The Shark robot vacuum is a pretty good machine. But, there is always a but, I spent a couple of hours on the phone with Shark support. I could not get this new machine to hook to my home wifi. So, at their prompt I returned it and received a replacement. This one didn't either. They couldn't figure it out for a very long time. Finally, the 3rd rep asked me what name of my home network was. It was three words, separated with spaces as words should be. This rep informed that the Shark could not recognize a wifi network that had spaces in it! Nowhere, I repeat, nowhere in the Shark literature or website was this information stated! All that hassle because they couldn't see that this info should be in the initial packet. Aaaach!!!

The manufacturer should allow the SAME battery to be used in other cordless vacs but don't. It's only about money and wanting you consumers to have to buy the same battery if needed..for example... DeWalt tools, batteries are all interchangeable with any tool and other tool companies have the same. This is a cordless vacuum for Pete's sake...not national security. Allow batteries to be swapped out! And the rotating brush...one Shark we have...we can remove the rotating brush and clean or replace it.

I received a cordless vac as a Christmas present. I really loved vacuuming with it. After 2 months, a piece broke off the dust cup. I went to their accessories page and saw it was in stock. So I ordered a replacement on 2/11. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package on 2/14 and instead of a dust cup there was a dust bin. 2 separate and very different pieces. One is for the vacuum and one is for the auto emptying device. So I called Shark and told them about the mistake. They put in a new order for the dust cup. ON 2/19, the new order arrived and inside was the another dust bin. So once again, I called to tell them about the incorrect shipment.
The representative kept insisting the order was correct until I showed, thru a video chat, 2 dust bins still in the plastic. Once again, a new order was placed. A week later, I was curious why I had not received it since I received the others so quickly. So I went on their accessories page and discovered it is now out of stock. Am I upset about this? I should mention that this was my 3rd and last Shark. When will I get my correct order?

I bought my Shark stick vacuum back in September 2023. It just stopped working. I could not even turn it on. I called customer service. Did not get anywhere. You cannot even get it serviced. You have to ship it off which is completely ridiculous. I even emailed the CEO but never got a response back. I decided not to bother and went back and bought a Bissell vacuum.

Love the Shark Navigator. Clean a lot and it takes a lot of use and abuse on a daily basis. We have used many Shark vacuums similar to Navigators. The plug in stick vacuums, opinions could go either way. Better on bare floors than carpets. They did not belong to us so I can’t verify upkeep. Battery stick vacs. Not a lot of use but the little I’ve had I would never want one or have to depend on one. As far as Navigator and Shark vacs like it, very little negative to say about. But certain area in dust cup (not because overfull) easier/faster to just hand pull out. (Which leaves hand very dusty dirty. Not whatyo u want when cleaning someone’s house.)
The few attachments it comes with are in awkward place that continually get knocked off. Also wish attachments interchangeable with others. If you have to replace your vac and have already purchased attachments for it It is very frustrating they won’t fit the replacement. I have a very expensive Bissell for yrs. I was given Shark Navigator as gift (half the price if not even less). I haven’t used my Bissell since getting Shark. Wish I could contact Shark and use in our cleaning with honest reviews. Ty.

I have owned a Shark vacuum for many, many years. Still going strong. I just purchased my son one and he loves it. My son and I both own the other popular brand and I would prefer Shark every day over the other for the performance and quality and most of all, the customer service. They are the best. Other brand, Go with a Shark.

It's rare to find a company willing to offer a free replacement part even when I broke it. Shark makes great products and the customer service on the phone was awesome. I called for help replacing a $100 part that I probably broke and they tell me they'll just send me one for free. Glad I didn't order it on Amazon and made an old school phone call. Sometimes online conveniences are costly.

My vacuum broke within after 10 month, so I contacted Shark robot customer service, they did several video session over couple of days and agreed to send me a replacement after I had to pay shipping. I have been waiting for over 14 days to get an replacement and when checking via email link it's backordered. I call to check on my replacement and they told me, that the system can't re-order or send a different model until a 30 day waiting period. Very bad Shark Customer Service and bad warranty service. We bought a short matrix mop and sweep robot. When it works it's excellent. But it started running on its own all the time. After weeks of talking to customer service trying to troubleshoot the issue they finally agreed to a replacement. However, we had to pack and send the broken unit and wait until they received it until they would send a new one. After a few weeks, it never came and when we called, they gave some excuse about being out of stock. They placed a new order after we called and still took another week to come. I consider this unacceptable, they should have sent the replacement much sooner and not waited on me to call. Extremely disappointed with the way they handled this.

I ordered a Shark self cleaning cordless vacuum to replace our old one that we wore out after 14 months of heavy use. I also ordered a carpet shampooer for pet care as well. I placed the order, got a tracking number and a date it was to arrive. I didn't show up on the date given so I used the tracking number to find out where my order was. The tracking number didn't not work and had an error of some kind. I called the 877-581-7375 customer service number and they explained the order was cancelled.
Upon asking why the reason was for payment and reviewed and rejected by a third party that they refused to disclose. I said I wanted to re-place the order and was told I would ever be able to place any further orders due to the cancelled order. They could not tell me why it was cancelled or reviewed but just that i could order again. I am retired and quite comfortable money wise and a 805 credit score and have never been rejected for anything or any loan. I am not happy and will tell anyone to not buy from Shark. I'm extremely disappointed with this vacuum cleaner. It stopped working after minimal use, and I'm still fuming about the horrible customer service experience that followed. Despite having a 5-year warranty, the company refused to replace or repair it. The vacuum itself is flimsy and poorly made, but what's even worse is the company's lack of accountability. When I called customer service, they were unhelpful and unresponsive. It's clear they don't stand behind their products. Save your money and avoid this vacuum like the plague. The hassle and frustration aren't worth it. Look elsewhere for a reliable and customer-friendly brand.

Very disappointed in the Shark Ultralight PetPro Hairpro corded stick vacuum. Although the suction and ability to clean is pretty good here are my issues. 1) Incredibly loud. 2) Top part, which you should be able to remove with a push of a button and a little tug and almost impossible to separate from the body of the vacuum. I am using all my might and usually have to give up. It’s that hard to remove. 3) the brush attachment is pretty much useless, unless you want to vacuum your keyboard. It is so small it is not even worth including with the product.

I purchased my over 500 dollar vacuum about 4 months ago. I really like the vacuum, but it quit working on me about a month ago. I called support and after troubleshooting was told to cut the cord on video call with them and that my new vacuum would be here in 3 to 5 days. 1 month and 4 canceled orders later I still have no vacuum. They tell me each time I call that my order keeps canceling on its own because something is wrong with my address. My original vacuum was shipped to said address so I am a bit confused by this. Each time I call to check on the status we have the same conversation, just with a different person saying they fixed the problem and expect my vacuum in 3 to 5 days. I would really like this resolved and would love to edit this review to something more positive, because as I said I did like the vacuum before it quit working.

I ordered a Shark Stratos with TruPet upgrade directly from the company. A week after purchasing and receiving the attachments, but not the vacuum, I checked the order status and it said shipping pending. I contacted customer service to determine the status of my order. They said it has been canceled because the vacuum was on backorder and it is now back in stock, so just order another one.
I purchased my vacuum on sale and to reorder would have been $75+ more expensive at the current price. I contacted Shark customer service to see if they would sell it to me at the original purchase price and they said no. The current offer only allowed 20% off which was considerably less discount that what I originally paid. Apparently customer service didn't see a problem with canceling my order without telling me and then having me purchase again for a much inflated price. They were not willing to work with me at all. This unethical behavior is enough to make me never buy a Shark Ninja product again.

I purchased the Shark clean and empty cordless stick vacuum back on May 18, 2024. This is the worst vacuum cleaner Shark has made. It has terrible suction, the battery lasted 13 minutes, and it zig zags like a maniac on area rugs. I returned it on May 21, 2024 and Shark received it on May 22, 2024. It is now June 12, 2024 and I still haven't received a refund. I have called multiple times and spoken to several supervisors and still no refund!!! Every single customer service rep has told me a different excuse about the refund processing times. I have been told 2-3 business days, 3-5 business days, and 7-10 business days. The supervisors have no discretion to actually resolve the issue.
Shark company is crap and that is what they are, a shark that preys on customers. As of today, June 12, 2024, I have been told that the refund was processed and it could take 10 business days. I will never buy a Shark product ever again and will continue to write reviews across the board until my fingers fall off. Oh and if I don't receive a refund in 10 business days, you bet I will file a civil lawsuit to include punitive damages for wasting my time and making me emotionally aggravated.

I have purchased several Shark vacuums in the last ten years. The first two were DUO Upright NV650 and NV750. I loved them for many years, that was until the vacuum began snagging my carpet. I looked to see where it was happening and noticed the plastic base near the wheels wore down leaving a gap between the plastic and wheel on both sides. I called Shark and they said my warranty expired the month previous. I was flabbergasted. I took excellent care of the vacuums and this was a result of their manufacturing and not something I could have prevented. That is, unless I never used it.
Still, I bought two new Upright AZ3000 models. Thus far, my two disappointments stem from the dust container and hand wand. The dust container does not easily attach like the NV650 or NV750 models. It is actually a bit of a pain getting it to click back in. Secondly, and most disappointing is the hand wand. It no longer has a light allowing one to see into dark crevices or highlight the dirt, hair, or etc.. When I purchased the new vacuums, I guess I just assumed the vacuum would retain the positive aspects of their previous models. I suppose SHARK was not looking for perfection but downsizing like so many companies today. Depending on the longevity of the two AZ3000 models I recently purchased, I may have to rethink my loyalty to SHARK and find a company that is looking for perfection.

I placed an order for a dust cup where the lever to secure the lit to the dust cup failed after 7 months. The day after I ordered it I called to cancel the order they said it cannot be done. I called today after 6 days after I placed the order since it still showing processing. They said on their end it says it shipped on my end it says is processing which means it has not even been packaged as there is no carrier or expected delivery date. The support personnel said give another 7 days then we may be able to do something. I think this is wrong.
If product has not shipped you should be able to cancel the order. Then they said once you get it, sent it back. Waste of time sending something across the US to be send right back to where it came from. This was my first Shark product and it will be my last. I then told the person I was upset and she said not sure why you upset which really anger me. This should not be difficult it the website had said it may take up to 14 day to ship and I agree to it I get it, but there was no such warning. I am also paying $10 to have it ship where many other companies will ship for free after a specific amount. Shark is a joke.

Had the Shark Vertex Pro for six months and vacuum head started having problems. This is after I noticed the suction was not as powerful as my four year old DuoFlex power clean. They cheapened the model, removed the toe release for the cleaning head. Now have to bend over and wrestle the head off by hand and wrestle it back on while bent over. Called customer service and while she was pleasant and helpful in determining the power head needed to be replaced, I was informed that was not covered by the warranty---which is insane since that is where the moving parts are. And they redesigned it so there is little you can do to access any of the parts. So while I have been a fan of shark for years---I am done. Cheaply made product and no meaningful customer support.

I am an elderly lady with cats and I bought this vacuum because it was supposed to be good for pet hair. By the third use which was about 2 months after I purchased this vacuum all of a sudden the on/off button did not work properly. It will not turn off. It only starts and stops with the plug. Recently I call Amazon customer service to see what could be done. After waiting for 5 minutes I finally asked if anyone was there and he answered and said he had no recourse for me or the product since I only had 28 days for issues. Now this was unacceptable reply as far as I was concerned. I have shopped for years with Amazon and never had issues. Till now. If this had been a cheap product I would have just said oh well. But it wasn't cheap and came with good reviews.
For the money I spent and only 3 uses in 2 months now I have an issue with no recourse. So out of being upset I went to Sharks website to see if they could help me. There's obviously an electrical issue!

Up until the Stratos I would have given them 10 stars. I was so in love with all the Shark products. I have been using the Shark products for a very long time. I have almost everything that they offer. I would swear by them and pick them over that other one. Anytime I bought a new one it was because I wanted the new feature offered, it was never because mine wasn’t working anymore.
My last purchase was the Stratos. This has ruined all the years of “great” I built with them. Everything about this round went wrong starting from the shipping, from Shark directly. I never received it and they would not replace it. But you see after I got over being extremely upset over that I went ahead and bought another Stratos. I wish I hadn’t. This is the worst vacuum I have ever had the displeasure of using. It’s supposed to be the best for pet hair. Having 3 GSD you could see why I would want something great for pet hair. Well after each use and often a couple times during, I have to remove the roller bar because it has so much dog hair trapped it no longer can work.
The return policy is horrible. You don’t get back what you paid. I don’t recall what it was they offered as it was 6 months ago but I can say they offered so little that I didn’t bother to return it. I got my old one out and have been using it ever since. I spent close to $1400 between the two vacuums and Shark was not willing to let me exchange it for a different one because I “waited” too long. With all the problems I had it was too long according to their policy. No attempt on their part to keep a customer happy. This model needs to be removed from their inventory. I will look on the site and update with my purchase but for now, the pictures I provide should prove I actually did buy one (or two in my case, oh how I regret that).

This robot vacuum has very limited sucked power and does not compare to much cheaper models. It gets stuck over the tiniest differences like air vent which no other vacuum has done before. The wi-fi functions are a joke and every 2 or 3 days it will disconnect itself and need a full setup to be redone. Attaching the mop function is a chore and it's unlikely that people would switch between the two models. Lastly within 6 months it completely stopped working. I called the customer support and they saw it was not working. They said they would send back only the robot and none of the accessories so I would have to disassemble and reassemble the new one. Also I would have to pay for the shipping for a non working product. I honestly wish we never bought this it was a complete waste of money. COMPLETELY different model number and again I had to argue that my attachments wouldn't fit and video chat to prove that they had the wrong connector pieces.
Why do I need to argue whether or not my attachments fit when they didn't even send the correct model number? According to them, it's all the same even though one self empties and must plug into the base while the other does not. The customer service was terrible as they kept implying I was the issue and not their lack of knowledge of their own products or even their warehouse who clearly can't select the proper model number for the life of them! I absolutely use to LOVE ALL MY SHARK PRODUCTS until now.
When we received our replacement it was packed away for 2 months due to us moving. When we took it out of storage We had used it about 12 times within the 2-3 months. Then it started dying in the middle of vacuuming after a full charge. So I called the company again and they said I needed a new battery ALREADY!! Not even possible.
Now I’m being told my device is out of warranty from the original sweeper, and there is nothing they can do. So they replaced my first device with a “new” but defective device and now when it no longer works they tell you that you have to purchase a new battery and when that don’t work a new device at a discount price that is still more then what you would spend at say Walmart so where is the discount. They would not give me my money back but sent me a new head saying to clean wheels after each use with tweezers!! Now I have a German shepherd, some days I'm vacuuming 3 times/day from shedding, it blows my mind a vacuum described as a Pet vaccum should not be this much work to keep the pet fur off the surface touching the floor as well as picking pet fur out of tiny wheels 3 times/day...I would definitely had spent the extra for the dyson I know works and I don't have to keep cleaning my vacuum so it can clean my floor. I am incredibly disappointed in my Shark vacuum cleaner and its failure to operate properly. I purchased a Shark vacuum a year and some months ago and spent several hundred dollars. It lasted for three months before the motor burnt out. I returned it to the store where I purchased it and they gave me a new replacement of the same model. Five months later the roller in the floor nozzle wouldn't turn so I called as it was still under warranty and I was very disappointed to learn that the floor nozzle was not covered under the warranty! I reluctantly bought another floor nozzle for $100 from Shark.
Today, less than six months later, this part stopped working. How frustrating! I can see pet hair has gotten up into the roller mechanism and is most likely causing the roller not to turn freely but since these are built so that they cannot be taken apart and cleaned/repaired it's obviously a design flaw. I have invested well over $500 on the Shark vacuum and replacement floor nozzle and it's all going in the trash now. I will never ever buy another product from Shark. Too bad they don't stand by their products and warranty the part (floor nozzle), which is clearly the most likely part to fail.

Then we bought this most recent one and said if it doesn't last longer we won't get Shark again. After 8 months of regular use (once a week or less), it just stopped working. Shark said that the roller brush was the issue and that it was not covered by warranty --they seem to say that whatever is wrong is not covered by warranty and wanted to charge us close to $100 to send a new piece that MIGHT fix it. No thank you. Fortunately we had bought the vacuum at Sam's Club and they gave us a refund. Shark's customer service stinks and it's a shame they can't make a product that works well for more than a few months.

After countless calls with various reps from everywhere but the United States which makes the entire experience very sad. Not only communication as one would expect, but overall ability to solve problems. I love automation and that’s the key to a smoother lifestyle.
After emails, calls and request to return a call in our time zone at reasonable time after 8a. I get multiple missed calls at 5, 6a. Then now a missed call at 3p after emailing, they don't follow time requests. Or simply language barrier. I’m pretty sure time zones are easy to figure out with a few clicks on a the web. In the end, nothing has been resolved. My robot runs at mid-speed not the highest suction which is what I set it to in automation but it runs medium suction. They have a software glitch and no one has admitted the issues or a resolution—just causing a headache on the user's end.

The filters work well and the removed dirt/dust/hair which was visible in the clear collector. No vacuum bag necessary. Filters easy to clean.
Recently the motor started making a grinding noise and there was a smokey smell. I checked the 5 year warranty and noted the motor was included in the 5 year coverage. I called a Shark customer service agent who took me through checking the machine while connected via a video link. She agreed after this evaluation that the motor needed replacement, was covered by the warranty, (expiring Oct 3, 2023) and sent us a new motor unit and new filters. The old engine unit was easy to remove, the replacement unit also easily installed in minutes without any tools necessary. Subsequently the vacuum motor sounded normal and the suction remained as it was when new. I was very pleased with my experience with this Shark vacuum, the customer service and fulfillment of the warranty. My only cost was $20 shipping of the new motor unit which was received within 48 hrs.

We purchased a Shark vertex cordless vacuum for just under $400. After 11 months of use, the entire wand where the vacuum bends broke and was unusable. Shark's website claims that parts are under warranty with the exception of: Normal wear and tear of wearable parts (such as foam filters, HEPA filters, pads, etc.), which require regular maintenance and/or replacement to ensure the proper functioning of your unit. The wand is not a 'wearable' part so this should be included in their 1 year warranty.
I contacted Shark and spent 20 mins on the phone to register the vacuum then submit a claim only to be told the wand is not under warranty and had to spend an additional $40 for a new wand. I'm guessing nothing is under warranty. I would purchase a vacuum from a different company going forward. We have an LG cordless vacuum and that has worked great without any issue for the last 3 years. We also use our vacuums every day and have 3 dogs. The attachment on preview was a bunch of gibberish & when I downloaded the label it would say sorry something went wrong. They blamed it on YAHOO & then they tried to send to GMAIL account & that label would not open with either. So, I called FedEx & they said have them email them the label & it did open for them. But finally after about 100 hours (literally) of my time I got it returned on March 4, 2023. I am now submitting the dispute paperwork with my credit card because Shark has yet to refund the money as promised + they did not sent me the Wandvac which I was charged for in the same purchase. 90 day trial & I originally called them on January 8, 2023 (ordered on 12/14/22). So, warning everyone do not buy the product online because they do not do anything they promise you.
One other thing, Americans answer the phone when you want to purchase & foreigners for any other reason. I let the robot vac run about 8 times on my rug. I read the reviews and thought this would be a great vacuum. It is fairly lightweight and it has good maneuverability. It has a lot of suction, too much even, it's hard to vacuum a rug as it will lift it right off the floor, but good on carpet. The two tools that come with it do not have a way to sink/click into the wand and come off while using them. The power cord comes from the bottom of the motor area and is always in the way, have to hold it up when using the vacuum. It is very easy to pull the vacuum over when using the wand. Emptying the canister is tricky, the debris collects at the back of the canister and you have to pull it out by hand most of the time as it gets a bit stuck behind the interior canister. Okay but not great vacuum.

For the amount of money I spent on this product ($399.00,) it should have lasted more than 1 year or so. They did offer 30% off to purchase another one, but since it was a defective product that failed me, I am not about to spend money over money for another product that may or may not be defective. I hate that you can’t go flat to the floor, you can’t go more than couple inches under furniture before the tank rams into furniture. Even with detachable handle you can’t suck anything up under stuff because it doesn’t get flat to floor either. Has a felt pad on back of floor thing so when you go back/forth it collects and shoves debris all over so you have to go over the space so many times to get it all picked up. The tank is very large in diameter and sticks out a great amount. It says you can go flat to floor to vacuum under things, but when you try, like I said - either the tank hits the furniture and stopped it from going under, or the hose and handle clasps cause it to not go down all the way. The attachments it comes with are absolute crap, and no other vacuum attachments nor adapters, will fit on the detachable hose ends either so reaching under furniture is literally impossible without moving it entirely.

We've had our robot vacuum for about 2.5 years now, and overall have been fairly happy with it. It's not as smart as some others we've seen at friends' houses, but it does a pretty good job of keeping the dog hair picked up on a daily basis. A couple days ago it stopped charging completely, and after a call with customer support they informed us we'd have to buy a new charging dock. Fair enough, we were way out of warranty on the product.
The day before the new charging dock arrived the old one somehow started charging again. Not sure what happened, but we were happy with it working again. When the new dock arrived I called to request a refund, but in the process of getting this done I got hung up on multiple times on top of being held on hold for extended periods of time. Eventually I decided to just keep the dock in case something happens with the current one because this hassle was not worth the $30 refund. This customer support experience has single handedly caused me to never buy any Shark products again. Side note: they do not pay for return shipping if you buy through the Shark website, so I'd suggest buying through Amazon where this is paid for by them if you end up wanting to buy Shark products.

About 4 months after I purchased the vacuum, it wasn't picking up. I called customer service and they took me through the steps of cleaning it. They told me if that didn't fix the problem, to call back and they would have me cut the cord and send me a new vacuum. It worked better but after a few months it wasn't picking up at all. I considered getting rid of my area rug or buying a new, better vacuum. Then I read some reviews on this vacuum that said it picked up dog hairs better than their Dyson and so I called them back. They said they would replace vacuum after I cut cord. The wand was working perfectly so that would have left me without a vacuum for 10 days! This was not acceptable to me. I told them I would cut the cord after I received the new one. They said they couldn't do that.
Finally, they sent me just the bottom part, not the whole vacuum. I added the old handle, cord and dust bin. It picked up amazingly well! It had never picked up like this from the first day. In fact, it works better on dog hair than my old Riccar that was made for this purpose. I was amazed. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is I agree with many people who say that you shouldn't be paying for shipping for parts on a machine under warrantee. Also, you shouldn't have to fight as hard as I did to get things done. Some of their policies are just wrong in my opinion. But in the end for the $22.50 shipping charge I have a great vacuum.

This company has designed some truly terrible products that break consistently by design. It's extortion to design them to break and then try to get the customer to pay for the replacement part stating the brush head is not under warranty! What?! That's ridiculous. My devices broke in less than 6 months and hardly any use. I foolishly purchased their commercial model after the first one quickly broke thinking that would hold up but it lasted even less time that the first unit and they tried to extort me again.
The icing on the cake... I replaced the brush head on the commercial unit and it still didn't work. So, in order to get a replacement unit they made me literally CUT THE CORD on live video AND PUT MY BROKEN VACUUM IN A LANDFILL! They blame Covid-19 for not being able to ship the units back... excuse me, but it's June of 2021 and we now know that an old vacuum is NOT going to give you Covid. I will never purchase another Shark/Ninja product again.

I have owned many vacuum cleaners over the years, all which last about a year or so if you vacuum daily due to pets and husband who tracks in a lot of dirt. The Shark duo clean is an average vacuum cleaner but it is disappointing. With 4-5 swipes it generally gets the dirt and pet hair up into the vacuum. The cord is not long enough and is not at all pliable which makes it extremely difficult to maneuver around without untangling the cord all the time and it is extremely annoying when you are just trying to get things cleaned up.
The lift away on this vacuum is not like the other one I had, it lifts but separates from the main rotating function so you have to plug a manual brush on to use it. The other you could do both. I normally would not bother with reviews but I am so tired of seeing the things that the vacuums could, should and are supposed to do. They really do not once you use them. I just wish someone out there would build a more sensible, basic vacuum cleaner that does what it is supposed to do. Thank you.

I bought a Shark Ninja HV 301 vacuum in December 2019. In January 2020, the motorized floor nozzle quick working. There was no warning that anything was wrong. The vacuum was supposed to have a 5 year warranty on non-wearable parts. I contacted Shark for a warranty replacement on the floor nozzle and they said that it was considered by them at their discretion to be a wearable part (e.g. bag, belt, filter) so they would not cover the product failure under the 5 year warranty. The floor nozzle is a part of the vacuum itself and clearly not a wearable part. After many calls and emails, they still would not cover the replacement. Without the floor nozzle the unit is useless. So much for a five year warranty and Sharks customer service.

We have used our Shark Navigator Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum approximately six times. It worked great. The sixth time we used it, the brush roller indicator light switched from green to red. It would not vacuum; the roller would not move. We followed directions in the manual, on YouTube, and from Shark Customer Service and nothing changed. Vacuum was clean with no clogs and it would not work. Shark Customer Service said I needed to buy a new part, the floor nozzle, at over $119 plus shipping (they later agreed during my second phone call to Customer Service to lower the amount to $59.50). This was a vacuum that cost over $340 and used six times. My expectation for a vacuum at that price was that it would work for at least a year.
The written 5-year warranty states that coverage is of the "original unit and/or non-wearable components deemed defective". The warranty states it does NOT cover "normal wear and tear of wearable parts (such as foam filters, HEPA filters, pads, etc.)". Customer Service is telling me that the vacuum head or floor nozzle is considered a wearable part like a filter and therefore is not covered under the five year warranty even though it clearly is part of the original vacuum unit. I am very disappointed as the written warranty seems very clear to me. I think most people purchasing a vacuum would assume the vacuum they purchase is a unit since no one goes into a store to purchase a vacuum without a floor nozzle and then goes over to the filter aisle to buy a disposable floor nozzle so they can use their vacuum.
If this was a $69 vacuum, I wouldn't hesitate to just buy another one. In fact, I have purchased vacuums in this price range and they lasted far longer than this $349 vacuum. This has shown me that companies who stand behind their products will get my business but Shark is not in that category. They promised a supervisor would call me back within 24 hours (at first they said 48 hours) but would not connect me to anyone else nor would they define for me what they consider "original unit", just that a vacuum head or floor nozzle was not part of the original unit.
Buyers beware! What seems clear on the warranty is simply not true. Last Shark product for me. Replacing a floor nozzle free of charge because it's defective, would be good business as well as responsible... and likely earn a life-long customer. Refusing to replace their defective floor nozzle and interpreting the warranty to cover only what they decide to cover is, in my opinion, unethical and poor business practice.

Shark is saying the wand is a wearable part like a filter and therefore is not under warranty. Are you kidding me? With that logic nothing on it would be under warranty. Here is the language from the 7yr Limited Warranty: What is covered by this warranty? The original unit and/or non-wearable parts deemed defective, in SharkNinja’s sole discretion, will be repaired or replaced up to seven (7) years from the original purchase date. What is not covered by this warranty? Normal wear and tear of wearable parts (such as foam filters, HEPA filters, pads, etc.), which require regular maintenance and/or replacement to ensure the proper functioning of your unit, are not covered by this warranty. If things like the wand are considered wearable they should be listed above along with the filters. Totally misleading. In reality the warranty is non-existent and a marketing SCAM.

I’ve had Roombas since they came out over a decade ago. I have been wanting to upgrade to the newest Roomba that had the dust storage bin as well, the idea of only needing to empty my vacuum dust bin about once a month versus every other day was very appealing. I started researching and saw that Shark also offered a monthly dust bin, and this dustbin did not use filters and bags, meaning that there would not be near as much waste involved. The one thing I hate is when a company sells you a product that makes you buy more products to continue using the original product. So I decided I would go with the shark so I wouldn’t have to buy dust bins for the Roomba. Boy, was that a mistake.
First off in tests they say that the shark had a better suction than the Roomba, but they failed to mention that the shark only has the better suction when it’s in max mode, and you also cannot have the shark automatically go into max mode with cleanings, you have to go into your app after it started cleaning and manually change the suction mode from normal to max. In addition it cannot clean carpet or rugs worth its life (even in max mode)- I still have to pull out my vacuum to vacuum my main rug in my living room weekly or every few days, or what I’ll do now is pull out my old roomba which I have stored in my office and I’ll bring it to vacuum my main rug since the shark does such a poor job.
I also have to now keep bedroom doors closed when I leave the home because the shark will always lock itself in the bedrooms, I’ve never had this issue with a Roomba in my life, and it kind of defeats the whole purpose of leaving the home and having a vacuum clean for you, if you have to leave several doors closed so it can’t go in the other rooms to clean while you’re away because it will lock itself in the room and then die. Speaking of dying, this shark regularly dies before it gets back to its charging base, when it doesn’t lock itself in rooms. Of all the times it leaves the base to clean, which I have it set on the schedule to clean every day, it probably returns to the charging base about 5-10% of the time. I normally find it dead somewhere in the hallway or under one of the beds that I have a paint can holding the door open to so that the shark won’t close the bedroom door and lock itself in there.
Honestly I would pay double the price of a Roomba at this point knowing that it would be a better vacuum than the shark. I recommend staying away from this cheap imitation! Even worse, even though I’ve only had it four months shark is refusing to do a return for me. The customer service has been extremely unhelpful and told me verbatim that they don’t stand behind their products and won’t offer a return. I mean that’s more than enough proof, and I wish I had recorded the phone conversation so I could let others know just how bad this company is to work with. They clearly don’t stand behind their products, and don’t care if you know it or not. Buyer beware!!!

The machine is not cheap and it was purchased thru a reputable retailer that directed me to the company. Shark has been my vacuum of choice for many years, in fact I recommended them to my mom, sister, brother, two sons, friends etc. For the most part they have been excellent, but seem to have went downhill in the last two years. So when My APX952 DuoClean started having the wheel fall off I called Shark, since I had a seven (7) year warranty. Looking at the problem the wheel isn’t held on by a screw, but is friction forced, and I noticed the lock washer holding the wheel on was missing.
So I call Shark to get a new wheel. Guess what, they don’t sell a wheel, so you can’t buy a replacement. Well at least I have a seven year warranty, and I’m not even in year three yet. So I call Shark, and I’m told the WHEEL isn’t covered, and I will have to buy a complete NEW power head unit. What? For just a wheel? Yes I’m told. Since I paid $400+ for the vacuum, I order the unit @ $90 ish dollars. I have a call out for management to contact me, but I’m not holding my breath. Shark, you lost a faithful customer, and I will never again darken your door/website. I don’t know where I will go, but it won’t be Shark. They just told me they won't replace the longer wand as it's not covered under warranty and if I need it replaced I need to pay for this. I literally just bought this on Sept 27th this year and it broke on October 31st. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS THEY DON'T BACK THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!

I had purchased a Shark vacuum about 4 years ago, at that time on their box, it had said they have a 10 year warranty. It finally bit the bullet and doesn't work anymore. I had called customer service to get some help. They told me that the vacuum was discontinued and that I would not be able to get a piece to replace it because it was discontinued. They also told me that when I got it 4 years, the box said a 10 year warranty, but currently they have changed it to a 5 year warranty. They informed me that they would not honor their old 10 year warranty when I bought it. So just a heads up to anyone.

I have had the most amazing customer experience with this company I have ever had with any company. To say that I am beyond satisfied and impressed with their product, customer service and tech support is an understatement. To start from the beginning. I purchased a Shark vacuum a few years ago. I was so amazed behind the power, maneuverability, and function in this machine. I have used it A LOT and put it to the test, never once had an issue. Here we are now a few years later and unfortunately the brush and suction started not to work. I almost ran out to go spend money on buying a new vacuum but decided to first call customer service and see if perhaps they could help troubleshoot it before determining it was completely broken.
I called and was pleased not to have been waiting on the phone forever to speak to a customer service specialist. I was waiting a few short minutes until I got someone live on the phone who greeted me with such joy and seemed eager to be able to assist me in any way possible. The customer service specialist was very attentive and understanding of my issue and assured me that I would be taken care of.
After describing the problem I was asked to accept a text message link which allowed the specialist to see exactly what I was looking at and had the ability to draw on the video feed in order to point out areas as we did the troubleshooting. As a technician by trade and I understand firsthand how tough it can be to troubleshoot things over the phone. This experience was the first I have had using this system and it completely blew my mind away. How AMAZING AND EASY it was to be able to run through diagnostics and if I was uncertain, she would just circle an area to make things clear for me and it was as easy as that. She made things very simple to understand.
So at first, it was determined that before the brush could be fixed the motor had to be replaced. At this point she even said all I needed to do was cover shipping and handling which was less than $20 & they would be more than happy to send out a new motor. A few days later the package arrived and I was surprised by how fast it came. Excited to think that would fix the problem, ufortunately it did not. I was not worried at all because the customer specialist assured me that if for any reason this did not resolve my issue that they would make sure to do what they needed to do in order to get it working.
So I called customer service and again was greeted with some very polite and pleasant who was more than happy to assist with my issues. Going over the steps we had already taken to try and get things up and running, she advised we needed to replace the entire bottom piece. She looked in the system and saw that since it was an older model it would take a month to get in a replacement part but said that no shipping cost would be needed that they would be more than happy to send it out when it becomes available. So I figured no biggie, I got a shop vac that will make due for now and at this point I have spent less than a couple of weeks and only $20. What will a couple more weeks be. Pretty much getting an all new Vacuum for only $20, so who am I to argue.
THE BIGGEST SHOCK YET and after this moment Shark had won me OVER FOR LIFE. Not expecting something in the mail for about a month, I was shocked to have received a package from Shark a few days later. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Instead of just replacing the broken piece, they sent an entirely brand new vacuum!!!! The newest model. Speechless and completely blown away. As a consumer for many years and having worked in customer service myself. I have never in my entire life seen a company that has absolutely amazed me start to finish like this with customer service and how they handle issues. It just shows what kind of team Shark has. I always believe it starts from the top and it sure shows what incredible leadership is taking place. Once again I truly RECOMMEND this company to everyone and I will be a supporter of Shark for life. THANK YOU SHARK TEAM for all of your expertise, hard work AND absolutely incredible customer service.

I bought the Shark vacuum duo upright self-cleaning. It is not as powerful as they make it out to be. The accessories were cheaply made and the Vacuum is NOT cordless. I cannot stand the vacuum up and a base pod did not come with it so if I don't mount it on the wall then it has to be laid on the floor because it is so top-heavy. I find myself stopping as much as my other cheaper brands to get stuff out of the so-called best suction and clean brush. It did not come with any wall mounts or base station, unlike just about every vacuum I have bought. For the price, I will take a Dyson over this thing. I had a Dyson for 10 years and it still is going strong. I gave it to my son. Wish I would of gone that way!!!

Based on great experience and long life with first 2 purple Sharks, I expected nothing less from the green powered Lift-Away I bought last year. Died after 14 months. Called customer service; grilled then curtly told I can pay $20 for them to ship me just a new motor. 7 year warranty is limited, you see. I found a consumer services email; reached out and got a free replacement pod/lower assembly shipped to me free. Died after 15 minutes. Emailed again, now they point to the limited warranty as justification I pay shipping for a new 1. Pathetic. Bye Shark, wish it could have been on better terms..sure started great.

We purchased a new Shark rotator vacuum in April of 2019 because they had good reviews. We got it and I loved it, it worked well. Went away for 5 months over the winter and last week the roller brush stopped working. Went online to troubleshoot it and found out you cant fix it. My wife called shark and since it was over a year old they would send us out a whole new roller brush assembly because you cant access the belt that is broken. They said we could replace it for only $89.00. We have used it for less than a year, since we were away for 5 months. We have no children, just the 2 of us. I wont be buying another shark since now I have to go purchase another vacuum.

I purchased a Shark Rotator powered lift away speed vacuum, model # NV682, less than 3 years ago. The roller brush stopped working. I could hear plastic pieces moving around in the head compartment, and saw that they had chipped away from the roller brush. I called 2 weeks ago to get it replaced. They can’t just replace the roller itself, they have to replace the whole head. It has a 7 year warranty.... And it looks like that’s how long it’s going to take to receive the part! I received an email stating "due to the popularity of this part, It is out of stock and they are unable to say when they expect to get them." Yes, it’s popular because they break in all their machines! Almost all reviews I’ve read, have the same issue. I have 2 very furry cats, new carpets, and NO VACUUM for an undetermined amount of time!!?? They offered NO SOLUTION other than to wait! I will never purchase from them again!

Obviously there is a problem with that same piece that it keeps breaking so why not replace it for me as a customer but instead want to charge me almost $100 for the part that I have to replace the whole bottom.

The shark is the best when it comes to performance and longevity. Now other family members and friends have purchased one. They all have bragged about the high performance and how long they have had it as well. We have never owned a lightweight vacuum until we bought this Shark. It has been the best vacuum we have ever owned! It picks up better than any of our previous vacuums. It is easy to maneuver. Makes vacuuming a breeze and that is not easy to say in a 3500 sq. ft. house! It is corded so I can not compare it to a cordless but it has a lot of suction power! It picks up all of our dog's fur, gets underneath all of the furniture. It is easy to maneuver with the twist of the wrist. I do wish I could disconnect the cord to empty it but that is the only thing that is a minor nuisance. I would buy another one when this one dies.

Very impressed with the design for easy cleaning pull apart and put back together all the parts, interchanging attachments, the clicking in and out to go under furniture. Good suction and easy emptying. Easy to remove blockages and stringy things wound around roller brush. It is better for a clean house maintenance with small debris entering house but not so good with larger debris/ grass/ paper bits. Smooth running, light to use, very maneuverable and gets right up to corners of skirting, sleek, attractive design, lights up ahead of dark areas being cleaned.
