We had a great experience with the Pella team from beginning to end. The sales advisor worked with us to accommodate specific requests, the installation guys were amazing, and the painters who finished final details were first rate. We’re very happy with our experience and would recommend Pella.

I am a return customer with Pella after spending $10K on new living room windows in 2024. My experience at that time was excellent and certainly commensurate with the quality and expense of Pella windows. I had a Pella rep come out the day of the install to do a QI check and another one came to inspect the inside once touch ups were done. That is the customer service that I expect. The following year, in 2025, I had a kitchen window installed. I was happy with the window and with the installers but no one from Pella every came out to check the workmanship on the window. I provided this feedback in an earlier survey and the sales guy called me and basically said that Pella only does random follow-up on their window installs. In my mind this is not an acceptable answer, and now I question whether I will ever be a return customer.

Ordered all new windows. They arrived on schedule and were installed over 2 days. Work was done neatly and efficiently. We are now into the really cold part of the year and the difference is noticeable. The temperature is more even, and the furnace doesn't kick on as much. All in all, very satisfied.

In general we are pleased with the window that was installed by Pella. However we wished that it had been fully operational the first time around. Since some heavy rains hit us right after the installation, we noticed some water in the track, coming from the outside. It took 3 different visits by technicians to address the issue and all is well now. We do like the look of the window, how it behaves and the way it operates. We might have some future projects and we will consider using Pella again.

Spent a lot of money on bedroom windows. They look great but when it was snowy and freezing out, I had ice build up and water on them. My old windows didn't do this! Very unhappy. Have appointment soon for someone to come out. Will not consider ordering more windows until this gets solved.

We really appreciated our sales person and purchasing experience, and we enjoy our new door and the updated look of our home. The quality compared to the money spent doesn't quite align, and we had to have service come twice after installation for repairs. The black door chips almost instantly, with chips already present on install, and the sprayed paint can be seen between the window panes which wasn't expected for that price point. I am fearful of how the doors appearance will hold up over time and with regular use.

I had 8 windows and a sliding glass door replaced by Pella. I am very satisfied with the quality of the products and the actual installation process, but I am quite dissatisfied with many other aspects of the experience. First off, the time between the order (when my 50% down payment was collected) to the installation was over 2 and a half months - this length of time is unacceptable. Second, once my money had changed hands, the attention of my salesman left a lot to be desired (very slow to respond to phone messages and emails). Third, Pella missed the agreed upon installation date which caused a lot of consternation on my part as I had to reschedule several other personal and business activities around Pella's inability to schedule properly. The installation delay was apparently the result of the warehouse pulling the incorrect materials for my order (more on the warehouse's ineptitude to come).
Pella should have taken the lead on providing some sort of financial concession here, but they chose not to do so. I had to plead my case with the saleman for a couple of weeks to get a minor cost adjustment for the misscheduling inconvenience. The actual installation went well - the installer was very professional and did excellent work. Upon completion of the job, the installer wanted to collect payment from me although there was no existing balance due (the cost outside of the down payment had already been financed). I politely declined to pay him. Unfortunately, one of the panels in my newly installed sliding glass door had foreign material embedded between two glass panes, so the installer immediately ordered a replacement panel. The replacement panel again took 2 and a half months to manufacture, which is again unacceptable. Warranty work should be placed at the top of the queue within the manufacturing process.
On the day of the replacement panel installation, the warehouse sent the incorrect panel with the installer (the warehouse has obvious issues), which delayed the installation by several hours (the installer had to return to the warehouse for the correct panel), again causing me to have to juggle my schedule to accommodate the warehouse's shortcomings. The scheduler who initially accompanied the installer also tried to collect payment from me (is this some sort of scam?), but I also informed him that there was no balance due on the project. The panel was eventually replaced later in the day, and now the products look great and appear to be functioning properly. Not sure I would recommend Pella to someone looking to upgrade their windows. Product quality seems good, but many other aspects of the process need much attention.

They were very professional and did for the most part an excellent job. There was an issue with the interior wood that got overlooked and was pine instead of oak. Also the sliding door was installed without the 3/4” filler on the bottom with them having to come back and fix those two areas. After all is said and done we very pleased with the installation.

Had our windows and patio door installed in the spring of 2024. The windows are fine but had them back a number of times for the screen doors on the patio, still don't work right. Service person said it's a design flaw. The slides that are suppose to hold the screen door in place, one won't go in the other comes out after a few times opening the other door. The door side, the piece that suppose to keep the door from slamming continues to come loose. Keep buying bigger screws but can only go so big. Major disappointment in produce and service.

We had Pella in our house, and when we needed to replace some stuff, we decided to be consistent and go with Pella again. The rep came to our house and did a consultation. She was friendly and responsive. Then the installers came out on the day they were scheduled. They were respectful, and it was really fast and easy. We replaced the sash of two windows and then we got a brand-new window. We love it. I wish I could replace all of my windows. They are on the pricier side, but that they're worth it 'cause they have great quality and customer service.

Working with Pella was easy, and their installers were very, very good people. We got French doors and the windows are crank-style. Our old ones were leaky and deteriorating. We needed to replace our storm windows. I was pretty much done with my own research and I knew what I was getting. We're not planning on living in our house for the next 30 years, so we didn't need the super best wooden or metal windows. We chose vinyl because that would outlast us while we're here.
We went with Pella and I was impressed with the faith of the salesman. He was a Christian man, who wanted to do an honest sales job and didn't want to talk me up to something that I couldn't afford or try to talk me into doing every window in the house. When it was time for installation, it went pretty smooth. Two men handled it well and they spoke English too.
The windows look good and they work with the added surprise of a built-in screen, which we paid for, but that was an option we didn't know we had until the sales people came out. The cost was fair as well, considering two men had to come out and take out the old, put in the new, and rebuild the frame. It was not the mechanical frame but the molding, and it looks good. I feel it was a price for two men's labor, and of course, the window itself.

I am a builder and I've used Pella in the past and always had good luck with it. We had some windows that we needed to be replaced so we went with them. They sent a representative out and talked to me about our needs and what we expected and what we wanted to do. He was positive and seemed to know what he was talking about.
However, the service was not too good. We have 2 x 6 walls in our house and that requires a special window that I informed the gentleman about. That did not happen and we got two windows that were designed for 2 x 4 walls. Once they got them in, they didn't match the existing windows that we have. That became a problem. The windows that they installed are very good quality. It's just that they were the wrong window for the opening for the house.
The cost seemed a little high, but we were okay with that. We've not paid our whole bill because we're waiting for them to get back and address some concerns that we've had. The experience on a whole was okay. These things were installed in a day and they were very quick and had the old ones out and the new ones in. They did a good job on that part, but there were just some things we need to follow up on.

I had to replace Pella windows in a house that I bought. The process took six weeks. It was done really well. The only thing that was frustrating is we took some shades down for install. And then, we went to put them back up, I saw the framing of the replacement windows were an eighth of an inch too small. So I had some blinds that I couldn't put back up.

We put in Pella windows and doors in early 2000s. They were excellent windows. You could not hear any noise outside. They worked very well. When we ordered the windows, we put in the blinds in between, but after so many years, the sun rotted the strings to the sliding glass door. We weren't able to undo them, and we weren't able to open the blinds up anymore. So, we stayed like that for a long time. For our sliding, they had put on a screen that was a rollaway. But it got ripped just a few years ago. When I called Pella to see if we could fix this, they had said no. They don't make those doors anymore or the windows that we have. They only make a different line. We had to replace the sliding glass door. Now, this one is also excellent. It's made even better than the first one that we have in there.
For our front door, we had a problem. The storm door wasn't closing, and there was a big gap in the inside door. But they came right away and fixed the problem. We also had a problem with the new sliding glass door that we just put in June. I felt air coming in from underneath. I called them, and they sent somebody right away. He said the door was put in wrong. They didn't put the protector on the bottom. So he ordered it. He put in something that he had on his truck to keep the air out. Then he came back the following week, and he installed the new seal. I've never had a problem with them.

My experience with Pella was awful. They pushed back my install date the morning of the install and they pushed it back a month. But they didn't even tell me about it until after they were supposed to be here. I asked them to just do something for me, a tiny discount, just any good business would do, but they told me no. When they came here a month later, the project manager wouldn't even look at me because he was upset that I was upset. But I bought three doors and the quality of the doors is great.

Pella is a top-notch company with good quality products. I’m from Iowa and the factory of Pella isn't very far from me. The salesmen were very courteous and kind. I like the quality of their windows, too. We put in two sliders and three windows. It took three weeks and we didn’t have any problems with the installation. They came, did the work and cleaned up after themselves.

Pella was more local to the area and they're bigger than what I thought. So, I went with them. My salesperson came out and did the estimate. But once he got the sale, I never heard from him again. When I had questions and concerns, he would not reach out. I had to contact somebody else. She was in a different department, but she was amazing. I was not even her client and she helped me more than the original salesperson.
My installation team was amazing, too. We had damaged windows caused by the freight between Colorado Springs and here in Grand Junction, which is only, a four-hour drive. One window arrived in Colorado Springs broken, which we knew about, and I agreed to put it in then have them come and just replace the glass at a later time. But two of the windows were warped because the delivery guy ratchet-strapped them so tight that it warped the windows. And I was having stucco done that next week, so it was a huge inconvenience. I called everybody in that company and they all knew my situation, but there was no rush to get the problem resolved.
So three weeks later, I got the replacement for the two warped windows and the glass for the broken one. But it was a huge mess and I was surprised that they wouldn't put more of a rush on things knowing that the weather was coming. I did 20 grand of windows and I expected a little bit more help with this situation that came around. I was pretty disappointed in that and I would not recommend them.

I purchased a sliding glass door from Pella. The price is a little more, but you definitely get the better quality with it. The installation went smooth. It was done in four hours. The people at Pella were nice, but I don't think the quality of work was very good. They did some sloppy work that I didn't like. They threw some screws out in the grass in my driveway and didn't pick them up. They also pulled up with a diesel truck that leaked a puddle of oil in my driveway. They backed it off but they didn't clean up the mess.
I purchased eight windows. They came in and tried to install them that day, but then they all left and nobody said anything. Apparently, I had to reschedule to get them to come back and frame the windows on the outside. And when they ripped the windows out, they ripped the inside drywall. They ripped that 10 inches away from the window, so it made more work for me. They were not very professional.
Also, the windows are made with such a heavy sill that it takes a lot of finesse to open and shut them. The weld seams are so bulging out that they're sticking on the frame. Now I got to rock them to shut the windows. I can't just slide them shut. It's my own fault because I didn't go look at them. And then, when I had water inside here on the rail, I was told it's normal for water to come in the house and sit on the rail. They just took a drill and drilled through it so the water won't leak, so you don't see it. I'm done arguing with everybody.

We had Pella windows in the Wisconsin house so we chose them for their reliability. But we had a number of interactions that were really bad here in North Carolina. It took a month when they put in the front door and to get the lock so that I could actually use the key. They kept saying it's a new system. I'd been dealing with an administrator and she'd say she had to get permission from her boss. It was incredibly frustrating. In my view, having paid almost $30,000 for a door and side lights, it should be a priority for me to be able to open and close my door properly. It was about a month before it was resolved.
I ultimately called the customer service department and they were very good. But because they categorized this as part of the install, rather than something that had gone wrong, the customer service department had to transfer it to another department. The bureaucracy was extremely frustrating. It was not easy to get the right person. They're very expensive but they're very high quality. When it's done, it's reliable but there could be some real bumps along the road.

I had windows installed by Pella. The windows are great quality. The sales process leaves a little to be desired. I have nothing against the sales guy, because he was personable and knowledgeable. He did the measurements. I told him I did not wanna do the interior trim, and he just said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” He didn’t disagree and say, “We can’t do it that way.” When it came to the install, it’s not how I wanted it to work. I had to pull out all of the interior trim. It cost me a lot more money than I was led to believe. It was quite expensive.
The subcontractor that did the work was a really good kid. He felt awful when I fell over construction debris and hurt myself. I was in pain, and he came running over. It was just this one board that was sticking out, and I didn't see it. It was just one of those things.

I called their Buffalo office and told them what I needed. They sent out a service person, and we talked about the replacement. The biggest issue I had was it took so long, three months, to get a window out because they had to make it. The installation went well and it was quick. Overall, everything was fine. I purchased a Pella door that was a new tester product. Because of that, the price point was more favorable. Now the cost went up since it has become a standard product. It’s only been installed for a few months, but we're happy with it so far.
There were a few snafus during the installation, and I had to contact the main office. I bought two doors. I wasn't happy with the installation of the back sliding glass door because there wasn't solid wood in between the opening and the frame. The subcontractor had to remove that door, add more wood structure, and then reinstall it. It was just a little hiccup with the installer that impacted the overall timeline. Pella made it right in the end.

Pella is a good, solid company. I've seen their product in a lot of different places and they always look very nice and professionally installed. They're also not as expensive as another company that we looked at. The representatives were always very professional in their approach and easy to talk to.
We had two separate jobs for an entrance door with a storm door and seven windows. The door job had a miscommunication about the trim and the window job had one damaged window, which took three tries to replace. The installation was from April to October. They were very minor issues, but it just took too long.
But we're satisfied with it. I was surprised our local power company will give a rebate of $75 per window. But only three of our windows met their requirement. None of the others met it as far as the insulation value. Pella missed it by two-hundredths of whatever they measure it by. I thought they were gonna be very efficient windows.
I asked about that later and the sales rep said, "Well, if we had done that so you qualify for all them, the price would have been considerably higher." So that was a surprise. We still like what we've got and it was an improvement over what we had. But they didn't meet the standard for the local rebate. I'm still waiting to hear for sure that we will qualify for the three windows.

My experience has been excellent with Pella in North Carolina. I first had Window World and looked at Andersen. I wasn’t entirely happy with the window replaced by Window World and there was no follow-up from them. Andersen was expensive and I couldn’t afford it. It was different with Pella. I talked to Chris and we went through my windows. He assessed them and addressed my concerns. He gave me numbers that I could digest in phases. I was engaged in the conversation and I felt he could be trusted. I went with them because of Chris and his knowledge, the price point, and the financing.
I ordered two exterior doors, replaced five windows, and I’m replacing two more windows in my kitchen. I also have a rental property that I’m acquiring where I’m gonna order windows too. The finished product was beautiful. In North Carolina, typically, you can't open your windows since it's so doggone hot. But it’s a beautiful fall day and I had my pristine windows open that are easy to shut and close. Before, my children's windows wouldn't open. That was a major concern for me. Now we can open and shut the windows and allow a breeze in. My house looks like the belle of the block with my new windows. I’m very proud of it.

The installation manager came to inspect the job but I have not had any followup for over two weeks. I'm also dissatisfied with the exterior caulking as it looks sloppy and unprofessional. I am posting this review as a warning of the ridiculously high price of replacement parts for Pella products. We purchased a Pella patio door with between the glass blinds about 10 years ago. Recently one of the door blinds broke. I contacted Pella looking to purchase a new blind and they said it would take 4-6 weeks just to get a price quote. Mind you this was a stock patio door, not custom. After 6 weeks I contacted Pella again and they finally quoted me a price of $972 for a new blind. After repeated attempts to communicate with him and that he only assigned 1 person to install 28 windows and 5 doors. Was irresponsible and asked to have another PM assigned. The installation went on for 2.5 weeks and I had to take additional time off work to be at home. Delays for for materials like the trim that was delivered late and the right lengths for my 9 DT doors were not provided. In Nov., I experienced leaks in my patio door and 2 of my windows. One in the great room And 1 in the upstairs bedroom.
I immediately called for repairs. I talked with Mike eventually and we agreed on what needed to be done. There was a temp work done 3 days after the leak. A more permanent repair was completed last week, 3 months after my original install and over a month since the leak. I am still waiting for my kitchen window screen to replaced as it was bent when installed. A replacement was brought about 4 weeks after my install but that was damaged too. Still waiting for it. The trim in my dining room was installed but it was installed in 2 pieces as the installers and Ricardo indicated they can’t get a 16 ft trim. Last week he brought a 16 ft trim but it didn’t have the backing and the backing needs to be a couple of inches bigger than 16 ft.
Since installing all my windows and doors, the corners of all the trim has cracks now of where they were filled. Also, the material thaw as used to fill the gaps are smeared in several places on the trim of every trim. The window that was leaking needs to be replaced as per Ricardo and this will take at least a month to get. In the great room install, the windows had about an inch and half of caulking around them as the contractor did not replace the flashing around them during the installation. He said it was not necessary and I agreed at the time. After he finished, it looked very bad and was not happy with it. When they fixed the leaks, the flashing was replaced and a much smaller bead was applied and now looks good.
As I indicated at the start of this, I expected a much better installation and fewer problems. Problems still remain with I end fate for resolution. I expected better from Pella and the amount of money that I has spent to get the best in windows/doors and installation. I am withholding the final payment (10%) until all the work is completed and I am compensated for my time off work, issues, issues still outstanding and grief of having to continue to deal with this months after my installation.

We have replaced every window in our house except the basement windows with your products. They will be next. We also replaced the sliding glass door with your product. My only regret is that I wish I knew ahead of time that we needed triple pane glass for the sliding glass door. The double pane Pella 250 sliding glass door with the blinds between the glass is far below my expectations for keeping out the cold. I wish I would have known that before we purchased and installed that door. I would have done otherwise.

The doors arrived on time and the installation was done expertly by Koba and his team. Our home is over 100 years old and the colour of the replacement front door was a very close match to the existing wood trim, so that the new door looks like it was always a part of the house. Pella sent a technician out and he recommended replacing the panel since it was a brand new door that shouldn't have that defect. I didn't hear back from Pella except to confirm the technician's finding and ask if I wouldn't prefer returning it to Lowe's. "No, it's not like a toaster or something that I can just put in my backseat and do an exchange."
They placed the order for the return and I never heard from them again until I called in November to figure out when I should expect an install. Heartbreaking Experience with Pella / Gunton – No Accountability, No Integrity. We chose Pella / Gunton Corporation for two window replacements at our home in Solon, Ohio, trusting their promise of exceptional quality and customer service. Instead, we were left with water pouring through our kitchen ceiling just six days after installation — directly under our daughter’s bedroom window.
The technician, Alan, found caulking issues and a nickel-sized hole in the window — clear installation mistakes. Though he resealed it, Pella refused to repair the interior water damage or even inspect the second window. When Alan returned on November 10, he told us that because our 30-year-old house flashing “wasn’t installed properly,” it wasn’t Pella’s responsibility — even though we’ve never had a single leak before.
Throughout this ordeal, our salesman Mike **, project coordinator Cameron **, and customer service representative Abigail ** repeatedly ignored calls and messages. When I finally asked Abigail if I could speak to someone to understand our warranty, she told me that if we wanted resolution, we should “seek legal action.”
Our kitchen ceiling is damaged, our trust is gone, and we’ve been met only with deflection and silence. Pella’s customer care failed us completely. We paid a premium believing in their reputation — but what we received was neglect, hostility, and a refusal to take responsibility. I contacted the Pella warranty department 7 years ago, when my windows were not that many years old, about windows that would no longer open. They would open about 1/4” then stop. I found this very worrisome for my son’s room since he is on the second floor and a window would be his emergency exit. Pella refused to get back in touch with me. I was in direct contact with a rep who had been out to my house too and put me in touch with the warranty department. No matter how many times I emailed, nothing happened. I was finally able to reach a rep this year and of course, they told me my windows are out of warranty but they would be happy to send someone out.
Now my son’s window will open but it will not stay open and slams very quickly. I need to prop it open with a piece of wood if we want his window open. Now the window in my bedroom went through the same two stages. I just want everyone to understand that Pella does not stand by their warranty and their windows become extremely dangerous leaving you with no choice but to replace.

My installation date was January 22, 2024. I am in the middle of arbitration with them. It has been a nightmare beyond belief. I decided to check the reviews online to see if anything has changed. It appears they still are horrible. I have been suspicious since they quickly raised their score in June 2024 from 1 star to 3.8. The windows themselves are dangerous and filthy. The lift edge rubbed my finger raw so I can't use that window. In complete honesty I have been unable to use any of the windows or door. The other windows are black in the seams when they should be white with an unexplained odd looking dirt. There is caulking missing around the exterior door.
They refuse to perform a walkthrough or repair/replace them but instead demand payment in full "or else". They have threatened me with a lien and reported me to collections all while I have kept asking for a walkthrough and repair/replace. Arbitration is expensive. In retrospect, opting out and going to small claims court might be a better solution, but who knew? Previous experience with Pella had been good so this has been a nightmare. I couldn't stress enough that any company has to be better than them. I have spent an enormous amount of money for 3 windows and a door that I still cannot use 18 months later and they refuse to get near. The company only knows how to threaten either physically, emotionally, or financially. They do not know how to build or install a window. Beware.

I recently had a contractor install a new Pella door system for my brand new patio. In the rear, with installation came its setbacks and the door did not come with a screen. As thought it would so I had to besides paying what I paid for the door had to buy a screen for another 400.00. So I dealt with Pella Direct and had a screen ordered from them.
After having it installed, I had some visitors and were trying to open up the screen at a recent barbecue that I had, and the screen wound up coming not only off the sill, but the wheels broke and came down on my friend's head. I quickly turned to Pella for warranty and service. Since I've only had the screen for approximately a week to see what they would do to help me. They very quickly said for me to have a technician out, and they were going to charge me an extra 100.00 for the technician to come out to see if it was warrantyable or not, the technician came out. The technician was out, tried to assess the issue and determined that it is a faulty door and I will be hearing from Pella.
After waiting 4 days for a representative to reach out. I called and they said they closed the case that it wasn't coverable. Due to my fault of the screen door being broken, they will not help or warranty, a brand new item that was bought from them, and it is clear that it was a part of theirs that broke, that caused the screen to come off of the jam, and after arguing with the representative back and forth informed me, they will not help me or cover the screen. So I would not recommend ever doing business with Pella they do not stand behind any quality or workmanship, and do not stand behind any type of warranty with their item when a situation occurs, and will expect you to pay for a new item out of your own pocket.

Let me begin by saying if Pella is the premiere product and experience in the window industry, the industry is doomed. Your sales and installation personnel are exemplary. Their abilities, product knowledge, friendliness, respect, and work ethic are top notch. You couldn't find a better representation of yourselves than these people. And THAT is where the pleasant part of the experience ends. From the moment the installation began, it was a debacle. NO ONE should have to pay your exorbitant prices, to be treated the way we have.
The Friday prior to installation, I had a late afternoon call stating that the 'stools' were not sent, but that would not affect the installation. Number one, what is a stool, (I quickly learned), number two, that is a lie - if all parts are not included the project cannot be completed, leading to the need for additional dates. When I tried calling and texting to the number no one could be reached, and to date have not responded. So, I waited for the installation date to find out what that meant.
7/28/25 - Installation day came, no stools or aprons for 4 of 5 windows, but additionally, 1 strip of brickmold was sent, when the order stated 10 were needed. And zero caulk was sent. If you are in the business of installing windows, who in your team who assemble the orders doesn't know that 1- 8' strip of wood won't install Five windows?? So, I was left with windows foamed and shimmed in, with 3/4 inch cracks surrounding them, leaving my home exposed to weather, insects and potentially wildlife as I live in a wooded/farm area. And NO idea when anyone would be returning to secure things, except that someone would be calling.
No blame on the installers - this is your normal procedure. Did I mention that the 5 stool couldn't be installed as the stain wasn't completed? One wonders who decided this order was ready for installation, though it seems it should have been since the order was placed in April. It's worth noting that some plaster was damaged, and the team leader stated he would put it on the orders to send spackle for repairs on the next trip. The next day Eric, my salesman, called wanting to take photos. When I informed him of the situation, he immediately called the office to arrange for some way of securing the exterior. He is to be commended for his excellent customer service.
Two or Three days later, someone called so say someone would be out the next day (7/31) to wrap the windows, securing the exterior. Much appreciated, as it was rainy during those weeks, and insects were flourishing. this would become the only day that promised work would be completed because ALL materials were correct and sent. Then we waited. On Aug 18, Thom came and installed the stool and trim on the stained window, which was finally ready. When he attempted to install the stools and trim on the other 4 windows, he discovered the ones they sent were 2 inches too narrow for the windows, despite being measured by your technician. Additionally no spackle was sent for repairs. So, another date was scheduled.
On 9/11 Thom returned with the correct stools, and was able to complete the trim. Spackle was sent and he made the appropriate patches. THIS time, no paint was sent to complete the installation. Several days passed, and again someone called to set the date for finally completing the order. The date she gave me was November 13- 2 MONTHS out. I'm glad you're busy, but seriously? This has gone on since July. After I protested, she was able to move it to October 13. Still better, but 3 months to complete a project?? WHERE is the customer service in this transaction?
It began to become apparent that all concern for my time, security and property went out the window the minute you cashed my check. Do you ever consider the disruption of a household caused with the installations? Let alone when it takes multiple visits? It seems this is your norm- is that true? I wonder if taking the time for this communication is even worth it. I have filled out your surveys with this information after EVERY VISIT, yet no one has ever taken the time to reach out with a comment, apology or defense. All indications prove you simply don't care. Way to go, Pella.

The cladding on the outside of some of the windows is sloppy. Vertical members are asymmetrical--the left and right sides do not line up. The horizontal base on at least one of the windows is bowed outward and is not flush. Inside, the installation caused cracks in the painted window frames, which should have been caulked, but were not. I have purchased, and had installed 16 Pella windows over the years, and by far this was the sloppiest work to date.

I was impressed with the crews rough opening preparation, installation and the finished product. My comments are based on a comparison of window installation that was performed by a Lowe's team a year earlier. I had to have them removed and reinstalled by another team from Lowe's window division. The city inspector agreed with me that the windows were not ordered correctly and not installed properly.

I love Pella windows. I replaced the 40 year old Pellas with the same high-quality wood Pellas. My farmhouse gridded window panes and I do not like the way traditional screens obscure the beauty of the windows so I opted for the integrated screens. There are two options, the Reserve is the more expensive and higher quality which I chose for the public rooms. For back of the house rooms and private areas, I opted for the Lifestyle option. Love them!

When sales arrived I told them that the wall 2 windows and one door may need to be replaced. Same when the guy showed up to size everything. Showed both that the wall moves side to side on the door frame. I was told they would cut out what would need to be replaced and added a couple hundred dollars to the bill. Install day I was told after a window was already removed that it would cost 4k to rebuild the wall in order to have the warranty. Called project manager and was told there is nothing they can do other than install new window and I’d have to reschedule after wall is replaced.
Fortunately I had just that amount which but completely changed my financial plan. After work was completed I had zero follow up for my invoice or warranty information. Quality of work and materials were good and Fernando was amazing. Was going to recommend to my parents since they need all new windows but after the poor communication and lack of accountability we decide to go with another company.

They have been harassing me yelling at me, came to my house, slamming doors, demanding money a horrible experience. One of the windows installed, does not open or close. They installed the broken window, they never fix the broken window, I have been Harassed bullied by the company. They keep calling me threatening me send me to collections. Twice a already paid them $15,000 and I will not pay the remaining balance since anything. They installed wasn’t not correct.
I’m 70 years old, they have not come back to fix the problem!!! Since the salesperson was here, I’ve been calling him, asking him to let me see my contract. I want to get on paper. He will not deliver it into the day of install and left everything I asked for out of it. Pella is committing fraud And taken advantage of a senior citizen, horrible horrible experience. I ordered a brass door knob, which I had previously had. They send me something it doesn’t even match the doors. It looks horrible.
Anything on my list he did not even put down. He told me he couldn’t give me my contract because he had to go back in the office and finish it so I didn’t get to see the contract into the day of install, which is horrible. I ordered all the sheets to be bottom up. The salesman lied and they all came with the top down. So now I’m stuck in the house. Can’t open the windows because anybody could see AND said they would not fix the problem. The first time we had to pay out of pocket to have window painted and the second time we had to re order window. Pella's order docs resemble Apple user agreements with more stuff that the customer doesn't need yet they can't get the colors right DESPITE being shown THEIR windows right next to the new ones we were ordering! You have to pay full price before installation and then when Pella screws up, you have to go through it all again. Maddening! Installation crew is great probably because they subcontract it! But afterwards, when I said I had a problem, I couldn't get through. Then, I told them that one of the windows wasn't opening right and they said they'd send somebody out right away. They said they'd contact me but nobody did. So I kept calling. Then, I went to my sales guy and told him that they need to get somebody out here to fix the window.
They then called me back and gave me a phone number. But when I tried calling that, nobody answered. I left my name and phone number for them to call me back, but nobody called me back. So that's my biggest problem with Pella. The windows came out fine and the people were wonderful. But trying to get through to get an appointment for them to fix a problem was not so easy. Right now, I'm still waiting for them to come out. They're scheduled for September 22nd and my windows were put in in July.

Our entire house had Pella windows. So, when we needed to replace one of them, we went with Pella. The quality of the window we recently got seemed the same as the previous three we purchased from them. It's a picture window over the kitchen sink, and it has two smaller casement windows on the side that open. The price for the window was pretty high, but reasonable.
I know Pella has a great reputation and I have no problem with the window itself. It was the whole installation process that was a nightmare. The three gentleman who came to put the window in were very efficient. They got it in very quickly, but it was afterwards that was the problem. They got done, and the most senior of the three told the least senior guy to clean up, and do this and do that. He said they forgot to bring the sweeper and that they'd just do the best they could. But that was a disaster.
There was sawdust and dirt. They left the house a mess. Then they put the framing back on the window after they had taken it off, and they put these pieces back in. A two-year old could have done a better caulking job than they did and it looked terrible. Also, there were nail holes that they didn't fill. In fact, all the nails weren't even pushed or pounded completely in. And there were fragments of wood on the outside that they didn't pick up either. It was so bad that I had to hire somebody else to come in, finish this off, and make it look respectable.
Other than that, the sales rep who came out did a very good job. But the thing of it is, he said there was going to be another guy who was going to come out to measure the window again, but he said he'd be out when that guy comes. e also told me that he'd be back here when they do the install. But he never called or showed up. I never saw him again.

I decided to get new windows because my windows were dated. I had an initial consultation with someone named Jody from Pella. She had a model of what their windows look like and the materials that they're made out of. She was here for about two hours and went through all of the options that they offer. I had one consultation from Renewal by Andersen as well. As far as the quality, it’s pretty much the same. It's just Renewal by Andersen quoted me $36,000 and Pella quoted me at a little under $17,000. We went with Pella and got basic windows. When you unlock them and you slide them up a little bit, it has the option to lay the window out flat, so you can clean the inside of it. The installation was super fast. They did it all in one day. They took out my old windows, put in the new ones. They used caulk all around them. We opted to do our own window trim instead of having them do that. The windows look better now. It's very nice. It also makes it super easy, especially with having kids.

Then the guy came and said he didn't realize that the door was so big, so he didn't have a big enough truck. So, he only brought one door, then he had to come back again. Then he came back to install the screen door and the front door. They installed it, but they designed it the wrong way. We bought several Pella products in 2019: a sliding glass patio door leading out to a deck area, a front door, and a door between the house and garage. Just a few years later, in 2023, we decided to put an addition on our house-a four season porch. Since the sliding glass patio door was just a few years old, we were planning on reusing it as a door in between the new porch and deck. However, the builders discovered the area below and around the Pella patio door had moisture damage due to the door not being installed correctly. According to our builder, it was missing the flange and there were trim nails through the face of the jamb causing leak and aesthetic issues.
We contacted Pella and provided pictures of the sliding door and damage to the house structure but the Minnesota manager only gave us the option to reinstall the existing patio door as is, stating that 'they install it this way all the time.' We did not go this route since we would likely run into the same issues as last time-with water causing rot of the house structure under the door and because our builder would not warranty the addition if we used the Pella door.
I will never purchase another Pella product and I will make sure that family and friends hear about this when they are looking at replacing their windows and doors. These issues cost us significantly more money than we were anticipating having to pay. In addition to having to purchase a new sliding patio door (Marvin, this time), we had to also pay to have the water-damaged areas repaired, areas that were NOT damaged prior to the install of the Pella sliding door. It is unfortunate since we had heard that Pella was a good brand in the past which is why we decided to go with them in the first place.

Let me start by saying that I am a lifelong Pella customer. I upgraded my first home with (13) Pella windows and (3) Pella doors. This install was completed in (5) weeks after the initial order with no flaws whatsoever. I was 100% satisfied with the LOWE'S installation team. I decided to have a front door and storm door installed on a new house just for the sake of having a Pella product in my new house. I made the mistake of using Pella of NC and it was absolutely the worst experience I have encountered in my 35 years of home ownership dealing with all sorts of businesses and contract services. My order consisted of an exterior door and a storm door. If not for the excellent installation by Jimmy, I would rate Pella at ZERO STARS if possible. It took nearly 7 months to finally get the door and proper hardware installed due to damaged product, several re-orders, and a no-show by Pella on a scheduled installation.
Pella did offer a compensation of slightly less than 10%, but I feel I deserved more based on the following timeline: 12/9/24: Doors ordered. 2/6/25: (1st install attempt) Door was severely damaged and had to be re-ordered. 5/2/25: (2nd install attempts) Pella was a no show and did not contact me. (inexcusable). Pella informed that my new door was “missing” and they would call me back when found. After a week they called and said they could not locate the door and had to re-order again.
6/13/25: (3rd install attempt) Both doors are installed but there were no hardware/handles for the door. Hardware was re-ordered. 7/7/25: Door hardware was installed. Several Pella employees confided in me that Pella management can't keep up with small orders and that a recent influx of new employees was the cause of mismanagement and poor communication within Pella. Based on my experience, it is obvious that several key players on the Pella team have reached their level of incompetence. I would consider other options based on the high number of one star reviews on Google, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau.

We have enjoyed our Pella windows with between the glass miniblinds for 20+ years. But here's the catch. They don't have parts for when the blind systems eventually go bad. The parts we need are simple small plastic pieces (little rollers and "cradles" that are part of the string blind raise and lower mechanism) that I need for repairs but they are impossible to get from Pella or any secondary market sources. This means that we would have to replace entire windows to have working blinds again. It is clear that Pella is only interested in having us replace windows for thousands of dollars rather than stock parts to support their older windows. You can forget about repairs for their older products.

I just purchased and had installed $60,000 worth of Pella windows and doors. The two Reserve Triple Sliding doors have astragals that were cut too short and have a 3/8" gap at the top of both astragals. The appearance is very bad. I was told by the installers and the Pella reps that the astragals would be remanufactured and cut to the proper length. These are CUSTOM doors. My sales rep told me that standard pieces were mistakenly put into custom orders. Then when a Pella rep contacted me from Greensboro, NC, I was told the doors were designed this way. NO ONE is taking responsibility and making the effort to get the astragals remade and installed. These doors and windows were installed the week of June 2-6, 2025.
The installers who have worked for Pella in the Roanoke, VA area for many years said they had never seen a Pella sliding door with gaps like this. I was assured by my sales rep and installers that Pella "ALWAYS MAKES THEIR PRODUCT RIGHT". If this is a design flaw, I suggest your engineering and manufacturing team fix this ASAP. I expect these astragals to be remanufactured at the proper length and reinstalled. If this is not done within a short and reasonable time period, I will take legal action against Pella. It is obvious from the many bad reviews that there are manufacturing flaws with your product. I am attaching Pages 1 and 2 of my 23 page Contract.

May 22, 2025 - one star review. I am very unhappy with this company, with customer service, with their product and with their overall responsiveness. I invited Pella Windows and Doors Northwest (Bothell, WA) to come to my home after seeing an ad about their company and products. On the afternoon of the appointment, two representatives of Pella came to my home. The sales pitch was 'under a time limit' - in other words, in order to get a special price deal, the customer has to decide right then and there if they are going to purchase new windows and sign a contract before the salesperson leaves the home.
During the sales pitch, Kristen **, the salesperson, did not provide or even mention that there were samples of frosted or privacy glass for the bathroom window. I was not told that there were options. The first time I saw the type of glass was at installation. This was not the only thing they didn't tell me about, but it is a significant issue.
As for the installation experience: 1. A few days before the installation started on March 25, 2025, I was advised via email that one item would be delayed and could not be installed with the other windows during the 4 days of scheduled installation. The actual installation delay was not advised. 2. On March 25, 2025, the installers arrived at 8:00 am. Between 10am and 11am, Day 1 of the installation, power was lost to 1/2 of the main floor living area because wiring was cut through by the installers. At that time, we did not know this was the cause. The installers simply said it was my problem because they were "not electricians". 3. On March 26, 2025, Day 2 of the installation, it was discovered that 2 windows were measured incorrectly by the Pella team, and the installation for those two windows would be delayed for 5-6 weeks.
4. During the power outage, I contacted Kristen Inge about the problem. Her initial reaction was that it was a problem with my house wiring and did not seem willing to consider that it might be an installation problem. After days of trying to troubleshoot this from my end, I contacted her again and said that the electrician I hired suggested cutting holes in the walls to try to find the break in the wiring. It was at that time she offered to send an electrician that would be paid for by Pella. I had already paid about $350-400 for troubleshooting as well as replacing breakers, outlets and plugs, hoping that it was a breaker or outlet problem. It was not, as it turned out, but I had already gone down that rabbit-hole.
5. On April 3, Seatown Electric came out at Pella's request and expense, and discovered that the wiring had been severed by the installer. 6. On April 10, 16 days after the power went out, Seatown was able to fix the severed wiring problem. Pella said they would pay for the repairs, but it turns out they made their installers pay for it. At no expense to Pella. That made it 16 days in my home without power to 1/2 of my main living area, yet I was not compensated in any way for this inconvenience. 7. On May 5 and 6, the Pella installers came back to finish the installation of 3 windows. That was 6 weeks from Day 1 of this installation project. It should have been 4 days, NOT 6 weeks
8. At the conclusion of the installation, I was asked by the installer to sign that the installation had been completed. I told the installer that I was not happy, yet was told by the installer that by signing, I was only signing off that he had completed the installation and not that everything with the job and product was fine. As it turned out, I was signing that everything was fine.
Specific product complaint: The frosted bathroom window glass is defective. It has obvious scratches and is difficult to slide. #1 the window is defective, #2 it is a bad product, and #3 I think the Pella company can afford to replace this window with a clear glass instead of with frosted glass, since it is under warranty and needs to be replaced. #4 Pella has offered to replace the glass with the same frosted glass, but not with clear glass. If I want to change to clear glass, they will give me a quote.
With all of the problems I have had with this company, I am under the impression that they consider these "normal" problems. I do not think that all of the issues I have had should be considered normal business practices. I think that future customers should know that there is a downside to buying such an expensive product from Pella, and what kind of company they are potentially dealing with. As of May 23, 2025, my issues with this company are still not resolved.

Pella windows are the best on the market. I have the architect line. I purchased directly via the Pella line thinking they would be installing the windows. They don't. There is a service fee each time they come out to make a repair to their work. They won't help you unless you are successful at reading the numbers etched into your windows. The 2 year installation warranty starts the day you order your windows, not the day they are installed. Service agents can be abrasive. I realize they are likely subContractors. When I suggested they hear what customers are told about how everything would be taken care of, they become upset. They don't understand or have empathy for the fact that their subContractors just made installation mistakes. Pella would be even better if they offered and delivered a 6 months post installation checkup to make sure their customers, who are paying top dollar, are satisfied. Pella is the best in my opinion.

We go to a local winery who are friends of ours, and they had the Pella guy there getting a quote. I asked for his card and about six months later I called him and he came out. The presentation was awesome. It was more like, “Just give me the number and leave.” It didn’t feel like a timeshare salesman. The guy was awesome.
Because of that, I got a good deal and bought 20 windows. It was basically a lot, and the installation took four days. The installers were here earlier than I woke up every day, and they even covered my dirty dishes with plastic because of the construction dust. They covered everything with plastic, which was unreal.
There was even an inspector who came out and caught stuff I didn’t. In the process, they forgot some shutters, but a guy came out and installed them a week later.
The windows looked great, our energy bill went down 100 bucks a month, and I got zero percent financing. I wish I had called them earlier.

They took care of everything from start to finish that I didn’t have to worry about hiring a contractor. I didn’t expect to pay that much but overall, Pella’s a good choice.

Most houses today are built wonderfully but they charge a million dollars. They put stock doors on them and you’re going to spend around 30% to make them what you like. When we bought the house, it had a stock door on it. I got a front door and a side door with screen from Pella. We went with them because they have good quality. It's pricier than we would want to spend but once your door is in and you forget about the price. There were a few issues that we had and they came back and they solved them.
They charge a lot because they have service technicians who follow up with warranty issues. For the most part, we're satisfied. Our mailman came up and asked about the door. And I said it's a great door and I like it a lot, but it's super expensive.

I had problems with the first installation of my windows, so they had to redo it. They were installed so tightly that I couldn’t open them, and they weren’t plumb. The doors didn’t shut all the way, and I thought I could have done this poorly.
I had to have a different installation team come out to fix my windows, which took forever. I initially bought them last year, and they were installed around July or September, but then they had to come back out again. One of the windows is a giant picture window, about five feet by five feet, and it doesn’t open.
On top of that, part of my house has no siding because it had to be removed for the installation, so now I have to find someone and pay to put it back. At the time, I couldn’t pursue things because my wife had been in the hospital and later in hospice. But it being winter, I can't have a giant hole in my house. I also have cats and didn’t want to heat or air condition the outside, yet the installers kept leaving everything open.
Customer service was all over the place. I ended up having to step outside the chain and call somebody else within the company that I had met. I had to send videos. I sent thousands of pictures. They kept saying I had to pay before they could follow the warranty. Even after I finally paid, they stalled on the warranty.
The reinstall was slow because they only sent two people to reinstall everything. The first crew had a gazillion people, but the second team had two, so it took all day. And there's another window that they didn't even touch because, again, at that point, I was sort of like, "Whatever. I give up."
As for improvements, Pella should make their training better, in terms of sales, to bring samples and to really go over everything. You don't realize, especially if you're not having all of the windows or if you're replacing it with slightly different one, how much different it's going to look. Also, I wanted bronze windows, and they told me I could get them. But the “bronze” is actually painted, not real bronze. When the paint gets scratched, it’s not bronze at all. Some parts of the window, like the frame and rails, aren’t painted, and the inside parts are all white, which looks stupid when the window is open.

I saw an advertisement, and then I searched the internet and read about it. I watched a few videos, and then I decided. I bought about 13 casement windows. Once they were here, it took about three days. I really like them. They're very easy to operate. I can open them easily. The screen is already in it, so I can open the windows. I don't have to worry about bugs or anything coming in there. They lock very nicely, and the noise outside is hardly noticeable. There's no draft either. So I think they shut very tightly. So I like that about it. The salesman was very good. He explained everything clearly, was very courteous, and was very well-prepared. They gave everything that they promised. The only thing that I noticed and I talked to them about or reported, was that in some of the windows, you don't see any noticeable markings that say these are Pella windows. It's in different places, and in some places I don't see it. So I wondered about that. I sort of asked them why such an expensive good window doesn't have the Pella signature. I'm very satisfied. The service was very good. They're expensive, but I would rate them high.

Pella’s sales rep was really thorough, and techs were friendly and professional. Installation was way faster than I thought it was going to be. When I spotted an issue with a window that was installed, they fixed it. My only frustration would be that, on the day of installation, it was potentially going to rain later in the day, so they were moving really rapidly. Pella put my windows in 2014 or 2015. This time we had a follow-up because the frame rotted at the bottom of the window. They said the wood can’t be replaced because it’s the framing and they just replace the windows. I didn’t see it at first because it was painted. When the paint started to sink in that section, about 3 inches, I noticed it and put my thumb on it and saw that it was rotted. It’s right where it’s glued together, like a seam in the piece of the wood at the bottom.
They removed the decorative part that covered it up and they removed the rotting part. They then put some kind of white material that won’t rot in its place. My windows are not white but off-white, so it doesn’t match. It’s not a perfect thing, but it’s better than seeing that rot.
Other than that, I like my beautiful windows. I don’t have any more drafts, and my AC and heating bill went down. It’s been 10 years, and the windows still look good. When I had a problem with my hinges, they sent someone out and replaced the hinge on the door. When I had a problem with the lock, they came out and replaced the cylinder on the lock. Any time I’ve had a problem, they have addressed it, even though I’m no longer within the warranty period. I don’t know of anybody that does that.

I wanted to enlarge a couple of window openings, and I needed to change a double window into a sliding door which involves masonry work. He wasn’t fazed by any of that and was really familiar with all of those processes. Pella subcontract all their installations to small businesses. Mine took around three days. And then there was the masonry team that was before the actual window install and that went smoothly.
Their prices are absurd though. Ever since the pandemic, everything’s three times as much as it should be. Also, I went back to the same rep on a later date for a quote on a door, and he was pretty dismissive. Maybe because it was a smaller job. At the beginning of my purchase of Pella Windows, I was very happy. Now that I have had the windows for several years when things start going wrong, I’m very disappointed and would not recommend their service ever again. This past winter has been a cold one and inside my windows there were about an inch thick of ice. in my large bathroom and my one bedroom. The other window windows had moisture around it but no ice problem. I called my sales rep Dan, and he told me to contact the customer service. I did call them, but they wanted to charge me $195 to come out to look at them.
When I questioned the amount they made a comment as things have increased. I do understand this, but to come out to check out a problem that you have, was ridiculous to me when I called my sales rep back and asked for a number because I was getting nowhere of someone with more authority and could explain things further to me. He text message me at phone number and said this is the best I could do. He didn’t feel that way as I was signing the paperwork to purchase the windows, which was very frustrating. The customer service is not appealing at all, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. At the request of my sales rep Dan, I had sent pictures showing the thickness of the ice and I was told it was because I have covers or blinds over my windows.
My response was, "Who doesn’t put covers over their windows for privacy." If you have any questions or want to see the pictures prior to purchasing these windows, I will show them to you. I will check further with another company for the replacements of the last two windows. I need replacement for. Definitely not Pella. I did have a company come out last year that carries Pella Windows and would not even give me the price because they were so high. When I had Dan come out to give me a price for my two small bedroom windows, the cost was $5000 for each window. Which is ridiculous. We have 6 double hung Pella windows installed in 97/98. Of the 12 panes total, 4 have literally dissolve in place. The wood has rotted away and the aluminum clad has fallen into the yard. From the pictures it is obvious that one window is sliding down in the frame because there is not enough of the window pane left to hold the glass in place.
To date, I've replaced 2 panes via Pella service. I have been unsuccessful in attempting to get even a quote to replace 2 more (which are being held in place with duct tape) even though their service department did a Zoom visit and I gave them the dimensions. Without a quote, it is impossible to place an order! I've called corporate support to try to get a response and was told "we're very busy". Possibly because so many of their windows are failing! I was told that Pella has discontinued this product line and if we need to replace hardware, we're out of luck. Fortunately we only need to replace the wood and glass... so far. I had a Pella slider before, and I also have Andersen, but after looking at both, I preferred the Pella door. They were very similar, but Pella offered a lifetime warranty on the workmanship and handled the installation themselves. With Andersen, I had to use an independent installer and didn’t get a lifetime warranty. The doors look very similar, but there was just something different about the Pella that I liked better.
I got one price at the home show, and then when the salesman came to my house, he gave me a different price. I didn’t expect the home show price to be final since they hadn’t measured anything yet, but I was told I was getting a discount.
The price the salesman gave me was actually higher than the home show price, which supposedly didn’t even include the discount. The discount itself felt gimmicky because everyone was getting it whether they went to the home show or not, and it just brought the price down to what seemed like the regular price.
I went into the store and told them I wanted the discount I was supposed to get from the home show. Nothing happened for about two weeks. Then the sales manager called and emailed me, asking how my experience had been. So, I told the sales manager the entire story.
When the salesman called me back, I felt he was arrogant and pompous. He said he was giving me a cash price which is an extra 4% off, but when he gave me the number, I was shocked. The store had already told me there was no price difference between paying cash or charging it.
I told them at the store that I had received a quote for an Andersen door, and they said they wanted to meet me in the middle. But when the salesman called me, he didn’t do that. He offered me $200 off and said that was all he could do, take it or leave it. The sales manager then asked what it would take to make it work. I told her I had a price from Home Depot and wanted them to meet me halfway between that price and Pella’s price.
I explained that I wasn’t asking them to meet me halfway to a lower price, but halfway to the price I got from the installer I wanted to use. She agreed and said she could do that because she was the sales manager, and the salesman didn’t have that authority.
The salesman quoted me $5,200. The Andersen door I was quoted was $4,000. Pella ended up giving it to me for $4,500. So, she actually met me a little more than halfway, because the salesman was only offering $200 off. His $5,200 went down to $5,000, and halfway between $5,000 and $4,000 is $4,500. After I stopped dealing with the salesman, my experience was wonderful. I didn’t really care for him.
I knew I wanted a six‑foot slider with the blinds on the inside. Two installers came out to do the job. They were very polite, neat, and clean. It was a hot day, so I brought a fan down for them, and they were very appreciative. They cleaned everything up and hauled everything away. Everything went well.

So, I got my door redone right away, and I’m going to pay my first payment in April, right before the interest kicks in. That is fantastic because I needed it, but I didn't have the money right then because this stuff is not cheap.

I just needed new windows. We had a huge, old window from the 1960s that was worn out and didn’t hold heat or keep the cold out. It was very drafty. I had five new windows set up as a bow window, and it looks very nice.
There are three windows that are solid in the middle, and the two on the outside edges are double‑hung. They open from the top or the bottom, so you don’t get air coming through. It’s a really nice combination.
It was easy to set up an appointment. I went directly to Pella’s website and entered my information. They called me back within a couple of hours and scheduled the appointment. The representative came out, took measurements, and then sent one of the installers to double‑check everything. I liked that they made sure the measurements were accurate, since the windows had to be custom‑made to fit the space.
They do a good job of first taking measurements and then sending an installer and a helper to re‑measure before starting construction to make sure everything is exactly right. The installation was top‑notch. The installers who did the work were really good.

They claimed both breaks were from an external force, but they were in the middle of the night in a private backyard in front of a motion light that didn't go off, with no sign of impact. Their "experts" made the determination and there is nothing you can do but replace for over $900.

The interaction with the representative from Pella was good as well as the quality of the windows. We did notice the way that the piping was done to seal the window was a little sloppy and lumpy. When we pointed it out, they made sure to fix it.
However, after the install, we couldn't ever get ahold of them again. We had questions about doing a final inspection and they just wouldn't answer five different inquiries. The initial coordination was great. But once the project was done, we weren't as happy.

We’ve purchased windows and doors from Pella over the years because of their price and quality. We’ve used the same company, and all of our interactions have always been good. Every time we need doors or windows, we’ve gone back to the same ones. The experience has always been pretty good, except one that’s not great. The installers are very clean and clean up after themselves. If we have any issues, they come back right away and take care of it.

I purchased windows from Pella. I chose them because of the price, quality, and appearance. And my interaction with the representative was good. I didn’t have any problems. And the windows have been good so far, but we’re only a couple of months out. But it’s never about the window. It’s about the installation of the window. The window can be the best in the world, but if it’s not installed properly and correctly, that’s your problem.

Pella had better value than going through a competitor, and they had a lifetime warranty on the door. The quality of the job was mostly good. The installation team was friendly enough, but they were a little bit rushed trying to get out before the end of the day. They actually left a furring strip unpainted on the bottom between the door and the tiled foyer. They did a couple of touch-ups on the painting around the door, but only because I pointed it out before they had to leave.

We’d had some windows put in before that didn’t really stand up, so we went to Pella this time. My husband picked them because he thought it was a good window. They’re expensive, but they're wonderful windows and I’m pleased.
While they are expensive, they do match the rest of the house. These have the grids in them because that’s what went with the house, casement windows, I guess you would call them. They have the crank on the side, and when you open them up, you can wash both sides.

I purchased a door with vinyl instead of wood from Pella. The sales visit was fine. It took about six weeks for the door to come after we ordered them. Then the installer put it in one day. It works and doesn’t run off the track. The cost was pretty high, but the quality was good.

Our order was not delivered in the time frame that Pella gave. The first delay was "manufacturing" damaged the picture window and had to "go to the back of the line" so other orders would not be delayed. That is not how manufacturing works. The second delay was something else. When the (contracted installers by Pella) installed the windows, the trim split very easily when they nailed them. So now we have patched trim, it looks cheap. Some of the were windows were measured too short, so we have smaller windows with a lot of spray foam. The installers also trimmed a room we did not want the trim on, as we had custom oak trim we tried to use. Because of that, we had to go several months without trim on two windows, the kitchen and the dining room. We were told by the local dealer they didn't have any extra trim or people to finish the job.
When the Pella service people finally came and installed the trim. I am not sure how many mitered corners the one person had done before. Throughout this whole experience I have questioned more than once why we picked Pella. As I was telling someone I feel like I was "wallsided" meaning we installed cheap smaller windows. I hope the windows themselves are worth all this. I must admit I am nervous about the pine trim pieces being so bad that we might damage them easily. I have waited more than a month since the last two windows were installed so I might better write the review.

I recently used Pella Windows and Doors for an installation back in July. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, particularly during the consultation process, which I would rate highly. However, there was one issue that stood out. After scheduling my door installation, I saw a commercial offering a window at half price with a door purchase. I inquired about this offer, but it never materialized. Although I decided to let it go, it would have been nice to receive the discount as advertised. Regarding the product itself, the quality of the installed door has been fine, and I have no complaints in that area.

I recently replaced my very old windows, dating back to the 1960s, with Pella Windows and Doors. The original windows were thin and significantly impacted our heating bills and comfort during winter. After some research, I chose Pella for its balance of quality and price.
The process started with a phone call to Pella, where we directly reached out for assistance. The representative who visited us for the presentation was highly knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We ended up purchasing 12 windows, primarily double-hungs, with one picture window and some sliding options.
On the installation day, Pella's team clearly communicated what they would do, allowing us to make the necessary preparations. The installation process was remarkably fast.
Once the windows were in place, I was impressed with the aesthetic improvement they provided. While I can't definitively say if they kept the house warmer, we were pleased with their appearance.
Regarding cost, I found it reasonable for the quality delivered. Personally, while it's challenging to measure the exact impact due to the cold winter, the overall experience with the Pella windows has been satisfactory.
I would rate my experience with Pella as 5 stars for their products and customer service, and 4 stars in terms of price.

I chose to use Pella Windows and Doors for my home mainly due to their reputation for high quality, as affirmed by my neighbors who also have their products. The installation team was exceedingly professional and completed the job swiftly. They arrived on time and ensured that everything was tidy before they left. My interactions with Pella’s customer service were also positive. A consultant checked in to ensure the installation was proceeding as expected, and I worked closely with Gina from sales, who was wonderful in helping to order and set up my doors. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of the doors installed and I plan to call them again when I need to replace my windows.

I recently decided to replace the windows in my 20-year-old home with Pella Windows and Doors due to their age and some becoming cloudy. We undertook a comprehensive remodeling of the house, so updating the windows was well overdue. We replaced around 60 windows, and Pella did an amazing job with the installation. The Pella team was very efficient, completing the installation in a time frame that was quicker than initially quoted, which we deeply appreciated given the exposure of the house to outside elements. The quality of the windows is excellent—they’re beautiful and greatly enhance the look of our home.
I would definitely recommend Pella to friends and family. They are professional and proficient, providing outstanding service and value for money. While I considered other brands, I found Pella to be more reasonably priced, especially compared to competitors like Anderson. Our sales experience was also noteworthy. The salesperson was fantastic, listening closely to our needs and delivering a great presentation without wasting our time. Sadly, he passed away earlier this year, but he made the process smooth and straightforward. Pricing with Pella is fair given the market and the quality of their products and services. I prioritized getting a good brand with a strong warranty, and Pella met these criteria well.

Recently, I bought three more windows which I believe will be the last time I purchase, as I had initially thought of doing some of my downstairs windows too. However, since we moved in a year ago, the prices have gone up significantly, which deterred me from buying more.

The windows in one of our rooms were Pella even though the sliding door was not. We decided to replace that sliding door and we wanted Pella because we got a quote from a different company that was way less than how much a Pella door was and Pella matched their price. Their consult guy was awesome, too. He wasn't going to go until we said yes and we got a very good deal on the door. He was also really nice, informative, answered our questions, and just wanted us to have a good experience with the company.
The installation guys were great as well. They were super clean and really respectful of the rest of the house. Everything was done really efficiently. But I have to call back because we have a screw on the outside molding part that is a little loose. I don't think that the screws they use in the door frame part are deep enough. One of the tracks didn't really catch the wood in our door frame, so it wiggles a little bit. Besides that, we're happy with every one of the blinds in there and it looks great. In the winter, the plastic is a little squeaky sounding, which I'm not the happiest with, but I don't know if that's just because we got the blinds and it's not sealed. That makes it appear a little cheap, but the actual look of it is great. Overall, Pella's product is good quality and I was most impressed with the install because we had a funky door jamb, so they worked really hard for us.

Pella was expensive but the reps did a good job. The first time, I got eight windows done and then, when I got the downstairs done, it was nine windows and a sliding glass door. They're one of the top-of-the-line. It's either them or Andersen I always go with so I know the two are right on top of each other. I know not to buy the Pella windows at Home Depot or Lowe's because they're already prefabbed over there and you have to shimmy it up. I like the way they do it this way with the laser and they fit right in the slot. The quality of the windows is very nice. My mother lives upstairs with me and she loves them too. Pella’s customer service reps answered my questions. They were good. I got what I wanted. I had some questions about financing and they called me right back. I went through that program where it's interest-free for 12 months and I paid them off.

I recently had an experience with Pella Windows and Doors, primarily because we urgently needed a new door; we previously had a tarp in its place. I chose Pella because of their renowned reputation. However, my experience was mixed.
When dealing with Pella representatives, I felt frustrated due to communication issues. It was unclear who I was speaking with, as calls seemed to be transferred across various parts of Iowa. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that the door we purchased wasn't made by Pella, contrary to what their advertisements led me to believe.
Despite these communication hiccups, the installation process was excellent. The crew was professional, efficient, and even replaced some rotted wood upon my request. The installed door is of very high quality, and I am exceptionally pleased with it.
Regarding pricing, the cost caught us off guard since we underestimated how expensive doors could be. While the installation deserved a top rating, I felt overall somewhat confused and let down by the lack of transparency and local manufacturing.
In summary, I would recommend Pella Windows and Doors to others, particularly highlighting the quality of their installation services. However, I would advise potential buyers to ensure they understand the total cost upfront and clarify where the products are manufactured to avoid surprises similar to mine. While I previously considered the company favorably due to its Iowa roots, the discovery of third-party manufacturing reduced my overall satisfaction to a moderate level.

I chose Pella when I replaced my old windows. I found the price reasonable and was impressed by the quality. The Pella consultant visited my home and provided information and samples.
The installation process was generally smooth and fast, although there was an issue with one window on the second floor. It turned out that the window sash was installed on the wrong side, which required replacing seven windows. Pella was helpful throughout and communicated effectively. They acknowledged the mistake and replaced the windows after about a month's wait.
Now that the windows are replaced, I'm satisfied with the quality. I would recommend Pella to others. Overall, I am happy with my experience, the customer service, and the windows themselves. The price was decent, though I’d rate it a bit lower than the service and product.

I chose Pella because I had them before and wanted the same kind of windows, but this time, the service fell short. First, there was a significant communication issue after I signed the contract. They kept contacting me to sign it again, even though I had witnesses and the contract had been signed. My sales representative assured me he would address it, but it was never resolved, which seemed unprofessional for a well-known company like Pella.
Additionally, the cost came as a shock. I was charged $11,000 to replace just two windows, which I found to be exorbitant. Given these experiences, I would not opt for Pella windows in the future. If I had to rate the experience, I would give it a one-star, as it did not meet my expectations and was overwhelmingly disappointing.

I first chose Pella because, after building my house in 2000, some of the original windows needed replacement. Pella offered a great deal on the replacements, and now my windows are guaranteed for life.
The installation crew was exceptional. Despite having around 60 windows in my house, they were meticulous in protecting my floors and deck during the installation. They left my home even cleaner than before they arrived.
I have always loved Pella windows since I built the house 30 years ago. While most of my windows were the high-end designer type, a few of the cheaper proline builder versions needed replacing after 20 years. Pella's replacements are wonderful, and the lifetime guarantee gives me peace of mind.

I ordered a whole 4000 sq ft house of new Pella lifestyle windows and two Pella Reserve sliding glass doors and they all came visibly damaged. Every single item from them looked like a used old damaged product they were selling to me as new. I told them I wanted a refund and to return the windows but they said they would send all new sashes.
This took months, and still all of the new sashes are also likewise damaged, and none of this corrected the other problems with the products beyond the sashes. They are damaged/poorly made with paint peeling, grids cut too short, gashes in the wood, miter joints off, etc. Plus, they are really hard to open and shut, some make strange noises opening/shutting, and they are very drafty. Some are crooked. They keep telling me everything is fine and meets their standards, but this is not how they looked or worked in the showroom. The product quality is not what was sold to me. I’m at a loss on how to keep communicating with them. The manager they sent to my house told me that my kids and dog will damage the windows and doors anyway so it shouldn’t matter that they came damaged.
