My experience with RainSoft has been great. Their sales rep was very helpful and he explained everything. He did a great job. The guy who installed my system was very professional too. We've had the system in place since around July and there has been a big difference. The water is softer and it tastes a lot better.

We have impure water coming out of the well, and because of that, we purchased a water softener, UV, and some kind of a pre-filter from RainSoft. The sales rep that we dealt with was cordial and professional, and then the installation also went great. I really appreciate the care that they took with the home. They really did a noble job to take care of things like I would want them taken care of, as opposed to somebody just coming in to do a job. And with the system installed, our water tastes and smells better.

I’m not satisfied with RainSoft. I was supposed to get a rebate check. I’ve called in my sales rep six times at this point. I keep getting the runaround. “Oh, somebody’s gonna call you and let you know it’s been delayed and what’s been going on.” I was also supposed to get additional points on the My360. Those have not come through. I followed up with the woman who I was working with. I’m being told that should be taken care of this week. Overall, if I didn’t have those issues, I’d be satisfied. But the promises that I was given on top of getting the RainSoft are not coming through. So, it’s just turning me off to the whole RainSoft procedure. Also, I was told that I would get either like four or five months of differed payments. I wouldn’t have to make a payment. Usually, when you’re offered that, it’s interest-free differed, and it hasn’t been the case.

I’ve made a payment out of good faith for my own self. When I got the invoice, it showed me that it was a revolving line of credit that was opened and not an installment loan that was opened, which is a big difference. Getting an actual monthly invoice for something that will go down versus a revolving line of credit that’s $8,000, I’m not happy with that blindside either but I dealt with that. So then, in faith, I sent an $85 payment just to get the amount that I owed rounded down to the nearest 100. Then the next month, after making a payment when I was told I didn’t have to make a payment, I had an interest charge of like $65. So, I have differed payments but interest is gonna accumulate the entire time. That’s also a huge blindside. The water has been fabulous, but I’m being blindsided left and right, up and down, and then I’m not even getting the perks and the benefits that RainSoft promised me.

Each time I call my sales guy, he’s like, “Oh, make sure you send me references. Make sure you send me references.” You don’t even wanna hear the words I’m ready to say to the man if he asked me again for references. The last thing I’m gonna do is refer RainSoft to any of my family or friends at this point. The sales guy knew that it was a revolving line of credit. He’s done it for how many years now. He knew that it wasn’t gonna be differed interest. When you come in to somebody’s home, it’s a totally different relationship versus me walking into a store and trying to take this out.

I was approached at Home Depot. Going to Home Depot for something totally different, and I was approached by a representative and said, “Can I have your water tested at your home? You’ll get a $75 gift card. No obligation.” The sales guy came into my house, twisted my arm behind my back, spent almost seven hours with me and my husband trying to discuss things and he did a great job. But now, I’ve known that he’s a snake, and he’s been doing it for so many years. He failed to say there is interest, and it’s a revolving line of credit, which are two things that if I would’ve heard at the very beginning, they would’ve deterred me slightly, or at least, I would’ve been prepared for this. I’m not prepared for this. I have like a $7,500 loan now, that if I don’t get it squared away and start making significant monthly payments to it, I’m pretty much in a revolving line of credit hell.

I did a water test, and then a gentleman came out and tested the water and showed us and offered up the Rainsoft equipment, and we got it. We love it. We got everything including the washing machine one, the air filter, the air filter for AC, the water and the sink. Our full house is set up for it. The drinking water is perfect. I did not drink very much water before then. And now, everybody in the whole house drinks water regularly.

I need some help because I never got the website to be able to go and order the stuff, so I was wondering about that. I was gonna call them. A lady told me that they would be calling me soon to give me the website but I don't have the website for the item. Other than that, everything was great as far as everyone coming out and putting in the equipment. They were awesome. The installer helped out a lot.

My wife had known about Rainsoft for a while. I knew about water softeners before but I've never heard of Rainsoft until they actually showed up and did a demonstration. The sales rep was excellent. We got the whole house water softener, the charcoal filter or dechlorinization system. We got an under-the-sink reverse osmosis system. The installers did an excellent job. They had it done that day, but there was a part busted and they had to come back in a week to fix the part. The system was up and running, but there was something going on with it. They had to come back and fix the thing. The installer said one week and it was exactly seven days and they got it fixed. I’d absolutely recommend Rainsoft to anybody.

The RainSoft system is working beautifully and so, I’m extremely happy with the product that I said that I would work for them. I just got my product, and the technicians are gonna come out and double-check that it's hooked up right. Then later, I have an appointment with my salesperson who sold me the system to upgrade because I did the reverse osmosis, and I did a very good system, but I need to add one more tank. I have told family and friends about RainSoft. I have one friend who had to cancel her appointment, but she will be rescheduling.

I really like our RainSoft system. My fiancée found out about it from somebody at Home Depot, then she went with the discussion. We set up a meeting to have them test our water and it was absolutely great dealing with their rep. After the test, I was surprised with everything that was in the water. We thought that if it could make our water healthier, then we would give it a shot. There happened to be a local company that installs RainSoft systems and they were able to come out right after we were done talking with the rep. And so, our system was installed about two hours afterwards. The installation team was really great too. They went over everything about the system again, which the rep already did, to make sure I didn’t have any other questions. And since then, I've loved the system. Everything seems to run great and I really have noticed a difference.

We did a water test with a marketing group for RainSoft and then we had a salesperson come out and do a demonstration. It was an awesome interaction, and the installation was good except for the piping. They are going to re-pipe the unit because the manual says to use ¾-inch pipes coming into the unit and they used ½-inch. So, there has been some questions around that portion of the installation, but everything else is working well. Since the system has been installed, the water is very good. It seems like it has less salt than our previous system and it also seems much better for cleaning.

RainSoft's reps and installers were very friendly and everybody seemed to be knowledgeable. We talked to one of the managers since they had to come out a couple of times. But they seemed to be very nice trying to get everything going well for us. When the original installation was done, they had to drill into our granite countertop around the sink. There was a lot of dust that we had to clean up afterwards. Additionally, the salesperson at Home Depot said that we would get an email about how to get free soap products. We haven’t received any information on that yet. But other than those issues, no big deal and their team installed our system okay.

Thus far, we're really enjoying it. I can tell the difference and the lack of lime deposits that we get on the shower head as well as our bathroom water has been really nice too. I also don't have to replace any of the salt or anything like that. We haven't had any problems since installation. We really like the product so far and and it's gonna be an easy system to use.

The installation team was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. if there's a number higher than amazing, I would give it to them. I love the system. In the last hurricane, we didn't have to go out and fill up water. We had five-gallon jugs here. We just filled up our own water at home. When we got it, we didn't have to be fighting in those stores to get water. Friends came over and we showed them the whole RainSoft System, and they were just as happy with it as we were. Plus, RainSoft has an app on the phone that can monitor your system and it tells you when it’s cleaning itself and when it’s low on salt. Also, we just got our first check for referring a friend’s name. We get a $50 referral check for every presentation and if four or five of our referrals buy the system, RainSoft actually pays for our system.

I wound up getting a water softener, an ionizer that you hook up to the clothes washing machine, an air purifier and a reverse osmosis. The installers who came were very professional.

They installed the equipment in the garage and I asked them if they could leave me a little bit of extra place so I could move the equipment out from the wall to get behind it because that was blocking the wall. They accommodated my wishes and they did a great job. We didn't have good results with the ionizer though. When we ran into RainSoft at Home Depot, they were doing a survey. Then, they came out and did their water check. We signed the paperwork and did everything for it. We were really happy with the test. They came out and we asked them about the credit check. They said it's a soft credit check and they would come out and install it the next morning as long as we get financed.

They were out here the very next morning installing the system. They ran both my husband's credit and mine three times, hard. But we were like, “Okay, we got the system. It’s financed, whatever.” Somewhere about 12 days later, I called because we got the soap package with it and I couldn’t use any of the points. When I called, the rep couldn’t give me any information because they needed to come back out to do a quality check and make sure the system was running right, which I didn’t know anything about. Nobody had said anything.

The day the rep was supposed to come out, they ran our credit again, 17 days after the system had already been installed. I got into an argument with them over why they were running my credit after it had already been in my house for almost a month and they said that because they hadn’t come out and done their quality check, they could keep running it, which we didn’t know about. So, he said that there’s supposed to be 5 days and they would come out and do it.

Also, we had agreed when we signed to do the paperwork that our payments were gonna be like $136 a month. We were deferring it for so many days. And when she came out, our payments were $286 a month, with deferred for 90 days because it was the best financing she could do. I had the system on my house, so we thought over trying to get something back installed. It was in an absolute, crazy mess and my credit got ruined because they ran it so many times. And they took the system back. $300 a month is crazy. As awesome as the water was, I can’t and that was not what we agreed on at all. We had an absolutely terrible experience with everything except for how the water and the actual system was good. I would not recommend them at all.

We bought a home that had an EC4 system installed. The previous owners wanted to charge us $2000 for keeping the system. We did not want to do that, so they left it, probably knowing that the system has a lifetime warranty on it. Sadly, the system was not maintained and the water tasted salty and tested poorly. The tech who came out said that we could put in another system since the repair would cost $1500 (the result of letting the salt run out).

A new system could run up to $6000, so we opted to use the buyback program where the replace the main tank system and we pay $2700 and get the lifetime warranty which did not carry over to us from the previous owners. We hope this was a good decision. Glad we did not buy the system from the previous owner for $2,000. We also hope the water improves and we will stay on top of the system. I am sure that in this area, the water will be awful without a softener and filter, so it was paying for the lesser of two evils.

I told him I had a lot of friends and family that we knew that would be interested in getting RainSoft, especially since they would finance and help them out that way.

We got what he called "the whole thing". It filters our well water before it comes into the house. Then we have what he called "the cherry on top". It was the system that was just in the kitchen sink on the cold water side. It's an extra filter for our drinking water. The installer came out the next day. The installation was a breeze and I was really impressed. My husband was here during the installation, but when I got back home, the system was ready to use. We used to go and get bottled water, and now we don't have to, so it's wonderful.

Softener/Conditioner Product: The EC5-100-V system provides the whole house with softened and conditioned water - the girls love the soft skin feeling and no longer need conditioner when shampooing. We are using less soap across the board for hands, sink, dishwasher, showers, clothes washing - it is like our soaps are now supercharged. Use less - get more suds!

Drinking Water Product: Our under sink filter (reverse osmosis) provides the purest drinking water we've ever tasted - beats any bottled water we've tried. We've noticed that our Keurig coffee tastes better too. We also find ourselves drinking more water each day - a good thing. Purchase & Installation: We invited the owner (Mr. Randy Williams) of RainSoft Huntsville out for a demonstration. We were a bit skeptical at first, but the demonstrations done by Mr. Williams actually won us over into believing the RainSoft product would improve our water throughout our home. We purchased their top of the line system and Mr. Williams set up its installation for that afternoon.

The installer Mr. Doug **, arrived exactly as promised by Mr. Williams. He set up shop in our driveway and was very efficient installing our system. I cannot recall him making a motion that wasn't thought out and needed for installation. He did the under sink Ultrafiner system first and then installed the EC-5 system in our garage. Throughout, Mr. ** explained what he was doing, how things worked and answered every question I had. As part of the EC5's plumbing, we now have a whole house shut off spigot in our garage - no more running out to the street meter to turn water off if we need!

Mr. ** gave us confidence that we purchased a quality product backed by an honorable business owner. He has worked for RainSoft of Huntsville for over 15 years and spoke highly of the owner. Not often an installer will sincerely do that. Summary: If you are considering a water treatment system for your home - getting a demo from RainSoft of Huntsville is a wise move. We live in Madison, AL and have a great water utility, but this RainSoft system took our good water and made it awesome.

Less than a month later the unit stuck in regen and dumped hundreds of gallons of water in my yard. Tech came out and told me the seals the previous tech put in were BAD. (They got a bad batch.) Can't wait to see my water bill. I can not recommend RainSoft due to High cost, High maintenance cost, and Poor quality quality replacement parts. The service tech was nice, efficient, and knowledgeable. If I have another problem, the replacement will Not be RainSoft. Hey Culligan man.

I live in a very small town with horrible well water. I was promised for $8100, I would have perfect drinking water, and would never have to buy water again. I was a 22 year old new homeowner and VERY gullible. I decided that the price was worth my peace of mind. I was promised clean drinking water and peace of mind for my pipes and etc. What I received. I have to call at least once a month because my water is yellow/orange and smells. I do NOT, and have not for a single day trusted to drink this water. Even my pets don't drink this water. My brand new, white tiled shower that I spent a fortune on because I was promised safe water is now yellow. I have to get new shower heads and faucets just about every year because mine get crusted up from this horrible water that I still have. My washers tend to die every two years at this point because they're working overtime and getting clogged with yucky water.

Needless to say, they scammed me. And they have NEVER offered a solution. Other than they now don't charge me for my monthly service calls. Not a win. I've had service guys tells me if I just lived 30 minutes north. I would love my product. The issues is, is that I don't live 30 minutes north. And they should have sold me a product that works for my AREA. I will NEVER recommend their product. It's a waste of money.

We have a new home, and I wanna do some type of investment. So, getting a water system was something that really caught our eye when the guy that was walking around told us that we could put some investment in our home if we have a water system. And also, we have a lot of skin issues and we thought it would be great to try something new and see if it works for us. And our RainSoft system has been working great. We have had it for three months. I really like that it really makes the skin very moist. The only thing I would recommend for sure is to sponsor this whole skin care. The system does really great for people with health issues. So, it’s helped us a lot with our health issues. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

The installation process was good. The installers were keeping me alert and making sure everything was okay. They went through the steps on how to work the system, and if the startup time is not good, they told me how to reset it. They went over a lot of things and also how to keep it clean. We just had one issue. It was screwed in a little crooked. There was a little leaking under the sink. But right away, they came the next day and fixed it all up for me.

I’ve known about RainSoft for the last 40 years and this is our second system. The interactions with the reps were great and the people who serviced our RainSoft seemed to be very knowledgeable. I had one incident where a guy put water all over my garage and my furniture was out there, but other than that, it has been fine. I dealt with that at the time. So, we’re good. I got the whole system and the installation team was perfect although they had to come out a second time because a hose busted. They were out the next couple of days. Since having the system installed, the water is softer. I’d recommend RainSoft.

I'm a health coach, so I've always been interested in getting better quality water for the house. We haven't gotten around to doing anything about it yet then a store associate at Home Dept walked up to us and asked if we wanted to get a $20 Home Depot gift card. He also asked if we would agree to have someone come and give us a presentation. Then, he set up an appointment with RainSoft and the rep who came out clearly knew his stuff. He was a little bit of an old-timer kind of guy but he got the job done. We didn't know that much about soft water systems per se, but we knew about the pros and cons of reverse osmosis and alkaline water. We knew the benefits of that and he filled in a few gaps. But mostly, he got to skip through the presentation pretty fast since we were already believers in it.

For the installation, we initially had one of the more junior people come to do the install and he was a very nice guy. He dropped the stuff off, drilled the hole for the spout in the kitchen, and put it in place under the sink spout. But right away, he realized that the situation at our house was beyond what his skill set and his license would allow. He said it would take a very long time for him to do it on his own and he stopped because he said it was clear that we needed the general contractor installer guy to come and do it.

If he hadn't had the good sense to stop, we probably would've been very underwhelmed by how he was planning to install it. But once the other guy came, which was Danny and he comes with a helper, we were over the moon happy with everything that he did. He was fantastic and he did so much. He pointed out something that was out of code with how our sprinkler system was done and was able to fix that so our soft water system didn't push through to the sprinklers and kill everything. He was so knowledgeable and he did everything really well. So that was the best part of the whole RainSoft experience so far.

We had a representative not long after that in the house, tested the water, showed us the results of it and that's when I decided that we needed a water softening system. I consulted with their rep and every facet of the whole process was smooth. The rep thought of things that I wouldn't have thought of at the time of installation. It turned out to make the whole job easier afterward, not only for me but for him too. We did the water softening system and the reverse osmosis fountain. During the sales demonstration, the rep informed my wife and I that the system would pay for itself over the course of 3 years. He illustrated how a $200 monthly savings on the various soap products that would be delivered to our door would cover the full cost of the system in 3 years. Based on this claim, we agreed to purchase the system.

We soon discovered that the claim of monthly soap products being delivered to our door was false, so the presentation was misleading and deceptive. Instead of soap products being delivered monthly, you may only obtain the soap products once a year. In short, instead of a $200 monthly savings, it is a $200 yearly saving, which means the product pays for itself in 37 YEARS, not 36 MONTHS. We've only had the system for 2 months, so we attempted to reach the local office to discuss their deceptive sales practices and how they'd like to address this issue. My spouse was motivating me to begin researching water treatment systems. She had been told by a plumber that water conditioners were good for home pipes, and we purchased a new home 10 years ago. The city where we live apparently used to do citywide water softening as part of their water treatment. The plumber said they had discontinued that. His recommendation was to look for water softeners and we purchased RainSoft's water conditioning system.

About three weeks after it was installed, I had occasioned to go down and change the kitty’s litter box. I was standing there with a scooper, looked around the basement, and I literally went, “What’s that?” I went over and looked at it, and it was my water conditioner. It was very attractive. The purchasing process was so painless that I had forgotten about it and it surprised me when I discovered it. I knew it was being installed and I’d paid for it by then, but I’d had so little fuss and bother that it had slipped my mind that the work had been done.

I don't spend a lot of time worrying about anything in my life. But if you’ve ever had a water mess, it can be very uncomfortable. The installation of the water conditioner involved working on the water. I hoped the guy didn't cut into a pipe and I'd go home and there'd be four inches of water in the basement. And that did not happen. I didn't not end up with puddles of water in my basement. The guy did a fabulous job and I already have recommended RainSoft to friends.

The installer explained everything very clearly. It was very well done and I was also quite impressed with that. Since having RainSoft, everybody in the house notices the difference in our filtration in both our showers and in the drinking water. Laundry comes out better, too. Everything that’s been promised about it in the sales presentation is pretty much what we’re seeing. So, that part I’m very happy about. It’s just that thing about the money that I thought was a little too sneaky.

The initial offer was for ** and we eventually bought it for ** which is a very fair price. The system is excellent and we’re very happy with it. If somebody had accepted the initial offer, then the vendor is taking that ** as profit. Similar people in my situation would pay the initial offer for the same thing and may or may not feel they’re getting a good deal, but I don’t think that’s right. That left a bad taste in my mouth. One could also call it taking advantage of people and that made me a little uncomfortable. I don’t blame RainSoft for it but their vendor/licensee. Otherwise, people were friendly and the installer was excellent and cleaned-up after himself. I couldn’t have asked for it to be done better. I would recommend RainSoft. They even tried to charge us for our service appointment! Then we went to fill the salt tank and it was filled with dirty water. We’ve had our appliances serviced recently and they said our water is still very hard. We are very disappointed. We keep calling to have it removed and they don’t call us back. We don’t want money back. We just want it gone. It’s been months and no one returns our calls. We get lied to and pushed aside. Don’t count on this company. I’m fearing it’s a scam.

I have had my Rainsoft Water treatment System since about 1990, two years after moving here. Our well water is loaded with iron and sulfur smell. Not a surprise as I grew up on the next farm down the road. Mom NEVER washed clothes at home because of the harsh water. Prior to the Rainsoft unit we had a brand x and my water tasted like iron, sulfur and salt and if you made coffee it looked like an oil slick. The Rainsoft that we purchased took away all of the nasty stuff. Ours was suddenly the best tasting in the area.

The computer head mechanics finally wore out. I bought a used unit and asked the local dealer to install it. The service manager was a real slick shyster or so he thought. After his guys did a half job I was put off for weeks while my plumbing was again loaded with iron. After a conversation with the owner I was repaired the next day. Long story short, great product, don't let some jerk mess with you. And buy your water filters in bulk.

We have hard water and we see the calcification building up on our water faucets. RainSoft came out, tested our water, showed it to us, and took us through it. It was a pleasant experience and they were professional. We ended up purchasing the system thereafter. Then, the installation guys were great, very accommodating, very flexible, talked me through everything, and did really well. However, we still haven’t received the free gift card for having the free water testing. Other than that, since having the system installed, the calcification is gone around our faucets and the water tastes better.

The sales rep from RainSoft was amazing. He was funny, awesome and showed us a lot about the water filtration system. However, we got the air purifier for the whole house due to allergies. Since we got it, we have less dust, less sneezing and it feels light and fresh in the house. We’ve had it for about six months and the filter is changed periodically for upkeep and maintenance. RainSoft is well worth the money and people should do it.

When we went to Home Depot and got our carpet done, we heard about RainSoft. Their rep set up the appointment then called to verify it. Then they showed up and in the end, we decided to buy their product. The guy doing that PVC pipe knew what he was doing. What he did was fun to watch and he left the site looking great. After the system was installed, it takes a lot more water to wash off soap now. When I’m in the bathroom and trying to take a three-minute shower, I gotta wait for a couple more washes before I can get the whole soap-feel off of me and I’m not used to that. But other than that, I’d do it again with RainSoft if I was given an opportunity.

They had been to our place twice before, but refused to follow the directions to the house, depending instead on GPS. Told them several times GPS fails and will not go to or house. They have never showed up and have never called back. They are two months out in their service schedule and have wasted four months of our time. The water test is a scam! Don't fall for it. I had the water tested at a laboratory after the pushy sales scam. I was asked by a rep at Home Depot to get a free water test. I was new to the area and wanted to have my water tested. I homebrew beer and needed a baseline as to what total dissolved solids (TDS) were in my water. When contacted by RainSoft I realized what I was in for and told the rep. I didn't need a water system - just the water test. She insisted the water tech would be at my home to test my water. Fine. Let's see how this goes.

I was given the spiel on how terrible the water was in my area from the public water supply. He then took 2 samples and added the same chemical to each and told me the test proved my water without treatment was as bad on the scale as the worst water in the country. We shouldn't be drinking it! I asked what was the Total dissolved solid count (TDS). He replied, "We have our own test and scale only used by RainSoft and it doesn't give the TDS". When I questioned this as TDS is the measurement of hard water used by every water Lab in the world. I decided to send him packing. I then sent my water to Ward Laboratories and for a small charge got a real water test. Our water is Excellent with just 280 TDS. Some of the best public water in the country. Don't be fooled, Don't waste your time and Don't ever buy from RainSoft. If you need to treat your water there are real solutions for far less money. But start with a water test from a real Lab!

The Orlando-based outfit sort of took over this area and they had become more annoying than anything. They kept calling me over and over again to schedule service calls when I had already made it abundantly clear to them that I wanted them out here in the fall of every year and that was it. It was just the way things were handled from the office. I switched to Charlotte County Water and I've been using them for a few years. With Charlotte, I have not had that problem. They’ve been very polite and professional. They’ve been extremely good to deal with so far, both the people in the office and the representative who came out to the house.

When I was starting to have problems with water pressure, I had to look at a couple of different possibilities. We narrowed it down to the softening unit and I contacted RainSoft about the service. We then discussed the upgrade for the system and made a decision to go ahead with it. When techs came out to work on my new system, they got right to it and they explained what they were doing. Since then, my water system seems to be performing fine. I'm satisfied with my upgrade and I would recommend RainSoft.

We bought this system a year ago and, so far it has worked well, except that it drains a lot of water when it recycles itself, and that is...nobody knows. Every time I call to have them fix something is $110 just to come and see. To change the filters is $110 plus the filters, to clean the salt deposit, $ 110, and so on. I called their corporate offices and they won´t do anything not even if it is a problem with the equipment, all has to go through the dealer and, everything costs $110. My water pressure is down and I cannot wash clothes so I will be paying them another $110 just to come and see if it can be fixed. So, if you buy this system be aware of around $300-500 a year for visits.

We had to have a soft water system because of chemical build-up and it can destroy our washing machine. We have build-up when we turn the water on, especially in the bathroom, and there are so many things in the water that we had to have the system. Also, it is better for us to have filter water. I got all of RainSoft's products and I also got new filters, but they cost a lot of money.

We are in a new home and they had the soft water system placed in the garage. On the other side of the wall, I have a bedroom which happens to be the bedroom where my daughter sleeps in. She was here watching the thing go off at 2 o'clock in the morning and she could not sleep. Ever since then, when I know that she is coming, I would go out in the garage, a day or two before, to see if I could go ahead and run it. While she's here, it doesn't wake her up. I'm looking forward to doing business with the installer when he comes out and services the system again. The first time that I had to run the system, I called him up and he talked to me on the phone and walked me through it. I ran it after that. I recommend Rainsoft. I wrote a good thing for RainSoft and for the installer and it was sent to Better Business Bureau. RainSoft responded and appreciated and thanked me for what I had done.

After 8 months of numerous technicians visiting our house and telling us that our equipment is working fine, we finally found out from the lead tech that the equipment was never installed properly. Added bonus, the only faucet in the entire house that is dispensing clean water is our downstairs powder bathroom. Great! So after 8 months of being lied to, repeated cancellations and reschedules from techs, countless wasted Saturdays dealing with these jokers, and the warranty on our plumbing being voided on our brand new 2018 house we finally asked them to uninstall the equipment & refund our 7k. Nope, they won't do it. Instead they told us to file a claim with Home Depot Corporate. Fine. Did that.

3 days later the owner of HWS, Donovan Adfield, called me and he was completely irate because I filed a claim. What? He was so hostile and menacing that I had to ask him not to call me ever again. I immediately called Home Depot Corporate and reported Mr. Adfield and expressed my concern about this company ever contacting us again and especially ever stepping foot on our property.

I am SERIOUSLY scared of this guy! Honest to goodness folks, please do not buy their equipment. Aside from being corrupt and engaging in terrible (if not illegal) business practices, their customer service is awful and they cannot be trusted in your home. I went with the whole house filtering and I also have a filtering system underneath the sink that I can get drinking water. The water tastes good and there is no smell or discoloration. The water is much better. I don’t have to buy bottled water anymore. However, I had an issue with discoloration from my dishwater. Some of the hardness was not inputted correctly into the system, so I had a whiteness on my black stuff that was in the dishwasher, plus I had a leak from the stuff that the tech put in from the plumbing. I called RainSoft and they said they charge $25 for diagnostics. So, I could be out $225 or I could have a $4,000 system for $225. We took the risk and took the system over to RainSoft and there wasn’t anything wrong with it. It just needed a few O-rings replaced and we had somebody come out and install it.

When I am using the RainSoft system, it cut my use of shampoos and conditioners in half. The spots on the shower doors are also very minimal. I've upgraded over the years and when we moved, we decided to move the system with us. The water down here is so horrible that we've had them put a carbon tank on the house, so that helps tremendously. However, I am not sure if we have the softener just right because I am still getting a lot of spots on all my clean dishes, which I've never had in the past. We were in a JCPenney in Aurora, Colorado and RainSoft Water Treatment Systems had the water test for free. We could grab one and test our water, so we did it. We came home and tested our water. RainSoft sent a representative out after they got our results to explain to us all about our water, the hardening, and the softening. We didn’t need a softener at all, but we got the filter. The sales rep that came out was new. We were his third or fourth presentation, but he did very well. He was here longer than he was planning to be here. He tried really hard and did a really good job answering our questions. If he couldn’t answer our questions, he immediately got on the phone with somebody to get them answered.

The installation, on the other hand, was a bit different. We ended up having two days of having the installer come out and the note that the sales rep took while he was here didn’t get transferred to the installer, so when he got on site, he wasn’t prepared for our type of house and where we wanted to put our unit. We were also told that since we don’t have a basement, the unit would sit outside and that RainSoft would be building the shelter that it would sit in. The installer was only able to install part of the system, then he had to come out later. We had to make a compromise on where the unit would fit. Now, the unit sits on our dining room, so it looks like we have a silver torpedo in our dining. He ended up cutting our phone lines when he drilled the holes through the floor to run the pipes and we had the phone company come out and fix that. We were also told that the pipes would not freeze, but they ended up freezing one night.

I had to get electric heaters underneath the house to get everything thawed. Also, when he put the stuff in under the sink, when he rerouted our dishwasher drain and put the drain for the filtration system in, it was backing up into my dishwasher and causing the dishwasher to go into a drain cycle every time we would use the water system. The installation was a bit more frustrating than the sales rep. We also had another guy come out the day after the install because the water was gray. We weren’t informed it could be gray for a while until all the sediments and stuff inside the tank worked its way out in the line. We ended up having another guy come out and do a bit more explanation on that.

The guy that came out and did the install was a little frustrated because he didn’t know all the information. He felt very unprepared when he came out. But he was very friendly to talk to and eager to work with us. He did some stuff above and beyond what he would have had to have done. Overall, the guys have been really good. We can call them up and we get an answer back right away, or they send a tech out within 24 hours. We are 45 miles from the nearest major city and they are still trying to get somebody out here to take care of us, so I am pleased.

Now that everything is settled, the water quality has been tons better. We can drink our water and our ice is so much better. We can ice, so we don’t have to buy bagged ice now. We don’t have to buy bottled water that much. We buy some just to have on hand in case the waterline freezes or we are going somewhere. Overall, we are very happy with the system and I would recommend the system to anybody in our small town.

I was wandering through Home Depot and this very nice guy asked me a survey about water. He took my information and I got a call from RainSoft. Since I work in the Marine Pollution Environment, I probably know more about water than the average bear. I had recently moved to Texas and I knew my water wasn’t great. I also knew that I didn’t have a softener. I then decided to go get one.

The reps at Rainsoft have been fabulous. The salesman was the best. Robert, my installer, came out and spent the day with me installing my system. After my system was installed, I had about a week of problems where it dripped and alarms went off and the system shut down. It did multiples times so Robert came back with a senior installer and looked at the problem. They realized that there was a component that they had installed that was bad. They also found a leak under my sink, so they fixed everything and since then, it’s been perfect. It took them 10 days for everything to work properly. Since the Rainsoft system was installed, my water tastes better. My water even feels better and I’m hoping that it’s doing good things for my water-needed appliances.

Getting a Rainsoft system is like buying the Cadillac. I probably didn’t realize I was buying the Cadillac at the time, but they have absolutely lived up to their service promises and everybody has been super nice and professional. I would do it again even with the fact that I had issues right up front. Everything they did was perfectly great for me.

In one of my few shopping trips at Sam's Club, RainSoft had the free water testing vial. We just moved from a property where we had our own well into one that had a public water supply and I wanted to see what kind of water we had. The water testing experience was all good. We took a water sample out of the faucet and mail it in and they sent me a summary report and offered to have someone come by to talk to you about my water. I agreed and the sales rep was nice and knowledgeable. The rep educated me a lot of different components of the water. It was all very positive.

I ended up investing in the whole house filtration system. It’s an investment but the chlorine levels and the hardness in our water and the damage to the appliances were horrible. We couldn’t even tolerate it after running it through a ZeroWater filter. I got the reverse osmosis and the carbon filters and some kind of antibacterial treatment that comes right into the kitchen water faucet for drinking and cooking. The whole house system addresses the hardness of the water and the mineral build-up in the appliances. It’s a good system and we’ve been happy with it. There's no odor or taste. It even goes to the refrigerator so it takes care of the house as well.

The installation was fast. A nice man came out and within a few hours, he had it all installed. He walked me through using and maintaining it. Before the system was installed, my husband wouldn’t even use the water even after we ran it through the ZeroWater filter. He wouldn't use it to rinse his mouth. I had to buy spring water because he was so sensitive. The smell and taste remained after we ran the water through the ZeroWater filter. Now, he can draw his rinse water when brushing his teeth right out of the sink faucet, and he’s fine with it. Other than that, the reps at RainSoft were friendly. If I had a question or two and I call or email it to them, they were right on top of it.

He was really professional, smart, and he knew what he was talking about. That was helpful. He was also able to show us how well their system worked and that helped us decide to buy from them. We ended up getting their water softener and the filter. Since having those, I've noticed that our dishes have been way cleaner when they come out of the dishwasher. Our cups have also been crystal clear, which has been awesome.

I got mail from Home Depot that said to call. I did and the nice lady asked if I liked my water. I told her I would happy to have someone come out. When you buy a house, you need to get water treatment because the pipes will go after a while, even if they're PVC. I had my initial consultation with Donald. I'm a pretty straight shooter so I said to let me see the water and not give me his spiel. He did his tests and all the stuff he was supposed to do. I was putting together a dining room table and paying attention while my wife was sitting there. I told him that I wanted to know what I was drinking because I know it wasn't good. He tested some ice cubes because we don't have a filter on our fridge.

I already knew we needed the system. I told Donald to just give me a price. When he wrote the initial number down, I said he could walk out right then. Donald was very honest, upfront, and respectful of my family. He didn't seem to be shady in any way, shape, or form. That was a big thing to establish trust and rapport. He said that somebody was gonna come out and see me and that was the guy I sign the paperwork with.

Two days later, someone came and put in the system outside. That evening, a gentleman came and brought another water testing kit so he could show me the outside, inside and how much stuff had been removed. He also brought out the paperwork. You can tell that the water tastes cleaner. The chlorine is not there anymore. Plus, there is no buildup in the shower or on the tubs. The clothes smell fresher. We had some issues with the dishwasher though. They don't tell you a lot of things like you can't use the pods when you have a whole home purification system because it uses less soap which was why they give you the soap to use. The dishwasher wasn't drying dishes because it was filling up with soap. That was a lesson learned.

We were told to use what they gave us, but we still had stuff left over so my wife just used what we had. The warranty guy came and showed me how much soap was in there after a quick rinse. I said that no wonder nothing was dry. I like the shampoo and soap. My kids are still leery because they're hell-bent on what they've been using. The amount you have to use the laundry soap to get the same effect as you would when you use a normal detergent is awesome. I've recommended RainSoft to others.

We have always disliked the hard quality of our water in Texas. We were looking for alternatives but then my husband made the appointment and forgot to tell me about it. So it was a shock when someone appeared at the door. We were in the middle of dinner but we were interested in hearing what he had to say so we didn't wanna ask if we could reschedule, which I'm sure he encounters often. He waited and was very patient with the whole process and understanding of a busy household. He was also knowledgeable and we appreciated that.

We have a whole-home water conditioning system from RainSoft and we're definitely noticing a difference in the way our clothes feel and smell. We're noticing a difference in our skin as well. We were away this past weekend and my daughter was complaining that she felt icky when she got out of the shower because of the way she feels when she gets out of the shower at our house.

I wasn’t really a believer of the RainSoft product, but the sales team showed me what it was and how it worked. Also, the installation guy was amazing. It was on a New Year’s when he did the installation, and he was out there from 10 to at least 6 or 7. It took a while, but he was a great guy in general. I've noticed a big difference since I got the RainSoft system. If I take a shower at the house, it’s like my skin feels like it’s shining. It's like something smooth is over my skin. It's completely different when I go somewhere else to shower. Everything is good as it is. But RainSoft could throw in some better products that the customer could get when they do purchase it. All the products that they are currently using seem underwhelming to me. They’re not that great. But overall, I would do my experience all over again if I had to.

Our next-door neighbor had put in a water softening system and we were considering it. When we had this condominium built and we moved from Dickson to Murfreesboro, I noticed right away that there were all kinds of water spots, especially on my dishes when I would wash them. I thought it was because of the dishwasher so we replaced it. But on my faucet and the little drain thing, I also noticed spots and calcium build-up. I would have to scrub it off just after a week. So I knew that there was something wrong. The water was really hard.

Since having the RainSoft system installed, I have noticed a huge difference. The dishes are sparkling and they don’t have water spots all over them. It’s unbelievable. Everything is great. We haven’t even had to put any salt in the system yet. There’s an app that you can put on the phone and you can tell whether the system needs salt or if there’s something wrong. Our electricity had also gone out a couple times, just flickering because they’re still building around here, and the app also gives you a notice on the phone that the electricity is out. The sales reps that we had dealt with were also wonderful. They were honest and they do what they say they’re going to. The installers were top-notch too. They were out here and had the thing installed in no time. They didn’t make a mess and whatever mess they did make, they cleaned up before they left. So they were unlike most any of them nowadays.

It was a comfortable rapport so everything went well.

We got the two tanks that go in the basement, one that’s full of salt and the other one with the little pebbles. Then we got the one for the drinking water that goes under the sink. The installers came in the evening and were done in three hours. They were downstairs cutting the pipe and tying everything back in, and when they left, they explained everything to me, like how to shut it off if I needed to. If anything happened, they showed me how to work the little screen under one of the tanks to see how many gallons we use. Now the water feels different when we shower. It leaves an oily feeling, but it’s not oily. It just feels like there’s still soap on you when there isn’t any. When I drink the water though, everything tastes good. Cleaning the bathtub and the toilets practically required a hammer and chisel. It was building up and although I would get it cleaned, I had to swab it out every single day to keep it from building up. I knew I had a problem. I had also tried to get a water softener before but because of the way my house is built with the zero-property line, the water softener would have been on my neighbor's property and I couldn't do it.

When I spoke with the RainSoft representative, he was saying, "Well, you do it today or you don't get this wonderful five years' worth of supplies, which is better than a sharp stick in the eye." It was agony because I had just spent $10,000 on repairs on my house. But I knew I wanted it and I had not heard anything negative about the company so I did it. I got the whole-home system plus the drinking water, and I've financed it for the time being. They said the cleaning would be easy but it's even easier than I expected. We moved from a home that didn't have very good water from wherever it was coming from. We noticed a lot of calcium build-up on the faucets over time. There was a lot of hard water stains on the glass door from the shower and rings around the toilet on the inside. We couldn't get most of that stuff off to save our lives. We just purchased a home and moving into it, we didn't want to have any of those issues.

When we were approached to get our water tested, we figured it was not gonna hurt. Crystal came over and did water tests. When we saw the results of the water test, we were kind of a little shocked. I was pretty sure there was gonna be a lot of hard water and a lot of minerals in the water that we probably did not need to be having inside of our appliances, pipes, and ultimately for us to drink. Crystal explained everything to us and kind of demonstrated what the RainSoft water softening system was going to do for us. We got to see and feel the results. After that, we were like, "Wow!" This is something that we kinda wanted to move forward with.

Two gentlemen, Mike and Brian, came over and they installed our water system. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I got to talk with them a lot and found out that they both have a water softening system in their own homes and have had it for multiple years. To me, that said a lot of pretty good things. They were selling a good product and the people who work for the company also have the exact same product that they were selling and installing. Mike and Brian asked where the system could be installed. They asked how to orient the tanks with the computer screen so I was really involved with them from the get-go. It was a really pleasant experience with the installation. The system looks really good too.

With RainSoft, we noticed our skin feels a lot softer. Our skin doesn't feel really tight when we get out of the shower as where we used to. So far, I haven't had to do any maintenance on the system. I went out to the garage the other week where it's installed, and everything checked out to be fine. RainSoft will be sending out a reminder as filters need to be changed. We also have the reverse osmosis system under the sink. I think those filters need to be changed about once a year and it would be every three to five years for the charcoal in the garage. I'll have to add salt to the system periodically too, but they filled up the tub with salt and I'm still well over halfway on my salt level. I've had a really good experience.

The salesman from RainSoft came, discussed the product and showed it to me. It went well for the most part except it seems that he had given me some information that was not fully correct. I searched it and read the information online, and there were two bits of information specifically. One was about the cleaning product that they offer. Initially, there was going to be a five-year supply that you get once a year. What he told us was that we would get it on an ongoing basis once we have the equipment. But he did not mention that we have to do referrals and have so many referrals to qualify for it. Although that was not the trigger for which we bought the equipment, that was something that he said that was not correct and I’m disappointed with that information.

The other thing was that we were talking about the system that apparently was discontinued. The equipment that I eventually got is the one that you access through the software online through your phone. But there was one which we were talking about that I didn’t need access to that. It was probably a more economical value system but apparently, that was not being offered at the time. So I had to end up with a higher cost system.

I had a straightforward consultation with the sales rep from RainSoft. I told them I was interested as the water here in South Florida is always chlorinated. Then, the rep came out, showed me the product and I purchased it. He had good knowledge even though I did my research before and I already knew I was gonna purchase it. The installer was thorough and knew what he was doing. He was polite and cleaned up after himself and I can’t be happier with the installation. I got the reverse osmosis in the kitchen and since I had a previous system, I realized the water is excellent since the RainSoft system was installed. Overall, my whole experience with them was excellent.

We had hard water and we ended up purchasing the whole system from RainSoft. Their installation team put the system in and they were professional. Since the installation of the system, our water is very much softer. I still have a concern about cloudy water, and they said it would be gone. But there are times when I turn my sink on to get a glass of water, and it's all white. My husband said that it's supposed to be normal in the first months. But he has not followed up on it. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend them.

We had a RainSoft rep come out, and he wasn't pushy and trying to sell anything. He showed us and explained everything. He was very good and he did a thing for us to show us how the system does the water. We got the filtration system throughout the house and then we got the thing that filters the water three or four times so it's better than bottled water, just a little spout off the sink. The installer left everything cleaned up and he did great.

I drink a lot of water during the day and I can taste the big difference in water that does not have the system on it. I drink the water that comes out of that little extra spout on the sink and I love it. But I am not impressed at all with the cleaning supplies like the soap. I still buy my own laundry detergent because the laundry detergent does not clean the clothes. Also, I cannot get the RainSoft machine to connect with my phone to remind me about refilling it with salt. Nevertheless, RainSoft is definitely a great product and I advise anybody to put it in their house.

My husband went to get a filter at Home Depot for our refrigerator. This girl had set-up a little desk and she was chatting away. We found out it was about the water and she asked if we wanted a free water evaluation. We thought we were in good shape as we had a filter under the sink and used a faucet on the top of the sink that we used for any filtered water we wanted to drink. The rep from RainSoft was wonderful. He gave us all the time in the world. He didn’t act rushed, answered any question we had, and knew his product. He was just great. We got the whole house water conditioning system and then they have a separate one which absolutely filters the water out all the lead and the chlorine.

The installer came a day after we had paid for it, which is really nice because we were gonna wait 10 days. He knew what he was doing and answered all our questions. The service is great. Since having RainSoft, there’s a softness on our skin whenever we shower. We would tell others to go ahead and buy from RainSoft if they feel like they can afford it. We hedged on the price. My husband did that. But then RainSoft said they’ve got a couple of demonstrators that they use at fairs and at home fairs and they just go back in the box. So we paid less than what they offered, and they negotiated with us. I would also tell others that we’re thrilled with the system. Our health is really better using it, and I’ve also noticed in cleaning that we don’t get the suds that people get in the shower and have to clean up. Also, our shower is much cleaner.

First of all we did enjoy the system. It did improve the quality of the water and help with skin issue my children were experiencing. Our issue was with how the release line that was ran through the attic. The line was improperly installed and with it causing the line to crimp over a rafter and when it released the pressured water at night it cause nearly 3000 dollars worth of damage. We tried to file this with Home Depot and they use the RainSoft company to determine the cause and it was determined by Rainsoft who installed it that it was a defective line.

That was not what I saw when I check it was crimped over a rafter which more than likely to be the cause of line to crack. I was also told to claim it on my insurance which my deductible was half the amount to avoid insurance premiums from going up. It was all out of pocket. Again would have bought another one since we left it in our rental property and was planning to buy another but have serious reservation due to the installation issue that occurred.

We have to have a water softener where we live and we had someone from Home Depot come out when we moved to a new house. The representative that came was great, although the problem that I have with RainSoft is the way that they described the financing. It was very misleading and when my husband and I got the bill, we wound up paying more. We owed more than what we originally financed because of the interest charges. We were paying more in interest, $113, and $13 is going to the principal. It has to change the way that it is directed to the customer. I paid it off last week with all my tax return and commissions my husband had, so I won't get stuck with that bill.

Either it was not explained well enough or the rep was not well-versed in what he was talking about as far as the financing part goes. I had financed everything else with no interest for five years, equal payments, and I was expecting RainSoft to be something similar to that, but I got the bill and I had a heart attack. The financing thing threw me for a loop and turned me off to it. They are really expensive, but we are really happy with. We set the system up the day after we moved in and I could definitely tell a difference.

That was one reason for which we had already considered getting a water system. But my wife set up the initial meeting with RainSoft to have the water tested and having the water tested and seeing what was in it cemented the fact that we needed to get it done. The representative went through a lot of different examples and showed us the difference between what was coming out of the sink and what could be coming out of the sink if we got the service. He was very knowledgeable and he even tested our bottled water because I wanted to know what was in that as well.

We got the second tier product that was to do with the softener and the installer was very friendly and personable. I thought it was gonna be hard to find those blocks of salt that I needed for the water softener but it was easy. So everything's running fine and smoothly. Everything is great. The system conditions the water and removes the impurities for the whole house. The water itself tastes different which is a plus because I would never drink faucet water. We also have an ice maker so that definitely helps to always have cold water. We don't have to worry about purchasing gallons in bottled water anymore.

They didn’t hook up my unit correctly and they made a big mess in my front yard, burying in the pipes or wires that they needed to do. I contacted the place because it was giving me an alarm all the time because it wasn’t hooked up correctly.

They sent someone out who said that a part was bad, and they set me up in another appointment for someone to come out and replace that part. The guy came out to replace the part and said that it wasn’t the part that was bad, it just wasn’t hooked up right. All in all, it took me two weeks to get it installed because I was waiting on other people to come out to verify and fix the problems that weren’t completed right the first time. I see no difference whatsoever since having the system installed and I don’t know if the water is cleaner. It doesn’t even feel like it has changed at all.

I'd rather we had a concrete pad for the product to sit on, like an air conditioning unit does, so that the product stays level, which is important. And when they come to change out the one tank, it would be easier. They don’t have to dig anything out. They would just remove the tank and that would be it. The installers were good though. They came out and worked hard. It was raining and the ground was muddy. They had to dig a trench to bury some pipe. I decided to look into getting a water treatment system and RainSoft's rep explained how things work very well. I got a system from them and the techs who came did a great job. They were in, had the installation done quickly. Since then, I noticed like when I take a shower that my skin doesn’t feel as dry as it did before.

Their magic show, which is a total gimmick setup. Then their high price sucks you in thinking it is a good product. Then you get screwed with $165.00 a year service charge. $165.00 a year plus your monthly payment of $80.00 and up. Biggest mistake you could ever make, Don't invest in this unit! And their installers leave a mess of damage behind.

They did a water test and they showed the difference between having RainSoft and without it. The lady that represented RainSoft was real nice and knowledgeable about what she does and we've been getting very good customer service. We got a whole house system and the installation took a couple of hours. I now don’t get rashy like I used to. The water is not hard at all. Also, I like the taste of the water. I don’t buy drinking water anymore. At Home Depot, RainSoft's rep asked me if I'd fill out a form and I did. Then they had someone contact me and he asked if he could come by and check our water. The guy was a good salesman and a chemist. He came by and set up the equipment, then he showed us the sediments in our water. He went through a process where he used an abbreviated sample of their system and the water came out to be 98% pure. So based on that very good presentation, we decided to go for it.

Everything was very good and satisfactory with RainSoft. They installed the system one day and it began working. Then a different man, their expert, came two days later and ran some piping through the attic and down into my system in my laundry room because the unit was installed in my garage. So, the installation was done very well and professionally. Also, my wife and I think that the water tastes better since we got RainSoft. Before, we were buying bottled water often and we stopped buying that now. We just drink our water out of our tap. Our coffee tastes better, too. So, we're happy with our RainSoft system and we've been very satisfied with the quality of the water that we've been having.

He was very nice and explained things very well. He tested our water, and it turned out our water has a lot of chlorine and lead in it. The installation was great. Two gentlemen from Delaware came. They were very nice, very polite, and clean. They came in the house, went to the sink and under the house, took everything out, and installed what they had to. They also showed me where they were gonna put it. And they told us when it needs to be serviced and when salt needs to be added, they're gonna call us. We have the alkaline system installed in the sink, and the water is great. We love it. We noticed that 10 days after they put it in all the stuff in the pipes came out. It looked like it cleaned the system out. And the water is softer. There's some salt in it. We would recommend RainSoft.

We had a water softener unit in our home when we first moved in and the previous owner left us no instructions whatsoever. More recently, we were starting to experience some issues with the unit and so we started going around town to different plumbing associates. Working with RainSoft's rep went pretty well though the process was a little lengthy. I purchased a total water softener system from them as well as another system that is under the sink in my kitchen that hooks up to my refrigerator. With those, I get all filtered water.

The techs who arrived came here on a Saturday which impressed me. Installation went smoothly and it was quick. However, I was a little bit upset with how they left some of my pipes out in the garage with the markings of magic markers. Before, they had nothing on them at all, and now, they look they're bleeding blue and purple. Still, water has been better than what we were having now that we have the RainSoft system. Being able to use the water straight from the tap to clean a very large mirror in our main bathroom was impressive to me. With Windex glass cleaner, all I was getting was streaking. Now, by using plain water and a paper towel, I don't have anything on the mirror.

It took him a couple of hours, but he was courteous.

Since having our system installed, the water is a little salty but it tastes better and the smell is not as strong. The app took time because I have to reconnect it to my phone, but I can go to the app and it'll tell me if there’s something wrong. The only thing is RainSoft shows you how much you can save, and there’s this thing about going to a website for coupons and you could save 20% on your groceries. And you have to pay for the coupons, and that wasn’t really explained ahead of time. So, to us, it’s not really worth the value.

The rep of RainSoft was fantastic and covered all the questions. He spent almost two hours here at the house and tested our water, and then compared it to what it did with their system. The person who installed was also great. He came out and did it fairly faster. When he got finished, he explained everything to us and showed us, especially with the filters. He was very thorough and knew what he was doing. There has been a big difference since. You can tell the difference on the skin and with the water and soap. I was looking into buying a new house and I had the water tested. It failed for E. coli, cholera, bacteria, and lead. I had the Triple Duos and failed for all four tests. I was trying to find a company that could correct the system before I make an offer on the house. I was given the names of a couple of companies in the area and RainSoft was one of the companies that came out. I had gotten different estimates and opted to go with RainSoft. I had three different companies come out. One explained everything in their terminology and I had no idea what they were talking about.

The RainSoft reps were very easy to work with. They explained everything to a layman who doesn’t understand the problems with water and what’s involved in it. They explained everything in detail as to how the different systems would work so it’s drinkable water and how it would fix the problems. There are a couple things I didn’t understand though, but I had decided upon them and it really didn’t make a difference. I was stuck with the way the system was. I didn’t realize that correcting for the lead in the water would be a completely different system. You only put it on a faucet that you’re gonna drink from. I wanted it on everything in the house so that I can go drink the water in the bathroom or the water outside from a garden hose, but it’s so expensive to do it that way.

RainSoft was the only company that was willing to do what I wanted. I have a rancher, but it’s a modular house and there is no basement underneath of it. There’s a crawlspace. All the houses I’ve looked at or people that I know that have the system have a basement and everything is physically in the basement. The filters are also in the basement.

I was trying to get everything put into a closet in the third bedroom or on one of the inside walls in that particular bedroom if it wouldn’t fit in the closet because of size constraint. I was trying to get it, so I don’t have to crawl underneath the house to try to change filters or to physically check to see if the system is working. The owner wasn’t sure if the technician could do it. When the technician came out, I explained to him the situation. I am handicapped and I can’t crawl. If I gotta go underneath the house, I gotta sit on my butt to pull myself backward. I was trying to make it convenient for me to be able to check the system and change filters on my own instead of paying somebody else to do it. He was able to explain to me how it was gonna go.

The house has water coming from a well. For some strange reason, whoever put this house up decided to put the main water shut-off in the rear back corner of the house and you gotta crawl from one end of the house all the way to the other end to shut the water off. To me, the main shut-off valve should be placed near where it comes out of the ground or where it first comes into the house. The RainSoft technician put a master shut-off in the closet, just before the entire system. I was very happy with the work he did. He was also very helpful in explaining the entire system to me, how it works, and how I need to maintain it.

The water looks clearer now and it's drinkable. I had asked for an additional test just to have my own peace of mind after the installation was done and they did. They sent me the results and it showed that everything is below what the acceptable levels are. I wouldn’t say crystal clear water, but I have clean water. I would highly recommend RainSoft to anybody that has similar problems.

We moved into a new house and with our past experience with the water here, it’s just hard water. We didn’t wanna have to deal with new pipes and new hardware anymore. After all these years, we wanted to try a water softener. A saleslady from RainSoft came to our home and did a water test, and it was very enlightening. She did a good job. She was really nice and very informative, and we booked ourselves the same day. We also liked the fact that the warranty that comes with it. Plus with the special that was going on at the time, she threw in some different types of laundry soap and detergents as part of our package. That was really nice. I appreciated that. The installation also went really well and the guy who came out was super nice and very informative.

The only complaint I have about the process is the follow-up with the person who's supposed to come out and make sure that everything is working correctly. There is a third visit that is supposed to happen and I left words with her a few weeks ago but I haven’t heard back. This particular woman and I have been texting back and forth though, so it’s not like no efforts have been made. But we can't seem to nail down a date where she is available and I’m available. The appointment also doesn’t seem like something that can happen on any given day at any given time. It’s gotta be as scheduled and it’s a little tricky because of her hours. Based on what she has told me, I don’t think she works for RainSoft full-time. I think she does it periodically.

So that has been a little frustrating for us and we feel like that’s part of what we paid for. The detergent is also part of the reason I was waiting for my follow-up. I’ve got a daughter who’s allergic to everything under the sun so I gotta have the fragrance-free, dye-free, extra gentle laundry detergent. From what I was told, I can swap out some of the detergents I was given and I was hopefully gonna swap out with her everything I have that has not been used. But other than that, the experience was really good. We’re happy with the product and we’re enjoying it. Having soft water has taken a little getting used to but other than that, it was fine. The detergents also take some getting used to and I haven’t quite mastered that yet. But my skin feels better and the clothes feel a little bit better too.

As soon as I saw what was coming out of the sink, I thought it was time to get a water treatment. But I was only gonna get it for drinking water. However, when he started telling me about the soft water, I went with that.

The team who installed the whole house system had to come out a couple of times. It was confusing. I had asked them to put the faucet on one side but they wound up putting it on the opposite side, and it’s too late to take it out. The electrician then put in the outlet, but when he put the outlet in, he put it on my switch for my light. When I turn off the light, the little power cord would turn off also for my AC. He had to come back and redo the wiring. Besides that, everything was fine.

So far, I am enjoying the system. The food and the coffee taste better. It's not as bitter as it used to. Also, after taking a shower, my skin is so much nicer. It’s softer. The clothing with the soap is great too. In addition to that, the salespeople were nice. They came out and gave me the whole tour of everything, including the guidelines. For the system and everything, I can tell the difference with Rainsoft. I would recommend them.

My son and I were shopping in JC Penney. He was the one who saw this packet and asked me if I wanna test the water. I asked him why we should test the water and he said we should go home and see what happens when we do it. He put water in a test tube and then he just left it. I asked him why is he gonna test it and have it sitting in the corner and not send it in. From there, RainSoft got it and they called us. They told us it's in Broward County, and started to get tested on the water. They told us that it seemed okay and asked if we were interested in somebody coming out to do a complete test on the water to show us where the levels are at and tell us what is healthy and safe. I told them that it's okay.

My experience with the rep from RainSoft was good. At first, I didn't know if he was just someone who was educating us, or it's a matter of he was a sales rep. But his presentation was amazing. He was young, and he just started himself, but he did a great job. So it's not a matter of convincing or there wasn't any pressure at all. It's a matter of, "Think about it, if you think it's something that you'd wanna do. Do you think long term, health-wise, the pipes and the copper and the stuff in the water, is this something you wanna keep digesting?" The savings involved in cleaning supplies and water were also explained. It wasn't a hard decision but it was an expensive one.

I got the system that's worth $6,900. The one that goes through the pipes, and I had it installed in the garage of this house. I didn't do the washer and dryer. I just do the one that has to do with the main water. Also, the installation was good. I had a leak afterwards so I called the technician. He came back and said he's gonna do a fix but it was a Band-Aid fix. My boyfriend knew exactly what was wrong, so I delivered the message to him because he does plumbing.

It so happened that the guy told me to watch it and see what happens. It didn't get any better. I called him up again and told him I needed it fixed properly and I didn't want a Band-Aid fix. The follow up and follow through with them was amazing. Since having the system installed, there has been a smooth feel of the water from the shower. I also drink water from the system every day. I even take a big bottle of water to work. Thus far, I have referred five people to RainSoft and one person has bought their system.
