Stannah Stairlifts came very highly recommended from several friends. The stairlift was installed very quickly. The installers went over it with my mom and she was up and running and already using it. It's straightforward to use. My mom likes it a lot. Ours is one of these stairs that go up 10 steps. There's not quite a landing, but very narrow on the left side as the stairlift turns. On one side it would be a very wide stair and it comes into very narrow by the area. It would make a left turn and go up another five steps. The stairlift would hug the right side all the way and would go up further.

I was impressed by the Stannah Stairlift Sales Advisor. Michelle ** was Excellent. Her attention to detail was what stood out for me. Michelle was extremely diligent in taking my Family through the install process. Additionally spent several hours on her first visit to our house. Took the time to explain the install process so my Mom was comfortable. Was also meticulous in her measurements of our curved staircase. Because of Michelle’s diligence & attention to detail, the install went very well. We are pleased with our new stair chair. I highly recommend Michelle **. She was absolutely great to work with.

I came upon Stannah through the internet and as far as getting the lift is concerned, it is for safety purposes. As I was going downstairs, I could feel my left knee giving out. For safety purposes alone, I didn't want to end up at the bottom of the stairs in a heap. So, I got a stairlift. I did my research on it and they appeared to be a quality product.

I checked a few of companies out, and I liked Stannah better. The sales rep was great, and the installer was great as well. I went with a straight stairlift. The curve was too expensive to do a custom stairlift, so I did the straight up to the landing, because after that, there's only a couple of stairs. The stairlift is good and I'm happy with everything. I purchased a previously owned one and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't even be able to know it was refurbished.

I love my Stannah stairlift. I have back problems, so I got it three weeks ago. The guy who fixed it showed me how it goes up the steps and he was great. Joe was his name. I got the model that's straight, and then at the top, it is curved. It's excellent and I would recommend it to others.

I'm 75 and I have heart disease. I also have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I purchased a Stannah stairlift and their customer service rep was very good. But I developed a problem with the housing on the unit where my heel would loosen. It would dislodge it at the top of the stairs and it's pretty complicated. I can't figure out how to get it back together. It happened after it had been installed and the installer was still there. He put it back together, but he didn't show me how to do it and it's not easy. You can't just snap it back on and there's no diagram to show how to do it.

I like the product, and I really like the sales rep. He answered all the questions my wife and I had. He really knew the product compared to a couple of the others that I talked to. The stairlift works fine but the thickness of the rail the chair rides on almost turned me off. Some of the other models were thinner. I use it daily and there's a handrail on both sides, and I didn't want to take out the looks of the handrail. It fits with both handrails, but they had to come out a little bit wider because of that. But overall, I was happy with Stannah and everything that they did, from the salesman to the installer, and how long it took. It took less than a day to have it installed. My MS affects my right leg, so before, I would do stairs in the morning and at night. But now, I can go up and down whenever. So the stairlift changed the quality of my life.

The customer service was excellent and the installation was good. The Stannah stairlift is excellent for my husband. He had three strokes and he's paralyzed on one side of his body. He can get up and down the stairs, but it's very difficult. The stairlift really helps him a lot. We had one slight problem the other day and someone contacted us and told us how to relieve the problem, but it relieved itself.

I have some mobility issues. I was having trouble getting up and down the outside stairs. We have a stairlift currently inside, down in the basement. So we put one up outside, too. I found Stannah on the Internet when I was looking for outside stairlifts. I like that they're local. The sales guy who came out was very nice and helpful.

After reading a bunch of reviews and understanding the different features, I really liked some of the features of Stannah such as the way that the entire rail system is encased. I've seen other stairlifts that are open, which require more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Also, speaking with the field representative that came out was great. He answered a ton of questions. He seemed very sincere. And then, ultimately, the price for what we were getting was great.

They manufacture, install, and do any kind of renovation or repair that you might need. You're not going out to a second party for, say, installation and a third party for a repair.

I love my Stannah stairlift. It's well worth the money. Everything is over the top, but this lift is nicely done. It's sturdy. I love the way it works and that there's a beeping going up and down the stairs. It goes around my staircase because of the kind of stairs I have. I thought Stannah had to take down walls or put a million screws in the walls, but it was nothing like that. It looks streamlined. Also, the installers didn't ruin my floors to do it. They put a couple of steps and screws on the floor and we were good to go. I took a picture and sent it to all my friends because it is a nice chair. It's not in your way, and not in your face. Stannah did a good job. All my friends wanna come over. They can climb my stairs and look at it. It's beautiful.

Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional. We installed two stairlifts and both work well. The cost was significantly less than a competitor that we considered. We have had our stairlifts two months and been very happy with them. We encountered one problem (of our own making), but customer service was very good. When one of my sons who's an engineer saw it, he was very impressed with how sturdy it was. He said that he would have expected it not to forward when you put weight on it but it is very strong.

When the sales rep came here, he didn't try to pressure us and talked frankly. It was excellent. He won over a large part of our trust. We got the Siena model and it seems to fit well in our home. The installers showed up at the time they said they would and it only took them one day. Then they showed us how it worked and went into detail about things we needed to be careful about. Everything was good with my experience with the Stannah rep. Their customer service was excellent. The installation was perfect as well. They came and did what they were supposed to, when they were supposed to, and did it right. We got the straight style and it works fine. It's model 600. I got the automatic chair that turns and the automatic foot piece too.

We have a narrow staircase that goes around the corner, and our front door is right at the bottom of the stairs. Stannah was the only one that said they could put the chair lift in on our staircase and I'm shocked that they were able to even put it in. They made it work, and the chair lift is very good. My mom uses it and it's very easy to navigate. She loves the chair lift. Without it, she would not be able to get up the stairs to the shower because we have the showers on the second floor.

This company sucks! They can take that stairlift and shove it! I only had it for a year and they wanted to give me less than a thousand dollars for a buy back after paying $5,000. The people I initially put it in for never used it. These people are SCUMBAGS!

I had a Stannah stairlift that I bought about four years ago. It dropped dead so I had to get a new one. When I gave the salesman the order, I wasn't aware that it was gonna be a manual thing. The stairlift that I had previous to that was automatic. For the old stairlift, I had a lifetime warranty on the motor and the rail. But I still had to pay $9,000 to put a new one in. According to them, they gave me a special discount. But I really feel that it should not have been $9,000 that I just spent. I'm paying twice for the same facility and it's not really what I had ordered.

We got a Stannah stairlift for a bad knee in the family. It's tighter than we expected, but it's working good. We use it at least twice a day and we love it. Also, the young gentleman who came and put it in was incredibly awesome.

But if you're a big person, find someone else. Stannah had the most advertisements and they had a friendly salesman. I got a curved stairlift installed indoors. Stannah installed it in one day. I'm 6'3", a big guy, and the seat is too small for me and Stannah said they don't have any options to go to a bigger seat. So at $13,000, I can't use the stairlift unless I have someone helping me into the chair. I thought I would be able to do this myself. The people were great, but they did not tell me about having the seat being too small. I had to find out after they installed it. That was a big letdown. Also, the price was very high for a used stairlift. There were no incentives or coupons for the elderly or paraplegics. It's just full price across the board.

My parents liked Stannah's feature of the automatic retracting base rail. It fits good except if you have to get by it. It's tight. It doesn't attach to the wall and attaches to the base when we don't need it. Hopefully, the damage won't be that bad to where it went through the carpet. My parents are happy. The stairlift has helped them.

I’d say the Stannah Stairlift is pretty good, I use them all day. I use the stairlift all the time, it gets me up and down the steps and I haven’t fallen off the rail, so it's working like it should. I had a Bruno in the home for about 20 some years, and it was failing. Stannah was the other company I called. Being similar products, the Bruno cost more. So, I went with Stannah. The Stannah has the same footprint as the Bruno that I had before. The only difference is Bruno had a more comfortable seat. It was faster to go up and down. They both had all those safety features.

The Stannah representative came out, initially, took measurements and explained everything very well. He was lovely, and it was a very good experience. The installers were wonderful. They came right on time, and they were done in two and a half hours.

Safety is a big thing and the staircase is steep. By chance, I got Stannah. I called them, they came in, and I was satisfied with the salesman. I felt like he was being very honest and straightforward. He also didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. The lift fits fine in my staircase but if a tall person wants to sit on it, it'd be tight because the stair’s very narrow. Other than that, the lift is easy to use and I have no problem with it. It makes everything easier and safer.

For the install, a couple of guys came up from New Jersey to put the stairlift in and they knew what they're doing. I had a beautiful installation and I can't say enough for the crew. The installers did their work. There was no wasting time in between. Before they left, they explained everything to me. They also told me to just call them if there are any problems. The first day, I did call them because I couldn't understand why it wouldn't move, but it was because we didn't wait for the top of the bar to stop. Right away, they said just to reset that button down there and it's fine now.

I never heard of Stannah until my neighbor told me to come over and had me try their stairlift. She said that it was fabulous. She told me that she got it for her husband and that it was so much better than Acorn. She said she would absolutely recommend Stannah as the only person to call. I sent her name to the person who came to the house because I heard that they may get a bonus of $200.

I was looking for stairlifts online and Stannah looked the nicest to me. Gene came out for the sales visit. He was a very nice person. He answered my questions. At the time, I wasn't ready. In fact, I just had it done recently and my mom still hasn't been over. My mother may never use it, but it is for her. It makes me feel a little more secure that if she ever wants to come and live with me, I'm ready for her. It may have been a very expensive thing to add to my house that will never be used by her.

I had Acorn and Stannah come in, but friends of mine in the neighborhood got a Stannah chairlift, so that was what I went for. Two men came for the installation and they were very efficient. They knew exactly what they were doing. They've done it many times before. They explained everything, and I couldn't be happier. It's just that I'm surprised that the salesperson, Michelle, never called me back after it was installed to see if I liked it or if there are any problems. Other than that, while the stairlift is expensive, so far, the quality is very good. It has been very helpful, too. I should have done it two years ago.

My sister recommended Stannah Stairlifts and I went with this company because their stairlift turned automatically. It also had an automatic release of the footlift, which our chairlift did not. That was purchased from another company. When the stairlift was installed, the people who came were very good. They were very professional, informative and clean. It was a good installation, and the stairlift looks very well-built. It's a solid piece of piping from top to bottom and the way the guys described it to me, it's custom-made in Europe. It's shipped over in pieces and then they put it back together while they're here.

I saw a truck pull into my neighbor’s driveway, saying "Stairlift." I didn't recognize Stannah. Finally, two months ago, I saw my neighbor and I said, "We're gonna get a chairlift. Who do you recommend?" He said, "Stannah." I've never heard of Stannah. If it hadn't been for him, I would probably would have gone to another brand.

Stannah Stairlifts is a very good company to work with. It was the price and the level of knowledge of the salesperson that sealed the deal. The stairlift is great. My aunt is 89 years old, so we've had to practice a lot. But the technicians who were out there were very compassionate and patient with her, showing her how to use it, and they left comprehensive instructions in a booklet. I've spent a lot of time with her operating it and it seems to be a good machine. I'm happy I went with Stannah.

We use the Stannah stairlift about four times a day since it was installed a week ago, so it’s getting a lot of use. Installation went well. They came on time, they weren’t noisy and they walked us through how to use it. It's comfortable except when it gets to the top of the stairs, it seems to hit a piece of the wall, and I don't think that should happen. So, we’re gonna ask them to come back and check it.

The outdoor stairlift is of high quality. It's meant to be exposed to the weather. It's built sturdily, and easy to use. It folds up and spins. All of those seem to work fine.

Stannah Stairlifts' product was better than everybody else's. It was made stronger. The steel seemed was stronger. Everything seemed like it was a better grade. And the price was competitive, but 1,000 or 2,000 lower than some of the other ones. There were some that were 2,000, 3,000 less than Stannah, but their product didn't seem as well.

I saw Stannah's A rating from the Better Business Bureau and that led me to purchase from them. A gentleman came to install the stairlift and it took him three hours. The stairlift worked but I did not get any information about how the chair is used. I wanted a manual and the man said it would be in the mail in a couple of days. But that was on the 16th and it never arrived. So I called and got the gentleman that originally came. He said to give him a couple of days and it would be in the mail. 10 days later, I still got nothing. So I am not very pleased at all. We got the stairlift that goes straight up and down. It's quiet and it fits our stairway. At some point, I would need the full width of the stairway and I don't know if they could come and temporarily move the chair so the stairs would be available. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the stairlift for what use I've made of it so far.

While here he also serviced our chair lift and made sure it 100 % in good condition before leaving. He went over the operation of the lift and offered helpful hints for future issues. The down step is often stuck and we have to move it manually. Mom 101 has much difficulty getting out of the lower chair because it does not swing out. It's very frustrating sometimes. The personnel were very nice and professional but it’s just not perfect. Plus my husband is worried that I go straight the stairwell.

I called when the flooring was done to see if I could schedule an appointment to have the lift reinstalled. First, I was admonished for doing my stairs and not have a licensed technician from their company remove the lift. Then I was told in order for them to service the lift, it would cost 300 dollars for an inspection.
