Rollup Awnings gave us a good deal when we got a regular awning from them. They were professional, came on time and finished the work right away. And now we're outside enjoying the awning right now under the big sun since it's going to rain tomorrow. It has been a perfect experience.

We purchased an awning from Rollup and are very pleased with the product as well as the company. The salesman Sean was informative and thorough in showing us the different choices in awnings. The installation crew arrived on time and did a nice job. Rollup recommended an electrician to do the needed electrical work and Paul from Custom Electric responded and was on time and did a nice, neat job. We encountered a minor problem with the motor needing to be reprogrammed and Rollup was very responsive and sent a technician out the very next day to correct the problem. The awning looks great and is manufactured with top of the line material. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Rollup Awnings was one of the approved vendors in the condominium complex I'm in, and I've been wanting to have an awning so I decided to purchase the special motor package for the summer. It looks good and was installed quickly. When the appointment date was set up, the rep couldn't tell what time they were coming until that morning which meant I can't really plan anything else for my day because I don't know anything and I needed to wait until 9:30 to call for that. Well, the team up showed up at my door at 9:00 which was great. I was glad to get it done. Even though the awning is a better product, it's expensive

We had a deck built so we wanted a new awning to go over it and got Rollup Awnings. Their team was excellent and the salesman was very accommodating. Overall, it was an outstanding customer satisfaction.

The other awning was acting up. The motor went and it was faded. I and my son put it up and it lasted eight years. The salesman from Rollup Awnings was nice and made a few suggestions. He originally picked a different awning, which I thought I wanted too until I got the price. I bought a cheaper awning which I paid $2,700, but it was good. When the deal was set, we got the date and the installers put it up. They took all the mess with them and were very neat workers. I like that they extended the awning longer and we covered a picnic table. My wife and I are very well satisfied.

I called Rollup Awnings and they sent their rep out here to have us see how everything worked. We made the arrangements and within a couple of weeks, everything was measured and installed. We’re enjoying the awning. I couldn’t be happier and it couldn’t have been better for my husband and myself at our stage of our lives. Rollup Awnings have very wonderful people. We’re enjoying the quality of the Rollup shade itself, plus the guys who did the installation and even down to the electrician who set up everything for us outside. The experience with them was fantastic.

I’ve tried SunSetter and others and their price were extremely higher so we chose Rollup Awnings. We live in a corner house which is very windy. We have no peace in the summer time because of the wind and the sun so we purchased Rollup. And now, even though we haven’t got any hot days yet, it has been protecting the house and our dining room from the sun. We have both the electric with the monitor to open and the manual one. Their team was very good, explicit, courteous, and they don’t do anything on their own. They ask us to see if it is right or if we like it. Moreover, they’re very responsible. They tell us what time they're coming and if it is raining and they cannot do the work, they call on time and let us know. Their electrician was very reasonable too and very amiable.

Rollup was on our condominium preferred list. After speaking with competitor, we felt their quality was superior so we purchased from them. We open the awning for sun and light rain protection. Overall, Rollup's people were very professional and we were happy with their service.

Rollup Awnings were fabulous. They came when they said they were going to do it. They put the awning up and were very efficient. It was a very pleasant experience, right from the salesperson, to the people calling the house, and to the installers. We have barbecues and get-togethers at the back of my house so I had Rollup install an automatic awning there. Their installers were incredible and it was an excellent experience, that's why I've recommended them to friends and family. In fact, my brother also bought awning from Rollup.

My husband and I have a friend who had recently put in an awning at his place in Belford. My husband came home and he told me that the awning pulls up and that it's easy. I told him I'll look into it. We weren’t able to sit down at our deck since the sun covers the whole thing until about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. When I happened to be in that area where our friend said he got his awning from, I stopped in and looked at it. The gentleman there gave me a free quotation. I picked a particular awning material to suit the coloring in our house that I wanted. We also had it so that when it was raining we could lower it so that the water drips off easier. We had a special cover put on it so that it could be encased in the winter time. We had the rod that comes down that we can roll up by hand which adjusts the angle of the awning. We had a scallop put in if we wanted to use it.

The awning which we bought from Rollup Awnings in 2013 is very nice. However, when put it down to show somebody, it came up halfway and then wouldn’t go up anymore. The motor was fine, but we had to get it reset so Rollup Awnings came in and reset it. Getting help from them was an excellent experience but we had to pay for a service fee for them to do it. It happened to be the one day it was windy and snowing so we also had to wait a day for them to be in the area. Other than that, we haven’t had any issues with the awning.

A friend of mine referred Rollup Awnings when we had problems with the heat on the deck. The reps were very friendly. We were greeted as soon as we went in to make a purchase. When their team showed up to install, they showed up when they said would, and they were done in a timely fashion. It was a clean and good job. I like what I got and it came out exactly as I expected. The colors are beautiful, and it looks like a great product. The only drawback is the day they put it up, it started getting cold here, so I haven't had the chance to use it. But overall, it was a very pleasurable experience.

One of my neighbors used Rollup Awnings and told me about it. I've always wanted one and it was a point where I had the money to pay for it, so that's when I took action. I called, and the gentleman was very nice. We talked about the fabrics and I picked out the one that I thought was best suited for us. I got the one with a switch and the awning rolls in and out. The installers and the electrician did a good job. Everything was satisfactory. I would definitely recommend Rollup Awnings to anyone who can afford to spend $5,000.

We had an awning before but it wasn’t a Rollup. We would take it down and put it up at the end and beginning of every season respectively. That became to be a bit of a pain so we decided to have a new one. We estimated the prices with different awning companies and Rollup Awnings was the most reasonable. We went with them and they’re a pleasure to deal with. We’ve been very happy with their product, too. It’s very easy to use. I’m glad that we did include the remote control.

I had my awning put up a few years ago. I went to Rollup Awnings and the son of the owner was very helpful, and then we scheduled installation. There had been some question about the scheduling or how to pay them, but it really wasn't a problem and we cleared it up. I asked them a lot of questions and they put it up for me. It's beautiful and I love it. It meets the expectations that they said it would and it gave me what I wanted in an awning. I picked my fabric and I have a hand crank. I knew not going with a totally enclosed option that it might wear out quicker, but I didn't want to spend the money on that and the motor. So I accepted what I have and it's working fine. I would recommend it to friends and I'm very satisfied with the experience.

Hurricane Sandy took my last shade tree down so I bought an awning from Rollup. I like the salesperson that I dealt with and it was great interacting with their team. I very much enjoyed the product.

Nothing but the best with Rollup Awnings. They're wonderful and I have had them since 1990. I'm from Germany and grew up with rollups. We bought a different house and it had two sliding doors and two big windows. We got the awnings to get warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. When the children were small or I'm babysitting, I can leave them halfway down or up. They're electric and so convenient.

The awning is on our rear deck that faces southeast and it gets a lot of sun. It shades our kitchen and gives us a sitting area on the deck. When it rains, I put it out and have my barbecue under it. Everyone says it's expensive, I do too, but I am very satisfied. I am very happy with the whole process.

I was sweating on my deck, so I decided to get awnings from Rollup. I got one of the high-end ones where the whole roll is protected. It's wonderful. Their team includes the owner's son, and he was wonderful. He explained how I could cut some cost, get what I needed, and where the shade goes. The minute I go outside, the awning comes down. It was nice and warm, so we used it on Christmas eve because it's right outside my big room where my bar is. It also makes the living room bigger. The whole experience was wonderful. Our neighbor cut down trees and we got a lot of sun in our deck. We couldn’t be out there so that’s why we put the awning. But I wish I had made the awning a little larger but no problem. Most times we use it during the day. Unfortunately, the sun goes down in the west and it comes right under the awning. It is something we didn’t think of and when we have our dinner, very often it’s too sunny. We can’t use it. It wasn’t their fault, although they should tell me that the sun wouldn’t go all the way under the awnings.

Rollup Awnings is a good product. We did the basic electrical awning and the most recent one, the regular manual roll-up about eight feet in both width and length. I've been using it all the time when it's sunny when I want to barbecue and relax. I just have to press a button and I just roll them up. There's even a switch because it's electrical. When you turn it on, the motor stops, so if you forget to leave it on position, the motor reaches the maximum and doesn't overheat so it's very good. In my parents' house, it's a roll-up that rolls quick in about 30-40 seconds. Material is fine and I didn't have to replace anything as of yet.

I have rollup shutters that I close at night on all the windows in my office. There was a company that used to do them and we were having problems off and on. The shutters have been here for many years, and it was very difficult when I needed new motors and things to repair them. That's why I started looking for other companies and I ended up with Rollup. They had to put new shutters on. They did my first group of windows and now they're going to finish doing the other windows that have started to act up.

In the summer, we would sit on our deck in the backyard where it would get so darn hot that we figured it’s time to purchase an awning. We got awnings with the remote control and it’s the best thing we ever did. The only thing that we have found is that in the spring, sometimes birds would make a nest in the rollup on the side of the house, and we’ve had to put aluminum foil in each of the corners so the birds stay out of there.

I have Rollup Awnings in two houses and I'm extremely happy with it. Also, when we're outside on the patio and it starts to drizzle, I open it up. The awning blocks the sun from coming in the slider doors so that the living room doesn't get really hot in the hot weather.

We had been researching getting an awning for some kind and there are really two main players in that market. One of them is the big national Sunbrella Group and the other being Rollup. We had actually spoken to Rollup once before and liked the product. While we had another means of providing shade, we decided to take the next step and get something that was more elegant and effective. The awning that we ordered from Rollup was motorized with one of their suggested fabrics. Their team was good too. We caught them at the time of year when they didn’t have their normal sales staff so we were dealing with one of the principals, and he was a good guy. It's the end of the season here and we have barely used it but we're looking forward to using it a lot next year.

Rollup Awnings is definitely the best awning company around. I live in a new development and they’ve taken down every single tree. My backyard faces southwest and I have no shade whatsoever so I bought awning from Rollup Awnings for shade. They have the best reviews online and I know someone that used them personally. Rollup Awnings gave away a free motor so I got a motor but I upgraded to the remote control and the thing that I can close it if I lose power. They also have hundreds of different colors and I picked one that matched my siding, and they didn’t charge me extra for the color.

We've had Rollup Awnings shutters for 30 years and we just recently had new ones put in. They offer a very good, unique product and they provide good support too. Also, they last long. I would recommend them.

Rollup Awnings were excellent. I went over there and they told me what I needed and they came and put it in and it was beautiful. Years ago, they had put in an awning that goes out. Then about a week ago, they put a shutter to go up over my door, on my beach house which I picked up for storms. It was a gear motor. Moreover, the team from Rollup Awnings did a great job. The guys that came were helpful and they cleaned up.

I went to somebody's house wh had an awning up and I realized that I never sat on my back porch because it was too hot. I just said "You know what? I'm getting an awning and hopefully that will do the trick in the summer." I heard about Rollup Awnings from my sister-in-law. Her sister had one done and one of my customers also told me about it. They said that they were very good so I had Rollup come in and I hired them to install a motorized one that retracts by pushing a button. They were very professional. They did a nice, neat job and so far I'm very happy with it.

Rollup Awnings is coming to address the problem. They cared. I was unhappy and they are now going to correct whatever is wrong. This gives them a good rating in customer service. Sorry for former comment. I was feeling pushed aside and now I don't.

We just bought a new house in Southampton and we have an awning but had to get a replacement and somebody recommended Rollup. They were terrific and did a beautiful job. They helped us choose what we wanted, the size and the fabric. Mr. Braun, the owner could not have been nicer. There was a little bit of misunderstanding but he took care of it very kindly and professionally. They are highly professional, very good, fair, honorable and honest people.

Rollup Awnings have a longer reach than most of the awning companies. So far I'm very happy with my awning from them. Their team was very good, responsive and quick.

I got an awning 15 years ago from Rollup Awnings. It's a big one and I use it a lot during the summer times. Although I don't like giving the company a bad review, I did have a lot of problems when I first got it, so I wouldn't recommend it. But that's water under the bridge now. Recently, I had their people come out to have the awning fixed because it lifted from the roof. They were fine and I didn't have a problem.

When my other awnings broke, I decided to purchase from Rollup Awnings. I got the rollup shades in the front but one of the mechanism got broken. It's the pole that raises and lowers the shade which you have to do manually because others are electric. It wasn't a real big thing, I just went out and bought a new one. But I did think I should get two of those poles because I bought two awnings and spent $8300 on those things. Although, I did like the chain mechanism instead of the cable that most people use and the team at Rollup Awnings was good even though there's a little miscommunication on customer service. But overall, my experience with Rollup Awnings was great, I definitely would recommend them. They make a great awnings and it is everything they said it would be.

Although it's wrinkled a little bit (nothing really damaged), the team from Rollup Awnings said they'll come back to stretch and fix it.

We are looking for an awning for our deck with sliding doors off the back of our house. It faces west and the sun is very intense in the afternoon. That's why we inquired and purchased from Rollup Awnings. Tony, the salesman in the West Hampton office, was very thorough. He covered every aspect of the awning (material, motor and such). But the awning we initially contracted for was too large. We came home and measured, and it would have been too large for the area we wanted to cover. So I called the factory the next day and the owner, Raybon, answered the phone and said, “Come out and I’ll deal with you personally, and we’ll work everything out.” He did and we're extremely satisfied.

When I replaced my deck, it was too hot sitting outside so we purchased some shade from Rollup Awnings. We had it motorized and we picked out a certain pattern so now we really enjoy using it. And their staff have been very nice and friendly so I’d recommend them.

I had a deck that was too hot in the sun and I love a retractable awning, so I did some research, due diligence, and found my way to Rollup Awnings. Their team were very good, professional and better than any of the other companies. I bought from them a big awning which is 21ft. x 11 ft. It's a green and white striped awning with a straight fringe on the bottom. It's also automatic - it goes down when the sun comes out and goes back up when the sun goes back. Apparently, the awning cuts down the heat mode tremendously not only on the deck but also in the house. It's very good and better than SunSetter. So, I'd recommend Rollup Awnings!

I purchased an awning from them years ago. It was a roof mount which was supposed to sit on a 2 x 12 board wrapped in white aluminum. When they installed this unit they could not get the tube straight. The tube is where the fabric rolls into, which meant that it was rolling in and out wrinkled. So they removed it and took the brackets for the awning which mount to the 2 x 12 and welded these ridiculous looking wings on each side of the bracket and mounted it that way to the roof. It looked hideous. I removed it and mounted it the way it was supposed to be mounted originally on the 2 x 12 board and cut them wings off the bracket and guess what, it worked perfectly for many years. Rollup had called me in the early wanting to give me an estimate on replacing the fabric and I told them, "Yes," and they said that they would call back. They never did.

My husband built a deck and wanted an awning. Rollup Awnings uses extremely high components - that's why we originally went with them. We use our awning all the time and the other great feature was there is no maintenance needed to use it.

It was way too hot in my backyard and I needed extra shade so I contacted Rollup Awnings. I requested the awning to be automatic and had them extend it by another foot than what was advertised. They were great. I'd recommend them.

Awning goes in on its own regardless of weather conditions. Service cancelled four times. Last one, they didn't even bother to call - just didn't show up. Waited around all day. DO NOT BUY their awnings. Malfunction and they WILL NOT fix. BUYER BEWARE.

The amount of sun that we get on our outside deck area made us decide to purchase an awning. We realized that was becoming a necessity in order to be outside on the deck - where we can eat and enjoy the outside. So, we went to the Rollup Awnings showroom and saw their product. We liked that they had a showroom so we could see everything. And the salesperson that we met there was knowledgeable and friendly.

We decided to purchase an awning because we have sun at the backyard starting at 8:00 in the morning and ending at 6:00 p.m. We have two small kids. And with the 90 degree temperatures we didn't really have a choice and we need some shade. So we did some research and we went with Rollup Awning because the other companies we spoke with were not so much responsive to our questions and meeting and showing us whatever they have. And there was not a huge difference in the prices. We've used the awning when we go outside and we can fit the table, grill and have barbeque and friends over. I would recommend it to a friend.

Had purchased an awning and had it installed. They blew the electric service installing it. Got it on the house and used it occasionally. Left it rolled out about one third one night and it came crashing down in the middle of the night. Lucky for us that no one was sitting under it because it bent down the chair my father had been sitting in.

I love my new awning from Rollup Awnings. It's a beautiful blue with beige color. My husband went to the showroom and he was very happy with how he was accommodated by the salesman. The day it was supposed to be installed, it poured rain, and we sat here all day, waiting. They set up the appointment with us for after twelve but by 4:30 when my husband called, the driver said they were on the way. With the monsoon it had to be cancelled. The day they finally came to install, they were all the way on the south shore and it was tough. Jobs should be set up in the same radius area but installers come from the south shore over to the north shore. Scheduling should have a better setup. Overall, we're giving them our recommendation and I would suggest to everybody to get the remote with the manual on the side.

From the moment we walked into their front door the knowledge and professionalism was evident. The home check to the quick install was just perfect. Just loving the extra shade and look forward to many years of its enjoyment.

This is an excellent awning. We were most concerned with roof pitch but after seeing the rigid support brackets in the showroom we were convinced it would work well. Delivery and installation went very smoothly...three months and no problems at all. ** at the Hempstead store was great in explaining the details.

They advertise "free installation" but never mention brackets needed are $100.00 each. They charged me last year for brackets they didn't use. Used old ones in place. When they reinstalled this year they again charged for brackets. Waiting for a reply and refund or contacting BBB and ConsumerAffairs.

It was a great purchase, I should have done this years ago. I can now sit on my deck and read a book.

My husband chose Rollup Awnings and I had it installed 12 years ago when I had a big rip in our awning. They came and took it down and they noticed that the backboard against the house was not too good of shape so I weighed one thing against the other and thought it would be a better deal to get a warranty and a manual override in case of an emergency. The person I dealt with was always available and helped me in any way she could.

Rollup Awnings was good. We got everything, from the choice of fabric to the gear motor. They came down and did what they wanted to do. I am happy with them, but the electrician took too long. I've had the awning up on top of my roof for a long time, but I just had the electricity put to it the other day, so I've only used it once or twice.

Rollup Awnings was a recommendation from a contractor. We wanted to better utilize our backyard, it was really sunny and hot. We had Rollup Awnings do the customization, we got the highest end they offered - it's an 18-foot awning with remote control. We use it when we go out, about three times so far. It makes the deck area much more usable during the day. I would highly recommend them. I looked at a number of other awning options and theirs was the best buy for that.

Rollup Awnings did what they said they were going to do. The only disappointment so far has been the electrician they recommended. He said he was going to be here on Friday after the installation. And if not Friday, most definitely Saturday. And he didn't show up Friday or Saturday and didn't call. But as far as Rollup Awnings, so far, so good. I'd recommend them.

I've had my Rollup Awnings for nine years. For the most part I've been happy with the way it works and with the installation on it. I had some repairs on it, a couple of which I wasn't exactly happy that it cost me money. I had a replacement of fabric after eight years and it was supposed to be a 10-year warranty on the fabric. And after 10 years, the stitching started opening up so it had to be re-sewn. They didn't want to cover it so I ended up getting another piece of fabric on that.

So far so good with the Rollup Awnings. I liked it more than the other - the way it was built and the quality. No complaints so I'm very happy. A tree had gone down in front of the house and it caused the different circumstance with our big window where we had a lot of sun coming through it. We needed the awning to eliminate it and we did. I use it every day. In the winter time, it's like the greenhouse which is great as it gives us heat. In the summer time, I put the awning out and it gives us a cooling off period in the house. From beginning to end, the service from the salesman up has been more than expected with today's type of service that you get. However, the cover was outrageously priced and it wasn't that hard to make a cover. So I went out, bought and made my own cover.

They didn't bring it the first time and the guy originally said, “oh they're going to install it,” but we didn't end up using their electrician. He is the only person to deal with over there. And he hears it all the time from clients. They got the worst reputation for personality on Long Island when it comes to awnings, and it's not just me. But I think what a lot of people overlook is the product is the best. People don't want to deal with them.

I got hurricane shutters from Rollup Awnings. There was confusion between the father and the other son who worked here. Thank god, there was another son that came into the picture to put it together. I still didn't see these things working but it's okay. I'm staying with it at this time.

We designed the awning to be 20 foot by 10 foot and it's electric. And it was a 10-year fabric warranty. I'd recommend them.

When I arrived home that night from work, I noticed that they never placed the lock washer on the bolt on one side of the unit.

I realized that Rollup Awnings had a bigger and higher quality product that's what we needed so we chose them over other companies. We chose the electric motor, our fabric and the color. Everything was custom. It was nice that they had a large selection of colors and fabric. The people were also very helpful, very efficient and very professional.

We bought our motorized awning last year & we love it! We recently needed an adjustment to the awning & they were fantastic! The two men who came out to do the job were very knowledgeable about the work. We would recommend this product, it is great!

I thought it was time for some home improvement, so I decided to purchase Roll-up Awnings. We chose a color that appealed to us and matched the house, and had an upgraded motor. We usually use it during afternoons for shade, and it feels good. It’s almost like a room has been added to the house.

Rollup Awnings put an awning on my house about 12 years ago and it has held up beautifully. I felt that I needed another awning in the space next to it. We were doing another sitting area and it just extended our deck. I had this planned for several years and finally got around to doing it. The newer awning has a wind sensor. If the wind is over a certain speed and there's vibration in the awning, it retracts automatically. I like that feature and the newer awnings have a crank. The older awning did not have a crank so in case you had a power failure, you're stuck with it out there because its motorized.

We like the product we got from Rollup Awnings. We use it a lot. The team was very good. They know what they're doing. There's only one thing I don't like and it's that when it rains, the water stays there so you got to close it.

We're extremely pleased with the product from Rollup Awnings. We needed an awning for the backyard and chose them for the quality and the customer service. We got to choose our fabric and had the remote control and everything works fine. We use it almost every day. They were outstanding.

Rollup Awnings was absolutely wonderful. I love the job and the awning and so far, so good. I didn't want something that snow would build up and this looks like the snow is not going to build up in it. And it does make my house cooler too. We got the electric button to open and close it. They were excellent.

We bought out Roll Up several years ago. Was never told how to care for it! The brush is falling out and called several times to have someone fix it. Was told I will get a call for cost and when guy will come. Neither happened. Called today and was told guy showed up - BS! Then told it will cost $216 to have him push brush back into unit. Are you kidding me!!!!!! So nice when we made purchase and so ** on consumer service. Would't recommend them if they were the last company around!

I have a deck in the backyard with a swimming pool and for years we’ve been talking about it, but I always thought it was too expensive. But then finally, I just decided let’s do it, and we did purchase an awning. I’ve seen the commercial for SunSetter about Rollup Awnings and somebody told me that there was a place right in Holbrook and I live in Holbrook that makes the manufacture and sales right in the same building. Also, I’m a police officer years ago. I’m retired now, but years ago, I drove past it so I had an idea where it was. So my wife and I said, “Lets’ go take a look.” So we drove to this place just to look. We had no intention of buying. And we were so impressed with the salesman with his knowledge and his attitude and no high pressure that we bought it right there on the spot.

Absolutely excellent. They were really, really professional and we like them a lot. Rollup Awnings has been around for over 30 years. My sister-in-law actually used them and they're from the area so we’ve kind of known about them. Their product allows for waterproof awning whereas those from other companies just block out the sunlight (we went with them because of that). We use it pretty much every day from 12 o'clock until about a little after dinner, all day long.

From the time we walked into the showroom in West Hempstead to the click of the remote, we were very pleased with our experience at Rollup Awnings. The salesman answered all our questions, explained the inner workings of the arms, the fabrics and colors. The time frame setup for measuring and installing were all done within two weeks. The installers were every respectful and polite. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an awning.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare! My advice to ANYONE looking for a Rollup Awning or stationary awning, do your due diligence and shop around. You will be amazed at the price difference with the same or better quality and most importantly better customer service. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Money is too hard to come by than to spend it with a company that could really care less about you after they have it.

The arrogance is unbelievable. They talk to you like you're dirt. Their product isn't holding up. Their call volume is so high, for the spring 2014 they are charging to look at their poor equipment even under a year old (purchased 6/27/13, installed 7/17/13). They sold me on the weather vain (safe and sound tech which doesn't make me feel safe) and come to find out it is just a decoration on the outside of my house. The fat guy at the store told me on how the weather vain would open and close in high winds and during extreme heat and rain, it hasn't done anything but spin for ***$600.00 down from ***$1,200.00. I only recommend buying from them if you like a good fight. I wouldn't use this product. I would rather go to Costco. They have a much better return and product protection service.

My husband and I ordered a roll up awning and have had nothing but problems. Before the purchase, we put in a brand new roof. The installers had to come back b/c the awning was ready to fall off the roof. The lady that answers the service calls is rude. They tell you if you have an emergency to email them but takes 24 hours to get back to you. The awning is now ready to fall off again and they said it's b/c of my roof - which is brand new. They claim roofers don't use the right board under the shingles. They refuse to service it. Clearly the installers are not capable of installing correctly. And now my new roof is ruined. Not to mention I have an awning hanging off that could really hurt someone. They want more money to fix it and recommended I call a contractor. Not worth a penny! Biggest mistake ever. Not nice people - talk over you and think they know your problem and all they want is more money. Waste of money. Total aggravation.

Bought roll-up awning in July 2008. Just noticed a tear in the fabric along a seam line. Checked my warranty and guess what? Not covered. Had prior issue with motor under warranty. Awning would roll out and not in. Motor was previously replaced by a recall. Got charged a service fee which I didn't believe was warranted due to no fault of my own. Sorry that I recommended this company to a friend.

We hired Rollup to install their storm shutters. After work commenced, we decided to add electric motors instead of the manual cranks to operate the shutters. Since the job just started, it was the perfect time to tell them. They insisted on finishing the job without the motors, riveting in, and sealing up the enclosures, getting paid in full, and then signing a new contract for adding the motors, and having to rip apart the just completed job at additional cost to make the change. We went to court when I wouldn't pay them until the job was done the way we wanted it. Since there was no reason for their inflexibility, the judge agreed with us and made them finish the job prior to getting paid.

I was trying to get some service from them as my awning was malfunctioning and would not stay open. Everything I said was turned around as it being my fault as to void any possible warranty issue. I called and set up an appointment, which I was told would cost $194 charge just for evaluating the problem. It was set for after 3pm Friday, 7/27, and they came earlier when I was not home. They then said it was how my electrician wired it and would come back on Monday. When the lady Fran got on the phone, I asked her if she made the original appointment and if she remembered telling me they would come by after 3. Her snide remark back was, "Well, if I did, I don't remember." She then said, "Don't yell at me," and hung up the phone on me. When I called back, the guy got on and said, "Listen, you **. Don't you abuse the women here," and then kept telling me to shut the ** up about 10 times. They never showed up that Monday. I took the day off from work to see them. You don't want to do business with these unsophisticated, low class animals.
