Ultimately I’ve been very happy with my warranty as it’s been very well received and needed. My main issue is the lack of contractors in my area, which has caused having to have additional contractors come out for the same work. The other issue is ORHP really needs to look at the reviews contractors have online and kick ones with awful reviews to the curb. Because they’ve definitely demonstrated what the reviews indicate. While ORHP has paid for repairs, some of the repairs boggle my mind. In that they’d rather approve and $800 repair in a microwave that’s 15 years old instead of investigating the cost of a new one of only $225! Why they would even consider paying to repair one of that many years; especially, when they have to pay extra travel expenses for the distance really blows my mind.
Seriously if they want to waste that much money, I’d rather receive the $800 and go get my own appliance and have it installed. With that amount I could have also replaced my oven and microwave on $800. I have no clue how much they paid for someone to install my ceiling fans because they had someone from Birmingham install them which is an hour away. But I’m afraid to ask after the microwave issue.
My last issue is there’s NO excuse having to wait on the phone for an hour or hour and a 1/2! It’s not just the customer but also the repairman. Seriously my repairman installed 2 ceiling fans and he was on hold for the entirety of the repair! That’s completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Either hire more phone personnel or have a way to email you or put you in line for a return phone call. NOBODY should ever have to be in hold that long hence you call every time!. When it comes to paying according to their outlaid statements I say they’re dependable. Just the other issues I think are a waste of money or poor with customer service.

My previous warranty allowed maintenance for a fee and would call to schedule it. Old Republic offered something similar for $25, but you have to call and schedule it yourself by a certain date. When I tried to schedule it, I was told I would also need to pay a $110 service call fee. Since I have two units, that would have been $220. I didn’t understand the structure of the fees, so I removed the maintenance option.
Previously, one of my AC pans rusted out. I had been told it would be covered, so I waited. When it finally rusted through, a shut-off unit shorted out and I ended up with water damage in my walls. I was later told that pans are not covered. I probably should have replaced it earlier instead of waiting.

We’ve been with Old Republic for about eight years. My most recent claim was for an AC that stopped working. The technician came out the same day and was able to fix it during that visit. He was very nice. I’ve had a bad experience before, but he was nice.
The claim process is fine, calling in and getting someone out here is easy. It’s just that the cost isn’t very good.

The service was poor for our most recent claim with Old Republic. They sent out a firm they use locally, which came once and said they fixed the problem with our refrigerator freezer, but they did not. We called Old Republic back and requested a different company, but they sent the same people. The second time, the same thing happened. So, we gave up and hired somebody else to take care of the repair, and we had to pay $100 plus out-of-pocket to get it fixed.
When we called Old Republic, the customer service representative was fine and understanding, but the problem was that they chose a repair company that doesn't get work done. Both times, they said that they had repaired it. Unfortunately, it was a problem with the ice maker, and the ice maker didn't work either time. We actually had to have it replaced, which is what I told them in the first place, but they did not bother to do that either time.

We made a claim on our InSinkErator disposal on or around Fri 18 Apr 2025, and were quickly and efficiently responded to by both Old Republic and Extreme Plumbing and Hydro. Our experience with Extreme Plumbing and Hydro was absolutely great. The office was friendly and responsive and easy to work with. They got us scheduled right away. Erin was the tech that came out to do the work. She was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. She was able to get our InSinkErator disposal replaced without issue. I have three homes that are covered by Old Republic. It’s almost a need and they’re good to have. There’s been a couple times where I’ve had to call to follow up, which I don’t mind but they could be a little bit faster on the callback or give a little more attentiveness. Other than that, they’re good to work with.

My wife picked Old Republic, and it’s been iffy with them. I've had problems with a bunch of homes. I get my prices jacked up some from the service providers, and all of a sudden, I have to have modifications. Sometimes, they take the time calling my tenants. I also get turned down on a lot of things. They say it's not covered. It’s somewhat not totally frustrating, but I don't like that kind of business sense. If I'm gonna pay, I’d like it done.

I’m not happy with my first experience with Old Republic. I’ve only had the warranty for a couple of months. It was given to me during closing, when I bought my house. I recently made a claim for a problem with my refrigerator, which wasn’t cooling. They sent one of their technicians, who did absolutely nothing and left. The technician said he was going back to their shop to make an assessment and come back, which didn’t make sense. Then I never heard from him again. I called Old Republic a handful of times with no response. I ended up calling my own person to try and fix it, so I wasn’t able to use the warranty.

The electrician Felix with FFElectric was phenomenal. I had an appliance repairman look at the dryer previously. He found no issues with the dryer itself, and he thought it may be electrical. So, I submitted the service request, and the electrician fixed the issue the next day! They were super friendly and explained everything.

We’ve been with Old Republic since March and we're very happy with the service. They’re very prompt. We had to rekey the entire house because we just bought it. The person who came to do the job was very professional. It was great and quick. Luckily, we haven't had that many problems with Old Republic. One thing we wanted, they responded very quickly and promptly.

Ok, so maybe it is difficult to finally submit a repair ticket, but once you do, they are extremely dependable. When I complained about one of their providers, they quickly referred me to a new one that turned out to be great. They also called me which was very thoughtful. Don’t hesitate to contract Old Republic Home for your home warranty.

Even during normal working hours, the recording says its NOT working hours. Then directs you to the website. After completing the entire request for service AND providing payment information…. “submit” is not successful! I tried THREE times. Only the third time registered. The company contracted by ORHP 1 month ago to fix an A/C problem, which cost us $125 copay, now exhibits the SAME problem! I’m not sure what to do. No one has yet called us.

I have paid twice to have my water heater looked at as the water smells, has sediment and is cloudy. Both times they denied the claim saying the problem wasn't bad enough. I cannot drink the water, brush my teeth or shower but glad to know "it's not bad enough" for coverage.

We got a home warranty through Old Republic when we bought our home and used it for two things- bad outlet and dishwasher that stopped working. Very satisfied with both repairs (replaced dishwasher through warranty) so we renewed the home warranty. Have had one electrical issue since and it was fixed as well.

After taking over 30 days to get a repair technician out last year and it not being able to repair because it was now too cold I followed up with Old Republic this spring and they were able to send out a repair technician after two attempts to get a air conditioning unit on one of my rental properties repaired. I've dealt with many home warranty companies as a professional property manager and in my opinion Old Republic is the best company to deal with. Even though they are not perfect They are much better than the others.

Old Republic has been fantastic to work with this year. I switched from another very large company after a less than stellar customer experience, and wish I'd known about Old Republic sooner. It gives me great relief to know when I call they will answer, and send help if needed. Living in an older home doesn't need to be stressful, they make this simple and easy to file a claim and get someone out to help fix things when they happen. I added additional coverage for pool, slab protection, roof, and feel confident that I'm ready for anything.

I have been for three years using your services and I must saying except one time, every Robb I have submitted for repair had been addressed and corrected. Extremely professional providers and if there is an issue, you quickly address it and get me the right he’ll I need. I used different company and by far, Old Republic is the best!!! The staff and easy to use features with Old Republic are excellent. They are very responsive. I would like to see them allow for review of the contactors who provide service as I recently had a bad experience with one who should not be paid for their service as another company had to come in and clean up their mistakes and lack of customer concern or follow up.

The guy that Old Republic sent for my claim was great. He was friendly, got the work done, and very quickly, knew what he was doing. I was happy with that. I kept his name in case I need just something else done. We had an issue with a burnout fuse on the furnace. Now, everything's good. My experience with Old Republic so far has been fine. But they didn't do anything other than give me a recording when I submitted a claim for the furnace.

My experience is terrible. I called Old Republic and reported a toilet leak at the base on toilet bowl. Old Republic dispatched a plumber to my place. The plumber identified the issue as a rusted/chipped toilet flange and wax ring. The plumber called Old Republic to get the approvals for the fixes. I also called Old republic and got confirmation that my plan covers both the wax ring and flange. A late later, a lady from Old Republic called me and told me that they denied fixes because the house is vacant. I told the lady that the house is NOT vacant, the previous owner has just moved out and I am moving in.
During the conversation, I mentioned that I am borderline obese and need to have a working bathroom. The lady then said may be your weight broke the toilet and Old Republic only fix and repair normal wear and tear and therefore, here is another reason to reject the fix request because you are obese. I was speechless. I am at my retirement age, 210 lbs and because of my height I am at range of borderline obese. I think any toilet can support 210 lbs of weight. Using any excuse, especially my weight, to reject a legitimate fix request is just beyond comprehension. As of this moment, I have no working bathroom. The toilet bowl is sitting in the middle of the bathroom. BTW - the whole conversation between me and the Old Republic representative is on the recorded line.

Overall, my experience with Old Republic has been great. When I need to submit a service request, I find it convenient to call through their automatic phone system rather than going online. It's a straightforward process, which I appreciate.
I've had several repair services through Old Republic, and while it's unfortunate to need repairs, the service technicians have consistently been courteous and professional. Their customer service has been excellent, and each encounter has been positive. I haven't had any negative experiences so far, despite having called them multiple times for different issues.
Regarding Old Republic's website, I find that I don't need to use it frequently since payments are automatically managed. Overall, I'm happy with my choice, and I believe Old Republic has done an excellent job handling everything efficiently.

I have been an Old Republic Home Protection customer for about seven years, and throughout my time with them, I've primarily interacted with them through phone calls. While their customer service is quite commendable, the waiting times can be a bit lengthy; it's not unusual to wait about 15 minutes just to get on a call for a few minutes. Once you're connected, the experience is substantially better.
The technicians dispatched by old republic have consistently been commendable. They keep me informed about what's happening during their visits and clearly explain the services done once completed.
Though the long wait times on the phone could be improved, I believe old republic does a pretty good job overall. Would I recommend them? Absolutely. My experience consistently meets expectations, making me quite satisfied with their services.

It was only recently that I ended my relationship with Old Republic Home Protection after having their coverage for about two and a half years, which initially came through our realtor. The most recent (and only) claim I experienced was for a water heater issue. It took them an astounding 13 days to send someone out to assess the situation. My husband took point on it, but I just couldn’t shake the disappointment. It felt like they were quick to take our money but sluggish in providing service. Due to that dissatisfaction, we decided to drop them. Although everything seems to be working fine now, the service just didn’t meet our expectations, so we won’t be using them again.

Our experience with Old Republic has been quite satisfactory. Whenever I've needed to submit a claim, it's usually done over the phone, and I'm always able to reach a live representative, which is very helpful. Once we've been assigned a contractor for a claim, we receive an email with all necessary details such as the name, phone number, and claim number, and they follow up with us to schedule an appointment.
I've found the quality of their contractors to be good. We had a situation with our washer malfunctioning, and ultimately, after you'll find failed repair attempts, Old Republic offered to replace it. They presented me with options to replace the washer or receive a cash in lieu, allowing us to choose a new washer ourselves. We opted for the cash option, which, although initially took some time for paperwork processing, ended up working out well for us.
Regarding their customer service, I'd give them top marks. Their communication is consistent. For coverage, I’d rate it as good as it functions as expected.

My experience with Old Republic has been quite satisfactory. My latest interaction was prompt and impressive; the representative was kind, clean, and punctual. Over time, I've encountered issues with both my water heater and the home's heating system. On both occasions, the service was effectively executed within the same day, restoring everything to perfect working order.
This company has truly stood out compared to several other warranty companies I've tried. With my extensive dealings across warranty companies, I find Old Republic Home Protection to be exceptional in its service quality and customer care.

Keep in mind that the one star reviews are more than half the number of the 5 star reviews. Purchased their silver policy. Our garbage disposal was smoking. I waited over 45 minutes to be able to ask questions. The $100 they charge for a service call covers ONE only and NO REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT! The plumbing companies I contacted do not even charge $100 for their calls. This company has found ways to invalidate ANY and ALL repairs that should be included in a $600 for one year policy. Before you can schedule any service at all, you must pay $100 up front. This company rips their customers off and I believe most of the positive reviews are fake. I cannot begin to tell you how angry I am that I wasted $600.

I've been with Old Republic Home Protection for over five years now. Throughout this time, I have had a few interactions with them, including filing a claim when my dishwasher needed attention for an electrical issue. We've been with Old Republic Home Protection for about ten months now and have had a couple of claims. Overall, submitting a claim is straightforward, either online or over the phone, which has made the process hassle-free. But I found using their website a bit cumbersome compared to phoning in, Our interactions with contractors have been mostly positive. We've had vendors show up promptly, addressing issues like pinhole leaks in copper pipes efficiently. Although it took about a week at first, the subsequent visit was handled within a couple of days. The quality of the service from these contractors has been notably high, as evidenced by the successful repairs of our pipes and a central vacuum issue.
One negative experience occurred when we faced water damage soon after buying our house. The former owners left us with water damage and leak coming out of the ceiling that they had identified as an HVAC leak. So we called Old Republic and said that we had an HVAC problem. When the first vendor who came out, it ended up not being an HVAC leak, but he was very abrupt. He was here for five minutes and said that it was a plumbing issue, not HVAC. Then he was out of here. He left us on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend with a leaking pipe and no recourse. And he didn't speak a lot of English. So we had to call back to the office and didn't find out until after the holiday what the issue was. Then, Old Republic sent a plumbing guy out a few days later who resolved the situation adequately.
Overall, Old Republic has provided us with great peace of mind. The ease of getting repairs done when unexpected issues arise is invaluable, especially for an older home. Minus the one anomaly, the support and repair services have been exceptional. I appreciate that Old Republic is effortless to work with and responsive, ensuring skilled professionals handle the work.

Although I wasn't present when the technician first visited our home, my wife informed me that Old Republic Home Protection faced challenges in resolving one of our appliance issues. Specifically, our washing machine wouldn't dispense cold water, only warm, causing inconvenience for my wife's laundry routine. When my wife communicated this to Old Republic, they quickly arranged for a second visit, demonstrating excellent customer support. However, one aspect I'd like improved is the service fee. We incurred a $100 charge each time a technician visited. It's frustrating, especially when the overall cost of minor repairs doesn't seem to justify the fee.
On one occasion, I had to cancel a pre-scheduled visit due to unforeseen circumstances, yet the $100 fee wasn't waived even when no service was rendered. It all added up to what I estimated as a few hundred dollars spent just on fees. The assurance of coverage a warranty provides should translate into tangible savings for issues that emerge.

It took nearly two months to get my heater fixed. There was a lot of “he said, she said” between ORHP and vendor. So much so, I transcribed my conversations with every agent I spoke with at ORHP and vendors. Then when it was time for me to renew my policy, I was informed that my policy was being cancelled for having two major repairs in my first year (heater and A/C) it would be cost prohibitive to keep me on as a client.

Old Republic Home Protection was what the realtor suggested when we bought the house. We submitted our service requests over the phone, which has been a mixed experience as we are currently dealing with issues related to our fridge. While talking to customer service, sometimes they were helpful, and other times not so much. Unfortunately, Old Republic has been sending out repair companies with poor ratings, leading to more frustration. These companies often have one-star reviews and seem ineffective, lengthening the resolution time as it requires back-and-forth communication.

I have been try to get my air-conditioning fixed for 2 weeks and the technician came out and looked at it and tried to order the parts to get it fixed and was told that ORHW would take care of getting it ordered. I have heard nothing from Old Republic in 2 weeks on what is going on and still do not have AC and it is getting very HOT.

While I haven't made many claims, the ones I have were handled promptly and efficiently. These were small matters, yet the customer service representatives dealt with them exceptionally well over the phone, ensuring everything was taken care of seamlessly.
In terms of pricing, around $85 seems pretty standard, and I'd say it's worth every penny considering the peace of mind their protection plan offers. Overall, my experience has been quite positive with Old Republic Home Protection, and their customer service deserves a special mention.

I placed a service order on 3/20, for a clogged sink. The provider called and scheduled an appt to come out on Sat 3/22. I got a message from ORHP that the plumber was unable to do the work because there was no clean out at the property. I called the provider and left a message to discuss and hadn’t heard back so I called ORHP on 3/25 at 8:53am and advised that I hadn’t heard back from the plumber. Lady told me she would reach out to them to call me and that I would still have 30 days to get fixed if I was able to get a clear out. I called another plumber and they were able to get the clog cleared just fine through the p-trap so I called ORHP today to see if I can get it paid for or my $100 service call refunded since the plumber that was sent out didn’t do the work and hasn’t even returned my phone call but ORHP is saying they have no logs of me calling when it’s clearly on my phone log that I called on 3/25.

Generally, my interactions with Old Republic representatives have been pleasant. However, I encountered an issue when there was an error with our refrigerator problem. Due to this error, even considering an upgrade to a higher service level wouldn’t allow us to get the refrigerator looked at, which felt completely unfair. It seemed there was either an inability or unwillingness to correct this mistake.
On the flip side, whenever we've had technicians come out for service, they've consistently been professional and effective. Most experiences with Old Republic have been positive besides the refrigerator issue. However, when asked to rate my overall experience, I'd say a 3 out of 5. The unjust situation with the fridge really brought down my satisfaction.

When I bought my house, Old Republic came highly recommended. I've stuck with them for 3 years now because when I have a problem, they always come through. Whenever I've had an issue, like last summer when my upstairs air conditioning went out, they've always been quick to respond and resolve the problem. My air conditioner recently went out, and they're in the process of trying to do that now as well.
Whenever I need assistance, I typically give them a call—it’s straightforward and they’ve always been courteous over the phone. I got the impression that they really know their business, which is reassuring.

When I was closing on my house, I selected Old Republic Home Protection out of several home warranty options available. Although we didn’t know much about any of them at the time, I'm happy with the choice. My experience so far has been great. We've had our house rekeyed and also encountered an issue with our air conditioner, which was smoothly taken care of by Old Republic.
I submit service requests over the phone, and the representatives I've interacted with have always been very nice and friendly, thoroughly addressing any questions I had. Regarding the AC repair, the technician who came out was exceptional. He was very thorough and did a really good job, and since then, the AC has been working perfectly.

Once I call in a claim, I get a claim number, a scheduled visit from a contractor, and information on any cost I'm responsible for when they arrive.
My most recent claim involved a dryer that had stopped working, which was quite concerning. The issue was promptly resolved, and currently, everything is functioning perfectly. One thing I truly appreciate about Old Republic is their timely response. When something needs fixing, they don't leave me waiting. Old Republic Home Protection was already in place when I bought my house, and I've held onto their home warranty for around 13 years. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been inconsistent. The issue with my double oven was particularly frustrating. After initially fixing it by replacing an element, the problem resurfaced a year later. Despite my reaching out, they refused to cover the repair, which left me having to purchase a new oven with some help from my grandson – a costly endeavor placing a financial strain on me at my age.
The technicians sent by Old Republic can be quite hit or miss. On one occasion, a so-called technician attempted to rebuild my toilet, which turned into a drawn-out process lasting about five or six hours. His lack of proficiency was evident, which was frustrating. It seems that these technicians primarily serve Old Republic Home Protection rather than their clients.
The claims process is equally unpredictable; it works sometimes and doesn't at other times. Even though there have been moments of assistance, like when they helped install a water regulator after I received a new hot water heater from Edison, the overall experience has mostly been disappointing. Therefore, despite being with them for many years, I'm starting to doubt their reliability. My rating for them would be a 2 out of 5, given the mixed outcomes and challenges in getting satisfactory assistance.

Whenever I need to submit a claim, the process begins with an automated system before connecting to an agent. Initially, filing the claim is straightforward, but getting approval and repairs done takes ages. For example, it once took two months to fix our air conditioner during a scorching period over 100 degrees. Each follow-up call revealed that the approval process needed to navigate through various channels, which was frustrating given the urgency.
The highlight of the service is the initial claim filing simplicity, which is offset by the lengthy approval wait time. It supposedly takes 7 to 10 days to get approvals, but nothing is ever approved right away. Despite the frustration, it was worthwhile because it saved us money on air conditioning repairs, though we had to pay $400 for re-piping due to the age of the unit, which was expected.
We've had the service for less than a year so far, and it's worth it for the cost savings, though improvements in approval speed are necessary. I gave customer service and the price a rating of 4 out of 5 and coverage 5 out of. Once the appliance has been repaired, its performance is satisfactory. However, people that came out to do the service have issues getting paid sometimes. That's why a lot of companies don't do home warranties.
Overall, while there's a notable delay in repairs due to approval backups, Old Republic proved helpful financially and got the job done in the end.

Pristine Plumbing arrived and spent almost an hour but they were unable to unclog the sink. Another plumber came the next day with a 50' snake and was successful in unclogging the sink. The guys were great at explaining the process and issue and got it taken care of right away. Punctual and very professional. We have had ORHP for ten years, and I am questioning why I keep renewing. They always send providers with terrible reviews and sketchy service. We are paying a fee for a pool issue even though the company showed up and said it was electrical. The electrician was not helpful, lied to ORHP, and tried to call a buddy to refer us to. My husband was not comfortable and we ended up hiring our own company after research and paying out of pocket. When you called customer care to complain, they were rude and sided with the provider. Again I truly debate why I continue this policy… I pay extra for pool, but pool company can’t help us with a loud motor “until it breaks”.

I’ve had Old Republic warranty for 2 years. Most recently I called about my water heater. I was told under my plan that it was covered. What they didn’t tell me was the fine print. I had one of their providers come and check the water heater. The plumber deemed it as unsafe and drained it. He said that it would have to be replaced. This is when the fun starts who is going to replace it. I’m going on three days of waiting for Old Republic. They like to keep you waiting, lie to you and push it on to someone else. As of today I still do not have a water heater. I was told by a manager they call today by 11:30. It’s Friday and we know nothing will happen. I will never recommend Old Republic and will be cancelling. Good luck.

Old Republic Home Protection was on my house when I bought it and I've been using their services for some time now. While there are aspects I appreciate, like their general coverage, I've faced some challenges. For instance, there was confusion when my printer and water heater needed replacement. I didn't realize that I had to pay upfront, which was unexpected, as I thought everything was covered.
Upgrading my plan also proved difficult. I wanted to enhance my coverage at the end of my term, but was informed it wasn't possible at that time. Additionally, while the service is usually quick to respond to problems, securing a contractor can be a hassle. Sometimes, they take their time, and I once had an issue where a contractor took too long to reach out and complete a task.
In terms of getting things installed, like when I needed a new stove and hood, Old Republic delivered but couldn't complete the installation. I had to seek outside help, which was a bit inconvenient. On the positive side, I can request specific contractors I trust for certain tasks, which makes the process smoother. Overall, while I'm mostly satisfied, there are areas where Old Republic could definitely improve its service.

I’m a realtor and my daughter has a policy with Old Republic. I usually am the middleperson because they’re usually at work. I usually call over the phone to submit claims as I’m a talk-to-a-person kind of person. Everything has always been pleasant. The most recent claim was over my daughter’s heater, and it has been working okay since the repair.
I’ve used other home warranty companies. My big complaint is that if you don’t have heat on w weekend and then you call, it may be end of the next week before they get out there In some of the companies if they call somebody on a Thursday, and they say that they can’t get out there till next Tuesday, then they’ll give you the opportunity to find somebody else and submit the bill to them. The turnaround time sometimes can be aggravating. Also, I feel like a loyal customer should get some discount too. Still, I would recommend a friend to them.

Old Republic took very long. Every time I've called, they put me on hold, which was fine. I do understand you have to look back at tire reports to see what has been said so you know how to address it. But I was on the phone for 20 to 30 minutes each time I called.
The technician they sent for my refrigerator was not good. I haven't had a refrigerator in the home since we moved in here. So I've lost a month's worth of food during this whole course.
When he came out the first time, I explained to him that every three days, our refrigerator went out. But he punched in some numbers and said, everything's fine. So he didn't do any further diagnostics besides that.
He has actually been out three times since then. He came out and repaired it twice for two different things, and it still did the same thing. They told me that he couldn't fix it anymore. And they gave us a budget to buy a new refrigerator.
It ended up needing my refrigerator to be replaced, and I've already had to buy it. I submitted the payment to them about last week. And it said it takes 21 days.
Yesterday, I called them because of my dishwasher. I have to run it through two and three cycles. It’s supposed to be energy efficient, but it did not work. So we had the technician check it. He touched a few buttons and said everything was fine.
But they said that he only guarantees his work for 30 days. And I was two days past the time. So, I would have to pay for another person to come out here and look at it again.

I usually call, and the interaction with the representative has been good. I've used them three times. And every time, the problems are resolved within 48 hours. So, I'll say it's great, and I had no complaints.

The website didn't accommodate that too well, but it worked. I haven't tried accessing the website through a computer, so I can't comment on that experience.

I’ve kept Old Republic on all my houses since 2017. They’ve made me happy over the years, so I’ve stayed with them. Calling the call center could be a little quicker, but that’s really my only issue. I understand that with today’s economy, a lot of places are short‑staffed. When it comes to handling claims, they’ve done a great job getting the work completed.
The home warranty provide me with the contact information for the vendor who will be reaching out and who will handle the job. Sometimes they ask me to call the vendor directly instead. The vendors have generally been good.
Recently, I had a plumber replace a toilet, and they did a good job. Old Republic took care of it. Their plan prices have gone up a bit, and I think the deductible increased from $75 to $110. It would be nice if the prices came back down some.

Everything worked out great with our claim. Filing it was really easy over the phone. We were given the company name of the contractor that was gonna be showing up. We were told that we were gonna be given a phone call by the contractor, which happened, and everything went smoothly after that.
We had a leak in our water heater. When they came out the first time, it wasn't leaking so they couldn't determine where it was coming from, so we had to wait an additional week until it started leaking again. We reached back out to Old Republic. Then the contractor reached out to us and came out that following Monday, and they were able to locate the issue. Due to the circumstance, it was a lot longer than I anticipated, but I understand the reasoning why.
Everything was treated accordingly. We have peace of mind that if something were to go wrong with the home, someone can come out and address the issue. It's a 5-year old home, but you never know. I would recommend Old Republic to a neighbor.

I've used Old Republic already, but I found that really disappointing because I just got into a new home and my dishwasher stopped working after using it for the second time. I used my warranty that I had through the Old Republic and the guy came out and found that the air gap was clogged, so he just unclogged it. I was a little mad I had to pay 100 bucks for just for a minute's worth of work, but it's been working great. Overall, it was a good experience so, but I'll wait and see for future issues.

I had Old Republic send a technician because my fan kept coming on and I didn't know if it was a thermostat problem or a hardware problem in the attic.
When the guy came over, he was nice. He looked at the thermostat and said they were fine. He went up in the attic and found that the unit that I have for the upstairs has a specific thing built into it. It has a special thing attached to it that automatically turns the fan on whenever it wants and I have no control over it. It's built into the system. He also told me that this will have a minimal effect on my electricity bill.
I don't know if his diagnosis was right. All I know is that I paid $90 for you guys to come out and tell me that. I never even heard of something like that before. So I don't know if what he's telling me is accurate or not. I have not called Old Republic back about that yet because I am waiting to see my electricity bill and if it affected.

Old Republic's representative, Janelle, made the product very appealing, and I was quite impressed with her professionalism. In terms of service, I filed a claim for my sump pump, and they addressed it immediately, which was fantastic. However, my microwave has been out of service for about a month and a half, which is quite frustrating, and I'm intending to contact them to resolve this issue.
Despite this hiccup, I often recommend Old Republic to friends and relatives. In fact, I even have acquaintances in Oklahoma who have signed up based on my recommendation.
If I were to rate them, I'd give Old Republic Home Protection a solid 5 for customer service and quality. The website is also very user-friendly, deserving of a 5. However, regarding the price, I'd give it a 3 as I feel there's room for improvement in terms of value. Overall, my experiences have been generally positive with them.

My experience with Old republic has been horrible. They owe me money. They're a rip-off and con artists. They're scammers. They owe me at least $200, plus my time and emotional well-being from what they put me through.
They put me on hold for two hours. They'll pretend they're gonna get a supervisor. And then they get another person. They put you back in the queue for a longer hold. Then they supposedly send out people. And they're all awful, low-rated technicians. And they all say no. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
A company came out for the toilet but they didn't do a repair. Old Republic sends out bad, horrible people, or they say they're going to, and then they don't. They send someone else. They won't make it right. They say in their advertising, “We won't leave you high and dry.” They left me high and dry.
They told me $200. The guy called me and told me he would refund all my money. Then he just said, “Well, I'm gonna refund you the $60, not the other amount.” And then that took forever. I'm still trying to find out what they're gonna do about the $200, but I think they won't do anything.
The stove claim, they denied. But then they say, “Well, let me send someone else out.” And then even after they told me they were canceling it, they sent someone. Then they were gonna send another person. And then they canceled that on text. They have bad communication. it’s awful. And then when I responded in kind in how they were treating me, they blamed me and were abusive to me.
I'm flabbergasted by the whole thing. I want my $200 back. I can never get the anguish they caused me and caused me health issues because of this. And I was doing this for peace of mind and got nothing but headaches and horrible stuff. They blocked me because I complained and because I told them, “I'm not tolerating this.” They just blocked me.

Old Republic is a great service. We've purchased rental properties before, and we were given the option for the new home buyer protection plan and they offered us three. We looked at the policies, and we chose Old Republic for two reasons. One, the price is competitive and well worth the service. And two, we had a great experience with them before.
My tenant called and said the water heater went out. I called Old Republic, left a message, and the agent called me back within 30 minutes. She gave me the name of the contractor, I called them and they called me back right away. The service tech came out first thing Monday morning, said he’d be there at 9:00 AM. At 9:05, he was there. He was very responsive. He noticed that something else was wrong with the connection and fixed that. So not only was the representative great, but the plumbing company that they assigned was good too, so we're very happy. My tenant said it works perfectly and she’s very happy. I have had a number of claims and every time we've called Old Republic, they've been awesome.

I found Old Republic through my Realtor and it’s been good. I just recently had them come out to check my refrigerator because my freezer wasn't working and it wasn't getting the food cold. It turned out one of the little shelf thingies that’s there was put on backwards, so the door wasn't closing completely. But it’s working now.

When we bought our house, our real estate agent picked Old Republic for our first year of warranty coverage. They recently replaced our water heater, which was causing issues with the water pressure. The water pressure would spike whenever the heater was running, causing concern that a pipe could burst. When I filed a claim with Old Republic, I found their automated system surprisingly easy to use despite not being great with automation. They provided me with the contractor's company name and phone number.
The service interaction with the contractor was excellent. He came prepared and replaced the water heater in about 2 to 3 hours. Everything is working great now. I would rate Old Republic a four out of five and would recommend them to others as one of the best in my experience. Although I didn't directly talk to a representative when filing the claim, the whole process was smooth through their automated system. Overall, I would tell friends or family that Old Republic is the best I know of for home warranties.

A friend told me about Old Republic, and I went with them. I’ve been with them for a couple of months, and so far, I think the claim process is OK. When I needed to make a claim recently, I had to do it over the phone, and the representative I spoke with was awesome. My claim was for a garage door that wouldn't close properly. When I pressed the button, it looked like it wanted to close but stayed up instead. They identified the issue as a wire problem. While it’s not happening as often now, it still doesn’t close properly and requires multiple presses.
I am not sure if I should contact Old Republic or the service provider directly about the ongoing issue.

Old Republic provided excellent service. The automated system worked well and the follow-up was thorough. The technician was dispatched within a couple of days, which I thought was great. The contractor determined that the pool pump needed a new filter, and so he worked diligently to get that repaired. The response was very quick and they did everything right.

My wife took care of getting Old Republic Home Protection, and I think we'd had them when we were in California. Over the seven years, we've had two electricians, the garage door guy, and a couple of plumbers come out, and it’s always been very easy and thorough. My wife sets up the service with a phone call to a representative. As for the price, it is expensive, but not as expensive as dealing with other people would have been. We have recommended Old Republic to several friends.

It's peace of mind having Old Republic. I've been a property manager for our own properties, without having the service plan, and the out of pocket can be great. And I understand that I'm paying a fee every month, but so far, I've had a 100% or more return on investment on three properties. So, I'm very pleased with Old Republic. We had a plumbing claim in Sun City, and the property was empty. We told them it was a rental. They asked if anybody was actually living there at the time and if we needed immediate care. We said no and they gave us an appointment the following Wednesday. Otherwise, it would have been at night, and we weren't even sure we could get service because it was already midday. My husband met the plumber at the rental and he did the service. I haven't had any complaints about any of the contractors. Last year, we had an AC issue at my son's house. The guy who came out said it would have cost him over $500 if he didn’t have a home warranty. He only paid $75. It was really easy to log it in and request the service. They called, asked questions and then they scheduled it, and I could see the schedule online. I could see where my payment was gonna be charged online, when the service was provided the next day, the payment was charged to my card online. It was almost seamless.
The tenant who lived in Sun City bought his own house in Sun City, and I told him I like Old Republic because they seem fair. Everything is upfront, the portal is easy to use, and the service is good. They use local service providers and if you find that you just wanna call a plumber who doesn't qualify under the home warranty 'cause some things don't, there are limits like every warranty program, then, at least, you know who you can call for service and know that they're gonna do a good job.

Submitting a claim for my water heater was quite straightforward. I called Old Republic and they sent a technician out in less than a day, which I found to be very prompt.
Initially, the technician thought he had fixed the issue but had to return for a second visit. Fortunately, it was resolved the second time. Overall, I found the service to be satisfactory – they were quick in their response and resolved the issue efficiently. I would rate my experience with Old Republic Home Protection a 4 out of 5.

I had my water heater leaking the other day, and I had to turn in a claim through Old Republic. But it wasn’t the actual water heater. It was the supply line, but it was filling water.
And the process was good. Submitting the claim online was easy. And then they got me in touch with somebody immediately, and then he came out and found out what it was and fixed it. He was able to tighten the nut and stop the water from leaking. The contractor was nice.

Though we have had 2 different service providers replace the same heating element and timer, we have not been offered a replacement dishwasher. It is mind boggling to me that a company would spend more money to fix a dishwasher that is 20 years old rather than simply replace it. Now we are out the $220 and will likely have to purchase a new dishwasher ourselves. That has been very disappointing.

Thought this would be major issue (both kitchen sinks backing up). Enrique from Tibercios Plumbing showed up quite rapidly and did his plumber things which we thought took care of issue. 2 days later back up occurred again in same 2 sinks in kitchen. Called Old Republic and spoke to Shay who with a can do attitude told me that ORHP would do a call back for original vendor. She did and the original plumber was back and really rocked in handling issue. At present all is good, wife is happy and cats now let me pet them. Thanks for all from us.

Over the years, I've owned several different home warranty programs in several states and this is by far the best one I've owned. Awful experience from service provider. Required multiple calls to ORHP. First service provider never returned any phone calls and failed to show up to multiple scheduled appointments. After calling ORHP several times did they finally connect me with a reputable service provider. Extremely unhappy with my experience and will definitely be a factor when considering renewing my home insurance. I will most likely not renew.

JJ Appliance took 3X to fix the microwave with the same problem. The problem is simple: The microwave light is off when the door is close but the microwave is running. When you let the door open, the light is on but the microwave is off. I have to pay 3x call orders. It almost cost as a new microwave. Really disappointed. I hope this is never happen to me.

They are very responsive if you send them an email during an open ticket, but calling them is quite a different matter -- I have been on hold for over 40 minutes and no one answered. They assigned a dud of a contractor who never showed up but they quickly cancelled that dufus and found another. I would choose this company again over the other one (a company with a history and a class action lawsuit because they avoided honoring claims).

I bought a home and decided to try out Old Republic Home Protection. Their online portal makes it easier to request services covered by the warranty I purchased and their website portal is relatively simple, though a bit outdated. They assign local service providers to handle the requests, who then assess the situation and check if it's covered before fixing the issue. Out of the repairs I've needed, the outcome has been half satisfactory and half disappointing. For instance, my pool pump was damaged and, despite having extra pool coverage, they refused to fix it as they claimed it was a pre-existing problem before I bought the house. However, with the garbage disposal, they were prompt and replaced the entire unit instead of just a quick fix. Also, Old Republic Home Protection's customer service is problematic; it's challenging to reach someone through their call center.

When I purchased the house at the end of October, the owner purchased Old Republic as part of the deal. There's a trash compactor that didn't work they had to turn something on or maybe clean it out a little bit. They fix it. Then the washing machine was walking across the garage and pulling out from the wall. So they sent somebody to fix that. I had a recent electrical call where an electrician had to come out because the house was shorting for some reason. We still don't know why. But they seemed fine. I didn't have any complaints. They were helpful and responsive.

I had a garage door specialist come out the day after I requested it and had it fixed within an hour or two. He was excellent and had great communication skills. Other than that, I paid for Old Republic to send pest control out but I never had anybody come out. They didn’t have one that was in the area, unfortunately. It would be great if they had something they could set up and if they could get more contractors for pest control because I couldn’t really find one.

I would recommend Old Republic Home Protection. With them, insurance is the right choice because of the prices and everything else. The recent service was a water heater that wasn't working. It was a good experience with Old Republic. But I complained to them about the third-party company that they used. The service was delayed because of the third-party company. My experience with Old Republic Home Protection has been quite frustrating. I've been a customer for about a year and have had to use their services once. I submitted my service request by phone, but the process was very frustrating due to the long wait times. I had to wait nearly an hour just to get someone to take my call, and then I got transferred around only to be disconnected. When I finally got through, I canceled a service request. Despite calling both Old Republic and the company that was supposed to perform the work, Old Republic claimed they had no record of my cancellation. Even though I canceled the request, the service provider showed up a week later, and I was charged $85 just for their visit, without any work being done.
This experience was especially irritating because I have COPD, so spending lengthy times on stressful calls is burdensome. To avoid any potential harm to my credit score, I reluctantly paid the fee. I decided not to renew my policy afterward because I found the warranty services offered by Old Republic to be more trouble than they're worth.
I had a similar experience with Old Republic years ago on another property, but at least the work got done back then. This time, it was just back and forth, never getting resolved in a satisfactory way, and I'm seriously disappointed. My family members have had similar experiences too, finding these warranty policies to be more costly than expected. Given this, I would not recommend Old Republic Home Protection to anyone. I believe in sticking to one’s word, and that doesn’t seem to be the norm here anymore.

I first heard about Old Republic through a recommendation from my friend who uses their home warranty services. I've been with the service for about 4 or 5 months now. So far, I've called them a couple of times, and the experience has been really good and helpful. Recently, I had an issue with my water heater in the garage as it was leaking. I reached out to Old Republic by phone and found the process relatively easy.

I've had Old Republic about six months and a month or so ago, we had a plumbing issue. I busted a pipe moving a vanity and I've repaired it myself, but I called out a plumber to inspect everything to make sure it looked okay before I patched the hole. The plumber was great. He did a really nice inspection and said everything looked good. No repairs were needed.

I submitted a claim related to my air conditioner, which stopped working after a power outage flipped the circuit board located under the house. Old Republic was fairly quick in their response, sending a technician over in about 3 to 4 days. The technician was knowledgeable and polite, resetting the circuit to get my air conditioner up and running again. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and don't see any immediate areas for improvement.

Old Republic covers up to $500 of code upgrades, if something has to be replaced. So, that seemed attractive because it seemed like everybody else didn't cover any code upgrades. I’ve been with them for four months and I like it best that they cover a little bit better than some of the other ones do. There are less loopholes and less things that they don't cover than my other warranty company. But they could improve in their website. It's a little bit clunky and not very user-friendly when you have to manage your account or put in the service request. The claims process wasn’t very intuitive as well as the login process. The contractor seemed like they're newer and less experienced. But at the end of the day, they fixed the problem. So, I was happy about that.

The first people who came out did not fix the icemaker and Old Republic had to bring somebody else out to fix it. It’s working okay now. The techs were good but the fee was a little more than I thought it should be. It's awfully hard to get ahold of Old Republic through the telephone number. You wind up talking to a machine.

People should get a home warranty insurance if they don't have it. I like Old Republic’s pricing. It's only $100 to have somebody to come out. They have a way to make payments online but if you can’t, the providers have electronic payments as well so they are able to take payments when they come out to your house. I called Old Republic’s number when I made my first claim. You just press a bunch of options till you get the option that best suits you. It was easy because I'm tech savvy. The last guy who came out for my heater was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was I had to call him to make an appointment. I wish you can pick your time slot online and do it like that.

I've been a customer of Old Republic Home Protection for less than a year, and my experience with their service has been frustrating. When I initially called to request service for my HVAC system, I had to navigate through an automated system, which offered no option to speak with a real person. Over a month went by without any follow-up, despite me calling four times.
Eventually, someone from Old Republic contacted me, realized nothing had been done, and arranged for a different company to come out. The technician who finally visited was courteous and quick, assuring me that there were no issues with my HVAC system. Fortunately, it remains trouble-free. However, the lack of initial response and inability to speak directly with a representative were significant negatives. Due to this experience, I would rate my satisfaction with Old Republic as a one out of five.

I recently had an issue with my water heater that started leaking, so I contacted Old Republic Home Protection. They responded very quickly and sent out a technician. The tech was very nice and explained that he needed to get approval to replace the unit. A few days later, he returned and replaced the water heater, and everything is working fine now.
The claim process was surprisingly easy. Although I didn't have my home warranty information at hand, I simply Googled their phone number, called them, and they handled everything efficiently. I’m quite satisfied with how smoothly everything was managed.

Don't expect fair treatment. First time they outright lied to me about a water heater being under warranty and they knew was not. They told me that it would be three weeks to get a response from the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and gave them the serial number and they instantly told me it was out of warranty by 4.5 year. My fridge has been down since Thanksgiving and it's now Valentine's day and it is still not fixed. The first vendor said it was a control board and replaced that. It broke down again in a few day. They sent the same vendor out who said it was the compressor that needed to be replaced but he could not do that type of repair. They send out a second vendor who says the compressor needs to be replaced.
A month later they replace the compressor. Same thing, a few hours later the fridge does not work. ORHP says they need to verify that it nots working again. They send the same vendor out of the third time. He replaces the thermistor, same result. The fridge does not work. At this point, I am 4 repair attempts by two vendors and 85 days with no kitchen fridge. Who can live and function without a fridge for three months. They are going to send out the same vendor again. We keep doing to same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I called ORHP today and wanted to talk to a supervisor, after bring on hold for 52 minutes I was told a supervisor would call me back. I'm still waiting.

I first heard about Old Republic from a family member. I was looking for a home warranty company different from the one I previously used. I considered about three companies, including my previous one, before selecting Old Republic mainly for their reasonable prices. Submitting a claim wasn't difficult, but I struggled a bit with their website, especially when trying to check on my claim, which made it challenging. However, I eventually figured it out by referring to an initial sign-up email. Also, there was a notable delay after the contractor was assigned. It took approximately a month and a week from the start of the claim to the replacement of my appliance. After contacting the company due to the delay, things got resolved within a week, though initially, they claimed to be waiting for additional information. Once I followed up, the appliance was quickly ordered. The contractors did a good job; they were responsive and managed to install the appliance the same day it was delivered. Since then, everything has been working well.

I recently had the opportunity to share my experience with Old Republic Home Protection, and overall, I am quite satisfied.
Most of my interactions with them have been over the phone, and their customer service reps are excellent.
The only downside is the long wait times; sometimes I find myself waiting up to an hour to speak with someone. However, once I get through, the experience is great.
Regarding claims, there was a plumbing issue recently, and it was handled efficiently.
The one area where I see room for improvement is pricing. I was surprised to see that the cost went significantly higher, from around $1100 to almost $1800, despite not having many claims on my property up north in Prescott. This increase felt steep considering the lack of frequent claims.

My realtor purchased an Old Republic home warranty for me upon buying my first house. Since then, I've been using the service, starting from November. Generally, I submit claims online, and while the site is good, I think there's room for improvement. The options provided often don't match the issues I face, and it would be helpful to have an "other" option where details can be typed.
My experience with a specific claim involved a toilet that caused the entire house to rattle with a high-pitched noise whenever it flushed. While repairs were done promptly, and the service was efficient, my hectic schedule made it hard to remember every detail the technician relayed at the time.
Though generally satisfied, there was an instance, while dealing with my kitchen pipes, where I wasn't informed clearly about what wasn't covered until afterward. Understanding what is and isn't covered upfront would significantly enhance the service experience. Despite this, I've found Old Republic’s response time impressive, as they typically send someone out on the same day a claim is made. However, I feel more clarity around the insurance plans offered would benefit customers, especially if a minimal plan is initially provided by a third party, such as a realtor.
For anyone considering a home warranty, I'd recommend having one, especially since not all issues get caught during a home inspection. Having Old Republic was crucial for me, given the number of times I've needed it due to issues with my house.
Overall, based on Old Republic’s efficiency and the importance of having a home warranty, I'd rate them a 4. They have been great to deal with. If there's a better understanding of coverage and plan options, this could easily make the service top-notch.

I've had series of claims I made over the past couple of months with Old Republic, five in total. The experience with most of them, including a claim for my refrigerator freezer, was positive. The service team visited promptly and inspected the freezer, which was not cooling properly. After thorough inspection and cleaning of its components, they concluded it was still operational but simply old. They informed me it needed to be fully non-functional before they could replace it, which was slightly inconvenient as I anticipated a failure soon due to its age.
While the overall quality of service was generally satisfactory, there was a frustrating instance involving a plumber. It took him four attempts to fix something that only required about 20 minutes. Despite his kind demeanor, it felt as though he wasn't fully engaged during the repairs.
On a positive note, Old Republic's website makes claiming an issue straightforward, enhancing the overall ease of their service. Despite minor setbacks, my overall experience remains favorable, and I would recommend their services.

I'm satisfied with Old Republic. The technician they sent out was fantastic. In the summer time, he came out for my air conditioning and fixed it. On the latest visit, he came out for my heater. My thermostat wasn't good. He made an adjustment on the thermostat and told me it was all messed up. I needed a new thermostat. I'm working on getting $110 for the service fee, and as soon as I save up to $110, I'm gonna have them come out and put in a replacement thermostat that's not goofed up.

My experience with Old Republic Home Warranty has been excellent. I heard about them from a realtor who sold us our house, and I've been using their services for two years now. Whenever I've needed to submit a claim, the process has been smooth and easy. I just call their 800 number, and they send someone out to check the issue. I prefer calling rather than using their online system, and I've had no problem reaching a real person to assist me.
The quality of the contractors provided by Old Republic has been nothing short of great. I recently had an air conditioning issue, and the contractor they sent did a wonderful job. I've done most claims, if not all of them, via a phone call, and I had success with every submission process of a claim, thus far. The first issue that we had was with a gas leak with our water heater and Old Republic sent out an individual who did not have a gas meter. He was very kind. It’s just Old Republic was not aware of his lack of equipment for gas-related issues. So, he was unable to verify if his services were indeed resolving the gas leak, which forced us to have to do a recall.
The second individual who was sent out was very unkind and had a bit of a superiority complex. He was unresponsive and belittling. I would not recommend him. He told me that our gas company had a gas detection meter that worked a bit too well and that his repairs were effective and efficient. The gas company just happened to detect stuff that wasn't there. He came back and realized he did not do the job that he said he did. So, he ended up having to repair it.
It was very easy to get in contact with Old Republic as long as it was within the business hours of the customer service line. One of the contractors was pleasant to work with. But the other one took us about three weeks to be able to verify a date on which he was available, and we didn't have hot water for three weeks. I appreciate the responsiveness in which I've got from Old Republic independently and I appreciate their hard work in helping alleviate all concerns that we've had, so far, with the house. However, I would hope that in the future, they do a bit more digging into their contractors because the experience with that second contractor was mediocre at best. I would recommend Old Republic. However, people should be wary of the contractors who are sent out and do their due diligence on making sure that the work was completed in such a way that the contractor said it was and if not, to make sure to go back to Old Republic for a recall.

I recently had an experience with Old Republic Home Protection, dealing with a plumbing issue. We discovered a pipe leak under our sink and in the wall, so I contacted the home warranty service. They responded promptly, sending a plumber quickly, though the first couldn't do leak detection. They arranged for a second plumber that same day who successfully fixed it soon after.
While I was generally satisfied with the process, the repair expenses were frustrating. The plumber created a substantial hole under the kitchen sink and cut through our house stucco. Old Republic’s policy only covered $150 for such repairs, which was far from sufficient. The drywall repair alone cost me $200, and the stucco repair is another $400. It’s puzzling that they offer just $100 for one hole and $50 for additional ones.
We've had Old Republic since buying our house in September, and while their speed surpassed my homeowner's insurance, their coverage for repair costs disappointed me. The reimbursement for repairs feels inadequate and remains my only complaint. Overall, I would rate the experience a 4 out of 5 due to this issue.

The hot water heater got really hot one day, then it just cut off and we had no more hot water the next day. I called Old Republic Home Protection and they tried to get a couple people to come out. But they were tied up. Then, the group they got in Mobile were going to come out but they were going to come out on that day that it snowed really bad down here. So, I told them not to come and that they could come the following day. It took them 10 days to get out here because of the snowstorm and they finally came on the 28th of January.
They looked at the hot water heater and said it was almost new. They opened a little couple of panels inside there and put some switches. They also went outside and put some switches. And it turned on. It was a malfunction in the wiring because they didn't do nothing outside of that. They just did the check with the wire. And now, we got hot water. So, so far, so good.
I also had a claim for my air conditioner last year and the techs who came out did a wonderful job in cleaning the pipes. Other than that, I like like for Old Home to find somebody local instead of getting someone way out of town. The ones that came to fix my heater were from across the bay and that hindered the service time because Baldwin County has tons of air conditioner, heating, and electricians over here.

We've had to file a claim through customer service, and it was a positive experience; it was really easy. We had a clogged drain line in our bathroom, and after calling and explaining the issue, a plumber was sent the same day and solved the problem without any fuss.
If a friend or family member asked, I would recommend Old Republic Home Protection because they offer excellent coverage for a great price and are straightforward to deal with. I've been with Old Republic Home Protection for several years since purchasing my home. During that time, I've experienced recurring issues with my furnace. I was authorized by Old Republic to select my own repair service and chose a company in Toano. However, I could not call on them again because it turned out they do not do business with warranty companies. I went back to Old Republic when it became obvious that, once again, the heating system was failing. We finally found the reason from the outset and we took care of some of it.
Old Republic selected a repair service, but they couldn’t do any work on the drain pipe coming out of the furnace for excess water. The repair guy just told us that the reason why the heating system was not operating properly was because the drain pipe was frozen. My son and I ensured that the drainage pipe was defrosted and working properly, then we covered it in the insulation, and it's been fine.
I am not completely satisfied with Old Republic. I've had a lot of trouble with the heating system and air conditioning in the house and whenever I call them and try to get a repair company, they don't pay any attention whatsoever to where my house is located. Each time they automatically select a company with which they do business that sits in Northern Virginia, outside of Washington, DC. On a good day when traffic was light, that company would take three hours to respond and drive all the way down to providence forge. Overall, I would rate my experience as a 3 out of 5.

I first learned about Old Republic when I purchased my property, as the home warranty was included with the house. I've been protected by Old Republic for around five years now. Whenever I need to submit a claim, the process is straightforward; I typically go through their prompt system and then receive a call back. My most recent claim was regarding my refrigerator. The contractor's service was good, but we're currently waiting for a missing part to complete the job.
If I were to rate Old Republic, I'd give them four stars. We're still waiting for a resolution in this particular case. Normally, claims are resolved the same day unless a part needs to be purchased, as it did this time.
I would definitely recommend having a home warranty from Old Republic to friends or family. It's a lifesaver when things break down. As for customer support, I'd rate it a five, and the pricing a four. Overall, my experience has been positive.

When I purchased my home in 2020, Old Republic Home Protection was included in the paperwork. Recently, I had a plumbing issue with a leak under my sink. The technician arrived quickly, within a couple of days, and replaced a gasket, tightened everything up and ensured it was not leaking anymore. I've consistently had great experiences with the technicians provided by Old Republic, which is why I continue to renew my service with them. Every claim process has been hassle-free with easy claim submissions, although I'm not thrilled about the service fee now being $110. Overall, I would rate them a 4 out of 5, mostly due to the cost. I recently used Old Republic Home Protection for a repair on my sump pump in the basement. The technician did a great job, particularly with communication. While I did have to wait a day or two for a part, it wasn't a long delay, and the overall service was smooth.
However, my first experience with them wasn't as positive. The initial contractor they provided didn't communicate at all. I had to follow up with Old Republic, and they quickly assigned a new technician who was more reliable. Despite needing to initiate the change myself, they were responsive.

Very Dissatisfied. Just moved to a home and wanted to get something simple but no go. Needed a refrigerator replaced. Took them a week to have someone come by and charged me $100 just to take a look at something that I had already done. Took out the bolts to take one look and say, "Yeah I can't do anything. The compressor was no good but I'll file the report. "Took them a week to respond with an email asking me to have my own contractor to fix the problem? Wasted my money on something that was so simple. Thanks for nothing. Just making me spend more money for nothing.

Furnace was repaired twice then finally replaced after two months with no heat during a period where temperatures were between -10 degrees and about 20 degrees. A supervisor admitted that a customer service rep had lied to us on a recorded line. Very very very disappointed in the experience. Since the Ohio contract indicates we cannot canceled. We will not renew our contract upon expiration.

We had a pipe leak that flooded a large part our living room. I contacted Old Republic, via email and had an immediate response. They contacted a plumber, who in turn immediately responded to me. The plumber fixed our problem and within an hour I received an email from Old Republic, that the claim had been settled and closed. I appreciated the speedy response during such an stressful time.

Called for heating repair on 1/25/25. Have not been able to schedule repair. Provider is very busy. He texted on Monday 2/3 that he would get back. It's 2\6\25 and I have not been contacted. Bad service. BAD service if you have to get back to you just to schedule an appointment.

Whenever I call, I usually am on average on the phone for 30 minutes. The vendors usually will schedule well over 1 week for an appointment. I was without a washing machine for over 3 months due to the vendor not being able to fix the problem with 5 multiple visits.

A & J Appliance Repair does a great job, explains what he is doing and what you can do to avoid future problems. He checks with you on your schedule and works around that, texts when he is on the the way and has the parts needed to fix the appliance. I have recommended him to several people.

If I call via phone to submit a claim with Old Republic, it takes quite a bit of time with the hold time and the whole process. The process is much quicker online. The experience is usually the same for each of the claims that we filed. We would call and we would have to follow up just to get the contractor's name and number. They would come out here and typically, they would not complete a job the first time so, they'd come out here and say they have to order a part. The experience has not been nearly as good as our other home warranties.
We had clogged toilets and the plumber basically said, “Sorry, this is the best I can do.” Then, we had leaky faucets and they came and said, “Sorry, I don't have the part. I'm gonna have to order it.” Sometimes the ordering of parts takes weeks. Also, we had a shower that was leaking and could not produce hot water and two different plumbing companies have to come out. We had to get a senior technician because the quality of the technicians was so poor and they replaced the cartridge in the shower three times. They ended up having to cut open the drywall to get a valve replaced.
It's a reputable company, but the service quality isn't as great as some of the others. They could improve their network for the contractors. If they found better contractors that are willing to go the extra mile for Old Republic's customers, then I would be giving much higher ratings. But right now, they show up and they maybe spend like 20 minutes. I'm sure they get some sort of flat rate for these service calls. I don't think that there's a lot of incentive for them to go the extra mile.

Service All repaired the leaking toilet/was able to determine issue immediately which was an overfilled tank. Water level adjusted and no issues since then. Quick response time. Pine Belt also responded quickly and was able to discover issue immediately-a loose wire in the outdoor unit. He had put in the original unit so was familiar with it. It was repaired heat pump immediately with no further issues.

The customer service and choice of providers was good. There is an ongoing issue with my refrigerator door seal that was worked on and disregarded, never resolved. The most disappointing was your company did not renew my policy. I was rejected, likely because I filed legitimate claims. You should be able to file some claims and not risk denial of future insurance. It is unfortunate that your company has done that to me.

Once a service call has been placed and the fees due are paid, there is zero follow-up by Old Republic. It is left up to the customer to contact the repair service providers or Old Republic directly for any type of status update on their claim. Which is very disappointing. Service status updates should be provided and a regular and consistent basis via email or the website. The website could also use a makeover as it seems antiquated and outdated.

I've used Old Republic twice. One issue was the pool pump. They came out within a week and fixed it. It was $100. The other thing was the toilet. They came out again within a week and fixed it. It was $90. The techs who came out were excellent. I'm happy with everything.

I've had Old Republic about four years now. I had it on my last house for three and a half years, and I have it on this house now. I had a water leak a while back and they sent adjusters out and everything worked out fine. We got the water mitigated right away. I don't have any problems at all with Old Republic. All in all, it's nice that I've got coverage. I know that I've got somebody there in case something happens.

I have a home warranty with Old Republic Home Protection, and submitting a claim with them has been a smooth process; I haven't encountered any issues. The technicians they send out do a good job, and the repairs brought things back to normal.
One ongoing concern I have is with my water heater, which is very rusted, though not leaking yet. After I raised this issue, Old Republic sent a mechanic who confirmed it wasn't leaking and thus not eligible for replacement at the moment, which was slightly disappointing as I'm worried it might cause damage if it does start leaking.
Overall, I would rate Old Republic Home Protection's service as excellent since when I had an issue with my air conditioner, they promptly fixed it. I appreciate that the repair personnel have been friendly and reliable. In terms of what they can repair and cover, I would also give them a high rating. I do hope my water heater situation is resolved soon, but otherwise, I've been pleased with their service.

We've been using their service since March, and I've had to deal with them once for a repair issue which was satisfactory overall. I've been a customer with Old Republic Home Protection since the beginning of December. I've already utilized their services, and I reached out by phone. The representative was very helpful, and everything went smoothly. They sent someone out within a couple of days, which was prompt. Although I wasn't personally present during the service, our friend mentioned positive feedback about the service provider.
Since the service, everything has been good, and no further issues have arisen. However, we might need to contact them again for some new concerns. My experience so far merits a top rating. The customer service deserves a high rating as well.
Regarding the warranty coverage, I would rate it slightly lower because we need to check if everything is covered, so for now, it's a four out of five. The only issue we encountered was a $100 fee whenever they visit, which wasn't clear at sign-up. Despite this, the overall price we pay for Old Republic's service is satisfactory.

I have been using Old Republic as my home warranty service ever since I became a homeowner, about 7 years ago. The real estate company I purchased my house through provided the first year of coverage, and I decided to continue with them after that.
Overall, I've been satisfied with their service. They've been efficient in handling most issues that have arisen at my home. However, I have noticed an increase in costs, both in terms of the policy premium and the fee for services when they send someone to my home.
Submission of claims has been straightforward, either online or over the phone. The contractors sent by Old Republic have generally been competent. My only significant issue was with a faulty washer that couldn’t be repaired. Fortunately, Old Republic cashed me out since the appliance wasn’t repairable.
I would rate Old Republic highly.

I received a home warranty from Old Republic when the sellers of our house included it in our purchase agreement. So far, I have been with Old Republic for about seven to eight months since we closed on our home last March.
Generally, submitting a claim is straightforward, and I usually handle it over the phone. It's relatively easy to get connected with a representative. The one time I had an issue, it was resolved when our plug started sparking and smoking unexpectedly. The technician arrived and simply replaced the plug, suggesting the problem might have been due to a lightning strike. He did not leave any paperwork after the service, however.
Overall, I'd rate Old Republic a solid 3 or 4 based on my experience so far.

About five weeks ago, my dishwasher stopped working. A technician came out and mentioned that the issue was due to wires being chewed—possibly by rodents. However, he didn't show me the damage, and I was surprised since the mobile home had sat empty for a year before I bought it about 5-6 months ago and the dishwasher worked fine initially.
After holding for extensive periods, I finally managed to speak with someone at Old Republic. To my dismay, they refused to cover the repair, attributing the damage to rodents, something not clearly stated in the pamphlet. I find this frustrating, especially since I can't confirm this claim without seeing any evidence myself.
Furthermore, reaching them by phone has been an ordeal despite their claims of 24/7 service. They never offered me the option for a second opinion, which I plan to pursue. Until then, I'm left with both non-functioning equipment and potential safety hazards due to exposed wires. The technician screwed it back in. So, I can't get in to see if it's a fire hazard.
I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Old Republic's service and would not recommend it to others. Instead, I would suggest handling repairs independently because, in my case, Old Republic failed to provide the needed support.

Be aware of this company. Twice in the last two years. I've tried to use them. Just to be told I don't have coverage! Last year I upgraded to the highest coverage. Was assured all appliances are covered. They refused to send anyone out saying I don't have that coverage. I've been with them since 2008. In my opinion they're just a money grabbing insurance company. Stay away!

I acquired my Old Republic Home Warranty when I purchased my house in May as it came with the property. My experience with submitting claims hasn't been problematic, but getting repairs done has been quite frustrating. When our AC broke shortly after we moved in, it took Old Republic over a month to replace it. We've also dealt with recurring issues needing multiple visits because repairs weren't done correctly the first time.
Even our heater, which was already due for a replacement, faced several issues. Initially, Old Republic didn't act on the contractor's warnings until it completely broke down. Despite being classified as an emergency amid freezing temperatures, the service was delayed, and the process was burdensome with paperwork and service call fees.
Regarding contractors, we've had mixed experiences—some were professional and knowledgeable, while others were not up to the mark. The constant change in contractors even within short periods is bothersome. For example, we had to deal with different companies for a related issue just weeks apart.
On the positive side, Old Republic's phone service offers direct communication, although navigating automated systems during emergencies can be challenging. The $100 fee for each service call is manageable, but switching contractors frequently is inconvenient.
Overall, if I were to rate Old Republic, it'd be around a 3 out of 5. The customer service could be hit or miss, and the pricing seems reasonable, but there were some issues regarding coverage, specifically with initial AC costs not being well-explained.

My interactions with the service providers have been very satisfying. For example, Mason Plumbing came out quickly when I had an issue with my master bathroom shower. They promptly assessed the problem and scheduled the repair, demonstrating excellent customer service. This efficiency and reliability have been consistent with all the vendors associated with Old Republic.
Having moved from Stillwater to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, I appreciate the peace of mind this insurance offers, and I intend to renew my policy when the time comes. At 82, I've found the service incredibly convenient, given I can't handle repairs like I used to.

I purchased a home, and Old Republic Home was the warranty provider included by the previous owner. Since signing the house on October 28th, I've had to use the warranty service for my heating and air system. Everything worked out fine. However, there was a hiccup with their online service. I attempted to set up a service request online, but when I called in, they had no record of my request. I said, "That's why we call." I could have been waiting till Jesus comes back and they didn't get my request. This experience led me to distrust their online system, and I found speaking directly to a person more reliable. We've called a lot of people and if they have an automated system, I hate it. I talk to a machine that can't understand me and can't help me.
If a friend were to ask about Old Republic Home, I'd tell them everything has been "So far, so good." I would rate my general experience with them 5 stars, but the online service is a disappointment and deserves only 1 star. The customer service interaction I had with them wasn't stellar, probably a 3-star experience. While the service has been effective, improvements in their online and automated service areas would make the experience more seamless.

Old Republic Home Protection was included in our new home purchase in June. I've used the service once for a plumbing issue. There was a spot on a shower wall, and they identified it as a quick shower head replacement. I had to pay a deductible for this service even though I opted to replace the showerhead myself.

When I bought my home six years ago, the previous owners had Old Republic Home Protection. Initially, their rates were reasonable, but now they are three times what I used to pay. However, they are very prompt in sending someone out for repairs, unlike my previous provider, HomeServe. My real estate agent recommended Old Republic Home Protection to me when I purchased a home, and we've been protected by their service since October. I appreciate having the warranty because when buying a home, you're never sure about the condition of the things left by the previous owners. For instance, I had issues with my oven not reaching the desired temperature. Old Republic sent someone to take care of it, and all I had to pay was $100.
To submit a claim, I simply call them to explain the issue. There was an instance where I had low water pressure and insufficient hot water. Initially, I called a plumber myself, but they did not resolve the problem. After contacting the home warranty, their contractors came out and worked on it, ultimately replacing the shower head.
The contractors from Old Republic have been good. They took their time and tried to address the issues correctly. Overall, I'm glad to have Old Republic. My experience has been good and pleasant, and it’s reassuring to have someone to call to check and take care of home issues with minimal out-of-pocket expenses.

Our hot water heater died on a Saturday night. We called Old Republic and they were closed. The service provider was closed as well, and we had water leaking in our basement. I got an emergency plumber and paid them $250 to stop the leak and ensure we at least had cold water, at least. Five days later we had a new hot water heater installed (it was Christmas week so it took longer than expected). I called Old Republic about getting the $250 reimbursed and they said "no" but gave me no reason as to why. I was told a supervisor would call me back and no one called. I also had to pay $350 to get the same brand water heater installed that I had in my basement. They told me it was an upgrade to have the same brand installed. I have been happy with Old Republic in the past, but this was not a good experience.

Every time I call I am on hold for a minimum of 25 minutes before the call is even answered. The first time I called I was transferred 3 times and on the phone for 2 hours. I have been trying to get clarification as to what the warranty company will cover on an extensive plumbing bill and I have been trying to get answers for 1 month. Every time I call I get someone new and have to explain my problem over again. I've sent the quotes from the plumbing company 3 times.

Old Republic customer service is nice, but every time we have something going on we pay $100 just for someone to tell us we have no issue or what they are looking at is not covered under warranty. Not the nicest contractors either beside our last call on our water heater.. He was great.

When we purchased our home, an older property, our purchase agreement included a stipulation for the sellers to provide us with a home warranty, which is how we heard about Old Republic. We've had coverage with them since around 2016 or 2017 and have continued with their service ever since.
I appreciate the comfort of knowing that if a major appliance fails, most things are covered, and I've never had issues with that aspect. However, I've noticed that their service fee has been increasing, although I've heard this is common across the board with such services.
Overall, I would encourage people to consider getting a home warranty. While the terms and policy might not appeal to everyone, I believe having a home warranty is beneficial.

Old Republic Home Warranty came with the purchase of my home and since October, my experience has been wonderful. When I needed to submit a claim, they were very helpful, and they got people out here within a day or two. I typically submit claims over the phone, and it’s very easy to reach an actual person; the hold time is very short.
The most recent claim I had was for an issue with my electrical system. My light's working in the laundry room and my outlet is not working for my washer and dryer. I called them, and they sent an electrician out the same day. The electrician called me, informed me he was on his way, and spent several hours fixing the issue. He was good.
Everything is working fine now, except for a water issue with my washing machine, but I plan to file a claim for that. What I like most about Old Republic is the ease of service, and honestly, I don't think there's anything that needs improvement. Everything is good with them.

I have been a customer with Old Republic Home Protection for a little over a year. I chose them because they were highly rated, and the warranty was purchased when I bought my house. My experience with their service has been positive overall. Whenever I call or go online to make a request, they usually send someone out the next day, which is impressive. The technicians they send are generally good, and I haven't really noticed anything that needs improvement on their part.
I've had some recurring issues, but they are not due to Old Republic. My main problem has been sewer backups, and it's a structural issue with my home – the main sewer line out of the house is too small. Unfortunately, fixing it would be a huge project because I have a concrete slab house. Despite this, Old Republic continues to address the problem without any issues regarding coverage. Overall, I would rate Old Republic a 5.

I’ve had a mostly positive experience with Old Republic. Recently, we had an issue with our dishwasher, and they were quite prompt in addressing it. I called on Monday, and by the first available day, which was today, a contractor came out and fixed it smoothly. My son, who was home during the repair, seemed very pleased with the contractor's service.
While my exposure to Old Republic has been somewhat limited, mainly involving the recent dishwasher repairs, I found the process straightforward. They always directed us efficiently to a repair vendor. Overall, our experience has been pleasant.

In September I had a request and repairman sent for the A/C not working. The technician was unprofessional, took all day ("getting parts"), demanding money, even as far as wanting it sent via Venmo with no proof of repair of receipt. That day I called and spoke with a customer rep and she basically told me that it is what it is and he's not denying repair so deal with it. Her words, "What do you want me to do?" I filed a bad review once after this service and was called twice by a customer representative, who left a message with name, number and extension. I called back both times and left a voicemail and neither returned my call.
Two months later, I filed another service request for the heater not working. This repair technician expressed his concern to me regarding the previous work completed by the prior technician who crushed my exhaust vent, never replaced the broken fan, and most importantly turned off the gas to the unit. The reason the heater wasn't working but in the end cost me another $100 copay.

This home warranty is excellent. It is easy to submit work requests online. Their customer service is out of this world. I don't use this warranty much, but it is there when I need it and feel assured that whatever my issue, it will get resolved. They are also good to work with on appliance issues, and will provide multiple solutions to the problem.

The technician was great. He was on time, very nice, knowledgeable about the unit. He explained the issue, showed me the bad parts, and listed in detail on the invoice the problem and solution. Great company! Scheduling the service call was easy too.

The first locksmith selected by Old Republic Home Protection failed miserably to service us. I informed Old Republic Home Protection and the situation was immediately remedied by giving the order to a locksmith who gave us immediate, professional, and courteous care. We are repeat customers of Old Republic Home Protection because of the excellent service we received at our other home.

Service was completed in a timely manner. Techs were on time, professional and very knowledgeable. They were also very careful with our floors moving the stove. We have used Old Republic for years and will continue to use them. They have always treated us fair with zero issues with contractors or payments.

Was dispatched a repair man who has not fixed the repair although coming twice to the house. When attempting to call the company whose hours are broadcasted as 24/7 when calling is notified that it is out of hours. I am unable get ahold of the company to continue to have my issue worked on.

I recently used Old Republic Home Protection for a repair, and I'm quite pleased with their service. My realtor recommended them, which led me to give them a try. The technicians they sent were excellent; they listened to my concerns and provided clear explanations. The response time was pretty quick—someone was sent out within a day or two. They had to come back a second time due to needing a part replacement, but once that was done, everything has been working perfectly. I'm completely satisfied with their service.
