I looked at Stannah Stairlifts, Harmar, and AmeriGlide. I read some reviews, looked at the products. I did a Chat ChatGPT based on the three products, and the Stannah was supposedly the best quality. It was the most expensive. ChatGPT recommended the Harmar because price-wise, my budget was 4,500, and they said you're not gonna get into a Stannah for $4,500. So, I spoke to someone at Stannah, and we talked about a refurbished unit. I decided to go that direction. The Harmar is good, but I didn't like that the manufacturer didn't install it. A local dealer installed the Stannah, and he seemed very good. I said to him, "Please get me a serial number.” He said, "Between six months and two years old.” I said, "Okay, that's fine. That's great. Just do me a favor. Get me a serial number of the unit that you install into my home before you do it.” I wanted to make sure that it's between six months and two years old. But he never got back to me.

Everything went very smoothly in my experience with Stannah. My wife's muscles got weak. She couldn't get up the stairs. I had to assist her. And we have not just the normal 12-step, but we got a 15-step stairway. And it was getting tough for her. So, we decided to get a stairlift. My wife googled it and looked at the reviews. She found Stannah, and we called them. Gene, the salesman, came out the next day. He was very helpful and explained everything. We thought it was going to be mounted on the wall, but he said no, it was going to be mounted on the steps, which makes more sense.

My husband and I are very much along on years, and we have our exercise equipment in the basement. We have both been hospitalized this year, and we're having a hard time recovering. Going down the stairs, initially was hard for both of us, and it continues to be hard for my husband. We thought it was time to invest in a stairlift. We had a friend who had one and has had it for about three years and was very happy with it. He got a reference from a friend who we know is a great researcher before he buys anything and had researched it. I was hesitant at first because I like everything made in the USA, but Stannah was not. But I filled out something online for more information.

I research online on different stairlift companies and I was looking for one that did not have the rail or the chain link piece that carries the chair too low to the ground because I have three golden retrievers. I wanted something that was going to be pet-friendly and not get gunked up with dog hair. We started looking into Stannah, then my father-in-law who lives with us had a fall, so getting the stairlift was something that became a rather urgent matter. They came out the next day and did the measurements. Their reps were very professional and very quick.

I looked on the internet and I saw that ConsumerAffairs recommended Stannah Stairlifts. So, I made an appointment to talk to them. We have two flights of stairs going up, so the stairlift that we got goes straight up, makes a curve at the bottom, and goes around the newel post. Then it goes up the stairs, makes a curve around the landing, and curves to go up the second half of the staircase. And then it curves at the top, so that when my wife gets off it, she's not facing the stairs, but facing the hallway and can therefore be safer.

Everybody knew that I needed to get a stairlift. I live in a three-family brownstone, and I'm on the top floor. I got one from Stannah and I'm very happy with it. I have mobility now.

I liked that Stannah is a local company. They weren't just a broker. They manufacture. They sell. They warranty. They service their products. Customer service was excellent. The quality of the stair lift is very high.

I cannot walk, which made me decide to get a stairlift. I went on the computer, looked at Stannah, and called them. The gentleman who came out was okay and did what he was supposed to do. He explained what I should do, but I didn't write it down so that I would remember. So, I haven't been able to use the stairlift because I can't seem to get it going, and I wasn't sure how to operate it. I just need somebody to go over it with me again. I'm satisfied with the stairlift. It made my stairs have less room, but I expected that.

It was a very good experience. We've had the stairlift for a week now. My husband uses it every night going up, and then coming down. I have mixed blessings of having it because I figured that's one little exercise he's not getting in now. But it's certainly an amazing little gadget. The salesperson was very good, and kind of convinced me to go with Stannah. It has a few extras from some of the other companies. I like the fact that all their people were Stannah employees. The fact that if you needed something done, it would be Stannah employees. All the parts are their parts. So, that's kind of what convinced me to go with them.

What stood out the most was the price. There was no back and forth with several different costs involved. It was just a flat rate. The price was up front, and that's what it was. There wasn't any additional or possible additional things, and it was simple. Also, Stannah manufactures and installs the stairlift. It was installed within a week of us deciding. Easy and straightforward. I was surprised there was only one person that came, but he got it done in a timeframe like he said, and it seemed a much easier install than I expected.

I contacted the website that I found that was advertising for Stannah, and they contacted us to make an appointment. They were here when they said they would be. And the salesman was very forthcoming with information.

I was aware of Stannah from an encounter I had in Europe with a relative; they had one, and I liked the design. I went with them, and my experience with them was very good. They came in. The only thing I missed calling them about was that I had special hinges for the door. So, when they installed the unit, it made the stairway very narrow. It's hard for my wife to go down the stairs. If it were even two inches wider, it would be perfect. But the quality of the stairlift is good. The only thing I thought would happen is that when it lands on top, it would actually go onto the upper floor and turn while I'm still on it, because now I have to struggle a little bit getting in and out of it. But I'm happy with the convenience, and I would recommend it to others.

Stannah's customer service was phenomenal. They were able to answer any and all questions I had. Also, the installation was quick and painless. The installers answered all of my parents' questions. It has worked out very well. My parents can carry the laundry basket down the stairs. I'm so grateful.

We were present for the entire installation process. It went very well. It was efficient and informative. The quality of the stairlift is very high. Everything is right there for use. When the sales rep came and we asked about the length of time it would take for installation, we were pleasantly surprised that it was half the time that he had originally told us. It was overall, from beginning to end, a very positive experience.

It was very helpful, informative, efficient, and included a full explanation. The installation team was great. I have one stairlift between the first and second floor and another one down to the basement. They're very easy to operate, and when issues come up, they're very easy to fix because there's a window that shows the number of the issue. You can look it up on the website and solve it very easily, so I haven't had to call for any kind of service. The problems I've had were ones that I created myself and I haven't had any reportable problems with them since I got them. The stairlift is well made. I don't see any parts that could break down easily or parts that are exposed. It all seems very sturdy, so I've been very pleased with them.

Stannah Stairlifts called us back. They sent someone here. He was very good at showing us the options. They came four or five days after we purchased, installed the stairlift, and it went very good. They warned us to move our big stuff in before we installed the chairlift. It has worked well. My husband and son are big guys, and they go up and down. Also, I'm able to get up to take a shower upstairs. Go with Stannah.

I put in another name, and it brought up Stannah Stairlifts. I thought I was looking at the other name. I was looking to get something done quickly, so I just stayed with Stannah. There were time delays on things, which I didn't appreciate, but I understand things happen. It was good and professional. The stairlift is for someone in my church, and it's everything that we needed it to be.

My husband has spinal stenosis and he can't walk very well. He needs help to get to a toilet in the house, so we decided to order a stairlift. He felt that Stannah was the best from all he read online, so we went with them. In our home, we have two steps up to the bathroom, then the stairs continue up and around. And when we ordered, we said we wanted to stop at the toilet, but Stannah's reps didn't do that. So, they had to redo it. Other than that, the stairlift's sturdiness is fine.

Stannah had a great rating. Their customer service was very good. The stairlift has fine quality. It works fine.

I interviewed three other companies, and Stannah Stairlifts was the best. Their reps were most knowledgeable and seemed to be more experienced. The sales visit was positive. The installers were young, friendly, and knew what they were doing. It was good. After the installers finished the job, my wife said that she wished she had ordered the burgundy seat cover. The installer said he had one in the truck and he was just gonna give it to her, and he did. That was wonderful. We got the stairlift that has two curves in it and it has worked perfectly, and we’re happy.

A friend of mine had a son that works for Stannah that installs them, and she said, “You should call the company that Greg works for.” So I called Stannah, and they came. The gentleman was very nice. The bottom line was like $2,000 more than the other company, but it was so much better made. This one is much stronger and has better quality. It had the button to push down the little footrest. So, we ordered it through that, and it was installed last week, and we're very happy with it. It's bigger than I thought it was going to be, but it works very well.

Overall, a very satisfying experience including two prompt repair visits needed soon after installation. About those repairs: Twice, while exiting the seat, I have caught my right heel on the shield on the lower part of the right-hand side of the chair (from the rider's perspective) displacing it, incapacitating the device and necessitating a call for repair. I have learned this is a common problem and results from the deletion of two screws used to hold the shield in place in former models.

My bookkeeper contacted and met with several different companies. He had to consider what was going to work best for me and my needs for accessibility to the second floor in the house. It was the normal due diligence someone should do before making a large purchase as such. We ended up going with Stannah and we purchased a curved chairlift for the stairwell because it was better for me. So far, I am very pleased with it. Having never been on a stairlift, except for one occasion, which was an outside stair lift installed by Stannah, I found it very functional.

We like the Stairlift. But, it did break down two months after installation. It took a week to get a repair person, but he was great. However, he had to fix several small problems with the original installation that had led to the lift getting out of alignment.

My Stannah stairlift fits fine into the stairwell. However, because the stairlift that I have does not swivel, it presents a safety issue. I've already discussed that with Stannah. I'm a Stannah customer for over 20 years. My first stairlift had a swivel. It would turn the person around. This current one does not. I would not have had one installed that doesn't swivel. The one that I have requires memory. If someone has dementia, they have a problem with memory. They're not going to do that extra step. They're going to fall down the stairs.

There was an issue with initial install but a resurvey and subsequent replacement/ installation resolved all issues. Very happy with final result as it met all our needs and requirements for clearance and safe access.

Three times the Stannah Stairlifts rep told me the stairlift would be installed. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled, and I had to cancel them because I couldn't get back up the steps. The first one was the 29th of June. And the second date, they told me it was a misunderstanding. They told me they just opened the box the night before, and there was a part missing. Kevin told me when I ordered the thing that they had them in stock, but they didn't order. I don't know what happened there.

My mother took a couple of days to actually figure out all of the steps she's supposed to do to get on and off the Stannah stairlift, but it's working great so far. We're very pleased. Other than that, when we had to change the initial installation date, I called up Stannah and everything was fine with their reps. Then, the tech who came out to install it was excellent. He did it fairly quickly, did all the explanations on what to do, and left all of the correspondence. He was very helpful.

We did an internet search and came upon Stannah Stairlifts. When their rep came out, he was the best salesman that was in for a long time. Then, the installation went really well and everything went as planned. We have no complaints. We got the stairlift that curves, and it is used in the morning and at night. So far, I noticed a could of hitches on it. One is there's a little bit of vibration when the chair is moving up and down. I don't expect it to be vibration free, but there is way more vibration than I anticipated. Also, we failed to follow up on the rebate check that their office was supposed to send to cover for the fact that the seatbelt that we ordered was across the chest, not across the waist.

When my sister tries to get up, she'd be dizzy and fall down. Her legs couldn't hold her up. We got her a Stannah stairlift and it was working okay for her. Once we get her home, we'll keep it going. We give them 5 stars.

My son, Brett, did some research on the internet and found the reviews for Stannah were very good, and we chose to go with it. My wife was in a bad car accident, so she walks with a cane. The stairlift makes it easier to go up and down the stairs and the house.

The installation process was faster than I expected. The stairlift has given my wife more confidence and the only thing is that the stairlift is slow. Our experience with Stannah has been good. We’ve had it for almost a month now, and it’s for my mom. She is almost 95 and was struggling with stairs with her hands and her arms, so she agreed to get one. My mom knows someone who, in the past, had a stairlift, and they were local in Hopkinton, and they were very happy with it. They’ve moved from Hopkinton now to Franklin. So, we went with that company first to talk to. It was a great experience.

Stannah gave me a quote when we were considering it, as well as two other companies. My mom is in an older home from the 1800s and she has a curved stairway. The salesperson said the stairlift would have enough clearance and it would be to code. So, I said we were good. The installation team was wonderful. They did what they had to do. I needed to put in an outlet, which I had not realized before, and we got it done. We were told that without the stairlift being plugged in, the battery would run out in about eight days. It ran out just as the electrician was coming in so that was very accurate. I wanted to make sure it was gonna start again and the team that installed it said to give it 24 hours of charge, and it should be good. And it was exactly as they said.

I went with Stannah Stairlifts due to their reputation, above all else, and the sales visit was very professional. They had to come back and take some more pictures, ‘cause the factory got back to the salesman that they needed a couple other scans. Other than that, everything went smoothly. The installation team was highly professional too. I've been a contractor for over 50 years, and they don't fool around. They came in, did their work and all came out fine. They’re very serious about what they do. The stairlift I got turns twice on the way up and I love the quality. One can tell. Having been a contractor a long time, I've seen all kinds of things, including other stairlifts, and this one is absolutely first rate. I would recommend Stannah Stairlifts highly.

I am really pleased with the Stannah stair lift. As someone who has MS, the stair lift is more than necessary for my quality of life! I couldn't imagine life without it. There are days when I could walk down the stairs in the morning, but there aren't many days that I could walk up the flight of stairs at the end of the day. The rep, Gene, was truly a compassionate and concerned man. He went through all of the logistics of having a stair lift. It was custom made for my home and professionally installed. The customer service is responsive to the needs of the client. I would highly recommend Stannah 10/10 times!

I went with Stannah based on my research, the length of time the guys have been in business, the reliability, and then ultimately the cost. I had a very good experience with the sales rep. I got a straight stairlift and Stannah did a good setup. But the installation was not a good experience. The installer ended up removing a banister in a way that damaged the wall. When I asked how that was going to be addressed, his first response was, "Well, that's on you to fix." I told him, "Absolutely not. That should have been discussed with me before you did it, if you thought it was going to damage my property."

Stannah Stairlift’s customer service was fine. They were professional and also useful with the information.

Somebody recommended Stannah to me and when I used them, their customer service was excellent. The tech who installed our stairlift was great and I can't say enough about him. Considering the fact that I don't walk that well anymore, I have spinal stenosis, the stairlift helps me get in and out of my bilevel house.
