It was our first time buying a house and we had to replace a lot of gaskets, some flappers, and toilets. We then called Rainsoft, and we were shocked how easy it was to set up the appointment. They came out the next day and they did the little chemical test and told us how our water was. Then we were sold. Also, the people who came were very friendly and kind. We had two kids with us at the time, and they were friendly to both of them, showing them the stuff that they were doing. They also took their shoes off to make sure they did not get mud in the house.
We got the smallest unit for the house for water softening and treatment. The installer, however, had a little trouble with the way that our house was built so he had to go out of his way. He then went to Home Depot a bunch of times to make sure that he got it right, and then fixed everything that he had to mess with. Since having the system, the water has been so much nicer. It’s nice to not have to buy water anymore because the water tastes like water instead of chemicals. It's delicious!

We had tap water that smelled and tasted bad, so we had a rep from RainSoft who came for consultation. He was good, friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. I ended up purchasing the reverse osmosis system, the charcoal filtration system, a water under the sink filtration system and the thing which does sterilization in the laundry. The salesman suggested where they could set the system up and I showed the installers where we were planning on putting it. But then, they had a better suggestion, which I thought was great and it worked out. Since the installation of the system, the water has been 1000% better. It's clear and there's no odor to it. Even if I get water right from the tap, it's still pure. When I shower, I could feel that my skin is soft and the dishes in the dishwater come out clean too. The system is doing its job.

We were contacted about a demo for RainSoft and the salesman who came did a good job. He’s been a super nice guy and sold us on the product. When he did the water test, it was horrendous to see things floating out from our water. So, we bought a whole house system and it’s probably too late for me, but at least my kids might not get cancer. Then a fellow came and got the installation done in a couple of hours. Now, my mother-in-law says the water tastes better. So, if it’s getting all the trash out of the water, then I’d certainly recommend Rainsoft. Go for it.

We got the whole house system and the water for the kitchen from RainSoft. Joe, the Rainsoft sales rep, was a good dude. He was very straightforward and he answered the questions. He got to the point and he didn't **, which I liked. Also, the installers who came were fantastic. One guy got here early, so he looked around to see what he had to do. By the time the other guy showed up, he was already laying the pipes out and everything. They were in and out of here a good two hours.
I'm a very curious person because I'm a mechanic by nature and the guy didn't have to stop working to answer my questions, which was great. When everything was done, they broke down everything for me. They ran through the whole thing for me twice and it was good. The system is nice and small and it's tidied away, so I still could use it in my garage. I'm 100% happy with it. Since having the system, we stopped buying bottled water, which was a nice plus. Also, we've noticed the difference on our skin and it has been good. I wish I knew about this company years ago. I recommend them.

Everything went very, very well when we spoke to Rainsoft's representative. He came and talked to us about the system before we purchased it. He was fine. The installer was excellent as well. He answered all our questions, explained what he was doing, and what everything was for. Since the system was installed, the water has been definitely softer. The soap gets bubbles quicker and the coils in our dishwasher are no longer white from all the residue. It's all coming off. Also, the dishes, especially the glasses, are very clear and clean. So far, we've had a good experience. The only thing that we weren't prepared for was the sound that it makes when it's refilling. It's like water constantly running. We've had them out twice to make sure that it was right. Now, we know that it's part of the system.

We came from Indiana and we could get good bottled water there. However, we couldn't find a good bottled water here. We were talking about putting some kind of system such as a Reverse Osmosis and so we were led to RainSoft and then we bought the system. The sales rep was pleasant, ran us through the whole thing and showed us the differences. He was really knowledgeable and a nice guy. In the end, we got the computerized system instead of the Reverse Osmosis.
The installation was good. Those guys worked hard and got it done. They had to rewire a couple of things and did a good job. Overall, I had a good experience. They ran right through it and did exactly what they said they were gonna do and we’re still enjoying it. Also, I like that RainSoft uses blocks of salt and not bags of salt. Our house is old and the pipes have a lot of residues. It might take a little bit for us to notice a vast improvement but we have noticed improvements already. Now, we use the water in the coffee pot but before that, we were using bottled water so that says a lot.

My father had a Rainsoft unit many years ago and at the time, I was living at home and I loved the soft water. When I purchased my own home, I got my unit. So far, the soft water has been wonderful. Everything about it is better. The service calls have been great as well.

When we bought our house in Tallahassee, we started to get flyers from different companies and one came from Home Depot that was selling the RainSoft system. The reps then contacted us and offered to do a demonstration, and we were impressed when they came out so we ended up getting one. The guy had his whole kit and, with a couple of kids here, he made it into a kind of science experiment. He ran the gamut of everything and went, “Let me show you what’s in your tub water too. Let me show you how I can clean your tubs.” We got the full system that’s connected to our main line that we put the salt in. We also got all the boxes of the soap, dishwashing, shampoo and laundry detergent.
A young man then came over for the installation, and he stood in the front yard with me for a few minutes then we went through where we could put it. The water main in our house is on the front yard so he said, “I can put it as far as the side of the house. Can’t go too far away from the main line.” But it turned out that we actually have some bushes in front that we could put it behind so that it isn’t very obvious that it’s there but still easily accessible. He explained and was on point whenever I had any question as far as the logistics.
Since having RainSoft, there's been a humongous difference in our water. People have come over and said, “Your water tastes good.” And so I've told them about the system. I also tell them that if sales reps call them up wanting to do a demonstration, it’s really worth it to do especially if they got calcium build-up. We cleaned our sinks with the red spray two months ago and haven't had to touch them since. We wiped them down a little bit here and there, but for the most part, it cleaned everything up really fast. Of course, having soft water, it’ll get those calcium deposits and more.

We were looking for a water softener and we wanted a water treatment system in the house because we felt like we'd get cleaner water and everything else with it. I trust Home Depot a lot so when I went in and saw RainSoft's product in there, I thought that it must be a good one. So, I tried it out. RainSoft's reps were the best. They helped me and answered all the questions I had. I got a water softener and another tank that's a water filtration system as well. The installation went very well. The man came and he finished the work. He did a professional job and everything was clean. I was very pleased with his work. So far, I'm also very pleased with the system and since we got it, there has been a big difference with the water. I will enjoy the years to come and the whole family loves it so much. I'd make everybody use RainSoft.

We were in Home Depot and there was a RainSoft representative there. He was explaining to us what the quality of the water has been like. They came out and we were pretty grossed out by what was in our water. The rep took our information and called someone to verify it. They physically had to hear from me that I was interested in them coming out. The rep made the appointment and they showed up and did their presentation.
The installation team who came was excellent. I am a retired contractor so I was constantly asking questions but they were very patient and well-informed. They explained how the whole system worked and they were really good about it. I got the whole house system. I got the reverse osmosis on the sink with a little spigot. They hooked it to the water coming into the home. There are three tanks downstairs and then there's one on the sink up here with the little filters.
I noticed a big difference since the installation. Once it was in and I get into the shower, I feel like my body is smooth. It’s like I have lotion on while I’m washing. It’s pretty cool. Also, with a little filter sink spigot, I can tell right away the flavor of the drinking water and everything is much different. I would definitely recommend RainSoft. They asked me to give them a few people and I gave them 20 names on the list. We also had a young couple coming and they said that they had the demonstration but they were undecided. I made them come in and try it. Everything Rainsoft is doing is spot on. If there was a question or a concern, they went above and beyond to help us out in understanding what it would be like to have it so I'm pretty happy.

I liked RainSoft's sales rep. She was good and knowledgeable. The installation team was fine. They cleaned up after themselves and explained the system. We got the thing that goes on the washing machine, the air filter and then two of C5's. The water's not nearly as hard now and we're happy.

Everything went well after one year. We got services for entire house water services. Change the two filters under the sink. Everything was ok except the taste of the water was still bitter. No change. One week went by. Call for services again. The lady said, "We will send the service man within two days." The man never came to do the checking. I call again and the lady said, "We have no record of this service," so she schedule again. Two more days went. I called again and the lady said, "You are scheduled for the 20th of the month." Meantime the water taste lousy. My son is not drink any water at home. I called again and the lady really give me a hard time where my blood pressure went to the sky. So at this point maybe this system is good but the services sucks big time where I advise anybody that gets this set up investigate for what kind of services they got to offer you before you sign any contract with this people. Thank you.

I was approached by Home Depot and I looked at what they offered and what they had to say. And we were convinced to use RainSoft since about 5 months ago. The installation went well despite only one person doing it and it was almost eight long to get it done. But then I had a little bit of an issue in the beginning with a build-up of soap in the dishwasher. There should not be a scum left in the dishwasher and I showed it to one of the fellows that was out here checking something else. He couldn't figure out what it was so I called them back. They supposedly sent a technician out but he turned out to be not a technician but a salesman. That didn't make me happy, so I had to push and Brian came out here. I didn't think that the tank was actually draining on the side, but Brian took care of it and everything seems to be fine.
I've had a couple of issues, but they have come out so far and taken a look at and corrected the issues. An issue I'm having now is that we bought a new washing machine and then switching the lines over the aerating system for the washing machine doesn't seem to be working. So they're gonna come out and see what the problem is on Saturday morning. I made a phone call today to get the issue straightened out and whoever took the phone call was a lot more professional than the first person that I had spoken to in service. Perhaps they're getting their act together.

Beware! These people are deceitful! A water sample kit came to my house, I mailed it back due to the strong odor coming from my washer I wanted checked out. I received a call from a woman that stated she was calling in reference to the water test. She did not mention she was from Rainsoft. She stated I had chlorine in the water and someone could come to my home to tell how high the levels are and discuss options. The person who came to my home ended up performing tests that could have been faked, lo and behold he was a salesman trying to sell me a $10,000 system!
When I made an uneducated decision (after 3 hours of listening to this man) to go through with it but I couldn’t go through with the install until a week later. So the salesman called his boss and arranged next day set up. I decided to stay up all night and take time to do further research. DO NOT BUY! Spending $10,000 on this is a rip off and scam! There are cheaper systems that perform the same job and this company has had multiple complaints regarding poor consumer service. On the day of install I told the installer I’m cancelling. He walked away, got in his van and called the owner of the company who showed up at my house! The owner asked me why I wanted to cancel, I told him I felt the system was overpriced and I did not want the large bill.
He explained to me the installer gets paid $800 whether or not he does the job, which I’m sure is a lie. So he said he would take $800 off my bill after I already explained to him I did not want this service. After I said no a second time, the owner said, "What can I do to keep your business." I looked at him dumbfounded. He said, "Can my salesman call you," I said, "No. I will call him." Then the owner said, "What about in a month." That's when I gave him the cancelled contract, got my copy and closed the door on him. Just do your research. Pressured tactics should make you think and overthink before and even after you buy a product.

A lot of recipes I was doing needed purified water. Plus, our clothes were smelling after coming out of the washer. We wanted to improve our health and so we began researching on water treatment systems. The sales rep of RainSoft came out to our home and he was nice. He tested the water then went over the packages and what RainSoft had to offer. We got a whole house unit. The installer who put it in was very polite and it was done half a day. Once he was done, he let us know and showed my husband how it works. So far, everything has been good and since then I've noticed a difference in the shower and cleaning.

We bought a house and we liked it but then the water smelled like rotten eggs. That’s what made us look into having a water treatment system. My dad has RainSoft and we set up a consultation for them to come out. The rep who came out was really nice. He helped us out and he showed us everything that he did. He did a water test and sampled the water. We ended up purchasing the most expensive RainSoft product but we like it anyway. But then, the first day when the installers came out there, they were unable to put the system in. They had to come back because we had to wait even longer for our water to get fixed. Still, when they came back, they were quick and the system works good. Since then, the water has been a lot better. We don’t smell the rotten eggs and the color of it is not pink. It's clear and it looks good. The system is worth the money.

The way the county and city treat the water isn’t always a 100% sufficient, so we figured out we'd make an upgrade. The RainSoft salesman I dealt with was excellent. He went through particular parts of the contaminants and what would the system do for it. I then got the drinking filter and the water softener. The installation was okay but the installers got more room under our sink than we'd like. But we have to live with that. We've had our system for three months now and with it, we have more confidence that our water has fewer pollutants in it and that it's filtered. However, it would be nice if RainSoft brings the price down. That would be an incentive to some people, I’m sure.

The people at RainSoft told us that they would come in and do a water treatment testing and we thought that we should see what it look like in our house since it was new. Also, our hair feels softer and lighter and the water tastes a lot better.

RainSoft came out to test my water and it was enlightening. They opened my eyes about what was going on in my home. I had been using filters and buying water in the stores, and I thought it was a lose-lose proposition. But I was spending so much extra on something that should have been a little bit more helpful to me. After the initial test, the fella said he would set me up. Then the installer came on a Saturday and I didn't know they worked on Saturdays. He did most of the work outside. He set the product up and showed me what he was doing. I have a big machine outside attached to my water intake. So the whole house is filtered.
I was a little bit concerned because the main filter didn't have any kind of a lock. It's something similar to a garbage can but he said that I could put something on the top so it won't fly away during a storm which I didn't understand too much. It wasn't really a safety thing but I set something up so that I could keep the top on so it wouldn't be exposed to the elements.
He also came inside and gave me a water filter coming from my sink, into the drinking water and into the ice box. They gave me eight boxes of soap, creams and sprays to use. So that's another thing where I have savings. I won't have to buy soap for another three to five years. The process lasted a little under four hours. But bout two weeks after the installation, I had my house painted and after they were done, I noticed that my electric line outside was cut. It hooks into my water filter so unbeknownst to me, I was getting natural city water.
So my skin wasn't feeling as soft and I was afraid of the drinking water also. But RainSoft had said that I had a separate filter for my drinking water. I called them up and they came by in two days to fix that. Since then, it's been going very smoothly and I have been recommending them. My showers are fantastic now and my skin is so soft. My wife loves it too because her skin is as soft even though she doesn't use as many night creams as she used to.

I moved and RainSoft sent something in the mail about a water test. When the consultant came by he was very good and answered all my questions. I purchased the charcoal filtration system. The installation team had to cut a metal pipe that came from the street to the house. And instead of using a threaded PVC pipe that would be more secure, they used some kind of coupling. Apparently, they cut it too short and about a month later, after it was raining and some of the soil washed away underneath it, it started to slide. One morning I woke up and there was water coming out everywhere so I had to turn the water off and then get the technician to come out and fix it the way it should have been done the first time. I had to call them three times. But I can immediately tell the difference mostly in my skin and hair, and then there are zero water spots on glasses and dishes. It’s amazing.

I then called them to do it and during that period of time, they discussed with me the RainSoft product and we decided to go with it. The gentleman who came over did a pretty good job, and all the questions I had was there. The thing I called him out for was they weren’t really able to tell me the problem at the time. However, he was able to tell me what they could do to solve it. Also, the installers did a fantastic job. They were efficient and they knew what they were doing. They also gave a lot of instructions on what was going on. I could not ask for a better situation. The water is much better especially with the system in it. This one does so much better job than the water softener I had before. Lastly, I did this little glass of water. They will test it and then come back and tell me how good the system was working. However, they never seem to return and that has been some time back.

I've had this EC-5 Water Treatment System now for almost a year and they still can't get the rotten egg smell out of the water. Each tech says the prior tech/installer didn't set something correctly and the new settings will work. So far my water is soft but smells, meaning I have a very overpriced water softener. The only reason I went with Rainsoft is because the house had an existing Rainsoft system when I bought it. I hoped it could be repaired, but the rep said the system was beyond repair and my wife wanted good water right now, so I didn't have time to shop around.
Getting service under warranty is kind of a joke as it always takes 3-5 days to get someone out to your house. Once they have your money... Thankfully we have a (non-Rainsoft) reverse osmosis system for drinking water. I refused their offer to get my system free if I got them 5 new customers. I would not recommend their systems to anyone.

We built a new home and we wanted to preserve the new stuff we just put in the house. We heard of RainSoft from our friends and I bought the drinking water and the home softener treatment system. Now our water is softer on our skins and our drinking water tastes better. The water is also better for our glass shower door and there have been no spots on the dishes.
The consultation that we had with their sales rep before we bought the products, however, was long and I'm not a fan of being put on the spot to decide to spend $6,500 right then and there. We haven’t researched other types of softener, so it would have been nice to have the option to take some time to do that. Besides, that was later into the evening and my kids were hungry and we were trying to do our family thing with my father-in-law coming. I like the product and I knew I would, but it was a lot of money and a lot to decide right then. They also had a thing with the soap concentrate deal and that was another piece to add on and I was like, "Oh, there's soap involved." My brain was toast. Then, I was thinking about how I was going to pay for the system and they told me that they finance some of it so I filled out a credit application. It was just a lot and it was a stressful night.

When RainSoft's sales rep came, he did a great demonstration. He interacted with our family and with the kids so it was so wonderful. We didn’t know what RainSoft’s product was before he got here and when he demonstrated it, we decided RainSoft’s system might be something that would help my skin issue. I was breaking out and I had a rash right along my hairline that I stopped coloring my hair. I also switched all my product several times and using the RainSoft system cleared it up. We got the water purifier from RainSoft about three months ago and we're very satisfied. However, the rep told us that it’d be $100 a month and he never stated that it was a payment plan that we were paying off and that there gonna be a 25% interest. He didn’t explain it well. So, when the next guy came, we figured it out and we were not gonna pay double for it over the time period. Other than that, it was a great experience.

When I moved to my house, there was already an equipment from RainSoft. One is for the hot water, plus the softener for the whole house and an additional system for drinking water. It goes to filters underneath the sink in order to get rid of the salt and stuff for the drinking water. But within two years, I called them twice and booked on updating the system. There was a blockage in the drinking water and it wasn't building up. Every time, their reps were really pleasant. The first time when I called, they sent a technician and he seemed to fix it but it wasn't picking up correctly from the right water directions. And then the second guy came and fixed some things but I still had the problem so he came back and said that the metal filter needs to be changed because there isn’t any of the gold stuff. He said that the filter was not working and because we have a lot of ion in the water, he brought another one.
However, I noticed that when I wash my hands, it takes longer to wash the soap. When I called RainSoft, I was told that it means we have soft water now and I took his word for it so it seems the system is working fine. I’m happy but at the same time, I’m not because if I add up how much I paid for two years, it’s more than $5,000 and there is something else every time. With the new system now, the technician guy told me that I have a lifetime warranty so I hope everything is fine. But at the same time, what I really need is the service call where they have a schedule on calling me to say that I am up for changing filters and make an appointment instead of me following up with them because it's too many stuff to track for.

A friend then referred us to Rainsoft and the sales rep that we dealt with did a great job.
Then, during installation, not only were they putting the RainSoft in but they were also putting some ceiling, roof, and a couple of other little things. One guy was trying to do it all, so it was a little bit of a slow process. We coordinated those things and it took them a couple of different days to get out there and finish everything. We were at Home Depot and they were going around surveying people. They offered a free gift card just to get our water tested so we did it. RainSoft's sales rep was nice. She tested our water and explained to us why we needed a RainSoft system, not just making a commission. After which, we decided to just go ahead and get it. RainSoft came out the next day and installed it. The installation went well but there was a small leak that I had called them about. They were supposed to send somebody out the next day to fix it but the person never showed up and the leak ended up sealing itself off. We got the detergent along with the system for free but we were not really sold on it. I couldn't smell the cleanliness on our clothes like when using other detergents after the clothes were washed. It almost leaves the odor in the clothes that they had from sweating or whatever else. Nevertheless, the water is now softer.

After the hurricane, I was reading some stuff and heard the news that water in Florida was even worse than before. So, we started considering improving the water treatment system in our home. I got the water conditioning system from RainSoft and with it, there's a change in the flavor of the water. The skin when you wash your hands or take a shower, feels very, very soft. We are also not having a problem with the white stuff that accumulated before. And the taste of the water is really good. We love RainSoft and are really pleased.
The installer was here on time when he was supposed to be. I didn’t interact that much with him 'cause he mainly worked outside. So, he did his thing and then when he was finished, he showed me the system and gave us some basic instructions, and that was fine. Also, at the beginning, the examples that the rep demonstrated in the kitchen and in the bathroom were really helpful, but he took four hours, which was way too long.

We started looking into a treatment system because I've been here for 10 years and I've never had the water tested before. My wife has had cancer two times and there were some concerns that it could be in the water. When the water was tested, it did the test really bad but anything that could give a bit more confidence to my wife, I like it better. The RainSoft reps were very good and very thorough, although I would have liked the introduction to be a bit faster. It took a long time, but other than that, it was very convincing.
The installation went well on the first day. There was only one place to put the French drain and it had to be done by hand. The gentleman that was out and loaded it up initially came out and inspected. He didn't do that in the version that they ordered. Unfortunately, the day that they sent somebody out to do the French drain, they were never told that, so they weren’t prepared to do it by hand. It would have been nice to let the crew know that they had to dig it by hand rather than use a small backhoe and they weren't thoroughly equipped to do so. They didn't have a wheelbarrow and some of the soil had to be wheelbarrowed out.
They got the job done but initially sent one guy out and he thought he was gonna be by himself. As it was, somebody else on another truck came, there were three of them. So it worked out well. But when the other guys showed up, one guy said, "I'm here to finish the job one way or the other." He was willing to do it himself, which was great, but he sure looked pleased when the other truck brought up unexpectedly.
The installers were really nice, as well as the person that explained the system. I got the whole system and what we're using for drinking water is very good. We drink a lot of iced tea and my wife uses fewer tea bags for that as she makes iced tea, which surprised her. The system is functioning fine. RainSoft calls periodically and checks on us.

I've been using RainSoft for 25 years and last year, I had a new one installed. I called the girl at the office and there's one fellow that I have always requested to come out because he knew what he was doing. They were a bunch of good and very nice people. The nice part about the new system is I don't have to flush the filter. The man who came said to just drain it once in a while or to just drain it if the water has been in the receptacle for too long and it will refill. I did that on the last system and I was very religious about doing that every 15 days. And then, little by little you stop doing things. So, the water has always been very great and it has always been tested well when they come out. It's a wonderful system and I'm very pleased.
If I ever move, I would definitely call them to have a system installed wherever I'm gonna be. I would certainly leave it here for the people who might buy the place because they might wanna continue using the system. The initial cost is expensive, but it's $100 something to have the filters changed every year, which is cheaper than buying bottled water and better for our earth. My neighbor orders Pellegrino from Amazon. He drinks three or four bottles a day and it has gotta add up to quite a bit of money. When I was at a friend’s house, she gave me a bottle of water. The water has no taste to it but it's wet, which is what you're looking for in water. It's a quencher and that's what I get from my system. I love my water. RainSoft is a wonderful company and I recommend them all the time but most people don't wanna pay that kind of money.

We didn't wanna drink Houston tap water and I spent a lot of money on bottled water for our family. We made the decision to get a water treatment system but we just didn’t have the money to put one in. My husband was walking through Home Depot and got approached by RainSoft and the timing really worked out that time. The installation was good. We were a little concerned because we have a chlorinated pool at the back and we wanted to make sure that we weren't gonna be filtering the chlorinated pool because a lot of them needed chemicals put in and we certainly didn’t want that to happen. But it all got taken care of so we are happy. RainSoft is very easy to work with. Even the aftersales stuff like getting information on the soap was easy. We gave the agent about 30 different contacts of friends and family.

Knowing that the water here had some hardness to it, we looked into water systems and the dealer from RainSoft contacted us. The rep came into the house and did a very thorough demonstration of how the system works. He did a very good job and sold us on it. We got the conditioning and during installation, the plumber came and worked like crazy. It was late in the evening and he got it done in no time. He also showed us how to operate it and it worked great. We noticed some deposits around some of the rings of the sink so I don't know if it has taken all the iron out like it was supposed to. But since using the system, there has definitely been an improvement in the water from when you shower and wash clothes. In fact, we use less detergent and soap. The RainSoft system has been working well and I don’t see any issues with it.

He would never even drink out of the water faucet and he always wanted bottled water. It was very straightforward and very easy to set up an appointment with RainSoft. They have information and they set the appointment up at a time that was available for the whole family. We had a genuine conversation with the sales rep. We talked as if we've know each other for years. The installers came in very professionally and they were efficient. They left no stones unturned. They set the system up and showed us how to use it. The sales reps of Rainsoft Water Treatment Systems approached us when we were at Home Depot and the experience was great. My husband is in the contracting business where he listens to people all day long giving their spiels and he was so skeptical, but then we couldn't argue with the results. We had a lot of hard water around the nozzles of our sink and after seeing the demonstration of how bad our water was, we went with them.
We only got the system in the kitchen sink for the drinking water. We would have gotten more but the cost of everything was too much. If they can lower the price on more things, we'll think twice about getting more products from them. The installation of our system was a breeze. The installer was really quick and he took a half hour to complete the installation. The system that we got is great and it's right there whenever we need it. Since having it, we've been saving $30 to $40 per month in not having to buy bottled water all the time since the water tastes just like the bottled water that we were getting before.

So after RainSoft's guy came to me when I was at Home Depot and asked how our water was, we started the process of getting a water system. He called me afterwards. He was a good and knowledgeable guy and when he came out, he was was thorough and did his presentation well. I purchased RainSoft's OxyTech that takes the iron out and something that we put in the sink to purify our drinking water. RainSoft's installation team did fine. Also, my dishwasher wasn't doing a good job and I thought it was the dishwasher, but it was the water. So we had been planning on getting a treatment system for a long time, but we hadn’t decided and then, the little fellow from RainSoft came out and did a very good job of demonstrating it. We knew before that we needed something but we weren't sure and then, we decided on it. The system had the lifetime warranty too, so we liked that. The installers were very good, professional and did what they should do.
The RainSoft system does a good job and our water is totally different now. We don't itch after the showers and the dry patches that my husband had been getting on his skin have gone away. My kids have eczema and so we had considered something to help improve the quality as well as drinking water. I heard RainSoft through the company that we had come out to give us the water system. The sales representatives seemed knowledgeable and answered all our questions. It was pretty easy working with them. They came out and did a little magic show in our kitchen, and told us about the different things that were potentially in the water and what the water treatment system could do.
We ended up with a whole house system, a water softener and then an under the sink drinking water filtration system. The installation team was quick, efficient and very clean, and answered a bunch of questions about what to expect in terms of the water. We had a little issue with some leaking around the water spigot that they put in and they were able to get out within a day or two to fix that. We’re happy with the product overall. We've noticed the drinking water has been quite nice. Also, our dishes don’t have any spots on them and the dishwasher doesn’t have any buildup of that lime.

I was determining what was in my water in Naples, Florida and I did some research at the National Sanitary Foundation. When I went on the Environmental Working Group website, I could look at the water system for Naples, Collier County. They told me they have to take water samples every couple of years and I didn’t like what I saw in the water. The issue was predominantly chromium and trihalomethanes. The EWG website listed RainSoft as an NSF-registered product that would remove trihalomethanes so that was why I went with RainSoft. Then to get rid of the chromium, I used the ZeroWater filter which was also NSF-certified for that. I wouldn’t spend that kind of money to buy something from a contractor if there was no independent certification of the fact that the product would do what it stated it would do.
We had RainSoft install a system in our home and the contractor, the local guy, was great. He was very nice, friendly and professional. They did a nice job with the installation and I’d definitely use them again. The guy from RainSoft would also come back to service every year and then we would also re-bed the tank in five years. The installation went really well and the guy was really explanatory. He showed us how to use the system and explained himself pretty well. RainSoft is also supposed to send a guy to do a backup check but he hasn't come yet. I had to cancel the first guy ‘cause I was gone on a business trip.
Still, the product works great and I’m really satisfied with it. The water’s softer now and I can feel the difference on my skin. I have really sensitive skin and it’s less irritated now. They were able to schedule a time that worked well for me because I have a crazy schedule. It was like 7:00 at night. So it was really nice. The rep was very polite, professional and very nice. He was an older man and his name was Jack. He was just very informative. He showed us the different demonstrations on how the water gets into your skin and different stuff like that. It was very interesting. He knew what he was talking about and he was also saying that he has the system himself. He was giving me different examples, like how soft it would be on your skin versus the person who's using the hard water and the chemicals going into our skin, like the chlorine. We were all sitting there watching the demonstration and we were shocked at how bad the water was.
I got the water treatment and then I got the laundry thing. I also got the one where they dissolve all the pharmaceuticals out of the water. The first time the installers were scheduled to come out, it had been a really rainy day. The other guy that was working with him had tripped himself in the mud. And the one guy really needed to have the second person there. And I told them if it would be more convenient for them to come back and do that. And they did and they were really good. They were also nice and they told me if I had any problems to give them a call. He gave me his cell phone number. They were more than happy to help me out.
Now, my hair is so soft, it's ridiculous. The water tastes better too and I also see the difference when washing the dishes. So, when I hand wash my dishes, there used to be spots on the dishes all the time but now there are no spots on my glasses. I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing that I didn't want was how they signed me up for online payments. It was on a well and had a lot of Manganese in the water. We tried many other ways to try to fix the problem. We first had a different system put in by a plumber in the area and it was not powerful enough to do the job. The RainSoft sales rep met with us and then we weren't sure if we were gonna go with them or not. We got the whole house system which was the softener, filter, and then we have an osmosis for the kitchen and refrigerator ‘cause the refrigerator has a water dispenser in it. The people that came to install were also knowledgeable and they took care of one little glitch in the systems. They also cleaned up their mess very well.
I immensely enjoyed the system. We got rid of all the UFOs in our water. Our water is softer and it tastes a lot better no matter what sink we drink at. Before we could drink out of any sink but they all have the floaters. The kitchen stuff tastes the best because it’s the reverse osmosis system. RainSoft is a good product. It requires minimal maintenance, and so far, reliable.

I lived in Highland Township, Michigan for a number of years, and I had three houses in that area and was always in a well and a septic tank. I’ve been using RainSoft for 35 years and when I moved to Grand Haven, Michigan, I was not accustomed to the city water. It was driving me crazy having to soap my hair two or three times before my hair felt soft or that it was washed. I went to run a couple of houses in the neighborhood after moving in, asked about the deal around, and I found out about the city water so I started pulling up stuff on the web about it. Even though it's city water, there's run off from rain and everything else so that is processed through directly. And in the wintertime here, there is ice on the roads and the water is coming back out through the city water too. It was just strange that it was acceptable from a legal and used perspective but it didn’t feel the same as when one has a water conditioner.
So, I went back to the way I like things with the water conditioner and the tank from RainSoft. The representatives from RainSoft came in and got the work done. They were able to work around the limitations in my home as far as the electrical hook-up and the electrical power in it. Now, they got me running in good order and I’ve been using RainSoft ever since. I’m perfectly satisfied and happy with RainSoft. Granting the city water isn’t terrible, people can do a lot better than that when they’ve got one of the conditioners like what RainSoft has. I have already recommended it to several people in my neighborhood too.

I bought a washer from the Home Depot and then a month later somebody from RainSoft gave me a call. He told me about the benefits of the soft water with my pipes and my washer. I got the water softener unit on the outside and then I got the indoor for drinking water. The RainSoft product was installed about four months ago and Mike, the installer, was the best person to come out. Since installing the RainSoft system, my water pressure is a bit less, but it was still good. The product can’t seem to wash the soap out of my hair, but that’s the soft water that makes it feel like the soap is still in there and that’s how it is. I haven’t had to replace any of the salt yet, but it has a little alarm that goes off when it needs anything. It’s all automated.
However, with the drinking water that I have, it's not so good because I had a filtration kit before and it was more the same. But other than that, the experience with RainSoft has all been good. Everything is working fine and I couldn’t be happier. I tell anybody who asks that I have soft water and then I let them know that RainSoft is a good company and that they have good stuff and a good program.

He was very well-informed and he did a great job. I purchased the whole package from RainSoft, which included the bubbles, the vents, and the water system. The installation team was very pleasant, too. After the system was installed, the first thing we noticed was that after taking a shower, my skin felt more moisturized than it did prior to the system. Also, our clothes appear to be a little softer and cleaner, so we are very pleased with RainSoft.

When we had our current system installed, the tech said that somebody would be contacting us the next days, and he would stop by and make sure everything was fine and answer any questions but it never happened. Somebody called about a month ago and my wife took the call. She said that we had some concerns and the gentleman was gonna call back later that day when I would be available. But I never heard from anybody. RainSoft should follow up on customer service. I also did an online survey and requested that somebody call me, but nobody ever called.

I loved our drinking water, and we also sold bottles up. I love their soft water system, too. It makes our skin feel safe. And we don't have a lot of soap because we know it's clean water. So we don't have anything breaking down.
Tony, the service tech who maintains the water system, is a darn good salesman, too. He's one of the best ones they've got. I trust him and I only want him to do my annual service. I am pleased with RainSoft. I was really scared when Tony showed me what the water is doing to our pipes, but with the soft water from our RainSoft system, I noticed that my faucets are not crusting up.

My parents had a water treatment system similar to this in the house for years, so I knew the benefits of it and how not clean the water was. We went to Home Depot and they asked us about having someone come out and test our water for us. A RainSoft rep came out and installed the system and it went pretty good. He didn't explain a few things about it as far as how to reset the timer for the salt, but he showed us to how to bypass it if we need to, like where to put the salt and how to put the salt in. I wanted to make sure I was getting the best water and not putting anything unnecessary into my system, so I started researching water and air filtration systems. Rainsoft called and explained who they were and asked a good time that we could all meet. The only issue was the fact that both my husband and I had to be here and it was hard to coordinate.
I purchased the whole house filtration system and the installation was a little tricky because of where my system needed to be located. But the guy that came out stayed here almost all day and did everything he could to accommodate and get it in as quickly as possible. He was worried that I was getting upset but he was awesome and I really appreciated that he did everything he did to make it work. Since using it the system, I’ve had softer water and we’re not seeing any discoloration or change in the flavor. He worked hard and explained everything really well. So far, the water is great. It tastes good and I don't use detergent with my clothes. Also, we don't have to do daily squidging with the shower which is nice. We’ve seen less of the hard water around the faucets since we moved in and we were pleased with it.
So far, we really like our RainSoft water system. It has been about three months since we put in the system and we had two follow up phone calls from them. One was when they wanted to come but it was not a good time for me. They called back and my husband set up an appointment but they never showed up. We didn’t follow-up because I'm sure they'd call back. We'd really like them to come to do a check over and make sure everything is running smoothly and to give us the review on when the filters need to be done because that information was a lot in the very beginning. He went over everything in detail and we decided to go with it since we have a new born.
We purchased the whole set-up. It has been the polar opposite since we had the system. We bought a new shower head and the old shower head as well, they’re starting to lose their residue. We bought an EC4, like the filtering system and then there's a reverse osmosis in the sink as well. However, the installation took a lot longer than I thought it would. I wanted it out of the way in the garage but they were initially gonna install it outside. But they were willing to work with me as far as accommodating what I wanted.
One of the things the sales guy told us was that the city uses chlorine in the water which he said it's not like chlorine, it's a different version of chlorine, so it stays in the water. It doesn’t actually evolve off like normal chlorine does. And I would attribute it to that that the whole house filtering system is really taking everything out because we've noticed we're getting mold or mildew on our toilet and then in the shower and it would be because whatever was in the water is not there now. And I look at that as a positive thing because it's telling me that we were drinking a bunch of stuff that we probably shouldn’t be. Also, it's a very positive indicator that it's doing what they suggested that it was going to do.

It's the two-gallon thing underneath the sink.
They came and hooked everything up. They didn’t have one of the tanks for the softener, but they were back two days later and finished all the installation. They were very professional. Plus, they gave good explanations on adding the salt, how to use the keypad on the unit and getting information. With the new system, there is a big difference with the white chalky buildup around the faucets and the shower. Then there's the feel of the water when showering or washing the hands, which is nice. The drinking water, which is used for cooking is nice as well.
They put in two bags of salt in the water softener so I went and bought three more 40-pound bags and filled it up. I think it holds 200 pounds. Other than that, the drinking water filters have to be replaced at some time. There's not a lot of maintenance to do at all. Then, they told me when they'd come. The rep who came out was very courteous and I like him. However, my husband and I didn't realize how long the consultation was gonna take. It ended up being close to two hours which seemed fairly typical for them since they went through all the different tests. We purchased a full house system and that was done the last half hour. It would have been helpful if they've let me know it would be pretty lengthy at the beginning so I would have changed the time.
The installers came out the next day which was great. They set up the shaft in our garage and it took about an hour. They didn't have to turn off the water for too long. They only did it for a few minutes but it wasn't too bad. Then they showed us how to run the system and where to put salt. It was very easy. We've had the system installed for six months now and we've been really happy with it. I don't have to use dryer sheets anymore except on the towels because they get kind of crunchy. My hair feels softer too.
The Rainsoft system we have is a good product, so even though its price was a little bit higher than I was expecting and a bit higher than some of the other systems that we have seen on the market, it wasn't something that we felt like we were uncomfortable paying for its quality and the lifetime warranty. However, the installers connected the water softening system to one of my outdoor spigots. I'm really not pleased with that because I didn't really install a water softening system to water my lawn. Now that it’s water sprinkling season, I don’t want to be plowing through my salts while I’m washing my car or watering my lawn. The system was installed back in February when watering the lawn wasn’t a concern. But the other day, I was watering the lawn and I thought it was crazy. I’m gonna contact the sales rep directly and get to the bottom of it.

My husband while visiting a Home Depot was somehow persuaded to use set up a home appt. Don't do it. We had an A+ sales representative come to our home and show us all these things that are magically cleaned by themselves... With just this system's water. Now I realize there must have been something added to that water cause it never did that again. Talked us into a 6500 dollar purchase and did it all by telling my husband how much better this would be for my health. Let me tell you something. They do not stand by their products and when we finally had major issues with our water pressure and called a plumber we were told the main problem for these issues is the water filtration systems. Just rooked me for almost another 600 dollars and they have the most impolite disgusting customer service I have ever dealt with. Do not use these people.

It appears that this company is all about selling their merchandise but not following through when the customer needs assistance. My husband and I have spent close to $10,000.00 on RainSoft Water Treatment System but after a year when our water started to smell like sulphur, we called to have someone come look at it. They told us they were short on help, some were out sick, the dog ate the homework!!! Really??? We spent a lot of money! We called again, then they told us what to buy, and they would could do it ourselves, OR wait a month and a half out to have a repairman available.
We regret buy anything from them. For this much money, we could have bought something so much cheaper that we could have had better service. We would never recommend RainSoft Water Treatment Systems to anyone. Once the honeymoon is over they forget you exist. It is such bad Customer Service. You don't do customers this way.

We had hard water, wherein the water faucets were damaged to, and I had to replace a water heater. We found out that with the RainSoft system it would alleviate that. Since we got it, it made a whole lot of difference in our skin when taking a shower. And we got the drinking filters also. The consultant that came out was excellent. Our water system was acting up and we talked to Andersen Water, the people that we bought it from and they told us that the RainSoft system would help us immensely. The sales rep came to the house and took some samples, showed us what was available, tested our water and showed us what it would be like if we used their system. It was a good presentation and so we bought a water treatment system. It adds the chlorine to it and it has filters on. We also got the reverse osmosis set up for our kitchen. The installer was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. He did a nice job installing it and it was a good experience. Since then, our water is much softer, more soap in the showers and our drinking water has improved immensely. We're happy with the system and it's helping a lot.

When we were at Home Depot, someone approached us about RainSoft. The sales rep came and started explaining it and showing us how it works. Since I was already kind of interested, it just made me want it more seeing how it worked with my own eyes.
I bought the water softener and the water filter so now, we don’t buy bottled water. I use the water from the sink to cook and we also drink from it. And then, I've noticed that it makes my husband’s skin and mine a little softer. We were originally gonna have it installed in the garage, but when the guy came, it wasn't possible. He went into the attic and said he couldn't so, he had to go outside. I was here at home and I know something happened outside when he knocked on my door and told me that it was gonna take a little longer because he had to fix it. He was from 3:00 to 8:00.

The RainSoft rep who came out was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly. We got just the tank out in the garage and that's the water conditioning for the whole house. Now I get a little more soapsuds but what I'd like is to get the water a bit softer or raise the softness. I don't know how to do it myself and so I'll check Castroville first. Otherwise, everything else is fine. The rep was very good during the installation and everything was cleaned up after he left.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law came down and told me that I had the hardest water they had ever seen. They told me that I should get a water softener. I was in Home Depot with my son, so we looked at the display of about four different kinds that were there with no prices. A man came up and I asked what were the prices were because I had no clue on any of it and he did not know the prices but he had a representative come out. A fantastic man come out and talked to me. I was just gotten divorced and I rebought the house, so I don’t have a lot of money. He told me that I didn’t need a big water softener. He showed me the RainSoft Water Treatment System that he said would be perfect. Then, he showed me what my water was like and he’s really nice. He’s an honest man and I really like him.
I bought it that night, then the next day, another guy came out and put it in. He was fabulous. The only problem I had is the pipe has corroded and it covered the spring and it doesn’t come out fast. The installer fixed that for me in the kitchen but I didn’t ask how he did that it so easily. My bathroom faucet has the same issue and does not work as good as it was working the way the kitchen was before he put the spring on. But I’m sure it's just because we lived in the house for almost 30 years. I have never had soft water before and I love it.

I knew the water was bad when he showed up, but he did a good job convincing my wife which was good because we were not gonna make a big purchase without her approval. And then, we signed up. The approval process was easy. The next day, the guy showed up to install it and he was outstanding.
The installers showed up every morning and During the day, I would go out and check. I’m an Engineer so I’m curious and they were never bothered by me being there. They talked, I asked questions and they answered them. They were very pleasant. My interactions with them were fantastic. They explained to me the situation. Things slowed down a little bit because of the rocks and the things that they had to dig out though. By the time I walked out of Home Depot and picked up that water kit, I think it was less than a week to finish the install. Right away, we noticed the difference after the installation. The water was not hard anymore. My kids who came home from college and took a shower thought it was slime at first but it was that the hard particles aren’t there anymore. Now that they went back to school, they wanted to go back home and take a shower.

The salesperson explained what everything was and although he was a little high-pressure, he was not too bad. I felt a little pressured into buying in a way. I didn't like the price but the system works well. I got the water softener and an actual reverse-osmosis filter. Ever since then, I never stopped thinking about that which made me start thinking about our home water. My wife and I already had a discussion about wanting to get higher quality water. And my wife had gotten a card from RainSoft about free water testing. I also had experience with it through somebody I met through work. They had raved about it. And so, I was open to them coming.
I really enjoyed the rep that came out. He was very good. And their installation team was fantastic. They were polite and on time. Whenever we had a decision to make, they did a really good job of explaining the pros and cons of different placements of things and letting us make a decision without seeming like they were in too much of a rush. They were in and out in an hour and a half. They gave her a lot of information and my wife was very pleased with the experience. Our water is literally softer now. It feels smoother and silkier. and we're using a lot less detergent soaps. Also, we have already saved a bit of money on our propane bill because we've been able to turn our water heater down and a have a similar hot water level. My daughter had some problems with hard water and had some scale building up, and it's all over her appliances. I have a water softener at my home but it's not RainSoft, it's Culligan. She had both of them come out and she ended up going with RainSoft. Everything went great. The rep explained everything really well. My daughter, my wife and I were there when he explained everything and did the tests. And I was very impressed with it. My daughter liked that it's portable because where she's at right now, she doesn't know if she's gonna be there five years from now or not. But she knows she can take the system with her. Also, she has a good friend that is on his third house with the same system. She found out how it works and it's been doing well.
The RainSoft product she purchased was for the whole-house and it came with the reverse osmosis. She doesn't use them though. She's single and she doesn't use that much water. There were systems that were bigger than what she bought. But the one she has is more suited to her. The installation team was in and out and it was done in a little over an hour. They were fast and they knew what they were doing. My daughter lives off bottled water but she doesn't do that anymore. She gets it out of her own faucet now, which is good, and it saves her a bit of money. She really noticed that when taking showers, she feels a lot cleaner. It doesn't have that stickiness to her. I was very impressed with them. If I have to got through putting in my second system at my house, I would probably be doing a RainSoft system.

I was at Home Depot and a gentleman came by asking if we were interested with RainSoft so I signed up for an evaluation. I have the water softener and the under-sink alkaliner from RainSoft. There were two days of installation -- one for the under-sink and one for the outside. I found both set of installers to be very professional, polite and neat. That is very important because I don’t want to have to clean up after people.
I noticed a big difference since I had their system. For one thing, I don’t have to clean the spigots from the encrustation of all the calcium and deposits. We're also liking the soap and such products that were included as part of our deal. I've noticed that Home Depot needs to have a better quality of bags for its salt and to be very careful not to rip them. But other than that, I found RainSoft's presentation eye-opening. I wish that the final inspector had done the same water titration thing so that we could see the difference. This area is just about half a block away from an EPA Superfund cleanup site so it is very important to me to have good water considering the pipes run on the ground and that would contaminate the water. The RainSoft system is a good thing and I hope it lasts a good long time.

We've had it for two months and now things are clean, we have better usage of soap and we don’t see the water stains on the glass anymore. However, the system broke on me already. The center, which regenerates and attaches the water as the water flows through it to automatically fill it, stopped measuring the volume flowing through the system so the whole generation stopped on me. I had to get the technician to come out and fix that, which they did. RainSoft is a little pricey but it's a good product.

We never really even considered doing a whole home filtration system and so, we spoke to them. After the installation, the water quality has definitely improved. The only thing is--it's hard to find the salt I need to refill for the system. They told me I needed to fill the salt up every two months but they didn’t really tell me where to get the salt. I’ve done research on water quality and I was concerned with a lot of things that were in our water supply. I took a water sample and did a water quality test through Home Depot. They recommended RainSoft and I picked a sample off of the water coming through. I set up a consultation with their sales rep and it was excellent. He was a riot and a very friendly and nice man. He was extremely knowledgeable and a real character. In fact, he was a little bit of a celebrity in our area because he has been on television.
I bought the water softener with the charcoal filter and the reverse osmosis. I was a steam fitter so I prepped the site where the water softener was going to be. When RainSoft's guys came in, it was pretty simple for them to be able to connect into the system. On my part, it was very good because I was a little meticulous with the way things go. They did a good job with the installation and the guy interacted real well with me when we went through the training portion of the job.
Now the water quality’s 10 times better than it was before. We live in the northeast area so our water supply comes out of a pretty good water supply source. But the municipality puts a lot of chlorine in it. We don’t detect any of that chlorine any longer and with the reverse-osmosis, the taste of the water’s exceptionally good. We’re real happy with the effect it has on our laundry and on our bathing. And even the dogs have really benefited as well. I thank RainSoft for the great product and I can’t wait to see what it does with my grass.
I had a tiny leak that I noticed coming down on the side of the one canister but it never caused any puddling. I called the company then they came right out and took care of it immediately. And when the guy came in, he even put RainSoft's logos so they were pointing out and can be seen. It’s like in a trophy area, so it is visible to me, and I interact with that room quite a bit. For me that was a major thing. It makes it look all that much neater and I promote the product a bit because I’m happy with what we are getting from it. Also, I've been really thrilled with the amount of follow-up I got from them. I’m in the service business, so when I had one of the girls call me from Anderson just to make sure everything was okay and that we’re real happy with it, it meant a great deal to me that they cared that much about their product. It was awesome.

We just received our Rainsoft system and are so happy with it. We were all suffering from dry skin and hair, and our kids had dry, itchy and red spots and sometimes rashes on their skin from our hard water. After moving from the south to Columbus, Ohio, we soon realized that the water is much harder up here. I was trying every skin cream and hair product but nothing worked. Within a few days, all of our skin issues were 100% better. I know a lot of people who have basic water softeners and are still not happy with them.
The Rainsoft system is more expensive than one you would get at Lowe's, but we felt it was worth it. It does a lot more than just soften the water and has a lifetime warranty. We also got Clean Start, the system for your washer, and our clothes don't have the yellowing or fading anymore. It even reversed fading from some of our clothes. The sink drinking system provides the best water I've ever tasted and it has us drinking water all day instead of Coke! Our installation and customer service was excellent as well. I feel great knowing we chose a product that is top of the line for our family's health and well being!

I went to Home Depot and I did one of the free water testings. I got a call from Rainsoft or from the Home Depot reps and they said they wanted to come and test our water and they’ll give us a gift card if we let them come. They came and did their whole speech. The rep that came to the house was a really nice guy and he really knew what he was talking about as far as the water and cleaning. The real thing that pushed us over to actually getting it was the water test. He tested the water and showed us whatever was going on and compared it. I have a wife and a kid in the house, so I figured, why not protect them? They’re from Colorado so they’re not used to the water out here being not potable all the time and not drinkable. They drink out of the sinks in Colorado. But here, it’s a little different. Just seeing how dirty the water compared to how clean it could be was a no-brainer.
Rainsoft was very good with the scheduling and they worked around everything. The tech that came out to install everything was super nice and super friendly. He knew what he was talking about and he answered all the questions I had. He worked around the house and he didn’t walk around the house so he didn’t track any dirt in. He cleaned up his job site and made everything presentable and didn’t leave a mess. All around, the scheduling and the actual installation were a breeze.
The differences in the water since having the system installed have been very good. I’m an amateur bodybuilder, so I drink a gallon or two a day. I used to buy six or seven gallons of water for the week and funny enough, when I told the gentleman that and I didn’t realize till he was doing the water test, I didn’t have any water. I told him that I’m grown-up and I can drink out of the sink. I then asked what was the worst that was gonna happen. I drank about a gallon and a quarter over two different days and my teeth were hurting. I felt a bit sick and didn’t feel really good. I never really knew what it was. I went back to buying and drinking my own water. And when we tested it, I realized that I was low-level grade poisoning myself with my water.
Now, all I drink is the water out of the sink. My son has eczema and it has cleared up a lot because the hard water is not hitting him in the shower anymore. And same with my wife, she has some skin issues on her face, a little bit of acne here and there. She says that Rainsoft helped out significantly in keeping her face clean. It always trips us out when we’re in the shower washing and we feel like we can’t wash the soap off because the water is so clean. It’s always funny and hilarious. I’m sitting there and asking myself, “Why am I still soapy?” I can’t feel anything. The only negative was the rep’s way of explaining the benefits and programs as far as the Americana, but they already fixed that for me.

I knew I had a problem and I had spoken with a couple of people but she and her organization followed through. I had decided before she got here that I really wanted to see the presentation. I was curious, but her presentation was beyond dynamic and I was resistant at first. How she conducted herself was very professional. She mentioned the air purifier, but she didn’t push it. She did a marvelous presentation and she shared a lot of information.
My husband and I began to discuss it. I had seen some prices and the prices were expensive for what we had spent in Florida but we didn’t have the same problems in Florida. What she told us was wonderful. They did it the next day and the quality of the people that did the installation was every bit as high as her. There were three gentlemen and one did part of the air. They worked together so marvelously. There was another, Mike, who said that he looked at the situation he was gonna deal with. He told someone and he made a list of what to get. They worked quietly and efficiently. They respected my home, my carpeting, and my floor like it was their own, so the installation went extremely smoothly. They were professional and they worked like nobody I had ever seen. About a week later, I called and said that my husband and I heard something dinging. They were here in less than an hour and they were all over places.
RainSoft is a superior product. I met a lady in Lowe’s and we talked about the water and she said hers is terrible. I also said that I have never seen anybody work as wonderfully and that I would trust them. It's been a couple of months and I'm totally shocked that everything they said was true and then a bit more. I asked for the lady’s name and gave RainSoft a call and they said they would have someone. When the RainSoft team installed the system, I wasn't there, but my wife was and she kept calling me because the guys wanted to take the easy way out on their installation. I have an unfinished basement and they were very insistent on where they wanted to put the water filter system which was going to be in the way when I finish the basement. I have a utility room in the basement for the water heater, furnace, and that’s where I wanted all the filter system to be. Eventually, they ended up just doing it and put it in there. I didn’t appreciate that they argued with me about where they wanted to put it. If I were home, it would have been a whole different story. I probably would've let them out of the house.
Moreover, I wasn't a big fan of the system. It took a month for it to stop burping air. I also do not believe these guys know how pressure and flow work because they’d choke everything down so far that the water coming out of the refrigerator has no pressure. So, it takes a minute and a half to fill up a glass of water. Nevertheless, the sales representative did well, I feel the product isn’t equal to the sales pitch. I could not get the soap off of my hands when I take a shower but they would say it's because the water is soft. I can literally wipe my hands off in the shower, scrub them good, and then I'll take them out of the water and I'll rub them together and they'll set up. It's not just the water being soft, I know that there's still soap on my hands. That right there is very disappointing.

For a minute I had to reschedule when they're coming out, but then we finally figured it out so they’re able to come out. The person who then installed the system went through and told me how to operate it, in case the light comes on and the light goes off and how it runs off on the cold water for my washer. He also told us that our faucet water was for drinking and cooking and then the other one was still filtered. I noticed a big difference in a lot of stuff since I got the system. Many years ago, friends of ours got RainSoft and were eloquent over how much they loved it. They talked about how much everything improved. You didn't need nearly as much detergent. Your water bills went down because the water was softer. There was no buildup in pipes. Your clothes last a lot longer and feel better being cleaned in soft water. The things they were telling us all sounded good and that convinced us that we should get it.
The reps were very nice and helpful. They installed it well when it was first put in. The only downside was the original tank stopped working. The person that came in said that they can either replace the whole thing, which is over $1,000, or have a less expensive one they can put it. Over $1,000 wasn't in our budget, so we took the less expensive one. It lasted less than two years, which made it not really cost-effective. When I had to get it replaced again and complained to another guy, he said that part of it was still good and I didn't really need to replace it. They could give me a second tank, which would last a lot longer and I'd have two tanks instead of one. He said that will take care of the problem. It was a lot less expensive and it did last a lot longer.
The only other negative was that one guy who serviced it turned off the water, pushed the rod that disabled the RainSoft and never pushed it back on again. It went a whole year not knowing that. Their servicemen should know how to make sure that everything is back to the way it was so it's really working again. But most of the servicemen that had come in had been really nice. The last guy was the nicest and I liked him the best. He had been around the most and was the most laid-back, knowledgeable, and nothing fazes him.
After we had RainSoft installed, when you bathe yourself, it's a much cleaner experience. I had washed my hair and went to my hairdresser to get a haircut. She was astounded and kept saying that my hair is so shiny. Moreover, now, we use only a fraction of the soap and shampoo so we definitely get savings there. However, it takes years to break even from what it had cost. I also had them put an extra filter for my drinking water because I drink water almost exclusively. My coffee tastes way better when using soft water. I have recommended RainSoft a couple of times.

Product I have no complaints, customer service I give 1 star - First off, I have had the system for just under 3 years now. I guess I should have written this a little earlier but the product is great. Little expensive but does everything I was told it would do. Manager was supposed to install my system but after being rescheduled due to "being busy", tech arrived with product. He was very nice and installed the system. About 3 months after install, salt tank overflowed due to incorrect install (my fault for not checking periodically). Long story short, damaged some of the drywall and wood doors on the bottom where water sat and soaked into. Called the manager of the RainSoft where I am located and it was like pulling teeth for them to get someone to come "look" at the damage.
Had a different install tech correct the faulty hoses. Manager NEVER came to look and make sure I was taken care of. Did about HALF of the repairs. Just felt like once they sold me the product I was not important. I am going to have them come uninstall it from current house and move to new house and hope I have no issues with that! Thought I would just warn you to CHECK THE INSTALL. Hope your experience is better than mine! Once again, product is great!

After they show up at your house and pit on their grand show and sign you up for service, that's where the customer service stops. They lie to you at every turn and feed you half truths. Before you get the system installed in your home the founder gives you a call and speaks highly of the things they provide. After that you can't even get a call back for your concerns. I have been waiting for one for the last 4 to 5 months and the Secretary blows you off every chance she can.
My system broke and they had the nerve to charge me after telling me over the phone that I had lifetime warranty. The system leaks and they have been coming back and forth to my house to fix major issues and still have yet to fix the problems. Oh yeah I won't mention the hidden service fee they toss in after a year. 300 dollar charge for yearly service that is mandatory. The system sounds like it will explode at any second in my garage because it shut down because of a faulty part that they knew about but couldn't take 5 minutes out of their day to notify their customers so that when our systems break down we are well aware. Customer service is non-existent unless it involves taking your money.

I bought a filter 2-1-2018. I called OKC, OK. February 15 about a leak. I talk to someone at 405-684 -9370. She told me she would there tell plumber. I took it that someone would be there 2-15, I called there at 10:00 am that morning. Their plumber call and wanted picture of the problem. They got one, I called later that day it was leaking at the brass fitting on the filter. She said ok. They would tell the plumber. I got the number of the plumber and call. No answer. No show up that day. I call 2-16-18. She "Oh you have to call the plumber" so I ask her why they needed a picture. She had told me, "Because they do not have parts on their truck."
I proceed to tell that's my first indication. That's something wrong. They did not have the parts on their truck when came out to install it. They had everything that truck. I call them 2-16. No answer. Left message. Haven't heard nothing. It leaking! In my well house! Now if they don't come out 'til Monday I want my cash back and take it out! IF IT'S SHADY WORK THAT MEANS IT NOT NO GOOD AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. AND I AM NOT CALLING THEM AGAIN!!!

We found RainSoft at Home Depot. We definitely had hard water, we just weren’t sure which system to go with. The reviews for RainSoft were great so we decided to go with them. The sales guy was very nice but there was incorrect information given. First we were told there would be free soap and cleaning products for life. We were supposed to get one box each year with a year's supply of cleaning products as part of our package. When we ran out of our first package, no second package was sent, when we called to ask, we were then told we only get packages when we refer someone to get a system. That was a BIG selling point and one of the reasons we agreed to pay nearly $5,000 for the system, but of course there we were a year later, so out of luck for us.
Second we were told there was a lifetime guarantee and warranty on all parts and labor, for any defects not related to owner at fault damages, as long as we always contact RainSoft directly and they are the only ones who maintain the system. Wrong again. We had the system for about 7 or 8 years without issue until suddenly and for no reason, the under the counter unit rusted out! Of course it leaked like crazy when this happened and nearly ruined my wood floors! The unit was never touched or moved in any way and was completely untampered with in any way. I called RainSoft thinking it wouldn’t be an issue and got sent on a wild goose chase of third party repair and maintenance companies. The hold times, transfers and leaving messages without calls returned were unbelievable.
Finally when I was able to get a hold of someone who could “Help” me, I was informed it would be $100 just for someone to come out and look at my rusted unit (even though I had a full description with pictures) and I would be responsible for ALL replacement costs. I gave up. We just detached and bypassed the unit to prevent further damage from leaks. I have four children ages four and under and don’t have time to argue with and chase people. I was beyond disappointed to waste nearly $5,000 when money is so tight. I wouldn’t recommend Rain Soft to anyone. Even for a free box of soap!

Thank you for contacting us about your dissatisfaction with your local dealer service. We will be contacting them to look into this further.

We’re very happy with the RainSoft system. Prior having it, our water smelled like chlorine and I didn’t like it. At the time my son worked for the company that installed it and we had heard him talk about it. He was the one that came out and did the demonstration. We got the thing that goes with the washer and the softening system that’s out in the garage. There were a few things that changed about how the installers would have normally done the installation, but we didn’t have any issues with it and it worked out fine.

We live close to a rocky place and we wanted our water conditioned and filtered. We’ve known about RainSoft for a long time and we had their system before but it was so old and they couldn’t even repair it anymore. Since we couldn’t afford to buy the new system at that time, we discontinued it. Then we finally bought a new system. We told the rep what we wanted and got the basic system. It works better than our previous one. I would recommend RainSoft to anybody.

To start, the products Rain Soft sells are truly amazing. In fact, I believe they sell themselves. It's definitely an investment not only for your home but also for your health. I'm not one to do reviews often but I feel like this one is important. My average review (2/5 stars) is not really reflective upon the product (Water Softener AMT75CV) itself but moreover it's about the workmanship. Unfortunately after the great demo, and great negotiation in pricing terms/conditions, Rainsoft completely dropped the ball on the installation. To start, the installation took nearly double the amount of time it should've (not really that big of a deal). I get, things happen and it's easy to lose track of time. Our installer for the most part was a nice guy but he really wasn't being thorough through the installation process. His lack of attention caused him drill unnecessary hole through the cinderblock of the garage which wasn't filled.
Next, he drilled a second hole to run the black drain pipe out of which chipped the exterior stucco significantly. The black drain pipe was then fed through that hole and left dangling sloppily outside of the house. Lastly, upon removing our old outdate water softener system he decided to dump the old salt from that old system onto the street. Now he assured is that it would dissolve quickly with water so upon his reassurance I was ok with it. Needless to say, that salt hasn't dissolved yet. Of course, I brought all these issues up to the follow up representative from Rain Soft who came to inspect the installation and although he was fairly new to the company he said he'd never seen anything like this. He assured me that this matter would be fixed quickly and that the work order would be escalated. Unfortunately his version of quickly isn't all that quick after-all.
So finally, I've decided to write this review. Perhaps the pictures combined with this note will grab their attention a bit more. Moral of the story is... if you're going to pay top dollar for a great product you'd hope to have a much better installation process and an even more prompt response process. To all of you out there reading this, I certainly hope you don't experience this process but rather enjoy the softener for the great product it is.

This is the first bad review I have ever written on any company. My husband and I purchased a Rainsoft system in 2013, paid $8,000 for this system and they have been out numerous times to service this system, but my complaint is for the last 6 months. It has ran our water bills up saying the two of us have used 17,000 gallons of water. They will come out and replace the seals or reset something on it and before we know it we get another huge water bill. It's like buying a lemon for a car. I feel like for this kind of money, they should replace our machine, to make it right.
The machine is paid off, but I can't get them to do anything so please think hard if you are considering purchasing from Rainsoft, because they do not stand behind their machines, once they sell them. Not only do we have a machine that won't work but we also have been out excess money on water bills, so as I write this complaint we are having to bathe in strong chlorine water after spending $8,000 on a water purifying system!!!! Very angry about this situation!!!

They send us a card that was almost like a threat. I called and it was them. Haha. Home Depot dropped them a month after we got it. They said they had bad service. But the water was good in the beginning. We have had the system almost 3 1/2 years.

Bought system in August of 2017. Installer didn't want to put system in crawled space. Said he didn't want to have us get in crawl to change filters. He installed it on an outside wall. I ask him how do you keep it from freezing, since all he did was place batt insulation around system in small storage shed that he furnished. I was told to not worry about it as this is their approved process. Being a retired engineer I again asked how do you keep the water from freezing without a heat source, and again I am told to not worry about it.
Well, as you can guess, 12/31/17 night the system froze up and I had to get plumber to unthaw New Year's Day. Ask Rainsoft to pay plumbers bill of $280.00. Randy of Huntsville branch said I should have had enough common sense to run water when it gets that cold. I would have run water if me and my wife had not been told "don't worry about it". I have just had my crawl space heated so I don't have to worry about running water when it gets cold. We feel that Rainsoft should pay plumbers bill, since we were told not to worry about it and that is exactly what we did, follow their instructions.

We've just moved into a newly built house, and the water we have has a weird odor and tasted like fertilizer or like it has chemicals in it. It was really hard water. We’ve been living there for two weeks and we already have spots on our chrome and bathroom shower. It was bad. We also have three dogs and we don't want them drinking something like that. I was literally taking gallon jugs of water from my work to home so I had something to drink. Then I grabbed one of the water tester things at Home Depot, submitted that, and we got the call from the RainSoft dealer that they’d come out to do a further evaluation of our water.
The guy who came was very friendly, informative, and wasn't pushy. We got the conditioning system which has two tall cylinder things and one of them is the salt, the reconditioned for hard water and filtering. The installer was also really nice, courteous, and he worked quickly and quietly. Now, our hard water issue is gone and the drinking water is great. Out of all the stuff we bought for the house, the RainSoft system has been so far the best investment that we've made. The overall experience with everything we've gone through was really seamless and easy. I would highly recommend them.

We've had RainSoft for years and we like the system but we're not happy with the service. We had really bad experiences for getting the system reinstated. The water was smelly and yellow, and the people at Rainsoft had to keep coming out. My husband almost had the system taken out. We were going to Pelican so RainSoft's lucky we stayed with them which was only through my tolerance of the situation.
When the salespeople came out to our house, a guy said we needed to redo the carbon padding and if we do it within 30 days, they wouldn't charge us a house service fee. But the boss here in Denver is not a very nice guy and when they came to do the job, he said we had to have that in writing. I told him to ask the first guy if that was what he said. The guy was there and he confirmed it. So they took it off the bill but they were sure nasty about it. They went through all my invoices and I paid $3,000 to have it all redone, updated and fixed, and I didn't appreciate being treated like that. We've got the system fixed now and hopefully it'll last. But next time, I know to put everything in writing. I'm also going to tape record everything they say because the boss doesn't back up what his people say.

We had a really strong chlorine smell because of the water treatment for our subdivision and we have really heavy calcium in our water. Consultation with RainSoft’s sales rep went very easily and they were very flexible, and the interaction with the sales agent that came was very positive and down-to-earth. They discussed the facts of the system, what it'll do and what it won't do. It was very straightforward. They also discussed what the system is, the base cost and the things that you get with it so that was appealing in the way that it was done. I purchased the RO system that's underneath the sink. On the house, it has the charcoal filter and like the Amazon indoor so there's charcoal filter and the resin is inside the garage. Also, on the washer and dryer, it has the Ozonator.
The installation team was very good and our interaction was extremely positive. They were self-contained. I called them out and they showed up when they said they would show up, which is a big plus these days. They had everything they needed and got installation done. We had one small leak on the sink from a connection and they came right back out again at a convenient time, and it was repaired efficiently. RainSoft’s one of those companies that ends up surprising you at the end of the day. They go out of their way to help.

Josh, the sales rep, came out and demonstrated the system to me and I told him he was preaching to the choir. My daughter has one kidney and I have kidney problems so we need to be extremely careful with the water. Rather than risk it, we just decided to go ahead and have it installed immediately. After I bought the house, I had the RainSoft put in.
The installers were just as good as they could be. It was a gentleman and his helper and they were very efficient and very courteous. Since installing the system, using the soap has been really nice. It really lathers up and does its job. The water also tastes different. It has really been better and more palatable. I can’t even drink water at the restaurant now. Sometimes, in restaurants, I can smell the difference of the water. I don’t smoke and I never have so my sense of smell is really keen and if I can smell it, I'm not gonna drink it. I have to get either some kind of soft drink or tea.

Our water smelled terrible like rotten eggs and we heard about RainSoft through my brother in-law. Then I had a good experience during the consultation with RainSoft. The sales rep was informative, told us everything that we needed to know and answered our questions. We got the iron filter, the softener and the reverse osmosis drinking water. The installation went well considering what they were working on. We had a trailer and had a few little odd connections here and there and caused them to go make a couple of extra trips down to the hardware store 10 miles away or so. But it wasn’t any problem with the installer as far as whining and crying about having to do anything extra. Both the iron filter and the water softener had issues after and when we came back from Georgia there was always a sound of water running in the drain.
I looked in the brine tank and it was about up to the top of the brine tank with water and I only had maybe less than a half bag of salt in it. So, I had to call Jared and he talked to me over the phone. I mentioned that the water was running and he said, “Well I’m glad you said that. I’m going to have to come out and look at that.” So he said, “Turn it off, bypass it and I’ll be out there as soon as I can.” I had to call and make the appointment so he could because he was all filled up with installations and other things. And so he came out and there were items on the iron filter. It was something that came that way or something got dislodged. The spring or something moved inside so he took it all apart, dried it, cleaned it and put it back together. The spring went down a little further into a pocket than what it was when we took it apart so he thought that might have been it.
He ended up taking the other one apart on the RainSoft unit because he wasn’t able to get the water out of the brine tank by resetting it and making it run through a cycle. The water was still running so when he called the company, they said, “Well, give it just a little bit more time and it should stop running.” It drizzled for another minute or so after we shut it off and then it stopped. We figured that was the issue. It took longer than what we thought it should to stop running the water but it was okay. But he checked the inside of that and reset a couple of things and everything has been good since. RainSoft had taken care of all the problems we had so far. Everything with the installation and the sales is a little pricier than what you expect sometimes but if everything turns out right, it’s worth it in the long run. I would recommend RainSoft for those with bad smelling water.
I still got a pre-filter on that I’ve had all the time where the water comes right into the house by the pump entrance. I change that once a month and that’s normally reddish color and so I figure he had concurred me to leave that in there to pre-filter everything else and that might make everything else last just a few years longer by filtering some of the water before it goes into the equipment.
I also got just one thing I’m concerned about that’s kind of a hustle. They gave me what they advertised as a $25 gift certificate but in order to get this I have to go to this website which is evidently restaurant.com and purchase these restaurant things in $10 or $15 increments, some are $25. So there was only $10 discount on them but then they ran out of them and then I have to go back and try to get them again. It just seems like a $25 Visa card to do anything I want would be a whole lot simpler. Because I got to keep going back to check see if there's a restaurant that’s close enough by to make it worthwhile.
I don’t want to spend $20 in gas to save $10 on a coupon. It's like driving 20 miles to save a penny on gas. You burn up your savings in the first mile. So that was my only basic beef with the whole operation. Maybe something could be done about that because they just seems to be a lot of rigmarole to go through. It just seems kind of a pain in the neck just to get $25 off on a dinner on something. No doubt I appreciate the $25 but if you got to work that hard at it, it just kind of discourages some people. But they’re welcome if they want to send $25 gift certificate to us. That would be nice.

We've always been buying bottled water but we wanted to stop and get a filtration system in place. So we purchased the basic water treatment system from RainSoft. It’s the one that goes under the sink. First, I asked the sales rep some questions about the system and pricing, and how things were, to understand the whole process first. And then I said, "Yes, let's get someone out here and check my water and go through what needs to take place if I want to purchase it." It was very easy.
The sales agent who came out was very good. He knew what he was talking about so all my questions were answered and he looked very knowledgeable about the product and how things work. The installers came out and did the installation for me. It was good. He came over, installed it, showed me how it works, and showed me how to replace the filter if I needed to. He explained it very well and had no complaints there. He was fairly quick as well. My experience with RainSoft was definitely positive and I'm happy with my product.

We bought a house that has well water so it would be best that we treated that water as properly as possible. I filled something out online and then I got a confirmation that someone was going to come and do a sales pitch. It was pretty smooth and it went well, but we were already leaning towards getting the Rainsoft system because I did a bunch of research and I was looking at other systems. With the rate of having to change the filters and general upkeep, somehow I saw Rainsoft just to be the best one. Also, learning about some of the different technology that's used with those systems, they used some of the advanced systems. I was pretty impressed with them. It was an easy sell for the salesman but he was great. He went over it with me, broke down the process and explained it in detail for us.
We paid the system in full. It was a little bit off for doing a few extra things like putting the sign up and being flexible on our install, but they chipped away a little bit from the price for us. Also, the install people were great and they accommodated my schedule. They came in and it took them about an hour roughly, pretty quick. Their installers cleaned everything up so fast. After the install, they explained everything. They even went down to the basement with me and we went over a few things with the system itself. Since the installation of the system, there is a very clear and blatant difference between the old filter and the new system. The system was definitely very expensive, which is a huge drawback, but I love it.
There are other systems that attempt to do the same thing. We probably could have saved $4,000 by using a less expensive system. But again, it's just not wanting to do with the maintenance and all that, so we went ahead and went for RainSoft. But it was phenomenal, and I would have bought it anyway. Overall, the RainSoft customer service was on point and we had them come out for several checks for us. Their agents were super great.

One of the RainSoft reps was coming door-to-door and we let him come in and test our waters out. We realized instantly that we need their system because we have city water and it grossed us out on what we've been bathing in. The consultation was really comfortable. It didn't feel awkward having a complete stranger in our house. The sales rep seemed like he knew what he was doing. He was telling us what stuff he would be putting into the water to show us how dirty our water was. He was really professional. He knows what he can do with all of the little gadgets he had.
One thing that we got to experience when the sales rep came to our door at first was to introduce us to what the water is or not. He had us wash our hands with our water at first. Our hands didn't feel as clean and then we did with the water that he had. With the soft water, our hands felt so moisturized. They feel squeaky clean but not dried out.
Our son has a mast cell disease in his outer pigment of skin so the presentation was an eye-opener making us think, "Oh my God. Our kid is in harm with the water." It was kind of scary. But we don't drink out of it, we know better. We used to live in Louisiana and that was brown water. We've always had a Brita filter even for our dogs as well. They don't drink out of the faucet. That whole experience of him showing us, testing all the waters and showing us that our clothes and towels aren't really getting washed made us think. They still have soap in them and when he did it with his water it came out clear water. We bought the whole house system and we put it in our garage because that was the only room that we had. But they also gave us a whole lifetime of different soap and detergent once we signed on so that’s a huge money saver as well.
At first, when the installers came, they went to see if they could put the thing in the garage because we weren't approved yet. But I thought, "Why are they digging holes in our yard." I was thinking, they better fill that out. Other than that, once we got approved, we thought it was a good thing. They had to see where our water line was. I didn't realize how big it was. The installers have been really courteous. They didn't rush you like some people would. The installation also went really well. Since the installation of the system, the clothes smell a lot more fresh, especially the towels. Having the system is the best thing to do. Especially in the inner states like Louisiana and we live in Texas so the water is not all that great to drink out of. To know what's in the water is crazy. RainSoft is definitely a good investment especially when you have children.

I started scheduling regular visits with Rainsoft and eventually, they needed to replace some parts. Rainsoft put in a brand-new filtration system for my home and replaced some things outside a couple of months ago. They were very friendly, helpful and reliable. One of the managers, his name is Rick, went above and beyond and was able to secure for me a longer 0% financing from Home Depot. Rainsoft has been really good and any time they've had to come out and adjust or fix something, they've been able to do that with no additional costs sometimes. Now we have good quality water coming into the house.

We picked up a free water test kit when we went to Home Depot, and had it sent in. Then a representative called us and came over to the house. Our water is actually from a well so we decided to have it tested and it came back with pretty high levels of contaminants. The sales rep was very friendly and professional. He set up a whole mini-laboratory here in the kitchen and analyzed everything, and he showed us what we needed and what we should get. He was very good and helpful, and he steered us in the right direction. He was also very knowledgeable and he seemed to have done that quite often before. We got a Pentair water purification system model RO-2550, and it's under the kitchen sink that’s for drinking water. The system is in the basement and it also filters the whole house for contaminants.
The installation team has been wonderful and we've had them out several times because the unit was making a whistling sound, like if you put a blade of grass between your thumbs and blow sound. RainSoft sent one repairman out and he replaced the part, but that didn't function. So, they sent another repairman who diagnosed it, but he did not have another part. The third time they came out, they replaced all that’s there and they did their magic, and it hasn't made any sound since and it's functioning well. Since the installation, the water quality has been good. This is also a salt type system like the one that we had before, but that was of a different nature and the water had a slimy feel to it. Everything's out of the water and it's great.
We bought a hydrometer for testing periodically and I tested the water once since that date. That says it's good water, so I'm not complaining. However, there was a misrepresentation by the first man that came out. He said our ice cubes are milky and cloudy, and when you go to a good restaurant, you get those absolutely crystal diamond ice cubes. He said this purification system would give us that because the contaminants are out of the water. Now we tested the water again, myself included, and the water is very good, yet the ice cubes are not what the salesman promised. That's not a make or break but that was kind of a misleading statement. Nevertheless, we're very satisfied and the animals are happy. They can drink the water now and we don't have to buy a bottle of water for them. I'd recommend RainSoft.

I was always concerned about the quality of our water. When I pour it on a glass I could see the hard water spots. My parents used RainSoft for several years. And when we went into Home Depot we got a water test kit, which got them to come out to our house. As soon as we got the test and found out we did have hard water we were very eager to get the system in place.
We both work during the day and their reps were able to come over in the evening after we were off of work so that worked really great for us. They were knowledgeable and they did a good job at demonstrating the different products and explaining the services that they had. It was a very good experience and we were happy with it. We got a water softener and a reverse osmosis water filtration system in our main sink in the kitchen, which we use for our drinking water or cooking, etc.
Rainsoft sent an installation team and they had a little bit of issue with the wiring -- how our house was built and how things were placed. But they were able to work around everything and it didn't take too long. They were here when they said they were going to be here and after they left everything was up and running. The water definitely tastes better when we drink it out of the RO filter and showering with a soft water feels a little bit better. It gets the soap out of your hair, for example, a little bit better. The experience has been convenient. I don't want to say luxurious but if you can afford the services it's nice to have.
On top of everything else I really appreciated the initial soap discounts that they gave us. There was a website that they gave us where they gave us so many points to use that translated to kind of free money on the website. I've since used all of it. I purchased all the soap products that they had and I love them so much that I've actually continued using that website and paying my own money for it.

Our water here is very hard. We contracted with RainSoft 17 years ago. We have the soft water system, as well as the reverse osmosis for drinking water. A couple of months ago, I had the equipment upgraded. I also had routine maintenance being done at the same time. Their reps scheduled the service appointment and they were very pleasant. Their technician was exceptionally good and I appreciate it when he's the person who is doing the service. He has a wealth of experience and familiarity with the equipment and is very congenial and helpful. The system is working fine and that's why we've stuck with them all these years. RainSoft has been responsive and capable.

The water seemed to be a little bit on the hard side and I wanted to see about softening it up a little bit so I researched about treatment systems. I called up RainSoft and agreed with a rep on the time and they’d come out. He explained everything to me and my wife, and then set up appointment to install everything. It seemed like he knew everything about the product. He’s really good. I got a thing that goes under the sink that softens that water there on the sink. I also got a thing that’s built outside that softens all the water in the house. And then I got a thing that fits on my furnace and takes the germs out there. One guy did all the installation. He got here about 9:00 in the morning and finished up about 4:00 in the afternoon. And everything went good. The water is softer now and doesn’t have any funny taste. So far, I'm satisfied but the system is expensive though.

My husband was in Home Depot and he found some information about RainSoft. We had been worried about our water for quite a long time. We didn't know quite what to do about it. They said a sales rep could come out and talk to us about it and he gave us a demonstration. The sales rep was an older guy and he was very nice. He tested our water and showed us that it wasn't really that good. He did well on the demonstrations, but my husband didn't like to make decisions in one day so it took us about a month to really think about this. He is an engineer, and he was scared of making the wrong decision as it was just too expensive for us. Then, the store manager called him back and said there were other options.
The sales rep tried to sell us all this laundry detergent and my husband didn't think we can afford all that so, we just got the system that just filters out the water put in our garage. We got something a little bit less expensive that my husband thought would be good and we love the water ever since. The installer did a really good job of putting it in our garage and he was very friendly, nice and efficient. My daughter has autism, which means her immune system is really bad. We had noticed that she was itching after showers and all that is gone after the system was installed. It was an excellent experience.

Company failed to disclose necessary information about upkeep expense of equipment, expiration date of points for `free household supplies'. Cost of buying salt crystals is more expensive than H20 we were purchasing. Did not supply written info about having mandatory praise letter recommending system (and provide list of friends' names and #s) PRIOR to getting membership for household items. Was lied to about being able to get name brand products my family used. After several months, the water still had rings around toilet. Here we are 5 years later OUT of our $$$, unused points expired and stuck with a system that is not financially beneficial nor cleaning water as informed. There should be a class action lawsuit against this company. If I find out how to start/join class action lawsuit, I will begin/join one.

The bad taste of the city tap water made us interested in water treatment systems. The consultation with the RainSoft sales rep was excellent. He was very helpful and informative. He showed us some bottled water that came back bad with the high readings. Not only our tap water, some bottled water was as bad as our tap water. Then he showed us how the suds will last longer and it won’t take as much product for a soap than it will with the tap water. We bought the unit that goes underneath the sink for the individual drinking water and the whole house system. The installer did the job in a couple of hours and he was very informative. He let me know what he was doing and what to expect. I love the system and I have no regrets buying it.

We were buying sparkly bottled water. My husband heard of RainSoft and did some research on it. The sales rep was very cooperative and broke the parts down to us, so he was great. We understood everything he said and got a lot of information from it. He is the one man who answered all the questions and my daughter had a little input. We were shown that there were little particles in our water and, for me, it’s safer to buy the RainSoft water so we went with them. We probably would have been with it a long time ago, but we had second doubts.
We got a home unit and a guy came out to set the system up. It took him almost half a day but he was great and very knowledgeable. Plus, he took the junk with him. We also purchased quite a bit of stuff for personal and dishwashing cleansing. The drinking water is definitely different as well as the bath water. It’s very soft and I don't see buildup. I would let someone else know about the product and the person who came out because he was very nice and knowledgeable and listened to what I had to say. Both guys were excellent.

We recently moved and had business with RainSoft again. Our technician, Marick, did a really good job when he removed the system from the old house and then installed it a few days later in the new house. He was very helpful, professional and answered any questions that we had. With RainSoft, the water is softer and we've been fairly healthy over the years because of it. We won't do without it now. We had the bacteria light replaced annually in the past, but we were told we don't need it anymore because we're on the municipal water. So, there has been no maintenance other than replenishing the salt. RainSoft is the best system around for clean and healthy water.

There was no pressure to buy it, but after seeing the quality of our water, we decided to go with their EC4 and Reverse Osmosis system. The installers put the filters of our Reverse Osmosis System in the wrong order, so we had them come out to look at it. We kept getting letters from the water company where they’ve added something and the water is getting better but I cannot stand to drink chlorine water. So we have had several little drinking water filters throughout the years because I drink water all the time instead of buying bottled water. We’ve always been very concerned because this area has got so much cancer and our water all comes from the Green River. We have a son-in-law that’s a nurse and works at the hospital and he deals with patients and cancer every day. He said he has had different scientists that had come to the hospital who said that it’s got to be from the water source.
I signed up for a water sample at Home Depot and RainSoft called me. Their sales rep showed us what our water looked like and as soon as he got done there and put that stuff in the water to show us what was in the water, I said that I'm not drinking another bottle of that water. It was awful. We purchased the upper-grade whole house system where it goes for 15 years before we have to replace it. It’s got a double tank.
My husband has psoriasis really bad on his legs. It helped to clear it up good within about 10 days. But the other day, he had a bad breakout again, though. He uses that water every day and they told that we wouldn’t have to put medicine on there, but his legs all broke out. I was a little bit disappointed in that part because they said he wouldn’t have any more problems. Also, with drinking the alkaline water, they said that he shouldn’t have to take his medicine all the time to keep his stomach problems down. I tried going a week without his medicine and he got an awful heartburn so I had to put him back on and I'm scared to take him off again because I don’t want him to get sick like he did.

The installation was fantastic, very quickly done, and detailed. The work was very neat. Then Adam re-demonstrated the same thing Ash did to convince us that the system was still working and that follow-up was good.
However, there's one issue when the filters have to be changed. There are three filters and two have to be changed every year while the third one after the third year. It is not a very difficult job and I can do it myself but then I need a wrench or a special instrument to open up the thing. They're charging me $100 for one visit. When I complained about that, I was told that I have to come to Mississauga to get the little demonstration so that I could do it myself. That’s an overkill by the organization. They got the system installed and with their margins, it should be automatic for somebody to do it every year. In spite of that, I've already recommended three of my friends to them. But during the installation, the plumbers who came out were a little messy with my yard and they could have done a better job. There was an outdoor faucet in the front and one in the back, and they gave me the wrong information as to which one was through the system and which one wasn’t so I was watering my plants with the wrong one. They were also supposed to put in another faucet in the back that wasn’t going through the filtration system and they didn’t.
The gentleman who tested the water told me that both of the faucets were going through the system but when I had someone else come back out, I was told that one was regular water and the other one was going through the filtration system so there was a lot of confusion. Everything went very well and we've always been very pleased with it. We live in Longmont, Colorado and the water here in Longmont has always been excellent water. But, the one thing that we noticed the most was the softness of our water after the first installation. Our water was softer and there wasn't any more of an aroma of the chemicals that they put in the water for those purposes. That's always been gone right away. We had a separate little tap on the sink for drinking purposes which was great.
They came out several months ago and they put in new filters underneath our sink. The filters were there for our drinking water and unfortunately, our system was so old that they didn’t carry the filters anymore for it. So, they put in a whole system for us. The one thing they did that I didn't like was putting in the water system in the living room. They had an air return vent cover it up but still the water coming into the house was not really convenient. And when they put the thing back they raised it rather than putting it at a level with the floor where it originally was. Fortunately I've got furniture to cover it up. Other than that I'd like them to follow up with the water testing like six months or one year or something of that nature. While I'm sure it's fine I'd like it to be where I can verify what I think so that I would know it is actually true.
