Stannah has a good rating on the Better Business Bureau site for repairs and service, which led me to choose them. The sales visit was great. It was very helpful, informative, efficient, and included a full explanation. The installation team was great. I have one stairlift between the first and second floor and another one down to the basement. They're very easy to operate, and when issues come up, they're very easy to fix because there's a window that shows the number of the issue. You can look it up on the website and solve it very easily, so I haven't had to call for any kind of service. The problems I've had were ones that I created myself and I haven't had any reportable problems with them since I got them. The stairlift is well made. I don't see any parts that could break down easily or parts that are exposed. It all seems very sturdy, so I've been very pleased with them.

Stannah Stairlifts called us back. They sent someone here. He was very good at showing us the options. They came four or five days after we purchased, installed the stairlift, and it went very good. They warned us to move our big stuff in before we installed the chairlift. It has worked well. My husband and son are big guys, and they go up and down. Also, I'm able to get up to take a shower upstairs. Go with Stannah.

I put in another name, and it brought up Stannah Stairlifts. I thought I was looking at the other name. I was looking to get something done quickly, so I just stayed with Stannah. There were time delays on things, which I didn't appreciate, but I understand things happen. It was good and professional. The stairlift is for someone in my church, and it's everything that we needed it to be.

Stannah had a great rating. Their customer service was very good. The stairlift has fine quality. It works fine.

My husband has spinal stenosis and he can't walk very well. He needs help to get to a toilet in the house, so we decided to order a stairlift. He felt that Stannah was the best from all he read online, so we went with them. In our home, we have two steps up to the bathroom, then the stairs continue up and around. And when we ordered, we said we wanted to stop at the toilet, but Stannah's reps didn't do that. So, they had to redo it. Other than that, the stairlift's sturdiness is fine.

I interviewed three other companies, and Stannah Stairlifts was the best. Their reps were most knowledgeable and seemed to be more experienced. The sales visit was positive. The installers were young, friendly, and knew what they were doing. It was good. After the installers finished the job, my wife said that she wished she had ordered the burgundy seat cover. The installer said he had one in the truck and he was just gonna give it to her, and he did. That was wonderful. We got the stairlift that has two curves in it and it has worked perfectly, and we’re happy.

A friend of mine had a son that works for Stannah that installs them, and she said, “You should call the company that Greg works for.” So I called Stannah, and they came. The gentleman was very nice. The bottom line was like $2,000 more than the other company, but it was so much better made. This one is much stronger and has better quality. It had the button to push down the little footrest. So, we ordered it through that, and it was installed last week, and we're very happy with it. It's bigger than I thought it was going to be, but it works very well.

Overall, a very satisfying experience including two prompt repair visits needed soon after installation. About those repairs: Twice, while exiting the seat, I have caught my right heel on the shield on the lower part of the right-hand side of the chair (from the rider's perspective) displacing it, incapacitating the device and necessitating a call for repair. I have learned this is a common problem and results from the deletion of two screws used to hold the shield in place in former models.

My husband and I are very much along on years, and we have our exercise equipment in the basement. We have both been hospitalized this year, and we're having a hard time recovering. Going down the stairs, initially was hard for both of us, and it continues to be hard for my husband. We thought it was time to invest in a stairlift. We had a friend who had one and has had it for about three years and was very happy with it. He got a reference from a friend who we know is a great researcher before he buys anything and had researched it. I was hesitant at first because I like everything made in the USA, but Stannah was not. But I filled out something online for more information.

I research online on different stairlift companies and I was looking for one that did not have the rail or the chain link piece that carries the chair too low to the ground because I have three golden retrievers. I wanted something that was going to be pet-friendly and not get gunked up with dog hair. We started looking into Stannah, then my father-in-law who lives with us had a fall, so getting the stairlift was something that became a rather urgent matter. They came out the next day and did the measurements. Their reps were very professional and very quick.

We like the Stairlift. But, it did break down two months after installation. It took a week to get a repair person, but he was great. However, he had to fix several small problems with the original installation that had led to the lift getting out of alignment.

My Stannah stairlift fits fine into the stairwell. However, because the stairlift that I have does not swivel, it presents a safety issue. I've already discussed that with Stannah. I'm a Stannah customer for over 20 years. My first stairlift had a swivel. It would turn the person around. This current one does not. I would not have had one installed that doesn't swivel. The one that I have requires memory. If someone has dementia, they have a problem with memory. They're not going to do that extra step. They're going to fall down the stairs.

There was an issue with initial install but a resurvey and subsequent replacement/ installation resolved all issues. Very happy with final result as it met all our needs and requirements for clearance and safe access.

Three times the Stannah Stairlifts rep told me the stairlift would be installed. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled, and I had to cancel them because I couldn't get back up the steps. The first one was the 29th of June. And the second date, they told me it was a misunderstanding. They told me they just opened the box the night before, and there was a part missing. Kevin told me when I ordered the thing that they had them in stock, but they didn't order. I don't know what happened there.

My mother took a couple of days to actually figure out all of the steps she's supposed to do to get on and off the Stannah stairlift, but it's working great so far. We're very pleased. Other than that, when we had to change the initial installation date, I called up Stannah and everything was fine with their reps. Then, the tech who came out to install it was excellent. He did it fairly quickly, did all the explanations on what to do, and left all of the correspondence. He was very helpful.

We did an internet search and came upon Stannah Stairlifts. When their rep came out, he was the best salesman that was in for a long time. Then, the installation went really well and everything went as planned. We have no complaints. We got the stairlift that curves, and it is used in the morning and at night. So far, I noticed a could of hitches on it. One is there's a little bit of vibration when the chair is moving up and down. I don't expect it to be vibration free, but there is way more vibration than I anticipated. Also, we failed to follow up on the rebate check that their office was supposed to send to cover for the fact that the seatbelt that we ordered was across the chest, not across the waist.

When my sister tries to get up, she'd be dizzy and fall down. Her legs couldn't hold her up. We got her a Stannah stairlift and it was working okay for her. Once we get her home, we'll keep it going. We give them 5 stars.

My son, Brett, did some research on the internet and found the reviews for Stannah were very good, and we chose to go with it. My wife was in a bad car accident, so she walks with a cane. The stairlift makes it easier to go up and down the stairs and the house.

Our experience with Stannah has been good. We’ve had it for almost a month now, and it’s for my mom. She is almost 95 and was struggling with stairs with her hands and her arms, so she agreed to get one. The salesperson said the stairlift would have enough clearance and it would be to code. So, I said we were good. The installation team was wonderful. They did what they had to do. I needed to put in an outlet, which I had not realized before, and we got it done. We were told that without the stairlift being plugged in, the battery would run out in about eight days. It ran out just as the electrician was coming in so that was very accurate. I wanted to make sure it was gonna start again and the team that installed it said to give it 24 hours of charge, and it should be good. And it was exactly as they said.

They had to come back and take some more pictures, ‘cause the factory got back to the salesman that they needed a couple other scans. Other than that, everything went smoothly. The installation team was highly professional too. I've been a contractor for over 50 years, and they don't fool around. They came in, did their work and all came out fine. They’re very serious about what they do. The stairlift I got turns twice on the way up and I love the quality. One can tell. Having been a contractor a long time, I've seen all kinds of things, including other stairlifts, and this one is absolutely first rate. I would recommend Stannah Stairlifts highly.

I am really pleased with the Stannah stair lift. As someone who has MS, the stair lift is more than necessary for my quality of life! I couldn't imagine life without it. There are days when I could walk down the stairs in the morning, but there aren't many days that I could walk up the flight of stairs at the end of the day. The rep, Gene, was truly a compassionate and concerned man. He went through all of the logistics of having a stair lift. It was custom made for my home and professionally installed. The customer service is responsive to the needs of the client. I would highly recommend Stannah 10/10 times!

I went with Stannah based on my research, the length of time the guys have been in business, the reliability, and then ultimately the cost. I had a very good experience with the sales rep. I got a straight stairlift and Stannah did a good setup. But the installation was not a good experience. The installer ended up removing a banister in a way that damaged the wall. When I asked how that was going to be addressed, his first response was, "Well, that's on you to fix." I told him, "Absolutely not. That should have been discussed with me before you did it, if you thought it was going to damage my property."

I got a straight up and down stairlift from Stannah. The installer did a perfect job, but it took four hours. The device is terrific, and it's really made it easier for me to get around the house safely. It has no problems. It solved a serious problem in our house, and has worked flawlessly, and I would recommend it to anybody who needs to do something like this. My sister tells me I paid too much, but I don't care. The chair has been very reliable. The salesperson was very professional and attentive to our needs. Installation went as well as claimed, and there have been no complaints or problems. Compared to the other companies contacted for quote, Stannah stood out as superior.

I use the Stannah lift every day at least once a day. Sometimes three times a day. It is very trustworthy. It never fails in the each time that I need to use to stand a lift, it is always charged up and ready to go. It is also very sturdy. I weigh 210 pounds and once a week I carry my laundry basket full of laundry with no issues. I also liked the way the bottom 3 feet section folds up out of the way during the day. I had this Stannah lift installed three years ago.

We called Stannah to get a price to see whether we could get a stairlift or a stair elevator. We went with a stairlift because we have a nice, wide staircase. We could have put an elevator in because we also have a space where we could do that. But when looking at the price difference between a stair chair and an elevator that works just as efficiently, we went with a less expensive item. The stairlift works beautifully. The only reason I use it right now is to bring laundry downstairs to the first floor, and then take it back upstairs. But it saves my back and the potential of falling. So, we use it for something that's really not getting our physical bodies up and down the steps. The only complaint I have is that we were supposed to get paperwork for the possibility that you could get a rebate on tax. Also, If we sell the house, that guarantee and everything goes with it, but we'd like to have proof of purchase and the paperwork that goes with it.

Renting the Stannah stair chair was an attractive decision, based on my wife’s necessity. Gene ** is a fabulous representative for Stannah. He is actually the primary reason I made the decision. He did not hard-sell it. His presentation was flawless. A fine gentleman. The installer was also a fine young man, respectful and intelligent. The combination of those two, plus my initial conversation with the receptionist convinced me I made an excellent decision on choosing Stannah. Thank you all.

We had a new Stannah stair lift installed on April 14, 2026. This has been one of the most pleasant experience We ever had from the beginning until end. The entire team beginning with Paul ** as the sales contact, Ryan as the program manager, Greg as the installation tech and the service tech, whose name I failed to record, were all a pleasure to deal with. They were all professional, knowledgeable courteous and patient. They made sure that we fully understood and were comfortable with the answers to our questions. The installation was well planned and executed. The work area was well protected from the construction impact and the space never showed any hint of disruptive activities.

I purchased this stairlift for my spouse because of her mobility issues. It was a Godsend that she has the ability to go upstairs without the threat of falling. The quality of this product is 5 star and easy to operate. Very satisfied.

Our chair lift is great and I told my sister in law Gert ** about it and she got one for her husband, my brother in law Jack and said she told them my name. Not sure how it works but I didn’t get my referring bonus.

My wife began to struggle with the stairs to go to bed in our two story house. She did not want to go to a continuing care facility as we both loved our home by the sea. The Stannah chairlift gave her the feeling of independence and gave me peace of mind. It worked flawlessly from the moment it was installed. We never had any issues. She recently passed away from cancer in the comfort of her own home.

Have medical issues and NEED those chairs. Call for maintenance and was told we had to wait more than 5 days for onsite repair. This week one chair is acting up and are looking for repair, again cannnot be here must wait til Friday, same 2 adults NEED to sit and wait for repairs. This is NOT up to our expectations and not for the money we have paid. We are not happy with this attitude of this company. We have Medical issues, I am on oxygen. Perhaps more service/repair personnel need to be hired.

My salesperson Rich was straightforward, gave me sound advice. I was familiar with Stannah as friend had installed one. Installation scheduled and accomplished quickly. Can't recall installer's name but he did an outstanding job. Very pleased with Stannah experience.

Had to replace a faulty chair in less than two years. Company said they would reach out to me and never did. Lack of technical support on the weekend left my 92 old mother and wheelchair bound husband stranded. Chair would not move. Company said they would reach out to me and never did. Paid $4000 for a chair to stop working after 2 years and the company seemed indifferent. These chairs are life and death for many people and the company needs to understand that when they stop working, it is critical. They contracted with Bedco Mobility after a year to service and we were left stranded.

My wife needed a stair lift. I searched online and then we had Stannah come do their presentation. It was pretty easy. When they did the installation, they put it on the top of the stairs slowly. They put it together and then they brought it down. They walked us through it. It was really good. They did a good job. It was a little expensive. But I’m happy with the price.

I looked on the internet and I saw that ConsumerAffairs recommended Stannah Stairlifts. So, I made an appointment to talk to them. We have two flights of stairs going up, so the stairlift that we got goes straight up, makes a curve at the bottom, and goes around the newel post. Then it goes up the stairs, makes a curve around the landing, and curves to go up the second half of the staircase. And then it curves at the top, so that when my wife gets off it, she's not facing the stairs, but facing the hallway and can therefore be safer.

The have a high-quality product and were good at communicating timelines and checking in. Their reps walked us through the options and were courteous and professional. It was quick and painless. We got a quote on the spot, and had a four-week lead time, and we were happy with that. The installers walked us through everything. They were very helpful. We're happy with the whole process. My father-in-law says the stairlift is great.

I got a lumbar spine problem, and I could barely walk. I had to have a stairlift going to the basement. Stannah Stairlifts was strongly recommended by the dock company over in the west side of New Hampshire and I went with them. The price is reasonable and my experience with the sales rep was perfect. There was one guy for the installation, and he was great as well. He demonstrated the buttons, levers, and all those parts. I went with a straight stairlift, but it's a little tight on my knees ‘cause the stairway is fairly narrow. The gal who sold it to us said that it would work, and it does, but I just got to make sure that my knees don't get hung up on the handrail. The seat is a little tight, but that's because of the narrow stairway. But I could fit in it, and it works, and that's all that matters.

My wife has been going downhill lately, so she needed some help getting up and down the stairs, because our bedrooms are on the second floor. So, we got a couple of prices and spoke to a couple of salespeople and a couple of different companies. By comparison, we chose Stannah. We're very happy. It’s not pleasant to have that. It is kind of in the way, and it is kind of ugly. But the alternative is a cripple person who can't use her house, so it's worth having it. It’s pretty simple and reliable, so far. It works well. Now, she can use the upstairs with a lot less effort.

The quality of the Stannah stairlift is very good. But their buyback policy, for one, is not great. But it was something that, at least, leaves a little bit of the pain of getting rid of it. But also, it was kind of a quick decision, too, so I didn't do a lot of research. But I like their system. Their salespeople were very straightforward. The look of the system was nice and did what we needed it to do. It also fits fine in our stairwell. I personally really like it. However, I find it a little complicated for my mother at her age, but it's because it has a midway stop. There's really no way around that. I am very happy with the product myself. They also have many different options with the chair being used and things like that, and that helps alleviate some of the cost. I found the cost reasonable for what it is.

My wife needed to go up and down the stairs in our house. And it was getting more and more difficult for her to go up and down to the point where it was really painful. And either we had to abandon one level for her, or we had to get a stairlift that would make it possible for her to use that. Everybody we've talked to who knew anything about stairlifts said Stannah is the stairlift to get. So far, it's worked very well. But if anything is frustrating, it's how slow it goes. Especially when it's being called up and down and not being used. But it's safe, and it's easy to use. It gives my wife access to a floor she couldn't get to in our home. It's wonderful. It does take up some room, though. But it's manageable. It was expensive. But it was worth it for the benefit that we got.

They did a great job. I also like that they have a significantly large office in Nassau County, which was reasonably close to me, and you want people who are close by in case there's a need. Of the two representatives that came here, the Stannah one had an idea for enlarging the bottom landing that I thought was a good one. I liked the guy who came out first and the advice he gave. My wife needed the stairlift. It allows her to get up the stairs when she comes home. She uses the stairs to go down.

We went with Stannah Stairlifts because of the program where we could pay half and wait six months to decide if we're going to need it longer or not, as opposed to Acorn where we just had to pay upfront. The installation was fine. Very nice young man. And the product is great. We explained to friends why we went with Stannah. We would have gone with Acorn if they had offered this same deal, because they were fine to deal with before, but they don't offer rentals anymore, and that's why we turned to Stannah. It's not one product over another. It was the financial aspect of it.

I purchased the stairlift for the purpose of my husband's use. However, when Stannah first put it home, they had to remove one of the bars, and he wanted the bar replaced. He hasn't been able to use it yet, because he's had a lot of issues with falls. But I've used it to carry things and it has served that perfect. I appreciated the fact that we got it corrected in time. There was one issue, which I did not realize because of the refund. I had to correct that, and I sent the correct amount that it needed to be replaced, so that worked out.

Our Stannah stairlift goes straight up and down and is very easy to use. It has a seat belt, I put it on, and the foot rest goes up and down. I get up top the steps and bring it back around like it's going to go down, and I fold the arms, seat, and foot rest up so the stairs can still be used. Also, it's not noisy and is competitively priced.

We got the stairlift that curves and it works very well. It was a little louder than we expected, but it's not horrible. The price was a little high but it seemed like the going rate.

The rep came right out within four hours, and the crew was here within two weeks to install it. Very good experience. My husband used the stairlift and he's very happy with it. It goes in all the way and goes right down the stairs. In the wintertime when we’re running the wood stove, my husband will be able to go up and down and fill the wood stove. It got bad last winter because when we run the wood stove, he has to go up and down every couple hours, but he couldn't do it. Go with a stairlift.

The presentation with Stannah Stairlifts took long, but it was okay. Installation took like four hours. I heard that they can come in and out easily, and I guess I was wrong. The stairlift takes up a lot of room. I'm not happy with the room that it takes up. I just got out of the hospital, and I have nurses and OT coming in, and they have to turn sideways to get past it. Also, everybody is telling me that I overpaid, but I don't even know what they go for. I only have 16 stairs, and I paid 5,500 for a used one.

The rep we worked with was very pleasant. He was very thorough and he gave me several options. Based on how our stairway is formed, we had to get two straight lifts. He explained the options for the installment plan, for the refurbished and for the buyback. We went with the two straight stairlifts as opposed to the custom curve, which would be much more expensive. The installation went fine. It was a gentleman who was also training another gentleman. It was seamless, and they cleaned up very well behind themselves. They explained how the lifts work, and we tested them, and everything was great. It was a wonderful experience.

I have COPD, and I was having trouble going up the stairs. I purchased a stairlift from Stannah, and a very kind man came and did the work, and he seemed to be very professional. The quality is good, but I feel that it's very expensive for what I have. But when I had a couple of questions on the installation at first, because I didn't understand, they were very good and helpful on the phone with me. The salesman was very nice, but he was clearly a salesman. He had the sales pitch, “If you get it today, we'll give it to you for this price,” that kind of thing, which I didn’t like too much. But they were very professional, and I'm satisfied with the product.

Eric, our installer, was just great. After the install, he took us through all the features and how to use it. It has been a great experience dealing with Stannah. From Rich, our salesperson, to the gals in the showroom (we live in Franklin), to customer service when I had questions, I would give it a A+. The fact that we could go in the showroom in Franklin and that we are dealing with a local company with great reviews, there was no doubt to choose Stannah for our stairlift. We are extremely pleased and glad that we chose Stannah.

We looked at one stairlift company, but it was much more expensive than Stannah. They also felt that because of the way their stairlift was constructed, it might not fit in our staircase. We then went with Stannah and got one of each of their curved and straight stairlifts. We're very happy with the quality. The installers were wonderful guys as well. The only thing is, and it's probably because it's a curved stairlift, I would have liked the gears or the little silver things that stick up covered for dust purposes. But the one going downstairs is covered.

We have plenty of room and the installers were very good when they came up and measured the space. They went over everything with us. When we've had the stairlift for about a month, it wouldn't go all the way to the top by about a couple of inches. It was a mechanical issue and the guy came out right away and fixed it. We had a card to call, so it was fine. I’m very happy with the stairlift. It's great and has made life better. We love it.

Stannah Stairlifts is a good company. They have an excellent price. I was really thinking it was going to be a lot more because I had quotes where they were saying it will cost $10,000. So, 4,000 something was a good price for me. As far as the stairlift, I sit on it and I go up. My bedroom is on the second floor, and I'm confined into the dining room where my bed is, and I wanted very much so to go to my room so the dining room can be a dining room again and we can sit and eat our dinner, instead of sitting on a recliner while eating. I'm confined to a recliner because I had a stroke in 2023.

I was shopping around, and Stannah was very proactive and prompt, and they interacted with me. It was a year-long process. Initially, they quoted some amount, and then because of the tariff, the price went up by almost 2,500. On the internet, the prices are 8,000 and 7,000, so 17,000 was way too much. I wanted the price to go down a little bit more, but that's okay. The stairlift was installed on the 3rd of this month, so it's not even two weeks old. The installation went smoothly, and the team was competent and didn't take more time than they told me initially, so that part was fine. But I did not like the turning-around type of seat, so I will have to call Stannah again and extend it and make it go up to the landing in the right way. It's new now, so it's working, and it looks good. But I would recommend others to shop around because money is also very important.

I'm in California and I coordinated the installation of a stairlift for my parents in Connecticut. I met with the representative from Stannah and he did a fine job. For the installation, their reps were on time and it took them almost exactly how long they said it would take them. They reviewed it with my mother and they seemed pretty thorough. My parents seemed happy with it and I didn’t get any complaints. We got a really nice stairlift, but it was one of the more expensive models and I don't know if the extra money was worth it. Other than that, Stannah's reps were always very responsive, and so far, my mother has been able to use the stairlift with no issues.

I had a stairlift that was functioning very poorly and I had to remove it. I wanted to get a new one and I researched a lot of companies, and the first one I used was Leaf Home Stair Lifts. As I continued to do my research, Stannah was the best and I got the stairlift from them. It’s an interesting chair because it runs on a battery. Electricity charges the battery, and it's operating marvelously. It's everything that they said it was going to be, and it was 2,000 cheaper than Leaf. It also fits into the stairwell. I live in a big house and I'm going to be 85 on my next birthday, so getting up one flight of stairs is becoming a big deal. Without the stairlift, it would be very hard for me to live here. I would strongly recommend Stannah. I haven't had it long enough but right now, it works. It's quiet and reliable, and every time I get in, it goes great. So, I'm fine with it.

My father-in-law and mother-in-law had a need for Stannah's product up in Rhode Island. I told my father-in-law about the company, because I was familiar with them, then we went online and looked at the company. And then we went through a pamphlet that outlined what the product was. The salesman came out quickly and he did a nice job. He presented the product and one little add-on that we had. He was just showing us what it was and he wasn't doing a hard sell. The price was 5,500, which was a reasonable price and the negotiations to make the purchase were relatively quick, so it didn't take a long time to wrap up anything.

The installers went over it with my mom and she was up and running and already using it. It's straightforward to use. My mom likes it a lot. Ours is one of these stairs that go up 10 steps. There's not quite a landing, but very narrow on the left side as the stairlift turns. On one side it would be a very wide stair and it comes into very narrow by the area. It would make a left turn and go up another five steps. The stairlift would hug the right side all the way and would go up further.

I was impressed by the Stannah Stairlift Sales Advisor. Michelle ** was Excellent. Her attention to detail was what stood out for me. Michelle was extremely diligent in taking my Family through the install process. Additionally spent several hours on her first visit to our house. Took the time to explain the install process so my Mom was comfortable. Was also meticulous in her measurements of our curved staircase. Because of Michelle’s diligence & attention to detail, the install went very well. We are pleased with our new stair chair. I highly recommend Michelle **. She was absolutely great to work with.

I came upon Stannah through the internet and as far as getting the lift is concerned, it is for safety purposes. As I was going downstairs, I could feel my left knee giving out. For safety purposes alone, I didn't want to end up at the bottom of the stairs in a heap. So, I got a stairlift. I did my research on it and they appeared to be a quality product.

I checked a few of companies out, and I liked Stannah better. The sales rep was great, and the installer was great as well. I went with a straight stairlift. The curve was too expensive to do a custom stairlift, so I did the straight up to the landing, because after that, there's only a couple of stairs. The stairlift is good and I'm happy with everything. I purchased a previously owned one and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't even be able to know it was refurbished.

I love my Stannah stairlift. I have back problems, so I got it three weeks ago. The guy who fixed it showed me how it goes up the steps and he was great. Joe was his name. I got the model that's straight, and then at the top, it is curved. It's excellent and I would recommend it to others.

I'm 75 and I have heart disease. I also have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I purchased a Stannah stairlift and their customer service rep was very good. But I developed a problem with the housing on the unit where my heel would loosen. It would dislodge it at the top of the stairs and it's pretty complicated. I can't figure out how to get it back together. It happened after it had been installed and the installer was still there. He put it back together, but he didn't show me how to do it and it's not easy. You can't just snap it back on and there's no diagram to show how to do it.

I like the product, and I really like the sales rep. He answered all the questions my wife and I had. He really knew the product compared to a couple of the others that I talked to. The stairlift works fine but the thickness of the rail the chair rides on almost turned me off. Some of the other models were thinner. I use it daily and there's a handrail on both sides, and I didn't want to take out the looks of the handrail. It fits with both handrails, but they had to come out a little bit wider because of that. But overall, I was happy with Stannah and everything that they did, from the salesman to the installer, and how long it took. It took less than a day to have it installed. My MS affects my right leg, so before, I would do stairs in the morning and at night. But now, I can go up and down whenever. So the stairlift changed the quality of my life.

The customer service was excellent and the installation was good. The Stannah stairlift is excellent for my husband. He had three strokes and he's paralyzed on one side of his body. He can get up and down the stairs, but it's very difficult. The stairlift really helps him a lot. We had one slight problem the other day and someone contacted us and told us how to relieve the problem, but it relieved itself.

After reading a bunch of reviews and understanding the different features, I really liked some of the features of Stannah such as the way that the entire rail system is encased. I've seen other stairlifts that are open, which require more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Also, speaking with the field representative that came out was great. He answered a ton of questions. He seemed very sincere. And then, ultimately, the price for what we were getting was great.

It is sufficiently compact and allows standing people to pass on the stairs. Its functionality and performance are as expected. I use the lift about once a day and it has made life easier for us. Just yesterday, we came through the garage with groceries and being able to place them on the stairlift to transport them up to the kitchen was a very nice convenience.

The Stannah reps that I spoke to were great. They were very straightforward. They gave us very good information. They answered a lot of questions. The stairlift is for my husband, and he's doing very good on it so far. It's easy for him to go up and down the study. There has been no malfunction. Everything so far, so good. I like the fact that it turns when you reach the top of the stairs. So it prevents him from falling and it gives him more stability and grip when he can turn the chair. It's very sturdy. Those of us who don't need it can go up and down the stairs with ease. I'm very, very happy with it. My husband is able to go up and down. He's not limited to anything and he's been doing fine with it.

I’m disabled and I was interested on stairlifts, and I found Stannah through recommendations online. The reps came out to my house and gave me an estimate, and they seemed very knowledgeable. They were also connected with a state-funded grant program that reimbursed me 50% of the cost of the stairlift, which helped a lot. The installers arrived around nine in the morning and were finished by about noon. The chair folds up, so the stairs can still be used by someone who doesn’t need the lift. It doesn’t take up all the space, and the staircase is still functional both ways.

Based on my internet-based research, Stannah seemed like the best quality product. So I purchased a stairlift from them. Their representative and installer who came out were both great. I like the remote control feature of my stairlift and so far, it has been excellent. I would recommend it to others.

Tony, the rep from Stannah, was very good. I got a straight stairlift and I wish it’s wider. But that’s not Stannah’s fault. The young man who put in the stairlift was very professional. He was very good and neat. He took his time and made sure it all fitted well. The quality seems to be perfect. It's a little pricey, but it is what it is.

I love the Stannah stairlift and I am happy having it in my house. I bought it because I need it. I’m handicapped and have difficulty walking. I have pets and going up and down three times an evening to feed them and take care of them was getting prohibitive. I’m going to be 80, and I decided to treat myself to a stairlift. I chose Stannah because they had excellent reviews. I made the purchase after Joe, the rep, came. He explained how the stairlift worked. There was no hard sell and he just showed me what they had. You don’t have to push something like that. If you want it, you can see the value. It's a whole unit that you're buying. Joe said they do everything. They manufacture, install, and do any kind of renovation or repair that you might need. You're not going out to a second party for, say, installation and a third party for a repair.

I love my Stannah stairlift. It's well worth the money. Everything is over the top, but this lift is nicely done. It's sturdy. I love the way it works and that there's a beeping going up and down the stairs. It goes around my staircase because of the kind of stairs I have. I thought Stannah had to take down walls or put a million screws in the walls, but it was nothing like that. It looks streamlined. Also, the installers didn't ruin my floors to do it. They put a couple of steps and screws on the floor and we were good to go. I took a picture and sent it to all my friends because it is a nice chair. It's not in your way, and not in your face. Stannah did a good job. All my friends wanna come over. They can climb my stairs and look at it. It's beautiful.

Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional. We installed two stairlifts and both work well. The cost was significantly less than a competitor that we considered. We have had our stairlifts two months and been very happy with them. We encountered one problem (of our own making), but customer service was very good. We spoke with a real person with no wait time and they were able to easily remedy our problem. We highly recommend them.

Stannah provided the service locally. Their installation crew was excellent and very competent. I got the straight stairlift and the quality seems to be great so far. We've got a refurbished one and it's working just fine.
