I priced NewSouth's windows years ago but didn't do anything about it because I was having sticker shocks for about three years. When they offered 40% off, I went to their showroom and found the price to be a little more than what it was three years ago from other companies. I needed to replace a window that was drafty and wouldn't stay open. I spoke to Chad the NewSouth salesroom and went with them. Recently, I called Chad again to ask a few questions and he was very thorough.
My homeowner's association put a little note on my door saying I couldn't have green blinds. I looked at what I got from NewSouth and saw that I didn't realize that my window was tinted. I had to write to them and tell them that the window I got is up to Florida's building code and it's correct for my zone. I then called Chad to make sure that what I said was right. Chad explained why my window has a green tint to it.

New South's windows are very expensive but I'm very happy with them. New South was fantastic, too. When they installed the windows, they even put my Venetian blinds back in for me. They also did a beautiful job of cleaning up. Other than that, I was coming from single-pane windows that were the original windows here in the condo, so I was impressed with the construction of the windows that New South offered. I also liked the fact that they are hurricane-resistant. And I have noticed a difference in the noise value as far as when the windows are open and when they are shut. These windows are a lot more insulating and it’s going to be quieter once I replace the rest of the windows.

Most pleased with both the window quality and installation. Very good appearance from street and excellent heat transfer resistance as previous windows caused living room to overheat and 'kick in' air conditioner frequently.

Getting window replacements is daunting. So many really sketchy companies with disaster reviews etc. We gambled and went with NewSouth, not really know what to expect. The salesperson was nice and informative, like all the others we talked to. The pricing wasn't the lowest, nor the highest. Just something seemed like, "Let's gamble on these guys."
Now, 11 new windows later, we're super happy. The installation was great. The installers were friendly, definitely cared about their work, and did a good job. We had to have them come back for additional caulking along the top of the windows because their original ladder couldn't reach totally. Zero problems with coming back and getting that done quickly.
As a plus, the county inspector who came out was asking me about who did the job. Oddly he didn't seem familiar with NewSouth. I told him they made them and installed and he said that was a really good thing. No responsibility arguments later if something went 'south' (no pun intended). Then he said that they were really good windows and was comparing them to Renewal by Andersen. So, knowing Andersen was 1/3 higher....bonus. I'm assuming he knew what he was talking about considering his job. All in all. Nice looking windows; they operate easily, the installation was great; followup was great; pretty much everything was WAY more than we were gambling on. Maybe we should have gone to Vegas and placed a huge bet there considering the big win on the windows. So...yeah...I'd chalk this up to a good review.

I like that NewSouth builds and installs the window. My experience with the other window was somebody built it and somebody else installed it, and that kinda led to problems. NewSouth's sales team got here real quick, looked at everything and had some good suggestions about how we should approach the project. They were good. I got 4 big picture windows and a matching set above them but they have sliders in them. I like the windows a lot. They're great. The installation guys were excellent too. It took them 2 days to do the installation. It's kind of a unique project. It's a big opening that they put it into and there were some structural issues with the building that they had to take into account. They did a real good job of figuring out what needed exactly to be done to get them to fit correctly.

Recently had the windows replaced in our home with New South Windows. The factory direct process was what initially drove me to this company, as well the factory was only minutes from my home. The sales pitch and product review were very informative and hassle free, the product really sells itself. The quality of their window frames and glass defiantly impressed me right from the start. The production and delivery of the windows was completed ahead of schedule, much to my surprise – how often does that happen. The installation crew did an excellent job completing the 10 window R&R in one day. They did a pretty good job protecting the floors and furniture with drop cloths and cleaned up the area as they went.
My only worry was when they had to remove some stucco work from two eyebrow windows in order to remove the old frames. However, the stucco was replaced the following day so no harm done. I had hoped NS would cover the painting of the stucco, but was not covered in the contract. New South took care of pulling the building permit and scheduling of the code inspector as part of their process. We are very please with our new windows and would recommend New South to anyone in the market for windows and doors. My only ding with this window company is; there was no company rep come by during installation to ensure company standards were being followed and that customer satisfaction was ensured.

I had the last two windows in my home installed and had a terrific experience, just as I have in the past. What is great about New South is I did my home over 4 different installments. My windows are consistent quality. The installers were equally as good each time. I have cut my utility bill by 25% to 30%. My biggest savings happens during the warmest months of the year! That's big in Florida!

NewSouth was recommended by a neighbor and the salesman was very informative. He had a nice presentation. We talked to some other company about getting some windows through them but when the salesman from NewSouth came to our home and showed us his nice presentation about the windows, it sold us on it. When you see why you have to pay this much money, it makes sense but when somebody just sends you an email and gives you the price, it’s a tough pill to swallow. We got blown off by them and if you want them there, there they are. We just moved to Florida and it was all new to us. He did a good job and we're very happy with the impact windows that we got.
The installers were very professional and polite. They came in, did their job, cleaned up and left. One of the things that we hadn't expected was the amount of noise that the windows cut out. To the back of our place, there's a little creek and then there's a street. Then there's another condo complex and then, a major highway. Every now and then, we get a little bit of traffic noise off of the highway over there, and we don't hear that anymore. So, it's a little bit of a bonus. We've only had them a month but so far, so good.

We already looked into another company and then we went down to see NewSouth’s window. We were very impressed with the quality of the product. It was a little bit heavier than the other ones we did and they had a nice incentive going on at that time, which was one extra window. What they usually do right now is pay for two and get three but we got just a one-day type of promotion. Sony, the rep, was very informative, helpful and cooperative. He knew his stuff and knew the competition so he knew what he was talking about.
I love the windows. You can tell that there’s a tint to them, so they have UV protection. We’re maybe a mile from the Interstate Highway, so in the morning with the rush hour traffic, you do get some noise. With these windows, you get no noise. It’s a new construction home and we didn’t do the hurricane windows because we wanna do them aftermarket. So, we lived here for a couple of months before we had these installed and I can tell the difference in the sound quality. We had one glitch during the installation but it wasn’t the installation team’s problem. We needed bronze windows and they manufactured white windows, so they had to go back and redo them. When the installation team came in, they were tremendous. We gave NewSouth Windows a recommendation that this is a very good team. They were two guys who did a very professional job and were very meticulous on clean-up. Overall, it's been a good experience and I have no complaints.

When I had the salesman come out, he brought me cut-away sections of their window. We went over the warranty-guaranty. I like the fact that it was by direct, with no middleman. I talked to people who bought windows through a middleman and if there was something wrong with the window, everyone points the finger at the other guy. But when I’m dealing direct with NewSouth and if I got a failure in one of the windows, they would come out, take a look at it, and they’d order the part. They would do everything they say. The installation was great. I’ve been very happy with them. They've done all my windows and some of my doors. They did a great job. I have three more windows to do and they’re gonna be the people I’d call for those.

This company is top notch. The sales team are most informative and pleasant. I only got 2 sliding doors, but was treated like I was buying a whole house full. They kept me informed as to how my order was progressing in their factory which was reassuring to me. (I’ve worked with other companies that didn’t and had to reach out to them.) Installation was wonderful. I now have beautiful sliding doors that offer more security and do not sweat when it’s hot outside and the AC is on. The crew was respectful of my home and covered furniture to keep any dust off them. They did a great job cleaning up too. I called the office for help with filling out the rebate with TECO and they were great. It was a pleasure working with all of them and I will use them again for all subsequent window replacements.

I looked at a lot of windows and, at the showroom, NewSouth had the best constructed windows because they had cutaways and this, that, and the other thing. Some of the others did, but these were thicker. There were different thickness of glass and all kinds of things. After seeing them, compared to the other ones, it was pretty obvious who was better. We purchased 12 windows and a door, which is wonderful. The products' quality is great. We love it all. We couldn’t be more thrilled. Also, the installers did a good job of cleaning up and they didn’t tear things up too badly. The sales team seemed to be knowledgeable and fair, too. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I purchased windows from NewSouth. The salesman was okay and good. They were doing anything they could to make sure that I got the windows right then. However, they gotta come back and replace one of my windows because it wasn’t put properly. The installers finished late at night. They left the tempered glass, and then outside it, they had to wait and pick up when they come back to do the final thing, putting the buttons on. And then there was crap on the other side of the house where they took the old windows out, and the old caulking and everything popped out of the windows. It’s just little nitpicky stuff, but it looked bad and we didn't see it. We told them everything looked good ‘cause I couldn't see it. And then the next day we’d seen it. But they're good-quality windows.

We got the thermopane with a grid, there are two huge windows in the sunroom and then we got the new door, which is great. It even has a handicapped handle on it. So far, we’ve been very pleased with the workmanship. The young men that came were so efficient and skilled, and they cleaned up after themselves. The only thing was that when the girl called to say when they were coming, she said, “You have to move everything away from the windows, 3 feet.” My husband got upset. I hurt my back doing this. It would have been a better selling point if they would be willing to move them. With all of those muscular guys, it wouldn’t have taken them long. Still, they were very skilled. Even the gentleman that came after it was finished was great too. We were pleased with the whole thing and it has made a difference. It's like we don’t hear the train and sometimes, not even the airplanes. It seemed to immediately make the house more cozy.

I got NewSouth to do my house windows and then through Hurricane Irma, I sat in my lounge chair in my living room all night long. I could see the trees moving, but I heard nothing even the rain. It was plastered against the windows. After the hurricane, I sent them an email. My neighbor and I both got windows couple of years ago and we discussed. Then I called back NewSouth so they'd do my garage windows 'cause I wanted all of them to be alike.
The sales rep I spoke with was not as nice as the guy I had the first time. He was a little snippy, but that's all right. The only thing that worried me was that I was told my house windows were hurricane-safe windows. But the new salesman said, "Oh no, you have non-impact windows. They're not that." Well, I sat through a hurricane already, so they are, but I was a little upset with him 'cause he scared me. I thought I paid for windows that were not as good. I just wasn't happy with the salesman. But I only needed to order the windows from him and I already knew what I wanted. He didn't even have to come and sell anything since he just wrote up the contract.
Then, the installer who came to put the windows together was really nice. He had a helper with him and the helper was relatively new. But they cleaned up spickly sparkly. I already have my house windows down and I love it. NewSouth did a wonderful job.

A recent bad experience with the NewSouth warranty team prompted Me to write this review after seeing a bunch of ads on tv. Don’t be fooled by their claim of “made in Fl for Fl”. We moved to FL and our house needed some new windows. We saw their ads and decided to give them a try. This was over two years ago. Our experience has been nothing short of horrible with this company and their product. We purchased 9 windows, waited several months for them to be made, the installer showed up and had damaged the windows during loading and transport. I sent him away and they had the windows remade. The second installer was amazing and I thought we were finally good to go. About 6 months later the first of 8 windows had the seal fail and the pane fog. We have replaced all but one sash, several more than once. So much for the “made for Fl” claim. These windows seem to be poorly made.
I will say they respond quickly when we call for a warranty claim but even then it takes 3 months to get a replacement window installed and on several occasions the repairman arrived with the wrong size windows. Talk about the gang that can’t shoot straight! A neighbor recently asked me about NewSouth after seeing the repair van in front of my house. I told him what I am telling you, I can not recommend this company for the reasons mentioned above. After spending thousands of dollars I am stuck with windows that can’t seem to last more than 6 months without failing. Consider your options carefully.

I love my new windows and doors. The crew was good and the foreman on the crew was superb. He had a lot of attention to detail, and he followed up and made sure his crew did the right thing. Sometimes they needed to have some adjustments and corrections and he made sure that’ll happen. I purchased windows for my home and waited three months to get them in. The company screwed up the measurements on the main picture window. Their mistake. I waited another three months for the fix. My home sat with no window treatments and unfinished windows throughout because the final inspection could not be done. After the second wait, the company showed up and, once again had screwed up the window build (opened wrong direction). Throughout my six month wait they only spoke to me if I called. And they took very little responsibility and offered no good solution or even a discount for our trouble. I currently sit unsatisfied with an incomplete job in December - when the install should have been done in August. I would not recommend a company when they treat their customers so poorly.
Mr. Darroch, we would like to apologize for the delays caused by the mismeasurement of your windows. Unfortunately, window measurement isn't an exact science and from time to time our method proves incorrect. But rather than trying to make an incorrectly sized window work, we'd rather try again and get it right. Again, we are sorry for any frustration the delays have caused. We understand that our service team has been out and completed your project. We do hope you are enjoying the performance of your new windows and will strive to do better in our service should you need to take advantage of your lifetime warranty at any point in the future. NewSouth Window Solutions of Bonita Springs are great people to work with. Gary the factory representative came to our home; he was prompt and knowledgeable. Gary spent a lot of time explaining and showing us the window quality etc. Paul the production manager measured and assessed everything. Again, very prompt and polite. The windows arrived about the time Paul had estimated for us.
The full house of windows were installed in one day as promised. Installers Valdemar and helper were prompt, polite, and very exacting. When they were finished, they cleaned up everything including washing the windows. All glass and debris were removed, and they were very careful to protect our property. Paul stopped by several times to make sure things were going well and to answer questions. Not only do the windows look great, our house is very quiet and much cooler. No more hot sun beating in, plus we are ready for hurricanes the rest of our lives, no more shutters.

NewSouth Window Solutions was the window made in Florida. That was my main concern, that it was something that was locally made and the fact that it was Tampa, even closer, it was the selling point for me. The sales rep, Jacob, did a great job. He explained everything and demonstrated what we were getting, so we felt like we got what we bought. We got the hurricane impact windows with the open prairie design, so mostly they’re single hung. The fact that we were able to do projects in stages was also a big plus because it’s hard to do everything all at once. It’s a little cost-prohibitive. We knew what was priority for us. We had a good idea. We do want to get all the windows done and he was able to work with us.
The installation was a lot quicker than I expected. Everything went okay. We knew that there was some really wonky things with one of the rooms, especially that we weren’t sure how things would go, but they were able to work around any problems that the actual building had. I’m really happy with the quality. It did what we were expecting. It hardly lets any heat in and it’s sound-proof. We started in our bedroom so we can have quieter bedrooms. We actually had to get used to it. We’re really happy.

I had NewSouth in to do their demo with others. I felt like they had the best product. I had them do 10 windows and a couple of over-arches over windows. One big, one small. However, there was very little communication. One of the windows didn’t fit in right so they epoxied it in until they could get a new one made. They installed on the 3rd of September. And they had to have a new one made and today, I still don’t have a window.
The communication is like I don’t even exist. My salesperson called up and flapped his arms a little bit with a little blustery, “I’m gonna do this. I’m gonna do that.” Nothing really happened until I sent a letter. The president of the company said he’s getting right on it. And I’ve had two e-mails from the regional person today. But the installation was all wonderful. The workers were courteous and cleaned up everything. All but one time out of three, they were there when they said they were gonna be there, and they were trustworthy and dependable. I love the windows, but people should not pay in full until the job is complete.

Everyone was cooperative and helpful. I had a little question on the sliding glass door and I called them, the service department came out within a reasonable time frame and corrected the situation on the screen door at the sliding glass door and perfected that. So, I called back NewSouth's office and I told them, “You know, you buy a new car and it doesn’t come with dirty windows.” And the cost of the windows was almost the same as a new car. I don't usually like salesmen but John from NewSouth was pretty decent and he knew his product. That was the biggest thing. I purchased the eVantage from NewSouth because of the quality. Like most craftsmen, tradesmen, the quality of installation is never what you will expect if you do it yourself. There are always things that can be done better. That being said, the installation done by NewSouth wasn't a terrible job. Two things that I called them on, they don't use shims between the window and the wall. They just put a screw through and tightened it up. They claimed that the frame was so strong, it didn't need shims. I said I didn't know about that. So I disagreed with them on that.
Number two, I constantly had to be on them about putting spray foam on the gap between the window and the wall to seal air leakage. They said they don't do that. And I kept saying they were gonna do it here. I ended up buying them a can of spray foam. But I thought NewSouth Window had the best quality windows on the ones that I looked at and I have recommended them to several neighbors.

So, I would rather go with somebody that does everything, and NewSouth manufactures and guarantees the install. I bought the hurricane windows and the salesman came out, and laid out and showed me everything. He explained things and how extra thick the windows were because of the strength that's blowing on the glass, and you get protection from UV. NewSouth has a good product and great salespeople. The ordering and delivery process went very well. They arrived to install on schedule - but from there it went “south” so to speak. There were installation issues which we pointed out to the installers. They assured us that service personnel would be sent out to address the issues. A service person came and agreed with the our issues and stated that they would tell us how they would solve the problems. That was our last communication with the company - no more contact could be established. We had to solve our issues by hiring a private contractor to complete the work. I don't recommend this company. Anyone can make mistakes - it is how they address the issues that count - this company failed at that!!

I had 11 windows put in my house and 14 windows put in my business right next door. The windows are fine and comparably, they were average-priced. So it was an average deal with the one install being great and one install being horrible. One crew was more professional than the other. One was messy. I came out of the house and I saw all the stuff laying there. They also broke the window of my car but they wouldn’t own up to it. They did buy me a window though. On the other hand, the crew that came to my office put little things on their feet when they came in the building and cleaned up. I couldn’t tell they had been there except that the windows were installed. It was night and day. NewSouth doesn’t have enough crew to go around so try to get information on who your installers would be. They subcontract the job out and you just have to do legwork on that.

We had some neighbors who had some windows put in and they were very satisfied with NewSouth. So I decided to go with them. I replaced all the windows in the house and purchased about 20 windows. As far as the windows and the labor that was put into it, I’m satisfied. However, they need a lot more communication among the person who sells you the product, the person who does the installation and the person at the warehouse. Overall, there was no communication.
The salesperson said that because I have an upstairs, they would have a lift to get up there to put the windows in. They didn’t have it. They had to walk on the roof and it was a metal roof. Then the installers said that the people would come out, put the plugs in the windows after the inspection and clean the windows. That didn’t happen either. In fact, I’m still waiting on the windows to be cleaned. The salesperson and I also discussed about the frosted glass but that didn’t happen. On top of those, a screen window upstairs is a little shorter than what it should be. You can see through it and they were gonna order another one but that hasn’t happened yet. The windows were installed in June and the timeframe they gave me to deal with these issues is the end of August. But I haven't heard anything back. I even sent an email requesting the email of the president of the company but I haven’t received a response back from that either.

We purchased hurricane rated windows for our entire house in January 2018 at a cost of $28,000. The windows were finally installed in June 2018 after much prodding on our part. We have had nothing but problems and can get no answers from the company. One window was broken upon installation and had to be re-ordered. After a very long delay the window was finally replaced. Another window was found to have a scratch on the inside between the two pieces of glass. They agreed to replace it. It took 5 months to get that replaced and then the installer got the new window all installed and said there was a scratch on the new window. It had to be reordered. Nothing comes in when they say it will. My big window in the family room has spots all over glass between the two layers. They came out and said the window had failed and it would be replaced. That was months ago.
Today I called and the girl said that the window was supposed to be in this past May and it is now the end of July. I find it unforgivable that it is almost 3 months overdue and no one even thought to look into it until I called. Anytime I call to check on something I'm told they can't get the factory to answer. What???? It's their own factory. Two people that I have dealt with Randy and Mirandy have both been extremely rude. The only person who was helpful and got things done was Marcos but today I'm told that he no longer works there. We also referred NewSouth Windows to my brother in law who replaced all the windows in his house. We were told that we would receive a $100 check for any referrals. He has had his windows for at least 2 months and we have not received a check. When I called today, they said they would send a check out at the end of this month. Probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't called. I'll believe the check when I see it.
I am so disappointed in this company and will never recommend them again. We chose them because they had a good product and a good reputation. Their estimate was more than the other two companies we got bids from but we felt it was worth it. Sadly, this is not the case. I have asked to speak to the President, Tim Nagle only to be told that he is not in the office whenever I call. I have left my number to see if he will call me. I'm not counting on it. MY RECOMMENDATION....LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR NEW WINDOWS. They say they are the fastest growing window company...maybe they should slow down and get things under control and take care of the customers they have.
We would like to apologize for any frustration you’ve experienced due to the delay in completing your service; it is the last thing we want for our customers. We had appointments with three window people. The first person that was scheduled was this salesman that came out from NewSouth Window and he did a really good job. He seemed very aboveboard, straight, and very proud of the company that he works for. He kinda made us feel like we really didn't have to look any further. We didn’t even get prices from anybody else. One of the big things that we liked was that the factory is here in Florida and it is owned and operated for the people. The salesman explained the difference with HPG. There was also the fact that the windows are made here but they’re subcontracted. Anybody could go and buy them, but the company makes and stands for their own, so if we should ever have a problem, NewSouth would be there to take care of us.
I’m very happy with the items I got. I wish we didn’t have to have the brown on the outside because I don’t think that’s as nice as it could be. But I understand. It has to be coded. Also, the young man that was in charge of the installation was meticulous. He was right down to every little drop of puck. He was very good and careful. The two young men that were there helping him were okay. They were learning, but he oversaw everything they did. I would recommend NewSouth.

NewSouth seemed to be a little thicker than the rest of the ones that are on the market. I did the whole front of my house, I got a bay window in the front and then I had two bedroom windows. The installation team did a fantastic job. The window quality is great and it cuts a lot of noise down. I live on a corner of a heavily traveled street so I could hear the noise of the cars, and now I don’t hear it. I recommend NewSouth to the neighbors around the street here, and I still have their sign in my front yard.

I believe that since you are in Florida and I am in Florida... the time it took could and and should have been less. I am satisfied with the product and the one day installation. There were some post installation issues that were resolved quickly... but I think some improvement could be made in that area as well.

As the summary says, the doors/windows manufactured by New South Window are extremely high quality. BUT, the installation of the extremely expensive pocket doors and the two other exterior doors were installed totally unprofessionally/sloppy/lazy). New South Windows used 'FLORIDA CONTRACTORS' to install their products (not their own employees). Good products installed poorly makes for an overall poor quality job (for the highest priced company). I would never recommend New South Windows to anyone and I'm totally dissatisfied with the job.
Florida contractors are awful. Two of New South Window techs came and fixed a few small issues with the windows and two windows need to be replaced because of small defects (not a big deal) and the techs took pictures of the pocket door and exterior door installs over a month ago and we've not heard back at all from this company about the doors (we were warned by the techs that the replacement of the windows will take a very long time). Use 'the other window company' in our area because they use their own employees to do the install.

I would never recommend NewSouth Window Solutions to anybody. I’m going to tell everybody in the neighborhood how horrible of an experience it was. It was a gimmick. The salesman was a gimmick. The one guy that I talked to, Bob, said he’s been trying to get them all on the same page. I felt so sorry for the last guy that had to try to come up and clean up after their installers. He was absolutely worthless. And I don’t even know why you subcontracted somebody when on my contract said you weren’t supposed to do that.
I was really upset because when the installers were leaving, they were showing me how all the windows operated. And the young lady who was petite like me was showing me how heavy the sliding glass door was. And I had to be very careful and hold it with both arms and pull on it. Then they tore my screen lanai, which later on, come to find out, they were the ones that was supposed to fix it but instead, they pawned it off on to someone else. So, by the time they kept sending it down to the next person, the installers left it all up to this one poor guy that’s not really even with the company. He was bewildered. He said he does not know how to repair screen lanais. He tried to put the white caps on my brown sliding doors, and I was disappointed because it was like garbage. And I started to notice that the brown on my sliding glass door was starting to already turn white, and it was worse than my original sliding glass door.
So, I complained and they sent another installer out. And the first thing that he said was there was no way that that should have been happening at the door, that they lied to me and they had put it in too tight and it was going to get worse. It was off the tracks. He said for right now, he would put a buffer. So, the girl lied to me. She was trying to fake me out that it’s heavy when the guy who put the buffer in there was like slamming back and forth like a normal one. But he told me it wasn’t gonna last for very long and that it needed to be completely redone. So now, that really pisses me off. They were also horrible about cleaning up. They left their footprints, dirt, black hand marks everywhere and all over my chair. They didn’t even clean their own handprints on the glass. Nobody has ever tried to get this sticker plastic glue off the windows. I’m still, to this day, trying to clean my floors and get all that white powder that they used.
They ruined my white carpet, too. And the salesman was so full of garbage. He said, “Oh, it’s the white-glove treatment. If they break anything, if they do anything, they’ll replace it.” They didn’t replace my white carpet. They didn’t bother to clean up after themselves. There was no white glove treatment. They didn’t even bother to clean the windows. If I wouldn’t have put tarps down in my bathtub, they would have just been standing in my bathtub where I soak with their dirty, filthy feet and tennis shoes.
Everybody in the complex told me I paid $5,000 way too much and the only excuse I gave was because NewSouth was supposed to give me such great white-glove treatment, and they were gonna protect my couch and everything. They left a huge mess in the cement and all around the doors. Another friend said they didn’t even install the front door correctly. It’s completely unsafe. It is put in backwards to where it’s very easy to be busted in when I was reassured over and over about how safe I was gonna be with the front doors.
I had to turn around and hire another company to come and fix all the damage that they did to the outside of the complex, which has just been completely brand new painted. The guy told me they were not gonna have to do anything to repaint the front door. I’m extremely upset. I hope that when they come and install this second glass door, they will clean up the garbage and all that black stuff that they left all over the white molding on the door. They stepped on it with their dirty shoes. The caulking is messed up. There’s caulking all over my marble white floors. I want them to get the caulking off the freaking marble floors. I want the caulking around the sliding glass doors fixed, and all the dirt, mud, their black finger prints and all that garbage wiped off and cleaned.

The installation of the windows went very smooth. It was great to see the process of the replacements being installed. With the old windows and sliding doors we could stand by them and get toasted by the sun. In my office I had to keep the blinds tilted almost shut to keep the sun and heat out. I was roasting in there! Then the new windows and sliding doors were installed. Wonderful. I can keep my blinds open and I don't feel any of the heat and the brightness of the sunny is less also. We have a road in back of us and we could always hear the traffic. Sometimes at night a loud vehicle would wake us. Not now! There is one problem though... I can't hear when the mail truck comes. Oh well I'll put up with it. Awesome job!!!

And that was after they opened up the new factory. That worked out really good.

BUYER BEWARE!! I do NOT recommend New South based on a horrible experience, lack of follow-up, and insulting resolution. I selected New South to replace 7 windows, sliding glass doors and French doors. HUGE project. We selected them because we were told of the custom/quality of windows as well as all the workers were New South employees, not subcontracted work. Turns out we were deceived. The windows were supposed to be installed in March but that didn’t happen until the end of April. The workers were subcontractors. Two guys, one didn’t even speak English making it very difficult to communicate my needs. These guys left my house a MESS!
The sliding glass door was not the correct measurement and he cut my drywall and framing less than a foot away from my microfiber sofa with NO covering. Dust was everywhere!! Then to make matters worse, they dropped a window in my living room sending glass on pool deck and literally throughout the home. I even found glass in bath mats as well as the side of the toilet. With a small dog, glass is UNACCEPTABLE. They broke 2 glass frames and didn’t even complete the job well.
Upon my first complaint they sent Robert ** to adjust things a couple days later. He cleaned up dangerous debris left throughout the back and front yard, took off stickers, fixed some incorrect inserted screws, cleaned the windows. I cleaned my house for hours (almost 2000 sq ft sweeping glass, wiping glass tables, sectional sofa), drained/cleaned my pool. After that I spoke to the manager Randy **. He said, "We fixed the issues right?" I said, "Yes. After I cleaned up already". He refused to offer me compensation for the cleaning and damage. Sales guy, Rick **, said he would take care of it (he didn’t), and weeks later and multiple follow up calls, they said, "Take this $100 gift card," and that’s that. Do NOT use their service if you do not want to clean up your house for hours. They used subcontractors that did not take care of my property. This was not worth the $15k spent. Use another company.

I had most of my windows installed 03/25/2019. Found some shoddy workmanship, warped sash on one window and between the glass some sort of etching on another. (How did it passed quality control?) Another picture window was damage putting it onto the truck for delivery, apparently the forklift driver damaged it. Damage to a bathtub and to stucco and paint was also found.
On 04/21/2019 we received a replacement window from the fork lift incident, but no replacement for the shoddy workmanship. They say they are at the mercy of the factory and we would have to wait till they make the replacements. I was told that they would order a county inspection while waiting for the replacement windows. Still waiting! So we have molding parts waiting to be installed and inspection stickers all over my windows waiting for the inspection and final installation. By the way I'm writing this on 05/28/2019. Still waiting. So if this is what you want to deal with ORDER THEM from New South.

I have a large house requiring about 3 phases of window replacement. I used NewSouth for Phase 1 and 2. Phase 1 consisting of replacement of 3 bedroom windows, 4 bonus room windows, and a triple French door. No issues and liked their service so I decided to move forward with them for Phase 2 - a double French door, 2 large windows, and 2 large 1/2 circle top windows. In January 2019 they installed Phase 2 - FAIL. They installed a broken circle top window - cracks in 2 places - and told me it came off the truck that way. 1) that means NOBODY at the receiving warehouse performed quality control before delivery to the customer. Secondly, they had to install it anyway (as my old window is now gone) with promises they would replace it with a new window ASAP.
It's now May 11, 2019 and after multiple emails and phone calls, I have had no resolution. NewSouth doesn't care at ALL about repeat customers as you would think they would ensure they get phase 3 of my business - 6 window replacements and a third large French door. apparently not. So, I'm left with little choice I have to pursue action against them. They've demonstrated they have ZERO intention of providing me with the material I paid for. You have to wonder if they're close to bankruptcy and are waiting everyone out. Also noted, is that they don't respond to ANY negative reviews on this page. Fairly indicative of their low level of customer service. I guess I'll see them in court, unless by some miracle I get a window this month.
We apologize for the frustration that you experienced due to the delay in your service. We do understand the team has connected with you since and has completed the replacement of the broken window. Horrible Experience!!! I had an appointment with NewSouth Windows on a Saturday morning. I met the salesman, Rick ** at my gate. He stood there staring at me behind his sunglasses while in the shade. No greeting and he did not look happy. I greeted him and asked him how long did it take him to get to my home. He responded an hour and a half...with attitude. I requested we can make this quick, so go ahead and measure and call me with a quote. He stated he came to do a full sales presentation which will take 90 minutes. I responded, "No need as I am VERY familiar with your product and will be installing 22 windows asap." He gave me attitude and I stated I did not need he coming into my home and requested he leave. I could go on but you get the point.
Thank you for the feedback, and we apologize for any misunderstanding. Since we manufacture our own windows, it’s important to us to have time with the homeowner to show the glass, the way the window is built, the quality that will be in your home as we discuss the lifetime warranty. My husband, Roland **, wrote an honest review, recently, about NewSouth Windows and your management team. He gave a 1 star rating on the service your company provided for us. I will give it a zero rating. The anxiety and worry that we went through was terrible. You insist on putting the blame on us. When you continually refused to take our calls or return them, what are we supposed to do. You would not call us for a week at a time. We were in a race with the owners of the new home, on confirming the contract on the new house. We had 10 days.
I sat by the phone and stayed at home waiting for a call from Mr. **. 9 days later, we finally had to drive to Mr. ** office, he met us in the waiting room and tried to say what he wanted, with other people around. My husband asked to go in his office to talk in privacy. He gave no real excuse for not calling us back. This is the day before we had to give an answer on whether to accept the offer on the contract of the new house. When asked if we could change our contract with NewSouth Windows, and to put the windows to the new home instead, Mr. ** said no. That the windows were already in the "system". We asked what that meant and he just said "that they were in the system." Does that mean they were already made?
All he would say is that they were in the system. He then told us that the company was not making much profit on the deal. We offered to pay the 13% profit, that Mr. ** said the company would make on our contract, to let us out of the contract. He refused. We knew that we were stuck. There was no way out. However, before we left his office, we again asked if the windows were made or not, Mr. ** finally said that the windows were not made yet. So if you ask why we gave them these reviews, Maybe, after we stopped paying $500.00 a month, for windows that were installed in somebody else's house, and still paying till this coming November!
Maybe, then, I can say how bitter we are. It seems to me that people that try to do things the right way, are continually getting the short end of the stick. We worked for every cent we got. Thanks NewSouth Windows! Especially you Mr. **. I hope you enjoy the 13% you made on us. Again, this is about as honest as I can get! Thanks to the people that respond, I just don't want other people to go through what we did. By the way, NewSouth Windows are still trying to blame us, after my husband's last review.

I have signed a contract almost a year ago for almost all the windows to our home. The sales pitch was wonderful so my husband and I agreed to have our windows replaced by this company. We signed up with a financial company for the payments. This investment is huge and expensive for us. They took several months to manufacture the windows, we were patient. Unfortunately there were problems after the installation. Several windows have scratches, one window was totally wrong (obscure instead of clear), and one eventually cracked (it leaks water in between the glass now since it's been raining). Several attempts have been made to replace them. But for some reason, each time the installer comes, the windows are either wrong or not the right size. And it takes several months in between before they could come back for the installation, that is if they have the right windows.
I have read the glorious reviews of other customers and they could have their windows right away and with no other problems, now I feel like we are being totally disregarded as a "valued customer" because of the unfortunate events we are having. All we wanted is this thing to end, get our windows as we had been promised and avoid the aggravation. As of now I would not recommend this company at all. The way the company is handling our business has been so upsetting to say the least. I presume customer satisfaction was the least of their concern especially when it came to us.
We would like to apologize for any frustration you experienced during your installation, this is the last thing we want for our customers. We have a high standard protocol for installing our windows and your project should not have been the exception. We do see from your records that our Market President, Rich Groff, has reached out to address your concerns and our service department has completed your project to your satisfaction. Remember, this is part of New South Window Solutions mission statement. "UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION". This is the farthest statement from the truth. We signed a contract to have 8 impact windows installed in our home. We gave the required 10% down and balance upon installation of the windows. We were advised that the windows could not be installed for 12 to 14 weeks due to work back up and the consolidation of manufacturing plants.
About 2 weeks after signing the contract to purchase the windows a house that we had always loved came up for sale. We entered a purchase agreement with the owners of that house subject to being able to come to an agreement with New South Windows within 10 days. We contacted the salesman immediately and advised him and he said that he would forward the info to his district manager in Sarasota. Remember, we had 10 days per our contract with the homeowners to come to an agreement with New South Windows which was explained to the sales rep.
Well 9 days went by with not a word from the district manager so my wife and I went to the manager's office. We met with the district manager for almost 1 hour and got absolutely nowhere. He was rude, uncooperative and very unprofessional. We offered to give them our $890. deposit just to be able to void the window contract. Per the district manager the windows had not been built yet and were not going to be built for at least another month.
We went so far as to offer to have the windows installed at the new house. All that would need to be done is have the windows remeasured at the new home. It was all a failure. So if you read their mission statement of "UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION" do not for one minute believe it. They are in business to make money and when it suites them satisfy the customer. I am a senior citizen approaching my 70th birthday and have had many business dealings along the way but I have never had such a bad business experience in my life. Sorry I was not able to give them "Zero" stars rating or I would have.
Mr. Charbonneau, First, we want to apologize for any miscommunication there may have been. According to our records, the request to cancel your contract was made almost a month after it was signed and we did agree to the cancellation, despite your cancellation period having passed. After reaching that agreement, you requested that we reinstate the contract, but instead manufacture and install the windows for your anticipated new address. After agreeing to this, your plans to purchase a new home changed/were delayed and requested that we revert to the original contract and to install the windows at your, at the time, current residence. Once again, we agreed to this. After some time had passed, your plans changed once again and you requested that your contract be cancelled as you would in fact be moving to a new home. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet this request, as we had already made three adjustments to your contract and almost two months had passed since your original contract was signed. We do apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We understand that your windows were installed into the home originally contracted for and that the new windows were not only a selling point in your online listings but also that the new homeowners are pleased with the them. Again, we are sorry for any frustration you experienced, but hope that you see our efforts to be flexible. We wish you the best and hope you are enjoying your dream home.

We replaced all windows of the whole house with NewSouth Windows, and we were very pleased with the quality. The sales people were fine and the installers were efficient and worked well but the screens weren't ordered. It took six weeks to get all the screens and stuff put in. My husband called them. They were courteous and they were fine about it. They weren't nasty. But it was really a hassle to get them all completed.
Mrs. Rex, We appreciate you taking the time to voice the concerns you had with your project. I did an internet search and looked for quality windows. I liked the fact that NewSouth Window Solutions was designed and made for Florida, and built in Florida. I purchased 11 windows total from them. There were three double-hung, two single-hung and the rest were horizontal sliders. I also purchased one French door and two entry doors, and their reps were fantastic.
The installation team was wonderful. Anyone can do new construction but since it’s an old house, working in a preexisting home takes a bit of decision and a bit of troubleshooting and they were seamless. The installation took three days because of the number of windows to be installed. And the biggest thing was the large, double-hung windows in the sink. The first day, they spent two thirds of their time just working on my large front window because that went to three large double-hungs. And to get them precise, there was a bit of coaxing and cajoling, and they did a fabulous job. The doors are like solid construction that I haven’t seen since my farmhouse had a solid walnut door built in 1862 that are solid as a rock. Overall, I was totally impressed with the scheduling, the permitting, the willingness to answer questions, the willingness to come out and tweak things.

I can't speak for the experience others have had, but I'm very satisfied with the work this company did for me. 2 sliding glass doors and a bathroom window. They did a very nice job. Yes, there were things that needed correction, but they promptly attended to all the problems brought to their attention. The product was delivered in the specified time frame, and once complete the inspection was passed within a week. I had similar work done for me a year ago by Armorvue and I'm still trying to get resolution on the work that was done. NewSouth has done a far better job for me. One word of caution, make sure all windows and doors have the small gold rectangular sticker clearly visible on all installations. Despite what you may be told otherwise, this is the most important sticker that the code inspector will absolutely require to be on the product.

The showroom of NewSouth Windows is pretty close to my house. For ease of shopping, I went there. I purchased two doors. It was a new front door with a sidelight, and then a door that goes from the guest bath to the lanai that had a half slide in it. I kind of wish I’d gotten a door with lights in it now, but there’s not much I can do about it at this point. But the products I got are great. They're very sturdy and of very good quality.
The representatives were very nice and helpful, and the workers were great. They came in and got it done. I don’t think it was an easy job ‘cause it’s an older house. Sometimes, things aren’t square. But they cleaned up after themselves very well, they got everything done, and the guy came back later to finish sealing any screw holes, so it was very nice. It took a day for the installation and then half an hour after the inspection could be finished. He had to finish plugging screws. The guys installed all the hardware for the doors, the latches and handles, so that was nice. I would definitely recommend NewSouth Windows.

In August, 2018, I signed papers for 6 new windows. At this time, I was told it would be 3 to 4 months for installation. At this time, provided check for 1/3 of overall price. In January, 4 of the 6 windows were installed; another 1/3 paid. At this time, they realized they manufactured a wrong size for one bathroom. It is now April and two windows still not yet installed.
Additionally, no inspection can take place until all windows are installed; I have stickers all over my house for 3 months. And, I have a bathroom window without any protection from neighbor eyes, because the window they removed was frosted, and the temporary one installed is not. And... One of my windows has extraneous pieces missing, because they too will not be added to window until inspection is complete. I called again, at the end of March (2nd follow-up call since the January installation), and was told someone would return my call. 3 business days later, no call. I will not recommend this company to neighbors who ask about stickers, or to my realtor colleagues, as I only recommend good service and quality products. Dr. Patti **.
Dr. Sullivan, We would like to apologize for the delays caused by the mismeasurement of your windows. For the price I expected a nice looking window as well as a quality window. Great presentation by sales but the windows look about 12 as good as demo. Corner seams are uneven, jagged and rough. The inside of the frames look like someone ran sandpaper over them. Bronze windows had white sealer ooze out the seams. Sealer also oozed on the insides as well. One small window the upper pane lower rail had a very noticeable drop from one side to the other. I do not recommend. For the price I would think they would have some quality control. I don't think decent craftsmanship is too much to ask.

He was a fairly nice guy. I also liked the price. I got sliding windows and the guys that installed it were fast, efficient and on time. The inspector managed to come back after that and did an inspection. I walked around with him, he showed me what it was and I tested the windows myself. Everything went smoothly. We contracted with NEWSOUTH WINDOW SOLUTIONS for 5 windows in our home - about 5000 dollars on June 2 2018. Mid Dec the windows were FINALLY installed. Way way past the 8 to 12 weeks. December 21 a few days before Christmas the glass FELL OUT of the window frame. Yes fell out of the window frame This is a 36 inch by 60 inch window about 100 pounds of glass. The glass fell onto our dining table chair and a bench damaging these just purchased items. Just minutes before our children were to be seated for breakfast.
NewSouth Window Solutions came out and boarded up our new window with plywood as a temporary fix. It was discovered the window had been manufactured in their factory with ZERO glazing. Nothing was holding the heavy glass in ever - simply gravity. Within a few days of the glass falling out of one of the windows frames it was discovered that the OTHER windows LEAK WATER THROUGH THEM. NewSouth Window Solutions said they would manufacture all 5 windows AGAIN but we had to wait etc.
On February 12 2019 they come to install the new second set of windows, but could not due to the rain. So installation was rescheduled again for February 25. On the Saturday before the 25, the 23 a "Manager" Randy called me in the morning telling me the the SECOND set of windows that should have ALREADY been installed already were found to be DEFECTIVE AGAIN. So they ordered another set on the 12 of February with the high hopes that they would arrive from their OWN factory in Tampa before the next install date of the 25 however they arrived broken or damaged so NO windows for us as now the 3 set up is not available for our home on 25 of February
By my count that is THREE sets of windows. ONE set well part of set that are wood and leaking in our home. SECOND set found to be defective only AFTER they were unable to be installed and THIRD set broke upon delivery to their warehouse in Altamonte from their factory in Tampa. I have contacted SEVERAL people including: Warren (British) their salesman **. Fred their install manager who has been to our home and seen the horrible job first hand **. Randy the manager of the Altamonte store **. Marcus - NewSouth Window service solutions **. Tim who I was told is regionals manager - the BIG BOSS **.
I have asked for a refund as we have ZERO faith in their ability to manufacture a window correctly. They offer 100% customer satisfaction with a lifetime warranty and there are supposed to be 140 MPH hurricane windows - no hurricane came through before Christmas? I wonder how many windows are barely glazed in or not at all? Tim told me that they will give us a full refund ONLY after they install the 3rd set of windows AND we allow the pass the county inspection to go pass the installation BUT Tim refuses to put that in writing for us... Here we sit with boarded up windows in our home. I have the ORIGINAL glass and gasket from the window that fell into our home - glass EVERYWHERE. They wanted to take it but I told them no.

We purchased NSW hurricane windows & doors about 3 1/2 years ago. The initial experience was very satisfactory. NSW was the only company who would have a contractor standing by during installation in order to demo and rebuild 2 walls (1) new windows far larger than windows they replaced and (2) NSW french doors replaced an existing window, so all work was accomplished at the same time.
Recently we found 2 of the large windows sprung air leaks noticeable by windows fogging up. Tho it took 3-4 months for NSW to have replacements ready, they were installed this morning by Gary and Rick, both very courteous and professional. The whole job took under 2 hours. Rick even took the time to adjust one of the NSW french door s as it had loosened at the jam and needed to be re-aligned. He also gave me a lesson in removing screens on our sliding windows so both glass sides can be cleaned. We highly recommend New South Windows.

Almost 20K dollars for new windows in 2017. Installers broke a porcelain sink but we didn't notice it until later and no way to prove it. Also had to do a lot of painting and touch ups after their installation. About four months ago we had the lower part of a large kitchen window FALL OUT of the track and onto the back of a chair all by itself, thank goodness no one was sitting there.
Turns out that window was made too narrow, after checking there were more that were made incorrectly but installed anyway. We were supposed to have that window along with a few others that had the same problem manufactured and installed by Christmas. It is now the end of February. All I've been told is excuses and broken promises of callbacks. I called yesterday and was ASSURED I would receive a call back from a supervisor this morning... It's now 1:30... big surprise... Customer NO service at its best. I have been VERY patient. NSW has my money so they don't care how long it takes. I doubt Earl has this problem.

I ordered hurricane windows for my condo last July. After over 20 weeks of waiting I finally had a date for installation. I had 6 large windows. The installers only showed up with 4 and the other 2 were brought later in the afternoon during the installation. The installers did a poor job and damaged the outside of the building. I had to pay $200 after the fact to have the building repaired on the exterior because they tore paint and concrete off.
After they left I came to realize that the two windows that were brought later that day were not hurricane windows and were regular glass. I called to complain and after two months of almost daily phone calls and threats they finally agreed to replace the glass with hurricane glass. The original installers had to know that the 2 windows were incorrect because hurricane windows are almost double in weight.
I feel that NewSouth Windows deliberately tried to pass cheap windows that are half the cost as hurricane windows and got caught. I wonder how many other people out there think that they have hurricane windows and do not. They look the same and even fooled the building inspector. The customer service of this company is by far the worst that I have ever dealt with. I can't believe that they are still in business. Not only did they try to cheat me but I had to pay a contractor $200 to make repairs after the fact for the horrible work that they did.

The red flag went up big time when I asked for a professional, computer generated quote and was told by Phil in the West Palm Beach office, "Sorry but we don't operate that way." What? Are you serious??? The sales rep gave a good presentation even though it was a bit long. Then he proceeded to scratch out all the info on a piece of paper, then showing me the final figure. No breakdown for the cost of each window and installation fees. Don't be fooled by their factory direct claim, "we own our own factory". NSW windows are about 40% higher than other companies. I've moved on and will select between two companies that are quoting the same product... and with professional quotes.

For the last five years, I had been looking to getting my windows replaced. I had different companies come and they did their presentation. Then, we had the hurricane in 2017 and that kinda made me get more serious about getting them done. I felt NewSouth Windows would be the most trustworthy and the best option. Also, the sales rep was really good and I liked him. My husband and I are both retired military and they appreciate the military. He obviously is experienced and wasn’t a fellow who was gimmicky or was trying to get our business.
Also, he answered all our questions and stayed with us throughout the whole window process because we had a problem when it came down to the installation. We had to wait seven months to get the window so we were discouraged about that, but I understood and they kept us updated. Then, once they got the windows done, they didn’t come on the day that they promised, and my husband took the day off so he lost a day worth of pay based off of their promise to be here. But they came back too and they fixed all that.
I was not able to get my triple sliding doors on because of the price. But with the 10 windows they installed, so far, I'm really happy with their quality. I could tell the difference with regards to the insulation. I don’t hear as much from the outside and I don’t get dust residue from when the yard man does my yard work. And I don’t get fine dust through the windows that I had gotten before. I knew I was losing through the windows anyway, but I don’t see that now and I'm happy with that.
The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t do the bottom ledge of the window and they left holes in there from where they drilled the screws in based off of the instructions criteria. It was very unsightly. But the guy said they had to screw screws to the bottom and the top as opposed to just the side. So, NewSouth Windows provide check to cover for the side, but they don’t provide it for the bottom.
I spent all this money on these windows and now if I open the window and I look down there, I could see little holes with screws on the end. They're not drilled perfectly, so it looks really messy. I was really disappointed. But the guy told me that he caulked in the holes so they weren’t actually off. We accepted that and it made sense that they couldn’t put a cover on the bottom because then it would interfere with the insulation for the window coming down. But I think that NewSouth Window could come up with a solution to that situation. All in all, I like it and I'm happy. I know I got the best company to do the job and I know the warranty is great.

I had NewSouth replace all my old cast iron windows with hurricane impact windows. But the experience wasn't all that great just because it just went on and on. They said the windows would be here between eight to 10 weeks, and it went way longer than that. I think a lot of it had to do with their aggressive marketing campaign on TV. They had actually said that they had to put on a third shift just to keep up with what they had going on. I still have some stuff that needs to be done. We initiated this stuff back in April of last year and they sent people out five times so far. When they were installing the windows, they didn't do it correctly.
The engineering drawings said that they had to be fastened at certain distances. When you're putting in all the screws, they had to be positioned accordingly. And when the inspector came out, it failed inspection. They said they don't have enough screws, and it's not in the right spot, so they had to come out and put more screws in. So their installer was definitely not up to par. Also on the engineering standpoint, they drilled holes through the sill to fasten them in to the bottom of the window openings. But I've been in construction and I've never seen that before. I was talking to other people saying when the rain hits the window, it goes down into the bottom of the window that has weep holes, where it goes back out to the outside of the house. And that channel at the bottom where it holds water is where they drilled through and put screws into my sill plate. So it just seems like that's gonna be something that could end up being a failure if water gets down in.
I finally paid the check to them about a month and a half ago and I still need them to come out because when they installed, they drilled holes to the sides of the windows to put the fasteners in, but then they have these caps that they're supposed to cover up their screw holes with. So I probably shouldn't have wrote the check. They came in for other things to finish up the job, after it got inspected, but they didn't put those caps on.
The reps have always been nice and the windows turned out as promised. But some of the times, I had to call back several times. The professionalism was lacking. I’ve asked the sales guy when he came out here, if they used subcontractors or if they were in-house people, and when the people came out to do the windows they were subcontractors.
We are so sorry to hear of your frustration, this is the last thing we wanted to cause. We do apologize for the delay in completing your project. Prior to your initial install, in March of 2018, we combined our three separate factories into one large facility; the move, along with the increase in orders after Irma, made our delays in 2018 even greater. A friend of mine had boasted about how good NewSouth Window is and they decided to use them as a quote first. With their quote, I knew what I was getting and I chose them over PGT Windows. The sales team member was just fine and rather responsive, especially if I decided to even call him today with some assistance as well. I purchased windows and doors, and I put in a French door. Till we got to the installation, it took a little bit longer than I was expecting. I ordered in the second week of July and they weren’t even starting to install until the first week of December. It was a very long time. They told me that it was gonna be about 3 months, so I tried to prepare for that but I did not expect 4 plus.
Then the actual installation took over 2 days. They did well on the first day and they were rather clean with their stuff. I also appreciated the attitudes of the gentlemen. Unfortunately, one gentleman had a family emergency which made him leave the job site on the second day and so he couldn't finish. It took them another week to get him back ‘cause they decided to use the same installer instead of just immediately sending someone over to finish it. Instead of a two-day job, it was continued about a week and a half later and so the whole job was done in almost two weeks.
Now, even though it took them two weeks to install the windows, they shipped one with a broken pane of glass in it. I was told 3 days ago that it might be another two weeks till my actual pane of glass comes in, which is gonna be another week until it comes in after that. I still haven't gotten my windows and doors inspected and we’re already in January. We get them inspected after we’re done with the job, so the wait is so horrible. While the attitude and the actual workmanship itself are fine, it’s the time that really needs work.

Our story is much the same as others. We began with three vendors. NewSouth was by far the most expensive, almost double Window World. Still we were impressed with the presentation and felt there was adequate value there to justify the price. We inked the contract on 6/7/18. Lead time was to be 14 weeks till install. We were ok with that since we had no real need. They were pretty good at informing of all the delays. Our install was 11/20/18. On installation there were a few window problems. Five of the six windows we bought had issues. Most were small and acceptable, like screen that doesn't fit, screen with a hole in it.
One window the glaze is separate from the frame, that's not minor and one should be tempered glass and may not be. The job failed inspection. We noted all this with the installers and were told not to be concerned because we have a lifetime warranty and they would return promptly to make things right. Actually we accepted this and waited and waited and waited. It's now 1/9/19 and nothing has been handled.
Here's where the aggravation comes in. Communicating with NewSouth is a terrible experience. Each and every time you call them they require your name and address before they even know why you are calling. Does not make you feel like a valued customer. After that you get the "in a meeting, unloading a truck, left for the day" responses and nothing happens.
Once I actually got a person's email address so I thought now I have a contact. Nope. Tried it and got no response. We were told our problems would all be handled by 1/7/19. All issues remain and no contact has been made. Sure makes one wonder what value this lifetime warranty has. Perhaps they mean it takes a lifetime to get things right. Our plan was to get this under our belts and then do our patio doors. You can guess what we're doing with that plan. In spite of this, we still feel like the product is superior if it's right. We just never experienced a company that is so unfriendly and uninterested in their customers.
Mr. Saylor, We apologize for any frustration you have experienced. It is truly the last thing we want for our customers. We understand that you have since connected with our team and that the services needed to complete your project have been finalized. We do appreciate the feedback, and again we apologize. So my wife and I went through the process of replacing our house windows, and I have to tell you DO NOT USE NewSouth Windows! 7 months from the time we signed the contract before they even began, and almost a year before they considered the job completed. The job really is not completed; they just refuse to repair their install and manufacturing defects. The first day of installation they only replaced four windows, but they did remove the caulk from all the existing windows that holds the glass in the frame. The crew was scheduled to return the next day which was Sunday, but the crew leader informed me that they would not be here in the morning, they wanted to go drinking and watch the fight at the bar and would not be in shape to work.
So the next morning I woke up to find we had two panes of glass from our existing windows fall out on to the ground! I have no idea how long our home was exposed, but I was very glad I noticed. I called NewSouth and was told only the showroom was open and no one could come until Monday morning. I sure hope we don’t need any warranty work done on a weekend! So I had to duct tape them in place until the came back four days later.
So four days later a new crew came to finish the installation, here I must say way better than the first crew! The issue now becomes the quality; three of the new windows were installed but need replaced due to poor craftsmanship. Our 10K door wall had three large black grease marks between the pains, and two windows had manufacturing defects and required replacement. Where are the quality checks at the plant? Virtually every window has scratches and or discoloration, not what I would expect after spending 30K!!
The service manager told my wife after the 6th trip they would buff and repair all scratches, but by the eight trip he changed his mind and said that’s just how their windows are and will be! The last crew to come out to make install repairs (at this point it's been eight trips out, four cancellations) was in too big of a hurry to really make the necessary repairs. The door handle on our door wall had several chips and scratches, and at first it appeared to be painted with white out! We made them fix it again (still not good) but they should have replaced it, come on, it’s a door handle!!
After cancelling a couple scheduled trips out, I informed the receptionist that if they did not come finish the installation, I would dispute my last credit card charge, which I ended up doing since we are over nine months into this project. After NewSouth was informed of the credit dispute, I was called by the service manager Cory and was told they would be putting a lien on our house and filing a lawsuit against me, and they would not finish the job until I reversed the dispute. I did remove the dispute since I wanted this nightmare to end.
Right after the second crew was completed I noticed a broken tile on my patio after the crew removed their tools and “cleaned up”. I informed the office and was told they would take care of it. Four months later as they are “closing” the job the service manager Cory informs me they did not do it, will not send anyone out to fix it, but out of courtesy they would send me a check for $75. I also wanted the caulk job in one room replaced because it was so bad. Again the service manager Cory told me it was due to my drywall, excuse me what? The drywall looked fine with my old windows. It’s hard to tell if the caulking was done by a 2 year old or someone just incompetent. My personal opinion, use anyone but this company!

NewSouth said they make good windows, so I took them at their word. I got their best windows with the best glass to screen out harmful heat, and it worked. They cost a lot, but I’ve already seen a difference in my home. My sales rep was Jacob and he did a good job. I bought the windows in July but it was installed around December. It took a while, and if we were counting on them for the hurricane season, we would've missed it. They could’ve sped up the delivery, but the installers were very professional. They got in here, did the job, and got out. I’d recommend NewSouth.

NewSouth Window Solutions reps were very professional. They put on a good demonstration and at the end of the day, they won the business. I purchased from them high-efficiency windows which are very good at conserving energy and are also a little impact-resistant. The house was clean after the installation. They did a neat job. The quality looks great and I’m very happy with the final product.
I might need to touch base with them because they left some moldings behind by each window and I don’t know what those are for. And when the inspector came out, she noticed that there were some attachment holes or screw holes where they framed in the window on the bottom seal. She said that those holes should be insulated or plugged so the rain doesn’t seep into those holes. So, I might ask them if there's a molding or something that covers that up or if I need to go out and get some caulking and patch over those holes. The only thing NewSouth could’ve done differently was the timeline. Nonetheless, I’m very, very satisfied with them.

I had windows on order from another company in the Tampa area, but after the hurricane, they decided they weren’t coming this far south. So, they called me and said that they were sorry. NewSouth Window's commercial caught my eye, so I contacted them. Their sales team was really great. It impressed me when they showed the difference from the local competitor who makes windows down here, PGT, and then compared to theirs. They didn't have to show me anything because I was already decided, but the sales guy still did and that reaffirmed my decision to go with NewSouth Window. I also like the fact that it's sold by the people that works for them, and it's made here in Florida.
I purchased single-hung seven windows, hurricane, and then four of them are turtle glass. But there was a major delay on my windows. All they said was because the turtle glass was on back order. And then the first one they made, they were incorrect. So, they did a whole new set of windows. But the two people who ordered the windows were awesome. When my windows finally came, we had two days to do the installation. The installation went great. I love it. I’m on the 10th floor in a condo building, and I was definitely impressed by the head installer. He had a safety harness on, but he was standing outside on a ledge caulking and putting in six of the windows. He was very professional and did a great job. The windows are so easy to clean. I have recommended NewSouth Window to so many people.

Overall I would not recommend this company for anything other than windows which is what they really specialize in!!! A very untrustworthy company that shouldn't be selling anything other than what it can produce. Windows! My experience: After 4 months (16 weeks) of waiting we tried to get an answer as to the status of our glass door unit? Finally the salesman Max calls at 7:30 pm to inform us that NewSouth won't be able to honor their contract and will be giving us a refund! No reason why and this is after they wrote an addendum accepting the responsibility to install our door 4 weeks earlier.
Don't expect any support or communication as it simply doesn't exist. We were only allowed to speak to Meagan the receptionist! She did say the sales manager would be calling us but they never did then in the same week we were told the director would be getting into contact with us and they never did. Then a couple of days later is when the salesman Max contacted us. I might add that we never were able to contact anyone. Even the salesman in the end only received false promised from Meagan! After being sold on the full service of the company we find out it doesn't exist for doors as they only make the glass??? So now 16 weeks later no refund. No window. No communication and to top it off no offer of compensation for the money we spent to meet our end of the deal which cost us another $1000.00 out of pocket!!
Mr. Sandora, We do apologize for any disappointment you have experienced. We at NewSouth Window want to ensure that you receive the highest level of support and it sounds like we missed the mark. It is my understanding that you've since spoken with our Market President, Rich Groff, and that your order has been canceled and deposit refunded. I was looking for windows and wasn’t getting what I wanted. The cheapest one wouldn’t clean up. And if they damage the drywall, we’d be stuck or I had to fix it. The other ones were grossly overpriced and the other one has an idiot of a salesman salesman. NewSouth wasn't the cheapest but I gave them a call and purchased a 150-mile-an-hour, thermal pane windows from them.
The sales rep was great and very straightforward. He laid things right out, did a quick measure on all of them and gave me a quote. About two weeks later, a guy came out and did the final measurement. However, we had a hurricane last year come through here in Sebring so it took a while to get them in. But the service I’ve received so far has just been spot-on and the people I've dealt with had been great. Two guys came out and installed 10 windows in six hours, and took about half an hour break for lunch. They tore the old windows out and put the news one in. They didn’t leave a piece of dirt in any place. They put down tarps, vacuumed everything up and wiped everything off. Other than the fact there are new windows, you wouldn’t even know they’ve been here. Overall, I love the windows. They're solid and work fantastic. There are no drafts in the house anymore and almost no noise from outside unless the bus goes by.

We called three different window retailers. One didn’t show up, and the other one didn’t even return our call. We then purchased windows from NewSouth. Their sales guy was great. The price was a little high than we wanna spend, but he sold us on it. And we’re happy with everything. However, they aren’t completed yet, and it takes so long because they still have to come back. We just had the final inspection done, and then NewSouth has to come back and do cover-ups on screws.
Other than that, the initial installation was great. We found a lot of screws lying around in the carpet, and stuff in the house, and outside in the driveway, but the crew was really good, and they worked together great and got it done a lot faster than I thought they would. They were also really professional. The quality of the windows is great. It has gotten cold since we’ve had it done, and with our old windows, we could feel the cold air coming through. But these windows from NewSouth, we can’t feel any cold air coming through the them. NewSouth is good, and I’d recommend them to anybody.

Salesman was nice and knowledgeable, came in early June, and made initial quote which was significantly reduced when he could see that I was not going to spend that much money. I have him a 35% down payment and opted for their 12 month interest free financing for the balance. He told me the installation would occur late August to early September. Mid-September I received a call that everything was “on track” and my windows would be ready for installation late September to early October. I questioned the delay and was told “there is a glass and vinyl shortage in the state of Florida.”
At the end of September I received another phone call stating that everything was on track and my windows will be ready for installation at the end of October to the first part of November. At this point I didn’t even question why. Then on October 11th I received a call that my windows were built and ready for install and they had an opening for the next day, of which I immediately accepted. About 2 pm I received a call stating that the installers were unable to complete the job they were on that day and they wouldn’t be able to make it until Monday. The installers showed up on Monday, October 15th on time and got busy. They were professional and did a nice clean installation. The main installer informed me that the building inspector would be at my home in 2-10 days and to leave the window stickers on until the inspection was complete.
As of November 27th I still had not had the inspection so I called NSW because I have received the bill from their finance company, Green Sky revealing that NSW billed the job on October 17th even though the job is not complete. When I contacted Green Sky to tell them of my plight, they instructed me to contact NSW for a full credit and to recharge it when the job is complete. So now I’m a full month into my interest free finance period on a job that is incomplete.
Customers beware: you will NEVER be able to call NSW and speak to anyone with any authority to handle your dilemmas. You will be fielded by the front line receptionists and told that the person/persons you need to speak with are in a meeting and they will call you back, which I can assure you in my case never happened. The receptionist was very pleasant and put me on hold to relay the status of my job being incomplete and with no building inspection to date and she came back on the phone to tell me that “someone dropped the ball and that Kristina ** is researching the records and would get back to me by 4:30 that afternoon. Nicole is in charge of scheduling the inspections and she will be in contact with me.” Still have not heard from Kristina ** when the call was made at 3:46pm on Tuesday, November 27th and it is Friday, November 30th now.
Nicole did call on Wednesday, November 28th and arranged the inspection for today, November 30th. I must mention that my garage window was supposed to have obscure glass and came from the factory with clear glass. In my opinion, a job is not complete until all components of that job are finished, inspected, the proper initial order of the correct glass finish is installed and the final trim to cover the installation screw holes is installed. At that time, the company should then charge the job as complete and the finance company notified to begin the billing process.
NSW has a very good product, of which I am satisfied but the follow through is horrendous and they should consider some major modifications to their completion process and the breakdown of communication between customer and company. I would not recommend this company at this time and if I had it to do all over again I would choose a different company for window replacement. As of 12:40pm November 30th I am waiting for the inspector to show up and for a call back from Kristina ** to address the charging of a job that is nowhere complete. Imagine going to get a brake job on your car and being charged but the tires aren’t on and you can’t go anywhere.
Ms. Dawson, We would like to extend to you our most sincere apologies regarding the complications mentioned. It is my understanding that you've connected with Rich Groff, our Market President, and that your GreenSky promotion has been extended until the end of January. We are also sorry for the delay in completing your project, but please know that we hope to have your service materials and installation finalized in the next few weeks. Again, thank you for sharing your feedback, we will use it to help improve our customer service training and processes. You do have a lifetime warranty, and we will strive to do better if you should need us in the future. Thank you.

With being new to the area, I was doing a search for window companies. I narrowed my search down to window manufacturers in Florida and I looked at their Better Business Bureau reports. Based on that, I went with NewSouth and I had a good experience with them. I got the top-of-the-line windows which are a step under the hurricane windows. They're single hung, insulated windows, and they look nice. They also passed inspection and I'm satisfied with their quality.
When I bought them, I had a very positive interaction with the sales rep. He was wonderful and he answered every question I had. And the questions that he couldn't answer, I took straight to their vice president and had a nice little chat with him. I have a manufacturing background and there was something on the Better Business Bureau report that I purchased which I took straight to him and he was able to answer them. When the installation team came in, they worked very efficiently and cleaned up. They also took out the old windows out and they were polite and very good. But there was a delay on the delivery of the windows and I wish there was more communication about that. Other than that, I'd recommend NewSouth.

That was what we went on and we did three windows at the time. Then we came back with them and another sales rep came around. We worked with him in purchasing the other windows and our front door. We did all our windows around the house and we got a total of seven windows from NewSouth. They have three different types of windows and we got the highly graded ones. We went with the colonial that has the grid and a blue tone on the outside looking in. We got the double-hung impact windows and they cost 9,000-something.
The installation went very well, too. It was very professional and the installers cleaned up after they installed the products. And when there was a hiccup in the process, they informed me and let me know when they were coming to fix the problem. But it wasn't really a major problem, there was just a piece that was missing. This caused me to begin a search for some type of replacement windows. After reviewing several window companies ads, I chose New South Windows. I gave them a call and a salesman named Jon ** responded. He showed me their product and completely explained everything. I was very impressed with the design and construction of their windows.
After deciding to have them replace all 21 of my large windows and three doors, a date was set for them to send a team out to remove the old windows and install the new ones. I was very impressed with the quality and care they displayed in the removal and installation of my new windows and doors. NewSouth manufactures their products here locally, and we did the complete house with them. In total, we did eight windows and one door. The sales team member we dealt with was fantastic. We went back to purchase doors from them a second time and we dealt with a different member. But the first member was very clear and very open about everything. It was a very simple process too.
They installed all of the windows and the door in one day, which was fast. But the quality lacked because they tried to finish it all in one day. We had to have them come back for a few things and I had to contact them in order to have them to come out. They didn’t pursue it on their end so that was a little frustrating at the end. When they came out to put window trim on the inside of the windows after the final inspection, the first gentleman who came out did not complete the full trim. So we had to have them come out for that.
We also had one window in our son’s room that they didn’t install properly. It was rubbing on the bottom track so we had to have a gentleman come out and repair that as well. After the worker left, he was supposed to send somebody back out because he just came out to finalize the trim. But I had to contact NewSouth to have them come out. That issue was taken care of last week so it took a little time at the end. We also had some leakage through the threshold at the bottom of the door when we had a tropical storm. It was an installation issue with the caulking and the threshold at the bottom. But they did come out and repair that. They puttied the screw holes which were not done before, caulked them and finished doing the trim as well.

We started in 2016 with project, made mess in home, had incorrect windows, lied about the product we were getting, can now hear all noises from outside, AC works harder, electric bill went up, you can see every corner seam/weld, have had 1 window replaced at least 6 times and still dislike it, but they wore me down. I’m just so frustrated with being yelled at by the installers to taking off work and them not showing up to the general manager telling me I was too picky (because I didn’t like all the caulk all over the windows and black stuff on the insides of the glass). I have literally just given up and we are trying to save the money to get these windows out, and the sales rep that came forget it. He wouldn’t return a phone call. With all the mistakes, wrong windows and me calling for the final inspection they took 100% of their money out of our account, they got paid and we got screwed.
We had double pane windows and just wanted more energy efficient, we got worse than we had. Stay away from New South, we probably could have done a better job if we did it ourselves and bought windows from a dollar store (if they sold them). The GM offered 1000.00 back if we would keep the last window and they not come back with the conditions we could never ever say a bad word, never sue, family couldn’t sue, there was a whole page of conditions and I don’t generally even do reviews. I told them we had already lost 1000.00 with all the work we missed and they could keep their money because all I wanted was a full refund so I could get a real contractor to replace the windows. So basically we lost 12,000 on these junk windows that stand in front of and can feel the heat just beat right in, could probably get a tan if you stood there long enough. We just keep the blinds closed to keep the heat out.
Melissa, So sorry to hear of your disappointment, this is the last thing we want for our customers. Your feedback has been shared with management and will be used to improve our service.

I contracted for 7 windows and 3 sliding glass doors to be manufactured and installed. The job was suppose to be completed by July and it is now September and not only do I not have any windows or doors installed I do not even have any idea when that will ever occur. I have contacted their customer service representative M. ** on several occasions trying to get a status on my order but I get no response from her. Very dissatisfied with this company and I now regret my decision to purchase from them. Buyer beware. They will take your money and leave you hanging!!
Mr. Bernard, We would like to apologize for any frustration you’ve experienced due to the delay in completing your project. Earlier this year our three separate factories were combined into one large facility; the move, along with the increase in orders after Irma, made our delays even greater. These are not meant as excuses, but rather factors that contributed to the delay. It is my understanding that you’ve spoken with our Orlando Market President, Tim Nagle. Please know that your products are in the final stages of production. We expect that the Orlando location will receive your products in the next few days. They'll then go through a final quality check and you will be contacted to schedule installation. Thank you and we will be in touch.

My son-in-law went around to different places and he thought that NewSouth Window Solutions was the best so he got them. And then my cousin got them and we got them too. We got the hurricane windows and the sales rep was very good. However, we purchased it in April and we just got them, and that's a long time to wait. They changed warehouses and that caused them to get way behind. Nevertheless, the installation team was fine and the quality of the windows are wonderful. They look good and we're really pleased with them.

I saw the NewSouth commercials on TV and since I live in Florida where they are built, I bought the Impact Windows from them. I liked the quality and everything was excellent with my buying experience. Everybody from the sales team was cordial and professional. The installation team was great and they took care to make sure they didn’t damage anything. They moved items that they thought were in the way very carefully. NewSouth is a great company and they did a good job on our house.

We looked at several manufacturers of windows and I like the quality that NewSouth had to offer. We purchased 12 windows for our home, so it was a fairly reasonable sized job. The salesperson was fine and he told us everything we needed to know. He also demonstrated the window for us. The only problem that we had was even though we knew there was going to be a wait for the windows, we ended up waiting five months. That’s the normal wait time, which is outrageous. That, to me, is gonna turn customers off as people aren’t gonna wait 5 months for thousands of dollars of windows. A very long waiting time would stir me off if I was gonna buy windows again. They need to hire more people and work more hours. They should build a new factory so they would be able to accommodate.
For the installation, we had four guys and they were here for one and a half days. They were excellent, very courteous, tidy, and clean. They did a wonderful job and we really like them. We were very happy with them. However, they still have to come back since there were two errors. First, we had a plain glass non-movable window and we were replacing it with also a non-movable window. They sent us a double-pane window so they have to replace that.
The second error is that the grates on the top of one of the windows don’t match the bottom window and that is stupid. They said that it was diagrammed properly when they came to do the install for the measurements. It’s a common thing so it was really an unusual error. For them to make the mistake was a little drop-the-ballish and it's a little unusual for a company like that to make two errors. They said it will take four to six weeks, which I understand. It’s reasonable and acceptable but hopefully, I don’t have to wait 5 months. A friend of ours is coming over to look at our windows ‘cause he’s interested, but I don’t know whether he’s going to give it a five-month wait. Still, the quality of the windows are excellent and I would recommend NewSouth highly.

I called NewSouth Window Solutions and another company. When the other company got back with me several days later, I already had the rep out from NewSouth who was very good. We purchased the impact windows from them and they were of excellent quality. However, the installation did not go well. The installers made the installation right but they had not taken the bay window out, which is three pounds of glass. NewSouth had to send another team out, a more professional team. The first team was just one man. He came out with two fellows the first time, and then he came back by himself. My husband had to assist him.
When the second team came out, the tech saw that the bay window had to be redone but the rest of the windows in the house seem to be okay. The tech looked at the window and he said, "No. We have to take this out. The measurements and all were off." We've seen that but because of the foundation of our home and the structure, we didn't know if we should rip it out and do it over. But the tech said, "No, it needs to be done." The team took out the bay window and eventually made the installation right. They were also the ones that installed the sliding glass doors that were backordered.
It was a very stressful installation experience but we are enjoying the windows now. We finally got shades on the windows, the bay window, and the sliding glass doors. It's just beautiful. I would recommend NewSouth Window Solutions but they need to improve on their installers. They need more installers and they should not employ that one person that came to our house. He worked very fast and had no regards for our foundation. He just ripped away at it. They sent out an excellent team the second time and I wish we had them to begin with. I'm very happy with that second group.
Thank you so much for your comments, Brenda. We do apologize for the setback in completing your project. Mark, We apologize for any frustration you have experienced. While we manufacture 95% of the products we offer, there are select products, such as entry doors, that are produced by other companies. We work with these outside providers to help furnish your home as a convenience. This was the case for your project specifically; the door frame was ordered from another supplier, and we would provide the glass for it. Unfortunately, outside of our control, the door manufacturer was experiencing delays, and we were unable to provide you with the proper updates as a result. It is our understanding that you've reached an agreement with our West Palm Beach team to remove the door from your order and receive a full credit refund for the door. We had considered a total of three window retailers, and we looked at the construction and the price. I have learned about NewSouth Window Solutions at the Robarts Arena, a home show in Sarasota, and we had a good experience with their sales team. We had a number of different salespeople in and they both had the same quality window, had a very complete explanation of how their window is constructed, and what their service is. We purchased a two-glass window with the storm rating. They did the installation properly. They notified me when they would come and they were on time. They were very accommodating too. The window has been up for about two weeks now and it looks like a good quality window. I’m happy with it.

I looked at the windows on NewSouth's flyer and they looked sturdier than what I had seen previously from window people. Then, when a salesman came along and I really studied the windows, the frame, and the thickness, I said that that was what I want. I signed the contract with Mark and he couldn’t have been better, more cooperative, and believable. We got sliders and push-up windows and the installation couldn’t have been better. They came in when they said they were gonna be here and they went right to work. They made as little a mess as possible and as they were going along, they were cleaning behind. They had a guy doing the cleaning and they were picking up all the dusts, sweeping it up, and washing the windows. The windows have the best quality and made our house even better.

We were looking for windows at that time. Our neighbors were getting windows from another company and we called them, made an appointment and they never showed up. And then, we pursued NewSouth Window Solutions. We purchased single-hung and sliders windows. The quality is very nice. We like them a lot. There was only one guy who installed the windows. He came and put them all in one day. When he finished, I was busy with somebody else and he left. The next day, when we tried to open the windows ourselves, we noticed that they were sticking and weren't hung right. I called and they came right away, same day, and fixed it. It just needed a little adjusting.
I forgot to mention the garage and the salesman never picked up on that. And so, when the windows arrived, they all look beautiful except these ugly old garage window sitting here. I would have replaced that one too if I had thought about it. But I didn't think about it and the salesman didn't think about it either. I would tell the salesman to look around and see because our garage window is right at the front entrance. So, you can come in, you come down the path and you see this lovely window. And then, you look to the side and there's this ugly old aluminum piece of junk. Right now it'd be costly, but with a whole bunch of windows, we got a good discount. If I just have them come out for one, it's gonna be incredibly expensive. So, I probably won't do that. Nonetheless, we have already recommended NewSouth to a couple of people.
Thank you so much for your comments. Our team will really appreciate this great feedback. Let us know if we can ever be of further service.

On the 3rd of May this year I had Sales person Max ** come to my home for a quote on the two windows on the second floor bonus room. I am getting to the age I did not want to climb ladders to put storm shutters up high. He verbally told me $4103 for the two windows and I agreed. I did sign a contract for the windows and my fault I did not read it carefully. There was a poorly made 1 / 7 whichever you would interpret the amount which he broke down the payment intervals as deposit, start, and finish of the windows and they totaled to total to the 4703 number not the 4103 number I understood verbally.
This was discovered when I was going over the contract due to their saying they were not going to meet the 12 to 16 week delivery time that is stated on the contract. They are now telling me it may be ready by the end of September, that is over 20 weeks and that I have no recourse but accept that they will deliver and install the windows when they are ready, and the total bill will be $4703 no choice. The Sales person basically called me a liar and the delivery time is approximately. I guess 12 - 16 weeks is not the approximate. Very unhappy with the customer service from the people you are able to reach at this business.

I didn't wanna deal with having to put storm panels up and I thought that purchasing new windows was the way to go. We had an appointment with NewSouth and a gentleman came here way before the appointment time. I was also impressed with what he had to tell me about NewSouth and the way he explained everything to me. There was no pressure and it was a good session. So, I decided to go with NewSouth and I got 10 hurricane windows from them. They are the impact windows and I spent $15,000 on them.
The installation was excellent and I have nothing but good to say about the people that came here. The lead guy was Corey and he had two people working with him. Before they left, I told them how impressed I was with the way they handled the job, from the installation to the way they finished the windows off. And when they left here, you wouldn't even know that they were here. Everything was cleaned up in the outside and the inside. I also let NewSouth know about that and that those guys were a definite plus for their company.
But I couldn't understand why they didn't put NewSouth on their vehicle. Corey gave me an explanation but that is something that they might have missed the boat on because where I live in, there are a lot of people that still need windows and if Corey had NewSouth on his trailer, it would be a good advertisement. Other than that, I had a good experience with NewSouth and I was happy with everybody. Also, when the guy from the county came here, he commented that it was a good job. A day later, somebody from NewSouth came to finish off those little tabs that go in the window. They had to be left out for the inspection to see the size of the screws or how many screws they put in to secure the windows. So, everything went really well.
We ordered the windows in February and they didn't come in until the end of June. But I didn't call up NewSouth and complain about it because I didn't wanna have a problem with the windows and have to call NewSouth then they'd tell me that that was what I got because I kept bugging and pushing them. In the end, I happy and satisfied with the windows. I also kinda understood the situation that they were dealing with when Irma hit here. A lot of people were looking for windows which picked up the business. Plus, NewSouth got a heck of a window. My next door neighbor put in PGT and I don't like his windows at all.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Mr. Mokos! We’re so happy you are enjoying your NewSouth windows. Keep in mind that your products do come with a lifetime warranty, so should an issue arise in the future, NewSouth will be there to handle it. Thank you for being part of the NewSouth family!

My mother met with the salesman in March about replacement windows. She was offered a "discount" if she could wait until a large glass order was being done for a building in Orlando. Yet in order to get this "discount the order needed to be done TODAY and timeline would be mid-July. My mother agreed, although I wanted time to discuss this over with her the salesman pretty much said "take it or leave it." She gave a deposit and the waiting began.
When she attempted to contact her salesman in July as to WHEN they would be out he was not available and she ended up speaking with someone else. She was then told that it would be August. She asked about making a change after having extra time to think about her purchase and was told "ABSOLUTELY NOT." Around the first week of August she is told they will be out on the 13th around 8:30am to install the windows. At approximately 8:20am they called and stated they had a breakdown with the truck and would be out next day. They arrived today and installed the windows. Due to this I have lost confidence in having my windows done by this company.
Matthew, So sorry to hear of your frustration regarding your mother's project, this is the last thing we wanted to cause. We want to apologize for the delay in completing her project. Earlier this year our three separate factories were combined into one large facility; the move, along with the increase in orders after Irma, made our delays even greater. These are not meant as excuses, but rather factors that contributed to the delay. In regards to her order change request, unfortunately, once the order has been relayed to the factory, no additional changes can be made. We try to accommodate changes to customers' orders and allow changes to be made in the first 2-3 weeks of placing an order, up until the Production Manager meets with the homeowner to verify the order and measurements. Due to our products being custom-made, alterations can't be made once they're sent to production. We apologize for any disappointment this has caused, but we do hope that your mother is enjoying the performance of her windows now that they are installed and have passed inspection. We appreciate her as a customer and look forward to servicing her for as long as she owns the windows. NewSouth Window Solutions is proud to provide the most comprehensive warranty in the industry, on the highest quality, energy efficient window in Florida, so should you be in need of replacement windows in the future, we'd love to have you as a customer as well.

Florida has hurricanes and we had the original windows in except for the bedrooms. So I decided rather than play Russian roulette, I just buy the windows. The NewSouth Windows Solutions rep got there first so I bought the heavy duty windows from them. I'm not too sure though that I got the best price from my point of view. When the salesman was there, he gave me some percent discount, but later on, I've read that they had a buy three, get the fourth one free ad. I never sit down to figure it out which was the best deal. Nonetheless, I'm happy with the windows. I only have one that's cracked and they said they would come out and fix it and they wanna hold up the installation.
The installation went good. There was one guy one day and when they put the big ones in, they had two guys. However, the inspection took a while. I didn't know it was gonna take a couple of months, but I got to the point where the homeowner's association only gives you permission for a certain length of time. I was at the expire so when I told NewSouth's rep that I was gonna have to go through the process again, they went ahead and hurried it up and we got the inspectors in. Original Review: July 17, 2018
We purchased New South Windows after a lengthy discussion with the salesman. Some of his answers regarding the install process didn’t inspire confidence, but his offer was a “take it or leave it” offer so we signed the contract anyway. When we called to discuss the questions we still had, we found out that New South does NOT install the type of window we specifically requested and discussed in length with our salesman. We wanted a fin window and they only do inset windows. When we advised we would need to cancel our order and have our deposit refunded since they sold us a product they do not produce, we were told it would have to go through management who would call us back at a later date to discuss.
Mrs. Rowan, Thank you for the feedback, and again we apologize for any misunderstanding. We looked around on the internet and saw an occasional commercial from NewSouth. Their salesman did a good sales pitch, and we went with them since we had also heard of some other companies that weren’t as good. We signed a contract back in November 1st and we didn’t get the installation until within the last couple of months. It was a terrible experience as far as trying to get a hold of people.
The sales guy that sold the stuff to us had quit and we didn’t know anything about it. So, we had no real point of contact. We called several times and it was always a runaround. Then we heard through NewSouth that they’re reorganizing and it’s a new factory that they’re putting up, and things are behind water. So, it took a long time. Only underneath the threat of saying, “In reality, we can back out of this contract because you’ve gone over the time limit to produce an item,” did they all of a sudden start getting the windows together and getting part of it done. It seemed like they had no real contact with the factory. They said they had to wait for a shipment to come in once a week to find out what’s on the orders, instead of maybe sending a liaison to the factory to find out what’s going on and set up a person there so that they can be in constant contact back at the home office.
As far as the workers go, they were great. But when they went to bring the windows and sliders out, they didn’t bring all of it. Instead of two panes of windows and a slider, they brought two sliders and one pane of windows, and we had to wait for that to come in. We finally were able to get a good point of contact that worked there and took things on to get things accomplished. But NewSouth needs to get some feet on the ground in the factory or have a better communication process in place so that they can give you a timeline on where they are with your particular product that you are agreeing to buy. A person shouldn’t have to scrape through the whole process.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience, Mr. Blocho; we will share your feedback with our team. We do hope you are enjoying the performance of your products. They got in here, knew what they were doing, did the work, and cleaned up. It was really well done and I'm totally impressed with them. I would absolutely recommend NewSouth.

NewSouth's sales representative was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and he did an excellent job. The installers also did a good job and the windows look very nice and they compliment the house. NewSouth fulfilled what was advertised so I'm content with that.

My mother went with NewSouth since another retailer wouldn't do the door she wanted. The door she got is lovely and the quality is good. The sales rep was great and the installers worked hard. However, the office staff left a lot to be desired. Once the paperwork reached them, somebody dropped the ball. They ordered the door a week late, so it took longer to come in. They need better communication with their customers.

In August 18, 2017 I contracted NewSouth Windows to install windows and doors in my residence. The contract stated that would complete the project between 12 and 14 weeks. We paid 1/3 of the project cost with the order. 14 weeks and three days later NewSouth shows up to install and collect my second installment. A couple days after that is when I realized “Houston there’s a problem”. Everything went belly up! NewSouth informed that they really didn’t have all the windows and doors and that they were still in backorder. However partially installed windows were exposed for month without sealing or fixing the stucco around them. Now it’s past Thanksgiving and the Holiday season.
I had to wait again until NewSouth hired a sub-contractor to do the stucco job. The contractor showed up sporadically to work on my windows even in Holidays. He destroyed parts of my lawn, plants and grounds. He even had the audacity to make stupid remark to my neighbor who called him out for the mess on his property not cleaning. Then something happened and he blew up one of my new picture windows. It’s now a NEW YEAR, 20 weeks and 5 days and still the job is not complete. NSW project manager shows up in my house after multiple calls and we both produce a 9 item punch list.
1. Picture window with 8/8 grids Mulled ½ half-moon window over front door. 2. Windows 4 & 6 missing grids top and bottom. 3. Stucco around loft windows need to be removed from shingles. 4. Picture window 9 cracked, needs reglaze. 5. Master BR (wrong tint). 6. Master bath #19 cracked re-glaze. 7. Caulk windows 25 & 26 inside and outside (screens missing). 8. Window #28 needs grids top and bottom.
These are just examples of us going back and forth discovering new things and them coming sporadically to fix others. By this time, I have involved New South Windows top management including the President, CEO, VP and operations manager. Top management of this Company seems not to have power or influence through their organization. Their emails and request to employees (which I have) went nowhere.
It’s now April 3rd or 32 weeks and 3 days after signing the contract with NewSouth Windows. Although the punch list is NOT complete, NSW schedules for inspection. Needless to say NewSouth Windows did NOT pass inspection. The inspector found at least 54 missing anchor bolts throughout the entire house. A few days later NSW shows up and installs 56 anchor bolts that were missing. (these are supposed to be hurricane proof installations) Don’t know how with 56 missing anchor bolts. On April 18 they successfully passed inspection.
That doesn’t mean that they have completed the job. No, no no… New and old punch list items were still pending. We continued to go back and forth until June 25, 2018 or 311, 44 weeks and three days since we signed the contract I paid New South Windows the final payment. I will NOT recommend this company to anyone. This has been the most frustrating and cumbersome home project I have ever had.
Dear Mr. Miranda, We appreciate you voicing the issues you had on your project, and sincerely apologize for the frustration and the incidents that occurred. Our performance on your project was unacceptable and outside of the norm for NewSouth. The stucco repairman behaved in a way that is contrary to our standards, and although NewSouth does not employ him, we expect the same quality of work from our contractors as we do our traditional employees. We want to ensure you that your remarks have been shared with our management team and will be used to improve our installation and service team training. Once again, we are sorry for the incidents that occurred during your project, but we do hope that you are enjoying the performance of your new windows and doors now that the project is complete. You do have a lifetime warranty, and we will strive to do better if you should need us in the future. Thank you.

There was a delay in the delivery of my sliding doors, but the Amandie kept me informed with frequent updates. The installers were top notch. There was a problem with one door that required a service call, which was taken care of as scheduled in a very professional manner. The building inspector commented on both the quality of the doors and the install. They weren’t the cheapest windows available, but they are absolutely top quality. Overall, I am very happy.

We got the category 5 hurricane windows from NewSouth. My sister dealt with Brad, NewSouth's salesperson, and she was happy. He was a good guy. He was very upfront and honest. The installer, Victor, and his crew were excellent, very courteous, and took care of everything. They showed up when they said they would, they worked through, got everything done, and cleaned everything up. I didn’t like how one window was sitting, so they adjusted it a little bit more to where I wanted it at. And the quality of the windows is good. I recommended my neighbor across the street. He wants to get his windows done. He was watching them with they installed and he liked it and he asked how the crew was. And I told him they were very respectful.

NewSouth Windows seemed nice so I purchased windows and slide doors from them. The seller and I made an agreement for $10,000. But I called him after and requested for a breakdown of the agreement to know where my money went. I needed to know how much were each window and installation because some people will ask me. He gave it to me within six minutes with a really small explanation about the cost of everything. And I was very surprised because the prices and the quantity didn’t match with the cost I paid for. When I asked him about my discount, he said it was included. It was a, “Buy 1 and get 1 free” or “Buy 2 and get 1 free.” But my free windows were not specified. When you have nine windows and one slide door, if you have some free, the cost should be less than $10,000.
Although the estimated time to install, which was 12-14 weeks, was not really nice, the installation was still the best thing that happened. In fact, it was the only good thing. However, at this time, there was one screen missing and it has been more than a month since it was installed. Nonetheless, the rep said that he'd get back to the office about it. I was really satisfied with the installation team and they even recommended to clean the house. But I don't recommend the other people. My brother in Aruba liked this home. When I went to NewSouth at the Altamonte Springs, I told them that I needed to buy some windows like mine for my brother. But they said they don’t sell outside the United States.
Luis, We are happy to hear that you are pleased with the quality of your products and their installation. We also apologize for any misunderstanding there may have been in regards to the pricing of your windows. After reviewing your paperwork, we want to ensure you that you did, in fact, receive our 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' special. Because our price discounts are volume based, we give a packaged price to avoid confusion and are sorry if you were expecting a line by line breakdown. If you need additional clarification on your project's pricing, please feel free to contact us at (407) 261-2777. Time **, Orlando's Market President, would be happy to speak to you. We do hope now that your project is complete that you've found the quality of your windows and door matches the price you paid for them. I had a couple of folks come over and give me a demonstration on the windows. The salesman who came from NewSouth Window Solutions was professional and knew what he was doing. His demonstration was more impressive and the product seemed to be made better so I went with them. I got the impact windows throughout the house and the quality is great. However, NewSouth didn’t realize how much work the installation would be because originally they came with two people. It didn’t seem like it was well communicated that I have a two-storey home so I was wondering how they were gonna go up to the second floor. So, they had the next day come with another person and scaffolding. NewSouth also told me it was a two-day installation but it turned out to be five days.
Also, when they were unloading the windows, they dropped one and it shattered. At first I was surprised because they were supposed to be hurricane impact windows, but the guy explained to me that was for the inside part of the house. It's just glass and it was supposed to shatter like that, but nothing would go through it. He also told me not to worry and they would get me a replacement in a couple of weeks. I've been in contact with them every week and the reps on the phone have been very professional. They told me they're waiting for a truck, but it's been almost two months and I still don’t have the replacement.

Where do I begin, let’s start with the nice salesman who came out at the end of December eagerly signed us up and took our deposit. We were told the windows would be in at the beginning of March. A few weeks later they came out to measure and sign off on the window measurements. 13 weeks and a number of phones call inquiring on an Installation date we finally were called the day before the installation of 8 standard sized windows. When they showed up we were told that our main, one large window, was “destroyed” and they needed to make a whole new one at the factory but that they would put a rush order on it. So the remaining seven were installed and once again we were back to square one with waiting on an install date of our remaining window.
After weekly phone calls and promises of "it will be next week," "it will be next week," "it will be next week" we finally got the window installed and it has a big scratch on it. And we are missing screens. We realize that all they had to do was replace the glass. There was also no factory sticker on the window. When the inspector came out we failed inspection because NewSouth never had an “in progress” inspection done. Here we are another week later with multiple phone calls telling us that our town inspector never returned phone calls to NewSouth. After speaking to our town inspection office they said they never heard from NewSouth. Every time we call we are told more lies and given a different person’s phone number. We are tired of looking at the stickers on our windows, especially the one with a large scratch on it...
We still haven’t received our screens. We have taken multiple days off from work and have a loss of wages due to waiting on them to schedule. We cannot understand why we are just pushed off and strung along. This is a simple straightforward install that has been a major disappointment and drain to our wallet and we haven’t even started paying for the windows yet, aside from the deposit. NIGHTMARE. Phil from the West Palm Beach office has been telling us that he cannot directly contact the factory and ask for window status. Now we are waiting for NewSouth’s engineer to write a letter to our town so they don’t have to do an in progress inspection. When we spoke to our town all they said we had to do was reschedule the inspection and show it was properly installed. Again getting the runaround... 23 weeks later entering hurricane season.

Well the salesman was so eager and full of communication... texts, emails, phone calls, even helped me apply for funding. Once approved I never heard from him again. I ordered in March and was told my installation would be in May. It's now June and I only hear from them when I call to check on my order. Sadly I'm seeing many other reviews similar to mine. Smh.
Dear Ms. Small, we would like to apologize for the delay in completing your project. Earlier this year our three separate factories were combined into one large facility; the move, along with the increase in orders after Irma, made our delays even greater. These are not meant as excuses, but rather factors that contributed to the delay. It is my understanding that your products have been installed and that the two windows in need of service should be taken care of in the next couple of weeks. We hope that the quality of our products has redeemed us a little. Thank you for being our customer and we look forward to servicing you for as long as you own the windows and doors.

NewSouth's sales guy as a ** but I went right through him. He was sitting at my table and he was telling me it was $25,000 to do my windows. I told him to forget it and then he said that they had a special 50% discount so their price went down to $14,000 thereafter. Then, he asked me "Are you a veteran?" which I am by the way. I told him that I wasn't and he took another $2,000 off the price. I listened to him and I let him ** me, then I went into action and now he's not with them anymore. I saw right through him. Once he gave me that 50% off, I knew that he was that type of salesperson.
Still, we purchased category 5, top-of-the-line windows from NewSouth and their installation team was incredibly good. The windows are of super quality. NewSouth products are the best that people can buy. Their products' mechanics are the best that I've ever worked with. Though their windows are the highest priced product on the market, other than that, they're great.

I wanted a good window and I had a couple of other quotes which weren't quite as expensive as NewSouth's. But since I believed NewSouth's advertisement, I went with them. I did have problems with the first set, though. I had a bathroom window installed and I was surprised that they didn’t know the bottom pane on a new window had to be tempered glass. There was nothing wrong with the windows except there was wrong glass in it. Whoever was taking care of that didn’t order it and I failed inspection. I was a little disappointed. I finally got ahold of somebody and got the window straightened out in May.
Other than that, I'm very happy with NewSouth. I was satisfied with the window and it's a good feature that if we sell the house, the guarantee goes with the new owner. The sales person was also a nice young man and he knew his job. He explained everything to us and we were very happy with him that in spite of the trouble we had, we went back with NewSouth Window for the last four.

After getting estimates from other window retailers, my husband and I felt that NewSouth's windows were of better quality although they weren't the lowest estimate. So, I had them replace a large living room window, two bedroom windows and a bathroom window. John was their rep who came to the house and he was very knowledgable about his products. He completely went over everything and answered all our questions. We appreciated his patience with us. It was a big purchase for us as we wanted to be prepped for hurricane season.
However, I wasn’t sure how I was gonna like my new living room window at first because when he described it to me the size would be going in to a bigger window. Still, the way that my windows are I didn’t have much of a choice. But after the windows got installed, I've been totally happy with it. Their installation team was great and I could tell that this wasn’t their first time. Even before they took out my old windows, they re-measured to make sure everything was just right. Their guy told me that if they took out my old windows and the new ones don't fit, I wouldn't want to be cold in my house. They were in and out of my place in no time. We'll be calling NewSouth back to do the rest of the windows at my house.

The sales rep brought in a demo and put a heat lamp next to it, and that helped out a lot in deciding. Also, the installers were on time when they said they were supposed to be and everything went real well. Now I don't hear the German Shepherd next door barking all night anymore.

I purchased double-hung windows from NewSouth Window Solutions. I liked the salesman. He was great, explained everything for me. Also, the workers were fabulous. They were in and out in no time at all. However, I have some problems and they have yet to come out to fix them. I had bought three sets of French doors and on the 22nd, it would be two months since I've had them in here and NewSouth has not yet come out to help me open them. French doors open one way but I can't open these. Not one set would open for me. Their guy showed me how once, but I can't get them open.
They have yet to schedule a time to come in. I got a call on the 10th and that was last time I heard from their guy. He said that this little screen which I ordered for my kitchen window wasn't ready yet. That time, I must've called and texted them about six times before I got an answer. It's been 12 days now. To wait for all of this for the screen is ridiculous.
I also have one double-hung window that when my daughter opens the bottom, the front top falls. So, that has to be fixed. Furthermore, the lock is really hard on the kitchen door going out to my patio. They also have to tone that lock down. I spent $27,000 on getting absolutely every window repaired in my house. I didn’t have any more windows to buy, so I couldn’t have been a better customer. Still, I didn’t have enough to come out. After I just paid $27,000 to fix my door, would I really think that if I had to call them, they would gonna be here? I'll be waiting another six years and I'm not happy with that.
While my main complaint is that I want to use my French doors as French doors, everything is fine. The doors are beautiful. I just would like to know if these are able to be opened. If they were put in right or he said maybe they're sealing on the bottom and they kinda get a little glued up and they'd have to come and do it. However, once NewSouth gets a customer, they don't help them out. They say these are life-long. I can't even get them out here to help me.
Thank you for revising your review, it means a lot to us. Thank you for being a NewSouth customer!

We did plenty of shopping and we looked at everything from Andersen Windows, to Pella, to a couple of others, and we compared NewSouth to everybody. They got very high reviews, so we went to that direction. The sales rep came up with a much better pricing and worked with us when we told him our budget. So, we picked the right proposal and we were off and running. We got multiple windows, a telescoping patio door and another side patio entrance. They looked super pretty and they were also easy to clean and to pop in and out if you need to clean them. Plus, the unit did a great job in installation and cleanup. One of the windows they did in the kitchen area had some window rot into the frame itself and the guys reframed it right there. So I didn't even have to call another contractor to come fix it.
We’re remodeling the house and having an addition built into it. I called and spoke to a different sales rep and told him exactly what we wanted. It was a duplicate of one of the kitchen windows but I needed the bars between the windows. He was gonna get me a quote and I have not heard back. But they were great and I would recommend them.
Thank you for the kind words..we are glad to hear you are enjoying your window and the installation was seamless. Hope the rest of your home renovation goes smoothly, and we will make sure your sales rep connects regarding the extra window.
Thanks for being our customer. #NewSouthProud!

I've had two separate installations from NewSouth Window Solutions. One a few years ago for just a couple of windows and then I came back and got the rest of them done this time. The first time, I had no issues at all. This time the only issue was that I was called last minute and offered, "We had a cancellation of schedule for tomorrow. So would you like to go ahead and schedule it?" And I said, "Yeah, sure. Then let's go ahead and do that." And not realizing that I needed to check the weather, which has a 90 percent chance of rain the next day. Apparently the one before me that cancelled was thinking about that. It was just a last minute stuff.
So I tried to call back and get feedback and figure out if it was a good idea or not to even schedule it on a rainy day. I didn't get a sales agent and just got the receptionist that was playing phone tag between the people and me, and relayed the message, "It's fine, we have no problem, the installers are professionals, they know what they are doing." So, the guys got there early, did their job and it ended up raining shortly after they left and got finished. And just as I was worried, all the caulking that they had done didn't really have time to cure. So some of it did run down the wall and left little pockets of holes that I had to go back and fill in myself. So that was the only real issue I had. They were still professional, were on time and did their thing. But it came off weird to me that I never got a call directly from the sales rep to quiet my concerns about the rain. And then the stuff I was worried about actually happened.
I liked what I heard about NewSouth and I went with it because the salesman that came out to my house was very professional, informative and answered all my questions. He was also the same guy that I called to come back out. But it was a different person who called me to schedule the install. So far, everything still went fine, I've got new windows and I'm happy. It's just that there were a couple of windows that I'm still waiting for someone to come out and do a couple of things because the little pieces were facing the wrong way. It's not a big deal. Everything is functional, everything is secure and efficient. But there are extra things this time that I definitely didn't have to deal with the first time considering I'm paying twice as much as I paid the first time because I'm getting more windows done. And I came back because I trusted the service and all the great things that happened the first time.
They did tell me though that the service would be about five weeks. I was in touch with them because the paperwork that they gave me said that they would contact me within 48 hours to schedule a final inspection. Three days went by, I reached out and called them because I hadn't gotten a phone call and they said, "Oh yeah, we're really far behind on our paperwork but we're working on it. And you've got plenty of time to get to final inspection done." So it's not a worry of regulation. They were just behind on work. Also, the rep got me on the phone with the service manager who said, "We've got these two things on these two windows, and it will be about five weeks before we can get out there. But we'll call you to schedule it."
I'm not sure exactly how long it's been, if it's been five weeks. But I'm not too worried about it because everything functions fine and there's no leak. So I'm overall happy. I just wanna make sure it gets complete in every way. I would give cautious recommendation about NewSouth. I would give others detailed instructions of what to ask. What to check before you schedule. It was my learning experience. Nonetheless, my overall experience with NewSouth Window Solutions was good.
First of all, thank you for being a repeat NewSouth customer. We really appreciate you, and the feedback you gave about the process-- especially the 2nd time around. We apologize for how the weather affected the install and the caulking...it's sometimes a hard thing to work around. We are glad to hear you are happy with the windows and NewSouth at the end of the day.
We will double check on the service of the windows for you-- just to make sure all is well. Thank you for your business and for being our customer.

We got a recommendation from my sister to use Windows, but we had other people come as well giving us prices and what have you. And then, we ended up going with NewSouth Windows, got the high-impact windows and all of that is great. It's phenomenal! I love it! I've had friends in my neighborhood who have seen it and they're like, "Man! These look really nice," and they do! The crew that came over is an independent contractor. It was him and his wife, and he had some other people. I talked with him and the wife and they were very nice. They were here 12 hours.
I would recommend NewSouth for the windows and the price, but not for the sales and the service because this has been a nightmare for us. I had a salesman come over who looked at everything, did the measurements and we did the price. Then, next time we know, he's gone. Then, we turned around. He was an older gentleman and I don't like his attitude. And then, another person came and he was very nice. We went over this and that, and then he came back to do some other things. But he was also gone. So, we had two salesmen and both of them just left.
This started October-November of last year. We had to have a manager come over because I was already teed off that I was getting a runaround. We went more as far as on the house than what we were wanting to do but we just decided to go ahead and do it. But every time, I have to call, "What's going on?" "Oh, well, it's being worked on." "Okay. That's what you all told me a long time ago." Then it was, "Oh, well, they moved their warehouse." "You know what? That's not my fault. That's not my problem." Everything was a delay! I was pissed with all the service that I've gotten from the place! Because you would leave a message, they don't get back with you. Or they call my husband and I go, "I gave you my phone number! Why are you calling my husband? He's on the road! You're calling him, and I'm the one who's at home!"
And then, finally, they came. They would be here between this time and this time. The contractor was here and was on time. He was great. He worked his crew good and he worked them hard. They told me two to three days and the guy did it in one day. He enclosed a whole sunroom, had to knock down whatever was there and rebuild, and all of that was great! They did all the work. But because it was late at night when they left, you can't see a lot of the stuff when they did it and I'm not pleased at any of the caulking.
It was terrible because now I have to hire somebody to paint all the trimming because they went way out of line! It's like markings on it. It's not clean. And I showed the guy, "Look! Even in my sunroom when they put the caulking on the trimming, there's a bunch even on my tiles! I'm not gonna get on my hands and knees and start scraping it!" And then, when they threw all those long strips that have to go, they made them on the floor or on the windowsill and they're literally stuck inside the caulking because they had so much of it! It's not like, "Okay. I'm gonna go in now and do all this trimming." We're almost at our 60's and we can't be doing that!
I understand it was at night and they did my job in the dark, but that's not my fault! The guy went to go do another job for the next day. They make more money! They did it too fast to move on to another job to get paid. If they would have taken their time, it wouldn't be as bad of a job. But when you're trying to hurry it up, there you go! They need to not rush it because people put a lot of freaking money on this! I spent $28,000-$30,000 and that's not a little chunk of change. It's not like I just gave them $30,000 out of my pocket. They're gonna keep redoing it until I like it!
Also, they need to be nice! I am a perfectionist to a point. I understand not everything could be like the way I want it. But, come on! You got a little hole in the wood and they're just gonna put a putty thing over it and I'm supposed to see that? That's nasty! And the guy went, "Well, I did kind of explain some of this stuff." And I went, "No, that's not the point! I don't like this!" And when I have a brown wall, and white caulking that's literally on my wall, it's very noticeable!
Also, I told NewSouth when they came on one of the days that they brought the wrong doorknob to my door so they had to come back for that. One guy did come and he cleaned up a little bit, he put in my doorknob, looked at the windows, and he saw there were two big bolt things that were missing off my door. But that wasn't put in either. Then, the guy said, "The door has to be painted." And I was like, "Say, what? They never told me that!" So, now I'm told I have to paint this white door that they installed which nobody told me when I bought it that this is a door that's gonna have to be painted. I would have bought a painted door! We're not young people to be doing the work!
He said he would be back after inspection where they have to turn around and then redo all this stuff. When they come here to do this touching up, they're gonna be hearing it from me. NewSouth has the people that come and do the touch-ups but the ones who actually install the windows are subcontractors and that's the problem. They don't have a control over that. I found out that the window can tilt inwards so you can clean the outside. I told my mom they showed me that and that's the coolest thing. Then she went, "Your sister never said she had anything like that." My sister had no idea if hers even had that. Nobody ever showed her that. I asked the one guy and he said they're all like that. I said, "Well, they never showed my sister. She's had hers for a year and doesn't even know about it."
They're not communicating because they're independent contractors installing it. While the one guy was doing it and cleaning up or doing whatever, his wife showed me. "This is how you open it." She was really sweet. They never did that with my sister. Also, it took my sister's house two or three days but she had only six windows. My house is double the size, plus I did a whole enclosure, and they did mine in one day. That's a big difference. And then, my sister had to had them come back because it didn't pass inspections for her and they had to redo.
Thank you Terri Pijuan, this is good information about the caulk and the communication with the service...,and we will make sure the installation department knows about this.
We are very glad that you love your impact window, and you and even your neighbors notice the difference and recognize the quality of the windows. AS you know you are protected with a lifetime warranty, and we look forward to serving you and your sister for as long as you own NewSouth Products.Thank you for being our customer!

I am very happy with NewSouth Window Solutions! Their advertisement went to Josephine's house and she brought them here. I was looking to put a new window in the house and I had two estimates. One estimate was a wise guy. I didn't like the way he was speaking and the way he wanted me to sign a contract so I called somebody else for impact windows. He came here and gave me the price which was $1000 higher. So then, when NewSouth Window's men came here, we talked. One of them did the test in the windows, the one they bring with them, and they're strong and light.
I said to him, "My friend, this is the estimate from the other guy. This is what I had. I got my choice. I give you $11,000 and I give you $5000 deposit right now, a check!" Then he said, "I have to call my office" and he did, and they told him all right. There was no Visa, no credit card. Then they sent somebody and I signed the contract. Two people came and they checked the measurements in the windows. It took while before they make the windows, but they got done. I understand they're very busy right now. I'm satisfied with the installation and everything else.
I like the windows. They're very heavy windows, which is good. I'm happy and always will be because you can tell they are good windows. I am very satisfied and I will recommend them to someone else. If I come across with somebody who wants to put up windows, with my pleasure, I'll recommend them and I will give them the phone number. I can bring them more business that way. I thank them for a good service they gave me. I have the inspection done today and everything is all right. On the 29th between 11:00 to 1 o'clock, they will send somebody to put the blocks and the windows.
Dear Kyriakos,
Thank you for taking the time to let people know about the quality of windows, thank you being our customer and for your recommendation. We are proud of the windows we make, and we happy to back them up with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the windows.

Sign up and put deposit money down in Jan of 2017 for new windows... Agreed to wait until March. It's May 17th, and still waiting... Not even given a date that they will be ready... And they do not communicate with you at all. I have to keep calling. Very unprofessional. Growing too fast I guess but sure won't last at the way they are doing business. Be smart. Find another company.

We like NewSouth's windows and they surely made their effort to stay in touch with us and they've been so good about taking care of the problems. We looked into two other companies, their competitors, and NewSouth's prices were comparable and I preferred their window to theirs. Also, NewSouth's sales rep gave me a breakdown on the estimate of each window. Whereas, the other one just wrote a figure in the back of a card as the overall cost and the other one really didn't even do that. So it was a bit more professionally done by NewSouth. Their rep had a little more experience and we ended up purchasing their Hurricane windows. However, in the initial proposal, there was a bit of a gray area but it's no big deal. We'd just like to be upfront with everything when it's possible. Also, I'm only used to giving final payment after the job is complete and that wasn't the case with them. But because the company is dependable, it worked out.
On the other hand, the quality seems to be very good. Also, they did a wonderful job with the installation. It was a very difficult job trying to redo what was already there. But the installers worked very hard and they cleaned up after themselves. Overall, we were satisfied with the initial sales person, with the installation, and how they came back and corrected a few minor things that were a problem. We will recommend them to others. As a matter of fact, somebody came by the house while they were working. And my wife and I talked to them and told them that we were very happy with everything. Another thing, I did ask them to send me a hard copy or print out of the initial order and the fact that it was paid in full. However, I haven't gotten that. I wish they would send me the invoice because my printers aren't working and I don't wanna buy new ink. I'm really happy with NewSouth Window Solutions.

When I talked to a guy, he said that NewSouth Window Solutions was a locally-owned place and they call the parts here. Also, it intrigued me and I thought if there's anything wrong that they would be somebody I could call and talk to and get things fixed. I purchased two main doors and two sliding patio doors and the quality is very good. I would tell my friends to use them. We weren't dissatisfied with the overall experience but their installers could have done a better job.
I had some miscommunication with the sales rep on when they were going to come to the house and do the work. There might have been some miscommunication as to who was talking with who and what. I knew it had to be done before we left back for up north. But the rep was very apologetic for the problem and it was corrected, and things were taken care of. Also, it seems to take a little while to get ahold of the salesperson because he was out on calls a lot. Then we had some installation problems and I'm really disappointed in the installation crew. It was getting late and they were late getting there that day. They were supposed to be there at 8 o'clock but they didn't get there until 10:00. They were there until it was dark. The people that spent all day installing the stuff gave us five minutes to look at it and see if there's anything wrong that we can fix and take care of.
And it wasn't a consistent overall experience. There were some installation problems that could have been done better and that they could have taken care of. One door was put in very well. One was kinda submitted into our patio pavers and we had to chip that out ourselves. There were a couple of issues that we took care of ourselves before they even called the service person at that point, and I don't know whether they were just in a hurry that day or what. And then, after a couple of days, they call and ask if there are any issues. And then, they have a service guy that comes out and takes care of all the issues. He took care of them not to my complete satisfaction but sufficiently. After the service guy was there and took care of most of the stuff, everything turned out okay.
Thank you Mr. Salchak for taking the time to give us the feedback. I'd glad to hear that everything was handled by the service man, and that you are happy with the quality of the doors. We will share the feedback with the team, and use it to improve and smooth out parts of the process. Thank you for being a NewSouth customer!

I like NewSouth's quality so I went with them and had them install a total of 21 windows of different kinds, two sliding glass doors, about a total of five panels and four exterior doors, three with impact glass. The quality has been good so far and I noted a big reduction in electric bill. However, my installation experience was terrible. Although I signed the contract in October, I didn't want the windows installed until April. Their reps gave me a call and told me, "We have all your stuff. So why don't you let us come?" So I said, "Okay, you can come." And this was in February the 20th. So, their installers showed up and of the 26 windows, eight had to be redone because there was something wrong with them. And they didn't come back until the 9th of April, because they were switching over the factory to the new Italian machines and he didn't assign me a great priority and just left me hanging.
They've finally finished the job, almost, about two weeks ago. However, there are still some parts missing on one of the sliding glass doors, which supposedly have come in now from the factory. And I'm waiting for a call to find out when they gonna be installed. So it's been a nightmare. The eight windows that were wrong in February weren't replaced until two months later. So that wasn't too great at all. I wound up complaining to the general manager, which brought the fire onto the guys a bit. He got everybody together and devised a plan to keep things moving. Their installers were very nice though and I enjoyed working with them. It's just that they are very busy because the windows are in great demand, especially with the hurricane season is coming. But it has taken them a long time to get their stuff together and make me happy. In fact, I've already paid for the whole thing.
And, in order to get the federal rebate from TECO, you have to take off the stickers that come on the windows. But the stickers on sliding panels can't be taken off. They have to be scraped off because for some reason, they glued on solid. So when you take them off, you destroy them. So the technician who was doing that, took pictures on his phone on those stickers before he scraped them off the glass. He asked me for my email address so he can send them to me but it has taken two weeks to get pictures of those stickers.

Our experience with NewSouth Window Solutions was good. However, the inspection failed the first time, which if they have watched, would have been done properly. Because when the inspector came, he said they missed putting screws or bolts in some of the windows and they should have never forgotten to do that. And they missed about seven. One or two, I can understand, but seven, that's a lot. They should make sure everything is done right. Otherwise, they were good. They cleaned up everything well.
The salesman, John, said better things about NewSouth windows even though they were higher in price. Otherwise, I could have gone with the other guys and did the whole 16 windows for the same price that I paid them for eight. John was very good, polite and he answered all the questions that I asked. I like the quality of their window. The installation team was kind, very cooperative and they knew what they were doing. But they should have finished the job or shou've said that, "Look, we didn't finish it. Maybe one of the installers will come back and finish it because it's not done yet." But they didn't. When I was in a technical business, if somebody did that to me, I won't give an order again. That's how I worked. But I'm not gonna do that with NewSouth Window because I saw the way the other guys from the other companies worked. I went to see a couple of houses where they worked and NewSouth window was stronger.
However, I wanted to cut the bill in half because I couldn't afford the $23,000. My wife decided that we should not do two little windows. So I called John and I said, "The contract be changed to delete those two windows." When a new contract was emailed, my wife called and explained that I could not sign the contract immediately since I was at my daughter's for seven days. My wife sent me the new signed contract and I mailed it from Holly Hill, Florida. When I returned home and my wife showed me all of the statements from Medicare that we might be responsible of the thousands, I realized that there was no way I could go ahead with the windows as planned.
I called John and explained it. I said, "Just do the living room windows as there's no way I could afford to do all of them. Then, I got this letter with zero interest and 9.9% interest. I cannot do this as I have five of the loans outstanding, plus what doctors want with Medicare. Everything happened after I put the contract in. I wasn't getting anywhere and my step-daughter is on dialysis so I went down here to talk to the general manager, the guy that's in charge. But he didn't come out of his office and refused to give me any break as far as the contract. I didn't wanna go to a lawyer and spend more time, but I wanted the windows still.
I begged NewSouth for mercy to void this contract and promised to proceed to the additional windows when I can. Since I am 85 years old, I really cannot enter into any loans that I may not be able to pay, and I cannot lose my home. Finally, I got a call that John talked to the ownership and they agreed to do it for half of the windows. Although I could have fought legitimately and got away with it, I didn't because I really wanted the windows for hurricane purposes. The general manager should have come out and talked to me that day and he didn't. He knew we were having a problem and he won't come out and talk to me. I was very upset about that. That's the only complaint I really had. If I wanted to do it again, I would do it with a different manager.

Our windows were installed on January 9th and failed inspection on January 19th because the front two were not tempered glass as required for their size and height. I was very disappointed that a company doing business in our county didn't know the regulations. Then it took until April 18th for them to make and bring out replacement windows. When they showed up it was discovered they weren't the right size!!! After waiting 3 months, we still do not have the job completed.
Now I'm being told, they will be ready the end of next week, but I have been given so many quick estimates of time throughout this process, I frankly, don't believe them. It is beyond me how they can make the windows wrong twice and a job that was started in January is still now completed at the end of April. Our order was put in in October so we have been dealing with them for 6 months now. We got an estimate for sliding glass doors when we ordered all of our windows, but we will not use this company again! To add to that, when they installed one of the bedroom windows it was discovered that is was missing the spring. Confused how a window without a spring could even leave the factory.
Sharon, we do apologize for the frustrations you have experienced with your project. I do see that there were some delays and miscommunication on the manufacturing side and we are working diligently to get those issues resolved. We have put a rush on your order and we should be ready for installation in 2-3 weeks. If you have any other questions, please call into the office and we will direct you to the appropriate person. Have a great day!

We had 14 windows replaced with 12 by NewSouth Window Solutions. The windows were manufactured local I preferred them. Their sales rep, John, was very good. He was not pushy but persuasive enough and described their product fairly well. I was very happy with John. But their inspections twice. Their service department and installation crew doesn't seem to communicate to each other. So I’ve had multiple people come out, one from service and one from installation, to try to fix problems when service didn't know that the installation people are coming out. It just seems ridiculous how they don’t talk.
When first time it failed, service sent somebody out to fix it. So they sent out Benjamin. He fixed what was noted on the failure but he didn’t give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. The windows wouldn’t open and when he first looked at it he said, “Well, it’s just a little stiff.” Then he came along and said, “Maybe I’ll just adjust this lock set on there.” And that helped it out. But he said, “The salesman should have not just one type of thing to demonstrate because not all the windows open as easier." But some of the other windows open as smooth as can be. So, if some of them open smoothly and they’ve never been used before, then all the windows would open smoothly. I think that’s a ** answer on your service guy.
Then after it failed the second time, I got a phone call from somebody that said they’d come out that day and we were not out there. We have two places so I told them, “Okay. We’ll be out then on Tuesday.” So come Monday, all of a sudden, I had to take my wife to the doctors so I called up NewSouth and got over to Cody, which I guess is in charge of service department. He didn’t know anything about somebody coming out on Tuesday but he said he had no appointments for Tuesday. But they did have somebody come out the following Tuesday so I said, “That’s fine.”
We got back from the doctors and within about a half-hour being back from the doctors, somebody called me. Not the one I set up with Cody for the following Tuesday but the one originally set up. It was three people from the installation team that came out to “fix the problem with the failure.” And then the following Tuesday again, somebody else came out from service. If you look on the internet, service is one of the issues highlighted by just about everybody that have bought their windows like with the sudden delays. They still have one window to replace for me too that was scratched on when it was installed. They supposedly have it on order. That was even another thing. When I talked to Cody, the service manager, his guy Benjamin said it was too deep to buff out. So it was gonna have to be replaced and he looked at it twice.
And yet Cody, who said he’d talk to Benjamin, his own guy, said he was gonna send someone out to buff it. I said, “Cody said twice it can’t be buffed out.” And then after he looked in the records and measured the window for me, he said, “We have a window on order.” So they are not really well organized and they don’t talk. I’m going to see if they fail the third time.

Roughly two weeks after hurricane Irma my wife and I stopped at NewSouth Windows showroom and made an appointment for their salesman to come to our home to give us an estimate for impact-resistant windows. We needed to upgrade the 28-year-old windows in our older, recently purchased home. He was prompt, gave his sales pitch, we felt the windows excellent quality, and made the deal. Their measurement team came by within the next week. We were given a time frame of about 6 weeks for them to manufacture and install the windows. About two weeks later they called to modify our order since Charlotte County Building Dept. would not provide a building permit based upon the windows ordered for our master bedroom. We accepted the modification, calling for casement instead of the single hung windows initially ordered, and signed/returned the addendum to our contract. Everything went fine, so far.
About 8 weeks later I called their office regarding installation and left a message. It was returned several days later, and we were given an installation date the following week. Their 2 man crew arrived early that day and explained it would probably take 2 days to complete the job. So far, so good. By late morning we became aware of problems, not with the installation crew, but with the windows they were given by the warehouse to install in our home. Of the 11 windows we ordered with a $5,000 deposit, 5 were correct and 6 were incorrect, were the wrong type of windows.
To complicate matters, we only realized this after two of the "wrong" windows were installed in our master bedroom. These were the single hung windows, instead of the casement windows required by the county and specified on the building permit. We stopped the crew before they removed and installed the other four incorrect windows. We had four correct windows and two incorrect windows installed out the 11 we ordered. The crew left with our second payment and told us we should expect to have the errors corrected and proper windows installed by the first of the year, 2018.
Without going into more specific details, in order to have this job completed it was necessary for me to return to the showroom, meet with the manager, follow that meeting with repeated phone calls, and emails, before the job was eventually completed, and the inspected and approved by Charlotte County Building Dept. by the end of March 2018. Had I not done this I am certain we would still be waiting for our windows. With this kind of customer service I wonder how they are still in business. They most certainly will never get a referral from me, instead I will tell any and everyone I meet to steer clear of NewSouth Window Solutions unless they want nothing but headaches and poor customer service!

The first person from NewSouth Window Solutions that came through and gave us the estimate appeared to know what he was doing. But I did not like that in their ads, they’ll say, “You buy two and you get one free.” I cannot figure out where that happened and then they play with the numbers at the bottom so you don’t know what’s happening. You just assume maybe they held up what they said. They juggle the numbers around to make it look like they’re taking off $3,000 and they’ll point and say, “There’s one. There’s two. That one’s three.” But they don’t do that when it says you buy two and get one free. Also, the sales rep did not communicate anything. He just did his little arithmetic, played with his numbers, and then said, “This is your bill.” And we did not get doors.
The installation team was good and knew what they were doing. They had everything out on the same day. There was so much banging and counting. We just said, “Thank God they’re through and they’re gone.” But I’m a little disappointed. The windows appeared to be fine. I thought they were gonna be darker than they are and that I could not see in at night and I would not have to have curtains. But I found out that’s not happening and that’s not true. I have some issues I need to call them and have them come back and fix. Despite this, we liked it better than the other company we looked at.
Hi Celia, we would like to apologize for the events you described, and thank you for the information. We’d like to learn more about your specific situation and make things right. If you wouldn’t mind giving us a call at (813) 616-6000 at your earliest convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you and answering any questions you may have.

NewSouth is local from our area and they do a good bit of advertising. They’re made locally and they make a good window for this type of climate. The salesperson that came was from the town we just moved from and it was very nice with him. He sort of had a great follow-through the whole way to make sure that we had the best price and if there were any specials. We ordered the hurricane windows which is important to us and we also had a low-E. And we had a very fair price.
The installation crew was great. It’s an older house and nothing is square, so we think that some of the installs were difficult for them but they did a great job. They were in and out in the day. We thought it would even take a little bit longer than that. And they were pretty clean. Then, they had a follow-up guy after the inspection and he did the rest of the work. He noticed while he was here that one of the windows didn't have the right size. It doesn’t lay correctly in the frame, so he ordered a new frame for us and we’re waiting for them to come out and finish that. We were happy with the work and we were happy with the time frame.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We will make sure to get this feedback to the team! We are #NewSouthProud of their work.
