Customer service helped me right away with the issues that I had. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Never let me wait long and he was always checking up on me or updating on what is going on. Would highly recommend Brinks for their future needs on home security.

Customer service was amazing. They went over the features of my alarm and I ended up extending my contract with Brinks for another 36 months with the same monthly rate. I have been a customer for 25 years and I am extremely satisfied. Customer Service was an absolute joy to work with.

The technical support representative was very helpful and guided me step by step to quickly solve problem. He took less than 10-20 minutes to solved the problem i had. Was very patient and friendly. Would definitely recommend Brinks and thanks to technical support representative.

Deceitful, underhanded, and downright fraudulent billing. I had a year to your contract. I did not renew this. They admittedly have no contract for services with me, but six months later sent me a bill for the entire years worth of Monitoring. Refused to clear my account. I’ve asked repeatedly for a contract and they have yet to produce one.

Let’s see, had an installation appointment today. Tech never showed or called. Call my agent who couldn’t explain what happened nor did he make it a priority to fix the issue. So we called ADT and they will be at my home tomorrow to provide service. Wow this happened before I even got your service. AMAZING!

I had a technician about a week ago who could not resolve the issue because she failed to ask me a critical question after the control was unplugged. Today, this technician asked me if the current has been cut from the panel. This made all the difference.

We have been with Brinks Home for 19 years. The monitoring was good but the cost kept going up every year. We were no longer under a contract with them for several years. Finally I got tired of the price increasing and decided to shop around, we already had some ring products in our home and just decided to buy the rest of the security items and move our service to them because the price was a whole bunch cheaper and we were happy with the Ring products.

Kameshia is an amazing technician. Her patience and warm personality put me at ease as she guided me to remove the sensors with low batteries, clean the prongs, press the tiny button 10 times, and to snap the sensor back on. She spent over 2 hours helping me. Being a senior citizen, I appreciated Kameshia’s guidance. She is a true professional and an asset to Brinks. Because of Kameshia, my wife and I decided to continue using Brinks. I suggested to Kameshia’s supervisor that she deserves a raise. And one day, I believe Kameshia will be the president of Brinks.

I spent an hour on the phone with customer service. My security panel was signaling an alarm for a smoke detector tampering, out of nowhere. Keep in mind, zero detectors were installed with my system, they were all in my house previously. The second call was an extremely condescending employee. The first and third employees were kind, and the third was finally able to resolve the issue.

The lady that I spoke with today was helpful. In the past, I have not had this experience. I feel that going with Brinks was a mistake. Sensor batteries were having to be changed all the time. The sensors stopped working on some windows. I called and asked for sensors but never got them. I was not told that I could have a technician come out to help. When I was with ADT, I did not have these issues at all.

Dear Brinks Home Security, Representative Michael did an excellent job resolving my issue regarding the missing statement. I am unsure if USPS lost it or Brinks did not send it, but my experience was unfavorable. After waiting several days, I logged into your website on 5/21/2025 and found my current statement dated 5/5/2025, with a payment due date of 5/25/2025. I prefer statements by USPS for security reasons, as I do not want direct access to my banking information. I have been using your services for 22 years and believe 20 days is insufficient transaction time given interstate distances. Please improve this process to maintain our relationship.

The support technician I spoke with made what I was anticipating would be a tiresome experience more helpful than I would have imagined. He fully understood the problem I was facing and was very reassuring by stating that he had the know how to resolve my problem. He was right! Not only did he recognize that my connection problem was largely due to my outdated key fobs but he gave me a tip for using my cellphone that would enable me to use the mobile Brinks app for arming/disarming my system until my key fobs arrived. Craig was superbly professional and personable. He allayed my anxiety and resolved my problem. He made me feel much better about Brinks' service.

I called today about an issue we are having with our alarm system after a storm. Denise was very helpful on our phone call and spent 30 minutes with us trying to troubleshoot the issue. It was determined we needed a replacement part and she assisted us with that as well.

Always great customer service and willing to research issues for better results in fixing your problem. We have had several issues with cameras going offline and they always work to get them back up and running. It has been determined we think it’s the internet and not their cameras or system.

They are so confused... We were transferred to Brinks without any notification and without our consent from our original provider and we had nothing but confused conversations with Brinks ever since. It was frustrating and a little scary considering they were responsible for monitoring our security. Fortunately, we never had any incidences that required their action. Guarded recommendation.

The representative that assisted me with my concern did an exceptional job trying to resolve my issue and I felt went above and beyond what she needed to do to try to do so. She was patient, attentive and if I didn't understand something clearly she had no problem repeating it. This is what customer service is suppose to be. I had to call back a short time later and spoke with another customer service representative and she did an exceptional job as well. I would not hesitate for a second to have them help me again. Had same system for 15 years. Service changed companies 3 times. Flawless and secure until Brinks Home took over. They are only interested in charging you not securing you. Lost count on false alarms. The sensors never gave one false alarm in 14 years prior. They blame me.

Jessika was extremely friendly and helpful, and was able to elevate our issue quickly. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because Customer Service always has trouble validating my "secret code word" whenever I call. They tell me it's not my code word when I say it, then when I insist, they seem to figure it out and will say "Oh...yes....you were right". I'm not sure what that glitch is but, other than that, service was extremely satisfactory.

The system was fine, and we had no problems with it. The transition from Monitronics to Brink was seamless. Ultimately we needed to change our service and account terms, and my telephone experience with Janet from Customer Service was excellent.

Long story short, the equipment works, but there are a few practices from this company that make it feel predatory. Primarily in its cancellation program, transfer program, and repair processes. I wouldn't recommend it. I have been with Brinks for about 6 years now. After a recent renewal I was told I would get a glass break sensor repaired or replaced as well as a door camera. That didn't happen. I believe I was supposed to contact them when the new contract started. They never contacted me again about the request so I suppose I was supposed to annoy them about it.
Either way I ended up purchasing a new house and decided I didn't want the Brinks service and now I must pay 80% of the remaining contract to cancel. About 900 dollars. Or I can pay 130 dollars for new equipment and 2 extra years of service. Or pay 800 dollars to buy and install the equipment myself and stick with the remaining 2 years of contract. My conclusion is that there are other companies that also provide functional security equipment and even the services that come with that equipment for a comparable price and no pay-out contracts. It simply isn't worth it. I would say Brinks has customer service, but even with the Brinks Plus plan I couldn't even get that.

The service person did her very best to help me and spent over 20 minutes trying to figure out a glitch in camera my system. While it did not work out 100% at the time we were on the phone, the issue resolved itself later in the day. I think it was her efforts that reset my system that allowed it to work later. I had the new system installed this past Saturday and there is an issue with how one of the door sensors was installed. It keeps falling off and making the system go off. Today I had to leave work and meet the police at my house because of the false alarm. This is very inconvenient. I called customer service and they told me it wouldn't be until June 24th to have this corrected. I do not feel like this is the customer service that his been promised by BRINKS. I explained the unit is less than 4 days old (installed 05-09-25) and was still told by customer service that was the earliest time.

I called this morning about transferring my service to new home, was told that you don’t have service for my zip code. New home is 6 miles away. I was to get a call back after asking them to run it up the pole. I didn’t hear back, so I called and got “Fred”. He is the best customer service I’ve ever dealt with any company. He told me that I can have service and an install date of next Tuesdays. (1 week). He was very pleasant to talk with and funny. I am very satisfied with him and recommend anyone to ask for him directly. I wish I could tell his boss to take out for a drink after work on my behalf. Great job Fred!!!

I have been having an ongoing problem with the back door lock with no solution. It has been offline for over a year. I can’t get a tech sent out because this is going to cost me $200. This seems unfair considering I pay my bill monthly but not getting the full service I am paying for.

We had a billing problem with them because there was miscommunications between us and previous security company that was moving contract automatically to Brinks. My review relates only to the help that I received from Sierra, with department, where we make our monthly payments. Our account has been set up for years to be paid monthly by bank ACH. Recently we were hacked and we closed our old account. It was very simple to call, then to be transferred to the account, for billing purposes to then be assisted by Sierra. Very disappointed with their customer service. I was moving and they quoted me a price and then spoke to someone else who said I had to pay hundreds more because the new building didn’t have a wired door bell. I refused to pay and cancelled and come to find out from several other security companies that a wireless doorbell camera is standard and the wired is the exception. Way to lose customers Brinks just to try to make a buck.

My company's security account was switched to Brinks from a previous provider. Within 3 weeks I have been on the phone for over 8 hours with customer service. Each person I spoke with gave me different answers if any answers at all. I was told my business accounts cannot be linked together, they cannot provide me any invoices, invoices are not visible on the customer portal, businesses are not allowed to choose paperless billing but bills were not being mailed either. The one single thing each person uniformly told me was that I could pay online, even though I could not see an invoice explaining what I'm paying for.
I'm on the second week of trying to cancel my service and even that is a task that can't be figured out by 2 of the 3 people I spoke to so far. No phone call has been under 1 hour and most of them are over 1 hour and a half, with either the situation being worse at the end of the call or no help at all being offered. Cameras that were installed by the previous company are working fine and I have no problem accessing them. Brinks customer service, however, had led me to cancel 7 business accounts and incur the cost of having new systems installed.

Customer representative was extremely helpful and provided the required service. This is no reflection on the customer rep that worked with me, but I will point out that I have just been waiting to cancel my service as soon as I could after the 5 year contract expired. This is because of our initial dealings with the individual who originally signed us up for the service. Because of this, I cannot recommend anyone use Brinks Home Security.

Customer services is hit or miss. You may get someone nice and capable of doing their iob; or you may get someone like the TWO people who hung up in my face; due to their own inability to comprehend. Had to call back a third time and the young lady was nice and pointed me in the right direction. System itself is ‘ok’. Still things I don’t know how to operate and I don’t have the energy to call bc again never know whom you’re going to get on the phone. So still figuring a few things out (Like familiar vehicle). Cameras are great. You can customize the alerts/settings. The system (or hub) is self explanatory. Easy to use. Apps (alarm.com and Brinks) are the same work the same.

The young man in customer service was very kind and helpful. He kept trying different scenarios until he got my translator and sensors working. He never got frustrated and never gave up. The lady with whom I spoke was wonderful. She helped me exactly as I wished. She was able to send a tech to have my panel repaired or replaced at no additional charge. The previous rep wanted to charge me $75. Also, my monthly rate is staying the same. The previous wanted to increase it by $20 per month.

I recently ran into a problem with my exterior cameras. After using the on-line trubleshooting guide I ran into a situation where I needed to talk with a technical specialist. Using the help numbers found online I was connected with Cedric who walked me through some additional troubleshooting steps and was able to get one of the two cameras back online. Unfortunately after 4 tries that included factory resets and wi-fi set up we could not get the other camera online. Reluctantly I requested a technician visit to take a hands on closer look. I have to say Cedric has his act together and did everything he could to make that second camera operational.
He set up an appointment for the technician and helped me adjust my service contract to take advantage of some service options. To sum up - Cedric is an example why it is always a pleasure doing business with a professional. It is service like his work that made me change over to Brinks a while back - glad to see that quality is still a priority.

I have been a loyal Brinks customer for 25 years. When we were planning on moving and discontinuing our service, I was trapped in a contract that would not allow me, under any circumstance, to close my account. I called customer service and she clearly worked from home, because you could hear a television and her dogs barking in the background. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and returned and said her "boss" told her that there is nothing they can do. There was no "boss"! She clearly had no intention of allowing me to get out of my contract unless I paid close to $800.00. This was one of the most disappointing and horrible customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I have spent thousands of dollars over the past 25 years and they refused to make any effort or allowance to get out of my contract to make it more affordable.

Two stars because everything was great until I tried to cancel. Now they’re saying I renewed my contract for an additional 4 years and I can’t cancel without buying out the entire contract. I know they’re lying because they bc can’t produce a single document of me renewing, then said I renewed between 4 and 5 pm, then changed and said I renewed at 618am. But cannot produce any documentation of those even though they say there is a verification process. It’s insane. I’ve made complaints with the Texas Attorney General’s office, as well as the Better Business Bureau. I would be EXTREMELY cautious signing anything with them, and I would research the Reddit home security page before signing or verbally agreeing to ANYTHING.

I have had my Brinks Home system for about a year now and with the move, got a good amount of products to feel secure in my new home and have more control when I'm away. I love having one app for my security, my locks, thermostat, and garage door. I use the lock the most and love being able to unlock it for family if they are checking on my dog or use it when I'm coming home in an Uber so I don't need to worry about bringing keys with me.

I have 2 recommendations that I believe would be beneficial to all of your customers. When an agent needs to transfer a customer to another agent, common courtesy let the customer know. Get more technicians so customers don't have to wait a month before issue is resolved.

One of the absolute worst business experiences in my entire lifetime!!! BTW I'm turning 71 this month. Traveled the world. Worked in a foundry to put myself through a two-year college, a Private University (Syracuse), (Arizona State University) Masters. Graduated Summa Cum Laude at every school. Was hired by Howard Hughes Helicopters Aerospace Division in 1983 and built the very first Production Apache Attack (AH-64A) Helicopter in Experimental Flight Test (one of 17 of us) for the United States Army. You put me through the worst GOAT rope and waste of my time endlessly! I'm sure your sales agent got a nice Christmas bonus for the $1200 equipment purchase for your security system which you sent to wrong address. Then called numerous times and Mr.Salesman never returned a call.
I eventually got past all your A.I. readeric and to a real person and things never improved and went downhill from there. Please send me the damn return label you promised me last month for your equipment you sent many months ago because in the meantine you lost your installation person you promised me FOREVER!!! BTW, I did a 400-mile round trip to get to equipment to our second home that you mailed to the wrong address and another 400 round trip to bring it back home to mail it back to you. Your Customer Service is extremely incompetent. Downright Scary. **

Had a great experience with today's tech support representative. I was disconnected yesterday and the technician never returned my call. The issue was complicated. Called again today and had success! It took quite a while to resolve but the doorbell and chime are working again! The driveway camera needs a reboot but I will have to wait for someone to help access the camera to get the reboot going.

What I do not like is that I am paying for a quality product that doesn't work after 6 months. What is more disturbing being charged for a $75.00 service charge for a faulty piece of equipment. Regina was very helpful and understood my situation. I'm glad she was able to make a decision regarding my new rate and term contract. However, a day after the new contract was confirmed, my alarm went off by itself with a code of control panel tamper. I called and Brinks advised a software update that could take up to 24 hours will be implemented. Another day later, the alarm went off by itself again, but with a different alert message. I called Brinks back and spoke to the technical department. They blocked the alarm from going off if the code reappeared and advised to wait longer before arming it since the 24 hours didn't expire. This is all very interesting after I renewed my contract and didn't sign up for the Brinks Plus plan at this time. Alarms going off by itself are very "alarming." Even the police came; which is good, but it's like the boy crying wolf. I hope nothing further happens.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid Brinks Home Security at All Costs. I’ve been a Brinks customer for over six years, and I deeply regret ever signing up. For the past three to six months, my alarm panel has been in a constant reboot loop, completely useless. Not once did Brinks bother to contact me or notify me that they had lost connection with my system. You’d think a security company would care about whether your system is actually working—apparently not.
When I finally reached out to cancel—because why pay for a system that doesn’t work?—they had the audacity to tell me they’d be charging me for another 30 days, even though my contract expired years ago. So they couldn’t see my panel, didn’t care enough to tell me, and now they want to squeeze one last payment out of me on the way out? This company is predatory, incompetent, and careless. If you’re thinking of signing up with Brinks, don’t. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the complete lack of customer service. If I could have left a zero-star review, I would have.

Rep was very helpful and professional in helping me finalize my cancelation of service. Never had any issues with the service. However, I was never notified anytime the rate increased yet I had to give 30 days notice to cancel my service And I was not even able to under contract. After I canceled my service, then I started receiving offers to continue my service at a much discounted rate. In the almost 7 years we were with the Brinks, I never received anything from them except when I first started service. After the initial 2 years we did receive some special offers but then nothing until I canceled service. We switched to a local company with an actual local office. Large amount of companies just seem to take existing customers for granted.

The 5 Star rating is to the team member that assisted me during my call. Brinks as a company is horrible and worthy of max 3 reviews. I happened to get a great technician (3rd time I had called about the same issues), that was able to walk me through troubleshooting all the sensors and glass break sensors and one one fixing them. I think Brink is horrible at its job, which is security monitoring. For months I have had a failure message on 2 sensors, 1 glass break and carbon monoxide detector. One would think that getting these failure messages, Brinks would have reach out to me proactively to address these issues; never did.

They will lock you into a contract there is no way out of but to pay off every month left of the contract (yes even years). No cancellation options either. There are way cheaper options so don’t go with Brinks. Look at Ring prices in comparison. They will only offer cheaper options to lock you in an even longer contract.

I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and leaving Brinks because of poor customer service. I have never received a call to see if I need an upgrade on my system so I called in January and it's 4/28 and still waiting for new system. I have not had the old system replaced with new one but Brinks has been receiving the upgrade new payment $90 per month in auto pay. Today I called to cancel. I hope Brinks calls me.

I love my Brinks and didn’t want to have to give it up. I called this morning and was immediately greeted with a very personable individual who was able to answer all my questions and offered me a decent plan for the time being. Did not have to go through a million push this button for such and such. This was the easiest phone call in years for a service. They worked with me to get my monthly cost down.

Updated: 5/2/2025, thank you Brinks for taking my concern seriously as it was for me. I have had Brinks for a long time now so communication is key for me. As I said, previously the tech was great and the only reason I gave 4 stars was due to that I felt my panel wasn’t working.
After the call today, and discussing the issues, my panel is working correctly and I know who to reach out to if I have anymore problems. Brinks reviewed the call and found that the scheduling agent didn’t not inform me about the service charge for the technician to come out and refunded that. Now I do know that there is a charge to have a technician come. But thank you for updating me and making me feel safe in my home again with all the equipment working as such.

Brinks technician was great. 4-stars. Brinks company will lose me as a customer. One of the equipment expired and when I changed the batteries it still didn’t work so I contacted Brinks about their expired equipment. At no time was it mentioned that it would be a charge for them to come out and change a battery. $81 to change a battery is a joke! Also if the technician wouldn’t have checked the other equipment (I made him) I would have been charged again when the next item expired. Communication is key, one shouldn’t have to call and not informed of a charge. Bad company! Now my panel isn’t working correctly. If I place it on “Away” it will start reporting every action that occurred that day. This happened at 3:00 am 4/24//25. Now I’m trying to set my alarm tonight at 9:38pm and it did the same thing. Someone needs to come and fix this.

Billing dept is HORRIBLE! Difficult to understand & too many calls to Brinks, overall, to babysit any request (unless it generates add’l monies to them). We received a replacement outdoor camera, but were at a loss on setting it up. We called Brinks Home, and spoke with the amazing "Kela"! Called to inquire why I was not getting alerts on phone app. Brinks rep was very thorough in reviewing my plan and equipment operation. After thoroughly testing the system she turned me over to a 2nd level tech who was able to isolate the problem with the phone app alerts and resolved it. Both Brinks techs were professional, knowledgeable about their product, very helpful with troubleshooting and resolving my phone app issue and ensuring my system was operating properly with thorough testing. Both were patient and listened well while I explained my issues. Excellent experience. Highly recommended.

I’m being stalked and harassed by a psychopath. I keep changing my alarm code and he keeps getting in. Brinks is useless to me. Talked to helpful woman at tech support. She walked me through changing my password on the app. Not sure if he’s using it to get in. I kept trying to hide what I was typing in but it kept showing. He has a clone of my phone and a password cracker app so I don’t expect much. I might as well rip out the Brinks stuff and unlock my doors. Same difference.

Brinks is a solid name in security. With so many ways to secure your home, it is sometimes hard to choose. I like the peace of mind knowing someone is consistently monitoring our system while away. When we got ready to move, it took several tries to cancel the monitoring, but I finally got an extremely helpful rep who stayed on the phone until we got the right paperwork needed. They also offered us a discounted rate when we are settled again and decide to come back.

My alarm system kept sending messages REPEATEDLY that one of the main sensors was offline, reporting a bypass… etc. etc. I did not know if I was safe in my home last night, with supposedly the house ALARMED. Today, I changed battery in the sensor, even though it was changed not long ago. The representative on the phone today was wonderful; very thorough and professional. A new sensor is being sent out to me within 5-7 business days. In the meantime, the representative made “adjustments“ to the unit so I will hopefully not be bombarded with these messages. She assured me that the system is working and that I am safe inside!

Based on my experience today, Brinks probably has customer service agents in the industry. I had an issue with a price increase, and the agent arranges to have my monthly fee lowered. This happened without me pushing for the price decrease. When we finished, I told her that she was the type of customer service agent that I would have loved to have at my old company.

To best of my knowledge and belief Brinks rep. appeared at my door with pad in hand and misrepresented that he needed to replace my control pad as mine was obsolete thus gained access to my system. As we discussed my problems with ADT my then server, he suggested a change to Brinks. He promised Brinks would pay the early termination fee of ADT. After the 3 day cancellation period had expired, my Neighborhood Watch account had warnings about this rep. as a scam, including pictures of him wearing a Brinks shirt.

My system will be out for over 2 months but the customer service rep is only able to credit one month. I am extremely frustrated with Brinks since they roped me into a multi-year contract that they cannot support but will not let me out of the commitment. I would never recommend this company since they don’t care about security, just collecting money for services that cannot be rendered.

I set off my alarm for the first time by accident and realized there were several things about my system that needed to be tweaked. Among other things it was beeping without telling me why. First I tried the chat, that wasn't at all helpful. On the phone it took a very long time to get through a gauntlet of robots but I eventually got through to a human being who was absolutely wonderful and solved all my problems. He gets 5 stars. The robots get -1.

Brinks is expensive, but I will say the camera quality is amazing, had major hiccups setting up. Took a few months to get it resolved but, after the issues got worked out I have been very happy with brinks overall. The Support team is very helpful when you have issues and if you're not fully satisfied ask for the executive team. They will fix it. The only flaw I have is the response time when they alarm goes off is way too slow and could cost valuable seconds in getting you help. They need to improve that.

I have been with Brinks since 2014. They raise the rates without telling you. They claim to send an email, but funny that I've never received one of these emails (I do get other Brinks emails). When I call in, I'm told they emailed me on XX date, but when I say I never received an email, they respond with 'Did you receive something in the mail?'. OK, which is it - you emailed me or you USPS mailed me something? Funny that they have a date of the email, but then really don't seem to know how I was supposedly notified.
Then, today, the first rep said I was on a 'month-to-month contract', but when he transferred me to another rep, they stated that to be on a 'contract', you're signing up for a specific term. So, you have two different 'contracts'? Also beware that if you sign up for a 'contract', you cannot cancel, UNLESS you want to pay for the remaining months. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT, but luckily I work in procurement, so I knew to ask. Again, trying to catch people on the sly - seems awfully shady! I won't be looking for another service, if this is how they treat someone who has been with them since 2014.
