I had an old stairlift that was replaced with a new one from Stannah. I was given the phone number to call and order a new one, and my interactions with the salesperson were very good. They were very much gentlemanly.

I'm immobile and I needed help going upstairs, so I needed a stairlift and Stannah was the highest quality stairlift.

The salesman from Stannah was really helpful, no high pressure. He said that even if we went to somebody else, he'd answer questions. We had to have two installers because we have weird stairs and it was catching on a stair. And so, they had another repairman out immediately so they could go over that last stair. The quality is good so far.

Our experience with Stannah has been great. I chose them for their customer service, when they came out right away and looked at it. I got the curved stairlift and the fit is incredible. It’s a lifesaver.

My 87-year old father who hurt his leg needed to get up and down the stairs. I heard some good things about Stannah. I googled them and they had the best ratings. During the initial sales visit, the rep was very helpful and straightforward. From the time of initial call to a first appointment was a matter of two days. And then from time of signing an agreement to install was another one week. Overall, they did very good.

My sales rep was great, loved him so much and the people that came in and installed it were wonderful. The Stannah stairlift worked well. We rented a used model for my nephew. He was diagnosed with cancer at 25 and that was one of the reasons why we needed it 'cause he couldn't really get up the stairs on his own. I just didn't really care for the lady that was dealing with the finances because there was a little bit of mishap on the payment, so that wasn’t a pleasant experience. But Stannah was great. We liked the stairlift. We paid for six months, but we used it for one month and then I had them come and take it out before I got home from San Francisco. It didn't leave any marks on the floor like they said, so that was good. Under the circumstances, because cancer is extremely devastating financially, emotionally, and physically, it would have been really nice if they had sent us some of the money back ‘cause it was an expensive rental.

Stannah Stairlifts had a real good rental. We are just renting the one we have now with the option to buy if we need it longer. The price we pay for rental will go towards the purchase, so I thought that was great. Their services were really good. I like it.

After searching all the manufacturers, Stannah was the only one who had a motorized seat that could turn the chair in the direction I needed it to at the bottom. It was a mechanical advantage that they had.

We had to have one stairlift, so the first one that came to mind was Stannah. My wife uses it, and she loves it. It’s a great help. The salesperson was very thorough, went through every detail, and very professional. The installation took one day. It’s a quick service, and there’s no sloppiness. There were two very nice gentlemen.

My elderly parents are experiencing declining mobility that’s why I purchased a stairlift from Stannah . My father barely uses it, but the company has been great. The salesperson was supportive, informative, and professional.

We chose a straight stair lift from Stannah because they were one of the only ones that can work with our very narrow stairwell. I actually left a review on their website the day after it was installed, which I never usually do. Everything went extremely well, according to plan and right on time.

She answered every question that we had. The installers came in, noted where the electricity was, made some slight modifications, and I had it up in about three hours. The stairlift works very well, and we particularly liked its greater strength, that it’ll move somebody who's 300 pounds. It's everything we wanted, and it feels like it's going to last much longer than my wife and me. We've recommended it to another family.

With Stannah, the experience was wonderful from beginning to end. From the person who answered the phone to make the appointment to the salesman who came to measure everything so precisely so that everything fit. Even at the bottom step where there’s hardly any room, there's a manner in which it was installed so that they don't trip on anything as they reach the bottom.

We went with Stannah because it is local. We got a straight stairlift. Their sales rep was well informed and made the whole process very simple. The installation was easy and the quality is very good. They are professional.

The experience with Stannah has been fine. The sales rep had been here a couple of years ago. This time, all we had to do was order the product. The installation was simple. The guy came over and was done with no problem.

The Stannah stairlift is definitely being used by my mother and my daughter also enjoy riding it. The installation team from Stannah was great. It only needed one guy and he was here for two to three hours on the outside. The lift is very well made and has been working flawlessly since then. So, we purchased a stairlift so he could go upstairs. The sales girl was lovely. She came out here, showed us a pamphlet, told us all about it and measured the stairs. Two weeks later, they came in to put the chairlift in. Everything went smoothly and the installer did a wonderful job. I got two straight stairlifts and they’ve been working ever since. It gets my husband up the stairs safely. Having it impacted us greatly so we didn’t have to move out of our house. I have recommended them to another friend of mine.

The Stannah stairlift works very well and I'm very happy to have it. I like that it gets me up the stairs to the bedroom when I have to go to bed at night and when I come down in the morning. I don't think anybody could actually go down with me ‘cause there's not quite enough room. There's enough room that it’s not touching the other wall, but there is not really room for someone to walk down with me. They'd have to come down behind me or in front of me. But it has made it possible for me to do things now, whereas before I wouldn't have been able to.

The salesperson took measurements of my wife and I sitting in a chair. Then, he took measurements of the stairs without the chairs there. That’s when we determined that part of the wall needed to be removed from the second set of stairs because there wouldn’t have been room to sit and have our knees in front.

We had a good experience with Stannah. We liked their presentation and the type of chairlift they offered. We chose the lift that goes up and down and it it only took a couple of hours to install it. The lift fits well in my home and I love using it every day because I had spinal surgery.

I had a very good experience with Stannah. The price of the product was a little high, but the people were very professional and responsive. They were able to do a custom lift because the staircase was a little narrow. The installation went very smoothly. He knew what he was doing and answered my questions. I like that the chair swivels at the top and then the opposite way at the bottom.

And then we went with a straight stairlift that they installed efficiently. And the quality of it is okay. I haven't had any problem with it. I just wish that I had gotten the swivel chair.

The AA Office recommended Stannah Stairlifts. The salesperson who came out was very nice and took measurements, but the stairlift hasn’t been installed yet because the first one they brought out didn’t fit. They couldn't put it together, so they had to go and have somebody come back out and remeasure. I've been dealing with this now for a couple of months. I have to call in every time for updates because they never call me. Last they said that it’s going to be here on the 16th because it’s from the UK, so I’m waiting.

They scheduled the installation very shortly after the decision was made. They gave us a window, called before the window shortly when they were on their way over, and the installer came in. He was clear, clean, and proficient. The stairlift is exactly as designed. It functions perfectly and the performance is excellent. It's helped tremendously. It's given my parent more flexibility in the house. It's allowing her to stay in the house. It took her about a week to get used to it, but it's exactly as advertised.

My parents had Stannah install a stairlift while my father was in the hospital. Unfortunately, he never made it back home. We were past the refund period when he died but Stannah made an exception, removed the stairlift, and issued a full refund. They showed us compassion and grace in a moment when it really mattered for us and we are immensely thankful.

He was the first of three quotes we got, and we're happy that we selected Stannah. The price was very competitive as well. The 2 installers who came were very professional. Stannah promised me that they would create the stairlift in six weeks and they did it. The guys who installed all this equipment were very nice. They were polite and also asked questions how to do it better. So I was completely satisfied with them. The equipment that they installed works very fine. I have no malfunctions. So I only have excellent experience with this company.

I had a very good experience with Stannah. The stairlift was for my elderly mother. The installers came in and did a great job installing it. Unfortunately, she passed away before she could actually ever make good use of it. Then, they came and took it away equally easily and they did not charge me. I would recommend anybody to use Stannah Stairlifts.

Stannah seemed very reliable and the people were happy. They were pretty accurate with the installation. It was about a four-hour time period. The guy did his work professionally and everything worked smoothly. So I was content with it. The quality of the stairlift is good. We were satisfied. Stannah was easy to work with. The product seems reliable. So we're content. It was a fair price for a good product. I would recommend them to others.

I called Stannah and asked them to have someone come out, look at my stairs, and give me a price. So, that was what they did. I then asked them when they could do it and the installation was relatively quick. It took the installer three hours and it was done. It's a pretty straight stairway with no curves, so the stairlift is straight as well. From what I've seen and when my wife uses it, it seems to be a good quality piece of equipment. Their price also seems to be competitive with everybody else in the market. I would tell my friends that if they need a stairlift, they should call Stannah.

The Stannah sales rep was very nice. He explained everything. The person who came in to install it was great and explained everything. My husband wasn't home when they did it because he was in rehab. He only used it for two days and he was back in the hospital. He hasn't really used it very much, but it will be a big help. The installer was very good. Took a long time, but he knew what he was doing and he was clean and no-nonsense. Very professional. In the beginning, the customer service was good. But I have tried to contact them to send me a receipt and I haven't gotten the receipt that I paid for it.

I love my stairlift. I have felt comfortable and secure ever since the day it was put in. It's a well-built chair.

The stairlift installation was fine. Then came the maintenance. I asked for a maintenance, which they advise you to do. That cost $310. Which was fine. Little did I know that the technician would be here until 8:45 at night, when he had arrived in the afternoon. Then he went home with all the insides hanging out and was not fixed until nearly noon the following day. I live by myself, my caregiver had gone home. I could not get up to bed or get my medication. Stannah still made me pay for the $310 for maintenance, even though the tech admitted it was his fault that he broke the part. When I asked to talk to the General Manager Richard **. She said she was not allowed to give me his number. Not a very good way to run a business.

Stannah was able to come out for us and installed the product when we needed it. The sales visit was very good. The guy was very polite and explained everything to us. And then the following week, a different guy came and installed it. He was very nice and polite and did a good job. He also cleaned everything up. They were prompt and on time on both visits. We've been very satisfied with the stairlift. My husband just said to me today, "You need to call them" because yesterday, he got part way up, but it wouldn't move. So, it was something in the button. He played around and then it went back down. Then it happened to him again today.

I liked that the Stannah Stairlift was quieter than most stairlifts and they had a special where you would give them so much money and you had five months to pay it off. It also seemed to be a lot better. The gear mechanism was behind the unit instead of in the front. My experience with their sales rep was very good. The gentleman who came here was very knowledgeable. We took a ride to their office in Franklin to try one out. For the width of the stairs, it's good. The stairlift itself is ideal in size. The only disadvantage is if you wanted to walk downstairs, you couldn't walk downstairs. If you had to go down the cellar, you had to use the stairlift because there was not enough room for your body to go past it. What they should do is they should add enough room where it can go around the corner. But other than that, we're very happy with it. It’s very sturdy for the money.

So far, my experience with Stannah has been good. They seemed the most professional. I tried two other companies, and I liked everything about Stannah more. I was happy with them, and the rep was excellent. He showed me stuff and took his time. I went by the way the stairlift looked and I was told that it's great quality. They've been in business for years. The stairlift is gonna be installed next week, and I'm hoping that when it comes in, it's gonna be what I expect. This is gonna be a game-changer. It's for my dad, and he needs this.

The lady whose house the stairlift was installed in loves it. She uses it to put packages on there. She needs someone to help her move her husband from the transporter chair that she moves him around with to the stairlift but aside from that, everything is working beautifully. It's a wonderful product. This house has 13 stairs and they're quite separate. It is a job to walk up and down the stairs. With the Stannah stairlift, it is very simple to get that little piece to bring down the stairlift and sit on it. It's a little wobbly, but you can put that belt on the person on it and move them up the stairs easily without a lot of rumbling or shaking. It's a smooth climb. They don't feel afraid in any way.

It's been horrible with Stannah. I paid $2,600 for a stairlift which I have not received. My mother cannot get out of the house until the stairlift comes. We did this in September but nobody has shown up. I heard the installer went out on medical leave, but he is now not returning calls. Somebody named Olympia was gonna call me back. She said she had to get somebody from Philadelphia or New Jersey to come to Virginia to install the stairlift. But my dad's 100th birthday is coming up. We have family flying in from all over and we do need to get them out of the house or we can't celebrate his 100 years.

I went to the demo place in Orange County, California, and looked at the stairlifts. I worked well with the sales rep, Tyler. He was responsive and did not bug me unnecessarily. I also liked the way the stairlift was mounted to the wall. It seemed to pick up the most amount of space and giving the most leg room.

The sales guy with Stannah was knowledgeable, and the sales visit was good. The installation went smoothly and the stairlift works well. My brother-in-law decided to rent it at the last minute, and Stannah was very accommodating to change our purchase to a rental so that he could try it for six months and see how his wife did. So far, so good.

Over a period of time since it was installed, my wife has gotten used to it and she's comfortable with it. It's easy to operate. It works well for this purpose, because it's very difficult for her to walk up and downstairs. It's not that difficult to get her to sit in the chair. She enjoys the ride. For somebody with dementia who has difficulty going up and down the stairs, it ended up working well.

Tony, the sales rep with Stannah, was fantastic. He came in, made my dad feel comfortable and showed him everything. My dad was an architect and Tony was able to break it down into my dad's terms, showed him the options and how quick the installation would be. Then the installer came out and told us it would take four hours to have the installation done. He gave a brief synopsis of what it would be and how it would look. He showed my dad how everything operated on it which was quick and easy. The stairlift fits perfectly in the stairwell. It’s simple for my dad to pick up how to use it. It's made it much easier for him to get up and down the stairs. He's safer and healthier, and he's not exerting as much energy so it's been great.

I had the stairlift for almost three weeks and it fell apart. The piece on it with lift bent. A guy came and fixed it for me a couple of days ago. So far, it's working good, except the pieces keep coming loose on it because they're just popped in. I'm not happy with the stairlift but I need it because my husband and I both are handicapped and I'm on a second-story house. The tech who installed the stairlift and the one who came to repair it were both very nice. But I don’t like the quality of the stairlift and I'm not gonna get anything better than this. But for my money that I paid for it, I thought I'd get a better product. I won't be purchasing another one from Stannah if I need it.

We did research about stairlifts and Stannah was local so we decided to go with that route. They came over and did an estimate beforehand. Everything was straightforward and upfront, and that was why we went with them. They did a really good job because I ended up buying. The rep explained everything, what each different option did. We had an issue with them not installing the swivel properly, and they came right out and fixed it, and were very attentive. Everything's been good.

We're very happy with Stannah. The sales rep was fabulous. He's been working for them for a long time and he was wonderful. The installer was terrific too. It was a woman who came and she was there for five hours and she was absolutely superb. I also got rapid service. I've had it in within two weeks. Everything went very smoothly.

Overall, my experience with the Stannah Stairlift rep was good, but there were a couple of problems that the installer forgot. On the mounts that go into the treads, the stairs, two covers for those mounts were missing. She said that she was coming back in a few days to put them back on. But she never did. But the stairlift works okay and I'm satisfied.

The Stannah stairlift rep I worked with showed us pamphlets. I'm sure he studied it because he covered everything that was on it. He did a good job.

My parents had a Stannah. It worked very well. When you know something works, you go with that. The sales rep I worked with knew exactly what I needed and encouraged me to get things that I didn't think I needed, but he was right. I didn't think I needed the power twist of the seat when I got to the top to have it turn, but it's worked out very well. Everything he suggested is just what I needed. My stairlift was installed very quickly. I had a knee replacement operation coming up, and it has been five days before my operation. I am completely happy with Stannah.

Stannah Stairlifts has been around for a while, and their product is good. I called the office and they dispatched a rep. He answered all my questions, explained to me about the warranty for the motor, and told me about anything possible that I would need. He gave me different options. I told them I need the one that was the most reliable, that can handle 300 pounds, and durable. My parents are in their 60s and 70s. They are old-fashioned. They asked for a cash discount because they know that if you process with a credit card, there's a transaction fee. So, it doesn't hurt to ask. The rep told us they could accept payment in cash, but there would be no discount. But it was not the rep's fault. That was the old-fashioned thing.

The sales rep from Stannah was very good. He just presented what we'd be getting. We didn't feel pressured. In fact, he was the only one we had. Usually, I have even more people come, but he was a very nice person.

There were two reps. One was an older man and the other was a young trainee, and they were both knowledgeable, interested and helpful, and guided me nicely. They knew what they were doing, led me down the yellow brick road, and got me what I wanted. I'm happy. I can't wait to have everything installed.

I was very happy with Taylor, the salesperson from Stannah. He was very precise and went through everything. I was very happy too with the outcome that we came to although I’m unhappy with the expense.

My dad had a medical emergency, and he lost his mobility. I checked online for stairlifts. I found a few vendors and Stannah happened to be one of the best. The sales visit of the Stannah rep was very pleasant. He was very transparent about all the costs, inclusions and exclusions. It went well. The installation went smoothly too. The guy who had come to install the stairlift was very pleasant to work with and finished everything within a few hours, and explained everything, how the stairlift works. He showed us the manuals and gave us a trial. Even that was pretty informative, which made it easy for us.

I went online and looked at chairlifts and there were three companies. I checked each one and Stannah offered me a good deal. The sales rep convinced me that it was a little bit better than the other two that I was looking at. However, the bottom of the stairs needed to be blocked and he offered me an easy way to block that. The installation went fine. The rep did it and demonstrated it and I was very happy with it. After we had it installed, I found out that my wife had needed hospice care and she needed a way up and down the stairs and it works just fine.

I thought I was getting the number for Acorn. I had never heard of Stannah, but they gave me the number for that. I called and made an appointment. A lovely young lady came out and we bought a Stannah stairlift. It was wonderful. She was so pleasant and accommodating, and everything was nice. We wanted to buy it from Stannah in the first place. The only reason we were considering Acorn is because they deliver in seven days. I'm dying for this because I'm the one who is having trouble walking up and down the stairs. And six weeks is a long time to wait. The price of Stannah is also better.

The Stannah stairlift rep was knowledgeable, efficient and polite. He offered me their services and everything was fine in my experience so far.

We're having a stairlift installed for an apartment over a garage that was constructed six years ago. I talked to a couple different companies, and I did not like the design of the Acorn product or the reviews on their customer service. It was the classic "once it's in and they got your money, good luck if you have a problem." There was an awful lot of bad reviews on the Acorn. We also looked at Bruno. The twin tube design of the Stannah struck me as being structurally more rigid and safer.

The visit with the Stannah rep was great. He had all the information and we worked everything out the first time. It was good. The installation seemed to go smoothly and everybody learned how to use the chair. It's at my dad's house and I set it up. He said that it's working great for him. He's 87. The experience was really good and I would recommend Stannah.

I was very impressed with the sales rep that I talked to. There was no heavy sales pitch. Michelle gave me the price, and as I explained to her, I had another person come in to give us a estimate, and it was like buying a used car. The price point went down thousands of dollars each time she spoke. But Michelle gave us an estimate that was within the range of what we thought it should be. She also showed me what the stairlift does. It folds up and it looks like a nice seat. She showed me pictures and videos of how it worked. It wasn't a long, drawn out process. She was straight to the point. We never make a decision the first day and when I called her back the next day, I had some questions that came up after she left, and she was able to answer all my questions.

The sales representative was very, very good with the way he spoke, and he knew a lot about the company. I was supposed to have the stairlift installed, but the person became sick last week, and I haven't received a word from anybody else about having it installed again.

Stannah Stairlifts' rep was informative. We’ve only had the stairlift for less than a week. So far, so good. It gives mobility to my husband and my mother-in-law. I could use it.

My father has been hospitalized on and off all summer and went between two rehab centers. His mobility has suffered tremendously and we needed to get him up and down the stairs, especially to go to multiple doctor's appointments. Tony, the rep from Stannah, came out on the initial visit. He came on a little strong and he apologized. He was concerned that we weren't gonna be able to get the stairlift in but we worked it out and things went fine between me and Tony after that. I signed the paperwork. When I took the picture and texted it over, he had somebody out there.

We had other estimates, and we preferred Stannah Stairlifts' professionalism. The guy was very patient and understanding. Explained the details to my parents, and explained to me. Took time, followed through, made sure was there anything. Called before they came. Gave a video. The installers were professional and timely. Took the time to explain. Never rushed it. Made sure we were clear and understood about it. I recommended Stannah to other people.

I would recommend to anyone purchasing a Stannah stair lift. They have a great reputation. I liked everything about them. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful, and worked hard to get the stairlift put in as soon as possible. We're very pleased.

The stairlift is a nice unit. The quality seems well. The guy that installed it was very friendly. He answered any questions we had.

We went and had appointments with three different people with different products. Although Stannah Stairlifts was the more expensive one, it had options that were better than the other ones that were offered by competing companies. For example, and most importantly, the seatbelt option. The seat was a bit wider. Also, it seemed like it's inconsequential, except that it's a cover for the footings that attached to the floor. Without that, if I were to accidentally step on it, I would step on bolts, nuts and screws. I didn't like that. But it was a superior product.

I used Stannah Stairlifts because we used them before with my mom 10 years ago. I was familiar with what they do, so it didn't take a lot. It was concise and to the point. The tech was in and out in 2.5 hours. Showed us how to do everything. It was very easy. My dad likes the stairlift. It has made him more independent.

The sales rep who came over was very thorough and I didn't have any questions when he was done. Also, the installers were very good. I've had a few problems with the stairlift but they're taking care of them.

I did a lot of research, and I found out that Stannah is highly recommended by Consumer Reports. There was Acorn but when I read about them, I wasn't very thrilled. When I spoke to the gentleman with Stannah who was trying to come here to give me an estimate, he was very nice, knowledgeable, and honest. He did not pressure me, was sincere with what he was saying and gave me what I needed. I got a straight stairlift because there's a tiny landing that it twirled around the chair. There's also a railing for two steps. The installer, Carl, was very nice as well. He could have done this stuff in his sleep. He knew what he was doing, was very neat, didn't make any mess, and told me exactly what he was doing. When I called about the key, he explained everything to me. They also told me that I could save some of the battery if I let it blink.

I had done my research prior, so I had a feeling that I knew what a straight stair and curved was, and an idea of what the Stannah Stairlifts rep would say. It was as I predicted. That one level of stairs would be a straight lift, and if it would curve around, it would require something more complicated. So, it was exactly what I expected. The straight one took 2.5 hours to install. It wasn't that big of a deal, because the straight lifts, one for the basement and the other is from the first floor but there's a smaller sub level so it's not going upstairs to the bedroom. So the straight lifts were smooth. The curve probably took a bit longer.

I went online and some marketing site match said, “Stannah matched your needs a little better.” So, I gave them first shot, and I was impressed with the mechanics of the stairlft, especially the way the automatic end drop pulls out of the way and drops back into the way. And I had made up my mind. I had a meeting with Acorn, but I was more impressed with Stannah Stairlifts. So, even if they were a little more expensive, it has so far proven to be a good decision. From the initial contact on the phone, to the appointment, to the sales rep, the installation, it was done as promised in a predictable amount of time.

I was very impressed with the sales guy at Stannah. He had a very nice presentation. He was very confident and intelligently interactive. He listened as well as spoke. He painted a very nice picture of why this was a good one to buy. I didn't look any further. The installation was a one-day operation, and it was very well done. The stairlift takes up some room on the stairs, which were not too wide to begin with. It feels a little tight going up and down the stairs if you aren't using it. But it performs an important service and it's worth the cost. I got it for my wife and I haven't quite persuaded her to try it out. But she will. I've been using it mostly to get heavy things up the stairs because I used to be able to carry them up.

The installers took about three to four hours to do the work. The stairlift has good quality. Overall, it was a good experience.

We had a good visit with the sales rep. I had two stairways and Stannah couldn't go around it so they had me put two chairs in there. I watched the installers do their work and they were very efficient. The chairlifts are doing very good. It's very good quality.

My dad’s 97 and he’s having mobility problems, so we got a chair lift. Initially, I tried Acorn, and their reviews were really terrible. I didn't think the salesman spent enough time with us explaining things. So, then I called Stannah, and that's the one we chose. We liked their salesman, Jamie, and I liked that they had a showroom that we could go in and see the product. My experience with them has been great.

I love Stannah. I got the stairlift for my mother. I moved her in and she didn't wanna stay on my first floor. I bought one of the refurbished ones, and the sales rep was lovely and nice. I got the full Monty on a new Stannah stairlift. The rep was awesome. Also, the installer was in and out of here in less than two hours and did a swell job. He was a young and nice kid. We love the stairlift. We show it off to everybody that comes here.

When I needed help in the beginning, they were on the phone to help me. People learn. I'm 86, and I'll be 87 on September 3. They had somebody who could answer the questions. Stannah is a little more expensive, but people only get what they pay for and this works fine. It's a lifetime warranty, and why would someone wanna get involved where you they fight with people? I don't need that.

The price is double what I would have paid when I checked out another company a few years before, but I needed the stairlift. I got the straight one, then one person came to install it and it took a couple of hours. Now, I'm using the stairlift, and I like it. Michelle presented directly to my parents and they were very impressed with the stairlift. Michelle gave them good advice. It's hard to sell my parents things so she must have done a great job. In the end, we bought the stairlift and so far, so good. The installation process went smoothly and my parents have been able to use it without incident. We've had a good experience and I would recommend that others consider Stannah if selecting a vendor for a stairlift.

When I contacted Stannah Stairlifts, they were able to send somebody out and do an in-home consultation. They were able to come within a short period of time. The gentleman who came was knowledgeable and was able to inspect the stairs, make some suggestions on which would be the appropriate stairlift, and run through all the options with us. Well-prepared and knowledgeable about the product.

We inquired about a stairlift earlier with someone else and they were not as pleasant as the salesman from Stannah. He explained everything in detail, like what we'd get, where it would be, and how it would be installed. He brought us over to the steps and showed us everything that would happen if we bought from him. We were telling him the price was a little higher than we wanted, then he said they have reconditioned units and that they could work with us with that and that it would bring the cost down under what we wanted to do with the equipment that we wanted. This gentleman also sent us a brochure, unlike the other guy who didn't. He just told us about the product and its price. When we told him it was over our budget and asked if there was any way around it, he said there was no way out. So, we decided to go with Stannah.

The sales rep told us about the stairlift and we went over what the procedure was. I chose Stannah over other products based on the dependability. We got the straight indoor stairlift and the installer was very polite.

We had a salesman come out and introduce us to the product line. He was very friendly and engaging. He educated us through a brochure on the various packages, the basic model versus the upgraded model. We were able to make the selection of the proper stairlift that we needed, and he was able to write up the invoice and work order. It was very straightforward. They told us it would be about two weeks before someone could come out and install, which they did. We had someone call us a few days before the installation to say that someone was coming out, and they provided us with his name. He came out early that Saturday morning with all the parts and started to go right to work. He did a good job of stapling all the wire hookup to get everything set up for the two stairlifts. It took him two to three hours and once he was done, he did a demonstration to show my husband how to work it.

The sales rep was a very nice guy, and he was professional. My husband had him come in about a year ago and we didn't make up our minds till now. I have knee issues, and I was going up and down on my butt before. The stair lift is convenient, and it has helped me a great deal. It takes up a lot of room for people who don't use it, but that's the way our house is configured. One day, I stopped it halfway, and it hesitated to continue, but it worked. My only thing is it has a bar at the bottom, and we have a cat. So, I always have to worry that it doesn't hit him ‘cause the bar extends to the bottom extension rail.

Installation was done very well, and the stairlift works really well. The guy showed us how to do it and we're very happy with it. Stannah more than met our needs, and we've already recommended them to friends.

Stannah is great and my mother loves the stairlift that he had installed. It works perfectly and she really couldn't live without it. She knows how to do use it even though her memory is not quite as good. Without it, she wouldn't be able to maintain her lifestyle. But with it, she's able to live independently at a three-story house. Also, there are five stairs going from the kitchen into the garage and she exits the house through that way. She didn't have to do it that often so, she was able to negotiate that. But it was becoming harder and harder. It would take her a long time, about 10 minutes, to go down five stairs. So, we got a new stairlift for that and it works just as well as the first one.

I called somebody and arranged for a representative from Stannah Stairlifts to come to my house. He was very good and informative. We decided to get the installation right away. It was very quick. It took a couple of weeks. The installers were very professional. Also, the stairlifts fit well. They called them straight. Two stairways are being served, and they work well. They seem to be high quality so far. They save wear on the knees.

I had a very good experience with the Stannah Stairlift rep. Very knowledgeable. The installer was here for four hours. It was one person doing all the work. He went out, got some parts and put them on. He ran it up and down and told me what will happen when you do this or when you do that. The stairlift is doing its job. It's helped me greatly that I don't have to crawl up the stairs every night.

I purchased a curved Stannah stairlift and the installers were terrific. I love it. The quality is good so far. Their reps were also very nice.

The Stannah rep knew what he was talking about. No pressure salesman and down to earth. He was somebody I could talk to and it worked out very well. The stairlift fits well because I didn't have to move my railing that was against the wall and that's where the chair is. It's tucked over there even though the railing is on the stairs itself and the handrail is on the same side as the chairlift, you can go up and down the stairs with no problem of bumping into the railing. They fixed it up. There's still plenty of room to walk downstairs without tripping.

He came to the house to take some measurements and give us some guidance on making a decision on our selection for what version of the stairlift we wanted. He was very helpful. We got a straight stairlift and it’s good. Our stairs are tight and it’s functional. It works as described. The installers did a good job and cleaned up any mess they made. The stairlift was for my parents who needed it as they were getting older. It takes a little bit off my mind.

Stannah had better reviews and it was positive dealing with the rep. I wish the stairlift was smaller but it’s good. My mom can walk up and down the stairs. The stairlift is very helpful and essential.

We live upstairs, so I needed something. The sales visit with Stannah was very nice. Installation was fine. It was done within less than two hours. The features of our stairlift are great. They've allowed my husband to be a little more mobile.

While giving my review of the installation, which was excellent, I neglected to give high praise to Will. He did the measurements for the placement of the railing. He was professional and friendly. He started the process on a good note.

I first did the web research and then I called Stannah. The reps were very helpful, competent and kind on the phone. They sent out an estimator who would tell me what it was gonna cost and what kind of lift we needed. Then, they sent out the installation guy. They provided manuals so it was a very well-organized, thorough process. I had the Stannah stairlift installed at the end of July and I use it multiple times daily. I broke my leg and I live in a two-story house and everything’s upstairs. I started with a wheelchair then crutches, and then a cane. But even then, they wouldn't let me climb the stairs for a while. So, my wife and I decided to put in a Stannah stairlift that would allow me to get to the bedroom and the shower, sleep in my bed and take a shower in my own shower.

My cousin's 89 years old and he has 14 stairs going straight up to his condo. He's been there for over 20 years and he doesn't want to move. We had called three other stairlift places and one company couldn't do the install one for us because the stairs weren't wide enough. Another company didn't give a quote and another one came out but decided they couldn't do it. Then, while my cousin was playing casino on his computer, he saw Stannah and called me. It goes too slow however and I wanted to get a performance model but the salesman, Craig, said I couldn't have one. I am wondering if I get an upgrade to a four-barrel carburetor. We should have two gears, one for old people and one for me.

Stannah was a recommendation from one of my neighbors who had put it in. They were extremely pleased and they happened to have the unit in their home, so I was able to see it in operation. I called Stannah and the salesperson was very helpful and on top of things. He was very thorough and answered any questions. The installer was great. The Stannah rep who came to our home was nice. We were gonna give him a call because my husband felt a little bump in the stair lift and see if that's normal or if we need to get it checked. But other than that, it's been working great. It’s been a big help. We've told the visiting nurses if anybody needs one, that they should call the gentleman who came here.

I have trouble with my knees and I had blocks of wood on the stairs so that I could go up half a step at a time, which worked very well, but the occupational therapist came in and recommended that I get a stairlift. Everything went really well during the sales visit with Stannah. The rep was very informative and knowledgeable. Also, the installers were very good.

I'm a building inspector by trade and I've seen a few of Stannah stairlifts installed on jobs and I liked what I saw. I contacted Stannah and met with the rep and he was wonderful. He explained everything that I needed to get done and it was really nice. They ordered it and we set up a delivery time. Once the stairlift was delivered, the installers said they were coming at 8 o'clock in the morning. They got here about five minutes to 8:00 and they assembled the material out in the garage and were very neat. They swept up after everything they did. It was like a puzzle and they put it together piece by piece. They marked it all out first, did the bolting, installed, and did the wiring and all the testing. At the end of the day, it worked fine and they gave us a lesson on it. I like the functionality and the performance of the stairlift. It's for my parents and they're getting used to it. It helps my mother drastically who can't even walk upstairs.

I was in the hospital for four days. Everybody recommended I do something because I have to use my stairs. I had bought a Stannah a number of years ago and I never used it, but I saw the quality of it. I sold it. I thought they were good stairlift, so that was why I bought the one I did. The Stannah rep came out and told me what it was gonna cost. Originally, I was gonna buy the gadget that goes on the bottom, so it doesn't have a piece sticking out. Then I changed my mind, and I didn't get that. That reduced the cost somewhat. I gather she measured it because when they came and installed it, they knew the length of the track and then everything fit perfectly. The people that installed it did a good job. The stairlift works fine. It minimizes the chance of falling down the stairs. I just came back from a trip and when I packed my suitcase, I put it in my lap when I rode the stairlift down. That made it a lot easier to get my suitcase up and down the stairs.

I did an online search and I liked Stannah’s seven-day return policy. I looked at a close competitor and they said nobody does that. I said Stannah does and asked if they could offer me that guarantee and they said no. So I went with Stannah, even though it was more expensive. The sales rep was very nice, thorough and had her stuff together. She gave me a little discount and everything she told us was true. I got the straight stairlift and it fits perfectly. It was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The installer was wonderful. He'd been working for Stannah for many years and knew exactly what he was doing. It took probably an hour and a half and it’s quality built. It feels great.

We love the rep from Stannah. The sales visit was wonderful. I appreciate that she came here a year ago and I kept all of her information. Then, when we were ready to get the chair, I called her. She called me back promptly and she came over again. She had to measure a couple of times. We had an old chair on the stairs that the motor went out. So, the first time, the old chair was on the stairs, and they told her that we needed to remove that old chair. Then she needed to come back and re-measure, which she did. She was very pleasant and she gets back to me whenever I call her about anything. She's a very nice person.

I'm old and falling apart. Stannah is a reputable firm and when their rep came out, he was very interesting and knowledgeable. He explained the whole operation of the chair, the cost, and everything else. The installation was professionally done by two professionals. They knew their business, they were nice, and they left no mess at all. I'd recommend Stannah to my friends.

We moved into a new house and my laundry is in the basement. I don't walk that well and it was not accessible to me. When Stannah's sales rep came out, she was fabulous and not pushy in any way. I explained to her what I could afford and what we were looking for. Then she took care of everything. We had no desire to even look at anywhere else because she explained everything so well to us and their stairlift was what we were looking for. The installer was fabulous, too. He had it done in no time, explained every detail to us, and had us try it. Our experience couldn't be any better and we love the stairlift. It fits our needs and it's so easy to use. We have no complaints at all. I'm supposed to start making monthly payments to Stannah but I haven't received the bill yet. I called them about it, but they said it hadn't been a month yet. We put so much down then we were going to finance the rest of it over not that many months.

We wanted to install a stairlift and I contacted Stannah. The rep was very good, kind and knowledgeable. They did everything they were supposed to do and we're happy, so that's good enough. Stannah’s equipment is not the least expensive on the market but we buy premium products. I find that to be the best value and we never buy anything that isn't the best. John, my partner, is 91 and we live in a three-story house, so he needed help for going up and down the stairs. Stannah's sales rep was very good and nice. Whatever he promised was exactly what we got and he was very attentive to everything. Our main staircase is a very important part of our entry hall, architecturally, and we were worried that the stairlift would really interfere with the aesthetics. But it turned out to be much less of an impact than we expected. We're satisfied and the chairlift has worked really well for John.

My mom has trouble going up and down the stairs. I did a comparison of different companies and the prices were very similar. But I liked that with Stannah, I was not going through a third-party dealer. I was dealing with Stannah directly and that made the big difference for me. The sales rep was competent. She seemed to know the product. So she was helpful. We purchased the curved stairlift and it goes all the way around the stairwell. But it hasn't been installed yet. I was told that it's coming into the local office today or tomorrow, and they have to get a crew to install it. So, that's been about four weeks. If it actually arrives, it'll be four weeks to get it fabricated and delivered locally. I don't know how long it takes to get a crew out to the house to install it.

It took all day, but it's perfect. The installer explained everything to us. It's very easy to operate. The quality is excellent. It's made it much easier for my husband to manage the stairs.

It impacts my wife's life a lot because she takes care of her and it's a lot of physical work. But now, with that lift, it has made her job a lot easier. So, all the way around, it's been a positive impact.

I had an awesome experience with Kevin, the salesperson. Stannah is a family-owned business and they're very personable. They aim to please. They are very good people. The day they said they were coming out, they came out. They were on time. The installation didn't take them a long time. They didn't complete it and they let us know. There was another piece in there and in about another week, we're looking for them to come and complete it.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable, nice and easy to work with. He was very good. The mechanic who did the installation was quick, fast and quiet. The week my husband got to use the Stannah stairlift for a week and a half, it was great.

Before I have a drastic fall, I thought of getting a chair lift. I purchased a curved one from Stannah and it's all right. There's enough room for another person to pass by.

Stannah is very competitively priced and they have very good customer service. The salesman and the installer were very good. The rep came to the house, made it up, and gave me an on-site estimate with no problems. The installation went well, too. The installer came here at 11:00 and we were all finished up by 4:00 in the afternoon. It was only one person, one of the girls. She's been doing it for four years.

The quality of the stairlift is very good and the installation was very easy. It was one gentleman that came and he was very good at what he was doing. He had all the parts and took his time. It went well. What I don't like is I have to accept six months rental and that's $3,200. It's 500 and something bucks a month which is a little high. But if I break it down to each day, it's worth it.

I'm an occupational therapist and the stair climber we got from Stannah is for my dad who is 91. I work in acute rehab and one of my patients was telling me they had such a great experience with Stannah that we decided to give them a try. Working with them was really easy. It seemed like when I had done my research, the price was about in the same ballpark as all the others. But I liked that Stannah also offered used products. So they had options for pricing.

I was having some trouble breathing and climbing the stairs wasn't helping. A friend of my wife has a Stannah stairlift and she really liked them. We ended up purchasing a straight stairlift from them and it fits great in our home. During the installation, the installer went about his business and we didn't have a lot of interaction. He knew what he was doing, so it went quite well. But I would recommend to Stannah that the lower footrest be turnable when the seat turns at the bottom or top of the stairs. But that is the only thing that isn't the way I would have done it and I've been engineering that.

The Stannah stairlift has been great. A guy came, took the old one and he put in a new one very efficiently. The person was great. He came when he was supposed to. The stairlift works. However, with my old one, when it got upstairs, you could move it around the back without using the remote. With this, you always have to use the remote.

When I needed a stairlift for my father, Stannah was recommended by my friend. The sales guy came over and measured then we talked about the price. However, they delivered a stairlift with a wrong side. They were gonna connect it to the right side and I needed the one to the left side. I had to call the salesperson and told him it was not the correct one. They had to wait another week, but they changed it to the correct side. I like that the stairlift is retractable so it's not sticking out. My father's using it everyday so it's been very helpful. It's expensive though.

I got a Stannah for my husband. It was a rental unit. It came not so clean. The padding on the floor thing was dirty. But it worked, it operated, and it was put on a truck. My brother-in-law had to install an extra barrier so that no one could trip over that. That was a requirement before they installed. Other than that, it's fine for the purpose.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. Stannah Stairlifts responded to all my calls and questions, and were very professional and polite. They didn't push me. They just explained their product. I was very pleased with them. And when the gentleman came to put the stairlift in, he was very nice, very professional, and clean because there was drilling involved to get the mechanism on the walls. He worked, got it done, had me try the stairlift out before he left, instructed me on how to work it. If I tested him with questions, he was very patient and answered all of them. I was very pleased with him. I had a little issue with the stairlift. I spoke to a young man. I explained what was going on, he told me exactly what to do, and my chair worked again. I'm very happy with it.

We needed to buy a stairlift because my mom became ill and could no longer use the stairs. We chose Stannah because I looked on ConsumerAffairs for well-rated stairlift companies and Stannah was the best-rated. The person who came was very helpful and friendly. She measured our stairs and talked to us about our options. It was a great experience overall.

The salesman of Stannah was very good. The installation was also very good and the quality of the stairlift is excellent. I like that I can now bring my groceries from my garage up to the kitchen.
