoSpas was originally gonna charge me $500 to haul the old one away. But I wound up selling it to my neighbor across the street.

However, I really regret that I didn't buy one with the instrumentations on the top. We've had the hot tub here for over a month and we've only been in it one time because I had a hard time reading the little panel. You've got to turn your head upside down. Then when I'm standing on the outside of it, I gotta bend my head over and look at it. The guy kept telling me some numbers. When he told me to go tell him what it said on there, he said he couldn't see those figures in my book. Then it dawned on me that I was reading it upside down. That threw me off. With the other one we had, I had it right on the top, facing the railing where I could look down. It also had a reverse switch on. If you're standing on the outside of the hot tub, you can read it normally then if you're inside the hot tub and you want to see what the settings are, you can press another button and it would reverse the lettering.

I think ThermoSpas has one other model that's almost the same size but the dial is on the top, not on the side. In fact, I think this is the only model where the dial is on the inside of the tub. With the other models, they're laying across the very top railing of it where you can read it easily whether you're on the outside or the inside of the tub. They had another model, the one next to this and if I had thought about it, I sure would have elected to get that size. I think the models get bigger and this is the small one. I had a double door especially made to get the hot tub in and out of the all-seasons room. The salesman did all the measurements and that was the reason why we couldn't pick anything bigger.

There was another problem when I was setting it the first time. When I reached out and touched the water, it was still warm but before we got it adjusted right, I raised the lid and the water was ice cold. The other hot tub I had kept the water at a certain temperature. I wondered what was wrong so a service guy came out and we played around with the gauges. After that, he said it should stay at whatever temperature I had it programmed at. Occasionally, I would raise the top and stick my hand in the water and it is still good and warm. So we've solved that problem. I know it's using more electric that way but I never know when I'm gonna get in there and I'd rather it to be warm for whatever day we decide to get in it.

But if ThermoSpas is still gonna sell this model, when they make out new ones, they should put the dial on the very top and make it a little bit bigger. It's small. You almost need a little magnifying glass to read it. The dials on the other models seem to have been bigger. That's the only improvement I would like. You do most of your program outside the tub though, and once you got the hot tub set up, you're not changing it that much. The temperature is the main thing, whether you want it to stay warm all the time or just stay warm when you are starting to switch it. It doesn't seem like it takes long to warm it up, maybe a couple of hours or so.

Another problem originally was that when I was testing the water with the little test strips, the other tub used the same kind of test strip but it was read in a different way. So I was reading the test strips wrong. I couldn't quite understand how the guy over the phone was reading it. When the second guy came out, he showed me and told me how to do it. He told me the main levels that I would wanna make sure of and then I could get in the tub. It took a little getting used to but the day we got in the tub, it felt good.

I liked the water really hot. It felt good while I was in it but when I got out, it really made me lightheaded. One time, I stayed in our first hot tub for about 40 minutes and after I got out and sat on the steps, I passed out. The next thing I knew, my wife came in there and said I was laying on the floor. Now, we have the temperature notched down a degree and we don't make it as hot. That helps for us not passing out or getting too dizzy. We also were told we shouldn't stay in it that long. Now, I also use the tub every 15 minutes. We would stand up, sit on the outside and cool off a little bit for about five minutes then we would get in there and go another 15 minutes. We're learning how to use it.

My hot tub is in an all-seasons room and I can use it all year long. But we don't get in it as much as we would like to. I especially need to get in there. I'm getting ready to have back surgery and I'm really having hell with my back. But I haven't been able to climb up the steps to get in it because it hurts so much. Sometimes, we would get in the tub twice a week but most of the time, it would be once a week. I hope that after this back surgery that I'm supposed to have, I'll be able to get in it more. I enjoy the hot tub and I like the way it looks. Other than the top on it, it looks almost like the other one we had. But I would pay the difference if I can get that other hot tub and put it in here with the read-out on the top.

The quality of ThermoSpas' heaters and pumps and the inside of their spas seemed to be easier for maintenance especially for me if I needed to do something. With other products, I didn't feel the quality there. I purchased the Concord from them due to its size and amount of jets. It also has a little bubbler system and it's the Platinum version. The only bad thing I had was that they didn’t have steps in stock. It took a few weeks to get the steps. And then, when they sent out the steps, they didn’t have the hardware in there for the steps. So, they’ve ordered other steps and it took another week. Other than that, ThermoSpas' customer support has been good. I try to use the hot tub nightly depending on the weather and it’s relaxing. I definitely enjoy the time in it and it’s been a good experience so far.

After spending $15k on this "top of the line" unit our tub was delivered but never worked properly. The delivery person (1 person) rolled it down our hill breaking many internal connections which we never knew about until about 2 years later. We had some leaks which their service folks fixed as best they could when I could get them to come out. Then the cheap pressboard wood bottom rotted out and the electrical components fell onto the ground. All of the components would then short out and not start up - our service person advised that they would not put any more money into the tub until the bottom was fixed/replaced. I called ThermoSpas which at that point had been sold to Jacuzzi Inc. And was told my cheap cabinet was only under warranty for 3 years so they attempted to sell us another brand new unit for another $15k.

My wife and I were livid that they would not replace this cabinet after all the money we spent fixing their screw ups!! What a piece of junk and a total ripoff! I escalated up to management but was told the standard BS "We are sorry for your experience but Jacuzzi will not replace the unit." So I hereby warn all who are considering buying a ThermoSpas hot tub - DO NOT DO IT! These folks are ripoff artists and Jacuzzi has done no better! The hot tub was poorly designed and their one man delivery guy is famous on hot tub blogs for how many units he ruined himself. Though he does not work for ThermoSpas anymore they will not rightly fix the issues caused by this individual and consistently ignore any requests to do so.

I am super angry at the way we have been treated and told Jacuzzi so to no avail - they totally ignored my requests for replacement as well as removing this pile of crap from my property. Their attitude was pretty much "We got your $15k so what are you going to do about it?" For this reason I will continue to evangelize - DO NOT BUY A THERMOSPAS HOT TUB!!! You will pour money into it and never get any enjoyment back. The quality is horrible, their support folks are downright impatient and arrogant. Their service is lame and even if you do get it going as advertised the chemicals are too expensive!! BEWARE - This is a very bad company that does not give one hoot about the consumer - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I grew up in Wallingford which had a ThermoSpas factory right behind my dad’s work pretty much my whole life until they moved to Research Parkway. So, I’ve always been aware of ThermoSpas. Also, based on research online, it looked like it would be one of the nicer, newer models compared to other ones I’ve seen. The tub was for me and my wife but we planned out entertaining from time to time so we didn't wanna get just a two-person. The Concord was the size that was right for us in our circumstance. Also, I like the amount of jets that were in it and that it had three separate pumps and the LED lights that can change the power on the head cushions as well as within the tub. And I like that it seems to be really well-insulated, so it didn’t have to work that hard to retain the temperature. and it has nicer seats for just the two us, which is good.

Our ThermoSpas was delivered at the end of September, but for some reason, the system didn’t show it until about a week ago, which is hilarious because I’ve had it for a while. There was just a disconnect. They called me and were checking to see what day was good for delivery but it was delivered two months ago. But everybody I worked with was amazing. The people who delivered it were great and the guy who sold it to me, Tom, was fantastic. Then, the people who called to check in on the status of this were very helpful. It’s just funny how long it took for them to notice. That was a little strange to me, but other than that, everything has been great. Once they saw it was delivered, they reached out to me and people sent me emails about how to take care of it, which was helpful.

I use the tub all the time and it is fantastic. It was more expensive than what I would’ve expected when we started shopping. But then you realize what you’re getting and what you’re sacrificing if you get one that’s half the price from a different company that’s not very well-insulated and the electrical cost would be much more. There’s a reason it’s more expensive.

I did research and most of the companies were at least about 4 or 5,000, but you couldn’t get anybody to come out or they didn't have it and would have to order it. Then, we talked to Walt at ThermoSpas. When we got the tub, it was damaged. We got four panels and two of them were damaged because they brought it here late in the evening. They’re supposed to be sending some stuff to fix it. The tub is all right. I’ve got it wired up, but it doesn’t have the motors in there yet. Walt told me that the Chesapeake doesn’t have an Ozonator on it, but I could get one and have it put on. But he didn’t tell me that I would have to pay it upfront. After I’ve done paid the 1,500 down, I own it. I was disappointed first. I called Walt, he didn’t call me back, and then I got to speak to him with a text. That’s why I said, I thought we just run it. I’ve talked to Steve and he's gonna set it up.

ThermoSpas tubs are custom-made and they’re pretty much the top of the line as far as quality. Sebastian explained to me all the different features and he wasn't aggressive as far as trying to push anything on me that I didn't want. He looked at the backyard and we came to the conclusion of the size that I needed and went from there. The Concord tub we got has a lot of jets and there are four pumps on each corner which is kind of unique because most of the ready-made spas don’t have. I got a really good deal as far as the purchase price and what I actually got. Also, I’ve gotten tons of follow-up calls if I was happy with the delivery. It seems like they follow through as far as customer service is concerned, so I'm very pleased with that aspect.

I was looking online and we were just investigating stuff and then it comes up that we can get somebody from ThermoSpas to come to the house and explain all about it. They didn't put pressure on us to buy ThermoSpas but they offered an incentive if I bought it with them that day. Having somebody right there to personally go over stuff helped to seal the deal. He drove a long way to get here and we had a nice chat. He was very personable and informative. He answered questions and gave us information that we might have questions about later. The Concord has 99 jets and three pumps. It has the pillowtops that make it nice to lay back in. It looked like a good thing.

It was delayed a month so I called back to find out why it wasn't coming in. He got me in touch with somebody in Connecticut and they said that there had been a fire at the warehouse, so it will be delayed finishing tub. Our tub hadn't been damaged, but it needed some parts. Other than us waiting a month and not knowing why, we've been able to communicate and know what's going on and stuff.

We had to call back because we couldn't get the hookup. The electrician hooked it up like it was said with the instructions but it didn't work. They called back and they had to switch the ground wire and it popped right on. But now, we have an issue with the pump that does the left side, which is the whole front and back of the spa. The water is not coming out on the pillows. We get it to work on the others, but we can't get the two pillows to work. And we've got the jets in the body and in the foot. It's just not at the head and the neck. So, I don't know if something's messed up, or we're not pushing the button right or something. But the customer service has been very nice. They're very willing to help and they listen to what you have to say. They take the time. Also, the tub is very nice and we're enjoying it. ThermoSpas has been a great company to deal with.

One of the little spinning things fell out, and although it’s not interfering in the function of the spa itself, I have to call and have them come and fix it. My husband had always wanted a tub ‘cause every time we went on a cruise, he always used it and he always felt much better with it. Plus we have friends in Florida that have one their condo. My husband saw ThermoSpas on TV, and he wanted me to call them. When the rep came, it seemed like their tub would be good for our needs. I also liked that I could call them any time if I have any trouble since we’re older and it’s not that easy for us sometimes.

We didn’t want something too big or extravagant as it’s just for the backyard, for my husband's back and my knee. The Atlantis looked nice and it seemed like it would be perfect for what we needed. It’s easy to get in and out of. It has the two steps that come with the handrail. It’s like a lounge in there that you could relax in. It’s also easy to clean and you could adjust the jets. Plus it's very easy to use. I tried to use it one time and I wasn’t sure exactly what to do and how to set it up, but I called ThermoSpas, they called me back and I haven’t had any trouble since. I asked them about the drainage as it was what I was concerned about. They called me back right away and suggested that it would be better, especially in our case that we’re older, to get a submersible pump ‘cause we have to drain it every four months. Overall I'm very satisfied.

We are in our early 30s and live in the St Louis area. We had been researching hot tubs for a little over a year to put on our deck. We decided on ThermoSpas and received our Concord Silver a couple months ago (paid $10,500 in case you’re wondering). Our ThermoSpas experience was less than desirable and I wanted to share our experience with others as we used customer reviews to make our hot tub decision. I’ve had a two months since delivery to let the frustration and annoyance subside, so here we go:

Pros: Amazing quality. You can tell the hot tub is built solid and it looks great. We chose the Nantucket gray cabinet with silver marble shell. Energy efficient. Heats quickly and stays warm. The cabinet is very well insulated. Sales rep was helpful in our decision making and answering our questions. FYI - save ThermoSpas for last in your decision process because if you don’t make a decision that day, you will lose the $1,250 coupon. We bought the hot tub just to relax and have friends over. I didn’t buy into the health benefits, but I really do sleep better and deeper after a soak. Just experienced soaking in the hot tub while it’s snowing. It was incredible and so relaxing. Amazing for entertaining.

Now to the cons: Hot tub was delivered 3 weeks late with delivery dates changing multiple times, never at our request. Poor communication between ThermoSpas, delivery, and us. They outsource their delivery and communication is lackluster. No one knew the status of why delivery was delayed. I was promised numerous status phone calls that were never made. We always had to call and, frankly, I was annoyed and angry at the entire situation. I can’t count on both hands the number of phone calls we made to get a status update. Hot tub was delivered without the cover. Cover arrived three weeks after delivery. Three weeks!

We were offered free chemicals to compensate us for our inconvenience in which we never received, nor did I expect to receive after experiencing the poor service I had come to expect. Never received follow up call regarding the hot tub cover and cover lifter installation. Luckily, we are handy and installed the cover lifter ourselves. We are waiting on ThermoSpas to replace our panels that were damaged in delivery. We have received the panels but haven’t received a phone call.

Overall, if you decide to move forward with ThermoSpas, you will receive a quality, well built hot tub that looks amazing. You will also most likely receive poor customer service after the sale. Be prepared to make numerous phone calls to manage this project. In looking back at our experience, we probably would have made a purchase with a competitor. We encourage prospective buyers to conduct extensive research and due diligence on each manufacturer before making this purchase. Hope this review is helpful to those reading to assist in the decision making process.

But it’s perfect for what I need it for. It’s nice. It's got the nice cover with the handle and the steps. It has 32 jets, a light and two pumps. I wired in a 210 and put it on a concrete pad. The hot tub is awesome and I love it. It’s more therapeutic for me because I’ve been having back issues. It’s better than any pill they could ever give me.

The salesman, Gordon, was awesome too. I did shop around with other brands but I liked him. He was a great guy. He seemed honest and straightforward, and he got me the best deal he could. Initially, the price was more than I wanted to pay and he worked me with on that. So that was a good experience. The guys who delivered the tub were good guys too. But it came a little earlier than they had told me. They told me up to eight weeks and it came in in five. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have the pad for it yet. So I put the hot tub in my driveway until I poured the concrete pad. Then a friend and I rolled the hot tub right on into place perfectly. Everything has been great since.

The rep was very good, and he knew his product. He had a good presentation with good visuals, and he answered any questions we had. He also checked back to see how things went. They sent sample chemicals along with it and some videos about how to get it going, and I am very pleased with it. Aside from the size of the model and the features it has with the adjustable power and dual motors, the warranty was also appealing. The spa meets everything that I thought I might get. It would be wonderful, nonetheless, if it comes with a tinted cover for the spa.

When booking the appointment, he said both owners of the home must be present. I said that wouldn't be necessary. He said it would or they could not proceed. Ludicrous. Think about that: I couldn't even get a price without my spouse being present. In today's political climate, it's disgraceful. ThermoSpas lost a potential customer today. Mr. Dowell,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sure when the time comes you will be the one to make the decision. This consultative appointment is designed to allow you to create the hot tub that is right for you and your budget and is much more than a service call like you would get from an A/C or appliance repair person.

We request to have all homeowners present to review safety regarding the electrical installation which is a top priority before and after installation. Let me assure you that discussing this with both of you together will actually use much less of your time by answering all of your questions in a single visit.

A site visit takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Inspecting your site (or sites) and determining your best options base on your specific property takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Then, we'll take 20-30 minutes to look over pictures and videos of your options and answer your initial questions. Finally, we will take measurements, calculate an exact price and deliver it in writing before we leave. We respect your time and we're not going to waste it! My partner thought it would be nice if it had more lighting underneath but I was fine with it. I also like that model because of its size capacity. I initially purchased it from ThermoSpas because of the warranty and how the underside of the spa is not foam-filled. My interaction with their reps was great as well and I didn't have any issues. At any time I needed to contact them prior to the spa being delivered, someone was available.

So far, I've had a very good experience with my spa and it's effect in my life has been dramatic. I've only had it for less than two weeks, but I've been using it almost daily. I feel a lot more relaxed because I'm using it more as a massage therapy-type of stuff, too. And I have completely noticed the difference as far as its benefits. We started out with a Coleman and it was the top-of-the-line at the time. Then we went to Jacuzzi because at the time, we weren't set up for 220 and they had a hot tub that ran on 110. But you lose a lot of stuff when you just use 110, so when we could have 220 again, we set it all up. Then we got in contact with ThermoSpas and we liked their presentation. Plus, their products are built good. So, we bought from them and we got their Atlantis model because we wanted a spa for our personal use. We also liked the way it's made and the features you can get on it. But I wish we would have went one more step. I would have preferred to have those little bubbles on the bottom, which we had before in other hot tubs, but that would have cost us more. At the time, we were over our limit as it was and we thought we could save me a little money if we could do without them.

Initially, ThermoSpas' rep came to our home. He was pleasant and answered all my questions and more. But we had a little problem with the delivery. We talked to corporate and they blamed the delay on a fire in Mexico in one of their plants for parts. That was a little fuzzy, but we weren't worried about it. They didn't charge us until we got the hot tub anyway and it gave us more time to get it ready. I had an electrician that was very busy and he couldn't get to it, so it all worked out. Eventually, we got our spa, so we're happy. Also, when the delivery team came, they were very professional and they got right to it. They set it up right and went on their way.

So far, I've already had the covers off for the electrician to wire it up and it all looks good under there. It looks a lot better than the Jacuzzi, too, because that one would spray that foam in there and they get old. Then if you had to replace the pipe, even though if it was leaking, you'd have to tear all that stuff out. But we haven't had our ThermoSpas long enough to have anything go wrong. Except we had one of the jet heads come out and they're in the process of sending us new ones. But that issue is just a minor inconvenience. We can still run the hot tub and use it. It's getting cold here, so we jump in it frequently.

All in all, ThermoSpas worked with us really good and we were satisfied with our experience with them. We try to follow their guidelines and when you do that and take care of something when you need to, everything works out. As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with their rep and if I need any help, she'll either send a tech out or walk me through it.

The salesman I worked with was so nice and very understanding. The night he came, I explained that I wasn't gonna buy the spa right away, even though I was gonna purchase one. I wanted to know everything about it. After seeing how far he came in, and hang around long enough to make me aware of everything about that spa, I went in through with it. Besides, the cost is feasible. I just try to keep it where I could handle those payments and not outdo myself. And the quality is nice.

Other than that, I had to call customer service when the lift never showed up, in which they said that they sent it but they did not. It went somewhere else. But then, ThermoSpas immediately sent another one out. So far, we're happy with the spa. We get in there for relaxation as we're learning to relax a little bit. I would recommend ThermoSpas.

I’ve been doing research for about the last six months and the options of the ThermoSpas tub met all the checkbox on everything. Also, it stood out from everybody else when I looked at the quality and the warranties. The Park Avenue has the lounger and my daughter is handicapped so that was appealing. It also has the therapeutic part that we like and the rest of the options were more of preference. It’s so far lived up to everything that they said it was. Except for a little bit of an issue with the cover that will be surely be resolved after I call a tech, the tub is quality built. Overall, we are now more relaxed and have better sleep as well as less aches.

The sales rep who came out to the house when I called and asked about ThermoSpas was a new one but very knowledgeable and professional. He hasn't been with the company for more than six months but he really presented all the information thoroughly and easy to understand. We liked him personally. Then, the group that came out and installed the tub was very professional. I was very well pleased with them. They were there when they said they were gonna be there and came in quick to get it done. They also answered every question that we had about the tub. ThermoSpas is a well-rounded company and one can tell that it’s well managed.

ThermoSpas lost a customer today. They do not provide any opportunity to see or try one of their spas. They do not have any stores. I do not see how they can sell any or stay in business. I would never buy a spa without at least looking at one.

High pressure sales pitch. I feel it was all an elaborate scene that the salesman played out. Not sure if a single word he said was truth. Called for a discount model that just happened to be exactly the model/color I was just looking at. And I said top dollar was $8,000. This one was $7,995! What a coincidence... Then was told it's a 1 time offer and I'll lose it unless I sign right now today. No time to research the product, or an electrician to do the actual installation, just sign, sign, sign!

Thank you for sharing your sales experience as we are always listening for ways to improve. While our spas are custom built, we do have some units in stock at times. We try to save our customers time and money if there is a match between a request and our inventory which may have been the case in this instance. Like any showroom floor model, quantities are extremely limited and we cannot guarantee availability, though you should never feel rushed to make a decision. I apologize if you felt pressured and have shared your feedback with the sales team. Elle, ThermoSpas

I started doing research for a spa several months ago and I came across ThermoSpas through ConsumerAffairs. I liked that their Aquacisor model is more of a hybrid. It allows you to exercise in it and it still has the spa where you can relax. So, I decided to buy it. It is a deeper spa and it has the swim spa jets on it, so it allows you to walk or jog in there. Then it has connectors and you have resistance bands, so it allows you to do upper body exercises using resistance bands. But it is less of a relaxation spa. Most spas have loungers and this does not have one. It has a more of a soak, but I knew that going into it, so I couldn't say that it was any false advertising.

Also, everything about the the control panels is underneath the cover, so there is no way to tell if the spa is actually running or the temperature or any of it unless you go out there and look at it or listen to it. Most people have their spa outside and I told ThermoSpas that I'd like to have a feature that allowed some type of an indicator to tell me if the spa is running or what the temperature is. And they said their newer one is gonna come with a remote monitoring and it is gonna be Wi-F ready. But this one does not have that and that is a feature that I would like to see.

Other than that, my contact with their sales team was very good. They made the appointment and they were on time for that. They came out, explained the features and benefits, and I sat down and reviewed that with them. But the length of time to get the spa was really disappointing. It took nine weeks to get it, though they told me about that in the beginning. Everything was kind of built, so they didn’t have any prebuilt products that they could put in together. But a reasonable timeframe would be within two to three weeks, not two and half months. And the product was all built here and coming from Continental US. It was not like it was coming from overseas that had to come across on a barge.

Then, their startup manual did not identify clearly the level of the water and not until a week later did I get the documentation on the water level, so I overfilled the spa and in return, it caused the spa to be kicking out. When the service team came out a week later, they identified that the water level was the issue and they drained it out some. But that should be part of the documentation of the spa and it wasn’t clearly identified there or the manual failed to clearly recommend the water height. It said to fill the spa halfway up the filter and that was not clear to me. Apparently, what they meant was actually halfway up the skimmer filter, which is a type of a skimmer. It was also kind of unique to this situation because this is still a fairly new spa for them and they haven't sold too many of this yet.

Then, the manual says you can work all your major muscle groups with the spa but they didn’t have an exercise routine to give me. So it is an exercise spa and they don’t provide you with an exercise routine. Whenever you buy a piece of fitness equipment, you get that from the company that provides the piece of equipment. But overall, I am very happy with the spa and with ThermoSpas' customer service.

From looking at ThermoSpas' product, we know that they put a lot of time, energy and effort into the designs. Also, the product had a good warranty. We had one person to come out and got ahold of and he was a good salesman. He told me he wanted to talk to me after the hot tub was delivered and set up, and he wanted to come and take pictures. I called him twice but there was no response, so I haven't heard from him. I also had questions about chemicals since I've never owned a hot tub. It's a lot of work. I have to go to a pool supply place to get water tested, and it's a pain in the butt, but at the same time, it's a good thing. You just got to keep up on it.

I'm having problems getting the filter out, but I don’t know who to call. The instruction manuals state that it comes right out, but I've been trying for about two weeks now and I can't get this thing out. But as far as the hot tub's jets and the temperature, it's pretty nice. We like it. I mainly got the hot tub for arthritis, and it doesn't get rid of it but the hot water helps.

I’m very happy with ThermoSpas. I bought a Concord and I liked its price. Also, the quality’s good. It has a lot of jets and is good for therapy because I have arthritis. When I go inside, I have pain. And when I get out, I don’t have too much pain. I can move better, too. The spa helps.
