I got a call saying RainSoft wanted to come over and it was free. The rep came over, tested the water in the house, and demonstrated what's in the water. The first time the guy came over, he turned away because it was just me and my girlfriend was at work at that time. He wanted both of us there in our apartment. We bought the water softener and it was like a reverse osmosis thing. There were two people who came during installation, the installer and the manager, and they didn’t take long. We've had the system for a few months now and the taste of the water is different. The pressure of the water is a bit less in the upper bathroom but still not bad. My girlfriend has sensitive skin, so it's more beneficial for her.

We lived in the settlements before in our last house and there were a lot of build-ups really quick. Then we bought this brand-new built house and I wanted to save the new plumbing in there. I had my coffee pot cleaned and in less than a week, it was picked up with stuff all along the inside. So, I knew something was getting our stuff dirty. I heard about Rainsoft from the internet or TV and we were looking to get a water treatment system, and they showed up at our door. The sales rep knocked on our door, and my wife answered. I didn’t have to call anybody, so it was easy. The representative came to set up, and then he told us the time that he can come back and I said, "Sure." He then came back and did his whole presentation. He was great and didn't seem pushy at all. My four-year-old loved his presentation more than we did and we were really sold because we knew we wanted one. He knew what he was doing and didn't feel like a salesman.

We purchased the whole house and the reverse osmosis filters underneath the sink. The installation was good, and I like where they put the system. I had some questions but they called me and discussed where everything was going. The whole of my granite countertop was drilled perfectly, and they didn't break anything. They did a better job cleaning up the filter out and they had a trench and had to remove the bark to do that, and they put the bark back getting it there. They also did a better job than the builders and did a good job cleaning up. Now, there’s no build up anywhere on the coffee pot and it’s easier to wash a car.

I was curious about the water in my neighborhood so I asked some people about it and they said they liked theirs. I came over and was given a lesson on RainSoft. I liked it so I bought it. I called RainSoft and they came on time and I was happy with them. The sales rep was very nice, courteous and knowledgeable. Two guys came for the installation and they were very personable and I enjoyed interacting with them. The system I purchased came with bath soap, hand soap, dish soap and laundry soap. Everything is good and I noticed that there aren’t a lot of hard water stains anymore, and the water tastes better. They also sent me an email about getting a $25 gift certificate at a restaurant, but I don’t know how. I'm 67 years old and not computer literate, so I recommend that they just send it as a gift card or certificate.

We purchased a RainSoft water filtration and we love it. HOWEVER STAY AWAY FROM THEIR LENDER Synchrony Bank. Their fixed interest rate jumps from $14 after one month to $54.58 so a monthly payment of $82 less than $30 goes to your loan. The guys that installed it were super with no issues. Anytime we thought we had a problem RainSoft sent someone out to check it out within a day.

We initially inquired at Home Depot about water treatment systems and they called us and told us that they were going to do water testing in our house. Rainsoft's sales rep was very informative, and the consultation was very pleasant and it worked out great. We purchased the RainSoft water softener and the air purifier. The installation was excellent, and since having the system, we don't have a lot of residues left on our skin.

RainSoft's rep was really good, very efficient, and knowledgeable. It was a very pleasant experience. We got the one for the whole house and the one for under the sink. Since having RainSoft, my pots and pans don't have white spots anymore. My hair is softer and my clothes are better. I also love RainSoft's cleaning products. That was a bonus for us. And anytime there is a problem, they call me back and I get a person when I call, which is really important. I don’t get that computer anymore. However, they accidentally busted one of my sprinklers, but I've had my landscaper fix it for $15. Also, I think I need to change my under-the-sink filter. They said we were going to get a postcard in the mail to remind us, but I never received it. I've forgotten how long before I had to change it.

When I was a kid, we had a RainSoft water softener system. I went to Home Depot, got a water test kit and then they called me and asked if they could send someone out. We had a really good interaction. The rep was friendly, informative, and worked well with our five kids, so we had a good experience. We purchased a whole home system and the installers were at my home for almost a full day doing the install. They did a good job, but they were a little scared to get underneath the house, so I crawled to run some of the water line for them. RainSoft has a good product as well as a good educational material. We experienced all of the benefits that the guy said. We enjoy the water and our clothes get cleaner.

I’m getting ready to put up a new house and my water has a lot of calcium. I was in Home Depot and they had some information about RainSoft. The sales rep was wonderful. He did the water test and we setup the appointment for the installation. The man who originally was supposed to come out had a family emergency so the guys who own and run the franchise came out and put the system in themselves. They were wonderful to work with and got most of the work done on that Saturday. They couldn’t hook it in to the septic system so they came back on Monday and dug the trench. After the system was installed, there were less scum and sediment on anything I use. I have to keep turning down my water heater because the water warms up much quicker. RainSoft is great and gets the job done. They also were really good about explaining everything.

I went to Home Depot and they offered to test our water. After we sent the samples for testing, we received a call from RainSoft asking us to book an appointment for someone to come over to our house, explain the product, and review our options to improve the quality of our water. They explained how the water texture would change if we were to install the filter and the bathtub that uses this water will require less cleaning, which was informative. We bought the water filtration and air UV system and an installer came over to install them. They explained how the system worked, which was helpful. The taste of the water is definitely much better, but there’s still build-up from my bathtub and I’m doubting if the cleaning part was 100% what I was told.

When we were new to the house, I heard from some of the neighbors that there was hard water. Then the first time I boiled water in the pot, there was this white, red and brown around the pot. Seeing that convinced me that I wanted a water softener so I started searching for someone who could provide a water softener for us. A sales guy from RainSoft came around the house and we were pretty impressed with him. I'm an engineer and he explained all we needed to know about the system very well. He explained the technology and the benefits to us, plus, he wasn't pushy. He did a water test in the house for us and let us think about it then told us about the process, and I liked that a lot, too. Then one of their teams came out and they were professional, got the system installed fairly quickly, and explained to me how everything worked. RainSoft's water conditioning system is a good product and it works. I'm happy with the results.

I have known RainSoft for a long time. We have purchased 3 water filters, a unit they put in the basement, and then something under the sink. However, the basement water system had been getting a lot of problems. Every year, I got less and less water pressure. It then completely stopped at the end of the year. I thought the pipe might be broken, or it might be a shallow water issue. I put bypass water which made everything okay for a while, and then I found out our unit is not working. So I called RainSoft and they told us a technician will come to my home.

The unit has been replaced and so far, the new system is good. Although I have a lifetime warranty, they said it only covers the bottom unit and not everything. They also told me I can replace the bottom unit but it will only work temporarily. But it doesn't make sense because you will have water problems and you will have to spend money again. So I spent $2200 on a new unit. I don’t have any option. Right before, we buy water from outside and much money was saved.

But it's hard to pull out the filter every year and pay $33 each before it changed to $70 plus tax, and the cost gets higher every year. While some people said we don't need it for the whole house, that we only need RainSoft for drinking water. But we've already spent so much money and we get to have clean and no smell water, nothing skin soft though. For us, that's what's good.

I couldn't have been happier when we had our system installed. Rainsoft had not only given us clean water, they also supplied us with a years worth of laundry products, kitchen and bathroom soaps, along with dish soap. They also promised free salt, bleach and servicing for the first three years because we paid almost 9k cash.

However, within the first year they started to renegotiate on the salt & bleach deal. Understandable, however at the first sign of trouble with the system, within the first 18 months, they wanted to charge us for servicing. With contract in hand we argued our case between the service men (@ our home) & the manager via phone. Our system was serviced that time. Because of them trying to renegotiate the terms of the contract from the beginning we opted to just purchase the salt & bleach ourselves and avoid the headache of calling them on it.

NOW the nightmare really begins, within 6 months we were having trouble with the system again! This time when we call we are informed by Rainsoft Corporation that the dealer whom we purchased our system from has gone bankrupt! Rainsoft then give me the numbers to the next two closest dealers, both who ate over 100 miles away & want hundreds of dollars to come & repair our system. That was out of our reach financially at the time. Since then we've had to replace every appliance in our home. The Rainsoft Corporation has cost is almost 20k between the price of the shoddy system, & the cost to repair or replace everything in our home that uses water! SHAMEFUL! DO NOT TRUST RAINSOFT!?? They took our Money & left us out in the cold!??

It had been an excellent experience and we’ve recommended it. Our water used to taste terrible so we began researching for water treatment. The RainSoft presentation was wonderful. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable and he taught us a lot. They knew what they were doing and everything went smooth. Plus, they were very patient because there was also a plumber in the basement trying to put in a water heater that went up to date before. The install was great and I'm happy with a lot of things. There was even a guy who came out afterward with the soap products and I'm happy with the fact there is soap scum that has really been reduced in the bathtubs and everything seems to rinse cleaner.

I was shopping in Home Depot and someone asked if I would like to listen to someone or have my water tested. Then a sales rep from Rainsoft called and asked if he could come by to test our water for free. I agreed then he came by. He was all completely professional and told me what he would do. He tested the water and talked to me about Rainsoft. I enjoyed his stay and showing the water test was a big sales point. Then he talked to me about how I should pay for the system, which was either in full or over a period of a couple of years with no interest or make payments anyway I wanted to do it. So he was very forthcoming in demonstrating the process to me.

I purchased the water purification system for my entire home plus the reverse osmosis system for a part of my water system. Their installation team made an appointment to come by and when they came, it didn't take them long to install the system as I thought it would. They were very professional and told me exactly what they were doing. I showed them the parts of my home they needed to see in order to do it and it went well and very smoothly. Since having the system, the water tastes different and better. My skin also feels different after showering or washing and when I wash my dishes. I like the differences I see and I don’t have the chlorine odor that I used to have from the city water. Everything worked like I was told it would and I would do it again. If I take the water that I'm drinking now, it's very superior to what it was before.

The RainSoft sales rep was very knowledgeable and she did a number of tests to demonstrate the need for some water treatment. But she came on a little bit strong. We agreed to make the purchase, but then they did the follow-up and the installation the next day. And they have three days to determine to like back out of the agreement. Most companies of our state have some kind of a time to either work with you or just cancel the deal and get out with no obligation. If we happened to decide that it wasn't for us, we would have then committed to some kind of fee for them coming out to install the equipment. And that part of it was not quite as professional as the rest of the presentations and it was the only negative aspect of the whole experience.

They came on with some benefits if we'd make the commitment that evening, and I felt rushed. Everything could have been fine without having to come on a little bit strong because the product would sell itself. We had done some comparison with some other equipment that had also had a lifetime warranty on it, and they were a few hundred dollars higher. But I understand people sell and how to get a sale and overall, I really didn't have a regret that we bought the system from them.

RainSoft's product was pretty good, and the installation team did a nice job. My wife had some dry skin especially on her legs that she has routinely put some lotions to help the dryness. And she thought that she had seen quick results of her skin on her legs feeling better. But I really wasn't surprised because I had been exposed to soft water before and I felt that there was going to be some positive results out of it. Also, my wife works and I'm retired so I'm kind of the house husband that does the laundry and assigned to clean up around the house. So, I know and I see the positive effects. We're not having the mineral build up around the faucets and the shower. Also, we needed less detergent and the clothes feel softer. I would recommend RainSoft to a friend.

RainSoft made a great presentation and the salesperson was 80% knowledgeable. What item she wasn’t sure about, she didn’t have a clue how to respond with the questions and didn't offer to find out about the item. The installation team, particularly Adam, was great. Plus, the electrician and the plumber who were sent out were dynamite guys. The water seems softer and as presented, it doesn’t leave spots on dishes and glasses. There are no rings in sinks, tubs or toilets. The product is great, but the people involved behind it are terrible. Carolina Water Systems and Aqua Finance created a debacle and I sent them a cashier's check to pay them off. I was livid on the details, called and went line-by-line talking to three different people, including the last person who said she was the sales representative that didn’t speak English very well.

They claimed they called me 20 to 21 times between 9/26 and 10/3 to get verification. I found out because they haven't contacted me about the supposed verification of the installation. I contacted them and they were using the two wrong phone numbers given to them by the distributor, Carolina Water Systems. I'm being charged daily interest on a simple interest loan and the rep didn't want to hear it. They could have gotten on the internet and found out my phone number to verify. They were billing me from September 11 saying the contract started that I have no knowledge of. Ten days ago, I was told I would receive a billing in the mail that will be delivered on the tenth of the month, payable by the 1st.

I got three envelopes from Aqua Finance on the 16th. One of them was dated the 4th of October and said that Carolina Rain System assigned us to Carolina Water System. The followup one was dated two days later on the 6th and it said that the paperwork was sold to someone else. The third one was an invoice dated 10/10, due 10/11 and I received it on 10/16. The moment I got it, it's past due, which is not right. Also, from Carolina Water Systems, the young lady who was filling the products was very technical, which was fine, but when it came down to talking about the money issue, I could never get a price fixed on what it was. It went on and on. I sent a letter stating that they will never be referred by us to anybody. I will recommend to my customers both in North and South Carolina that they rethink their position with Carolina Water Systems and Aqua Finance if they're even thinking about it.

You can tell there's something in the water that's not quite right in our area. We came from a well system, where we had multiple problems with iron and rust in the bathrooms. We just bought a new house and we had been thinking about something that was going to prevent that from happening in the new house. The lady from RainSoft came out and talked to us about everything that was going on with the water.

The rep had multiple little bottles. She was showing what kind of contaminants were on the water. She tested our refrigerator, the sink, the bathroom and other multiple sources. She explained what chemicals she was using and she's like, "You can get this tested at Walmart. It's just the pH." She was telling me how to test the water myself because I wanted to do that, just to look at the water after she tested it. And she's like, "Would you drink this?" I was like, "No. I would not." She was, "Well, you drink it every day. This is yours." And another one I got was she took a bottled water and tested it. I was like, "No. I won't drink that." She was, "Well, you drink it every day. This is your bottled water." And I was like, "That's nice." That got me thinking. I may be a little paranoid about it and she goes, "It's not bad. It's just stuff that's in the water. That's all."

I had 1000 questions for her. I wanted to know about the financing, I wanted to know what the components of the system were and I remember on that day, she had an answer for me for everything that we asked. It was very educational. When the city water runs through the RainSoft system, it takes out a lot of that bleach and that fluoride and those other contaminants that they put in to make the water a little cleaner. That was the selling point for me. I never understood what goes into filtering a water in a water treatment plant, until she came over and explained to us how that happens. She definitely showed me visually what was the in the water.

After the cleaning and having the system installed, there is a drastic difference. You can tell when you just take a shower. The water that comes out, it makes you feel cleaner. The taste of the water coming right out the tap, it's clean and refreshing especially here in Florida, that's not normal. We have hard water in this location. Water is not that precious, especially when you get it from the city because they have run so much fluoride through it and that's another thing she was mentioning as well. But it, unfortunately, gives it a weird taste, or it does something to the water that's not overall healthy for us.

The whole system cost us about $6000 and it was worth it to me. I own the house so having the system, which comes with a lifetime guarantee, added value to the home. If I sell the home in a later date, I actually make my money back. It's literally an investment for me, rather than a cost. The way that I looked at it, it was another selling point. As long as I keep up with the maintenance, it has a lifetime guarantee for it. I've already recommended Rainsoft to a bunch of people.

I spoke with somebody in Home Depot, who introduced me to RainSoft. They offered to check the existing water in the house for free, so we said okay. They came, tested the water in front of us and sold us the product. Our interaction went well. The sales rep was very knowledgeable. We purchased the water softener for drinking water and the air filter. The installation team was friendly and knowledgeable with what they were doing. They did their job. Now, our house smells a lot fresher because of the air filter and our water tastes good. The only thing is that when I went to Home Depot I was told that I would get $20. So when the first rep came he gave us a gift cert, something to fill out that when the RainSoft person came that they would give us something to send off by mail. I sent stuff a very, very long time and I haven’t got anything as of today. But other than that, we’re satisfied with the service.

Be aware of what you are getting into!!! First this is a great product and works as designed. No complaints there. It's a wonderful addition to any home. BUT the customer service and maintenance that needs to be done good luck. Knowing what I know now I would have forgone getting this system. I have had the system for a little over a year now so it is time for regular maintenance. As with anything it's only as good as it's maintained.

Well in July a service rep was supposed to come out and replace the filters and check the system. After 2 cancellations by the company they finally show up on the 16th of October. Not only did they come at a time that was not agreed upon (3pm they called at 11am and said they are at our home) but we were not home so nothing could be done which is why we said 3pm!!! Finally they show back up 2 hours after 3 pm which was the agreed time to do the service. This is after the system has all but stopped working and several phone calls were made to get somebody to come check the system. So this is the customer service end which is horrible. Every time it was rescheduled it was another month away before they could do it as I was told only 1 service person comes in the Wilmington 1 day a week. Fine but if you cancel on me then I should be next on the list not put at the end.

If the system breaks down or gets clogged or any type of problem good luck getting it fixed in a timely manner. For the price paid for everything you would think whoever is running this business would be all about the customers. Seeing as when you have a bad experience like this you lose faith in the company as a whole.

All in all my best recommendation for getting this system would be to look elsewhere and check the customer service where they can actually assist you when needed and not just leave you hanging. Customer service goes a long way in my book and I am willing to pay more as long as I know being a customer the company will do what it can to keep my business and be fair in dealings. This company is far from it and hopefully I can save people from going through this headache we have been through.

We had a water softener back in Florida before we moved and wanted one here in Houston. We got hooked up with RainSoft when my husband went to Home Depot. The sales representative that came out was very nice. He said they won't dig up our yard and that it would be a lift and tuck thing. That was a lie though. They have since corrected everything, but we had all kinds of problems with the installation.

They first tried to put it in the garage and somehow cut the gas line. Then they broke the water sprinkler lines and we lost water to the house. It was a big mess and it took over a week to correct. They had two young guys working on stuff without a mature working individual. My husband had to get out there to show them what the problem was and what was needed to fix it. The young men were nice though. They refunded part of our money, but since the machine costs over six grand, they could have given back more than $300. Especially since my husband was out there working. Their customer service didn't try and hide from the issue and they took my phone calls. Plus, they called me back.

My friend referred me to RainSoft. I wanted to try it and see what the test was all about as it could help me. Setting up a consultation with RainSoft was fine and that experience was great. Their sales rep did a great job explaining things. The installer was a nice guy. He worked fast and it was all good. Since having their system, the water tastes better and the shower is good so it's 100% better than before. We drink a lot of water in this house, and it’s a huge difference.

We don't have the best credit and we were actually quite surprised when we got approved for our system. We were very happy for the approval and had every intention of making the payments. We figured that it's well worth it. However, after RainSoft had approved us and had their system installed, the finance company that RainSoft used called us a few days later. They said that they're sorry but they don't like our credit and there’s the fact that we were late on the mortgage payments, so, they're going to come and get the system back. It was humiliating to have to talk to our team guy that came out. He was coming out to do something and had to be the bearer of bad news to schedule somebody to come and have the system out. That was not fun and we had an issue with the way that was handled.

In the end, they gave us a couple of weeks to catch up on our mortgage, which we're still working on and we’re almost there. We have a couple of closings this week which can make us catch up on the mortgage. We have to prove that the mortgage was caught up so that we could make a payment with RainSoft. We'd love to keep their system but we're not sure if they're going to let us. There’s a bit of a disconnection between the services itself. The system is wonderful but the finance part needed some fine tuning.

And then I got an appointment. Somebody went to my house and after they did the test, my wife and I decided that we wanted a RainSoft water conditioner for the entire house. Everything was fine with the installation. The only issue we had was, apparently, something came out wrong and the system kept flushing the whole day and a half. We could hear the water running, so we had to call. We got another installer and they fixed it. So far, I’m still getting used to the water because when I take a shower, the feeling is different but good.

The only thing that I got a little upset about was that the interest is way too high with the finance company that RainSoft was using. It’s 17% and this should have been disclosed from the beginning. I would rather get my own loan or just pay it off upfront because right now, my payments are $133, and $100 a month is just pure interest. It is really bad. Still, I’d tell my friends that if they care about the health of their family, getting a RainSoft water conditioner is something that they should take into consideration.

Yes there were some things the company as a whole can work on but when I had an issue they stepped up and did right by me and I greatly appreciate that given the price I paid. The demo was a little bit more lengthy than expected, but as someone in the medical field I was very intrigued. Warranty wise compared to the other companies is by far worth it to me for the price.

I read another company voids warranty with chlorine which is every household. Anyways I absolutely would never trade my clean water for anything. It's important for me especially because it's what my children drink. I have recommended it to patients who have had surgery or high blood pressure and they have had nothing but good things to say to me. My opinion as a healthcare professional is you couldn't make a better decision. I think that every company has their quirks, but as long as they learn and make changes and make me feel better that's what matters to me. Go pure everyone!

The RainSoft installer was a good, young man. He explained everything before he installed, and it took him four to five hours to have it done the same day. He also asked if we had any questions at the end of the install. Two weeks later, another technician inspected and did a walk-through. Came to find out, we had too much water pressure going into our house. He said that the inflow was going to blow the system sooner or later and that they should have checked our incoming water pressure. The system's only rated at 40 psi but we were getting 85 psi from the city. So, he put a regulator on it and slowed it down to 45 psi. It’s nice that there's always somebody that comes out to double check on the work.

It took us a while to get used to the taste of the water. We were going through washing machines once a year because of the build-up and the hard water system but now everything seems to be better. Clothes are softer and shampoos are lasting longer. It's been a good, whole different experience. I'm satisfied with the water but I'm not satisfied with the air because they told me they would bring us the filters the following week. It's been almost nine weeks and they said they're running behind. They didn't give me any indication of when it was going to be done. I’m using my own filters that I purchased at Home Depot. The filters RainSoft were supposed to give me are the ones they clean and put back in, but the ones I'm using now are paper.

Your service calls will be $99.00 and another $160.00 for the filters. This is where they tell you your system isn’t working. They will try to sell you a upgrade system, which is thousands more dollars. They will charge you 365.00 to fix and the problem will still exist. Year after year it will be the same song and dance. I am from Columbus Ohio and I am and will get on every social network to help educate people on this company. Please don't fall victim.

We then bought Rainsoft's water softener and their sales rep was excellent. He came to check the old softener that was here, which was cheaper at Home Depot, and he explained to us the difference, the efficiency and the better operation of the Rainsoft one. Since having Rainsoft there has been a 95% difference. We're very happy with them. Everything has been just as they said it would be. I'm very very pleased and very satisfied.

We were not happy with the taste of our water. There was stuff in it that shouldn't have been. I was walking through Home Depot and I saw Rainsoft's water sample mailing thing. So I did that and RainSoft contacted me after they got the sample. The sales representative was good and very thorough. He seemed very knowledgeable and he convinced us to get their product. We purchased the whole-house filter for our condo and we got the ozone thing for the washing machine. The CleanStart puts ozone into the water and it's kind of weird that you don't need to use detergent. My husband tells me everything smells better though.

The installation team screwed up a little bit. You're supposed to only use cold water with the CleanStart on the washing machine. And in the beginning, the guy inadvertently reconnected the hot water to it. There are two different models. One is for high-efficiency washers and one is for regular washers. The guy put the regular washer on and they weren't sure whether that was the correct one. So they sent another guy out who knew a little more about the product. And he was ready to put the other one. I have a high-efficiency machine and he was ready to put it in but he watched it go through a cycle and he thought that this one was fine and he only used cold water so he connected the cold water to it. But we got it all put in correctly in the end and it's all fixed now.

I already had RainSoft several years ago but this time when I bought and went with them, it was through a deal that they had through Home Depot. I filled out a questionnaire on the water and then they came out and did a water sample. I got the RainSoft product that has two tanks. One has the water softener and the filter system that treats the whole house and then one for the drinking water that has the three filters and does the reverse osmosis, and the alkaline system. The installation team showed up when they're supposed to and they scheduled it in my time. They were very nice, helpful, and had done a good job. Several of the features that they pointed out are working and doing good. The water in our house now is softer and I'm satisfied with this product. I've been using it for two months now. I've already recommended it to my friends as well.

I like this product except for the fact that I was promised 5 years of the detergents and shampoos but I haven't received anything. I called and we've had three runarounds on it and we still haven't got any product. The only way we can get any of the product is to buy as much as they give us and that wasn't what was explained.

I had a good experience with the rep who approached me at Home Depot regarding Rainsoft. She was nice and didn't make fun of me. I ended up getting a correlator and a carbon filter. I signed up for their water evaluation too and a guy came out to do it. Then this guy said he would help me have the items I bought out. He was also part of the installation team. After the installation, I called them on the phone and they were very straightforward and honest about what they did, and they took care of everything. Since having the system installed, my water softener works a lot better and I'm not having issues with it anymore.

I then bought the conditioning system, water filters, arrow, AC with the black light, and cleaner from Rainsoft. The installers from Rainsoft did a good job as well. They also showed me how to use everything properly. Since I’ve had the system, the water is cleaner. I drink a half gallon of water a day and it's nice to drink good water. I'm glad I have a RainSoft Water Treatment System.

RainSoft exceeded my expectations. I love the water and everything having to do with the filtration system has been great. Before RainSoft, we have absolutely terrible water down here. We picked the date and time for the consultation that worked and that scheduling process was handled very professionally. The sales rep who came here, Glenda, was fabulous. By the time she left, I felt I had a friend. She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the product even though she must have been fairly new in the ropes. There were a couple of questions I had that she had to call somebody to get answers but she got them right away. I got the full water filtration system with the reverse osmosis feature.

The team who installed it was prompt, friendly, and professional. They were also confident and knowledgeable. We're challenged because we live in a condominium and there wasn't room inside the unit to put it anywhere. The RainSoft team came up with a plan for putting it on my porch and they came prepared for that eventuality. The owner of the company came in advance of the install appointment just to check it out and make sure. When the installation team showed up, they had everything they needed to install it on my porch. It was done at the end of a Friday. I live at Carolina beach and they had to drive to Wilmington. That's a terrible time to drive into Wilmington because they had to get through all the traffic.

About an hour later, I got a call from the primary installer saying that there's an O-ring that he needed to get for my system and that Glenda was going to drop it by the next day but he felt better if he brought it back and put it on that night. He had to drive back to that traffic just to put that ring on the system. It was a job that took him less than a minute. The quality of the water is everything I dreamed of. It is absolutely delicious to drink. I have neighbors who come over here to visit and they bring an empty bottle so they can fill it up with my water and take it back home. I take water with me from the house wherever I go now instead of a bottled water. I don't even like bottled water anymore. It also helped with my hair and skin. My laundry comes out feeling really clean and fresh too. The water that comes out of the RainSoft system is outstanding.

First a sales rep came who told me they’re going to test the water and then the installation guy came in, asked where I wanted to put the system and I didn't talk to him until he left. He was here for an hour. Then my sales rep came back a week later to make sure everything's working properly. Two weeks after that another person came out and he explained other stuff and tested the water again to make sure the system is working.

We love our RainSoft water treatment system. Over the years, we've had wells and Pumpco’s water, but we weren’t entirely satisfied with the water. In addition, my tenant has Crohn’s disease and I have two or three other diseases. At Home Depot, my husband agreed to have a water test. The sales rep of RainSoft asked to come in and test our water and set up an appointment with me, and we followed through. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable young man, and he spent a lot of time answering our questions and talking to us about RainSoft. Then we purchased the whole water conditioning system.

The installers were very accommodating and personable. They also answered questions nicely and we liked them a lot. RainSoft gave us soap that we use it on our hair and body, but it’s hard getting used to the fact that getting the soap off takes forever, which means that the water is extremely soft. Also, Pumpco’s water would turn my sink and shower yellow while RainSoft's water does not. We've had a great experience with RainSoft and I have recommended them to friends.

The last house we're in had a lot of hard water buildup on our appliances. We wanted to prevent that in our new house and also, due to health concerns and we'd like to have filtered water for baby bottles, we considered getting RainSoft. They had Saturdays for a consultation and they're also flexible with the time so, setting up an appointment was easy. Their rep came out and he was friendly, knowledgeable and he took us through the water testing. I didn't feel awkward with him because there's always that awkward point you'd experience when any sales person tells you the price.

We got the conditioning system and then the reverse osmosis under the sink as well. The installer was very wonderful, very nice and he cleaned up after himself. He was also responsive because we initially had a little bit of a leak and he was great about trying to get over to our place to fix it. We haven't had any troubles with the system since though. Now, we use less soap, which is good, in the laundry and in the shower but there's just as much suds. It's a fine work. Also, the water tastes better. RainSoft system is worth the investment.

Home Depot had a RainSoft display that would check water and then make recommendations. We were building a new house and dug a well and I wanted to have the water checked out. Setting up the consultation was simple. RainSoft called me and asked to set up a time and a guy came out and did a presentation. We were in the process of selling an old house at the time so we didn't do it right away. I called them back in four or five months and said we were ready, and the guy came out again, did the test, and then scheduled the installation for us. Then there was a mix up with the financing through Home Depot since they were supposed to give us 24 months and they only did 12, but a few phone calls resolved that.

We got the oxidizer, the softener and the filter that goes under the sink. The installation was easy, fast and didn't interfere with what we are doing in the house. They had to come back a couple of weeks ago because one of the pipes they installed for the drain came loose and broke. I called them and they came back the next day and fixed it again. The water system made a huge difference as we had a sulfur smell in the water but now our water's perfect and it's better than the city water at our old house.

We were in the market for a water filtration system. A RainSoft rep came out and explained everything real thorough. It made sense for us when I had to compare them to a couple of other companies and its pricing, and certainly, we chose RainSoft. We had a newborn and we decided to get the whole RainSoft system with the air, the clean fresh, and the actual reverse osmosis system. It made sense to us from a health standpoint and any possibilities we want to make sure we're as healthy as we can be. The sales rep was very good, very polite, was on point and on time. He really did a nice job. On the other hand, their installer was phenomenal.

For the AC in our home, I could tell the difference smell-wise. The air now has a cleaner smell. Also, our clothes are more crisps and clean. I can personally taste the difference in the taste of the water but simply the visual effect of it and then showing the difference was enough for us. Even if it's not 100% realistic, you're going to have water here and there with the pollutants in the world. If I have the ability to get water filtration for me and my family, then there's no reason not to. Everyone did a great job from the salesman to the installer and the gentleman that came out to review the whole system with us once it was already installed. My whole experience was excellent. RainSoft is affordable and worth every penny. We gave a couple of referrals and a couple family and friends bought the system. We're very fortunate.

The salesman is alright and a typical one who sells something to you, but then when you've got questions, he won’t answer his phone. He’s also a typical poser who promised stuff that didn’t happen.

But I got a RainSoft water treatment deal which is outside the house and the system had a line that discharges salt water. The installation team had run it on the ground and I asked them to come back and run it somewhere else. They did and I’m completely satisfied with the installation team and the management ‘cause they've always called and given me a heads-up. They were very good people and they went above and beyond. I’m also happy with the system. I used to have hard products and whenever I get out of the bath, I would feel sticky. This system completely took care of all that. The guy that came out was good but a bit pushy. At the end, he was trying to make you feel bad for not buying the system from him, which at that time, was pricey and costs $8,000 or $9,000. He almost got me late picking up my daughter because they’re only supposed to take 30 minutes and he took an hour.

I got a call a week later and they had a wholesale. I was interested in that and bought another system but for $3,000. It’s an EC4 home water softener and a reverse osmosis under the sink. Our dishes, the bathroom, showers and shower doors are cleaner. Also, our clothes are getting cleaner as well. The install team was really good, professional and was on time. I had a part go out recently and they came out and fixed it at no charge. I understand they’re busy but I wish they would’ve come out a little sooner because three or four days are a while for you to wait for water and at that time it was pumping the nasty stuff. It was covering everything because the power went out.

Installation for the unit was close to 2,000 (if not more) and we were suppose to have someone contact us after 6 months to get the filters replaced. 11 months later and no response so I called... $99 dollars for the service tech to come out and replace the filters plus an extra $66 for the actual filters!? This was definitely not disclosed on "selling of the unit" to our home. There are many other companies that do water treatment and filtration systems... I would recommend going to them instead. Not an astronomical price for their unit and no hidden fees! Very very disappointed???

At first I was very hesitant towards this product because growing up you were told about how dirty tap water was and to not drink it. After using this product for a month my husband and I have saw a huge change in not only money we've been saving but how our clothes and skin feel from using purified water. I would recommend this to everyone. From excellent customer service to fast installment.

We didn't drink our water before and we wanted to get it tested. We found out about Rainsoft through Home Depot and setting up the consultation with their sales representative was good and easy. I purchased every product that they showed me. The installation team loved our house because it was already set up for what they installed. With the system in place, our water is cleaner. It's been a very good experience.

We heard about RainSoft from a friend and neighbor and bought our first system in '94. We got our second one and it's the home filtration system and something for the drinking water. It's always been positive with their sales reps. We've always had difficulties with them finding our home but that’s because of the mapping services. But everything has worked out well. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Then the team installed the system carefully and well. It's been very nice and the water has been much better. Our well water has a lot of calcification with mostly calcium and silt making it very hard. But there's been a difference in the hardness of the water.

We've been RainSoft customers for 17 years. We were in Jacksonville, Florida 15 years ago, and we saw RainSoft at a home show and bought one for our home there. Then we moved and looked for a RainSoft dealer and they immediately installed it in our current home. We knew what we wanted so talking to the sales rep was like an order taking. We got a softener with a carbon unit attached to it. The installation team did a good job, then a rep came back a few days later and made sure we understood how the unit operated. The water is soft and we get no build-up on anything that relates to the shower because of the water's clarity. Everything worked out great.

I value good drinking water and was curious so I researched about water treatment systems. I then sent RainSoft my spring water test through Home Depot. Anyone who came here for consultation was pleasant, and their installation team was also knowledgeable. Everybody knows what they were doing, so that helps the whole process. It’s pleasant outside of its cost. I got the RainSoft filtration system for my water and it works well, like it’s safe for the children. The difference is fairly obvious too - your skin is less dry, your hair is less coarse. Their products work better!

I was interested in the benefits of having soft water. Setting up a consultation with RainSoft was seamless and easy. The sales rep was extremely polite and as we were doing the demonstration, he gave us the pros and cons. It was a very positive interaction and he wasn't pushy at all. He was very helpful and he laid out the different plans and the cost versus competitors. I initially purchased a system that didn't come with an electronic screen. But, due to complications with their install, I was upgraded to the next version up.

The installation team wasn't able to install the system the day they came. They poked a few holes in my garage but they couldn't find the main water line. Then they came back after I had a few conversations with the GM, and they figured it out. It required them to poke quite a few holes in my ceiling but they got the job done. They were very courteous and they cleaned up after. Everything has been as they described after the water treatment system was installed. My skin feels a lot softer and there are no streaks when I clean the dishes. Everything feels better. I highly recommend working with RainSoft and I'd be happy to introduce those guys to my friends and colleagues.

About 10 months ago, my husband and I were in Home Depot, someone came up to us and said that we would receive a $20 dollar gift certificate if we take this survey. We participated in the survey and he stated the gift card would be coming. About a month later my husband said someone contacted him and asked to give a demonstration on the water treatment we did a survey on. I was very reluctant because I did not want to buy anything, we were in the process of looking/buying a new home so did not really want to put anything in the other home (plus we were renting). We explained to the gentleman we were not looking to buy anything but we let him come because it might be something we would be interested in the future for our new house. When he came over, he explained that it would only take about 15 minutes. 10 minutes for the water demonstration and a 5 minute video. This visit took about 45 minutes to an hour.

I was almost 8 months pregnant at the time and had just gotten home from work and was not prepared to have him in the house for that long. We were impressed with the demonstration and seriously thought about getting this in the home we were interested in. Upon him leaving, we noticed a mark/watermark on the counter from the bottle he used his chemicals on. I tried to wipe with a dishrag and soap but it would not disappear. My husband called him and he said to try various things to get it up, we did as suggested. About a week later it still was on the counter, our counter tops are black, so a white water mark is pretty prevalent. My husband contacted him and he said he would try to come back with some solution to get it up. Every time he said he would come, he would call back a day or two later and say he had to reschedule.

After about 3 months, my husband tried to contact the corporate office, they kept passing the buck and said that they would call him back. It has been 10 months now, my son is 7 months old, we are in the process of moving and the stain is still on the counter. I have spent a good amount of money buying products to try to get this up and nothing is working. We call at least once a week, if not more. The customer service is terrible, no one is wanting to take responsibility and I believe RainSoft is hoping we will just give up. At this point I am looking to take legal action because all we want is someone to come get this off the counter, it has been 10 months, and this is beyond ridiculous. Like I said, once we got to the new house we seriously considered getting this system, we will never buy this now.

He shared with me everything that was wrong with my water and he went through details on each problem as far as using our laundry detergent, as well as with the new pipes and other items in the house. He explained everything very well. I got the water softener and the installation team did great. I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with other things at the house. But it went smoothly with RainSoft. Everything was done on time like they said it would be. The taste of our water coming up from our fridge was what got me thinking about water treatment systems. Then our friend, who had already used the system, referred us to RainSoft and at first, I didn’t know that I was referred so that was a little odd. But the lady did a good job explaining who it was and it was an easy experience. Then she set the appointment up however she didn’t tell us how long it would actually take for the rep, David, to do the presentation in our house. I didn’t feel the time was right so I was glad I didn’t have anything planned after that. It ended up being two hours since we ended up purchasing.

David was great though. He was very professional, friendly, and knew his product really well which we really liked about him. We ended up getting the actual water filtration system with the reverse osmosis underneath the counter. The installers were great, too. They were very friendly and they did a good job putting our system in. They asked us where we wanted it placed and there was no push back on that so we were happy with that.

Everything seems to be working perfectly fine since then. I just need to get the shaft for the filter in my fridge so that the water stops running through that whole filter. We had ordered that from the refrigerator company so once we get that, it’ll be fine. I only have one issue and it's on the Yard Card part of it. There's no grace period after the bill's due date so I have to pay it on or before that or I'm charged late fees. I've told David this in case he wanted to close on a customer. But other than that, we love our RainSoft system so we've been referring it to our friends.

So I got the water system installed, and so far that has worked just fine. It's providing well conditioned water with minimal impact on our water pressure. However, the "add-ons" have been a nightmare. First, as part of our purchase, we were to get a 5 year supply of Pure & Clear products to replace all our soaps and shampoos and such. We were supposed to be contacted within 3 days of the installation, doubly important to us as we had decided to not buy any of the cleaning products that we were out of because we expected to at least have our holdovers until the main shipment came in. It wasn't until the fourth day (when I had to actually call into the number) that we actually got the ball rolling.

Nearly a WEEK after our system had been installed (and we had been forced to go ahead and buy more cleaning products, because dirty floors and clothes aren't fun), she finally got to our house to set up our soap choices and for me to sign the financing papers. Now it's nearly a month later, and we still haven't received our first shipment of full soaps. That's one star gone.

Next up is the Americana Shopper. Didn't hear anything about it from anyone until I called in (again) this past Monday to see what I needed to get setup with that, because it'd be real nice to have those coupons. For the first time, I'm told that I won't get the shopper subscription until I make my first payment on the system, (even though I only get 3 days to cancel after signing the finance papers, which has passed now). So that's the second star gone.

The third star is actually about the financing itself. On that, I was told I would have 45 days from installation before my first payment was due. NOPE, only getting 30. Also this is admittedly my fault for not reading the entire thing through, but no one mentioned at any time that I would only have THREE days to return the system if I wasn't satisfied. But the real clincher? The day that my return period was up, my financing account was sold to a credit union I've never heard of. Oh and they promised it'd be paid off in 5 years at $160 a month. Nah, more like 8 years at $160 a month (grand total of nearly $15k on an $8k system.) I get that financing costs, but that seems a bit overboard. Don't get me wrong, I love our water now. I love the air cleaner they put in the AC. I love what we've been able to use of the soaps. But honestly, I don't know if this headache's going to end up being worth it.

Had a resin treatment system installed pursuant to a visit to Home Depot. I am familiar with the RainSoft name and also have a local friend who has the same system. Very happy with the initial visit/water testing. Installers did a great job putting the system in (29 June 2017) and told me someone would be delivering 120lbs of salt first thing in the morning. 5 stars so far.

'Happy check' was scheduled for 10:00AM 1 July. Rep called, left a message regarding sick child and wanted to reschedule. No answer when I called back but I left a message saying that wouldn't be a problem. She called 3 July, we scheduled for 12 July since she wanted my wife to be here also and that's the next day we'll both be available. I told the rep we still hadn't received the salt, she said we can't wait that long, she would have someone deliver it that day or do it herself. Didn't happen. I've received no further contact from anyone, apparently 4th of July beer and barbecue plans trump customer service. 1 star.

I am not a happy customer. I don't care how well the system works, you have competition. If you don't take care of customers after the sale you will begin losing customers. At this point I cannot recommend RainSoft to friends. This may not be directly attributable to RainSoft/Aquion... but your name is on the equipment. Local distributor is WCW & Air, Inc. I've got hard water and I needed to do something. The RainSoft rep told me he'd meet me in the evening and he did. It was pretty quick and simple. I knew I had an issue, I knew what I was going to do, so basically, he was around a fraction of the amount of time than they normally would be there for. They wanted to try to sell, but I said it was not going to be a hard sell as I was already going to do it. I was just trying to get a price and my options. I was able to accomplish that and we moved forward.

I've got the carbon filter with the big salt tub for soft water. The interaction with the installation team was fine. I had to kind of help them as far as where my water comes in to where it needed to go, but I should have consulted a bit more with the technician and they should have consulted with me a little bit more to tell me what my options were, because they came in and they were going to automatically run the water all the way over to where the water comes in to the house to where it was, which is quite a ways off. I told them where they could do it, but I was told otherwise. I don't need the outside water to have it. Then, of course, they said they wanted the whole system but I told them I didn't need or want the whole system.

The only issue I had was the guy who was selling the product needs to be a little more aware, and I think he was, as he's been doing it a long time. My example is the area that I had to put the system in is a small room, where if you walk inside, it's the dryer, then the furnace, the air conditioning unit, and the washer to the left. Then in the other corner is the hot water heater where we had to put stuff. And he explained how big the system was and how far it'll stick out.

What they didn't take into account is that three and a half or four inches where it has to elbow out. So that carbon filter in that other tank stuck out a little bit farther, and inches make a big difference in this tiny room. So for that, I told him he needed to remember that they've got an extra four inches where something had to come out. But it worked out fine. They just have to take all these other stuff into consideration. But other than that, I don't get the hard water stains anymore, especially in the tub, and I've recommended them.

We experienced a difference in the water's feel and tastes for about 3 months as was demonstrated before we purchased. Now it is as it was before our expensive purchase. I wish I would have read the consumer complaints before I purchased. Some of the complaints seem similar. Hopefully we can all get together and file a class action suit. Once again their product did not soften our water and damaged inside of dishwasher, left a build up and spots of dishes & glasses etc. Rainsoft could not correct problems so replaced with another, this is still not much better. All along I have stated it is not working and I do not work, no one will listen. We have very hard well water. All the "free" product is very dissatisfactory.

I feel everyone involved was more interested in sale and commission, than customer service and satisfaction. Contract dated 9/24/2016, I am aware of 3 year Dealer's Service Policy, however I feel it is useless in view of this product being misrepresented on performance.

UPDATED ON 08/19/2017: Following up on last review. I did get a service person out, a part was replaced because of corrosion informing us that was why it was not softening. Our hardness is 95 to 97, this system will not perform in this environment. My inexpensive standard water softener lasted 12 years. They said, "Well it is still under warranty so there is no charge." What happen when that is over? Expensive on us and still ruining my granite, glassware and who knows what else since I cannot see inside the plumbing. I want this REMOVED!

Next step is attorney, we have many pictures. Oh I forget, they did offer to put on outside our closet in garage and take up precious space, as it is this second one they put in takes the whole utility closet leaving no room for vacuum and other items. This is ridiculous, we are seniors and have been duped into thinking we could ride into our golden years without replacing the softener again. What a joke,

Great product, very poor customer service. Background: Home Depot offered a $20 gift card for listening to an at home presentation for water treatment through RainSoft (WCW & AIR INC). Issues: The sales process took 4 hours and the sales person doing the demonstration used many scare tactics to show us "how harmful" the water we drink is (We have a background in doing drinking water related work so we know a decent amount about water analysis and testing).

Watch out for the tests they perform at your home. They over exaggerate the results for some of the tests and they do improper titration (hardness, chlorine test). This is not to say that they are totally wrong. Soft water and dechlorinating extends the life of many equipment and has health benefits. The order originally did not include all of the products we paid for. We had to call the regional manager to double check and be informed of what products/models we were getting and ensure it was being recorded on the order. The Southeastern manager will tell you that he will call back shortly but most of the time he won't.

They did not have one of our purchased items onsite during the installation so the install itself took over 8 hours (We had water at one point during the day so we could still use the bathroom; at the 4 hour mark). This was still very inconvenient as we have a newborn to take care of. The issue was resolved only after we made several phone calls regarding our treatment unit (QSR). No compensation or remedy for the botched installation and forgetting about one of the items we paid for. Overall, unless you are able to get the equipment for a very good price, we would not recommend their services. You can have just as good a water system by going through another company or doing it yourself. Just make sure you are comfortable with plumbing and some electrical.

I was interested in a water softener for the inside of the house because I want our water to be as good as, if not better than, the soft water that I get out of my refrigerator, as well as to get rid of any kind of bacteria or allergy that you get in regular water that comes from the city or out of the well. I ventured around and read about RainSoft in the paper. And my wife asked for a representative from RainSoft to come over to our house and explain what kind of units they have, the costs and what they all did. The guy that came over knew the product inside out and explained the different types of units and what would be necessary for us to have and what we don't need to have, what type of long-term care we want and the products to use with their water softener which should make everything cleaner, easier, and smoother. He was very good.

I bought the system with twin cylinders for the water and a salt storage tank and we had them install it in the garage so that it wouldn't get weathered. I like the product and the company that installed it. They were very meticulous and precise, and I was very happy with the outcome. RainSoft brings the cubicle salt periodically as it would be needed and all I got to do is check the container once in a while and see how it is. And they come every six months to take a look at it.

Since having the system, my body is a little slicker. And because the water is softer and smoother, I use less soap. The clothing looks whiter because the system produces better water. Also, the drinking is great and we drink tons of tap water. All in all, RainSoft has a great product and I will advertise for it anytime. Also, they were on-time, they were priced right and took care of everything that I asked, and they did anything that they promised.

I bought a washing machine at Home Depot because the old washing machine died. I got a call after that if I could listen to a presentation and I agreed. I was using water from the Watermill Express and for the past 20 years, I've been lugging and picking up a five-gallon then turning it upside-down on a water cooler so for the past 18 months, I said, "I'm gonna get something better since I'm too old to be carrying a five-gallon jar." The call came and it was perfect so I'm very happy. The rep from RainSoft was very nice, presentable and knowledgeable. The installation team was great. The water tastes good since having the system. We don't drink water from the faucet but from the extension with the water softener and we're happy with it.

Our water is much softer now after we had RainSoft installed. We also ordered a bath soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and some other stuff from them because we like them all together. RainSoft’s representative who came for the consultation explained everything about the product and account payment to us, but they only came down to have the contract signed and start the payment.

When they installed the system, however, it had a problem with my refrigerator. When I switch on to their system, it cut off one line and put in direct line, opening all the other tap except the one in the freezer. I have had to pay a service guy $25 to diagnose what’s the trouble with it, and had to replace all that and pay another $99 to get a specialist from Sears to have it fixed. I have already told RainSoft’s representative about the issue, but I have not heard anything from them.

We moved to a home where the water is very hard. We sent in a water sample through Home Depot and somebody from RainSoft contacted my husband and made an appointment. We already knew we were gonna purchase but the RainSoft sales rep still did his presentation and so we knew more about the system and its value. We purchased the entire system and everything was installed well. There was a noticeable difference right away after installation. Now there are no stains in our bathrooms or on our dishes and the stains in the sink are gone. Our water heater had actually gone out the day after the install because of the hardness that has built up so we got a new water heater. Nonetheless, we're satisfied with the whole deal.

Someone from Home Depot called me and wanted to know if she could come demonstrate RainSoft products and I said yes. I asked her to give me a couple of days 'cause I had just gotten back from vacation. Then she demonstrated it and she was sweet, wonderful and nice. Even the installer was great. They brought me a kit and their products are supposed to be free for so long. I'm satisfied with the water but I don't see much of a difference. I probably had good water to begin with. However, when I signed the agreement, I thought it was only $50 something a month. I did not understand that it was gonna cost me an extra $14 each month for interest so I don’t like their credit company. I'm not even into credit cards and I don't ever pay a bunch of interest. Also, I made a list of friends and if they let RainSoft show, I get $100, but they haven't called any of my friends. I don't appreciate that and so I just paid them off.

The amt owed is for a tech who visited the home to service the system. We never ordered the service. In the meanwhile we were promised certain product for free and we have never received 1 item. What's up with that.

They have the nerve to send my debt to a lawyer. I want answers as to why I haven't received 1 item. I even called them and they promised to send products... What happened. The co. is very irresponsible and not worthy to be mentioned to anyone for their service. I am very irate and very disgusted I even got into this contract with them. This experience has been one of the worst decisions I have made. My RainSoft unit was installed in my home on 6-4-17. Like anything you purchase most results are noticed immediately, or within a couple of days, you should start to see some change. I have had this unit for four days, and nothing has changed. My so-called hard water still feels hard with a softener unit, and the water appears cloudy out of the faucet. I called to request a refund, and the representative in her way mocked me for wanting a refund because my request was initiated on day four instead of day 3. This company claims to have a reputation of excellent customer care. In my opinion, it fell short of that. I've paid quite a bit of money for this system to not see immediate results.

Then to add insult to injury not allow me a chance to return their unit because I contacted them one day late. For any consumer thinking about making a purchase with this company think twice about it and do your due diligence. I despise companies who do not stand behind their products. Along with shady sales representatives, who will tell you anything just to get a sale.

We needed a water softener system and our neighbor suggested RainSoft. Setting up a consultation schedule with them was easy and they came out within a couple of days. The sales rep demonstrated how the product would change the water. He had a little chemistry set and he showed how the system worked and what came out of the water. Then we bought the water conditioning system and we had every faucet in our home treated. It took us a while to get everything ready for them but they brought it out real quick after that and it was a stress-free experience. It was excellent. The installer came out, put it in and then he talked to us about it and asked if we had questions. Apparently, Cape Coral water has got a horrible taste to it and we couldn't drink it before. We had to have a system that purifies it, and now we can drink the water right out of the faucet. That's the main thing, but I also think we use less soap now and the water feels creamier.

We got the filter that connects to the whole home. The installation team came out, dug and buried the line, and installed the saltwater pump. They did a fine job. Since the installation, everything's much softer and the taste of the water is much better than it was before. I noticed the softness of the skin when washing dishes or taking a bath and there is no chlorine smell at all. The water seems to be clear. Overall, it was a positive experience.

I saw RainSoft at Home Depot six months ago. I was interested to hear what they have to offer and what is the system that they have. I got the water softener, the one you put in the air condition unit to purify the air, and the one you put on the washing machine. I love the products. They do what RainSoft says they would and I am totally satisfied with them. With these products installed, I’m feeling much better coming out of the bathroom. The bathroom glass stains and the soap scums have been greatly reduced. The water also tastes better. Their installers were very pleasant as well. What I am totally against about RainSoft though is their dishonest and unethical business practice.

They came by the house and told me what would be the cost and my payment. I told them before we signed, "I would get back to you. But as it is now, I have something to deal with. I cannot do it for the next four weeks." I made an arrangement with them because I only took it based on the price they were giving me for and that I would have no payment for four weeks. After signing, they said they can have the installers here by the very next day to put in the products, which what had happened.

About three weeks’ time, they sent me another letter saying that they are going to send me to collections because they don't hear from me, which isn't true. Then, they tried to rewrite the contract. My credit is different, so I know that I have to change it and it’s going to cost me a different price. I said, "No problem.” But what they did is they came and took back the things they installed at my house. They also told me that they’re going to report me and that my credit is going to get shattered. So, there’s no way I am paying anymore. It’s not my problem that they chose to come and put the products in the following morning without doing any further research. They can take back their equipment if that's the case.

After two weeks, they sent somebody to me to renegotiate the contract. But still, the bottom line is that they want to take back two things out of the three equipment installed and give me the same price. So I told them, "Listen, there is no way on God's earth I could sign a contract with you to pay you $119 a month and then I changed it to $80. You would not accept that. Similarly, I am not accepting you changing it to a higher figure."

I called the guy who came to demonstrate the products to me and told him, "Listen man, you are here. You know what I'm talking about. This is not something I'm just making up. You are the one who’s supposed to go out and say, 'Yes, I offered him this.' Yes, I have the authority." He told me that it’s not him but the people in the account inspection. So I said, "If you did not have the authority to do what you did, then you shouldn't have done it. It's totally dishonest." Somebody also told me about RainSoft before I did mine. I said, "No. The people I deal with RainSoft seem very honest and straightforward, and this is what we signed for." She said, "No. They did that to me and I have to tell them to come and take back their thing." So, lo and behold, she was right. They did it to me as well.

I'm dissatisfied with the experience I had with RainSoft. I'd think twice before I introduce them to anybody again because of that. Had it not been the episode I had with them with financial experience, I would recommend it to everybody because we called someone out to demonstrate and then right then, it's a deal. But that's it.

Nevertheless, when the system continued to fail, they stopped responding to our calls.

The General Manager at RainSoft corporate headquarters, Andrew ** similarly would not return my calls. His designee said their affiliates are completely independent and therefore honoring their Satisfaction Guarantee was not a headquarters issue. He said we should simply allow their affiliate another month to try again. After 20 months of continuing issues, and now failure to respond to phone calls, we could not see fit to live with another month of bad water. Water to drink, shower and cook with. Buyer beware, your Southwest Florida RainSoft affiliate and your national Corporate Headquarters are prepared to allow overcharging and will avoid honoring their Satisfaction Guarantee in any and every way they can.

But the saleslady who came out was very convincing about how I could have better water and my lead pipes would last longer. She was here for over two hours and seemed not to hurry at all. She demonstrated her product, was extremely personable, she seemed to enjoy what she was doing and she led me to believe that if I could possibly afford it, then it would be a good purchase. So I got the basic system where it filters all the water coming through the house. That cost me $5,000.

the installer who came out was great, extremely thorough, a real gentleman and friendly. He explained things to me and showed me how to use and fill the system. He knew what he was doing and was here for about a half hour. It was harder to rinse with my water before and it felt like my skin was still soapy when there's no soap left on them. Also, it used to always burn my eyes. But that feeling is gone now for about 90 percent as I've got soft water with RainSoft. But one thing I think that would have been nice is if the saleslady would take the time to write me a thank you note, which I would have immediately recycled.

I'm a nurse and I grew up on well water. It's common sense to get your water checked and I have it tested because, back then, the river bank did not have as many pesticides and chemicals in the ground as there are now. We've had our RainSoft since 1999, and their rep Dave was the one who came out and explained it to us. And recently, we had the system updated because it started leaking. In the beginning the UV light was burned out and every time they send a repair guy out here, he would break it and never did right for a long time so I said, “Well, why in the heck did they sell me UV light? They tell me now that I don’t really need it." So, I got a little bit testy over that and things do need to be updated. We got the reverse osmosis updated, too. So now we don’t have to do anymore of the backwashing.

One Saturday night, our air conditioner had been out all day and to make things better, we were going out to eat to let the house cool down. And when I went down in the basement and checked, there was some water. My husband called the 24-hour emergency line but they said we had to wait until Monday. So, we shut the water off to the house and we would go up to the garage and filter the well water so we can flush our toilets until Monday. So the 24-hour emergency didn’t do me any good. But I did have air conditioning. To be out of water and air conditioning, it was a little bit much.

When the installer got here, he was very professional. He came in the front door, took his shoes off and dealt with everything downstairs. My husband went down there with him, so I went and offered him a drink of water and to see how it was going. He asked me to keep moving a little bit around that hot water heater under the stairwell because that’s where it's located. He did an excellent job in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about him. It was excellent. At first when my husband bought into it I was upset with him, but now I'm very thankful that he got it. It has made a huge difference because now, water is running through the appliances.

Our salesman came to our house and pitched a water system that would "save" us money. He showed us all prices of the systems but then told us he could make a special deal with us, for $72/month for 24 months and we would be done paying it off. He actually sat down with his calculator and showed us how the normal prices in the books were mostly interest, but we could get it at this lower price if we signed up tonight. He also told us we had a 30 day period that if we ended up changing our mind and not liking it, we could get it uninstalled. No charge, no problem. We signed up based on good faith that what the salesman was telling us was actually true.

In the Bill of Sale he had us sign, he told us that the prices he was writing in didn't matter - they weren't our prices, but he had to put them on there. A week later, we get our first bill in the mail and it is over $7000!! We called the salesman and he apologized if he explained it wrong, but that was the total amount. We also asked to talk to his manager and have been playing the run around with him. He told us we are stuck paying the $7000 and that there was no 30 day guarantee that the salesman promised. We were lied to and cheated and now they are trying to hold us to the price. We are involving attorneys for being scammed. Home Depot and Home Services should be ashamed of sending dishonest and lying salesman to prey on good faith people.

We have good water to start with. But I had signed up at Home Depot for a $1000 Home Depot gift card raffle. They said that I was preliminarily drawn for it but then I had a free estimate for a water softener system and that I’ll get $25 gift card. It was false advertisement. They used my $1000 raffle ticket in order to get my information to call me about RainSoft.

The sales rep was friendly when they called and told me the free water test would take no more than about an hour and a half. When they arrived, they were here for three solid hours. I kept telling them that I had an appointment. They told me to sign up that day and we’ll save $500 but the deal won’t be there the next day. We really did want to go with the system but we missed a very important appointment just to be able to save the $500 so it was incredibly short-changed because of those pushy sales tactics. It was also a little frustrating because they underestimated the time they were going to need. But they were courteous and knowledgeable. They were also fine with their job.

They set up the installation for 7PM on a weekday and I said I have to work the next day and that I don’t think that’s going to be a good fit. We believe that the salesperson got his commission once the system was installed because he pushed hard for us to have it installed within three-day window. So, they kept that 7PM on a weekday. I work in a hospital and have to get up at 4AM for work and so it was very unsafe for me. They weren’t here until about 10:30PM that night and again, they set it at two hours max. The poor installer still had to drive home to his kids and family. So it was really frustrating that the salesperson really pushed for that install to happen so quickly and it took much longer again than expected. I didn’t think that kind of scheduling was acceptable. However, the installer was phenomenal, amazing and thorough. My husband had a lot of questions and he explained everything very well.

Before, we didn’t have sulphur and iron but it was hard water. After installing the system, the water is definitely softer. It took some of the chlorine out. So we’re happy with the product. I would recommend it. We’re just unhappy with the legwork of how the product got here. They have to start changing their practices and start to realize that they can’t feed the customer information that it’s going to be a very quick install and presentation because that is really frustrating. Time is incredibly important to everybody. Had they stated upfront and said it’s going to take three hours, I would’ve told them to reschedule.

We were researching for a water filtration system and were considering the warranty, longevity of life and if the system lasts. I went to Home Depot, told a rep there what I was looking for, and he said, “Listen, don’t even look at these units. Call this guy.” He was cool and really quick to respond. So I called RainSoft that day and within 30 minutes, I got a phone call and scheduled it for that evening.

A guy came in, did his water testing for us and showed us the differences. He had a whole booklet that has all the information from all the other competitors and showed exactly how long the warranties were. Once I have researched, he immediately pulled up and told us what the warranties were, what they offer and the fine print. He also talked about his experience with the water softener. What got me was that RainSoft has a lifetime warranty which was perfect. That’s how well the product was. My wife and I made that decision right then and there. The guy who came in was awesome, too.

We got the latest product and the water filter for our sink so we have filtered water the whole time to drink. The installers were very nice. They came in and did their job. The one I interacted with did the water filter, took me outside, walked us through the installation and what they were going to do. They also did a great job in cleaning up and they didn't take long. They also made a post-installation call making sure that everything was cool.

Our water now is 180 degrees different and it’s been great. We love the way the water tastes now, and the way it feels on our skin and our body. Our dishes come out cleaner, too and we got the cleaning soaps. It saves us money since I only have to buy another bar of soap forever. We really don’t use that much. Overall, RainSoft is worth the value. They have great quality and professionalism. I’m glad we did it and in about a year or two, we’re going to purchase the air filtration system because we have a couple of cats and my wife’s very allergic.

I was at Home Depot and a guy walked up to me and asked if I had city water and I told him that I had well water. He asked if I would be interested in a water evaluation and told me I’d get a gift card, too, which is always good, so they set me up. The sales rep Gina came out and did her show about the product for us. I was very impressed with several things, not only with the fact about my ugly water that I had been consuming, but also when she took some of the processed water, wiped the window off, and there were no streaks. She also went to my shower and did the same thing.

The installation team of 2-3 people was on time and very knowledgeable. They explained all to me and showed me what to watch for and look for as far as operation goes. They told me they’d come about every two months to check on it and if they’ve been, I’d not seen anybody. But they didn’t tell me that I’d see them, so I don’t know if they’ve come or not.

I’m very pleased with the product. I don’t have to use as much detergent and fabric softener as I did in the past. There’s no calcium buildup coming through on my faucet where the wire is or the filter-like thing on it to keep trash out. I highly recommend it and I’m happy to tell everybody how happy I am. My granddaughter who is a health buff also has well water and lives in Lynn Haven has purchased one. My brother was real impressed with it too. RainSoft is a fabulous company.

I had concerns with hard water and preserving my appliances such as my dishwasher and washer. So, I consulted with RainSoft when I was at Home Depot, and their sales representative, Barry was very informative. He was able to schedule a time for them to come out that works well for me. And so, I purchased a water conditioner from them. The installation team came out and got plumbers that the same day because I was going out of town. Since I don't have a basement so they put the unit in the room under the stairwell where the hot water tank is. They also did the electrical work and cleaned up after themselves. Since having the system installed, there have been more suds and the water feels different on my skin when I take a shower.

However, RainSoft needs to communicate better. When they approached me in Home Depot, they asked if I would like to do a survey, fill it out then let them demo. In return, I would get a $20 gift card from home depot. After the installation, I spoke to Barry and asked if I was supposed to get a gift card, and he said he would be out in my area and he would just stick it in my mailbox. Afterwards, I called their number and said I still haven't received my gift card. A young lady asked if I got it in my email. Still, they didn't say it was going to be an e-card. Moreover, Barry said he would drop it in my mailbox so if it was coming in the form of an email, I wouldn't expect him to make that statement.

$20 is not going to make or break me. However, I called several times on it and Rainsoft doesn't follow up. I was told to check my email and my junk mail but I still don't have it. I may have deleted it as it did not even say "Rainsoft". The lack of follow-up deterred me and I still haven't heard from them. I'm not going to look for that email. Nevertheless, I would recommend Rainsoft but they need to communicate better.

I had a something for water treatment in the past and I liked it. I continued with RainSoftand the sales rep was good. However, I'm having a problem with paying the bills wherein I'm not getting it on time. For example, I was told they'll send it out on the 14th and that it was six days due. I finally got the bill in the mail two days later and I was wondering how it was six days due if I hadn’t gotten it yet. I’ve tried to do the online bill payment too and it was crazy with their website for the finance company that I went through. I was also told this and that about what the system could do, but so far, I still get everything I had before the system was put it in so I wonder if RainSoft is doing anything different.

I had just bought a house and had super hard water. I went to Home Depot looking for a water softener system and everything went smoothly with the RainSoft sales rep. They came in and tested the water. Everyone was very polite. I didn’t realize how hard the water was until they tested it. They said I have an 18 on the scale. Then they showed me what it’s supposed to be with the softener system and sold me on it.

We originally set up the installation for two days later. But it had to be at night because I work 12 hour shifts. So the guy came out, looked at what I had and very politely and very professionally said that he could install it that day, but he didn’t feel comfortable doing it because if something possibly went wrong, he wouldn’t have access to hardware stores because they would already be closed. So, we set it up the next day which was completely reasonable. He came back, got it all set up, and everything went great. I got a whole water filtration system and the water is doing much better. I can run my fingers through my hair now. I didn’t have any complaints with RainSoft. Everyone who came out was so good.

He did a couple water tests and showed us what was in our water. And he broke the numbers down in regards to how much we spend on a bottled water and detergents and cleaning supplies. He was good and convinced us. He was very knowledgeable and it was a very positive experience. And we’ve been happy ever since.

The installation guy was good and knowledgeable, too. He did an excellent installation. However, he was rushing a little bit and rushing the explanation part of it in regards to how to take care and maintain the water treatment system itself. I live in a town that uses a lot of chlorine and a lot of other chemicals to clean the water. I have a lot of hard water and stuff, so I had been researching for several years and it was finding a place financially, that I was looking to invest into that type of treatment facility. When we were in Home Depot, we were approached by a Home Depot representative, setting up a time to come out and present RainSoft. The sales reps were very friendly and relaxed and knew what they were looking for. When they called initially to set it up, I told them that it was a bad timing and if they could call me back in about a month. They were very amicable and did so. They were great at follow-up and then was very cordial about everything, so I appreciated it.

The rep who came out was great. He was very informative and had a lot of good details. He explained the whole process and what their system did. He was very knowledgeable about it and then just talked through our options of purchasing the system and everything that went with it, so it was a very good experience. We ended up going with the whole house filtration system as well as the reverse osmosis.

The installation people were fantastic as well. They were very polite, respectful, kind, and were good about putting stuff, explaining what they were planning to do and where they were moving stuff because of the way water comes into my home. They wanted to know where I wanted it, close to the other appliances in the basement. And then it would not allow us to have it close to one of our outside spickets, so we talked through that and they were very informative of the difference and what would have happened.

Since having the system installed, I noticed huge differences, especially with all the chlorine being removed. Our water tastes much better. I can drink water directly from my faucets, whereas before I used a filter through my fridge and sometimes even still bottled water. Whereas now, I can, at nighttime, brush my teeth with the water and not taste the chlorine or some of the other calcium and the stuff that’s in there. I've replaced about five of my faucets in the 15 years I owned my home because of the hard water and now I’ve noticed there’s very little or actually none at all on the sinks and stuff, so it’s been great. Overall, my experience was excellent and enjoyable, and RainSoft is a great system to have. I'm happy that I’ve invested in it. It’s done wonders and I wish I had done it sooner.

The initial install spewed black water because their people had no idea what they were doing. I didn't feel safe drinking the water for some time. I was also told I would save money with free soap for life, which left clothes and everything else dirty, and I eventually gave up. I wasn't even sure it was septic safe. This became a Citibank account which admittedly SOLD my PRIVATE information to a number of scammers despite privacy requests.

I was told this was "interest free for a year", so I made large payments thinking interest would be minimal when it kicked in. Then I find out interest is DEFERRED and is NOT on the remaining balance, but back to the beginning! So my interest in one year was ONE THIRD the remaining balance! Home Depot has lost a customer for LIFE!

When the rep did the demonstration, the water tasted good and the price was about the same as Kinetico and he hit all the right buzzwords. So, I wanted treated water. I got the RainSoft system that was a few thousand dollars. It was expensive. Also, I’ve got the RO and I’ve got the whole house filtered. The guys that came to install the system were hard workers. I wanted the RO water to go through the fridge as well, but when they installed it, they forgot to bring it to my fridge. They hadn’t run the tube because they had to go through my cabinets and I had a dishwasher that wasn’t installed yet. So, they had to leave. Then the next guy came out and hooked it up to the dishwasher and to the refrigerator. Overall, they were all super helpful, timely, really knowledgeable, and nice guys.

Since the system was installed, I use the good water for everything. Before, I would not put the tap water in my Bunn coffee maker because I knew it was yucky and it tasted funny. Also, the coffee maker that we’re using was all corroded. My fiancé was going to throw it away and I said I will just clean it with vinegar. I cleaned it and sent it to his office where they have treated water as well. And, there’s an excellent noticeable difference. We also have a pool and the guys that came over said, “Okay when you fill the pool, you got to turn it this way so you’re not putting treated water in a pool that you’re going to treat."

Moreover, with Kinetico, I had to have their filters changed once every five months, and at least once a year, they had to come and service the RO. I was impressed that with RainSoft, they would only come out and service the RO if something goes wrong. They said that the RO filters have to be changed but it would be like eight months as opposed to six. So far, I haven’t had to have anything serviced yet.

My dogs wouldn't drink the water in my house so I researched and had my water tested by RainSoft. The sales reps was very informative. I had to have one created for my home. That was the Clean the Water and then I have a container of salt next to it to clean the filters. Then I also had to have drinking water put in to my kitchen sink. The sales rep said that it's the best way to go and that when I'm limited on space scenarios, I take the best options possible. And when they installed it, they did a fantastic job. Everything is working wonderfully. They were both very polite, and took time to answer any of my questions so I was very happy. Since we had the system, the water doesn’t have an odor to it and doesn’t leave that brown residue on stuff. Everybody's drinking the water including the dogs, so we’re real pleased. I’d recommend them.

Their salesman came out and we had a conversation. I had a good experience with him. He did his tests to demonstrate the quality of our water and how we needed to have the RainSoft system installed. The chemicals didn’t bother me as much as the calcium deposits. We have a brand new house and I’ve been around the areas where there has been harsh water. I saw the calcium deposits and realized that it wouldn’t take long before our plumbing would be filled with this stuff. And so it wasn’t much of a decision for me to go ahead and have them do it. So they came out and they installed it. Everything worked fine except for one thing and that was I can’t connect it to my app. I have tried several times to do that.

My wife had asked once we got the system installed if we could have the same test done that the salesman did to see how the changes were. So, I called him back and said, “Would you mind coming back and doing the same test?” He said, “When would you like me to come back? How about today?” I said, “Sure. Come on by.” And he said, “I guess I need to bring my kid with me.” And I said, “Sure. Bring him, too.” And then he hung up. I was waiting for 5:30 when he said he would be there but he never showed up and so it was then I realized that he was being facetious. I didn’t appreciate that because he could have come anytime. The problem was that I was exhausted. That day, I came home and I wanted to go to bed and get some sleep and because I knew he was coming, I stayed up. I could have taken a nap but the fact that I was waiting for him until 7:30, I couldn’t go to sleep until probably about 9:00.

Over a period of time, a lot of times you see little particles coming out the shower head where they’re made of rubber. They’ll clog up the showerhead. The ones we have have a rubber spout and so they build up in that little individual rubber spout and you could see the deposits now and we’ve only been in the house for about six months. But now, we don’t see it anymore. Their system works really good and I like the interface they have in their system. It exactly says when things happen and how much water you use and you can tell that the water has been soft. But, it would be nice if I could have that test done to verify how well it’s working. That’s all we’re trying to accomplish.

My husband worked a mile from the RainSoft company and that’s how, years ago, he got to know them. He also asked friends about RainSoft and then he purchased the water softener. He made a phone call and had gone down there and they set up a time. The sales reps who came to our home for the consultation were very friendly, talkative, and have done their work. They had to order some stuff and then they set up the time and it was all fine. The installation team was here on time and got the work done. Since having the system installed, I could tell the difference on my dishes. They didn’t have a shine and had a scum on it before, but they all went away. And we could feel it, too, when we take a shower. We were very satisfied.

I had to call Rainsoft to see what's going on because I didn't have water for a good while and the installer was having trouble getting it installed but I can't hardly blame that on him. He was trying. It took all day instead of a few hours but they got us fixed up. My wife said she likes the water better and it feels a little better in the shower. You don't use as much soap and it must be working out. It was a lot of money but she likes it and that's why I've recommended them.

The system that we had in the house was old and it wasn’t keeping the water clean. The water on the hot water side had a pungent sulfur smell to it. Our friends had RainSoft in their house and they had good words to say about it. When we went to the home show, we scheduled an appointment with Paul from RainSoft. He explained to us everything and then he came out, tested the water and recommended a few things to do. We ended up buying the whole home water filtration system and a reverse osmosis water filtration as well at the sink for drinking water. The installers did a pretty good job. I wasn’t there at the time. My mother was. But there must have been some miscommunication between the installers and her because they were supposed to put a new salt tank outside with the new equipment. They just piped in the old salt tank that was in the closet. So they had to come back out and redo that, but that didn’t take them very long.

Since then, the water is a lot cleaner, doesn’t smell bad, no discolorations or anything. Everything’s worked so far, except when we had to call them back once because they had put regular salt in our brine tank and it needed the higher concentration of salt to increase the flush because the smell could come back. Since then, it hasn’t come back so everything is good.

RainSoft wanted to talk to me about my water. As long as the representative came out and done the demonstration, I came to the conclusion that I can make good water out of bad water, especially that I live in Norman, Oklahoma and we got the worst water in the world. Our water is horrible. The appliances and faucets in my house that have anything to do with water go bad way quicker than I would expect. I bought from RainSoft something that went under the kitchen sink then I got another apparatus out in the backyard. Now, my water’s drinkable. I watched the guy do a test on it and he really just came out and enlightened me.

However, they didn't put my yard back together like it probably should have been. They ought to put some sod back instead of making my grass grow back. I had to hear my wife yell at me for a while. I'm concerned about the freezing with it as well. I need some sort of a heater because I know that ain't gonna survive the Oklahoma weather. They stuck the apparatus in a little shed thing so it looks nice and I was completely pleased with it but I’ve got to figure out how to get power and electricity out there.

I saw the free water test at Home Depot, so I thought to have my water tested and see what it says. When I sent in my water test I got a callback a few days later that said, "This is the preliminary results of your water test and we’d like to send somebody out to give you a demonstration and test your water at your home." I agreed and they set up an appointment for me and the guy came. His name was Sean and it was a really great presentation. RainSoft has really got the whole sales pitch down. The thing that’s most compelling is they're at your tap showing you your water and the filtered water. You get to actually see the contaminants that’s in your water or the hardness of the water and what it's like when you wash your hands. It clearly shows that your water is bad, this water is good and you can compare it back and forth. How could you say no at the end of the sales pitch?

I was going to think about it but Sean talked to me and said, “Well, what's gonna change your mind between now and like a month from now?” He’s absolutely right, the sooner the better. I decided to pull the trigger right there and get the system installed. Three days later the installer came out and in two hours they had the whole system set up. They even went over changing the filters, and what kind of salt to buy. I'm comfortable knowing exactly what I got and how it works. Since having the system, the water quality is different, tastes better, feels different and there's no more residue in the sink or in the tub. This is what they said it would be and I'm very happy with it. It was an unbelievably painless experience.

I am almost a one-year owner of RainSoft and while I enjoy the benefits of the whole system, the CleanStart laundry component keeps breaking down - I am on my third call-in to have a technician come out to fix and/or replace (which they have done before). Today I found out that after the one-year warranty, despite RainSoft having lifetime warranty, I would have to pay $99 per house call to have a technician come to fix the CleanStart. Given the fact that the system has been problematic and troublesome on its own with no impact from me, I find it unfair that my warranty is just expiring. The company should extend warranty for such problematic components. If my CleanStart breaks down again (which the nice phone service guy told me it would!) why should I pay $99 per service call? Right now am feeling angry and wish I could return the CleanStart component - since my RainSoft should be improving this water in any case.

We got a lot of mineral deposits and buildups in the faucets to the extent that they slow down the water flow. Also, the sulfur odor was overwhelming in the summer time. I was at Home Depot and I spoke with their folks and they went online and registered me with RainSoft's rep. Then he called and came out. I was thinking of installing a unit myself but after talking to the Home Depot folks, I decided against that. I also looked at Kinetico and called them and I wasn't impressed with either one of them for a number of reasons. But I felt comfortable with the fellow from RainSoft that came out and presented to us about the way their system works.

The installer greeted me and he was tidy. He was knowledgeable, did a nice job, explained everything and it took three to three-and-a-half hours from start to finish. I signed up for the automatic salt replacement and the automatic reverse osmosis replacement through the installer. We now have minimal buildup in the sinks, and we have hardly any hard water scaling. Also, the reverse osmosis water in the shower tastes wonderful. We had friends over one day and one of them asked for spring water but I said I didn't have it but I thought she'll like my water better. And she commented that it was very good tasting water. I have recommended RainSoft to a couple of people.

We're from Ohio and we have all kinds of water treatment systems there for well water. However it was bad when we first got here in Florida when we bought this place in 1984. We had water softener put shortly after that because the water was not good at that time but it's been messing up for the last couple of years, so we decided we'd put a new one in which is RainSoft. We have the softener, chlorine filter and the osmosis. It's my second softener from them and we've had them for 15 years now and it's working fine. We had a problem with the meter on it and they came the next day to fix it. Overall, it's been a very good experience and their reps have been very good to us. We've used them all the time for osmosis system and they very well responded. They come whenever we call them and that's why we stayed with them.

They replaced the whole softener system and now, the water's too damn soft that I can't get the soap off my hands. My only gripe is that they were supposed to give us a $25 gift certificate to a restaurant and when I went online and tried to do it, I can't get it done. There's also a sprung leak that they didn't touch that maybe they can come and fix. But I had an excellent experience with them.

Someone ended up calling me within a week but we were able to have someone come out the day after we moved and give us a demonstration which was awesome and super informative.

We did the Easy 4 water system as well as the unit that goes on the furnace. My mother-in-law was there during the installation and she said that the installers even went over the paper work with her and told me what I needed to do whenever I got home. The unit that was on our furnace wasn't getting power anymore but we had no problem getting a technician to come out and look at it. He needed to order a part and he called us right back several days later. Everything was painless. Now I clean the refrigerator less or not at all, and the dispenser on the front and the other dishes are always super clean. We got the water conditioning system and everything's working fine but I thought there were an after check around three or four weeks after installation to check the system and test it but no one came.
