My bookkeeper contacted and met with several different companies. He had to consider what was going to work best for me and my needs for accessibility to the second floor in the house. It was the normal due diligence someone should do before making a large purchase as such. We ended up going with Stannah and we purchased a curved chairlift for the stairwell because it was better for me. So far, I am very pleased with it. Having never been on a stairlift, except for one occasion, which was an outside stair lift installed by Stannah, I found it very functional.

We like the Stairlift. But, it did break down two months after installation. It took a week to get a repair person, but he was great. However, he had to fix several small problems with the original installation that had led to the lift getting out of alignment.

My Stannah stairlift fits fine into the stairwell. However, because the stairlift that I have does not swivel, it presents a safety issue. I've already discussed that with Stannah. I'm a Stannah customer for over 20 years. My first stairlift had a swivel. It would turn the person around. This current one does not. I would not have had one installed that doesn't swivel. The one that I have requires memory. If someone has dementia, they have a problem with memory. They're not going to do that extra step. They're going to fall down the stairs.

There was an issue with initial install but a resurvey and subsequent replacement/ installation resolved all issues. Very happy with final result as it met all our needs and requirements for clearance and safe access.

Three times the Stannah Stairlifts rep told me the stairlift would be installed. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled, and I had to cancel them because I couldn't get back up the steps. The first one was the 29th of June. And the second date, they told me it was a misunderstanding. They told me they just opened the box the night before, and there was a part missing. Kevin told me when I ordered the thing that they had them in stock, but they didn't order. I don't know what happened there.

My mother took a couple of days to actually figure out all of the steps she's supposed to do to get on and off the Stannah stairlift, but it's working great so far. We're very pleased. Other than that, when we had to change the initial installation date, I called up Stannah and everything was fine with their reps. Then, the tech who came out to install it was excellent. He did it fairly quickly, did all the explanations on what to do, and left all of the correspondence. He was very helpful.

We did an internet search and came upon Stannah Stairlifts. When their rep came out, he was the best salesman that was in for a long time. Then, the installation went really well and everything went as planned. We have no complaints. We got the stairlift that curves, and it is used in the morning and at night. So far, I noticed a could of hitches on it. One is there's a little bit of vibration when the chair is moving up and down. I don't expect it to be vibration free, but there is way more vibration than I anticipated. Also, we failed to follow up on the rebate check that their office was supposed to send to cover for the fact that the seatbelt that we ordered was across the chest, not across the waist.

When my sister tries to get up, she'd be dizzy and fall down. Her legs couldn't hold her up. We got her a Stannah stairlift and it was working okay for her. Once we get her home, we'll keep it going. We give them 5 stars.

My son, Brett, did some research on the internet and found the reviews for Stannah were very good, and we chose to go with it. My wife was in a bad car accident, so she walks with a cane. The stairlift makes it easier to go up and down the stairs and the house.

My wife wanted a stairlift because we were concerned about her falling down the steps, and somebody recommended Stannah. So far, my experience with the team has been all good. The installation process was faster than I expected. The stairlift has given my wife more confidence and the only thing is that the stairlift is slow. I was able to answer three emails when I heard her coming down the steps.

Our experience with Stannah has been good. We’ve had it for almost a month now, and it’s for my mom. She is almost 95 and was struggling with stairs with her hands and her arms, so she agreed to get one. My mom knows someone who, in the past, had a stairlift, and they were local in Hopkinton, and they were very happy with it. They’ve moved from Hopkinton now to Franklin. So, we went with that company first to talk to. It was a great experience.

Stannah gave me a quote when we were considering it, as well as two other companies. My mom is in an older home from the 1800s and she has a curved stairway. The salesperson said the stairlift would have enough clearance and it would be to code. So, I said we were good. The installation team was wonderful. They did what they had to do. I needed to put in an outlet, which I had not realized before, and we got it done. We were told that without the stairlift being plugged in, the battery would run out in about eight days. It ran out just as the electrician was coming in so that was very accurate. I wanted to make sure it was gonna start again and the team that installed it said to give it 24 hours of charge, and it should be good. And it was exactly as they said.

I went with Stannah Stairlifts due to their reputation, above all else, and the sales visit was very professional. They had to come back and take some more pictures, ‘cause the factory got back to the salesman that they needed a couple other scans. Other than that, everything went smoothly. The installation team was highly professional too. I've been a contractor for over 50 years, and they don't fool around. They came in, did their work and all came out fine. They’re very serious about what they do. The stairlift I got turns twice on the way up and I love the quality. One can tell. Having been a contractor a long time, I've seen all kinds of things, including other stairlifts, and this one is absolutely first rate. I would recommend Stannah Stairlifts highly.

I am really pleased with the Stannah stair lift. As someone who has MS, the stair lift is more than necessary for my quality of life! I couldn't imagine life without it. There are days when I could walk down the stairs in the morning, but there aren't many days that I could walk up the flight of stairs at the end of the day. The rep, Gene, was truly a compassionate and concerned man. He went through all of the logistics of having a stair lift. It was custom made for my home and professionally installed. The customer service is responsive to the needs of the client. I would highly recommend Stannah 10/10 times!

I went with Stannah based on my research, the length of time the guys have been in business, the reliability, and then ultimately the cost. I had a very good experience with the sales rep. I got a straight stairlift and Stannah did a good setup. But the installation was not a good experience. The installer ended up removing a banister in a way that damaged the wall. When I asked how that was going to be addressed, his first response was, "Well, that's on you to fix." I told him, "Absolutely not. That should have been discussed with me before you did it, if you thought it was going to damage my property."

Somebody recommended Stannah to me and when I used them, their customer service was excellent. The tech who installed our stairlift was great and I can't say enough about him. Considering the fact that I don't walk that well anymore, I have spinal stenosis, the stairlift helps me get in and out of my bilevel house.

I got a straight up and down stairlift from Stannah. The installer did a perfect job, but it took four hours. The device is terrific, and it's really made it easier for me to get around the house safely. It has no problems. It solved a serious problem in our house, and has worked flawlessly, and I would recommend it to anybody who needs to do something like this. My sister tells me I paid too much, but I don't care. It's the best-looking and most reliable one. We didn't take proposals from other companies. Stannah is top-of-the-line.

The chair has been very reliable. The salesperson was very professional and attentive to our needs. Installation went as well as claimed, and there have been no complaints or problems. Compared to the other companies contacted for quote, Stannah stood out as superior.

I use the Stannah lift every day at least once a day. Sometimes three times a day. It is very trustworthy. It never fails in the each time that I need to use to stand a lift, it is always charged up and ready to go. It is also very sturdy. I weigh 210 pounds and once a week I carry my laundry basket full of laundry with no issues. I also liked the way the bottom 3 feet section folds up out of the way during the day. I had this Stannah lift installed three years ago.

We called Stannah to get a price to see whether we could get a stairlift or a stair elevator. We went with a stairlift because we have a nice, wide staircase. We could have put an elevator in because we also have a space where we could do that. But when looking at the price difference between a stair chair and an elevator that works just as efficiently, we went with a less expensive item. The stairlift works beautifully. The only reason I use it right now is to bring laundry downstairs to the first floor, and then take it back upstairs. But it saves my back and the potential of falling. So, we use it for something that's really not getting our physical bodies up and down the steps. The only complaint I have is that we were supposed to get paperwork for the possibility that you could get a rebate on tax. Also, If we sell the house, that guarantee and everything goes with it, but we'd like to have proof of purchase and the paperwork that goes with it.

Renting the Stannah stair chair was an attractive decision, based on my wife’s necessity. Gene ** is a fabulous representative for Stannah. He is actually the primary reason I made the decision. He did not hard-sell it. His presentation was flawless. A fine gentleman. The installer was also a fine young man, respectful and intelligent. The combination of those two, plus my initial conversation with the receptionist convinced me I made an excellent decision on choosing Stannah. Thank you all.

We had a new Stannah stair lift installed on April 14, 2026. This has been one of the most pleasant experience We ever had from the beginning until end. The entire team beginning with Paul ** as the sales contact, Ryan as the program manager, Greg as the installation tech and the service tech, whose name I failed to record, were all a pleasure to deal with. They were all professional, knowledgeable courteous and patient. They made sure that we fully understood and were comfortable with the answers to our questions. The installation was well planned and executed. The work area was well protected from the construction impact and the space never showed any hint of disruptive activities.

I purchased this stairlift for my spouse because of her mobility issues. It was a Godsend that she has the ability to go upstairs without the threat of falling. The quality of this product is 5 star and easy to operate. Very satisfied.

Our chair lift is great and I told my sister in law Gert ** about it and she got one for her husband, my brother in law Jack and said she told them my name. Not sure how it works but I didn’t get my referring bonus.

My wife began to struggle with the stairs to go to bed in our two story house. She did not want to go to a continuing care facility as we both loved our home by the sea. The Stannah chairlift gave her the feeling of independence and gave me peace of mind. It worked flawlessly from the moment it was installed. We never had any issues. She recently passed away from cancer in the comfort of her own home.

Have medical issues and NEED those chairs. Call for maintenance and was told we had to wait more than 5 days for onsite repair. This week one chair is acting up and are looking for repair, again cannnot be here must wait til Friday, same 2 adults NEED to sit and wait for repairs. This is NOT up to our expectations and not for the money we have paid. We are not happy with this attitude of this company. We have Medical issues, I am on oxygen. Perhaps more service/repair personnel need to be hired.

My salesperson Rich was straightforward, gave me sound advice. I was familiar with Stannah as friend had installed one. Installation scheduled and accomplished quickly. Can't recall installer's name but he did an outstanding job. Very pleased with Stannah experience.

Had to replace a faulty chair in less than two years. Company said they would reach out to me and never did. Lack of technical support on the weekend left my 92 old mother and wheelchair bound husband stranded. Chair would not move. Company said they would reach out to me and never did. Paid $4000 for a chair to stop working after 2 years and the company seemed indifferent. These chairs are life and death for many people and the company needs to understand that when they stop working, it is critical. They contracted with Bedco Mobility after a year to service and we were left stranded.

My wife needed a stair lift. I searched online and then we had Stannah come do their presentation. It was pretty easy. When they did the installation, they put it on the top of the stairs slowly. They put it together and then they brought it down. They walked us through it. It was really good. They did a good job. It was a little expensive. But I’m happy with the price.

I looked on the internet and I saw that ConsumerAffairs recommended Stannah Stairlifts. So, I made an appointment to talk to them. We have two flights of stairs going up, so the stairlift that we got goes straight up, makes a curve at the bottom, and goes around the newel post. Then it goes up the stairs, makes a curve around the landing, and curves to go up the second half of the staircase. And then it curves at the top, so that when my wife gets off it, she's not facing the stairs, but facing the hallway and can therefore be safer.

I would highly recommend Stannah Stairlifts. They had good reviews on the internet. They were not the cheapest, but they were worth the shot. The have a high-quality product and were good at communicating timelines and checking in. Their reps walked us through the options and were courteous and professional. It was quick and painless. We got a quote on the spot, and had a four-week lead time, and we were happy with that. The installers walked us through everything. They were very helpful. We're happy with the whole process. My father-in-law says the stairlift is great.

My son needed a stairlift. We got the curved model from Stannah because our stairs were curved. The installation was good. They got in and out in about four hours. It was a great experience.

I had a pain in my right knee that was always manifesting itself when I walk up and down the stairs. It was quite painful. So, I decided that the best thing to do would be to put in a stairlift. I looked at Stannah, who was well-known. I looked at Acorn and another one. Stannah was clearly the best stairlift there was. My stairlift has been wonderful. I ride up and down the stairs. I have a little cane in my knees. The only thing that really needs to improve is put on a cupholder.

My husband and I couldn't walk good, and I needed the stairlift. I'm 87 years old now. We took three estimates, and Stannah Stairlifts was the best we got. The stairlift functions perfectly. I do not have to walk up those steps. I couldn't get to my bedroom. I can go upstairs again. Consider Stannah Stairlifts as the first one.

I got a lumbar spine problem, and I could barely walk. I had to have a stairlift going to the basement. Stannah Stairlifts was strongly recommended by the dock company over in the west side of New Hampshire and I went with them. The price is reasonable and my experience with the sales rep was perfect. There was one guy for the installation, and he was great as well. He demonstrated the buttons, levers, and all those parts. I went with a straight stairlift, but it's a little tight on my knees ‘cause the stairway is fairly narrow. The gal who sold it to us said that it would work, and it does, but I just got to make sure that my knees don't get hung up on the handrail. The seat is a little tight, but that's because of the narrow stairway. But I could fit in it, and it works, and that's all that matters.

Tony found the right stairlift for our needs. The installers came out within a week to do the installation. Josh and Matt did a wonderful job on the installation and explaining everything to us as they did it. They showed us how to use it and answered all our questions. They were VERY professional, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a stairlift, this is your company.

My wife has been going downhill lately, so she needed some help getting up and down the stairs, because our bedrooms are on the second floor. So, we got a couple of prices and spoke to a couple of salespeople and a couple of different companies. By comparison, we chose Stannah. We're very happy. It’s not pleasant to have that. It is kind of in the way, and it is kind of ugly. But the alternative is a cripple person who can't use her house, so it's worth having it. It’s pretty simple and reliable, so far. It works well. Now, she can use the upstairs with a lot less effort.

The quality of the Stannah stairlift is very good. But their buyback policy, for one, is not great. But it was something that, at least, leaves a little bit of the pain of getting rid of it. But also, it was kind of a quick decision, too, so I didn't do a lot of research. But I like their system. Their salespeople were very straightforward. The look of the system was nice and did what we needed it to do. It also fits fine in our stairwell. I personally really like it. However, I find it a little complicated for my mother at her age, but it's because it has a midway stop. There's really no way around that. I am very happy with the product myself. They also have many different options with the chair being used and things like that, and that helps alleviate some of the cost. I found the cost reasonable for what it is.

My wife needed to go up and down the stairs in our house. And it was getting more and more difficult for her to go up and down to the point where it was really painful. And either we had to abandon one level for her, or we had to get a stairlift that would make it possible for her to use that. Everybody we've talked to who knew anything about stairlifts said Stannah is the stairlift to get. So far, it's worked very well. But if anything is frustrating, it's how slow it goes. Especially when it's being called up and down and not being used. But it's safe, and it's easy to use. It gives my wife access to a floor she couldn't get to in our home. It's wonderful. It does take up some room, though. But it's manageable. It was expensive. But it was worth it for the benefit that we got.
