Stannah Stairlifts Reviews

I would recommend to anyone purchasing a Stannah stair lift. They have a great reputation. I liked everything about them. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful, and worked hard to get the stairlift put in as soon as possible. We're very pleased.

The stairlift is a nice unit. The quality seems well. The guy that installed it was very friendly. He answered any questions we had.

We went and had appointments with three different people with different products. Although Stannah Stairlifts was the more expensive one, it had options that were better than the other ones that were offered by competing companies. For example, and most importantly, the seatbelt option. The seat was a bit wider. Also, it seemed like it's inconsequential, except that it's a cover for the footings that attached to the floor. Without that, if I were to accidentally step on it, I would step on bolts, nuts and screws. I didn't like that. But it was a superior product.

I used Stannah Stairlifts because we used them before with my mom 10 years ago. I was familiar with what they do, so it didn't take a lot. It was concise and to the point. The tech was in and out in 2.5 hours. Showed us how to do everything. It was very easy. My dad likes the stairlift. It has made him more independent.

The sales rep who came over was very thorough and I didn't have any questions when he was done. Also, the installers were very good. I've had a few problems with the stairlift but they're taking care of them.

I did a lot of research, and I found out that Stannah is highly recommended by Consumer Reports. There was Acorn but when I read about them, I wasn't very thrilled. When I spoke to the gentleman with Stannah who was trying to come here to give me an estimate, he was very nice, knowledgeable, and honest. He did not pressure me, was sincere with what he was saying and gave me what I needed. I got a straight stairlift because there's a tiny landing that it twirled around the chair. There's also a railing for two steps. The installer, Carl, was very nice as well. He could have done this stuff in his sleep. He knew what he was doing, was very neat, didn't make any mess, and told me exactly what he was doing. When I called about the key, he explained everything to me. They also told me that I could save some of the battery if I let it blink.

I had done my research prior, so I had a feeling that I knew what a straight stair and curved was, and an idea of what the Stannah Stairlifts rep would say. It was as I predicted. That one level of stairs would be a straight lift, and if it would curve around, it would require something more complicated. So, it was exactly what I expected. The straight one took 2.5 hours to install. It wasn't that big of a deal, because the straight lifts, one for the basement and the other is from the first floor but there's a smaller sub level so it's not going upstairs to the bedroom. So the straight lifts were smooth. The curve probably took a bit longer.

I went online and some marketing site match said, “Stannah matched your needs a little better.” So, I gave them first shot, and I was impressed with the mechanics of the stairlft, especially the way the automatic end drop pulls out of the way and drops back into the way. And I had made up my mind. I had a meeting with Acorn, but I was more impressed with Stannah Stairlifts. So, even if they were a little more expensive, it has so far proven to be a good decision. From the initial contact on the phone, to the appointment, to the sales rep, the installation, it was done as promised in a predictable amount of time.

I was very impressed with the sales guy at Stannah. He had a very nice presentation. He was very confident and intelligently interactive. He listened as well as spoke. He painted a very nice picture of why this was a good one to buy. I didn't look any further. The installation was a one-day operation, and it was very well done. The stairlift takes up some room on the stairs, which were not too wide to begin with. It feels a little tight going up and down the stairs if you aren't using it. But it performs an important service and it's worth the cost. I got it for my wife and I haven't quite persuaded her to try it out. But she will. I've been using it mostly to get heavy things up the stairs because I used to be able to carry them up.

The installers took about three to four hours to do the work. The stairlift has good quality. Overall, it was a good experience.

We had a good visit with the sales rep. I had two stairways and Stannah couldn't go around it so they had me put two chairs in there. I watched the installers do their work and they were very efficient. The chairlifts are doing very good. It's very good quality.

The stairlift is working out fine. There was a slight issue with the ends coming off but I just attached them back, and it got fixed. Overall, the experience has been good.

The reps were straightforward and answered all my questions. I also went out and checked on Stannah's background and it was all positive. Stannah had a good reputation. The installers were good. They knew their business and they did a good job. They did it quickly. It was a positive experience. The chairlift is not as fast as I would like. But then again, I do have to slow down going around corners. So far, everything's been fine. I've already talked to a couple of people who asked and I suggested that Stannah was a good one to go to.

My dad’s 97 and he’s having mobility problems, so we got a chair lift. Initially, I tried Acorn, and their reviews were really terrible. I didn't think the salesman spent enough time with us explaining things. So, then I called Stannah, and that's the one we chose. We liked their salesman, Jamie, and I liked that they had a showroom that we could go in and see the product. My experience with them has been great.

I love Stannah. I got the stairlift for my mother. I moved her in and she didn't wanna stay on my first floor. I bought one of the refurbished ones, and the sales rep was lovely and nice. The installer was quiet and nice too. I thought it was gonna be noisy and take all day and it didn't. I never even knew he was there. I got the straight stairlift, and the installer showed us how to use it.

I'm very happy with the chair lift. It's straight, easy to get in and out of, and the quality is very good. I am happy with everything. I had Stannah a couple of years ago as well.

I've seen the other companies and they have bad reviews but I haven't seen any on Stannah. We chose them and everything was very pleasant. The people who came first were very nice and the one who installed was wonderful too. The stairlift has been wonderful so far.

The experience with Stannah was very pleasant from start to finish. We liked the sales rep and trusted his opinion. We had to change the time, and he was flexible. He was very comforting and cooperative. Also, their entire package was preferable over someone else and the installation team was perfect. We had a technician over the house the other day because there was a slight wamble as you got halfway through. He checked it and made sure that everything was fine. That's the way it had to be installed. We purchased a used one and it's in perfect condition. Nothing is scratched or dented. It looks brand new so we're satisfied in that respect. It was a little bit expensive though.

I got the full Monty on a new Stannah stairlift. The rep was awesome. Also, the installer was in and out of here in less than two hours and did a swell job. He was a young and nice kid. We love the stairlift. We show it off to everybody that comes here.

Stannah Stairlifts was very professional. They got it done right away. The installation team was very good. I was very happy about them. I thought the stairlift would be cheaper. But it helps my mother, so it is what it is.

The sales rep and the installer were great. When the installer came out, he explained what he was gonna do, then he started to attach the rail, and then he put the chair on. When he was finished, he let us look at it and he walked us through and made each of us ride it up and down to make sure we knew what we were doing. He was very friendly and cooperative.

The sales rep and the installer were great. My mother needed the stairlift. One of my neighbors had a Stannah and it fit in their house, so we knew it would fit in my mother's house.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have always used Stannah and they were satisfied. That was the best recommendation. The sales rep, Moe, was very good. He wasn't a high-pressure guy. The installers were very good as well. They tested everything. They wanted to be sure I was happy, and I am. Stannah is very good. When I needed help in the beginning, they were on the phone to help me. People learn. I'm 86, and I'll be 87 on September 3. They had somebody who could answer the questions. Stannah is a little more expensive, but people only get what they pay for and this works fine. It's a lifetime warranty, and why would someone wanna get involved where you they fight with people? I don't need that.

The sales rep and I discussed what the chair could be and the installation of it. The price is double what I would have paid when I checked out another company a few years before, but I needed the stairlift. I got the straight one, then one person came to install it and it took a couple of hours. Now, I'm using the stairlift, and I like it. At night, when I have to go upstairs to bed, I'm not out of breath because I ride it. I'm satisfied right now.

Originally, we were interested in Stannah because they offered both refurbished stairlifts as well as new ones and we weren't sure which was best. There was also a local Stannah office and when we called the company, the sales rep was very friendly and responded right away. They promptly scheduled the visit and made it easy to move forward. Michelle presented directly to my parents and they were very impressed with the stairlift. Michelle gave them good advice. It's hard to sell my parents things so she must have done a great job. In the end, we bought the stairlift and so far, so good. The installation process went smoothly and my parents have been able to use it without incident. We've had a good experience and I would recommend that others consider Stannah if selecting a vendor for a stairlift.

When I contacted Stannah Stairlifts, they were able to send somebody out and do an in-home consultation. They were able to come within a short period of time. The gentleman who came was knowledgeable and was able to inspect the stairs, make some suggestions on which would be the appropriate stairlift, and run through all the options with us. Well-prepared and knowledgeable about the product.

We inquired about a stairlift earlier with someone else and they were not as pleasant as the salesman from Stannah. He explained everything in detail, like what we'd get, where it would be, and how it would be installed. He brought us over to the steps and showed us everything that would happen if we bought from him. We were telling him the price was a little higher than we wanted, then he said they have reconditioned units and that they could work with us with that and that it would bring the cost down under what we wanted to do with the equipment that we wanted. This gentleman also sent us a brochure, unlike the other guy who didn't. He just told us about the product and its price. When we told him it was over our budget and asked if there was any way around it, he said there was no way out. So, we decided to go with Stannah.

The sales rep told us about the stairlift and we went over what the procedure was. I chose Stannah over other products based on the dependability. We got the straight indoor stairlift and the installer was very polite.

We had a salesman come out and introduce us to the product line. He was very friendly and engaging. He educated us through a brochure on the various packages, the basic model versus the upgraded model. We were able to make the selection of the proper stairlift that we needed, and he was able to write up the invoice and work order. It was very straightforward. They told us it would be about two weeks before someone could come out and install, which they did. We had someone call us a few days before the installation to say that someone was coming out, and they provided us with his name. He came out early that Saturday morning with all the parts and started to go right to work. He did a good job of stapling all the wire hookup to get everything set up for the two stairlifts. It took him two to three hours and once he was done, he did a demonstration to show my husband how to work it.

The sales rep was a very nice guy, and he was professional. My husband had him come in about a year ago and we didn't make up our minds till now. I have knee issues, and I was going up and down on my butt before. The stair lift is convenient, and it has helped me a great deal. It takes up a lot of room for people who don't use it, but that's the way our house is configured. One day, I stopped it halfway, and it hesitated to continue, but it worked. My only thing is it has a bar at the bottom, and we have a cat. So, I always have to worry that it doesn't hit him ‘cause the bar extends to the bottom extension rail.

Installation was done very well, and the stairlift works really well. The guy showed us how to do it and we're very happy with it. Stannah more than met our needs, and we've already recommended them to friends.

Stannah is great and my mother loves the stairlift that he had installed. It works perfectly and she really couldn't live without it. She knows how to do use it even though her memory is not quite as good. Without it, she wouldn't be able to maintain her lifestyle. But with it, she's able to live independently at a three-story house. Also, there are five stairs going from the kitchen into the garage and she exits the house through that way. She didn't have to do it that often so, she was able to negotiate that. But it was becoming harder and harder. It would take her a long time, about 10 minutes, to go down five stairs. So, we got a new stairlift for that and it works just as well as the first one.

I called somebody and arranged for a representative from Stannah Stairlifts to come to my house. He was very good and informative. We decided to get the installation right away. It was very quick. It took a couple of weeks. The installers were very professional. Also, the stairlifts fit well. They called them straight. Two stairways are being served, and they work well. They seem to be high quality so far. They save wear on the knees.

I had a very good experience with the Stannah Stairlift rep. Very knowledgeable. The installer was here for four hours. It was one person doing all the work. He went out, got some parts and put them on. He ran it up and down and told me what will happen when you do this or when you do that. The stairlift is doing its job. It's helped me greatly that I don't have to crawl up the stairs every night.

I purchased a curved Stannah stairlift and the installers were terrific. I love it. The quality is good so far. Their reps were also very nice.

The Stannah rep knew what he was talking about. No pressure salesman and down to earth. He was somebody I could talk to and it worked out very well. The stairlift fits well because I didn't have to move my railing that was against the wall and that's where the chair is. It's tucked over there even though the railing is on the stairs itself and the handrail is on the same side as the chairlift, you can go up and down the stairs with no problem of bumping into the railing. They fixed it up. There's still plenty of room to walk downstairs without tripping.

The sales rep from Stannah, Rich, was a nice guy. He came to the house to take some measurements and give us some guidance on making a decision on our selection for what version of the stairlift we wanted. He was very helpful. We got a straight stairlift and it’s good. Our stairs are tight and it’s functional. It works as described. The installers did a good job and cleaned up any mess they made. The stairlift was for my parents who needed it as they were getting older. It takes a little bit off my mind.

Stannah had better reviews and it was positive dealing with the rep. I wish the stairlift was smaller but it’s good. My mom can walk up and down the stairs. The stairlift is very helpful and essential.

We live upstairs, so I needed something. The sales visit with Stannah was very nice. Installation was fine. It was done within less than two hours. The features of our stairlift are great. They've allowed my husband to be a little more mobile.

While giving my review of the installation, which was excellent, I neglected to give high praise to Will. He did the measurements for the placement of the railing. He was professional and friendly. He started the process on a good note.

I first did the web research and then I called Stannah. The reps were very helpful, competent and kind on the phone. They sent out an estimator who would tell me what it was gonna cost and what kind of lift we needed. Then, they sent out the installation guy. They provided manuals so it was a very well-organized, thorough process. I had the Stannah stairlift installed at the end of July and I use it multiple times daily. I broke my leg and I live in a two-story house and everything’s upstairs. I started with a wheelchair then crutches, and then a cane. But even then, they wouldn't let me climb the stairs for a while. So, my wife and I decided to put in a Stannah stairlift that would allow me to get to the bedroom and the shower, sleep in my bed and take a shower in my own shower.

My cousin's 89 years old and he has 14 stairs going straight up to his condo. He's been there for over 20 years and he doesn't want to move. We had called three other stairlift places and one company couldn't do the install one for us because the stairs weren't wide enough. Another company didn't give a quote and another one came out but decided they couldn't do it. Then, while my cousin was playing casino on his computer, he saw Stannah and called me. I had to find the number that he was looking at and I called them. We also got a referral from the electrician who was doing an outlet at my cousin's friend's place. We asked him if he could come and look at the outlet for us for the stairlift. And he told us to call the same people and talk to the same salesperson who was coming out to me. So, it was good.

The sales rep and the installer were both very nice folks. We enjoy our Stannah stairlift. It's fun and convenient and my wife and I both use it. Everything works fine. It goes too slow however and I wanted to get a performance model but the salesman, Craig, said I couldn't have one. I am wondering if I get an upgrade to a four-barrel carburetor. We should have two gears, one for old people and one for me.

Stannah was a recommendation from one of my neighbors who had put it in. They were extremely pleased and they happened to have the unit in their home, so I was able to see it in operation. I called Stannah and the salesperson was very helpful and on top of things. He was very thorough and answered any questions. The installer was great. He gave me a good demonstration of how to operate the stairlift and everything was cleaned up when he left. The stairlift is doing the job. I'm very pleased with Stannah and I'd recommend them.

The Stannah rep who came to our home was nice. We were gonna give him a call because my husband felt a little bump in the stair lift and see if that's normal or if we need to get it checked. But other than that, it's been working great. It’s been a big help. We've told the visiting nurses if anybody needs one, that they should call the gentleman who came here.

I have trouble with my knees and I had blocks of wood on the stairs so that I could go up half a step at a time, which worked very well, but the occupational therapist came in and recommended that I get a stairlift. Everything went really well during the sales visit with Stannah. The rep was very informative and knowledgeable. Also, the installers were very good.

I'm a building inspector by trade and I've seen a few of Stannah stairlifts installed on jobs and I liked what I saw. I contacted Stannah and met with the rep and he was wonderful. He explained everything that I needed to get done and it was really nice. They ordered it and we set up a delivery time. Once the stairlift was delivered, the installers said they were coming at 8 o'clock in the morning. They got here about five minutes to 8:00 and they assembled the material out in the garage and were very neat. They swept up after everything they did. It was like a puzzle and they put it together piece by piece. They marked it all out first, did the bolting, installed, and did the wiring and all the testing. At the end of the day, it worked fine and they gave us a lesson on it. I like the functionality and the performance of the stairlift. It's for my parents and they're getting used to it. It helps my mother drastically who can't even walk upstairs.

I was in the hospital for four days. Everybody recommended I do something because I have to use my stairs. I had bought a Stannah a number of years ago and I never used it, but I saw the quality of it. I sold it. I thought they were good stairlift, so that was why I bought the one I did. The Stannah rep came out and told me what it was gonna cost. Originally, I was gonna buy the gadget that goes on the bottom, so it doesn't have a piece sticking out. Then I changed my mind, and I didn't get that. That reduced the cost somewhat. I gather she measured it because when they came and installed it, they knew the length of the track and then everything fit perfectly. The people that installed it did a good job. The stairlift works fine. It minimizes the chance of falling down the stairs. I just came back from a trip and when I packed my suitcase, I put it in my lap when I rode the stairlift down. That made it a lot easier to get my suitcase up and down the stairs.

I did an online search and I liked Stannah’s seven-day return policy. I looked at a close competitor and they said nobody does that. I said Stannah does and asked if they could offer me that guarantee and they said no. So I went with Stannah, even though it was more expensive. The sales rep was very nice, thorough and had her stuff together. She gave me a little discount and everything she told us was true. I got the straight stairlift and it fits perfectly. It was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The installer was wonderful. He'd been working for Stannah for many years and knew exactly what he was doing. It took probably an hour and a half and it’s quality built. It feels great.

We love the rep from Stannah. The sales visit was wonderful. I appreciate that she came here a year ago and I kept all of her information. Then, when we were ready to get the chair, I called her. She called me back promptly and she came over again. She had to measure a couple of times. We had an old chair on the stairs that the motor went out. So, the first time, the old chair was on the stairs, and they told her that we needed to remove that old chair. Then she needed to come back and re-measure, which she did. She was very pleasant and she gets back to me whenever I call her about anything. She's a very nice person.

I'm old and falling apart. Stannah is a reputable firm and when their rep came out, he was very interesting and knowledgeable. He explained the whole operation of the chair, the cost, and everything else. The installation was professionally done by two professionals. They knew their business, they were nice, and they left no mess at all. I'd recommend Stannah to my friends.

We moved into a new house and my laundry is in the basement. I don't walk that well and it was not accessible to me. When Stannah's sales rep came out, she was fabulous and not pushy in any way. I explained to her what I could afford and what we were looking for. Then she took care of everything. We had no desire to even look at anywhere else because she explained everything so well to us and their stairlift was what we were looking for. The installer was fabulous, too. He had it done in no time, explained every detail to us, and had us try it. Our experience couldn't be any better and we love the stairlift. It fits our needs and it's so easy to use. We have no complaints at all. I'm supposed to start making monthly payments to Stannah but I haven't received the bill yet. I called them about it, but they said it hadn't been a month yet. We put so much down then we were going to finance the rest of it over not that many months.

We wanted to install a stairlift and I contacted Stannah. The rep was very good, kind and knowledgeable. They did everything they were supposed to do and we're happy, so that's good enough. Stannah’s equipment is not the least expensive on the market but we buy premium products. I find that to be the best value and we never buy anything that isn't the best. My experience with Stannah was very good.

John, my partner, is 91 and we live in a three-story house, so he needed help for going up and down the stairs. Stannah's sales rep was very good and nice. Whatever he promised was exactly what we got and he was very attentive to everything. Our main staircase is a very important part of our entry hall, architecturally, and we were worried that the stairlift would really interfere with the aesthetics. But it turned out to be much less of an impact than we expected. We're satisfied and the chairlift has worked really well for John.

My mom has trouble going up and down the stairs. I did a comparison of different companies and the prices were very similar. But I liked that with Stannah, I was not going through a third-party dealer. I was dealing with Stannah directly and that made the big difference for me. The sales rep was competent. She seemed to know the product. So she was helpful. We purchased the curved stairlift and it goes all the way around the stairwell. But it hasn't been installed yet. I was told that it's coming into the local office today or tomorrow, and they have to get a crew to install it. So, that's been about four weeks. If it actually arrives, it'll be four weeks to get it fabricated and delivered locally. I don't know how long it takes to get a crew out to the house to install it.

The rep explained everything. He showed us the brochures and gave us a quote. He showed us how the stairlift worked. He was really good. The installation was very lengthy. It took all day, but it's perfect. The installer explained everything to us. It's very easy to operate. The quality is excellent. It's made it much easier for my husband to manage the stairs.

We have a sister-in-law that had failing health problems and she was having extreme problems trying to get up the steps, so that led us to look around for a stairlift company and a friend of mine recommended Stannah. I called them up and the gentleman that I talked to was very pleasant on the phone. Then they came out and gave us an estimate. There was no pressure. We looked around a few other places, and we decided we would call Stannah. The sales rep was very professional. My son was there when he came and gave a complete A to Z. He didn't rush us. He answered all the questions and was very pleasant. My sister-in-law was getting great pleasure out of the stairlift, so everybody is happy. It impacts my wife's life a lot because she takes care of her and it's a lot of physical work. But now, with that lift, it has made her job a lot easier. So, all the way around, it's been a positive impact.

I had an awesome experience with Kevin, the salesperson. Stannah is a family-owned business and they're very personable. They aim to please. They are very good people. The day they said they were coming out, they came out. They were on time. The installation didn't take them a long time. They didn't complete it and they let us know. There was another piece in there and in about another week, we're looking for them to come and complete it.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable, nice and easy to work with. He was very good. The mechanic who did the installation was quick, fast and quiet. The week my husband got to use the Stannah stairlift for a week and a half, it was great.

My experience with their rep was very good. The salesperson was very thorough and he provided visuals and a video. He answered all questions. I found Stannah to be very good. They were easy to work with. They were very good about the appointments and they pushed their appointment up. I was absolutely pleased with them, overall. Their price was good, too. They measured and fitted the stairlift properly. The stairlift works fine. It fits in our home. They took an account for the landing that we have. It was installed in one day. They were able to do it early as well. The stairlift has eliminated the threats of my parents falling down the stairs, which I've already witnessed.

The Stannah stairlift rep explained the various parts and various operations of the stairlift. I have Parkinson's and all the period, I've been falling a lot. Before I have a drastic fall, I thought of getting a chair lift. I purchased a curved one from Stannah and it's all right. There's enough room for another person to pass by.

Stannah is very competitively priced and they have very good customer service. The salesman and the installer were very good. The rep came to the house, made it up, and gave me an on-site estimate with no problems. The installation went well, too. The installer came here at 11:00 and we were all finished up by 4:00 in the afternoon. It was only one person, one of the girls. She's been doing it for four years.

The sales rep from Stannah came out, did some measurements, sat down with us and walked through the options. The installation team was great. We got a straight stairlift. It has great quality, but we had to have it removed because it took up too much space on our stairs.

I like that Stannah is more local than Acorn. The salesperson who came out answered all my questions and did a really good job. The installer seemed to know what he was doing and was very efficient. He answered any questions I had. The stairlift has as excellent quality.

I contacted Stannah and another company and the other one wanted a couple thousand more, but they expected me to go to the state and get a rebate and I didn't qualify for it. I went with Stannah. The person who came out and did the presentation was a nice guy. The installation went fine. The installer was a very good guy, knew what he was doing, and was in and out in no time.

The quality of the stairlift is very good and the installation was very easy. It was one gentleman that came and he was very good at what he was doing. He had all the parts and took his time. It went well. What I don't like is I have to accept six months rental and that's $3,200. It's 500 and something bucks a month which is a little high. But if I break it down to each day, it's worth it.

I'm an occupational therapist and the stair climber we got from Stannah is for my dad who is 91. I work in acute rehab and one of my patients was telling me they had such a great experience with Stannah that we decided to give them a try. Working with them was really easy. It seemed like when I had done my research, the price was about in the same ballpark as all the others. But I liked that Stannah also offered used products. So they had options for pricing.

I was having some trouble breathing and climbing the stairs wasn't helping. A friend of my wife has a Stannah stairlift and she really liked them. We ended up purchasing a straight stairlift from them and it fits great in our home. During the installation, the installer went about his business and we didn't have a lot of interaction. He knew what he was doing, so it went quite well. But I would recommend to Stannah that the lower footrest be turnable when the seat turns at the bottom or top of the stairs. But that is the only thing that isn't the way I would have done it and I've been engineering that.

My sales experience with Stannah was wonderful. The installers were also very nice. I like that the stairlift is reliable.

The Stannah stairlift has been great. A guy came, took the old one and he put in a new one very efficiently. The person was great. He came when he was supposed to. The stairlift works. However, with my old one, when it got upstairs, you could move it around the back without using the remote. With this, you always have to use the remote.

When I needed a stairlift for my father, Stannah was recommended by my friend. The sales guy came over and measured then we talked about the price. However, they delivered a stairlift with a wrong side. They were gonna connect it to the right side and I needed the one to the left side. I had to call the salesperson and told him it was not the correct one. They had to wait another week, but they changed it to the correct side. I like that the stairlift is retractable so it's not sticking out. My father's using it everyday so it's been very helpful. It's expensive though.

I got a Stannah for my husband. It was a rental unit. It came not so clean. The padding on the floor thing was dirty. But it worked, it operated, and it was put on a truck. My brother-in-law had to install an extra barrier so that no one could trip over that. That was a requirement before they installed. Other than that, it's fine for the purpose.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. Stannah Stairlifts responded to all my calls and questions, and were very professional and polite. They didn't push me. They just explained their product. I was very pleased with them. And when the gentleman came to put the stairlift in, he was very nice, very professional, and clean because there was drilling involved to get the mechanism on the walls. He worked, got it done, had me try the stairlift out before he left, instructed me on how to work it. If I tested him with questions, he was very patient and answered all of them. I was very pleased with him. I had a little issue with the stairlift. I spoke to a young man. I explained what was going on, he told me exactly what to do, and my chair worked again. I'm very happy with it.

We needed to buy a stairlift because my mom became ill and could no longer use the stairs. We chose Stannah because I looked on ConsumerAffairs for well-rated stairlift companies and Stannah was the best-rated. The person who came was very helpful and friendly. She measured our stairs and talked to us about our options. It was a great experience overall.

The salesman of Stannah was very good. The installation was also very good and the quality of the stairlift is excellent. I like that I can now bring my groceries from my garage up to the kitchen.

We love our Stannah stairlift. My husband checked them out thoroughly and they were the most expensive, but they sounded like the best. Our experience with the sales was good. The installation was perfect. The quality of the stairlift is excellent. It was well worth it. We bought it originally because he was having trouble with his knees. But since then, I cannot walk any longer because of the problem with my legs. It's really paid off well.

We had to do changes to the house and get the first stairlift in. Unfortunately, Stannah forgot to tell us that they would buy the old one back from us. We ended up destroying it then they said they don't take it back. That was a disappointment. However, we liked the stairlift so much that we bought another one for this new house. The salesperson who sold us the first one was our salesperson again. They were very thorough.

I had a couple of people out to give quotes and liked the sales rep with Stannah. I also like a couple of features on the stairlift. It has an extendable rail and it's up for six steps. My mom has a little issue with it, making sure it clicks into place but that's user learning curve. However, it takes up more space in my hallway. It's hard for my husband and I to get around it. That should have been discussed with us prior to the installation. No one's ever called me about it as well.

I had someone else in the house but didn't have the answers. The other stairlift that I looked at was $2,000 cheaper but when the Stannah salesman came in and showed me the shortfalls and what the safety factors with the Stannah stairlift were, my wife and I went with them. The installation was fantastic. They explained everything and were neat. However, I use a cane and the stairlift a little bit tricky with the cane. I wish there was something to place a cane, a device or a cup. I also wish my stairwell was a bit wider. They put in a chrome rail stairlift up. They normally use bronze, and I pointed out to them that they put in bronze. They quickly came down and said, "You keep this with the bronze. When I get the silver in, I will replace it." That was great.

They originally put a stairlift in then had them taken out. Now, we decided that they need one. My uncle is 99 and he doesn't think that he needs it but it would be wonderful if they used it because they wouldn't have to walk up a steep flight of stairs. I use it when I'm there and it works very well. We're very happy with the Stannah stairlift.

I broke my leg severely and on six months of recovery, and I live on the second floor. I could not get up and down my steps. I’m on no weight bearing for a minimum of four months and it's gonna be a long process. Also, my husband has MS, so we knew eventually we would need a stairlift. Stannah has been in the industry of lifts for many years. They manufacture, install, service and warranty them, which stood out to me over anyone else because it's a one-shop deal that I don't have to worry about if something breaks. I just call them. The sales guy that I talked to was amazing. He helped me with getting moved up a little bit faster with the schedule because I was literally trapped in my home. He explained everything in detail. The person who was supposed to call me to do the scheduling had a family emergency for three days, so the sales guy kept me informed, calling me even on a Saturday.

Stannah was a great company, but the lift was in and out in less than a week. My good friend got to use it once and it made it so he can get up to his bedroom, so it was a big impact. Unfortunately, he passed away.

I liked the representative that came out from Stannah Stairlifts. But I did not care for the price. It was a little higher than some of the other ones. But the features might have been better. I had an issue where it froze up. It took me a few days to get anybody to acknowledge that I called and they would come out to do anything.

I coordinated getting a stairlift for my elderly neighbor. Stannah was local and they were extremely responsive. They were the first ones to come down and give us an estimate. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them on every level. They were professional, friendly, and so timely. I called a couple of companies and Stannah Stairlifts got back to us quickly. I like that they said they were based out of Massachusetts and I was in Massachusetts. Some of the other companies that I called weren't in Massachusetts. Also, I liked how the lady was on the phone. The installation was quick. I didn't think they would come out that fast, but they did. It was one person. He was there at least a good half-day. There was no mess. I thought they would have to cut up a bit of our rug or the drywall, but we could not see anything. It's just the machine and the track. It was awesome.

My experience with Stannah has been very good. The representative who visited me came by many times to make accurate measurements and get installation information. I'm quite happy with the stairlift.

We are very happy with our chair. We haven't had any problems with it at all. It's working great for my husband and I. We're both in our seventies, and it's very handy. We live in a two-level place. It's very handy if we have to take laundry up and down the downstairs. It's made a tremendous change in my husband's life. He fell down the stairs several years ago and he ruptured the quad tendon in his knee. It didn't heal properly, so he's off-balance, he has trouble walking and he can't put a lot of weight on that leg all the time. So, it's hard for him to go up and down the stairs. So, the Stannah made a huge difference in his life. It's been a nice convenience for me.

A friend of mine is handicapped and she cannot take the 13 steps up to the house. We decided she has to get a chairlift and I checked it out on the internet. I found Stannah and I contacted the sales representative. He was receptive. He said they can put it in in one week and I couldn't believe it. So I decided I was gonna go with him, and luckily so. I got everything I wanted right away. To get up to the house, we can use the front door and another way is a stairway inside the garage up to the kitchen, which was more protected. So that was a good idea. The two mechanics who came and put it in were totally professional and got it done in three hours. Everybody was excited about the stairlift and it worked well. It’s very good. It's a little learning curve but it’s nothing. Though if you get an older person, it gets harder to learn.

I like Stannah's company history. They seem solid. The installation went smoothly. They got it in there in a day. The stairlift is a good product and it does its job. I'm not terrified my dad's gonna fall down the stairs and break his hip. It's given him a lot more mobility. It needs a little adjustment at the top, but that's okay. Their indoor models have a powered rotate, which is awesome, and it would be nice to have it on their outdoor model. You have to rotate the chair at the top to get in in front of it. That requires a lot of dexterity. I'm only 40 but at 91, it's a little harder. Although my dad's gotten used to it and he's doing better with that, that part is a little challenging. The other thing is if he leaves the chair rotated out to get back in it at the top, it locks out the call boxes on the bottom and top. You can't bring it back down.

The rep who did the presentation was very personable and right to the point. He told us exactly what product Stannah has, what the product does and what the cost would be. The stairlift was exactly what we were looking for and it was a better deal with Stannah. The gentleman who installed it was great. He was a young man and knew his business very well. He told us what he was doing, how he was doing it and what to expect. After the installation, he showed us everything we need to know about the chair. The quality is one of the best, if not the best. I already had people ask me about the stairlift and I told them that it was a fantastic product and it works for what it was made for.

The sales visit was excellent and very informative. I enjoyed the young man's attitude. The installation team was very professional and the stairlift is very high quality. I like the comfort and the smooth ride.

I was happy with the sales people. They were very informative and I was satisfied with what they had to say. I had a special-made stairlift 'cause of the way my stairway goes. It goes up then to the right angle, then it goes back up again. They explained how long it was gonna take and that it was gonna be a while. So far, I'm satisfied with my Stannah stairlift. I use it everyday and it's more convenient for me.

My husband was falling a lot and I have arthritis. Both of us were having trouble going up and down the stairs, especially as many times as my husband needed me to go down and bring him up and down and carry things. We went through a few different stairlift people and Stannah’s cost was better than some of the others and more reasonable. It had a guarantee and there was someone here in Southern California who could help us take care of it if there were any problems. But the installation process was not very good. We were happy with having the stairlift and the boys were very nice. But they knocked over my orchids and all the plants and pots were broken. Then, they left black marks on the walls and didn't connect the tubing. I could have done that myself. But the stairlift works and it's fine. My husband tries to use the stairs but whenever he needs the stairlift, he uses it.

The Stannah stairlift is more modern. My mom likes it. It takes the pressure from climbing the stairs all the time. Hopefully, without her having to climb the stairs, it'll prevent injury.

The Stannah stairlift was recommended by a VNA nurse. It was installed quickly. They came in when they said they were gonna be there and were prompt and efficient. We only used it three times, so it would be nice to have been able to get a refund.

My mother-in-law is having problems going up and down stairs and we looked into Stannah. It cost her a couple of dollars more but the features that all the other lift companies tried to sell as add-ons weren't add-ons. You're paying almost the same price but it all came in one package. So, it was a little smoother. She purchased two lifts because she lives in a split entry and both are great. They fit just fine. She likes the stairlift. She keeps jamming her foot into the footrest and the stairlift is stopping on her. But everything that has gone wrong are all user errors and Stannah stands right behind it. They call her and tell her to do this and that. The stairlift gave my mother-in-law a total change of attitude. She is a relatively new person and she leaves the house now.

I was given a used Stannah stairlift through the church and I went to have it installed. But nobody would help us because we did not buy it through them. It was very frustrating. I called Stannah and they said they would come down and install it, and they did. The installers were professional and kind. We have the stairlift serviced once every year and they're phenomenal. My parents are 94, my stepfather is 93, and Stannah installed a stairlift for them about two months ago. We’ve been very pleased with Stannah. The installers installed the stairlift in about an hour and a half and made sure everything ran smoothly. They cleaned up after themselves and were very knowledgeable. People should choose Stannah. They're the best out there and you cannot go wrong by choosing them. You'll be very happy.

I had a couple of little simple problems with the chair, but it was guaranteed. They came right away and took care of the situation. I was very happy. They changed the computer to a modern one. They also changed the left hand switch for the closing and raising of the foot stool. When the spring on the door spring broke, they replaced it. The chair has been working fine. The product is great. It's a quality product. I definitely recommend it to anybody. Everybody that came here has been nice as pie, and it was an excellent installation.

Our Stannah stairlift is great. Something happened at the beginning. I was able to get them here, and it was just dust that was caught in the mechanism, so they fixed that. It is working beautifully now. With the stairlift, my husband is able to go upstairs to bed and get downstairs. He's able to move around.

Stannah gives you the option to purchase a used chair. So, it's cheaper. Also, I looked up on the website for reviews, and they have better reviews than other companies. The people I dealt with were both very professional. I had questions for the person who came to give us an estimate, and he was responsive. The installation person did everything. I was disappointed with one thing. It wasn't clear to me when it was described that when you go up the stairs, you can move the chair to be facing the side but on the bottom, it's not. I live in New York City. So, the space is very limited. My mom is having a lot of trouble getting off the stairs even though I have a bar. Adding the swivel at the bottom would cost me $700 extra. I didn't realize that the bottom part wasn't included.

The gentleman that first came to do the measurements was so precise and very professional. He sat with us at the table and said he could manage to get it in because it's not a big area. The Stannah stairlift goes to the basement which goes to the garage. It's impacted my mom's life a lot because she couldn't get out before and we'd have to help her up the stairs and we're so afraid that she'd fall. And every time she had a doctor's appointment, we had to use a wheelchair and call my brothers over and physically pick up the wheelchair and bring it down the front stairs, down the lawn, and into the car. So, we did have to involve other people for her to get out and we don't have to do that now.

The Stannah sales rep was courteous. He explained everything and he was not pushy. I appreciated him. I had two indoors, straight stairlift put in -- one for once you go upstairs and one for the basement. The gentlemen were very good during the installation. They were quick and clean and they demonstrated perfectly well how it works. A gentleman just came here because the footrest wasn't working. He explained everything in great detail and I even had him repeat it a couple of times. It was a very simple matter and he showed me how to fix it if it happened again. He did not leave until I totally understood what had gone wrong.

Stannah was the first I spoke with and we needed to get it done within a time frame and they could do it. The sales rep was excellent and the installers were great. My experience has been positive and the stairlift is very helpful.

Stannah was my second choice because there was another brand that goes up to 400 pounds and the one from them only goes up to 350. So, I was worried because my husband's been up in those weight lanes and he’s still wide. But he’s closer to 300 now. He’s in his 70s and he doesn’t have mobility issues but he has a heart problem. We have 22 steps coming up into the main part of our house and his doctor wants him to go up a few stairs because it's good for him. But he doesn't want him going up all those stairs all at once.

When Stannah came out, they were very good and they talked to us about installing the chair. It's a good company. They explained the whole setup and everything about the chair. There was no drilling. The rep was very informative. It was a quick installation. It was one man and he did a very nice job. It's a great chair and it fits our needs. I like the safety features on it. It'll stop if it hits anything and it gives you beeps when you're doing something wrong. It was a good experience. It was well worth the investment.

A guy came in to install the Stannah stair lift. After he installed it, he came up and showed us how to do it, and he left. We have a big flight of stairs. We were upstairs, and when I went downstairs, there was a huge flooding downstairs. He had hit a pipe and broke a pipe. I guess he didn't check underneath the stairs where he drilled through it. I had to call up some clean-up people and had two big dehumidifiers in the house for about a week and six floor fans. Finally, it got dried out. They came and they removed the carpeting. I had to remove the stair lift because the carpeting was under the stair lift.

My husband suddenly became disabled and had his leg amputated. So we needed him to get up and be mobile through the house from one story to the next. When he came home, his first time trying to go from upstairs to downstairs, it was bad enough seeing him with his leg amputated. But to see him slide down the stairs just broke my heart. So, Stannah was a lifesaver to get the equipment in the house and you don't have to see your loved one sliding down the stairs. I had an excellent experience with the rep. She was gonna put in a call for someone to get back to me but she troubleshooted a few steps for me to try, and immediately, we were able to determine that my husband inadvertently touched the power switch on the handle. Once we turned that back on and we powered it down, the stairlift came right back on and we’ve had no problems since then. My husband loves the stairlift. He's up and down the stairs all day and night.

I would recommend Stannah. They were available in our area and could get the job done in the time frame we needed. They were very quick. It was within less than two weeks. We needed it for a surgery and with what was going to happen, they were very timely on it. They were very efficient as well. There were pieces missing but the installer made arrangements to come back with the correct pieces and everything went smoothly. The stairlift seems to be good quality and it works well. We are quite satisfied. It is worth the price we paid and we expect it will last the rest of our lives.

I've known the name, Stannah, for a long time and I thought they were the best. I did a little research and they had good ratings. I purchased it because my husband's 84 and he's recently had a heart attack. It's hard for him that the bedrooms are upstairs. The sales rep told us all the ins and outs about it. The installers came very quickly, whereas the other companies couldn't come out for a couple of weeks and I needed it quickly. There was a lot of work in putting it together on the stairs and with the wires. They showed us how to do it during the trial run and showed us how it works. They took my husband up and brought him down, and made sure that he could operate it properly. It's been great. Going up the stairs was very difficult since the heart attack. Now, he uses it all the time.

I was very impressed with Stannah. I called them and they immediately responded and came out within a week. I was happy with the service, from the person who works in the office who first called me to the person who came out to the house to explain everything. When the guy came out to install it, he was awesome. It's a little tight because I have a narrow stairwell, but I love the stairlift. I wish I had done it five years ago. It made a huge difference in my life. I can sit on the chair, take several groceries and bags that I need, hang them on the side of the arm and on my lap, and I can get up the stairs. I only have to make a couple of trips and it's not exhausting me to do it. If I had to get another one and put it somewhere else, I would go with Stannah again. It’s a little pricey, which was one of the hardest things, but it's been worth every penny.

The rep was very impressive when it comes to his dress and his looks. I consider people on how and what time they come and he was on time. My wife is weak so I bought the stairlift for her. I’m using it and I have a good experience but I have a little issue. Some of the parts in there don't work right. The handrail that comes up and down and out is very poor quality. Stannah can do a better job. I purchased this stairlift used so I had no warranty with it, which was why I didn't ever call them back.

The installers did a great job putting the stairlift in, and it works great. My mom likes it. Both my mom and dad use it, and it really helps them out a lot. I'm grateful to have it. Stannah is a great company, and I really like them a lot. They were a very professional company and very nice to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone that I know that would need a stairlift.

I got a Stannah stairlift originally for my parents a few years ago when they needed it. Then my mother-in-law moved in with us and she needed it because our stairs are pretty steep. She also needed it for her mobility, and it's worked out great. I had knee surgery, so I've been using it for a couple of weeks. It works great. I have the little remotes up and down. It hasn't failed us yet. The quality seems fine.

My Stannah stairlift is giving me additional comfort. I don't even go up and down the stairs anymore. I just use the stairlift. I noticed the black streak that it makes on the rail as it goes up or down. Also, I've been wondering if it has slowed down a little bit since I got it. So, it's been on my mind to call, but I figured I would wait a little longer. Other than those, I really have found that it's been a tremendous help to me. As far as the salesman, he was very good and very helpful. It was a kind of complicated installation. So, he was very careful to call his office and get expert advice on it. He took accurate pictures and was not afraid to humble himself and ask for advice.

My experience with Stannah was good. They were on time and delivered what they promised. The stairlift works just fine.

Stannah Stairlift is a real problem. The one in the back hall constantly stops. We have to constantly adjust it. It never quits. The fellow came out and told us about the various things that could go wrong. We can fix some of these easily, but it's not worth what it cost us to put these stairlifts in. We purchased a stairlift because both my husband and I are unable to easily climb the stairs. There are two short flights of stairs to the second floor. The first flight goes to an area out over our garage, which is our study and our office and where we spend most of our time. So then we had to put one up the front stairs, which we have used probably 10 times. It, so far, seems to run when we try to use it compared to the one in the back in the house. The one that comes in from the garage, we have not used very much and that seems to work every time.

My wife had some difficulty with her back, so she was having trouble going up and down the stairs. So, she started using the stairlift and it has been a lifesaver. It's been fantastic. The sales rep was fantastic and the installer was wonderful, too. When there was a part of the housing cover that came off, the installer came out again and took care of that and answered a couple of questions. He was very good. My wife uses the stairlift about seven times a day and it's been very, very helpful. It made a big difference in her life. We're very, very pleased with it.

Called in to make sure that the numbers were right, came by afterwards to look at the stairlift after it was installed. Also, the installation was quick and easy. The installers were in and out in an hour and a half hour. They were very thorough and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and showed me how to use the stairlift. We had glitches, and Stannah came right away and serviced within 24 hours.

The Stannah Stairlifts installers were polite, delightful, helpful and instructive. They knew what they were doing. They did it in the length of time that I expected them to do. Also, everything was cleaned and straightened out. My wife and I are elderly. The stairlifts give us the assurance that we could traverse between the floors without having to concern ourselves with a fall, which, at our age, would be disastrous.

We needed to install a stairlift quickly and Stannah was able to do that for us. It took them longer than I thought it would to put it in, but it was done smoothly. The technician seemed to know what he was doing. There was no big mess. It went nicely. We had some difficulties after it was put in and Stannah had a service person here in a matter of hours.

The Stannah sales rep was very knowledgeable and gave me a bunch of options. My only negative is the scheduling for the installation. They gave me a window and it fell outside that window a little bit. Also, the communication was little bit vague because I kept emailing and I kept getting answers that weren't spot on. To be very fair, it was around the holiday time but I had hoped that the installation would have been a little bit quicker.

We've owned Stannah before so we have a high level of confidence in the product and we're so accustomed to them. Any time we needed service, it's been so efficient. So, we wouldn't even consider anything else. This last purchase, we called the place that we had purchased from before but they were no longer carrying Stannah so we bought directly from Stannah. It went very well with the sales rep and he guided us into the right product for us. Then, the installer this time around did the best job of installing it so it conserves the most space. The stairlift is reliable and it performs as intended. It enables us to have a family member live with us versus not being able to do that.

I was very impressed with the rep from Stannah who came to explain the chair and I was very impressed with how much time she gave me. She gave me all kinds of time for questions, she didn't rush me, and she didn't make me feel I was stupid asking the questions. I was nervous about the cost but we talked about how we might work that. I felt good right from the start.

Our sales visit with Stannah's reps was wonderful. They were great and there was nothing that they didn't cover. We got two stairlifts from them. We have one straight and one curved. They are perfect for our home and the best thing is, my sister is so happy with them. The installation couldn't have been smoother and the installers came when they said they were going to come. They were nice, very knowledgeable, and respectable guys. They were also very neat and there was no fooling around. They were in and out of here in three and a half hours, four hours tops. I would highly recommend Stannah.

My experience has been great. Stannah came in and assessed everything, gave us a proposal, told us when the chairlift would be manufactured and where, when it would be shipped, when it would arrive in the United States, and when it would be installed, and everything was right on time. The installation was completed on February 8, and the chairlift has been working fine. We had a slight problem with some noise and they came out and fixed it. We're having a similar problem upstairs and I was gonna call them today and I'm sure they'll come right out and fix it. Overall, I'm very pleased with the decision we made. Not only to get a chairlift, but also to go with Stannah. I couldn't get upstairs or down without it.

I'm very happy with Stannah. It's changed my life for the better. I was having difficulty going up and down the stairs. I'm over 90, and it just got to be too difficult. I was looking around and a friend who has Stannah told me about it and recommended it highly. We called and took it from there. The sales rep was knowledgeable and explained everything. He was very good, and so far, the stairlift is working very well. It takes up a lot of room, but then again, my stairway is narrow and within those confines, it fits. People can get past it and go up and down without using it, which is great.

I got two other estimates from other companies and Stannah was on the high side. I would have preferred to pay a little less, but my sister told me that they love it, so I decided to go with Stannah. The rep and I had a good conversation. I got an indoor stairlift that goes straight up, but one option we have is the last piece lifts up because it was blocking about a third into the opening to the living room. The installer was excellent because he did it one, two, three and he was done, and the stairlift works great.

I did my homework and visited the showroom, then ordered a Stannah stairlift to extend from my basement to the second floor of my home. It was installed, but four months later I still can't use it. The chair faces the wall as it travels up the stairwell and it ends at the top step before my second floor landing. I was never told that the only way for the chair to face the landing rather than the wall was for me to manually turn it, pushing with my feet against the wall. I needed the stairlift because I have severe arthritis in my hip and chronic pain in legs, arms, shoulders, wrists, etc.

The Stannah Stairlift is a wonderful thing. It was wonderful for the short time that my wife used it. It's quiet. When I have used it, I would move it from one level, which is the resting level, to another. However, when it was out of place because it wasn't in this resting spot, it would signal that it needed to be moved back to where it generally would sit. That signal, if I wasn't ready to put it back for whatever reason, I would have liked to have some way of turning it off. I don't know if that exists. So, I would put it back to the level at which it normally would sit all night long. Otherwise, though, that beeping to alert me would be annoying. It makes you put it back where it's supposed to be and that's minor. But there might be some trick to turning off that sound.

I liked Stannah Stairlifts' availability and responsiveness. They were quick to get someone to come out and take a look to assess the right application. But I was a little disappointed. It took a bit longer than I wanted between giving a thumbs up and when it was installed. So, the representations made by the salesperson who came out to do the assessment were more aggressive than what was achievable. The price didn't change but the timing slipped by a number of weeks. What was something that was supposedly available for install within a couple of weeks took several weeks before it was available. Other than that, the installation went great. Also, the stairlift gets frequent use and works well.

The sales rep of Stannah was excellent. He was helpful. I first met him at a showroom, where he was able to demonstrate an actual stairlift, where other companies could not, and that made a difference to me. As well as when he came to look and review my area, whether it would fit, whether it would work, he was very informative. The quality of the stairlift has been good, so far.

I had been thinking about getting a stairlift for a long time because of the difficulty with going up and down the stairs. I went online first and put out a feeler to a few companies that I was interested and to get a quote. Stannah was the first one to respond and by the time somebody else responded, they had already come over, given us a quote, and explained everything to us. It seemed that they really knew what they were doing. We did get another quote, which was less money but Stannah seemed to be concentrating more on the stairlift.

The stairlift fits perfectly well into the stairwell. The only thing I'm really not satisfied with is I paid so much money and for the amount of money I paid, I find the seating not to my expectation. The padding covering the seating is so weak and looks so cheap. Other than those, everything is good.

The Stannah rep was very nice. The installer was also very nice. The stairlift is very smooth when it's running. It has a very sturdy leg system and rail system. It's battery-operated and works great for what I need it for.

We got a stairlift that goes straight up and down from Stannah, and I'm glad that we have it for the event that we do need it. When we purchased it, Stannah's reps came out and looked the place over. Then they gave us a quote along with several others and we didn't feel over-pressured. The features of the Stannah stairlift were better than the others, so we went with them. The installer was very professional and neat. He put the lift in and he went through and answered all of our questions. He also showed us the instructions for how to operate it. It's very good quality and it will pivot automatically when it gets to the top of the stairs to make it easier for the rider to get off. I would tell my friends to call Stannah.

I tracked down Stannah and told them that I wanted to meet with somebody. The person that came was the person who was going to do the installation, and it was very simple and easy. But I have a very unusual condition. I'm an architect and I knew exactly what I wanted to do. We did three floors and it was all done within less than a day. Fortunately, I have a very clean and open stair, so it works very well. It's not up against any walls and everything floats. But that has to do with the design of the stairs that existed before Stannah's railing came in.

I went to the place where they had the Stannah stairlift on display and I used it there. So when their reps came to my house, I understood what it was about. Initially, I was very careful about using the stairlift. But after a while, it was very easy for me. The stairlift works great and since I got it, I don't have to walk up steps. And that has helped me a lot, because I have difficulty with that. I use the stairlift about three times a day and it has made it easier for me to go from one level to another.

Stannah was one of the closest companies to us and when we spoke to their reps, they were very good. They gave us a lot of information to begin with and we worked a lot remotely with them. They sent me videos, which I saw on my phone. So, I watched the videos and got the feel for what the differences were, what was available, then we discussed it on the phone. We took pictures and sent it to them. I gave them a couple of measurements and they were able to use that. They were really easy to deal with and they were not forceful. At the time, they had a promotion going and they came back and offered it to me. Then they said they would install the stairlift whenever I wanted it installed and they were true to their words all the way through.

Stannah's sales rep was wonderful and he went out of his way to do everything correctly. The person that we put this chairlift in for had a trial run and when he got up to go to the other room, he fell. I had to call 911 for help to have them come out and pick him up. The sales rep also offered to help me. When the chairlift was installed, it took two and a half hours. It's straight and fits in wonderfully in our home. I've used it for many things like my laundry and when I go shop for stuff, I bring it on the chairlift instead of carrying it downstairs. The quality is very good and we're very happy so far.

The installation was perfect. The installer went over the key functions. The Stannah stairlift does what it's supposed to do. In the beginning, we made sure that when my mother was going up or down, we were there because she still got a little bit confused when it got to the bottom. It slows down before it comes to a stop. She was wanting to get off then but she's gotten past that. We were going to leave it in the position where she can get on it in the morning to go back downstairs, but it blocks the stairway for my husband and I. I just make sure I'm up in the morning before she wants to go downstairs and I put it in the correct position.

I probably could have negotiated a better deal but the sales rep seemed trustworthy and the installation went very well. It was more than what I had anticipated. There was more effort. I like the Stannah stairlift. I checked on the possibility of getting an elevator but this was easier, less costly, and less disruption. The stairlift has good quality. It's a little rough on the turns but I'm sure if I call them, they will come out and make any adjustments that I find necessary.

The guy, Tony, was excellent. The guys came in and put the stairlift together. They were very thorough. It's nice and neat. The stairlift is a little pricey but I'm happy with it.

It was excellent with Stannah. We like the product and the salesperson who was not pushy and very knowledgeable about the product and competitors' products. The installer showed up on time, went through the install for a couple of hours, and explained it. The price was a little steeper than some though.

The Stannah salesman explained a lot more things, the reason how they're gonna do it different from the other company, which made perfect sense. We set a date and I gave them the deposit. During the installation, they were here for three hours. It was six to eight stairs that had to be done, and it went very well. It cost me $1,800 more than another quote that I had, but I'm glad I did it. I felt much better with Stannah than I did with the other companies.

We like that Stannah Stairlifts is nationwide. They knew what they were doing. The amount of money they were charging was in the ballpark. In the morning of the installation, they had to call us early because the installer called in sick. But they sent a guy that was in charge of the installers the next morning. He came by himself and did the installation. He pre-made everything so he didn't have to do any cutting. He just put it together. We love our Stannah stairlift.

The stairlift is working fine. It's easy to use. There are buttons. I leave the chair down at the bottom of the stairs because my husband has to go up and down the cellar stairs. I could bring it up if I'm gonna use it, and it's just a matter of remembering where the switches are.

We're an elevator company and we used the Stannah stairlift while we installed an elevator in a nursing home. The salesperson came up from New York, walked us through the option of the stairlift, where they could put it, how they were gonna install it, and when they could install it. He was good. He helped us talk the customer into getting the stairlift. They wanted a wheelchair lift that would never work. He was really professional.

The rep Michelle was very personable and she gave me her phone number. We got a stairlift that turns when you get to the top. It goes to the top step and there's no space in between. There's less chance of falling. The installer was very neat and polite. The only problem we had was the credit card machine. It made it look like they kept declining my wife's card. Other than that, when I have to carry something or I'm feeling unsteady, I have the option to take the stairlift. It's slow but that's not a deal killer. It's convenient and safe. It saves me from getting injured.

I love the Stannah Stairlift. I can't live without it. It's fantastic and beautiful. It doesn't look horrible. It blends in with the walls. The installation team was fine, courteous and quick. It took them less than two hours. They were pleasant and helpful in telling us about the stairs and showing us how it worked.

The sales rep and the installer were very nice. I took a used stairlift ‘cause it fit my budget better, and the sales rep answered all the questions that I had. The installer was neat and thorough, and he finished in the timeline that he gave me. The quality of the stairlift is good, and it makes things easier for my husband ‘cause he has Alzheimer's and his balance is not that good. It helps him when he's going up or down. I'm also using it because I have a slight breathing problem. My granddaughter enjoys the stairlift as well. She likes to ride on it.

Stannah could care less about their customers - they are so greed driven that they will only sell parts to their own dealers - not even to a licensed electrician - they are money grabbers - purchase a chair from a different company - We need another chair and will never purchase from them again!!!

The stairlift is very helpful in the ascending and descending a very steep flight of stairs within the house. It works perfectly well every time. It's not cheap, but I understand a little bit about mechanical devices, and the price did not surprise me. The installers knew what they were doing and did it expertly and quickly.

The rep was very informative and helpful. He said, “No, we have a 300-pound maximum that we can get you, so it would be a single. Plus the Acorn, whether it makes any difference or not, I'm sure it's all engineering, had just a single rail. The Stannah had a dual rail that you rode up on and moved up on and all that." I said that was a little safer and more sturdier. So we went with Stannah. The installation team was fine. They were very informative and quiet. They did their job. They answered any questions that we had. The explanation at the end was excellent.

I liked that Stannah's equipment was concealed. The installation was done extremely well and very clean. They came in the morning and they were done by noon. It was one man who definitely knew what he was doing. He was a true professional and that made me happy. It's a straight chairlift and it fits really well in my staircase. If my staircase was six inches wider, it would fit better. But it's not a problem. The stairlift is a wonderful piece of equipment. It fits everything we need and it's quiet.

Stannah was the best match for me for what I needed. Their presentation ran an hour and it was thorough, informative, and straightforward. Stannah is more on the expensive end. There are other places out there that do it for cheaper but I'm not really sure about the quality. Once I decided I wanted to go through with it, I had to call up Stannah and it was hard to get in touch with somebody to actually come out. They sent me in circles a little bit.

Stannah's sales rep was very knowledgeable. He explained to me everything that needed to be done and how the stairlift would work. The installers were also very good. I got the straight model and it fits my home much better than I expected. The living area of my house is on one floor, but my house is built one level up from the street. So to get in and out of my house, I always had to go up and down stairs. And since I have trouble with stairs, the stairlift has made it much easier. I would have liked it to be cheaper but I accepted what the price was.

My friend in England has a Stannah Stairlift and it goes around almost in a spiral. He and his wife have used that and he's moving here. So, I called the Stannah people and they came and talked to me and him via virtual call. The sales visit went very well. The salesperson talked to my friend in England and me. They discussed what my friend needed and then, the woman came a couple of weeks later and installed the stairlift. I had to go out during part of the installation but I came back before it was finished, and it was all done. She did it quickly.

I went over the paperwork with the installer and he showed me where everything was gonna go and how to use the stairlift. Everything has been wonderful. I have post-polio and my legs are weak. The stairlift really helps me get up to the second floor. When I go shopping, I come home, and if I have three or four bags, I take one bag up at a time on the chair and come down and get the other. I like that the lift has a thing for the feet so I can rest my feet on it and hold something on my lap at the same time. Also, if my daughter brings the lift down the stairs and I need it back up, I just reach for the remote. There's also a remote at the top of the stairs, at the bottom of the stairs, and on the chair. Plus the stairlift is cheaper than I thought it would be.

Stannah Stairlifts has a good reputation. They were the first one that we talked to. We went out to their showroom and it all seemed reputable. Someone came out here, did some measurements, answered questions. There was some period where there was some mix-up with telephone numbers. We tried to contact a salesperson. We didn't get replies quickly. We left messages but we didn't realize who was at the other end. So, it took a while. And when it finally became apparent, it all got cleared up. So, it was just a mishap. The installers were here for four hours. I occasionally walked down and I asked them a few questions. So, they told me what they were up to. It was all casual. The starlift was a good purchase. It's a good machine. It has a double rail, doesn't require any active maintenance, and fits in well. We're glad about it.

Stannah seemed to be reputable company and when I reached out to them, they were very responsive. During the initial sales visit, which was scheduled really quickly after my call, we walked through the whole building interior and exterior to see the layout and for the rep to take some measurements and eyeball things and to find out which location would be the best application for installing the lift. The sales rep was top-notch, easily reachable by phone and by email, super helpful and answered any questions that we had. The ballpark quote was almost spot on to what we ended up being quoted.

We got a stairlift from Stannah. They were the cheapest. Their sales rep came out, measured everything, and gave us the quote. Then, we told them to go ahead and put it in. The installers were great. They came out and they put it all in in one day and there was no problem. The stairlift is great. It gets my father and my wife up and down the stairs.

The salesman didn't give me a choice of what model I wanted. He just wrote it up. I would have liked to have known if there were other options besides the one I got. This is also cheaper made than the one I had before and the installer could've given me better instructions on how to operate this because it is different than that.

Rich was our guy and he was down-to-earth and very communicative. He had a good use of the language and he explained everything in great detail, so we understood it without even reading the owner's manual on how to use the stairlift and what we would get beforehand. As it turned out, we got that and it's exactly as he explained it. Then Stannah sent a woman by the name of Katherine and she was very talented. She figured everything out and she was very methodical without taking any breaks. From what I could see, she just put it right up. It was all done rather quickly.

I'm very happy with the stairlift. Stannah did a nice and neat job. They were efficient. They did the installation in a couple of hours that one day.

I had a good experience with Stannah. The rep was very polite. He did his job and did it well. My chairlift comes all the way down and goes all the way up. I push the two side arms and the seat down and push the button. It's a good fit for my stairwell. Having this chairlift is much easier than climbing the stairs. I'm 77 and I have a difficult time. I'm glad I got Stannah. It has greatly improved my life. The ride is smooth and it comes all the way down and I turn around at the top. The speed is fine. It's not too fast and not too slow.

We had a few problems at first with adjustments but the installers came right out as soon as I called and rectified everything that was a problem. I'm doing very well and very pleased with it.

I was getting all these high prices and then one company was offering 8 grand. Then Will, the salesman, got mine down to 8 grand by getting a used chair for the chairlift. It's a double-rail chairlift that goes up the steps and hangs a left. So I used Stannah. Two gentlemen came in for the installation. They finished in record time. They were very nice. They came from New Jersey to install the chairlift, which was amazing. They taught me how to go for a ride on it. The chairlift was structurally built very well. They took their time putting it together. They covered all the wires up.

The stairlift that I had to purchase was an outdoor one, so it was kind of specialized. I had two quotations that came to the house, and I chose Stannah. The sales guy that came out was Moe. He looked at what I needed. I purchased the stairlift through their 0% financing. I didn't really wanna buy a brand new one, and he offered a refurbished one, which is just as good as brand new for me because of the warranties. The quality was the same, and you would never tell whether it was new or used. I was fortunate that they did have one. He gave me a price, and that was how it worked.

The lady from Stannah came in, and we talked about the stairlift. She measured then gave me a price. I had priced it before with other companies, and the price the lady gave me was about average. I made the decision to get the stairlift, then they did the install. I gave a deposit, and when they were done, I paid it off. My wife has been using the stairlift, and it looks and works good. It’s got three turns and it seems to fit perfectly. I'm happy with it, and I would recommend it.

I bought a Stannah stairlift for my elderly mother. I was able to do choose it via pictures and I measured. I didn't really meet the salesperson but she was very nice on the phone. We spoke a few times and made that they had everything that they needed on there before we set up the installation. My mother lives in a very old house in the front. There's this big open spiral staircase and it would have been way too expensive. Also, there are more stairs outside. So, we had to do two chairlifts in her back hall. It's really tight, but it's because the staircase is narrow and the stairlift fits there. Plus, I feel safer in it being with less space around.

The rep with Stannah was very helpful. He gave us lots of information. The stairlift seems to be working well. It's made it easier for both my wife and me to get upstairs and downstairs. I'd like it a little bit cheaper, but it worked out fine. We'd recommend it.

I like Stannah Stairlifts. I've had them for the last 15 years and recently did an upgrade. The process was excellent. Once I decided what I was gonna do, I called them and they were here within two days. They measured everything and made sure everything would fit. I had the old stairlift moved to my cellar stairs and the new one put on my stairs that went upstairs.

The stairlift performs well. It makes going up and down the stairs a lot easier especially when we're carrying something.

She worked from 9:30 when she got here till 5:30 when it was finished. It's a very tight fit and if our stairwell was narrower by a quarter of an inch, we wouldn't have been able to put it in. But so far, it's worked well. It feels very secure. I am just waiting to hear about the status of our new motor to replace the defective one that's in the stairlift.

The Stannah Stairlifts seemed to be sturdier. They had fewer problems. They also can take someone that weighs more than I do. The installation was very good. The track had to be custom-made because it was going up, not only from the lower level, it had a stop at a landing, and then turn around and go back up the stairs to the upper floor.

Everything's wonderful - right from the salesperson, installation, the quality of the product, the warranty, even the handles on the chair itself. I like the chair itself and the safety features of the chair. I felt that the other chairs possibly someone could slide off of, where Stannah is not. I felt it was more secure. Also, when the salesperson came, how he did all the measurements, he was very particular and meticulous on everything.

The rep I spoke to was good and the installation was seamless. The stairlift is of good quality and it's working well for my mother. She's pretty comfortable and with it, she doesn't have to use the stairs. We've recommended Stannah to a few people who came to our house.

I was supposed to get my Stannah stairlift installed but it's an outdoor staircase and they got a rain forecast, so they canceled. But instead of just postponing it for a day, they postponed it for a whole week. So, I arrived at the house without any stair chair and I was not a happy camper. Other than that, it was a one-man install and he was polite. He gave us a little tutorial, which could have been a little better, but otherwise, he did a great job. The stairlift has worked fine so far and it has enabled me to get out of the house and get to the doctor. Without it, I don't know whether I would have been able to use this house.

So, getting the stairlift installed took under six weeks. It was nobody's fault but time. My only thing is I never got confirmation that the installers were coming. I had to reach out to them. But as soon as I reached out, the sales rep was very responsive and I was given the window of 11:00 to 2:00, and the installers were there at the strike of 11:00, which was perfect. We needed to know about the time because it was at my parents’ home.

The person who came down to demonstrate the Stannah Stairlift to us was very nice and knowledgeable. I was thinking maybe they would have to attach it to the wall, but after he got through talking to us, he said, "No, it's not intrusive." They just attach it to the stairs and if we ever had to take it out, there would be no damage to any part of the stairwell. It's attached to the stair treads and they fill it in a little bit. We've had it for a month now and it does the job. It does what we intended it. It's easy to use. It's no muss, no fuss. It's got very few controls for my wife. When she gets in it, she feels safe.

Michelle, the rep, was good and explained everything. One stairlift is outside and another one is inside. The installation went very well on both of them and the quality seems very well so far. The stairlift made life a lot better and Stannah is the way to go. It's better than the other ones.
