Stannah's sales representative explained the different options for purchasing a stairlift and measured and told me what kind of a rail I would need. She was knowledgeable and very helpful. I got a straight stairlift, but it had to have the extender that comes down. Overall, it fits where I put it very well. There was only one person who installed it. He took a very long time. He was perfectly quiet and just off by himself putting it in. The stairlift is expensive but it is of very good quality. When one of my sons who's an engineer saw it, he was very impressed with how sturdy it was. He said that he would have expected it not to forward when you put weight on it but it is very strong.

When the sales rep came here, he didn't try to pressure us and talked frankly. It was excellent. He won over a large part of our trust. We got the Siena model and it seems to fit well in our home. The installers showed up at the time they said they would and it only took them one day. Then they showed us how it worked and went into detail about things we needed to be careful about. It seems to be of excellent quality.

Everything was good with my experience with the Stannah rep. Their customer service was excellent. The installation was perfect as well. They came and did what they were supposed to, when they were supposed to, and did it right. We got the straight style and it works fine. It's model 600. I got the automatic chair that turns and the automatic foot piece too.

We have a narrow staircase that goes around the corner, and our front door is right at the bottom of the stairs. Stannah was the only one that said they could put the chair lift in on our staircase and I'm shocked that they were able to even put it in. They made it work, and the chair lift is very good. My mom uses it and it's very easy to navigate. She loves the chair lift. Without it, she would not be able to get up the stairs to the shower because we have the showers on the second floor.

My wife's getting out of the hospital now and I gotta do stuff for her. When I was going through the internet, I found Stannah Stairlifts and I got one for her. The salesman as well as the guy that installed the stairlift were good. I have a two-story house and the stairlift is down completely straight except for one part. It doesn't go all the way, then they have a little part that goes on the end. It was put in yesterday and the installer did a nice job. I'm happy about the stairlift. I haven't used it, but I'm sure it'll be okay.

I went with Stannah because of its reputation and everything went very well. The stairlift was installed correctly and it fits very well. It's very sturdy and easy to use. It's given me more flexibility to do things I couldn't do before. I use it twice a day, and it's very convenient and very comfortable for me.

This company sucks! They can take that stairlift and shove it! I only had it for a year and they wanted to give me less than a thousand dollars for a buy back after paying $5,000. The people I initially put it in for never used it. These people are SCUMBAGS!

I had a Stannah stairlift that I bought about four years ago. It dropped dead so I had to get a new one. When I gave the salesman the order, I wasn't aware that it was gonna be a manual thing. The stairlift that I had previous to that was automatic. For the old stairlift, I had a lifetime warranty on the motor and the rail. But I still had to pay $9,000 to put a new one in. According to them, they gave me a special discount. But I really feel that it should not have been $9,000 that I just spent. I'm paying twice for the same facility and it's not really what I had ordered.

We got a Stannah stairlift for a bad knee in the family. It's tighter than we expected, but it's working good. We use it at least twice a day and we love it. Also, the young gentleman who came and put it in was incredibly awesome.

But if you're a big person, find someone else. Stannah had the most advertisements and they had a friendly salesman. I got a curved stairlift installed indoors. Stannah installed it in one day. I'm 6'3", a big guy, and the seat is too small for me and Stannah said they don't have any options to go to a bigger seat. So at $13,000, I can't use the stairlift unless I have someone helping me into the chair. I thought I would be able to do this myself. The people were great, but they did not tell me about having the seat being too small. I had to find out after they installed it. That was a big letdown. Also, the price was very high for a used stairlift. There were no incentives or coupons for the elderly or paraplegics. It's just full price across the board.

My parents liked Stannah's feature of the automatic retracting base rail. It fits good except if you have to get by it. It's tight. It doesn't attach to the wall and attaches to the base when we don't need it. Hopefully, the damage won't be that bad to where it went through the carpet. My parents are happy. The stairlift has helped them.

The sales visit was great and the installers were very professional. The stairlift fits very well and is very easy to use. It gave us the convenience of getting my parents upstairs if needed.

I had a Bruno in the home for about 20 some years, and it was failing. Stannah was the other company I called. Being similar products, the Bruno cost more. So, I went with Stannah. The Stannah has the same footprint as the Bruno that I had before. The only difference is Bruno had a more comfortable seat. It was faster to go up and down. They both had all those safety features.

The Stannah representative came out, initially, took measurements and explained everything very well. He was lovely, and it was a very good experience. The installers were wonderful. They came right on time, and they were done in two and a half hours.

The lift fits fine in my staircase but if a tall person wants to sit on it, it'd be tight because the stair’s very narrow. Other than that, the lift is easy to use and I have no problem with it. I had Acorn and Stannah come in, but friends of mine in the neighborhood got a Stannah chairlift, so that was what I went for. Two men came for the installation and they were very efficient. They knew exactly what they were doing. They've done it many times before. They explained everything, and I couldn't be happier. My sister recommended Stannah Stairlifts and I went with this company because their stairlift turned automatically. It also had an automatic release of the footlift, which our chairlift did not. That was purchased from another company. When the stairlift was installed, the people who came were very good. They were very professional, informative and clean. It was a good installation, and the stairlift looks very well-built. It's a solid piece of piping from top to bottom and the way the guys described it to me, it's custom-made in Europe. It's shipped over in pieces and then they put it back together while they're here.

I saw a truck pull into my neighbor’s driveway, saying "Stairlift." I didn't recognize Stannah. Finally, two months ago, I saw my neighbor and I said, "We're gonna get a chairlift. Who do you recommend?" He said, "Stannah." I've never heard of Stannah. If it hadn't been for him, I would probably would have gone to another brand.

Stannah Stairlifts is a very good company to work with. It was the price and the level of knowledge of the salesperson that sealed the deal. The stairlift is great. My aunt is 89 years old, so we've had to practice a lot. But the technicians who were out there were very compassionate and patient with her, showing her how to use it, and they left comprehensive instructions in a booklet. I've spent a lot of time with her operating it and it seems to be a good machine. I'm happy I went with Stannah.

We use the Stannah stairlift about four times a day since it was installed a week ago, so it’s getting a lot of use. Installation went well. They came on time, they weren’t noisy and they walked us through how to use it. It's comfortable except when it gets to the top of the stairs, it seems to hit a piece of the wall, and I don't think that should happen. So, we’re gonna ask them to come back and check it.

I got the stair lift with Stannah because I have COPD. When I come up the stairs, I have trouble breathing. Coming home, especially with groceries, I gotta make four or five trips up those stairs. It kills me. There's no problem once I’m upstairs already or when I get down the stairs.

Stannah had a retracting rod and retractable rail, and I like the way that they retracted better than the other ones. Those are the reasons I made the decision to choose Stannah.

The Stannah Stairlift consultant was very professional and friendly. I had two stairways done by them. The first installation was easy and handled by two guys, one of whom was the training guy. They got the work done within a couple of hours. During the second installation, another installer came and was there all day. It is unclear though why the second installation took so much longer. Overall, they were easy to work with, the quality of the stair lift is fine, and my husband can now move around more easily.

I was looking at different stairlifts online, and Stannah had the best pictures. When the salesman came out, he had the best demonstration, and it looked like a quality product. So, I went with them. The person I dealt with was very pleasant. He was informative and friendly. The lift installed is fine, and you can fold it up so people can get by.

The gentleman from Stannah that was here, Greg, was very professional. He answered any questions. He was very polite. He didn't even take any breaks. He just kept on working right through the time, and it took him 15 minutes less than he said it might. He set it up and showed us how to do it, and we tried it ourselves. He asked us if we had any questions. He had made one little adjustment on something. I was very happy with his service.

The Stannah stairlift seems to be very good. The installation went well. They're expensive but good. I liked the six-month rental option. I could decide after six months to give the stairlift back and pay 2/3 of the price. Theirs was six months before I had to fully commit, whereas another place was three months.

I reviewed the stairlifts from Bruno and Stannah. Bruno was a bit more and they wanted a yearly payment in order to keep the product covered, but Stannah didn't want that. The product was cheaper, and they didn't want a yearly payment. We purchased from Stannah, and they demonstrated the product. Compared to Bruno, it is good. We have an outdoor one and an indoor one.

I would recommend Stannah Stairlifts, but the price is a little too much. My husband saw Stannah and went with them. We like our straight up and down stairlift. We have never had an experience with one. So far, it seems okay. We are thinking about a second lift but might go somewhere else because the price is atrocious, unless Stannah will do something better for us if we will have another one. We want the upstairs done. But the price hit us hard. We are pensioners. We are 80 and 87. My husband should have researched other companies because they are very expensive, but he went along with the process.

I visited Stannah's website and it was easy to use. Their reps were pleasant on the phone, then in person, they were very easy to deal with. They were accommodating, too. When our stairlift was installed, the team that came out was on time. They called before they were coming and the installation went smoothly. There was no issue whatsoever and the stairlift fits our home well. I wish I had a wider staircase, but it still fits. It's inside and straight. The price was very reasonable and the quality is nice. It runs quietly, smoothly, and slowly as it is for the elderly. Overall, I had a great experience and I recommended Stannah to one of my co-workers.

They installed it on a spiral staircase. It wasn't your average job. It's perfect and pretty. It's for me, but my wife will use it to carry laundry.

I would recommend Stannah if it's something you need. It's a good company to work with. They were flexible and friendly too, which is important. I happened to call Stannah Stairlift's local office. They're here in Connecticut. I got a quote from them. Someone came out to survey the property and see logistically what kind of stairlift we would need. They were great. They came out a week after I called and were transparent, explained the process, cost, and their product. Two weeks after that, they did the installation. It was seamless. The outdoor stairlift is of high quality. It's meant to be exposed to the weather. It's built sturdily, and easy to use. It folds up and spins. All of those seem to work fine.

Stannah Stairlifts' product was better than everybody else's. It was made stronger. The steel seemed was stronger. Everything seemed like it was a better grade. And the price was competitive, but 1,000 or 2,000 lower than some of the other ones. There were some that were 2,000, 3,000 less than Stannah, but their product didn't seem as well.

I saw Stannah's A rating from the Better Business Bureau and that led me to purchase from them. A gentleman came to install the stairlift and it took him three hours. The stairlift worked but I did not get any information about how the chair is used. I wanted a manual and the man said it would be in the mail in a couple of days. But that was on the 16th and it never arrived. So I called and got the gentleman that originally came. He said to give him a couple of days and it would be in the mail. 10 days later, I still got nothing. So I am not very pleased at all. We got the stairlift that goes straight up and down. It's quiet and it fits our stairway. At some point, I would need the full width of the stairway and I don't know if they could come and temporarily move the chair so the stairs would be available. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the stairlift for what use I've made of it so far.

My mother fell last year and fractured her pelvis. She doesn't want to leave her family home, which is 3 floors. Her bedroom’s on the 2nd floor, so we wanted to make sure that she had every option she needed. We got a chairlift so that she can go up and down without having to walk up the stairs. We had contacted Stannah a year ago, but we were not ready for it. My mother was not ready to have it, so they came back. My sister was there and the sales visit was very professional. They told us everything that was going to happen. We were concerned that it would be an extremely invasive procedure installation, but it was wonderful. The way they fit everything in was brilliant. It goes with the decor. We were very impressed with the installers. My mother who dislikes everybody said Max and Anthony are nice guys. They were really professional and kind guys. They cleaned up tremendously well, so kudos to them.

I needed a chairlift for a client of mine who is not as mobile as he used to be. I chose Stannah Stairlifts because I was referred to them. The sales visit was great, very professional and informative. The stairlift is good. It's neat. It's clean, and it works well. It's everything I expected.

Stannah's sales rep was excellent and I purchased from them because their stairlift has that retractable foot at the bottom, which retracts on its own. It fits my stairwell perfectly and it has helped my husband a great deal. It also helps me when it takes the laundry basket. We both love that foot that goes up and down at the bottom.

With Stannah, there was an upfront fee and you continue the rental afterwards after the fee expires. It works great. The fellow that came here was very cordial. I felt very comfortable talking to him and working this thing out. We have the stairlift on time for Mom to come home from the hospital. It fits nicely up in the stairway. There’s plenty of room to get up and down and move stuff because we had to empty some furniture out into another place. It was easy to get around.

I liked that Stannah's products are American-made and they are a long-standing company. So I chose to deal with them. Their reps were knowledgeable. They had the information and a rough idea of pricing. Then, the installation was done within the timeframe that they gave me and the guys were courteous. They were neat and my wife who works from home was not bothered. The stairlift is good quality and it looks better than I thought it would. It's not an aesthetically pleasing thing to add to the house, so when it looks better than you thought, that's a positive. So far, we haven't really fully used it. It's going to be for my mother and she hasn't moved in quite yet. So, we're in the process. Also, I put it in years ago and it more than doubled in price, but that's a sign of the times. So, it is what it is.

We originally had a Stannah stairlift 20 years ago to help my grandparents get up and down the stairs. We just decided it would be better to go with you them again.

The delivery guy showed up on time, installed it, and showed us how it worked. It was a very seamless experience. Now that it’s installed, the stair lift takes up some room, but we can still walk up and down the stairs without any issues. We have no problems with it. It was a great experience.

I love my stairlift. It has saved me hours of trying to get upstairs with bad knees. I sat the groceries on my lap. I ride up. Then I ride down and pick up the other bag. I like that the extension folds back in so I don't trip over it. The people who installed it were great. The awesome thing about them they said they would be here at 9:15 and they were here exactly at 9:15. I got the used one that doesn't even look used at all. The guy said it was at a house for six months and hardly used. The great thing about it is that it still has the warranty on it.

The stairlift fits fine on our straight stairway, but the only difference is that we wanted to stop on the landing, and that cost quite a bit more. It functions fine, though the foot rest could be a little bit firmer.

I looked at two companies and the prices are similar but Stannah was willing to service my area so I was more comfortable with that. I can now get into my house. I haven’t been there in a year because the house has an interior spiral staircase, a very tight spiral staircase. I can’t get up those stairs anymore, so I had to put an exterior stairlift in, and it works. That's my favorite feature.

The stairlift we got from Stannah Stairlifts goes straight up the stairs until it gets near the top, and then there’s a curve, and then it ends right at my door upstairs. It also has a pole. The installation team put remote controls downstairs and upstairs for me, which is great. There was good communication between myself and the company as we were getting prepared, which I appreciated. My experience with Stannah Stairlifts was very positive. The sales person, Will, was very helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries. There was never any pressure. Will even made time on his day off to meet us at the Long Island office to test out the stair lifts. This put me and my elderly parents at ease. We were able to see their quality products and 'test drive' the stair lifts to see the ease of operation. The installation for the straight downstairs stair lift went smoothly. The installer arrived on time and worked very hard. My parents in Queens NY. are extremely happy with the stair lift.

Had a service call from Jeff of Stannah as our chair lift quit operating.. It was a great experience. Jeff diagnosed the problem in minutes and had it repaired quickly. While here he also serviced our chair lift and made sure it 100 % in good condition before leaving. He went over the operation of the lift and offered helpful hints for future issues. Very pleasant and friendly person who took the time to go over everything. Would definitely recommend Jeff and Stannah to others.

The down step is often stuck and we have to move it manually. Mom 101 has much difficulty getting out of the lower chair because it does not swing out. It's very frustrating sometimes. The personnel were very nice and professional but it’s just not perfect. Plus my husband is worried that I go straight the stairwell.

Both the Stannah salesperson Ron ** & the installer were super professional. It was an excellent experience overall & in every respect. The most amazing thing is that my ankle improved and I did not need surgery after all. I would recommend Stannah to anyone. The device works perfectly. Right now we don’t need it for medical reasons, but we have used it to take heavy suitcases up & down the stairs. :-)

Whether or not to give up my two story house in order to stay as I age was a difficult decision. After conducting research, including product reviews, I chose to contact Stannah and I'm glad I did. Everything about this process was excellent, from my first contact to the assessment of needs/products to installation. Changed my life in a positive way!

I was concerned that because Stannah’s place of business for service is in North Jersey and in Philadelphia, and nothing close, that I thought it was gonna be a problem. But. if their equipment is good, then I shouldn't need them to be doing service to it. So, I went with them and the fellow who did the installation was excellent. My wife wanted it because she's concerned I'll fall down the steps. So, I had to make her happy. She's happy now and I've been using it. However, the one thing I don't like about it is it has too many beeps. It's always making a signal when I'm using it, and I don't like that at all. I would like to get that disconnected. It's not a noise that shouldn't be there. It's one that is programmed in. If we can get that squared away, I would just be ecstatic. It is also small enough that it's not a problem for people to get by. The only thing is I wish it was a little faster, but that's it. It's doing fine and it's very good. This one has a retractable foot, that comes up because it would have extended down out too far into a traffic pattern area that we have.

Stannah came in and installed my stairlift. I really like the seat. The two young men who showed up were very efficient. They got the job done in record time. They did not leave a mess. I cannot say enough about the two men. They were very nice. Also, the customer service reps at Stannah were very polite and very businesslike.

My dad had Stannah install stairlifts at their houses before. He gave me all the information and everything. and when I got to the point where I had to start considering a stairlift, I called them. I called a couple of other companies too. But I'm glad that I went with Stannah because the service has been excellent. The salesperson that I talked to wanted to say a lot of things quickly. The conversation was jumping around from subject to subject. So, I had a hard time following what he was trying to say. Then when I asked for the person that my dad had, I was surprised to hear that that person was still working at Stannah. So, then I asked for that person. He person came out and he was wonderful. There were two people that came for the installation. They were here for several hours. They took their time. They were very quiet and clean. They cleaned up right after themselves. Afterward, they gave me a lesson on how to operate it. It was excellent. The whole concept is wonderful. I've been using it since they put it in. It's taking a lot of pressure off my legs and back.

I dealt with Stannah Stairlifts 15 years ago in another house and was very pleased with what they did there. I was working for some people who owned the house and it was they who needed the stairlift at that point. Here I am 15 years later and I needed one. There was no question as to who I would hire. I called prior to coming and I was assured it was going to be in two weeks after I paid for it, which I did, so it would be in by the time we got here, and it was not. We had to work without having a chairlift for over a week.

During COVID, I developed an autoimmune disease and couldn’t move easily. My house has a lot of stairs, and the longest run is 11 steps. I was worried I could fall on the smaller staircases and be okay, but on those 11 steps, I could have seriously injured myself. So, I called Stannah and rented a stair lift.

My mother was totally against the stair lift because she didn't want anybody to spend the money. So, I had to make the appointment without her knowing and told her probably an hour before the reps were going to show up. She couldn’t do anything and she said she would listen. The representative from Stannah that did the presentation was very nice, friendly, and they didn't take too much time. Installation day went fine. The installer was nice and got right to work. They knew what they were doing and there were no issues with that. They even walked me through how to use it.

I saw Stannah Stairlifts being advertised on the computer. When I spoke with the sales rep, Gene, he was wonderful. The man that did the installation was excellent, too. It went very smoothly. One thing that they're going to look into, when you sit in it, the left arm won't stay up when you push it up. They said it was just a small adjustment and they would be out next week. It's very well installed. I don’t have to climb stairs anymore. I like the product and I would recommend them to anyone. I'm very happy.

My husband and I are both senior citizens. And he's been in the hospital a few times with *congestive heart failure. And it got hard for us to get up and down the stairs. We went with Stannah for a stairlift and the experience was great. The sales rep told us everything we needed to know. He had a nice personality and he was a good guy. A week after we saw him that the stairlift went in. It was very quick. The installer came right on time. And he did a great job putting it in. Then once it was in, he gave us some good pointers about how to use it safely, getting in and out of it safely. The stairlift is nice, sturdy and it works well. If others are thinking to get one, they should go with Stannah.

My father-in-law was having trouble going up the stairs, so he needed a stairlift, and Stannah was recommended by his sister. But I am having an issue with the remotes not working the way they’re supposed to, so I have to put in a service call. Other than that, it was a good install. Buying a used Stannah does come with a warranty, but we had to do things a little differently because it was a used unit and my father-in-law is a bigger person. When the sales were out talking to us, they might have provided us with more understanding of the difference between a used one, the age of it, even though it is warrantied and might have recommended the newer one because as this thing gets older, I don’t know if the motor gonna hold him if he gets heavier. And I don’t think they were hiding anything or not transparent. I think it was more their knowledge base of having a new unit as opposed to what the drawbacks of a used one are. The person who recommended it also got a used one, so it's not that it’s a bad product. I just hope that it has the longevity of a new one.

I previously had a Stannah chairlift. Somebody I knew had one as well. I am replacing that old one and I needed it for the second story in my house. It's more convenient to have because I have arthritis. The stairlift makes things a lot easier and convenient, especially going up and down the stairs.

Max came for the installation of our Stannah Stairlift and he was fabulous. He got there after 10:00 and we were done by 2:00. He put down blankets. He made sure that nothing hurt the floor. He put the whole install in. He went over how to use everything very patiently with my mom who's gonna be using it and had her practice, and showed us all the paperwork. I couldn't be happier. My mom likes the feet thing. She's always complaining she's got very big feet. And when she sits down in the chair and the little seat thing comes up, it’s her favorite.

Primarily, the stairlift is for me and my wife uses it as well. We sat with the representative, and she went over all the details of it. She was very clear and answered all our questions. Installation was a day like old days. He came in the morning, it was done by the afternoon, and everything went smoothly. His name is Shawn and he was superb. The stairlift is very quiet, very smooth, it stops where it's supposed to, and it tells us if it's not docked properly. It’s expensive, but it’s excellent quality, and it's comparable to everybody else's, so it’s fine. And we liked the fact that it has double rails, and most of the ones we looked at only had a single rail.

I am and will be continue to be absolutely livid with this company. I put in new floors and needed to move my lift to put new flooring on the steps. I called when the flooring was done to see if I could schedule an appointment to have the lift reinstalled. First, I was admonished for doing my stairs and not have a licensed technician from their company remove the lift. Then I was told in order for them to service the lift, it would cost 300 dollars for an inspection.
