Jeffrey came out on time and we chatted. It was good. I went with the salt-free system. I had quite a bit of information I already knew before he came out because of the website. I had to postpone the install several months because I was getting a house put in in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Everybody was very helpful and patient. The job was done really great.

Everything is fine with our Pelican. We're on our third system. Everything's good or we wouldn't keep buying from them. Everything's straightforward and easy to operate. They also got somebody that we can talk to if we need to. When I ordered the UV lights, the sleeves and some filters or when I had a problem resetting my counter, number thing for the day, I've had somebody taught me through all those things and it was no problem at all.

I like that the water is being treated properly with Pelican and so far, the drinking quality is significantly better. The mineral deposits are much easier to remove. I'm glad I have the system and it's an attractive-looking one. It wasn't horribly hard to install for someone who's not a plumber and it's working exactly as it's designed for.

We had a water heater go out and when they took it out, they showed us all of the accumulation on the bottom which was massive. We decided to get a filtration system at that point. We were looking for a saltless conditioner and filtration system and Pelican offered the entire piece. It was also recommended by the plumber whenever we told him we didn't like the one that had salt in it. I looked at it online and ended up purchasing it based on the requirements of the size of our house. They had all the lists there so everything was on the website. That allowed me to make a decision on what size of system I needed.
It was shipped to us within a matter of days and we received it within a week or so that we ordered it. It arrived intact and delivered to the house in three main boxes. I had the plumber install it and it was very straightforward. They supplied all the documentation necessary with the equipment. It's about a two-day process to get it completely installed only because you have to prime one of the filtration systems.
The water tastes fantastic. It's about what I would expect out of a bottled water. We had a filtration system on our refrigerator that put cold water out. Now we can't taste the difference between the filtration system that we had that was costing us every month in changing that out and we don't have to do that any longer because of the fact that we put this in. It's a bit pricier than some of the other models but you get what you pay for in some instances and this is one of them.

I purchased the whole house water system. I now have less sediment in the water and the water is a little softer. Pelican does a great job and I like them.

Pelican came with the house we bought. The owner chose that because we're on well water and the system kills any bacteria that it comes in contact with so it's a safer process. It works amazing and it's one of the best systems that you can get. We had to buy an ultraviolet light for it. We ordered it through Pelican then installed it ourselves. It was pretty simple and straightforward.

Pelican's products are always good and normally, if I do the Subscribe & Save, it is more cost-effective for my financial dollar. I've been happy with their service so far. One time, I placed an order with them online because I was trying to look to find a replacement and I didn't realize at the time that they send whole new housing hardware. The guys that I talked to on the phone got everything set up and arranged the way that I needed it to. It was almost around Christmas time so I wasn't sure if they would be open but they were and they took care of me. It was helpful to talk to somebody that knew the product and was well-versed in the product. It saved me 20 minutes of still searching on the internet for an answer that's not there. Whether I'm using their online system or calling and talking to them, they've done a good job of making sure that I'm getting the product that I want and not trying to oversell me on something else that I'm not interested in.

First let's go over the reason for three stars. I purchased my system on February 22, 2021. A week went by while my system was in transit and the price dropped by $1,081.00. I called and asked for a price adjustment and was told the price was good for seven days. Which got me thinking, When does the 90 days begin. Does it began when you take possession of the product or the day you purchase the system.
I received my system on March 3, 2021. Nine days has passed before I took possession of my system. My options were to reject the order and purchased the discounted price, but restocking fee was 25% plus return shipping, that made that option non-feasible. I ate the lost. What's more disappointing is the fact I was told my 90 starts the time I purchase not take possession. Of course I would have liked the company to have honor the price drop counting seven days after I took possession of the system.
Now on to the system review: The weakest links in this system for water leaks are the sediment filter and Dosatron injector. I hope the engineers read this response to further improve this great product. With the inventions of push connect fitting both John Guest, and SharkBites alike why is there no connection for these point of failure. Also your manual reference Teflon tape. This product is a hit and miss at best. I say this as there were four point of failure between the Sediment Filter and Dosatron injector. Two of those point both on Sediment Filter failed causing leakage of water. I recommend RectorSeal T plus 2 be used exclusively for these critical points of failure. I also highly recommend the purchase of the install kits, they were worth every penny.

We had bad water and a guy came in and showed us what they had. We liked the Pelican water system so we bought it. I have two silver tanks in my backyard. I now have clean water and there's nothing floating in the water like it used to. Another thing about Pelican is they have a good website.

My water system is good. I like it. I got the softener and the conditioner. I also have the inline filter. When I was ordering it, I liked that the gentleman on the phone told me that they have these pieces that you can install it without soldering pipe. Because they do clip on. You set it all up and they’re bendable so you can make them work for whatever direction you want to go in. It worked out fantastic. It cut the installation time way down because you didn’t have to cut pipe, solder it, and put it in the unit. It was really handy. My unit is five years old at least, and I need the carbon replaced in that filter. But everything was good.

Pelican did everything that all the other ones did that I wanted to be done. I was looking for chlorine removal and certain chemicals. I wanted to have extra good water. According to Consumer Reports and to the comparisons, Pelican seemed to be the best choice. I purchased the Pelican system about 10 years ago and then took it with me when I moved, and I installed it in my new house. I recently recharged the main filter about a month ago. That's another thing about the Pelican system is you can recharge them for a minimal price instead of buying the entire filter. With the Pelican system, you can remove the carbon inside of it, and then replace it. It's relatively easy.

I was doing a lot of comparison and internet shopping. The salesperson at Pelican was very knowledgeable and patient, explained things extremely well, and provided me the information I needed. I bought from them a software system and then another pump that did the pH increase, and the drinking water filter. The water is a lot softer since the installation. Our drinking water tastes a lot better than that stuff, too.

I fell in love with Pelican over at Home Depot then I went online. It's a little higher with the unit then than online was so I went directly to Pelican and ordered a whole house filter. I just got done putting in the new media for the whole house filter system about a week ago. It's not a complicated process. You're not gonna break the whole thing by doing it wrong. I liked that about it.
When you go to buy the media, it doesn't jump out at you. I have the PSE1800 and there were no media kits posted among those that said, "Use for PSE1800 and up." I had to chat with somebody to find out for sure that the one I picked was the right one. Otherwise, it would have been a blind shot. That would be one thing that Pelican should put in there. The website was a little bit less intuitive than I thought it should be.
I got the water filter out of necessity. It's nice. Now, the water tastes better and you can drink the shower water. I'll probably order the ultraviolet system here soon just as the final layer in the whole thing now that we have bio-organisms to contend with on an unknown level and viruses. It's a good choice to put on the other side of the unit. I recommend Pelican all the time. I firmly believe in buying the right thing the first time and I always tell everybody, "Buy the best, only cry once." I researched Pelican and there's nobody out there doing as good a job.

I had used them in the past and I found over the years that their support was fantastic. My older Pelican system failed and I had to replace it. I installed the system myself. One of the nice things about them is they're very simple to install and set up. But I'd like to see them support their products longer. The unit that I had was five years old when a component failed but they no longer supported it. So rather than replace a $300 head, I had to buy $1,000 unit all over again.

Sales team is very nice but what they don’t tell you are the hidden costs. They tell you it’s a simple project for a plumber or handyman. The unit for a 1500 square ft home was over $3K. The amount of plumbing parts required was a few hundred dollars. The labor for a plumber was over $2500!! It’s not a simple day project either. The amount of plumbing work to be done was ludicrous. Back and forth trying to find all the parts at Lowe’s, Home Depot, ACE.
Tanks are MASSIVE, you need to build something to hold/contain everything. Once you BUILD and put system together, you need to fill tank with water for three days, run bleach through lines, ensure you open all faucets to clear bleach out - house smells like bleach for a day. Easier and cheaper to just call Culligan Water. I cannot even tell the system is working. I am assuming it’s working since we followed all steps. #RIPOFF

Hello Sherie,
We are sorry to hear your about your experience with your local plumber. What they charge you is outside of our control. However, we are concerned that your licensed plumber didn't have basic plumbing fittings on his truck to install your system. Because you purchased a UV system for bacteria, bleaching the lines is an important step to ensuring there is no bacteria after the UV system (which it cannot treat since it treats water at the source). You can easily test that your system is working by checking the chlorine levels after the system or having a bacteria test done.
Please also note you have a 90 day money back guarantee on your purchase.

After I ordered, it came in a good amount of time and the system was super easy to install. I did it all myself. Everything is great and I love that it's handheld. Be aware that this company will trick you. I had my whole house water filter system installed. I asked the guy selling the product for me if he was sure if the system is outside and not in the garage? He said yes. The material they use, the pipes are made from cheap plastic, which should not be place outside. During winter, when the temperatures dropped. The pipes were fragile and broken. Then I tried to contact the company to come and fix and change the material, all things I received was just voice mail for weeks. I called every day and it is always the voice mail. I still on my 90 days warranty. At least, they have to talk to me or say anything about it. All received until now is the silent and endless voice mail. I think I will file the lawsuit to sue this scam company if this is not getting better or receive the response from the company. I have the second home to do but for sure, with this customer service, I would never call them again. Scammer.

Hello Mr. Tho,
We are sorry to hear about your frozen pipes caused by an unforeseen winter storm in Texas. Because of this storm we have had extreme call volume which has resulted in longer wait times then normal, we apologize for your experience calling our customer service teams.
Your system was plumbed with standard, approved plumbing fittings and piping. Due to the extreme temperatures you experienced from that storm, water froze inside your pipes causing them to crack. This has been a widespread issue throughout Texas a result of the storm and not just for your water system. We are working with each customer to schedule service visits were needed to repair systems damaged by the storms.
We show you spoke to a technical support representative on 3/3 and they scheduled a service visit for your system. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further concerns.

When I bought the house, there wasn't any plumbing in it so I had to replumb the whole house. When I did it, I put the Pelican water system in. I understand the water is pretty horrible here. The reps were really helpful. The one gentleman I talked to walked me through the whole spiel of changing out the carbon. I live in Chicago and it's cold up here. I wanted to take the thing outside and do it properly with the hose and everything plus the carbon. I'm waiting for the weather to get better to do that. My water is good. It looks like there's calcium being built up on some of the things but that's probably because we haven't changed the charcoal. All in all, I would suggest Pelican to family and friends.

But there was a slight delay between my cellphone and their internet connection for their working from home type deal.
I bought the water system and they shipped it from Florida to my house in Omaha, Nebraska. I had a plumber install it. The negative thing is their documentation that was shipped with the product. This time I just ordered online. Because of the way this house is set up, I didn't get the whole-house system, which I would have liked to have done. I just got a shower filter this time. Hoping to get some more later. Pelican has a really good product. It's worked for us. Before we moved, we were in a rural area. The water was horrible. The first representative that we talked to about a year and a half ago sold us on a salt-free softening system from Pelican and it didn't work. We spent over $2,000 on it. We used it for a year and a half and we still had hard water deposits everywhere. Our water was still really hard and my appliances were breaking. So I still had to put water softening stuff in my coffee machines because it didn't work. So we needed to buy a salt system and we ended up getting rid of that other salt-free one, which was a horrible device. I was not happy that we spent that much money on it and it really did not do what it advertised that it would do.
We went ahead and went with Pelican even though we weren't happy about the previous. The softener that we bought is working fine and it's doing the trick. My husband installed it and it was pretty easy for him to do. But the average joe probably should hire a plumber because my husband is a general contractor and has a license in commercial work.
We already have a full water system. We had bought the fluoride system several years ago to keep fluoride out of my water. It's a toxic chemical. Now that we've added the right kind of softener, our water is softer and it's not sticking. I also don't have as many mineral deposits all over everything. I don't have as many water spots and our machines seem to be starting to work better.

Hello Lynn,
We are sorry to hear the system did not meet your expectations. While most of our customers are happy with our products, water conditions can change causing you to have to change or adjust your system to work for your water conditions. We are happy to hear your salt based system is working for you. Please let us know if we can help you adjust your salt system should you see a change in your water again.

I’d gotten used to it, but when I had an offline bypass for a few days so that the carbon could soak, I didn't realize how much chlorine taste it takes out of the water. I didn't realize how good our water tasted with that system. So, the charcoal does its job. The overall quality of the system is very good. My bypass valve wouldn't shut off, so it was leaking. I was happy with the product when it arrived. I installed it myself. It was fairly simple. The instructions were straightforward. The technician (Todd **) installed it but 30 days afterwards, there has been NO change in water quality and the sulfur smell is just as bad as ever. I called the Pelican "Help Line" (855-348-7771) three times and each time my calls are sent to voicemail. I left my name, phone number, a short message and requested a call-back all three times. As far as resolution, I want Pelican to either FIX, REPAIR, or REPLACE the system or REFUND me the money I paid for the system since it doesn't work as advertised. Updated on 10/06/2020: After posting a poor review and responses to the company's responses I was contacted on September 24, 2020. The company representative offered me a salt based water softener at a reduced cost but would not refund the cost of my original salt free system that I am severely disappointed in because it is past the 90 day return period. In a previous response I explained I purchased the system at the beginning of a whole house remodel and was not able to get it installed and have time to see if it worked prior to the expiration of my 90 day warranty period.
Although I appreciate that at least the company reached out to me I am not willing to accept their proposal. I purchased a salt free system and I am convinced that the advertising of how the unit would perform was incorrect. Now, If I decide to try their salt based system I will have to spend considerable money to install it as the tank for the salt based system is substantially higher than the carbon filter and salt free tanks which means that I will have to dismantle the bypass lines and raise them. Still hoping the company will make this right.
Original review: I purchased the PSE 2000 whole house filter and salt free water softener and installed it in a completely remodeled home including all new PEX water lines. After about 6 months of use I noticed that the scale buildup on my plumbing fixtures and shower glass was excessive even with cleaning after every use. I purchased a TDS digital tester and tested my water before the filter and after the filter. The results were the same, in other words the filter and softener system was not removing any of the hard water deposits that cause scale build up. I called the company to ask some questions. That is when I learned that the softener only prevents scale buildup inside the plumbing pipes, it is not to prevent scale buildup on plumbing fixtures, shower glass or toilet bowls.
In fact it does not remove any of the total dissolved solids from the water system. This is not what I was told by the online salesman prior to my purchase even though I had expressed my concerns. I now know that I need a salt based water softener. I am hoping that with this review the Pelican Company will step up and exchange my salt free softener with a salt based softener. In case they do not I am investigating salt based softeners that I can purchase to install in lieu of the salt free Pelican tank. I am hope they will do the right thing. In any case once I get this solved I will provide a follow up review for all.

Hello Vince,
We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your 2018 purchase. Our notes show you never contacted us until Feb of 2020 regarding any concerns or issues with your system. Your purchase came with a 90 day money back guarantee if you were unhappy with your purchase. Our certified salt-free system does in fact prevent hard water scale but does it without removing minerals from your water. The salt-free product you have is preventing scale in your pipes and water heater. Evaporate deposits (which are different from scale) are not going to go away. Evaporate deposits occur any time you have TDS in your water, and water dries on a surface. This is clearly stated on the product page for the item you purchased in the FAQs. Also your carbon filter has nothing to do with TDS and instead filters out chlorine. That has a 5 year performance guarantee on the media. Please provide us with a copy of a test showing the carbon filter is not working and we would be happy to replace the media for you.

I was lied to, I was mislead, I was given wrong information. I learned very early in sales always be honest because in the long term you will benefit from it, its good practice, shows your character and you can avoid things like this, disappointed customers.
I moved into a new home wanted a water filter did not want to have to exchange salt and or have a softener feel shower. After looking online I found this company which uses a play on words. BE CAREFUL. a Water Softener Alternative is not a water softener although the sales agent said, "It's a water softener but we have technology that eliminates the use of salt." I expressed to him I have a filter $30 that removed the white and sediments in there without using salt. He goes, "Oh yes I have one. It won't be in there. You'll be find this one is great for you. No residue will be left." This guy was speaking like he is an expert, "We have a return policy. We take the item back from you no problems. If you have any issues try 90 days. We have specials. You will love it."
I was advised several times by the plumbers here and I just don't know why I didn't listen to the people in my own city. They advised me against this brand, this product and I pay for their time. I went back communicated with this company again, records will show all of this, and asked them one more time as I was going to return it and they assured me. I paid $50 for consult and $800 for installation. Worse decision I have made. Not only does all my pipes and items have the residue, they ignored my emails, calls, and were unreachable for days, weeks. They acted confused with everything I mentioned, and were unhelpful at every turn.
I finally reached out to my bank to get my money back. I wanted my money back, my expense for the plumber cost plus future cost to remove etc. Look at all their advertisement and things they say to bait you, then look at the cost you incur and the response they have. I have all on record. They are trying to fight me on this, try to send this to collections while my CC bank is investigating this. I have never heard of a company stating a customer hasn't paid when they have, and sending them to collection while the credit card company is investigating this. They want to fight you and they have not been good at any turn.
Please I warn you guys!!!! Be careful with these guys! Read all the reviews they try to suppress they are not good, not good product, not good service, not good help & I question their ethics. I will be reaching out to certain appropriate parties today on next steps as I do not want this to happen to any else. Please share my story!!

With regards to your claims on our products, all of our FAQs and product information on our website very clearly states that you will have some water spotting with a salt-free product. It is also in the owners manual for the system you purchased. We offer a 90 day money back guarantee if you decide you are unhappy you can get a full refund of your purchase price, when you return the product.
In our emails with you, you indicated that you were told by the sales rep "I was told the water would be clear there is a slight chance of spotting". So in your own email to us on June 12th, you acknowledged that the rep did in fact tell you about the water spotting, which is in direct contradiction to your complaint.
We also offered to swap your salt free system for a traditional salt softener to meet your expectations but you refused.
Given the chargeback, we have nothing left to refund you. We can only refund you the purchase price of the system, we cannot refund you for fees you didn't pay us.

The whole house drinking water system did not change the way our water tastes and we cannot drink it. The saltless water conditioner has had no impact on our water that we can tell. We have had to replace our dishwater and our faucets are corroded and now need replaced. We bought both of these units with high hopes but are very disappointed. I have complained to no avail. They will not test our water or offer any solutions other than using a spray cleaner (which will not help with deposits on our hair, radiators, or inside our hot water tank).

Hello Rebecca,
We are sorry to hear that you system is not working as you would like. We recommended having your drinking water checked for chlorine locally as its faster and less expensive to confirm that the certified carbon filter you purchased is in fact reducing the chlorine but you did not choose to have it tested, so we cannot confirm your claim on the carbon filter.
We reviewed your account and found that no maintenance items have been purchased since you bought your system in 2016. Failure to do standard maintenance can effect the performance of your system. Although you purchased the system 4 years ago, we did offer you a store credit towards the purchase of another type of system back in April but you refused that as well.
We are more than happy to help you with your water concerns and find a system that meets your expectations and have gone above and beyond to help resolve your concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us with further questions.

I was sold wf10 system because we have lot of iron in our well water. Purchased the system in April 2019, installed in June/July 2019. Was promised it will take care all water problems, water will be better than bottle water. From day 1 after installing we always had iron in our water. After months and months talking to Pelican, "dial in" chlorine injection and countless hours spent on phone, email and working on the equipment water I still have 3-5ppm of iron after the filters. Water test done by pelican on 8/29/19 show iron tank is only taking out 1.16ppm of iron out of 4.55ppm. Also the Natursoft filter failed to take any hardness out!
Pelican did offer to refund money, but I would have to pay to uninstall the filters and pay shipping about $1500. Very disappointed with pelican and myself for spending any money with pelican. The reviews you see on pelican websites only show 4-5 star. The review I left on their website never got published. This is the response I got back "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!"

Dear Mr **,
Our WF systems work very well when properly dialed in and on wells with properly working pumps and pressure tanks. Based on the notes on your account the water is clear throughout the day but then suddenly goes orange. This intermittent color change indicates issues with your well either pressure or flow. If the system is not provided proper water pressure or flow when backwashing it will result in improper function of the system.
We have continued to work with you providing you with additional equipment at no cost to resolve your concerns. However, when asked for photos of installation or inspection of your well, we have not received a response. If you need additional help we will be happy to assist.

My wife is in hospice and she needed to be able to have a shower that had a lead to it, which was why we got the premium shower head with a five-foot wand from Pelican Water Systems. I had a little trouble getting it hooked up, but my daughter kept at it until we finally got it on. It was hard to get it on the pipe. I’ve always had a shower head that purified the water, but I don’t think it was quite as good as this one.

I saw Pelican Water on Amazon and they had some decent reviews. The water here in Michigan can be either good or bad, so I just wanted a safety buffer. I replaced a bunch of stuff, the hot water tank, and put a softener then I got the sensor. I put the Pelican system in myself. The seal they gave me though, it's too thick and it doesn’t seal the tank to the housing. It leaks and I had to go out and buy another one that was much thinner. The water is good, though.

My husband is a home builder and we get various vendors and stuff. We had one of the Pelican vendors set up a booth at one of our Freda Homes. We ended up installing that system in two of our own separate personal houses then we sold it to a couple of customers who got in touch. They wanted and they installed the systems in their house too.
The only suggestion is where to find the water filter. At this time, you just have to go online and order it. It's really not that hard. Other than that, the Pelican reps were great. Also, I got to other people's house and the water smells. It's really hard for me to drink other people's water just because I notice the difference. Even the ice cubes smell.

We built a new house 10 years ago. Our first well had serious iron problems, so we had a local water treatment company come in and install a system. The iron continued to get worse, so we drilled a second well that was almost four times deeper to try to get away from the iron issues. It turned out, we still had some iron problems. They adjusted the system, and I kept having them come back and recharge the beads, and it wasn’t working. My wife wouldn’t drink the water. It had a funny smell to it. City water is not an option because we live out in the country. I didn’t wanna spend $5,000 on a system, but I felt that that was our only recourse.
I bought the Pelican system online, and they delivered it. The only issue I had was it was hard to find somebody to install it. But I called Pelican, and they gave me a phone number for a guy who had installed some within the area. He was about 100 miles away. He drove out and installed it and he did a fantastic job. That took care of the iron, but we were having problems with like a slime in the water. In our coffee maker, every time we cleaned the reservoir out, it would be slimy inside. So, I wasn’t sure what to do about our chlorination injection system. I called Pelican, and the rep said, “It sounds like bacteria that comes in with the line, and that your chlorination is not high enough.”
So, we went back-and-forth. They sent us some parts. Our chlorination pump was not functioning properly. Since then we’ve gotten everything working the way it’s supposed to work. The slime is gone and the water smells good. It tastes good, too. It’s crystal clear. I was drinking some water last night, and I told my wife, “You know what? The system was worth every penny.” I would recommend this system to anybody.

The Pelican Water System is quite beneficial. It’s good for drinking water, for the shower, and for washing my clothes. The filters are not really that expensive. They charge a reasonable price for them. But I wish Pelican would give senior citizens a discount. Also, I had the system so long and it had to be like rebooted or reactivated. Also, the unit is made in the USA and I always look for that first whenever I’m buying things. I purchased it online and installed it myself. The installation was very easy and so far, the reverse osmosis gives a little better water quality than the filter system that we used to have. The taste is a little better as well because it has this after-filter on it before the water comes out of the little faucet. Plus, the pressure is better because the water is processed and put in a pressure tank, so the flow is faster. And my wife likes the faucet design better which has a little plastic knob on it.

That’s a hefty price to pay for something but I like to research. With Pelican, I liked the results that I found and there were a lot of good reviews. The system seems to be working pretty well. We've had the water treatment system for 10 years. I had the water heater replaced recently.
I like the Pelican products and I love their people. I’ve only had to call once or twice. The technical guys were phenomenal and they walked me through everything. They made sure that I understood. I could do this myself, which was probably why I bought the system. If you’re gonna buy a system that’s expensive, you don’t wanna pay 100 bucks every six months to have somebody come out and change the filter for you. Everything that can be done on a personal individual level, I try to do it myself.

I researched based on my needs of having a good system that would protect us all the way. And I did a lot of research, reading the internet, reading different reviews, and Pelican seemed to be the best to meet our needs and had good customer feedback, and had people happy that bought it. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I told him what I wanted, what we needed it for, and he made recommendations based on his experience. It also helped that he was trustworthy. He was a great salesperson.
The system does what it’s supposed to, and it’s well-built, so we were really happy that we purchased that system. Our water supply had a lot of sediment in it. We don't have problems with sediment anymore. One of the main reasons that we purchased the system for was the municipal town that provides us the water for our neighborhood said that they were potentially not going to have enough chemicals to treat their water because they get their chemicals from China, and there was a shortage. So, instead of boiling water, I did a lot of research to find out what we could do if that happened. And it came down to those filters and a UV light would make it safe and not have to boil it.
When we first bought it, there was a problem with the UV light. It kept popping the ground fault. I contacted Pelican and they sent a part to replace it, and that didn't fix the problem. So, they sent another part. But that’s completely understandable. They were very quick. They sent it out overnight. Electronics are complex enough that I don't expect perfection every time. But the way they acted, and the way they treated me and made it right very quickly, was outstanding.

We ended up going with Pelican even though it was more expensive than Aquasana because they had a better warranty
We hired a plumber to install. He had to come back about three times. It wasn't like quick for him. We could have presoaked the tank to begin with but we didn't. Then the carbon filters shut off when he was installing it because the level was off. He had to wait 24 hours and then come back to finish. And when he did, it took him just like a few minutes. We're pretty happy with it. This is a really expensive system and we hope that it lasts a long time. We not only use the system, but then we also use a filtered pitcher that we put the reverse osmosis water into and put it in our refrigerator so it's extra filtered.
My husband installed the system and the faucet that came with it rusted out, so we recently had to replace that. When we needed filters, we just followed the directions in the guide that came with it to order the filters that we needed. I started shopping for a UV purification system about three years ago. I first learned about ultraviolet purification systems because there is a company that is fairly close to here that manufactures them. And so I contacted them first and found out that the only thing that they manufacture are industrial size ones. They didn't have anything that would be appropriate for what I needed, which is between 12 and 20 gallons a minute treatment. Their smallest one was 400 gallons a minute, so it was something really big. The guy there suggested that I look up Pelican Water Systems, so I looked up their website. I knew from reading the website what I needed. The sales rep basically confirmed that I was correct and we took care of it. I installed the system myself and it was just fine. It's a 3/4 inch pipe in and 3/4 inch pipe out and a plug. That's all you really need. Everything came just fine.
We run this little cottage colony which is where the system is being utilized. I've been doing the maintenance and plumbing since I was 12 years old here. And this year, since we only have this place open six months out of the year, I change the bulb every two years instead of every once a year. And so, I just changed the bulb this year for the first time and it came just fine. Pelican keeps great records. I called, they told me what I bought and what I needed, and the part number, because I had it repaired, but their rep knew before I could tell him what the side of the machine said. The part arrived a couple of days later and we just stuck it in and we were all set. We like the system a lot. I've recommended Pelican to a couple of other people here around our lake.

I wanted the simplest filtration system for the house I could get. I didn’t want to have to connect through electricity and I didn't want salt. I did a search and when I found Pelican Water, the reviews were good. Then, they sent me an email about a sale. They took a significant amount off of the unit I bought, so I ended up going with them. I installed the system myself and it was easy. I’m a contractor and I build houses. But anyone can do it because the copper setup was simple. All I had to do was run a couple of 4-foot lines from my water main and it was done. It took me 30 minutes, so it went well.
Other than that, I was expecting the water to be a little softer because the water where I live is very hard. I noticed the water’s a little bit softer in the shower, but not like I thought it would be. But it did take a lot of the hardness out of our water. Still, when I used that system to fill up my Jacuzzi, the hardness was still pretty bad when I went to check the water. But I got a 50% reduction in the water hardness from it. I have also noticed a significant difference in the taste of the water. Then, I just put in a new shower in one of my bathrooms and it’s a lot of glass. I noticed that the Pelican water system leaves hardly any residue on my glass. It used to be horrible and I would have etched-looking glass. I had to clean it and squeegee it after every shower.
Also, my dishwasher and things work way better than they did prior to having this system. And I have a black kitchen faucet feature that had to be scrubbed down every two days or it would get really gross-looking from the water. But since I’ve had the Pelican, I haven’t really had to scrub it at all. So, it’s doing a good job and I’m very happy with it.

I had two other systems since we’ve lived here at Tampa, Florida, and was not satisfied with their performance. Both of them failed. In April of last year, I did some research and I came across the Pelican System, which I never heard of before. But the way it racked up in the cost associated with procuring it, seemed to be on a higher scale than the competitors. So, I went out and had a guy come in. We talked for about 45 minutes and from that point on, I had it installed, and I’ve been happy with it ever since.
In Florida, our water is very hard. The water around our faucets, especially around the spickets at the end, ended up with a lot of calcium buildup. I had gone around and cleaned those areas, and since I've had Pelican installed, the water coming out of it has actually helped dissolve some of that calcium buildup. I have no calcium whatsoever on any of my testers at this point in time. Of course, I get water spots occasionally, but the actual faucets themselves seemed to be in good shape. The calcium buildup is what causes most faucets would fail. Eventually, they become so bad that the fixture cannot work any longer. So, it was a very positive note.
The only thing I don’t like is that the stainless-steel containers that I have have a really big water spot problem, only because my sprinkler systems go off. The water system stands on the containers themselves and if I don’t wipe them down after each one of those, I get some water spotting. But I’m very happy with Pelican and I'm only one year into this product. We'll see how it works if they perform this well over the decade. Recently, I pulled my filter out and it was totally black. It tells me right off the bat it’s filtering very well. I just put a new one in.

The property we bought had a well and our home inspection report said that the water had E. coli. They “shocked the well,” which means they poured some bleach down there, but I figured, if they got in there once, it could return. I was concerned about the water quality of our well and I wanted to put a water system in. I Google searched it, and then I came across the name Pelican and before that, I heard about it on the radio as well.
It drives me crazy when I try to call a company and I have to go all the way to the bottom of the page and look for "Contact Us." It then gives me an email that I can send, and then maybe they’ll call me back. That was not the case. Pelican's website was very informative and easy to navigate. Their contact information was there so I didn’t have to hunt for it. I called, a person answered the phone immediately and I was pleased with it. The reps were fantastic. I told them what my concern was and they told me what I needed. I was so impressed because they didn’t try to oversell me. They asked if the water was bothersome as far as being hard or soft and I said no. They said I didn't necessarily need the water softener, but they recommended a system, which sounded great.
They explained things very well to me, including what a typical system was and what the parts did. It was a nice conversation we had to get me to the purchase of the system that I bought. The system I have has three parts, which are the pre-filter, then the main charcoal filter, and then the UV light treatment. They explained to me that the fiber cloth pre-filter would filter out most of the particulates then the tall charcoal filter would get the lead particles, but the UV light treatment would ensure that it killed any bacteria that might be in the water. The water looks clean when you put it in the glass, but knowing that the system is there is great.
There's peace of mind in knowing I’m drinking clean water. Now, I have not had the water tested by a lab yet, but I plan on doing that. We’ve been drinking the water and we haven’t had any intestinal problems or anything like that, so that’s a good thing. The water tastes better too. Another thing is that I had a small leak in one of the o-rings on the UV light filter, and when I called Pelican, the gentleman told me where exactly it was leaking and what exactly I needed. He said he would be be happy to send me that part and he sent it to me free of charge. I had it in a day, so I could not have been happier with that.

There’s one kind of a negative thing about the system. The self-injector for the chlorine seems to be extra nois. The clicking noise is a little louder than normal. It was actually heating through to the outside of those turn-off valves. I had 14 of those things that had to be replaced and it was totally because of the terrible and hardness of water that we have. That’s what drove the need for a water softener. I went on the internet and started checking out the different systems then I decided on with Pelican.
I can tell the difference in some strange, unusual way since having it. What I first noticed was the fact that when I do my laundry, when I take things out of the dryer, they felt thick. Now, they’re a lot softer. The next thing I noticed was that my hair behaved better after shower. If it saves my plumbing, it will save me a ton of money in the future, not having to have all that stuff required because my house is not that old. Even in the winter, if you don’t use eight gallons of lotion, and you have a scaly skin, that is not nearly as bad.
I just love it. I wouldn’t go back to the regular stuff where all the skin’s drying. before, my brother-in-law had to clean up all the parts of my ice maker in my fridge because this has all gangs up with the corrosion. Now my ice is much clearer. It’s not foggy like it used to be. It’s amazing to me what it really does. I also don't get any kind of spots with the dishwashers. I don’t have to use that pot stuff. There was a small remark with the tank, which was edited and there was display malfunction, which was replaced. I'm really very pleased. The service guy was very professional, fast, experienced, and polite. Since the corrections were made, there was a drastic difference. There was no smell anymore and the water was quite soft and perfect. We've been very pleased so far.

I got a two-tank full house system which is a salt-free softener combo from Pelican. I have it for about a good year now and it seems like I don’t see any hard water buildup on my glass shower. That’s kinda changed. The customer service was very good. My tank head was leaking and they thought it was the top part. They sent me the part right away but it wasn’t that part, it was the tank itself so they sent me a whole new tank. That was nice that they didn’t really hesitate to send me the parts that I needed.

When my late husband was diagnosed with cancer five years ago, he started researching water systems because we had to replace our Rainsoft that had broken about five years earlier. He did a lot of reading and said Pelican is the best one out there. We had an earthquake in 2011, and everybody had their water tested because people were concerned about infiltration. I live on a private well and I had my historical water test. I went down the line with an agent and I was told I don't have a lot of iron, but my pH was high. We looked at the report and we went back and forth and had a good discussion.
He was really great. He recommended stuff and I said okay. Because of the number of people who are living in my home and my number of bedrooms, I’m very happy with my system. I love it. It's much better than having to drop 60 pounds of salt blocks into a container. I also love the fact that I have the UV disinfectant. My husband passed from cancer and now, I care for my father who’s a cancer patient. Having that added barrier of protection gives me, definitely, more peace of mind.

The water was very corrosive. Then I went online to research ways to protect my equipment in the house. Pelican water conditioners seemed to stand out to me. I got their carbon filter and water conditioner and the quality is excellent. Also, the life of their water conditioner seemed to be better because it was lifetime where others had not been offering a lifetime warranty. I also ordered another system from their competitor and Pelican comes out ahead because of the fact that there is a lifetime warranty, and their competitors couldn't believe it either. So far, I'm very happy with it and it seems to be doing very well.

I grew up in Phoenix and we had a Water softener. And I'm also aware that the high mineral content of Arizona's water can impact appliances. And so, we were putting in new fixtures, and our plumber was doing some upgrades and repairs around the house, and I asked him if there were salt-free water softeners and asked him about water filtration. And so, he put the whole package in and I also got a tankless water heater.
Since having the Pelican Water installed, the water tastes better. I fill my water bottle from the sink. Now, I do it for my refrigerator too. I have a Samsung refrigerator that also filters the water and makes it colder. I've also noticed that when the refrigerator is in between filtration, it also coincided with the filtration system needing to be replaced, and I was filling up my water bottle, I noticed that it was off-gassing. When it was empty and I was gonna refill it, it had a dank smell to it. Now, that doesn't happen at all.
I like the taste because as my plumber told me, the minerals are left in. So, for me, that's better than the water osmosis system because we need those minerals. They provided the taste, but my filtration system removes the other stuff that is objectionable. I really like my water filtration system. I have new fixtures, new sinks, new toilets and new shower and I don't have the water build-up even on the faucet in the kitchen.

Immediately, we could tell that there wasn’t a film on our dishes, even though we still get some water spots sometimes. There was still a noticeable difference with that in the dishwasher. I also noticed, with my hair and in the shower, it was softer-feeling.

I liked how I could install Pelican's system myself and that it didn't matter whether I installed it myself or asked my installer. I didn't want to spend $5,000 for the system and then spend another $5,000 to have somebody plug it in. I appreciated the installation guide and the information when I called and talked to somebody. They walked me through any minor problems that I had. So far, the system has been totally worth my application for what it's doing with my water. I had to change my well pump right after I put my system in and I had a lot of mud and dirt coming in. Pelican's filters did exactly what they were supposed to do. Now my house has clean water. My dogs love it. The reverse osmosis feature works great. Pelican has great support too.

In previous years, I was having some trouble with my well that was putting off a sulfur smell. I talked to Pelican and they said that they have a piece of equipment that would remove it and I was skeptical. But I bought it because the sulfur smell was so bad and installed it and that smell immediately went away. I still had problems though with the minerals in the water and it was staining the toilets.
The sales consultant was very helpful and knowledgeable. I asked him if all this stuff hooked to my well would make some pressure lower coming out of the tap and he said absolutely not, and he was correct. Then I did the installation by myself. It’s under my house but I’ve got a really high ceiling where I can stand up there so I lined it up along the wall and connected one right after the other. It was a piece of cake. Rarely do you find the product that tells you one thing and it turns out to be that. The stains are gone from the commodes. My wife says she can tell a difference with her hair and washing her hair. I can tell a difference even the laundry. It’s been a pleasure to deal with Pelican. Everything they said about the system was correct.

I used another device for 30 years and they went out of business. They had fabulous water. The only one that I could find that was comparable was Pelican, and so I chose them. I like the countertop rather than under the sink because I have control over how much water I’m putting through the filter if I’m washing dishes or something that the water shouldn’t have to be filtered. But if I’m washing vegetables or use it for drinking water, I wanna be able to isolate the use of the water.
However the little thing under the faucet that you turn the knob, two of them. One of them cracked completely because it’s plastic inside. The unit it turns against is plastic instead of metal and then they had to replace that. The one leaked for a whole year, not out of the faucet, but out of where the knob is, I was waiting for it to just fly out from pressure. And then finally, I called and they sent me another one. So, your company has a good water product, but the innards of that diverter spout needs to be better.
The People in the technical department, when they sent me one of the replacements, there were no instructions and because the ends are color-coded to go into the filters, I wasn’t sure which one to put on the top or which one to cinch on the bottom of the actual diverter head. I called and they put me through the technical department, and the guy there didn't know.
And then I got online trying to see if they had any video instructions but there was nothing online about it. There were no pictures online as to which feed line goes on the in or the out of the diverter. What the guy in the technical department did was he just sent me another one that was already connected. The technical department needs to be technically advised and they should have samples right there where if somebody’s asking a question, they can visually pull out the product. Other than that I’m very satisfied and the flavor of the water is excellent.

I’m a plumber and 15 years ago, one of my regular plumbing customers who calls me at least twice a year called me to come over because they ordered this elaborate Pelican system. They may have paid $1,000 for the three-piece unit -- the prefilter, the filter, and the softener. It was the first one I ever saw it. I read the instructions and I installed it, and ever since then, I’ve been mentioning Pelican when I go to people’s houses and they have salt water softeners. I told them that it's the new technology out and to google Pelican. Over the 15 years, the price has gone up considerably, but people love that they don’t have to add salt anymore as well as the texture of the water. We bought the shower head unit from Pelican about three months ago. Not only do I enjoy it, but I enjoy the water and especially now at our house, the shower. I’m gonna do the whole house with the three-piece unit, but I wanna change all the water lines in the house first.
Installing the system is very lucrative for me because there’s not a lot of plumbers out there that know how to do it, but I do. I’ve been doing it for so many years. I know how to soak it for 48 hours, and then come back, and then I’ll get all the extra charcoal out. I don’t even read the instructions anymore. I haven’t in years. I’ve installed Pelican’s units in multiple places in New Jersey and spread the word for them. When I recommend it, two weeks later, people would get it and I would come back to install it. So, I’m happy installing Pelican's equipment and we’re very happy with them too.

Pelican offered the salt-free water conditioning option and I didn’t wanna be dumping bags of salt when I’m 80 years old. That has worked out very well and the water is good. All their marketing materials explain their system well. We may have put more into the water purification filtration than we probably needed to, but the house has an iron-manganese filter on, which it definitely needed.
We got the salt-free water conditioner and I’ve got a UV light beyond all that yet to kill germs. So, we have no qualms at all drinking tap water. I wouldn’t do that in the place that I’ve lived in the previous 40 years. The customer service was outstanding. They were responsive, informative and called back on several occasions. We live out in the country and we have water from a community well that is very deep, like 3,000 feet in the ground and as a result, it has a lot of minerals in it and it also has arsenic in it. And we haven’t been meeting the federal guidelines for the arsenic, so they warned us about it. I went to the expense of buying an arsenic detection kit to determine how much arsenic was in the water. I ran the test and we were way above the recommended allowance and so, we started using bottled water. My wife, every couple of weeks would get the gallon jugs and fill those up, and we would use those for drinking and cooking and for our pets. It was just really getting to be a pain, hauling those jugs of water back-and-forth.
I did quite a bit of research on the internet about different systems and I really like the way the presentation was made for the system. The Pelican rep explained things in detail for the questions that I had. It was the best way to go. I had a couple of snags in the beginning and I called. They helped me right out and got everything squared away for me. Installation was pretty easy. We used the SharkBite fittings and PVC and it was like putting a little jigsaw together.
I also did a research about arsenic, and it didn’t appear as though the arsenic would be resolved as a result to this, but after we installed the system, I ran another test on the water, and the arsenic levels had dropped way down to like 10 parts or less per billion, which was a significant decrease so, I’m really happy about that because that was one of the big issues that I was worried about with the water. And so now, we don’t buy bottled water anymore. We just drink it right out of tap without any kind of issues like that. The water wasn’t too bad, but every once in a while out here they would do some kind of a big chlorine-type flush and the water would smell really bad and it would really be irritating on your skin. Now it’s great.

When I had a question, I just called and their reps were always extremely helpful and accommodating. However, it was very difficult to find someone who could install it. And even though they said you could do it yourself, you really need a professional. And even some professionals were stumped with it, because it’s a new system and it’s a little complicated. They said that any plumber should be able to do it. So, that was a little bit of a problem. And it did cost me a lot. It could be just that the plumber was very expensive, but it took him hours to install. He even had to come back to adjust it because it wasn’t working right, which means it’s not as easy as they say.
The water is not as soft as it is with my water softener, but it’s soft enough. It’s not a water softener, per se, where you’re gonna have this really silky feeling, but it does the job. You don’t have all that scaly buildup around your faucets. It’s not as clear as it was with a water softener, but it’s fine and I’m okay with a little less, but a healthier system. Recently, we had to call them because we couldn’t get the cartridge off to change out the filter. They walked us through on how to do it, but no matter how we tried to remove it, it would not budge. But we finally got it off. I would recommend it to a friend, but honestly, the industry still has a way to go. And they are really pricey. I wish they could be a little cheaper.

All that has gone away now, and I understand that the more I use the system, the more it will come out the pipes, which is a good thing. So, I'm delighted with it.
I did my own research, and the website is totally self-explanatory and diligence required. I called them one time when I confused Pelican from another company, and I realized it's the same company. But my concerns were addressed. The only thing that I would say about the website is that I would put more emphasis on the fact that it's not going to remove all minerals the way the salt water system does. It is stressed, but I don't think it's stressed enough. It allows some beneficial things to come through and doesn't block out everything which is good. Pelican was more expensive, but their website was able to educate me on each of the steps for each of the parts of the things that I had purchased, and that was important because I couldn't make any mistakes in what exactly I needed for my house based on my husband's health issues.
I did the installation myself, but when I had technical questions, I called and completely noted out with specific valve installation. They enjoyed my noting out on these little specifics and details because I was calling for specific questions, and then they gave me those answers. The only thing that wasn't communicated clearly was the issue of the water conditioner, and how it is still gonna have the hard water, not taking the hardness out of the water. If the hardness is still there, a UV filter won't work because the hardness and the particulates of the limestone particles that are in the water will cast a shadow if you use a UV light. And if there's a little piece of bacteria behind the little particle, it won't kill it. So, we put a chlorinator on the system before it goes into the Pelican part of my system. That way, any bacteria is killed. And then once it goes into my Pelican home system, it gets filtered in multi-stages.
We have such hard water, we got the RO filter at the sink about three years ago, and then we had to change the filter on it. We noted that was when the water started tasting bad, then we changed the filter on it for the first time. As soon as we changed the filter once it was at its capacity, the water tasted fine again, but it was expensive. We were looking at what we pay and the price of buying bottled water versus using an RO filter, and I don't know if we saved money that way. If I would have bought water for the last two years, it would be the same or maybe less than the cost of the RO filter plus having to change the RO filter's filter. For the other filters on the system, I don't buy new Pelican ones, but I take them out, wash them and put them back in.
I have a couple of pre-filters and then I have a carbon filter to remove the chlorine that I had used. And then, it goes into the water conditioner. I also needed a post-filter so I added it to catch anything that bubbled up out of the carbon filter and the water conditioner. I have a RO filter under my sink if we want the water without the hardness. But the hardness is still there, it just doesn't stick in the rest of the house.
Our home had no filtration system before, and when we had to pull the toilets to replace the little rings on the toilets, there was so much hard water. It was probably 35% caked on on the side. By putting Pelican's water conditioner, it loosened up all that limestone. It was like the pipes were getting cleaned because the build-up within the pipes and big chunks of stuff were coming out for a week. We knew that was gonna happen because that's what it said on the website to expect when you have this kind of limestone build-up, and we haven't had any problems.
I like to show off my system because I got 14 stages in the whole thing combined. I like to see and educate the people around here because we don't have any industry out here in the Texas Hill Country. I have recommended Pelican, but most people around here said the whole system is too expensive, and in San Antonio, there are some other companies that are offering the same sorts of steps in the system but at cheaper rates. It doesn't look as nice because they don't have nice stainless-steel cylinders, but a lot of people are looking simply at the price.

The dog stopped eating and he had calcium diarrhea. After $1,400 at the vet, they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. All the tests were fine. I bet it was something in the water so, I got one of those big cup things that you filter the water through but I was told to get a Pelican. My daughter has it and she said that it’s fantastic. I ordered it online and Pelican did a good job on the website. I got the filter on one outlet in the kitchen. It’s filtered and I don’t have to have this big hunky thing of water in the refrigerator. Pelican is about the same as the other filtration system, but it’s easier to use. I noticed though that the green light goes on when you’re running the water if it’s filtered and it will randomly flash even when you’re not using it. But my daughter’s does that also and this doesn’t bother me because it’s one of those things. It's just that nobody has caught that. I’m assuming it’s fine and it's most likely a sensor thing.

I moved West and you gotta put salt in the water and all this nonsense. So, I kept researching on what I was gonna do and I did my homework. I was gonna strip the water with the reverse osmosis or have it filtered. I looked at the Pelican, and it seemed like a better system because I don't want to strip the water of all the good stuff. I just wanted to get the bad stuff out and they did. The website was good and it helped me figure out what I want. The representative on the phone made it a simple choice to me and he closed it good. I got the water filter, the water softener and the electronic light thing that kills all the bad stuff. I was living with my aunt for five months before my house was built and she had a salt system. You couldn’t drink the water and when I was there, when I bathed and took a shower, my skin was very dry. So, when I came here and installed the system into my new house, I noticed that my skin is not as dry as well as my scalp.
I've got the system in the house for a few months and I'm happy with it. I found the support was good when I called up and they guarantee the system for life if you buy the carbon from them. It doesn't look ugly in the house too. When you go in the garage, they put that chrome container over. I care about the appearance inside the garage and that was nice. We all paid for it and that's probably included but it's a good system. Pelican wasn’t cheap but it was a fair price. Orlando, the rep, was a straight shooter. He told me to send it back if I didn’t like it. He was that sure that I was gonna like it and the system was so good that my cousin looked at it and he’s gonna get one too. I love Pelican Water. It’s awesome and it was everything the guy said and more.

We had a lot of calcium in our water. We’d never had a softener in here, so we decided to put one in. I researched the ones that were out there on the market and Pelican seemed to know what they were talking about. I started looking at what they had advertised when I was getting ready to buy, and for an old man, it was pretty easy for me to find what I was looking for. I got the one with a big filter for it and it seems to be working okay so far. We’ve noticed a big difference in our water here. It takes less shampoo and less shower gel.

I just moved from one town to another and found out that they had this kind of water system here. It’s hard water and it leaves spots on cars and windows. I heard about Pelican through my plumber and he said he had put in many Pelicans and that’s the number one system that he recommends to people. So, I went by his thinking. He ordered the filter and the two long tanks for me as well as a system that purifies the water. I moved in the house in August and by September, he had it in for me.
When I got the Pelican, I thought it would take the taste of the hard water away but I still have spots on the dishes and there’s a taste of hard water. I’ve thought of having the plumber back out who put it in to make sure it’s functioning correctly, but I haven’t done that. I was hoping that there would be a better result, but there isn’t. My car was getting all spotted up sitting out in front. I park my car right in the middle of the driveway because my garage is still full of stuff and so that when the water comes on, it doesn’t splash some on my car. I’m trying to keep it away from the water system as much as I can.

My son purchased a Pelican water system before we did, and he was very pleased with it. We had the salt ones before, and they were such a pain in the neck that we did not wanna go that way. We had a lot of spotting from the hardness of the water. The rep knew exactly what we were looking for as far as the fact that we knew it wasn’t going to be exactly the same as the salt system. But it was addressing what we were looking for. We got the filter with the two tanks in the garage. The water is more pleasant-tasting now because the chlorine is gone. We had excessive chlorine, and eliminating that is one of the biggest improvements that we noticed. Also the fact that we have less buildup of the water spotting. We changed out our filter for the first time about a month or so ago, and we ordered the four-pack, and it came the very next day. So far, everything’s good.

We had a new home and I was looking for something that would be a whole house filter. I had used a carbon filter for a long time and I wanted a reverse osmosis at the sink. So, since Pelican offered that, and because it offered the minerals that add back at the end through the reverse osmosis I chose it. I looked to see what the system offered as far as the whole house system first, and it seemed like I did not have to change filters really often. They lasted a period of time, so that was good. It was also recommended by people that had used it before.
I've been changing my filters myself, and that worked out fine. But I had to get a new tank for the reverse osmosis because it failed. It seemed like I wasn’t getting enough pressure on reverse osmosis system. But after I replaced the tank, that seemed to correct the problem. So, I felt like they dealt with my issue when I got it fixed and it wasn’t that hard. The biggest difference I noticed having the system was in the icemaker. My ice cubes looked clearer, and so that comes from the reverse osmosis as well. As far as comparison in showers and things like that, I had other filters on my showers before, but it's really nice to be able to not have that extra hooked on your showerhead. So, I do notice that I feel like I'm getting a whole house filtered water and not have to have extra filters to change on each showerhead. I have recommended Pelican. My daughter’s family in Oklahoma has the whole house system, and they like it too.

I am a licensed plumber and I wanted the salt-less water softener technology. Pelican's sales consultant was fine and he did his job, but he was too much of a salesman for me. I don’t like those people that always try to upsell or plus sell, and he does it so natural, I don’t even think he realizes he does it. If I were a homeowner, I would imagine the things he was doing would have been perfect. The rep that I spoke with over the phone, on the other hand, was very good. He went above and beyond. They had the hurricane down there, and he spoke to me from his home. He got his office number call recorded over to his home because of the hurricane, and he was still able to help me out and keep my order attended. The website was fine and it helped me pick out what I thought I wanted. I purchased the smaller of the combi unit with the water softener and filtration combo.
My outside faucets are not hooked up to the filtration system and when I had to fill up a bucket the other day, I could smell all the chlorine in the water that I am not drinking now. I don’t smell chlorine inside the house, so I know that that filtration system is pulling out a lot of stuff that I don’t like. My water tastes a lot better now. I can drink my water and I don’t need bottled water anymore.

Plus, we also had a company here that tried to sell us a filtration-type system for too much money. We went with Pelican and it was troublesome finding someone who was qualified to install it in Albuquerque. The local person that we got that did the installation had never done a Pelican before. There were instructions that came with the softener which was adequate for him. He installed it as well as he could, given the fact that he had the piping was from the previous water softener.
Sometimes, we wake up about 4 o’clock in the morning hearing this bonk, bonk, bonk, bonk sound. And when I’ve gone out, it’s clear that the Pelican itself isn’t doing it. But when I put my hand on the filter container, I can feel the vibration from that, but it doesn’t seem like that’s coming from the Pelican. We suspect it’s something back there. But we never had that sound occur with the old water softener system.

We had more chlorine in our water as well as blackness and whiteness in our shower. We also had dryness on our bodies because of the water. We got a Pelican PSE2000 water system as well as an RO and UV. The rep was very helpful. He pulled out the records from my subdivision and was able to help me select the proper products.
At one point though, I was frustrated during the installation. Getting someone to install the system was very difficult. I’m staying in Illinois, so it’s possibly because of the state. There were just two recommended Pelican installers that I got referenced to from the salesperson. If I call any other plumbers they don't really know about the system and I don't want to risk the system with someone who doesn't know about it. There were more dealers rather than actual installers. I followed up with one of them and he did a good job in the end. Even so, it took me almost one and a half months to get it installed after I bought the system. That was a pain point as I have spent almost four grand on the system and it was sitting in my home for one and a half months.
Still, since getting our Pelican, water quality has improved and we don't see all the earlier issues of having blackness around the shower much anymore. Even the dryness on the skin after taking a bath has been reduced much. If Pelican could include a guaranteed installation package rather than after selling, depending on the customer, a lot of people would start taking their system. Once it is installed, everything is good.

We had a house built here and we have a lot of iron in our water. Depending on where you are, you can also get sulfur. And we have septic tanks here that most of the new contractors put steel instead of plastic.
I wanted a filter that was salt-less. All the water places here, they use salt and I was not gonna use salt so I went with Pelican. We had another house where the softener was salt-based and if you didn’t have it set right, or if you had a power outage, sometimes it wouldn’t set correctly and then you have slimy water. It was just more of a hassle to keep it set nice. And salt’s not good for septic systems. Plus, you couldn’t water your plants. Your plants would die.
I contacted Pelican's customer service and spoke to Jeff. He took care of us. We got the carbon filter, the chemical shooter, and the water softener. And it obviously has a big filter there. So, we immediately began to research and try to find ways to improve the water quality in our home. Pelican stood out above the others, so we went with them. Our consultant, Mike, was really good. He was very knowledgeable and informative. He was also very patient with explaining the benefits of purchasing a Pelican as opposed to some of the other types of system. I'm a contractor and that is still kinda confusing to me. There are so many different aspects that you don’t understand when it comes to water systems because there are so many different softeners, purifiers, and triple osmosis systems. And it was a bit overwhelming. But Mike was very meticulous in explaining and making a recommendation based on our situation.
The installation also went really well. I did it myself and that was a piece of cake. It was a very smooth installation and I did it in a couple of hours. Also, Mike was very good at explaining what to expect in the packaging and he was very good at preparing me on what to look for. But I had an issue with a part and I had to get another part shipped out. It turned out that there was a coupling that you use to attach your copper pipe from your home to the actual tank. Other than that, I was experiencing a very small and slow leak, so I would come into the garage and I’d see a puddle of water. When I would put one of the rubber O-rings on and I would screw it in, it was in a bind, so it wasn’t able to make that seal proper.
In the end, they shipped me another O-ring and as I shut my water off and I pulled it off, I saw that it was in a bind. I just put some lubricant on it then I was able to put it back on it. It engaged properly and created that seal to stop the leak. So, I would recommend if Pelican could find a way to pre-lube those O-rings. If they pre-lube them, that’ll alleviate the issue I had. But it could be an isolated event. Still, it was a headache to try to figure out what it was. But once I figured that out and I got that, it was a three-minute fix and it completed fixed it. In fact, I never even got a chance to put on the new part because I was able to rectify it by addressing it on the O-part. But Pelican was very good at sending the part out and trying to help me resolve the issue.

I parked in front of Pelican Water Systems’ store and knew about them. I had a water well so I researched about water treatment systems. I was concerned about the quality of the water and some potential bacteria. I spoke to a guy from Pelican in the beginning and then, I received some information. I checked everything online and compared it with Culligan, and another such as the cost per provider. In the end, I decided to use Pelican because the softener was without salt and I was looking for that. I'm not sure if it's 100% effective especially because the hardness of this water is particular.
I purchased all the complete system for a house on four to six rooms plus UV. I got the sediment filter, carbon filter, dust filter and UV filter. I installed the system myself and it was easy for me because I am an engineer. I designed all the pipelines and I put everything. The well had bugs located in between the system and both the isometric gauge and cylinder but now, everything is fine and it's working from when I installed it. At this moment, I feel very satisfied with Pelican.

We live up here in Paradise, California where the Northern California wildfire took like probably 90% of our town. So, our water was affected. Moving back into my house, I wanted to put the Pelican water system in just for protection. The sales reps were absolutely very pleasant and thorough. I had great success with them. They were very easy to do business with and it was very quick. And I have passed their name onto quite a few people up here because I know Culligan is charging like $3,700, where this is much cheaper route to go.

There was a lot of scale buildup in our water. We had a salt softener at our other house. But we're getting older and we didn't wanna have to do that. Our plumber told us about Pelican and we got their salt-free softener. We've had the system for four months now and so far, we're 70% satisfied with it. It didn’t remove all the scale. I read it and I understand that it’s supposed to not take the calcium out. At some point, the white scale that builds up is supposed to be reduced to nothing. That was supposed to take 30 to 90 days. But we're passed the 90 days and I’m still having some residue left.
I brought this issue up with Pelican. They emailed me saying that I have to realize that the system doesn’t remove the residue to which I said I understood that but it’s supposed to break down to the point that it doesn’t leave a scale but I was still having it. The one who responded back apologized to hear that. I’m passed my warranty time but I didn’t wanna have to carry salt. I was thinking of getting a better filter. Our plumber did say that we could go one level higher where it would take out even more of the crud that comes through the water. When it’s time to change that, which probably won’t be too much longer because you’re supposed to do it every six to seven months, I might talk to Pelican about getting a better filter.

I make my own water filtering system out of activated charcoal and five-gallon buckets, and valves that I’ve had to put together myself because nobody else makes them. And then a friend of mine said that he found one and that’s the Pelican, that you hook to your whole water system. So then, when I take a bath or a shower or turn on the faucet, then it’s all clean water. It’s a great idea.
The only problem I have with the Pelican Water system is there’s a little bit of plastic valve that goes on that you screw a garden hose to so that you can filter the system through. It should come with two of them because like if I had two of them, I could hook two garden hoses to it and then I can dispel the water anyway I wanted to. The way I had to do it is a friend of mine had one, so I borrowed his and I could dispel it. But at first, it was making a mess because I couldn’t just go and do it outside and then leave it outside like they recommend. I would be 100% happy if they would have two of those little valve things for the hose. I looked on the website to try to buy another little valve and I couldn’t find it. I looked at the stores and they didn’t have it for that size. I understand the thing cost a dollar, but I would’ve paid ten bucks for that little valve. Other than that, the whole system is great. I am super happy with it.

The water in our house in Parker, Colorado had a bad odor and just wasn't right. We also had a chlorine issue that we wanted to clear up. My wife has an allergy to chlorine which we found out about when we moved into the city. We started using a water filter from another company that cleaned up the water smell. We then bought a house in Colorado Springs and right off the bat, we said that we would not use that brand. I was looking for a water filter system for the whole house and I came across Pelican. I looked at the videos online on the Pelican system as well as some of the other programs. And the guy was very clear as to how the Pelican system worked and I was very much impressed.
I got the smaller whole-house system from Pelican. It was one to three bathrooms. The water tastes great with it and there's nothing in the water floating. And my wife's allergy to chlorine is nonexistent. I like the system. It's engineered very well and they've simplified it to where anyone could operate that system. I've recommended it to my neighbor. He was impressed with it and how it hooks up to the water system. Also, the price was something that interested him because he had looked at water systems before and they were thousands of dollars, but not with Pelican.

We moved and our water was municipal. I do not like chlorine, chloramine or any of that. So I was looking for something to put under the sink to filter everything out. The experience with the sales consultant from Pelican was great and the website was easy to navigate. But I was looking for specific information and the person I dealt with said that they had just sent stuff out for testing and that I would be able to see the results online a week later. I never found that. I looked pretty briefly but I already purchased it so it didn't really matter.
My husband installed the product himself and it was pretty easy. The system was a three-stage under the sink and the only thing I wish was different is to have a flow meter available because it said that it's good for 1,500 gallons and I have no idea when I hit that. We travel a lot so it's not like I could just say it would be six months. 1,500 gallons before switching out the filter is the longest capacity I came across and I was very appreciative about that because I forget switching stuff over. So I definitely enjoy that. But at the same time, I have no idea, outside of taste, when to swap it. I did buy an aftermarket flow meter but it wasn't compatible so I kinda gave up. Nonetheless, I've already made recommendations about Pelican.

So it was a great experience. He was a really great guy. He was just perfect. I was very informed and I kinda left the conversation feeling it was a good purchase. There was no buyer’s remorse. The system has two tanks and a filter so it’s a filtration/hard water treatment system. Everything was delivered to my house and then I hired a plumber to install it. My water tastes amazing now. I knew I wanted a filtration system and looked at the different filtration systems and Pelican seemed to have what I was looking for. We've had our system up and running this June. So far, so good. I'm still very in the dark about how to upgrade it or what to look for. And I do water testing, but it feels that there are a lot of particles in the water.
I called Pelican about a couple of challenges with what has been shipped to me. And the plumber was here to install it, and we had questions, and I got a hold of a gentleman there at Pelican. After I sent them some pictures of what have been shipped and what they said they had shipped and what actually was shipped were not coordinated, they made some changes and sent me something that I needed.
Their website is easy to use. It's just getting more informed about the process and what really to look for, and I wish in times I had been, I would have had someone from Pelican install the system because there were questions. And I still have some concerns as to whether or not it's working the way it should be working, but we're watching it. But the system is good. And the company was readily available to me when I called to make corrections on the first shipment. They seemed eager to help.

I live in a brand new neighborhood, and we all are dealing with hard water and a lot of scaling coming in through our showerhead. I wanted to get three different estimates on a system to soften my water. I went to Culligan, and I went to another one, and the third one was Pelican. I talked primarily over the phone with Bob from Pelican to get me the information that I needed, and to tell me a little bit about the program. I like the fact that their system was salt-free.
They explained how they were better than the others because of the salt-free aspect. And I had had quite an experience. I felt like I had two clowns in my house when the Culligan people came in, and it was like they put on a show. But it was almost funny and their cost was twice what Pelican was gonna offer for me. So I went with Pelican and got the 1800 with the two cylinders and the smaller with the blue large particle filter that needs to be changed more often.
Dealing with their people has been a little bit more challenging. The installer fellow that came was not a plumber. He explained to me that he was a construction worker, but he was trained in how to do the installation. I talked to the bosses over there, and they said that it was perfectly okay that he wasn’t a plumber because the installation doesn’t require a plumber, and that I can put it in myself. So, he did the work, but he chose a really rainy day. He had a lot of trouble getting it put in. In fact, he had to come back and correct some things, and he lives down south and closer to South Florida. He had a long drive to come and take care of it. But he fixed it.
There is still one more thing that I need to get corrected, which is that he did away with the shutoff valve to the house, and I’m gonna have to put a new one on there. I have not been able to get in touch with the installer or the company. I have left messages and I haven’t been able to get in touch with them. Other than that, the product is simple and it is a unique system. Since we got it installed, the water does not have a funny odor to it, and it has a great taste. It’s not slimy, and you could tell it’s softer than it was. Pelican's water system is something that everyone should consider when they are looking to improve the quality of their water. With it, I can drink it right from the faucet, which most people can’t do anymore. It’s delicious.

There's a funny smell coming out of the faucets, and has a odor and a taste that I do not care for. And then they flush it out of the system after about three weeks. Even though we got filtered water in our refrigerator, it doesn't take out all the stuff. My plumber guy recommended Pelican and one or two other brands as a company to look into as far as researching. Once I started doing my research, I personally felt comfortable with the Pelican brand and decided to go ahead and choose them.
I bought the Pelican system online but the very next day, they put some kind of sale on and it come out about $100 cheaper had I purchased on that day. I called the main number and some guy picked up. We kinda went back and forth for a little bit, and he tried to tell me that it comes up the same. But I told him it doesn't and he could do the math. He listened to me, and about the third time around, he said that I was right and that it would have been a better deal. So he honored the discount. At that time, my order hadn't even been fully placed yet. I could have canceled it at that time. So the rep was showing more of an interest in making me a new customer than being a jerk about it.
My licensed plumber came out and installed the system. The water is definitely softer. It seems all better in the shower now because the skin and the hair does feel cleaner. It's really convenient to turn on any faucet in your house and not have to worry about what the water is coming out. You don't have to run to your fridge to pour quality water into a pot or a pan for cooking. You can just turn it on at the kitchen sink and not worry about it. We're enjoying uninterrupted quality water service for the first time in our life. We're happy we did it. We've already recommended Pelican to friends and family.

We purchased the Pelican PSE2000 Whole House Filter-Softener system in February 2014. In January 2019 (after 4 years) we had to replace the whole system. Our appliances began to fail and our faucets were getting damaged from the hard water. The PSE2000 system did not soften our hard water. I would be cautious about spending approximately $2,700 for a system that does not soften the water. Once we replaced the system with a different brand, our hard water scaling and hard water issues disappeared.

Pelican PSF-1W 3 stage premium shower filter w. 5 ft. wand - Love this product. Had a bad experience with the Aquasauna shower filter leaking. The Pelican shower filter was leak proof. I liked the clear instructions that came with the Pelican. It was nice feature that Pelican provided teflon tape to prevent leaking. I really appreciate the simple filter change setup (much more difficult with the Aquasauna). My hair is softer after showering with the Pelican. My itchy skin, because of dry winter conditions, has also improved. Great purchase!

We had horrible water and so we began researching water treatment systems online. We found Pelican and purchased a pre-filter carbon system, a water softener, and a UV Light from them. After installing those myself, our water has tasted better.

I had concerns about the water and what was in it, and what shouldn't be in it. I wanted to filter the water and get as much of the chlorine out of it as I could. I called Pelican Water Systems and I liked the response of their personnel. I also liked the product and the way it was designed. I ended up purchasing the shower filter system and the under the sink drinking water filter system. I've called them about one issue and spoke with Mike. He was very responsive. He even rectified the problem immediately. So far, I’ve been very satisfied with all of my dealings with Pelican. Their customer service reps are very good, and for that reason, I have chosen to stay with them. Also, I would recommend them.

We have PFAS in our area so I looked into having a water system. The sales consultant did an excellent job answering the particulars to all my questions that were necessary for me to make a decision in purchasing. I got the country well system that fills 1800. I got the information, I saw the unit and I had my company install. We do different things but Pelican installed it and did the job that was necessary. However, I also installed the softener system and being a septic system, I did not wanna use salt. I noticed that there was a build-up on the faucets.
I wasn't expecting 100% removal but I was a little disappointed in the removal of build-up for the faucets. I'm not trying to point any fingers and saying that Pelican misrepresented their product but I was under the impression that it would do a better job in removing the different elements in the system. I don't think it is but overall, I'm satisfied with it. I would recommend the Pelican system and the people who I dealt with. They were polite and resourceful. Their demeanor was something that I would expect to be professional as a business.

I had Culligan and I wasn't happy with them. Then, I had one that came from Lowe's and with leaks and all sorts of problems with water on the lawn, I wasn't satisfied with them either. When I saw Pelican's ad, I said I would give them a call and what they led me to is to go to the online to look at the products they had. I saw one I thought was going to be better, but it wasn't. It had to do with water softening and I have had enough of that. Once that was straightened out, we had no problem at all. I got a system that takes out the chlorine and the lead. We made an arrangement and the technician came out and put the new system in. We haven't had a problem since.
You have to be patient with the service because their service people are in different areas. And if they're far from your home, you have to wait and set up an appointment where the person can get there. That was the only problem we had. They recommended three different technicians and I was trying to get the one closest to me but I didn't get a response from that. I went down the list and I finally got a guy who came out. We had to set up an appointment because he was kinda far away and he had other work to do in the area.
He was very polite when he came out and he explained everything, including the pluses and minuses of the system and things that I would have to do. Like for my washing machine, I would have to make smaller loads because this particular system only does five gallons a minute. And the washing machine takes a whole bunch of water. What I've been doing to work that problem out is doing smaller machines so that the filtration system can be effective.

I started looking for a filter on the internet based on water quality, taste and different things. I asked Pelican Water Systems if they had a product that would work for all the different chemicals and things that were in the water that would take care of it. There's a high concentration of chlorine in my water and they were adding fluoride. I know fluoride did quite a few things but I was trying to eliminate as much of it as I could. I asked a bunch of questions and Pelican recommended the product. Their knowledge about it was top-notch. I got the reverse osmosis and under sink unit. It has little tap which comes out just so you can fill containers. I did the installation and being an older guy, there was a struggle to do things way up under the sink. It was hard to get in there but I got it done.
I have noticed that the water quality has been good but it doesn't take long to taper off. The filter is expensive as well. I could tell the difference in the taste almost within half the time that they say that it would change. They said 18 months but for about six to nine months, the taste started to change. I've told Pelican about it but the alternative is more expensive. For now, I'm just doing what I can. With the RO system there, there's an acidic side that drains and has an air gap in the faucet. When you tie it into the drain and if you have a disposal connected to the drain, that disposal clogs up the end of that acid drain line, then the water runs out on the counter or the sink top. I called the tech department and they asked if there was any way to put it through a non-disposal side. I don't have one of those. So, I told them what my experience was and they were grateful for the update.
As soon as you run the disposal, it starts to clog up the end of the pipe because the pressure's coming out going down the drain. Now, I got water running out on the top of the sink or I have to clean the pipe all the time. It's not really a win situation. If they had an application where it could tie into a vertical upstream above and if I could tie it in vertically, then that would work a lot better. Nevertheless, Pelican's fine. They're a lot better than some of the other water filter things that I experienced which were more expensive and less effective.

I had a water filter inside the refrigerator that I was using before that brings filtered water and ice through the door. All of a sudden, that filter burst wide open and put water all over my kitchen. I got a Pelican product thereafter because it has a little light on it that told me when it needed replacement. I didn't see any other company with products that have that feature. When I got the system at first, I used it on top of the counter for a while until I got a drill to drill through a standstill sink. I mounted it underneath about a week later. Though I haven't noticed any difference with my water since then, having the Pelican system has been more convenient because it's underneath my sink.

I had a plumber install a new faucet in my kitchen sink. I saw the hard water buildup on the bottom of the faucet and I decided that I needed to get some kind of softener for the house. I went online and Pelican Water Systems was the best so I went for them. I told the rep that I had hard water scales buildup. He was very informative and he told me that it would even help some of the pipes that were in the house clear up over time. You don’t have to flush it with the salt or whatever electric. You also don’t have to flush it at night although I am getting ready to change the sediment filter. I felt the difference right away since having the system installed and I feel good about the investment.
I have a little chap on the front of the refrigerator for water and I used to get white buildup in the cup down below. It doesn’t do that anymore. The filter last longer in the refrigerator. Once the system was in, it has not been a problem. It has helped my humidifier as well. I have an osmosis system in front of my humidifier to help that run a little cleaner. I’ve got three filters on the osmosis system that probably are not working as hard as they did before the Pelican system was put in. I'm very happy with it.

We had 85% damage done in our home due to the hurricane. It tore up our well house where we had the water softeners and the pumps. It turned everything upside down and broke it loose. It was a complete disaster. So, I started looking for a new water treatment unit. I was told that the Pelican unit is good in taking rust out of the water and making the water softer. The sales rep advised me to think about it and call him back if I was interested. I called him back after a few days and told him I was interested in their unit. He asked if I had a salt unit and I said yes. I only had acquired a salt unit and he told me that as long as I had a salt unit, the Pelican unit would work well.
My wife and I installed the unit. We set up the filter, backwashed it, and hooked it up. So far, the unit has worked great and it's some of the best water that we've ever had. There's no rust in the water and the commodes stay pretty and white. It's a good unit to go with. It's one of the best units that I got my hands on because it is not electric but just plugged into the line. I'm very satisfied and I would recommend Pelican. As a matter of fact, I told my neighbor about our Pelican water treatment unit because he was looking for one too.

Pelican Water Systems seemed to have good prices and support. So, I ended up purchasing a single carbon tank from them. I installed the unit myself and the experience was pretty cut-and-dry. Anybody who has basic plumbing knowledge can do it. I have the tank for five years now and the only thing I hate about it is that sometimes, it shoots the carbon up into the toilet tank. It seems like when you get a big surge of water, some of that carbon will escape out of that filter and it will end up in the water line. Also, over the five years that I've had the tank, I had to shut it down for a couple of days because I had to replace the carbon bed. During that time, I noticed a chlorine taste in the water but it was something that I have forgotten about for the last five years. I would recommend Pelican Water Systems.

The house that we moved into has three tankless hot water heaters and when we started using the showers, we noticed the deposits in the faucets. Our water comes from wells in the neighborhood and with a high amount of calcium, we realized our faucets would get clogged so we started researching and found Pelican. The prices looked reasonable so I ordered the system. The first one I ordered was a no salt unit. I have that put in but it wasn’t helping. Pelican's reps were very nice and said they'll exchange it. I shipped that unit back and they sent me another system which uses salt, and I’ve had it ever since. It works great and I’ve been very satisfied since I got it.

I bought a water filter from Pelican for my shower two years. I bought it online. I clicked "Buy" and it came to my doorstep. This is my second replacement filter. It takes about 30 seconds to take the filter off and put another one back on. I love it. It keeps my shower a lot cleaner. I also like showering in filtered water. It’s very, very nice. I don’t know if I could shower in hard water anymore.

I used to have the water filtering system with the salt but it was getting old and their rep used to come every year and charge me $99. I read about Pelican and when they showed up with the showroom on wheel, I got convinced that it was a good product to buy. I changed a filter already one time, and it seems to be working fine. There's a difference on the water.
However, I could feel my hands dry already and I'm wondering if this is how the water should be. I also noticed that when I take a shower, the water sometimes feels slippery or slimy. I spent a lot of money so a free yearly test for quality control would be appropriate just to check and see if I'm drinking the right stuff. Nevertheless, I would still recommend them even though my previous provider said Pelican wasn't good.

Pelican Water PSF-1W-C1 Premium Shower Filter Combo - Did not have too much problems installing this, it took two times installing the filter body as I was afraid of tightening it too much. Basically you have to use common sense and use Teflon tape provided with the kit, only tools I used was a pair of good pliers and a scissors to cut the Teflon tape, (Sharp Ones) and a Cresent Wrench, Installation went Smoothly. Took a shower after installing and love that the Chlorine is gone along with a good bunch of the Fluoride, and other heavy metals present. Did not have the itches from too much Chlorine, have to say there is pretty good water her In parts of Alaska, just they add too many Chems.

Thank you for the response, we are so pleased you like your Pelican shower filter. We are so pleased to hear that your water quality is much better and the chlorine is gone. Excess chlorine in city water is an increasing problem we help address every day.
