Stannah Stairlifts Reviews

The installer told me that it would take about five hours for the installation but it took way over that, about eight hours. But the quality of the stairlift's been good. I haven't had any issues with it. I originally bought the less expensive chair, but I found it too obtrusive in my small stairway. So then I upgraded to a folding chair. It's still obtrusive in the stairway. But we're dealing with it.

I talked with the installer briefly and he seemed knowledgeable and a nice kid. Seeing parts of the stairlift being installed right before my eyes, it appeared to be a quality system that he was putting in. I didn't see the final product other than through some pictures. But it sounds like it's fulfilling my tenant's need. She's enjoying it now being able to get from first floor to second floor.

My wife broke her leg about five years ago. We live in a two story cape so there was no way to get her upstairs. So I went online searching for stairlifts and Stannah was the better chair to buy so we purchased it. Subsequently, this summer, she tripped and fell and broke the same leg upstairs. So while she was able to get up and down through the house with a stairlift, she was unable to get from the landing to the garage floor to get into the car. We were just using a ramp system. So now that she's walking again, we decided to get a second chair from Stannah.

We like that Stannah is based locally and provides support if the stairlift breaks. I looked at another stairlift that’s comparable, but they're based out of Florida. My experience with the sales agent of Stannah was very pleasant. The sales agent was very nice and very informative. The installation guy was great too. They installed it in 24 hours. The stairlift fits in fine in the stairwell. It's reliable and the quality is very good. It hasn't given us any problems. My wife's comfortable on it, so that's an important thing.

I needed the stairlift so I could get out of the house. The installation was very nice. They finished in not even two hours. The stairlift is very nice too.

They asked us about the installation and where the stairlift was going to be. Then they came out and recommended the model that we need to install. We initially picked an older model but they recommended a new one because it saved more place. We got the straight model and my mother is okay with it. Sometimes, it tends to reset a little bit, which she was going to call the company at some point about that. She sends it down after going up for the night because there’s more room on the base of the staircase. But it wouldn’t come back up again. So it has to have somebody open the door and hit one of the buttons. Then it resets itself and it moves. It happened twice out of a month of operation now. But other than that, everything went smooth.

I was impressed with the rep of Stannah. He seemed like a very honest and very capable person. He didn't push. He didn't give me any pressure to buy, he just gave me the facts. The stairlift fits very well. The thing was very smooth for the first day or two. Then for some reason, it developed this shaking as I went up to certain parts of the stairs. It was not slipping, but it felt like it should be tighter. I'm just afraid that it might strip that track.

The sales visit from Stannah and the installation were very good. The only reason I had to call them was that we didn't get a payment book. Other than that, the quality of the stairlift has been good, so far. The straight stairlift fits all right into the stairwell. If you put the arms and chair up, the space fine. I don't have to go up and down steps all day long with it.

I wanted to get the steel rail for the Stannah Stairlift that is like an anodized color. I asked the installer and the salesperson if he had one piece of it as a sample because the white stanchions that hold the rail in place are unattractive. This is because I have a body shop that does car repairs and they can match the color to be able to get me paint so I can paint the white stanchions to blend in with the rail. The rail would be less pronounced as it disappears into brown very nicely whereas white kinda says "Here I am". Also, the stairlift takes away some of the exercise we need in this COVID problem. Still, it's almost like an amusement park right. But, instead of beep, beep, beep, it should have something more like a merry-go-round music to it. Other than that, we're very very happy with the stairlift. It goes up and down the way it's supposed to. The installer was very thorough and intent on making sure that everything functioned correctly and was in place. He did a very good job. I'd definitely recommend Stannah to a friend.

Stannah's rep knew their product and he wasn't pushy. The installer was a nice guy and he got ours installed very quickly. We like the latch thing coming down to the floor instead of having to go around the corner for the chair. We've had a very good experience with Stannah.

Originally, I was told that the installation would take four to five hours. Instead, it took six or seven. I purchased a chair with a power swivel but the gentleman who installed said there was an issue with the power swivel. The chair as is didn't have it. There is an appointment upcoming this Tuesday but I had to follow up on that. The company was not proactive in following up and letting me know a timetable when the power swivel could be installed. It took weeks to do that and I had to call them at least six times. Other than that, the installers were great. The stairlift has been working fine.

My husband has inability to use the stairs. We got a straight indoor stairlift from Stannah and it fits beautifully in our home. The installer was absolutely great. We like the ease with which it operates. The stairlift has enabled my husband to maintain his bedroom on the second floor. We had a very smooth experience with Stannah.

The sales visit and installation of our stairlift went fine. One guy came to install it and he took about three hours. He did a great job and it's very sturdy. When he was done, he showed me how it works. It's not in the way at all and we've been able to use it. We like the way it turns. When my mother gets up to the top of the step, she can lift the handle up, turn her body and it sets her right on the top landing. It also has a remote at the top and at the bottom which is very good. If the stairlift stays up, my mother forgets we can remotely bring it down also. It works very well.

Everything about Stannah's rep was professional and great. Also, we liked their installers very much. My mother has been very happy with her stairlift. It's easy, comfortable, and sturdy. She likes everything about it.

As far as we're concerned, there is no other stairlift. For years, we were saying, “We need to get a Stannah stairlift.” With COVID, my interaction with the sales rep was very brief. He wasn't here longer than five minutes and I already had my mind made up anyway, so there was no selling. Installation was seamless as well. I have a straight stairlift and I'm absolutely happy with it. It's perfect. It's made life easier too. It takes 51 seconds from the first floor to the second and that's all we needed. Stannah is a great company. They make sure that everything is to your liking from start to finish and they're very COVID-cautious. I have also recommended them to my friends, but unfortunately, they don't think they need it yet.

My wife got a disability, so we needed the stairlift together. I looked around and found Stannah. We called them, booked the installation, and we were done. Stannah installed the stairlift back in November. There is one thing that they didn't install, which is a door closer. The guy said he would be back, but it has been quite a few weeks. Other than that, the thing works fine. I’d recommend Stannah.

When the rep came, I was working and had to answer phone calls so I really rushed him. But he was wonderful about getting me the information in an abbreviated way. The fellow who came to install the four-stair lift was fabulous. He took his time, explained everything, and showed us how to work it. He answered every question we had and gave us resources if we had questions going forward. We love the stairlift. We also have an Acorn but I like the Stannah way better. I'm satisfied. It made things easier for us to access our whole home. We have an elevated living room, so with the stairlift, the woman who lives with us can now be inclusive and kind of participate in the things we all do. So it's a really nice feature to have that ability for her.

A friend of ours did some research. My wife asked her to do some research and it was good. And she read an article in the Daily News. So, Stannah's publicity is working. The install team was efficient, fast, left without leaving a mark around the work when found. So, very neat on the worksite too, which is always nice. The stairlift was expensive, but I couldn't make the stairs anymore. It's a good piece of equipment. However, I would like the stairlift to be a little faster. You crawl up the stairs on its seat. But it's very smooth. A couple of boys live upstairs. They love to ride it and play with it. I would recommend to anyone who needs it that that is a proper and appropriate help, and quiet, a pleasure to go up and go down. It's nice when things do what they are supposed to.

A friend of ours had already used Stannah. It's wonderful. The people who put it in were great, the stairlift works, and everything is great. We've had very good experience with the stairlift. My friend was absolutely right in doing so, and I’m very pleased.

I like the construction of the Stannah Stairlifts. Their rep presented the options to us and it was very professional. When I decided to go, they took really professional measurements to assure that when they built the rails, it would fit into my stairs. The people that did the installation were excellent. I have a height and distance restriction on my stairs. So the lift I've selected allows me to use the lift if I want to use it because I'm a big man. The stairlift is well constructed and fits our staircase. It's curved and it makes a 180 turn at the bottom of the stairs and a 90-degree turn at the top, runs along the railing. It’s an excellent product and I totally recommend it.

My family member recently came home after being hospitalized for some time. We wanted some assistance with her getting upstairs to her bathroom and her bedroom without the strain on her back. The salesperson gave me various options and made suggestions based on what was needed. He measured our area and gave us more suggestions on what he thought, and then I made a decision. The installation team was very professional. They knew the work, they came on time, and it seemed like a seamless installation. The guy gave a demonstration. He also gave me more information about me being able to call to get another demonstration and training for my family member so that she and her home aide would be able to utilize the product. The quality of the stairlift is very good. It's an asset and a great investment in the home.

It’s difficult for my mom to go up and down the stairs. We purchased a Stannah stairlift and the interaction with their sales rep was pretty good although somehow, we miscommunicated at one point. We wanted the lift to be able to park at a different location. But I didn't know the modular one does not allow the chair to be placed at a different location. Because of that, my dad had to go around it when he parked downstairs or upstairs, and sometimes it’s not convenient. Other than that, everything else works fine. We have the stairlift in the house and ours has a 90-degree bend. The stairlift works pretty well and the quality is fine. My mom is using it and she doesn't have any complaints so far.

We needed a stairlift for my mother who is 88 years old and had a knee replacement surgery. We wanted her to be able to go from her living room area to an upper floor where her bedroom was. We did a lot of research and Stannah had the best reviews. We went to their location here in Massachusetts and experienced it in their showroom. They came to the home to first look at the staircase that we wanted to put it on and gave us an estimate of the cost. When we decided we were going to install it, they came back to do measurements. Everything went very smoothly and timely. Everything they said happened when they said it would and how it would.

We had a very good sales rep when we got our chairlift. I have four herniated discs and my wife had multiple back surgeries. The chairlift has been wonderful and helps quite a bit. I thought it was a lot of money but it really was worth everything. We're happy to have it. We have a house that's huge and has three stories. We have stairs that go up to the second floor to our bedroom. The chairlift makes things so much easier. But I'm wondering if we can make the chairlift a little faster. It's like, “Plak-plak-plak” going up the stairs!

My husband broke his leg and his wrist and he couldn't make it up the steps so we're renting the stairlift for six months. The sales visit was fine and guy who installed was very good. Having the stairlift, I'm not concerned about my husband going up and down the steps. I can also put my heavy laundry on it and send it upstairs. It's easy to use and convenient. Our stairlift from Stannah is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. It's moving my wife from point A to point B and back again. I went on the internet, and I wasn't even sure because we were looking for something temporary. And I wasn't sure if there was such an animal, and we'd find out at least with Stannah, you can rent a staircase for a minimum of six months, which we did. We were happy with that. In fact, yesterday, for the first time, just to play it on the safe side, I shut the power off in fear of maybe during the night, we might lose power, and I didn't want to drain the battery. But we did not. I turned the switch on in the morning and my wife’s been using it with no problems at all.

I got a Stannah stairlift for my grandparents. I went online and somebody called, and I just scheduled for them to come out to give a quote. We got a straight stairlift. The installer took a very long time. He was there for about eight hours. Apparently they gave him the wrong equipment for the chair. He was a nice guy, but he was there for a long time. He did demonstrate how to work the lift.

They were very good during the installation and the stairlift is working good. It's helped the person who needs to get in and out of the house. If anyone has somebody who needs to be able to get up and down the stairs, this a good product to go with.

The experience with Stannah was good. The man that came the first time and the other one when I added the swing around were very nice. However, there's this little hump that happens once in a while and they said to not worry about it. The cost was 4,500 then another $500. I thought that other $500 would have made it easier for me to turn around but I have to still move my leg to get upstairs. For $500, it would have been better if it would have turned more to the left when you get to the top instead of me having to move my leg. That was the most difficult part and that was what I was disappointed in. I could have done it manually and I didn’t have to spend another $500. The guy explained it to me and I thought it was going to come all the way around then all I had to do was lift myself up.

The installation was good. The installer was very nice, clean and quiet. He did it quickly. We've used the stairlift quite a few times to make sure it works and it's absolutely fine. We're very happy with it. The design is very well thought out. There are a lot of clever little features in it that make a lot of sense. I also like the fact that it runs on batteries. The guy said it can do 20 or 30 cycles so even if your power's out for a couple of days, you could get up and down the stairs.

The salesperson was good though there was a little delay in the office. The installer was good too. He was very efficient and a pleasure to talk to. Everything was neatly and nicely done. The stairlift works well when I use it but I wish it was a little faster.

We had a stairlift in our previous house and we recently moved that's why we purchased another one. We decided on using Stannah and the sales representative was very good. The installation didn't go that great at first. The guy installed it too far away from the wall so the whole stairway was almost used up by the stairlift. You couldn't get by. But they did come back within a couple of days and fix it. I'm probably getting another one for the outside stairs.

The stairlift is good for somebody who is trying to help themselves. My patient gets in it and it's very user-friendly for her. She hasn’t had any complications with it. She needs the stairlift to go up and down the stairs, to move her better in her home. It fits her perfectly. There’s still room to maneuver for people like me that’s helping her. It’s wonderful and is the best option for her. When she’s a little lower on the energy side, we’re able to help her with the remote on the wall.

The commissioners at Stony Point Fire Department mentioned Stannah and we went with it. The rep was very nice, very quick and clean. You wouldn't have known anybody was in the house except for the device. He did mention where we wanted the cord and you couldn’t even tell there is a cord there. There was some kind of a device he put around the corner to shadow the cord. He was super and made my mother comfortable. It was a pleasure. My mother who is 98 loves everything about the stairlift. The first time she got on it, he showed her what to do and she was up and down in no time. Thanks to Stannah helping the elderly and working things out.

A friend had a stairlift and he recommended it to me. The sales guy handled it very well and they were perfect during the installation. I've only had the stairlift a month but it has been fantastic.

Stannah was substantially more expensive but their service after the sale got really high marks. The whole reason you buy a stairlift is so it works. If for some reason it doesn't, then you need someone to get out there and fix it. Their reviews were stellar. Acorn and a couple of the others didn't get great reviews on service that's why we picked Stannah.

I would recommend Stannah. The rep was very nice. We had an appointment and she came over and explained everything. The installers were very professional, very timely, and very thorough. They did an excellent job. I'm very happy with our Stannah stairlift. It works well. It's fast and easy. It's made it easy for my wife to go up and down the stairs.

They were good people. They answered my questions and came as expected. The guy was always responsive. He answered my questions even though I didn’t think it was always correct. He was probably correct in what he could provide and I didn't get the answer that I wanted always but I understood. He did answer me truthfully as he knew it. The price was a little higher than their competitors but the quality was as expected. It's been a tremendous help for me because of my legs. However, the stairlift barely fits in the stairwell. I also wish it would turn to a complete 90-degree angle when it reaches the top of the stairs. I've never gotten over paranoia of getting on it to come back down.

We got a stairlift because my wife cannot go up steps. Stannah did good during the sales and installation.

My father-in-law is 81 years old. We got an indoor stairlift from Stannah. The sales rep was great. Right now, the stairlift is just around the stairs and midway. But it works. The only thing is they could make some controls a little bit easier, and put some little directions on the thing itself instead of having to find a booklet. Because when I got home, my brother-in-law who installed it couldn't explain how to use it. So, I did the trial-and-error part. It would have been a hell of a lot easier if there was a little notation thing written on this side of it or something that you could just, “Oh, there it is. That's how you use it.”

My significant other and I are both in our late 60s and neither one of us is well-adapted to a flight of stairs. We couldn't go on a vacation this year because the cruises all got canceled so I bought a stairlift. I had four different companies picked out. The salesperson for Stannah was a sweetheart and I liked her. She did her job wonderfully. I spent half of my life in sales so I can appreciate a good salesperson. We got the straight stairlift and it works great. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The chair itself is a little cheesy but the mechanism seems fine. And although we had to make one service call, that was okay. They took care of it as promised. I’m a satisfied customer.

My wife and I live in a two-storey Cape Cod, and it’s getting more and more difficult to go to the basement or go up the stairs to retire for the day. We talked about getting a stairlift rather than move which will still allow us to remain in the home we love. Everything with Stannah Stairlifts worked from day one. The team during the installation was very good. They're a young man and an older man. They were very helpful and accommodating. Stannah Stairlifts is very good. I’d give them a high recommendation. I called and left a message and they promptly returned the call. My inquiry was about any way of having the stairlift go a little faster and the answer was, unfortunately, no. The stairlift seems a little slow but they have to conform to their safety requirements.

We had a company come in but we weren’t happy with their proposal with how things would be fitted. We heard of Stannah previously, so we decided to give them a shot. They came in, they did their assessments and it fitted more in line with what we were thinking would be needed. They were comparable prices as well. The reps were all very polite and professional. They listened to our needs and they made constructive suggestions. They had to do some additional measuring at one point. They double-checked everything and it all went smoothly, from the guy who came out to do the original first lot of measuring up to the guys coming in to do the final fit. We've managed to get it to fit into our house well because both our staircases are not a straight-run standard staircase.

Everything that Stannah Stairlifts said, they did. Purchasing was easy and the fellow who sold it to us installed it for 15 years before he started to sell, so he was very knowledgeable of the product. For the installation, they came on the day they said they were going to come and at that time, they sent three guys to install the stairlift. We got sort of the deluxe package and it took them three hours to install it. But it looks exactly like the drawing we saw, before they sent it over to be built. And it runs smoothly. We've had no problems with it and we like it.

l was getting out of breath going up the stairs so I decided to get a stairlift. I bought a stairlift from Stanna once before for a friend so he could go up to his bedroom. This time, we did it on the phone and they explained things very well. They had three levels, the cheap one, middle one, and the expensive one. I took the middle one. The installer's name was Eric and he was excellent. He taught me everything. I love the stairlift. It's straight. I thought the stairlift would be very awkward looking on the stairs, but it blends right in. Also, I really enjoy it. It seems to be well-built and very quiet.

I got a stairlift due to my father's needs. The sales rep from Stannah was a little misleading though. On the day of installation, we found out that a few things that he had said weren't exactly true. But the way he represented himself and the company were great. The installers did do a demonstration. I rode it. My mom rode it. They were great. Cost is always never what anybody like. But the quality of the chair, its purpose and how much it helps my father is above and beyond any cost. He likes that he can control it himself with that little handpiece. I would definitely recommend Stannah to anybody who's looking for something like that. I would tell them that the way that it's installed is great. It's not something that needs to be wired. It's comfortable. It's easy to use. It's simply understood. It comes with the remotes, too.

My partner had a stroke so we needed to have some help getting up the stairs. We went with Stannah because they were cheaper and their stairlift has the sleeker look to it. The sales guy was not so great. He was kind of vague about the timeline, what was gonna happen and how it was gonna happen. He also had the information wrong. He discouraged us from getting it because he didn't think it was gonna be possible to do when it was very possible. He also said that he couldn't do any of the stuff related to the permit guy. When we got the permit guy for the town, he said, "We usually go through the sales guy, not through you.” It was very confusing about who was supposed to get the permit and how that was supposed to happen.

I’ve had the Stannah stairlift for two or three weeks and I’ve already had three service calls on it which I’m not happy about. It stopped working at night. Another time, it stopped working. The man told me when he came that the second time, there was a fuse that wasn’t put out when it was put together at the factory. They got it fixed.

I have a heart condition and I have no real energy. We have 14 stairs and I do three at a time. When I get to the ninth step, I would be out of gas. So, I needed a stairlift. A friend of ours bought one from the sales rep we got it from and I asked if they got the 250 bucks for referring Stannah to us. That’s the only thing that the company said they were gonna do and didn’t. Two guys came for the installation and spent about a day. One did upstairs and the other did downstairs. It went along very well. I tend to buy the most expensive and two of them said that the most expensive chair wouldn't fit into my circumstances. So, we took their word for it and the chair we got was very adequate.

My mother has a two-storey house and I wanted to make sure she could stay in there. She's 87. It was a one-man job and the guy who came out was good. The stairlift is as advertised. It looks very nice and durable. It just costs a little bit more than I thought, but that's okay. Everything happened quickly and professionally. Stannah is a good company to deal with.

I found Stannah online ‘cause I looked at different ones. The salesman was very informative and friendly. He went straight to the whole process and what it would be like. He knew exactly what I could do, which was very helpful. It was good. I also liked the reviews they had compared to another one that I was considering, so I decided to go with Stannah. I have the straight one and it fits fine. The installer did a good job. He cleaned up afterwards too. The installer rode it a little bit so I could see. That was important 'cause I've never taken a ride on a stairlift and I was nervous about riding it for the first time. He was understanding about that.

Derek, the installer, was very nice. I got a stairlift to get up and down my stairs and it looks excellent. I only have a bathroom upstairs and that was one of the reasons why I decided to have it installed. A friend has had a stairlift for several years when she had to have a hip replacement and she recommended Stannah. It goes up and down. That’s the best.

I purchased a stairlift for my aunt who is just out of the hospital with a hip replacement, and she's 89. I called a couple of companies, and I liked the idea that Stannah is family owned and has been in business for over 100 years. When I spoke to them, I liked what they had to say about the warranty and one of the biggest things was that if we no longer needed the stairlift, we could get it prorated and they would take it out. Not that I plan to do that, but it was nice to know I could if I had to.

I was gonna write Stannah a thank you note, but we never got around to it. I've been having problems with my legs for a while. Going down was fine, but it took me a while to get upstairs. We got a stairlift and I love it. I love the fact that I go out more because when I come home, I know I don't have to climb those stairs. It's wonderful. I couldn't ask for anybody nicer or better than the person that came out to the house and talked about it as well.

My straight Stannah Stairlift has been excellent. It fits perfectly and has been a godsend thus far.

I looked up Stannah on the internet and then someone came out and made a full presentation. Then, the installers came and the installation was very professional. My wife was still in the hospital at the time and the installer had me ride the stairlift up and down. I understood how it actually worked. I had a problem with the chair and I called them in. The following day, they were here and repaired it. And there was no charge. The stairlift fits within the house very well and we're very happy with it. My wife is the one that uses it and it makes things a lot easier for her because she can get up and down the stairs. It's very easy to operate.

We found a "used" Stannah Stairlift on Craig's list for friends who desperately needed a stairlift. It appeared to be in good condition. My husband has installed at least 4 of a variety of stairlifts for friends with no problem. A contact assembly was broken. Thought we could just buy the replacement part. We called the USA Stannah # on the internet. We were told we couldn't buy parts. Had to call a local number for service. Called Syracuse Elevator and were told that if they didn't install it, they wouldn't service it. So all we need is a new contact assembly and we have no way to repair this. Would NEVER recommend Stannah Stairlifts to anyone.

A gentleman from Stannah Stairlifts came and he had all the information and pictures from the company. He examined our stairs and knew their product would work. Their offer was reasonable and I went with them. Their installer did a fine job installing our straight stairlift between our basement and the first floor. However, when we have a party, it's gonna be very difficult for a person passing drinks to get past the chair at the bottom of our stairs. I wish I could take that chair off and put it back on. Still, the seat can be used as a dumbwaiter. I can put stuff on the seat and send it down. Alternatively, I can carry stuff on my lap and ride the chairlift down as well. The quality of the stairlift is fine and it fits its purpose. This is a perfect product.

My daughter who helped me get my stairlift went to Stannah's factory and saw how the products were being made and how they worked. We went with Stannah and the rep we worked with was excellent. We got a straight chairlift from them and it fits very well. There's still room to walk up and down with the chairlift there. It's very convenient, efficient and it's nice and quiet.

Everything was perfect during Stannah's sales visit with us. Their installer did a very good job putting in the straight stairlift we got from them. The stairlift is of very good quality and the price was just right. It makes it easier for my 80-year-old mother.

My wife has Alzheimer's and her ability to walk and climb stairs is impaired. We looked for a way to help the situation and solicited ideas from two possible stairlift providers. I favored Stannah and the person who came to discuss what could be done presented me with a better plan and information which indicated a superior product. We went with them and their installer arrived on time. He put our curved stairlift in within a day and in a location that continues to give us access to our stairs. The remote control feature has been the most useful so far. Overall, the product is robust and reliable. We've had a positive experience with Stannah and they have been very helpful. The installation went smoothly and their product does as advertised.

My mom couldn't get up the stairs in her house. Then I had read a lot of good reviews about Stannah. The sales representative that came out was very good and nice. My mom likes everything about the stairlift. It's really working great and we love it.

My husband has not been outside the house for over a year because he couldn't get down the steps. He was a prisoner in our own home. We even had to cancel all the doctor appointments. Then COVID hit. I looked on the internet to try to find someone that could come to meet our needs. We had another company before that gave us an estimate for the stairlift, but we didn't follow through with it because it was very expensive, although we needed to have it done. Stannah Stairlifts is still very expensive. They came out and so far, have been meeting our needs. He's able to go to the doctors’ offices now. Although with COVID, there really isn't any place to go, but at least I can get him into the chair and down the steps, then transfer him from the stairlift into the wheelchair to get him to the vehicle, so that we can at least go for a ride and get some fresh air.

Stannah sent the person who’d do the estimate to the house. We just love the service, so we put the stairlift right away. The installation team was perfect. The gentlemen explained to me and my father everything and how everything worked. It has two curves and I like that feature. It’s been a big change for my father. That was the best company ever. It's a great service.

I have a really bad hip. The lady came and she was very thorough. She explained everything and we finished up in one sales call. I'd give her business card for people to call her. The installer knew what he was doing. He was in and out in a short period of time. I like that I don't have to walk upstairs with Stannah Stairlift. It is a little bit narrow, but that's not the stairlift’s fault. It works and we managed to store it where it’s out of the way.

We had a stairlift before and we purchased it used. We spent 200 bucks on it and we couldn't find anyone to come out and service it at that point. We decided to get a new one. So we shopped multiple vendors and Stannah was the one she picked. The sales rep knew what he was talking about and he was able to answer all the questions. So we were really, really satisfied. One guy did the installation but it went really well. Everything was installed in one afternoon.

My experience with using the stairlift has been good.

My mom was having problems getting up the stairs so we thought the stairlift would be a good idea. I was there when they installed it and they were very helpful. It was a very simple process. The installer was great. It took him a while, but he was very professional and polite. He wore a mask. He was very independent. He did what he had to do and there was no mess. Then he explained to me in detail how to use it, which was helpful. I would recommend them highly. I like the fact that it turns when you get to the top of the stairs because it makes it easier to get out.

The night before Valentine's Day, I managed to fall down a very steep flight of stairs and wound up with a broken neck. So, everybody made a decision that I was not gonna climb stairs anymore. I stayed in our first floor apartment where our niece is living while she goes to school. Then I moved back up to the second floor the day after the stairlift was installed. It fits into my new lifestyle very well. I was shown how to use it after they were done. My husband interacted with the installers and found it very satisfactory.

My mom is not able to go down the stairs so we decided to purchase a stairlift. The Stannah sales rep was very good and understandable. We had a straight indoor stairlift installed and it is smooth to ride and easy to use.

I did some research about chairlifts and I called a few places and got prices. It seems that other brands are made in other countries and I decided to go with Stannah. I bought a chair and they installed it right away. The person who came to install it was very well-trained, very knowledgeable, and showed us how to use it. We bought it in June and my wife used that chair for a month. Unfortunately, she passed away in July. But we were very happy with the few times that we used the chair to get to the hospital. It was solid and good with well-built instruments. I'm an engineer and I could see that it was a well-put chair. Also, it was very smooth and easy to operate with the platform for the feet.

I was looking around for a chairlift and I came across the Stannah name. I did a little research and they responded very well to me. Their sales reps were very accommodating and came to the house and talked to me, whereas some of the others just had me describe the situation and never came to the house. I got two straight stairlifts and they fit in nicely in my home. My wife isn't happy with them because she doesn't like the looks, but they're doing fine. When they were installed, the installers did their work promptly and got the job done. They demonstrated how to use it once and I got it right away. So far, my stairlifts are working well and I'm very happy. They do the job and that was what I needed. I feel a little older because I have to use one, but other than that, I have no problem.

My wife had just come back from the hospital, and she had breathing problems requiring oxygen. My legs are more or less out of order, and I found getting upstairs to be very difficult. We decided to get a stairlift. We liked Stannah's salesperson and we heard good recommendations about the company. The installation was very good and very quick. We got a straight stairlift. It works. The price was a bit high, but the quality is good.

One is outside, one goes from the first floor down into the sunken living room, and another goes from the first floor to the second floor. They've been wonderful and the cost is reasonable. But for some reason, I cannot find the two controls that control the outside stairlift.

He's a nice guy and very explicit and explained a lot of things. My interactions with him worked out very well.

And if I liked it, I could buy it. I just leased it for now. However, I wish I got a stairlift that went around the corner because she really can't get down the stairs. But the other issue is it doesn't lie flat on the top of the stairs. The chair hangs over the stairs. It should be level with the hallway and it's not. I called last week and I asked someone to call me back because I said it doesn't sit right at the top of the stairs. It's not on a flat surface for my mother to get on it. And then, I wish I got one that went around the corner, but I didn't. I got one just to go down the stairs. But from there, there are only three steps but I'm unable to get her down. I got the one that curved.

I’ve heard about Stannah from a family member, and I purchased it because my mother needed help getting up and down the stairs. The Stannah sales rep was great. The sales part was conducted virtually due to COVID, and he was very professional, helpful, and responsive. Everything went great during the installation. The guys who came to install it were on time. They were a pleasure to have in the home. Everything was done professionally and as quickly as possible. It was a big job because we had two stairlifts put in, and I've been nothing but happy with it. My mother loves the stairlift. She's thrilled to have them installed. We have a two and a half-year-old who sleeps on the top floor and does a lot of his playtime up on the top floor, and the stairlift means she can get up there without having to hesitate and wonder if she has to struggle up and down the stairs. It's pretty great.

Stannah Stairlifts was a class group. They were the first one that could fit us into an appointment. They saw the emergency that we had and fit us in as soon as they could. It was a great turnover. The sales representative was knowledgeable, thorough, and very pleasant. He couldn't have explained the stairlfit any more. When my father couldn't understand it, he explained it again. He was very patient. He should be rewarded somehow. We wanted to give him something, but he would not allow that and he would not take it. The stairlift fits in very well. It's nice and compact, and very comfortable and rugged. I'm not looking at any other stairlift. It's a good piece of equipment.

I was having trouble with one of my legs as I couldn't bend it and I couldn't get around. I had to find some way to get up and down the stairs. I went online and Stannah seemed to have a little bit of a higher rating than some of the other companies. They had a very good rep who explained everything really thoroughly. I was very pleased with him. I have the straight stairlift. It fits into the stairwell very well and it folds up. But if you leave it open, it kinda blocks the stairwell so you wouldn't be able to fall down the stairs. The stairlift serves its purpose of getting me up and down the stairs. It's very new, so I haven't had a long-time experience, but so far, I'm very pleased with it.

The Stannah stairlift is very comfortable. It's for my wife. The guy who installed it was very good and I'm happy with it. The sales representative was fine too. Everything was done efficiently and quickly.

I had a good presentation from the guy who came out. I looked at one other company, and I went with Stannah because it was a better presentation and a better product. The rep gave me a full walkthrough and showed and told me everything I needed to know. So I was pretty well-informed by the end of it. The installers were on time. They explained everything, walked me through it after it was installed and showed me how to use it.

So far, Stannah has been great. I got it for my mom. She had a hip surgery, so she can't walk up the stairs right now. Stannah's rep was very good, very professional, very straightforward and he told me everything I needed to know. The installers were hard at work and did their job well. They came on time, too. My dad has been using the stairlift and he's finally gotten to learn how to use it. I'm very satisfied, and it hopefully continues.

My children nagged me into getting a Stannah stairlift. The sales rep was wonderful. The installation went fine.I'm a satisfied customer. My Stannah stairlift makes going up and down the stairs not a problem. It's not tiring. It's easy.

He knew the product. He explained a lot. I don't grasp that quickly, but he explained it. And then, he gave me two options, I made a decision on one, and then I made the decision to purchase.

We liked the terms of the rental. We are renting the stairlift instead of buying it and it was a cost-effective rental. We love the stairlift. It came just in time as there was an emergency shortly after it was installed. It was very helpful in getting Brian down the stairs and quickly out the door. That was wonderful. The machine works beautifully. The people who installed it were professional. We're very pleased with it. We have wanted two more - one to the basement and when going to the garage. So, we will be an all-Stannah Stairlifts house.

I did a lot of research and Stannah Stairlifts finally came back, set up an appointment, came in and then did a fashionable, detailed presentation. And the fact that they service them, they’re right around the corner, and great reviews. I also liked the no-pressure from the salesperson. It was an awesome job. The salesperson used the iPad and it was great. He answered every question. It was perfect. My parents ended up going to the showroom at the recommendation of the salesperson just to look and sit on it and do whatever you wanted with it because they had the advantage of living not too far from it. As soon as we called to confirm it, again, they professionally got back to us timely, set up the appointment and then came in and installed the whole thing. There was nothing they could have done better.

Friends had used Stannah and they were pleased. We opted for it too and because I stay in my room, my husband was the one involved with the purchase and installation process and he was happy with all of that. The stairlift is excellent. It works and it does what I need it to do. I like that it turns so I get in facing one way then it turns to head down the stairs. This has all the features that I want.

I have a finished basement with a handicap shower and it had the washer dryer. The rest of my house is all on one floor. I thought if I could get a stairlift, I could be independent of my husband having to help me up and down the stairs and I can do some jobs while he wasn’t here. We got a rebuilt stairlift from Stannah. I had a wonderful sales rep. He was a nice young man who went over and above what he had to do. Installers put in the stairlift on a Wednesday and it looks perfect. I had one ride and it was great. I felt safe and it was comfortable. It fit all the criteria of the reason we got the stairlift. But on Thursday, I got rushed to the hospital and have been there ever since.

I broke my hip and I was not able to get up to my bedroom or to the shower upstairs. I interviewed several different stairlift providers and I liked Stannah. They came up with an idea that none of the others did so I was very pleased with them. Their rep was a very nice man who was very knowledgeable. I looked at Stannah's advertising and the stuff that was online about them. They had wonderful things advertised. I fell for all their advertising and decided to put them on. I figured their years of experience backed up my reasons for selecting them. I also figured they would get very experienced installers. That was what I was concerned about along with the reliability, dependability, and endurance of the work.

It's difficult to go up and down the stairs. I was looking for a stairlift that could fold up as much as possible so it would still be possible for other people to come up and down stairs without falling over a chair. The salesperson from Stannah was very nice and very knowledgeable. The installer did a fantastic job. He had clearly done it at least once before. It came out looking really nice. He did show how the stairlift works, too. The only thing is when it gets to the very bottom and that last track folds out and the chair goes over that, the body gets very wobbly.

We had a particular curved application and they are way more expensive on the straight applications. When I researched it, the curved applications were pretty close to one another. And with Stannah, they install. That was a big factor. Their price includes installation. The salesman who came out measured in a professional manner, and sat down with my wife and myself and ran us through the cost of various things. We ended up installing four stair shares - one from Stannah and three from another company. Stannah was not competitive with the other three. They were competitive with the curved one.

The sales visit was a good experience. We had a nice guy. We got the outdoor stairlift and it works out great. The guy who installed it did a good job. He cleaned up after himself.

My decision to purchase a Stannah stairlift was price-driven, and the sales rep that I dealt with was a disaster -- terrible installation, poor communication, the job was an unmitigated disaster. It cost my client a lot of money and aggravation. The stair came wrong. We were not given the full and proper shop drawings, so I don't know why they could not pull that together. We were told they could do, and then they couldn't do. It's workable but my client is incredibly unhappy.

We did research on stairlifts. We had a couple of different companies, Acorn, Stannah, and another come up. With Stannah, they had some options that other companies didn’t have. The biggest seller was the motorized foot rest that would go up. So that way my mother didn’t have to transition, even though the distance was only a couple inches. Still, when she stood up she was on the ground, she would be walking. My mom has MS and neuropathy and a couple different things so that was the biggest seller. I was there for the sales visit and it was professional, courteous and informative.

My dad needed a Stannah stairlift to go up and down the stairs. The salesman and the installation were great. Everything went very smoothly and the quality is great. I like that my dad can safely get up and down the stairs now.

The customer service rep I dealt with was very nice, and the person who installed it was wonderful. I ride the chair to my bed upstairs. This way, I can get up and down. Overall, the chair is wonderful.

Our Stannah stairlift does exactly what it should do and it functions properly. It is everything we thought plus a whole lot more. Out of all the ones that I researched, I'm glad that we went with this route. We researched them online and read about the reviews that other people were doing. Then some of the prices were a lot less and you also got what you pay for. When you start spending $10,000, you don’t want a piece of crap that is going to crap out on you, or you do not want to have issues with people doing all kinds of service calls. It boils down to you get what you pay for. Stannah is like the Cadillac, if not Lamborghini, of stairlifts.

When I Google searched, Stannah Stairlifts came up. I chose to go with them for how it worked on the website. They were also local. Everything is working well with my Stannah stairlift. The installation went fine. And the installers showed everything.

My Stannah Stairlift has been really useful and helpful and it works well. Getting it was a good decision. It's too expensive, but the quality is good. However it sticks out a little bit. I wish there was a way to make it more compact when it's not in use.

Stannah's reps were excellent, and we're very satisfied with their stairlift. It rides smoothly.

When Kelly broke her leg in three places, the fire department had a hard time getting her out because they couldn’t bring the stretcher, which wouldn’t go by the stairlift. They had to resort to putting her in the chair and moving her to the stretcher when she got outside, which caused her a good amount of pain. She ended up in the hospital in January and had the same problem. Then, a couple of weeks ago, she took a fall and had the same problem. I don’t know if the chair is too big for the stairs, but when I got it put in, I asked if the fire department was going to be able to get her out. I was told yes. Stannah told me that the legal was 20 inches. However, they should measure a stretcher at the fire department because 20 inches wasn’t even close to being a safe way to get her out.

We like out Stannah stairflift very much. It works smoothly and it never gives us any trouble. The remote works fine and it's just what we expected. It fits perfectly on our staircase, too. My wife loves it because we bought it for her -- she has Parkinson’s, so she needs that. The two guys came in and installed the whole thing in about three hours. They were very professional and we were very happy with their work. Overall, the stairlift helped us ease our life because my wife cannot walk up the steps, so she uses the chair. So, it makes both of our life less stressful.

Then, a week later, the first time there is a problem, you cannot remember what the guy told you -- It’s got nothing to do with anything except human nature.

I bought a Stannah Stairlift for my parents. The person from Stannah who came and briefed us on their product was fantastic. My parents felt most comfortable with him, so we went with their product. The installation went very well and their crew was very efficient. They did the job fairly quickly. My parents have both since passed and they didn't have the stairlift very long. Still, going with Stannah was a pleasant experience.

We called the person and they came to my friend's house. They looked at it and they recommended something. Then, we ended up getting Stannah Stairlifts and did not look at anybody else. The installation was excellent and I was amazed. The people were craftsmen, and everything had to be so precise. There were two parts, one came downstairs and the other came down the basement. The clearance of the door of the one down the basement is three to an inch, and they did an excellent job.

I liked the Stannah salesman that I dealt with and the showroom girls. The installation guys really knew what they were doing. I have a complicated staircase, but they managed to go around all the bends. I had gotten one of the new models that they just got in from England. And the stairlift would just take off and go upstairs by itself all of a sudden, A guy came over and was very nice, but I could tell that he didn't really believe me. We were sitting and talking on my sofa, when all of a sudden, the chair took off. He was able to film it and everybody was amazed. He came and put in new parts and it hasn't gone upstairs by itself at all.

We got a Stannah stairlift for my mother. She has problem walking. I looked at Acorn, AmeriGlide and others, but Stannah was close. They have an office in Franklin, so I like that. The home visit was very good. There was no high pressure and their rep was eager to answer all my questions. The straight stairlift we got is great. It seems very sturdy. It has a retractable track at the bottom, so it gets out of the way, and I really like that.

The stairlift has made it a lot easier for my father to be mobile and to remain in his house versus having to maybe go into some type of assisted living. The experience was as I expected.

We needed a stairlift in the family for somebody who was having trouble getting up the stairs. And because Stannah had the highest quality compared to other providers, I had it put in a year ago. It's a perfect product. It's attractive and you can tell that it's quality and it's safe. There are no loose parts. I had to have it removed, though, because the person who needed to use it was alone and couldn't operate it. I had no trouble getting the stairlift removed, and then, the installers came back and put it in when I needed it. They're a very good company. Their sales rep was excellent and the installation team was perfect. They were very courteous, neat, timely, knowledgeable and skilled.

The installer was from New Jersey and I'm in New York. With the stairlift, I like the convenience of not having to use the stairs when the person can’t go up and down stairs. Unfortunately, the person has been in the hospital and was only able to use it once. However, we use it. There are other family members who are not able to do the stairs too well. So, it seems to be working fine. And my mom, who is 90, is also having one installed.

In 2016, we had a Stannah chair installed in my house. At the time, we needed it because I broke my foot and we didn’t know how long I would be off of that. After the rental period was over, we decided to keep it in case we may need it. We like the style of it, and it is very comfortable for me. It looks good, too. We like the customer service as well. They take everything into consideration, and they were expedient in coming when we had to have ours repaired. So, are very happy with the overall experience. We recommended it to our friend, and he also likes the chair. He has Parkinson’s and it has been very hard for him to get in and out of chairs. He is a big guy, and this chair is higher and the arms are longer for him to hold onto. He was able to get in and out of it easier.

We’ve had Stannah Stairlifts put in the house twice before when my parents were sick. We're very familiar with them and so we knew to call the same people this time. The process was very easy and they made it very simple--came in, explained the whole thing, put in place, right on time with absolutely no problems. The stairlift is easy to use, it works well, and it’s out of the way as it could be. The only thing is that we probably need it for about six weeks. My husband is recovering from surgery so he can’t get up and down the stairs now but he's getting better all the time. The minimum they had was six months’ rental, which is $1,500, and so we had to do that.

I had an event with nerve damage and I couldn’t walk very well. I was home from rehabilitation, and I had nine steps I needed to do and it was not happening fast enough. So I figured I’d purchase this lift, and then move my progress to my bedroom. I saw what Stannah had to offer and I worked for it. They sent someone out to take a look at the job and talked to me about the product, and they were knowledgeable about it. They were very sociable, too, and it was an interesting experience. The installation took three hours.

We had a Stannah stairlift before and we purchased another one. In our second purchase, it was the same salesman we had several years ago. The installation crew was in and out in less than an hour. The stairlift is straight and seems to be the better machine and lift. It's for my wife who is disabled. She's able to get upstairs with no problem and to operate the stairlift by herself. I was concerned about her falling backwards down the stairs, but now, the anxiety is removed.

I wanted a Stannah stairlift to make going up the stairs easier and when I purchased from them, their consultant was good. But the installation went a little longer than what they anticipated. It was supposed to be in four hours but instead, it took about five hours. Other than that, I got the straight model and it fits good in my stairwell. So far, the quality is good, too.

Stannah's rep was the nicest person I ever met. He was very funny too. The installer was alright. The people who work for Stannah are all good. The straight stairlift I got is easy to use and it's very convenient too.

We went to the showroom and sampled the different chairlifts. The sales representative we dealt with was very thorough in explaining. Her expertise and knowledge were good. We went with the curved stairlift and it fits in well in the stairwell. The quality is good. The installers were very good and efficient. They also cleaned up and did a very a nice job. Overall, it is good, and the ease in going upstairs is my favorite feature.

The guys that came here were very, very good. They were here all day, and they really worked hard. They left it nice and clean. We got the really curvy stairlift and it is working fine. But I gotta get used to it because the one I had before was close to the wall, and this one has got those big pipes going up.

I have 15 stairs that go down from my kitchen to my basement, and I needed to carry things upstairs like groceries. When I come in with half a dozen bags that are full of heavy items, I can walk okay but I also have arthritis. And then I still have to go over to the sink and then put them all away. So, lugging things up the stairs became a real chore.

I asked a friend of mine what she picked ‘cause she was looking for something for her dad, and she said she heard about Stannah. I called another one and it was more of a sale type interview on the phone when I had questions about it versus caring about what the patient's needs are. I don’t like that. I'm glad to pay a little bit more and get the service that I want and know what will be 100% for my parents versus some sales pitch, and they're gonna give me $500 off but they could give a care about me. I called Stannah Tuesday, the woman came on Thursday and for some reason, she said, “It's gonna be maybe 10 days.” But she called and someone had canceled, and they came Friday morning.

They’ve got a great office staff and sales representative. And she was very simple, to the point. We're doing more things now since having the stairlift. It isn’t a chore to go downstairs and get something. We just hop aboard and go down. I’ve got it timed out, and it is 45 seconds each way. The company is very good. I called their office and they took care of the new card for the two payments.

One guy did the installation himself and seemed to do a good job. He didn't spend a lot of time explaining things to me but he went through the process and it enabled me to at least get things going and working for quite a while. However, it's been messing me up lately. It doesn't seem to do the right thing when it gets to the bottom of the stairs. I move it up with the handheld and it isn't working out right at all. It did start working again for about two weeks and I was happy with that. It is quite a nice thing to have if it's working right.

Our stairlift from Stannah looks like a very high-quality unit. It has got all the safety features, met my expectations when it arrived, and was professionally installed. It was the complete experience as it should be. However, the tube that carries all the weight did not need to have three supports, one at each end and one in the middle, to carry a 95-pound woman up the stairs. So, it has got some extra holes that I didn’t really need. But the book says do it this way, and that’s what they did. So, now, I’ve got more holes to patch up and it is what it is. I got it for my 95-year old mom and it has improved things. So, I've had a very good experience with Stannah.

My wife needed a stairlift and I could use it as well. Stannah has the best product and the best price. We had a very good experience during the sales visit, and we got a straight stairlift. It’s working fine for the couple of months that we've had it so far. I'm very satisfied.

Stannah was the only company that would come to my vicinity. Michelle, the girl who measured, did a great job and a group of guys brought out the stairlift quickly and installed it. It was raining and yucky out of my driveway's dirt that time so I got all kinds of tarps out of my truck trailer and put it down for them so they didn't have much to clean. Instead of them wiping their feet every time coming in, I covered everything with drop cloth so they didn't have to worry about it. We're very happy with the stairlift as much as we use them.

My husband falls a lot, so he needs the stairlift to go up the stairs. The installer was professional and he cleaned up. It took about four hours to complete. My husband likes the stairlift. It's good.

What a difference my stairlift has made, it was either sell our house we love or look at stairlift options. Our model was made in the UK because of the curves at both ends which took 5 weeks. We were most impressed with showroom and staff (was able to trial a model there). The installation staff were very helpful in explaining the workings. There are cheaper model with competitors but one of the main difference is the brackets are fitted close to the banister which leaves plenty of room for traffic on the stairs. Do not look anywhere else.

We've purchased a stairlift from them before in the first home. We got them again for a second home. They do a good job. Everything was good with the sales rep. The installation went well.

I needed a stairlift and since Stannah is in the next town, I purchased from them. I got the straight one and when I bought it, the sales rep was good. The installers were good as well and so far, the stairlift helps take me up and down the stairs.

I did research on manufacturers and found that the track that the Bruno chairlift rides on was a little too heavy-duty. Then I saw photographs of the Stannah with the application that I wanted and decided to go with them. I also did a research on them and found that they've been in business for over 100 years. They used to make lifts and escalators in England. They're also local. I'm in Massachusetts and they have a place in Franklin.

My husband has a rare disease called Joseph Machado's disease and it's also a form of Ataxia. He was having a hard time going from our bedroom down to our family living area. We got a stairlift from Stannah for my peace of mind as I didn't want him taking a chance of falling down the stairs. I liked how they were a local company which made it a lot more convenient. Thus far, customer service has been great. Both the sales rep and the gentleman that came in to install it were very polite. They explained everything and made sure we were comfortable before leaving. My husband is liking the stairlift pretty well. He feels more safe.

We are happy and very satisfied with Stannah and I'm glad I called them. The information that we received during the inspection and the quotation that we were given convinced us to purchase two straight indoor units from them. The rep was very good. He understood exactly what we needed and his proposal addressed that. There was no pushing over higher expensive options that will probably not be required. The stairlift is easy to operate. They are not in the way and we can still maneuver with no problem. It's looking good as well and I'm impressed. The remote control features are nice to use. All in all, we are pleased with the product and it helps us in getting to do what we needed to do.

Our Stannah stairlift works so great. My wife had a stroke and we gotta get up and down the stairs. We got the Stannah, and I’m happy with it. The installation went fabulous as I was told it would for how long it was gonna take, and there were two guys, and it was exactly as I expected. They installed it in six hours. We're very pleased with the whole operation.

My wife fell and broke her hip back in October. She was in the hospital and then in rehab. She got home about 10 days ago and she needed a stairlift. We put in Stannah and the installation was excellent. I was lucky because I had an electrician do an electric outlet the Wednesday after I called the installer. The day after, the stairlift came along so everything worked perfectly. It's very expensive but it's fine.

My mother is 90 years old and she isn’t steady on her feet. She isn’t comfortable climbing up and down the stairs. We wanted a stairlift and we looked at Acorn. The salesman was fantastic, and we told them we’re gonna look at other vendors also. But they kept calling and calling, so it turned us off. Stannah has a good rating online and hopefully, they’re truthful. Their salesman was good as well, and even the installer who put it in.

Things were very good during my sales visit with Stannah. The installation happened at my in-laws' house and they finished earlier than they had estimated. The crew did a training session for my in-laws afterwards. I got a stairlift with three curves. There is one at the bottom, then it goes five steps up, then 12 steps. We then wrapped it around the bannister on the second floor so it again tucks away nicely from the master bedroom.

There's someone in my home that just had a stroke and he can't walk the stairs. I had Stannah stairlift installed at my home. Their sales rep was excellent and their installers were very good too. Quality-wise, the stairlift is okay. The only thing is I have a hospital bed coming in and I have to take off the top part of the chair. I need someone to call me and tell me how to do that. Other than that, I've had a very good overall experience.

Stannah's sales guy was very nice and their installation team did a good job. We like the smoothness of the stairlift we got and how it has removed the possibility of falls. It has removed a lot of doubt as well and is very simple to operate.

We spoke with Stannah and Acorn for stairlifts and Acorn was really aggressive. They made a lot of phone calls. After looking at comments about Acorn online, I saw that those did not seem good. I went with Stannah and Doug, their sales rep, as well as their techs were great. Doug spoke to us twice. He sent us an email with the design of the stairs and was very specific. He took our questions and gave us answers. He gave us options if we needed them.

I needed to have help going up the stairs. The sales visit with Stannah Stairlifts, whom I had talked to a long time ago, was very good. The installation team put the straight stairlift together right away and they showed me how it'll work. It fits fine and goes up and down and that's all I needed.

I went online and the way that Stannah’s website was set up, they seemed like an honest company. I read the reviews, and they were good on them as well. It was a smaller company and it looked like I would be getting more response from them if we had a problem, just from what people said on the reviews. The saleswoman was great. She came and talked to us, and it was a very tight staircase. My mom had had a bad fall and she’s blind, so we needed to be able to get her up and downstairs because she was moving in with me. The lady measured and said it would work. A few weeks later, they called and it was all made.
