I found out about SecureYourHome from a friend. Installation of the system went great and everything was fine with their sales and the scheduling. The system itself is good, too, but the only thing I have a problem with is the price. I figured I could get a better price than $46. I could have gotten a better price of $27 a month. With the $46, I only have two monitors and one keypad and a pad at the house on the wall.

Having the ADT monitoring system gives a nice sense of security, but the only downside is the interface of the app seizes out and it's not working right now. However, other than that it works fine and our experience with them was great. The specialist from SecureYourHome was phenomenal and the installer from Gaylord Security was professional, thorough and he gave us practical advice on what we need.

It was a good experience with SecureYourHome and Gaylord and I would recommend them. I have their very basic package, but the system makes me feel better and more secured at home.

When I purchased a standard alarm system from SecureYourHome, everything went wonderful with my interaction with the specialist. I purchased our alarm panel from SecureYourHome. The sales specialist was great and and the gentleman from Gaylord did an excellent job. I just want to know why their records don't reflect that we had it installed before we ever moved in. My husband is getting frustrated because everyday in the mail he gets a letter addressed to him saying, "Welcome to the neighborhood, this is a special offer. This is why you should get this." Apart from that, I would recommend them.

That was a bad taste in my mouth because I'm paying $56 a month, and then a lot of people were offering me $39 instead. We didn't have any problems with those who did the scheduling process for the system. The installer who came out was great. He came both times because my husband wasn't here and we had a problem with the camera. But that camera thing that shows just one and a half anyway, so I thought we were fine with that. But then my husband said, "Well, where are the ones outside? That's where we're having trouble with those people breaking into the cars and boat." I said, "Well, I didn't understand that." So then we called and they scheduled another appointment. They came out and he's very efficient and he get out in dawn before I realized he arrived. Everybody from Secure Your Home has been so exceptional and they had been great in calling and contacting us and telling us what we need to do. The whole company, every representative, everybody, has been nothing but very professional and I appreciate it.

The SYH sales rep was great and the installation process was very easy. We got the basic package with the addition of our windows and doors. With the security system in place, we do have peace of mind and fewer worries. It has been a great experience with them. They're reliable and kind.

It's alright with SecureYourHome including their staff but I wasn't pleased with the installation done by Gaylord Security. I'm not happy with one of the sensors that's on the back door. Every time the wind blows, it sends a signal that something's wrong. Before with my other system, I had it connected to our little house in the back and we couldn't get a signal back there.

Gaylord is the local company here where we live. We got it in the phone book. The specialist during the sales and scheduling process was very courteous. All the service was very prompt. We were very happy with the way everything was set up so quickly. We were leaving town and they were able to expedite things and get it set up fast for us. Installing the security system was very good. I do feel better since installing it. We're often away from home so that's a big plus for us knowing that its being monitored. We just purchased the basic package so we don't have fire protection or medical emergency notification. I was hoping that we could get a reduction on our AAA Homeowners insurance but they told me that we can't get anything unless we have the fire protection. So that was a little bit of a disappointment but that's not their fault. They were excellent in every way and we would recommend them to our friends.

The problem was discussed and with regarding my complaint with this company with Bill, and he heard me out. He also helped me understand why I was so confused and upset at the installer and said he would try and make the system more clear from the beginning. Bill also said he would follow up with the installer, as there may be a need to "watch" his dealings with customers going forward. At this point, the attempt to resolve this issue would be given a star-rating 5.

The installation of the security system seemed to be all right until I had the first problem. One sensor is too sensitive. Something happened so it didn't clear. The installer said to call them if I had any problems. I called him, he was busy,and he couldn't do it. I called the other people and I haven't heard from a person since. I was satisfied to start with until they said someone would be calling me back and come out and I've never heard anything.

When we lived in Alabama, I had an ADT security system. When we moved out to our ranch, I also had ADT. But when my husband passed away, I moved into town and lived in a rented house. I cancelled the one out at the ranch so I wouldn’t have to pay the extra amount, then I got a system from SecureYourHome. I called ADT and asked them about the strange anomalies that were going on. The timestamps especially on videos and sensors seem to be totally whacked. I've got videos that are timestamped like 10:30 in the morning and it's at night time. Other than that, it's pretty good. The last couple of days, for some reason, it's just not been where it should be. It seems to be like five hours off or something close to that, because last night I could have sworn I heard it go off as far as just one time.

They came out on a Saturday, so that was convenient to not have to miss work, and the gentleman showed up on time within the window that was given to us. Overall, they were pleasant. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and discussed what was necessary at the time or not necessary. They had all the necessary hardware they needed to get the job done one-time visit. We already had some pre-existing wiring from the previous people that lived there so that might have helped out. We have motion sensors going off on everything. I definitely wanted this ability, how things are going on besides the fact I can set it, lock everything and feel secure, but it’s not that we feel super unsecured before.

SecureYourHome was dishonest and lacks communication. I've had the worst experience. The first time when I called, I didn't call the regular ADT number to get set up and they had a $4.99 special deal. That's what I see everybody has and we're charged $45 a month. I questioned that and they said, "That's just what you had in your contract." Then we are part of First Credit Union and we get other offers and stuff since we're members and there was something on ADT stating that we would have discounts and offers so I called SecureYourHome or Gaylord itself and they transferred me to ADT who then told me that since we went to an authorized dealer, which was not something I asked for, that wouldn't qualify or they wouldn't even look into it and I'm stuck paying the rest of it all. I had to pay almost $600 of another payment which I was not informed of upfront.

However, I didn't realize that the way for me to put screens on my window has to be propped on the inside where the sensor is. It blocks where I can put a screen. It's really not ideal with my windows.

We feel the ADT system is working better than our former security system. The only downside on my part is that we’ve been gone a lot and haven’t really had time to learn about its features or even give an appropriate test. So I’m derelict in my own personal follow-up. But I'm happy with it and it's fine. We might come back and add a few additional things to it at some point in time. But we haven't gotten to that process yet.

After my installation, I ended up getting some marketing material in the mail talking about 10 free window sensors and I don't know why that didn't happen at the time of installation - that would have been a better time for that. My husband hasn't gotten used to it yet and has already set it off twice. He was in the bathroom one time, he's got the remote and set the alarm off. I was asking myself what was that noise and the closer I came to the front of the house, the more I realized it's the alarm. I turned it off and was worried about it. They called my cellphone but I didn't answer it because I was on the other end of the house. When I looked out the side windows, there were two cops in our garage and they're swarming around. I hollered at him for turning the alarm on but he didn't know it. I told him to leave his keys when he goes in the bathroom. But it was awesome! We are so pleased with it and glad we got it.

I gave him all high scores on the referral. Their people are always pleasant and professional. Anytime they see an alarm that's gone off, they call in a timely manner and do the protocol. I've been very satisfied. The tenant is more secure knowing that it is protected. I recommend it.

One of SecureYourHome's representatives walked up to my door while I was moving in. She's nice about the scheduling because as I was moving, I didn't have a lot of time to talk to her. But I told her when I was free and she scheduled it for me and we interacted between texts. I purchased the most basic package because the area that I’m living in now isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The person that came to install it was efficient and explained everything that I needed to know. He also asked if I had any questions and I didn’t.

I purchased the standard home install from the SecureYour Home specialist who was good. The installation of by Gaylord Security was great. However, once they installed it, they said that we had to have the inspection with the city for the electrical and they were going to have the office call us in a month to schedule it. Though I never got a call that they were coming, a dude showed up at my house this morning at around 8:30. It was a guy from the city and he inspected the house this morning when my wife was there. Overall, they were great except for that one thing.

I've had a good experience with SecureYourHome and Gaylord during the sales and scheduling process, but I was disappointed when the technician came. I was surprised that the sensors were expensive, they cost $500. I almost cancelled at that time when he was there, but I didn't because I didn't want to be rude to him. I'm paying in three payments just for the sensors and that means a lot. I had Central Security before, but they provided me with all the sensors without charge. Also, I was told that installation was for only $99 and I was surprised when he told me that he was going to install only the two main doors and the garage, and that was included in the $99. So I said, "Oh, I cannot do that because I already have sensors in all my windows and doors, everywhere in my house".

I was told about ADT when I bought a house. The sales and scheduling process with the SecureYourHome specialists were good and the installation of our security system by Gaylord Security was excellent. I feel safer because I have a security system on my home. Gaylord was great. They were very friendly, helpful, and not pushy. The only thing that got me was when I got an offer in the mail from ADT two weeks after the installation saying, "Hey, welcome to your new home. Here's what we can offer you." I could have gotten more for less from ADT, yet I already had ADT. That's bothersome and frustrating. I was going to call ADT and find out what that was all about because it's a lower price and more sensors for free.

We learned about ADT through people who used the system. We did not have any problems at all during the sales and scheduling process. We feel much safer with the ADT monitored security system in. We're very pleased with it.

SecureYourHome/Gaylord Security has great, friendly and fast service especially the man that came in to install it. He was very helpful and showed me a lot of how to work a lot of it and everything. The house we moved into already was through ADT and we already had the security pad installed so he just had to come in and update a couple of things. And then he left another updated wireless remote. I like the fact that with ADT if I forget to set it before I leave I can use my mobile phone - the app to set it. I love it and I'd recommend it.

My system is working fine except that I can’t get it off Eastern Time. I go into the settings menu and change it, the next day I look at it and it’s back to where it was before. Other than that, the company has been professional, on time, and we feel better knowing that the different routes in going out are monitored. I’d recommend them.

A woman from my bank referred me to SecureYourHome when she heard that I had a break-in. SYH's specialists were good but lady was not accurate on a couple of things which I'm not too happy about. I told her that I might be in the process of moving out of state and she said that I have to wait for 15 months before I can sever the contract without penalty and she wants to sell it to the new owner as well. I talked to the realtor and she said that she spoke to ADT since that didn't sound right at all. ADT will sever the contract immediately as long as I sign up again in another state and that was very misleading. Moreover, she also told me that my dog would absolutely not set off the motion detector. My dog was was under 80 lbs and she sets it off at least 2 or 3 times a day so that's not accurate either. Other than that, the installation person was very good and professional.

I'm satisfied with our experience with SecureYourHome and Gaylord. The security system we got works fine and I feel definitely safer since it was installed. Gaylord also kept me well-informed during the installation - we had no problems and they were great. Moreover, the sales and scheduling process with SecureYourHome had been excellent.

The guy from Gaylord Security who installed my ADT security system was very nice and very efficient. He knew what he was doing and made sure I understood everything before he left. He also had me go through with him the phone and computer apps as well as the actual keypad itself. Gaylord installed the security system on my previous house so I chose them for our current one. The sales and scheduling process went well although I was disappointed with the sales guy I talked to because I was quite clear that I had pre-wired house. But when the tech came out, he had no information that that was the case and that's what I wanted. But that wasn't their fault. We had the installation team come back out to finish it and they did a good job. I still got to get the app set up on my wife's phone, and we'll start using it then. Overall, my experience with Gaylord has been good so I would recommend them to people.

I know a number of people that have ADT and it seemed like it was the logical thing to try. It's all good to get the security. I called SecureYourHome for sales and scheduling and it was pretty good. But in that call, I ended up with more expenses of top of what I thought I was going to have and it's a little bit of a surprise. Maybe I didn't ask the right questions.

Nothing's working with our ADT system. The keypad is not labelled with anything, so I have no idea what the keys are for. It also doesn’t work, but nobody from ADT has called me to monitor it. When I try to call somebody at night, I'd have to go through a menu... but I don't want a menu. Before, with my previous alarm company, I can call a number and tell them that I had an intruder come in, but now, if there's a guy at my front door with a gun, I press 1 to call customer service? I don't think so! I couldn’t get a hold of anybody! And even if I dial an 800 number, there’s nobody to talk to. I'm paying for something that's not working, for which I wasn't monitored with. I have tried to call, but customer service is only open until 5 pm. I’m not happy with it at all.

Scheduling online with SecureYourHome was fine but their technician showed up 4 hours late.

Everything was fine with my experience with Gaylord. I have to call them though because I had to change the debit card that I gave them when they were setting it in with another one so I can pay the bills.

Installation was great. Their guys were helpful, laid out different options, and took care of what we needed. We were not sure if the sound part of the alarm wasn’t working properly so we needed to call them, and the interactions we have had with them have been great.

I was having trouble with the security system I had and was considering making a change. Then the contractors working at my house said that they have ADT and coincidentally I have also been getting emails about it so I gave them I call. The sales experience was wonderful and everything has been very positive. The guy who installed was very knowledgeable. He had a little problem when he had to communicate to the office to get things done right because we don't get cell service up here. But the installation was completed. Fortunately I haven't had any emergencies or break-ins so hopefully that won't happen. I feel very secure and happy with my system. I've already recommended them to my friends.

During the sales and scheduling process, I felt I was misled by the SecureYourHome specialist. He asked me how many doors and windows I had in my house, which led me to believe that I was gonna get door and window sensors. When the installation guy from Gaylord came out to install the system, he was great but I had to pay extra for those things and I was never told that.

The installation of my SecureYourHome security system was fine but they spent more time on it than the training and the training sucked. They were in a hurry and didn't give me a lot of explanation so we don't know the system that well. They tried to teach everything in about 6 minutes and I had to call help center the other day. They should come back to explain the system more to me because it's a useless system for us right now. We're not using it at all.

We've never been able to set our home security system because one of the doors isn't connecting. It seemed to be working after installation but then the first time we tried it, it didn't work. The only question I have is how do I pay for it because I don't recall getting a bill and I need to get it up online so I can forget about it. The SecureYourHome guy did a great job in installing. I had SecureYourHome previously when my mom had the services from them at a rental property that I was renting from her a couple of years ago. I always had never had any complaints or had any issues with them, so I felt the system was pretty easy to operate. I also thought that would have been a good way for us to go so we signed up again. There were no problems, no issues with the installation and the guy was very friendly and nice and explained everything. I ended up getting more protection. Now I feel more confident, having fewer worries. I'm a single mom with two kids so there's definitely no real worries or issues that I have. I feel more secure, especially locking, click or locking, disarm it or push the panic if for some reason somebody approached me at the car. Being able to do all that helps out a lot.

I called my electric company to turn on my new service and then they advised me of the program, and if I wanted to look into it. When the specialist arrived he showed me how to operate it, as well as the security features and then handed me the contract. However, he didn't explain to me that they were going to take the money out of my account automatically. It was disgruntling because I was on a fixed income, so my money comes at a certain time. But when I called the company and found out the date it would be pulled out, I would have to adjust my stuff in order to be able to pay the bill appropriately. I am happy with their services, but a little disheartening because it's unplanned. SecureYourHome need to have that information right up front.

The SecureYourHome specialist was very cooperative and gave me a lot of information. He did it right and made sure everything was working fine. However, the process took a little longer than necessary and I had to clean up the boxes after they left. Other than that, everything was good.

The guy who installed the security system was nice, he taught us how to use it. However I'm not happy with my security system right now. It stopped working and it has not worked for this whole month. I don't know if that's because of the front door expanding or contracting, but it won't let us set an alarm. I'm not blaming it on SecureYourHome, but it's not my fault as well. However, I don't want to be charged a service fee for them to come out and fix it.

I wanted to use my existing security system but they would not do it so I looked for somebody that would. ADT said they would and when they came out, it was still the same story. If I wanted them to wire things up, it was going to cost me some $3000 so I ended up just accepting it. The technician was good but I was not happy with the pricing. If I stayed with the original company, it would've been a bit cheaper for what I perceived as even better hardware than what SecureYourHome and Gaylord Security were providing. Their hardware is an old technology.

They failed to tell me that I had to have an internet system put in to have cameras. My understanding was that it was all Wi-Fi and that it was through my cell phone. They never mentioned that I needed to have the internet or I would have had that in place so that I could've had cameras. And they couldn't put in certain things because they'd forgotten things and didn't have the right equipment. So it was not a real good experience. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

I feel more comfortable at night since the installation of my security system. I have a heads up if someone does get in. The installation of Gaylord Security went fine but I'm not happy with the product. I put the original alarm system and it had no problems at all. Then when Gaylord came, they replaced everything that I had and the motion detectors was one of the things that I had a problem with. They've had to replace it twice and it still gives a false alarm which doesn't make sense. I don't understand why it's still doing that but I had to shut the motion detectors off in order to keep my dog inside and they haven't worked.

We're happy with the service. Having them come and trade our service to our new location was easy. It was a whole day affair almost, as they had to go to my old house, take out some equipment and bring it up here, but everything was on time and scheduled and they got everything done in the same day.

The previous owners of our house had ADT installed so we called them and Gaylord came. They had to put a new box because the old one was too old. The installer took care of it, told us how long it would take with them and did what he said he would do. The process was good, easy and efficient. We didn't have WiFi so he immediately set up another appointment to come back and fix that. I was happy but there was just one issue. I'm now nesting with all this old equipment and I don't know what to do with them. They didn't clear the old ones because they said that they're not allowed to. So I'm going to follow up with them and figure out what that all means.

It's less than three months since I had my security system operational. The cell service died then the person came to reset it and it seems to be working so far. The experience was kind of up and down from the beginning to the end of the process but overall I am satisfied with Secure Your Home.

The panel for the alarm system installed is huge and is on a wall. The technician didn't even think about it if it was in direct sight of the window from my front door or not. If I happen to leave my blinds open for any reason, you can see exactly what the alarm is set to, so it is not a great location. Also, a unit with a cover wasn't even offered. However, the one at my daughter's has a cover.
