We had a deck and decided that it was hot out there in the summer. I did some research on Rollup Awnings and they seemed to have the best product. I got the one with the motor where I don't have to crank it. Their reps were fine and everything was good.

We were originally going to buy a SunSetter because it was the brand we knew of. Then the PennySaver or one of the local insert papers came and Rollup Awnings' ad was in there. We went into the store and the gentleman who sold us the unit was why we chose it because we really believed that the quality of the product was so much better than the other products in the marketplace. He was very helpful and he really made the decision a lot easier for us. We've only had it for a short period of time but we're very happy with it. We've used it for family parties, functions and dinners. It's getting us to eat outside more. It's been great. The quality looks exceptional and it's pretty. I was concerned that SunSetter would look old because it's old school and kind of like grandma's house, but it's not.

The awning that I used to have broke down. I walked in at Rollup Awnings and the salesman was very excellent. He gave me suggestions on what I should get - which one is good and which one is best. I took what he offered which was the one that rolls into a pipe. I had the material customized so he came to our house and my wife picked out the material which is excellent so far. Everything has been fine. I use the awning all the time.

I had a deck before that was destroyed and razed after Sandy. My new one is up higher and it’s a much larger deck, and the sun hits the side of the house so I figured I needed an awning. We looked around where I live and we found out that Rollup was used in quite a few homes in the area. When we went there, the manager was very helpful and we liked the way he explained everything. The people who installed it were also very nice. Everybody knew what they were doing. They came when they said they were going to come so I was very satisfied with everything.

I like Rollup Awnings. They have the one that's concealed and rolls into itself. They give me a fabric choice and I got a book to pick from. I have my choices of what kind of rollup I want and I can go for a cheaper one. I chose to go for a decent and the most expensive one because I don't like replacing it every couple of years. I like the material and I use the awning almost every day. It was all a very good experience working with them, so I'm very happy with it. My friends already use them and everybody seems to be happy.

My wife and I thought having an awning would be a good thing for our backyard. We chose Rollup Awnings since the product is made here. We picked out the colors and chose an awning that works with a remote control. The whole thing tucks away in the winter time, so we don’t have anything exposed. We’re a little disappointed with the people who did the site check and also the installation group. They told us that they were going to set an appointment up in the morning and then they called the night before and told us it was going to be in the afternoon. They ended up showing up in the morning. My wife and I both work so we had to schedule around that and it was a little difficult. Luckily, my wife was able to get back over for the install.

I don't have any shade on my back deck and it's too sunny so I got an awning from Rollup. Other awning companies, like SunSetters for instance, farm out to different retail stores that have representatives there and I didn't like that because there was a disconnect - a middleman - and that's basically why I chose to go with Rollup Awnings. Their team is very professional, and I also got to choose the fabric. They have an electrician, staff, salesman, and installers, so it's not like you have to contact different people to get a job done. Everything is done on Rollup's premises, their own factory and that's a better way to do business. They're very hands-on and it clearly is a more professional operation. Rollup is excellent.

It's summer and I already need an awning. And when a friend showed me Rollup Awnings, I loved it and I got the one that works with the remote. I use it everyday then bring it in at night. The Rollup team did a very good job and I'd recommend them to a friend. My experience has been wonderful. It's worked perfect.

We had a sun room which was filled with sun, but we want some shade and reduce the heat. We researched thoroughly and checked out three custom awnings companies. We were impressed with Rollup Awnings and ordered that same day. We had them come and measure the whole width of the opening. We purchased the top of the line motor and also the pull-up end piece for the winter. Once the awning is out, the sun does not come in through the sun room anymore. We're happy we saw what we wanted at Rollup. The team in the showroom and the installers were also great and very professional.

Rollup Awnings is a 5 star company as far as quality and service goes. They installed my awning 2 yrs ago & I couldn't be happier. Went back to them with a problem with a relative's awning installed 6 years ago & their customer service was outstanding! Run don't walk to Rollup Awnings. You won't be disappointed.

I heard about Rollup Awnings through my condominium association. The product and installers were alright, but the small awning was overpriced and the electrician did a terrible job. The company gave me the service and told me to get the electrician, who drilled a lot of holes into the siding. He replaced it but I was not happy with the way he did it. When I called and explained to the company this situation they blew me off. I was talking to the wall and nothing got solved. I said, “That’s fine. You don’t have to worry about it" because when people come around my neighborhood, I will not recommend them. I'll say to them, “If you want them, you’ll have headaches." I will share my experience to people and let them judge for themselves.

When we went to see Rollup Awning's factory, we saw outstanding products and salesman. I'm very happy with the products. Rollup Awnings was terrific, on-time and professional. I would refer them to anybody.

Had a motorized retractable awning installed about a month ago. Everything went great from the minute we stepped into the showroom, and spoke with salesman, Arthur, to installation, to electrical hook up. We love our awning so much! When we moved into the house, there was a small, manual crank awning over the kitchen window, which we later found out was from Rollup Awnings 15 years ago! It is still in great shape! We are extremely satisfied with our awning, and would highly recommend this company.

I called Rollup Awnings and they came right away. Everything worked out exactly like they said. They had a big selection and they even showed all the different materials. We live in a gated community and they provided me with all information to apply and get approved for it. It went perfectly and what we got was customized. We use it everyday because we're in a place high up and off a pond and where the sun is tremendously strong. We have French doors so when the light comes in, it blinds us. We have to open the awning everyday around 3:00 o'clock and don't close it until at night about 7:00 or 8:00. Rollup Awnings were outrageously good. There was no hitch and it's great compared to the work and the issues I've been having with other contractors. I'm thankful I used them. They're a wonderful company.

My father-in-law moved into a new home and thought that Rollup Awnings would be a nice addition to it. He was very happy. They sent a couple of people over that spoke Spanish so he was thrilled that he was able to communicate well with them and let them know exactly what he wanted. They were very professional and nice. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. They showed him how to work everything. He loves the awning and he uses it every day.

Sales person was very professional and helpful. Installation was quick and professional. Just by looking at the product you can tell it's durable. I've seen other awnings and there is no comparison. I would highly recommend Rollup Awnings to everyone.

I was looking for an awning. I checked a couple of different people and I liked the design of Rollup Awnings on their product. Also, my in-laws actually had them about 16 years ago. They are a great company to deal with and everything that the reps said they were gonna do, they did.

I got the almost high-end automated Rollup Awning. It cleans itself and it’s a good awning. The gentleman who came originally was very nice. He gave me a good rundown of the products and showed me a lot of samples. We went outside together and he showed me where I should put it and how far out it should go. He was really good and very knowledgeable. The guys who came to deliver and install didn’t leave any mess. Everything was done quickly. It was a great investment.

Rollup Awnings is a local company which is convenient. Dealing with their representatives from the sales to installation was excellent. They gave an estimate and I got to select the fabric and the color.

I purchased a motorized awning from Rollup Awnings and everything was what it's supposed to have been. I got to choose the fabric for the awning, and the service was terrific. Their customer service team is attentive and responsive if there are issues.

I went for the higher end awning from Rollup Awnings because I believe in buying once, buying right and many years of service. They installed it and I had a little issue afterwards when I got my electrician, but they stood behind the product. It seems to be quality installation they stood behind. So far so good. I’m ordering a second awning because I noticed it's much more efficient rather than trying to position umbrellas everywhere and storing up for the winter. Rollup Awnings seems to be a quality organization with quality materials and products, and I’m happy. I have recommended them in the last couple of days.

We purchased an awning because it just seemed like we had a need for it in our backyard and Rollup Awnings was good for us. I priced out and looked at a couple of other vendors prior to purchasing. And it seemed like their product was superior so that’s how I ended up going with them. Also, the great appeal was the fact that it was low maintenance. The salesman was very nice to work with. Due to the time of the year, we needed to schedule the installation about a month out. With a little pre-planning, hopefully, that would have shortened the timeline between purchasing it and getting it installed. But, otherwise, everything was a nice experience. Last night we used it even in the rain because it was designed to hold up during inclement weather.

We were re-doing a backyard and we got a motorized awning from Rollup Awnings. It looks nice and it's easy to use. The choice of fabrics were very nice too. It looks like high quality. Their only downfall is the expense as we paid more than we should have.

After procrastinating about getting an awning, we finally decided to do it with Rollup Awnings after evaluating different designs and also due to word-of-mouth. We did see an ad in the newspaper and that triggered it, too. It has been a very good experience. My awning has a custom width so it fits the space exactly and got the motorized open and close feature, and I'm happy with it. Rollup seemed to have their act together - the salesman, installation crew, and even the electrician they subcontracted did a good job.

We got a good rating with the Better Business Bureau for Rollup Awnings and there were some good consumer comments at the ConsumerAffairs website. We went to them for the construction of the unit and we liked their product. It's good and beautiful, so we bought it. It's only been two weeks since I had it installed. However, I wasn't crazy about the customer service. They completely screwed up in setting up the electrician which they promised me. When you're spending $4,500, you expect a company to be driving on the spot and they weren't. They told me that I had to call them to find out what time the guy was coming here. But when I called to find out, I got an answering machine, and nobody called me back. Then as I was on the phone, the guy pulled up in front of my house.

I am very happy with my new Rollup Awning. When we went to the showroom, Arthur was very pleasant and informative. He thoroughly explained all the facets of the awning. Even about the installation. He answered our questions and was extremely knowledgeable about this product. The installers were also very nice guys. They quickly installed our awning, explained how it works, and cleaned up. Love my awning!!!

From the initial contact with the salesman, to the installation of our new awning, I was impressed with the professionalism of all the Rollup employees. They took the time to explain the features of the awning, suggested proper placement, and answered all of our questions. Rollup Awnings gave us a good deal when we got a regular awning from them. They were professional, came on time and finished the work right away. And now we're outside enjoying the awning right now under the big sun since it's going to rain tomorrow. It has been a perfect experience.

We purchased an awning from Rollup and are very pleased with the product as well as the company. The salesman Sean was informative and thorough in showing us the different choices in awnings. The installation crew arrived on time and did a nice job. Rollup recommended an electrician to do the needed electrical work and Paul from Custom Electric responded and was on time and did a nice, neat job. We encountered a minor problem with the motor needing to be reprogrammed and Rollup was very responsive and sent a technician out the very next day to correct the problem. The awning looks great and is manufactured with top of the line material. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Rollup Awnings was one of the approved vendors in the condominium complex I'm in, and I've been wanting to have an awning so I decided to purchase the special motor package for the summer. It looks good and was installed quickly. When the appointment date was set up, the rep couldn't tell what time they were coming until that morning which meant I can't really plan anything else for my day because I don't know anything and I needed to wait until 9:30 to call for that. Well, the team up showed up at my door at 9:00 which was great. I was glad to get it done. Even though the awning is a better product, it's expensive

We had a deck built so we wanted a new awning to go over it and got Rollup Awnings. Their team was excellent and the salesman was very accommodating. Overall, it was an outstanding customer satisfaction.

I can’t sit out on my porch in the summer because it’s sunny so I had Rollup Awnings install one for me. Their people have been very good and the installation went very smoothly. I'm happy with my awning.

The other awning was acting up. The motor went and it was faded. I and my son put it up and it lasted eight years. The salesman from Rollup Awnings was nice and made a few suggestions. He originally picked a different awning, which I thought I wanted too until I got the price. I bought a cheaper awning which I paid $2,700, but it was good. When the deal was set, we got the date and the installers put it up. They took all the mess with them and were very neat workers. I like that they extended the awning longer and we covered a picnic table. My wife and I are very well satisfied.

We had a different setup on our patio, which was a wood overhang. Its upkeep was too much of a pain in the neck. I called Rollup Awnings and they sent their rep out here to have us see how everything worked. We made the arrangements and within a couple of weeks, everything was measured and installed. I’ve tried SunSetter and others and their price were extremely higher so we chose Rollup Awnings. We live in a corner house which is very windy. We have no peace in the summer time because of the wind and the sun so we purchased Rollup. And now, even though we haven’t got any hot days yet, it has been protecting the house and our dining room from the sun. We have both the electric with the monitor to open and the manual one. Their team was very good, explicit, courteous, and they don’t do anything on their own. They ask us to see if it is right or if we like it. Moreover, they’re very responsible. They tell us what time they're coming and if it is raining and they cannot do the work, they call on time and let us know. Their electrician was very reasonable too and very amiable.

Rollup was on our condominium preferred list. After speaking with competitor, we felt their quality was superior so we purchased from them. We open the awning for sun and light rain protection. Overall, Rollup's people were very professional and we were happy with their service.

We have barbecues and get-togethers at the back of my house so I had Rollup install an automatic awning there. Their installers were incredible and it was an excellent experience, that's why I've recommended them to friends and family. In fact, my brother also bought awning from Rollup.

My husband and I have a friend who had recently put in an awning at his place in Belford. My husband came home and he told me that the awning pulls up and that it's easy. I told him I'll look into it. We weren’t able to sit down at our deck since the sun covers the whole thing until about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. When I happened to be in that area where our friend said he got his awning from, I stopped in and looked at it. The gentleman there gave me a free quotation. I picked a particular awning material to suit the coloring in our house that I wanted. We also had it so that when it was raining we could lower it so that the water drips off easier. We had a special cover put on it so that it could be encased in the winter time. We had the rod that comes down that we can roll up by hand which adjusts the angle of the awning. We had a scallop put in if we wanted to use it.

The awning which we bought from Rollup Awnings in 2013 is very nice. However, when put it down to show somebody, it came up halfway and then wouldn’t go up anymore. The motor was fine, but we had to get it reset so Rollup Awnings came in and reset it. Getting help from them was an excellent experience but we had to pay for a service fee for them to do it. It happened to be the one day it was windy and snowing so we also had to wait a day for them to be in the area. Other than that, we haven’t had any issues with the awning.

A friend of mine referred Rollup Awnings when we had problems with the heat on the deck. The reps were very friendly. We were greeted as soon as we went in to make a purchase. When their team showed up to install, they showed up when they said would, and they were done in a timely fashion. It was a clean and good job. I like what I got and it came out exactly as I expected. The colors are beautiful, and it looks like a great product. The only drawback is the day they put it up, it started getting cold here, so I haven't had the chance to use it. But overall, it was a very pleasurable experience.

One of my neighbors used Rollup Awnings and told me about it. I've always wanted one and it was a point where I had the money to pay for it, so that's when I took action. I called, and the gentleman was very nice. We talked about the fabrics and I picked out the one that I thought was best suited for us. I got the one with a switch and the awning rolls in and out. The installers and the electrician did a good job. Everything was satisfactory. I would definitely recommend Rollup Awnings to anyone who can afford to spend $5,000.

We had an awning before but it wasn’t a Rollup. We would take it down and put it up at the end and beginning of every season respectively. That became to be a bit of a pain so we decided to have a new one. We estimated the prices with different awning companies and Rollup Awnings was the most reasonable. We went with them and they’re a pleasure to deal with. We’ve been very happy with their product, too. It’s very easy to use. I’m glad that we did include the remote control.

I had my awning put up a few years ago. I went to Rollup Awnings and the son of the owner was very helpful, and then we scheduled installation. There had been some question about the scheduling or how to pay them, but it really wasn't a problem and we cleared it up. I asked them a lot of questions and they put it up for me. It's beautiful and I love it. It meets the expectations that they said it would and it gave me what I wanted in an awning. I picked my fabric and I have a hand crank. I knew not going with a totally enclosed option that it might wear out quicker, but I didn't want to spend the money on that and the motor. So I accepted what I have and it's working fine. I would recommend it to friends and I'm very satisfied with the experience.

Hurricane Sandy took my last shade tree down so I bought an awning from Rollup. I like the salesperson that I dealt with and it was great interacting with their team. I very much enjoyed the product.

We had a good experience with Rollup Awnings. We decided to purchase an awning because we took our old one down. Nothing but the best with Rollup Awnings. They're wonderful and I have had them since 1990. I'm from Germany and grew up with rollups. We bought a different house and it had two sliding doors and two big windows. We got the awnings to get warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. When the children were small or I'm babysitting, I can leave them halfway down or up. They're electric and so convenient.

We had a tornado come through Bohemia in 2010 or 2011 and it took down a tree. I no longer had any shade on my deck. I need something in order to use the deck again and I liked Rollup Awnings's products. I purchased an awning and included the electric opener. The awning is on our rear deck that faces southeast and it gets a lot of sun. It shades our kitchen and gives us a sitting area on the deck. When it rains, I put it out and have my barbecue under it. Everyone says it's expensive, I do too, but I am very satisfied. I am very happy with the whole process.

I was sweating on my deck, so I decided to get awnings from Rollup. I got one of the high-end ones where the whole roll is protected. It's wonderful. Their team includes the owner's son, and he was wonderful. He explained how I could cut some cost, get what I needed, and where the shade goes. The minute I go outside, the awning comes down. It was nice and warm, so we used it on Christmas eve because it's right outside my big room where my bar is. It also makes the living room bigger. The whole experience was wonderful. I'm a very happy consumer.

Our neighbor cut down trees and we got a lot of sun in our deck. We couldn’t be out there so that’s why we put the awning. But I wish I had made the awning a little larger but no problem. Most times we use it during the day. Unfortunately, the sun goes down in the west and it comes right under the awning. It is something we didn’t think of and when we have our dinner, very often it’s too sunny. We can’t use it. It wasn’t their fault, although they should tell me that the sun wouldn’t go all the way under the awnings.

Rollup Awnings is a good product. We did the basic electrical awning and the most recent one, the regular manual roll-up about eight feet in both width and length. I've been using it all the time when it's sunny when I want to barbecue and relax. I just have to press a button and I just roll them up. There's even a switch because it's electrical. When you turn it on, the motor stops, so if you forget to leave it on position, the motor reaches the maximum and doesn't overheat so it's very good. In my parents' house, it's a roll-up that rolls quick in about 30-40 seconds. Material is fine and I didn't have to replace anything as of yet.

I have rollup shutters that I close at night on all the windows in my office. There was a company that used to do them and we were having problems off and on. The shutters have been here for many years, and it was very difficult when I needed new motors and things to repair them. That's why I started looking for other companies and I ended up with Rollup. They had to put new shutters on. They did my first group of windows and now they're going to finish doing the other windows that have started to act up.

In the summer, we would sit on our deck in the backyard where it would get so darn hot that we figured it’s time to purchase an awning. We got awnings with the remote control and it’s the best thing we ever did. The only thing that we have found is that in the spring, sometimes birds would make a nest in the rollup on the side of the house, and we’ve had to put aluminum foil in each of the corners so the birds stay out of there.

The awning blocks the sun from coming in the slider doors so that the living room doesn't get really hot in the hot weather.

We had been researching getting an awning for some kind and there are really two main players in that market. One of them is the big national Sunbrella Group and the other being Rollup. We had actually spoken to Rollup once before and liked the product. While we had another means of providing shade, we decided to take the next step and get something that was more elegant and effective. The awning that we ordered from Rollup was motorized with one of their suggested fabrics. Their team was good too. We caught them at the time of year when they didn’t have their normal sales staff so we were dealing with one of the principals, and he was a good guy. It's the end of the season here and we have barely used it but we're looking forward to using it a lot next year.

Rollup Awnings were lovely. I purchased a motorized roll-down shutter for my client on the recommendation of a company named Somfy. The Rollup Awnings team was good.

Rollup Awnings is definitely the best awning company around. I live in a new development and they’ve taken down every single tree. My backyard faces southwest and I have no shade whatsoever so I bought awning from Rollup Awnings for shade. They have the best reviews online and I know someone that used them personally. Rollup Awnings gave away a free motor so I got a motor but I upgraded to the remote control and the thing that I can close it if I lose power. They also have hundreds of different colors and I picked one that matched my siding, and they didn’t charge me extra for the color.

We've had Rollup Awnings shutters for 30 years and we just recently had new ones put in. They offer a very good, unique product and they provide good support too. Also, they last long. I would recommend them.

Rollup Awnings were excellent. I went over there and they told me what I needed and they came and put it in and it was beautiful. Years ago, they had put in an awning that goes out. Then about a week ago, they put a shutter to go up over my door, on my beach house which I picked up for storms. It was a gear motor. Moreover, the team from Rollup Awnings did a great job. The guys that came were helpful and they cleaned up.

I went to somebody's house wh had an awning up and I realized that I never sat on my back porch because it was too hot. I just said "You know what? We just bought a new house in Southampton and we have an awning but had to get a replacement and somebody recommended Rollup. They were terrific and did a beautiful job. They helped us choose what we wanted, the size and the fabric. Mr. Braun, the owner could not have been nicer. There was a little bit of misunderstanding but he took care of it very kindly and professionally. They are highly professional, very good, fair, honorable and honest people.

Rollup Awnings have a longer reach than most of the awning companies. So far I'm very happy with my awning from them. Their team was very good, responsive and quick.

I got an awning 15 years ago from Rollup Awnings. It's a big one and I use it a lot during the summer times. Although I don't like giving the company a bad review, I did have a lot of problems when I first got it, so I wouldn't recommend it. But that's water under the bridge now. Recently, I had their people come out to have the awning fixed because it lifted from the roof. They were fine and I didn't have a problem.

When my other awnings broke, I decided to purchase from Rollup Awnings. I got the rollup shades in the front but one of the mechanism got broken. It's the pole that raises and lowers the shade which you have to do manually because others are electric. It wasn't a real big thing, I just went out and bought a new one. But I did think I should get two of those poles because I bought two awnings and spent $8300 on those things. Although, I did like the chain mechanism instead of the cable that most people use and the team at Rollup Awnings was good even though there's a little miscommunication on customer service. But overall, my experience with Rollup Awnings was great, I definitely would recommend them. They make a great awnings and it is everything they said it would be.

We've got a deck outside our home that required some shade so we had an electric awning installed from Rollup Awnings. We preferred them over others because of their product's quality and the salesperson. So far, everything is good and we got it open pretty much every day.

We are looking for an awning for our deck with sliding doors off the back of our house. It faces west and the sun is very intense in the afternoon. That's why we inquired and purchased from Rollup Awnings. Tony, the salesman in the West Hampton office, was very thorough. He covered every aspect of the awning (material, motor and such). But the awning we initially contracted for was too large. We came home and measured, and it would have been too large for the area we wanted to cover. So I called the factory the next day and the owner, Raybon, answered the phone and said, “Come out and I’ll deal with you personally, and we’ll work everything out.” He did and we're extremely satisfied.

When I replaced my deck, it was too hot sitting outside so we purchased some shade from Rollup Awnings. We had it motorized and we picked out a certain pattern so now we really enjoy using it. And their staff have been very nice and friendly so I’d recommend them.

I had a deck that was too hot in the sun and I love a retractable awning, so I did some research, due diligence, and found my way to Rollup Awnings. Their team were very good, professional and better than any of the other companies. I bought from them a big awning which is 21ft. x 11 ft. It's a green and white striped awning with a straight fringe on the bottom. It's also automatic - it goes down when the sun comes out and goes back up when the sun goes back. Apparently, the awning cuts down the heat mode tremendously not only on the deck but also in the house. It's very good and better than SunSetter. So, I'd recommend Rollup Awnings!

I purchased an awning from them years ago. It was a roof mount which was supposed to sit on a 2 x 12 board wrapped in white aluminum. When they installed this unit they could not get the tube straight. The tube is where the fabric rolls into, which meant that it was rolling in and out wrinkled. So they removed it and took the brackets for the awning which mount to the 2 x 12 and welded these ridiculous looking wings on each side of the bracket and mounted it that way to the roof. It looked hideous. I removed it and mounted it the way it was supposed to be mounted originally on the 2 x 12 board and cut them wings off the bracket and guess what, it worked perfectly for many years. Rollup had called me in the early wanting to give me an estimate on replacing the fabric and I told them, "Yes," and they said that they would call back. They never did.

My husband built a deck and wanted an awning. Rollup Awnings uses extremely high components - that's why we originally went with them. We use our awning all the time and the other great feature was there is no maintenance needed to use it.

Left it rolled out about one third one night and it came crashing down in the middle of the night. I love my new awning from Rollup Awnings. It's a beautiful blue with beige color. My husband went to the showroom and he was very happy with how he was accommodated by the salesman. The day it was supposed to be installed, it poured rain, and we sat here all day, waiting. They set up the appointment with us for after twelve but by 4:30 when my husband called, the driver said they were on the way. With the monsoon it had to be cancelled. The day they finally came to install, they were all the way on the south shore and it was tough. Jobs should be set up in the same radius area but installers come from the south shore over to the north shore. Scheduling should have a better setup. Overall, we're giving them our recommendation and I would suggest to everybody to get the remote with the manual on the side.

This is an excellent awning. We were most concerned with roof pitch but after seeing the rigid support brackets in the showroom we were convinced it would work well. Delivery and installation went very smoothly...three months and no problems at all. ** at the Hempstead store was great in explaining the details.

They advertise "free installation" but never mention brackets needed are $100.00 each. They charged me last year for brackets they didn't use. Used old ones in place. My husband chose Rollup Awnings and I had it installed 12 years ago when I had a big rip in our awning. They came and took it down and they noticed that the backboard against the house was not too good of shape so I weighed one thing against the other and thought it would be a better deal to get a warranty and a manual override in case of an emergency. The person I dealt with was always available and helped me in any way she could.

Rollup Awnings was good. We got everything, from the choice of fabric to the gear motor. They came down and did what they wanted to do. I am happy with them, but the electrician took too long. I've had the awning up on top of my roof for a long time, but I just had the electricity put to it the other day, so I've only used it once or twice.

Rollup Awnings was a recommendation from a contractor. We wanted to better utilize our backyard, it was really sunny and hot. We had Rollup Awnings do the customization, we got the highest end they offered - it's an 18-foot awning with remote control. We use it when we go out, about three times so far. It makes the deck area much more usable during the day. I would highly recommend them. I looked at a number of other awning options and theirs was the best buy for that.

Rollup Awnings did what they said they were going to do. The only disappointment so far has been the electrician they recommended. He said he was going to be here on Friday after the installation. And if not Friday, most definitely Saturday. And he didn't show up Friday or Saturday and didn't call. But as far as Rollup Awnings, so far, so good. I'd recommend them.

We had over the years in our backyard these do it yourself stuff that you put for shade. Over the years, they either kept rusting or they ripped; the canopy ripped. After the first week of installation, we had a bird nest in there. The guy had told me that the way the awning would work is that no bird would be able to nest in there and that's not true.

I've had my Rollup Awnings for nine years. For the most part I've been happy with the way it works and with the installation on it. I had some repairs on it, a couple of which I wasn't exactly happy that it cost me money. I had a replacement of fabric after eight years and it was supposed to be a 10-year warranty on the fabric. And after 10 years, the stitching started opening up so it had to be re-sewn. They didn't want to cover it so I ended up getting another piece of fabric on that.

So far so good with the Rollup Awnings. I liked it more than the other - the way it was built and the quality. No complaints so I'm very happy. A tree had gone down in front of the house and it caused the different circumstance with our big window where we had a lot of sun coming through it. We needed the awning to eliminate it and we did. I use it every day. In the winter time, it's like the greenhouse which is great as it gives us heat. In the summer time, I put the awning out and it gives us a cooling off period in the house. From beginning to end, the service from the salesman up has been more than expected with today's type of service that you get. However, the cover was outrageously priced and it wasn't that hard to make a cover. So I went out, bought and made my own cover.

My backyard was like 200 degrees so I decided to purchase awnings from Rollup Awnings. They had good payment options and good quality materials so I went with them. I have the manual override and the self-cleaning awning. Everything they installed is perfect - they were great. I use it every time I need the awnings up. Every time I hang out, I open it. The salesman was a really nice guy and the installers were good guys as well. They did a good job installing it. The representative kept to his word. He said when they would call in, and how long it would take to make it happen. He gave me a date of install and stuck to that and told me the time of install. All along the way he told the truth. They're a legitimate company.

I first read about Rollup Awnings in a newspaper advertisement. It seemed like they had a good product. We've seen a video with the awning holding up into a windstorm so we purchased it. We lost the tree and we needed the awning for some shade protection. We bought the higher grade that Rollup Awnings offered that's an electric remote, not hand manual. We've had a little problem with sagging on one side but they came and made the adjustment. The team was very good. The product is a little pricey but it's supposed to be higher quality. We're pleased with the product.

The awning has very good quality. Even when it was windy, it didn't have a problem. It worked very well. I have it for the most part rolled out almost all the time. It's not rolled out now because we're not out in the yard but when sitting underneath where our table is at, it's nice because there's no umbrella pole in the center and also it's adjustable. So if my daughter wanted to sunbathe, I could retract it a little bit so the shade wouldn't be on it.

I didn't have customization done because I realized the things I would like to add too late. It's not what I thought it would have been. We purchased from Rollup Awnings because we just moved into a new house. The awning is painted brown instead of the traditional white that they do, and has a wind sensor which is still not installed. Our experience was a little confusing - back and forth. Whoever was our salesman must have left in between our order. It got installed while he was still there but then he left and we had a problem with the wind sensor. They didn't bring it the first time and the guy originally said, “oh they're going to install it,” but we didn't end up using their electrician. Not that they would do a bad job, they were just going to put the wiring more on the outside and cable it in, whereas we got our own electrician to come and feed it a different way so the wires weren't showing.

I had some Rollup Awnings from 25 years ago. I replaced a couple of awnings that had passed their life expectancy. The guys from Rollup Awnings were great. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their installers are really, really good. I'm very fussy with workmanship and they're excellent.

We had talked about purchasing an awning for a while and we got the automatic from Rollup Awnings. We have the remote, it's motor driven, and could choose our fabric. We used it for sitting out on the porch, having a barbecue party - the normal activities that you have during the summer months. Their team was good.

We were getting quotes and we liked Rollup Awnings' actual products the best. They're a great company. The installation was extremely simple and they did it on probably the hottest day of the summer and there were no complaints. We purchased an awning because we couldn't sit on our deck in the summer. Now we got different kinds of fabric and we loved it. We basically never bring it in unless there's a storm coming. It has become almost like a second living room in summer. They were wonderful.

We would use it when we're outside, barbecuing or just sitting out. The team from Rollup Awnings was very nice. Everything worked well and went according to plan. And everything was very neatly done. They did a very nice job. It's installed properly and we've used it.

I had no difficulty with Rollup Awnings and I liked them. The only problem I had is that I got a coupon and it was $100 but the fellow wouldn't honor it because he said I placed the order but I hadn't received the merchandise. I felt that he should have honored the coupon because I didn't receive the merchandise and it wasn't in my home. So it left a bad taste because it was a big order and it was for a lot of money. And he would have been better if he gave me the $100 because then I would rave about it. So my recommendation to other people was I like the quality product and I think it's a cut above the others but...

My previous awning was a Rollup Awning that needed to be replaced. On the new one, we customized it and made it larger so we can extend it pretty much on our deck because we get sun all afternoon in the back. Everything looks nice and it still works after 6 months.

So I got an electronic awning, the one with the remote control, from Rollup Awnings. I open the thing anytime I need it. My experience with them is good. I had a little problem, they came, fixed it and left. I'm very satisfied with my experience.

We took out a tree from our property but then we needed a little shade so we got in touch with Rollup Awnings. Their rep was trying to sell what he had there and we felt all right with it because he has it in stock. This way it will get done right away. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't manual. We should be able to do this without electric. And he told me it was more money to do it manual. I said there's no way that should be more expensive. You just got to change a part in there. Doing something manual is not more expensive than doing something electric, but I just went along with it. I put it in and I think it's a good product so far.

We are so pleased with our awning. I haven't been so pleased with anything in a long time, not even my new car. It has been a pleasure to have dealt with Rollup Awnings. At first it took me a long time to decide if I will get them. Now I'd be so glad to recommend it to anyone. The people that came to install it, they were lovely. And we have had a lot of people, I would say at least 40 or 50 that has been here because this made almost our patio like a room and we have been so pleased with it. It's just a beautiful addition to the home. I knew already that I wanted the awning but I figured I'd let my daughter Vickie make all the decisions. I feel it was the best investment I've done in a long time besides putting a $20,000 roof on one side of the house.

We needed something to give us additional space in the backyard. We looked at several options and decided on Rollup Awnings. We got the more powerful motor and we're very, very happy. We get the sun in the backyard beating on our sliding glass door all morning and up to about 12:30 or 1 o'clock. We have central air conditioning and it made our downstairs at least 5 or more degrees hotter, warmer and you couldn't open the blinds up because the sun would just beat in. So this has made a tremendous difference. My husband sits out there in the morning and puts the awning down. He has his cup of coffee when he has a day off. It does very much add to our living space and we're very happy with it. They have excellent reputation, exceptional product and staff willing to work with.

Rollup Awnings was just right around the corner from my house. I moved in to this house about a year ago, and decided to purchase an awning. I told them what I wanted, they gave it to me, and I liked it. I love to sit out on the porch in the rain while reading. With the awning, I don’t have to go back inside, and that’s my number one purpose for it. Everything has been good, so far. The team at Rollup Awnings was fantastic. I’ve had no issue with them, except for the electrician who came a day late. I had a wedding to go to that day, so there was a little 12-hour issue. It would have been nicer if the awning was already there when I got back.
