I have the whole house PC600 water filter system, the system is respectable, the customer service is beyond horrific, they don't answer the phones, and don't return phone calls or email, horrible company and would not recommend them period.

When it was just Pelican Water, service and support was great! Once Pentaire took them over, it was obvious that it was just to eliminate competition. There is NO ONE to help Pelican customers who purchased equipment prior to the take over and they really do a horrible job of sending you away to a different. Inner where no one answers the phones. The website eliminates all reference to the Pelican systems so finding the correct replacement parts is impossible unless you’re able to find someone at a retail location that is familiar with the product. Not a good look for this company. For anyone shopping, I’d suggest finding a better company that cares about all of its clients, past and future.

All I can say is when I purchased my home in 2020 I bought a water filtration system by Pelican Water that cost me $7k! The Bleach injection pump broke and I called Pelican to find that they have gone out of business, but taken over by PENTAIR! Their customer service told me “you’re on your own!” Their exact words! I would think twice about doing business with them. I also heard that the owner of Pelican now owns another company (H2O) to rip people off and then fly out of the face of the world. To make a long story short no one locally works on this type of filtration which is basically for city water and not wells! Now I must change the whole system due to their carelessness and horrible customer service! DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

My house was new when I moved in 4 years ago. I just replaced the pop-up kit in one of my sinks because the ball rod eroded. I asked the plumber why this happened, and he said it was because the water in Las Vegas is very hard thus, the rod eroded from mineral deposits. I had installed the Pelican 10 GPM Whole House NaturSoft Water Softener Alternative System April 2021 as a solution to the hard water problem, but it does not seem to be working. I guess I will have to get a different type of water softener installed.

Installed a $4000 water filtration system a couple years ago. Sales guy sold the heck out of the system and how great their support was. Time to service the tanks and guess what? They only sell units and do not service them. I was told to "call a Plumber". Do not use this company for your filtration needs as they do not service what they sell.

We bought this shower filter and in less than a week it was broken. On top of offering a crap product, they offered zero return options other than an exchange or us paying for UPS to ship it cross country, $23 dollars later. Nobody needs an exchange on a product that can't last 7 days. Terrible company.

Water softener install June 2021 in Southern Arizona. So far the product is working, hard water is a thing of the past. Shower, faucets, and toilets are a lot easier to keep clean. Salt last around 2.5 months. The only issue I have is the company sells you the unit but does not see how you're doing after the sale. I would recommend this product.

I purchased 'Pelican PSE1800 Premium Whole House Filter-Softener 1-3 Bathroom (PSE1800)' on 11/27/2020, got it installed with a certified plumber. Initially it was looking like I had a great product, but eventually it turned out to be waste of money. I contacted Pelican water experts before buying this product, clearly explained my requirement. But, I was provided with wrong choice of the product and now it's totally a waste of money for me. I purchased whole-house filtration system, but it didn't help remove the calcification that we have in the water. That was the need to install the filtration system, but it did NOT solve the purpose.
More than that, the so called experts misguided me to buy a wrong product. Now they say, you have to get another one and we don't know what conversation you had previously. This is absolute unprofessional behavior from the team, which I learnt after spending close to 3K. A hard & costly lesson learnt with Pelican water filters....hope this helps other clients to make a right decision. Thanks!

I have had a two tank Pelican water filtration and conditioner for approximately three years. I live in southern Arizona where the water is very hard. The Pelican system cost about $2,000 and $600 to install. The system replaced a GE salt based softener that worked very well but died after four years. I chose the Pelican system as a way to avoid carrying bags of salt. Sales process went well. However, after a couple months with the new system, I have regretted ever making the purchase. Our mineral deposit problems have never been worse. We are constantly needing to chip away deposits on faucets, drains, nozzles, and can never leave water standing on anything.
We need to use a razor blade on the inside of toilets to attempt to remove mineral deposits. It’s a terrible problem…much worse than when we had a salt based system. I have thought about going back to a regular water softener, but after spending some $2600 I feel I’m stuck. The explanation I received that the Pelican makes removal of mineral deposits much easier because of the chemistry is just not true. Before Pelican, I never had mineral deposits. I am a very unsatisfied user.

I bought the first Pelican system (water softener alternative) a couple of years ago and it works great!!! It replaced a Culligan system that had died. The Pelican has worked so good that I decided, with this review, to use the catch phrase as...never looked back, and I haven't!!! It has worked flawlessly, but, it does NOT truly soften the water with that slippery feeling after you shower and can't get it off!! BUT, it dries nicer and you feel really refreshed!
This last year I added the Pelican Whole home filtration system and the house has never had such great tasting water... Buy their products with confidence, HOWEVER, BE AWARE THAT THE COST OF INSTALLING THESE DEVICES WILL COST YOU MORE THAN THE PRODUCT COST THEMSELVES. I tried getting a plumber to install these devices here in Phoenix and it cost me up the wazoo...

We needed a filtration system for our well. The one we had used a resin filter and a salt-based water softener. We did not like the subtle salt tasting water and we discovered Pelican's advertising offering a saltless system that will give you drinking water that tastes better than bottled water. This is NOT true, and you get to find that out after you have spent several thousand dollars.
Pelican came to our house, tested the water and suggested a $5k plus system. After installation, the water tasted OK, but was brown colored. They later said that we have tannins, therefore we need a tannin removing system that uses salt. Pelican provided that at no extra cost, hence my two stars. We now have the same crappy salty taste that no one likes, but with an additional difference; the maintenance routine for the old system only required adding salt. The new Pelican system not only requires salt, but also requires adding chlorine almost every week, changing the sediment filter every 2-3 months, and replacement of very expensive parts on the chlorine mixing system. In addition, the beautiful, chromed tanks will also need to be changed in a few years. Please don’t let them fool you.

Hello Nelson,
Thank you for your feedback. According to our notes you were sold a system to deal with your iron. You did not purchase a softener at all. However it was determined later that the iron was masking a bigger issue in your water, tannins. To remove Tannins your only option is a salt based system. That system alone shouldn't be used when you have iron as well, thus why you have chlorine and a salt system to treat your water. Your initial water test also did not show tannins. This can happen where iron masks the tannins in the water.
We also show that you were not charged for the additional equipment you needed to resolve your water concerns.
We are sorry that your water requires so much equipment to treat it but that is what is required to give you clean water. Salt free works for many customers, but there are always situations where it doesn't, just like any water system.
The chrome jackets do not require replacement in a few years. As long as you wax them per the instructions. The resin and iron media inside both tanks are good for 10+ years when properly maintained, not every few years. Only the sediment filter and chlorine pump requires maintenance parts 2-4 times a year.
We understand that you wanted salt free but your water conditions simply do not allow us to go salt free to solve those issues. If the iron or tannins isn't being removed with your current system we would be happy to have someone from tech support reach out and review your installation or you can schedule a service visit to your home.

Pelican Water has completely changed my mind on purchasing from them. We have spoken many times via email and calls. They went beyond and my issues have been taken care of every step of the way. Unfortunately we had to go a route of having a different system issued. But they are making that happen. I can't thank them enough for reaching out to me to get this resolved.

Very unhappy with this unit. I purchased the WF10 with Topcashback rewards program. Had (10%) off cashback. Item cost was 5400 minus the 12% sale that was going on. The system doesn't give 99% iron free in the unit as my bath water still looks slightly brownish. Not as bad as it did though. It also is still leaving scale on my tub. I have cleaned it off with rejuvenate a few times. I called in at one point on chlorinator issues. I switched it around like I was educated to do. I have the chlorinator locked all the way up and I go through 35 gallons every 4 days. My previous unit had chem-tech and it was like 15 gallons and would work for a whole month.
I would not recommend this unit or company due to all the issues. By the way they denied the 10% cashback as well. $477. Not a company I would recommend. If one person reads and decides not to purchase due to this. It's due to poor product and service. I will be posting this in other sites as well. I am very disappointed with the service.

The primary tank that was first shipped was leaking. It got damaged in shipping. I contacted Pelican and they asked me to try a couple of things, which didn't work. They then turned around and said they would ship a brand new one, which they did. There was no trouble and no hassle getting them to ship a new one. They got it out right away and I've not a problem since. Pelican is very reputable. They're very easy to deal with and very happy to provide any information that one wants to request. I replaced a caustic system that was 20 years old with the one I bought from Pelican Water. I did the installation myself and it was pretty simple. Now, my water is is back to 6.5 to 7 pH. But I had some challenges during my purchase as Pelican's reps did not know how to answer a phone. I couldn't get ahold of anybody, but t that was the only downfall. I like the type of unit that I got because I don’t need wire, electrical metering pumps, and flow meters with it. It's a dosimeter and that’s why I went with it.

A friend of mine built a house in Florida and recommended Pelican. He told me there was a promotion going on. Unfortunately, I was closing by the end of the year last year and I didn't want to miss the promotion, I ordered the system online. My friend got a pretty good deal. He got it installed for the same price that he bought the system, but I didn’t get that so I was disappointed with that part of the process.
The salesperson came in and he expressed to me that it was a misfortune that I ordered it online 'cause if I would have bought it from him, he would have given me the installation for free. I ended up buying the UV light since I didn't get that online and he installed it with the system, but it ended up costing me about $900 more, so the total was $3,000 whereas it could have been going somewhere between $2,100 to $2,300.
But the water's great. I don't smell any chlorine in the water. There have been a couple of city problems where they had extra chlorination under on the city and it gives me peace of mind that I'm covered. However, they didn't follow the instructions for the installation. The way it's depicted on the forms that come in with the system, it says that the pre-filter, the whole house water filter has to be installed before the carbon bed. They did it after the carbon bed and before the UV. My concern is that if there's anything that comes in through the city water supply, it's going to get filtered behind the carbon bed and the media filter, not before.

Pelican gave me a good price on their water treatment system. Their equipment is good, it's been holding up. I put this system in the summer of 2017 and I have not had any problem with it. Pelican Water's prices are very competitive. I needed some filter cartridges and then the reverse osmosis cartridge. I put the order in and it came pretty quickly. I had a local plumber install them. When I spoke to the very first gentleman from Pelican, he was very helpful, very customer-friendly, and customer-oriented. When I called them back when I had questions or issues, even though I got a different person, they were also very helpful and very customer-oriented. I had done my research and my plumber also thought the Pelican Water brand would be a good choice. My plumber told me to call him back if I would have to change the filter because he said that it looked difficult to do.
The water quality has changed tremendously. For years, I've always bought bottled water. Now, I can drink the water and it doesn’t leave whatever that crap that it was leaving in the toilet. You’re cleaning the toilets every day or so and it doesn’t leave that buildup in the sink. The water just feels smoother. I was a little surprised when the system worked much much better than I expected. My neighbors who told me about Pelican said that they didn’t get 100% with their improvement in quality but mine had been 100%.

While our home was being built, I did a lot of research on softener systems. Pelican had good reviews on the internet and I liked the idea of having a combination system with a whole house filter and a sediment filter, and their prices were fair. I decided to give them a shot and I'm real happy with the system. I recommend Pelican to anybody that had ever asked about whole house filters. However, I want to make sure that it's working like it's supposed to. We had a RainSoft system and the people that installed that insisted to come out once a year to make sure it was working okay but one of the folks from Pelican told me that they typically don't do that.
The water doesn't feel soft like it used to so I'm a little bit concerned that something's amiss. There are all kinds of valves in our system. I want to make sure all the right valves are open and all the right ones are closed. I bought a test kit and it says our water is soft. I don't know what concentration they are shooting for on that system. It appears to be soft but I don't feel it in the shower.

With Pelican Water, I like the length of time that it kept okay before you had to change a filter. It also took out VOCs, and that was one of the main things I was looking at. I also checked the certification because a lot of people can say a lot of things, but that doesn't necessarily makes it true. Pelican was the only one that had the certification that it removed the VOC. That impressed me because I am not looking for their words but for their certification. I called them and I ordered it. We put the system up ourselves. My husband's not a handyman at all, so it took him a little bit. We had a little bit of a leaking but that was eventually solved, so it was okay.
The water that we have here is horrible. It has lots and lots of VOCs and bacteria. You can smell the sulfur smell which is a bacteria. When we put the units for each bathroom, and there is no smell. There is no sense of that VOC. I can tell the difference. I would suggest people to go ahead and buy the handheld from Pelican. It's a lot easier. I had a handheld, and we had to kind of discard that and just put it up as a regular shower. I will get a handheld from Pelican plus the filter. We tried to do it with my handheld and it didn't work.

I liked the simplicity of the hookup of the Pelican Water systems. My mother has a Watts system and she has all the different filters as well as all that other garbage under her sink. It's a nightmare to hook up and maintain. Just having a two-filter system is easier. The installation of my Pelican system also took me an hour tops and that's including getting a hole drilled in the sink because we already repurposed the hole where we had our soap dispenser. I had to get a hose on and drill a hole in the sink to put the faucet in.
But for the most part, the process was pretty straightforward especially with all the quick connects. It is one modular unit instead of having the tank and all the three filters with the fourth filter where each stage has its own filter and there are waterlines around everywhere. The big thing was with the initial setup. With the Watts system, you have to mix your own bleach and put it through the lines. But the Pelican system already comes pre-done, so you just run the water which is amazingly easy as well.
