RainSoft called my husband to check the water. Where we live, the water is really contaminated so he was already thinking about a water filter or softener. When he saw the opportunity, he said okay. RainSoft's rep was really good. He knew what he was talking about. I liked the presentation given and that is also why we were convinced. Since having the water softener installed, the water has been better for our stomach. We don’t have the stomach problems that we used to have before. When we take a bath, we feel our skin’s softer and my hair is beautiful now. I like the system very much because I think it’s a very good product and our health is better.

I don’t like the way the installers wired the system of our Rainsoft system. I wasn’t there to help during the installation and I would’ve done it differently. But it works well. We like it. Also the sales guy was really good, and the installer came the next day. So, it was quick. I recommend them.

We purchased a RainSoft conditioning system for the whole house. The reps were very flexible about the date and time of the consultation. They were very nice people and very impressive. The installer explained everything very clearly. It was very well done and I was also quite impressed with that. Since having RainSoft, everybody in the house notices the difference in our filtration in both our showers and in the drinking water. Laundry comes out better, too. Everything that’s been promised about it in the sales presentation is pretty much what we’re seeing. So, that part I’m very happy about. It’s just that thing about the money that I thought was a little too sneaky.
The initial offer was for ** and we eventually bought it for ** which is a very fair price. The system is excellent and we’re very happy with it. If somebody had accepted the initial offer, then the vendor is taking that ** as profit. Similar people in my situation would pay the initial offer for the same thing and may or may not feel they’re getting a good deal, but I don’t think that’s right. That left a bad taste in my mouth. One could also call it taking advantage of people and that made me a little uncomfortable. I don’t blame RainSoft for it but their vendor/licensee. Otherwise, people were friendly and the installer was excellent and cleaned-up after himself. I couldn’t have asked for it to be done better. I would recommend RainSoft. The product's very impressive, but I would counsel others about negotiating price and be real careful.

I've had a RainSoft system years ago, and it has been very helpful and a good experience. They offer lifetime warranty so we got another system. The sales rep was very good and not pushy at all. We've had the system for about two months now and the water seems hotter so we use less soap. We've had good luck with RainSoft and I'm happy with it.

RainSoft's customer service is all good. They came out, tested the water, and told us what we needed. The rep told us we didn't need a new water softener or anything. We just needed other water, and we just went with that. We bought a RainSoft water conditioner and the installation team was good. We don't use bottled water now that we have RainSoft. Our experience with them is great and we have recommended them.

It was an educational experience when salespeople from RainSoft came to our home. We did the whole house softening system and my wife said the installers were professional and they got the job done quickly. Having RainSoft, the difference is very noticeable. Dishes and showers no longer have hard water deposits.

We just had a new house and we wanted to find out what RainSoft was all about. With the sales representative's customer service and knowledge, we had an excellent experience. Then, the installation team did an excellent job. They were polite too. Now, we've noticed change in the taste of the water and it's softer. We're very happy with RainSoft.

We had RainSoft put in our home in 2017. We’ve had nothing but problems. It flooded our whole basement because it was installed incorrectly. $5,000 worth of damage and not one offering from them to remedy this. We paid out of pocket completely. They even tried to charge us for our service appointment! Then we went to fill the salt tank and it was filled with dirty water. We’ve had our appliances serviced recently and they said our water is still very hard. We are very disappointed. We keep calling to have it removed and they don’t call us back. We don’t want money back. We just want it gone. It’s been months and no one returns our calls. We get lied to and pushed aside. Don’t count on this company. I’m fearing it’s a scam.

I have had my Rainsoft Water treatment System since about 1990, two years after moving here. Our well water is loaded with iron and sulfur smell. Not a surprise as I grew up on the next farm down the road. Mom NEVER washed clothes at home because of the harsh water. Prior to the Rainsoft unit we had a brand x and my water tasted like iron, sulfur and salt and if you made coffee it looked like an oil slick. The Rainsoft that we purchased took away all of the nasty stuff. Ours was suddenly the best tasting in the area.
The computer head mechanics finally wore out. I bought a used unit and asked the local dealer to install it. The service manager was a real slick shyster or so he thought. After his guys did a half job I was put off for weeks while my plumbing was again loaded with iron. After a conversation with the owner I was repaired the next day. Long story short, great product, don't let some jerk mess with you. And buy your water filters in bulk.

We have hard water and we see the calcification building up on our water faucets. RainSoft came out, tested our water, showed it to us, and took us through it. It was a pleasant experience and they were professional. We ended up purchasing the system thereafter. Then, the installation guys were great, very accommodating, very flexible, talked me through everything, and did really well. However, we still haven’t received the free gift card for having the free water testing. Other than that, since having the system installed, the calcification is gone around our faucets and the water tastes better.

The sales rep from RainSoft was amazing. He was funny, awesome and showed us a lot about the water filtration system. However, we got the air purifier for the whole house due to allergies. Since we got it, we have less dust, less sneezing and it feels light and fresh in the house. We’ve had it for about six months and the filter is changed periodically for upkeep and maintenance. RainSoft is well worth the money and people should do it.

When we went to Home Depot and got our carpet done, we heard about RainSoft. Their rep set up the appointment then called to verify it. Then they showed up and in the end, we decided to buy their product. The guy doing that PVC pipe knew what he was doing. What he did was fun to watch and he left the site looking great. After the system was installed, it takes a lot more water to wash off soap now. When I’m in the bathroom and trying to take a three-minute shower, I gotta wait for a couple more washes before I can get the whole soap-feel off of me and I’m not used to that. But other than that, I’d do it again with RainSoft if I was given an opportunity.

All the heavy metals in the water concerned me and a water treatment system was something that I wanted to do. My cousin had a personal experience with RainSoft and referred them to me. I explored around all the good stuff they do in the water. I reached out to them and a representative came the next day. I got the water conditioner system and the reverse osmosis, and they got the system installed in two days. The water feels a lot better in the shower and I could drink water from the tap now. However, I never got any of the free cleaning supplies they talked about.

Two years ago we had this system installed. They did a really good job. This year we have tried twice to have them come up and service the system. They have failed both times to even show up. There was no phone call to say they were having trouble finding the place or anything. They had been to our place twice before, but refused to follow the directions to the house, depending instead on GPS. Told them several times GPS fails and will not go to or house. They have never showed up and have never called back. They are two months out in their service schedule and have wasted four months of our time. Time to give up on this company and find someone else who can follow directions.

I had a RainSoft softener when the kids were little. And I got a new one that I've been using for over a month now. The sales representatives from RainSoft who helped me were very helpful. They said they would give me a year of dishwashing liquid and soap for the washing machine, and they haven't yet. Other than that, the installers were very informative, fast and clean. I was at work and when I came home, they were through. Since having the new system, it's like there's still soap on my body when I rinse off. But it's a good change and it doesn’t feel bad. I like RainSoft.

I'm over 70 years old and I had a RainSoft in my house 35 years ago in another property. Down here, I walked through the Home Depot store and I was asked if I was interested in a demonstration again and I said yes. The sales guy was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and he did a really nice job. I got the EC5 and I did the whole house and the guy who installed it worked really hard. I helped him a bit to get done but that wasn't a big deal. He did a fine job as well and he did everything right. I’d recommend RainSoft.

Updated on 4/19/2019: Bill called and we talked. He says will do his very best to get my water and this situation straightened out. It was nice to talk to a reasonable person. Maybe after the appointment it will be 5 stars. I do appreciate his time and effort.
Original Review: I called the office to have someone look at my system. When I told them what the sticker (who sold us the system) said, I was told I must deal with them. I said I buy my salt from you. Asked if I used the osmosis system. I said no I liked the water from the tap. Tasted better to me. The osmosis was what my husband preferred. She jumped my case and said I should not be able to taste a difference. Husband is 3 years passed. She said I would have to deal with the original sellers. Said "Bill will call..." Two days later no call, no Bill the RainSoft guy. If you must deal with these people Don't talk to Maxine and don't wait for Bill to call. Lower Central Michigan.

The water test is a scam! Don't fall for it. I had the water tested at a laboratory after the pushy sales scam. I was asked by a rep at Home Depot to get a free water test. I was new to the area and wanted to have my water tested. I homebrew beer and needed a baseline as to what total dissolved solids (TDS) were in my water. When contacted by RainSoft I realized what I was in for and told the rep. I didn't need a water system - just the water test. She insisted the water tech would be at my home to test my water. Fine. Let's see how this goes.
I was given the spiel on how terrible the water was in my area from the public water supply. He then took 2 samples and added the same chemical to each and told me the test proved my water without treatment was as bad on the scale as the worst water in the country. We shouldn't be drinking it! I asked what was the Total dissolved solid count (TDS). He replied, "We have our own test and scale only used by RainSoft and it doesn't give the TDS". When I questioned this as TDS is the measurement of hard water used by every water Lab in the world. I decided to send him packing. I then sent my water to Ward Laboratories and for a small charge got a real water test. Our water is Excellent with just 280 TDS. Some of the best public water in the country. Don't be fooled, Don't waste your time and Don't ever buy from RainSoft. If you need to treat your water there are real solutions for far less money. But start with a water test from a real Lab!

The purification and good water led us to research water treatment systems. We also had a little to deal with on our icebox in this house that we had re-worked. We got a filter on our icebox for refrigerator and hope that was enough. My wife found RainSoft on the internet. Their installers and the guy that came to check the filters were all great. However, it feels like you can't get the soap off you, but they tell me that's the way it is. My water pressure also dropped a little bit. I told them about it, but they said that they didn't understand why. When they checked their lines, it's open all the way. We have to maintain the salt in the system and bypass it whenever we're watering the yard or the flower beds.

I've had a RainSoft unit for years. I've had the unit for a long time and the local company here had gone out of business. The Orlando-based outfit sort of took over this area and they had become more annoying than anything. They kept calling me over and over again to schedule service calls when I had already made it abundantly clear to them that I wanted them out here in the fall of every year and that was it. It was just the way things were handled from the office. I switched to Charlotte County Water and I've been using them for a few years. With Charlotte, I have not had that problem. They’ve been very polite and professional. They’ve been extremely good to deal with so far, both the people in the office and the representative who came out to the house.
When I was starting to have problems with water pressure, I had to look at a couple of different possibilities. We narrowed it down to the softening unit and I contacted RainSoft about the service. We then discussed the upgrade for the system and made a decision to go ahead with it. When techs came out to work on my new system, they got right to it and they explained what they were doing. Since then, my water system seems to be performing fine. I'm satisfied with my upgrade and I would recommend RainSoft.

We knew shortly after we moved into our house that we were gonna get a water system eventually because we have well water and it has a very high iron content. We had a RainSoft sales rep who was very informative and she was not pushy. She just laid things out and answered the questions nicely and thoroughly. It was a good experience. Our installer was all right too. But he was late because he supposedly had a flat tire and he had some issues getting the pump back on. Other than that, he did his job. Since having RainSoft the steams in my toilets and showers are not as bad and definitely tells it is soft water.

He knew what he needed to know. I'm very satisfied with the water treatment system I got. They said I would have to put salt in it after so long and I'm waiting to decide how long I should wait to do it. I'm sure the machine would tell me. I recommend the water softener completely. Also, everyone that came out was very polite.

We bought this system a year ago and, so far it has worked well, except that it drains a lot of water when it recycles itself, and that is...nobody knows. Every time I call to have them fix something is $110 just to come and see. To change the filters is $110 plus the filters, to clean the salt deposit, $ 110, and so on. I called their corporate offices and they won´t do anything not even if it is a problem with the equipment, all has to go through the dealer and, everything costs $110. My water pressure is down and I cannot wash clothes so I will be paying them another $110 just to come and see if it can be fixed. So, if you buy this system be aware of around $300-500 a year for visits.

We lived in the Houston area and we had a RainSoft system before we moved here. We brought the system with us and Quality Water serviced us. Our system in Houston was more complicated, but the guy came here, put in our system and it was easy to follow. He did an excellent job and he was good at communicating. We had to have a soft water system because of chemical build-up and it can destroy our washing machine. We have build-up when we turn the water on, especially in the bathroom, and there are so many things in the water that we had to have the system. Also, it is better for us to have filter water. I got all of RainSoft's products and I also got new filters, but they cost a lot of money.
We are in a new home and they had the soft water system placed in the garage. On the other side of the wall, I have a bedroom which happens to be the bedroom where my daughter sleeps in. She was here watching the thing go off at 2 o'clock in the morning and she could not sleep. Ever since then, when I know that she is coming, I would go out in the garage, a day or two before, to see if I could go ahead and run it. While she's here, it doesn't wake her up. I'm looking forward to doing business with the installer when he comes out and services the system again. The first time that I had to run the system, I called him up and he talked to me on the phone and walked me through it. I ran it after that. I recommend Rainsoft. I wrote a good thing for RainSoft and for the installer and it was sent to Better Business Bureau. RainSoft responded and appreciated and thanked me for what I had done.

We purchased the system about 8 years ago through Home Depot and was told it would last a lifetime and if we ever moved they would move it with us. Well let me tell you, every year we pay at least $300 for servicing it and last year they told us the system was no good, we need a new one and there is no other dealer around. Just this company that service it and we would have to purchase another unit. Do not purchase this system. Try someone else please. They installed the system under our house and have it in our kitchen however the water is salty and the system does not work anymore.

PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT! This company is a nightmare. After 8 months of numerous technicians visiting our house and telling us that our equipment is working fine, we finally found out from the lead tech that the equipment was never installed properly. Added bonus, the only faucet in the entire house that is dispensing clean water is our downstairs powder bathroom. Great! So after 8 months of being lied to, repeated cancellations and reschedules from techs, countless wasted Saturdays dealing with these jokers, and the warranty on our plumbing being voided on our brand new 2018 house we finally asked them to uninstall the equipment & refund our 7k. Nope, they won't do it. Instead they told us to file a claim with Home Depot Corporate. Fine. Did that.
3 days later the owner of HWS, Donovan Adfield, called me and he was completely irate because I filed a claim. What? He was so hostile and menacing that I had to ask him not to call me ever again. I immediately called Home Depot Corporate and reported Mr. Adfield and expressed my concern about this company ever contacting us again and especially ever stepping foot on our property.
I am SERIOUSLY scared of this guy! Honest to goodness folks, please do not buy their equipment. Aside from being corrupt and engaging in terrible (if not illegal) business practices, their customer service is awful and they cannot be trusted in your home. I am still stunned that a business owner would speak to a woman & customer in the manner I was spoken to. Do not let anyone from this company into your home. There is no telling what kind of harassment, threats, bullying and damage to your home you will incur. STAY AWAY! P.S: This company openly admitted on recorded calls, that they have fired 2 technicians for lying to us about our equipment working when it wasn't, thus admitting that HWS is at fault and they STILL refuse to refund us our 7k because and I quote "We can't resell the equipment."

We are on a well and even though I had a system already in, I was still concerned about the water. There was a thing in Home Depot to test your water, so we did that and we got involved with RainSoft. We set up an appointment when my husband and I were there, and the people at RainSoft came out, and it was great. They were very nice. Eric was the one that installed the system and there were no issues. He took out my old system and he put the new system in. He didn’t have one of the parts of the system, so we had to wait on that, but it wasn’t an issue. As soon as it came in, he put it in.
I went with the whole house filtering and I also have a filtering system underneath the sink that I can get drinking water. The water tastes good and there is no smell or discoloration. The water is much better. I don’t have to buy bottled water anymore. However, I had an issue with discoloration from my dishwater. Some of the hardness was not inputted correctly into the system, so I had a whiteness on my black stuff that was in the dishwasher, plus I had a leak from the stuff that the tech put in from the plumbing. However, they came out and fixed it, and everything looks good. They are very on top of things and I like it.

I would not recommend this system to anyone. Rainsoft customer service alone is among the worst I've ever had to deal with. We met a representative at Home Depot that talked us into a home visit in which we would receive a $50 gift card. They showed up and did their whole water test, which is completely different from the way the system actually works in terms of water purity. The water seemed to be cleaner like the tests showed but that went away in about a week. When they gave us the gift card it was for $20, not the $50 that was originally promised. These people don't give a damn about you and just want your money in their pockets.

I found my original system in a Greensheet newspaper for $200, so I called on it and inquired about it because I knew my friends paid several thousand dollars for their system. The man bought the system for his wife as a present, but she didn’t like it and they ended up moving. The guy threw it out on the corner where a lady could do whatever she wanted with it. I called RainSoft and they said they charge $25 for diagnostics. So, I could be out $225 or I could have a $4,000 system for $225. We took the risk and took the system over to RainSoft and there wasn’t anything wrong with it. It just needed a few O-rings replaced and we had somebody come out and install it.
When I am using the RainSoft system, it cut my use of shampoos and conditioners in half. The spots on the shower doors are also very minimal. I've upgraded over the years and when we moved, we decided to move the system with us. The water down here is so horrible that we've had them put a carbon tank on the house, so that helps tremendously. However, I am not sure if we have the softener just right because I am still getting a lot of spots on all my clean dishes, which I've never had in the past. The water feels okay, but I am not used to having all the spots, so I am still trying to work with the tech to get those worked out.

Then the RainSoft reps I dealt with couldn't have been any better either. They were very nice and professional. Even with the RainSoft system, the water tastes and looks the same but I assume it’s better for me so I use it for drinking and cooking. We had just built this house and we have well water here. We were very concerned about living in a rural area and having well water. There are a lot of farms around here. A couple of days later, RainSoft called and then their rep, Dorothy, came the very same day and she did a water test. She talked to us about the product and what it would do for us.
The installation went smoothly and the gentleman was very informative and knowledgeable. It was an easy process and it didn’t take him long at all. Since then, my skin feels softer and I definitely noticed a difference as far as my hair not feeling as dry. When I take a shower, it doesn’t take as much product to use. We were in a JCPenney in Aurora, Colorado and RainSoft Water Treatment Systems had the water test for free. We could grab one and test our water, so we did it. We came home and tested our water. RainSoft sent a representative out after they got our results to explain to us all about our water, the hardening, and the softening. We didn’t need a softener at all, but we got the filter. The sales rep that came out was new. We were his third or fourth presentation, but he did very well. He was here longer than he was planning to be here. He tried really hard and did a really good job answering our questions. If he couldn’t answer our questions, he immediately got on the phone with somebody to get them answered.
The installation, on the other hand, was a bit different. We ended up having two days of having the installer come out and the note that the sales rep took while he was here didn’t get transferred to the installer, so when he got on site, he wasn’t prepared for our type of house and where we wanted to put our unit. We were also told that since we don’t have a basement, the unit would sit outside and that RainSoft would be building the shelter that it would sit in. The installer was only able to install part of the system, then he had to come out later. We had to make a compromise on where the unit would fit. Now, the unit sits on our dining room, so it looks like we have a silver torpedo in our dining. He ended up cutting our phone lines when he drilled the holes through the floor to run the pipes and we had the phone company come out and fix that. We were also told that the pipes would not freeze, but they ended up freezing one night.
I had to get electric heaters underneath the house to get everything thawed. Also, when he put the stuff in under the sink, when he rerouted our dishwasher drain and put the drain for the filtration system in, it was backing up into my dishwasher and causing the dishwasher to go into a drain cycle every time we would use the water system. The installation was a bit more frustrating than the sales rep. We also had another guy come out the day after the install because the water was gray. We weren’t informed it could be gray for a while until all the sediments and stuff inside the tank worked its way out in the line. We ended up having another guy come out and do a bit more explanation on that.
The guy that came out and did the install was a little frustrated because he didn’t know all the information. He felt very unprepared when he came out. But he was very friendly to talk to and eager to work with us. He did some stuff above and beyond what he would have had to have done. Overall, the guys have been really good. We can call them up and we get an answer back right away, or they send a tech out within 24 hours. We are 45 miles from the nearest major city and they are still trying to get somebody out here to take care of us, so I am pleased.
Now that everything is settled, the water quality has been tons better. We can drink our water and our ice is so much better. We can ice, so we don’t have to buy bagged ice now. We don’t have to buy bottled water that much. We buy some just to have on hand in case the waterline freezes or we are going somewhere. Overall, we are very happy with the system and I would recommend the system to anybody in our small town.

I wanted to get our water tested and setting up the consultation with the RainSoft sales rep was great. He was very knowledgeable and very down-to-earth. He showed me everything I needed to know. The water test showed that our water was a little cloudy compared to the RainSoft. We purchased the RO system and the conditioner. The installation took a couple of hours. The guys were really cool and awesome. Since then, the drinking water is much clearer and the glasses and all the dishes come out from the dishwasher cleaner.

I was wandering through Home Depot and this very nice guy asked me a survey about water. He took my information and I got a call from RainSoft. Since I work in the Marine Pollution Environment, I probably know more about water than the average bear. I had recently moved to Texas and I knew my water wasn’t great. I also knew that I didn’t have a softener. I then decided to go get one.
The reps at Rainsoft have been fabulous. The salesman was the best. Robert, my installer, came out and spent the day with me installing my system. After my system was installed, I had about a week of problems where it dripped and alarms went off and the system shut down. It did multiples times so Robert came back with a senior installer and looked at the problem. They realized that there was a component that they had installed that was bad. They also found a leak under my sink, so they fixed everything and since then, it’s been perfect. It took them 10 days for everything to work properly. Since the Rainsoft system was installed, my water tastes better. My water even feels better and I’m hoping that it’s doing good things for my water-needed appliances.
Getting a Rainsoft system is like buying the Cadillac. I probably didn’t realize I was buying the Cadillac at the time, but they have absolutely lived up to their service promises and everybody has been super nice and professional. I would do it again even with the fact that I had issues right up front. Everything they did was perfectly great for me.

In one of my few shopping trips at Sam's Club, RainSoft had the free water testing vial. We just moved from a property where we had our own well into one that had a public water supply and I wanted to see what kind of water we had. The water testing experience was all good. We took a water sample out of the faucet and mail it in and they sent me a summary report and offered to have someone come by to talk to you about my water. I agreed and the sales rep was nice and knowledgeable. The rep educated me a lot of different components of the water. It was all very positive.
I ended up investing in the whole house filtration system. It’s an investment but the chlorine levels and the hardness in our water and the damage to the appliances were horrible. We couldn’t even tolerate it after running it through a ZeroWater filter. I got the reverse osmosis and the carbon filters and some kind of antibacterial treatment that comes right into the kitchen water faucet for drinking and cooking. The whole house system addresses the hardness of the water and the mineral build-up in the appliances. It’s a good system and we’ve been happy with it. There's no odor or taste. It even goes to the refrigerator so it takes care of the house as well.
The installation was fast. A nice man came out and within a few hours, he had it all installed. He walked me through using and maintaining it. Before the system was installed, my husband wouldn’t even use the water even after we ran it through the ZeroWater filter. He wouldn't use it to rinse his mouth. I had to buy spring water because he was so sensitive. The smell and taste remained after we ran the water through the ZeroWater filter. Now, he can draw his rinse water when brushing his teeth right out of the sink faucet, and he’s fine with it. Other than that, the reps at RainSoft were friendly. If I had a question or two and I call or email it to them, they were right on top of it.

I got mail from Home Depot that said to call. I did and the nice lady asked if I liked my water. I told her I would happy to have someone come out. When you buy a house, you need to get water treatment because the pipes will go after a while, even if they're PVC. I had my initial consultation with Donald. I'm a pretty straight shooter so I said to let me see the water and not give me his spiel. He did his tests and all the stuff he was supposed to do. I was putting together a dining room table and paying attention while my wife was sitting there. I told him that I wanted to know what I was drinking because I know it wasn't good. He tested some ice cubes because we don't have a filter on our fridge.
I already knew we needed the system. I told Donald to just give me a price. When he wrote the initial number down, I said he could walk out right then. Donald was very honest, upfront, and respectful of my family. He didn't seem to be shady in any way, shape, or form. That was a big thing to establish trust and rapport. He said that somebody was gonna come out and see me and that was the guy I sign the paperwork with.
Two days later, someone came and put in the system outside. That evening, a gentleman came and brought another water testing kit so he could show me the outside, inside and how much stuff had been removed. He also brought out the paperwork. You can tell that the water tastes cleaner. The chlorine is not there anymore. Plus, there is no buildup in the shower or on the tubs. The clothes smell fresher. We had some issues with the dishwasher though. They don't tell you a lot of things like you can't use the pods when you have a whole home purification system because it uses less soap which was why they give you the soap to use. The dishwasher wasn't drying dishes because it was filling up with soap. That was a lesson learned.
We were told to use what they gave us, but we still had stuff left over so my wife just used what we had. The warranty guy came and showed me how much soap was in there after a quick rinse. I said that no wonder nothing was dry. I like the shampoo and soap. My kids are still leery because they're hell-bent on what they've been using. The amount you have to use the laundry soap to get the same effect as you would when you use a normal detergent is awesome. I've recommended RainSoft to others.

He waited and was very patient with the whole process and understanding of a busy household. He was also knowledgeable and we appreciated that.
We have a whole-home water conditioning system from RainSoft and we're definitely noticing a difference in the way our clothes feel and smell. We're noticing a difference in our skin as well. I've noticed a big difference since I got the RainSoft system. If I take a shower at the house, it’s like my skin feels like it’s shining. It's like something smooth is over my skin. It's completely different when I go somewhere else to shower. Everything is good as it is. But RainSoft could throw in some better products that the customer could get when they do purchase it. Our next-door neighbor had put in a water softening system and we were considering it. When we had this condominium built and we moved from Dickson to Murfreesboro, I noticed right away that there were all kinds of water spots, especially on my dishes when I would wash them. I thought it was because of the dishwasher so we replaced it. But on my faucet and the little drain thing, I also noticed spots and calcium build-up. I would have to scrub it off just after a week. So I knew that there was something wrong. The water was really hard.
Since having the RainSoft system installed, I have noticed a huge difference. The dishes are sparkling and they don’t have water spots all over them. It’s unbelievable. Everything is great. We haven’t even had to put any salt in the system yet. There’s an app that you can put on the phone and you can tell whether the system needs salt or if there’s something wrong. Our electricity had also gone out a couple times, just flickering because they’re still building around here, and the app also gives you a notice on the phone that the electricity is out. The sales reps that we had dealt with were also wonderful. They were honest and they do what they say they’re going to. The installers were top-notch too. We got the two tanks that go in the basement, one that’s full of salt and the other one with the little pebbles. Then we got the one for the drinking water that goes under the sink. The installers came in the evening and were done in three hours. They were downstairs cutting the pipe and tying everything back in, and when they left, they explained everything to me, like how to shut it off if I needed to. Cleaning the bathtub and the toilets practically required a hammer and chisel. It was building up and although I would get it cleaned, I had to swab it out every single day to keep it from building up. I knew I had a problem. I had also tried to get a water softener before but because of the way my house is built with the zero-property line, the water softener would have been on my neighbor's property and I couldn't do it.
When I spoke with the RainSoft representative, he was saying, "Well, you do it today or you don't get this wonderful five years' worth of supplies, which is better than a sharp stick in the eye." It was agony because I had just spent $10,000 on repairs on my house. But I knew I wanted it and I had not heard anything negative about the company so I did it. I got the whole-home system plus the drinking water, and I've financed it for the time being. They said the cleaning would be easy but it's even easier than I expected. We moved from a home that didn't have very good water from wherever it was coming from. We noticed a lot of calcium build-up on the faucets over time. There was a lot of hard water stains on the glass door from the shower and rings around the toilet on the inside. We couldn't get most of that stuff off to save our lives. We just purchased a home and moving into it, we didn't want to have any of those issues.
When we were approached to get our water tested, we figured it was not gonna hurt. Crystal came over and did water tests. When we saw the results of the water test, we were kind of a little shocked. I was pretty sure there was gonna be a lot of hard water and a lot of minerals in the water that we probably did not need to be having inside of our appliances, pipes, and ultimately for us to drink. Crystal explained everything to us and kind of demonstrated what the RainSoft water softening system was going to do for us. We got to see and feel the results. After that, we were like, "Wow!" This is something that we kinda wanted to move forward with.
Two gentlemen, Mike and Brian, came over and they installed our water system. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I got to talk with them a lot and found out that they both have a water softening system in their own homes and have had it for multiple years. To me, that said a lot of pretty good things. They were selling a good product and the people who work for the company also have the exact same product that they were selling and installing. Mike and Brian asked where the system could be installed. They asked how to orient the tanks with the computer screen so I was really involved with them from the get-go. It was a really pleasant experience with the installation. The system looks really good too.
With RainSoft, we noticed our skin feels a lot softer. Our skin doesn't feel really tight when we get out of the shower as where we used to. So far, I haven't had to do any maintenance on the system. I went out to the garage the other week where it's installed, and everything checked out to be fine. RainSoft will be sending out a reminder as filters need to be changed. We also have the reverse osmosis system under the sink. I think those filters need to be changed about once a year and it would be every three to five years for the charcoal in the garage. I'll have to add salt to the system periodically too, but they filled up the tub with salt and I'm still well over halfway on my salt level. I've had a really good experience.

The salesman from RainSoft came, discussed the product and showed it to me. It went well for the most part except it seems that he had given me some information that was not fully correct. I searched it and read the information online, and there were two bits of information specifically. One was about the cleaning product that they offer. Initially, there was going to be a five-year supply that you get once a year. What he told us was that we would get it on an ongoing basis once we have the equipment. But he did not mention that we have to do referrals and have so many referrals to qualify for it. Although that was not the trigger for which we bought the equipment, that was something that he said that was not correct and I’m disappointed with that information.
The other thing was that we were talking about the system that apparently was discontinued. The equipment that I eventually got is the one that you access through the software online through your phone. But there was one which we were talking about that I didn’t need access to that. It was probably a more economical value system but apparently, that was not being offered at the time. So I had to end up with a higher cost system.

Also, I cannot get the RainSoft machine to connect with my phone to remind me about refilling it with salt. Nevertheless, RainSoft is definitely a great product and I advise anybody to put it in their house.

We're having a great time with our RainSoft water system. I didn't think there was a problem with our water before, but after going through their little sales pitch, it has made sense. I like RainSoft's products, and the reps were fine. The gentleman who did the installation was very efficient, kind and helpful. It took him about an hour to put everything together, and he cleaned up after himself. With RainSoft, our water is much clearer and nicer now. We feel cleaner and the clothes are better.

Since having the system installed, the dryness of my skin has gone down tremendously. I was a big tap water drinker so I did not really notice a lot from a taste perspective but from a peace of mind perspective, I feel a lot better drinking RainSoft water.

My husband picked up a card at Home Depot and filled it out, and then we got a call from a RainSoft representative. A guy named Drew came and he did an amazing job. It was just a very good experience. It was very informative, low-key and low pressure. He went through the reverse osmosis under the sink and water conditioning systems and we've purchased both. Since installing RainSoft, I’ve been having more peace of mind that we're not using the very contaminated water that we had. We’re enjoying having RainSoft for health benefits and we're looking forward to a lot of positive things about it.

My husband went to get a filter at Home Depot for our refrigerator. This girl had set-up a little desk and she was chatting away. We found out it was about the water and she asked if we wanted a free water evaluation. We thought we were in good shape as we had a filter under the sink and used a faucet on the top of the sink that we used for any filtered water we wanted to drink. The rep from RainSoft was wonderful. He gave us all the time in the world. He didn’t act rushed, answered any question we had, and knew his product. He was just great. We got the whole house water conditioning system and then they have a separate one which absolutely filters the water out all the lead and the chlorine.
The installer came a day after we had paid for it, which is really nice because we were gonna wait 10 days. He knew what he was doing and answered all our questions. The service is great. Since having RainSoft, there’s a softness on our skin whenever we shower. We would tell others to go ahead and buy from RainSoft if they feel like they can afford it. We hedged on the price. My husband did that. But then RainSoft said they’ve got a couple of demonstrators that they use at fairs and at home fairs and they just go back in the box. So we paid less than what they offered, and they negotiated with us. I would also tell others that we’re thrilled with the system. Our health is really better using it, and I’ve also noticed in cleaning that we don’t get the suds that people get in the shower and have to clean up. Also, our shower is much cleaner.

We have really hard water and we’ve had to replace a lot of our appliances because of it, so we began looking into getting a water treatment system. The RainSoft sales representative who came out was great. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and there was no high pressure, so we felt really good about the experience. At one point, I thought about checking with somebody else, but after the presentation, I felt like we were doing the right thing going with RainSoft. We got the water infiltration system that goes for the house and we also did the drinking water. The installation experience was also very good and it took around three or four hours. Since having the system, there has absolutely been a difference in our water.

First of all we did enjoy the system. It did improve the quality of the water and help with skin issue my children were experiencing. Our issue was with how the release line that was ran through the attic. The line was improperly installed and with it causing the line to crimp over a rafter and when it released the pressured water at night it cause nearly 3000 dollars worth of damage. We tried to file this with Home Depot and they use the RainSoft company to determine the cause and it was determined by Rainsoft who installed it that it was a defective line.
That was not what I saw when I check it was crimped over a rafter which more than likely to be the cause of line to crack. I was also told to claim it on my insurance which my deductible was half the amount to avoid insurance premiums from going up. It was all out of pocket. Again would have bought another one since we left it in our rental property and was planning to buy another but have serious reservation due to the installation issue that occurred.

We have to have a water softener where we live and we had someone from Home Depot come out when we moved to a new house. The representative that came was great, although the problem that I have with RainSoft is the way that they described the financing. It was very misleading and when my husband and I got the bill, we wound up paying more. We owed more than what we originally financed because of the interest charges. We were paying more in interest, $113, and $13 is going to the principal. It has to change the way that it is directed to the customer. I paid it off last week with all my tax return and commissions my husband had, so I won't get stuck with that bill.
Either it was not explained well enough or the rep was not well-versed in what he was talking about as far as the financing part goes. I had financed everything else with no interest for five years, equal payments, and I was expecting RainSoft to be something similar to that, but I got the bill and I had a heart attack. The financing thing threw me for a loop and turned me off to it. They are really expensive, but we are really happy with. We set the system up the day after we moved in and I could definitely tell a difference.

We drink a lot of water but when we moved to Florida, we realized we couldn't drink the faucet water so we were buying a lot of water in the store. That was one reason for which we had already considered getting a water system. But my wife set up the initial meeting with RainSoft to have the water tested and having the water tested and seeing what was in it cemented the fact that we needed to get it done. The representative went through a lot of different examples and showed us the difference between what was coming out of the sink and what could be coming out of the sink if we got the service. He was very knowledgeable and he even tested our bottled water because I wanted to know what was in that as well.
We got the second tier product that was to do with the softener and the installer was very friendly and personable. I thought it was gonna be hard to find those blocks of salt that I needed for the water softener but it was easy. So everything's running fine and smoothly. Everything is great. The system conditions the water and removes the impurities for the whole house. The water itself tastes different which is a plus because I would never drink faucet water. We also have an ice maker so that definitely helps to always have cold water. We don't have to worry about purchasing gallons in bottled water anymore.

He showed me the difference and what the actual benefits of having the system were. I purchased the outdoor box thing. However, the installation team was not so hot. They didn’t hook up my unit correctly and they made a big mess in my front yard, burying in the pipes or wires that they needed to do. I contacted the place because it was giving me an alarm all the time because it wasn’t hooked up correctly.
They sent someone out who said that a part was bad, and they set me up in another appointment for someone to come out and replace that part. The guy came out to replace the part and said that it wasn’t the part that was bad, it just wasn’t hooked up right. All in all, it took me two weeks to get it installed because I was waiting on other people to come out to verify and fix the problems that weren’t completed right the first time. I see no difference whatsoever since having the system installed and I don’t know if the water is cleaner. It doesn’t even feel like it has changed at all.

However, I wish RainSoft had let us know that if we wanted to have a concrete pad poured, we had to contact someone to do it. I don’t like the fact the product is just sitting on the ground. I'd rather we had a concrete pad for the product to sit on, like an air conditioning unit does, so that the product stays level, which is important. And when they come to change out the one tank, it would be easier. They don’t have to dig anything out. They would just remove the tank and that would be it. The installers were good though. They came out and worked hard. It was raining and the ground was muddy. They had to dig a trench to bury some pipe. The app took time because I have to reconnect it to my phone, but I can go to the app and it'll tell me if there’s something wrong. The only thing is RainSoft shows you how much you can save, and there’s this thing about going to a website for coupons and you could save 20% on your groceries. And you have to pay for the coupons, and that wasn’t really explained ahead of time. So, to us, it’s not really worth the value.

RainSoft had the individual filter for drinking water that we were looking for, while the other one we had wasn’t getting the job done, and the water was tasting real salty. The rep of RainSoft was fantastic and covered all the questions. He spent almost two hours here at the house and tested our water, and then compared it to what it did with their system. The person who installed was also great. He came out and did it fairly faster. When he got finished, he explained everything to us and showed us, especially with the filters. He was very thorough and knew what he was doing. There has been a big difference since. You can tell the difference on the skin and with the water and soap. Overall, the guy who came out sold the product and then once we got it installed, the product sold itself.

We bought a Hydrefiner water filtration system from Rainsoft. My wife was the one who invited Home Depot to our home and Mark was the rep who came. He marketed the product, did a water test, and took samples. He was good. He, however, told me that they were going to extend the line to the fridge but when the people came in for the installation, they didn't do that. But then the product is good. Ever since we've had it, the water has been very good and we don't buy water anymore. It's a good product to have.

There was a company who came to my house before and introduced RainSoft to me. They tested my water but at the time, I could not afford to purchase the system. After that, when I went to Home Depot, somebody introduced RainSoft to me again. This time, I decided to purchase their product because I knew that our water quality here was poor. They were supposed to give me a water filter for my pipe and I haven't received that one. But the rest of the equipment that I got are pretty okay.
Since we got RainSoft, the water tastes softer and cleaner. When I bathe, the moisture in my skin is not as dried out as it was before. Also, my wife used to have a rash and I noticed that since we started using RainSoft, it is not that prevalent. So, those are the little things I'm seeing and I hope it's not a mind over matter sort of thing. I even recommended RainSoft to people and they have been going there. In fact, I have a friend who purchased from them through my recommendation.

I was looking into buying a new house and I had the water tested. It failed for E. coli, cholera, bacteria, and lead. I had the Triple Duos and failed for all four tests. I was trying to find a company that could correct the system before I make an offer on the house. I was given the names of a couple of companies in the area and RainSoft was one of the companies that came out. I had gotten different estimates and opted to go with RainSoft. I had three different companies come out. One explained everything in their terminology and I had no idea what they were talking about.
The RainSoft reps were very easy to work with. They explained everything to a layman who doesn’t understand the problems with water and what’s involved in it. They explained everything in detail as to how the different systems would work so it’s drinkable water and how it would fix the problems. There are a couple things I didn’t understand though, but I had decided upon them and it really didn’t make a difference. I was stuck with the way the system was. I didn’t realize that correcting for the lead in the water would be a completely different system. You only put it on a faucet that you’re gonna drink from. I wanted it on everything in the house so that I can go drink the water in the bathroom or the water outside from a garden hose, but it’s so expensive to do it that way.
RainSoft was the only company that was willing to do what I wanted. I have a rancher, but it’s a modular house and there is no basement underneath of it. There’s a crawlspace. All the houses I’ve looked at or people that I know that have the system have a basement and everything is physically in the basement. The filters are also in the basement.
I was trying to get everything put into a closet in the third bedroom or on one of the inside walls in that particular bedroom if it wouldn’t fit in the closet because of size constraint. I was trying to get it, so I don’t have to crawl underneath the house to try to change filters or to physically check to see if the system is working. The owner wasn’t sure if the technician could do it. When the technician came out, I explained to him the situation. I am handicapped and I can’t crawl. If I gotta go underneath the house, I gotta sit on my butt to pull myself backward. I was trying to make it convenient for me to be able to check the system and change filters on my own instead of paying somebody else to do it. He was able to explain to me how it was gonna go.
The house has water coming from a well. For some strange reason, whoever put this house up decided to put the main water shut-off in the rear back corner of the house and you gotta crawl from one end of the house all the way to the other end to shut the water off. To me, the main shut-off valve should be placed near where it comes out of the ground or where it first comes into the house. The RainSoft technician put a master shut-off in the closet, just before the entire system. I was very happy with the work he did. He was also very helpful in explaining the entire system to me, how it works, and how I need to maintain it.
The water looks clearer now and it's drinkable. I had asked for an additional test just to have my own peace of mind after the installation was done and they did. They sent me the results and it showed that everything is below what the acceptable levels are. I wouldn’t say crystal clear water, but I have clean water. I would highly recommend RainSoft to anybody that has similar problems.

We moved into a new house and with our past experience with the water here, it’s just hard water. We didn’t wanna have to deal with new pipes and new hardware anymore. After all these years, we wanted to try a water softener. A saleslady from RainSoft came to our home and did a water test, and it was very enlightening. She did a good job. She was really nice and very informative, and we booked ourselves the same day. We also liked the fact that the warranty that comes with it. Plus with the special that was going on at the time, she threw in some different types of laundry soap and detergents as part of our package. That was really nice. I appreciated that. The installation also went really well and the guy who came out was super nice and very informative.
The only complaint I have about the process is the follow-up with the person who's supposed to come out and make sure that everything is working correctly. There is a third visit that is supposed to happen and I left words with her a few weeks ago but I haven’t heard back. This particular woman and I have been texting back and forth though, so it’s not like no efforts have been made. But we can't seem to nail down a date where she is available and I’m available. The appointment also doesn’t seem like something that can happen on any given day at any given time. It’s gotta be as scheduled and it’s a little tricky because of her hours. Based on what she has told me, I don’t think she works for RainSoft full-time. I think she does it periodically.
So that has been a little frustrating for us and we feel like that’s part of what we paid for. The detergent is also part of the reason I was waiting for my follow-up. I’ve got a daughter who’s allergic to everything under the sun so I gotta have the fragrance-free, dye-free, extra gentle laundry detergent. From what I was told, I can swap out some of the detergents I was given and I was hopefully gonna swap out with her everything I have that has not been used. But other than that, the experience was really good. We’re happy with the product and we’re enjoying it. Having soft water has taken a little getting used to but other than that, it was fine. The detergents also take some getting used to and I haven’t quite mastered that yet. But my skin feels better and the clothes feel a little bit better too.

The sales rep was awesome too. He was younger, and my wife and I are relatively young. So he knew how to talk to us, compared to someone who would've been older. He said he had some people in the area and they put them with the clientele based on age and what they think would be the best fit. And I think they did very well with that. We got the water conditioning system and when it was installed, the guy was gone within about an hour. He cleaned up too. And that’s all I could have asked for. The beginning stuff with RainSoft was great. The scheduling was fine and easy, and they came out when they were supposed to. The gentleman that came out and tested my water was awesome. He was informative and did a really good job. He could answer all the questions and was very thorough. I purchased the filtration system, the softener and the alkaline system. The first Installer was really nice, really good and informative. I liked him a lot. He started the work, but he couldn't finish it that day, so a different set of people came back out.
The second team was also very nice and professional, but they disregarded the things that I said. What I was getting, what I asked for, and where it would go were all set up. Everything was laid out. The first guy had started the work and did exactly what everybody had discussed, but when the second team came out, I was supposed to have copper piping, but they put in PVC. I told them three times that it was supposed to be a copper pipe and I told them where the extra spigot was supposed to go, but they didn't do either of those things. RainSoft took care of the issues and corrected them. Now, the water is softer and the taste is better. The clarity is better, so I definitely feel better about my water.

The water wasn’t looking too good to me, so I wanted to test it. Someone from RainSoft called and then another person came out and did the water test. He was nice and he explained everything. As soon as I saw what was coming out of the sink, I thought it was time to get a water treatment. But I was only gonna get it for drinking water. However, when he started telling me about the soft water, I went with that.
The team who installed the whole house system had to come out a couple of times. It was confusing. I had asked them to put the faucet on one side but they wound up putting it on the opposite side, and it’s too late to take it out. The electrician then put in the outlet, but when he put the outlet in, he put it on my switch for my light. When I turn off the light, the little power cord would turn off also for my AC. He had to come back and redo the wiring. Besides that, everything was fine.
So far, I am enjoying the system. The food and the coffee taste better. It's not as bitter as it used to. Also, after taking a shower, my skin is so much nicer. It’s softer. The clothing with the soap is great too. In addition to that, the salespeople were nice. They came out and gave me the whole tour of everything, including the guidelines. For the system and everything, I can tell the difference with Rainsoft. I would recommend them.

My son and I were shopping in JC Penney. He was the one who saw this packet and asked me if I wanna test the water. I asked him why we should test the water and he said we should go home and see what happens when we do it. He put water in a test tube and then he just left it. I asked him why is he gonna test it and have it sitting in the corner and not send it in. From there, RainSoft got it and they called us. They told us it's in Broward County, and started to get tested on the water. They told us that it seemed okay and asked if we were interested in somebody coming out to do a complete test on the water to show us where the levels are at and tell us what is healthy and safe. I told them that it's okay.
My experience with the rep from RainSoft was good. At first, I didn't know if he was just someone who was educating us, or it's a matter of he was a sales rep. But his presentation was amazing. He was young, and he just started himself, but he did a great job. So it's not a matter of convincing or there wasn't any pressure at all. It's a matter of, "Think about it, if you think it's something that you'd wanna do. Do you think long term, health-wise, the pipes and the copper and the stuff in the water, is this something you wanna keep digesting?" The savings involved in cleaning supplies and water were also explained. It wasn't a hard decision but it was an expensive one.
I got the system that's worth $6,900. The one that goes through the pipes, and I had it installed in the garage of this house. I didn't do the washer and dryer. I just do the one that has to do with the main water. Also, the installation was good. I had a leak afterwards so I called the technician. He came back and said he's gonna do a fix but it was a Band-Aid fix. My boyfriend knew exactly what was wrong, so I delivered the message to him because he does plumbing.
It so happened that the guy told me to watch it and see what happens. It didn't get any better. I called him up again and told him I needed it fixed properly and I didn't want a Band-Aid fix. The follow up and follow through with them was amazing. Since having the system installed, there has been a smooth feel of the water from the shower. I also drink water from the system every day. I even take a big bottle of water to work. Thus far, I have referred five people to RainSoft and one person has bought their system.

Got scammed into getting my water tested while shopping in Home Depot 1 year ago. The salesman comes over my house and puts on a science magic show for me and my husband and convinces us that our water is bad for our skin, our laundry, our pipes, etc. They sell me the water softener system plus the water purification system (for drinking water). Of course part of the scam is justifying the cost of it all. We would get all natural soaps and cleaning products that would last us 5 years therefore saving money on what we usually buy. They lasted us 6 months and the products weren't even that great. Financing was "only" $80/month part of the magic show was to calculate all these cost savings versus what we would be paying a month for the next 5 or 8 years I forget.
So what was NOT part of the calculations are the following which I found out the hard way during this first year of having this all installed. The cost of the salt (water softening salt) that you have to buy every couple of months was not mentioned. The "yearly service" that this requires is $230 plus tax for a guy to come by for 15 minutes and change 2 filters on the water purification system, that also not mentioned on the calculation. Oh and the best part now I just got a call from the financing company that the $80/month was a 12 month promotion and that now my payment is $120/month...WTF?!? Unbelievable!!! Beware when walking around Home Depot. Don't fall for it!!! Not worth it!!! I'm not even sure if I see much of a difference in the water quality anyway...NOT HAPPY!!!

He demonstrated the product to us using his little kit with a little small filter, showed us the water quality that we had, and what it would be after they installed the system. We got the system for the washing machine and also the one for the sink, which is for cooking and drinking. We scheduled a time to have the systems installed.
The morning before the installer got here, Jerry came and apparently, he's the owner of the company here in Kentucky and Lexington. We went through all the financial part where you'd get set up for the credit. My credit was frozen and I was trying to call to get it released, so they could see if my credit was any good. He didn’t wanna wait on me. He used my wife’s credit and driver’s license, which had an Oklahoma address on it. They sent the original credit card to the old Oklahoma address. My wife hadn't changed her driver’s license and instead of waiting for a few minutes for me to get my credit unfrozen so they could do a credit check, he went ahead and used my wife’s. So, that was all messed up.
We had to call Home Depot and get that all straightened out afterward because we never received a bill in the mail from Home Depot. They were sending the bills to our old Oklahoma address, and we had to finally get that all squared away, so they could send the bill to the right address. The other thing is the salesman that came by promised us a 24 months deferred interest on the credit card. What has happened so far is that when we finally received our first bill, it said we only had six months deferred interest. That means I had to pay the entire amount of $6,000 something in six months. I've sent Jared, a RainSoft rep, an email and I sent him the bill that states that we had to have it all paid in full by May of 2019.
He replied to me that same day and he wanted me to send a copy of the bill. I scanned a copy and sent it to him but I haven't heard a word back, and it's been a week. Other than that, we've been dealing with limescale for eight years since we've been here and the RainSoft water softener has been great. We did a water test and when we got the results, there were some stuff in it. We had a small little filter that we bought from Lowe’s and it still tested with some stuff in it there. I have people and cousins of mine that work at the water systems. And one of them handles the water, and he told me some of the things that they are required to put in there because it's in a big tank. So, there are stuff we don’t wanna take in to ourselves any kind of way.
Everything with our consultation with RainSoft was good. The scheduling on the second person was the only thing, but it was no big deal to us and everybody was good. There were a couple of parts that we were waiting on. One of our canisters was leaking, but they came right back and fixed it. Our drinking water is good to go since we’ve had the filtration system put in. It tastes better. The main thing I noticed is with the first shower I took, I thought I still had soap all over me because of the softening.

RainSoft had a good salesman. He was pretty nice. RainSoft did a water test and showed us the difference between the new and the old and our old water was pretty nasty. We got the whole house system and its installation was awesome. The installers were quick, on time and friendly. Now, I could definitely notice the way the new water tastes and feels. I am disappointed though because the salesman said that with the different water, I wouldn’t have to clean the bathtub and the toilets out as much but every week, there are really thick water stains. So, I don’t see a difference in the upstairs water as when before RainSoft. But other than that, we’re happy with it.

Moving from Toronto to Brampton, I noticed that the water in Brampton was a little bit harder than what I was used to. RainSoft was in the neighborhood, doing water sampling. They tested the water and said they had concerns. It was shown to us what normal water should look like and what our sample looked like. They told us what they could offer. They said that they would leave it with us and that we should give them a call if we're interested. The sales rep was very professional and not forceful on the sale.
I invested in the system and the installation team was very fast, professional and polite. I’ve had the system for over five years now and I’ve noticed a considerable difference having the water system in the house as opposed to not. When we’re not home and we’re away on vacation, we also notice a difference in the water quality, even in the drinking water alone. Water is what I drink a lot of and I like the taste and the cleanliness of it. Even in the home itself and for showering, the water is softer. You notice there’s a difference, even with the washing machine. We’re using less detergent and the clothes seem a little cleaner. Then in the last couple of months, we had to replace one of the units because over time, the inside of it was wearing out. So I went back with RainSoft because I’m very happy with it. I purchased a home and I knew that there was a hardness problem in the water. The dishwasher was coated in calcium deposits. I called RainSoft and it was very educational dealing with the salesperson, Joe. It was a little longer than it needed to be though. It was over an hour. It was not his fault but it was a little laborious. We got the water softener system and the cost was a little higher than I would have preferred but that aside, I’m very satisfied so far. The installation people were also very good. It was very cold, windy and rainy and they ran into some mud problems because of that. But the supervisor made sure that he contacted his supervisor to have the lawn person come back in and replace grass in the section that was muddied. And that did happen so I was satisfied.

We've been with RainSoft for 19 years, and every other year, we call in and they come out to service our unit. James comes here repeatedly to service it. So, we've gotten to know him, and he has helped us with some upgrades over the years. James has done a very good job. He is very honest, and I trust him completely. He does a very good job of explaining what he feels like we should do to upgrade, each time we've done it. The upgrade went very smoothly. He already had it on his truck and we discussed it a little bit and then we let him go right ahead and fix the system up. He was able to do it very quickly and efficiently. He knew was he was doing. We have very hard water at our house and it doesn’t taste very good. We’ve also had some plumbing issues. I wanted to have the water tested to see what was going on. RainSoft came out and did the water test. They were able to schedule the consultation at a time that worked with me. Plus, the experience with the rep was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and answered all of our questions. Prior to the test, I suspected the water had a lot of minerals and it did. So, we bought the full house system.
Also, we were thinking that some of the pipes were probably clogged due to the hardness. We're not sure if RainSoft would solve that or not, but we were hoping that the system would help clear out some of the clogs. Thus far, we’ve noticed that the water doesn’t taste as metallic and that it feels softer. We have also noticed that there is not as much staining on the showers and on the bathtubs as before.

The only thing is that they were supposed to take off the top tip because all the sedimentation could accumulate. So, my water flow is little low on some of the pipes. Otherwise, the installation was really good. The installer was awesome and did a very good professional job. Now there's no more chlorine so the water tastes different. First the sales rep, Robert, reminded me of the old time snake oil salesman. Great showman and charming about everything. Not sure about finding what chemicals were actually in our water that was harmful. By law he could not tell us. No doubt though we have deposits on our dishes that was proven by him and his bag of chemicals in his demo. Don’t know if a chemist would agree everything he did in demo to show harsh chemicals in our water. We may find that dishes are cleaner, clothes are brighter and skin is less dried out but for over $9100. It was a bit much for the total system, including an air purifier. My wife is smarter than me I guess.
All the hardware and free installation could not add up to more than a few thousand at best. Somebody is making money. Although cost of filters down the line was mentioned by the sales rep - he said he had not had to change his osmosis sink filter for ten years. I’m not sure he even has a system in his home. My suggestion is get some bids from as many companies as possible. Then if you want a system you can be well aware of what each system consist of and it’s cost. We’ll see how well the installation went and if anything blows up or leaks. Stay tuned!

Although there were things that he didn’t know answers to, he was right on the phone to just call somebody who could find the answers.
It's kind of foolish that the installation team came the distance and they only had one set to install, and it didn’t match the rest of my sink. The rest of my sink was all chrome. They didn't know what to bring but then the installer put it anyway. But it was a wasted trip cause even though it was beautiful, I didn’t wanna keep it since it looked odd to not match the rest of the sink. They had to come back and bring back a chrome one to reinstall. Still, that helped because the first guy couldn't answer fully all of my questions. The second guy who came back to install was more knowledgeable, did a good job to reinstall, and fixed a couple things differently. So I was happier with the second installation. Overall, while I feel better knowing that I'm getting cleaner water, it would have been nice to have known some information like the cost of maintenance before installation.

I gave them names for people that I referred and gave my sister’s name. Someone contacted us, but somehow, the lady would not call me back down in the Orlando office. But she was digging around and found my daughter-in-law’s number which I did not give. The system was overpriced and never worked right consistently. 1 and 1/2 years ago, when it stopped working for the umpteenth time (average life after a repair roughly 6-9 mo.) I was convinced by the serviceman to spend over $500 on a new digital head to replace my old analog head. He assured me my problems were over and told me the part had a 5 year warranty, parts and labor. Well of course it broke again.
Meanwhile the local contractor for RainSoft had changed hands again. When I called I was told they were not honoring the last subcontractor's warranties. I refuse to pay them to fix this piece of junk again. I'm shopping around now and in week or two the system goes to the dump and I get a new one NOT A RAINSOFT. The Rainsoft testing person was very nice but the data he presented was false. I have a University level education in Human Physiology and Chemistry. I also ran swimming pools for a living. The calculations for the funds I spend each month without the Rainsoft system are drastically inflated according to my own spreadsheet showing actual expenditures. The test where he said my skin absorbed the chlorine from the water was false. The chlorine was not absorbed by my skin in the three seconds allowed in this test. Absorption takes longer than the 3 seconds this test took. Instead the chlorine was chemically altered by the salt creating Sodium Chloride and any contaminants that are inherent on everyone's skin.
Also the light from my LED lights which is 5500 Kelvin causes a chemical change in Chlorine also attributing to the depletion of the chlorine in the test water. He did not test the filtered water in my Kitchen sink either. The reality is that with the actual expenditures the payback on this expensive system is more than a decade. The customer is led to believe the chemicals used to test for solids and other contaminants are real without any proof at all. The entire demonstration is done by the company selling the product instead of an independent testing company. This is a conflict of interests. Many systems are less expensive and do just as well in removing solids, organic contaminants, chemical contaminants and softening water. This demonstration was misleading and the system is very overpriced.

They explained everything and we had the water testing. We thought we knew a little bit about what it was gonna be but it was like another level. We were going to do something about our water anyway and it so happened that RainSoft called us.
We did the reverse osmosis with the water and I just feel better knowing that my grandkids who I take care of are getting clean water. The installer was great too. I purchased the whole house system and the people who installed it were hilarious. They were very personable and nice guys. They went through everything with me and then they also did the filtration system underneath the sink. That took about an hour and a half just to run it through the process. But they stayed here with me to run it through one process and let it stay there. It took about four hours for everything to get done. They spent as much as time as they needed to and they didn’t seem to hurry. Plus, they made sure all my questions were answered before they left. We had to have a drinking fountain put into our sink just for drinking and cooking because the water was that bad. It’s a filter underneath the sink and there’s a big filter outside by my well. We still have the soft water but not a whole bunch can be done about that. The water is clear now though and it tastes good. There are no particles floating in it and the smell is gone.
They had to come back out one time though because there was a little stain in the water. They did some adjustments on the filter outside and told me to wait about a month and that if it doesn’t improve to call them back. It has gotten a little better but I need to call them back because it still has a little stain to it. But the RainSoft people were very good. When I called the guy on a Friday, he said he’d be here on Monday and he was here around the time he said he’d be here. I’m completely satisfied with them. The Rainsoft reps came to our door and their demonstration impressed us big time. They got test bottles and a little machine. It was like a miniature water system for your home and one rep ran through that plus she checked our water. The water here in San Antonio is worse than we thought it was. We always use bottled water and washing takes one ounce of detergent. Thereafter, we got the softener system, the reverse osmosis for the kitchen sink, and the oxidation thing for the laundry washer. We have a hot tub which feels and looks so good now.
I have a water fountain on the front yard and the installer said that it was not gonna be part of the system, but it turned out it was. Before, I had to clean it with the pressure washer, but now, it cleaned it right up and it's down to the original material of the fountain itself. Everything was impressive. We don’t have to buy bottled water anymore and we use a lot less detergent. We use the system for cooking, our tea, and our coffee. We usually use the reverse osmosis with the coffee and tea because that's about as good as water can get.
The sales rep was fantastic. We felt like we got a new friend. She sent us a card with a fantastic picture of the house, which surprised us. She's super friendly and personable. I also had good interactions with their installation crew. I asked questions and he explained what was going on. He gave me a rundown of how everything worked and what I needed to do periodically. For the first five years, they took care of the system except for one filter. After a year, I had to change it out myself. Other than that, it has been great and I had no complaints whatsoever.
I've talked to several people about Rainsoft and I'm kinda surprised myself. $8,000 for a water softener system is kinda steep and most of them don’t wanna spend that kind of money, but, in the long run, it will pay for itself. Besides the system itself, we also got five years' worth of detergent. There were several things that replaced the chemicals and cleaning stuff that we were using that we no longer have to get. For instance, though we don’t need to use a laundry softener, we still do because we like the smell. The rep said that was optional for clean clothes. Nevertheless, Rainsoft has impacted our lives positively and we love it.

They had to dig a trench under my sidewalk but when they finished, I couldn't even tell that they had dug the trench. They did a beautiful job. That really impressed me. Also, I have white carpet and the guys took their shoes off. As far as the installation, it was perfect. I love what they did.
I have OCD and my foremost focus is always on things being super clean. The first thing I noticed with RainSoft was my laundry and how the system works so much better as far as the water being softer. It cleans better too and I don’t have to use as much of the products that I use to clean. I really like the system and I'm very pleased. It's really worth it. Make the investment with RainSoft because, for one, it'll add to your property's value.

We got a RainSoft water filter for our whole house and couldn't be more pleased with it, and with the company. Any problems we have had, they have come out super fast and made it right. At the beginning our shower head busted bc of carbon that was filtering out and they replaced it completely for us! With the filter they also gave us cleaning products and soaps and they were more than happy to switch some out for me! SEAN AND BRUCE (sorry I don't remember your last names), but well done! And thank you!

We were in Home Depot and we asked about RainSoft. I've been wanting to have some nice, clean drinking water and soft water for years. Since this is a newer home, I thought I would start doing that. I set up a consultation with the sales rep over the phone and the two guys who installed it did a wonderful job. However, whenever my wife starts the clothes washer, it makes a hissing sound for a couple of seconds. Then it’s gone and doesn’t do it until next time. She’s curious about it but other than that, it has been wonderful. RainSoft was very professional and everybody was very nice from beginning to end.

RainSoft came out and did an experiment in our counter, and we decided that we would give it a try. Their sales rep was very nice and explained everything very good. They also gave us a whole bunch of stuff to use -- from laundry detergent, shampoo and face soap to dish soap. We have noticed a bit of a difference in the taste of the water and then our showers stay cleaner as well. I feel my dishes are cleaner and more sanitized, and I really like it.

As a senior, I wanna do whatever I can to stay healthy and if I can make the water better, it’s always a plus. When I got to talking with the RainSoft rep and when they came to test my water, I saw the benefits of their system and decided to get it. Their installers were timely. They got in here, got it done and was gone. Now, I use the water when I make tea or coffee and I am able to tell a little difference because sometimes, different waters, even though they're good waters, with different types of tea, the water can give it a different taste and I've been totally satisfied with the water coming out of the RainSoft system.

When we bought our house, RainSoft came and tested the water. I signed the contract on a Saturday and they did the installation on Monday. RainSoft followed up a couple of times, and came back and tested, and made sure that we were all happy and that the system was working correctly. Since we got the system, you can't smell the chlorine in the water, and the water is soft. Laundry is easier and there are no hard water stains. The system takes all the negative stuff out of the water. Once you use RainSoft and have access to the setup at your home, you'll have one forever because it's that good.

The RainSoft rep came over and did a little chemical analysis that proved that our water was hard. We knew already but we went through the process of getting it set up and scheduled. It all went smoothly. We wanted the outdoor not to be conditioned for watering the lawn so we figured out how we had to run the plumbing and where to install it, and the installer did it. RainSoft was very good, professional, and they did well.

BEWARE. The system does improve our water but the cost is not realistic. We paid over $10,000 for a whole house system. The company financing the system put a lien on our house which caused me extra work when I refinanced our mortgage. The first year the filters cost $110. The second year was $250. Now, not only am I paying $179 per month, but it will cost me $450 to replace the filters this year. How much is it going to cost next year? I wish I had never purchased this system. Buyer beware - you need deep pockets to use and drink Rainsoft water.

I grew up in a different town and when I moved to a town that has crappy water quality, I could tell there was a difference. I didn’t like it. Then when we had the initial consultation with RainSoft, the pitch that they had was really eye-opening. I know they have their own agenda to sell stuff but I enjoyed that experience. They were really knowledgeable.
Since our house is really old, we decided on getting everything. We got the water softener purifier system for the whole house, the one for the kitchen right under the sink and then the air purifier. The installation was really painless. It only took them about an hour and now, it’s a lot nicer when I take showers. It doesn’t leave my skin as dry and I have sensitive skin. I had no idea the water was that big of an issue. The taste of coffee is way better too. That’s worth the system’s weight in gold right there. So we’re enjoying our RainSoft experience so far.

We’ve had RainSoft for 30 years and recently we replaced our water treatment system with the new one. The sale rep was very thorough in his explanation. He explained to us the reasoning why we should replace our old system with a more up to date one. The installers were very professional and knowledgeable. The installation took an hour and a half which wasn't very long at all. RainSoft is always top-notch whenever we call. We replaced our own drinking system filter which was separate and they have always been very helpful when we buy that and put it in ourselves.

The RainSoft rep was pleasant to talk with and he kept us entertained. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, polite and respectful and it was a really good three hours with him. Their installers were good too and we hardly knew they were here. They told us about the different systems, the one that went in the crawlspace under the house and the one in our kitchen with the triple filters. They explained everything to us. Since then, our skin looks a lot better and we can definitely tell that the water in the sink is much clearer and has better taste. We tell the people who come here to try the water and even them say that it is good.

When we saw RainSoft on the internet, we called them and a rep from one of the companies that is connected with Home Depot came, and they are the ones who sold us the product. We bought a water softener that is a middle one that has a reserve of a salt. The installers that came out did it quickly. They cleaned and they left everything clean. The product was pricey, but we know it’s worth it and we love it. My husband has a bacteria, his situation was in his stomach. He got much better with the product so now he's all better. I’m happy with it. We’ve been with RainSoft for a couple of months, and it has helped the water in the house. We feel more confident and I know it would help with the health of my husband and also my child, who is autistic as he needs fresh water too. I already recommended RainSoft to friends and people already came to their houses to do the water testing.

I researched on water treatment systems for healthier drinking water. We had somebody at Home Depot ask us if we’d be willing to have somebody come to our house for a consultation regarding RainSoft. And then we heard from somebody later on setting up the time for the salesperson to come in. The consultation went very well. There were no surprises and the sales rep did a nice job. He was easy to work with. The installation team was also excellent. They came out and did everything very quickly, very thoroughly and explained things. Since the installation of the water softener system I noticed the water is softer when I'm washing, bathing and showering. I also have more peace of mind knowing I'm drinking better water. I have a very good experience with RainSoft and I’m glad we did it.

The previous homeowner had a RainSoft system in the house, but they took it when they left. Then, the person at Home Depot said they would come out and do a free water test. So, we signed up and let them come to the house. They came and showed us how much crap was in our water and I didn't want to drink that. The sales guy's name was Bryan. He was nice and very professional. He came in and showed us the test and talked about the system.
The installation of the system was a little troubling because after we had the sales guy come out, I didn’t realize that one of the gaskets from my kitchen sink faucet had fallen into the garbage disposal. Therefore, my kitchen sink started leaking regularly. Also, the first time they set it up the drain hose for the RO system wasn’t plumbed properly. We talked to them about the issue and they tried to fix it with a bunch of different washers to see if they can get it to quit leaking from the kitchen sink faucet. They did reroute the RO water, which was fine, and we didn’t have any problems with that leaking again. The kitchen sink quit leaking, but the next day, it was leaking again. So they told us that if they couldn't find a replacement for it, then they would get me a new faucet, which was what they ended up doing.
The people at RainSoft are responsive, and we haven't had any issues with everything they’ve done so far. The water is definitely softer since we had the RainSoft system. You have that silky smooth feeling after a shower. However, I would notice that we have to clean the toilets more often because of the build-up of mildew. It also happens in our dishwasher. So we had them come out to check that and the guy told me that once I start smelling sulfur, that means they need to come out and clean all the lines in the house with bleach because the system has taken all the chlorine out.

We had moved into a new neighborhood and the neighbors mentioned hard water. Then we got RainSoft's whole home water softener and filtration system. When the sales guy spoke with us, it was late at night so that was a bit annoying. But it was definitely informative and professional. He was polite and he answered all of our questions. The installation team was also professional and polite. They knew what they were doing. They made sure the timing was good and that all our questions were answered. They didn’t interrupt us and they cleaned up after they were finished. The water is much nicer now. We notice the difference even when we travel and go out to a hotel. When we come back, the water is amazing.

I would recommend RainSoft to anybody with hard water. The water that we had was very hard and not very tasty. But we got the under-the-sink water filter system then the outdoor product, which was like $7,500. And now, the water tastes better. Our soap also goes further because the water isn’t so hard. So overall, we have better water quality. In fact, I've got three family members with eczema and we haven’t had a significant outbreak since the installation of the system. The sales rep was legit and on point too. He was great. Then the installation team that came in also knew what to do. They were flexible with my requests and got the job done.
