My husband has not been outside the house for over a year because he couldn't get down the steps. He was a prisoner in our own home. We even had to cancel all the doctor appointments. Then COVID hit. I looked on the internet to try to find someone that could come to meet our needs. We had another company before that gave us an estimate for the stairlift, but we didn't follow through with it because it was very expensive, although we needed to have it done. Stannah Stairlifts is still very expensive. They came out and so far, have been meeting our needs. He's able to go to the doctors’ offices now. Although with COVID, there really isn't any place to go, but at least I can get him into the chair and down the steps, then transfer him from the stairlift into the wheelchair to get him to the vehicle, so that we can at least go for a ride and get some fresh air.

Stannah sent the person who’d do the estimate to the house. We just love the service, so we put the stairlift right away. The installation team was perfect. The gentlemen explained to me and my father everything and how everything worked. It has two curves and I like that feature. It’s been a big change for my father. That was the best company ever. It's a great service.

I have a really bad hip. The lady came and she was very thorough. She explained everything and we finished up in one sales call. I'd give her business card for people to call her. The installer knew what he was doing. He was in and out in a short period of time. I like that I don't have to walk upstairs with Stannah Stairlift. It is a little bit narrow, but that's not the stairlift’s fault. It works and we managed to store it where it’s out of the way.

We had a stairlift before and we purchased it used. We spent 200 bucks on it and we couldn't find anyone to come out and service it at that point. We decided to get a new one. So we shopped multiple vendors and Stannah was the one she picked. The sales rep knew what he was talking about and he was able to answer all the questions. So we were really, really satisfied. One guy did the installation but it went really well. Everything was installed in one afternoon.

My experience with using the stairlift has been good.

My mom was having problems getting up the stairs so we thought the stairlift would be a good idea. I was there when they installed it and they were very helpful. It was a very simple process. The installer was great. It took him a while, but he was very professional and polite. He wore a mask. He was very independent. He did what he had to do and there was no mess. Then he explained to me in detail how to use it, which was helpful. I would recommend them highly. I like the fact that it turns when you get to the top of the stairs because it makes it easier to get out.

The night before Valentine's Day, I managed to fall down a very steep flight of stairs and wound up with a broken neck. So, everybody made a decision that I was not gonna climb stairs anymore. I stayed in our first floor apartment where our niece is living while she goes to school. Then I moved back up to the second floor the day after the stairlift was installed. It fits into my new lifestyle very well. I was shown how to use it after they were done. My husband interacted with the installers and found it very satisfactory.

My mom is not able to go down the stairs so we decided to purchase a stairlift. The Stannah sales rep was very good and understandable. We had a straight indoor stairlift installed and it is smooth to ride and easy to use.

My wife has problems walking and we live in a split-level ranch house. It was very difficult for her to go downstairs and upstairs. I did some research about chairlifts and I called a few places and got prices. It seems that other brands are made in other countries and I decided to go with Stannah. I bought a chair and they installed it right away. The person who came to install it was very well-trained, very knowledgeable, and showed us how to use it. We bought it in June and my wife used that chair for a month. Unfortunately, she passed away in July. But we were very happy with the few times that we used the chair to get to the hospital. It was solid and good with well-built instruments. I'm an engineer and I could see that it was a well-put chair. Also, it was very smooth and easy to operate with the platform for the feet.

I was looking around for a chairlift and I came across the Stannah name. I did a little research and they responded very well to me. Their sales reps were very accommodating and came to the house and talked to me, whereas some of the others just had me describe the situation and never came to the house. I got two straight stairlifts and they fit in nicely in my home. My wife isn't happy with them because she doesn't like the looks, but they're doing fine. When they were installed, the installers did their work promptly and got the job done. They demonstrated how to use it once and I got it right away. So far, my stairlifts are working well and I'm very happy. They do the job and that was what I needed. I feel a little older because I have to use one, but other than that, I have no problem.

My wife had just come back from the hospital, and she had breathing problems requiring oxygen. My legs are more or less out of order, and I found getting upstairs to be very difficult. We decided to get a stairlift. We liked Stannah's salesperson and we heard good recommendations about the company. The installation was very good and very quick. We got a straight stairlift. It works. The price was a bit high, but the quality is good.

My wife is disabled and she can't climb stairs. I have three stairlifts. One is outside, one goes from the first floor down into the sunken living room, and another goes from the first floor to the second floor. They've been wonderful and the cost is reasonable. But for some reason, I cannot find the two controls that control the outside stairlift.

We got the straight stailift and it fits very well in our home. Its quality is the highest. The installation team was excellent. They showed to my husband how to use it, and he's happy. It was for him because he cannot walk upstairs and downstairs. He cannot use stairs to walk.

I have arthritis, and that makes it difficult in the knees to go up and down steps. I wanted to get a stairlift. The sales visit with Stannah was very good. The rep was excellent. In fact, I purchased a second stairlift, and it wasn't the same representative. But the experiences are very good. I found them informative and they weren't pushy.

We've had our Stannah stairlift for a month now, and it's doing the job it's supposed to. So far, it's reliable, so I'm quite pleased with it. There were several companies, and I'd heard about Stannah Stairlifts from some people. I checked the others, though. They're all about the same price but Stannah had at least the reputation that I had tapped into. I dealt with Tony, and he operates out of the Franklin office. We spent some time. He's a nice guy and very explicit and explained a lot of things. My interactions with him worked out very well.

My mother had a stroke and she needed a stairlift. I called a couple of places and I talked to that guy from Stannah. I was working with two guys and that guy told me I could lease it. And if I liked it, I could buy it. I just leased it for now. However, I wish I got a stairlift that went around the corner because she really can't get down the stairs. But the other issue is it doesn't lie flat on the top of the stairs. The chair hangs over the stairs. It should be level with the hallway and it's not. I called last week and I asked someone to call me back because I said it doesn't sit right at the top of the stairs. It's not on a flat surface for my mother to get on it. And then, I wish I got one that went around the corner, but I didn't. I got one just to go down the stairs. But from there, there are only three steps but I'm unable to get her down. I got the one that curved.

I’ve heard about Stannah from a family member, and I purchased it because my mother needed help getting up and down the stairs. The Stannah sales rep was great. The sales part was conducted virtually due to COVID, and he was very professional, helpful, and responsive. Everything went great during the installation. The guys who came to install it were on time. They were a pleasure to have in the home. Everything was done professionally and as quickly as possible. It was a big job because we had two stairlifts put in, and I've been nothing but happy with it. My mother loves the stairlift. She's thrilled to have them installed. We have a two and a half-year-old who sleeps on the top floor and does a lot of his playtime up on the top floor, and the stairlift means she can get up there without having to hesitate and wonder if she has to struggle up and down the stairs. It's pretty great.

Stannah Stairlifts was a class group. They were the first one that could fit us into an appointment. They saw the emergency that we had and fit us in as soon as they could. It was a great turnover. The sales representative was knowledgeable, thorough, and very pleasant. He couldn't have explained the stairlfit any more. When my father couldn't understand it, he explained it again. He was very patient. He should be rewarded somehow. We wanted to give him something, but he would not allow that and he would not take it. The stairlift fits in very well. It's nice and compact, and very comfortable and rugged. I'm not looking at any other stairlift. It's a good piece of equipment.

I was having trouble with one of my legs as I couldn't bend it and I couldn't get around. I had to find some way to get up and down the stairs. I went online and Stannah seemed to have a little bit of a higher rating than some of the other companies. They had a very good rep who explained everything really thoroughly. I was very pleased with him. I have the straight stairlift. It fits into the stairwell very well and it folds up. But if you leave it open, it kinda blocks the stairwell so you wouldn't be able to fall down the stairs. The stairlift serves its purpose of getting me up and down the stairs. It's very new, so I haven't had a long-time experience, but so far, I'm very pleased with it.

The Stannah stairlift is very comfortable. It's for my wife. The guy who installed it was very good and I'm happy with it. The sales representative was fine too. Everything was done efficiently and quickly.

I had a good presentation from the guy who came out. I looked at one other company, and I went with Stannah because it was a better presentation and a better product. The rep gave me a full walkthrough and showed and told me everything I needed to know. So I was pretty well-informed by the end of it. The installers were on time. They explained everything, walked me through it after it was installed and showed me how to use it.

So far, Stannah has been great. I got it for my mom. She had a hip surgery, so she can't walk up the stairs right now. Stannah's rep was very good, very professional, very straightforward and he told me everything I needed to know. The installers were hard at work and did their job well. They came on time, too. My dad has been using the stairlift and he's finally gotten to learn how to use it. I'm very satisfied, and it hopefully continues.

My children nagged me into getting a Stannah stairlift. The sales rep was wonderful. The installation went fine.I'm a satisfied customer. My Stannah stairlift makes going up and down the stairs not a problem. It's not tiring. It's easy.

My wife has a knee problem. Stannah was located close by and I was able to visit the showroom. The sales representative was good. I made the call to have someone come over to look, and he did. He knew the product. He explained a lot. I don't grasp that quickly, but he explained it. And then, he gave me two options, I made a decision on one, and then I made the decision to purchase.

We liked the terms of the rental. We are renting the stairlift instead of buying it and it was a cost-effective rental. We love the stairlift. It came just in time as there was an emergency shortly after it was installed. It was very helpful in getting Brian down the stairs and quickly out the door. That was wonderful. The machine works beautifully. The people who installed it were professional. We're very pleased with it. We have wanted two more - one to the basement and when going to the garage. So, we will be an all-Stannah Stairlifts house.

I did a lot of research and Stannah Stairlifts finally came back, set up an appointment, came in and then did a fashionable, detailed presentation. And the fact that they service them, they’re right around the corner, and great reviews. I also liked the no-pressure from the salesperson. It was an awesome job. The salesperson used the iPad and it was great. He answered every question. It was perfect. My parents ended up going to the showroom at the recommendation of the salesperson just to look and sit on it and do whatever you wanted with it because they had the advantage of living not too far from it. As soon as we called to confirm it, again, they professionally got back to us timely, set up the appointment and then came in and installed the whole thing. There was nothing they could have done better.

Friends had used Stannah and they were pleased. We opted for it too and because I stay in my room, my husband was the one involved with the purchase and installation process and he was happy with all of that. The stairlift is excellent. It works and it does what I need it to do. I like that it turns so I get in facing one way then it turns to head down the stairs. This has all the features that I want.

I have a finished basement with a handicap shower and it had the washer dryer. The rest of my house is all on one floor. I thought if I could get a stairlift, I could be independent of my husband having to help me up and down the stairs and I can do some jobs while he wasn’t here. We got a rebuilt stairlift from Stannah. I had a wonderful sales rep. He was a nice young man who went over and above what he had to do. Installers put in the stairlift on a Wednesday and it looks perfect. I had one ride and it was great. I felt safe and it was comfortable. It fit all the criteria of the reason we got the stairlift. But on Thursday, I got rushed to the hospital and have been there ever since.

I broke my hip and I was not able to get up to my bedroom or to the shower upstairs. I interviewed several different stairlift providers and I liked Stannah. They came up with an idea that none of the others did so I was very pleased with them. Their rep was a very nice man who was very knowledgeable. He did what he needed to do and didn’t make a big deal out of it like some of the others had. I liked him very much. He had self confidence.

I looked at Stannah's advertising and the stuff that was online about them. They had wonderful things advertised. I fell for all their advertising and decided to put them on. I figured their years of experience backed up my reasons for selecting them. I also figured they would get very experienced installers. That was what I was concerned about along with the reliability, dependability, and endurance of the work.

It's difficult to go up and down the stairs. I was looking for a stairlift that could fold up as much as possible so it would still be possible for other people to come up and down stairs without falling over a chair. The salesperson from Stannah was very nice and very knowledgeable. The installer did a fantastic job. He had clearly done it at least once before. It came out looking really nice. He did show how the stairlift works, too. The only thing is when it gets to the very bottom and that last track folds out and the chair goes over that, the body gets very wobbly.

We had a particular curved application and they are way more expensive on the straight applications. When I researched it, the curved applications were pretty close to one another. And with Stannah, they install. That was a big factor. Their price includes installation. The salesman who came out measured in a professional manner, and sat down with my wife and myself and ran us through the cost of various things. We ended up installing four stair shares - one from Stannah and three from another company. Stannah was not competitive with the other three. They were competitive with the curved one.

My father is disabled. We needed to have a stairlift for him. We liked Stannah's cost and the way that the stairlift is laid out because it's a narrow staircase. Stannah was pretty competitive. The sales visit was a good experience. We had a nice guy. We got the outdoor stairlift and it works out great. The guy who installed it did a good job. He cleaned up after himself.

My decision to purchase a Stannah stairlift was price-driven, and the sales rep that I dealt with was a disaster -- terrible installation, poor communication, the job was an unmitigated disaster. It cost my client a lot of money and aggravation. The stair came wrong. We were not given the full and proper shop drawings, so I don't know why they could not pull that together. We were told they could do, and then they couldn't do. It's workable but my client is incredibly unhappy.

We did research on stairlifts. We had a couple of different companies, Acorn, Stannah, and another come up. With Stannah, they had some options that other companies didn’t have. The biggest seller was the motorized foot rest that would go up. So that way my mother didn’t have to transition, even though the distance was only a couple inches. Still, when she stood up she was on the ground, she would be walking. My mom has MS and neuropathy and a couple different things so that was the biggest seller. I was there for the sales visit and it was professional, courteous and informative.

My dad needed a Stannah stairlift to go up and down the stairs. The salesman and the installation were great. Everything went very smoothly and the quality is great. I like that my dad can safely get up and down the stairs now.

The customer service rep I dealt with was very nice, and the person who installed it was wonderful. I ride the chair to my bed upstairs. This way, I can get up and down. Overall, the chair is wonderful.

Our Stannah stairlift does exactly what it should do and it functions properly. It is everything we thought plus a whole lot more. Out of all the ones that I researched, I'm glad that we went with this route. We researched them online and read about the reviews that other people were doing. Then some of the prices were a lot less and you also got what you pay for. When you start spending $10,000, you don’t want a piece of crap that is going to crap out on you, or you do not want to have issues with people doing all kinds of service calls. It boils down to you get what you pay for. Stannah is like the Cadillac, if not Lamborghini, of stairlifts.

When I Google searched, Stannah Stairlifts came up. I chose to go with them for how it worked on the website. They were also local. Everything is working well with my Stannah stairlift. The installation went fine. And the installers showed everything.

My Stannah Stairlift has been really useful and helpful and it works well. Getting it was a good decision. It's too expensive, but the quality is good. However it sticks out a little bit. I wish there was a way to make it more compact when it's not in use.

Stannah's reps were excellent, and we're very satisfied with their stairlift. It rides smoothly.

When Kelly broke her leg in three places, the fire department had a hard time getting her out because they couldn’t bring the stretcher, which wouldn’t go by the stairlift. They had to resort to putting her in the chair and moving her to the stretcher when she got outside, which caused her a good amount of pain. She ended up in the hospital in January and had the same problem. Then, a couple of weeks ago, she took a fall and had the same problem. I don’t know if the chair is too big for the stairs, but when I got it put in, I asked if the fire department was going to be able to get her out. I was told yes. Stannah told me that the legal was 20 inches. However, they should measure a stretcher at the fire department because 20 inches wasn’t even close to being a safe way to get her out.

We like out Stannah stairflift very much. It works smoothly and it never gives us any trouble. The remote works fine and it's just what we expected. It fits perfectly on our staircase, too. My wife loves it because we bought it for her -- she has Parkinson’s, so she needs that. The two guys came in and installed the whole thing in about three hours. They were very professional and we were very happy with their work. Overall, the stairlift helped us ease our life because my wife cannot walk up the steps, so she uses the chair. So, it makes both of our life less stressful.

My wife had liver issues. She became very weak and lost mostly the use of her legs. We have a two-story house and she couldn’t climb the stairs so we had to have a stairlift. The sales reps were quite fine. I expected the cost to be high, and it was. The problem, however, is that you get one overview. When it is installed, it is all explained to you. Then, a week later, the first time there is a problem, you cannot remember what the guy told you -- It’s got nothing to do with anything except human nature.

I bought a Stannah Stairlift for my parents. The person from Stannah who came and briefed us on their product was fantastic. My parents felt most comfortable with him, so we went with their product. The installation went very well and their crew was very efficient. They did the job fairly quickly. My parents have both since passed and they didn't have the stairlift very long. Still, going with Stannah was a pleasant experience.

We called the person and they came to my friend's house. They looked at it and they recommended something. Then, we ended up getting Stannah Stairlifts and did not look at anybody else. The installation was excellent and I was amazed. The people were craftsmen, and everything had to be so precise. There were two parts, one came downstairs and the other came down the basement. The clearance of the door of the one down the basement is three to an inch, and they did an excellent job.

I liked the Stannah salesman that I dealt with and the showroom girls. The installation guys really knew what they were doing. I have a complicated staircase, but they managed to go around all the bends. I had gotten one of the new models that they just got in from England. And the stairlift would just take off and go upstairs by itself all of a sudden, A guy came over and was very nice, but I could tell that he didn't really believe me. We were sitting and talking on my sofa, when all of a sudden, the chair took off. He was able to film it and everybody was amazed. He came and put in new parts and it hasn't gone upstairs by itself at all.

We got a Stannah stairlift for my mother. She has problem walking. I looked at Acorn, AmeriGlide and others, but Stannah was close. They have an office in Franklin, so I like that. The home visit was very good. There was no high pressure and their rep was eager to answer all my questions. The straight stairlift we got is great. It seems very sturdy. It has a retractable track at the bottom, so it gets out of the way, and I really like that.

Stannah was the more well-known name. Lisa, the sales representative, was very helpful and pleasant. She answered all my questions. My father has been very happy with the stairlift. It's certainly helpful and very easy to use. It's straight and the basic one. The stairlift has made it a lot easier for my father to be mobile and to remain in his house versus having to maybe go into some type of assisted living. The experience was as I expected.

We needed a stairlift in the family for somebody who was having trouble getting up the stairs. And because Stannah had the highest quality compared to other providers, I had it put in a year ago. It's a perfect product. It's attractive and you can tell that it's quality and it's safe. There are no loose parts. I had to have it removed, though, because the person who needed to use it was alone and couldn't operate it. I had no trouble getting the stairlift removed, and then, the installers came back and put it in when I needed it. They're a very good company. Their sales rep was excellent and the installation team was perfect. They were very courteous, neat, timely, knowledgeable and skilled.

The installer was from New Jersey and I'm in New York. With the stairlift, I like the convenience of not having to use the stairs when the person can’t go up and down stairs. Unfortunately, the person has been in the hospital and was only able to use it once. However, we use it. There are other family members who are not able to do the stairs too well. So, it seems to be working fine. And my mom, who is 90, is also having one installed.

In 2016, we had a Stannah chair installed in my house. At the time, we needed it because I broke my foot and we didn’t know how long I would be off of that. After the rental period was over, we decided to keep it in case we may need it. We like the style of it, and it is very comfortable for me. It looks good, too. We like the customer service as well. They take everything into consideration, and they were expedient in coming when we had to have ours repaired. So, are very happy with the overall experience. We recommended it to our friend, and he also likes the chair. He has Parkinson’s and it has been very hard for him to get in and out of chairs. He is a big guy, and this chair is higher and the arms are longer for him to hold onto. He was able to get in and out of it easier.

We’ve had Stannah Stairlifts put in the house twice before when my parents were sick. We're very familiar with them and so we knew to call the same people this time. The process was very easy and they made it very simple--came in, explained the whole thing, put in place, right on time with absolutely no problems. The stairlift is easy to use, it works well, and it’s out of the way as it could be. The only thing is that we probably need it for about six weeks. My husband is recovering from surgery so he can’t get up and down the stairs now but he's getting better all the time. The minimum they had was six months’ rental, which is $1,500, and so we had to do that.

I had an event with nerve damage and I couldn’t walk very well. I was home from rehabilitation, and I had nine steps I needed to do and it was not happening fast enough. So I figured I’d purchase this lift, and then move my progress to my bedroom. I saw what Stannah had to offer and I worked for it. They sent someone out to take a look at the job and talked to me about the product, and they were knowledgeable about it. They were very sociable, too, and it was an interesting experience. The installation took three hours.

We had a Stannah stairlift before and we purchased another one. In our second purchase, it was the same salesman we had several years ago. The installation crew was in and out in less than an hour. The stairlift is straight and seems to be the better machine and lift. It's for my wife who is disabled. She's able to get upstairs with no problem and to operate the stairlift by herself. I was concerned about her falling backwards down the stairs, but now, the anxiety is removed.

I wanted a Stannah stairlift to make going up the stairs easier and when I purchased from them, their consultant was good. But the installation went a little longer than what they anticipated. It was supposed to be in four hours but instead, it took about five hours. Other than that, I got the straight model and it fits good in my stairwell. So far, the quality is good, too.

Stannah's rep was the nicest person I ever met. He was very funny too. The installer was alright. The people who work for Stannah are all good. The straight stairlift I got is easy to use and it's very convenient too.

We went to the showroom and sampled the different chairlifts. The sales representative we dealt with was very thorough in explaining. Her expertise and knowledge were good. We went with the curved stairlift and it fits in well in the stairwell. The quality is good. The installers were very good and efficient. They also cleaned up and did a very a nice job. Overall, it is good, and the ease in going upstairs is my favorite feature.

The guys that came here were very, very good. They were here all day, and they really worked hard. They left it nice and clean. We got the really curvy stairlift and it is working fine. But I gotta get used to it because the one I had before was close to the wall, and this one has got those big pipes going up.

I have 15 stairs that go down from my kitchen to my basement, and I needed to carry things upstairs like groceries. When I come in with half a dozen bags that are full of heavy items, I can walk okay but I also have arthritis. And then I still have to go over to the sink and then put them all away. So, lugging things up the stairs became a real chore.

I asked a friend of mine what she picked ‘cause she was looking for something for her dad, and she said she heard about Stannah. I called another one and it was more of a sale type interview on the phone when I had questions about it versus caring about what the patient's needs are. I don’t like that. I'm glad to pay a little bit more and get the service that I want and know what will be 100% for my parents versus some sales pitch, and they're gonna give me $500 off but they could give a care about me. I called Stannah Tuesday, the woman came on Thursday and for some reason, she said, “It's gonna be maybe 10 days.” But she called and someone had canceled, and they came Friday morning.

They’ve got a great office staff and sales representative. And she was very simple, to the point. We're doing more things now since having the stairlift. It isn’t a chore to go downstairs and get something. We just hop aboard and go down. I’ve got it timed out, and it is 45 seconds each way. The company is very good. I called their office and they took care of the new card for the two payments.

One guy did the installation himself and seemed to do a good job. He didn't spend a lot of time explaining things to me but he went through the process and it enabled me to at least get things going and working for quite a while. However, it's been messing me up lately. It doesn't seem to do the right thing when it gets to the bottom of the stairs. I move it up with the handheld and it isn't working out right at all. It did start working again for about two weeks and I was happy with that. It is quite a nice thing to have if it's working right.

Our stairlift from Stannah looks like a very high-quality unit. It has got all the safety features, met my expectations when it arrived, and was professionally installed. It was the complete experience as it should be. However, the tube that carries all the weight did not need to have three supports, one at each end and one in the middle, to carry a 95-pound woman up the stairs. So, it has got some extra holes that I didn’t really need. But the book says do it this way, and that’s what they did. So, now, I’ve got more holes to patch up and it is what it is. I got it for my 95-year old mom and it has improved things. So, I've had a very good experience with Stannah.

My wife needed a stairlift and I could use it as well. Stannah has the best product and the best price. We had a very good experience during the sales visit, and we got a straight stairlift. It’s working fine for the couple of months that we've had it so far. I'm very satisfied.

Stannah was the only company that would come to my vicinity. Michelle, the girl who measured, did a great job and a group of guys brought out the stairlift quickly and installed it. It was raining and yucky out of my driveway's dirt that time so I got all kinds of tarps out of my truck trailer and put it down for them so they didn't have much to clean. Instead of them wiping their feet every time coming in, I covered everything with drop cloth so they didn't have to worry about it. We're very happy with the stairlift as much as we use them.

My husband falls a lot, so he needs the stairlift to go up the stairs. The installer was professional and he cleaned up. It took about four hours to complete. My husband likes the stairlift. It's good.

What a difference my stairlift has made, it was either sell our house we love or look at stairlift options. Our model was made in the UK because of the curves at both ends which took 5 weeks. We were most impressed with showroom and staff (was able to trial a model there). The installation staff were very helpful in explaining the workings. There are cheaper model with competitors but one of the main difference is the brackets are fitted close to the banister which leaves plenty of room for traffic on the stairs. Do not look anywhere else.

We've purchased a stairlift from them before in the first home. We got them again for a second home. They do a good job. Everything was good with the sales rep. The installation went well.

I did research on manufacturers and found that the track that the Bruno chairlift rides on was a little too heavy-duty. Then I saw photographs of the Stannah with the application that I wanted and decided to go with them. I also did a research on them and found that they've been in business for over 100 years. They used to make lifts and escalators in England. They're also local. I'm in Massachusetts and they have a place in Franklin.

My husband has a rare disease called Joseph Machado's disease and it's also a form of Ataxia. He was having a hard time going from our bedroom down to our family living area. We got a stairlift from Stannah for my peace of mind as I didn't want him taking a chance of falling down the stairs. I liked how they were a local company which made it a lot more convenient. Thus far, customer service has been great. Both the sales rep and the gentleman that came in to install it were very polite. They explained everything and made sure we were comfortable before leaving. My husband is liking the stairlift pretty well. He feels more safe.

We are happy and very satisfied with Stannah and I'm glad I called them. The information that we received during the inspection and the quotation that we were given convinced us to purchase two straight indoor units from them. The rep was very good. He understood exactly what we needed and his proposal addressed that. There was no pushing over higher expensive options that will probably not be required. The stairlift is easy to operate. They are not in the way and we can still maneuver with no problem. It's looking good as well and I'm impressed. The remote control features are nice to use. All in all, we are pleased with the product and it helps us in getting to do what we needed to do.

Our Stannah stairlift works so great. My wife had a stroke and we gotta get up and down the stairs. We got the Stannah, and I’m happy with it. The installation went fabulous as I was told it would for how long it was gonna take, and there were two guys, and it was exactly as I expected. They installed it in six hours. We're very pleased with the whole operation.

My wife fell and broke her hip back in October. She was in the hospital and then in rehab. She got home about 10 days ago and she needed a stairlift. We put in Stannah and the installation was excellent. I was lucky because I had an electrician do an electric outlet the Wednesday after I called the installer. The day after, the stairlift came along so everything worked perfectly. It's very expensive but it's fine.

My mother is 90 years old and she isn’t steady on her feet. She isn’t comfortable climbing up and down the stairs. We wanted a stairlift and we looked at Acorn. The salesman was fantastic, and we told them we’re gonna look at other vendors also. But they kept calling and calling, so it turned us off. Stannah has a good rating online and hopefully, they’re truthful. Their salesman was good as well, and even the installer who put it in.

Things were very good during my sales visit with Stannah. The installation happened at my in-laws' house and they finished earlier than they had estimated. The crew did a training session for my in-laws afterwards. I got a stairlift with three curves. There is one at the bottom, then it goes five steps up, then 12 steps. We then wrapped it around the bannister on the second floor so it again tucks away nicely from the master bedroom.

There's someone in my home that just had a stroke and he can't walk the stairs. I had Stannah stairlift installed at my home. Their sales rep was excellent and their installers were very good too. Quality-wise, the stairlift is okay. The only thing is I have a hospital bed coming in and I have to take off the top part of the chair. I need someone to call me and tell me how to do that. Other than that, I've had a very good overall experience.

Stannah's sales guy was very nice and their installation team did a good job. We like the smoothness of the stairlift we got and how it has removed the possibility of falls. It has removed a lot of doubt as well and is very simple to operate.

We spoke with Stannah and Acorn for stairlifts and Acorn was really aggressive. They made a lot of phone calls. After looking at comments about Acorn online, I saw that those did not seem good. I went with Stannah and Doug, their sales rep, as well as their techs were great. Doug spoke to us twice. He sent us an email with the design of the stairs and was very specific. He took our questions and gave us answers. He gave us options if we needed them.

I needed to have help going up the stairs. The sales visit with Stannah Stairlifts, whom I had talked to a long time ago, was very good. The installation team put the straight stairlift together right away and they showed me how it'll work. It fits fine and goes up and down and that's all I needed.

I went online and the way that Stannah’s website was set up, they seemed like an honest company. I read the reviews, and they were good on them as well. It was a smaller company and it looked like I would be getting more response from them if we had a problem, just from what people said on the reviews. The saleswoman was great. She came and talked to us, and it was a very tight staircase. My mom had had a bad fall and she’s blind, so we needed to be able to get her up and downstairs because she was moving in with me. The lady measured and said it would work. A few weeks later, they called and it was all made.

My mom needed a stairlift, and we were looking online and that’s where I got the price and estimate from Stannah. The rep was courteous and everything was fine. We got the straight indoor stairlift, and it works and fits pretty well. We like the going up feature, and it has the feet rest that comes down automatically. We have the used one, and it works fine even though it’s used. It has helped a lot with the things with my mom. One of her legs was amputated so the stairlift has been a big help for everybody.

My Stannah Stairlift has certainly been very good. There are a few times when it goes down, it’s not exactly smooth all the way down. But on the other hand, it certainly is not a cause for concern. It did a lot for helping my sciatica pain because I no longer have to use my left leg to go up the stairs, and that’s where the sciatica problem is.

I researched on the different companies and I had a few people come out from different companies but Stannah gave the best deal and the best equipment that I could see. It has come in so handy and we're very pleased with it. The people were fantastic and I'm very happy. The installer was very pleasant, professional and friendly. Micky, the one who came out to the house, was wonderful and very nice. We knew sometimes you gotta pay a little more to get the better product. So, we have no complaints. I've had no problems with the machine and we’re very satisfied.

We liked the appearance of the Stannah stairlift and the backing looked like a better product. The seat had a full back. Also, the weight arrangement seemed to be a better and heavier arrangement for us. Not that we’re heavy, but we thought that was a consideration in it. And we liked the all-around design. We read about Stannah in a report. We checked others and we decided on their product. We also received some kind of information, and there was a discount that was included in the advertisement. So, we presented that to the salesman we dealt with. He was very polite and very understanding.

Then, according to my wife, the installation team was very nice, courteous, and picked up everything. I got a straight stairlift that fits fine in our home and the quality is great and very nice. I use it every day and it's easy to use. So, my experience with Stannah has been great.

We got a straight stairlift from Stannah and the installation was fine. The installers worked hard. It was a very hot day and they were sweating. I gave them water and cookies and things like that to keep them going. They did take out all the old stuff. They didn’t leave any of the materials from the old one or any of the packing boxes for the new one. It was just we were concerned the stairs were left in a very bad condition, clean-wise. The installers asked me at some point for that little vacuum. I gave it to them. I as well gave them a dustpan and a brush.

My husband picked up the phone and Stannah was one of the providers that was there. The people who came for the sales visit were professional and timely. Then, we also had very nice interactions with the installation team. We got a straight stairlift and it fits well into our home. It's not cheap but it is working very well.

I have a straight stairlift installed by Stannah. The installation team was fine but the guy screwed the call button, which is the button that I push in order for the lift to come to me, right into the wall in a place he didn’t ask me where I wanted it. He shouldn’t have done that without asking me and it’s awful there because I have paintings up there. Anyway, he took it right down but I now have two holes to fill with stuff that would fill the holes. Also, I still don’t know why the stairlift can’t be made even or of what I think it should be. When I get out of the stairlift at the bottom of the stairs, the drop for my feet to get onto the floor below it is not what I'm comfortable with. I don’t have a full place to put my two feet so I have to land on my tippy-toes before I put the pressure on my whole foot. I already talked with Dough and he should have gotten on it last weekend. He said he was going to get back to me but I have not heard from him.

I've known about Stannah Stairlifts for quite a while and I learned that my neighbor got a couple. I figured that if it was good enough for him, it was good enough for me. I bought a straight stairlift that has a retractable foot on it. The representative who came was very thorough and cooperative. Also, the installer was very thorough, quiet, cooperative and cleaned up after himself. I've had the stairlift a couple of weeks and had to have the track extended on the upstairs side to get the lift high enough so I could get out comfortably. But aside from that, everything has been good.

I’m surprised that the Stannah stairlift is as sturdy as it is. I hate the fact that I have to have one, but it lets me get up and down the stairs much easier. Their sales rep explained all the options that were available and made good recommendations. He was knowledgeable and very nice. The installers were very thorough, neat and professional. My stairway can be a little wider, but that’s not the fault of the stairlift. It's a straight stairlift and it works the way it’s supposed to.

My brother and I are renting a Stannah stairlift on a six-month plan for our mom. The cost of renting was just about reasonable. They told me what I had to do on my end, so I had it ready for them. I put an outlet in the bottom of the stairs and adjusted the bottom platform. The installers just had to put the straight stairlift in at that point, which worked out good. We've had it for a month and it has good quality. There are some technical things that elderly people have a problem with. The seat has to be clicked all the way right or the left or the machine doesn't go, and my mom is trying to adjust to it. Also, it'd be good if the seat had tilt, but that would just be more technology for them to learn.

My mother can't get up our stairs anymore. We've seen the different advertisements on TV and in the newspaper about Stannah Stairlifts. I also made a few inquiries about it and the price, which was pretty good. And the plan they had was fine. So, we decided to purchase from them. Their sales rep was informative about everything and we ended up getting the straight stairlift. Any stairway was gonna be kind of thin when we'd be trying to walk up around it but the one that we got suits its purpose. I wish it was moved over a little bit, but you have to leave some room in the back. When it was installed, they finished in about four hours and and it went in smoothly. The railing had to be fastened and screwed into the stairs, then they put the chair in. It goes on the lift and they installed that, too. It has two remotes, one downstairs and one upstairs.

I saw an ad for Stannah and I called them. Their rep came and he explained to me how the stairlift worked. We got a straight one installed in the garage and it works fine. The installer took about two hours putting it in and he did a good job. I got it for my 98-year old mother who can't do stairs. I've also used it a few times, and so far, it's fine.

The two men worked right along and didn’t take long to get the job done. Before they left, they had me try it and showed me how it worked. I live in an apartment and there were 12 steps going up to get out and my legs were giving me a little problem. I had a curved stairlift installed, which was why it cost me so much. I'm glad that you could buy a used stairlift, which is a lot cheaper than buying a new one. It has been working fine and it is the best you could get.

The Stannah salesman was wonderful, and we really liked Derek the installer. We hope we have him again if he's in the area next year when he does the checkup. I love my stairlift. My stairs are straight and the lift goes straight up. I only went upstairs once since I got it 'cause I was trying to see if I could bring up a package, but I'm so thrilled I have it. I can manipulate it very well. They had a choice when you get to the top of the stairs to have manual or automatic, but the manual worked very well for me. I know how to deal with the touch, the installer explained it to me very well and I got that down pat. I'm very happy with it. Before I had it, when I got up the stairs, I would groan, be in pain and worry about my leg. Now I get up a few times, I just start laughing.

I liked Stannah's policy and that it’s family-run. It’s been around a long time too and they have a good warranty. During the sales visit, the salesman did a wonderful job. He convinced me on the stairlift and did fine when he came to install. He explained everything and did a great job explaining it. He fixed the door so that I could get up without locking myself out. It was a very easy transaction.

My mother is 87 years old. She had a fall and had multiple fractures so navigating the stairs was somewhat difficult for her. She has somewhat recovered, but the Stannah Stairlift is a big help for her. The sales representative was great. I had an appointment with him, he came by, met me, and had a quick and thorough estimate. The estimate was what was charged, and that all went well.

Two men did the installation and it was a long day. They took about 5 hours to install the straight stairlift. Now, my husband is able to go upstairs and he’s not on the ground level. I’m satisfied with the Stannah stairlift. It’s quiet, it works, it’s safe, and it looks good and sturdy. It’s wonderful, excellent, and it changed our lives.

My 98 yr old mom can't do the stairs that well anymore. I saw a Stannah Stairlifts advertisement at the papers and I tried them. The rep was very courteous. He went through everything with me in a understanding manner. I was able to understand what he was saying and helped me choose the right one for my stairs. I had an indoor straight stairlift installed and the installer was good. He was in and out in a couple minutes. I've had the stairlift for a month now and so far, it's okay. It's just what I needed. My mother uses her walker straight to the stairlift, and then back. I just wish the chair could turn right around a bit more for her when she reaches the stairs. It does turn but not enough. Still, I would recommend someone to Stannah Stairlifts.

My husband has frontal lobe dementia and Alzheimer’s, and he’s losing the mobility of his lower body. I like Stannah's customer service and I really like the salesperson. I called to make an appointment and he got back to me within inside of like half an hour. And he was working with my schedule, which was kinda crazy, and came here within just a couple of days afterwards, so he was very efficient. He was here in plenty of time when we made the appointment back. He was really knowledgeable and very thorough. Also, he answered all our questions and everything else.

I was afraid for my wife as well as myself going upstairs in our home. The Stannah Stairlift had better quality and the gentleman did a good job when he came here for the sales visit. Then I was surprised with the installation. It took the installers most of the day to do it and they also showed us how to use it. It's a straight stairlift and it's very neat and tidy. I'm pleased with the it and it makes my wife a lot safer going upstairs.

Talking with people, one particular friend of ours knew about Stannah and the showroom at Franklin. So, we decided to give them a call, and they came out. The fellow who came to our house was wonderful and he had more information than I could take in. It was very good. We learned a lot because we didn’t wanna buy a pig in a poke. The day after we saw him, we went up to the showroom in Franklin and I was able to test the stairlift. It was very easy to operate. As one gets older, they don’t want complicated things.

I had a stairlift provider come over, gave me an estimate and told me what they would do. But when Tony came, the salesperson from Stannah, he explained everything very well, and he gave me the rent with an option to buy. I thought that was very good for me and I didn’t want a new stairlift. I could also have a used one, which would cost me less because these stairlifts are expensive. I thought cost-wise and the way he explained everything. Also Stannah is a big company and I thought they could be trusted so I went with them.

My grandfather is ill so I considered purchasing a stairlift. Stannah's cost is good and they had their stairlift rented to us indefinitely so I ended up going with them. We had a straight stairlift installed and the installer did a great job. Everything was good and we've had the stairlift for a month now.

Meredith had a below-the-knee amputation, and she needed to get upstairs, and we liked that there was no pressure at Stannah to sign immediately. There were options that we wanted and the rep was very thorough in explaining things. The only downside was he didn’t tell us how much each option was gonna cost. We needed those options anyway, but we'd like to have known. There was just one person during installation and he was very nice and kind. He explained everything that he was doing and everything that we needed to do to maintain the stairlift and take care of it. And he was very cooperative in making some minor adjustments that fit our home. He was a pleasure.

My husband has a mobility problem and so we had two straight stairlifts put in. We used Stannah because they have one that retracts. The representative who came out was excellent and everybody who came were all great. The installers were in and out in one day. They were here for about 5 hours, did everything, and then they were gone. The stairlift fits well into the stairwell and we have no problems with quality. It's a little bigger than we thought but it's fine. It's retractable and it's out of our way, which is my favorite feature. Having the Stannah stairlift makes it a lot easier for my husband to go up and down the stairs.

I would like to start out by saying, Our Salesperson, Michelle, was simply wonderful. Stannah Stairlifts should be proud of this employee as she represents your company in the highest standard. Her work ethic is top notch. Here is my experience. My mother is 85 years old, my father has passed and was a retired Boston Police Officer. I come from a family of 7 kids. My mother and father bought our house in West Roxbury, MA. in 1961. She has lived in this house and raised 7 children since 1961. Lots of memories in this house for a parent 85 years old. I know she loves this house. What started to happen this past year, is she really began to struggle getting up the stairs. We have 10 stairs that get you to the second floor. My mother was getting so winded by the 6 stair and by the time she got to the 10th stair she was totally exhausted.

We had my mother coming for a few weeks this summer to the beach house and she is unable to manage stairs, so we needed to go from the first floor to the second floor bedroom. We had the curved stairlift installed and the quality seems great. The person on the phone from Stannah Stairlifts was very nice, knowledgeable and pleasant. During the sales visit, the person who came to do the measurements was also very nice. He wrote the contract. The installation team was excellent and amazing.

During the sales visit, there were two main parts. The first part was Stannah sent somebody out to do an assessment. The second part was they showed up and did the installation. The installation guy was great, and they were pretty forthcoming about everything. But the first guy they sent out for the assessment didn't go into detail enough as far as the things that needed to happen for this. He was supposed to make me ready for the guys that would come to install, and he should have known where the electricity was. It's an outdoor stairlift and when the guy showed up to install it, there was no hole for the electricity to come out because I wasn’t told to do that. And so, they had to come back a second time. I needed to drill a hole in the house so electricity could come outside where the stairlift is. That caused a delay in the installation. Overall though, the quality of the stairlift seems fine.

My wife had a stroke and needed to get back-and-forth from one floor to the next and get up. I'd seen Stannah advertised on television and it seemed that they do a good job, and so I looked at their work and to me, they did a job that I expected. The rep did what she told me she would do and I had a good experience with her. I have both a curved and straight stairlift, and the first installation was done in a day. The second one took some time because they had to take different measurements and then put it together. Overall my wife is enjoying the stairlifts. The good thing about it is they have a warranty on it and there is a buyback program, just in case I don’t need it anymore. I highly recommend them.

We purchased a stairlift for my mother and when she had looked at pictures, Stannah was the one she liked better. Theirs has a button where you push it and something happens. You don’t have to do it manually. It’s in the house and it’s straight ‘cause we go straight up the stairs. It works fine, though if they could improve one thing, it would be to have a mechanical twist. When you’re in the chair and you get to the top, you have to turn the chair manually. If you could do that electronically, that would be great. It was also a bit more expensive than the other one, but we went with it because it also holds heavier weight.

I have Parkinson's and although I could go up the stairs, I am having trouble coming down. Stannah's chair is ideal and I like the fact that they specialized in the chairlift. A sales rep came and he was a real gentleman. He explained the chair and it proved to be what he said. We have the straight type and it's perfect for my chairs. Since I got it, I don't have to worry about coming down the stairs. In the morning, I get on the chair and it brings me down. I'm pleased with what the chairlift that I have.

I liked the functionality of the Stannah Stairlift and how it had the features that I most wanted. Initially, I contacted Stannah through their website but then nobody answered me. I was persistent so I called and someone scheduled an appointment with me. But then, no one arrived and so I called again. That appointment was made during off hours and somehow it didn't get passed along to the salesperson. I made them aware that I took time off from work and they sent someone pretty quickly. Up until the installation, everything was not great. Though the sales rep was great and she came with the information, she never followed up with me. Nobody wants to be harassed by a salesperson but a follow-up call would have been helpful. It seemed like they didn't need my business.

My husband needed a stairlift ‘cause he was coming home from the hospital. I was back and forth between Stannah and the Acorn and then, a friend of mine told me that I should go with Stannah so that's why I did. We had an initial visit and the salesperson was unbelievable. He was fantastic and he was the reason why I went ahead and purchased the straight stairlift. The installation was seamless and was completed in five hours. The installer gave a demo of how it worked to make sure I was comfortable and I knew exactly how to do it. He made me sit in it and go up on it. All in all, I and my husband are very pleased with the stairlift. I would recommend Stannah if anybody asked me.

My husband has brain cancer and he has a problem going up the stairs. I rented two of the straight type stairlift from Stannah and they fit well at home. It gets my husband up and down the stairs. But the other day, it stopped working. I called customer support and the rep was not helpful at all. She didn't know the answers to any of the questions that I needed. She basically told me that I had to wait 24 to 48 hours. I asked her what I should do in the meantime with my husband and she told me to call 911. But that was the reason why I bought the stairs so I wouldn't have to call 911. The next day, the service guy wanted to charge me $250 and I told him I was not gonna pay him that. I was really upset and he got why I was so upset so he didn't charge me.

I had compared Stannah with Acorn and thought that it was a better deal for the dollar to go with the Stannah even though it was a couple of dollars more expensive. The benefits of doing business with them were worth the difference in the price and the quality, and how it looked and operated. Their sales rep was very good and he explained everything well. When I decided that I was gonna go with them, I tagged along with him, watching how they do the measurements with the computer.

My husband has heart issues and couldn’t get up the stairs to get into his bed. Our stairway is curved, very narrow and steep. It used to be a spiral staircase and the people that owned the house before took the spiral out and built a non-conforming set of stairs. It’s tough to walk up those stairs, even without handicap. Stannah Stairlifts was the only one that could get a stairlift in that stairway. All the others said they couldn’t do it.

Stannah I have three straight Savannah stairlifts (three levels). The installer left me with a tube of lubricant, and instructions to lubricate them every 3 to 6 months. He has since gone out of business. Without him there is no warranty. Nowhere in the manual he left, any online manuals that I can find, or in any of the Stannah literature can I find any instructions as to how or where to lubricate the lifts. Stannah referred me an elevator company, which wants 150 dollars per lift. Ridiculous! Can someone help me?

Stannah was very well-reviewed. My whole experience with them was very good. The people who sold and installed it were all very professional. The stairlift did exactly what we expected it would do. It was for a family member. It was to help my mom and give her a little bit of ease as she ages. It has done just what we really needed. The quality is very good too.

Stannah was the first one I called, and I figured they’re reliable. The rep was Michelle and she was very good. We were very impressed with her. There's a curve at the top of the stairs and the stairlift fits fine. It’s easy for me to get upstairs, and it's also easy for my husband because he only has one leg.

I had a stroke some years back and one of my legs has been getting harder and harder to maneuver. We have a two-story single-standing home and I do have to go up and down a set of stairs. This was getting increasingly dangerous. I’d had a couple of falls and I didn’t want any more. So, the last time I was in a rehab situation, my wife decided to go ahead and put in the stairlift from Stannah. I love it. It’s a godsend to me. It works very nicely and I highly recommend it.

Stannah Stairlifts is completely amazing, awesome, outstanding, and every positive word you could create in the English language. Three years ago, I had too much from Acorn Stairlift. They said they didn’t have a product that could be used on our stairs. That week, there was an ad in the Newton TAB for $200 off. I looked up online and saw that Stannah is a very old company. I figured I’d look up and see what the Google reviews were, and they were all very good.

We have a staircase with six steps. My mother-in-law is on a walker and she can’t do any steps on her own. Her bedroom and bathroom are downstairs, and being the main floor has the kitchen, she needed a staircase to get up and down. The stairlift makes it possible for her to be in the house by herself. Stannah had a good writeup when we googled it. The people who bought it said they were satisfied, didn’t have any problems with it, and Stannah's customer service was good.

My husband and I just bought a new place where everything is all on one floor but then to go to the basement, we have to use the stairs. We are getting older so we decided to get a stairlift. We called Stannah and it wouldn't take too long for them to come and do the job so we went with them. However, their installers put in the stairlift without telling us that it would have to go in the middle of the stairs. So, we had to get a larger door and have them move it further over ‘cause there was no room. Also, the stairlift stopped running after we had been using it for not even a month. Stannah's techs had to come back. Though that was disappointing, the stairlift is okay.

Stannah's sales rep had knowledge and was very handy. He was very helpful too. I went with them for a straight stairlift and their guys were very reliable. They were on time and they were precise. So far, I'm satisfied with my stairlift. It's perfectly sized and doesn't take too much space. It has been very good for the handicapped people to go up and down. Stannah's stairlift is of very good quality. Having it has been very convenient. I recommend it.

My husband had a toe amputated. He couldn't go up and down the stairs. My daughter-in-law's father had a Stannah Stairlift in his house and he liked it. I decided to go with them as well, bought a straight stairlift, and thus far, I've had a wonderful experience. The seller who came to sell it was fabulous. He did no pushing as there was no need to be aggressive. He explained everything perfectly. Thereafter, the person who installed the stairlift was very personable. The stairlift we have now fits nicely and it has been well worth every penny. Even though it's expensive, it's made like a rock. It's solid and we've had no problems with it at all.

We’re happy with our Stannah stairlift. We have a two-storey house and our bedroom’s in the second floor. My parents are elderly and have a handicap, so we needed that. We liked Stannah's warranty and their salesperson that came here was really professional. I told him that I saw the competitors and he explained their difference, that they had great reviews, and customer satisfaction. He was really good, straight up, and honest. He said that the others were probably giving us a cheaper price but he pointed out where other places were not satisfactory. He also explained the small lettering in other companies, which I was really grateful for. As soon as he showed us the good and the bad, we made the decision with Stannah and we didn’t wanna take more appraisals after that.

I have bad knees and I can't walk up my stairs so I decided to buy a stairlift. I talked to two other companies but Stannah gave me the best deal. Michele was my salesperson and she was very good. Jacob was the guy that put it in and he was very good too. He made sure that I felt comfortable going up and down. It was a good experience. I love my chairlift. It makes my life much easier. It's very comfortable and easy to use. You can't make a mistake. It's excellent and I enjoy it. Even my dog likes it so I put her on it once in a while. She's 13 years old and she comes up once in a while.

We decided to purchase a stairlift and that time, I talked to someone who purchased from Stannah Stairlift 22 years ago. He couldn't have raved more about Stannah so I decided to buy one from them. I gave her a deposit of $3,300 because our stairwell has a curvature and the cost was gonna be 13,300. She said it’d take two or three weeks to get the stairlift.

We were getting a stairlift for my Mother. She’s 91 years old and she's having trouble going up and down the stairs. We looked at three different stairlift companies. One of the company didn't have a showroom and Stannah did. We went to their showroom and they had all three stairlifts there. We got the chance to compare them and we liked Stannah's. We didn't even bother going to the third company anymore because they only had their lift and we couldn't compare with the other ones.

When we had our Stannah stairlift installed, the installers were timely. They showed up when they were supposed to, did a quick installation and were available to assist me with any need. They also gave me a hands-on demo and said if I needed to, I can call them. When they saw that I had an issue, although I didn't, they addressed it immediately. I would recommend though that when it goes to the top of the stairs, it should go further so a person getting off the chair should not feel them right at the edge of the step. When it pivots around, it should pivot a little bit more. The top of the steps is important and that would be helpful. Other than that, it's an excellent product. I have an elderly mother who needed to use the stairlift also, so the remote controls are a tremendous benefit.

The installation team of Stannah were very nice and polite. They were in and out. The installation went very fast and they cleaned up. They tested it, and it seemed to be fine. There was no issue with anything. We didn't have to take anything off the walls or anything like that. The installer said we have wider steps than most people, so he said that was really perfect for putting it in. It left enough room if somebody wants to walk up on the other side. I think my mother in-law will enjoy it once she gets out of the rehab.

We need a stairlift to live in our house. Our bathroom and bedroom are upstairs. We really felt that Stannah was a better product and they had better service. Our sales rep was terrific. He was really careful and he explained everything. He answered any questions we had and was available by phone. We got the Siena model which is the curved one. The installers were calm and friendly. They explained everything really carefully. There was no disruption about it. It was fine. With the stairlift, we don’t need to walk on a ton of stairs which is risky for us at this point. The stairlift is great. It's a little bumpy when it goes around the curve and the rail is kinda ugly but it works.

I called on a Tuesday and the reps were there within two days. Then, I asked if they could put it in right away and they were able to come. They came on Thursday and put it in the following Monday. Two gentlemen came and they were here for a couple of hours. One was an intern and the other gentleman was explaining everything to him. They also explained and showed us everything. They answered any questions that we had.

Stannah Stairlifts looked like a quality item when I did comparison shopping with the other popular brand, the Acorn. Stannah was much better-detailed and pleasant-looking than the Acorn. Every part was quality all the way through. Their rep also knows his business. I went and visited the showroom, and they were very cordial and nice. My wife and I picked out the model that we wanted, and the rest of it was all just making the business arrangements. The installers were also quite good. If you’re tired in your feet and you don’t wanna take those 15 stairs, you jump on the stair lift. I like it. It works out very well on my stairway, because I have an extra-wide stairway. Stannah is a nice option when you need it. They really work very well.

I needed a stairlift that would go from the second floor all the way to the bottom floor without stopping and doing stairs. Stannah gave me the best quote and I liked their ideas of how to do it. The stairlift looks very nice and it is very nice. The thing that stands out to us is the stairlift doesn’t stop at the place where I had stairs before and that I had to walk across a little area to the next stairs. The stairlift is there for me.

He was a gentleman. He came in and was good, nice and very polite. He knew his job and was neat. He did a good job. It was nice and sturdy, and the stairlift is a very nice thing. He spent time with me and my wife there, showing her how it is. She was all confused because she's getting old. She said she didn't want it but he told her that she would love it and she found out. She does love it now. She won't have to go crawling up the stairs and it's very convenient because she can get off easy with it. We can get out and into her bedroom. It does the job and it's very handy.

Stannah Stairlifts had gotten good reviews and that's why my husband went with it. It didn't hurt that there was a coupon in our Clipper magazine. The gentleman who explained about the stairlift was lovely and very personable. He was knowledgeable and easy going... the whole nine yards. My 93-year-old mother-in-law moved in with me and she dreaded going up and down the stairs. Now, she just pops on her stairlift and up she goes. The Stannah stairlift has been perfect. It seems well-made. We've had no issues with it. It works just fine and it's quite easy. It is well worth it.

I had been looking into elevators and people don't seem to think you want an elevator in a residential home. And I just wasn't having much luck with getting that done. So, went to Stannah which was easier though not as attractive. The stairlifts are not things of beauty but they serve a purpose, and that's what we had to go with. I would never choose to have one if I had a choice, but I didn't. We couldn't get the elevator and this was the only substitute that we were aware of.

We got a stairlift for my mother from Stannah. The sales visit was straightforward. It wasn't too pushy. The lift fits our stairs pretty well. But one thing my dad didn't like about it was that at the top it has the power turn. So, the chair turns at the top. But at the bottom, it doesn't turn. It's just flat. It would just be better if it did it at both. Other than that, the installation went pretty well. It just took one day.

It's not in the way and it's made very well. It's sturdy and it doesn't look chimsy. My mother-in-law likes how when you lift up the arm, everything goes up and down at one time. She's able to control it on her own, at her own pace, and she's overall happy with it.

Somebody came twice, showed us what the stairchair would look like, and gave us an estimate, and then we spoke with other providers. Stannah came back, gave us options that were a little cheaper, including a refurbished chair, and we chose that. After the salesperson made his proposal and we’d accepted, we got a call from Stannah. They wanted to impress upon us that the staircase is quite narrow and that they wanted to make sure that it would all work, which it had so far. When the installers came, we welcomed them and showed them where the stairchair was going to go, and then we had some appointments we had to get to and we were out of the house, so they were working on their own most of the time.

This will be the fourth time in 2 1/2 years that we had to have this model repair. The repairman has stated it is fixed each time, chairs works for about 5 months and then breaks again. Acorn is always on TV and they came over first but it was high pressure and the guy was weird. I didn't want him in the house. Plus they were pricey. Stannah is rarely on TV. They ran a commercial, I saw them so I decided to give them a call. The lady who came out was wonderful and very professional. I loved them. They were about $6,000 cheaper too. Both companies claimed to be high quality, but the Stannah lady was less pressure, very honest and very nice. She reminded me of myself when I used to be in sales. You either like it or you don't.

I needed a stairlift to be able to get from one level up to another level. So, I got a straight one from Stannah Stairlifts. The installation of the stairlift and everything else went fine. However, the customer service at the home base needs to be spiffed up as it was not that great. I had one person who came out and went over the whole installation with me before I decided whether to buy or not. And once I decided to buy it, I called them and told them I met with the individual and I was ready to buy. Then, they sent somebody else out here. It was not a good situation. Once the second person realized that he was following up on another person, he went with what the original person said. It could've been a disastrous situation and I just bought and he agreed to the terms of the first person. Nevertheless, the quality of my stairlift is of very good quality.

Since the stairlift was installed, my husband, who can't walk, can now go from the second to the first floor. And although the stairlift is expensive, it works well. It's also something that we needed so that's what we have.

Our orthopedic surgeon required some kind of help for my husband and we were even looking forward to a wheelchair that he can use in the living room, that he can guide himself instead of me pushing. I’m 87 and he’s 95 so we needed something and Stannah Stairlifts was the group I knew about. The man that came was wonderful. He was clear, patient, quick and prompt. He knew he was selling something, but he wasn’t overbearing. He was just perfect for his job. The two men that came to install it were very polite. I couldn’t ask for anything nicer. Stannah's service has been great. I haven’t had any need to have them come back and put little batteries in for the light or anything and it’s been wonderful for me. My husband’s the one who really needs it but I ride it up and down. I don’t have to carry the laundry up and down anymore so I get a little bit of relaxation.

I can’t walk very far so I needed a stairlift to exit the house to go to the doctor’s. I had Stannah for my wife about six years ago and it worked well then, so I went back to them. I called them up, ordered the stairlift and sent a check in. I had a straight one installed and it fits into our home just fine. However, with only one arm available, it was hard for me to get into it. I had to do an adaptation on a railing so I can get into it better.

Other than that, the quality of the chair is very good, Stannah Stairlifts is terrific and I highly recommend them.

Since having the Stannah stairlift installed, my husband can go up and down the stairs. He has MS and we decided to go with Stannah as they're local to us. My experience working with their sales rep was fine. I did a lot of research on the internet before we even spoke, so it was an easy sell. While the quality of the straight stairlift was fine, our doorcase overlapped on our staircase by about six inches, so it makes our staircase narrow, which would require us to widen our doorcase. Despite that issue, my husband likes the ease of getting in and out of the stairlift.

The fellow who came to install the Stannah stairlift was good and thorough. He had to come out from Franklin, MA and by our standards, it's a fairly long drive. But he came within 10 minutes of the time he said he was going to arrive, which I thought was good. This fellow was pleasant and knowledgeable as well. He showed me everything to do and showed me the trouble code is a little LED counter that tells you if there's a problem with it. We ran it up and down. He showed me all the features too.

Stannah's salesperson came and we were very happy with the presentation. We concluded that we wanted to get their stairlifts, called their customer service department and told them that we wanted to go forward with the order. Their installers were prompt and came as they said they would. They did a very thorough installation that was very neat and clean. Afterward, they gave us considerable instruction on how to operate the unit. The tech wasn't in any hurry to run away so we couldn't have been happier. Now we have two straight stairlifts from them. It looks bulletproof and I can recognize the quality. Our stairlifts are remarkable. They're easy to operate. If we want to bring things up or downstairs, we can put it on our lap. Having the Stannah stairlifts has been very convenient.

I used Stannah stairlift for my wife 10 years ago and it was very, very good. They are only one of the few companies that I called that's rent to buy which I find very convenient so I decided to purchase a stairlift from them at this point. My son did mostly the ordering and everything else. When I came home, it was already installed. So far, everything's fine. I like it very much. The button for the foot, the arms go up fine. However, it's a little slow. I also have to reach for the crossbelts underneath the arm, pull it across the legs to install it. I wish it was in the back that'd come across the shoulders so that it'd be easier to reach. Other than that, I have no complaints. We have it in our staircase and it fits perfectly. Once everything is folded up, we can get by. If anyone asks about a stairlift, I would recommend Stannah very, very highly. Their company is very good as well as their policy.

Both of my parents needed help getting up and down the stairs and Stannah Stairlifts has been great. I looked them up and they were extremely responsive. They were there on time, early, and provided everything they said they would. They explained to me my different options for ownership over the phone, versus leasing, versus new and old or refurbished, and answered all those questions that I've been pointing. The guy was there in 48 hours on time, sat down with me, checked the house up to make sure it could accommodate the stairlift. They showed me where everything would go in terms of the wires and plugs and was very comprehensive and said it would be installed in five days.

We went through pictures to discuss the various options available, pricing and how to order. We have the straight stairlift installed in our home. It goes up one side of stairs and it fits in fine. My wife likes the whole thing. The device has a light on the left arm of the chair and a little switch that energizes the chair at the moment. There is also a couple of power switch but there is no way to turn the light off.
