Bad quality, and bad service too, our oven did not work, it takes 3 months to get it fixed, and then after one month it did not work again, take another one month to get an appointment for service, and I am not sure how long it can be fixed, maybe another 3 months, can you image live without an oven for almost half a year?

This is a review of the Model PRG366WH/02 6 burner stove/oven. This oven comes with a computer module. I have had the oven for 6 years and the computer modules have burned out twice. Do not buy an oven with a computer screen, or a computer module. I have spent $2300 replacing the screen twice and the computer module once. Unless you absolutely need the internet connected stove, skip the computerized version. Get yourself a simple gas stove with manual valves/knobs and no computer module.

High price that doesn’t deliver. Cost for manufacturing repair is outrageously expensive. We paid thousands of dollars for a refrigerator that only lasted 10 years.

Don't buy a 36" pro hood insert. The control panel is invisible unless you use a flashlight to see it. Also the lights are not bright enough to illuminate the back burners not the back wall under the hood. And Thermador could care less. This is a simple fix with brighter LED bulbs and a backlit control panel. Thermador responds to this with generic form letters. Zero customer service!

This is the first review I have ever written about any product or service. I felt compelled to do so in order to save others from making such an expensive mistake. Simply put, don't purchase Thermador appliances! I thought I was buying high-end appliances but they are substandard at best. The microwave and oven windows have become cloudy. Moisture has seeped through the double glass windows and they cannot be cleaned. I've own many microwaves and ovens from cheaper brands and this never happened. The down-draft itself had to be replaced 4 times while under warranty because of manufacturing defects.
The replacement charcoal filter for the downdraft is supper expensive ($99 U.S.) and they recommend you change it every six months. The dishwasher is terrible. The controls are poor and you never know when it will start the cleaning cycle. Lastly, they provide poor customer support. Don't waste your money on Thermador appliances. They don't care about the quality of their product or their customers. Stay away!

Purchased a 25K suite of Thermador appliances through Home Depot Design Center in 2021. In the first year, the double wall steam oven had to be replaced (it would randomly shut down). Thankfully it was under warranty and they did replace it after 5 service calls not being able to fix it. Now, the microwave drawer is out. Wont heat. I'm told it needs a new magnetron which is a $900 repair. We're out of warranty but I'm told this is a part that should last much longer esp considering this is a $2,400 appliance that’s only 5 years old. Needless to say, I don’t recommend this brand unless you are willing to shell out lots of $ on extended warranties.

I have purchased a Thermador induction stove range, dishwasher, 2 refrigerator drawers, a full size refrigerator, a microwave and a wine cooler and every single appliance is designed poorly. There is no attention paid to the lighting element and its design. There is no way to see if the item is visibly on or off and everything about. I cannot believe I trusted this brand. I have had it less than 6 months and feel ready to change it but it was so expensive. The design is SUBSTANDARD. I highly DON’T recommend this appliance brand.

This is a review of the Thermador t48bt110ns/10 side-by-side refrigerator/freezer: Do not buy this appliance. I purchased this refrigerator brand new in November 2025. The icemaker did not work when it was installed. I told the store and thermador immediately. Thermador sent their technician to my house but the tech was unable to fix the problem. He came 4 different times over the next 6 weeks, and replaced 3 different parts to try to fix the icemaker. But it is still broken. The freezer will not produce ice. It's now late January 2026 but thermador has not approved replacing their brand new product. So I have a new fridge/freezer that won't make ice. Please do not buy this fridge. Buy a different brand. The hassle with the manufacturer is not worth the money.

I would never buy another Thermador. We bought a range and vent/hood. The lighting module went out on the hood. After 8 months of looking for the part or a replacement we discover it is no longer available. I contacted Thermador for help, no reply. Now we have to buy a new hood and believe me it will not be a Thermador. I know regarding the range this was our fault for not looking in more detail but I wasn't until we installed the stove, months later, that there is no self-cleaning oven. We just assumed and by that time it was too late to replace it. Again I would never buy a Thermador again.

Poor customer service. It takes weeks to get a technician, who then orders parts and sets a repair date in yet a couple more weeks later. When the appliance works, they're great. In the first two years, the $18k stove had two repair calls, the dishwasher, only one. Bosch is the same company.

Thermador represents itself as a high-quality, luxury brand, and it’s not, and their customer service is terrible! I paid $179 for their technician to come out and $125 for his time on the phone to discuss repair options with his manager and the manufacturer, only to be told that they couldn’t repair it. I purchased a Thermador stove and range hood blower for $ 8,300 in July 2016, drawn to its reputation as a respected, high-quality brand.
Today, I called your company for an appointment to repair my unit. Jose ** came out to diagnose the unit, talked to the manufacturer to discuss repair options, and his manager about whether the company could fix it. However, his manager told Jose that your company’s policy is that they would not fix equipment that was over 6 ft above the ground. This is a ridiculous policy as a range hood is almost always installed 6 feet above the ground. Furthermore, your employee should already know this policy and not have to talk to his manager. It's ridiculous that the customer would have to pay for their in-house communication time. -- O.C.

Purchased a Thermador fridge (15K), 36 in range (6K), dishwasher (3K) and speed oven (3K) in Jan 2024. Since then, every single appliance has needed service. Fridge needed a new control panel (fridge would turn off randomly), range wasn’t heating right, dishwasher display screen broke, and now on Christmas Eve, the speed oven won’t heat. Purchased a full suite of Thermador appliances for our new home, and the combo electric oven/microwave/warmer failed three months out of warranty. Reached out to Thermador and they had me provide a slew of documents before telling me to go away. Poor quality, poor service, plus they don't seem to care about their customers. If you are looking to purchase their appliances, I suggest you do not.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service I received regarding my Thermador refrigerator/freezer—an appliance that cost nearly $10,000 and failed after only 2.5 years of normal use. What unfolded over the past five months has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a brand that promotes itself as a premium appliance manufacturer.
First and foremost, the quality of customer service communication throughout this process was exceptionally poor. I repeatedly experienced delayed responses, inconsistent information, and a general lack of urgency. At no point did I feel that my concerns were being handled with the level of professionalism or attentiveness one would expect, especially given the cost and supposed caliber of your products.
Additionally, it took nearly five months to reach a disposition to replace this defective appliance (item was ultimately replaced). This timeline is unreasonable by any standard. A refrigerator/freezer is an essential household item, and the prolonged delay left me without a necessary appliance for an extended period—something that should have been taken into account from the outset. Unfortunately, there was no meaningful acknowledgment of this hardship nor any effort to provide a timely remedy.
Equally troubling is the fact that a high-end product such as this would fail so prematurely. The lack of proactive support, accommodation, or urgency from your company amplified the disappointment. As a consumer who invested significantly in a Thermador appliance with the expectation of reliability and superior service, this experience has been profoundly disheartening.
Due to the poor communication, the extensive delays, the lack of consideration for the inconvenience caused, and the overall failure to rectify the situation in a professional and timely manner, I can confidently say that I will not purchase another Thermador product. I will also share my experience with other consumers so they can make informed decisions before choosing your brand. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as experiences like mine reflect directly on Thermador’s reputation and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Just installed a suite of Thermador appliances: double oven, range top, professional hood insert, refrigerator and microwave drawer. I am so far disappointed with all. The double oven cooling fan is excessively loud and makes a high pitched noise that can be heard all over the house. The first time I turned it on I was on another floor in the house and thought there was an alarm going off. The fans turn on in both ovens even when only using one and the air coming out of them can be felt 6 feet away. In addition to the noise the fans heat up the kitchen to the point of needing to open the windows during the winter to cool the room down.
These fans continue to run long after the oven is shut off. The control panel on the hood insert is unreadable. You have to guess where to touch the panel to select the functions. The refrigerator cameras do not work consistently and the WIFI functionality, which controls many of the settings, is glitchy, mysteriously changing settings repeatedly. The app keeps saying the ice hopper needs to be emptied, unclear why. The range top arrived with the porcelain finish damaged.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Thermador service and if I could give 0 stars I would. I began placing service calls on September 25, 2025 for my refrigerator, fully aware that it was out of warranty and prepared to pay for the repair. I was told a technician would arrive the following week with the necessary parts on hand. When the technician arrived on September 30, they said two parts needed to be ordered and could not repair anything that day. We paid for the service call, but 48 hours later, Thermador informed us they could not source the parts because their systems were down. The parts were eventually ordered days later—but never arrived. Out of frustration, we contacted Topline (the retailer), who sent their own technician and gave us a completely different diagnosis from what Thermador claimed.
This ordeal has now dragged on for nearly 10 weeks, and we still do not have a functioning refrigerator. During this same period, Thermador outsourced a separate warranty-covered repair. When that technician arrived on November 24, they told us there is a leak in the back of the refrigerator that cannot be repaired and that the unit should be replaced. They even called Thermador directly, but Thermador insisted we retry two additional parts—parts that had already been tried previously. We were told it could take another three months for those parts to arrive. I have children, and not having a working refrigerator for this long is a serious sanitary and health concern. The repeated misdiagnoses, lack of communication, and endless delays are completely unacceptable for a company of this caliber. I cannot recommend Thermador based on this experience.

Updated on 04/06/2026: Never received the call. Nothing. I contacted them months later, and after numerous back and forth, they said that they would just replace the unit for me. Okay, that's fair. Gave them my information (numerous times, I might add) and then they said that they will send a unit to the repair provider who will reach out to me. Multiple months later, still nothing. Am still working on getting my cap fixed. Almost a year now.
Original Review: Horrible. Bought a downdraft to replace my existing downdraft. Garbage quality from a supposed "luxury" brand. During routine cleaning and maintenance, the "Thermador" branding and lettering on the unit is wearing off and being removed simply by wiping the surface with a standard cleaning cloth. I bought this a year ago. Contacted Thermador and after a long back and forth, they sent me a replacement and had me schedule someone to replace the top cap. The guy broke a screw and couldn't get it off, and had to reschedule me. Said someone will call me to reschedule once the part is in. Nothing thus far!

My stove oven stopped working after 2 yrs. Will cost 1/2 what I paid to fix. I paid over 8000. For me is not worth it as they don't guarantee the problem will be fixed or it not happen again. Researching found not the only one and they are not willing to work with me. Thermador customers have complained about a variety of issues, most notably extremely poor customer service with long hold times and unresolved repair problems. Other frequent complaints include appliance malfunctions, such as ovens not reaching temperature, refrigerators freezing up, and microwaves and dishwashers failing soon after purchase. Some customers also report that the quality of the appliances does not justify the high price, and others mention difficulties with the warranty process, such as parts being discontinued to avoid repairs.
Customer service. Long wait times: Many users report spending hours on hold to speak with customer service representatives. Unhelpful staff: Customers describe representatives as uninformed, and callbacks are often not returned. Lack of follow-through: There are reports of multiple service calls failing to resolve issues, with miscommunication between the call center and technicians. Appliance issues. Ovens: Problems include control panels malfunctioning, temperature control being inaccurate (erratically high or fluctuating), and broiler igniting when the bake function is on. Refrigerators: Complaints include freezing systems, frequent icing, and issues with water and ice dispensers.
Other appliances: Other reported malfunctions include dishwashers leaking, microwaves failing, and cooktops with broken parts or unreliable connectivity. Warranty and repair. Warranty disputes: Some users claim Thermador refuses to honor warranty obligations or offers discounts on new products instead of repairing faulty ones. Discontinued parts: There are instances where customers were told that a part needed for a relatively new appliance was no longer available. Inefficient service: Some have experienced a high number of service calls for a single issue, with technicians installing incorrect parts or failing to fully fix the problem.

I have a Thermador 60" gas range, it has to be at least as old as the refrigerator, which is an aluminum Sub Zero. Sub Zero switched to stainless steel in the mid 80's. So the range is from the 80's or maybe even the 70's. I never had a problem with it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the new ones do, besides the convection oven, but maybe that's a good thing. They just don't make them like they used to.

I purchased the 36” bottom freezer model at the end of 22’. Less than three years later I had to replace the lights in the drawer module, there are no self maintenance or repair guides, so it cost me $286.43 to have an appliance repair company replace them. I would NOT recommend Thermador for a built in refrigerator/freezer. I am dreading future repairs…

I spent over 20K on a Thermador setup in 2017 and the performance has been OK. Was it worth the $$ - absolutely not. I am now in the process of switching from propane to natural gas on my 48" range top. I contacted Thermador, and the technician informed me that I would have to look up all the parts needed (she gave me a list but stated that it was probably incomplete - she could not be sure) - that she was not capable because she felt she missed something and I had to have my mechanical contractor review the shop drawings. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and knowledge with this company. Bottom line: do not buy Thermador.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Thermador Customer Service is appalling. We purchased an entire suite of Thermador/Bosch appliances for a new home build. The first oven did not work - it came with a broken fan. Then the motherboard went - that was year 1. The giant refrigerator - kept freezing the cooling system and icing the fan. We had technicians out 4 times to repair and thaw the refrigerator. Then we went through the replacement process when the closed refrigeration system failed completely. That took months of back and forth service and finally replacement.
Then refrigerator number 2 had to be serviced within 6 months - for the same problem. Ah - they said they fixed that problem which was a sensor engineered too close to the cold so it didn't sense temperature properly. A design flaw. So they repaired that for $600 - and it should have been under warranty. 4 months later the refrigerator stopped completely without warning. That was August. Back to the repair technicians - ok we can probably fix this - $2500. Wait - that's under warranty isn't it? Down the warranty road with Thermador customer service again... No parts available and we don't know when we can fix it. Our policy now is to replace the unit if we can't fix it. OK - so now weeks later we are still waiting the replacement. But we follow up - calls to customer service - need to be assigned a case number.
Next week got a case number - now they need reports from the appliance techs and they don't have them. We get them sent. Now they have it and it has to go up the chain for approval. Another week. Ok looks like approval but now it needs a new case number because it's a different department not us. And "I suggest you go buy another refrigerator because it will take a while to get you a new one". Huh - that's what customer service recommends? Another week. Got the new case number. Wait - now the Appliance Replacement team needs to find a dealer in your area. But we know who the dealer is don't we? Nope - we have to put it into our process. BUT "suggest you find a rental company that might rent you a refrigerator because we can't say when this will be resolved". That's what their customer service suggested.
Another week - "Ah sorry we are backed up and haven't begun looking for the dealer yet." "Escalate me please." Get to supervisory customer service. "Sorry but it's not my department so I can't help you - that's Appliance Replacement". Please escalate me to them - Nope - "they don't talk to customers". Really. So now I will try to do their job - find a distributor, find the refrigerator model in stock and get them to reach out to AR because they might talk to a dealer. And get approval to let the appliance dealer they don't know they have to install the appliance they didn't find. Thermador - worst brand image ever - should have read reviews before purchasing your brand. I would say run fast in the other direction if someone suggests you purchase their appliances because nothing is worth the hassle of dealing with them.

I purchased their Thermador range in November 2019. By January of 2020 the bottom of the range began to pit and peel. Customer service kept telling me it was rust and not covered under warranty without even looking at the damage! This year I contacted them again, (been doing over the years) to resolve this matter and to send someone out to see that it is in fact a manufactured defect. They sent Mr Appliance in March. Didn’t hear back and followed up in June and July. Both times they said they will accelerate the case. Still didn’t hear back. Called today and Thermador wants a more recent assessment even though Mr Appliance’s came out in March. So, now I am waiting to have Mr Appliance to come out again to assess.
Even though this was done in March with pics. I haven’t used the range for fear of any chemicals coming off of the damage. According to California Civil Code under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, products sold in California must meet the standards of the implied warranty of merchantability, meaning they must be fit for ordinary purposes and last a reasonable period of time. This has not happened with my range and Thermador has been very difficult to deal with. They should replace the range.

1 star due to very poor customer service when it came to them scheduling a service call. The service call was for a faulty board in an in-wall coffee maker. The tech came, fixed the problem by changing the board, but upon putting the system back together, could not get the drain that was working before to work. He told me that someone from customer service will call to set an appointment, no one did for a month. Then when I called to follow up, they gave me an appointment 2 months out, because the part was on back order.
The part was a 10 dollar plastic elbow that prevents the drain tube from bending I believe! 2 month time comes, the day of the appointment, I get a text saying we have to reschedule because the part is not here! I call to reschedule, they give me another appointment 2 months out, to find out, on the day of! it was again not scheduled properly because now it is a two tech job and the scheduling person scheduled it for one. They schedule for a month out, which was today, to find out, the tech has called in! so now I have to wait for someone to call me back to find a date to come in who knows when it is going to be! So, I am to the point that I want to rip the unit out and go dump it in front of their headquarters and put it on fire, or leave a 1 star review which I chose the latter. Zero respect for the customer's time. Zero scheduling and supply chain capability. Very Very Very poor customer service.

We bought all new Thermador appliances for a kitchen remodel about 2 months ago (June 2025). They cost us nearly $20,000 for a new dishwasher, cooktop, and wall oven unit. We had some problems with the initial installation, and contacted Thermador for help. The Thermador technician was extremely rude and not interested in helping us at all. We finally had another company resolve the installation problems.
After everything was installed, it all worked great, except the oven won't heat up. So this morning, I contacted Thermador for that problem, only to find out we've been "blacklisted" and Thermador will not support the brand-new appliances we bought. Apparently, they do not believe or trust anything their customers say, and don't care if their appliances work or not. Once they got our money, they no longer care. This is literally the *worst* customer service I've ever had from any company. Do NOT buy Thermador appliances. We are returning ours, even if it costs us another $20K.

I purchased a Thermador range and dishwasher just over a year ago, expecting premium performance from a premium brand. Instead, I’ve been stuck in an endless cycle of frustration, repairs, and wasted time. The Range: The control panel repeatedly turns itself on and off, sometimes mid-use. It takes far longer than it should to reach temperature — if it even reaches it at all. These issues have been going on for a full year, with no permanent fix despite service calls.
The Dishwasher: Stops mid-cycle almost every week, leaving dirty dishes sitting in water. I have to constantly check it to make sure it hasn’t shut itself off again. The inconsistency makes it completely unreliable for daily use. I didn’t pay for “high-end headaches.” I paid for quality, reliability, and performance — none of which I have received. Between ruined meals, wasted time, and the stress of never knowing if my appliances will work, I’m beyond disappointed. Thermador, I expect you to do the right thing and replace these defective units. At this price point, anything less is unacceptable.
