I chose Link based on ranking and technology. The salesperson that I worked with when purchasing the product when I called, was awesome. She followed up on questions. I had so much going on at that time and there were times that we were going to talk but I couldn’t. She was great about the whole thing. Installing the system was okay, but I would've paid more to have somebody do it. Otherwise, the system is user-friendly and I like the doorbell feature. We started in June with Link and we feel a bit more secure and comfortable.

Link Interactive was recommended to me by a guy who did some other work in my house. He even installed it at and did a great job. It was easy to use in terms of being able to open up the doors from my phone. Unfortunately I had a problem with it but their reps answered all of my questions and took care of everything. My wife feels safer with Link Interactive and I've never felt unsafe as well. I had a very positive experience and I would recommend it to somebody if they asked me about it.

I was doing an online search, found a list of recommended companies and I decided on Link because of a combination of cost and service. I have them for about a month now. Installing their system was easy. It was all peel and stick and loading up the main screen and hitting test. It;s also gone well every time I've had to talk to their team. They’ve answered any questions then everything is solved. Since installing the system, I worry less about leaving my dogs at home and leaving the house in general. It’s convenient, reliable and there’s this feeling of safety with Link Interactive.

We've been with Link Interactive for a month now and we have a motion sensor, a glass break sensor, and the regular door sensor. My husband did the installation and he said it was easy. Yesterday, the glass break sensor went off and it turned out that the Link people couldn't call the police. In the city where I live, you have to get a permit to do so but luckily my husband works really close to the house so he came over here and everything turned out to be okay. Still, they were friendly and it was really quick. We're usually gone for long periods of time and my pets are my main worry so it's good to know that everything is so immediate and quick. I have already highly recommended them to some people I know because it's easy and there's a lot of features per the price point.

I am pleased with Link Interactive. I searched online and Link Interactive is always ranked number one or two in the reviews. It’s a wireless system and installing it was very simple and everything was easy right out of the box. The instructions that came with the box were not great but the ones online were more detailed. It was a simple setup from there. I also used the Alarm.com app and it’s been very handy. It makes it very easy to set or make sure that I had set the alarm. We've had a big spike in burglaries and Link Interactive helps give me the peace of mind that my stuff would be okay. It was very comfortable leaving my wife at home because we got the security system.

I am very satisfied with my experience with Link Interactive. I went with them because of the thoroughness of their pre-sales support and the security system was easily installed in a new commercial location two months ago. We certainly feel more secure having the system and it has helped us accentuate new processes. Link Interactive has been thorough and helpful.

My contractor set me up with Link Interactive for my office space. He said it would be clean and streamlined, and it would meet my needs. Installing the system was fine. In emailing and in the portals, I felt that there were a couple of extra layers of that than there needed to be but it all worked. Once I called Link for help on my keypad and the support was great. The experience was efficient overall. We've been using Link Interactive for two weeks now and it's been working good so far.

I was browsing the internet, I read the reviews about Link Interactive and then I went ahead and got the system. The earlier owner of my home was using the same system and it was already installed at my home so we bought it again and it's been two months now. I added one more lock into my system and configured the lock into the system. It was an easy and straightforward experience. I called the team when I had to set it up in the beginning and they were really helpful. We just have to arm and disarm the system every time we go out of the house. Link Interactive has been great and their customer service has been excellent.

I did some research on the internet for different service providers and I compared Link Interactive to four different other companies. I liked the combination of services that we could receive versus a front cost as well as ongoing monthly cost. Installing the security system was fairly easy. The only difficulty I had was getting the cameras in the right place. I had to reinstall two cameras because they weren’t giving us the view that we needed. Also, I was having issues getting our cameras to connect over the Wi-Fi. The signal wasn’t strong enough so I had to do some reconnecting of the signal and some moving around to get things in the right place so the installation took longer than I expected.
When I talked to their reps concerning a couple of things, they answered my questions for the most part and they were able to help me out. My main issue was in signing up. They said that we had a thousand clips of videos that would be stored at any one time and that the oldest ones should be removed as a new one came on. What they did not explain was that I had a limit per month so I can only upload 1000 clips and then it turned off my cameras. Had I known about this, I would have chosen a different company.
I had five days with no coverage and when I spoke to a rep about it, she was not sure how to handle my frustration and wasn’t able to answer my questions. She kept repeating the same phrase over and over again then she shut down. But she was not solving my issue. She finally agreed to give us the extension for the month because I was still three days from the restart of my monthly allotment. Now, they're monitoring it to see if we are going to go over each month because if so, then I'm paying more than what I originally expected for the service.
I was disappointed in the way that they phrased how the cloud loading would actually work. But other than that, it's nice to be able to look at the cameras when I'm not here. All of us can access it when we're away to see what's going on the property. That’s a nice improvement which is why we switched to a cloud-based camera system and as far as the rest of the coverage, everything is working right.

I had a system before but I replaced it with Link Interactive. Link had very good reviews and had functions like the video recording that I needed. I’m not good at doing things that well on my own, but I liked that I can install the equipment by myself without having somebody else to come into the house. It was very simple to do that. The instructions were very easy to follow and they also provided video tutorials which were excellent. The person who sold me the system and the customer support were really helpful when I had some questions regarding installing light sensors. The people at Link Interactive were really superb. I feel good that I have the system. We went on vacation and I was able to monitor things. Link is excellent and I’m very happy so far with the system and the support. I’m highly satisfied with my experience.

I came across one of Link's packages, read reviews about it and thought it was something worth trying out. I ended up calling them multiple times and they were happy to help. That’s pretty marketing and I always get that. However, we were almost going to get Frontpoint but when I compared all the security systems, I felt that Link Interactive's whole package, including their features of home automation and panel, was worth paying $35 for. Out there, Vivint or ADT are doing pretty much the same thing and I didn't feel worried spending so much for the same features and technology.
We also felt that they were giving their extra effort plus at the end of the day, both Frontpoint and Link Interactive are by Alarm.com so that was another selling point for us to go with Link. Our experience with the customer service in ordering and calling them, and with the installation, was straightforward. I didn't need any help with the installation and we got it installed in no time. I've had them for the last two months and so far, so good.

Link wasn’t nearly as expensive as other security providers and I didn’t have to have a phone line to use it which was nice. It's simple. We put in the system after we got broken into, and it gave us peace of mind. If we’re gone, at least there’s something that can notify us or some type of system is over the house while we’re gone. Installing the system was fairly simple, but the directions could have been a little clearer on things. We've had Link for about a month now and overall, I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

System components did not operate properly from first insulation. Glass break never worked, had to return motion detector and replacement failed also. Other detector having issues too. Could be a download problem, but I spent more time on the phone with so many phone calls. I did not want to be stuck in a three year deal with inferior products. Customer service was okay, people friendly, sometimes not that knowledgeable, but when I did not get a call back I knew it was time to cancel.

I have cancer and I got Link Interactive because I’ll be here by myself sometimes. This thing is different from the other one I had. If I knew it’s do-it-yourself I wouldn't have ordered it because we're old. We had to put it in ourselves and we had a hard time over it and we're still having a hard time with it. It took us two months to get it a little bit started, but it's still not working like it should. They’re going to charge us for this, but they don’t come out to help me and that's not doing us any good cause we can't get this thing working right. I'm having some issues with it right now and I don’t understand it. I came and looked at who came to my house and it didn't even record anything. I like what it does, but I wouldn't recommend to a friend right now.

I've used Link Interactive for about two months now. They have DIY features, as well as good prices, so I went with them. Installing it was simple and when I needed help and called, it was easy having people to talk to. They’ve also called me a couple of times to ask about how the system is going.

I’ve been using Link Interactive for about three months now. They have a good price, ease of installation and the functionality was really good. Also, the app is through the alarm dock console. It’s easy to use and it’s very efficient. There’s one very tiny nitpick, though. The motion sensor is a bit inconsistent. I’m testing it at home, just moving around, and sometimes, it doesn’t activate. My understanding is when there’s motion, it will activate.
Also, on the bottom floor of our duplex, the alarm went off for a good 30 minutes because a contractor got inside without me knowing. It was so loud inside that it affected the contractor. He couldn’t navigate inside, which is good in something. But the volume isn’t loud enough to bother the exterior. It’s not loud enough for our neighbors to hear and call the cops for us. It’s not that big of a deal, though, because either way, the cops will come, which is wonderful. I like Link Interactive so far. I even introduced them to all my friends and they’re in the process of switching from other companies.

I liked Link Interactive's reviews online. This is my first alarm system and I’ve been using it for two weeks. I had a couple of questions with getting my door camera set up. I gave the representative a call and he helped me out 100%. The only thing I haven't installed yet is the doorbell because my house wasn't equipped with a doorbell before. So, I got to add a couple of extra things to install the doorbell. Other than that, everything was simple.
Everything has been positive and the system works. We had this one incident where the panel has the glass break function. If it hears any glass, it goes off. I left the house and it had a storm and some lightning hit. That set off my glass break on my panel. The system was fast that the police officer was at the house in two minutes. When I called up, the police said that the frequency of the lightning is around the same frequency as a glass break. It does set it off at times and it has happened before to other customers. So far, the experience has been easy, it's affordable, and it gives us peace of mind.

Link Interactive's customer satisfaction ratings on Angie’s List were considerably higher and their pricing was good. They also had a special that would allow you to get the most of the equipment you would need if you go ahead and agreed to the contract for three years. I installed the system myself and it was easy. I had a little bit of a mishap when I was first getting my equipment set-up and Link's team was very helpful and nice. I was really impressed. So far, I’ve been very pleased with Link's customer service, the response to the alarms going off, the price and the equipment, too. All in all, it was a stress-free experience.

I have been with Link Interactive since August, and so far, I’m not happy with them. When I initially contacted Link to get details, the main questions I asked were "How would I pay my bills? Is it through credit card, checking account, or automated like you take it every month, or can I pay every six months, monthly?" I didn’t want anything taken out of my bank account monthly and wanted to pay every six months because I don't keep up with my account. I sent them payment for six months at one time and then, I received three different invoices with different amounts. I also received an invoice saying that my payments will be taken out automatically. I called and told them that I would not give my credit information and that I made decisions based on the information I was given. They said “okay,” but proceeded to debit my account.
It felt like they didn’t know what they’re doing which didn't not make me feel comfortable. I threatened to cancel the contract because it was less than 30 days. Someone called and talked me out of it. But my impression with them is already negative and there’s nothing they can do to change it. It also didn’t help that the girl I spoke with was rude and pushy. She didn’t even listen to what I had to say. I would not recommend them.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We will work hard to change your impression of us. Thank you for your patience.

All security systems seemed to be on equal footing with only slight differences so the biggest factor in choosing Link Interactive over the others was mainly the cost. There are some things that weren’t very clear like the instructions for the panel configuration, but for the most part, the installation was great. Customer service was professional and they answered my questions. There were a couple of other things I forgot to ask, but just like everyone else, I haven't been rescheduled and it’s not critical right now. Now that I have Link, my tenants are more comfortable so that helps me.

Link Interactive’s price is reasonable and there are a lot of good reviews about the customer service and response time. The sales reps were good and everything went smoothly and straightforward. The self-installation was easy. Motion sensors needed drilling but that was the only drilling or nailing that I had to do. Everything else was stuck on with adhesive. Although it’s not yet armed, I have everything through the app so I can see. Everything's fine.

We had a break-in before so I did some research to find a good fit for a security company and Link Interactive was one of the top ranked security service providers on several, different consumer review sites. The other two companies that I contacted prior to Link had a very aggressive sales strategy that was very off-putting to me. In contrast, the gentleman from Link was very helpful, explained everything, and took the time to answer my questions. I got calls right away and multiple calls afterwards. When I was about to decide on which company to go with, I called him back with a question and left a message, and he called me right back. So, I decided to go with Link based on that experience with them since the other two companies offered security services that were around the same price. I've been using the Link system for a couple of months now.
I also liked that Link had a do-it-yourself kind of installation since I generally do everything myself. It was nice that they mailed me everything and installing the Link system was very easy and simple, and everything has been great so far. The system comes with a main panel that's like a tablet so everything is based on a touch screen. Then the sensors are put on the doors and windows. I had one issue, though, on the delay entry. I was able to do a delay entry on the front door, but not on the back door. I called Customer Service to figure that out and someone connected with me right away. I was a little confused at first but they explained everything. With their help, I was able to set my back door up for delay entry as well.
In addition, we got motion cameras for the front door because we've always heard about people coming up and stealing packages in our neighborhood. But since we put these up, the only ones that have come by are people we know and the mailman. Overall, Link Interactive has been easy and great to work with and I've already recommended them to several of my neighbors.

I just have to tape things on the windows and walls. They pre-setup all the sensors into the system for me so I didn’t have to do that. Customer service is excellent. I had an issue already and they took care of it pretty well. Having the alarm on and knowing that if something happens it goes off, especially at night, we feel safer. My coworker told me about Link Interactive. Their price was reasonable and the system wasn't hard to install. I just followed the directions and called in so they could go through some steps with me. They're very customer service oriented, friendly and patient. They answered all my questions and took their time to make me understand. The system's more techie and user-friendly. I like that I can add more stuff on it, like the thermostat in the house and the air. I also love its accessibility. I can do it on a mobile phone through the app. Every time I'm not at home and either my wife or my mother-in-law put the alarm on, I usually get a notification on my phone just to let me know what's going on. It's helpful to know that everything is fine at home. Other services that I have with the home security system didn't have any feature like that. They'll give a phone call if something was wrong, but not a text message or notification via e-mail.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly and you are enjoying the app. Please let us know if you ever need anything.

Link Interactive's salesperson was really good and worked with me to get something that was in budget and competitive with other solutions in the market. It took me a couple of hours to install the security system. I'm a relatively technical person, so it wasn't hard for me. But Link Interactive has reps other people can call that will walk them through and answer questions. The actual hardware and system all work really well. We feel a lot better and safer about how secure our home is. We also use the thermostat control and smart home features extensively.

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience and please let us know if you ever have any questions or ever need anything in the future!

I was unhappy with the company I was using so I researched online and saw Link Interactive. I've had the security system for six years. It's the same equipment I had from Vivint and when I switched to Link Interactive, I kept the same equipment. When I moved to a new house, I left the old equipment at the old house and I bought a new one.
I’m still in the process of moving in so everything is not installed yet and the things that I installed have been fine. It was easy to install since the directions are there. However, I don’t ever talk to anybody from the company so I worry about whether it’s actually monitoring or not. I'm busy and I have a full-time job and I get home late, so I'm banking on the fact that it’s working at this point. It would be nice to have some reassurance from them. It makes me feel good to know that I have the equipment there and I assume everything is good if I don’t hear anything.
I have a new controller box and sometimes I don’t know how to control it. I want the controller to work with my front doorknob, where I put the code in and it automatically alarms the house. It seems that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t do that. It's because I've setup the software wrong so I need to go in and have a look at it but I haven’t had time to do that. What I need to do is to log into the website and set it up properly in the web. They have rules that I setup the software online and that’s where I’m going wrong. Other than that, Link Interactive have been great.

I was looking for the best security online and found Link Interactive. We've had Link since July and we feel safer with it. They are very responsive and wanted to make sure that they help us. But, I didn't like the fact that I had to install it myself because it was a little too complicated for me. So we haven't installed all the components and haven't been using it to its full advantage. Then again, they had explicitly said that the installation was gonna be complicated. They also said that we would get locked in for two years, which is not fair.

Thanks for your feedback. When you are ready to get the rest of your equipment installed please let us know.

We’ve been using Link Interactive system for a month now. We installed it ourselves, it was easy and I like it. We got a round doorbell camera and it was a pain to install. Afterwards, I saw that there was a skinny doorbell camera which would have been better because there’s a smaller section that had to put in an extra piece to get it to work. But my doorbell camera is not working right now so I got to undo it and see what I can do to make it work. We had a false alarm the other night and that woke us up but they responded quickly. I called tech support to figure out why it happened but their customer service said they weren’t in until later but they could take down my name and number. They just told me it was the garage sensor which we knew. However, their tech support never called us back.
This was last Friday so I still have to contact them but I’m a busy person and I’ve forgotten about it until I tried to set it up, but I didn’t want to do it because it’s going to wake up my baby if it goes off in the middle of the night. Their customer service was okay however, I suggest that they have a 24/7 tech support than just emergencies at night. Nevertheless, we definitely have a higher sense of security now but I haven’t received the bill yet which makes me concerned.

I went for Link Interactive because of their price and what they offered. We ran into some difficulties and we tried to actually look up the video tutorials. But when we would go to the page it would say they did not exist. But my husband was actually the one who set it up and he said it was easy once he figured it out. Also when I spoke to one of the representatives and asked them some questions the rep was very nice about answering all of my questions. He also showed me exactly how to do what I wanted to do. My concern was sometimes the customer wait. I can understand that there's a lot of people that need assistance. Once it took like 15 minutes and then the call was dropped and I had to call back. But the system was great. I felt less worried when we had the system.

Link Interactive had a couple of sensors that were a little bit better suited for what I had to do with my house than the closest competitor, and I’ve been using them for a month now. In the beginning, I did a fake order and my browser stored it but we changed it. I had two separate versions of what I had put into the browser since I used one at home and another one at work. They were both in the system at one time even though I was only using one of them. It got confusing because when I was at home and went back and looked at the order that I was thinking of putting in, it was the original rather than the one I had put in at the office.
Installation was fine but I had one bad sensor that I reported to customer service. They had me running around in circles trying to put a tilt sensor on the garage door in different places. I had tested it to find out and it didn’t work. I do tech for my own computer business but they didn’t trust that I knew. Tech people always assume the other person’s dumb, which normally can be correct, and it was funny. I went ahead and did what they said and then, in the end, they said they'd replace it.
I've also been in correspondence about a problem I had with the app since I'm having a malfunction. I have GPS initialized and it reads my phone turning the alarm off. However, after a week, all of a sudden, on the top of the app, it says that the cell phone has malfunctioned. It still functions but I get that message. So they asked me to double-check that I had the GPS initialized. I emailed them back this morning that I had that and they're going to go on and do something else on their end. Still, it was a good experience all in all. Since the installation, I feel more secure and I find that it has a minimal amount of interference in our life. It worked out well and it does what it's supposed to do which is what I was looking for.

I’ve been using Link for about a month and a half now. We're in a good neighborhood where I didn’t feel like I really needed a system but since I travel quite a bit, my wife wanted some sort of peace of mind. In case there's an issue, we got a system that works for us. So, I went with Link after seeing the ratings, reading reviews and talking to one of my friends who has it. But mine’s a totally different experience than what he got. I'm not happy with the system. I think there were a few things that were not done correctly that I wish were either disclosed or I wish I had known before.
My friend got his Link from Costco. Then he said you could buy your own sensors and attach them and Link wouldn't charge extra for them monitoring it. I have a couple of cameras already that are attached and hooked in the house but Link pretty much charged for that. It was new. Then he’s got a home entry system or lock thing that he can arm or disarm. I didn’t get one with mine. He told me he got it for free. So I called Link again and they told me it’s not free and that my friend may have gotten his through promotion. I told them they should’ve given me the option and just let me pay. Other than that, the interactions I had with the team have been great so far.
For the installation, I mostly just watched the videos on how people had installed it and proceeded to do it. And it wasn’t too difficult. The instructions were also there. I just installed the two motion detector and their glass breaker. I called on Sunday to make sure that they're activated. I actually had some questions on how they work because right now, every time it picks up a motion, it just says, “Living room motion detector activated,” and that’s a bit annoying. I just want that when we go to bed or when we are away from home, but not all the time. I didn’t know when I called yesterday that their office was closed and the operation hours were different. I was hoping that I could talk to somebody at that time and then figure it out right away because I travel quite a bit for my work. The only time I get is the weekends. But my experience with Link has been great for the most part. I probably would recommend it, but I would point out the things that I went through with my order.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback. We are glad you are getting the peace of mind you deserve. Please let us know if you ever need anything

It took at least a couple of months to get our Link Interactive system up and running. We had a lot of glitches. We had trouble with our panel and a smoke detector went off and then we were not able to get the alarm to stop. Then we were locked out of the panel for a while because we didn't know how to get into the panel. I didn't know the code and we tried all the codes they provided. But their customer service is good. Finally somebody figured out there's another code that we should try after lots of headache and calls back and forth.
We also had a problem when we had the faulty window sensor because they wanted us to send back the faulty sensor and we had already pulled it off our door and thrown it away. They said that they had sent us something in writing that we had to return it but we never read that. We had a little back and forth about that until they finally said to forget it and they replaced the sensor. We had to wait for that sensor to come back and it was frustrating cause we were leaving town and the system wasn't working. I told them I was not very happy at all. If everything has gone to plan then it would have been working faster.
Their customer support tried but I feel like because we had gotten us a new panel that maybe they didn't really know the ins and outs of it yet and that was frustrating from a customer's standpoint. Also they had given my address to the fire department, the police department and when I got here the police department was given the wrong address. Link Interactive said that when they had recorded the phone call to the dispatch and the dispatch had repeated the address back wrong. So that wasn't very good that they weren't for my house. But now that the system is working I'm happy and I would still choose to work with Link Interactive.

Sorry to hear about the glitches. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will work hard to earn your business. Thanks for being a valued customer.

They definitely were very good with answering questions and addressing all of my concerns. They were very knowledgeable and quick to answer the phone as well.
We had somebody come out in my old house and put all the sensors in, put the panels and program everything. Also, the glass break didn't have enough information on what was needed for it. For what they were trying to do with the glass breaks, we weren't sold enough of these items. A couple of things helped us decide to get Link Interactive. The upfront cost of the equipment was lower than a lot of the other places that we looked at. Another cool thing was that once I paid my monthly fee I can still purchase more equipment whenever I want and the rate doesn’t go up. We struggled to get the door sensors close enough together so when we open the door it goes off. That was a bit tricky but we finally got it.
Once we have everything set up including the glass break sensors we tried them on the panel. We labeled and tested them to make sure that they’re all linked together. We kept opening the doors and it wasn’t registering for some reason but after a while we figured it out. It’s been great and we really like having Link Interactive. When we leave the house we like seeing who turns the alarm on.
I’ve emailed back and forth with some of the ladies I first talked to. We returned the doorbell camera we ordered because our house wasn’t hardwired for a camera. They were super helpful and apologetic. The monthly rate ended up becoming lower. We’re still waiting for the doorbell camera reimbursement. They received it successfully when we shipped it back but I haven’t seen it refunded on my card so I have to keep an eye out for that. But other than that everything’s been good.

Happy to hear you got all the help you needed, and please let us know if you ever need anything else!

We've been using Link for about a month now. We like how it's customizable depending upon what you really need and we also like the equipment that you can get from them. They have a competitive rate as well. But it took a while of testing during the installation. I would advise future clients to check the kind of doors or windows they have because the sensors come in a rectangular shape that has a flat back. Some doors and windows have shims. So sometimes it's not so flush to the windows or doors and that might be a problem. Good thing for us, we found a way around it but we had to adjust that just to make it fit. Our doors had shims so there's a space behind the sensors, so it's not all that way flush to the wall. It's working though so we're good.
Link should still have on-call technicians that would come out and install the system professionally though. It's easy and it's something that anyone can do, but there’s a peace of mind knowing that someone has professionally installed and tested them correctly. Since the install, we feel more secure and we feel safer leaving the house. Sometimes it still scares us that it might come off and deliver a false alarm, but so far, it's been good. When we're at the house, we disarm it because we’re afraid we might forget that it's armed and then we might set it off. But when we're out, we definitely turn it on. So far, it's been great.

Most companies that come in and install it for you want to charge higher monthly service charge. Device installation was extremely easy. The only thing that really required some effort was just putting in the outdoor camera just because you have to go up a ladder but everything only involved is one or two screws. The garage door openers were kind of difficult and I had to call in and get help with both of those. Their guys have been knowledgeable, extremely professional and courteous. I'm completely happy with the functionality that's available. It does reminders and notifications and I had set the cameras up to detect motion and record based off of the motion that it sees.

We moved to our house in mid-May and started with Link Interactive then. We wanted a good balance and it had the same high-quality materials but wasn’t insanely expensive. The manager also granted us two full months of free service. They mailed us the stuff which got here within two days and we set it up ourselves. Normally, they pre-program everything but the whole detection thing you put on the door wasn’t programmed. I called them and they pre-programmed it. It took two minutes on the phone and it really was easy. It wasn’t bad at all.
I like having the system, personally, because when my boyfriend has to work at night, it's nice to know that someone would be alerted if anything would happen. I like how when you call them, it goes straight to a human. I don't like listening to automated things because it feels frustrating. With Link, it's very easy to get a hold of the manager so, if one of the reps has a question, I don’t have to be on hold for forever. Then, one time, they messed up, they sent us this glass break and gave it to us for free. They have a good customer service, they're very professional and efficient. It's overall a very positive experience.

The only thing was the yellow lab that sleeps with me likes to wake up when she has to go the bathroom. It happened about once a week for the first three weeks where I got up and opened the door and the sound would go off. But it was okay and it hasn't happened for about three weeks now. I probably talked to 20 other companies and a lot of them were really pushy when it came to their sales tactics. It was really surprising because you don't see a lot of companies doing that nowadays. But it was just a different kind of experience for Link Interactive. The guy was really helpful over the phone when he first set us up. He was pretty knowledgeable. Plus, their price was pretty competitive and we've been with them for six months now.
We got a box and it was pretty much self-installed. When we had any questions after going over the instructions, we just called and asked the guy. However, it wasn't the easiest doing the self-install. If they can provide an option if someone wants to have a technician out there for the initial install and they can charge fees for them, that could be a huge plus. In my case, Link didn't provide that to me and we didn't really have a choice of doing that. But it worked out and we got a bond. Though the descriptions or the instructions can be a little better. Aside from that, I love the system. It's pretty up-to-date and smarter.

Link Interactive was simple and easy to install. There was one minor annoying thing about the registration because we had to get something from the local police. It’s also annoying that it dings every time I open the door. There’s no way that I can adjust the volume even when it’s not armed especially when it’s early in the morning and everybody is still asleep. And I just want to go out and smoke without waking up the entire house. If they could change that, that’d be awesome.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes you can totally change the chime. Give us a call and we can take care of that for you. Glad you are enjoying your system.

I had Vivint in my old home for three years and then I just built a house and was looking into something more affordable but basically the same equipment. I started researching on the internet and I found Link Interactive. Everything’s good with the installation. I like them. It's maybe a little better than Vivint. I had a little bit of issue with the cameras but all in all installation was easy and their representatives were all great. We're in a small town but things happen in small towns as well and it's nice knowing when you're in town your house is armed in a way and you don’t have to worry about anything.

I have been using Link Interactive for about two months now and I like that they're mobile connected with the 2Gig. So far, my experience with the system's pretty good but the installation was a little tough. My husband and I are pretty IT savvy but the system wasn’t the most user-friendly and I wish I could've just called them to begin with and made them set it up for me. They say it's a DIY system but it's not very easy to set up so they have to do a better job there. Also, when I was going through the sensors that I needed to get my home outfitted, I feel like choosing which sensors to get is very subjective. I have a baby and the first guy I was working with didn’t understand how often I get up at night for a baby. He had recommended motion sensors and that didn't work. I called them back and they said he should've recommended this other thing.
So I’ve been playing with the system for the last two months on what are the best sensors set up for the house. I had to turn back in motions sensors or glass break sensors because they weren’t working with our setup. I still have one of the motion sensors that I need to send back because it's too sensitive for the dogs, but I can’t and haven’t been able to disconnect it. There was nowhere on their website or anywhere that says which is the best way to protect my house. Eventually, I got somebody who told me that majority of break-ins happen because windows and doors were left unlocked so having a sensor on those doors was the best protection. I ended up doing that but I would've probably got it on the get go versus getting a bunch of glass breaks and spending a bit more money than I probably should have on sensors.

I Googled the top security DIY systems and Link Interactive came up as number two. I was able to carry over my previous system with them. I had a LiveWatch which is almost the same as Link Interactive but Link follows through with troubleshooting the equipment unlike LiveWatch. Customer service is great as well as the technical support. Also, I like the services that they have provided compared to Frontpoint. I installed the doorbell camera and the two garage door openers. However, we had a lot of trouble on the garage doors and one of the sensors that I received malfunctioned. But we were able to get it going and it's working now.

I bought a new home but I was spending many hours away, so I got a security service from Link. There was a friend who was helping with the instructions on how to install the Link Interactive system. In a couple of hours we were able to go through everything and got it up and running. When I had issues with one sensor for the garage door, I had to call customer service a couple of times. After a few false alarms, I needed the sensor replaced with a new one. My interactions with the customer service went well. They were really quick and it was easy to deal with them.
It’s good that Link is a wireless system. I like the application and the ability to activate and deactivate the sensors. You can also add a sensor on your own and you don’t need to get a technician to come all the time. The mobile app is reliable and I like that it’s very practical. It’s a great experience to be able to check and not have any doubt regarding the alarm if it’s set or not. As soon as I moved in my new home, I immediately installed and activated it. I feel safe and confident that the system is working well. It has been a lot better since I’m old and I would recommend Link Interactive.

During installation, I read the directions, I stuck everything where it needed to go, and I turned it on. And then, I called up the company to activate it. I have two motion sensors and it tells me that I'm walking around the house. But it's been a nag and eventually, I'm going to shut that off. Other than that, everything has been good. Nobody else lives in the house and I'm never there so installing the security system is good.

Link had quite a few monitoring incentives, their price is very reasonable, and the system looked good. I got the system, put up the units, gave a call back to them, and we activated it. I liked the size of the contact because sometimes some of the companies have very large ones. For someone who knows a little about the system and the service, it was very easy to set up. I had to call about one of the motion detectors that wasn’t working properly and we fixed it over the phone. I also ordered the key attachment and the first one didn’t work. It would have worked, but the person didn’t seem to know how to give me instructions about how to use it because the second one was almost doing the same thing. When I called, I got a young lady on the line who said a different instruction and it worked.
It took a little bit of time before I got a new one. I called and they were supposed to ship one out. I waited a few days and nothing came, so when I called back, I got another rep and they didn’t recognize that they originally sent me their key. They looked again and the rep said it’s the one they sent me. It was weird, but it worked out. I feel good that we have this monitoring system going on. I wouldn’t wanna live without the system. We're in a nice area, but that’s where things happen. Overall, everything was fine and I would recommend the system.

I've been with Link Interactive for a little over a month. Their system seemed to have the most modern technical display that provided more modern day options that's combined with the best value of upfront expenses and monthly expenses. It was relatively easy to install. I was pretty confident that if most people can do it, then I can do it too. My favorite feature is the automatic cellphone shut off. When you return home, walk into the house and the system is armed, and you have your cellphone that is paired with the system, it automatically shuts the device off. I've had several questions during the course of using the product, and they've been responsive and accurate. However, there was a feature that was not as flexible as we thought it could be and that was a little disappointing, but it's understandable at this stage of the game. Overall, it's been a very positive experience.

They were friendly, quick, informative, and helpful. The installation was a very easy set-up and straightforward. However, the screws that they supplied were very weak. Then the arrows on the hardware cannot be seen so well. It would have been nice if the arrows were different colors so I could see it when I'm lining it up. Then I would also like to see the monitoring price and the prices of adding services to come down a little bit. I would love to add a camera, but I just wanted a little bit added to my monthly payments. If they were to address this cost-effectiveness then they should provide me a promotion. Overall, it's excellent and I would recommend it.

Link Interactive's price was competitive with everybody else, but it was mainly the reviews I read that sold me. I got it also mainly because of all the automation features that I can add. The installation was simple and the instructions were not too difficult, but I have had a lot of problems with the system. I can't unlock the front door from my phone because it has the Z-Wave lock, which is always offline. I called them, it got escalated and they sent me a new one but it's still doing the same thing. They wanted me to buy an extender which I shouldn’t have to because it's not my fault it's not working. They should have sent me one. I tried to install the extender on Tuesday and it wasn't making the lock any better. I was on the phone with them and they couldn’t figure it out.
I was supposed to get a callback from the manager, but I haven't received one yet. I've called every week to try to get the front door locked and it's been going on since I installed the system about a month and a half ago. Now, the motion detector is not working either. I figured the system would initially be good, but I haven’t had a good experience with it thus far. I signed a three-year contract and I'm about to figure out a way to go around it. I don’t wanna pay for something when I'm not getting all the features that I'm paying for when I have already bought a separate equipment.

Every time I called him back with more questions, he would answer them. I'm happy with that point.
The system was a self-installation. There have been a good seven times that I made a mistake and put in the wrong password and the alarm rang. But then I put the right one in and I've never gotten a phone call. It's not a bad thing but it's not a good thing either. The only thing is the camera which I wanted at the front door and which I have mounted so I could see when a package is being delivered. I thought it would have a motion detector so if somebody does come to the door, the motion will activate and trigger the recording for a minute to see the package dropped. So, it would be nice to have a motion detector, so there’s any movement at my front door, it would record, and not that was just triggered if something happened, if somebody is breaking in. I’ve had Link Interactive for three months. They have good customer service. Usually if you want something, they take care of you. They make sure they get it resolved right away. The system is also good, except for one sensor. I reached out to their customer service because there was a problem with one of the sensors in the main door. You can open it without setting the alarm off. They said we need to make sure the door is closed all the way. We’ve had alarms for 20 years, we know how to close a door and set the alarm. So I told them that I'll finish my three-year contract and move on. I can't get it to work right and it's certainly a concern if the kids come home from school and if somebody follows them in, the alarm won't go off.
I was one of the first to get the new top of the line panel. So, I told them there's got to be a glitch in it. But they don't want to accept that. They sent me a new sensor and it’s doing the same thing. I'm no electronic genius, but I would say it's the panel. I also have a problem with the sensor in the basement. But I didn't bring that up. Every once in a while, it tells me trouble. So I think it’s too far because it's in the basement, but I've had wireless in the past and had no problems.

I used to have Xfinity Home and the only difference between Link and Xfinity is the equipment. The speaker on Link's control panel is not loud. So when you open the door and the alarm is going off, if you're not actively listening for it, you might forget that it's going off 'cause it's just too low. That's one of the main issues. The second issue is the control panel I have doesn't have a separate keypad that you can get and put in another room. So I only got one screen and then I got to use my app for everything else, which is fine, but it would be nice to be able to have a keypad at the door.
I mentioned this concern to them, but they said they don't have one out right now and there's no telling if they're going to have one. Their previous model had a keypad, but for this newest model, they don't. Customer service is fine when I have an issue. This just sounds more like an equipment limitation. But Link Interactive's system is pretty much the easiest thing I've ever set up, and it works as expected. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience and please let us know if you ever have any questions or ever need anything in the future! Also we are getting a secondary keypad for your panel and it should be out by the end of the year. Thanks!

Link Interactive has good features at a pretty good price for what it is and there are two features that were part of the reason why I chose them. One is its capability to recognize when I'm home and shut off. However, when I got my first unit, I ended up getting a new unit even if the Bluetooth part worked. I got that done and they sent a new one to me. The other feature that I liked is the under-duress password option, which I think a lot of other ones do too. It's when you're under duress and you say the password, they will automatically dispatch police. However, the Bluetooth feature somewhat renders the other feature moot because if I was ever there, under duress while I was coming home, my Bluetooth would shut it off so it wouldn't ask me for a password. I also had a good experience when I called to sign up for the service.
Installing Link Interactive is a little less easy than I thought it was going to be. Some sort of sensor had an error message and I called them and they reset it. But the main issue that I had was with the equipment itself. The instructions for the control panel says to take off the back of the unit, which is not necessary, unless you're going to install it on the wall, which I wasn't going to. I then couldn't get the thing back on. When I called in to ask for support, the people were nice but I got the feeling that they didn't understand why I was having issues. I had to call three times before I got the thing back on. I could have just done it the first time without calling them if I had known that I wasn't going to break it if I used all the mics in my box. It wasn't exactly a most positive experience.

We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your system and that it is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve! Thanks for all your feedback and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever have any questions.

We had a different security service provider before, and in comparison, Link Interactive is good, so far. We went with them because the system is wireless and we didn't have to run a bunch of lines through the house. Setting it up was easy and simple. We've been with them for about a month now, although as far as billing is concerned, my wife says Link Interactive's is higher. However, so far, it's worked out pretty good.

Link Interactive's directions were good but it took me some time to set the tape switch up. It needed some more things to do on my side and I would have preferred if there was any person available to come and install it for these kinds of complex things. But the other things were okay and easy to do. Their customer service is easy to take a hold of and they give me a call back if they weren't able to pick up the phone. I've talked to a couple of people and both of them helped me in getting my equipment and getting the correct response for my questions. It's been a month and I now have peace of mind and I feel safer when I'm outside my house knowing that my house is secured.

I’ve been with Link Interactive for a month and a half now. It was easy to install and I installed it myself. It works so far because my house was broken in. They didn't catch the guy but he got to run off quickly. First I was going to go with ADT. And they came out and it's like $27.99 a month. And then they asked, "do you have a home phone line?" I said no. And then they said, “it's $52 something a month if we do this. And then if you want cameras, $58." And I'm like, "Why are you doubling the price?" And then I've got AT&T Wi-Fi at the house so I was going to go with AT&T plus. But I was leaving out of town for a job and they couldn't do the install until after I was already on the road.
So I went online, I saw Link Interactive, I ordered the equipment and I just saw how easy it was. And I actually got a brother that does the installation up here in New England, and he said that it all depends on how many places are monitored. When they do the computer upgrades, they're not shutting down my monitoring that time. So I asked Link Interactive if it keeps 24/7 monitoring and they do. They got multiple monitoring sensors so it's all good. I'm satisfied with it and I'm going to upgrade it a little bit. And I've already told people about Link Interactive.

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience with us. I am sorry to hear you were broken into. We appreciate your recommendations and will work hard to earn your business everyday. Thanks!

Link Interactive was able to give us the biggest discount. And when I averaged out or combined all those costs upfront, they were able to provide what we needed for the lowest cost. The sales department was really nice. They worked with us and were really helpful and very personable. Also, they weren’t pushy or didn’t follow up excessively. I was comparing them to a lot of other companies at the time and they definitely stood out as being not obnoxious to deal with.
The installation was technically fine. We have most of it working but we didn’t need some of the things they sent us or didn’t work with our house. We ended up sending them back and they were able to refund us. Also, their website wasn’t helpful in any way. It's pretty much what’s included in the box and it doesn’t have any additional information. So, you have to call but their phone support is somewhat lacking and the instruction that they include could be clearer. It wasn’t the most delightful experience but we got it done. I set up my alarm about once a week and it’s easy to manage. I don’t have a whole lot of faith in the magical powers of a security system, but it’s a thing that we could do, so we’re doing it. Also, we feel somewhat more secure with the system. It's effective and relatively simple.

Installing the system was simple, however, I ran into one little issue. I called for help and they gave me pretty decent advice but I was also able to solve it on my own. My only complaint was they don’t tell you that you have a limit on how much video storage it has. Except for that, the system is what I expected.

My wife and my mother-in-law had Link Interactive at a previous residence in Illinois, for about five years. However, we sent back our Link Interactive and didn't even use it. I wish they had an installer in my area. I wasn't a fan of the directions that they gave as they weren't very informative to me and I was not pleased. For one thing, I feel they should give you more of those little adhesive stickers that you put on the back of the sensors because once you put that on the wrong way, you're just out of supplies. I got frustrated, put everything away, and sent it back. Then I got Vivint, a system that provided an installer and wasn't DIY.

We are sorry to see you go. We wish the circumstances were different. We appreciate that feedback and will take that into account. Wish you all the best.

I've had Link Interactive for a month now and the installation was great. The customer service representatives walked me through what I was supposed to do. The person from Link customer service was awesome. I talked to him and he walked me through everything. I talked to someone else on the phone for installation and it took a while for everything to be connected because I had a different provider before. So, there were code issues because I still had equipment that I got from that provider. We were trying to switch the other thing over. But we’ve finished doing that. I’ve been them for two months and everything’s fine.
But one time, I forgot that I set the system for the stay option. And then I opened the door, so the alarm went off. At that time, it was just a false alarm. But nobody called me from Link Interactive to ask me if everything’s okay or to say they saw the alarm was triggered. That was weird. I don’t know if they have a number of rings that it’s supposed to go off for or if I put a code, then they don’t call me. But hopefully, when an intruder is in my house, somebody will call me.

When I acquired another property, I decided to go with the Link Interactive system and get some experience with that. Ever since then I converted my main residence from ADT over to Link. It was really simple for me to figure out what was going on and program it because I already have quite a bit of technical knowledge and experience having worked in a number of technical fields. Upon deciding on what security provider to use, I made sure there were positive experiences about the service as well as reliability of the product. Then I narrowed it down to two or three options and all of which seemed fairly comparable and a part of it then came down to price. I went with Link Interactive and I've been with them for about four to six weeks now. I've had no issue with them so far and my experience has been positive. There's a bit of a learning curve with adjusting to using it and understanding it fully. I had an alarm before but not kind of being able to control through apps and more flexible user settings.
The installation took a couple of hours. I had quite a few sensors on the door and the windows. I want to take the time to make sure I did it right and then the subsequent ones were pretty quick. Also, I was able to go online and find videos. There is one kind of more logistical question I had which I called Link Interactive for and they were incredibly helpful. However, they could improve little more on the installation directions. Again, nothing is too complicated but the more communication and more dummy-proofing that they can do the easier it makes it.

Thank you for your feedback. We will work hard to make the setup process better. Thanks for being a valued customer!

A girl at work referred Link Interactive to me. I also read online and compared stuff. Link Interactive's was one of the best systems. It's self-configurable and movable as it’s not something that’s hardwired to the house. Installing it was easy to do because there were videos and an instruction manual. The customer service was also good and pretty to the point. Then I also had a couple of email exchanges with them and wanted to order an extra equipment. It was fast how they explained to me how to do it.
I've had the system for two months now and it's been good so far. Beyond a certain time when I usually enable the system, like at 9 o’clock at night, if anything is left open like a window, I get notification. So, that’s cool. I also like that I’m aware of whether the garage door is closed or not. In the morning if I leave, I always used to wonder whether I closed it. Now, I can check the app thru my phone and that says it’s closed so it’s much easier. I’ll recommend Link Interactive.

A few years ago I was Googling smart house technology and I found Link Interactive. I'm an electrician so it was easier for me to install the system. I like to do-it-yourself in a neat way and still get all the bells and whistles of a high-end sensor system. I've had them since 2012 and it makes me feel more secure and safe, especially for my wife. The full smart system gives me a peace of mind where I can watch the house through cameras and monitor the thermostat and without being there. It’s like I’m there but I'm not.
I’ve had a couple of service issues over the past few years and their representatives were very good at handling them. They even renegotiated the cost price for my second house and now I have a second house under their watch. One time, we had a couple of devices that were malfunctioning and because it’s our out of state house, I had no access to the actual programming. So I called them up and they were able to get into my system and disable some devices that were causing false alarms. They were courteous and quick in resolving my issue. The actual equipment Link Interactive had was the one I was specifically looking for so it’s that IQ panel that I knew when I came out. I already had a lot at the start and before I installed the security system, I tried doing my whole system there for myself through the phones. Some of the recessed sensors that we had originally were the same size holes so I didn’t do any drilling. I did all that previously so I pushed the new ones in and tagged up the additional ones that we got.
The reason why I went to Link Interactive is that we have babysitters and cleaners. The ease of use was a big thing so that day-to-day stuff with them has been seamless. And for us, it’s more about the comfort because I travel for my job and my wife’s at home and it's easy to see from my phone. The rates were good, too, from the monitoring standpoint.
The sales was easy. When I needed a feature enabled for my thermostat to be connected to the account, the reps were good and they enabled some other features, too. I also did a follow-up with them because we had the monitoring out there and one of the kids accidentally tripped it. I needed to see if that’s enabled or what was missing during that scenario. We never got a phone call but they said I would have gotten a phone call from the responder. Overall, our experience with Link Interactive has been easy and straightforward. They’ve also been responsive and I even got a couple of e-mails about something that they noticed out of check so it gives me a reason to think that they are watching the system from their end as well and not just the responding service that they use.

Lacey, the rep from Link who worked with me to buy the security system, was very patient enough to work out several different types of bills and different scenarios for me. She also had the patience for me to call back. It took a while to make my mind up and she dealt with every bit of that with the utmost in customer service. Link also gave me a better deal for the monthly monitoring so I went with them. The installation was very simple and it didn't take very long. Also, their customer service is great. I had a back door sensor that wasn’t working properly and they helped me out with that.
We had a little incident that came up before getting the system installed and Link's security system has given me peace of mind. On the other hand, I didn’t want to commit to something where I’m paying $50 a month for that long, not knowing what my experience is going to be. $30 is right if that’s worth the convenience and you don’t really think too much about it. I've had the Link Interactive installed for my wife and we've had it for a month now. We went with them because of a combo of cost versus services. However, the installation was a lot harder than what I anticipated. It took a while setting up the control panel but whenever I called them, they were helpful for the most part. Even if they don't always have the answer, they still try. The panel that I got was brand-new and may have been released prematurely before thoroughly testing out all the bugs and issues. I asked them if they have a manual for it that I could look at, but they didn't have one out yet and even the techs weren't totally familiar with it. But it's a nice panel and I really like it. I got it all set up now with my preferences and everything seems to be working. Though there were two issues with the panels, they think that would get resolved and they're having another firmware update coming out soon.

I was looking for a home monitoring system for my 74 years old elderly father and Link Interactive seemed to meet all my needs so I thought of going with them. They had a promotion going on, too. It was a piece of cake installing the system but I had one minor issue. I was able to get a hold of somebody and they couldn't solve the problem but they said they'd call me back in 15 minutes. They called me back and figured out the problem. Then I requested that they shut off all the alarms because the alarm went off when there was a storm warning which is common in the area. My dad doesn't need to know when there's a storm because he watches TV all day. He knows when there's a storm coming and what the weather's doing.
The system has been installed for three months and since having it, I've been able to prevent my dad from driving at 8:00 at night when he thinks it's 8:00 in the morning so it's doing what it's supposed to do. I have cameras in this home attached to motion detectors. I know he goes to bed at 7:00 so if I see him get out and leave his bedroom at 8:00, I can take a picture of his living room chair and I can tell based on his state of dress whether he's headed out for the morning/evening or he's just out having a cigarette. So far I've been happy with the system. The whole Link Interactive team has been helpful too and they're very responsive to any request that I have. The experience with Link was what as expected.

It was just a cut-and-paste kind of deal. I just followed the instructions and everything work well.
I’ve talked to the team at Link Interactive a couple of times. I was trying to understand the operational process of how to set certain parameters, how to do timing, ins, and outs, and what to expect operationally. We went over a lot of those kinds of operational things I've read in the book but I needed verbal verification and they helped me, from their end, set up some of the programming that I needed set up. Another reason we were gonna use Link Interactive is because they had the garage door automatic opener from the phone. However, I remember telling the person on the phone that I had an old garage door unit, but they sent me the universal one anyways. All the devices of Link Interactive were easy to install and learn except the motion sensor because you have to make sure whether it's having the proper angle and it's able to cover that much area that you intend to. So all that was cumbersome for me. It took like two days for me just to set it up properly. But the rest of the installation was easy.
But I wish the user interface, which allow me to add or remove devices, was more intuitive. Because although I belong to an IT background it's complicated for me. And if supposedly, I give the device to my wife and ask her to set it up by herself, she can't do it. I have 2G interface and on that interface you have to press the key buttons left, right, up, down, and all that so it's tricky. Even I made some mistakes all that while I was using that. So, only two feedback the user interface and motion detector. Other than that, everything was good.
So far the system is giving me peace of mind and it works as expected whenever I test it, so far. I know they are working, detecting, and everything is good. But I wish someone from Link Interactive would have called me and said, "Let's set up some time on our calendar and let's do a dry-run test and make sure everything is working well. I wanted to lock the system and enter the house, and I wanted not to enter the password. I wanted to see whether Link Interactive calls me and verifies with me whether I am the person who entered the house. That is the only piece pending to gain my 100% confidence. Right now, I feel 95% confidence. Once they sold it to me, no one's setting it up with me. No one calls. No one checks on what is happening.

With Link Interactive, I'm able to customize what I want and set it up on my own. The installation was very easy and anything I struggled with, I reach out to the customer service and they walk me through it. It was almost good with their reps. Most of them are knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions. But I worry a little bit more after recent events. I have one of the Alarm.com products and monitors my smoke detectors and listens for any of them to go off. I was about an hour and a half away from the house, I got an alert on my phone saying there was a fire in a certain area of the house where this monitor happens to be.
I was contacted by Link, I explained that I was an hour and a half away for a long weekend and all the doors are locked. I don't have a key outside of the house. While we were on the phone, they informed me that the fire department has been dispatched. In their discussions with the fire department, they requested that a key holder be present. Then I got a call from the Link representative stating that the fire department made access to my home. I didn't understand that and I was told that if a key holder isn't present, they'll do what they have to get into the house, whether it's breaking down the door or climbing through a window. Now, I have to worry about a door that's been kicked through. Fortunately, he provided that detail because I asked if that is how they got in or was there a window. They called them back and he got back to me again.
The rep called back and stated they found a window on the third level that was unlocked. They were able to listen and smell and they couldn't find any smoke so they vacated the scene. But it could have gotten a lot worse and I could have had a door hanging open. I wasn't really pleased with how the rep handled the situation and once I got back from the trip, none of the smoke alarms were low on battery. There is no reason for why the system tripped. I have videos on cameras facing outside of my house and I'm watching the fire department climb all over the outside. If you ever go through that, potentially watching your house burn down is not the situation to be in.
I called back to kind of figure out if it was a defective product and if there's anything they can do. I don't want this event to happen again, I don't want my doors to be broken in for a false alarm and I don't want our entire street to have to be shut down because of the fire department responding. It's close to the city so they shut down an entire street and bring all their equipment on site. Not to mention, disturbing all the neighbors for something that happened that no one understands. I didn't get anywhere, so I don't really know why it went off. Now, I have to worry about if it happens in the future, me not being in close proximity and who knows what I'm going to be billed from the fire department. But it does what it's supposed to do most of the time. They do what they can for you but it's Alarm.com that owns their security products. They can't really provide the support that I need in my situation.

Thank you for sharing you experience with us. We are sorry that you had a false alarm and you are feeling uneasy about how the equipment will respond. We are here to give you peace of mind. We will have someone reach out and we will get this resolved immediately. Thank you for your patience and sharing your story.

I've been with Link Interactive for a couple of months now. It was more advanced than the other providers that I was looking at and it had really good reviews. Installing the system was pretty easy and it took about an hour. The instructions were okay. I've been pretty satisfied with the features too. The only thing was that I purchased Link because it seemed more advanced than the other systems. However, I can't figure out how to operate some of the features I was really looking forward to.
I contacted them regarding the Bluetooth thing, how it hooks up and everything. It was a little bit confusing to operate and I wasn’t quite satisfied with the way it was working, so I ended up disconnecting it. Intuitively, you would go to the general settings which I did and when I would go into the Bluetooth area, it kept giving me a signal saying I didn't have the Bluetooth enabled on their system. It turned out that there was a code that I didn’t know about that I had to enter in order to enable the Bluetooth and that was with the email I had. It included the steps on how to activate the Bluetooth. I didn’t know you have to have a separate code. I wish there was kind of a user manual, which I didn’t receive. Also, when I was trying to set up the Bluetooth with the system, I was told on one of my phone calls that they would send me the link but they didn’t, so I had to call back and ask for it again. Overall, Link has some interesting features, but it's hard to personalize.

Thank you for this feedback. We need to do a better job on how to ensure the Bluetooth functionality works like it should. Thanks for being a customer!

My friend suggested Link Interactive and I picked it up. It was one of the cheaper security providers and I also heard that the customer service is good although I haven’t used it yet. The device was an easy installation and I did most of the set-up, but I had to call customer service to link it with the command center. They integrated it and turned on my account. I got my answers and I find it convenient. It’s good so far and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

I needed an alarm for our insurance. I run a phone shop so, I have a lot of used phones and electronics. I went online, found another company, they’re number 1, but they were kind of expensive. And I found Link Interactive, number 2 on some list. I called them and the price was good so I went with them. I’ve been using their since March. It works well. I like the fact that we can do individual codes. So now, I know if somebody comes in, I know who it is. And the alarm.com thing is nice, too, being able to arm it from that. So, I’m very pleased. Whenever I call and have an issue, the customer service is perfect. But the installation was a little more difficult than advertised. I had to pay a guy to install it. But besides that, I’m happy. It’s an all-around good company. I’d suggest them to somebody else who needed an alarm system.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I was looking for a smart alarm system that I could install myself and found Link Interactive. Setting up my Link Interactive system was fairly simple. All the sensors came preloaded. So, once I identified which sensor went in which door, I mounted it. I've been using Link Interactive for about two months now and the difference between Link and my previous security provider is like night and day. While my previous provider was from a number of years ago and it's hard to compare, my experience with Link Interactive has been good and they have been responsive when I text them service tickets.
Recently, I was having issues with my cellular connection so they sent me another box which was wired for AT&T so I will have to see if that will work out. Nevertheless, my interactions with them have been positive. Since having the system, I've been looking forward to mastering the use of geo services wherein if I'm within a particular vicinity of my house, the service turns the lights on. And so, I ordered some smart bulbs. And the feature I like best is that I can arm and disarm my system from my smartphone. I can see activity in my house as well. Everyone who has come to my house has been impressed with the features that I use. I highly recommend Link Interactive to someone who wants a smart house.

Link Interactive was the only one that was full DIY from the state of Oregon because the ones that are technically DIY will still send a tech out and I don't want anybody else to come here. I installed it on my own and the instructions were really user-friendly. Even down to renaming the sensors and the device itself, so that I knew where they were, has been super easy. Also, I didn't have to pay for a tech dispatch to have it installed. I had home automation with my previous provider and I really enjoy being able to change my thermostat, turn on and off lights and stuff like that. The only thing I lost is the ability to ignore my door sensor that's in the middle of my house and I can't turn that one sensor off. I haven't had time to call support to find out if it's possible. But the two reps that I've dealt with, so far, have been very knowledgeable and professional.

Great! We're glad to hear that your self setup went so smoothly. Give us a call and we can help out with that sensor.

I liked the customer support interaction I got from Link Interactive during the sales process and the price was good. I also liked the features. Basic protection and mobile support were the biggest features for us, just making sure we felt secure and then the ability to support the system through a mobile interface on a smartphone. It was easy installing the system. It was all peel and stick and the instructions were straightforward so we all set it up in a span of two hours. When I had a question around some kind behavior around one of the setup instructions, the reps were able to answer my question in about 10 minutes and they resolved my issue.
We have been using the system for close to six months now. So far, the functionality has been great. The system is up every night, throughout the day and during a vacation. We're definitely more secure having a system enabled. There's definitely peace of mind which is good not just at night when the kids are in bed but also on our vacation. I was able to get notifications and we're thinking about adding internal cameras in the future. We can do that easily. The experience has been very positive. They have been were easy to talk to at Link and they've been very straightforward with what we were getting and also through the experience post sale.

We just had one issue with them about sensors however, they’re quick to resolve it and gave me some troubleshooting ideas for it. They’ve also been helpful, friendly, supportive and expedient with answers and calling me back. The pricing, the customer service, the packaging and the deal were the reasons I went with Link Interactive and they've far exceeded the other company, ADT. I went to Link Interactive since I have good trust in Costco. I got the door sensors and window sensors for security although I have some other backup systems as well. The installation process took about a couple of hours since I had to dismantle and call for help and the rep was very helpful. I’ve been with Link since 2014 and it's not bad, but sometimes the motion detector has not been detecting the motion. I did some testing by myself and it started working a little bit, so I thought it was working, but several times I saw somebody walked by but nothing was triggered. I've had this issue just recently.
Three months back, it was not detecting any sensors. Link support asked me to open the console unit and unplug certain things and then I was made to put things back. That’s what I did and the system started detecting the sensor at that time. But then I saw this issue with the motion sensor. Seeing this issue, I am not comfortable and happy about it because the system is a couple of years old unit. I'd like to have this technical issue resolved. Also, with Link's price, I wonder what else can we get because in the market right now it seems like there are more features and more devices mostly on a personal level that you can go with for the price.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Wanted to let you know that the motion detector times out for a few minutes to conserve battery. So if it has already detected motion it won't detect motion again until the resting period is over. We appreciate your feedback!

I've had Link Interactive for four years now. They were the cheapest option that had online automation and they were also hooked in with Alarm.com. The first time I did the installation, the instructions were detailed and labeled as to which sensors went where. It was an easy process. I just replaced my panels so I had quite a bit of an interaction with Link recently trying to get all my sensors converted over to the newest panel. However, I had one little issue with the device I had and I didn’t particularly get that resolved. I ended up having to resolve that on my own by buying a repeater that I didn’t necessarily know I was gonna need to have. Other than that, with Link, it was much nicer to be able to lock or arm my house from my phone when we forget and to know whether anybody’s been in the house by the time we get back home. Overall, it was a pretty reasonable way to get a security system.

It's not Link's problem or fault, but I have a front and back door so I needed two cameras and a digital door chime, which I didn't know there was a compatibility factor. After purchasing everything, I had an electrician in my house at least four times trying to figure out the install and it's still not 100% right. Link has been helpful, but when I needed them I have been calling them on a Sunday because of my schedule but they are not open on Sundays. I get more notifications since installing the security system. It's great and my wife likes it. If I moved and I had to do it again, I would use Link Interactive again. They've been fair and straightforward.

Link Interactive was the second highest rated alarm system when I did an internet search, but the combination of their monthly charges and what I was getting in return for that was my deciding factor to use them for my home. Setting it up, initially connecting it and getting the system up and running was easy, but then I started having problems where sensors were misconfigured. So what was happening is it was thinking that the door sensor was the motion sensor and it was not even working and I figured a couple of those things out slowly as I used it for over a period of three weeks. It took some tuning, but we did get it set up. So it wasn’t a one shot easy set up because there were some misconfigurations on the way, but all in all, it wasn’t too difficult to set it up. But all the programming that the device came with initially when it was shipped to me, I had to do it again myself.
Now, to do that somebody was helping me on the phone, but it took a while to do it again. I would tell them that the front door sensor is not working and they would check in the system that the front door system sensor was not listed as a contact sensor, so they had to reprogram it and then they found that there is some number in each of the sensors and that each of those numbers were all messed up like what was listed as the front door sensor had a different number than the actual sensor. So I had to go to the sensor and then connect it back to the panel. They asked me to open up the device and sometimes the alarm went off and so I had to remove all the sensors and add it back again myself.
I'm not very happy with permits because I needed to have one. Though Link Interactive gave me a lot of time to get that taken care of, I signed up for it in January and heard about it on 17th of May. Also, there’s some information that I didn’t get from them. I was told I was supposed to mail this through USPN to the city and I just talked to the city and they said, “Why don’t you sign up online?” Which was easier for me. They have great customer experience, but they're a new company so they have some things to figure out if they want to reach the point where their competitors are like Frontpoint or if you look at the old ones like ADT or Brink. I also like the tech support, but apart from that, they are still developing from a process standpoint.

We are so sorry to hear about the issues you had in getting your sensors programmed correctly. This is certainly not the normal for us here. We appreciate this feedback and the fact that permits can be done online in your jurisdiction. We will update our records to reflect this. Thanks for being a valued customer. My Link Interactive system was pretty easy install. I get on the phone and I can program it. If I am out of town and someone needs to come into my house, they can use the last four digits of their phone number to get in. That’s really nice programming. The customer service team was also excellent. I had an issue with the garage door and though it took several times for them to get that right, they got it right. They didn’t argue though it was already past my contract. They also kept the price reasonable and they're cheaper than anybody else. I'm paying $29 for peace of mind. The system lets me know who comes in and out of the house and that’s great. It also lets me know that it's armed whenever I'm at work or school so that’s a real plus.
However, I tried to use their camera system, but they never had it right. I would like a good camera system and though they had a better quality camera system, their technology to me wasn’t quite there. And when my alarm goes off, I want a bell outside for the whole neighborhood to hear if somebody breaks into the house, but they don't have that yet. Those are the only two things I would ask for them to improve. Nonetheless, Link Interactive is an excellent company and I would recommend them.

The customer service rep was great too. They set up the system pretty easy for me to have the various sensors. Setting up was quirky because I used Angie’s List to make the order, so when we had to add the extra sensors it was a little confusing, but the representative I worked with was really good. There were a few minor mistakes as I read to him where the sensors went, but he was great and it was resolved once I made this report. The whole experience has been good compared to the provider I used previously. Also, Link Interactive been really good when I called for questions and in an effort to set the system up, they certainly knew what needs to happen. Link Interactive was the first ones to call back when I sent in quotes to three people. The home security that was installed was easy but the business one was a disaster. I wasn’t very happy with that whole situation. They signed me up with the newest panel that was available. And the company knew that there were problems. It was a prototype and it did not work. So they finally sent us the 2G panel back and everything’s been working. But I still have issues. They didn’t delete some of the old stuff. And an old piece is still trying to connect with it.
Everybody in the team was friendly but one of the guys I talked to seemed to mess things up quite a bit worse than what they could have been. I’m a busy person and installing and uninstalling a system twice is not an easy thing to do when you’re running a business so I hated the first system and that whole catastrophe. However, the instructions are tricky. I've had quite a few calls to customer support. The company themselves and tech support people have been great. Things have eventually always get resolved but it sometimes has taken a few steps and tries. I've had to return a couple products and get exchanges. So being a bit of a techie guy and somebody who likes to tinker with things, I'm patient with that. But it has not been plug and play and forget about it.
The smartphone feature is good. I like being able to see the status but sometimes there is information not being updated right away. There are some communication issues between the different devices, panel, system and app. It can be a little disconcerting sometimes but usually, if you refresh the app and wait a few minutes then the information will update although it's not 100% perfect. Overall, I think it's going to work out eventually. I enjoy the system and like the features. It just needs tweaking.

I did an online search and I liked Link Interactive's combination of pricing and technology. Some of the things were quite easy for installation but I had some difficulties with some of the components. I had to get a couple of different ones for the SkyBell Doorbell since the first one was defective and I had some problems with the range from that to my router. All in all, installation was more difficult than I anticipated but I was able to get past all of those and work around everything. Sometimes it took a little longer than I would have liked but we were able to get around those problems with the assistance of the very courteous and generally helpful Link Interactive team. Overall, Link Interactive has a good system.

I’ve used Link Interactive for two years in my home and in the office. When you call the reps for a request, they respond well and they’re helpful. But the security system in the office didn’t work. It took a long time to figure it out. We were trying to configure based on existing wiring and it was faulty. We ended up going wireless. After we went wireless, it worked just fine. But the cameras are terrible and they kept on failing. We replaced them twice. They said they’re outdoor cameras, but they’re not. We moved our office and I called them to continue the security service but not the cameras at our office. We discontinued the cameras in our house too. They couldn’t do what we wanted. The cameras weren’t good enough so we chose not to do it. But we have them for security and it works very well. They’re linked to the police and that’s what we like.

I have Link Interactive for my business and in my home. I had them through SafeTouch for six years. SafeTouch tends to grab the cheapest equipment out of all at alarm.com and it does not serve my purpose. They're very limited to the add-ons. They might be too big in our area for their own good to provide the one-on-one service that I would like for my company. Equipment-wise, I get to customize what I want on my stores based on what my needs are. However, they can’t customize it based on what I want. For them, it was “This is what we got. Take it or leave it”. With technology changing all the time, it's always great to make sure that you're able to change those things based on how technology changes. We installed the Link Interactive Security System. It was very simple and good also. We made an error because we connected the wrong panels at the wrong stores but they just needed to be redone.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

We’ve had a security system at our home for decades and we’ve always felt secure. And all we’ve done is step up into the 21st century when we went with Link Interactive. They're competitive than most companies in monitoring cost and more competitive in equipment cost. The smartphone app, which I’m very pleased with, is excellent but I also love the control pad that I got. I was provided instructions along with a couple of customer support calls which made the installation process easy. I had to call in on three occasions during the initial and post-installation stages and the person I spoke to knew what I was dealing with as well as can be. He didn’t require much of a dance to figure out an answer to my question and was also very pleasant so it was an excellent experience. Overall, Link meets my every expectation.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying your system and loving that smartphone app! Thanks for being a great customer.

With Link Interactive, I could get out of a bigger contract and I could take care of it myself. We like the price that they have and it was easy working with them. It was quick and the installation was fairly easy. We use the Alarm.com app and it's fairly simple and convenient. I had a few calls with the tech support, where I needed a bit of assistance just because of the layout of the property and they took care of it very easily.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly! Please let us know if you ever need anything.

We're snowbirds and the security system is there just to protect the house while we're gone. The reviews in terms of service tipped me over to Link Interactive. Installing it had been pretty easy. Most everything was already there. I just needed to get the Go! panel tucked into the sensors that were already there. I called them for that and I didn't have any negatives with those folks. They were very helpful. I've been using them for two months now and I'm a happy camper.
