Out of 5 new EasyShades 1 had a bad motor and needed replacement. Arrangement via phone call was the easy part besides the insistence to charge me $50+ for the replacement part with the understanding I would be reimbursed after the broken part was received back at the location in MD. Shipment was prompt within 6 days and everything worked out ok and the broken part was returned immediately arriving again after 6 days at their location. I placed a call after 6 days to inquire about the reimbursement and found out that they pretended not to know if they received the part yet. Based on the FedEx tracking # they finally admitted that they had received the part.

I looked at awning companies and liked SunSetter's value and services which made sense. The salesman I had filled out the forms and responded. However, after the sale was made, he didn’t have a great response. He was strictly a sales guy. The awning I got had wind sensors. It's 10 ½ feet long and automatic. It's really cool and I like it. Furthermore, their installer knew what he was doing. All in all, I had a good experience with SunSetter and I’d recommend them.

We couldn’t sit out there on our deck at my shore house without something. I saw SunSetter Awnings at a home show and thought that I should do it. I have an awning at the house but it was a manual and we had never opened it in four four years. SunSetter's reps took it off which was a plus. But the salesman told me I was gonna have to take off the screen door and a light that was above it. It was discouraging and I almost didn't order the awning. I declined even during the installation that day, but the guys that came out said they didn't have to touch any of that. They worked around it.

I had a very sunny area and we couldn't even sit out there, so we decided to get an awning. I had SunSetter in my other house and it worked well. My interaction with the awning representatives this time was very nice. They were very friendly, professional, and very polite. Even the workers that came to put it up were very nice. I got the retractable one with the push of a button. I have outdoor space, so having the awning definitely enhanced it. SunSetter Awnings is great and I have already told people to get them.

I had a deck put in. It's south facing and it's hot outside. I am a shade person and I wanted to be able to be outside and not have to be in the sun, so I decided to get an awning. The reputation that SunSetter Awnings has made me choose them over a different company. I asked for information and got a call from the dealer. Thereafter, I had a fantastic experience with their team. They really went through all the options with me and did a drawing and how it would work. The rep was really nice, so I felt comfortable buying the awning from them. The installation experience was really good and they did a great job. They explained everything to me after they left and it was really good. Everything was done in one visit.

We purchased a retractable awning with all the bells and whistles, which was installed in Aug. of 2017 and were very happy with it UNTIL after having the awning for 10 months, on 6/25/18, the wind sensor did not function properly and the awning was destroyed, along with the lights, hardware, etc. The damaged parts were reordered on 6/26/18 and to this day, we still have no awning and have been told that it may be the end of July before they are shipped.

I happened to run into SunSetter Awnings at the fair and I bought a motorized awning. It wasn't my first one but I used somebody else before. I had the SunSetter awning installed by somebody else and they provided fine service. The awning does what it's supposed to do but the whole thing could have been free.

Our backyard faces the east, so we get a lot of direct sun for half a day or so in Arizona. We wanted to keep the house as cool as we can, so we shopped around for awnings. SunSetter seemed to be the most recognized brand and I wanted to have something of quality and good reputation installed. I looked them up directly online and called the 1-800 number. They put me in contact with their local distributor who was very prompt. He also seemed experienced and knew what he was doing. He knew the product, his recommendations and what we were looking for. Also, he was very attentive. Even through the installation process, he called, followed up and showed up when he said he would. He installed a mid-grade, electric awning with a motion sensor.

The hurricane took down the tree that was shading the house, so we purchased an awning. We decided to go with SunSetter because of their reputation and the installation was outstanding. Our awning has a color that goes well with the house and it’s 12x14. If someone asks me about it, I would tell them the same thing that friends told me, "It's the one to get if you’re gonna go that way."

I was not able to sit on my deck all summer long. It was so hot out there, you couldn’t go out to even walk in your bare feet. My daughters encouraged me, they said, “Mom, you really need to get a SunSetter.” And we went for it. My neighbor down at the end of the street was the only one in this whole neighborhood that had one and I saw a little bit of how they installed it.

I got a good carpenter who put a pin in the awning so he could hang it. It didn't take him long and he did an excellent job. Now, the awning helps us enjoy outdoor activities more. When my grandson comes here, he plays there. He enjoys it too and he also invites his friends here and they have a good time. I would recommend SunSetter to anybody.

We needed some shade from the sun on the window. We worked with SunSetter because of the quickness of it and their reps were very professional. The awning that we got was brown and it's automatic. It gave us shade on our window. We were satisfied with it.

SunSetter has more quality and more value. A guy named John called me and he was right on the time and the date for getting delivery. He was also on time for the setup and for putting the awning up. He did a good job, did the follow-up and asked me if I was okay with it. We like the awning and it is nice to sit down in the sun and the heat and be in the shade. We use it every day and it works perfectly. However, it has a flap in the front and the bottom, and the flap that hangs down on the end of it is like a wavy cut. I hang some fishing line and weights on it so it doesn't flap as much. And even when it's retracted, the wind is flapping it up and down all the time and the inside of it as well. Also, SunSetter awning’s price is a little steep but if you want one, you got to pay for it. Other than that, everybody should have SunSetter and they would love it.

I liked that SunSetter awnings was local. When they came in to get information, it was all good. Their guy was pleasant and knowledgeable and their team was okay. I bought a 16-foot, motorized awning and they did a good job installing it. However, they put a slat on it when I asked them to put on a little bit of a pitch so it's collecting a lot of water. I'm thinking about calling them back to tell them to fix it. Nevertheless, the awning is pretty and the equipment is fine. I use it during the evening and weekends, as well as when I have monthly visitors.

Awning did not arrive. Ordered and paid for over a month ago, getting nothing but a runaround from SunSetter. Customer service tells me they will contact UPS Freight but I have to wait another week before I can put in a claim and they will send out another awning. Looks like it'll be another month before I can expect. Summer will be over.

I've seen awnings from SunSetter advertised in different places and I liked the looks of it. I also figured that it was the best so I got a motorized awning. It's ivory and brown-colored and has a cover on it that matched the siding perfectly. The unit was delivered to where I wanted it and I put it up myself. And the installation was simple. All the directions were good. It took me a long time to do it because I did it in little pieces but when I had to lift it up there, I had to have two of my friends help me because the awning itself weighed 90 pounds. The awning has made the back part of the house cooler because the sun doesn't shine in the sliding door anymore.

We have a portion of our deck that’s up against the back of the house. It gets a lot of the afternoon sun and we spend a lot of time out there because of the pool. We've talked about getting an awning for several years and we just decided to see how much it costs. SunSetter was the company we heard about the most and I haven't heard anything bad about them, so we went their route. We had no idea what it would cost and we were a little taken aback by the price. But it was well worth it. We got a 17-foot long awning from them. We got the one that has a beige and brownish stripe to it because it matches the brick and the mortar on the house well. We’ve also got the LED lights and the wind sensor. It looks really great.

I have a deck out and it overlooks the lake but in the afternoons, too much sun comes in to sit in it. I didn’t want anything permanent so I got a SunSetter. I looked on the internet, liked what I saw and I talked to the rep. He knew his product and I’m happy with the green, motorized awning that I got. It was for a new log cabin and I have an architectural design for it, so the installers looked at those. There wasn’t enough room underneath so they mounted the awning on the roof. They did a good job and did it all in one trip. I’m pleased with my experience with SunSetter Awnings and I’d recommend them to a friend.

Purchasing an awning was something we wanted to do and we chose to go with SunSetter Awnings since they had great advertising and references. We bought a 16-foot motorized awning from a dealer. The time they spent with us, making sure we understood what the product did and didn't do, all the different options, how the installation was gonna go and good, straight, and honest communication made purchasing a superb experience. And the installation was perfect. The awning covers the patio off the sunroom and my wife likes to use it as a shade for the picture window that looks out over it. Overall, it was worth the expense.

We purchased our second power-retractable SunSetter Awning late in 2017. The previous one had served us for about six years, and we wanted a much larger one. The new model features remote control; but, apart from that, I cannot say it was an "upgrade." SunSetter's manufacturing standards have clearly dropped significantly over the past half-decade. Everything seemed more flimsy. As we did the first time, we ordered the unit through a SunSetter-Authorized Installer. They brought it in and installed it very professionally within one day.

Worst service I have ever seen, woman was fast in making the sale and then completely disappeared. She failed to mention two people are needed to open this thing even though we explained the circumstances and that husband would not be here all the time. We want to return this thing but she will not answer our phone calls. Even the installer could not reach her. WE are out $1,000 and we cannot use this thing. Very disappointed and don't know what to do next since she has not shown up or answered any of our calls. She should be put out of business.

My son-in-law has had a SunSetter awning for five years and enjoyed it very much. I have a very Western exposure and I needed something to cut all of the sun. It took about five weeks from purchasing to installation of my SunSetter awning and everything was terrific. I was very impressed with the fella that came in and gave us all the pertinent information as well as the people that installed the awning. We got a motorized model that's 16 feet wide and it's cream colored. It had to be readjusted today because it had to be more on a slant so that it would do a better job protecting the patio. And the same fella who installed it did the readjustment. He was here a half hour max and he was very careful and checked it thoroughly. So all seems to be under control and I'm looking forward to being able to use the awning.

I had put a SunSetter awning up when I moved into the house in 2000-2001. The components of the awning were stainless steel. The arms look like they were powder coated with very high paint quality. I covered the awning in the winter, and if it got rained on, I let it dry out before I rolled it back in. After almost 18 years, the fabric started to fade out a little bit. It aged well and I figured I wanted an awning in another part of the house too.

Our SunSetter awning works really nicely and it’s always reliable. SunSetter's sales team was good and they knew what they were talking about. The installers did a good job as well. It didn’t take them long to install our maroon motorized awning. Everything was good. Now, I can go out there when the sun is out. I'll be in the shade and I'm spending a lot more time outside now.

We have a lake house Trex deck that when it hits right at noon, we cannot use it unless we have some kind of a shading. So, besides putting a screen porch, cost-wise, we decided to go with an awning. Our deck is a big one, so we got the SunSetter's biggest motorized awning that covers the majority of the deck. SunSetter first came out with a laminate material which was cheaper, but knowing a little bit of difference in the materials that are used, the laminate will not last as long. So, the one we got is a new material that fades less, is woven, and has a longer warranty. The cost, on the other hand, was twice as much.

I had awnings before with SunSetter. They were years old and I was ready to get new ones, so we decided to get another one. My son ordered it for me. I sat there with him when he ordered them and the reps were just patient with him and they answered every question he asked. I couldn’t ask for nicer people to work with. We have the awnings up and I am enjoying them very much. And I've had a lot of compliments on them. The other ones that I had were manual and I always had to call my son and have him come out and install the awnings because they were too heavy for me to put up and take down. Now, these are the electric ones. It makes that much easier and I can do it myself and I don’t have to bother my son.

My SunSetter experience was very good and I have really enjoyed it. About 10 years ago, I thought of getting an awning and contacted them, but they said what I wanted could not be done. I used to have a portable canopy that I would put up every year, but because I'm wheelchair-bound now I can't do anything like that. I wanted to try Sunsetter again to see if we could do what I wanted differently. I called and this time they said they could do it, so I had it done. I had a good experience working with the rep. I was allowed to pick out the color. I also wanted it motorized and I was able to get that, as well as anything I wanted. I had it installed in our back deck where I get sun all the time and it's being mainly used for shade. The installation went very fine. They came over and had gotten it all set up and working in just a few hours. They did a very good job and I'm well satisfied.

We've been looking for an awning for a couple of years. The time was right and I decided to get a motorized VXL awning. I saw the ads at Costco on their online but the problem is there's no option if you want to buy the awning that way and then be able to contract with SunSetter to have it installed. So I looked at that and my contractor who does work for me absolutely refused to install it. He didn’t want liability, so it was difficult it cut some of my options. I got SunSetter's local dealer who gave me discounts on the installation but I wasn’t able to talk care of any of the sale items that they had through Costco -- the free hood, the free cover, the free closer and things that were included. I wasn’t able to avail myself of those because I had to get it through a dealer to get installed.

I would refer SunSetter Awnings just like the friend who referred it to me. Before SunSetter, I was getting the $500 ones from Home Depot and they were blowing away in the wind. We purchased a motorized SunSetter awning and our experience has been very good. They came and installed the unit. Then we had a couple of minor issues but they came out and resolved them quickly.

We purchased a smaller awning a year before and we wanted an awning for our deck. There were a lot of advertisements about SunSetter Awnings and we liked the quality of the one that we put the year before so we decided to go with SunSetter Awnings. They were great. The rep came here and was very, very courteous. We had to move a heap of furniture and they were very accommodating.

Jerry was very nice but I was kind of rude in the beginning. I didn't visualize it in my own mind with the way SunSetter designed the awning but I backed away and I was just sitting with some cash put away and not using it, so I called and told them to come over and install the awning. The installation went fine, and the awning turned out to be very nice. I like it.

I have a 15-feet wide and 10-feet long deck in the back of the house and I couldn't enjoy it in the sun in the afternoon. I've seen SunSetter Awnings a lot and they've been around a long time. I like that SunSetter's awning is retractable. When their salesperson came, I already made up my mind that I wanted it and it was just choosing the fabric which was very easy to do because of the color of my house. And I got a beige green striped awning. The installation was fine and the installers did it in one morning. They may have put it up a foot too high, but I can live with that.

We ordered a 10' awning from Sunsetter on May 2, 2018 (Shipment #1). #1 shipped on May 22, and Sunsetter took our $1089 on May 22. We were told one of us had to be at home all day to sign for it. When it came it was damaged. We sent it back. After 2 or 3 phone calls we were told another would be sent but our account would be charged (which we had to explain we already paid for it!). Shipment #2 was sent and we waited. Nothing came! We called again, and found out #2 got lost! The shipper didn't know where it was and neither did Sunsetter. Sunsetter apologized saying they would "expedite" the shipment of another one (#3) as though they were doing us a favor by putting a rush on it.

We couldn't sit or eat outside, all out in the sun so we got a motorized SunSetter awning and the man and woman we worked with were fantastic. They were real nice and friendly. You could talk to them and they would talk to you back. The installer said that was the first time he ever had to put an awning on a brick house, but he had no problem with it. I sat there and watched him. He took the time, measured everything and was good at it. We enjoy the awning. Get one because they're good.

Our house faces north and the sun beats down on the deck and into our big window, which is our eating area. We wanted something to help with the shade when we're outside and inside so I did some research. A family member had bought a SunSetter 15 years ago, and they've always raved about it. I also had a gentleman come out that sells SunSetter and other brands, and he recommended SunSetter for the best value. So I decided on getting a SunSetter awning.

I wanted something to put on the deck outside, and I'd like to sit out there but not get roasted. SunSetter Awning's price was right and I got a blue and motorized awning from them. Their installer was really nice. He was very informative when he showed me how to use the awning. But when he came to put the awning in, he didn't have the motor for it so he used one of his motors to put in. In addition, the stuff that we were supposed to get with it didn't come, and he had to figure out what was going on with that. I thought all of the stuff was supposed to come at the same time, but we got them two weeks later. Even our grill was late, and they said it would be here the week before they put up the awning. But we got it three weeks after we got the awning. Other than that, my experience with SunSetter was pretty decent. I've used the awning a couple of times and I like its quality.

I saw SunSetter's commercial on TV and then I saw that they had gotten awnings to a couple of my neighbors. I went over and looked at theirs and asked them how they liked it, and then, I decided to get a motorized one. The installers were good, knew what they were doing and they got it up. It was a little difficult because they had to come in the house and find some studs because they said it would never hold where they originally were gonna attach it. So they made sure that it was attached to something that was gonna hold it. I like my SunSetter awning. It works. I make sure that if I'm here, I put it out every day in the front. It keeps that part of the house cooler. But this summer, we had some good wind and the sun is out, but I'm afraid to leave it out because the wind might grab it and throw it. It lifts it up and down.

The motorized awning that I got from SunSetter is really nice. I really like it. They did a very good job and everything seems okay.

We've been wanting an awning for a long time and we just wanted to go. We've heard a lot about SunSetter Awnings and we liked their products. Their sales team was great. They came out on schedule and performed well. However, to get a hold of them, you have to leave a message and then they'd call back. It would have been nicer if you could call and set something up immediately. But other than that, it worked out really well. SunSetter came out and did the installation. It went well and was done all in one day. They worked really quickly and very professionally. They did a nice job. The awning is attached to the house. It's a tan color, and it is automatic, in and out. And it has the wind sensor on it. We put the awning out and it gives us shade. So far, we've only had one day where the wind was high enough to bring one of them down. Other than that, they stay out and we leave them.

The awning is very nice since it keeps the sun off the deck. I had an excellent experience with the Sunsetter team. It only took them a little more than an hour to complete the installation. By the time they got up here, they got down and got it out. Overall, Sunsetter was great.

MT Zion a professional Sun Setter installer - My one year old SunSetter Awnings fell down. I had purchased awning and wind sensor June 2017 for $4000 The company as per advertising stated can withstand 50-75 miles per hour winds. The day of this falling down we had 10-19 mile winds (as per 'National Weather' report) gusting and sensor did not close awning. Now I have damage awning, had to cancel 4th of July party that 10 minutes later would have injured a family member. SunSetter claims NO responsibility. I must pay $1000 to fix and enjoy my $4000 awning. If anyone is used to Pennsylvania weather this awning was used for 20 days prior to falling off and ripping my 4 told home.

We see SunSetter Awnings on TV a lot and we chose to purchase from them. I talked to the people from SunSetter by phone and they were good. The only thing that we had a problem with was the salesman that sold it to us. He didn't tell us that the awning we have . We wanted the18-foot awning but when we got the awning, it was 12-foot and the salesman didn't tell us about that. So, we were sort of disappointed. But other than that, we like the awning. It's in good shape and has a motor with it. I would tell others that they need to get an awning.

When I met SunSetter's salesman, I was impressed with his knowledge and his guarantee. He customized the awning to fit an existing deck that I had and I'm very happy with it. It's awesome and I love it. I use it mostly for shade as well as family gatherings and I'm very pleased with how it looks and its function. The guys who installed it were very professional and very helpful, too.

I was specific with the SunSetter salesperson that I wanted a wall-mount. I questioned whether or not it could be wall-mounted because if there was enough room on the soffit to get the awning mounted, and he said they can do that. He measured it and he did not pressure me into ordering the lights on the arms. But I wanted the lights, and I asked about that. I looked at the picture and the lights appeared to be in the arms themselves. And when it got here, the installers took one look at the back of the house and said they can’t put that on the wall and it's gonna have to be a roof mount.

We enjoyed the awning we had in our other home but we had gone with another company for that. The deck went out 18 feet and SunSetter couldn't cover it. We used the same type of fabric as SunSetter though. But for this house, we got a motorized SunSetter awning. It is 20 feet wide and it goes out 10 feet, which is as far as SunSetter can go. SunSetter's team was very professional when they came in. They did what they were supposed to and when something needed to be adjusted, they came back and adjusted it. They were a pleasure to work with and I've told friends to get SunSetter as well.

I ordered. Was told it would be shipped in days, it was two months but my credit card was charged immediately. No hardware or remote when it arrived, then long time to get that but they were not surprised so I assume this was intentional. Speculation: is the company going broke and can't afford inventory or to order supplies. Bought from them before but this is a different company--incompetent.

We just moved to a new house and a lot of sun came off of our patio that didn’t have a roof over it. Instead of putting something that was permanent because we don’t know if essentially later on down the road we would want it enclosed, we decided just to go with something that could possibly be temporary. We purchased the awning and the prices were better at SunSetter.

We have a lovely back deck that’s in the sun a lot of the time and I don’t like the sun so we decided to purchase an awning. We had priced out different awning companies, but we had seen the SunSetter at a home show. It was reasonably priced and a good product so we went with them. We got the 12-foot wide motorized awning with a solid blue fabric.

I moved into a fairly new house and we needed an awning out over the patio. I got the motorized model from SunSetter and it has the automatic withdrawal. We used to sit outside but we have dogs here in the neighborhood and they said the clubhouse was not a dog park. They kicked us out of it so, we would go to different houses in the afternoons and it worked great. We were using the patio a lot but it’s gotten too hot. SunSetter was excellent but look out for the length of time you get it. They were slow and they said the 16-foot awning was lost in the shipment. The rep said he would be here in three to four weeks and he didn’t show up until about six weeks. But when he got here, he was in and out in a couple of hours and the installation was good. I was satisfied, the awning works great and I’m very pleased with it.

When I finally had the money, I went ahead and purchased an awning as I've been looking at it for seven years. My experience with SunSetter Awnings sales-wise was fine, but getting the awning put up was the biggest headache I had. It took me over a month to find the right people to install it because it was pretty heavy. I was looking for a professional and I Googled it and then there were some specific people that actually do the SunSetter. And when I first spoke with them, everything was fine. I had the awning done within a couple of days and the guys told me that I got a good deal.

SunSetter Awnings have the most incompetent people in the region. The installers bore a hole down through the deck flooring to reach the lower level plug when they could've attached it to the plug that was already there. If they told us to do it, we would've done it at our expense, so they wouldn't have to bore a hole and run that ugly wire down to the sides of the patio. They also had to come three times to get us to sign the papers and we paid for it in cash, so it was awful. I was very displeased with the service. But, at this time, the motorized awning is functioning well.

We needed more time on our deck and more room if we had a large umbrella. The salesman from SunSetter was much different than the first one we had had come out to the house, and he was just being honest and sold us. We have a pool and got the awning installed by the deck. It was a good experience overall, and I would recommend them.

The SunSetter motorized awning is a good buy and I'd recommend it. We wanted to keep this heat out and the awning has been working fine. The team who set it up had to work for four hours and they were good boys too.

We live in a subdivision where we have to meet all the codes and to put a top on our deck, it would have cost us 30,000 or 40,000 because we would have had to take the roof off to go to the highest peak. We went with SunSetter because of their name, and our experience with the rep was very good. The installation went well too, except for the person who mismeasured. The awning was a little bit too long and too wide, and we had to wait a little longer and let them re-order. Once, the weather got extremely bad, and I told my husband that the awning was going up in the air. All at once, it started rolling in so we were pleased that it worked. Right now, I'm sitting under it because it is very cool. I have also recommended them to a physician that we go to church with. I invited him to come and look. He thought you had to have a post put out, but I said, "Oh no, you don't."

We've got an enclosed patio that the sun hits a lot it keeps turning off heat so we decided to buy an awning. We had some estimates from other companies for different kinds and we decided that SunSetter Awnings is the cheapest. Also, their sales team had a nice attitude. We received the awning in about a week. The husband and wife team who did the installation were very nice. They got here 10:00 o’clock in the morning and left at 3:00 in the afternoon. We got an awning that has a motor. It is red and gold in color and it retracts itself. Having this awning has extended our outdoor living area.

I had a SunSetter awning last year. We've put it on the patio and we liked it very much. It did a super job for us to sit out there. However, we had a light ice one night and we forgot to roll it in all the way. The ice compacted and it broke the awning. When I called my insurance, they said they didn't cover it. But I wanted another one and while it was a double expense since I just bought one a year ago, the awning did what we wanted. It cooled the patio off. We also pulled it out to protect the flowers in our house, so we were just very pleased with it.

We moved to a new place where we now have an atrium. We like to be outside, but it was very hot to be outside in this place with the sun, and we wanted to have a corner where we could relax. I went online and saw the SunSetter awning, and I decided to buy it. I wanted to order an awning with stripes but I couldn’t get the one with stripes because it wasn't motorized. When you get to a certain age, the power should be in the device. So, I just got the plain, motorized one and but it’s fine, but it took a long time to receive it. The awning that we got is nice and I’m happy that we have it, but I also had to wait for quite a while until somebody installed it. When it was first installed, the remote did not work so they had to send us another one, and this took quite a while and I was not happy about that. But our awning is working now. I wanted the SunSetter awning and I like it.

My parents recommended me to SunSetter and they’ve had theirs for about seven years and love it. SunSetter was very helpful and professional. They were great with my son as well. The installation was smooth and the awning did settle. We have a young son and one on the way, so I can sit on the awning with the baby while the other one plays in the yard. I have recommended them and will continue to do so.

We had a deck that we've never used because it was so hot and sunny that it was almost unusable. We're just at 90 degrees right now and we wouldn't be able to use it unless we had an awning. SunSetter's good reputation made me choose them. Plus, I like the electronic part of it. It's automated. When I went online with SunSetter, they gave me a vendor that was in my region. It's a small company. I called and the owner came to the house. He took measurements, showed me the choices, the fabrics and the extra options. After picking out what we wanted, he had his staff call me. Then I just gave my credit card over the phone to his wife who was the customer service.

I put a deck on last year and I wanted someplace to be out of the sun, so we decided to purchase an awning. I knew someone else that uses SunSetter, so I went with them, too. Everything went fine with the SunSetter team. The installers were in and out of here in no time at all and they did a very good job. However, they were late the first time and their timing was a little off, although it was not that late. The awning that we purchased is motorized, cream in color, and connected to the roofs. It's been darn hot and I've been using it, but I close it at night. I would tell my friends to give SunSetter a try and see if they could afford to have one and to put one in.

We have a deck that faces out to the south and it's in full sun for the majority of the day. It was just too hot to sit out there. SunSetter was available and the installers were about an hour away from us. When they came to install it, they took a couple of soffit pieces out from the ceiling of our deck and found that there was nothing to support the awning, so we had to put a beam in there so they could hang it up. We could not install it above the window because of how our house was built and we had to install it out further. It would be nice to know that you could possibly run into this when installing one of these awnings. It took us a while to put the beam up ourselves and we also had to order new soffit through the process. Other than that, the motorized awning from SunSetter is very nice and we really like it.

It was sunny coming in our window. I saw a SunSetter Awnings ad and there was a coupon for money off. Their salesman was great as well as the installers and it took less than an hour to set up the awning. It goes across two big windows and the quality is very good. It's motorized and vinyl with black, blue and white stripes. We use it everyday. I'd tell my friends that if they need an awning, they should get a SunSetter one.

My other house doesn’t have any porches. My neighbor showed me their SunSetter awning that they had for years and it was well-built and I wanted something that’d be durable. The SunSetter representative was so nice and I enjoyed talking to him. He was punctual and he also helped out in choosing the color. It took him a couple of hours to install and he was very professional about it. It is a freestanding electric model. We had to put it on the roof and I got the one with the grey and a darker black stripes. It looks good because the roof of my house is grey. The awning keeps my house cooler because I have sliding glass doors that make it into another room. Before, the porch was too hot. Now, my dog can go out there and enjoy running around a little bit. Everybody that comes to see the awning, I tell them who made it and that I was very happy with the service. I wish every company I dealt with was as good as SunSetter Awnings.

When I ordered the product and it was delivered, everything was fine. I got SunSetter's motorized model, installed it myself and got it done. I've used it for relaxation. I also bought an extra warranty for five years and so far, everything's okay.

My wife likes to sit on the pool deck by herself. But there was too much sun on the pool deck and she wanted some shade. I saw the advertisement for SunSetter on TV and I liked it. They have a very professional and courteous team. We got the motorized type of awning, and their staff explained to me and showed me how to work the awning here. Our experience with SunSetter is awesome and my wife is loving it. We had our family reunion at the house and we used awning as well.

I had to replace my old awning. I went with SunSetter and their reps were very nice. They answered my questions and showed me how the awning worked. It's an automatic and they made sure it worked. I got the largest one which is a 20-footer and it has white stripes with blue. The installation went very quickly and very efficiently. They took the old frame down because it was broken then they put the new frame up and loaded the old one away. The SunSetter awning was expensive but it's nice and I would tell friends to buy one.

I love Sunsetter Awnings. I had an awning for 15 years, and two years ago when I sold my house, it was still working beautifully and I was happy with that, so I went for the big one this time. I got a push button awning that's 16 feet wide. And since we live on top of the hills, I purchased the type that rolls up by itself if it gets too windy. The installers were also really good and very nice. It didn't take very long for them to install the awning. I use the awning nearly everyday because it shades my deck right off the house and I'm just very happy with it.

It was hot in our area, I saw SunSetter Awnings' ad, read it and decided that’s what I wanted. My experience with the reps was great and they seemed to care about what I needed to order, why and how I wanted it. I got the blue motorized awning and it covered our back porch. Me and my two buddies put it up which took about an hour. It has a wind sensor on it and I had little trouble with that. At first use, the little wind thing didn’t wanna work and the awning would come in after about 20 minutes. It would be extended and it was just going by itself. The guy from customer service walked me through it and we eventually got it worked out. If somebody is looking for an awning, the SunSetter awning is the kind they would want.

SunSetter did a good job installing the awning. But there was a delay in the appointment by one day because there was something missing out of the package. They were supposed to do it on a Friday but they called and asked if it would be all right on a Monday because they were tied up with the work they were doing on the Friday. I bought the awning for my wife because she has a really bad problem with the eyes. But she passed away on a Sunday, so they were a day late. She didn’t get to see it. But they did give me an opportunity to cancel the order, and they refunded my deposit. But it’s a memory and I still added value to the house. So I them come out on a Sunday and install it for me. I’m enjoying it so far. And I’ve recommended them to a couple of people.

A commercial from SunSetter Awnings came up and I called them and their rep came to the house. When he was there, I got a phone call that my sister went to the hospital. I tired going to three companies that they referred me to and they wanted to charge me a ridiculous price so I ended up paying somebody privately to come in.

I'm very pleased with SunSetter. I needed it and spent $10,000 for the front and back. The sales rep was very good. He came the first time and my son made the deal and then he came the second time and we made another deal for the front because the front awning that we had for many years from another provider broke. They left the remote. I would have loved something like I had before that I press the button on the wall, but they didn’t have that. But they had the remote control that’s now with a pin on the wall so it does it with the same thing. My daughter-in-law chose the fabric and it came out very nice. I like it and I don’t get the sun in my eyes.

Since it was a limited area, the salesperson from SunSetter Awnings took the time to explain how different lengths awnings go out away from the house and which one I have to use to fit in the space that I had available. I had a good experience with him. We got a 13-foot awning in light brown that's motorized. I had SunSetter install it and it took them 15 minutes to set everything up which was surprisingly fast. Since it's super hot here, we use the awning as shade. We have all the windows on that side of the house and it keeps the sun off in the morning. We've told some of our neighbors to get SunSetter Awnings.

I am very unhappy with the service I am receiving (as this is an on-going nightmare) as I will never order another product from this company or recommend this company to anyone. On 25 May 2018, I ordered a Sunsetter Awning for my patio deck. As of the date of this review (1 July 2018), I still have not received my awning however, Sunsetter Awning has continued to charge my credit card the past two months. When I inquired about the status of my awning, Sunsetter referred me to UPS, the agent they contracted to deliver the product. Sunsetter considered this matter closed and informed me that all future discussion should be addressed to UPS. How can you as the vendor for the sale of your product have no liability in the delivery of the product?

I love SunSetter Awnings. I bought two awnings, one motorized and one manual. Their team was very helpful and did a great job. I'm very happy with the way they did the job, the time they did it, and the follow up they did. A guy came and did the measuring. They got here a day earlier than they expected and they were here the whole day. The awnings are high. One is 18 feet, the longest they make. The other is 14 feet long and it's L-shaped. The awnings worked perfectly for my situation and I couldn't be happier. I use the awning every day. I have a pool and I go out there and have a coffee in the morning in the shade and then in the evening, I have a cocktail. I have 16 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids so I have a lot of people down that get in the pool and enjoy the awning. I'm very satisfied with SunSetter.

I purchased an awning from SunSetter for my back porch and it was a very nice experience. The people were very nice and did a great job, the installation was fine, and everything's working well. I use the awning every day. I would recommend it.

A representative from SunSetter came, did the measuring, and showed us the different fabrics. Then they called us and tried to reschedule our installation. They told us the installer had double booked himself. However, they were playing with the truth because the installer said he had not. It was just that they wanted him to do another errand for them. So that was a ding in their box. But the installer was wonderful. He was also very nice and personable. He was very knowledgeable too. And although there was a little bit of an issue in the installation from the measurements that were done, he was able to work with it and correct it.

Last year, I was sitting out on the porch on the deck and it was so hot that I couldn't sit there. Since I live with my sister, I asked her if we could put up an awning and she said to go ahead. I bought the awning from SunSetter and I love it. It's great. The sales rep was a nice kid and two men came down to install the awning in no time. We got the most expensive one which is motorized. We use the awning everyday. We have one little boy living here and he wants to eat breakfast and supper out there all the time.

We dealt with another company before but they didn't have time to get it up for us. So I called SunSetter and talked to Dave. He came right out and got it up right away. He did a really good job. We paid around $3900 for our awning, but we really like it. We got the free light and screens to go with it. And that one screen really helps on the north side because it don’t let the sun in to us. And then we have that sensor on there and that works real good. We have the awning out now and the wind would come up like 20 miles an hour or so. We got that sensor on there and it would come back in by itself. Even with that screen and the lights tucked onto it, it still comes in.

When I placed my order I was told 3-4 week to be installed. We are on week 9 and still do not have my order. The distributor that we went with was blaming the delay on back up orders (it would have been nice if they got on the phone rather than me). When I had not heard anything from anybody, I called SunSetter directly. I spoke to several managers and they all said they were going to escalate my order to the top of the list. I still do not have my shade. I will never recommend this company to anybody.

The sun sets on the backyard, right on my deck. I did not have the chance to use it up as it was difficult until I purchased the SunSetter awning. It was a nice solution because it was not as expensive as doing a real roof on top of the deck. The installers said they were coming at a certain time on a certain day, and they did. They installed the awning within one hour. We can now use the area and in the evening when it's dark, it's still good because the light reflects from the awning that you feel like you're inside the house. We love the awning and the experience has been wonderful. I would recommend it.

I wanted the shade and I've heard quite a bit about SunSetter Awnings, but I couldn't get one because they didn’t have the height. Then, they came out with a roof mount and that was when I decided to get it. The reps were wonderful. They explained everything prior to getting the awning and then after I got it, they showed me different things like if the remote didn’t work, I could crank it. I went over with them really well. There were three guys who did the installation because it's a 20-foot awning and they worked as if they had been changing tires on cars for years. They knew what they were doing and they went right on. I would highly recommend SunSetter.

I've seen SunSetter Awnings on TV and it was a deceiving commercial. They said you can get a SunSetter awning for $500 or so but it ended up different. It was the cheaper type that you use on the side of the camper. We got a 14-foot long awning from them, which was a good size. It’s motorized and it's attached to the house. The salesman said, “Well, it only takes a minute to roll it in,” but it took a lot longer than that. The people that sold it came out to install it, took them about two hours and they showed us how to use it. If I'd be asked by my friends about SunSetter, I’d tell them not to look at the ad on TV. Nonetheless, our SunSetter awning works good.

I had another awning but it was old and wasn’t opening up anymore so I decided to take it off my camper and order a new free-standing awning from Sunsetter. The installation team came and set it up for me. I had a very good experience with the SunSetter team and I was able to customize on the fabric I wanted.

Our awning has been great. And I got it put out with my own help, the guy that does my lawn, and my son who is a master mechanic and I have enjoyed every second of it. However, there was some difficulty because the underlying plywood of the overhang had to be removed to get access to the roof rafter, but the guys knew how to do it and put it back. The SunSetter reps I dealt with seemed knowledgeable, and everybody spoke in plain English. The team did what they said they were gonna do. I also priced the local guys and their fee was exactly double that of SunSetter. I love to show our awning off to friends and family. I'd recommend it to anybody.

We bought an awning about 2 years ago. About 2 months ago, it collapsed due to rain. I contacted SunSetter and they informed us that the awning was covered for 5 years. We were told when we bought it, there was a lifetime warranty. Although the side rails were covered, the fabric was not. Wanting to charge us over $200 for the fabric. So much for the lifetime warranty. So, we ordered the side rails. As of this day, we have not received them. SunSetter continues to say the rails are on back order. My question is, how are they selling awnings if the rails are on backorder. We spent a lot of money there. Seems like take care of new customers and to hell with the old customers. Will not buy anything from this company again.

Getting an awning looked like it would fit our needs better than atriums. We went with SunSetter and the guys I ordered the awning from were very professional. They measured and installed the 14 wide and 10 long awning I got. They came out and it took them a couple of hours to install. However, I wish that SunSetter quits sending me stuff telling me that they want me to buy an awning. I already bought one but still I get stuff every week from them. Nevertheless, I appreciate that the awning rolls back up when the wind gets too strong. It keeps it from tearing. Still, I didn't realize that it was that sensitive. There have been a lot of days when the wind is blowing and I'd like to be out but I can't. In that respect, I wish I'd gone the other way with the permanent awning.

I had an awesome experience with SunSetter Awnings. We got a 20x20 awning on our brand new deck. The awning was kind of round and tan with the black large stripes. It’s motorized and have the lights on it. The folks who installed it were very friendly. They knew what they were doing. The only thing was that they had some exposed wire up against the house. You could see a little bit of the wire hanging down and my husband is very picky about that kind of stuff. Other than that, the installation was great. I highly recommend SunSetter as well as the rep that we had. He was really on top of things. If I had a question, he called right back. He even called and checked on how we liked it. He was just great.

John saw the advertisement of SunSetter Awnings, tore it out of the paper and told me to read about it. I liked the way it looked and he said we needed one. John usually gets what he wants and we got a motorized awning with reddish stripes going down and beige. I like every way the SunSetter team treated me. Brian sold it to us and he was kind and sweet. He and his brother came and helped put it up. They were both sweet and kind and you couldn’t ask for anybody nicer.

I am writing this review for my Mother and Father-in-law in Centerville, IN who purchased a motorized SunSetter awning for over $8,000.00. last summer. While visiting there last week my in-laws who are in their 80's could not get their awning to roll out without it catching on the gutter making it impossible to use unless someone stands on a ladder and pulls the awning up over the gutters. My husband called the 800 number listed and ask for technical support. We made many calls and got no response from SunSetter Awnings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. For elderly people to spend their retirement money on a motorized awning and it not work and not get a call back. We were told the awning was installed by the saleslady's husband and a friend of his. Obviously it wasn't installed properly. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY PURCHASING FROM SUNSETTER AWNINGS!!!

I called SunSetter and got their Nutmeg awning. It's automatic and standard size, and it's the best thing I've bought since I've been here because of the heat.

We’ve been seeing SunSetter Awnings advertised and I purchased an awning from them which was an impulse buy. I retired last year, but I went back to work because I was bored. And I told myself that if I’m gonna go back to work, I’m gonna get stuff that I want for the house. I had a very good experience with SunSetter's team. They were very friendly, helpful, and down to earth. My house is old and they didn’t make it sound like it. They were very professional.

I inquired online with SunSetter Awnings and the installer called me back and he was great. Then they went to work and finished up three hours later. We got the motorized awning and the quality is fabulous. We've used our deck more this year than we did the last six years combined.

My mom was looking for an awning and I saw SunSetter's ad on TV. We went to the nearest dealer and found them. I met with the sales team and they were very professional. They did a nice job explaining it. We had to decide on colors and the rep gave us his opinion and we found the color and they did the installation. It took about three hours to install, but they did a really nice job and cleaned up after themselves. And we've been very happy. My mom is handicapped, so she doesn’t get around. She’s 82 and the remote is awesome because she can put it out and put it in by herself, and she doesn’t have to call me and have me come over. It looks nice on the house and we’ve been very satisfied.

This is the third time we purchased from SunSetter Awnings over the years. We have a sun-washed deck and we needed an awning. In the past, we've experienced quality product from SunSetter and their product acquisition price is reasonable for the return, so we stuck with them. We got a sand-colored one which is high-end and has the sensor for gusty wind conditions. We use it mostly in the morning and late afternoon to make the deck area more pleasant and for sitting in the shade. We’re very pleased with it as well as with the contractor who installed it. I’ve had several friends who asked about the awning.

I like the way they look and their colors. Also, their team was very nice and intelligent. They did a good job putting it up. So far, everything is fine.

Also, some other people in the area where I live in who have an awning all have SunSetter. The company's team was very helpful. They wanted to make sure that I have the height that I needed.

We weren't using the other half of our patio. We have a screened in porch and the extended patio and I needed more space out back that was usable. I had looked at SunSetter years ago and I really like the way they're made and the fabrics. So, I didn't even consider any other brands when I bought an awning because I was kind of impressed with what SunSetter had to offer. They also did the installation and all of them were very nice. We had a trouble with the motor, but they came out and fixed that. Everything's fine right now.

We built a double-deck in 2015 and the upper deck was always rather hot because it’s on the south side of the house. We started thinking we may want a SunSetter, but we never did anything about it. In March or April of this year, we went to the home show in West Springfield close by to our house and there was a SunSetter display there. I told my husband that I didn’t know if we really need it and then, when we went to the show, I told him that we would just get some information. But when Sergei came and sat down with us and explained everything to us, we decided to do it. We asked some questions and the gentleman was full of information and was very friendly. He was very easy to speak with and to ask questions from and he took his time with us.

Our deck in the summertime gets really hot. We don't have any shade back there so we decided it was time to purchase an awning. The SunSetter team was here when they said they would be and they were proficient. We got a motorized awning and the installation team was excellent. We're satisfied with the product and we've set with the neighbor to sit out there just to read the paper and hang out outside.

I wanted an awning on one on the side of the house and I didn't care about aluminum sidings as I've seen them collapse on the snow. SunSetter's salesman told me everything and I got a 10 x 16 motorized awning that is brick red with a stripe in it. Their team came, installed it and the experience was great. The only problem was they advertised on TV that I could get it for as low as $500 if I'd get a tiny one but what they were showing on TV was not the one that would be $500. Mine started at $2,900. Other than that, I like the awning. I also like that it doesn’t have to stay out all the time and I have a remote to pull it in.

Over my deck, it gets really hot there from the sun. I heard SunSetter had good products so I got an awning. The installers were quick. I had to go to a place about 40-mile away and when I came back two hours later, they were gone and the work was done. However, I had to redo the wiring for the motor on the awning. The salesman that came out told me that they would put the cord to my socket but the installers said they couldn’t do that because they didn't want to go on my roof. So, I went out and did it myself. I got the loads and got some brackets which cost me a little extra.

I purchased an awning from SunSetter because I wanted to protect myself from the sun at my little hobby shop and keep the cancer off my head and my back. The awning has the best quality. The installers and the other guys I bought it from did a good job. I have a motorized, sand and burgundy colored awning with LED lights and it's very beautiful. Mine is actually different because the guys said it's the highest they ever mounted. They mounted it up 12 feet because it's above a 12-foot working door. But it works very nice and I love it.

I've seen SunSetter Awnings' advertising off and on over the years. I actually did sit in for one of their packages and watched a video. It's just that I have a patio and an eastern exposure, which is really, really sunny, and getting an awning just made sense. I wanted the shade for obvious reasons, rain protection, but I also wanted the ability to open it up because I didn't want to shade all my plants over there all day long. I needed something that would open and close, depending on when and where I was using it.

Really like it but kinda wish we had gotten the motorized version... It's not quite as easy to roll out as shown and my wife is having trouble with it. Maybe in time, as we get use to it, it will get easier to use. Other than that we are pleased...

My fastidious brother-in-law told me about SunSetter since he knows everybody in our town. We purchased a 12-foot motorized awning from them. Since getting our SunSetter, it has done its job. We have direct sun throughout the day and it blocks the sun when we're out. We have a deck and the awning covers a good part of it. It's very comfortable. However, the installers left a piece of canvas. They rolled it up and all of a sudden, when they left, it was behind the door and I don't know what to do with it.

We just had built a deck and needed a sun shade. We've seen the advertisements of SunSetter Awnings and then I talked to a representative. Everything was as we expected and so we moved ahead and purchased a motorized awning. The rep was knowledgeable and he answered the questions we had. The installation was great as well. We thought that there was gonna have to be some custom woodworking done but the installer was able to do that without having to cut any of the existing wood. We're very satisfied with SunSetter. The awning looks great and it has given us exactly what we were hoping for.

My friend told me about SunSetter Awnings because she was supposed to get a discount if she told someone else about it. I contacted SunSetter and they gave me a name that was in my area. I purchased a SunSetter awning from there for about $3600 and I love it as it’s good. However, the process wasn't nice. When I went to get the $100 for my friend, nothing happened. SunSetter told me that they didn’t deal with it and it was the company that I dealt with. I could have looked elsewhere but my friend gave me this offer. I will never call the place that I dealt with again because they kept telling me that I would get this and that but it didn’t happen and no one wanted to claim responsibility. They said, "Oh, no! You had to get it through SunSetter to get the $100." But SunSetter said they didn't have anybody. And you had to go through someone. So, it's not legit. SunSetter Awnings didn't come true with their advertising.

We needed some shade on my back porch. We ordered a motorized SunSetter awning and it came in quickly. The installer did a good job and he was quick, very nice, very professional, and very thorough. The price of the awning was about right for the size that I have. And I’m very pleased with it. It was too hot to eat on the porch before and with our SunSetter awning, we can eat outside which we can also do when it’s raining. I’m enjoying my awning and if that’s what my friends really want, I'd tell them to go ahead and buy it.

I had my first SunSetter awning for about eight years but I had claimed on it on my homeowners’ insurance ‘cause it was a manual and it took a hit on some hail. We ordered over the phone and the team was fantastic and nice. But when I got the second one delivered, there was no proof of purchase. I need that to settle my claim with State Farm and I called SunSetter. The lady said they would get it out to me but I think she said about 10 days and it's been at least that, yet I’m still waiting for it. On the other hand, my brother had put the awning up and it's absolutely beautiful. It’s 18 x 11½ with gray-and-cream stripes, and it’s fully automatic. It folds up and goes away underneath its cover. SunSetter can come to my house and make a commercial ‘cause it’s so beautiful. My house is all-windows and the sun heats up the house so I put the awning out every morning and I would tell others to get one as well. You'd be stupid not to.

We got in touch with Sunsetter after our old awning wouldn't work. Their rep that I worked with was always on time, and he explained everything beforehand. He went far beyond what we expected. I would recommend him to anybody. Also, the installation went very well. SunSetter is backed by good housekeeping and we like that. We've had the awning for about six weeks now and it has been excellent. We had an extremely good experience with Sunsetter Awnings and we recommend them to others.

We recently retired and are home more during the day, and it’s very sunny in the backyard during the day. The company we used and the sales guy that we went through were very good. We were very satisfied with the salesman. We purchased an 11 x 19 automatic remote-controlled awning in evergreen color, and the installation experience was very good and informative too.

SunSetter Awnings is a quality brand. We had an awning already in the same location. It’s a SunSetter awning, but we felt it was a bit old. It wasn’t functioning exactly the way we wanted it to and it was too short. The local distributor was very responsive, helpful and easy to do business with. Also, the installer was excellent, but there were some challenges with the installation itself. The product was not working exactly as it needed to so it required the installer to swap out the motor. And subsequent to that, we’ve noticed that the awning was not closing properly. It’s closing and then it’s reopening itself automatically. We’re talking to the distributor to make arrangements to do some repair, but we’re generally happy with the install.

The patio gets the sun all day and we couldn’t go out there when it was hot. My neighbor was in the same situation and I saw that she had an awning from Sunsetter so we bought one and now, we can sit out on the patio. We’re very pleased with it and we’re enjoying it. The people were very nice and there was no problem working with them. We have the motorized awning with a very pale stripe. The installers came and did their job. They put it up in half a day and they did it with no mess.

Everything was great with SunSetter and the guy that put up the awning wonderful. This is a motorized 20-footer and he came in with two other guys, and they were done in 15 to half an hour. They were that good and I really appreciate somebody that knows his job and can get that thing done like that. I got a $10,000-porch in the back and I didn’t use it, so we put SunSetter up and we’re using it now. The awning is the perfect thing that I wanted back there. I’ve been out on the porch twice when the awning was open and I enjoyed having it like that because I can see where we’re gonna have a lot of shade. The sun beats up there, so I will open it every morning. I will go out there and I have a little DVD player that I can go out there with. I also have a radio and I might take a book or a magazine out there. Come summer, we have the neighborhood fireworks get-together and I’ll use it during the day and put it back up before they shoot fireworks off.

We’re coming into the summer months and I wanna be having barbecues. And it’s gonna be perfect to have an awning with family members coming around and we don’t have to worry about rain or anything interrupting our festivities. I saw SunSetter Awnings on TV and after looking at the commercial, I went online to look at it and I called the one that was provided in South Carolina. I also got the videos online to show me how the motorized awning works and the type of material. And when the representative came by, I got more information and it was very helpful after me looking online.

We moved into a new house and the back of the house faces south where it would get sun all day. Being a cancer patient, I can’t be in the sun all day. So, an awning was the best thing that I could get as I couldn’t put up a permanent one since I’m in a condo situation where it had to be approved. A SunSetter awning was the only one that I could get on there. I talked to a sales representative of SunSetter and he gave me the colors to choose from, but that again was up to the condo community's rules and I could only choose one color which I’m not fond. I got the awning that’s electric or motorized, and it comes out by itself. SunSetter put the awning in last October and I was surprised that they came out because it was snowing. I figured that they wouldn’t come out until the spring, but they put it up right away. The installation was fast and easy and, so far, I'm pleased with the awning.

I had rebuilt my patio outside, and I needed an awning for it. SunSetter Awnings is a well-established brand and per quality, my dollar was well-used using them. I ordered a brown, striped, motorized awning and I use it all the time in the morning and afternoon for the sun. I also have social get-togethers out there on my patio. I ordered it through Patico Awning in Houston and they put it up. When they started putting in the bracket, they just used their knuckles to find the studs. There are seams in the siding and all they had to do was find that seam and go up straight from it then they'd have hit the studs. They made at least three holes before they found the stud and I wasn't happy about that. They said that they'd just fill it full of caulk.

SunSetter is in my hometown and at first, they were very good. They came out promptly and gave all the information, and it looks like a good product so we bought it. The installation was terrific. It was put up right on time and we were happy with it. But we’ve experienced some trouble with our SunSetter and they haven’t come out to take a look at it. When it rains, the water pools in the middle of the awning and collects so much that it creates a lot of weight and deforms the awning. That is a little bothersome, but other than that, it's great. We use the awning when we eat out and we have coffee out there. I would tell others to make sure when they put the awning in that they got the right pitch on it and to think about which one they want. SunSetter has products too as far as they can put in different types of awnings.

I have a deck that gets uncomfortably hot and the umbrellas don't seem to do the trick and are always blowing over. I tried to get a SunSetter awning the year before and the installer they hooked me up with, canceled on me several times. Then he wanted to make a third appointment but I didn’t make that appointment with him and just bought an umbrella. Then this year, my husband and I discussed trying again but I better not get the same installer because I'm not gonna use him. But the guy that responded this time was just a couple of towns over and he came for the estimate and the installation and he never canceled me. He was very knowledgeable, very down-to-earth and easy to have around the house working. I was very happy with him. He was quick, clean and he also showed me how to do everything once it was done.

I thought I'd splurge and get myself a roof over the thing out there and get me a chair and watch it rain. I started to make this move a year ago so I made it in my mind to get it done but I didn’t know any other awning companies except SunSetter Awnings. I got the automatic motor roller to roll it back in. I wanted first class and it's the best they're making. There was a lot of green color in the awning but I don’t care what color it is as long as it covers and saves my bald head. Because I'd burn the hair off the top of my head out there at three o'clock in the afternoon. It was terrible.

I have had a terrible experience with SunSetter Awnings. I went on their website in March and asked for one of their local dealers to contact me. I was contacted and the dealer came out 3/7/18. The awning was ordered March 7, 2018. We wanted a nice awning, we ordered an 18' motorized awning, retractable, wind sensors, LED lights, made with Captain's Watch fabric, with the motor on the left side. When delivered, the awning was the wrong color and the motor was on the wrong side. The correct fabric was installed May 14, 2018. We adapted the electric for the motor. We enjoyed the awning, including Saturday, May 26, 2018 which was a very sunny warm day. During the night, we had an unpredicted rain storm and the awning collapsed, due to water pooling on the awning, breaking the arms. For this to happen, in my mind this is poor engineering, the water could not drain.

My SunSetter was professionally installed yesterday. Love it in the mornings but after 5 pm, due to the west location, very hot cannot enjoy. The installers were very professional and polite. Would recommend this for anyone who doesn't have west sun.

I already have an awning but I wanted one that had a remote control as it was much easier. I’m in my 80s and I got tired of having to line the awning back and forth. When I purchased the awning, I went direct expense at it and spoke with a SunSetter sales representative. I did it with SunSetter because there was a deal for a Costco member which I am a member. SunSetter sent it to Hawaii but I didn’t get the discount and I had to pay the postage for the actual delivery which was expensive. But I was perfectly happy with the service and with the people that I dealt with. The awning I got was an 18 foot and I had my own people install it. I’m happy with SunSetter and I use the awning in the evening when I sit around.

I have a deck and I've always wanted an awning. I went to the Fort Wayne Coliseum for a home and garden show and saw SunSetter's ad there and talked to their salesman. He said he would come out and give me an estimate. He did and I thought it was reasonable. Also, I liked the salesman and I got along with him great. The awning that we have is 14-feet wide and has the electric motor on it. I use it when I sit on my deck and I really enjoy it. That's about most Sunday afternoons. If anyone asks about my awning, I would give them SunSetter's number and tell them to go with SunSetter.

I have afternoon sun and I needed something so I could sit outside on my patio. I liked the idea that the awnings from SunSetter are retractable. I also had seen one at a friend's house and I know that they like it. I called SunSetter and then someone called on me and came. The person treated me very well and was very helpful. Then the installation team was very good and didn't take very long. I got a motorized awning and I have a remote control for it. It's a tan color and the striping is brown and white. Now, I go out there and take care of my flowers. The SunSetter awning works great. So if you are looking into getting a SunSetter awning, go for it. In fact, my daughter and her husband are thinking of getting one.

The sun faded the furniture in our other house and now that we're in a new house, we decided not to let that happen here. The SunSetter salesman who came to our new home was helpful and his knowledge for their product was good. We got the 12 x 16 feet awning and it's motorized. The installers were very knowledgeable and they did a good job. It took them less than an hour to do it. So far, we've used the awning a lot. We put it out when the sun comes up at about three, then we leave it until around 7:30 or 8. Everything is fine except that if the wind comes up and the awning is out, we have no idea how the sensor works, so we need to call SunSetter about that.

We've seen a SunSetter Awnings flyer over at J.C. Penney's that I’ve been seeing on TV too and decided to go for it. We got a brand-new 12 x 20 motorized awning and had a good experience with their team during purchase. Everything went smooth and the installation went fine as well. I'd tell people getting a SunSetter is a good idea.

I've had an awning for eight years and that was kind of a pain. So, I decided to get one that would run remote. I got a SunSetter and I had good luck with it. I got a neighbor up there that has put them up for years. He came down and got a couple of guys to help him and they did that in about 45 minutes, so he knows his business. I'm out there in northern New York and they have the nicest place to live in the summer. So, when the weather is nice, we go outside and enjoy it. Mosquitoes drive us nuts, but now SunSetter has got some stuff out that is supposed to help but that depends on the way the wind blows. With my experience with them, I'd buy another SunSetter awning and that's what I'd put up again.

The sun just shoots down right on the back side of the deck and the grandkid plays out there. We wanted something to cover it so my dad looked around online and found SunSetter Awnings. We got the motorized version and my dad’s friend who is a contractor helped install it. It was easy. We love the awning and we use it while playing with the baby and when we eat like when we have breakfast.

I had put a deck at the back of my yard and it gets hot in Tennessee and I wanted to cover it up. SunSetter Awnings' sales representative was okay but I haven’t heard from him since the installation. It would have been nice to have the manager or the salesman do a follow-up after the installation. Their installers were nice but there were some bolts that were attached to the building that they forgot to tighten down. They did when I asked them but they tried to tighten them down after the awning was already up. And it looks like they were in a hurry because they’ve got other things to do. The overall quality of the awning is good. However, I had to put the back sink because the guy that sold it to me didn’t check the eaves to see if I had rafter tails. Nonetheless, I will recommend this awning to anybody but you have to install it yourself. So far, it’s doing its purpose for me and I like it.

I'm very impressed with SunSetter Awnings. We bought a home in the country and it is all sunny. I had been checking SunSetter out for a long time and it was just what I wanted. Their representatives were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable and personable as well. When they came out to the house and showed me the product, they were not pushy. I knew at the time I wanted to buy one. I purchased a big one, a 14x20. It's tan, grey and burgundy, and everything is motorized.

We did some remodeling and purchased our second SunSetter awning. The other one we had was a manual and this one's an electric in the same size but a different color. We have it opened when we're outside and it keeps things cool around the back. It was a good purchase.

When SunSetter installed the awning, it was nice and they were sweet. But the slope of it was too low and I asked if I could have it a little higher. They said that it was standard and I should keep it like that so I was happy. They also told me that if ever I wanna raise it, they would be happy to do it and they gave me the name of somebody I could call. A week and a half later, my buddy, a tall dude, came over and said that the awning was really low. It was 4 feet up but when it came down, it was around 7 feet. It was crappy the way the people installed it. And when I called back and said I wanted to raise it, the guy gave me the runaround for three days. They set a date but it changed then it changed into another one. They were supposed to show up at around 2:00 but they never called me back. I called them back around 5:00 o’clock and they said that the truck broke down.

I bought a smaller house and I wanted a little patio. I got a 10 x 10 awning with the motorized remote control from SunSetter Awnings. I had a fine experience with their team and they did a really good job. Their representative was a little disorganized at one point in time, but not bad. Their installer took two hours to install it and they got it all done in one visit. The awning did its purpose really well. When the sun is shining on that part, I put it all the way out and it makes a new patio for me. And then when it looks like it's gonna be windy, I'll put it in. It's got the thing that automatically cranks it in, but I put it in and out as I use it.

We bought a new place and it was sunny. We decided to get an awning, and I considered the quality of SunSetter and previous people’s opinion of it. I used a private gentleman who sells SunSetter, and he was great to work with. I love our SunSetter awning. It's motorized, and it has the wind control thing, too. I open it when the sun is out, and if it gets too windy, then it’ll close. I would recommend SunSetter.

Since we lost a tree during a storm last year, there was no shade on the patio whatsoever and it got very hot. If we wanted to really use it and enjoy it, we needed to have something for shade. My sister has an awning on her back porch and we’ve liked hers so I ended up deciding to get an awning. We found out we had a SunSetter dealer right here, Marvin, and we know him so it all fell in place. The awning is wonderful but I would tell others to have a pocketbook because they’re not cheap. Nonetheless, everything was in good shape when it was delivered. The installers came and the guy we dealt with was more than accommodating. They used a certain kind of board so the siding wouldn't be crinkled, wired the awning in our garage and had it up within three hours. They did a beautiful job and they showed us how to put it in and out.

We’re very satisfied with SunSetter Awnings. I looked at different ones, SunSetter and Marygrove, which is a local source for it. Looking at the sizes, SunSetter had the size and price we wanted. The guy I talked to was able to explain everything we wanted to know. We got the motorized awning and we were also able to choose the color that matched the house exterior. The installation went extremely well, too.

I'm loving my SunSetter!!! I recently removed a 10X12 gazebo off my deck and replaced it with a 17ft. long SunSetter and I am completely SOLD!!! I have so much space on my deck now, it's GREAT! Installing this awning was the best decision I have made so far about furniture for my deck. I'm a DIY'er and installed the awning with a friend. Installation was a cinch and saved me a ton of money! I live in Arizona and I just bought a new house. And my patio faces the sun. I’ve seen SunSetter on TV and I liked it. I saw their number and there was a $200 discount. I called the rep and when I asked about my $200, he said that he really couldn’t do that. But, I liked the awning so much, he could have the $200 if that was what he needed. I bought a motorized awning with lights. The installers did a good job. I liked it right where they put it and it was right where I told them. They were clean, knowledgeable and fast too.

I've had my SunSetter awning for four weeks now. I spent $1,700 on it which was a lot more expensive than what I thought it would be because when they advertised and it said it only costs about $700. Nonetheless, I love it and it looks fine. And the people I've worked with were all very nice. I've used the awning twice and I loved it. When you have it extended it looks really nice. I was a little skeptical in the beginning because I didn't want my house to look like those little awnings I see in trailers parks. But it’s not like that at all. It's very rich and I’m very happy. However, these days I couldn't get the automatic thing to work properly. And I’m not quite tall enough to use the manual. With the amount of money I paid for the motorized, I shouldn’t be using the manual.
