Our experience with Stannah has been very good. It was installed very well, promptly, and quickly. The people I dealt with in the installation were incredibly good, very friendly, and very polite. They did a great job. I also like that they have a significantly large office in Nassau County, which was reasonably close to me, and you want people who are close by in case there's a need. The stairlift works very well. It's a good product, expensive, but you're buying quality.

We went with Stannah because they seemed to be a good company, and they're American. Their presentation was good too. The stairlift we had installed goes straight up and down inside our home and we've had no problem. Overall, Stannah was good, except their installer was slow.

The sales rep and the installation of the stairlift were excellent. I would recommend Stannah.

Of the two representatives that came here, the Stannah one had an idea for enlarging the bottom landing that I thought was a good one. I liked the guy who came out first and the advice he gave. My wife needed the stairlift. It allows her to get up the stairs when she comes home. She uses the stairs to go down.

We went with Stannah Stairlifts because of the program where we could pay half and wait six months to decide if we're going to need it longer or not, as opposed to Acorn where we just had to pay upfront. The installation was fine. Very nice young man. And the product is great. We explained to friends why we went with Stannah. We would have gone with Acorn if they had offered this same deal, because they were fine to deal with before, but they don't offer rentals anymore, and that's why we turned to Stannah. It's not one product over another. It was the financial aspect of it.

I purchased the stairlift for the purpose of my husband's use. However, when Stannah first put it home, they had to remove one of the bars, and he wanted the bar replaced. He hasn't been able to use it yet, because he's had a lot of issues with falls. But I've used it to carry things and it has served that perfect. When they did the sales visit, the reps were very polite. At the same time, it was very, very nice, very pleasant, and very helpful. I appreciated that. I appreciated the fact that we got it corrected in time. There was one issue, which I did not realize because of the refund. I had to correct that, and I sent the correct amount that it needed to be replaced, so that worked out.

My cousin had her mother purchase a stairlift back in the summertime, and was very pleased with not only the quality, but the service. And we decided to go with Stannah as well. Dealing with the sales reps was great. They were very informative and clear. The installation went very well and the installers were professional. It’s a straightforward chairlift, but my aunt has said she enjoys using it.

In our research comparing Stannah to other stair lift companies, we found the price slightly higher than competitive, but the other people seemed to be unable to keep their mouth shut when they were trying to sell us something. On the other hand, the Stannah people were very professional, direct, and open about their product, installation, and service. Initially, the contact with the sales rep was entirely by mail, rather impersonal. In contrast to the loud mouth from the other competitor company, Stannah's sales rep was gentlemanly, knowledgeable, and represented his product very well and very professionally. The install took less than four hours.

Stannah has been good. I looked at it on my computer and went with them due to the warranty and the easy operation. It's much better than the competition and it's comfortable. Plus, it has good features.

Other companies, when I was looking online, would break apart, somebody charges to come out and measure, and charges for the install. With Stannah, it was all one price to do everything. The stairlift is for my 90-year-old uncle, and it's a game-changer.

My experience with Stannah was good. We purchased a curved model, and it fits the stairwell pretty well.

Our Stannah stairlift goes straight up and down and is very easy to use. It has a seat belt, I put it on, and the foot rest goes up and down. I get up top the steps and bring it back around like it's going to go down, and I fold the arms, seat, and foot rest up so the stairs can still be used. Also, it's not noisy and is competitively priced.

My wife needed a stairlift. Stannah was the first one to respond when I was looking. And they came out and made a presentation. So, we went with them based on that presentation. The rep was very knowledgeable. He was also enthusiastic about his product. The installation was smooth. The guy was here for three hours, and he installed it with no glitches. The stairlift is of good quality. It looks like it's well-made. It looks sturdy and seems to perform well. I'm happy with Stannah. The whole process was good. They had been very responsive. I'd recommend them to a friend.

The sales visit was very nice. The rep was very nice. I had very good interactions with the installers. We got the straight stairlift. It's ugly, but it fits. Also, it's very high quality.

A couple of people in the neighborhood had Stannah stairlifts, and they said that they were very good. So, we had their sales rep come out and he was very professional. He answered all the questions and was very patient with the whole family, because we were all there at the time. Then, the installers came in the morning. They were very neat and efficient. My brother said they did a great job and they were done fairly quickly. Once it was installed, and I was there with my mother, the two techs explained it very well, how to operate it, and answered all our questions. We got the stairlift that curves and it works very well. It was a little louder than we expected, but it's not horrible. The price was a little high but it seemed like the going rate.

I had an excellent experience with the customer service and installation. This is the first time I've had a stairlift installed, and it was cleanly done. There was no junk left. I would recommend Stannah.

Stannah Stairlifts had the one that fit our space the best, because we had limited space. Stannah was great to work with. They were on top of every part of it. They were on time and worked with us to get it done. They were knowledgeable. They stood by what they said. We dealt with another company, and they let us down, but that didn't happen this time. They delivered exactly what they promised with no problem. The stairlift works great for our needs and is easy to use. We all use it. It's very helpful because of health problems and different things, and it makes it much easier to get from the lower level up to the living level of the house. Pick Stannah and work with them, because they were good to us. They're the ones to talk to.

Stannah was very professional, and they were fine to work with. The guy who did the install was very informative. It took him about five hours. The stairlift goes straight up and down, but at the bottom, the last piece lifts, because otherwise, it would block a hallway. The price was slightly higher than the competitors', but the service seemed to warrant it.

He described everything in detail. The person that did the installation also was clean, neat and quick. I would tell others to use Stannah.

I happened to see a Stannah Stairlifts ad on Facebook one morning, I sent a message, and I heard back in 10 minutes. The rep came right out within four hours, and the crew was here within two weeks to install it. Very good experience. My husband used the stairlift and he's very happy with it. It goes in all the way and goes right down the stairs. In the wintertime when we’re running the wood stove, my husband will be able to go up and down and fill the wood stove. It got bad last winter because when we run the wood stove, he has to go up and down every couple hours, but he couldn't do it. Go with a stairlift.

The presentation with Stannah Stairlifts took long, but it was okay. Installation took like four hours. I heard that they can come in and out easily, and I guess I was wrong. The stairlift takes up a lot of room. I'm not happy with the room that it takes up. I just got out of the hospital, and I have nurses and OT coming in, and they have to turn sideways to get past it. Also, everybody is telling me that I overpaid, but I don't even know what they go for. I only have 16 stairs, and I paid 5,500 for a used one.

My elderly mother has trouble going up and down the stairs. I did comparisons on different stairlifts, and Stannah was the most reasonably priced. I like their quality and price. The rep we worked with was very pleasant. He was very thorough and he gave me several options. Based on how our stairway is formed, we had to get two straight lifts. He explained the options for the installment plan, for the refurbished and for the buyback. We went with the two straight stairlifts as opposed to the custom curve, which would be much more expensive. The installation went fine. It was a gentleman who was also training another gentleman. It was seamless, and they cleaned up very well behind themselves. They explained how the lifts work, and we tested them, and everything was great. It was a wonderful experience.

I have COPD, and I was having trouble going up the stairs. I purchased a stairlift from Stannah, and a very kind man came and did the work, and he seemed to be very professional. The quality is good, but I feel that it's very expensive for what I have. But when I had a couple of questions on the installation at first, because I didn't understand, they were very good and helpful on the phone with me. The salesman was very nice, but he was clearly a salesman. He had the sales pitch, “If you get it today, we'll give it to you for this price,” that kind of thing, which I didn’t like too much. But they were very professional, and I'm satisfied with the product.

Everything with Stannah is great. Both my parents have mobility issues, and that was why I have this chair lift installed. It allows them to be able to leave the house.

My friend, Father Gino, had a Stannah. I had a stair lift, but it was very inexpensive and it didn't hold up too well. I've seen the quality of Father Gino's stairlift. So, I went with Stannah. The presentation was nice. The gentleman that was here was very good. He did a good presentation. He was funny, too. He was entertaining, and I guess that goes part with the job.

I wanted a stair lift because my wife has a hard time getting up and down stairs, and so do I. With everything I’ve read, Stannah seemed to be the most reliable. I worked with an absolutely great representative who was very knowledgeable and friendly. As far as the stairlift, I really like the ease of which it goes up and down. It made life a lot easier. We use to crawl up the steps. Now, we just sit and take a ride. Stannah’s the best.

I talked to them, and whatever I asked, it was great. Everything was perfect. I had open heart surgery and my garage is downstairs. I was having shortness of breath bringing my groceries up, so the stairlift helps me a lot. I recommended Stannah to my nephew as well. His wife has some problems with the stairs, so I advised him and he's thinking about putting one in his house too.

Eric, our installer, was just great. After the install, he took us through all the features and how to use it. It has been a great experience dealing with Stannah. From Rich, our salesperson, to the gals in the showroom (we live in Franklin), to customer service when I had questions, I would give it a A+. The fact that we could go in the showroom in Franklin and that we are dealing with a local company with great reviews, there was no doubt to choose Stannah for our stairlift. We are extremely pleased and glad that we chose Stannah.

We looked at one stairlift company, but it was much more expensive than Stannah. They also felt that because of the way their stairlift was constructed, it might not fit in our staircase. We then went with Stannah and got one of each of their curved and straight stairlifts. We're very happy with the quality. The installers were wonderful guys as well. The only thing is, and it's probably because it's a curved stairlift, I would have liked the gears or the little silver things that stick up covered for dust purposes. But the one going downstairs is covered.

I have balance issues and my two children, although quite a bit younger than me, also needed a stairlift. I use my downstairs, and it opens up the whole house to me. I had to put the installation off a couple weeks but when I finally got it done, it didn't take them long at all. I found my top step with a crack in it. I don't know whether that was caused by them or it was just an old step. I notified them and they said they'd make a note of it. Stannah took two stairlifts out of my old house and put a new one into my new house. The installation worked out fine. They were a big help. I got a curved stairlift and they made it possible. I had this last one for seven years and never had a problem. They only changed the battery in the chair. I'm very satisfied and I would recommend Stannah to a friend.

My wife fell and broke her hip and femur. We have two sets of seven stairs to get into the house from the garage, and she was worried that she couldn't get up and down the stairs. We had to put in a stairlift, and glad we put it in. I went online and googled “stairlifts,” and Stannah was one of the first ones that came up. Five minutes went by, a guy called, and he was actually in Florida. He said he was from Stannah and that there was no pressure whatsoever. He said, “But we can have somebody come out there and give you a quote, and there's no charge. And if you don't want it, don't take it.” He told me not to be afraid to call other people. But he said Stannah is worldwide, and he had a good spiel, so I told him, “Yes, send her out. That could hurt nothing.”

I'm 75 and I'm still fine walking up and down the stairs, but I have trouble with carrying things down the stairs. I fell down the stairs one time I was carrying things. I wanted a stairlift and Stannah seemed to have a little better quality than the other ones that I researched. I went with them and the stairlift has helped tremendously. I don't have to carry things down anymore. It's slow but steady. For now, we're using the stairlift like a dummy waiter. But in case we need it when we get older, we'll have it.

I had a Stannah stairlift put in many years ago but I had it taken out because I didn't like the look of it and didn’t need it anymore. Bradley and James, the installers, were both great. I like the feeling of safety that comes with having the stairlift. The quality is great as well. Everything has been perfect.

He gave us the pricing and the breakdown, whether it'll be worth renting and purchasing. He did a video call with my husband. The installation was done in about an hour and it was done great as well. We had an electrician in to help and let us know where to put the cord. We haven't used the stairlift yet because my mother-in-law is not here yet, but it seems to be working okay.

I like the quality of Stannah's salesmanship and product and we got a straight indoor stairlift from them. The installation went really smoothly. The stairlift goes from the basement to the first floor. It fits perfectly in my home and I like that it has a foot lift and a seatbelt. The price is too high but everything is too high nowadays. The quality is excellent and I got what I paid for. I would recommend Stannah if I knew somebody that needed a stairlift.

I had a meeting with someone from another company but the price was astronomical. It was $21,000. We live in a raised ranch which is a split level so I can't have one. I have to purchase two. One of our aides looked up Stannah Stairlift online then I called them. I told them time is of the essence as we were carrying my husband down in his wheelchair, and that was so unsafe. They asked if they could come that day at 3:00. I was so happy and said yes.

A couple of other places came over here and wanted to deliver the stairlift at the door. The other one wasn't coming over to talk to us about the stairlift. But Stannah had somebody talk to us about and set us up. Our Stannah stairlift is excellent and we’re very happy with it. It fits into our stairwell perfectly. It runs very smoothly and doesn't make any noise. I use it now, but it was for my husband. He's disabled and has bad back and leg. It helps us upstairs. Otherwise, it's rough without it.

I needed a stairlift because I'm paralyzed. I chose Stannah because I saw an advertisement. Everything was excellent with them. The people were great. The product is great. Customer service is awesome. I've had no problem at all. The stairlift is on the stairs, but I don't think it gets in the way of anybody. The chair can't be open to have people walk by it, but that means I can't fall when I get out of it.

I got a Stannah stairlift for my sister. The sales visit went well, and the installer was great. I got the straight one for outdoor. I didn't have it long enough to really see if it's good, but so far, it seems good.

I couldn't go up the stairs without losing my breath and I tried to reach out to Acorn, but Stannah called me back. We have plenty of room and the installers were very good when they came up and measured the space. They went over everything with us. When we've had the stairlift for about a month, it wouldn't go all the way to the top by about a couple of inches. It was a mechanical issue and the guy came out right away and fixed it. We had a card to call, so it was fine. I’m very happy with the stairlift. It's great and has made life better. We love it.

I called two different places, and a sales guy was sent out who measured everything. I was ready to buy but I never heard from them again. They did all that work and they never called me back, even though I left a message. Stannah’s guy came out here the next day and gave me a quote. That was on a Friday and they had somebody here on Wednesday to install it. The guy was great and was in and out of here in no time.

Stannah Stairlifts' rep was great. He has been doing it for a long time. He was very friendly and straightforward. My mother told me the installation took almost a day, and it went fine. The lift has been running great. It has made it possible for my dad to go upstairs and live at home, and it makes life easier for my mother who uses it and uses it for my dad.

We heard good things about Stannah Stairlifts. And when we met with the representative, they knew so much. It was so reassuring. We have a small house, and the way the stailift is in is perfect. Got it right down to where it needed to be. Also, it's easy to use, which I like. It goes up easily. I could go downstairs now to do laundry. So, it has made a difference. Everybody likes it. Even my grandson uses it.

I reached out to Stannah to have a stairlift installed at my parents' home. Their rep made a great presentation which took about a half hour, then the installation went very smoothly. The installers also showed my parents how to work the stairlift. We got the curved one with the remote control, which is a great feature, and it fits the stairs very well. The noise is very low and the price was very good. The quality is excellent and overall, I would recommend it to others.

I chose Stannah because it was a family-owned company. I chose them because of the years they had been in business. Also, I was quite impressed that they started off with hoist. If they knew about hoist, they certainly know about lifting a 200-plus pound woman up the stairs. So, those were my reasons for choosing them. The sales visit was seamless. Jonathan was my sales rep. I complimented him personally because he was not a high-pressure salesperson. He was very lowkey. I had done due diligence before he came to the house. The only thing that was going to make or break the sale for me was going to be the terms of the warranty, and I wanted specifically to know about the refurb and also about the new. The price differential was negligible.

My wife has mobility problems from MS, which was why we needed a stairlift. I went to ConsumerAffairs and they recommended Stannah Stairlifts, and I talked to the rep. I liked Stannah and got a straight stairlift, and it works great. The installer was good and did a demonstration on how it worked. When I had a problem with the stairlift, they showed right up and fixed it. Both the customer service and the price were excellent.

I have very bad arthritic knees and climbing the stairs is very painful, and I finally decided to buy a stairlift. There was one good review from someone on the West Coast about Stannah and their quote was in the middle of two other quotes I got. One of the other companies I was considering had a manual rail but Stannah offered the automatic safety rail that goes down. The gentleman who did the sales visit was very nice and I enjoyed talking to him. And it was then that I made up my mind that I was gonna go with Stannah. I got the indoor straight stairlift and the installation went smoothly. The gentleman came, had all the supplies, took him a couple of hours to put it together, and it worked fine when he left.

Stannah got in touch with me quickly. They came out fast for a quote. So, we went with them. We got a straight stairlift and it's working perfectly. It fits what we needed. They got it installed in time. My mother-in-law was coming to stay with us after getting out of the hospital. So, they got it in before she got home, and everything went well. The stair lift is of great quality. My mother-in-law loves it. She was afraid it would be ugly. It's not ugly. It's good. I wish it was a little cheaper. It's not their fault though because we're only renting it. We didn't buy it.

Stannah Stairlifts is a good company. They have an excellent price. I was really thinking it was going to be a lot more because I had quotes where they were saying it will cost $10,000. So, 4,000 something was a good price for me. As far as the stairlift, I sit on it and I go up. My bedroom is on the second floor, and I'm confined into the dining room where my bed is, and I wanted very much so to go to my room so the dining room can be a dining room again and we can sit and eat our dinner, instead of sitting on a recliner while eating. I'm confined to a recliner because I had a stroke in 2023.

I was shopping around, and Stannah was very proactive and prompt, and they interacted with me. It was a year-long process. Initially, they quoted some amount, and then because of the tariff, the price went up by almost 2,500. On the internet, the prices are 8,000 and 7,000, so 17,000 was way too much. I wanted the price to go down a little bit more, but that's okay. The stairlift was installed on the 3rd of this month, so it's not even two weeks old. The installation went smoothly, and the team was competent and didn't take more time than they told me initially, so that part was fine. But I did not like the turning-around type of seat, so I will have to call Stannah again and extend it and make it go up to the landing in the right way. It's new now, so it's working, and it looks good. But I would recommend others to shop around because money is also very important.

We got a Stannah stairlift for my mother-in-law and she's loving it. We got a recommendation from someone that had one years ago for their parent. The gentleman from Stannah who came for the sales visit was very pleasant. He explained the product to us, and it was a good experience. The installer was very efficient and clean, explained everything to us, and then we explained to my mother because she’s hard of hearing. I would definitely recommend Stannah.

I got an outdoor stairlift from Stannah, and it has a lifetime warranty. The sales visit was very informative. It was very positive all the way through. When the installers came in, they were informative, quiet, and did their job in a very timely manner. They also cleaned everything up. The stairlift is sturdy and it does the job. It's a high cost, but it's relative to the quality and the warranty.

Stannah Stairlifts is a company that has been here. My mother-in-law had one in her past life. We had one for her to go up to her bedroom at night. She got it serviced frequently from the people in Massachusetts. We figured they've been in business since many years back, and we thought we'd choose the same company.

Working with Stannah, customer service-wise, was excellent. Everything about working with them, from customer service to sales to install, was wonderful. One gentleman came here, and within a few hours, the stairlift was installed. The product is very good.

I'm in California and I coordinated the installation of a stairlift for my parents in Connecticut. I met with the representative from Stannah and he did a fine job. For the installation, their reps were on time and it took them almost exactly how long they said it would take them. They reviewed it with my mother and they seemed pretty thorough. My parents seemed happy with it and I didn’t get any complaints. We got a really nice stairlift, but it was one of the more expensive models and I don't know if the extra money was worth it. Other than that, Stannah's reps were always very responsive, and so far, my mother has been able to use the stairlift with no issues.

Stannah was selected for me and the presentation and installation both went as expected, and everything was completed as advertised. I have a straight stairlift and my experience has been very good. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and service.

Electricity charges the battery, and it's operating marvelously. It's everything that they said it was going to be, and it was 2,000 cheaper than Leaf. It also fits into the stairwell. I live in a big house and I'm going to be 85 on my next birthday, so getting up one flight of stairs is becoming a big deal. Without the stairlift, it would be very hard for me to live here. I would strongly recommend Stannah. I haven't had it long enough but right now, it works. It's quiet and reliable, and every time I get in, it goes great. So, I'm fine with it.

The installers went over it with my mom and she was up and running and already using it. It's straightforward to use. My mom likes it a lot. Ours is one of these stairs that go up 10 steps. There's not quite a landing, but very narrow on the left side as the stairlift turns. On one side it would be a very wide stair and it comes into very narrow by the area. It would make a left turn and go up another five steps. The stairlift would hug the right side all the way and would go up further.

I came upon Stannah through the internet and as far as getting the lift is concerned, it is for safety purposes. As I was going downstairs, I could feel my left knee giving out. For safety purposes alone, I didn't want to end up at the bottom of the stairs in a heap. So, I got a stairlift. I did my research on it and they appeared to be a quality product.

The curve was too expensive to do a custom stairlift, so I did the straight up to the landing, because after that, there's only a couple of stairs. But I developed a problem with the housing on the unit where my heel would loosen. It would dislodge it at the top of the stairs and it's pretty complicated. I can't figure out how to get it back together. It happened after it had been installed and the installer was still there. He put it back together, but he didn't show me how to do it and it's not easy. You can't just snap it back on and there's no diagram to show how to do it.

I like the product, and I really like the sales rep. He answered all the questions my wife and I had. He really knew the product compared to a couple of the others that I talked to. The stairlift works fine but the thickness of the rail the chair rides on almost turned me off. Some of the other models were thinner. I use it daily and there's a handrail on both sides, and I didn't want to take out the looks of the handrail. It fits with both handrails, but they had to come out a little bit wider because of that. But overall, I was happy with Stannah and everything that they did, from the salesman to the installer, and how long it took. It took less than a day to have it installed. My MS affects my right leg, so before, I would do stairs in the morning and at night. But now, I can go up and down whenever. So the stairlift changed the quality of my life.

The customer service was excellent and the installation was good. The Stannah stairlift is excellent for my husband. He had three strokes and he's paralyzed on one side of his body. He can get up and down the stairs, but it's very difficult. The stairlift really helps him a lot. I love my Stannah stairlift. It's well worth the money. Everything is over the top, but this lift is nicely done. It's sturdy. I love the way it works and that there's a beeping going up and down the stairs. It goes around my staircase because of the kind of stairs I have. I thought Stannah had to take down walls or put a million screws in the walls, but it was nothing like that. It looks streamlined. Also, the installers didn't ruin my floors to do it. They put a couple of steps and screws on the floor and we were good to go. I took a picture and sent it to all my friends because it is a nice chair. It's not in your way, and not in your face. We have a narrow staircase that goes around the corner, and our front door is right at the bottom of the stairs. The stairlift that I had previous to that was automatic. For the old stairlift, I had a lifetime warranty on the motor and the rail. But I still had to pay $9,000 to put a new one in. According to them, they gave me a special discount. But I really feel that it should not have been $9,000 that I just spent. So at $13,000, I can't use the stairlift unless I have someone helping me into the chair. I thought I would be able to do this myself. The people were great, but they did not tell me about having the seat being too small. I had to find out after they installed it. That was a big letdown. Also, the price was very high for a used stairlift. There were no incentives or coupons for the elderly or paraplegics. It's just full price across the board.

My parents liked Stannah's feature of the automatic retracting base rail. It fits good except if you have to get by it. It's tight. It doesn't attach to the wall and attaches to the base when we don't need it. Hopefully, the damage won't be that bad to where it went through the carpet. My parents are happy. The Stannah has the same footprint as the Bruno that I had before. The only difference is Bruno had a more comfortable seat. It was faster to go up and down. They both had all those safety features.

It's just that I'm surprised that the salesperson, Michelle, never called me back after it was installed to see if I liked it or if there are any problems. Other than that, while the stairlift is expensive, so far, the quality is very good. It has been very helpful, too. I should have done it two years ago.

It was a good installation, and the stairlift looks very well-built. It's a solid piece of piping from top to bottom and the way the guys described it to me, it's custom-made in Europe. It's shipped over in pieces and then they put it back together while they're here.

I saw a truck pull into my neighbor’s driveway, saying "Stairlift." I didn't recognize Stannah. Finally, two months ago, I saw my neighbor and I said, "We're gonna get a chairlift. Who do you recommend?" He said, "Stannah." I've never heard of Stannah. If it hadn't been for him, I would probably would have gone to another brand.
