In 2010 my Condo HOA put together a package deal with renewal for doors and windows in order to get a good price for each homeowner. Windows: we got nothing close to what we ordered, but something much cheaper. After lots of back and forth, renewal would do NOTHING to correct their screw up. Doors: a nightmare - Opening and Closing takes the strength of a linebacker - now falling apart. Renewal surrounded themselves with layers of contractors and "oh, that man is no longer with us" so as to never take responsibility or do the right thing in order to save their name. They obviously depend on their pricey advertising to dupe the public.

We had 44 casement windows, one door and an atrium door replaced by Renewal by Andersen. The nightmare began on July 2nd when they began the installation. They ruined our hardwood floors in our living room, dining room and bedroom with something that actually stripped the finish off of them. A floor team came out and repaired the floors and they do not how look like they were prior to the installation. We have several sunburst windows in our kitchen, family room and master bathroom and it took them three times to redo the woodwork on the arch to fit the windows. We paid for the service of taking down our shutters and reinstalling after the window installation.

The sunburst shutters could not be reinstalled because the Andersen windows are not like our prior Marvin windows. The custom sunburst shutters went into the trash. The Atrium door was imperfect and that had to be replaced. There were 9 screens to the windows that did not fit properly and they had to be replaced. Finally, on October 2, 2014 the job was completed. The painter that painted all of the trim was excellent and I would highly recommend him. I would never recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone. I also gave poor review to the parent company of Renewal by Andersen and requested to be contacted and nobody ever contacted us.

Called to set up an appointment to get an estimate for replacement windows. They said they will have a salesperson contact me, if I'd provide some info. Most companies in similar situation usually ask for a name and phone number. Then the physical address would be given when the sales person calls up to make an appointment.

But, Andersen Windows wanted all sorts of what I deem irrelevant info. As another reviewer mentioned, they mentioned that they would want both husband & wife to be present when the salesperson shows up. When I asked the supervisor why they needed all those questions just so we could get a call from one of their salespersons, she came up with some nonsense excuses. My impression, whether correct or not, was that they run some sort of check on potential customers. If that's what they actually do, why? In this day and age, I'd be stupid to give out all that private info to someone who claims to be an employee of Andersen Windows. While I believe that I was talking with a legit employee, I don't know who they are. It's just a voice at the end of a line and I had called a number off of a mailer. Anyone can send out flyers...

Also, why do they need to store all that personal info in their system when we are not even a customer yet? What if someone out there hacks their system and steal our personal info? Crazy that they want all that info just to get a call from their salesperson. No thank you! We will do business with a company that run their business a bit more logically and customer-oriented.

I had a salesman from Andersen Windows come out. He pulled up in a New Lexus. After an 1 1/2 hours of him trying to sell us windows his first price was over 28,000 dollars for 11 windows. He got the price down to $22,000 which is $2,000 a window. They seemed like good window but are WAY OVERPRICED! I helped him carry his stuff out to his new Lexus just to get rid of him as quick as possible!

Andersen refused to schedule a home consultation with me unless my husband was present for the visit. I am the sole owner of this property and also on the home owners association board. I am disgusted with these practices. Ironically this all happened at the CT WOMENS expo. I had many other window companies who were willing to come to my property within male escort. I will not be silent about this issue.

We will never know the quality of these windows because the sales rep was such a jerk. They could make the best windows ever known to man and I wouldn't do business with them because of their employees' bullying sales techniques.

We just finished a c-o-l-d winter and our Renewal by Anderson Windows helped greatly! I can tell you they were not cheap but are worth every penny. They were installed the right way too. We got double hungs and crank outs. I have purchased cheaper house items in the past but they end up not doing the job.
