Link Interactive got good reviews and a decent price. Also, I could install it myself and I didn’t have to wait around for somebody else to come stick things up and so we used them. I got the sensors up and some of it has to be fastened more solid than others like the door sensors and stuff with double stick tape type things. There was one question I had to ask that I wanted to make sure of and the customer service was very friendly and helpful. My girlfriend definitely feels more secure with it. It's a good system, simple, easy, and it seems to be responsive.

My husband and I were having a very poor time with Foresight Security, so we decided to pay them off the rest of the contract and go with Link Interactive. And Link Interactive has been great. The gentleman that we bought the service from initially was amazing. They told us how to hook it up from the beginning. The installation was simple and very easy.

Link Interactive called us about an alarm. We asked them how we would go ahead and change the option from Stay or Away while we were out and about. The lady that we talked to was very helpful and walked us through every step. I couldn't be happier and we feel more secure since the installation. The only issue I have, and that's probably not with Link itself, is that the motion detectors keep going off from my animals. My husband has been testing it. But one time, we were in a hurry that we haven't had time to hit the Away, just the Stay. So we do need to speak to somebody on how we can fix our Away because that would tighten the security when you go away.

Before I had Link Interactive, I'd be on hold forever with the other company whenever I call them. I've had literally waited 45 minutes for somebody to pick up the phone. If it was the monitoring issue, each company will pick up immediately. But for a service-type thing like an issue with one of my devices, they take forever. Four or five months ago, we switched. With Link Interactive, the wait time is a lot less. The sales person wasn't pushy, the pricing was good and the installation was okay. The person who helped me with my install was slow as far as getting the information, which was party my fault, but he was helpful.

He looked on the internet for better pricing and picked the top two or three companies. When he started installing the Link Interactive security system, he had to call a number for help and walk him through it but that didn't take too long. My only issue is, with ADT we had little stickers and signs all over the place. If a robber sees something like that or a dog, they'll try to go somewhere else. But we don't have those stickers with the Link Interactive system. Also, we’ve had the alarms go off because my kids forgot the alarm. How long does that have to go off before we get a call to get the password to see if everything is okay?

We've had Link Interactive for two months now. I went with them because of the monitoring price and the flexibility to choose what I wanted. I called with them with a support question and they helped me figure it out. Then they sent the box. It had instructions which I followed. It was pretty much all self-install and straightforward. They set it up a lot before they shipped it to me. I like the arming and disarming from the phone feature. My wife sleeps better at night knowing that if anyone opens the door, the security system is gonna go off. And when I travel, she puts it up and sleeps well knowing that its there. So, she’s a lot more comfortable. All in all, it's been a painless and convenient experience with Link Interactive.

I did a brief search on the internet and found Link Interactive. They were one of the first few that came up on the web and their website looked pretty good. I decided to go with it and see what it was like. I've been with them for two or three months and I like it so far. The installment was pretty fast, swift and it was easy to follow step by step. The guidelines were pretty instructive. I definitely feel more secure with the system installed and that's the first and the most important thing. Also, it's easy to see how secure your place is on a day-to-day basis. I can check on the status whether the home is secure from my phone. It's pretty good and easy to use right now.

The system was already installed when I got here because the previous tenant had used it. But to switch it over into my name was really easy and the representatives were all really nice, very helpful and informative. They even took the time to call me back and I didn't even ask them to. Moreover, Link Interactive was a lot more cost efficient and I felt like their prices were very upfront compared to competitor prices. It's very easy to use and I even get emails anytime there's this unexpected activity. So overall, their customer service is really good. I've really enjoyed having their service and I feel a lot more secure with it.

I've had them for three months now and the system is pretty easy to use. Their team was good. I had issues with sizing so they sent out some foam pads to help make sure that the sensors were lined up. Initially, I had problems with the adhesive for the sensors though. That was a consistent problem early on and I had to buy other adhesive to make it work. When I bought the glass break system, I was not told that you had to screw in sensors into my wall and my fireplace beforehand. They made it sound like you just place it in a room. It was just more effort than I thought I had to do. They should go into a greater detail about how each piece is set up. That could've changed my decision but it didnt have that level of detail.

I talked with some of the other security providers out there and I got a lot of descriptive responses in terms of military-grade technology but that's unbelievably so far off. I wanted to understand a little bit more about the communication, the process and how the interaction occurs. A lot of these companies have locked-in plans and I'd like to not have a three-year commitment but at the same time, I plan to own my home for three years or more. I understand that I own the equipment and I can take it with me.

I chose Link Interactive for their responsiveness, ability to talk to me a little bit about the technology and the ability to do the install myself which was important for me. Everybody is used to some automated responses but with them, it was easy to get a person and once I had the person, it was easy to get any questions answered. Also, the instructions are fine and I've got a pretty simple installation set-up and I didn't do any of the additional controls. Putting sensors on doors, windows and cameras are normally good. I have the camera so I'm able to check what's happening and see that my living room is secure.

The only complaint that I have is with the motion sensors which you shouldn't use if you have pets over a certain height or a certain weight because they would set them off. I have two tiny cats but if they climb on a piece of furniture, they may look bigger than they really are and one day, the motion sensor went off when I wasn't home. They said it was thrown off but I thought that was mildly ridiculous because no animal of mine could climb on the furniture. That was frustrating but other than that, I don't have many complaints. It was great. The system is a big comfort to have and I definitely have a peace of mind through integrations of the alarm app.

I went out to Link Interactive and was just playing around. I said I want all these sensors and those kinds of things. The next day, I had the salesman from Link Interactive call me and ask me if I had any questions and concerns or anything like that. It was really cool that he called me back and it just felt like they wanted me to be a customer but not to be pushy or anything like that. They were with me before I even purchased it. They were there to answer my questions and if you wanted to try their products for 30 days and you didn't like it, you could return it. That alone is the reason why I want them.

It's been three months since I started Link Interactive. The first step was to go online and register, say I want only door sensors and then they just spell out how I want the door sensors to be listed. For example, I wanted to work the door sensor for the Master's Bedroom and then another door sensor for the garage. After I do that online, I then received all the equipment from Link Interactive, they already have stickers on them with the print out of coordinating the sensor and how to set it up. I was worried that I was not going to be able to install the sensor but it was quite simple. It didn't take a lot of time to install it but since I have 35 sensors, I spent all day setting up everything.

Link Interactive called me a couple of times after I received the package just to check on me and make sure everything went all right. I said I need a little more time to play around with it before I turned it live and also wanted to test it a little longer. I don't want the police called when my cats walking down the hall. They called a week later to make sure I'm good. We did a lot of tests setting it off and then the call center responded within three seconds to ask for the magic passcode.

I like that they have a Customer Service in America so we won't have the language barrier issue. What really sold it for me were all the reviews from folks who had used Link Interactive in the past and how pleased they were with the service. So based on those combinations, I would really want to go with Link Interactive even if it costs more. My wife and I recently moved into kind of a row area. The first couple of weeks we were there, we didn't know anybody. It was nice getting it installed because I knew it worked. If there would be issues like getting attacked, the alarm would make a lot of guarding noise at night. It's a greater sense of security knowing that at least I would hear some kind of a reaction versus somebody walking in and coming out. My wife works at home occasionally so she's out there by herself and she felt better knowing that she isn't alone when somebody would break into the house or anything.

They're a good company. When you look at all the alarm companies out there, they all have their pros and cons. Even Link Interactive probably has some kind of con, but overall, if somebody wants a security system and they're serious about it with Link Interactive, the equipment is good, it's reliable and trustworthy. Somebody really needs a sense of security and they need that kind of thing in their life. I think they should definitely put their hands on that kind of equipment and feel quite a bit safe yourself.

When I called, I had a good conversation with one of the guys who works there. I asked him questions and he was very helpful. Also, installing their security system was simple. However, one of the adhesives didn't hold, so I screwed it in. And then I had to call to get the window break thing set up, and they're very helpful. The systems seems to be working. My Link Interactive system was a little confusing in the beginning, but as we started placing everything it became easier. One of the things that I would have like to have in the instructions is that when it talks about setting up the things that you put on the windows, it was not clear what's the distance that you could leave between the sensors. We were concerned because of that. Some of the windows had the sensors a little too far. We thought they have to be extremely close. So that caused a little confusion because we didn't know whether that was gonna work or not. But eventually we just did it and everything is working well.

The alarm went off once because my wife opened the door and she forgot about it. And then also there was a problem because she went to the panel and she was trying to put her code and it did not take it. Something to complain about is that when you press the numbers into the panel it doesn't take it so you have to try 10 times and sometimes you even have to try a different number, erase that one and start all over. That's a major problem. I even have a friend, that with that frustration, he stopped using the system.

But I'm satisfied with the fact that when the alarm went off they called fairly quick. I think that was important. But then my wife tried to explain that she could keep pressing the numbers and so on and they keep asking for the safe word and she didn't remember because she was nervous. Eventually, they call me and I was out of the country. So I was lucky that I was not in a plane otherwise they would have send in the police. Also at the same time, my son was trying to disconnect it through the phone and he couldn't do it. Once it went off, the disconnecting it through the phone was not able to do it. I also found out that I can hook up a similar system cheaper.

But then we ran into difficulties with a couple of the sensors and with the distance that was involved between the panel and the sensors. So I spent hours and hours on the line with Link. I have been using Link Interactive for three months. Installing it was painless. The worst part was figuring out the monitoring devices, with all their numbers, and I ended up walking through the installation with a rep online. We set off the door and window sensors to get them added to the system, which was easier than me going around and pulling all the numbers off of them. The system came with online features and the app to unlock the house remotely. Most of the time, I unlock the system and turn it off with my phone, which is nice because if somebody needs to come over and do something, or if my kids get locked out of the house, I can unlock it from home or from anywhere, and that's been great. Their price was a lot better too.

However, the salesperson didn't seem to listen to me very well because they sent me some pieces and parts which I sent back. One of the things that Link Interactive sent me was a hook-up to take over hardwired things in the house, which I did not have. I told the rep that everything was wireless, but he said I would have to have it. Then when I got talking to the actual customer support person who helped me through the process, we realized that I didn't have anything hardwired like I had said when we started. So the other rep confused the process and I ended up having to send items back. But apart from that, the system was what I expected and it's been working fine.

Link assumed everything because our stuff was compatible and I've also ordered three carbon monoxides and one smoke detector but haven't got it plugged up yet. The gentleman I called on the internet where I did the internet setting called me right back and we had very good interactions. Anytime I've had to call them to ask questions, they’ve always been very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything’s good and they were able to tell me that we did not have fire on the alarm and what we needed to do and sold me the products at a reasonable rate.

I am with Link Interactive for three months now. I have had Brinks before but I like that Link had the remote control with the phone and the ability to be able to control the alarm activation and to use the hardwired sensors in my house. My wife and two kids can arm and disarm the system with ease. It's a very simple task that gives peace of mind that our house is secure when we leave.

Their installation instructions were okay. It wasn't difficult because I'm a hands-on, do-it-yourself guy. I am an engineer. My new system is wireless and I have to disconnect those wires and put them into this new wireless panel that connects wirelessly to the Link system. Somewhere along the line, they said, "Oh, you have to add these resistors." I had to Google it, figure it out and then go to Home Depot and find these pieces to add these resistors in. It's a very easy fix if they could just add the crimping things and a couple of pictures how to do it. The kit that came didn't come with the little crimp connectors to add the resistors. Ideally, they would come with the system but I had to go buy those separately. I feel the average person will probably have trouble doing it. They have to rewire my sensors that went from control box to the new trigger switch. It was a little challenging if you didn't know what you were doing.

We were going through reviews and we had narrowed it down to a few options. Then, we found this deal on Angie's List. We got the full package from Link. We have eight door and window sensors, the smoke alarm, and two motion sensors. We have a lot of windows and doors in this house so it's always nerve-racking and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old so it's really helpful to hear if something is going on or if he flies out a window or takes off out a door.

We're slow to get them up and running. We have one or two sensors left to put up. But installation was really simple the instructions are super easy to follow for the setup and everything that we've put together so far is working great though we haven't activated the alarm yet as we didn't have everything up yet. Their reps reached out a couple of times to make sure the set up is going okay and offered to help in any way that they can or to answer any questions if we had any. They've been really supportive and very responsive through email or telephone. They've been really good and you can't ask for much more than that.

I paid for Link Interactive about two months ago but as of yet I haven't installed it. I've been paying quite a bit for Vivint. So, I was looking for a less expensive option but still have all the smart technology and Link Interactive fitted the bill. They weren't as clear upfront though that it was a self-install and I'm not technologically savvy. I wanted a system that could take over the equipment that I paid for in my six plus years of using Vivint and Link said that we can use that system. But, I would have to install extra stuff and do the override and everything. If I had known that, I would have gone with the less expensive install-it-yourself option. There's a whole original install-it-yourself one that I looked into at a lower price but I didn't go with it because I wanted greater customer service. So when I went with Link, it was a good price, but I had assumed incorrectly that they would install it.

However, they were very friendly and they call back saying they're there to help whenever. They had been more than willing to help me understand but I've had it best in the family and I'm the executor of the estate and that sucked all of my free time. I have even spent three hours this morning trying to get a bank account set up for the estate.

We were comparing different security systems when we came across Link Interactive. We wanted to do do-it-yourself because that was cheaper overall and we’ve been a Link Interactive member for about a month now. The installation was a little tricky, but we had our stepdad who has been a pretty handy guy. It took us a little longer than we thought, but most of it was just getting the door lock set up, but we finally got it done. The setup wasn’t terrible, but it was at least more than we thought it was gonna be.

The only thing we kind of still have to work on is one of our motion sensors. It keeps picking up our 23-pound dog, but I think it's only when he jumps up on our couch and how the angle is. Everything else has been fine and it seems they have been working, so it's been giving my wife peace of mind. Also, their customer service team has been nice, answered our questions and pretty available. I thought they were now available anytime. Their timing was a little weird, but that’s not a huge deal.

We went to a home and garden show. My husband and I had been looking at a monitoring system that we could extend and build upon. The guy showed us all of the cool things that we can do with it and we said, “Man, this is what we need for our house.” We had to pay so much money down at that time to buy what we took with. Then the rest of the stuff was supposed to be part of the package and it was sent to us. It's what we paid for. Then you pay for the rest of the stuff as you want to build your system. Now, I've got the system but I'm not using it. It's not because I don’t want to. It's that I don’t have any place to put it up.

We bought the alarm system to put in our home that, at that time, we were creating the blueprints to build. We haven't even started building the house at this point because we ran into some city ordinance issues, which we've now resolved. I called and spoke with everybody at Link Interactive and they said, “Well, too bad. You just have to pay the fee every month.” We don’t even have it out of the box. It's in our storage unit that's holding all of our items to start building. So I said, “Well, I don’t understand how we can be charged for being monitored when we don’t have a system set up to be monitored.” They did put it on hold when we bought it but the rep said that they’ll only do 30 days. We explained the situation to them. We're bound by a two-year contract but it didn’t say that we had to start at a certain point.

They started charging me in March. We're in a rental home. We anticipated that our house was going to break ground in May, but it won't be until August before we get it in. One guy called me. He said that he did see the note. He was very empathetic and he said, “Yeah. That’s kind of a bummer.” He said, “Let me see what I can do and I'll get back with you.” But, if he attempted to call me, he didn’t leave a message because I get so many calls on my cell phone that I don’t always recognize out of state numbers. I haven't answered it since I was here at work.

The people that I've talked to have been really good but the company, not so good if they can't recognize that we don’t have a house that was built. We bought the equipment and I even said, “What if I cancel the monitoring?” They said, “No. You can't do that.” The two employees that I've spoken with were very nice. It's the level that they're at that they really couldn’t do much for me. They understood but their hands were tied.

I was with Link Interactive for 30 days. I called two or three other places, and they were the cheapest. Moreover, they had good customer service. It was easy to install the security system because everything came in the box. We then took it out and stuck a bunch of things to the windows or to the doors, and put the motion detector up on the wall. Every time I called, somebody talked to me in the first one to two minutes at most, and I was on hold for one minute. Whenever I got on the phone with them, somebody always had an answer for me, so they helped out.

I actually just dropped the service, but the reason that I had to cancel had nothing to do with Link, but it just had to do with my living situation. In fact, if a friend wants a cheap home security system where he/she will be getting the same system as anybody else, I would tell that Link Interactive would be good for the Southern California area.

I spent a lot of time researching the standard names in security. I found out that all alarms are mostly created equal and they all go over the same channels. For reasons such as the combination of the technology being offered, the alarm system itself, the price point, and the ease of acquiring the service, I availed of Link's services. I also liked the IQ panel Link uses because it's compatible with the Z-Wave technology for automation and stuff of that nature that comes at no cost with the plan that I got. The installation was very easy and pretty straightforward. I communicated with Link by email 'cause that’s my preferred communication. I had a couple of questions at the beginning and there were quick responses back and forth. They resolved whatever issues I had or questions. I've had Link for three months now and so far, it's been good.

Currently, I have the smoke, gas, and fire alarm. I also have an image sensor to capture an image if the alarm goes off. I opted to upgrade that portion as I thought it was a pretty good feature. There's also the regular door and window sensors. If there was a fire in the house, I want to be warned if I'm home. But if I'm not home, the house would burn down before anyone gets alerted, so I wanted it to be tagged into an alarm. I also feel a lot more confident leaving my dogs at home, knowing that if there's an alarm like if there's a fire, hopefully, it's going to alert the authorities in time to arrive and possibly save the animals before the fire takes over and destroys the house. With the system in place, I definitely feel a lot more secure at home knowing that if anyone opens any of the entry points, I'm going to hear an alarm. Overall, I would recommend Link as far as value and technological system.

We wanted to have some kind of surveillance system in it to keep track with because we had it up for sale. The people we worked with have been very helpful when we hooked up the system at mom and dad's and when we've had any questions about how to work with the different components. When we sold the house, we thought that the people that bought it were going to take over the system but they decided not to, so we took that system out. It's been about three months now since I started with Link. I liked their system's value for the price based on what competitors were offering for the same services. They have sent me a self-install system which came with very self-explanatory instructions and was very easy to install. I disconnected the magnets with the door sensors and they connected automatically with the control panel. They were also configured for the front and back doors. So as soon as I would disconnect the magnet, the control panel would tell me that the back door's been opened. And I can go online as well and rename them. Their control panel's also configured so that I can test all of the equipment. So if something is open or closed or not working properly, they will tell me.

Also, they have very helpful customer support. One time I triggered the alarm and the guy came through the control panel. Then we've had power outage once and they called within 20 minutes of us losing power just to check since the control panel went on battery. So I kind of like that, that they called up and asked if everything was okay. And since we had them, my wife sleeps a lot better at night. The fact that the perimeter of the house is safe and armed gives us that sense of security that even if something was to happen, the alarm would be triggered. Even if someone was to bypass it, the fact that we know that it's on makes us feel protected. So we have peace of mind. My experience with them has been very limited but so far, so good. I haven't seen anything that I don't like. Everything has been as promised and they were very reliable and straightforward. Also, there were no hidden fees.

I have Link Interactive for a couple of months now. I like their monthly cost and the initial investment. Installing Link Interactive was pretty much easy. However, one of the garage door sensors came back bad so they had to replace it a couple of times. I have to go back and forth. It was little bit cumbersome and painstaking but I eventually got it solved and their people tried to be helpful and friendly.

So far, our experience with Link Interactive has been good. I had some problems with my panel but it’s on the manufacturer's side and it has nothing to do with Link Interactive. Nevertheless, they've been very helpful in helping me solve my problems. Installation was easy. They did all the work. They transferred my sensors from one to the other without me having to do anything about it. All I had to do was the Z-Wave that’s part of my old house. They even helped me out with that, too. My only issue was some of my sensors were reporting open after setting the alarm when in fact they were closed. They told me that there’s a problem when the sensor is too close to the panel and that the manufacturer’s aware of it and they should be releasing an update in a few weeks.

Due to their very fair prices and the easy self-installation process, I went with Link Interactive, and I've been with them for six months now. The sales guy and tech support were extremely helpful. And then, the one from customer service that helped me set up and troubleshoot the entire system stayed on the line with me for three and a half hours. He was really dedicated to it and that was really cool. Installation was very straightforward, but apparently, the sensors that I thought were going to be able to work with it, ended up not being able to. We never figured out why. I had to order some extra sensors which added some cost. But so far, so good. Everything stuck into place with double stick tape or screwed in very easily.

Having the automation side of the system has been great. I really like that I can control my garage door, alarm, front door light, and everything in my house that's hooked up to it with the push of one button. I pull into my driveway or turn down my street and I push the home button and it opens my garage door, disarms my alarm, turns on the front porch light and turns on my bedroom light. My only regret is that I didn't know that one of my friends was a local dealer for the Alarm.com system that I'm using right now before I bought. I could have saved some money going with him instead of going through Link. But I haven't really been motivated enough to look into how much I'll be able to save because I've been comfortable with Link.

I found Link Interactive online and acquired the service in November or December. The product was actually delivered to my doorstep and somebody stole it. Link offered me a discount on purchasing the equipment but did not do what they should have done. I'm now stuck in a three-year contract and I still have to purchase the equipment and haven't had the ability to do that yet.

I'm in sales and customer relations so I understand they offer a highly commoditized service and get their money from the subscription. The acquisition cost of a new client is already high and then once they've acquired it with a couple of hundred bucks, they wouldn't go ahead and put that out there to help versus taking the hard road and saying they might give me a negative review but let's hope that they don't know anything about ORM, Online Reputation Management, SEO, LSEO, Yelp or any of the other review site that would then increase their cost acquisition of a customer along with all the negative reviews. At any rate, they at least took the effort to go above the first person's head and took it to their superior. That at least shows some motivation and effort but the customer service person can only abide by the rule and standards and regulation that the company has set forth to operate within those boundaries.

When reaching out to their team, I always email first, they would send it to a tech support person, and then phone calls are made to resolve the issue. However, Link only offers online help and doesn't send tech people out. The fact that they don't have outside tech support that makes calls and comes and takes care of things is irritating. I weighed all the systems out and Link at that time is the best one. Installing the system was pretty easy. I'm on my second home and this is our second system. It’s a great product and service.

Although, it could be better. They just need to improve on some minor things. They need a pan/tilt camera that has audio. There are lots of products out there with a 360 camera. You can talk through it, so you can pan anywhere in your house. It's not compatible with Link. Then the software needs to have a setting where you can set a zero delay on doors then have it automatically timeout. It goes active but between a set numbers of hours, so you don't have to remember to turn the system off first thing in the morning in case you forget. The first time I installed my system, I installed the motion camera upside down. They could put a beveled mount to prevent it from going in upside down. Other than that, this is a solid equipment and service. Link Interactive is still my top choice.

I have an existing security system that was wired, and I wanted to get the latest, greatest technology, but I wanted to be able to use the existing sensors that I had. I was looking around on the internet, and one of the first home security service providers that came up was Link Interactive. I tried to learn some more about this company and I thought they were interesting enough so I gave them a call and talked with them about what we can do with my system.

It was good with the representatives that I spoke with. They were really helpful. They said that, since it's a do-it-yourself system, they can help me out a little bit with telling me what I need to do, and I had to take pictures of my existing system and the wiring to make sure these are compatible with the Link system. Then they said that the systems were compatible, so they sent me one of the switches and gave detailed instructions on how to hook it up. There was one issue where my existing system had a wiring difference with the Link system. One of the ports wasn't right, so I called the Link people back and suggested, "Can I do this other connection instead?" The rep checked on it and said I could. I did it and everything worked.

However, the first control panel they sent had a flaw and didn't work, so they helped me verify that it really didn't work. They sent me a new one overnight, although their usual policy was to send items in a couple of days. Then they helped me set that up and troubleshoot it. So, even though we had that one little glitch, they stayed with me through the process till we got everything working.

Now that our new security system is in place, there are two things. First, the existing peace of mind we had was still there. Second, there are new devices that we also liked and the main thing for us was the possibility of being able to use more things with our new system. Our system has been upgraded and this gives us the way of adding all of those other things that we wanted. We've made some changes already, whereas before we would've had to make a big change to the system. All the windows are covered and we also have a glass break sensor for some of our windows that don't open, and now we're about to add some extra things, like the doorbell camera that we liked.

Link Interactive had updated the equipment to like ADT Home Security. ADT Home Security required me to have a landline phone line but I wanted it based off of internet. I'm in a rural area that doesn't know of hi-speed so, I have internet by satellite. Link Interactive is the most interactive thing that I could get a hold of, especially within the short notice. I placed the order and the salesperson walked me through. The website for the security system offered numerous items and I don't really know what I need. I called them and said, "This is what I got. This is what I want" and he laid it all out there and we're good to go.

The customer service team was great and they walked me through as well. With Link Interactive's software, if you are doing your initial connection, each one represents its own specific Wi-Fi. You have to log-in and go to that special site to recognize it, then convert it over to your Wi-Fi. If you don't have all the cameras up at once, you have to go into each individual one afterwards and have it recognized. If you're adding a camera, you have to go in and reroute it each time to make sure it's going to be connected to the specific router. You have to rename the router to recognize to go into yours. But I got that figured out and it's not difficult. It's a software thing and has not anything to do with the hardware.

In addition, I wish that the specs for the cameras indicated what is a nominal or what is an ideal range for the cameras to project because I noticed that I had to move the camera a few times in order to figure out where exactly would still receive a good signal. Other factors came into play like how many walls I'd have to penetrate or if I go through a floor for the signal to penetrate through based on the Wi-Fi projection.

Moreover, my cameras went down and they need to be reset but I've been down here in Mexico for almost a month and a half now. I have no one at my house right now and I'm 1,800 miles away from my home. I don't have anyone that has access that can go in there, shut the power off and turn it back on. They probably do that for security measures so that you have to physically reset it. I wish there was a way to remotely reset the system itself, that someone would remotely log-in and shut off their cameras. On the other hand, the door signal still works and the home unit is still good.

I researched Link Interactive on the internet. When I looked at the input from actual clients, they seemed to be superior than others and they were rated high. Also, they were associated with Costco, which I'm a Costco fan. However I've been horrified with their customer service. I almost quit but decided to keep it. The thing that appalled me is I got it 'cause my husband is supposed to travel and the guy said it would be there Saturday. My husband left and it didn't get there. I called FedEx and they said it was definitely shipped to be either four or five days so it would get there the following week after he left. And the guy never told me. He just wanted to make the sale.

More importantly, I got it so my child could stay alone. And lo and behold, the first 14 days it's setup so it doesn't actually call the police. If it would alert, it just goes to a file for 14 days and then makes note of it and doesn't call anyone. No one told me that and I could have left my child alone. They need to disclose that and say, "For some reason, your account is set up so that in 14 days, nothing happens."

Then there are all these other quirks I haven't resolved where I do the 30-second alert, but if you deactivate it in the 30-seconds and they don't call the police or call you, what's the point of a 30-second delay if you don't really use it. If I'm robbed, then I have to deactivate it because there's a gun in my head, in 30 seconds they don't call anyway. So, why give the impression you have a 30-second delay? Then one time we set off the alarm and they didn't ask for my password. I asked, "Aren't you supposed to ask for my password?" "No, it's fine now we've called your cellphone, we don't need to ask for your password because we know it's your cellphone." "What if someone could do it?" And they said now I have to think of another password.

I haven't thought of another password yet. I'm so confused about it. I'm appalled and I found another company. When I called and told Link Interactive I was going to leave, they didn't even try to keep me or say, "Oh, we'll look into those things." They just said, "Okay just return your equipment." But now, that I have all of this, I don't want to mess with another company. I'm going to stay with them for the time being. But I've returned the video equipment which I didn't like because it doesn't zoom. And then we could never figure out how to install the glass break feature so I just didn't do it. My husband did the installation of the alert system, which did not take long. But they could have provided a lot more directions on that.

I had the system installed but the Link Interactive team had discussed all the components over the phone and what I wanted to do and they programmed it all. I went into some modifications so it cost me more to make it the way I wanted it.

I had a lot of pre-sales questions before I got about how things would work or how to set the system up. Then occasionally, I had one problem with the component and it turned out it was just the battery. The Link Interactive team promptly sent me another one at no charge. The company has been great. When I did have a problem, they resolved it immediately. The tech support people are excellent, very friendly, and let you talk and ask as much as you want.

I’m so happy with the quality of the system and its components. It's very well built and everything is very small so it’s easy to mount in tight areas. The system is very sophisticated in terms of its software where you could program things to notify you even if you didn't have the alarm on. You would want to know if there’s somebody walking around and the system will give instant messages whenever there's anything going on in the house. Sometimes I have to have a contractor come and with the motion sensor, I know that the contractors are working in the place where they're supposed to be and not lounging around somewhere else. It gives me a good sense of security because everything is protected properly.

The contract with my existing security system provider was ending and I was looking to make a change. The sales representative from Link Interactive was great. I was very skeptical because the last company that I dealt with told me a lot of things upfront that weren't true and didn't happen. I was under contract with them for three and a half years and tried to cancel for two years. The Link Interactive representative gave me a lot of detail because I had a lot of questions. She answered all including the agreement and all of the little small fine print. The crazy part was when I called back a month or so later, because my contract with the other wasn't up then, the same lady answered the phone and she said she remembered me. So that was a great experience.

I linked the Link Interactive system into an existing system and there was no problem as far as connecting the sensors. But in getting the system to learn the old thing, there was a problem with that. But the technical support ended up walking me through it and so the system was up and running. As far as customer service and technical support, they have been on-point, handling everything over the phone and not needing to have a technician come out compared to the last company I had where I had 15 to 20 visits by a technician and they still didn't solve the problem. With Link Interactive, I don't have to take time away to be home for a technician to get here. I could just call at my convenience and they will help me through it. I was impressed by that. I have lesser worries and more peace of mind.

I like the ease of use of Link Interactive with the phone app and the self-install hardware. It’s a pretty simple, straightforward system and is cheap, too. During the initial interaction with the sales rep, we got a little miscommunication. The problem was I got a promotional deal with a free sensor and I bought a sensor because they didn't catch the free sensor. So I have an extra one that I didn’t hook up but I’ll just figure out a place to put it. They only added $18, which wasn’t a big pull-back.

Another issue was the SkyBell doorbell was very difficult to install because I had an intercom in between the doorbell and my doorbell wiring didn’t match their schematics of a typical doorbell. My system was a little more difficult so I had to have an electrician come up. I reached out to Link about itl and they referred me to SkyBell and they sent some documentation email. Eventually, I got it to work. Maybe Link should ask the customer if they should send out a guy to install the SkyBell. I probably would have took advantage of that. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with the system and it works great now. Link also helped me when I had to get it registered with the local P.D. It wasn’t explained until after the fact but it’s very minor. I’ll still recommend Link Interactive.

Link Interactive's reps weren't pushy as opposed to some other places that I had called. I made one phone call and then I received an email quote and I had more questions. I had a couple of emails back and forth and then I called back. Then I made my decision. It took a while to install because of getting everything and then there were a couple of things that were not clear until we called. We tested it to make sure it was working. I had to call them and they said I had to press the button for 30 to 45 seconds. We were back and forth with several phone calls on different things. The glass break didn’t go off, and there’s a button on it that doesn’t do anything. It took two nights between the installing and then making sure that everything worked and feeling okay and I felt there wasn’t much education or there was nothing in the information that I could read to have not made those phone calls.

Also, I'm not sure if I chose the right system because I ended up getting motion detectors, door and window sensors, but I don't know if I needed a glass break and I don't know what could be better. Also, I was told that the motion detectors can be set to not go off on a 50-pound dog, but it goes off on my daughter who is less than 30 pounds so I can't use it when I'm at home at night. I can't set it on Away Mode. I have to put it on a Stay Mode. Sometimes it won’t go off of me. At the beginning we had it set so that we could hear whenever it would go off, but eventually we turned that off. But sometimes it wouldn’t go off of me and my daughter would be in the room for 10 minutes and then it would go off. But I've had a good experience overall and I would recommend Link Interactive to people who feel like they could install themselves.

A friend of mine who is an existing customer recommended Link Interactive. I also made my own analysis of what the offering is in terms of technology and price compared to competitors. Then, I received a very good support during the phase of trying to figure out what I want and need through the process of getting a system to try for a month. These are the reasons which convinced me that Link Interactive is a good service provider. There was an easy way of trying the system for a month which gave me the confidence that I needed. Otherwise, I would have probably not signed a three-year commitment which is one of the downsides Link Interactive has. I'm spending 36 months of the monthly fee and I'm on the hook for three years no matter what.

Installation of the first generation system was easy. I stuck the sensors using Blu Tack instead of screwing them against the wall. It keeps it there for a couple of days until I figured out if that's where I want the sensor to be or not which made the whole process even easier. However, in the later generation of motion sensors, it's not well-described where the range of detection is in which of the mounting positions. It was a trial-and-error thing but it was a minor issue.

They also have great customer service. I had multiple phone calls with representatives with regards to advice for set-up and configuration of the system and exchange of parts. And that has always been very responsive, helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There are others that are cheaper and the long-term commitment is not ideal but otherwise, I'm happy with the choice that I made.

I wanted to have a company that has the 24 hours a day monitoring. There are a lot of security systems out there where it would ring up a central station if an alarm went off but that's all it would do. It wouldn't go outside of my house to inform anybody else. I got Link Interactive and I like the fact that I have the panic button. I just got divorced and my ex is not being civil, so I wanted that panic button. I got it set up for emergency services and it will immediately text my parents’ phone if I press the button.

With Link and any other security company, it goes back to the main stations and then they call the owner to make sure the system’s not accidentally tripped. But with Link, it makes a loud, audible sound for me and the system sends a text message to my mom’s phone and she knows that she’s immediately to call the cops. So if I were to accidentally trip it, I would call my mom right away. So that cuts out the middleman and I can get the police at my home much quicker.

Another thing that I like is that I can set up the alarm on my own and I’m in control of the passwords, instead of having a person come into my home and set up the passwords. I like the fact that it has ‘Z-Wave’ technology so that I can hook up other things to the Link Interactive system. The last thing that I like is that Link Interactive doesn't operate off of a Wi-Fi and that a phone line can be attached. A lot of alarm systems can be disabled using a signal scrambler. Link operates off of the same technology for cell phones. But we're not getting charged for the cell phone fee.

However, Link Interactive advertises that anybody can install the system, but it can’t. Their instructions were not concise and not clear at all. They were nonexistent. I called their technical support number and they were unable to answer the questions I had. On their motion detector, all they have is a diagram and it was incorrect. It shows the placement of the screws prior to the unit being placed on the wall but they fall away from the wall based on the design because you hang them up. Link Interactive recommends six to seven feet up the floor so they tilt and can see everything on the floor. But the instructions on the placement of the screws are upside down. So if I do it exactly per the diagram, you'd hang it so that it doesn't tilt forward and get the floor area because if you’re going to have motions, it's more than likely going to be on the floor as opposed to four feet in the air and above. So that was one issue.

Then the design of the sensors that they have for the windows is horrible. They have a little flimsy plastic part. I have to take them apart then attach the one piece to the frame or the window, depending on how it's being installed, and then I have to put them back together. But taking them apart, on two of the four window sensors I received, they broke. And I was being gentle with them. So on two of them, I’m using a little piece of tape to hold the units together. Because if they're not together fully, even though the batteries aren’t in them, they will ring up the alarm central station that they're not activated. It would have been nice to have it designed in such a way that that little plastic tab wouldn't break off.

But I was able to figure everything out because I work in a very technical field so it wasn’t a huge issue to me but it’s one thing that Link should improve upon. Their instructions need to be written out in a better format and reviewed by customers so that the average consumer can readily install the equipment. All in all, I would recommend Link Interactive.

It was a little more expensive than some others, but on the higher side of the ones I was looking at, it was certainly reasonable. The installation was quite straightforward. The most difficult pieces were some of the door sensors because of the trim I have at this house and how I designed it. It was a little bit more difficult to get them installed appropriately, so it required a little more drilling and work than I had maybe anticipated but nothing insurmountable. I like the DIY aspect of it and the ability to customize and piecemeal the items that made sense now and the ability to expand on that later. The instructions say to put screws in the wall when they could probably accomplish it with a double-sided tape to make it a little easier. Also, the siren for the alarm wasn't loud enough because it comes through the panel and the panel’s on the other side of the house. I asked what my options were and they offered me a Z-Wave siren. When I received it, I found that it had a limited range and needed to be close to the panel, which defeats the purpose. Then they told me about another type of wireless external siren, but they didn't offer it and I'd have to go buy it from a third party. I was searching for good reviews for an alarm system and found Link Interactive. I liked their monthly price. However, I have failures right now in the system and I haven't gotten a phone call from them informing me about it. I feel like I'm in the air with this and that if my alarm will go off, the company will not call me in any way. I used to have ADT and if a sensor will go off or will have a failure, they will call me right away.

Also, I was told that by buying the motion sensors, it will be cheaper than me putting sensors in the windows. What I was not told is that I would need sensors in the windows because once I'm in the house, I cannot use the motion sensors. I got to have sensors in the windows in case somebody wants to break in while I'm inside the house and they didn't think about that. The seller didn't tell me that so I was forced to buy window sensors. I would have preferred to buy all window sensors at the beginning instead of having motion sensors in the house.

Then when I called them because one of the sensors was having a failure, they kept saying it's the windows because they're metal. To me that's a straight-out bad customer service because nine out of ten houses have windows that are metal and glass. It will be useless to have windows made of wood or aluminum because anybody can break in. But I believe 100% that it is a bad sensor and they just don't want to replace it because it will cost them money. It has warranty and I cannot get a replacement. They campaign for cheap service but I have to go through the struggle to get a replacement. So I'm not sure what I'm paying for right now. I'm kind of at a rough end, I already spent more than $500 in sensors, and I have to continue with this service because I bought the sensors. It's not like I can sell them back to the company. It is a frustrating service and it's more like a utility bill now.

However, I'm not quite clear on how everything works together or how the system is as a whole. I haven't sat down and figured it out yet, and that's pretty much my only holdup. Link supplies the equipment and then Alarm.com does the monitoring. That's interesting because when I had a question about my equipment and I called Alarm.com, they were completely not helpful because that's not their lane. I have no idea how things would be accomplished with this setup.

Link Interactive was the best setup that we could have bought. They have a much updated console, which is the brain of any home security system. It's all touchscreen, which is pretty neat in terms of displaying the weather. There’s also the fact that the control panel has a two-way voice. That was something we thought was pretty handy because if something happens, instead of me going and searching for my phone, I can go over to the control panel and have the things communicated. The other factor was they had this integration with Alarm.com. My wife and I control everything through phones. Their price was also very competitive.

My first interaction with them was with Nick and he was amazing. I still interact with him for small questions and he has been great in answering all my questions and that was one of the very positive impressions I got about Link. I got such a personalized service from him and he always looked into the right team whenever any questions need to be answered.

This is our first home security system so obviously we were a little charmed by how all these things work. But we feel a little more secure in the sense that it's always safe. The other day a contractor was here and he left the keys somewhere. Then he told us they were going and I could see that the doors were all locked so everything is seamless. It's a significant investment and so far it's good. The only lowlight is the notion of the three-year contract, which was the one thing that was kind of straying us away from them.

Link Interactive is awesome. We use ADT at work and they couldn't do what I want with cameras so I didn't go with them, and also, they are using a landline. I didn't have a landline at the time so I needed a cellular service. I then did a Google search, and I found Link and contacted them. Mitch sent me an email back and we talked on the phone. He helped me out and educated me, and I was very pleased. I was impressed because of the age of the company, I'm dealing with all the sites that are monitored in the U.S. and they're not off-shore. In fact, that sold me. Also, their price was really fair.

The people at Link are always willing to help me when I call and that is very impressive. The girl that helped me set the system up was phenomenal. She walked me through everything. It took us 15 minutes after I put on everything that I needed to and then she walked me through the controller, and everything was good to go. Next week I'll bring the cameras online because I'll finally have a phone line up here. They’ll walk me through that and I should be good to go. I hope that goes easy as well.

It's been nice dealing with Link. It's a pleasure dealing with people that I can talk to and are willing to help. Whoever owns it should keep it up because they got a great thing going. My house will be built next year so this system is going to go in my house. I'll have to put a repeater or an extension so it reaches my building. I'm going to arm my house with a camera. I have no complaints. It's a great service, and I greatly appreciate it. In addition, my partner bought his whole system for his house from Link. I recommended them to him.

I've been using Link for two months now and the functionality and usability are fantastic. The little mobile unit I have requires no wiring. Everything is wireless and it actually works. They also do the whole two-way communicator thing on the panel and it's one of the features that really attracted me to them. Also, I like the monthly cost.

Two weeks ago I tested their response time and it was fantastic. I came in and I let the alarms go off. I was told it was a one minute delay, so I let it count down to one minute and then the alarm starts ringing. Someone called over the intercom within 15 seconds. And after a while I was talking to that person and they had already dispatched law enforcement, so that was excellent. When leaving the house I normally lock the door and don’t really think about it. Now it’s a better peace of mind when I leave the house. I still lock the door, but even if I did not lock the door, it’s confidence knowing that I can arm the system and it’s still going to be safe and I could do it from my mobile device. We then looked at Link and they were cheaper and their reviews were really good as well, so we went with them. The installation was very easy. The only hard thing was doing the drilling. I was worried about it because I don't like putting holes in my house, but we ended up doing it. The drilling took some time for the motion detector. And then, we put one of the glass break sensors on the ceiling in the living room.

We had false alarms because of my dogs. We called Link and one guy helped us position the motion sensor that was having issues. There was one motion sensor picking up my dog a lot in the hallway. So, he told us to point it up more. Right now, when we leave the house, we're arming it for ‘stay’, not ‘away’. And then one thing I want to do this weekend is to try to fix all of the motion sensors, point them up, and then we can retry doing ‘away’. We're doing ‘stay’, which is not really that great because the motion sensors won't work when it's on ‘stay’. Other than that, we have everything else up and running.

So far, Link Interactive has been doing good. Their system is wireless and their features were suitable for our needs. We have a pretty straightforward warehouse with three doors. We didn't need too much fancy stuff but they have the option to install camera. Setting it up was much easier than I expected it. I was very nervous in the beginning because I've seen those other guys install and I thought there was a lot of wiring involved. Their price was another thing. I would have no problem ordering from them again.

I've been with Link Interactive for four months now and their team have been okay. The installation of the security device was fairly simple. The alarm itself works but the only thing that bothers me is that I have to call my police department to attach it, and it was something that I wasn’t aware of.

The email and the text messaging things have been really nice and easy. It's also reasonably priced and I'm super happy with it. Since having the system, I definitely have more peace of mind, and I'm able to walk away and know that my house is protected.

It was very easy to set up the device. Since installing the system, I definitely have fewer worries. My door is weird and the sensors were far from one another, so there was an incident where it went off when it didn’t need to. It caused a scare, but Link Interactive is sending another piece to put on my door so that the sensors can be closer. I called them, told them my situation, and they’re fixing it so it's perfect.

decided to switch to Link Interactive mainly because it's wireless. Installing the device was easy but it’s not completely intuitive. Hopefully their people are helpful in providing information about how to change things around. I'll probably need to call when I want to add, modify or do some advanced stuff, but overall it was good. Having the app to manage the alarm system is truly helpful since I'm not dependent on the main panel there. I can also disarm, arm and do a few things which is a big advantage.

Attempting to Update Credit Card Information Online. The pull-down menus on your website did not work for me. I could not change the information already entered. Try as I might, I could not type new month/year, could not get the pull-down to set on the correct date, could not delete what was already there -- very frustrating! I also looked for contact information (phone or live chat), and couldn't find that. I finally found a telephone number on an invoice. Please correct both of these as soon as possible. The live operator that I called was very nice and helpful.

We talked to some companies and some friends about other home security systems. And then I went online and started comparing the actual products that my friends use because there seemed to be a problem with other systems. We also had somebody else who gave us quotes for the another product. ADT also came out to the house knowing that we didn't have a traditional landline, and they came and didn't even say, "Hey, if you've got a traditional landline, it's this price, and if you don't, it's much more." But I ain't paying that much.

Then I started looking through and comparing them, and I found that the product that Link Interactive uses seems to be good since they have a lot of features of some that were more expensive. And then I found a website where somebody compared all the vendors and looked at them. Vivint, which is very well-known, seemed to be charging $15 more for the same product that Link Interactive has, so I looked at Link and said, "Hey, why don't we see what Link Interactive is about?" And so far, Link has been good. I would recommend it to other people. It's got features that are much better than ADT that our friends have.

With Link Interactive I definitely have more peace of mind, especially with a new home. I had an issue with a sensor and they resolved it fairly quickly. Customer service has been great so far. They’ve been very receptive to any questions I have. I've never had any real problems with them. The one problem I do have is they don’t really provide as much documentation as I would've preferred. They provide you with links to some videos but they don’t tell you exactly what to do in those videos, especially if you purchased new equipment. For example, I had to call for smart bulbs. It's very simple to do it but it would've been nice if they had documentation for it.

Also, on their site, they provide two different panels like the home control panels. The upgraded panel, which you would think would be better or superseded the previous one, is actually not as good as the older. And I was actually told that by the Link Interactive folks as well, so at least they were honest about that. But it's a little odd that they would have equipment that isn't necessarily better than what they currently have.

The sales team was good to work with. Everything was fairly smooth and very easy. I ordered everything online and they came on time. So far, the experience has been very good. I have the system for about a month and a half but I haven't completely set it up yet. The reason is I'm putting it on a residence that's under construction right now and it's not complete.

The customer service is great so far and even if I had some problems with one of the devices that they sold to me, I returned it back and they replaced it for me. They help and guide you through the whole process so I like it. It’s got some technical issues that I wish it’s more advanced like you can control your security system more and pick which sensor you can activate. Being able to integrate with the sensors that I already had installed was the reason we went with Link Interactive. We've been with them for about 2 months, and it's been pretty good with the customer service department. In installing the Link system, the takeover module will let you use your old sensors. It's a challenge to do, but if you follow the instructions, you'll get there. I installed some new wireless devices. There's one feature with the advertised panel that does not work properly, but there's not much I can do about it. Since we installed our Link system we have maybe a little bit more peace of mind. We never really expect to get robbed anyway.
