Stannah Stairlifts is a very good company to work with. It was the price and the level of knowledge of the salesperson that sealed the deal. The stairlift is great. My aunt is 89 years old, so we've had to practice a lot. But the technicians who were out there were very compassionate and patient with her, showing her how to use it, and they left comprehensive instructions in a booklet. I've spent a lot of time with her operating it and it seems to be a good machine. I'm happy I went with Stannah.

We use the Stannah stairlift about four times a day since it was installed a week ago, so it’s getting a lot of use. Installation went well. They came on time, they weren’t noisy and they walked us through how to use it. It's comfortable except when it gets to the top of the stairs, it seems to hit a piece of the wall, and I don't think that should happen. So, we’re gonna ask them to come back and check it.

I did some research and Googled different stairlifts, and that’s how I found out about Stannah. The sales visit was good and very informational. We learned a lot of stuff we wanted to know. We had all the information we needed to decide, and we chose to get it.

Our Stannah stairlift has worked good so far even though it is a used unit. It’s a straight one and it's for my mother-in-law. Installation was easy and very straightforward. The installers were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and demonstrated the stairlift

I got the stair lift with Stannah because I have COPD. When I come up the stairs, I have trouble breathing. Coming home, especially with groceries, I gotta make four or five trips up those stairs. It kills me. There's no problem once I’m upstairs already or when I get down the stairs.

We've had Stannah for less than a month. The quality of the stairlift is good. It could be a little less protruding when the arms are down and out so you can walk by it easier. But the arms go up, so it's workable.

The installers did a very good job. But we had to get some adjustment done because I’m in a wheelchair. They came back and did it after a week. It only took a couple of hours. The stairlift is doing pretty good right now. We have no problems and are happy with it.

The Stannah Stairlift consultant was very professional and friendly. I had two stairways done by them. The first installation was easy and handled by two guys, one of whom was the training guy. They got the work done within a couple of hours. During the second installation, another installer came and was there all day. It is unclear though why the second installation took so much longer. Overall, they were easy to work with, the quality of the stair lift is fine, and my husband can now move around more easily.

My mother is 95 and was having some knee issues. It's time for a stairlift because it would be easier on her. I went online on some site that was like, "What's available in your area?" You put in all this information and Stannah came up. My mom looked online at the reviews. She looked at the price, talked to some friends who had stairlifts, and found out what they paid. Said, "This seems to do the trick and gets good reviews. So let's go with this one." It's working very well. My mom is happy that she was able to go down and do laundry yesterday for the first time in a while because she didn't have to worry about carrying anything. Hopefully, it'll give her more freedom to get out and enjoy the time she has versus being stuck in the house because you don't want to take the stairs up and down.

I was looking at different stairlifts online, and Stannah had the best pictures. When the salesman came out, he had the best demonstration, and it looked like a quality product. So, I went with them. The person I dealt with was very pleasant. He was informative and friendly. The lift installed is fine, and you can fold it up so people can get by.

Also, the stairlift is very good and I would recommend it.

The gentleman from Stannah that was here, Greg, was very professional. He answered any questions. He was very polite. He didn't even take any breaks. He just kept on working right through the time, and it took him 15 minutes less than he said it might. He set it up and showed us how to do it, and we tried it ourselves. He asked us if we had any questions. He had made one little adjustment on something. I was very happy with his service.

The Stannah stairlift seems to be very good. The installation went well. They're expensive but good. I liked the six-month rental option. I could decide after six months to give the stairlift back and pay 2/3 of the price. Theirs was six months before I had to fully commit, whereas another place was three months.

I reviewed the stairlifts from Bruno and Stannah. Bruno was a bit more and they wanted a yearly payment in order to keep the product covered, but Stannah didn't want that. The product was cheaper, and they didn't want a yearly payment. We purchased from Stannah, and they demonstrated the product. Compared to Bruno, it is good. We have an outdoor one and an indoor one.

I would recommend Stannah Stairlifts, but the price is a little too much. My husband saw Stannah and went with them. We like our straight up and down stairlift. We have never had an experience with one. So far, it seems okay. We are thinking about a second lift but might go somewhere else because the price is atrocious, unless Stannah will do something better for us if we will have another one. We want the upstairs done. But the price hit us hard. We are pensioners. We are 80 and 87. My husband should have researched other companies because they are very expensive, but he went along with the process.

When our stairlift was installed, the team that came out was on time. They called before they were coming and the installation went smoothly. There was no issue whatsoever and the stairlift fits our home well. I wish I had a wider staircase, but it still fits. It's inside and straight. The price was very reasonable and the quality is nice. It runs quietly, smoothly, and slowly as it is for the elderly. Overall, I had a great experience and I recommended Stannah to one of my co-workers.

I was looking at different companies and Stannah looked good. I called them and everything went very smoothly when they came out. The straight stairlift is not noisy but it’s not very quiet either. It’s a moderate amount. I had a comfortable experience with Stannah.

They installed it on a spiral staircase. It wasn't your average job. It's perfect and pretty. It's for me, but my wife will use it to carry laundry.

I would recommend Stannah if it's something you need. It's a good company to work with. They were flexible and friendly too, which is important. I happened to call Stannah Stairlift's local office. They're here in Connecticut. I got a quote from them. Someone came out to survey the property and see logistically what kind of stairlift we would need. They were great. They came out a week after I called and were transparent, explained the process, cost, and their product. Two weeks after that, they did the installation. It was seamless. The outdoor stairlift is of high quality. It's meant to be exposed to the weather. It's built sturdily, and easy to use. It folds up and spins. All of those seem to work fine.

Stannah Stairlifts' product was better than everybody else's. It was made stronger. The steel seemed was stronger. Everything seemed like it was a better grade. And the price was competitive, but 1,000 or 2,000 lower than some of the other ones. There were some that were 2,000, 3,000 less than Stannah, but their product didn't seem as well.

I saw Stannah's A rating from the Better Business Bureau and that led me to purchase from them. A gentleman came to install the stairlift and it took him three hours. The stairlift worked but I did not get any information about how the chair is used. I wanted a manual and the man said it would be in the mail in a couple of days. But that was on the 16th and it never arrived. So I called and got the gentleman that originally came. He said to give him a couple of days and it would be in the mail. 10 days later, I still got nothing. So I am not very pleased at all. We got the stairlift that goes straight up and down. It's quiet and it fits our stairway. At some point, I would need the full width of the stairway and I don't know if they could come and temporarily move the chair so the stairs would be available. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the stairlift for what use I've made of it so far.

My mother fell last year and fractured her pelvis. She doesn't want to leave her family home, which is 3 floors. Her bedroom’s on the 2nd floor, so we wanted to make sure that she had every option she needed. We got a chairlift so that she can go up and down without having to walk up the stairs. It fits my stairwell perfectly and it has helped my husband a great deal. It also helps me when it takes the laundry basket. We both love that foot that goes up and down at the bottom.

With Stannah, there was an upfront fee and you continue the rental afterwards after the fee expires. It works great. The fellow that came here was very cordial. I liked that Stannah's products are American-made and they are a long-standing company. So I chose to deal with them. Their reps were knowledgeable. They had the information and a rough idea of pricing. Then, the installation was done within the timeframe that they gave me and the guys were courteous. They were neat and my wife who works from home was not bothered. The stairlift is good quality and it looks better than I thought it would. It's not an aesthetically pleasing thing to add to the house, so when it looks better than you thought, that's a positive. So far, we haven't really fully used it. It's going to be for my mother and she hasn't moved in quite yet. So, we're in the process. Also, I put it in years ago and it more than doubled in price, but that's a sign of the times. So, it is what it is.

I love my stairlift. It has saved me hours of trying to get upstairs with bad knees. I sat the groceries on my lap. I ride up. Then I ride down and pick up the other bag. I like that the extension folds back in so I don't trip over it. The people who installed it were great. The awesome thing about them they said they would be here at 9:15 and they were here exactly at 9:15. I got the used one that doesn't even look used at all. The guy said it was at a house for six months and hardly used. The great thing about it is that it still has the warranty on it.

The stairlift fits fine on our straight stairway, but the only difference is that we wanted to stop on the landing, and that cost quite a bit more. It functions fine, though the foot rest could be a little bit firmer.

I can now get into my house. I haven’t been there in a year because the house has an interior spiral staircase, a very tight spiral staircase. I can’t get up those stairs anymore, so I had to put an exterior stairlift in, and it works. That's my favorite feature.

The stairlift we got from Stannah Stairlifts goes straight up the stairs until it gets near the top, and then there’s a curve, and then it ends right at my door upstairs. It also has a pole. The installation team put remote controls downstairs and upstairs for me, which is great. There was good communication between myself and the company as we were getting prepared, which I appreciated. My experience with Stannah Stairlifts was very positive. The sales person, Will, was very helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries. There was never any pressure. Will even made time on his day off to meet us at the Long Island office to test out the stair lifts. This put me and my elderly parents at ease. We were able to see their quality products and 'test drive' the stair lifts to see the ease of operation. The installation for the straight downstairs stair lift went smoothly. The installer arrived on time and worked very hard. My parents in Queens NY. are extremely happy with the stair lift.

Had a service call from Jeff of Stannah as our chair lift quit operating.. It was a great experience. Jeff diagnosed the problem in minutes and had it repaired quickly. While here he also serviced our chair lift and made sure it 100 % in good condition before leaving. He went over the operation of the lift and offered helpful hints for future issues. Very pleasant and friendly person who took the time to go over everything. Would definitely recommend Jeff and Stannah to others.

The down step is often stuck and we have to move it manually. Mom 101 has much difficulty getting out of the lower chair because it does not swing out. It's very frustrating sometimes. The personnel were very nice and professional but it’s just not perfect. Plus my husband is worried that I go straight the stairwell.

Both the Stannah salesperson Ron ** & the installer were super professional. It was an excellent experience overall & in every respect. The most amazing thing is that my ankle improved and I did not need surgery after all. I would recommend Stannah to anyone. The device works perfectly. Right now we don’t need it for medical reasons, but we have used it to take heavy suitcases up & down the stairs. :-)

We have a house on the Cape and that's where the stairlift is placed. It’s for my father who’s 93 but he’s back to his other retirement home and he’s only used the stairlift for two days. It looks like it's very well made. It'll have to stand up to use. It's not loud either. It's expensive, but there's a lot of mechanics involved too.

My daughter-in-law recommended Stannah Stairlift. It’s for my wife. The product is easy to use, and the installation itself is no problem at all. On the administrative side, they were a little disorganized. They had told us somebody was going to arrive at one time, but they didn’t, and they failed to notify us. They also got a little mixed up on the invoicing.

Every question I asked, he had an answer for, and even went out of his way to try to facilitate earlier delivery, which he was able to get for me. First, the date he gave me was much later than I was hoping because my mom was due to come back from the hospital. Then he called the installation people and had them mark me down in case they had a cancellation. Sure enough, they did, and he called me back the next day with a much earlier date. So, that was great.

I’ve had my stairlift for three months. It’s really good. It’s the first one I saw. The customer service rep was good, and the technician was very nice and friendly.

Two years after paying $4,000 plus for my chairlift and 3 weeks after my warranty expired my chairlift began stopping. I called for service and was quoted $220 however, when serviceman arrived I was told the price for Suffolk County was $345 plus parts. It was determined that the battery need replacement which would cost another $90. Considering that the battery was only 2 years old, the fact that I am on a fixed income, I feel the cost of more than $440 just to replace the battery is outrageous. I feel that Stannah is taking advantage of elderly, disabled persons and do not recommend them.

The Stannah stairlift has been very good. My husband has MS and he uses it to go up and down the stairs. It’s very easy for him to use and he loves it. It’s sturdy and he feels safe. It has a nice color, good quality, and the ride is very smooth and quiet.

The quality of our Stannah stairlift that curves is excellent. It’s a lot of money and a straight stair would have been cheaper at another location. So in comparison, it was at a fair price. We got one for health reasons. We reached out to Stannah because we heard good things about them and in their literature, it seems that they specialized in the circular and right-angle staircases. The installers said what time they’d arrived which they did within that window. They started assembling stuff and everything went on schedule. They even gave us a lesson how to use it.

It's very compact. If I have to carry something big up the stairs, then that might be awkward. But it works great and it's very comfortable. It's fair for what it is priced, too. It was getting harder for my wife to get up and down the stairs, and a friend of ours who had installed a couple of different ones told us Stannah was the best. The salesman was very professional, very capable, and the installation technician was excellent. There were two holders for the remote controls that came with screws, and the screws we got had heads on them that protruded into the body of the holder. So, you couldn't put the remote into the holder once you screwed it to the wall. That was really the only problem we had. Everything is working okay.
