I set off my alarm for the first time by accident and realized there were several things about my system that needed to be tweaked. Among other things it was beeping without telling me why. First I tried the chat, that wasn't at all helpful. On the phone it took a very long time to get through a gauntlet of robots but I eventually got through to a human being who was absolutely wonderful and solved all my problems. He gets 5 stars. The robots get -1.

Brinks is expensive, but I will say the camera quality is amazing, had major hiccups setting up. Took a few months to get it resolved but, after the issues got worked out I have been very happy with brinks overall. The Support team is very helpful when you have issues and if you're not fully satisfied ask for the executive team. They will fix it. The only flaw I have is the response time when they alarm goes off is way too slow and could cost valuable seconds in getting you help. They need to improve that.

The technical support agent was courteous, and knowledgeable of the equipment and system and remotely in a few minutes solved my problem with my cameras. I am very thankful and pleased with this service.

I have been with Brinks since 2014. They raise the rates without telling you. They claim to send an email, but funny that I've never received one of these emails (I do get other Brinks emails). When I call in, I'm told they emailed me on XX date, but when I say I never received an email, they respond with 'Did you receive something in the mail?'. OK, which is it - you emailed me or you USPS mailed me something? Funny that they have a date of the email, but then really don't seem to know how I was supposedly notified.
Then, today, the first rep said I was on a 'month-to-month contract', but when he transferred me to another rep, they stated that to be on a 'contract', you're signing up for a specific term. So, you have two different 'contracts'? Also beware that if you sign up for a 'contract', you cannot cancel, UNLESS you want to pay for the remaining months. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT, but luckily I work in procurement, so I knew to ask. Again, trying to catch people on the sly - seems awfully shady! I won't be looking for another service, if this is how they treat someone who has been with them since 2014.

We moved to another state while still under contract with Brinks. The reinstall went well with few exceptions, no fault of the installer. The service system works smoothly and the agents very knowledgeable and compassionate.

The representative was helpful and resolved my issue and answered my questions. From the moment the call started, they demonstrated patience, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to assist. I truly appreciated how they took the time to carefully listen to my concerns without rushing me or brushing anything off. Every question I asked—no matter how small—was answered thoroughly and clearly, making me feel confident and informed about the next steps.
What stood out most was how courteous and knowledgeable they were throughout the interaction. Not only did they address the issue I initially called about, but they also went above and beyond to make sure there were no other potential concerns. Their ability to explain things in a straightforward manner really helped me understand the situation and feel more comfortable with the resolution.
In today’s world, it’s rare to come across a customer service representative who is both technically skilled and genuinely kind. In my recent experience, tech support was exceptional. I was cheerfully and slowly walked through the problem I reported until all was resolved. And then the representative asked what else he could assist with, helping me with testing matters and battery replacements. He helped calm and reassure me in an unrushed call.

I had to reconfigure my entire security system due to a change in internet settings. I was not able to figure it out so I had to suck it up and call customer support for assistance. Demetri was incredibly knowledgeable and patient! Knew exactly how to maneuver the system to best help my situation. Calling customer support should always be this direct and quick. He even went above and beyond and figure out how to add an old z wave device that had be out of use for two years!

I signed a contract in January. Only the control panel was installed with the promise that the cameras were back ordered. It is now April and my system is not completed. I know it's not Brinks directly but I am paying for a incomplete service.

Ms. ** was extremely courteous & personal assistance me. I was very nervous because I didn't quite understood the direction she was related to me however, after she sense I was nervous she kindly explained to me that it will be okay that I could take my time & together the task was accomplished. I was having issue with my doorbell, not being able to hear it when someone was at the door. I explained that if I was in my bedroom, I wasn't aware that someone was at the door. After explaining my problem to customer service and the fact that I am not very good with my phone, the young lady whom I spoke with was very helpful. I felt at ease as she worked on my problem. I would recommend Brinks any day to any that has an issue with technology.

The representative of I spoke to on the phone about a list of problems with my system was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and helpful. She knew exactly how to remedy the problem and we were able to do so jointly on the first try. Excellent service! She should get a promotion or a raise, or both!

I was considering Brinks to provide home security service. My sales agent, Luis **, never got back with me to schedule my installation. I emailed him to follow-up with him regarding the day and time and he said it would be Monday April 14th between 12:30-5. When nobody showed up that day I contacted him & his manager, Alex **. I was unable to reach them so I called Brinks directly and they told me the installation was for Thursday. I explained to them that I had a email from Luis with the day & time for Monday from 12:30-5.
I later that evening spoke to Luis & Alex and they played dumb, I'm not sure they were playing though sting that the installation was scheduled for Thursday. I explained that I have the email that said Monday & that it is a legal document. I forwarded this to Alex, the Sales Manager expecting him to help, since he is the Sales Manager. He was less than helpful and extremely rude. He said it the installation was scheduled for Thursday. I explained that we took Monday off work for the installation and now you expect us to take another day off when it was your mistake. I asked for a Saturday installation and when I didn't hear back from him I called Brinks myself.
After numerous hours and phone calls with Brinks the scheduling department was able to get me a Saturday installation. I asked Alex to cover the remaining balance for the new keypad and he replied that he already went above and beyond to get me a Saturday installation. I explained that I got the Saturday installation and I did his job and he had nothing to do with helping me get the Saturday installation. Not once did they ever apologize or admit they made a mistake. I asked him for his Manager's name and phone number and I never heard from him again. I will now be using Brinks for many reasons. I would recommend that you stay far away! Of this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how horribly they treat their current customers.

I called into the monitoring service to place my alarm in test mode so I could change the batteries in my key FOBs. The young lady that assisted me stayed on the line and walked me through a test of my system after I had replaced the batteries. I initially had worried that there would be a tamper alarm given when I opened the back of the key FOB. She was very kind and patient with me as I prepared my home to test the alarm system arming/disarming of our system utilizing the key FOB after I had changed the batteries. She remained on the line until I was fully satisfied with her knowledge and service.

I would recommend Brinks to anyone who asks for a referral. They have always been professional and courteous in my dealings with customer service. We have never experienced any kind of problem with our system. We have always had a quick response when we have dealt with customer service due to concerns on our part. When it came to cancellation the representative we dealt with was nice. I am so glad because the new service that we were pushed into hasn’t responded to any of my requests since we signed with them.

The agent was very helpful in explaining the terms of my contract. Brinks has been an important part of the security of my home. They are fast on receiving the alarm, even when it was just my dog, and helping to improve the usage of the sensors.

The battery in my door sensor needed to be replaced and the alarm system kept giving me a warning message. I called customer service and got an immediate response. I had never replaced the battery and was nervous about handling the task and the alarm going off. The representative was receptive, patient and told me they would stay on the line to walk me through it. Fortunately, I had a battery, they were ready to walk me through the process without my alarm going off. I was extremely satisfied and it went quicker than I thought.

I am a new customer to Brinks. Two months into my coverage, I feel I'm at home with the correct alarm company. I inherited a 20-plus year alarm company relationship via my parents' choosing. It was good. However, they never attempted to try to update the coverage so when I took over a whole new world opened for me. I went through a brief "hiccup" process with two other alarm companies before a "perfect timing" door-to-door effort on the part of a "go-getter" and very nice Brinks Area Manager, named David **. Gave me his best-selling points of what he could improve on with my home security based on any prior experience I had had. I was very pleased with the professional, knowledgeable, and caring persona that David ** presented to me. Just as important, I spoke to my neighbor for additional feedback prior to my pending appointment. She stated she was very happy with the setup and service she continued to receive from Brinks.
Fast forward to my experience today. I had the wonderful pleasure of speaking with an exceptional young lady named, Mari, who was a Tech Support Level 3. She was informative, very thorough in explaining the one thing I wanted and needed to add to my alarm setup. Matter of fact, Mari was downright delightful! By the end of our conversation which began as a quick billing question, which she answered successfully. By the end of our short conversation, I happily had a Brinks alarm system warranty added to my monthly billing. It only cost me $16 ($15.99) more a month. But more importantly, Mari had a gift for explaining, in layman's terms, the advantages of having a warranty vs not. Mari made my day and I told her she is such a blessing to the Brinks' family. I hope they value both her and David ** presence. I do. And I expect to enjoy a long and enjoyable relationship with this company. Thank you, Brinks!

The technician Nicholas was very professional and patient with my issue of the smoke constant beeping. He was very informative and assisted in helping me troubleshoot the problem. Problem resolved currently. Technician instructed me to call for additional assistance when new smoke detector is installed.

The customer service representative did a wonderful job addressing my IQ Panel issue. From my understanding, a needed reboot push was needed to get the panel back online. So my panel won’t connect to radio signals so they say it’s a faulty panel which I have to purchase $500. Mind you I’m with Brinks for 8 years, not happy. I can understand if it’s broken or damaged but it’s radio signal connection so why I have to purchase a new one.

I was in need of getting my alarm permit which was needed for the area in which I live. I was advised to go to a website which then took me to crywolfservices.com. After 4 attempts of trying to fill in the info, I kept getting the response "denied". So I called Brinks back and spoke with Ashley **. She could tell how frustrated I was. She figured out it was probably because I was using my cell phone instead of my ancient desktop computer. I apparently wasn't seeing everything on my screen to complete it. At any rate, she went over & above her duties (in my opinion), went to that website & filled out the registration for me! Almost immediately, I received the much-needed alarm permit nbr. I cannot express how much I appreciated her help, and hope her boss and company realize how valuable an employee she is. More companies need good employees like her. Thank you again, Ashley! The service that I originally purchased was through a different provider and then was bought by Brinks. I did not have any issues with the service itself. Changing internet providers became a challenge to get system to connect. The issue I have is, cancelation is done electronically, yet I was told it takes 30 days to cancel service. This means that I am being charged additionally, which is not right. The date of cancelation should be when it is requested period.

We’ve had a pending alarm installation at our cabin in Fountain Lake, Arkansas since October, 2024. It is now April, 2025. Despite two installation attempts with the wrong equipment and many attempted calls to rectify the situation, we are having difficulty getting someone to return our calls in a timely manner and to follow through with things promised. In desperation, yesterday we reached out to the initial sales person who was very apologetic and promised that he would figure out what was going on and someone would call us by the end of the day yesterday. Once again, no one called. We’re loyal Brinks customers (we also have a system at our primary home) and would love a resolution. Can someone from Brinks please help? We want Brinks to finish the job they started. We simply need someone responsible to oversee the final steps.

I needed to test my security system, it failed. Contacted Brinks, the young lady was very helpful. The conclusion was I needed a new panel. Decided to use it as a deterrent until I could replace it. I can still arm and disarm the system, it's just not communicating with Brinks, but I do also have security cameras.

Staff was helpful at first but after contract completion would not allow me to cancel contract. I tried verbally twice and in writing twice to cancel and they would not cancel. now 4 years later they are acknowledging that I can cancel. I have not had a contract for 6 years. Early customer service was horrid but the recent service was polite, cordial, correct and helpful. They stated their company's position and acknowledge my issues. Still have not received promised documents to cancel account.

The representative calmly and pleasantly walked me through the steps to get my front doorbell working again and we were able to test a motion detector. My system is back up to 100%. The electric company was going to turn elec off. They were there to put a larger box to count for the new two houses being build. Brinks said they would take note that my alarm would be off and that I would call back when elec was put back on. They doubled check my system to make sure all was good.

We needed to replace two motion sensors in our building. I was on hold for nearly an hour and a half and the person I spoke to said I needed technical support. I was transferred and was again placed on hold and then hung up on. I then called on a second occasion, this time I was on the phone for nearly two hours transferred three times and hung up on again. I should have received a call back but never did. The sensors are still not active.

Stay on top of your plan. We've been a part of the Brinks family for years but recently cancelled because the price kept going up. Apparently our plan expired in 2019 so the price kept going up. When I went to cancel they offered to cut the price to about half what I've been paying. Thinking about all the money they have gotten from us since 2019 made me so mad I'll never use them again. Very sad because we were happy with all of our years of service with them.

Switching from Brinks to a local provider for two main reasons. Service was on the whole middling, but one experience last year was so astonishingly incompetent, which has stuck with me ever since. Bordering on gaslighting me about the plain meaning of English words when explaining to me a really stupid feature of the application about auto-deleting old recorded camera clips when reaching the monthly clips limit.... The details aren't important. It was horrendous.
The second reason is that the monthly pricing is set completely arbitrarily, based on what they perceive they can squeeze out of you, and then gradually quietly ratcheted up until you decide you don't want to deal with it. I was paying almost $50/month, until I called and said I'd like to discontinue, when they reset my rate to $18/mo, but over the last 2 years it's climbed again (without any notifications) to be $42/mo. When I called just now to say I'm cancelling, they said "Oh, you can have $25/mo, if that will help." I said no thanks. I know it's "only business" but I absolutely hate being treated this way.

Customer since mid 2000's. Service, products and customer service has declined considerably. As soon as my contract is up, I plan to switch companies. If the system should fail, I plan to not use the alarm system and ride out the current contract instead of spending costly service call fees versus buying out the contract for approximately 1K.

The reps I've spoken to all have been short, unfriendly, uncaring, mentioning one needs to have a service rep for a home visit. Their immediate answer is there will be a charge of X number of dollars in order for that to happen. Even though the problem is with your equipment.. We had the BEST experience with a technical representative today. We are technology challenged and she was the most patient tech person I’ve ever dealt with via the phone. She got us up and running in no time at all. We were prepared to spend at least an hour on the phone trying to get back online and we she was able to get us up in 35 minutes. We knew it was going to be a lengthy fix so we put it off. After this pleasant experience, I wish we wouldn’t have done that. We certainly won’t do that again! We’ve had Brinks for 5 years and this was the first time we’ve experienced any technical difficulties with our system. The issue was on our end as we changed internet service so we dreaded getting our cameras linked to our new internet. Alas, it was a successful experience with an amazing Tech Support Rep.

I was helped with three problems in one phone call. First issue was my automatic payments were not being made. He helped me with that problem and then with issues with my sensors. A window sensor was reporting "dead" and then another reported low battery. He helped me through the process of changing the batteries in both sensors. All is well now. Excellent service.

Jay and Nehuen provided excellent customer service, including troubleshooting, resolving the problem and offering solutions. Highly recommend! Jay recalibrated the back door camera for optimum visibility and provided a number of upgrade options to improve our current system. Nehuen gave us a loyalty discount on the upgrade for our front door and scheduled installation within the week. I did not have to wait more than five minutes for either one of these individuals to take my call. It was refreshing to not be on hold for a long time waiting for a customer service rep to address my needs.

I had an issue with one of our home's window sensors not reporting and not allowing us to turn on the alarm system. The Brinks automatic phone representative transferred me to a live phone technician who was very pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable. 10+ years of unsatisfactory service finally ended. Kept getting trapped into extending with them when something went wrong (we can fix this for you) but you have to sign a new 3 year contract. At first repair calls were free, then reasonable and then ridiculous. The techs were coming from Redlands, CA or Phoenix Az area. They would schedule out 2-3 weeks so the tech could handle several customers in one trip. In one case the problem reoccurred very shortly after (1-2 hours) the tech was here. He had given me his cell # so I called him and he said he was almost home, couldn't come back from Redlands, call and get rescheduled.
In another case we were travelling on East coast when my neighbor called, 3am, and said Fire Dept wanted to force entry, they were at my house for the third time that evening, dispatched by Brinks. They couldn't find a fire and had used an infra red camera, but had to respond if the alarm company called. I called Brinks who said they had to call if the smoke detectors went off. I simply asked to have my alarm disabled for 24 hours until I could deal with it, No, was the answer. I convinced the Fire BC not to respond anymore for 24 hours, called an electrician friend who met the lady feeding the cats at the house the next day and disabled ALL the smoke detectors, which I replaced when we got back home. By the way they charged an extra months service when I went with another alarm company and didn't give them 30 days notice when I changed over, even though my contract had expired three months ago and I was monthly only, it was in the contract.

Angel was so patient and helped me with both signing on to my laptop as well as using the app on my cell phone, even though that was not why I initially called. (I had called to inform Brinks that my windows were being replaced in my home and he needed to set up the monitoring situation accordingly.) I Highly recommend Brinks Home Security because First it was Protect America, shortly Brinks brought them out and I'm happy Brinks did!!! Our security system cameras stopped recording. I did not know if it was because of loss of Wi-Fi or power. I called Brinks and the representative was very helpful. Since you had to be at your home to reset the cameras and I was not in the state I called Brinks a second time and told them that my daughter was going to be able to go to the home. After I authorized her to talk to them. She called them and they told her how to get the system operational. I have been using Brinks for several years and I am extremely happy with the security system.

I have had Brinks for years and when I signed a 3 year contract that they said was "locked in" the price was immediately raised. Despite that I have kept the service and had no issues until now. Yesterday I received a call that said "an unidentified signal" was coming from my home. I did not answer the call since we were home and the alarm was not even activated. The police showed up at my house and I called Brinks to see what happened, they had no real answer for me saying it was likely a "glitch"?
It happened again a couple hours later and I called again and was transferred a few times until I got a nice young woman that said it was an issue on their end and they would put an alert in my account so that if this "unknown signal" comes up again they would ignore it. This makes me nervous. What if I am not home and this happens again? I understand that issues can happen but this has completely shaken my confidence in their ability to properly protect my home. I will likely not renew my contract with them when it is done in a few months. I can't trust a company that not only raised the price right after I signed up, but can't even figure out where a false alarm is coming from when it is not on my end. That all said, most of the employees I have spoken with over the years are very caring and helpful.

I've been with Brinks Home Security over 5 years. Excellent service. Give 5 stars and staff very professional. Well I most recently cyber attack online since 8/29/24. Hackers has control on my cameras. I will getting with private internet co who swipe my internet to stop the attack. If the security co can have more online anti virus online and probably the cameras system where the hackers can not mess with others private cameras account with more security accounts online because hackers are messing with lots of companies, data breaches, etc. BY having a strong data security system with anti virus and alerts when there are activities can not hack into customers accounts. The service was great when I started over 18 years ago. My system became outdated and after 18 years of service Brinks refused to upgrade my system at a reasonable cost. In fact they wanted to charge me more than they wanted for a new account. They wanted to charge a large amount to even come out and service my system. At one point they said my system was so outdated that they couldn't service it and that I would have to get a new system with no discounts. After 18 years of service this was the treatment they give to long term customers.

Brinks has been very supportive and assistive to me! I was originally linked to Brinks by a 3rd party seller, but when they stopped operating, Brinks seamlessly resumed my service directly. In a recent alarm scenario, they responded quickly and followed the communication paths as planned. We were unable to answer the call so they quickly sent a patrol car to confirm the home wasn’t compromised. They have been everything we would expect in a home security service - and more! I would not recommend Brinks Security to anyone. I have been a client of Brinks since 2007. I had an issue with them for a payment that I know that I made and even with proof they still insist that I pay again. After paying I disconnect with them and went to another provider, to my disbelief, they sent me a check for overpayment for the same invoice that I had the query about. I went with Monotonic, who later sold out to Brinks, so here I am with Brinks again, and once again having an issue the an additional payment that they are charging me. Don't even ask to speak to a superivisor, you will never get one to call you back.

My experience with Brinks has been mixed. I inherited them from my previous company which I wasn't thrilled about but didn't really have a choice. Overall the service works and has been good, the equipment I have received with the prior company has lasted at least five years. I recently noticed that my bill had crept up to a whopping $62.00 a month in comparison to the alarm I had just set up with SimpliSafe for my father for $31.00 a month. When I called to see if they could offer a more competitive price I was offered the amazing discount of first $5 and then when I said that would not be enough they increased it to 7 dollars. At which point I told them I would like to cancel service as I would be moving to SimpliSafe. Only when going through the cancellation procedure was I finally transferred to somebody with the "authority” to make the monthly rate more competitive.
For now I will stay with them but my assumption is that we will have the rate creep over time and have to go through this again at some point. Additionally logging into their various portals continues to be a frustration as I consistently get a 503 error and I'm told by it to try again later the servers are having an issue. So in summation, it works but stay vigilant to price hikes.

I called Brinks several times to ask about disconnecting my service. I didn’t realize that the contract renews after any change that you make. No one would work with me. Trevor and his manager were both compassionate and supportive, he lowered my bill until the contract expires. I am not even using the system anymore.

Fortunately, all three Brinks helpers I spoke to on the phone (two were tech persons) bailed me out. Their discovery of low batteries in motion sensor detector set me into motion to buy replacement lithiums. Now all's well. I compliment every helper for their empathy and patience as we conversed on my challenging obsolete land line!. They patiently saw me through resolution of the problem. How they watched over me in time of need meant the world to me. Thank you, all!

The app and the coordination of the live customer service has really improved over the last couple years. In fact up until about a year ago, I was ready to not renew. However, they have greatly improved in the technology with the Customer Service has reinvigorated my faith in Brinks.

Hi, I called Brinks to explain that I received a message that my key fob had a low battery and where/what kind to purchase. The lady I spoke to said since I have a warranty on my account that she would send them to me…I received two new key fobs with four batteries. On that call I also mentioned I think my motion sensor may need a battery as well so I wasn’t sure if the batteries I received were for the sensor or extra batteries for my key fobs. I called Brinks again and the lady I spoke to tried to help me change the battery in my original key fob and we found out those batteries were incorrect for my original key fob. We decided to program one of the new key fobs I received and found out that the batteries I received matched my new key fob and continued to set it up but could not get it completely done. She suggested to call back in an hour as maybe my system needed that time to connect.
I called back an hour later and the gentleman I spoke with totally assisted me completely setting up my new key fob and disconnecting the original key fob as well as checking my panic necklace that I have had from the beginning. So I have a spare key fob with spare batteries and I am ready to go. I didn’t get any batteries for my motion sensor as this gentleman checked and it looks like I do need a new battery for that as well and he gave me the information on what kind to get. Basically, all 3 personnel were helpful…Getting the new key fobs and spare batteries to me, discovering what was actually sent to me and trying to set me up and lastly the gentleman who completed the job. All 3 were very kind, patience with me and professional. Thank you!

I would simply not recommend Brinks Home Security to anyone. I was offered a free home system if I stayed with them for another 3-5 years. I did and I came to realize that the system wasn't free. I was financed by GreenSky. I have to pay for the system after I paid off my balance with Brinks, then Greensky reported me negatively to the credit bureaus that I owed them. Do not take their free offers. It's not free.

I’d recommend NO security over Brinks. They are rude, heartless, scripted, argumentative, and looking for any reason to extend your contract and raise monitoring prices. I’ve had to move a few times, each time I have to buy new equipment and/or increase my monthly costs. They also start over the 60 month contract. Honestly, the worst company I have ever done business with.

Making a phone call to Brinks was the best decision I made today. I was able to speak with one of the friendliest representatives I have spoken to in a long time. I believe her name was Tomeka, I should have written it down. She was so friendly and professional, even asking how my day was going. The tech was very knowledgeable and quite cooperative. She kept working the issue until it was fixed. This took a bit of time but she was quite persistent in her efforts. When she was done with one fob she got the other working as well.

We have had a positive relationship with Brinks Alarm. They are reliable and consistent in service. Recently we opted to cancel our service, not due to anything related to Brinks Alarm. Eric was a pleasure to work with. My system was sending me a low battery message and even though I changed the battery I was still getting the message. Turns out I was changing the wrong battery as the actual problem battery description was incorrect. Eric corrected the description name for me and waited on the phone while I changed the battery that needed to be changed and confirmed that the system was working correctly. I had dreaded calling and anticipated a long wait but was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I got a live person. Very happy.

Brinks is amazing… But Skyline Home Security are scammers… Their sales guys will say that Brinks took over ADT to switch your services and then they will make you sign a contract but they will use your signature to sign another contract with different terms and conditions from the ones you originally signed up for.

Let the buyer beware. We were Brinks Customers for years. Sold home and relocated. New owner refused to take over monitoring with Brinks due to poor performance. We in turn attempted (by booking 30+ days out) to have Brinks install equipment in new home and monitor. They were a no show and when contacted they could not come to property 60+ days (a total of 90 day wait) leaving our home unprotected but they kept charging the monitoring fee even though they couldn't provide equipment. Would not cancel due to their failure to install.
Just paid the $720+ to buyout contract after multiple attempts to get the price down and they assess at $6 paper statement fee putting our account in the rears. Of which we were auto billed. I have now cancelled those payments on credit card. To add insult to injury 2 days AFTER they were due to install the new home a young lady sales person knocked on the door trying to sell Brinks services. Not even aware that we were already paying for monitoring with no equipment. Horrible company - no loyalty to long term customers.

The use of chat for handling a complex issue is not appropriate. Using a cell phone to chat and also to work online in the Brinks application on the same device is difficult and at times impossible. If you get disconnected as you go between screens the entire process must be repeated. The chat contact should at some point realize the chat approach is not working effectively and turn the issue over to an online tech. It took two days to determine that I needed a service call to fix our issue. Now we wait over a week. Why do I pay extra for a system service agreement if I have to be without security service that long. In the past a conversation with a tech enabled correction of the issue on one call. I'm sorry I signed a 3yr contract. Never again.

I had another company that Brinks bought out. Never notified me just started charging me. The uncanny thing is with the other company never had any problems with my door locks. Now I am on my third lock - they have replaced twice and both lasted two weeks and then stopped working. I am paying high prices for a security system with no security at all. They wouldn't send me another lock without getting a contract. Now I have emailed several times that I am paying for a security system with no security and don't tell me they don't see all the errors that come up and on top of that they want me to pay another 250.00 to have someone come out and fix the problem - how do you fix a problem that you created and then want me to pay for.
This is the worse excuse for home security I have ever encountered and one that does not care about their customers - only that they get paid ever month. I want my old company back - never had a problem with them. Also, when company was bought out Brinks never came and installed their equipment they kept my old company's equipment which could be part of the problem. Wouldn't you install your equipment when you buy out a company????

I was having issues with my motion kitchen, living room and hallway detectors. The cameras were not detecting motion as well and the control panel was not functioning. Brian who was the person who help me was excellent. He explained every step he was about to do before doing so. He assured me that he was not abandoning me while he determine the cause of my problems. After running test and having me do several actions, everything was back in running order. I received an offer from Brinks Home Security about extending my account with them. The customer service rep was very helpful and in fact she was able to extend my account and locked it in for 48 months saving me $10.00 a month. I am very happy with her great customer service.

I would not recommend Brinks, we had problems with the system the whole time we had them, and they could never fix the problem, and the doors and windows were always over rode and didn't work, the only good thing was the cameras and they did work inside and outside!

After 5 events on 5 windows, I replaced the batteries in the sensors. Those 5 events would not clear from the keypad or app on my phone. I called BRINKS Home Security and spoke with Jackie. Jackie is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She walked me through each sensor to "test" to try and clear the events and to verify whether or not sensors were "bad", they are 9 years old. This is by far the worst security company; don't believe anything they say. They will underhandly try and continue your contract and lie about charges and surprise you at installation with additional charges. Greedy Bastards!

Broke my doorbell back plate when trying to tighten the screw. Call Brinks and talked to Kevin who was very helpful in identifying that the back plate could not be purchased at this time. Seeing that this was no fault of mine that the back plate was not available Kevin worked it out to have my entire doorbell replaced and no charge to me. Was very grateful for the help and very satisfied with the result. Thank You.

This is my second review. My doorbell camera was installed on Feb 20 2025. My equipment has not worked at all. The technician has been to my home 3-4 times. Our last conversation, he was to come replace the equipment. That was about 4 days ago. I haven't heard from him since. I called to cancel my service and was told by an account manager that I would still have to pay for equipment that does not work. No way on God's green earth would I do that. The account manager was unprofessional, she insisted on talking over me. She would ask a question and get loud before I could answer.
I don't want new equipment, I don't want the service. It's been almost a month. After the first or second reboot, the equipment should have been replaced. I'm not gonna give my hard earned money for something that does not work, then have to deal with unprofessional behavior this is by far the worst customer service I've ever had....I am a customer service professional, and this is awful. Please help me. My next step is to consult with my attorney to get me out of this.

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. After being a loyal Brinks customer for 13 years, I attempted to cancel my service in July, but they refused to process the cancellation and continued billing me. When I called to resolve the issue, they demanded $179 just to cancel, despite the fact that my service was not even working. Brinks was willing to risk a 13-year relationship over $179, showing complete disregard for customer loyalty. I was even open to finding a fair resolution, but instead, they tried to double my bill from $29 to $67 for a new service—an outrageous attempt to squeeze more money out of me.
Even after I unplugged the system, and they confirmed it was not online, they still insisted I pay for a service I wasn’t receiving. This is beyond unacceptable—it’s unethical. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Brinks. Their policies are predatory, their customer service is dismissive, and they have no problem charging you for a service they’re not even providing.

I had Brinks Home service for 25 years. My ex-wife tried to cancel the service, which had not worked for 12 years, in October 2024. She informed them that the system was not being used and requested cancellation. They stated that I had to cancel it myself, which I did. However, they still billed me $322.91 for a service that was never provided. Do not hire these people for your security— They care more about your money than your safety.

This company messed up my credit for $127 after I changed a card. What was even worse was that they were rude and extremely uncaring when I called to make a payment. They will tie you up for long contract. Please read carefully and run....

Please I beg you go somewhere else. DO NOT make the mistake I did!!! It’s a waste of time. The cameras always need rebooting. Several times I’ve had delivery drivers walk up my driveway to my front door and the cameras did not notify. They charge for everything including the technician to come out and fix the faulty equipment. It’s all a scam
