The RainSoft rep was very nice, patient and took the time. We got their water filtration system and then the air purifier. The installers were very professional and very nice. They took their time because my husband wasn't home when they came and installed. They answered a lot of my questions and it makes me very comfortable that if there were any questions, we could ask them. With everything installed, I don't see much of a difference with the air purifier, but my husband does. Also, the water is softer so the skin is softer too and there's no calcium build up in the sink.

Rainsoft sent somebody out after I did a Home Depot survey. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installation guy who came was also good and awesome. Hearing about the Michigan situation, I wanted to make sure I was safe and I got the Rainsoft water purifiers. I noticed a big difference, especially in the taste of the water. Even the water out of my refrigerator filtration system tasted different.

My fiance and I were at Home Depot and there was somebody walking around offering presentations. They knew a lot about the water quality in our area and what the benefits were of the system. My fiancé is difficult to impress because he's an airplane mechanic so he was nervous about the installation of the water softener but he was very impressed. He said that the gentleman was very knowledgeable, professional and took his time doing everything and explaining everything to him.

Since our system was installed, we've definitely noticed a huge difference. My fiancé and I both have dry skin and that's improved quite a bit. We've noticed that we don't have spots on our dishes anymore and we've had to use less soap and the water tastes really good too. We've already talked about RainSoft with our friends and they're considering getting one also.

This is the third house I've had with a RainSoft unit. The systems were all basically the same but I'm sure things have changed a little bit over the 20 years. The sales reps were great and they weren't pushy at all. Then, the installation was fine and they did a good job. My only complaint would be that there's a lot of people with their hands in the jar. There's the sales rep, the install team and then the follow-up guy and they're all different people. To make the experience a little bit better, the installation team could have explained things to me and not had separate people for every little thing. But the water's much better now. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

We got RainSoft's water softener, their alkaline water and the one in the laundry room. Our coffee tastes better and cleaning my pots and pans is a lot easier. I use cast iron and wash it using regular water which is hard water. I usually rinse and wipe it out but now, I'm able to wash them and reheating them in the oven without getting rust spots on it. In addition, I have super-duper curly hair and almost to the point of where it gets really coarse at times. I used to have to use a lot of hair products. I was shampooing my hair twice, but now, I could shampoo it once and I don't use a lot of conditioner anymore. Also, I used to have to use a body wash and a soap but now, our usage of soap because of the lathering has gone down as well. I don't usually use a lot of lotion on my legs but I notice that my skin is softer now.

We also don't use fabric softeners anymore for our laundry and the smell is a lot better too because when you leave your clothes in the washer too long, they start to smell. My daughter, she's 23, washes her comforters a lot because she had dogs that jumped on her bed so it would have a smell. After washing them a few times, the ones that had a scent don't have it anymore. She also has a habit of leaving her clothes in the wash overnight and when they set in there in the morning, I usually have to rewash but now, I don't do that anymore.

So, I got the water softener for the entire house and the pure drinking water. I had some skin issues with a lot of skin irritation and I don't have that anymore since I've been using RainSoft product.

We just moved to a new home in a new area being developed and I was concerned about the smell and the taste of the water that we had. We learned about RainSoft at Home Depot during the weekend. They took our number then they called during the week and we set up an appointment for the sales rep to come out. He did a whole run through everything like testing the water, showing what they could provide, what our water should look and taste like afterwards, how it could increase the efficiency of our appliances, utilizing little to no soap products and some of the things we use in health. It would help our skin as well. So we got the water softener system and the reverse osmosis.

The installation team was great, although they had to dredge down to get to what they needed. They installed an outlet, because we didn't have an outlet readily available. But they checked with me first to make sure it was okay. Once they were done, they showed me how everything operated. They were really, really helpful. If I had any questions, they let me know that they would always be available. And now our water taste great. We used to have water delivered by Sparkletts but we've now stopped and stored the little water dispenser that we had. The only thing I'd like Rainsoft to have now is if we could get cold water without having to bottle it from the system that they offer.

But their customer service is excellent and I couldn't ask for anything more. If I need anything, like when I wanted to know how to maintain my equipment, I'm able to send a text to the sales representative and he answers it directly. There was a guy who came out and followed up a week ago and he was excellent. He made sure that all our issues were addressed, including that we had no problem with the previous people who came out for customer service. They are topnotch.

The first gentleman that came out brought us through a 45-minute to an hour presentation about the benefits of Rainsoft and the advantages of having the equipment in our home. The sales rep seemed pretty educated about Rainsoft and also some of the other desires that we have in the home about water usage. He also gave us helpful tips and hints about some of the water quality in our area. The installers were very professional in the set up. They left the general area clean and like how they found it. I'm very satisfied with the education I was provided, the service that was rendered and also the installation.

We got the digital tower from RainSoft and the one that has the bag of salt that comes with it. Before we had them installed, my wife was saying how hard the water was and that she wanted to start drinking water from home versus purchasing the water by the gallon. Now the water quality is a lot better both for drinking and bathing.

At present time, we're even still excited and very satisfied with the water quality that's being produced. However, one thing my wife has pointed out to me is that we have the oxidizer under the kitchen sink cabinet and there are three components to that and sometimes after we drink the water that comes out of our faucet, we still hear the noise as though the water is still fondling through those different components. I wanna make sure that there are no issues with that or if we need to have someone come back out and check it and get it done.

Our water was drying my skin and my wife’s hair alike so we decided to get RainSoft since my parents have them too. We got their water softener and the drinking water filters. Since its installation, our skin’s a lot more smoother, the hair doesn’t get all dry as much as it used to and we can definitely drink from the faucet. It doesn’t taste terrible. We never drink from the tap water as it is but when their rep showed us and told us that the tap water was clean to drink, I started drinking it and it tasted like normal water that I drink out of a bottle.

The RainSoft rep was very knowledgeable. She took her time with us, did all the water testing and all the background information about the company. The only thing I didn't care for was she said we can have the system for a certain price for a certain amount of time only. It was a lot of money and usually, on any decision, we always take a couple of days to talk about it and we like to research a company. But we made that snap decision right then to go ahead and do it and after the thought, I wished we had a couple more minutes to think about it and not had to sign on the dotted line. I felt they pressured me a little bit. So we did the water conditioning and purchased the system for the washing machine. Since having the system installed, my husband says he can feel the clean socks on his skin but personally I cannot.

And they were able to work with my schedule as far as the timing of the appointment. The sales rep was very nice and straightforward and he explained what he was gonna do with each test of the water and what each test would show. He took his time and wasn’t rushed and he answered any questions I had. I got the in-home water filtration system and the CleanStart for the washer. With it I don’t have to drink as much water, but the water’s better and the clothes in the washer come out cleaner. The installation team was very nice and they knew what they were doing. My wife was in Home Depot and she talked to somebody from RainSoft about the system and we had been thinking about a water softening system, so we had them come out to give us three hours of their time and discuss the whole process. I realized we had so much residual stuff left in our clothing and sheets after washing. We also didn't realize there was taste difference in the water between the pure water and what we had coming out of the tap. We got the water softening system and we got the Ozonator for the laundry. Since having them, the water certainly tastes a lot better and it doesn't have chlorine and the pH is better balanced. Also, my daughter says her hair is nicer now because the water is cleaner and we don't need to use detergent very much anymore for clothing or dishes.

The process went very well and they did a very good job. The installers were very efficient and the salesperson knew his stuff. We were very pleased with it. It's not inexpensive and we paid for it right off, but the sales rep makes it a point that a lot of the things we purchase on a regular basis would offset the cost of the system to some degree.

We have to buy laundry detergents and I was thinking about cutting back on that cost as well as electric bills. RainSoft was introduced to me at the Fall MOLA Conference October of 2016. Their sales rep, Dan, was at the conference and I told him that I was really interested in the product. He was phenomenal and stayed in contact with us all the time. If I needed to get in touch with him, he always answered his phone. If not, I left him a message and he called me right back. We started usingtthe Rainsoft system when he came out and gave us our little trial. He installed the equipment on my washers and told me that we can use that as a trial and error. If I didn't like it, it was fine, but if I did, that would be wonderful.

We started using it in December and I wanted to give it more than a month 'cause I wanted to see if it would cut down on my electric bills. For about six months, we utilized RainSoft and my staff fell in love with it. I didn't have to buy laundry detergents and I noticed that the electric bill went down a little bit. We went back out and I said I wanted to sign the contract. We have three facilities and Dan installed the equipment in our other two sister facilities too.

I recently had a rep. from Florida Energy Water & Air/Home Depot for a RainSoft product to come out at my house to give us a demonstration and to help me resolve a current situation I had with my well water. I was upfront and told the rep. my credit and not good and I was the sole provider and did not have money to put down. The presentation was great but I was told that I was going to be approved regardless of my credit and they had many other options. I signed all papers and agreed to the terms and condition, at a cost of $8,600 dollars.

And the very next day I should have someone at my property to start the installing of new equipment. That day went by and nothing, no call and no show. I called a person by the name of Nils, from the financial dept. and explained to him what I had experienced and his response was I did not have to be bitter and I replied (explicitly) my concerns. My family and I have been bathing in dirty brown water smelling like sulfur and the iron staining everything in contact.

All he was concerned about was how much I can put down and I stated what I told the rep who came out. At no moment was I told that it was based only on my credit in fact the rep deferred payments to a later date and promised so many incentives with this service and products telling me and my wife we going to be approved because all the programs they had. The only pleasant experience was with the appointed setter!!! And I still have not resolve the issue!!!

Setting up the consultation with RainSoft was good. I'm retired so the scheduling wasn't hard. My wife has always wanted a RainSoft and so we purchased the air handler and the water system. However we didn’t purchase the extra filter for the fridge or for underneath the kitchen sink. My wife called the sales rep on it and said, “Why do we need this if the thing you’re selling us is gonna solve all our problems?” But the rep was very straightforward and nice. Some unusual terms but no problem there and I felt like she was telling us the truth. I also really liked the young man who installed our Rainsoft system. He was really personable, professional, did the job and moved it into my garage even though he didn’t want to. I was pretty happy with that.

I'm very satisfied with the people of RainSoft but it's too soon for me to tell with the product as it's only been a month. They said they would get rid of the pink rings on our white toilets and sinks but did not. We were hoping that would go away and I can have a brand-new toilet. It had been a month on use of the other toilet so I figured the pipes would have been semi-washed out by then, but I’m no water expert. The gal that was representing the cleaning products came out and said our water is perfect, but that was only a week after install. So now I’m a little more curious since the pink rings are showing up.

Some of the water came out of the tap and some from a refrigerator filter system. The bottled water shocked me the most and I did some additional research on that. A lot of the bottled water is actually not that good. Wegmans' probably the number one grocery store in this area and their water is rated one of the worst. They get it from some place in Pennsylvania and that's actually what I was drinking.

I went with the Premium Drinking Water System and installation went very well. There was just one gentleman came in and I helped him with a couple of quick things which was good so I got an idea how things worked and I like to see how stuff goes together anyway. And then from that, the water itself tasted a little bit better, and when you clean your dishes in the dishwasher, there's no stains and water spots you'd see before.

The things we hear on some of the media and RainSoft's type of products concerned about health led us to consider treatment systems and so we bought a water softener and drinking filters. The vendor who came to our house was very courteous and he explained everything he did which I really appreciated. Our water is now a lot better, cleaner and softer since having the system installed so it really made a big difference. When they first put the system in, there was a problem with the seal that was on one of the tanks. It let our water run continually for about a month and a half so we got a really big water bill out of it. RainSoft people took care of it and a tech came out, repaired it, and put a new seal. They stand behind their product and they'll be reimbursing me for the overage I used above the average so I'm very impressed with that.

The installer came and explained in detail about what he was doing and what we needed to do in the future. Before, we get so much sediments from what was in the water on our silverware. Now with RainSoft installed, the dishes come out of the dishwasher a lot cleaner and spot free. It was like somebody polished our silver. Also, the water is different when taking a shower. In addition, we used to have bottled water coming in and was having to pay for that every month. With the new system, we have filtered drinking water that's comparable to the distilled water that we were bringing in so, it cut our cost back. We love RainSoft.

I was very serious about water quality and I was looking to improve the quality of water in my house. I went through a couple of independent resellers and felt the best with Rainsoft and that's why I went forward with them. I had an excellent interaction with the sales rep from RainSoft. He was quite professional and very knowledgeable. I had done a lot of research initially and he confirmed a lot of the questions that I had. I did the whole house water purification system and the installation team was extremely cordial and polite and I enjoyed having them for the install. Since I had the RainSoft system installed, I have felt more comfortable and confident cooking with my tap water, giving it to my dogs, bathing in it and drinking it. I haven't had to squeegee my shower and there's not a lot of calcium carbonate build up around my appliances. I use natural products and they last longer and are more efficient now with cleaner water.

A couple of days later, a Rainsoft rep came and showed us the whole water treatment thing and the water was disgusting. I told them that we were going ahead and doing the Rainsoft system. We got both the conditioning system and the drinking water filters. We have the spout where you can get drinking water out of it. It was installed the next day. We love it and it's been great. My shower is starting to wash all the nasty crust in the bottom and it’s really clean now.

The lady who approached us said somebody would call and set an appointment with us. She'll do a water test for free. The RainSoft rep who came out did a great job. I was curious as to what the water quality was in my area and found out about RainSoft through Home Depot's water sampling test. Their reps were very accommodating. When I had to reschedule for some reason, it was no issue. One rep was very knowledgeable about the product and the results that I would see. He was well-trained, stuck to the script they train these sales guys on, and I think it was very well done. I used to be in sales, so from a sales perspective, their presentation and the detail I went to was really good.

I have a whole house filtration and the reverse osmosis system for drinking water. The installer was very good. He made a change for me so that I could have the reverse osmosis water to the ice maker which worked out quite well, so I'm very pleased with that. I bought the equipment to test the water quality myself and made sure it does what it says, and it does improve the water quality. My wife and I have started using some of the products that require less detergent for the dishwasher and the washing machine, and they seem to work quite well. She hasn't had any issues. Also, the feel on the skin that they described we would see from softened water during showering is good. I'm pleased all around. The product is on the expensive end of the competition, but they do offer lifetime warranty and I thought it was worth it.

Additionally, I had a follow-up because I wasn't sure if the system was using the salt properly. They came back out, tested the water, and everything was good. The system was working properly. I just didn't use enough water to consume enough salt. I was pleased with that too. The after service is going to be key in my overall impression over the lifetime of the product. If I have issues with the system and they're able to come out and fix things, that will make me a happy customer.

We bought this house, moved into it one month ago, and the water seemed very hard. We moved up here from the valley and we used bottled water for cooking, coffee, and things like that because the water has a lot of residues. It was the same thing here. We were having a problem with some of the original plumbing, the faucets and shower heads getting all messed up. We then got into researching treatment systems and went from there.

The RainSoft sales representative who came out was great. He did a very good job. I was impressed with him, and he got me to buy the system. Since having our RainSoft water system installed, we noticed a difference in the water. We also got the air treatment system, and when the air conditioning first kicks in, we can tell the difference in the freshness of the air. We were told we wouldn't have to use any detergent in the washing machine, which was a little bit of an exaggeration, but I cut down about half on the amount. Overall, it's been an improvement. It's working good. The only thing is it's very expensive.

We bought a house and weren't sure about the quality of the water. We wanted to make sure what we were dealing with and Home Depot had a test kit to take a sample and mail it in. RainSoft responded and sent a technician out to explain the processes and was thorough. The rep showed us how everything worked and the test results that we had in our water. He demonstrated the water coming into the house, the water system that was under the sink, explained the benefit, and everything made sense. The only thing that was questionable was the price. It happened so quick. The rep came in, spent several hours with us, and made sure that we understood what the system provided. Then at the end, I used my Home Depot account and made him raise my credit limit, so that we could put it on there until we could work out the payments.

The water quality is definitely superior. I didn't notice that it was bad before but when I use my detergents and soaps, it said that it's cleaner and it doesn't leave the chemicals behind which I'm sure of by testing with the different chemicals showing the purity level. Also, I can tell when I get out of shower that it feels different. We had one little glitch in the system after a couple of weeks, and RainSoft sent a service tech to take it out. He knew what he was doing and got right to the problem. There were four different things that could have been the problem, but he was real quick in narrowing it down and took care of it. I was very pleased with how quickly he troubleshot the problem.

I've recommended RainSoft. Someone asked me about how it was, but the price threw them off. The reason why I probably didn't say, "Give me some time to think about it," as I usually do, is because we had just spent several thousands of dollars for all new appliances down to our water heater, and I knew that good water coming into the systems would certainly extend the life of the appliances.

We were looking for something to improve our water because I was fed up with cleaning calcium over time from everywhere, especially the faucets. In Europe, we have softer water so we never have trouble like that and the taste of tea and coffee, especially tea, would be better with softer water. During our consultation with RainSoft, the sales rep answered all our questions, so we signed up with them immediately. We had the water treatment system installed in mid-November.

The installer took around seven hours to put the system in place, because of some complications in the household settings. There's some kind of arrangement downstairs, so we had to move something to bring and install electricity there. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to work there. In addition, they had to move pipes to bring water to the location where the guy installed the equipment, and that took time. Then the guy had to drive back and bring in one item that he didn't have at hand. And then the next day, it took ten minutes to install.

However, just two weeks after having the system installed, a little clip fell off that nobody noticed and it disconnected our pipe. But we noticed within a couple of days that the water was absolutely like it used to be. We also had flood in our basement and the water wasn't draining, so the pipe was disconnected from the equipment. The RainSoft team came to look, but it took another week to get the piece so we didn't use the system for a while. Finally, somebody came and reconnected the pipe to the equipment, but the water wasn't the same anymore.

When we first got the water treatment system, it was really something. People actually would wash there just to try and see how rich the water was. Then, suddenly, that was gone. Right in the beginning, it was velvety water. But now, it's not. It's like usual water. So, there is something wrong with that. When my husband called yesterday about that, they responded well and said that somebody will call us and a technician will come on Wednesday to look into that. I hope they could get that fixed because I already have at least two of my friends who really would like to come and try the water and I told them to wait. I used to tell people about the experience we’ve had with the system anywhere I went, but now I keep my mouth shut a little bit.

I never felt that our water was really safe. I did not like the fact that the showerhead would get gooky and the drain would get tainted around it and there was a ring in the commode. A little girl stopped us at Home Depot and asked us if we were satisfied with our water. Setting up a consultation with their sales representative worked very well. He asked if he could come at a certain time in the afternoon which was fine. He was very knowledgeable, a good guy and very thorough. So, with all, a good experience. My husband went out and talked with the installation guy. He wanted to make sure that the system itself was only for the house and not for the sprinkler system. They assured him and told him how that worked. They were quite good. I was surprised that they completed the project in one action in an evening. They stayed until it's done and cleaned up after themselves.

I like the softness of the water. It feels that it helps the skin and everything. The guy had asked if I had a handheld shower, and I have a glass shower. He said, "If you'll rinse the glass after each shower, you won't have the water spots." And I don't. I like that part. We were very pleased with it. And now, I don't think twice about getting a big glass of water out of the faucet to drink when before that, I was thinking I needed to get a bottle of water. But now, I enjoy drinking water more.

Called the company same day at 4:00 pm and was told by a "supervisor" not his problem that the representative has misinformed us and that our application had not been processed yet.

I immediately asked for everything to be cancelled. Even called Home Depot to express my complaint and cancellation of the "service," since they had referred us to RainSoft for the presentation. Next day received a alert from credit bureau that my credit had been hit with 6 inquiries. Found they continued to process my application after cancellation.

Not only my credit but my wife's credit was also hit with 6 inquiries. Again called same "supervisor" but they said couldn't do anything. Their lack of consideration, professionalism and customer service is horrible. One credit inquiry is acceptable, maybe could be admissible but 6 inquiries even after I cancelled our service. Our very first exposure to RainSoft was back in 2000 when we went to a Charlotte Home Show at the Convention Center. We saw the demonstration of water softening and we were in the process at that time of building a home. We supposedly won a free water softening since our name was chosen, and they installed the system after the home was built so we enjoyed soft water for quite a while. In one instance when the system backwashed, we got a salt taste coming out of the refrigerator and we thought there might be something going wrong with the softening system. The water was coming out of the drain instead of going through the system so I thought maybe the system was stuck. After I did some investigating, I switched the softening agent to potassium chloride so we're using the system right now with the potassium. The gentleman that came and serviced it last advised that and it works. I can tell the difference in the water.

We filed a claim through my insurance and RainSoft paid at an excess of $11,000 because I had the whole house generator that was damaged. I just didn't get to claim it on the policy and had to pay out of pocket for the upgrade. I didn't want to have to pay over $2,000 for an upgrade, but I ended up doing so since the first system was fairly free and they didn't charge us anything for it. Overall, I'm very satisfied with RainSoft. When I went to Google the other day to get their number, I saw something about a scam report and that alarmed me, but my experience over the last 20 years with them has been positive.

I enjoyed a couple of showers I took though I am not home enough to experience it. Nevertheless, I tell people about RainSoft now.

    Updated review: Dec. 6, 2016

I finally got the system fixed. The senior tech came out and spent the correct amount of time to troubleshoot the problem. It turns out that the first tech here found the problem but he didn't have the part. The next two techs said that part was okay and it was a different part. Finally, Scott came out and confirmed Corey's diagnosis and put the part on, it looks like the system is working properly. We will soon see. I do think it is fixed. If this was the first tech the problem would have been solved 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and they would have received a 5-star rating. I do think that Johnny the third tech out needs help with his people skills and don't tell bull shit stories about how a surge caused the problem.

    Original Review: Nov. 29, 2016

Be wary of their Life Time guarantee. I have my system checked every year. 4 years ago it cost $75. It's now up to $155 plus a $45 charge for the service tech. I had my system checked out. It was working perfectly at the time. The service tech did something and said I needed a part and left. I went through 5 bags of salt in the next week. A different tech came out and said that part was good but it needed a different part. They said I have to pay for the part and the shipping of the part, so much for the lifetime guarantee. To schedule a time takes 8 days since they were out. For a $7000 system I expected parts to be covered under a lifetime guarantee. On the positive side, the system does work. In the long run, it's cheaper to buy a cheaper model for $400 and replace it every year.

I had concerns with soft water and got the drinking water filter system from Rainsoft. Their sales rep and installation team were very professional. The system is working pretty good, but sometimes, I see a little salt thing. I was told that after time when I keep on using the system, it should clear out all that saltiness, but it's still there. I've had the system over for three months already and I still see the water like that. If I put the water in a glass, it will stay like that for about a minute or two, then the salt will go away. I don't know if it's supposed to do that but I don't think it's really a big deal. It's still a lot better water than what I had before.

The guy from RainSoft came out to my house and did a few tests on my water. I've always filtered my water and when he did the test, he shared with me that our water through our house was in really good shape. But he showed me the canister that I could put in front where my water inlet comes into the house. I put it right after the inlet valve, so all the water that runs to my house now is filtered and I like that idea. The guys that put it in were awesome. They came in and were done in a half hour. They were very professional and I appreciated everything they did. It was a worthwhile experience and I would do it again.

Our water was full of iron so we couldn't drink it. It smells bad and stained all of our fixtures. Then we heard about Rainsoft from Home Depot. We had a great sales guy, who was very informative, clear, and professional. The installer was great too, and the sales rep who came at our home for consultation answered our questions and solidified any concerns we had. He focused on talking about all the eco-benefits which we didn't know about, and that sold us. He also told us about the laundry thing where we could only use cold water and it runs through an oxygenation thing and we thought that was the best thing ever, so we ordered that too.

I also love that they tested the water, because we found out that it has alkaline in it. He also tested the bottled water which we drink and he saved us from continuing to buy that because now, our well water is of better quality. It was eye-opening. We now drink water from our kitchen. It's clean. Nothing marks or stains. In our bathroom, the system is doing what it's supposed to but we still smell a lot of iron from time to time. We're not sure if that could possibly be the pipes, so we're going to ask Rainsoft about that. Also, the water comes through so fast. I don't know how the system picks that up. We bought a new shower head and it's got some of the rust on it, like how it turns with the oxidation. They said they would come out and do a follow up visit, but they haven't done that. Still, I've recommended them a ton.

Our water started to stink so I stopped at Home Depot and got a water test done. The rep that I talked to came out and tested the water. He was a nice guy and very polite. He showed us everything that he was doing and why and I got a softener and drinking water filters. However, I was not impressed with the installer. One guy had been there a while and he was with a guy that was in training and the guy said that he would come back and check the second guy’s work, and make sure it was good to go since it’s one of his first jobs. He left and then we left. When we got back, the guy was just finishing up but the guy that had been there a while never came back to inspect the work, so the trainee left. I went down there and looked everything over and found multiple things I wasn’t impressed with at all.

I talked to the guy that sold the unit to me and he said he’d get somebody out there as soon as possible to get it fixed, which they did. I told the guy that came out what I didn’t like and why and he argued with me a little bit on why he did stuff, which made no sense. I was not happy with him at all. He did do what I wanted him to do but it should have been done the first time. Since we've had the system installed, the water is great. The only thing I hate is the loss of pressure that we had. We used to be able to run two showers and the washer at the same time and we can’t do that anymore.

So, we decided to get their complete water filter system for the entire house. The process was quick and easy. The installer told me exactly when they were coming and what they were going to do. It took a day to install it, but due to the structure of our house, I could understand why it took him that long. Plus, I appreciated him taking that long to get it done right the first time. The only drawback was they cut walls in the Sheetrock when they extended a PVC-like pipe in one room, but it has since been repaired. Our water tastes better now. I like the silkiness feeling of the water when we wash dishes or take a shower. It was absolutely awesome.

I am concerned about what's in the water. I've had bad experiences with Culligan so I don't like them. Scharnweber is who I always have had but I was tired of them, too. When we bought something at Home Depot, we were given a sampling kit to sample water which was through RainSoft. So we took a sample, sent it in and RainSoft got a hold of us. We made an appointment and their sales rep came out and took more samples. He was very friendly and accommodating in testing the water and explaining things and we liked him a lot.

We bought the purified water system and also the carbon filter. The installer was very friendly, nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing. He got it all hooked up. He told me that I needed to fill something out on the computer which I did but it didn't go through. I talked to somebody from RainSoft and they helped me through it so that's all filled out now.

The purified water tastes very good. They explained that for a day, it would be cloudy because of all the bubbles. It was, then it cleared up. I like the idea of the carbon filter taking all the bad things out of the water on its way into the house. That means the water that I cook with and bathe in is gonna be chemical-free, so I like that. But I don't like the dish soap as much as my Dawn. I won't be ordering any more of that. I'm not sold on the bath soap either although it's great for shaving my legs. I've used the laundry soap once, too, but when it's in the washer it seemed like it got everything clean though it's hard to tell. But I'm very happy and satisfied with the Rainsoft system even if it's a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend RainSoft to a friend.

He may have hurried a little bit and talked a little bit fast. I asked him to slow down sometimes. I'm a little more laid back and used to listen to people talk slow and give me a chance to think things through. But all in all, he did a really good job.

I feel like we've been taken advantage of. Our system was installed 10 days ago. I was approached in Home Depot about allowing a 30-minute presentation in my home on water treatment systems for a $20 gift card. Our water here is terrible, so I gladly agreed. The presentation took 4 hours. And it wasn't because we goofed off.

The sales rep does this water test thing and tells me how bad my water is, has all these particles. I won't bore you with all the gory details. We got the usual scare tactics. Only we didn't know they were scare tactics at the time. We discuss in great detail, the whole house system. When he gets to the part about the system using salt, I interrupt to clarify if salt is being put into my water. He says 'no'. I find out today from doing research online, that indicates sodium does go into my water. I ask if it is a water softener like what is used in hotels. He says 'no', this is a water purifier. Hotels only use water softeners. I find out today that I have a water softener.

He says after the installation, I need to empty or run my hot water heater until empty so that we start with fresh purified water. We did that. The installer tested my hot water after that and it was still hard and full of chemicals. He said it was because it takes several days to cycle through the hot water heater. Why. We just emptied the hot water heater. He used a little portable filter that hooked up to my faucet to demonstrate. At no time were we made aware that the installer would need to drill a hole into my house to run a cord to an inside outlet.

He had me wash my hands in 'his' water. Stressed that I not touch anything until he personally dried my hands with his very own paper towels. My hands were all silky and smooth. Said my whole house water would be like that. Well, it isn't. I see no difference in my water. There is still an intermittent smell of chlorine left on the skin after a shower. They refused to 'call before they dig', saying the install guy had his very own equipment to see things underground. Well, he cut my cable/internet lines, which put me out of work for two days (I work remotely).

We were told our monthly payment for 7 years would be $75. When the financial gal stops by two days later to have us sign our paperwork, we noticed that the length of the loan wasn't exactly spelled out, so we had her figure it out on her calculator to make sure it was for 7 years. It was. Well, today, I get a statement in the mail and find out their 'financing' is actually a credit card, and if we only make the minimum payment of $75 it will take more than 10 years to pay off the loan. Needless to say, I wish we would've canceled in the first 3 days. I am looking to see if we have any recourse at this point, but I afraid we are stuck with this. It is my opinion that this company uses the tactics they do so that the consumer has no time for due diligence. You have to install the very next day. You have to make your decision the night they do the water testing. I should've listened to my gut instincts and told the sales rep to leave after the first hour.

The sales rep made a lot of sense, and was very enthusiastic and had a lot of confidence in the product. We got the water softener and the filtration system. The product isn’t inexpensive but it seems to me that it’s worth it. The water is clearer and the ice cubes are almost transparent. The glass doors and stuff on the shower have a lot less build up and the soap lather is better. It's pretty much what the salesperson described.

However, the controls for the RainSoft water softener unit are not customer-friendly. It started beeping saying there’s low salt, but then it has two-thirds of a container full of salt, which would lead me to believe that there’s plenty in there and it didn’t need to beep. Then when I tried to clear it, I use the screen, and I ended up changing not the grain level but the salt level. The literature that came with it didn’t help at all with the screen. The system said to call the local RainSoft people, which I did on Wednesday, and I’ve yet to hear back from them. So the operation of the machine seems rudimentary.

I believe in honest reviews because I use them often when determining whether or not to buy some of the more pricey things which I consider more of an investment rather than something cheap and throwaway. Let's face it, we like to know if the money we're putting out there is buying a product that lives up to its claims.

Well, like everyone here, the venture starts off with a sales pitch about the quality of the water you currently have. It surprised me when the salesman tested the water and found it to be of somewhat good quality, with middle of the road hardness. He was actually going to tell me I might not need my water treated, but I still wanted to hear more about the RainSoft EC4 System. He explained how the system worked, and it was different from units classified as water softeners. It has a small salt tank that you can load with 5 bags of salt, but the salt is only used by the conditioning system to clean the filters.

I reviewed the literature and I went online to research the product here where I found numerous recommendations. My interest grew with the positive reviews, so I went ahead and purchased the system even though my water was middle of the road hardness. No matter how good you think your tap water is, I can tell you it still has something to be desired for smell and taste in most cases. I was an avid bottled water drinker, and I can definitely tell the difference between my bottled water and tap water. Needless to say, I was going to some rather pricey bottled water every month so I figured over time this system's price can be offset some with the money I'd save from not buying bottled water.

They offer two packages in the Southern California market (and perhaps others) where you get the conditioning unit and a reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink for the lower of the two offers. The more higher priced options also included some kind of air filtration unit and a ozone producing unit that would attach to your washer rendering any need for laundry soap (which I'm not sure if I could actually feel clean without soap washing my clothes) so I opted for the lower end, more popular package. They were able to install it in my home the very next day.

It's only been a week now and my water has never been better. It feels slippery clean on the body in the shower, and the water produced either in the reverse osmosis 3 filter system under the kitchen sink or the taps where there is no additional filtering is completely free of smell and tastes. I also don't see the spotting of anything in my dishwasher or tap water residues I usually scrub out of the sinks every few days. The water is definitely spotless on the shower doors and there's even a new spigot put on in the front of the house that will allow you to use one spigot with the untreated water for watering your plants or yard with a hose, or you can attach the hose to the treated water spigot and wash your car with a spot-free finish.

Installation was professionally done and it took about 6 hours or so. Expect installation to take place in the garage in most circumstances or wherever your main water line enters the home. I happen to have a source of power nearby, or the installer will run a line to source the power from another location at no additional charge. A PVC pipe "waste/flush" line was run along the ceiling of my garage to a point where the pipe was installed through the drywall into the drain for the washer on the other side of the wall. Keep in mind this was what was needed for my installation since I didn't have any nearby drainage sources near the unit installation. 100% professional workmanship on the pipe soldering, etc.

Don't let me forget to add that they also throw in a 5 year membership with a company that will supply you cleaning materials for an estimated "5 years" based upon the sales pitch. I can't confirm or deny that it will work out that way since I have no way of knowing how much we can actually purchase using "points" given to use for that purpose. The products are mostly concentrates that you'll add water to in order to create the end product. They gave us some free samples of each item which includes laundry, dish washing, window cleaner, general purpose cleaners, and a bar of soap.

It didn't take much concentrate to mix the products so the concentrate should last a long time, but again I can't know if it will be 5 years since that depends on many factors. I think the point is, you will use LESS cleaning supplies since your water is conditioned. I think it's safe to say you'll cut your cleaning liquids in half (again my estimate). Just my experience, but with the cleaning liquids they offered me and since I don't need to buy more bottle water, I can nearly pay for the price of the system in about 6 years.

One final note for those who want all the details. With any water system there is a small amount of maintenance. The cost of the salt, which runs on average around $7 a 40 pound bag. Don't think that will be a large cost, but you also will need to change the membrane in the main unit in the garage about every 5 years at a estimated cost of $400 from what I was told. So, that comes to about $7 a month average. Also, don't forget you need to change the 2 filters and membrane in your under sink reverse osmosis system at least annually (or up to 18 months in some circumstances) for around $75 online. Keep in mind the prices I'm providing are estimates, but should be close.

I want you to have all the information you need to make an informed purchase if you feel interested in getting one of these systems. I feel you won't regret it. The water quality will be superior. I saw one review state that it was better than "bottled" water. I concur. This system lives up to its claims. Worth mentioning is RainSoft included a Lifetime Equipment Warranty and the dealer provides a 1 year Service Warranty. It's also possible for you to take this system with you if you should move, although it may require you to obtain the services of a plumber or RainSoft dealer to make it happen since it does require some plumbing knowledge. I believe they quoted me around $400 to $500 to make that move, but CHECK with the installer for realistic costs if you plan to move anytime after your purchase and you want to take it with you.

They asked if we were okay and if there's anything they can do or if we have questions. Now that I have their system, I've noticed a difference in my laundry because after every wash, we usually need to take out the filter and empty it because it's always filled up with fiber from the machine. Now, we do it every three or four washes. I'm extremely satisfied with RainSoft.

Then I heard about RainSoft from Home Depot. Setting up the consultation with RainSoft's sales rep went smooth. They asked me when I was available, and everything, including when the installation team came to my home, went professional.

The people who came for the initial sales were good and willing to work with us. However, I didn't know that they would come to my house and would try to make a sale that night. They were at my home until 9:00PM because we had a lot of questions, but I found it hard that they wanted me to send $5,000 right away. I was caught off guard with their sales pitch. I had a valid concern about my water, but I didn't want to go through that extreme of a measure right then and there. I wanted some time to think about it, but I was put in a position where I needed to make a decision now or the offer is not going to be there anymore. But other than that, I believe that they had a pretty good quality team. And, my water is now a lot softer and I'm more comfortable drinking water from my tap.

It was rescheduled for the next day which they told me would take an hour but ended up being three. But since installing the system, our water has been very crisp. I always drink iced tea at home and it's so much cleaner that I can even taste the difference when I go to other people's houses, like when my family goes to my sister's house and drinks iced tea there, it's so thick that I feel all of that stuff in my body going in. RainSoft really opened my eyes to know exactly what's out there.

But when I was considering doing the system, I felt like they pressured me. They told me that it was only a one-time opportunity and that I needed to it right then, so my husband and I went ahead because we thought it was something beneficial for us. When I finally researched, I went on a RainSoft blog and asked the consumers to see how much they were paying, I found out we were being overcharged. I asked the company why and they told me it's because I got all these new products. However, the only thing the other consumers didn't have that I had was the air vent cleaner, but I assumed we shouldn't be charged an extra $2,000 even for that. The product is good but I didn't like the way they handled the situation during the purchase.

We had an incident where we had to replace the flapper valve that controls the hot water heater after only about six months because it was already about one-third restricted with calcium deposits. We decided to have it checked up and the plumber that replaced it recommended RainSoft.

Their sales representative tried to work our schedule and then showed us some things about water and he explained to us about what soft water does and how it treats toilets, dishes, faucets, and surfaces. It was really different, especially when I took a shower with soft water. Then their plumbers came in and got the plumbing fixed up in about half a day or so. They didn't make a mess or anything, so they were good.

I got the water softener, the Clean Start for the washer and Ultrefiner for the drinking water from RainSoft. Ever since I got the system installed the water tastes a lot better and my rashes seem easier to maintain now. I also love the shampoo. The rep was really good with the water test and in explaining the whole system. The installation went really well. We got our little pack of everything and we're suppose to get more of the soap. He told us that my wife would be getting an email so she could select what flavors, so it's one time. We never got that and we never got anything in the mail about any more soap. I think I'm gonna call and ask somebody about that.

I'm a pretty handy guy and work on a lot of things. I normally do everything myself and never hire anybody to fix anything but the installer was great. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He knew what he was doing and I was impressed. We worked together and communicated well. We got everything done and everything went really good. I didn't realize the filters were so big. I had them put the Ultrefiner in my basement right underneath my kitchen sink. Other than that everything went fine and I don't have any complaints. I love it and I'm really glad we got it.

My wife has been trying to convince me to get treatment for our water since 1998 and then we've heard about RainSoft through our son. He got it and he kept telling us how great it was and what a difference it made in his life and his family. He called RainSoft and set us up an appointment with a rep. He was very informative. He showed us all the different things that were in the water. He's a good representative of the company. The installation team gave us a lot of information about how the whole house water system works and where they wanted to put it and where we wanted it. Then, we worked out exactly where it should be. We didn't dredge the entrance to the attic, but that's okay. We're satisfied with it.

The system made our water better. We like the reverse osmosis for our drinking and cooking water. The water's taste is different. Our drinkable water was good to begin with, but it had a few things in it and the treatment system made it better. Also, the water leaves a different feel to the body after getting out of the shower, and our clothes now come out softer and brighter after washing them. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had hard water so I looked into water treatments. RainSoft's sales rep did a pretty good job although he left out a couple of things. He admitted that after I asked him later on, but it's fine. I got their water treatment system. The first guy who came for the installation was very nice, but he did not have a water gauge. Otherwise, he needed a blocking cap to stop the water once he did the thing. He had to drive back to Home Depot to do it which took more time. He never did get a water gauge, so when he left we didn't have enough water pressure to run both our toilets, except the pounding on the pipes that pumped the water up there. I called and another technician was sent out who corrected the problem.

With the water treatment system, the water tastes better so we put in the drinking water filter as well. But the faucet that was put in for the drinking water came loose the other day. Another technician is going to be here this afternoon to fix it. I'm hoping that's under warranty or else I will be doing that. It's been a good experience so far, but I would recommend that all technicians have a pressure gauge when they come out to the house.

And every time I made a call, I'm answered immediately. I talk to a live person and I certainly appreciate that. I had a whole house system prior to this installation with RainSoft. And I have noticed improvement in the pressure that comes from under the sink attachment. The water that I had with the other system tasted very good, but it was very expensive.

We live in an area where the water is terrible. Even the water that comes out of the water treatment facilities has some problems. It's high in chlorine. So, we were looking for a water treatment system. RainSoft's rep, Robin, came out and did a presentation. He was very personable and a good salesman. He did his job really well. It was very easy to convince me because I knew our water wasn't good. He still showed it through his little test kit. Also, we had a very antiquated system that was not providing us with the level of water quality that we wanted. He hit us at the right time, so we purchased their reverse osmosis system for drinking water, the full soft water system, and the ozone unit for the washing machine that allows us to treat or wash the clothes with cold water and with a little soap. They said we'll use the detergent for the scent and it works fine. We got the whole nine yards from them.

Rainsoft's product is good and their people were professional. They presented their information and gave some facts. I also knew that the price is high, but we decided to do it. It wasn't a hard sell at all. We signed the contract two hours after their presentation. A gentleman came to install and he's physically a good sized man. He said he could put the system in but he can't fit underneath the very narrow subfloor of our house. His boss came with him the next day and he installed the system. They were polite, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

After having our system installed, our water is completely different. It tastes good. They claim that it's as good or better than most bottled water and I agree. We used to have big cases of bottled water everywhere but now we're using it straight out of the reverse osmosis and it taste great. The showers are much different because of the soft water. We feel much more comfortable after a shower. We don't feel that dried out feeling of hard water. Our clothes are cleaned with cold water and we don't heat the water for the washer at all. We're happy with it. The price was high, and we're going to make payments for years, but the water in our house is good. We really thought about it and as we go through life, we have at least one thing picked off that's healthy for us. It was a very good experience overall.

The water where I live is very hard. I had just recently moved from an area with much softer water and was looking for a way to remedy that. I asked for a consult at Home Depot and RainSoft called me after that and set up a time, and then their agent came out and talked to me. He worked well within my schedule, was very knowledgeable, took time to answer questions that we as well as my children had. It took a little longer than we expected because of the random questions, but it was a lot of fun. We purchased the water softener and reverse osmosis system for drinking water

The installers from RainSoft came out one day, put it all in and did a great job with it. The guy in charge talked me through everything easily, like some of the differences between using rock salts and pellet salts and the different places to get. There’s a part where the water line goes down to this deep sewer line and they have to have that part inspected before they can bury it again and a couple of days later once the job was inspected and approved, they came and filled it up. They did their job cleanly and explained everything nicely. The whole process was very smooth and I can’t expect any more than that.

My children do not like any other water now, which can be a problem when we’re at the park and they have to use the drinking fountain, but that’s fine. We use less soap and have soft skin. The soap and products that come with the system are pretty good. I called RainSoft and they said, “Test out the products, find out which ones you like. The ones you don’t like, we can trade for the ones you like.” So it's a good deal and I’ll be calling them soon.

Their installation team was very nice, gave us suggestions and left the area clean. The water now is a lot better, the laundry is a lot crisper and we’re breathing better. The water washes dishes and clothes better as opposed to before when we wash our clothes longer. Now, we wash less loads in our washer and dishwasher so we’re saving money.

My mom thought I was using bottled water and I told her I'm using water from my sink. Our pets have been drinking their water better and we can’t keep their water bowl full enough. The taste of the water has gotten so good that when I tried to drink juice from the store, it tasted so bad to me that I wanted to drink the water instead of that. Also, we don’t have to use that much shampoo and soap with this water. I could save on water too. In fact, our water bill right now is only $20 a month. We love it. If you don't want to take the time to read this review, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY RAINSOFT FRANCHISE. -5 Stars. First off, let's start with the back story. My wife and I just moved into the area. We received a "free $20 Amazon gift card" voucher in the mail. Knowing it was going to be a sales pitch, I willingly called expecting to turn whomever away and try and come on top. It turns out you have to invite the individual into your home to receive your "incentive." I think, well why not I don't know anyone in the area and have not much else to do during the week.

To the actual details and visit... The salesman showed up on time. He was professional and smooth as one would expect a door to door salesman. I told them over the phone it would be only myself home for the presentation, but he insisted that that was wrong and we have to wait for 2 people to be present in the household. There we were for 45 min waiting on my wife to get home from work wasting my time chatting because he can't start without 2 or more people. My wife gets home and we start listening on how bad our water is as it is city water and not softened or filtered. He has a case full of, now what I would reflect on as, "rigged MAGIC tricks". Anyways, the product works better than nothing. I will give them that.

However, they you a sales pitch that it will pay for itself almost immediately. Being a young couple we decided to fall into the "now or lose this great offer" deal including free cleaning supplies, no installation fee, and no down payment, thinking it would actually save us money because of the ability to move it from place to place and having a lifetime warranty. After we signed, what I found online is that each "free warranty" call has an~$100 service charge on it. On top of that, you can find about the same system at any hardware store for about less than a sixth of the price they wanted (they asked over $9000 for the full system and ~$6000 for just the water (which the water logically should cover 2 of the 3 systems)). IMPORTANT NOTE: They can ALWAYS managed to install the next day to seal you in. If you make it later you have to to back out before installation with no problem!

The aftermath: We called them back to cancel because we had to talk it over and go through our finances. We cannot afford this product. The man we talked to to cancel our installation and contract was extremely nice and experienced, probably used to cancellations. After we had cancelled, MY WIFE (whose information wasn't even on the contract details) was contacted by the salesman. Now, I wasn't on the around for this exchange, but from what I understood was that he was extremely rude to her and said that "we just bought a house so we can afford this." EXCUSE ME!!! How do you know what my financial situation is and who are you to tell me what it is?!

Who are you to talk to my wife that way to make her that upset (even being as laid back as she is)?! After experiencing this sales experience I would rather spend 5x what they were quoting in order keep my service from them. BTW we didn't "qualify" for the $20 Amazon gift card and never received it. So take from this review as you will but I hope it urges you to cancel your contract or send your product back immediately (if you still can). DO NOT DO IT! Let's take it upon us to end the companies that try and take advantage and simply use their customer.

A guy from RainSoft called and asked if he could come by and talk to us about their treatment systems and we decided to let him. He was very nice, very knowledgeable, and didn't make a mess. He showed us the condition of our water and answered all the questions we had at the time. Then we decided we didn't want what we saw in our water so we bought the product. Since having the system installed, our water tastes better and we now drink from the faucet. I also got a complimentary little satchel that had products in there.

The installation team was superb. They explained the system after installing, but it was an awful lot to be concerned with which is why I messed up when I did. So when it started beeping one day, and I was getting ready to go somewhere, I tried to hit all the right buttons in a panic, but I must have hit the wrong ones. When we got back at about 9 o'clock, it was still going and had used up 18 inches of salt, so we had to call them back. They came out a couple of days later, made some type of adjustment on the softener itself and fixed it. Other than that, their employees have been fantastic and I'm pleased with my experience with them.

Setting a schedule with the sales rep was pretty painless. He did some tests and he was knowledgeable and informative. The installation team, on the other hand, didn't really clean up after themselves, I had to do a lot of cleaning myself. Also, I don’t know how well the air purification actually works. The air’s still kind of thick so I don’t know if it really did what it was supposed to do. But, we've been happy with the water system.

The sales rep answered every question that we had, and the demonstration was pretty good. We got the whole home system in the basement and the under-the-sink water system. I was not home during the installation, but my wife was and when I got home, she walked me through everything since they showed her how to work it. Everything was also cleaned up. Since having the system installed, everybody drinks a lot more water, and it feels cleaner when we get out of the shower. We’re going through less soap too.

I knew my water wasn't the best quality and it was very hard to begin with. So, I wanted to see what the results of a test was and sure enough, it was very hard. We had chlorine in the water as well, above three parts per million, which is higher than what you have in your swimming pool. And that tells me that there were bacteria in the water, so they had to treat it to make it drinkable.

Setting up the consultation with RainSoft was very easy and I enjoyed the conversation very much. The sales rep was very knowledgeable. I ordered the air cleaner as well as the reverse osmosis under the sink, and we had a good time putting it in. The installers were very pleasant to talk to and everything worked out to my satisfaction. The difference is amazing now. I would recommend RainSoft to anyone. It was a very enjoyable experience dealing with the people, finding out about the quality of my water and taking steps to resolve the problems that we had. It's the best move I've made as far as the house in quite some time.

I tested the water before for how many particulates were in it and it's gone up for some reason. I figured it would go down but the soluble materials in the water went up, but we've lost the smell in the water and it is cleaner. All in all, we had a very pleasant and good experience and we're happy with the system.

RainSoft's sales rep was really informative, friendly, professional and easy going. He did the test which I know was scientific. Sometimes I didn't get it but he would work around and see if I could figure it out another way. I also had quite a few questions and he answered every one of those. I got the water purifying, air purifying, the laundry, and an accelerated purifier that is put in the kitchen. During the installation, the only one that got me a bit upset was the guy that set up the appointment at 3:00 but didn't get here until 5:15 as he got caught in traffic. That was no big deal. It was just that I didn’t know what was happening with him. The guy that brought the water filter stuff was really nice though and he explained it all to me. He put it where I was hoping he would be able to because I didn't want it in my garage which is not big enough. I have a boat and a car so that would've been a problem.

Since installation, I don't have any issues that I've had before. The toilet ring used to be moldy black. I would always get that crap out when I flushed it and back then I cleaned it every other day with a brush, but it has not reoccurred one single time. They also installed a little home filter under the sink and the water tastes wonderful. I'm happy I did it and I also like the soap products they included in the package. Lastly, it shocked me that they gave me a zero-interest loan and a long time to pay it out. I had a budget because I’m retired but RainSoft met my terms on financing, so how can I lose?

RainSoft was giving away a free water test when we were at Home Depot. So we went for it since we just bought a house and didn't know what was in our water. It was very easy to set up an appointment for a consultation with the sales rep. They were very flexible with the days and times that work. They even wanted to come that day at 8:00 PM. The sales rep came to our home with his kit. He was very kind and easy to talk to, so we felt comfortable talking to him. We were able to have kind of a magic show where we were looking at the water and how these little drops changed. Seeing what was actually in our water was very interesting. We got the water filter system.

The Rainsoft installation team came the next day. I wasn't able to be there, so my husband opened the door for them, and then they took care of our business and left. Everything was set up and it was fine when I came home. Now that we've had the system installed, our water makes our skin and hair very soft and we feel cleaner with it. The system we purchased came with free soap -- dish washing, laundry, hand soap, body soap, shampoo -- for five years, so that was nice. The whole process was very fast. We ordered the system on Sunday and it got installed on Monday, so there was no waiting, and that was very nice and convenient. Overall, our experience with RainSoft was informative, quick, and worth it.

The salesperson from Rainsoft said that their system has some kind of natural cleaning products that works really well with soft water as well as the benefits to appliances and plumbing which got us interested to learn more so we set up a time to have them come over and do a demo. I grew up with water softener in our home so I'm familiar with the idea of it and I noticed the differences between hard and soft water, especially as cleaning products go in terms of their effectiveness and efficiency. Between that and learning more about some of the offers that were tied to the RainSoft products themselves, we felt it was something that was a good investment for our personal health and home, overall.

The installation people were very polite and excellent. They made their assessment in terms of what was needed and made sure everything got put together properly the first time around. They walked us through the basics of the system - how to use it, what to look for, common things that may happen but not to be worried about, and contact information in terms of who to call if we needed some help or wanted to discuss any issues. Since installingithe system, there is a difference in the texture of the water. It was mentioned back in the consultation that it would feel slippery as the result of having soft water, and it’s definitely true. We also had the reverse osmosis system put in off of our kitchen sink and our water never tasted bad before, but it’s "cleaner" where if one could ever taste "clean" water, I felt like I could taste that with the reverse osmosis system.

Back when I was 20 years old, I first experienced soft water and I've always wanted it since then. Everything went great with RainSoft - from sales to installation. However, I thought that I wasn’t getting the soft water that I experienced 28 years ago. The technician was nice enough to come back and check the computer and the filter. What he found was that our water heater's full of sediment. When water goes through it and comes back out, we’re still getting the hard water issue. And of course, our electric bill’s crazy too so the water heater needed to be replaced. I purchased their softening system which comes with a free water filter.

The guy that came in hauled all the stuff down some basement steps and installed all that salt for the system by himself. He was like a superman because he’s doing real good for his age. It took him about an hour to get it done. He sat down, talked to us and ran us through what we would be getting as far as the soap, etc, to allow the hot water heater to drain about four times before it becomes 100% and what to expect before and afterwards. This is how much salt that we’ll use in a certain amount of time that we use it and that was Einstein stuff to me. It was a very informing and educational experience. I’ll have him come back down in about three months and I’ll pay him to check it out and make salt. I’m going to have them maintain it. Since the installation, I take a shower about three times. I just get in there and enjoy it. I love the water!

RainSoft Water Treatment - Florida Energy Water & Air. Initially we were called by someone from Home Depot regarding letting a salesman from RainSoft Water treatment system come into our home to discuss it, and for our time we would be given a Home Depot gift certificate. We always shop at Home Depot and since we feel it was such a reliable company, we thought no problem and scheduled a date we would be available.

3/24/16: In our home came this wonderful salesman who did a marvelous presentation, Brian **, who sold us a unit for $4,595 in conjunction with a Home Depot credit card arrangement with a no tax purchase and a 1 yr interest free application. He stressed that the system is no problem as everything is done automatic which was a major issue, as neither of us are mechanically/computer literate. Immediately on the same day within the hour, Jesus, from the company came to installed the unit.

3/25/16: We were told that a Mr. Keith ** would come out to inspect the unit. While he was here he started to instruct us about having to use the computer, I flipped! No mention about the computer needing to be reset by Brian. We are not capable of using any computer to operate your RainSoft equipment. We immediately told him that we were told by Brian ** we would have nothing to do, it is all automatic. Now being told differently, we told Mr. ** to have the unit removed, as no way was this ever discussed or agreed upon! "Get it out!"

While there Mr. ** called someone in the office and he wanted to speak with Mr. **. It was Josh who told Mr ** he would remove the computer head and replace it with another head. Mr ** stated that the system was made by design as a unit. "Not acceptable. Remove the unit!" Being somewhat concerned, we did some research only to find out about the 82 complaints with the BBB about their company. When I asked about it, it was stated that all complaints were satisfied. Told him I still wanted the unit removed!

3/29/16: The next day we drove to Home Depot to cancel the Home Depot credit card application; we met the wonderful store manager, Jessica **. Discussed our concerns; she helped us cancel the credit card application and she also stated that they are used by the store for this and others energy products but she knew of no problems with the company, and that Home Depot does stand behind a company.

3/30/16: I left a message for Brian. Days went by and nothing was happening, so Mrs. ** called several times to get the unit removed. Still nothing was done and no calls. I can't remember the exact date but I received a call from a man stating that his name was Bruce, a Supervisor with Florida Energy for RainSoft and would like a meeting at my home. He came one morning and was extremely friendly and warm. He stated that it would cost more to the company to remove the unit, but if we kept it he could reduce the price to $1,900 rather than the $4,595 and this would benefit both of us. He pleaded and we caved in by knowing that Home Depot would stand behind the company. We accepted the new contract with one condition - that they come out to adjust and service. He left us his card and cell phone number.

4/28/16: Bruce came back to our home with another application to be filled out; he called from our home to process the Home Depot credit card application for $1,900. He filled out another contract and I signed it. He then again sent over Keith ** for another inspection and another signing. Both of us said that the problem was not the workers who came to our home, it was that we did not get what we were told about the unit.

The really huge major problem was when I kept noticing discussing blackness in our three commodes, I would clean and clean and clean on my hands and knees down all the way to get it out. This was such a disgrace to have something like this in our home with guests coming and going. I called Bruce and he told me "Oh, that sometimes happens due to no choline in the water"; "WHAT! This was never discussed with us that this would or might happen. Get this unit out now; I do not want this unit in my home. How in the world will we ever get to sell our home with this problem." He said he would reach someone and I would be called. I waited and waited; then I called him again - "Oh, no one called you yet. Let me get ahold of him now." Twice he gave me this message.

Again I waited and waited. In fact my last call came from my hospital bedside. I left a message that it had better be removed by the time I am out of the hospital or I will take these horrid pictures and discuss the pictures and problem again at Home Depot. I was released Fri 5/27/16 and the unit was still attached to our home when I returned home. I called and spoke to a Mr. **. He was rude and told me "it will NOT be removed period." Sunday we drove to Home Depot to meet with Ms **. She was not in on Sunday, and Monday was Memorial Day.

Tuesday morning 5/30/16 we returned to Home Depot to again see their Store Manager Jessica **. She was more than helpful in wanting to assist us. She took the time to look through all our paperwork and discussed things with us. She then called and spoke with Jason and got nowhere; I then spoke with him. He was rude and just said he stated he would not remove it. I repeated it over that it was not what we agreed to purchase. We were lied to and then brow beaten into doing both of us a favor by keeping it for the cost. But when these terrible black stains kept reappearing daily... no more. Get it out of our home. It is only hoped that this albatross is removed from our life as soon as possible.

RainSoft contacted us and sent a technician to our home. Dave checked out the system, tested our water, and made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed. We are now extremely happy with RainSoft.

    Original Review: May 29, 2016

We were stopped at Home Depot for a survey about our water and received a call from RainSoft a day later offering to test the quality of our water supply. The representative that showed up took almost two hours and kept focusing on how soft our hands should feel when we washed them in the sample of softened water. We ended up purchasing the system anyways because of all the benefits of soft water- less detergent, less mineral stains, alkaline water... and he insisted we contact him three weeks later to test the water with the system installed.

After two weeks, we were curious as to why the salt level hadn't moved (since the installer mentioned we'd have to refill every three months) and contacted RainSoft. My husband was told to contact the local dealer because they could not help us. The local dealer said they could try telling us how to check the computer system over the phone and that they would call back to do so the following day. They never did. We called back asking for a technician to come out and were told they would call back. They never did. I contacted our salesman, Edwin, to tell him we weren't contacted but he just kept asking if we "felt the softness of our hands with the new water?" At this point my husband asked him to please answer our questions, but he said he couldn't, that he would find out and call us back. He never did.

For a system that cost over $6000, I expected better customer service. I gave up and won't recommend this to anyone. Now my questions are, why am I thirstier than ever, why are my pets drinking three times as much water, and does this mean the salt is entering the drinking water system? I guess I have to just get my blood pressure checked daily because I won't get an answer from RainSoft.

We were renting a home in the town where we lived and the landlady lived out of town, so we worked as the local liaison between her and any problems of the house. The well pump broke and we were without water so we called Rainsoft and they came out and installed a new well pump. Later on, when we were having problems with a sulfur bacteria in the aerator of the well system, which caused an unpleasant sulfur odor with the water within the house, we called Rainsoft to come out again and give us a consultation about how to resolve the problem because we were impressed with their service with the well pump repair.

They provided an estimate for a peroxide system that would have gotten rid of the aerator which is where the sulfur bacteria was building. The landlady agreed and Rainsoft installed the K-System which is a $3,600 system that made the sulfur bacteria problem go away. We were again very impressed with their installation of the equipment. The lead or field installer is also a member of the family that owns the business. He was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant to deal with and wasn't a salesman that comes out on the first time call. He was there for a particular problem to fix and after dealing with him and getting to know him a bit, I was perfectly comfortable and confident with him.

In December of 2015, my wife and I purchased a home so we left the home where we had been living where we first met Rick and Rainsoft. In our new home, which is also on a well, we experienced the same sulfur bacteria problem which is endemic to this part of Southwest Florida. So we ended up having Rick and Rainsoft install a $3,600 35K peroxide sulfuring system with great results. He was here himself leading the crew and managing the installation. Everything went wonderfully. If there will be future issues, I might get a quote from a second company just because that's the way I am as well as most people are if there is anything significant or great expense to consider. But I can't say enough about Rick ** and Rainsoft in my area.

I contacted RainSoft of Denver late afternoon 1 month ago and Peter called me back 2 hours later after business hours to answer all my questions about their water softener. While anticipating his call I did online research myself, concluding that I wanted a Filtration System that doesn't use salt. RainSoft sells both, however my concerns that the salt could eventually damage our septic system and leach field were resolved. He sent me documented evidence on use with leach fields. Their water softener uses 1/3 the amount of salt than other units use. Also they have a wifi wireless app to more accurately monitor the amount of salt that is used, instead of an automatic timer that releases the salt. I really put RainSoft to the test with documentation to prove accuracy to all their claims. Peter supplied everything that I needed to make an intelligent decision.

I have been EXTREMELY SATISFIED with every aspect of this company. They use technicians that are employed with their company. These technicians came to my house to install the water softener and reverse osmosis water filter (which I added to my order after lengthy discussions with Peter, Denver Dealer/Owner), at their scheduled time and were highly educated in the products. You too, will be able to trust this company, with their high-end products. You'll be impressed with the warranty!

I purchased the water softener from them and the installers explained the system and left the work area clean. Both the sellers and installers were very professional. Since having RainSoft, the coffee in the morning tastes better.

The water out here is pretty hard, so we got RainSoft's water treatment system. The sales representative who came out for our consultation seemed to be knowledgeable and lovely. I was happy with the experience with RainSoft. We've got better water since having our system installed.

I live out in the country and I have a well and also have city water. But, they're both very hard water. I wanted to have it analyzed and RainSoft came out and did that for us. The sales representative was well-informed and he did a good job. The fellow that did the installation came out that very same day and had all of my products that were promised. He did a very neat installation. He placed the equipment where I wished and I’ve been very happy with it. Since then, the shower water feels a lot smoother whenever I lather up, and the water makes a great cup of coffee. The equipment is just fine, but I had a little hiccup with my friend. I live in Florida and my friend who also bought a system from them was in Georgia. And the product that was promised was not delivered for two months and there was a little confusion with that. It took a few phone calls, but it’s all straightened out now.

We were stopped in Home Depot to do a survey and scheduled a consultation because we live in Edmond and the water sucks.. We enjoyed our time with the RainSoft sales representative who was very informative. The installation team had a few problems taking care of running the lines for the system and had to come back because they couldn’t complete it all in one day. They came back, finished it, and cleaned up well. And we haven’t had any leaks for long now. Since having it installed, the water tastes better. We also don’t use as much chemicals as we did in the past. Everything seems to be working better. There’s none of the alkaline corrosion to be cleaned off the faucets.

I needed a water softener from RainSoft because my water out here was very hard. There was a good inch of lime in the little test tube when Jeremiah who was from RainSoft tested it. I knew it was hard because all my sinks would be having white spots all over everything. I had to wash everything down if the water stays on it. Also, this house is just six years old and my hot water heater has already started that bubbly sound that it’s still doing it. I can’t get to flushing the sediment myself without taking the outside board off because it’s screwed on. In my old house, I used to flush it out with the hose, but I was afraid that it would cause all of my plumbing and everything to back up, and I can’t afford that. A water softener makes things look better when I wash my clothes. If water is hard, a lot of times my clothes don’t come out like I want them to.

I was a little surprised with RainSoft's price, but in time it’ll pay for itself. Jeremiah was very thorough when he explained everything to me, and the two guys that came out here to install it worked in the rain. I told them, “It’s raining, I don’t think you’ll be able to do it today.” And they said, “That’s what we’re out here for.” And they worked with the rain pouring off the side of my house. One of them had to hold the board that goes on top of the little box that I cover it with. They were very responsible and did their job. They didn’t have time to show me all the things out there, which is why I called and had someone else come out and go over it with me. He tested the system and it was working really good. Everything is fine. I’ve even heard the system cleaning one time from my bathroom window.

We had some concerns about our water. It had been a while since we had anybody talk to us so we decided to have somebody from RainSoft come out and talk about it. The consultation with the sales rep and training person went very positive. They also had a very nice and knowledgeable installer. Everything went smoothly. Since installing the system, things are soft and smooth in the shower now. For instance, my wife told me there's still a garlicky smell in her ice cubes. The water that goes into the ice maker comes through the standard water supply, not through the reverse osmosis machine.

Wow, when AJ first came by I was skeptical. But the wife and I listened and ask questions and took a look at the different types of water quality. We were sold! It has now been about a month and a half and we just love it. First off, no more crappy water (I'm not going to count on elected officials to tell us when the water is bad), it tastes amazing! Then, using soft water for bathing has cut down on the amount of product we use and is so soft! And food and drink now tastes so much better. Also, we are no longer damaging our household products. AJ was great and the support has been great. We just love our soft water, and our dog's hair is sooo soft. Even the in-laws were asking me about how soft his coat is (their dog and our dog eat the same kind of dog food).
