Unless you’re doing laundry for an army don’t buy the Maytag commercial washer MVWP575GW. I should have gone with my original choice but my husband was concerned with the durability and warranty hence why we purchased this washer. It’s just the 2 of us and I frequently use the delicate cycle. Unknown to me at the time you can not adjust your water level so if you’re washing delicates plan on wasting a lot of water unless you only wash your delicates once a month. In my opinion delicates are undergarments, blouses, etc. delicate cycle in “deep water wash” only. As far as we can tell the wash cycle at its longest is 8 minutes which I guess for commercial grade is probably correct. However there is a presoak option that I don’t the believe does the work of a longer wash cycle. If you have to do a quick scrub on a piece of clothing as the washer is filling up you can not do this as everything stops once the lid is up.

Last but not least the washer is loud it sounds like it’s going to break down at any minute. I’m sure many of the issues people have with products today are due to government regulations. I’ve tried contacting Maytag customer service on numerous occasions to see if I’ve been doing something wrong even though I’ve read through the operating manual several times, I’m currently on hold for 20 minutes. Doing the laundry has never been the highlight of my day but I never minded it until now. I absolutely dread it now. My suggestion would be if you like the features on your current washer, spend what you need to to get it working properly which is what I wish I had done with my 23 yr old washer. Worst purchase I’ve ever made!

I hate my new Maytag washer and wish I had never purchased it. There's no way to control the water level in it, and on sensor mode, the clothes are barely wet and rubbing against each other creating wear. Things come out with soap stains and twisted up so tight that I don't believe water got close enough to the dirt to carry it away. Don't waste your money.

I purchased this washer from Lowe’s on 8/9/2017. After 3 years and 2 months, this washer would no longer power up. I tried resetting it by unplugging it and lifting lid 6 times. It didn’t work. The extended warranty from Lowe’s expired on 8/9/20. I called a technician and he found it need a control panel and control board. He suggested that I call Maytag to see if they would give me the parts as a courtesy since the washer was only three years old. I contacted them and experienced long wait times (51 minutes was the longest).

I spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with them. They said no there was nothing they could do for me since the manufacturer's warranty ended 2 years ago and the “mother control panel” doesn’t fall under 10-year motor warranty. Well, there’s no need for a motor warranty if there’s no power to the unit! The cost of the parts would be almost $600. It is shameful to not stand behind your product. I would expect to have to replace an iron or a juicer after 3 years, but not a washer. This was a major blow to how I would view the way they do business. I purchased the extended warranty from Lowe’s. I will never do that again. It was a waste of money. They didn’t make any concessions for me either. They kept saying it was a manufacturer's issue.

We purchased this washer 8 months ago, and still do not have a working unit. From the very beginning of installing the new washer we had repeated F4 and E1 error codes. A technician was sent out three separate times and they replaced the ACU each time only to have the same error codes recur. This unfortunately took 5 months as each time the ACU part was on backorder. After 3 failed attempts they agreed to replace the washer with a new one. We were dumbfounded when the new unit arrived and we had the same F4 and E1 error codes! They have again replaced the ACU and still we have the same error codes! They are sending yet another ACU but we have little confidence this will work and we are at a painful 8 months with no washer.

For the first time I bought a new washing machine in order to have one that lasted. Bought a brand new Maytag Front Loading HE washer model MHW3505FW1. Controls stopped working and the machine turns on and off by itself. It's either a faulty control board or computer, either of which are going to be more than a $400 repair. So more than half of what we can pay for a new machine. Maytag only warranties two parts for more than a year. So in reality, it's not worth the repair and I will not buy a Maytag of Whirlpool product ever again.

The house I purchased came with a washing machine and when I used it the water didn’t pump out leaving me with a load of wet clothes. I went to our local hardware store the same day and purchased the only washing machine they had which was a Maytag high efficiency Top loading washer the same day September 30, 2020. Had the washer delivered and set up, and watched the washer work through the window in the top. The sensor on the machine only gave water up to the top of the clothes, not over them. When it went into the rinse cycle it gave the same amount of water.

My clothes came out with soap suds on them and the clothes on top did not agitate down into the machine on the wash nor rinse cycle. Not once on the loads I washed in the two weeks I had the machine did my clothes come out clean and not twisted in a mess making it difficult to get them out of the machine. I used the expensive Tide HP pods and followed the referenced directions. In reading the other reviews on this same washer many of them had the exact same problems that I did. The warranty will not replace this brand new machine nor the hardware store so I am stuck with a washer that doesn’t work as it should and out of the money I paid for it.

After less than two years the commercial washer we purchased from Lowe’s died. A repairman came out after a week and said it potentially needs a new control unit or computer. The control unit is on back order and we’ve been without a washer for a total of three weeks. The situation still remains unresolved and I’m regretting not going back to Samsung. After 9 years with a Samsung washer, it died and Samsung refunded the full price of the washer. It was a poor choice to choose American. :(

WARNING: Do not buy a Maytag washer, unless you get a very extended warranty. My wife and I had A GE, but it wore out after only a few years. So, we decided to go with a Maytag, since they always claimed that the Maytag repairman had nothing to do, which leads you to believe that they never need service. WELL, 3 years and 10 months and our Maytag blew its transmission. Oil is leaking from the seal, and it's on borrowed time. So, off we go to get another washer. Just keep in mind that Maytag, and Whirlpool are one and the same company, so buyer beware. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, there is a sticker on the washer stating that there is a 10 year warranty. That is only on the drum, which never goes bad, and the electric motor. NO OTHER PARTS are under warranty unless you participate in the extended warranty.

My wife and I are going to go out and look at some used washers. There are places that refurbish them, and they have a better warranty, believe me. I am hoping that we can find one WITHOUT A FREAKING COMPUTER BOARD in it. Cost to fix my washer, according to the accredited Maytag repairman is $560.04. I think I can get a basic washer that won't stop working after a few years for less than that. Just in case you are wondering, it's only my wife and I, we only do laundry a couple of times a week. It's not like we wore the machine out prematurely. Thanks for listening.

We paid for a brand new washer and dryer from Maytag/Whirlpool. Right on the machines it has stamped in a metal plate 10 year warranty. So at 4 years when my washer started screeching and smoking I called for service. Yes, there had been a leak that burned out something in the engine and the bearings were shot etc etc. But they have been back 3 times. Each time they lack some part. I first called them on July 29, 2020. Today is October 13, 2020. They have still not got the washer repaired. I need to do wash every day. We are a family. We also have a senior in her 80s. And dogs. I need to do wash every day. So for weeks I went to the laundromat. That cost a fortune.

Then a couple of weeks ago I impulse bought a new washing machine. A Samsung. On sale. Doesn't match the Maytag dryer. And the old washing machine got moved out to the garage. It's the pandemic. I can't keep going to the laundromat. What good is a warranty if Maytag/Whirlpool always has excuses for why they don't have parts. It's the motor. The very basis of the machine. It took them 2 weeks just to look for one. You wouldn't believe the excuses they make when we talk. But I am really unhappy with the way it all worked out. What good is a repaired machine 3 months later than I needed it. I had to buy a new machine. Why didn't they just tell me to do that on day 1 so I could avoid the laundromat. Why are they spending so much money to basically repair everything in that washer when they could have just bought me the new machine. When is a warranty not a warranty at all, but just a big lie?

I bought a Maytag Bravos XL washer in 2017 for around $800 which suddenly stopped working about 1.5 weeks ago. The console won't turn on. I filed a service request on Maytag's website which results in Maytag subcontracting the job to a local appliance servicing company. About 10 days later the appliance tech shows up to my house. I had to pay $125 to the service company for the technician just to show up. After, he tinkers with the machine and 5 minutes later gives me a quote totaling $789.07. Of that amount the parts component was $482.09. He told me that the computer was bad. I was appalled. This was a 2.5 year old well kept washer.

I called Maytag company next day to see if they could at least cover the parts' cost. Especially as I have a large family with 3 kids plus elderly family members. After waiting 33 minutes on the phone, the CSR took all the appliance info and tried to see if she could get Maytag to cover the parts' cost, given my situation. After about 5 minutes, she told me that Maytag declined my request- quoting that my appliance did not have any warranty and that the notes on the computer regarding my appliance indicated that it was field scrap. Field scrap?? Really? This was an appliance that was bought at Home Depot.

This is the lowest of lows that this company (Maytag/Whirpool) can stoop. For a billion dollar company, that are advertising their products as "Made in America", they have no heart and no empathy for their customers. They build sub-standard products comprising of cheap parts so that their products only last a few months, then they try to sell you their sub-prime warranty services that are full of holes. And for those poor souls that don't sign up for their warranty services, God help them if their appliance breaks down. They are then left to deal with Maytag/Whirpool's appliance service "vulture" contractors which in tandem with Maytag conspire to squeeze every last cent out of hard working Americans (Especially during these trying times).

Just to compare my situation. My parents bought LG washers and dryers in 2008 which remain in full working operation to this day (12 years in operation). The Maytag Bravos broke down in 2.5 years. Use my experience as a lesson. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and heartache. DO NOT, I mean DO NOT purchase or support Maytag/Whirpool appliances. You are better off spending your money with LG or Samsung.

I emailed Maytag but they didn’t reply, so I called customer service and was told I should always use warm water and when washing dark clothes select a deep water wash. How is this HE?? This time, the Control Loc light is lit and will not go out despite using all troubleshooting suggestions listed in the guide so the washer is not usable. 10 year warranty covers the drum. I say that is like getting a warranty on tires and when one goes flat, you are told it only covers the hubcap. I can only rate the unit as garbage. Model is 5500, front load. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. We purchased a Maytag MVWX655DW1 Bravos MCT washer in 2017 and I recall a sloshing sound during agitation. It's a high efficiency model and was okay for several months, I think. It began to make something of a clunking sound during agitation that was similar to the deceleration sounds when the spin cycle completes. It seems that is an indication that something is wrong. Clothes aren't clean after washing - another reason to suspect a problem. I observed the wash cycles and noticed that some items don't even get wet during the wash cycle. The clunking is probably an indication of the type of failure but I couldn't find anything other than someone else asking the same question when I did an internet search.

Expected performance is shown in a company video with water sloshing during agitation. That's the key take-away. My basket moves back and forth an inch or two during agitation and makes a clunking sound at each direction change. Water isn't sloshing through clothing and some of the garage rags that were once my clothes probably just needed a good washing. I suppose that even cleaning the washer isn't accomplishing much. The spin cycle is actually impressive. I load the washer evenly and find the completed loads with a towel or shirt evenly covering the clothes pulled to the basket below. Unfortunately, that's probably the only part of the process cleaning anything.

The enclosure says it's designed and assembled in U.S.A. and, unfortunately, speaks to our manufacturing ability. Some of the engineers I've worked with over the years suggested areas to inspect. I was able to use my phone camera to look under the unit and noted that it is controlled by a main drive motor and a little synchronous motor with a linkage that I'm guessing changes agitation direction. Both are made in China. I've considered repairing it and just pulled the wash plate for inspection and found nothing beyond the difficulty of pulling the wash plate. Probably an issue with the drive assembly and a few hundred dollars in parts to fix. I've also had input from someone about the cost of replacing the control board. I grew up with TV commercials of the Maytag repairman with nothing to repair in the world of reliable, American products. It's disappointing to find that is no longer the case.

The low tech GE washers we've used all our lives were old and ugly when they left our house. Not defective, a few drops of oil below or worn finish but still working. It really is a disappointment to look at where we are today. It didn't have to collect samples on Mars or deliver orders in a self-driving vehicle. A reliable washer to clean dirty clothes is all we hoped for.

I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.

When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.

So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.)

I called Maytag Canada and they sent someone right away. They had to replace the motherboard on both the washer and dryer as well as the drum and gears on the washer. Fortunately this was covered under warranty.

I ended up recording the sound and asked them to resend technician to the house. After further diagnostics, yup...same problem. Two days went by and I received a call back advising me that the cost to repair would be over 700.00, not covered by warranty! I escalated to management, to no avail although they did offer me 15% off my next Maytag purchase! Needless to say I have ordered a brand new GE from Costco, arriving tomorrow for basically the same price to repair the Maytag. It actually added time to get the part because it was suppose to be here on the 13th but now it's up to 9 business days for that to happen. I would stay away from purchasing any appliance from Maytag with the experience we have gone through and terrible customer service as well.

Bought a Maytag HE top load washing machine (Model MVWB765FW) in Jan of 2019. As I write this the repairman is banging away on the machine to replace the gearbox that had gone bad. This is the second time a repairman has been out to work on the machine. The first time was to replace a bad water pump, which was when the machine was about six months old. Maytag would have you believe that "Power and Durability Come Standard." So too, apparently, are visits from the repairman. To its credit it does a good job cleaning clothes - when its working. If you're going to buy this machine, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty - you're going to need it.

My wife bought a Maytag top load washer because it had a Chrome tag on top that said 10-year warranty. Great. It broke 3 years later with a failed motor, the 10 year warranty was for the motor and tub, but the 10 years only for parts not labor, and they will not send me a motor, they will only send it to their preferred repair company, so I could pay them $250 for labor or I could buy a motor for $250.

I do not see how Maytag giving the motor to a vendor for free so they can sell the repair services to me for less than competitors is honoring a warranty. I checked with their service provider (who isn't even in my state) and got a quote and time estimate. I am able to order the motor and install it myself faster and cheaper than their Warranty. Bait and Switch, so much for Truth in Advertising.

My wife and I bought the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer Set from Lowes in August of 2015. It came with a stated 10 year warranty, but started having problems early in the 4th year. The washing machine direct drive motor has become very noisy which is a preliminary sign of direct drive motor failure. The dryer now heading into its 5th year has a a burnt smell, and we do not use it due to it being a fire hazard. Our previous washer and dryer set had lasted from 1998 until 2014 when we purchased this set. We paid over $1100.00 for this set. There is no way that we WILL EVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND a Maytag washing machine or dryer. They used to be excellent to good appliances the lasted a long time; however, that is not the case at the present.

This is absolute the worst washer and dryer set I have ever owned. The quality of build and longevity is suspect. It is obvious that it is engineered to be a constant replacement item instead of one of quality and longevity. We will more and likely purchase a GE washer and dryer set. The Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine "balled up" my dress shirts and left wrinkles that the dryer was incapable of removing. I am aware of the issues with Samsung and LG washing machine and dryers when a problem arises. Whirlpool and Maytag are the same company. Maytag used to be synonymous with "quality." That is not the case. Buyer beware. Do your research and do no rely solely on the salesperson at the store that you are seeking inquiry before purchasing.

We went The Home Depot and received honest customer reviews about serious issues with the Maytag Bravos XL Washing machine and dryer sets. This set was highly recommended when we purchased them new at Lowes in 2015. I am also considering the Speed Queen Commercial Washer and Dryer sets that are available for consumers. This set makes the laundromat owners happy. Never again will we purchase a Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine and Dryer set!! We learned a very expensive lesson!!

I bought a new smart washer and dryer from Maytag in mid-2019. Beginning in the first few weeks the machine did not perform as expected--cut off in middle of cycle, door failed to unlock at end of a cycle, constant error messages that made no sense ("power failure" when power didn't fail, codes that aren't defined in the owner's manual). To make a long story short, the company that does their warranty repair, which has worked on the machine approximately 8 times, tells me there is nothing else they can do, the machine is a lemon. But their customer service department refuses to replace it. They say it must be repaired, yet again. But the parts are out of stock (which should be a pretty good indication that there's a problem with product quality). So I am to wait. How long? They don't know. Call again tomorrow.

Do NOT buy a Maytag appliance. Customer service does not stand behind their products and the products are no longer up to the quality I had previously expected from Maytag. Additionally, telephone wait times on the "customer experience" line can exceed an hour and are customarily over 30 minutes. Never had an experience like this with any other major appliance customer service department.

Being a mechanical engineer, I assume that parts are taking a beating inside that machine to make all that noise. Then comes the wash time on this thing. With water level on auto sensing and one rinse, this machine takes over an hour to do a batch of wash. It literally stops dead for at least a full minute between each cycle then click, click, clicks its way to the next. It does not rinse very well as more often then not there is soap scum on the clothes when the washer finally stops. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Maytag is garbage!

I was told LG and Samsung were substandard products. (My 9 year old LG clothes dryer is still in good condition).

I am truly sorry to say the MAYTAG washer is dreadful. The door locks and cannot be opened the very second you touch the start button. There are fewer wash cycles to chose from. You can never tell if the clothes will spin or be soaked. The door needs to be left ajar and the interior wiped down at end of wash cycle. Etc.. We love this set even though it is not as quiet as the old Maytag washers. Still is but not as. We have not had one bit of trouble from either the washer or dryer. The next size larger would have been the better choice for us since we now have king size bedspreads to wash. It still does the job though, just one piece at a time. A lot of people complain about the smaller amount of water used but it still cleans clothes quite well. If you need more water just use deep water wash or for even more water use the setting for bulky sheets which really fills up the water level.

The matching dryer is very large inside with a bright light and has plenty of room for sheets and towels. Both washer and dryer are in our laundry room and we can hardly even hear them with the door closed. Good thing the dryer sounds a buzzer when done. Overall the matching set are perfect for a couple with one child but with more children I would go for the next sized unit up.

I had a 30 year old Kenmore large capacity washer that finally gave out. I began a lot of research on who makes the best washing machine now. I used Consumer Reports, appliance websites with reviews and finally decided on the Cabrio. Let me say, I had no idea that I would be able to add extra clothes to the wash load and come out with clean clothes every time. I am amazed at how they are practically dry when the cycle is complete. I do have to run a cleaner through my machine after so many washes, but it is so much more efficient than my old Kenmore was. I cannot complain about it though. It lasted 30 years and that is unheard of now.

The reason I went with a Maytag is that I like it's warranty on the motor. Very few brands I considered were as generous on their warranties. Additionally, my sister's mother in law is very frugal. When I learned that she only buys the Maytag Cabrio, I was convinced that this would be a long lasting and efficient washer. So far, I have not been disappointed. The only drawback is the height. I could sometimes use a small step stool to reach inside and grab the clothes out. I would highly recommend the Maytag Cabrio to anyone with a family. I am able to do fewer loads of laundry than I was accustomed to with my Kenmore. The clothes come out super clean. Sometimes the control panel is difficult to work with especially if the wash is paused to add more clothes or detergent. The good things is that the tub is very large so a comforter can be washed and you can control the amount of water depending on the amount of what is being washed. I also like that it doesn't have the big agitator in the middle.

I got this huge washer and dryer because I was tired of paying $20 to have my Cal King comforter laundered. Bad idea.. Yes the comforter fits easily in the drum of the washer but it does not even come close to clean.. Why no agitator..? It leaves soap all over it in addition to the dirty laundry smell.. The dryer is better but it takes at least 3 cycles of taking it out and un-wadding it to get it all the way dry. Now my wife just hangs it on the line.

It has been just over 3 years Feb 2017 since I bought both units from HH Gregg.. Now the top of the washer around the soap dispensing orifice has rust bubbling up worse than my 25 year old unit I put by the curb.. Maytag support is no help.. “Sorry rust is normal and it your unit is out of warranty”. I asked If this would have been covered under warranty.. NO!.. Not unless you report it within 30 days.. But having confidence in the name, which is why I purchased this set, I was very pleased with the cleaning power. The only disadvantage I see is with the soak cycle which is timed. I would like to have an option to soak indefinitely. So if you are trying to remove blood stains, you may have to use the soak cycle a few times before all the blood is removed. Calls to customer service were not at all helpful as all they could say was that I would have to pay for the return shipping and they were sorry there was nothing they could do. I purchased a Top Loading Maytag January 2019 (High Efficiency Washer) and I have had problems with it every time I do laundry. It doesn't matter what cycle I have it on. It doesn't fill properly when I put it on deep full. It tangles my clothes so I have to untwist them when I take them out. It has torn some of my things due to twisting. Some areas of the clothes don't even get wet. Some areas also do not get rinsed properly and I have to repeat the cycle. I have had repair people come out and they can't find anything wrong. I am so unhappy with the washing machine and Maytag just ignores the issues I am having. I'm going to have to give it away and get some other brand. I am just devastated that I spent all of this money and clothes are getting ruined.

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.

I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because "there's no recall on it" I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

I wish we would have never bought this brand and model. Within a month there was a loud banging and the serviceman came out and changed a valve out but it just got a little quieter but never went away. 2nd issue is cloths ball up when your doing bedding. Not sure if they are really clean or not. 3rd when we take the cloths out of the washer we are still seeing soap spots where they were not rinsed very well. We are using the right soap "Gain" but we cannot wash cloths in the bedding setting.

We have to use the extra rinse setting to get all the soap out which defeats the whole savings issue of this machine. It says when you do your monthly machine cleaning it resets the water level but there never seems to be enough water in the tub. Also if your doing sheets in the washer and when the spin cycle starts you have to hold your breath to see if it's going to get out of balance which it does 50% of the time so you stop and move things around. Also we cannot put a whole lot of cloths into this big drum because they don't wash correctly. Worst purchase we ever made. With all the negative reviews you would think that Maytag would come out with some fixes but I don't think they really care anymore.

I bought this machine because it has a ' (deep water wash), which means there is a lot of water, enough to cover the clothes, at least I thought so, the salesman seemed to think so as well! But no, it does not come close to covering the clothes, false advertising! I must put my clothes in a large bucket, soak the clothes with water, then bring the bucket to the washer and empty it into it, because of the weight of the water, the machine adds almost enough water to cover the clothes.

Another big problem with this washer is the fact that if I lift the top in mid-wash, while I do something, not wanting to listen to the irritating sound it makes in my apartment, after 10 minutes it starts to drain and there is no way to stop it, I must wait until it completely drains and restart the machine. This machine has the stench of government on it!!! My advice, keep your old machine.

After recommendation from Lowes we clean washed with Affresh for many times, it did not fix the issue! We called Maytag customer warranty service. I have always loved Maytag but this top load washer is a bust. I purchased this higher dollar energy efficient washing machine to hopefully get the value out of it for years to come. Model MVWC565F. 4.2 Cu Ft. I use good quality liquid laundry detergent. I launder adult clothing (including business casual wear), sheets, towels and pet blankets. Occasionally the 20+ something children do their laundry while home.

I often have dry spots on my clothes where they never got actually wet. I switched to only using the deep water cycle; however, this does not immerse the load in water. The smaller my load the less likely to get clean. I've adapted to only have large loads but I still do not feel my clothes are getting clean. I often have to run the load a second time to not only remove ordinary day-of-wearing smells (very noticeable in socks for example) but to get them all wet and free of soapy/linty-like spots left on the clothes from the washer (most notable on black leggings, dress pants, etc). I always do my towels and bedding separate from daily clothing, so this is not coming from having a mixed load.

I have also noticed that the load takes much longer (up to 2 hours) for my washing cycle. How is this energy efficient? It uses less water but more electricity? I miss my old fully-immerse-in-water washing machine that washed in under an hour! Love the dry that I bought with this but not the washing machine!! I do not recommend this washing machine!!

We called the Maytag call-center and were told that “high efficiency machines are different”. They use much less water to be green, but now I have to wash items several times, negating any energy conservation. This also takes more of my time. If we use the “deep water” option and power cycle, clothes are almost clean; however, it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes per cycle. My 18-year-old Whirlpool washed clothes beautifully in under 45 minutes. This brand-new Maytag is NOT an improvement. We use the correct HE detergent and have tried with warmer water, and all of the different cycles, but still do not get acceptable results. The Maytag washing machine is not effective at the one thing it is designed to do, clean clothes. Our specific model is MVWC565FW1, however the saleperson told us that all models are similar.

When the cycle is finished the clothes have been dryer while jammed up against the fins and they are so wrinkled you have to wash them again. The ONLY way to get them through a drying cycle without a tremendous amount of wrinkles is to stop the machine every 5-8 minutes and fluff the clothes around inside the drum by hand. DO NOT BUY!!

Then when it gets to the rinse cycle it stops so the only option is to manually switch it over to drain and spin in order to not have sopping wet clothes, however, since the water doesn't fill, they aren't being washed, the rinse cycle doesn't work so the soap is left in the clothes, then I just have to drain and spin in order to get access water out so they will dry in the dryer. Washer began to grind again, I called Maytag, another appointment was set, service call #2 again resulted in the SAME parts being replaced as service #1, and upon departure the washer immediately resumed grinding. Call #3 to Maytag and a 4th visit was scheduled to my home. This time with a different service provider, parts changed washer not fixed. Maytag called and this time I asked for replacement. Three weeks later I received a new washer. The version was updated so the drain hose no longer reached my drain pipe. Once sorted out, my first wash today with the new unit and "GGGRRRIIINNDDDING".. I would not recommend this product. Will be calling Maytag again Monday.

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. Don’t waste your money on them or any of their off brands.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo xl washer & dryer for $1600 in May 2017. Sunday, the user interface panel went out in the washer. After an $85 diagnostic visit, we were told it would be $500 to repair and take an additional 5 days. My husband is recovering from major knee surgery so I was short on choices. I elected to purchase a new speed queen and will never purchase Maytag again. The 10 yr warranty tag on the front is useless!

I would highly recommend you do some research on the Maytag bravos XL machines and dryer. This thing is about as good as a piece of paperweight thrown in the fire for no good of nothing. Warranty ran out but it has a 10 year warranty so I don’t understand, bought one year ago been broke down three times in that time. Speed queen all the way.

I bought a Maytag washer in June and it's the worst washer I have ever had. It has been 15 yrs since I had to buy a washer. My last washer was a Kenmore which was great. The Maytag does not have a water control knob. It has auto sensing which is crazy. I know how much water I need to wash my clothes. The water sensing barely puts water over the top of the clothes which is not what I need. My husband works in the oil field and gets oily and dirty. The next issue is the agitator that agitates the clothes. This one is a joke. The agitator starts agitating the clothes before the water is over the clothes and then when it needs to agitate it does a poor job. I am so unhappy with my machine that I am getting rid of it and looking for an old type washer. Evidently you made this washer for white collar people who do not get dirty. This is definitely not a washer for people who have dirty laundry. I am so disappointed with Maytag. I thought this was a good brand.

We purchased a Maytag from Lowe's about 3 years ago. The spin function quit working properly last Feb '19. We paid $350 to have parts replaced thinking it was a fluke and we would be set for a long time to come. Well, last week the same thing happened... not even a year later. Lowe's doesn't care and Maytag doesn't care. They want you to spend more to get a warranty to get you to 5 years... well as far as I am concerned that is not good enough. An appliance should last 10-15 years. This Maytag was to replace a Whirlpool that caught all of our clothes in the agitator fins, so after a short period of dealing with that we paid out for a Maytag without an agitator. So in the span of 6 years... we had about $1,500 of dissatisfaction. I believe our repair guy said they the companies are one and the same. Selling junk ought to be illegal.

It's just me and my wife. We bought a brand new, top of the line Maytag top loader washing machine 7 1/2 years ago. It quit working last week. We called a reputable appliance repair company in Toledo. It cost $88 for the technician to tell us the Maytag computer system is not worth repairing. It looks great. According to the technician Maytsg is known for selling junk. My wife and I felt we were buying a top of the line washing machine. We were duped. We had a top of the line LG top load washer delivered today. Never will we ever, under any circumstances, buy anything from Maytag.

Maytag washer, model# mvwp575gw0, which is under warranty. This washer is less than one year old. Within the first couple months the transmission leaked oil and service tech had to replace the transmission. A few months later – another problem, clothes wet after spin cycle - tech told me the agitator base and/or couple parts need replaced. Quality control appears to have been lacking at the factory when this washer was made. This house has only one person presently. The washer was not abused.

I purchased a Maytag washer 5 months ago. I noticed the washer was not putting enough water in the machine to cover my clothes, and at the end of cycle my clothes would be all tangled up. A repairman looked at it and said there was nothing he could do. Do not buy this washer. It is a lemon. I even spoke to the main customer service representative, he was the most arrogant man I have ever felt with. He basically said deal with it. I want. I want my money back so I can purchase a washer that actually works.

I bought a Maytag washer January 2016. We recently had a issue with it so I logged onto the Maytag website and found a service provider to come see what was wrong. I had to pay a $100 fee for them to come out and look at it. I was told that the transition went bad. The parts were under warranty however I would have to pay for labor, which would be $325. Called Maytag and was told because I did not purchase an extended warranty there was nothing they could do about the labor. I can buy a new washer for $500 why would I spend $325 to fix? Already lost a $100 for them to come out to tell me what was wrong. Completely not right. A washer should last more then 4 years! Do not buy any Maytag produces. Will not last!
