I had a good experience with Stannah. The rep was very polite. He did his job and did it well. My chairlift comes all the way down and goes all the way up. I push the two side arms and the seat down and push the button. It's a good fit for my stairwell. Having this chairlift is much easier than climbing the stairs. I'm 77 and I have a difficult time. I'm glad I got Stannah. It has greatly improved my life. The ride is smooth and it comes all the way down and I turn around at the top. The speed is fine. It's not too fast and not too slow.

The sales rep understood the questions that I was asking and explained everything during the sales visit. We got the straight stairlift and it fits into the stairwell perfectly. The installers were very efficient and knew what they were doing and asked if I was pleased with it. So, they were very good. The installation took a couple of hours the first time and when they came back two other times to fix the back of the motor, it wasn't that long. We put the stairlift in because of my COPD and two weeks later, we went camping and I fell and broke my hip. So, it worked out very well. I'm very happy with the Stannah stairlift. We had a few problems at first with adjustments but the installers came right out as soon as I called and rectified everything that was a problem. I'm doing very well and very pleased with it.

The rep was very thorough and he knew what he was saying. He was very in-depth. The options they gave were workable. The techs were very professional and they showed up on time. They cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the service. The stairlift fits very well in our home. It's durable and it's working well. Now my mom can come downstairs and go upstairs. It makes her much more independent.

I was getting all these high prices and then one company was offering 8 grand. Then Will, the salesman, got mine down to 8 grand by getting a used chair for the chairlift. It's a double-rail chairlift that goes up the steps and hangs a left. So I used Stannah. Two gentlemen came in for the installation. They finished in record time. They were very nice. They came from New Jersey to install the chairlift, which was amazing. They taught me how to go for a ride on it. The chairlift was structurally built very well. They took their time putting it together. They covered all the wires up.
The chairlift starts at the bottom of the steps on the outside of the railing and there are two round tubes that this chair rides on, and then it goes up around and it stays along the railing, and around nine steps up, it makes a sharp 90-degree turn and drops you off on to the landing. It's very nice. But the part for the step where you put your feet on is not performing well. You hit the button and it doesn't go down. I have to re-cycle everything in order to get it to go down sometimes for the feet. This issue didn't start till after the installers left and I don't know how to reach them.

The stairlift that I had to purchase was an outdoor one, so it was kind of specialized. I had two quotations that came to the house, and I chose Stannah. The sales guy that came out was Moe. He looked at what I needed. I purchased the stairlift through their 0% financing. I didn't really wanna buy a brand new one, and he offered a refurbished one, which is just as good as brand new for me because of the warranties. The quality was the same, and you would never tell whether it was new or used. I was fortunate that they did have one. He gave me a price, and that was how it worked.
Right now, every time I use the stairlift, it is fine. I don't see any issues with quality. It works as how it was presented to me as. If somebody had asked me if they needed to purchase a stairlift, I would recommend Stannah. I had no problem with the quotation, and currently, from what I have right now, I don't have an issue with the unit itself. The warranty is there, and it's working.

The lady from Stannah came in, and we talked about the stairlift. She measured then gave me a price. I had priced it before with other companies, and the price the lady gave me was about average. I made the decision to get the stairlift, then they did the install. I gave a deposit, and when they were done, I paid it off. My wife has been using the stairlift, and it looks and works good. It’s got three turns and it seems to fit perfectly. I'm happy with it, and I would recommend it.

I bought a Stannah stairlift for my elderly mother. I was able to do choose it via pictures and I measured. I didn't really meet the salesperson but she was very nice on the phone. We spoke a few times and made that they had everything that they needed on there before we set up the installation. My mother lives in a very old house in the front. There's this big open spiral staircase and it would have been way too expensive. Also, there are more stairs outside. So, we had to do two chairlifts in her back hall. It's really tight, but it's because the staircase is narrow and the stairlift fits there. Plus, I feel safer in it being with less space around.
But because the staircase is narrow, when you try to turn the chair at the top, the arms of the chair sort of hitting the railing. So, they're coming back this week to put a smaller armrest on her chair. Other than that, it seems like the stairlift works fine. I can do use it by remote control or I let my mom have full control on the chair. That would make her feel better to go at her own pace. It's a great concept and I'm hoping that once she gets over her fear of it, we can get her out more often.

The rep with Stannah was very helpful. He gave us lots of information. The stairlift seems to be working well. It's made it easier for both my wife and me to get upstairs and downstairs. I'd like it a little bit cheaper, but it worked out fine. We'd recommend it.

I like Stannah Stairlifts. I've had them for the last 15 years and recently did an upgrade. The process was excellent. Once I decided what I was gonna do, I called them and they were here within two days. They measured everything and made sure everything would fit. I had the old stairlift moved to my cellar stairs and the new one put on my stairs that went upstairs.

Tony, the sales rep with Stannah, came out to talk to us and measure out. He knew exactly what we needed and answered all my questions. Jen came out to install it and she was remarkable. She worked from 9:30 when she got here till 5:30 when it was finished. It's a very tight fit and if our stairwell was narrower by a quarter of an inch, we wouldn't have been able to put it in. But so far, it's worked well. It feels very secure. I am just waiting to hear about the status of our new motor to replace the defective one that's in the stairlift.

The Stannah Stairlifts seemed to be sturdier. They had fewer problems. They also can take someone that weighs more than I do. The installation was very good. The track had to be custom-made because it was going up, not only from the lower level, it had a stop at a landing, and then turn around and go back up the stairs to the upper floor.

Everything's wonderful - right from the salesperson, installation, the quality of the product, the warranty, even the handles on the chair itself. I like the chair itself and the safety features of the chair. I felt that the other chairs possibly someone could slide off of, where Stannah is not. I felt it was more secure. Also, when the salesperson came, how he did all the measurements, he was very particular and meticulous on everything.

The rep I spoke to was good and the installation was seamless. The stairlift is of good quality and it's working well for my mother. She's pretty comfortable and with it, she doesn't have to use the stairs. We've recommended Stannah to a few people who came to our house.

I was supposed to get my Stannah stairlift installed but it's an outdoor staircase and they got a rain forecast, so they canceled. But instead of just postponing it for a day, they postponed it for a whole week. So, I arrived at the house without any stair chair and I was not a happy camper. Other than that, it was a one-man install and he was polite. He gave us a little tutorial, which could have been a little better, but otherwise, he did a great job. The stairlift has worked fine so far and it has enabled me to get out of the house and get to the doctor. Without it, I don't know whether I would have been able to use this house.

I called Stannah and we set up an appointment, and they came. It was fast. The reps explained things in a cleared manner. In the first day of installation, two people working and then the next day, the same guys came. They were both good. It was a good experience.

We knew we wanna get the Stannah stairlift but we made sure my father was home and healthy first to invest in it. It was almost a token when he gets back from rehab. So, getting the stairlift installed took under six weeks. It was nobody's fault but time. My only thing is I never got confirmation that the installers were coming. I had to reach out to them. But as soon as I reached out, the sales rep was very responsive and I was given the window of 11:00 to 2:00, and the installers were there at the strike of 11:00, which was perfect. We needed to know about the time because it was at my parents’ home.
The quality is awesome and I would recommend it. I wish the price was negotiable but you get what you pay for. Being a recent amputee, my father doesn't have to worry about never going downstairs where he enjoys his man cave. That right there has been worth the investment and he's only been down a handful of times, so I can't wait to celebrate the holidays and everything else upcoming without asking how we are gonna get him downstairs.

The person who came down to demonstrate the Stannah Stairlift to us was very nice and knowledgeable. I was thinking maybe they would have to attach it to the wall, but after he got through talking to us, he said, "No, it's not intrusive." They just attach it to the stairs and if we ever had to take it out, there would be no damage to any part of the stairwell. It's attached to the stair treads and they fill it in a little bit. We've had it for a month now and it does the job. It does what we intended it. It's easy to use. It's no muss, no fuss. It's got very few controls for my wife. When she gets in it, she feels safe.

They were the most honest in conversation as far as prices. The rep who came out was wonderful. He was a kind guy and very respectful and knew I was in a craze with what was going on. The stairlift does exactly what we're looking for it to do. The remote controls are very helpful. The installation crew was first class. They came when they said they were supposed to. The installation went very well. They were there one day, assembled it in the garage, and installed it in five hours.

The Stannah stairlift is sturdy. The only thing I don't like is they put the wire under the door. I stepped on it twice.

Stannah Stairlifts came out to the house, did all the measuring, and gave me a quote. I've spoken to the sales rep three times over the last three years. So, I was very comfortable with her. She was good. We expected the installers between 9:00 and 11:00. And they called and told us they would be two hours late. We weren't happy about that, but the things happened. At least, they called and told us. They said it would take three to five hours. And it took five hours. The installation time was right. It was just a bit later than we expected. The stairlift is curved and indoor. The installers walked my mother through it. She was able to ask questions. And the person was very patient. He did a very good job explaining to her. The stairlift is exactly what I expected. Since it has gone in, my mother uses it every day. She could walk the stairs, but she chooses to use the stairlift. My mother is very happy with it. I couldn't be happier with her satisfaction with it.

The guy that did the install was also very good and very patient with me asking all my dumb questions. I had to sit on the stairlift and go down and he told me what to do. We did that a few times. The stairlift is very sturdy and comfortable. I feel safe in it.

The one time sales visit from Stannah was good as well as the installation. The guy was nice and polite. He was able to complete it all in one day. The quality of the new stairlift is great for my parents. People should get it because it's beneficial to elderly people that have handicap issues.

I've never heard of Stannah, but when I went online, they were listed as one of the top two stairlift places. I also saw that they're right here in New Jersey where I am. The other ones were out of state, and I didn't think it would work that great coming from a different state. It seems like places like that, if you've had any problems, wouldn't come back out again and fix things that went wrong. Stannah had a good reputation, and they gave me the warranty on everything for a while. The customer service was good, so I figured I'd go with Stannah.
The sales rep did great. He explained everything thoroughly, and he measured everything. My staircase is a little snug, and when the stairlift came, everything lined up perfectly. Everything was pre-installed already and it was just hooked up. The stairlift I had to choose was to get the first floor to the second floor, and it was a curved run. Everything goes up good, makes the turns fine and clears to the wall. It worked out good. The stairlift makes it much easier to go up and down the stairs not worrying about falling. I have more freedom to be able to move around the house.

Stannah Stairlifts came here the fastest. The rep was so nice. He went straight to the point. He sold me exactly what I wanted. And the best part is he was able to have the stairlift installed the next day. The guy came in first thing in the morning. He was very nice and professional. Even though my house was hot as hell, he did a great job. Everything was quick. The only thing I don't like is the beginning is scary, the way I hang in the air. I wish in the beginning the stairlift could come a closer to the edge, because I know that's the way they are, but it makes me nervous because I feel like I'll fall over. Other than that, our life is a lot easier because our family member is able to be part of the family more often.

Stannah Stairlifts' reps were very business-like, efficient, friendly, helpful in every way, neat and quick in their operations. They were rapid in their response. And they kept me informed by telephone of what would happen and when. I was impressed with them. The whole thing was a good experience. The stairlift seems very good quality. I called Stannah and they came a day or two later. The rep measured and explained how it worked. He showed me the brochure and what was gonna happen. I said, “I'm afraid it's gonna be too high.” He explained everything very nicely. He wasn't pushy. He said, “Just let me know what you wanna do.” He wanted to make sure, too, that my landlord would allow it. He waited for approval and sent the insurance information. Everything couldn't have gone smoother. The installer came at 8:00 and was done by 12:00 noon. He had to do two flights of stairs. I'm very pleased with the company. It's one of the best installs I've had. It's also very easy to use the stairlift. You just sit on it.

When I called Stannah, the rep asked me if I was able to take measurements of the steps. It is an old house, so it's old code. They're not as wide, and they are steeper than staircases that are made today. That was one of the things that I was afraid of. I gave him the measurements. He said, “We can do that. We'll send somebody out.” They came out within a couple of days. They took a look at everything and took more measurements.
The gentleman who came out, Tony, was very informative. He told me about the stairlift and showed me pictures of it. Stannah has been out there for years, so it has to be good. Once I saw it, I understood why. The installer was a young man named Brian. He was awesome. We talked a lot while he was doing it, and he was showing me all the different things. I was fascinated with the installation. Fortunately, there is accessibility to electricity right at the bottom of the stairs so we didn't have to worry about having any extra electrical work done in order to put it in.
My husband is very frustrated with the getting in and getting the stairlift to work. He has dementia, so it isn't always easy for him to follow directions. The first time he came down, we had a difficulty. He was afraid because he had to turn backwards to sit down. He didn't want to sit on it. He kept trying to put his foot down on the stairs. He was afraid he was gonna fall. The other day, he did it all by himself. He enjoys it because he can reach the top of the stairs without being out of breath like he was before, or come down and have to sit halfway and breathe until we get him on the oxygen.

I went to someone's house who had Stannah and I was impressed. I just called Stannah and they came out right away. The rep was excellent. It was fantastic with Stannah Stairlifts. They explained their service, looked at the special needs to the staircase, and gave us a proposal. We went over the options -- buying new, buying refurbished, what kind of addition we can put in that you put in the automatic turning at the top of staircase. We're very happy with it. It's a straight up and down staircase, but the chair curves at the top of the staircase. At the bottom, it had to be retractable rail so it doesn't block the entrance way.

Stannah did a good job. The salesman was accurate and good. The people that installed it were very knowledgeable, and it's been perfect ever since they walked out the door. I have a problem with the stairs. I have had a stroke, so my legs don't work that great. So every time I go upstairs to the bedroom or my bathroom, I use it. I use it quite a bit every day. The quality is perfect. Stannah is a very good company, at least, so far. I got everything I was supposed to get.

My wife filled out a thing on the web and at the end, you have to put your email in. She wasn't sure she was that interested yet. At about 8 o'clock in the morning, I got a call. We set up an appointment with Stannah as well as with three other companies. Stannah was right there first on the scene. They couldn't come any close to the prices of the other companies.
I was surprised at how long the installation was going to take. They had two people together and working. On the whole, everything was great. They made sure that they had a big area. One of them told us, “We're going to be working on the wall, down at the bottom where the things go and all of that.” That was all decided. We have a stairlift that goes down to the basement and one that goes up to the bedrooms. The installers were extremely professional. That was somewhere around 6 o'clock and it was a Friday.
We've had the stairlift for three weeks and it has everything we wanted on it. It's a little bumpy at the end where the foot comes down. There was also the "pam pam pam" sounds. Someone came and went through the whole thing. He couldn't get it any better. It's just, okay, this is the way the thing works. That aside, I like the stairlift. I'm the one that's doing it full-time. Stannah was great.

Until now, the Stannah stairlift has been really good. My parents are enjoying it. I didn't get a chance to speak to the sale associate because my husband was dealing with him, but I got to see the service. The guy was so helpful. He told us everything and how to deal with it. The stairlift looks good. It’s sturdy. I have an 83-year-old, 70-year-old, and 69-year-old in the house, and they all often use it to go up and down.
The only thing is I asked the guy who came to service, “Is it a 24 by 7 call? What if something bad happens and it’s stuck?” He said, on weekends, they're not available. They'll take time, and they'll come on their own time whenever an available appointment is. If something bad happens and somebody needs it urgently, they can manage for one or two days. If people cannot even get up, they had to wait for two more days for the service. I said that's not good because people who cannot go up and down ask for the service and if they cannot get the service for two days, I don't know how life is going to be for them. So, if they make a 24 by 7 call, it would be helpful.

We liked Stannah's price and the apparent quality, and most importantly, the sales rep that came out. He was very detailed and timely. He went through the system. He was very professional. The installation team did a very good job. They couldn't have been nicer guys. They knew what they were doing. They did a great install. There's one minor issue that I might have to report for service. The buttons to lower the footrest seems to jam a little bit. Overall, we've been using it for three weeks and it's great. It eliminates the risk of my father-in-law falling down the stairs.

We built an apartment for my mother and we put a Stannah in there for her. We did another one and the sales rep was great. He was very informative and we had a good chat. He was a nice person. We knew about Stannah anyway because we already had one. The installer was wonderful, very fast, and personable. We liked her a lot. The chairlift fits wonderfully. There's plenty of room to move around. We've gone up and down. We're in our 80s, so it's perfect for us to get up there. This chairlift has already impacted our lives. My husband has a problem going upstairs because he has a heart condition. I can get upstairs okay, but I use the chair now and then. The only thing is we haven't used the chairlift that much because they're redoing the inside of our garage and that's where it is. The chairlift goes up to a loft but there are people out there putting up wallboard.

The sales rep from Stannah Stairlifts, Moe, explained everything. They didn't really pester us to buy, and I appreciated that. They gave me time. We got a straight stairlift. It accomplished the purpose. My wife and I can get up the steps with it. We were both having difficulty. I went up rarely. My wife endured a lot of pain to get up there. The stairlift's quality is good. The first day we tried to use it, we got an error code. We worked that out and it's been good since. Stannah did a fine job. They were very professional.

The rep was very informative. The installer had trouble with the rain but she did a good installation. The stairlift helps me. If I had to climb the stairs, I would be short of breath. I wouldn't be able to make it. I like that the stairlift has that extra bar that comes out and it automatically comes in. It's of good quality and it works perfectly. Because it goes all the way to the top, I paid extra so I don't have to spin it around. It does that automatically and I get off on the top landing. Now, when I go down again, the chair is sitting on the first two steps. So, I have to turn the chair over to me so I can sit in, but the chair is sitting over two steps, the first two steps. So, I have to grab the handles and sit in the chair. I thought that it would come all the way up, but according to my son, it's physically impossible. They'd have to make another bend in the railing in order to bring the railing up to the top.

They even had a sales floor where you could go down and test drive their stairlift to see if it would work for you. As far as the installation, it didn't require any intervention from the customer's standpoint. The work went quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after the work, and they did a very good job. The stairlift is excellent. It's very safe and easy to use. There was just a manufacturing defect in the rail, and they need to come back and install a new rail.

The Stannah Stairlifts salesman was very professional. He was friendly and knew his business. The two installer installers came in. They knew exactly what they were doing. And it only took them a couple of hours to do it. I have double railings. I kept up a railing so that they put the chairlift that's a bit away from the wall that they normally do. But Stannah did it the way I wanted it. I was satisfied.
The stairlift fits and works very well. We have to make sure that the seat and the arms are up. And it's out of the way. If people didn't have a railing, it would have been closer to the wall and be more compact. But for us, it's fine. If we don't want to use it, we can go up and down the stairs easily. The only thing we had to get used to is that sometimes I say, "I've got to get down quick." The installers timed it. It is less than a minute for the chair to come up. But it feels like it's longer. It's not as quick as we would like it to be. But it's done that way for safety purposes. The quality is very good. That's one of the reasons I went with it. We live in a townhouse, we're in our 80s, and the stairlift keeps us in our home, which is exactly what it's supposed to do. That accomplished our goal.

The rep was very professional. He came on time and gave me a thorough review of the product. The stairlift works very well and it's of good quality. I like all the features. I saw one that was made several years ago and they've definitely added some new whistles and bells. There's a retractable piece at the bottom of the stairs that pulls up into itself and prevents tripping. That's a new feature and it's very nice. This stairlift is just what we needed and I'm very happy with it. It has made things much easier and made a living space accessible to my mom that was not accessible previously.

The two different gentlemen that we worked with were both really knowledgeable and thorough, as well as kind. The first day of the consultation, the gentleman was communicating about when he was coming and he was running behind because of construction. When he arrived, he had videos, photos, and he anticipated questions that we had and had answers before we even asked. It was a really easy, quick process because he was so knowledgeable about both the products, and also asking questions from us. It was the same thing with the installation. They did everything, and we didn't have to do anything to help or move stuff out of the way. They tacked everything and put the stairlift higher on the wall because it went to the basement, just in case it flooded. They were very thorough and neat. They cleaned everything up on the way out, like the stairlift just magically appeared. There's nothing I would have changed as part of the process.
The guy did a full tour of stairlift and also the instruction manual. We went through that as well and the different things we may need. We have the straight stairlift, and it has the automatic swivel as well as the extension that folds up and comes out automatically. It's been hugely helpful 'cause my dad can still be independent in coming and going when his caregiver isn't there. It enabled him to have the ability to get out on days when he couldn't leave the house ‘cause it would have been dangerous.
The Stannah stairlift is a hefty investment, but it's worth the money. The quality of it is really good and there's nothing that needs to be changed or upgraded. I was surprised by how streamlined and small it is. I was thinking of a '90s version that people see at old libraries. Overall, it was a great experience. If we moved for any reason or had to do it again, we would use Stannah. I would recommend them to anyone as well.

The only thing we had a problem with Stannah was there was a communication problem with the installers. We have a handrail where they put the lift on and one of them was asking my husband if we want to keep the handrail or not. My husband said if he can keep it, he'll keep it. It was not explained to us that if they would take it out, we would gain some space and would have been very nice to gain that space. That was upsetting that we weren't made aware of that. It's a little tight in the stairwell. Also, when I press the button for the foot lift, it's very noisy. Other than those, it works seamlessly.

The person that sold our Stannah stairlift was very professional. She explained everything nicely, made all of us very comfortable and offered any kind of help. My mother was moving in, and she's 80 years old with some mobility issues. We decided on a stair lift, and got one from Stannah. I loved the salesman, Jonathan. He was fantastic. Also, I thought Stannah's rail system worked best in our house. We have a lot of twists and turns in our stairs, and a lot of the other systems we looked at were very wide and cumbersome. Stannah had the most sleek looking design. My mom gets there, she gets up and down, so all is well. I think it will massively increase her quality of life.

The gentleman was cautious about the extension of the stairlift where it met the bottom of the stairs. There was a doorway that came out from the side, and he saw that as a potential trip hazard. He was reluctant to install it until he spoke to his supervisors. His supervisors recommended two lines at the bottom of the contract, asking me to demonstrate that I was aware of the hazard and that I would fix it by putting something in its way. At that time, I temporarily put a refrigerator there, so that way, that end of that bar did not represent a trip hazard. The installer was happy with that. The Stannah stairlift fits in the stairwell. I can walk past it if I'm not carrying anything. I wish it went faster though.

We have a chairlift in the house that goes down from the first floor down to the garage, and the Stannah one goes down the front steps. The crew that came out was in and out. The Stairlift has been fine. We use it every day. The only thing that I have noticed since is the red button to lock it. Sometimes, if someone doesn't realize it and they took the chair down and they hit that red button by mistake because it's right on the side, then they can't get the chair back up because it's locked. So, we just had to be careful of hitting that on it.

I felt that the Stannah stairlift was the safest and I was happy with their reviews. It was just a little bit more expensive than the other choices I would have had. The sales rep was very quick and thorough and gave me a price immediately and stuck by it. I got a straight, indoor stairlift and it fits well into the stairwell. The only problem is I had to change my entrance door, which was an extra expense. I don't know if there was any other way to do it. According to them, there wasn't. The installer was quick and efficient and very pleasant. As far as the stairlift, I like the footrest and the swivel when you get to the top so that it swivels around so that it's even with the landing. Naturally, it made things easier.

Stannah's rep was a wonderful young man. He was thorough and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was very personable. We were very pleased with him. We chose Stannah based on who did installations in the area where we live and lease options. Rather than purchase outright, we liked the leasing options. Stannah had great plans with the lease and buyback options within the first two years if we should no longer need the stairlift.
The installer was also very thorough and made sure that the stairlift fits into the stairwell and that it had the space and that it didn't pose any danger as far as when it's in its resting position. So, we're very happy with the spacing. The stairlift is great. It does have remote controls, but my mother is able to manipulate it up and down. She wouldn't have been able to come home if we did not have that because she would have been locked in her room unable to come down and participate with us, have dinner, sit, and watch television in the living room. She would have had to stay on one level. So, it was life-changing.

I've heard a lot of good things about Stannah. We had someone come in and she took me through the pricing and measured the stairs and looked at the stairway and suggested what lift we need. I had done my research online. It was all very positive. There was no high-pressure sales pitch. It was, “You tell us what you need, and we'll help you pick the best pricing and everything in that regard.” We got the regular indoor straight stairlift. When we put it in, it looked clumsy but it fits. It blends right in. When you come into our front door, the stairway is right there to go upstairs, and it blends into everything. I go up and down the stairs regularly, and it's not cumbersome at all. It fits into the everyday living and the aesthetics of the house perfectly.
The technician they sent was fantastic, very patient, and professional. I asked a lot of questions just out of curiosity. He was able to explain everything. Once everything got installed, my mother was home, and he took her up in it, walked her through the whole process of going up the stairs, talked her through it, how to use the chairlift, going up, and then same thing coming down, how to use it and getting in and out of it safely. My mother likes the foot rest. It's an automatic one. You press the button. It comes right down and then goes back up. She likes that the best because it's comfortable going up, too. I watched the technician install it. He did not rush at all. It's solidly built. We haven't had any issues using it at all. It's been a huge help. Now, my mother is able to go up much easier. Overall, we're very pleased with it.

We have had a Stannah stairlift since we moved to Andover in 1989. I had two, I had one from the basement to the first floor, and one from the first floor to the second floor. When we moved to Tewksbury 12 years ago, we brought one with us and put it from the second floor to the attic. I had a new one put in from the first floor to the second floor. I have just been so pleased. I have recommended Stannah to two people, and they have both bought Stannah Stairlifts. The team at Stannah is great. As far as the quality of the stair lift, it's all quality. Every piece of it is top-notch. It's very easy to use. The only thing that I have a problem with is the little piece of carpeting or rug on the stair lift keeps coming up, and I keep gluing it down. Other than that, I could not be happier.

Jonathan came out and showed me the product, and I was thrilled with it. I needed it soon, and Stannah was able to do that. Jonathan was friendly but he was very professional. He came in and took the measurements of my stairwell, and then gave me the pros and cons of the different models. The only thing that I had to choose was the color of the seat. I went with a brown, straight stairlift with the extension that goes beyond the stairs themselves. Dwayne came to do the installation and he was very professional. He measured the stairs and brought in all the pieces that had to be built into the frame itself. It was pretty painless. They said it usually takes four to six hours, but he was done in three hours.
The chairlift is more for my sister who has Parkinson's. She has a hard time navigating the stairs and she's here quite often. But I'm having knee issues and now I need it too. I only had to call Stannah back once because the extension wasn't allowing the chair to come all the way down the stairs. So Dwayne came back the next day after I called and he had to do a little adjustment. He said to just keep an eye on it. They told me about the warranty. So we're just watching it, and make sure it doesn't get hung up again.

Stannah's chairlift was available to rent as opposed to buying it. A fine young guy came in, explained everything, and answered all my questions. He told me all the pricing and how everything works. That sounded fine and I said to go ahead and put in the chairlift. I had it put in last October for my bedroom going upstairs. The installer was a great guy and he was here for about an hour and a half. He did everything and made no mess at all. The chairlift is working perfectly and everything looks good.

The rep was kind and knowledgeable, and answered my questions. One gentleman came for the installation and he explained what he was doing. He was neat and cleaned up after himself. The reps were very nice and friendly. They came and took measurements, and I asked them if they could reduce the price. They said they will not under no circumstances. Three weeks later, they had to revisit the measurement because there was something wrong. But they even delivered two weeks ahead of schedule. In less than three hours, two people had the installation done. I'm glad I chose Stannah over others. The rep said they were not the cheapest because they have a good product. And they do have a good one. My wife and I sit very comfortably in the chair. It makes things easier going up and down the stairs. I’m very pleased with Stannah. I recommend the stairlift to anybody who's over 215 weight. Their tracks look professional and not like the other guy’s tracks, which look like something on a puzzle.

The sales rep came over to the house, sat down on my dining room table and discussed how the whole process works. We gave him a deposit right away. We got the straight indoor stairlift. The installer told me how to use it and how it worked. The stairlift is a little bit slow, but it worked great. Overall, Stannah seemed very professional.

The sales rep came in and asked us what we needed the stairlift for, where we wanted it and what we were looking for it to do. Then he explained how it would be installed and what the standard on one would be as well as what you could get for upgrades. He said we don’t have to do anything now. We can get the basic model and later on, if we wanna upgrade, it’s just the additional cost. So, he was very informative and helpful. On the day of the installation, the tech showed up on the time he was supposed to. We checked all the measurements and at that point, he realized that they mismeasured the track by about six inches. But he said it was not a problem. He called Stannah and they had another tech come out and bring a track that would fit. Meanwhile, he had everything else ready to go and then, he put the track.
We got the stairlift because our parents are elderly and they stay here a lot. My parents come to visit for a month or two in the summer and my in-laws come on different locations to stay. We have been setting up a bedroom in our kids' play rooms and we even had looked at hideaway beds. The stairlift will at least get them up the stairs, get them into a natural bedroom and get them access to the bathroom for showers. But we've used the stairlift. It's nice, smooth, easy and comfortable. Our grandkids wanna use it as a ride.

My sister-in-law did a lot of research on stairlifts for my father-in-law, and she found some competitors. She spoke with them. Then, she thought Stannah was good, so we reached out to Stannah, spoke with them, and had the sales rep come over. We wanted to take my father-in-law to a showroom to see if he can operate it. It's one thing to buy, to bring it, to have it, install it, but what if he doesn't use it? So, we took him there to make sure that it would fit his need. It was quite expensive in the sense it was double what we were thinking. We decided to go for it because it was the safest option. The thing I liked is they did not push us. After that visit to the warehouse, nobody even contacted us at all. I had to reach out to them to say, “Hey, we'd like to proceed.” So, I really did appreciate that. There's no pressure.
Once the initial deposit was made, they said it would take three months, but the customized whatever came from the UK earlier than expected. They said, “Hey, we're ready.” I had to say, “No, I'm not ready. Come in a week.” They came. It was a flawless installation. They were very well prepared. It took less than three hours, and the installer was also very patient with my father-in-law, explaining to him multiple times how to use it. As far as the stairlift, it is safe. It has a lot of features to ensure safety, which is great. It looks good. You don't really notice it. It's doing what it's supposed to do rather well.

A salesperson came out and we had a lot of questions because of the configuration of the stairs. We went with a straight rail because of the timeframe. The custom rail was gonna take too long. After we ordered the straight rail, we decided we wanted to go with the curve. But we didn't wanna stop the curve from being installed, so we called the sales rep. She did not respond back in a timely fashion. We made multiple phone calls to her cell as well as the office and we weren't getting anywhere with that. Finally, the day before they were gonna do the installation, she called. That part was not ideal. It was such an unpleasant experience that we decided we would just stick with what we ordered and we did not upgrade to the custom one.
The installer that came was nice. It's just that the cover on the bottom was loose. He thought he fixed it but that was one of the reasons why the stairlift was malfunctioning. We had two or three service calls after it came in for error number five. The error said that something was blocking the stair, but it wasn't. We had a guy come back and he thought he fixed it and that still did it. We had the third guy, a senior tech, come in and he made some adjustments and it's been fine since. It's just it took three service calls the first week just to get the stairlift running correctly.
There are also certain things about the stairlift that we don't like. I can't really say that it's the stairlift. It could be more the stairs themselves. It goes up to the landing and it didn't stop on the landing. It stops at the stair before the landing and then you turn. I don't know if that's a safety issue but we don't care for that. You can't leave the chair down at the bottom because it beeps. You have to take it back up at least halfway. Other than that, the stairlift has helped. Thomas, the one living here, would not be able to get up the stairs without it. He still has to move over 4 stairs, but 4 is better than 14.

Stannah's sales rep was very informative, pleasant, and polite. He showed us the video and he was efficient. The installer was fantastic, too. We had one little problem and she figured it out. She said she had not seen that problem before and she was going to let the company know that there was some flaw in a wire that was not right. The installation took less than three hours and since then, our experience with the stairlift has been really good. We like the swivel on it and the remote control. We got the straight model and it's indoors. It helps us go up one flight of stairs and so far, the quality is there. But it costs a lot of money. Still, when my son-in-law inquired about it for his mother, I told him that it was the way to go.

Our son Kevin purchased a round stairwell for us. Their rep Tony was very nice and helpful. I had to call him back a couple of times and he was very courteous. The two people who installed it were fabulous and they worked hard. They never stopped and they cleaned up afterwards. The stairlift is very helpful for going up the stairs. I have very bad knees and my husband has even worse.

The service man that Stannah sent out was really good at what he did. He explained what he was doing and what the benefits were. He was very pleasant. He answered questions I had about it. There was one thing that I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with. He left kind of a key. I don't know where that goes and why. I'm very pleased with the stairlift. I don't use it all the time, but if I need it, it's there. It blocks my closet but if I leave it upstairs, I can get into the closet. It's the only way it could have been installed. So, now that I know I could keep it upstairs, I can get into the closet. Other than that, I like that it stopped when I put the pressure off. I've had experiences where I kind of fell asleep halfway through and it stopped. I also like the seat belt feature. I really like the payment plan that I'm not getting charged interest for not paying it all off right away. That was very helpful to me.

I was studying Bruno when I came across Stannah. I called Stannah's phone number, and a very distinguished and proper salesperson, David, came to my home and explained to us. With the history of the company, the explanations of the advantages of Stannah, the fact that the products are made in England for many years, and the price was very similar to Bruno, I decided to try Stannah. So far, I have had it for a month. I'm very happy with it.
The stairlift is a perfect thing. It's quiet, comfortable, and relatively compact. I find it to be a very solid instrument as opposed to a light, dangerous and delicate instrument. Also, it fits pretty well into the stairwell. The only thing is the place where you put your feet makes noise when you fold it. It cracks. I think a rubber piece should be put some place so it doesn't make noise. Because if this is in the middle of the night, it's a metal against metal type of a noise. The thing is very slow, too. It takes 85 seconds to go one floor. I think the remote control should be such that you press once and it goes all the way. If you are calling the machine from one floor to another and you have to wait there at the bottom or the top of the stairs 85 seconds, it's a little bit boring. It's not impossible to handle, but it will be nicer if you just press one button and it goes up or down.

The installation of our Stannah was easy. Two guys came out and they were professional. They cleaned up and showed me how to operate it, and were out of here within four hours. At first, I was a little bit worried, because the stairlift looked flimsy, even though they say it will hold up to 350 lbs. But I rode it myself with them showing me the product and it is sturdy. I was given two remotes, one to keep at the top of the stairs, and one to keep at the bottom that I can use to bring my dad up and down. There are also the on-arm buttons, that if the person was independent, could bring themselves up and down without the remote. Unfortunately, it's not cheap and for elderly people who don't have finances, it's hard. Medical does not cover it. But they have a 0% finance offer that breaks up your payments over five monthly payments.

I got Stannah through ConsumerAffairs. I checked out their company and it works for me. I called up the guy and he was great. The installation was super smooth. The stairlift works well. So far, there's been no problem. I'm a contractor myself so I know good work and courteous people.

Stannah came and installed the stairlift. There was a demonstration. And the communication was straightforward. The stairlift has worked out perfectly for my dad. He likes it. It has made his life a lot easier.

Stannah Stairlifts' quote came out to be the most reasonable and with the most benefits as far as the stair lift. Also, they were the only company that could offer 5 point harness and told us if we get a curved stair lift, we have to build the extension to the kitchen. They would not install it, because it's a safety issue. Or if we wanted a retractable, it's on a straight stair lift. But with the price they provided on a straight stair lift, that electronic retractable rail was included. Otherwise, I would have to build that, but Stannah would say they would not install it until either this is in place or because of safety. I appreciate that.
The customer service, the quality of product, the technicians, and the sales rep that worked with us were all very professional, knowledgeable, and have worked with us. We have the one appointment, and we chose the seat cover. But when we ordered, it was out of stock. But the follow up appointment happened quickly. We also decided to upgrade to a swivel that is electronic versus just the handheld. The installation went as scheduled. It was five hours, but that's expected. And before the first technician left, he explained everything and showed us how everything operates.
If something happens with the chair and we have to get my dad upstairs for the day, the rep said to call her, and she would do what she can help us with. But I wish there was after hours technical support because emergencies happen. Other than that, before, three of us would have to get my dad to the first floor. Now, we can get dad to the living room and have him not just in his bedroom.

We have some different friends and other people that have used stairlift. We decided between Stannah and one other company. Then we had the two companies come out. After weighing the pros and the cons, and what people had said about Stannah being the better of the two, we decided to go with Stannah. Everybody was excellent. We're still waiting for one custom chair to come in, but we've had two with the regular ones so far. We're not completely done with installation but so far, it's been fine. Everything was smooth and it's what we were looking for. We have to wait for the last one that is a custom one. Hopefully, that's gonna be as smooth.

My mother's aide had just gotten a Stannah stairlift for her own mother and she said she had a positive experience, so we decided to take her lead and ordered the stairlift for my mom. Will was our rep and he was wonderful and very informative. The installation went very quickly and well. Everything was explained thoroughly. We've enjoyed the stairlift ever since. My mother is enjoying it immensely. It took a load off of her. It was the best thing that we had done. My mom's life was renewed and she is able to get downstairs and go out again.

The Stannah stairlift is great. It's the best thing I ever did. I liked that the company was family-owned. It was local on Long Island.
