The reps were pleasant, showed up on time and did the work quickly. The windows work well. I had 17 windows done and it took them two days. It was a positive experience with Renewal by Andersen.

Renewal by Andersen responded quickly, made the appointment and came to the house. It was perfect. Mitch, the guy I dealt with, was excellent as well as the installation. We had a sliding glass door put in and it was a one-day deal, which is perfect. I didn’t realize how quick it was being done. I thought it was gonna be a three-day deal. The installation guy was nice, trustworthy and cleaned up. He wasn't afraid of my dogs. The only thing was he forgot to give me the plugs on the door. There are two circles on the bottom of the door lock and it can easily slice into my grandson’s finger. So, I'm waiting for those to come in. They said they were gonna mail it to me because we could put them ourselves. It was probably a week and a half ago.

Renewal by Andersen did a decent job putting in my windows, but their customer service is awful. I had my windows done on a Friday. But nobody called me three or four days or even a week before to give me a reminder. I called them and the lady said, “Let me call you back to make sure.” But nobody did. Initially, I had it scheduled for September 23rd. Then they called me a week later, and they changed it to October 21st. A week later, they called me again and changed it back to September 23rd. I wasn't happy about that because I wanted to take the day off to have them come to my house.
After they did my windows, it wasn't cold yet. A couple of weeks ago, it was cold and I felt a draft coming in my windows. I called the salesperson that I initially bought the windows from. I told him I was having an issue. He said, "Let me get ahold of the service department. They'll call you.” I spent a lot of money on these windows and I didn't expect a call back in a week. I wanted a call back in a couple of days. Nobody called me back. I called customer service again. The lady said, "I'll have the service department come out.” It took me two weeks to get an appointment for the guy to come out. So far, the guy's coming out next Friday, which I'm not happy with. Why does it take two weeks? If I'm spending that kind of money on windows, come out in a few days.
I live in a condo and I have to get permission. I told the lady, “What are you doing? Are you going to take apart the outside again? How does the guy find out where the draft is coming from, or why I'm getting a draft?” She didn't have a clue. Now, I gotta wait till the 28th to have them come out. I haven't paid one penny yet, and I'm not paying one penny until all my stuff is fixed and I'm happy.

The installers came in and installed 11 windows and a sliding glass door in a timely manner. It took around two days, which was what I expected. They were very pleasant. They cleaned up when they were done. I'm happy with my windows and with the second lock that I got on the sliding glass door. Before the installers left, they showed us how to open all the windows and take them apart for cleaning. They also talked to us about the most appropriate cleaning supplies for that which would include things without ammonia in it. I was very happy with the experience. The windows are rather expensive, but I'm glad I got them. There's a 20-year warranty on them. I could have received more information about when I would start the payments from the original salesperson though.

Renewal by Andersen was fantastic. I had put the order in late April, and they were installed September 27th. But they kept in touch. Two very young guys did the installation and it took them a day. They replaced four big windows. They did a good job. The windows are fabulous. I live at 10,000 feet. The house is nice and toasty. We’ve been getting very cold mornings.

I replaced two patio doors thru Renewal by Andersen. They said they could do it in four months but they did it in eight months. They had the doors in time, but they had commitments prior to my order that they weren’t getting the windows. When they got the windows for the other commitment, they did the installation as they came in timeframe-wise. So far, I like the doors a lot.

The salesman was a very nice guy. He did not pressure us and he went to great lengths to explain. I showed him what I didn't want and he understood where I was coming from. He assured me that it would be the way that we were asking for. A few days later, somebody came to do detailed measurements and he was also very professional. Then, the crew came and it was fabulous. I was looking for a mess and I couldn't find any. They were here for two days. One guy was here on both days and he was very attentive. I would tell anybody to be comfortable with this company because they deliver. They were genuinely interested in getting it done right.

I ordered sliding glass doors and a kitchen window last spring. Discussed the foot bolt at length with the salesperson as I am a single gal and want the doors cracked but locked. Doors installed beginning of September, no locks. No plugs covering installation screws either. Many many phone calls, told the small parts were in Portland so wouldn’t be able to install for a month (what, no FedEx) and now I will be traveling. Doors look terrible and can’t use as intended. Horrid customer service, many phone calls from nice people who do nothing. This was an extremely expensive exercise in slowly getting an incomplete product, with poor customer service. I could have done this at Home Depot last spring for way less money if that’s what I had wanted. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

A rep came over, measured the windows inside and out, discussed options, and told me which ones would be more cost efficient for me. They showed me the discounts that I would qualify for. They were also doing a special where there were no payments in two years. They let me know and sent out reminders that there was a two to three-month waiting period for the windows to be completed on the manufacturer side. Once they were ready, they installed them. It took two days to complete the project. They walked me through how the windows work and let me know on what would void the warranty. I love the windows and I would highly recommend Renewal by Andersen.

Renewal by Andersen has a superior product than some of the other companies that I looked at. The sales rep was very thorough, to the point where I thought he talked too much. But he was very knowledgeable about the product. Any questions or any problems we have, we just give him a call. But the time that it took was horrible. They said it would take them six months. I was shocked. When I ordered the product in March, I wanted it in before the snow flies. My bedroom windows are horrible. They would frost up. But luckily, I was able to get them in before the weather changed. The installers were very thorough. They knew exactly what they were doing and cleaned everything up after themselves. They did a fantastic job. I'm very happy with the windows.

I had Renewal by Andersen install eight windows and one sliding glass door. Part of it was during the pandemic and it took them a while. Part of the order came in and they had to wait for the rest of it to come in. It was understandable, and they emailed and kept me updated. I called one time just to double-check because there was a lag in-between because it was supposed to happen in February. They called me in February, then I didn't hear anything in March. I called back beginning of April and they said they were gonna come and put them in. The installers got them done quickly because it was still cold then. They were very efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. It was, all in all, a very good experience.

The techs came at the beginning of August and before I knew what happened, they had the windows and installed them. I like a lot of the features on the windows. The only thing that I was a little shocked with was that I purchased the casement windows and the other casement window in my bedroom, the original one measures 22.5 across. But this window measures 18 which is a four-inch difference. Other than that, Renewal is the only way to go.
It's pricey and I paid five grand for two windows but the installer was the best I have ever seen. I was surprised because they sent one installer. His name was Tony and he's a really conscientious and neat guy. We couldn't even tell he was in the house. We had good rapport. I said, " Do you want anything to eat? Do you want anything to drink? Just let me know." He said, "Oh, you're awesome." And I said, "So are you. You're doing hard work, up and down the ladder, making measurements."

When I had Renewal come and I talked with Ruben, I saw why the cost is a little bit higher after listening to his presentation. He really explained the whole process and how the windows work. He explained how they were built and the materials used. He went over how the installation would go. It's definitely an investment. We had a couple of bay windows done as well as rollouts for the bathroom and laundry room.
The techs were very professional and they were here on time. They did a great job installing, cleaning up, and keeping me informed of what they were doing and any issues they had. I had the guy come out last week to touch up the stucco because there were a few windows that were difficult to get out. But overall, I'm very happy with the way the windows have come out. Most of them were done upstairs and I can tell the difference in the heat up there. Before, when you're on the main level, it's comfortable. When you go upstairs, you feel the heat. With the new windows in here, it's pretty close to the downstairs temperature.

We got our whole house on Renewal by Andersen so we got a variety of products. They told us it would take three months because of actually getting the windows in. But they came in before three months and on the installation day, it took the reps less than eight hours. They were 100% clean and the only thing is that only one of them spoke English. If people are going to purchase windows from somebody else, they should look into Andersen windows. It is a better product. They're more energy efficient and we can't even hear a lot of the outside noise anymore, which is great. Compared to other windows, you pay a little bit more money, but you're getting a lot better of a product. You can tell it holds in the air and even when people get a shower before, you wouldn't feel the humidity upstairs from the shower. Also, the sun doesn’t come in as much.

I checked other local folks, but I also wanted to hear what Andersen had with regard to their products. The sales rep was very informative, and I felt very comfortable talking with him. He answered my questions before I even had them. I had thoughts in my head about efficiency, and his presentation answered every one of the boxes that I had questions with. So I was very satisfied with him.
Installation was wonderful. Two gentlemen were here, then a project guy came later to double check. When they got here, if there were any questions or concerns while they were putting windows in and doors in, they addressed them right there. When they ran into different situations in my house, they brought that issue up to me. There are different thicknesses in the walls, and the finishes around the windows had to be different depending on the thickness of the wall. I looked, made a decision right then and there, and everything was done more than satisfactorily. The protection from the sun is definitely noticeable, and I'm very happy. I want to wait to see what happens over the winter, because my previous windows were single pane, and when there was a wind blowing, I could see my slider door moving.
The communications were excellent as well. Renewal by Andersen called several times, making sure the appointment time was set up. The sales guy also called that afternoon while the installers were here then he called later that evening after the job was done. He checked about the cleanup and other stuff. I've been very satisfied with all of it.

For the most part, the window replacement went okay. It didn't take quite as long for everything to get done as we expected. But within two days after the windows were put in, I noticed some damage on one of the windows. Later in the day, a piece of one of the windows was laying in front of my house. The windows were very expensive and with one of them having damage on it where it's not really something that can be caulked. Having the entire window taken out and put back in is not reasonable. It's just very expensive for something that to be now a scratch and dent item. I'm hoping that the other issues that need to be fixed are done in a timely matter. It should have been 100% all the way around. If something got scratched during transportation, it should have been noticed and pointed out to me. It should have been something handled at the time.
Other than that the windows are beautiful and they function well. It has rained since they were put in and there wasn't any leakage.

Renewal by Andersen was great when they were putting up the windows. It’s just that one little thing at the end where they put something and I had to get out of the house because I had to breathe in that stuff. Other than that, they put them in fast. They explained to us as they were putting on the windows and showed us how to put them up and down. But my husband still couldn't get it then. So, I asked the lady if she could send us a video because sometimes we forget. They did email him, so I have it on there just in case. But I told them the last time the other windows didn't hold in the cold air. And when it got cold, my mother-in-law and I were here because my husband had to work in town. The slider went good but didn’t come with a lock assembly for the outside keyed entry and screen was also missing. They would return and install. The French Doors came somehow broken with a busted panel and did not know what was broken actually. They would order appropriate panel. Upon calling them 2 weeks later they said they wouldn’t see part or new door til mid August which was another 5 months of waiting. I called someone in management to find why the long wait for an existing install but they couldn’t give us any install date sooner.
They did come to install French doors mid August but the 5 point locking system grinds when we lifted handle to set 5 point locks and closed the dead bolt but you can unlock some of the locks from the outside handle but luckily the dead bolt stays locked but it’s not repaired as of end of August and still waiting on slider lock. It seems no one can expedite the lock till end of September. They don’t care about existing paying customers as it shows in their service. I will never use Renewal by Andersen again.

We had done some research on windows and window replacement and had looked at some lower cost vinyl window options but wanted to explore better quality options. Renewal by Andersen gave us information and options to replace our clouded oversized window with a great new design that met all new code requirements. They also offered a higher quality product, with better warranties at an acceptable cost and we ultimately decided to go for it.
At the start we were given realistic expectations of delivery given production delays post-pandemic. Knowing that we were getting a window specifically manufactured to out exact measurements was more important to us than the wait time. And happily our window was actually ready weeks sooner than expected! The entire team, from our sales consultant, Robin and installation manager, Jack, was superb. But the install team is what makes it all real—exchanging the old window for the new one! And Chase and Greg, our installers, perfected the dream for us!! They were prompt, courteous, meticulous and very skilled! The removal of the huge old window was challenging but they handled that and everything else like pros. They finished by leaving our home and property in excellent condition.
During and after the process, from signing the purchase contract to post-installation, the Andersen team has been in touch with us to ensure all was going well. That’s an almost lost art of great customer support and service! Plus, “The jewel in the crown”—the new window, is absolutely beautiful, inside and outside. Even more than we’d imagined. It has made our entire household so happy to have a crystal clear view of our little piece of the world and sky and we appreciate everything Renewal by Andersen has done.

You can not get your windows fixed. You cannot get service, and apparently you cannot get parts this year either. What good is a warranty if no one will come to your house after the install? And it is raining inside my house - through the Andersen window, nothing to do with the roof. If you spray the window with a hose, water comes in from the window pain. I purchased a bay window from Renewal by Andersen. They said it would take about six to eight weeks to come in. It took a little bit longer because of the supply chain. The crew came in and introduced themselves. They looked at the window and from that point forward, they took care of everything. They put protection in the room so that any debris that they were working with wouldn't get into the rest of the house. They put a special mat down on the floor to protect the floors in case they had to walk through the house to get to the window. When the window was complete and they were done with all of the construction process, the leader of the crew walked me through how to operate the windows, how to clean them, and gave me all the paperwork. It was, overall, a great experience.
The windows seem really strong. Just the way that they operate, they're so much better from the window that I’ve replaced. The sidelights move so much better. There was a bit of a delay, but it's like with everything else, supply issues. But I was kept informed on the progress of the project. I would be out of town for the initial installation date, but we postponed it a week. The two guys that did the installation were wonderful. I have a higher threshold and I keep tripping on it when I go out the door. But that's just something that I have to deal with. I went from a French door to a sliding door, so there is a track there. We had Steve with us as the consultant. He went above and beyond explaining the windows and products, evaluating our needs, and being very honest about what we really needed to replace and how we could balance it over a few years. The first year we did all the windows on the first floor. The second year, we did the windows in the master bedroom. The installers were immaculate. The cleanliness, the care for my home, the property, everything was really stellar. I have recommended Andersen windows to anyone who asks me where I got my windows.
The window in the dining room wasn't closing the right way. Steve looked at it when he came in for the consultation for the master bedroom windows, and right away, we put in a ticket for having that one repaired. When the technicians came in to install the master bedroom windows, they repaired it. I couldn't ask for more. They truly answered all my questions, showed me what to do, explained how I was not closing the window the right way, and practiced closing the window with me. It was really an outstanding team.

The door was installed and when the installers asked for me to review their work I noticed that the grids were different in the operating panel and the fixed panel. I brought it to their attention as well as a mold defect and scratches internally on the glass of the operating section of the door. They made phone calls to notify their office.
It’s now the end of July and still haven’t made the issue correct. I’ve spoken to Francis from the Renewal and he’s been nothing but disrespectful towards me. I asked for recordings of our phone conversations (expecting they record for quality purposes) and he informed me they don’t record. We’ve been paying for a door that’s not right nor was this a cheap purchase. Extremely disappointed and recommend that others think twice when utilizing this contractor.

There were a few glitches with our experience with Renewal by Andersen. In the master bathroom, the casement window was supposed to crank left to right, and it cranks right to left. They're going to try to see if they can change it with the existing window. I don't know how they're gonna do that. But the problem is, when you crank it the way they have it, I have a direct view and my neighbor has a direct view of me and vice versa. From a bathroom, that's not really a good thing. So even though you put a towel when you get out of the shower, it's still not a good thing. Hopefully, we'll be able to get that resolved. One other thing, the quarter round or around the window has to be changed for that window. But all the other windows seem to have been fine.
I had some problems with the trim. The molding that I had picked out wasn't exactly what I wanted. They were willing to make a change. But when they took the molding out that was there, there was plaster behind it that disintegrated, which we certainly didn't expect. Had I known that or somebody had told me that, we could have saved each of us a lot of trouble. Then we would have just left as one as is.
I specifically took Andersen even though they're much more expensive than most of the other windows. It’s because I didn't really want to replace the wood around the window. I didn’t want the mess. I wanted something that could fit into the existing areas that I had to replace. I have 14 windows in my living room and dining room, so I really didn't want to have to start ripping up walls. That afforded me the opportunity not to do that.
I got the E-glass. I have a lot of problems with the sun on one side of my house where I have my driveway. The new window replaced a regular Andersen window I've had since the late 80s, and that room was awfully stifling hot in the summer. It was unbearable. I always had to put the ceiling fan on. The minute that window got put in there, the room was 20 degrees cooler, which was really amazing. I didn't expect to see that much of a difference. Also always, I had a problem with the glare coming in there that bounced off my television set, and the light comes in but there's no glare. It all has to be that E-window that I never had before. The staff was also accommodating and the installers were savvy. They knew what they were doing.

I had most of the windows in my home replaced by Renewal by Andersen 12 years ago. The warranty has expired. Many aspects of these windows have failed. The crank mechanisms on the casement windows no longer bring the windows close enough to the closure lock for it to engage. My solution, fasten some strong fishing line to the window to pull it close enough to lock. The sliding windows have never been sealed well enough to withstand rain driven by a Nor'Easter storm to prevent water from entering the channels the windows slide in. They overflow into the house.
Some of the crank mechanisms on the casement windows have rusted. The metal trim on the exterior is rusting. The carpenters who installed the windows used the cheapest wood possible (end glued boards) which are coming unglued. It appears that my $30,000 window replacement is near its operational lifespan. It looks like they now offer a 20 year warranty. However, my experience with Renewal by Andersen might be a signal to shop carefully and consider other vendors.

Communication after the sale was poor, and it was a much longer wait than expected. The only hiccup we had with installation was that I thought they were gonna be replacing the boards on the window seal itself and that it was gonna be framed back out. They did as far as putting the trim work on the outside but they didn't replace the window seal area. My wife called and told me that they didn't have the boards. I said, “Oh, they don't have it, they don't start. Period.” And they talked to their boss and they told him to go to the lumberyard to get the one-by-fours to trim the windows back out once they were done.
They did it right. They put the cedar on the outside and pine on the inside. But by the time I got home, they were already too far into it that the window seals at the bottom never got taken out and new ones put in. I was like, “Well, I was with the impression that all will get ripped out.” They said, “There was enough money in all of this to where if there were some rotten two-by-fours, they would have got changed out as well.” So I said, “Well, that’s my fault for not being here. We paid 2 cash payments with 50% paid at the time of contract and the remaining 50% after installation was completed (Note: This contract was for 19 windows). The challenge was we expected +/-26 weeks and experienced 49 weeks from the time of contract to the time installation was completed and now, 2 week after completion and final payment, we are yet to receive a paid in full receipt/statement. Also, touch up painting included setting nails, repairing cracked trim, finish caulking, adding additional trim nails and then ultimately painting. Finally, the installation contractor was a no show/no call, the first scheduled installation day, causing the installation to take a portion of two weeks instead of three (3) consecutive days in one week.

The rep was very informative. He had good props that he brought with him that showed the quality of the items. Everything was really efficient with the way he handled everything. I was impressed with him. The installers were excellent. The project manager verified the measurements before the door was ordered after the salesman was here to double-check his work. They called us on the phone and gave us updates. I was very pleased. Also, the quality of the product is really good. It looks nice.

We like Renewal by Andersen. We're pleased with the guy that came and measured the windows, and the ones that put them in. They did a super job. I put stuff down so that didn't ruin the carpets and they even helped us replace some of the furniture that we had to put back. My husband and I are close to our 80s and we can hardly lift that stuff anymore. So, we appreciated that. Also, they cleaned up good. There was no mess and they took the old ones with. So, we were pleased all the way around. We have a few more windows that we might replace in the house later. So, we would go back with them.

The Renewal by Andersen representative that came didn't seem to be selling but explaining. I also like seeing the windows and how they could be cleaned and the options available because I wasn't always seeing the same options from other vendors. When we made the deal, it was still in 2021 so we got the prices for 2021. We had trips coming up in April and May, so we initially asked that they not be put in too quickly. We wanted to wait until our trips were finished. As it turned out, it took at least that long and maybe a little longer to get the product. But that was fine with us because we weren't rushing from the store.
Whatever date they set for the installation held and the install process was phenomenal. They were a very courteous crew. They didn't have a mess to clean up because they found ways to keep things clean as they went. I thought it would be three days but it was only two. When I looked at the hole that was left after the old windows were removed, it wasn't square, and yet when they finished, it looked like it was. They made it work.
I got seven windows and two doors. One was a fixed-in-place window that was between our living room and a new patio so we had viewing between the two areas without the need to move the window. There were some standard windows, up-down, pull it out to clean it. There is one large almost picture window. It's got two halves where if you needed to escape from upstairs, you could. It goes from left to right, right to left. One is an itty-bitty window in a bathroom upstairs that's fixed in place. For the doors, one was a double French door. The other was a basic door to the exterior. The windows and the doors have been great. Our only problem is they're so nice, clear and clean that we've had a bird die already because he flew into the big fixed window.
The part that convinced me was the forever guarantee as long as I own the home or if someone buys the home. My understanding had been that the guarantee passed on to whoever owned the house. When I finally got the written documents, there were changes made in the warranty agreement. I don't know that my agent knew in 2021, but I feel that I got caught in the midst of a change and the warranty applies when the install is done. That makes sense but I should have been aware of the wording change. That's the only downside of the experience.

My new windows are fabulous. The installation crew was top notch! They were pros that showed up on time and got right to work. They cleaned up as they went room to room to ensure there would be no open holes in case something went amiss. The end result was all my windows got replaced in one day and I couldn't be happier.

Andersen’s done a good job on the replacement windows that I have. There's a couple of minor problems that I need somebody to come back and take a look at. There's a handle missing on the bottom part of one of the three windows that I just had installed. Then, there's a little plastic piece that fell off on one of the inserts on another window. Other than those, the windows look beautiful and are working fine. It's been a terrific experience, and I'll continue along with Andersen for the foreseeable future.

The sales rep was very thorough. The customer service was very good as well as the people that installed the windows and doors. The guy was very honest. He did his job and didn't interfere with anything. He made it as unintrusive as possible in terms of taking the windows out and putting in the new doors and windows. I like the windows. One of the pieces was mismatched (one was white and one was metal). He said that they should have sent two white ones but they didn't. He was supposed to get the right piece and bring it back. I will call ‘cause that has been a while now.

I have been burned by too many contractors to mention. I saw a rep soliciting people as they walked into the local hardware store [red flag 1] I quickly darted to the right. Then I overheard him say "windows and doors", I had a need and because I trust this particular local hardware store I thought I'd give them a shot. I explained that I had water coming into the house and the soonest they could get me booked for an appointment other than <24 hours was 2+ weeks [red flag 2]. I finished my shopping and in that time an appointment freed up [red flag 3]. I took the appointment.
The rep was on time, personable, seemed knowledgeable although there were a few questions that couldn't be answered and definitely a lot of "we are the best" and subsequent promises made [red flag 4]. The price was astronomical! 3 24 inch octagon windows in unfinished attic space was retail $9k but after "discounts" including a "if you sign today" discount, still $6k [red flag 5]. 2 of the windows are on a third floor and out of reach of any ladder I own and, ya know...COVID...and inflation and labor is hard to find and 3rd floor and water coming in...and we are the best, our own crews, experienced, warranties out the wazoo and you don't have to worry about a thing. It all sounded too good to be true [red flag 6].
I signed the contract and scheduled the "1/8th inch precision measure of each and every window" which was to include an evaluation of any water damage with the full disclosure that if there was structural damage that I would have to remediate that before they could proceed but they'll let me know during the measure so we avoid surprises at install time. I showed them the attic access points, pictures were taken, I made doubly sure that they had all the information they needed and to be sure that there would be no shenanigans day of, was reassured "Don't worry, we're professionals. We got it from here". I really, really wanted to believe that and if I didn't like how things went with the measure I could cancel (up to 3 days from signing the contract, measure was scheduled on that 3rd day).
I didn't like the way things went with the measure. The measure tech, nice guy, showed up without a ladder. He looked at the same attic I looked at with the rep and said "even if I did have a ladder I can't put it on this unfinished attic floor where I need to measure these windows" and after several calls to management concluded "I'll just measure this one we can get to and order 3 of those and by the way, you're going to need to finish that attic floor before we come back out". I lost count of the red flags at this point and cancelled the project. I called the sales rep directly and he seemed genuinely shocked and disappointed. He wanted to "make it right" but right would have been the measure tech knowing exactly what he was getting into and what was expected of him and showing up with a ladder. That time had passed and I had only a matter of hours at this point to heed the red flags and back out, so I did.
I am sure it is a quality product but the only way I could justify that price was with not having to deal with miscommunication between sales and techs, not having measure techs show up unprepared, not having managers saying "just measure one and order 3", not being in the middle of sales and techs and managers and having to advocate for myself to get the high level of service I was paying for. Long story short, brace yourself for the price and temper your expectations on the experience.

My experience with Renewal by Andersen started with Deborah. She was the representative that came to the home, explained how everything worked, took some pre-measurements, and talked about finances. She was real thorough, and the visit was an hour and a half. She was a very pleasant lady, and I would buy anything from her. The greatest part was, after the job was finished, she came back to inspect it, see if we were satisfied 100% and made us really feel at home. It was a really great experience.
Jose and his team of installers were awesome too. We moved almost everything we had to move, and they only had to move one thing away from the window. They were very timely as well as respectful of the home, keeping the house clean and putting tarps everywhere. We discussed about starting downstairs first, then doing the upstairs second and they were good with that. They got it done in two days and cleaned up everything really good. They were very good guys, and I trusted them. The windows are awesome, and I’ve got a lot of positive feedback for them. Compared to what we had, the noise level has just disappeared and it seems like the cooling system is staying cool longer inside the house than before.
I’ve had several people asking about Renewal by Andersen. I tell them, “Hey, call them. It's well worth it.” I’ve had people look at the windows, because unfortunately, we had to trim back a tree in the front of the house that got hurt with the freeze. It exposed the house a lot more and people are seeing the upstairs windows, how nice they look, and the downstairs windows. They’ve been asking, “Who did your job?” I told them. Deborah left some cards around, but everybody’s got something they’re gonna do around the house for the summer. With everybody’s finances, everybody's planning a year out of what they’re gonna invest in in their home. We started planning this last year and it finally got done.
Three months ago, before the install, I got a $10 Subway gift card to let me know that, “We’re still in the process. We know it’s taking long.” It was just to say, “Hey, thanks for being so patient. Everything’s still going on.” However, they told us from the very beginning it would be months before we would get in the install. Knowing that, we were fine. We knew we were taken care of, and we knew it was gonna happen.

Renewal by Andersen said the installers would be here at 10:00, but there was some confusion about unloading their truck and they came at noon. That was fine because they were so efficient and they got everything done, covered everything inside the house, and were very good about keeping everything organized. They did all the caulking, while my daughter did the interior painting. I had to paint the grids to match the rest of my woodwork, and I knew that would be necessary. The installers did everything I wanted, left things in good shape, and the window fits perfectly. It was beautiful. I'm very pleased with my window, except for one tiny detail. There were two missing trim pieces in the box and they said they would order them and bring them here, but they haven't yet. I'm still waiting for that and it's been 10 days.

We were happy with the rep from Renewal by Andersen and we had wood veneer on about two thirds of the window, the matte, the wood that we already had on inside. Other than Renewal being a big player in the market, probably the reason we went with them, as much as anything, was because of the quality. We're quite happy with it. Also, they were the only people we talked to who could do a wood interior. I was amazed with the installation process. The reps knocked everything out in a day and a half.

Of all the companies I have dealt with, Renewal by Andersen is the worst. Of the 6 appts scheduled by cust. service, 5 had to be rescheduled by them. One of the appts which had to be rescheduled was for the installation of the windows. This appt was cancelled less than 24 hours from the time they were to be installed. This was after we had removed all curtains, blinds, objects on adjacent walls and furniture within 3 feet of windows. I called cust. service at least 8 times and had to leave a message in voice mail because there was never anyone to speak to. I did not receive a call back in all 8 instances. Several times I could not leave a message because the mail boxes were full.
The salesman went on vacation with our $15000.00 check in his pocket and no one at the office knew where it was for over a week. When the windows were finally installed (8 months later, not 2 to 4 months as promised) a screen was missing. It was to be ordered that day and I was to be contacted when it came in. After waiting 2 months I called and was told yes, it was in, and made an appt for installation. I got the impression it had been in for a while and I'd still be waiting if I hadn't called.
These are only some of the reasons I will never recommend Renewal to anyone. They may make a decent product, but that does not make up for the lack of professionalism and caring about the customer once the sale is final. If I had known then what I know now I would have saved myself a lot of time, aggravation and money and purchased my windows elsewhere.
Denise, thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your less than pleasant experience with one of our teams. I'm very sorry to hear about the hassle and the lack of communication. I'll be sharing this feedback with the local management right away. Thanks again for your review, Denise.

Renewal by Andersen emailed, called and let me know when they were gonna be and what I needed to do. The installers were very professional, wise and did a great job. I've got brand-new sliding doors, which are fantastic. They've been working like a charm. So, I have no real issues.
It would have been nice to know my budget the first time though. Renewal’s reps came around a second time with what they call a senior salesperson and knocked off a couple of thousand. We needed one window replaced in our upstairs bathroom due to dry rot. We first contacted the company in July of 2021. We did not get our one window until January of 2022, and even then there was no interior trim, plus new cracks in our drywall near the window. Every single step of the process was flawed. They scheduled an installation date, but failed to check if the window was actually manufactured (it wasn't). Claimed supply chain issues. Said they would notify us the instant the window arrived in the warehouse, but didn't.
After repeated calls from me, they found the window in the warehouse, and it had apparently been there for a while (blamed this on new staff). They 'forgot' to drop off the exterior trim boards that I needed to paint prior to installation -- I had to call and ask for them. Said someone would call me for an installation date/ but didn't; I had to call to schedule installation.
When the window was installed, it was backwards. We specifically asked for the hinge to be on the right and the opening to the left (because all the bad weather comes in on the right), but the hinge was on the left. There was no interior trim. I had to call to arrange the trim. Multiple MULTIPLE phone calls and emails to get the correct window. Each person I talked to was super nice, and promised to take responsibility for fixing the problem, but no one ever returned my calls and there was no solution offered.
Finally, I found out the name of the manager, Cherish **, who was the first AND ONLY person to offer a solution of any type. We ultimately kept the original (incorrect) window because it was going to be another six months to create one with the hinge on the right. Not my preference, but I was so sick of RBA at that point that I just wanted to be done with it. Cherish ** arranged for the interior trim to be finished and for the drywall to be fixed, and gave us a bit of a discount. Throughout the entire process, I got the sense that the company is overly splintered and communication is terrible. If it took me six months to get one window (the wrong window) installed, I can't imagine the nightmare that could happen with a larger project.

The designer came out to help figure out how to do the windows. I wasn’t seeing a wow factor until she came out and laid it down. In a matter of minutes, there was the wow factor and I was ready to go. The installers were terrific. They were like a well-oiled machine. They hardly talk. They just worked and worked hard. Everybody knew what to do. They did a really beautiful job. They finished a day and a half before what was told me they would. I'm really, really happy overall. Even the person who called to schedule the installation was a cut above. In these times, it was a pleasure to talk to someone that wants to explain it all and make sure I was going to be happy with it.
After the installers left, it was not more than an hour until somebody from Renewal by Andersen called me to ask me how they did. She seemed to really care and ask questions and wanted to know. She was excited about it. It was like they were sharing in my excitement at the moment. It was a breath of fresh air to work with Renewal by Andersen because I was getting that kind of positivity from them as well. From the beginning to the end, from the salesperson to the designer, to the customer service person, and to the installers, they acted like they really cared that this was going to be a great project. It was kind of over the top.
It was all beautiful after the installers left. But then I found three little things that needed attention. There are two windows that are close together but they both crank from the same side, and it’s over a fish pond that's built into that lower level. So I can't even reach the handle by doing it this way. I called and left a message, but I have not heard back from anybody. It’s been about a week now. There was another little issue that I saw right away and pointed out to the installers. He agreed and took a picture of it and sent that in. But I haven't heard back about that either. The installer even said, “If you want to just pay 90% or 95% until this is resolved.” I appreciated that offer. It made me feel good. Because of that, I went ahead and paid for the whole thing. But now, I wonder if I have done the wrong thing. It was very expensive and it lived up to my expectation until now.

They set up a date and a time to show up for the installation, and they showed up. It took them a couple of days to replace all the windows. They came in and covered the furniture with cloth, and they also put runners down to keep from tracking in on the floor. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They did a great job. I was impressed by how beautiful they looked and how effective they were as far as the climate and temperature control both in the winter and the summer. So, I just continued to add and add and add. I'm waiting on the salesman to show up this weekend to order my last four windows to complete my house complete.
But Andersen Windows has a process call the installation coordinators. They are absolutely impossible to get ahold of. There is no way anybody will ever call you back. They could care less how many times you try to get ahold of them. It doesn't matter how long you've been waiting and you can leave messages till you're blue in the face. No one will ever reply to you. Other than that, the installation crews were very professional, especially the first crew that I had experience with. Because they had more people, they were able to do extra things, like how they helped me put blinds back up and move furniture back into place.
Sam, thanks for your feedback. I'll make sure to get it to the team so we can work on our communication.

I contracted for a new patio door in November of 2021. Everything, from start to finished was explained by the sales rep. He even had a model of the door material that would be used when installed. He told me it would take a few months because the door would be built to specification and not pre-fab, so it would take little longer. It was a little expensive, but worth. The installers were very professional. These two men worked so well together, I was very impressed as I watched them remove the old door and replace it with the new. The first thing I noticed was it seemed to be sound proof. The door easily moves on its track, along with the lock on the door and screen, it has two positions for a foot lock for more security. One of the locks allow you to leave the door ajar to safely let in fresh air. I am very pleased, it was worth the wait and I would recommend Renewal by Andersen.

I'm very happy with the crew that installed my windows. They were respectful of my home and watched if they were trotting mud into the house. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The sales rep was very thorough. The only thing that he did not mention to me that I wish he had was that when they installed I would lose almost an inch and a half or more of your window sills. And so, when I hung my two-inch faux wood blinds, I had no window sill last on a lot of my windows.
Other than that, the quality is excellent. Also, Renewal kept me informed. They said 12 to 16 weeks from the time of ordering and every four weeks, somebody would call and say, "We're right on track," or, "We're having a little trouble getting all the materials in. It could take a little longer." They kept me aware of what was going on and didn't just leave me hanging for three months.

My experience with them went extremely well. We ordered in early December and we knew that the doors would not be installed until April. But we were consistently informed where everything was in the month between. So we knew that things were on track and the doors were in production. The three guys who came for the installation were on time. They were polite, professional and they cleaned up everything. We love the doors. They look great. We could not have asked for a smoother process. Renewal is more expensive than some of the other brands but you get what you pay for.

The installers were quick and when they were working, it was 15 below zero. I never saw them stop for breaks. I'm very happy with all their work. My house was built in 1934 and the windows were very leaky, drafty, and dusty. Now, they're super airtight and the insulation that they did on them was awesome as well. Hired Renewal by Anderson based on reputation -- although more expensive was willing to pay due to reputation. Given supply chain issues, I understood the extra 3-month delay in delivering the product when promised. But after 6 months, having improper installation causing damage to my house, I still do not have a complete product, now have a damaged home and no full product, which I paid $7K for. At this company's mercy and "no one" is accountable or responds unless legal threats are made. As much as I hate to, I may have to hire a lawyer in order to get this situation remediated, spending yet even more money. Disgraceful behavior.

Our entire home is Andersen products. So it made sense to stick with Andersen for replacements- The sales meeting with the rep was suppose to take 60-90 minutes-totaling 2 hours- the rep talked at us, talked about himself a majority of the time, and failed to listen to exactly what we wanted and promised things that were not delivered. My entire interior is off white/cream. Everything we have is cream (canvas) interior and terratone exterior. He assured us that although he was writing white in the notes it would match. Months later, it is installed, and ALL interior is pure white! The wrong color screws were used, they are exposed, and one door is defective, and we were not notified until install day that the screens were on 4 month back order- the exterior capping to match the rest of the windows and doors was done in the wrong color and not as promised.
Any time I call or email- I am told someone will contact me or they are looking into it- Someone came out to balance the one door and the other replacement parts are coming in who knows when- since I signed the contract- that is why we are stuck with the incorrect color- he would the sales rep mislead us when apparently canvas wasn’t an option?!?! To make the sale??? There is a complete issue with communication all around-sales-installers-customer service…. I didn’t research beforehand since I assumed dealing Andersen would be a great, easy experience, I feel like I am not being heard, and Andersen would rather avoid me all together… This is a very expensive mistake!!! I am incredibly surprised and disappointed with this company and experience.

They would not respond to any of my emails for months while waiting for install, then acted like nothing strange had happened and just focus on scheduling the install date rather than making the situation right with the customer. I’m so glad I started with 1 small window to test the waters with them rather than committing to a big job up front. Don’t waste your time or your money with them-for those premium prices the customer service should be much better.

I understand because everyone's at home and everyone pulled equity out of their houses to remodel just like me. Everybody is backlogged. The contractor can't start until the end of May or early June. So it's a waiting game right now. But at least I have people. Some people can't even get people. I received Excellent Service, Very High Quality Products and everything promised was done on time. I ordered 3 doors. They came out and measured twice to make sure everything was correct. The original consultant made sure I understood everything by walking me through the process and listened to what I wanted to make sure I got what I needed at an affordable price. Everything discussed was in writing and I had a copy of what was discussed, knew what I was paying for the project and the next steps that would happen.
They worked with my schedule. A crew of 4 trucks came in on time introduced themselves, explained what they needed to do and were done with the installation that day. I was told it would take 2days but they did such an excellent job in one day. They left the area clean and the work was done to perfection. They made sure every detail was perfect. The work was so noticeably attractive until my 4 year old grandson came over and the first thing he said was “Doors”. That’s how impressive the curb appeal is. There is not one flaw. The doors are top quality material. I’m Satisfied and I will have them take care of another project I need in the future.

Renewal by Andersen makes a wonderful product but extremely pricey. The company is all about sales, and the installation side uses shortcuts and their workmanship is terrible! They hire subcontractors that have different levels of installation experience. I had my entire home and gambrel garage windows and doors replaced. The installers used too much caulking, and in my opinion looked sloppy and amateurish look. Caulking smeared onto my deck as well as on my Cedar clapboards of my home. I addressed the issue with the Team Leader of the crew, and he reassured me he would take care of the problem, which he clearly did not!
In regards to the inside of my home, when installing the new Provia Steel Entry Doors they damaged the sheetrock in several areas of my home, and once again used too much caulking on the windows. Due to the poor workmanship of this Company, I had to spend additional funds to hire my finished carpenter to complete the job. It was not what I expected from Renewal by Anderson and all the hype about their reputation. A business that weighs success by profits and does not provide extraordinary customer experience.
The company sent Andy, a long-time employee of their company to my home NUMEROUS times to address the issues I encountered during the initial install. It is obvious to me; the company does not communicate effectively, specifically management with the installers. Often times Andy would arrive at my home without the necessary parts to complete the job, only to return on another date. I would arrange for coverage/work from home to accommodate his visits. Finally, I reached my breaking point and communicated with the company giving them one more chance to complete the job to my satisfaction or I was going to seek legal counsel. I strongly suggest you avoid Renewal by Andersen, find another company that strives to please their customers, and are satisfied with a fair profit. I am very disappointed with the overall experience.

We originally met with Sam from Renewal by Andersen at the beginning of 2022 and were told that because of delays and other factors, our installation probably wouldn't happen until mid-Summer, which we were perfectly fine with. That said, they got all of the pieces in (minus a few screen doors, which I'll come back to later) and scheduled a date far sooner than expected (mid-Spring), which was wonderful! The team that came and did the installation were absolutely fantastic! They were professional, insisted on doing a great job and not just the bare minimum, and had a camaraderie which made the day go by significantly faster. The installation day really was a great experience and I'm so thrilled with how everything turned out!
Once they were done - and having let us know that the screen doors were on backorder - we were contacted by Renewal by Andersen, who told us that we wouldn't be charged for the screen doors until they were installed and that they would try to make that happen as soon as possible. We're fine with waiting because the experience up until this point has been full of transparent communication. Overall, we cannot recommend Renewal by Andersen enough! This is definitely the company you should go with!

Although RBA pricing is MUCH higher than Home Depot or Lowe's, it is a complete package. The problem was that a screen door, included in our purchase, was not available (supply chain, Covid issues) when replacement doors were scheduled for install. Not a problem, one would think. But RBA then scheduled the screen installation at least twice - and each time required that we be present. First 2 screen installs were either delayed, or couldn't be completed due to missing parts from screen kit. And when I asked installers if we needed to be present, both times they said "no". But corporate told us we were misinformed and did need to be there. As it turns out, the ONLY reason they wanted us present was so RBA could immediately collect any monies due. No recognition of our inconveniences for rescheduling! Won't deal with them again - they have lost their customer focus.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're very sorry about the inconvenience caused by timeline and scheduling issues, Dave. We'll take this feedback to the team right away.

Original Review: April 1, 2022
We ordered what we considered a large project for our means. This means about 25 windows and a new front door unit. We ordered this one year ago in 2021. Our expectations set from the beginning is that it would be 2-3 months for the job to be complete. We have patience, and are understanding of a pandemic and supply chain event unlike we've ever seen around the world. However, a shift in our expectations were never communicated - we had to reach out to them, and even then, nobody could ever tell us when our project would be scheduled. From what we thought was June turned into August, and then later, and we finally had a crew at our house in late October. Never once did they proactively reach out to us to let us know there would be delays - never.
The installation crew we had was top notch, cared about quality, and the work they did was pretty amazing. If it wasn't for the care they showed and concern for great workmanship, we would have been in a bigger dilemma. It was the installation crew that informed us in October of 2021 that one of the windows (of a larger living room replacement) wasn't measured correctly, and needed to be re-manufactured. That was on Day 1 of the Install. I continue to be very thankful of that crew, because if they would have torn those windows out and the replacement wasn't a fit, the front of my house would have been nothing short of a disaster.
On Day 2 of the install, this same crew, who obviously cares about the work they do, informed us that the door frame unit was also not measured correctly, and they would not be able to install the door. This would also need to be re-manufactured. At this point, it's very late in October, and we know that the coldest part (North facing) of our house was going to be without 50% of the replacement we needed done, and now we had to figure out if we would put up the window treatments again, but we knew it was going to be cold and drafty there once again. In our mind, we know RbA was already horrible at communicating with us, but we figured we'd get our properly measured pieces by Spring. It might seem like no big deal, but this was just an exhausting event ending in disappointment.
In February, we were called and told that everything was ready and that the crew would come out on March 31st to finish the job. Great! The financing they helped us set up was already amortized and we've been paying for a job for several months that hasn't been finished. I should really go to a different site to complain about that, but I'm sure it's not legal what's happening here. Yes, I am paying for a job that isn't finished.
Yesterday, March 31st. The installer (I had not heard from ANYONE since the initial call to set up the date) calls, I clear out the garage so they can work under cover because it's not the nicest day out. Different installer, but obviously the same care for quality of work. However, his truck doesn't have all the equipment they need to 100% finish the job. No material for 2 major pieces of interior woodwork that needs to be done, and partial material for other internal woodwork that needs to be done. He doesn't have notes from anyone about what was needed, and was obviously not told a thing about the job itself, the type of wood we are using, etc.
Here's the kicker...during the almost 5 months when they took the door frame/slab unit back to their warehouse, they've lost the door. So obviously, if they mis-measure the unit, they are going to not eat that cost, they are going to re-use it somewhere or somehow. I'm sure that frame is installed somewhere in a house in the United States somewhere. So we have a frame on a truck that is the proper measurements, but now there is no door to go with the frame, or no slab as they call it. They're looking for it, but can't find it.
Where's my door? Where's the communication? How can you send an installer out after 5 months without all of the equipment to do their job? How can you send me surveys like I'm a paying customer when the job isn't done? Why am I paying off the financing for a job that isn't close to being finished? Why is it that nobody calls me to set my expectations properly? Why is it when I call, nobody ever picks up the phone and it's looped to voicemail 100%? Why is it when I've asked to speak with people in management, it's ignored?
So - we were excited. We needed new windows. We liked the product, and felt that it was the right fit for our home. The initial sales process was pretty good - it didn't feel like we were being sold (although we were) but it was consultative selling. From there, it's been a horrible, stressful, dreadful experience, with the exception of the installers who care about quality, and tell it to you straight, even if it's not what you want to hear. It is not a feeling, but a fact that they don't care about us, have no concerns over our schedule, our life that has been disrupted, and certainly have a lot of work to do on their client services and operations teams being in lockstep and properly communicating with each other, but more importantly with their customers. I see that I'm writing this on April 1st...I am the fool.

We were billed for the first monthly payment. Since the process has started nobody has been able to helped us out. We wanted to stop the purchase and we were told that it was not possible. Once someone comes to repair a window and makes the report to the company, somehow nobody has an idea about who came to your house. They don't know what I'm talking about. This company train their employees to persuade the customers so they can make a profit.
The sales representatives puts you under pressure and you feel forced to make the purchase. As a new homeowner you want the best for your house, but this was the biggest mistake we ever made. Once you signed their contract, they totally forget about customer service professionalism. No one seems to care about their customers concerns or complaints. Every time I have called for a complaint I get transferred to so many people and nobody helps out. Every phone call ends up with "you will receive a call back" but no one calls back. It has been 7 months and I'm still waiting on the call back. I have sent 2 letters to corporate and they still not getting back to me.
Windows by Andersen just cared about the profit of every contract signed by their customers. Everything is based on lies and peer pressure is their best option to trapped customers. The employees are very rude and unprofessional. Their products might be made of good materials but it's ridiculous expensive. I wish I never made this decision. I don't know how this business still running. I'm very disappointed. Windows by Andersen should be embarrassed of promoting their business and treating customers like garbage.

I really want to acknowledge the crew, Louis, Gregory, Angelo, Robert, Mike, Edgar and Alazar (I hope I haven't left anyone out). They worked hard and I actually enjoyed having them in my home. I've had other work done on my home and no one compares to this company and its crew.

I had my second installation with Renewal by Andersen. The windows are gorgeous and they keep the heat in. Renewal by Andersen came through with flying colors with the installation. The quality is good as well as the dependability.

I did a door on the side of the garage with Renewal by Andersen and they were fantastic. The installers called and said they would be here at a certain time and they were. They cleaned up after themselves, were very polite, and professional.

The entire process of purchasing a door was seamless and easy. The communication was excellent throughout the process. The highlight was the installation crew! They were fantastic and absolute perfectionist.

We were very pleased with Renewal by Andersen. The delivery time was shorter than we thought it was going to be originally and their reps were very professional. They were very quick and they did a wonderful job.

Anderson rep (Patrick) was very attentive and patient. Service reps called several times to provide an update on the door. Install team was very respectful of my property. I had questions, lead addressed my concerns which didn't make me feel like he was talking.

I had over a dozen windows including a beautiful bay window installed and I couldn't be happier! My home feels so cozy and the entire process from phone call to install was awesome! The product is definitely worth the price and Daniel and his crew really take pride in their craft and it shows. I highly recommend Renewal by Andersen and will definitely call upon them again for all of my window, door and glass needs in the future.

The initial process took three months, for the order to go by and to be installed, but communication was very good. Then, there were a couple of things that were pointed to us by the installers that needed to be corrected. It was another two months for that to be turned around and get rescheduled. But there wasn’t an issue. It's amazing how easy the new windows open, how secure they feel in having gone through a little bit of winter, and how warm they feel when you walk by them on a cold day.

I have wanted new windows for a few years. When Chris ** came to my home after I requested an appointment he was very professional. Chris answered all of my questions and gave wonderful demonstrations on the windows. I purchased 11 new windows. My was very excited and when they called to set up an appointment I was thrilled. The installers Oleg, John and Yuriy were incredible. They were very respectful, clean and did an amazing job setting up barriers to protect my belongings. I was very impressed with the way the installers answered all of my questions and explained the whole process to me. The ladies in the office Caitlin & Christy were always in communication with me from the beginning to setting a day for the install. What an amazing company and they really go above and beyond in communicating every step of the way.

We've known about Andersen for quite a while and they were reputable. We had an individual come call on us. They were very professional and did a very good job. We had 15 windows replaced at the house and that turned out excellent. We're very pleased.

The quality, workmanship and craftsmanship of Renewal By Andersen window products is underwhelming and is not anywhere near what Renewal By Andersen television advertising postures. My windows were installed in October of last year and there were items missing at the time of the installation. It is (five months later) and I am still missing these items. I have made attempts to call "Bobby **" a member of the RBA franchise management team about the damaged windows that were installed at the original installation to get a date for my windows to be installed. I have made several attempts to contact Bobby and he has not returned my calls, texts or emails. I am extremely dissatisfied with lack of integrity and professionalism of Renewal By Andersen.

The Renewal by Andersen rep was a decent guy. I had told them that I didn't need them to come in and do the whole spiel about the window and the light thing. I just needed them to give me a price and that was exactly what they did. The windows that they were replacing, there was some damage to the structure on the outside. He replaced that, and put the windows in. He was here longer than he expected to be, but he did a nice job. It was also done within that day. The quality of the windows is good.

Sam was my salesman and he was very positive, personable, and honest with me. That was why I was able to listen to him and make a decision in regard Renewal by Andersen. We got a new door in my kitchen, some side doors, and screens. The kitchen door is wonderful and I have no regret. The quality is excellent and even the hardware. I've had compliments from folks because the door is in my kitchen. This one is very secure and very attractive. My kitchen is walnut. The door frame is brown and it has a little paint inside. It's easy to clean because the little frame wooden things aren't in the way like they were before.
But I made a mistake. I have a full glass door and it's not good. I had to put some of those little stick-ons and the view of where the eye would be because I don't want anybody to walk through that glass. I should not have gotten that. As for my side door, I got the convertible where you can lift it up and down for the screen then the storm window. Overall, the doors are wonderful and I would recommend them to anybody. As a matter of fact, I had a sister-in-law who came over and wanted to know about the doors and where I got them. They're costly but it's worth it because I feel very secure. They're solid and sturdy.

Wouldn’t return calls. After waiting 6 months I found out they still hadn’t put in the order for my last window so I just cancelled it and got it somewhere else. THEN they tried to get me to “re-sign a new contract” for $34,000 MORE than I owed to start with. The girl in the office was extremely rude. Instead of trying to make things right, a supervisor called and treated me like I was just another stupid customer he had to deal with that day. Enough is enough! Don’t deal with the these crooks!

This home is my largest expenditure that I own and I wanted the best windows for the house. I've been in it for 20 years and I didn't want plastic windows. I had Renewal by Andersen do 16 windows and this has been the most wonderful experience we've ever had with owning a home. The salesman that sold the windows to us was perfect. I was in sales all my life and I hope I did as good a job as he did. He explained everything to us. We had had two other companies give us a bid on the windows and we saw samples of their windows and we weren't happy with them. We had plastic trim windows before in the home when it was built. When we saw the frame and the quality of these windows, there wasn't any choice other than Andersen. The crews were the same way. They did their stuff and cleaned up after themselves. It was just a terrific organization.
There were 12 windows on the back and we did those first. It only took about four weeks to get to the windows in. We then decided to do the front soon as the installers finished that and it took a couple of months to get the windows. We ordered them in November and they did them here in March. Other than that, we were pleased. I'm close to Interstate 30 and you can't hear the interstate traffic at all. We had a bird chase a dove into one of the windows on the backside and it just went thud. It was right by my head and that left some dust from the bird's feathers. During the cold that we just had at both times, the frame of the windows stayed about slightly cooler than the inside of the house. We didn't have any cold air coming in the home.

You better hope they install it right the first time and you don't need anybody to come and fix anything. If you do, it will be super hard to get ahold of anybody and when you do, they won't actually listen to you. I had a front door and storm door replaced. Everything was going well for the first 2 weeks, then neither door would close correctly. I emailed and called for 3 weeks with no response, then I finally heard from them and they sent somebody out. He told me to wait another month as the weather stripping just needed more time to settle. Also, the installers took a chunk out of the siding on my house. When I mentioned it to the installers, they claimed that damage was already there, which it was not. The guy that came out also fixed that with some caulking, which is fine, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the installers tried to tell me the damage was already there.
Well, a month and a half went by and the door closing problem was not any better. On top of that, because the doors wouldn't close correctly, a wind picked up the storm door and it pulled away from the frame, cracking the frame in the process. I spent a month trying to contact somebody, ANYBODY, at Renewal. The guy that came out and told me to wait another month wouldn't even respond to emails or calls. I sent pictures of the damage and what needed to be fixed. I finally got a generic TEXT message one day that said my part had come in and they scheduled a date for my repair. Never even bothered to call or email to discuss what was wrong. Well guess what?
The guy got here today and the only part they ordered was the flashing/weather stripping to fix the closing problem. Nothing to fix the actual part that broke on the storm door. Maybe if somebody would have CONTACTED me, I could have told them what was going on. So now we are going to have to wait who knows how long for them to actually order that part and come out and fix it. Very poor communication and customer service. Even after the doors were installed, nobody contacted us to ask how the install went or if we have any problems or questions, which seems like something a company that claims to have excellent customer service would do. Instead, they made us feel like they just wanted to take our money and run. I recommend NOT using Renewal by Andersen. I am glad I didn't ask them to replace our windows and patio doors. We will be using another company for that.
