We haven’t had a security in our house for probably 10 years. The original one broke a decade ago and we haven’t thought much about it. Times have changed. We have more acquisitions in our home that we thought that we were being foolish not having a system in place. So, I surfed the web and found Link Interactive online. I did the, “Tell me about different kinds of home security systems” and then read about it, and it looked like the best thing for our needs. I also asked some neighbors who they used. Once I put that I had some interest and questions, I got a call from a lovely woman, very shortly thereafter and she spent quite a bit of time answering my questions. Nothing felt like hard sell or pressure. I had some time to think about it, go back and read some more of the online educational information and sat down, talk with my husband about it, and we said, “Let’s pursue this.” I thought the help we got was great from the staff.
The system met our needs. We were nervous about some of the ability to customize it, but it seems to be just fine and we’re happy with it. We also did minimal customization, so that if the housekeeper is coming in and we’re not around, we want the housekeeper to be able to disarm and arm. And we’re feeling pretty confident that if we’re not sure, they offer enough tech support where we can get the assistance we need.
Their equipment quality is also pretty good. Every house must be different. We had a common security box that has fallen off couple of times on the front door triggering a message to us that someone disarmed our house or there’s been a break in the system. And I don’t know if it’s a glue or what it is that sticks it up there, but it seems to be working fine now. And then one configuration was not an option that was shown on the example based on one of our window frames, but we were able to figure out a way to put it on. It's also easy to use the smartphone features.
When we shopped around, the cost looked like it was competitive. We liked the feature that, should we move, we can take the equipment with us. That sounded very good. Also, I’m just having a little signage out in front of a house and something in the windows, and it's a detriment and I feel really good about that. I’m more aware now of how many of my neighbors have that. I’m pleased that we made this decision.

We have a new house and I wanted something to protect it. Something that's DIY and affordable. I've used others in the past that I was extremely displeased with, and it's a night and day difference. I can configure everything on this. With the other systems, I would always have to schedule a service call to get them to configure something. Or I'll have to call them to get them to change something and they would have to remote into the console.
I love all Link's features. I'd love to see more equipment and different, more competitive brands of cameras, but I think that's an Alarm.com limitation. I really liked that Alarm.com is the back end infrastructures they're using for the system. I just wished Alarm.com would implement more cameras into the system and other types of equipment as well. But I think Link is up to a very good level and they're appropriate for what you get.
We moved in at the same time we put it in. So, I now feel very secure having Link and I'm very comfortable. My wife works alone a lot and she's very happy. So, happy wife, happy life. I would strongly encourage my friends to use Link's service. They're very helpful and are very willing to work with you and recommend some good options. And to me, they're a lot more affordable and flexible than some of the older, traditional technology companies out there. And when you look at all the expenses, they'll tie you to a contract and they're too expensive for the quality of the hardware they provide.

Link's sales reps have been good to work with. They've been friendly and it was an easy, non-pressure experience. I liked that with Link, I had the ability to do it myself and the upgradability without having to pay extra once you decide to do that. I installed it myself and I didn't need to call them. It's easy as long as you're slightly handy. I need to call them because one of the sensors is faulty, but so far, my experience has been good.

Compared to other similar companies, the cost of the monitoring and the offering that Link included was very competitive. A couple of years prior, we used the same home security system, but a different monitoring company. Price wise, Link was about $5 or $10 a month cheaper. At first, I had to figure out my existing equipment and whether it would be compatible with their service. Their reps were knowledgeable and were able to identify that I needed to do some upgrades to my cellular service. I had a 2G antenna before and they said I need a 3G. They were able to send me out that new cellular board package at a more reasonable rate than others. They were technically very sound and they have good communication. They were very helpful, very customer service oriented and polite.
Installation was seamless. I had good instructions. I basically swapped out the boards by myself. Everything turned on and worked as it should. I'm getting a good product for a fair price. It's definitely nice to have that warning. When we're out of town or away from the house, to have the fire alarm protection is also really nice. Their representatives I worked with sealed the deal for them. And when a friend asks about Link, I'd tell them that it's a good product and that they should be taken care of.

I got Link Interactive to feel safer. I decided to get their service from speaking with their representatives, wording about their different features. And I felt for the price that it exceeded the other companies that I spoke with. I just talked to somebody from Link Interactive and she went through a lot of the features in the main panel and just how the system works. With all the salespeople I've dealt with I liked what they had to offer.
My husband did the installation and there was minimal cursing so it went easy. We didn't set up two of the features yet so the system reminds us that all the time and it was kind of annoying. There was probably a way to disable that but we haven't looked into it. But other than that they're friendly. It's a great system. I like the fact that it lets you know which doors are open. I feel better with the kids because if they try to open a door it tells me. And then I like that it just doesn't beep so I have to go figure out which door they're trying to get out off. It's my favorite feature. We're very happy with Link Interactive.

I had Vivint before and although they're ahead with their technology and a lot faster with their two-way when calling, Link Interactive's customer service was really good and they're $5 cheaper. But they could still go a bit cheaper because I'm paying $57 but should be somewhere $45 a month. I had to do all the installations myself and had to do a contract with them. But I feel protected with them and I'm pretty happy with them. I would tell my friends to get Link Interactive but they just got to weigh other options between Vivint and them.

I searched for the top alarm security system, and Link Interactive was number two and had a decent price. Their sales rep was pretty straightforward. They offered me couple of months off and offered me some discounts, and some into hardware. Doing the calculation, they worked out really best. The installation was simple and it took me half an hour. I got the package which allows me to do things through my smartphone and remotely. It would have been good if they included the carbon monoxide detector as well. Moreover, the cost is a little higher, but it’s lower than all the other providers so that’s fine. It could have been a little bit lower like Comcast though.
The quality of the system is okay. I only use the app and it's pretty good. I use it to arm, and disarm. The actual main panel is a little bit difficult to use and not very intuitive. For instance, the system is armed and if you wanted to wait 30 seconds when somebody opens the door before triggering the alarm that was difficult to do in the system that will go to like bunch of menus. It wasn’t really directly labeled and was kind of ambiguous. So, I have to call the customer service and have them do it for me. One time my sensor stops working and their customer service reps were able to fix it. Since having Link Interactive's system, we feel a little bit secure that we know that the house has an alarm and if anything happens, it will trigger the alarm.

My experience with Link interactive so far has been good. However, when I leave my three-floor house through the garage, I don't have anything to set the alarm off and on. If I don't have my telephone, I have to rush up upstairs to turn the alarm off. I wish they have two units to make life easy. One for up here and one for downstairs. I had Honeywell before and it wasn't wireless. Link Interactive is better because I can turn the alarm off and on from my telephone and do it anywhere. Their team has been great, they respond very fast. On the other hand, the installation was very good. I've had the system for a month and a half now and I like everything about it. Link Interactive's cost is good and they don't charge anything upfront. It's great to have an alarm and I like that it's wireless.

I work nightshifts and for my wife and kids being home at night, it’s nice to have a system that has an alarm and cameras that see what’s going on. I wanted a security system for peace of mind. And also, we purchased a new home and getting a system would lower the cost of our home insurance. I like the idea of me installing it myself and being able to kind of customize it. Link Interactive has self-install alarm systems. I did a lot of research on different self-install systems and I watched YouTube videos, and they were my final choice. I contacted Link six months before I made my purchase. And the customer service representative gave me a quote and she followed up with me occasionally to see if I needed any help or had questions. We waited until we got settled into our new home for a few months, and then I contacted her back. She was great, really helpful, and not pushy.
The whole installation process was really easy except for one little snag. Our brand-new home has a brand-new 2017 garage door opener. The garage door manufacturer wants you to use whatever product they have for being able to open up and close your garage door from their app on their phone. And it wouldn’t allow me to link the equipment that was hooked to me from Link Interactive to my system. So, I just held back the piece. But Link was helpful and gave me free shipping, so I was able to return it and I got my money back for the piece that won’t work for the garage door. Other than that, everything else works really well.
I like the features offered in our system. They’re really good. We got a normal alarm system, door sensors, motion sensors, and then we have a camera on the front of our house which keeps an eye on our vehicles that are parked outside. And then we have a doorbell camera and like a talkback button so it’s kind of convenient. We don’t have to go to the door, and we could talk to whoever is there, and it notifies us when anybody comes to the door. We purchase a lot of stuff online. So, as soon as something is delivered, we know it’s there at the front door which is convenient.
The equipment's quality is good. I had to reset the camera to be able to record on our doorbell once so far, but it might have been because of my Wi-Fi and not the equipment itself. It’s kind of far away from my router. We use the smartphone features more than anything. We arm our alarm system when we go to bed usually just from our cell phones so we don’t even have to use the touchscreen panel which is downstairs. When we are away from the house and the systems are armed and when we arrive home, as we were pulling up, we just get on our phone and disarm it, so we don’t have to try to rush in really quick to disarm, we don’t need to have to sweat it, we just turn it off from our phone.
With Link, I got the most bang for my bucks, so it was a good value compared to other companies that would have installed their system for me. It was less expensive, but I got all the same features. A family friend of ours who was down the street from us hired a company that installed everything but they’re paying more monthly that I am, and we have the same features. If people are tech-savvy and able to link things to Wi-Fi routers, Link is the best option on the equipment and to save money, too. And there are a lot of options for future upgrades which we probably will do in the future. So, I definitely recommend them.

The Link Interactive rep was very helpful and hardworking to help me out and kept following up and the sales guy inspired me to go forward his company. Also, Link was very professional and good. We got a good deal from the salesperson months ago for 93 days and sent all the equipment. But the challenge was getting the things hooked up because they didn't send out a technician to set it up. There was some guy on the phone that helped us set it up. He was syncing them to the Link control panel that we plugged in. Everything was going good until we got to the motion detector. He told us to try to take it off the wall and it’s not syncing. And when we did, we poked the hole through it and broke it but they were nice to send a brand new one.
I needed to get back there to get in touch with them to sync the new one in. But I've been working pretty much out of town for a long time so the machine’s there. One of the challenges is when I called a technician. I don't remember the password so he couldn't help me. We are going out of town with no alarm system set up and then the office was closed so I got to get back there and talk to the Link people themselves to get this final part programmed and tell us how to change low battery setting and we should be good. Right now, we have a piece of equipment that's not being used. Link Interactive doesn't send a technician out. That's the thing is most homeowners look for-- we invest in the products and services. It would be nice to have a roaming service technician for a one-time $50 fee to come on out and set up.

I just bought a home, so I wanted to wire it up. I looked up Link Interactive online and they have really fair prices and good reviews. Plus setting up my own and customizing sounded like something I could do. The sales reps made things really easy for me to understand. We were able to set up a customized package that fit exactly what my home needed. I did the installation myself and it was easy. There needs to be a little bit more glue for some of the devices 'cause they fell off after a while, but I used super glue to fix it. The features are straightforward and are exactly what I want. I was told that I'd be notified if I open my house, and I don't know how to set that up. But I'm still exploring the app, so there’s more for me to learn. I'm very happy all in all.

Since I just bought our first home, I thought of buying a home security system. I started looking through reviews, and Link Interactive came up pretty high on most of them. They were number two from most people that I have seen for the price and for the services. So, I reached out to them. Their customer service representatives were good. I sent in a lead form and then got a phone call from them. They were very casual, very knowledgeable, and they presented the information. They were not salesy which was really cool for me, and then they got all my information. And it seemed like we were talking to a quality company, and not some big 800 number that just dials up a bunch of sales and doesn’t really care about the product they were selling. I called them back that afternoon and told them we were good to go.
Link did the FedEx tracking so I was able to track the package which was cool. The installation instructions and kit were simple. I had one small issue with one of the sensors, so I called them, and they quickly sent out another one within three days. The first couple months that we’ve had them now, it has been very supportive and very good with their service.
Our security equipment seems to be of high quality. The screen that we have is easy to use. We downloaded the app and it only takes two pushes of a button which is super simple. And I definitely like it. The cost is fair from what their competitors are offering. We often travel for extended periods of time. And if we’re going for five days at a time, it’s really nice to know that we have our security system as our backup, especially with our first home. I’d recommend Link to people. Our sales experience was easy. And it was also easy to have a conversation with them and get information from them. They weren’t trying to shove something that I didn’t need down my throat, and it is what a lot of people enjoy.

I was with Frontpoint for three years. All of a sudden, I was having problems with the signal to the box. They sent out three more key panels, and it still didn’t work. Finally, I just told them I needed to get out of the contract because it was like a month that went by and they didn’t have any answers to why I wasn’t getting the service I needed. Then I started researching alarm companies and I decided to go with Link Interactive out of the other competitors and they were able to give me a package based on what I wanted.
Link Interactive sent out the equipment and I installed it, which wasn’t difficult. When I have a problem, they just keep sending me more and more equipment. The features are good. I like the control panel. I've been having signal problems with their contact in the basement but they emailed me saying that they were sending out another contact. The communication and the monitoring service are good, so far. When they notice a problem, they contact us ASAP, which is really good. I just can't work out the alarm at the door in the garage overhead. And the little stick that they stick everything on with, they keep falling off.
Their cost is good and it's comparable to everybody else. However, it won't be good if they don’t work out the things in the garage and the basement. I'm trying to be patient and say, “Hey, let's work this out,” because they are responsive, and that’s a good thing. Having Link Interactive in our home is definitely a plus. I feel safe and I feel that they are monitoring. I will recommend them but first, they got to solve my problems.

I had a home security system in the house before which was managed by the cable company. When I dropped the cable company, Link was a personal referral from a friend and all my interactions with their representatives were very good. But Link requires a little more of my effort than it was before with the other company. For example, the other company would take care of all the permit process for the local sheriff’s office requiring an alarm permit, but that was something I had to go file for with Link. Also, I knew the installation would be challenging. I had to be on top of the ladder and do a lot of wiring. While they did their best to try hard to walk me through it and did a good job, it was still not an easy effort on the do-it-yourself project as it requires some skills, stamina, and a good six hours of labor. It was a lot of work and it could have been more clear.
The quality of the Link Interactive security equipment and the features of the system are good, and I like them versus what I had before. The Link system has got a lot of robustness so I can add certain things that the other one hadn't. But the downside to Link is distance-wise. Everything seems to have to be within 85 feet of the panel because it works on a Bluetooth pad basis. So, it makes it tough on a bigger house, but I've been able to make it work. Moreover, the cost is not cheap but not out of hand, so it's a fair price.

I did some research, and Link Interactive's pricing is pretty convincing. Also the technology and the panels are pretty advanced than other companies. It's been great with their reps. The installation was pretty complicated though. I needed to do some research on my own to figure it out. It would be helpful to have an easy to follow instruction. But so far, the system is okay.

I've been going through the web figuring out what's a good balance between price and the features being offered. One of the key features of Link Interactive was the cellular, which I was looking for and did not want extra cost. The sales rep went over what they can offer, what's included, and how they could fit it into my budget. There were follow-ups to make sure things were right on time and if there were additional questions and how to go about installing, they’ve been good with it.
Installation was fast and easy. Just peel one side and then stick the window and door sensors. It took a longer time for me, but otherwise, it was painless. Nothing in terms of getting the system connected to the console or having all the sensors work. Everything was pre-configured. Trying to change names was intuitive on the console. I used a different system before and Link Interactive is comparative with what we had, with the addition of having more responsiveness from the console and the app. The best part is the cellular feature in terms of having additional backup battery. We haven't had any alarm situation so I'm not sure about the actual monitoring service.
Recently, one of the AC outlets got loose and we got calls from the system saying the AC is probably speeding up the battery. I like this notification. The app also sends us notifications when we're arming and disarming, and when we have some falls. I like the Bluetooth feature as well, where when I'm right at home with my phone, I don’t have to pull up my phone, get the app out, and disarm. It's already talking to my phone to disarm the system. It’s another cool feature. But because Link Interactive relies on the Alarm.com application, which is a little generic, I can't do a lot of stuff on the phone. A little more smartness automation on the phone would be helpful. But I definitely would recommend Link Interactive to other folks. The price is 10 bucks lower although the equipment itself is still pricey, but that’s how the industry is like. The cellular service is great. I don’t have to worry about somebody cutting my phone line.

We called Link and asked questions and their rep told us what the deals were. He was very helpful and I liked the way he answered all the questions like what Link could do and I liked his response time too. I went over the features with him and told him everything that we wanted and what we had before. We customized the features. I told him how many windows, rooms and motion sensor. And we got to pick if we wanted a camera or any other extras. We ordered Link online a few days later. We got about the same package as what we had before. It came with the camera and the doorbell cam. We would have wanted indoor-outdoor cameras though.
Link was all install-it-yourself and took about an hour to do everything. It was pretty easy although with the doorbell camera, we have to go online to another website to get extra steps. Link could have put something in writing that would have helped more. Also, I like the features of my security system but we're having some issues with the doorbell camera working correctly right now. And compared to what we had before, Link costs a bit more. Other than those, Link is easy to work with, easy to get it set up with. They have good quality on their equipment and the actual panel that we got is all digital colored so that's really nice quality. Everything is working properly too.

There were some attempted home entries in our neighborhood and I needed a home security system. I read several home security reviews online and Link Interactive was consistently one of the top-rated companies. After making a few phone calls, we decided that they were the best fit for us. In the initial call that I made, the gentleman was great. He asked all the questions about the plans, walked me through, and sent me the quote. It was a very positive experience and I placed the order online with an ala carte-like package. Then the installation was quick, simple and very much as it was described in the instructions. The security system's features suit my needs and seem to be expandable if we choose to. And even the smartphone feature is good. Also, the cost is in line with the rest of the market. I wanted to feel more safe while I’m at home or away from home. Link Interactive was a recommendation. I did all my purchasing online. I put my cart together, but then I hadn’t made a decision quite yet. The next day, they contacted me and said. “We saw you put a cart together.” They actually texted me, which was extremely convenient because I’m at work most of the time during the day, and it’s easier to respond to text sometimes than to pick up the phone. They offered me money off to complete my transaction, which I ended up doing. I had a problem with the set up, but I called the customer service and they were able to help. Also, one of the sensors wasn’t picking up, but it’s been corrected.
I can manage the system from my phone. I like that it shows activation on the rooms, even if I’m away from the house, if it’s just Arm and Stay. I also customized the system to make me feel more safe, and to put extra value in the system. I feel more secure at night when I’m sleeping, knowing that if something were to happen, I would get alerted and I have more time to react. I’d recommend Link Interactive. I'll tell friends to check them out if they’re interested in a security system.

I was looking for a security system. I live in a downtown city and I travel a lot. Having a security system was the safe thing to do. I went online and Link Interactive was listed as one of the top security systems, so I decided making phone calls and started interacting with them. I have a camera and it's pointing out my back window. But that window looks on to an alley where we all have parking tabs, and people walk through the alley all the time.
My one issue is I had nothing in writing to tell me that I have a limitation of 1,000 camera uploads a month. I went back and read my contract and my agreement, and there’s absolutely nothing in there. Had they told me, it might have been something different. Now they're saying I can make it 6,000 but I have to pay $5 more a month. Nobody told me about the limitation and I should not have to pay the difference. They're telling me that this has to do with Alarm.com, which is the monitoring company. The customer service manager who’s working with me is trying to get me to change when I want my camera to take pictures. She’s asking me to limit my camera hours. I’m also noticing there's sort of wide gap when I know for a fact that there is traffic or items that should be being captured, and they’re not.
This is something we’re still working on and I’m hoping for a reasonable resolution that needs to work out to me. Other than that, everything seems to be very good. So far, the system has worked mostly the way we have expected it to work. We have a keypad feature which works a little differently than it has been explained to me, but we know how it works. I installed them myself and I’ve had people on the phone that helped me tremendously from the beginning. I have the app downloaded and I can log in online. I can look at my camera and look at my video, and I can scroll through the activity to see anything that has happened. When we first installed the system, one of our sensors kept going offline and then coming back online. I would get a notification about that and I was able to go out and look at it so I can see the information.
Their customer service team is courteous and professional. They’re always very friendly. They work with me and they walk me through. They send me a link and give me good information. They seem to be pretty well-trained, and that’s nice to know. But there's also a burden with having a security system. I need to make sure I register it with my local police department. I also have to make sure that if I'm traveling, a neighbor can get in and turn the alarm off.

We have some stores in different regions that are using the Alarm.com interface and it's a good one. When we opened a new store, I was looking for a distributor for that type of integration. I reached out to a couple of companies in the Georgia area and Link Interactive gave the best quote and got to me the quickest. They got back to me in the same day. The interaction was also quick and easy, which was what we were looking for.
We customized the package because we're an automotive shop and we needed a lot of motion sensors, so we picked out what we thought we would get that coverage with. Then I went to our store and installed all the units myself. When I was testing them, I had some issues with one of the motion sensors and I called support. They were able to help me troubleshoot it but we ended up getting another one ordered to replace it 'cause it was a defective unit. Everything seems good so far but the store doesn't open until February so we haven't had a lot of use out of it yet. But if the system works out well for us, I will be happy and we'll probably order a number of other systems from Link.

I bought a new house and I bought Link Interactive's door sensors, window sensors, and the cracked glass sensor that comes automatically with the panel. I also bought cameras and installed them myself before. Then I bought a camera and a couple more sensors last week. I wanted somebody else monitoring and call the cops if need be, and having Link's system is great. I like the set up with the sales representative and they weren't pushy. All was good and they explained what the different parts did. The only thing I haven't found out is there are extra things that I could actually get. Yet I like the fact that I don't feel rushed when I call and ask for technical help, and actually get the technical help that I'm asking for. The technician is also not feeling rushed. All in all, the people I've spoken with appear to be really good and stay true to what I've read. It appears on the research I've done online that the Link guys know what they're doing and talking about.
Since having the Link Interactive system in my home, I'm okay when I lay down at night and it feels good that I would know if somebody comes in when I leave the house. The cost is reasonable, which is great, and what I researched compared to my actual experience holds true even though it's been a short time span. I'm very pleased so far.

I googled the top five home alarms and Link Interactive was number two, so it was between them and Frontpoint. Frontpoint was very little money up front but was a higher monthly fee, while Link was more money up front but a lower monthly. All I did was add up two years of monthly costs with Link plus their two months free, and I'd save $78 with them. They sent me the DIY kit and setting it up was easy. Once I got one sensor done, the other 10 or 12 were cake. The positioning of the first one was a bit cumbersome, but not bad.
I like the console at home and the options. The only thing was that I wish I had different sensors. Not everything has a flat surface, and with the way the sensors are, it's almost like Link assumed that there's no ledge or no molding around doors and windows. But it's nothing they could have done since those sensors are the same sensors used by everybody, and it was just about figuring out how to position them. I'd recommend Link Interactive and their technology.

We've been happy with our Link Interactive system so far. It's very easy to install and it provided all the features we were looking for. It has a very simple interface, very straightforward, easy to understand and it works well. It's better than the one we had before, based on the number of options. It wasn't necessarily cheap, but it's priced fairly. We've also had a positive experience with their sales folks. They were knowledgeable and when we weren't able to make a decision within four months, they were gently reminding us. Link Interactive's system is definitely the best monitoring system for the price and quality.

My parent's home was broken into when I was kid so having a home security system is important. I called Link Interactive myself, spoke with a customer representative and purchased the system over the phone. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, answered all my questions I had, and helped me reduce the cost of the system that I was originally thinking I needed. The installation was really easy and they pre-programmed everything. And when I received the box, I just had to open it up and they had instructions on how to install each sensor. Then I turned on the main panel and everything worked as they promised. It was up and running. All features work as expected so I'm totally satisfied with it. However, the Bluetooth feature to connect the phone to turn the system off is real confusing and doesn't always work. It's more like a range issue. So, I'm finding it easier for me to go into my app and turn it off versus using the Bluetooth feature.
The cost for the service I receive is excellent and was the main reason why I went with Link. They had the lower cost in the market. The equipment and the monthly monitoring are cheaper. Also, the Link team is very proactive and they've reached out to me to make sure everything's working properly. I had one issue with the garage door sensor that they fixed for me right away since I brought it to their attention. I was very satisfied with everything. Moreover, the Link system gives me peace of mind when I'm traveling for business and my wife is home particularly since I also have the app that alerts me right away if something's going off. Link Interactive is one of the best competitors out there for home security system that offers great value for the price.

One of the reasons that I purchased it was because of their two-way voice control panel. Another reason was cost and the ability to install it myself. I had to replace one of the sensors because I messed it up when I was putting it in. Maybe a better quality plastic or even a metal casing would help. But, it surely wasn't Link's concern at all that it broke. I bought two of the remote panel but I didn't buy them through Link because they aren't offered. It's a beta feature and there are still some bugs to work out there. The volume was not quite as loud. And the materials may seem a little bit cheaper. But overall they all worked great and it is better than I expected.

I had a knee replacement and I was in the hospital. My five-year-old is living there all by herself, and my 27-year-old is moving out of the house. That’s why I wanted the security system. I got a flyer through the mail for a different home security system which said "Call today and get the installation for free." But they wanted $175 just to come and hook it up as the promotion already ended three weeks before that. When I called about Link Interactive, I thought it was alright as they would mail it to me. My son went and hooked everything up for me. Then I got home and I called to activate it. The rep said they automatically activated it after 30 days and I didn’t even have the equipment for 30 days. I only had it for about two weeks.
It was telling me my front door was open but it was closed and locked. Then it was telling me kitchen window and my dining room window were open. How would that say that when none of those sensors were on the dining room or a kitchen window. It was crazy. They were telling me that the system was reading that the doors and the windows were open, but they were not. I was running all around the dining room, living room, and kitchen checking which door or window was open.
I asked for them to please send out a technician as maybe something was wrong. The rep asked, "Are you sure that there aren’t any sensors on those windows?" I was looking at every window and there was nothing up. They said they would send me six, but there was only three. I told him one was on the front porch by the front door, one on the other door, and then one on a closed side door of the house. Link Interactive never sent me all the parts. They also said that they would give us a 30-day free trial with that Ring doorbell 'cause I wasn’t positive I even wanted it. The rep said, "No, ma'am. Keep that. It's a good thing because everybody uses that door."
It's just some equipment hooked up, but nothing works. One lady told me they didn’t even have a technician that could come out. It's pretty useless to have that stuff hanging here when it does not work. If someone’s going to break in, they're going to break into those windows or through those doors. It would be a lot better if Link Interactive could send somebody out.

Sorry for the unpleasant experience. Our goal is to get you feeling safe with your system. We thank you for your patience.

If you're looking for something price competitive and meets what you need for basic alarm system, then go with Link. I used to have a Time Warner, but they no longer offer alarm services. I found Link Interactive online and I got them for the service that they provide, the equipment, and the price are all fair. Their team was very informative and personable when I first called and inquired about their services and then when they called to set it up. Once I got the alarm system, I had a couple of questions and they were very helpful to answer those too. Then the installation was easy and I've had the system for about a month now. My old system was a little bit more techy but the features of the Link system are fair. I was able to play music on the old system or have the weather come up, whereas I'm not too sure if the Link system updates regularly or not, but it's fine. There were a couple of things that I liked about it and the cost is good. I'm happy with it so far.

I had a home security provider before that I wasn’t really completely satisfied with. I had it several years and when I moved, they kept charging me because I hadn’t had it for a year. The Link Interactive system is a little more economical and I was impressed with their representative. He was straightforward and did really well. The cost was reasonable and it was one of the reasons why I bought it. I added fire protection to it which cost me $60 more but it was worth it. The only issue was they sent me a copy to give to my insurance company, and I forwarded it to them. They said there wasn’t any fire protection in it, so I had to contact them back. We had two or three correspondences that we didn't have to do if they had put the fire and police protection all-in-one in the certificate the first time.
I already put a similar system before, so installing it this time was not a problem. I like its features. It’s easy to arm and disarm. The first time I armed it, my wife was going out to the car and she left the door open a little bit and it wouldn’t arm. So, I had to close the door to arm it. My wife feels more secure with the Link system than I do. I have other ways to take care of things but when she’s all by herself, she feels more secure.

I purchased a brand spanking new home and it didn't have anything. I had a security system in my old place and I had a break in before, and someone also broke into my vehicle within the first two weeks of moving in here, so I figured it was time to get a security system. My previous home was a rental so I didn't have it monitored, but my new home is monitored so it gives me peace of mind when I'm not home, in case somebody does break in. The Link system is easy to use and I was able to do my own installation fairly easy. As long as you know how to read and you have about an hour of your time, you can go ahead and settle your sensors yourself.
The Link sales rep was great. She was very thorough and set everything up. The only misunderstanding was that when we set it up, I thought she said, "If you don't call us within nine days, we will automatically activate it". I came to find out that it was 45 days, not nine days. Because about 35 days in, I had a situation where the alarm went off by mistake. I wasn't home, and my fiancée opened the garage door. The alarm must have gone on for 5 to 10 minutes and the cops didn't come. I was relieved that they didn't come 'cause they could have charged me when it was really a false alarm. But then when I came home, I was concerned so I called Link Interactive to find out what happened. That's when she said that I hadn't activated my system yet. Also, when I called in to report that, I was on hold for 20 minutes before I got someone on the phone. Had it been an emergency, I would have been upset.
I like the phone app and the fact that the system reads out which ones open. However, the number pad on the screen is small, so if you're not careful, you'll press the wrong button and then you have to go back and do a correct code. With other systems, it's not a digital screen. There's an actual keypad with actual numbers like an old school phone, and they're easier to press and you know that you are pressing the correct code. Overall Link has been cost effective. I get offers for cheaper monitoring specifically from ADT, but I haven't looked into it to see what it is exactly and what they offer. I'm happy with what Link is doing and they don't give me a reason to shop around.

We had a 20 years old wired system in our home, and so we wanted get up to date and use wireless. I checked out and talked to about half a dozen different providers, and based on the reviews, Link was either number one or two. I dealt with two or three different salespeople. I started it in August and then pulled the trigger until December. We were not in any big hurry, and everything went well and all our questions were answered.
However, I have two problems with the installation. I have a molding around the doors, so what I ended up doing to get things mounded relatively flush was I chipped and trimmed the molding to get the part to the door and part to the frame installed. Also, my wife wanted me to mount the monitors on the wall, but it has a plugged-in adapter and transformer, so I can't do that. I sent them a picture and asked for directions on how to mount it, but I didn't have any success with that. They really wouldn't answer. But, other than having to trim the molding, it was no problem at all.
I like the fact that what I got is extendable. I can add things to it from a thermostat and the doors and lights and others. I like that I have that option. The quality of the equipment is also great. I like the smartphone features as well. If you forget to turn on the alarm you can do it remotely. Fortunately, so far, we haven't had any alerts sent to us. I feel a lot more comfortable since having them. We like our security system.

Link Interactive has been good. I've done research on around 10 other competitors and Link Interactive had the best bang for the buck. I set it up over the phone and the rep was good. But Link Interactive could include additional free adhesive stuff. I tried to attach it to one of the doors and then it ended up being that it wasn’t in the right spot. I was forced to use the screw, which was fine, but I would have preferred to have done it again with a strip.
There was a false alarm that was triggered 'cause a guest had opened a window after the alarm was set. Nobody knew that it happened and the alarm went off. It worked as it was supposed to. The question I had as to why we didn’t get a phone call was explained to me. It was because we didn’t put the code in within a secondary window of time. The person explained to me that they listened in for a moment after the code was put in just to confirm that everything was fine. There wasn’t an actual phone call ‘cause they had confirmed that was the proper code and nothing alerted them that there was something wrong in the house. It was good to know that if something like that happens, someone will be peeking in for a moment. I would definitely tell someone that they should look into Link Interactive.

I went online trying to get a quote and then I kept having a number call me multiple times a day and I finally answered. I realized that I had signed up to get that phone call. The person that I talked to was very helpful. We have one motion sensor and two door detectors, which feels like the bare minimum for a security system. It is affordable and it works as far as I can tell. We feel slightly more secure with it. The one thing that I didn't like is that one of the things that came with the system is a motion sensor that isn't supposed to pick up anything under 80 pounds. We have a dog that's right at 50 pounds and the sensor picks her up, which has been frustrating. Other than that, everything was very straightforward and accurate.

Link Interactive was more affordable, and the features and benefits that I'm getting are very well balanced. I spoke to one of their sales reps and he walked me through all the different equipment and options. He asked me good, practical questions to help me decide what I needed for my house specifically, without paying a ridiculous amount of money and not for anything extra. We wanted to update the home security system that we had and from the original point of our shopping, Link Interactive's rep was excellent to deal with. Then, we had to call customer support two or three times in the stages of learning the equipment. Their reps were all extremely pleasant. Link Interactive's system is also much better than our previous provider. We like being able to turn the alarm off and on from our phone and the convenience of unarming or arming the system after we left the premises, if we forgot. We couldn't do that before, which is the reason we changed company.
The equipment was very easy to install as well. It was a matter of plug in and the instructions were really simple. But we didn't understand the one for the additional siren that we bought. Also, the sign says Link Interactive Solutions and is not clear what it is. It looks like it could just be an internet computer-type thing and does not appear to be an alarm system. And we didn't think it was enough to scare off any would-be burglars, so, we still have our ADT signs up outside. Link Interactive could change their logo and their sign. Other than that, we're very pleased with the features and quality of the system, as well as it's cost.

I had a home security system before, but we moved so I needed to get a new one. I had Vivint through Alarm.com but Link was more available here in the area with their local agencies. Link's cost is also much better in regard to other security systems. I had over 100 different conversations with them to learn the system 'cause theirs was more enhanced than Vivint's. Some of the things also required them to do it, versus me being able to do it from the control panel. It was self-installation, and everything was set up well. There were a few questions as far as how to set up different options when I was installing it, but they were able to answer the phone quickly and talk me through it. Depending on how much equipment you have, it could be time-consuming to figure out where you're going to put everything, but it's easy to do. I had a few missed disconnection communications, but it all worked out in the end.
The only thing that could be better would be the different garage door controllers. The one we have is very good, but it takes up to 30 seconds sometimes before it will actually start operating the garage door. If nothing's tripping the sensors on the garage door, as far as making sure that no one's going to get hit with it, then it doesn't need to take up to 30 seconds. Also, Link needs to increase the app features to match more of the online features. There are different things you can do when you manage your system through the internet versus what you can do on a control panel and the app. All three can do different things than each other. Sometimes if I'm not at the home or near my computer but I need to do something, I should be able to do it from my phone versus having to wait till I get home.

My wife and I wanted some more security around the house because I was going to leave it for an extended number of months. We live in a nice neighborhood but one of the things that happen in a nice neighborhood is you get burglars. Link has an exceptional offer if you need security and are looking for a home device. Their ratings were top three. I compared some prices and theirs is a great value. The cost was about what we wanted to spend and I'm very comfortable with it. I got the gist of the security system so my big questions were on the install and about having a pet. I spoke to David and he was really nice. He answered every question I had and helped me get everything situated. He explained it really well and that made the process really easy.
The installation was really easy as well, but you've got to be careful, especially with the sensors because they're plastic. The window and door sensors seem to be sticking to the wood paneling fine though. I wish the screen was wireless so we wouldn't have a wire hanging down the wall. Although we can set it on the countertop, we mounted it on the wall 'cause it's closer to the front door as we walk in. The equipment is great and I like that it's green.
The only thing that we're having a trouble with is we have a dog and he's about 55 pounds. When we activate the away feature, he hits one of the sensors. We have it in stay mode so the perimeter is locked down. With it being in stay mode, he doesn't seem to trip it as much. The app is also awesome. I usually try to turn the system on and off with that, particularly when we go to bed. It's nice knowing that you're protected when you go to bed, especially since we'll be having a child in March.

For instance, you open one of the doors and it says, “Door open” but you can’t hear it. It’s not that loud. I already adjusted it so I was thinking of getting another console.
Another thing I don’t like is there’s an option where you can put your own SD card in there. I have some pictures so I added the SD card to it, and it made the pictures distorted. Other than that, I like it and I also like the fact that it's like a little picture frame. It cycles some pictures, you arm it and what have you. Our apartment had been robbed when I was living with two other girls. With my previous experience and for security measures, I purchased a home security system. I did some research on different companies and found a list of the top 10 security systems to go with. I went down the list, called multiple companies, and asked them if I could call back and discuss our options since my husband was out of town for work. Link Interactive let me do that and even gave me a call back to see if I would like to follow through with them.
During installation, we had a glass break so they had to reset that one for us because something must have been wrong with it. In addition, I wish they were more detailed with the motion sensor. Because it will say that the motion sensor is active for the next hour until somebody hasn't been walking through the area for an hour. That part was confusing. Especially when we would be trying to test things and we're thinking there's nobody over there. But, it shows us that it's active. However, once we did call and asked about it, they explained it all to us.
Finally, the only other issue we have was making sure that when we want to set the alarm to be able to leave our house, you actually have to call to have the alarm delayed to be able to set the alarm. And then, open the door and leave. This is something we didn't realize. For us, what I first want to do is I would set the alarm and I'd open the door and then the alarm goes off. Once we called and they got that figured out for us, everything was good from that point forward.
Overall, I feel more secure having a security system that is definitely worth the money. And if we forgot to set it for some reason or another, we can set it from our phone. We've had a friend who came over to our house when we were gone to pick up something. And I just had him call me before he got there. Because of that, I was able to disarm the alarm for him from my phone ahead of time. Then, I was able to reset it after he left and that was very convenient for me.

I dealt with one gentleman and he was very nice and professional. Also, there was really no wait time. When I received my package, since this was a self-install, I called them and they helped me set everything up. We went through it step by step and it was easy to do. Quality of the equipment is good. I preferred to have cameras as part of my package with the way things are these days. But it was a bit more expensive, so I had to pass on it.
I use the smartphone app and I greatly like that part. I have small children, one’s almost a teenager, and they walk home from school. They get home before I do and I'm able to arm and disarm the system to let them in, and put it back on once they get inside without having to give them the code. I feel better having the Link system and knowing that nobody is sneaking in their window and taking them. And then, at night, I could sleep. Everything was very pleasant with Link and I would recommend them. A few people said that they'd rather have somebody install the system because they'd know what they're doing. They asked me for my code word, they found the address, we went through it and it was resolved within a few moments. They were professional and more than adequate. My home had damage from Hurricane Harvey, so the installation took me a week and a half, as the repairs were being made to get everything back in order. But it was very easy. However, there could have been better instructions. There was one that it works with the fire alarm, and there was nowhere in the instruction that said I had to take the screw out to get the battery in. The Link system works and it seems to do well. The smartphone feature is the best. If I forget to set the alarm on the way out, I can just pull the app up and set it from wherever I'm at. Or if somebody has to stop by, like my mom, and she gets confused, I can turn it off and she doesn't have to mess with it. She worked out a very fair deal with me and then I advised her that I was going to call back when I got all the information situated but I lost her number. I still wanted to speak to the same rep because I didn't want to start all over with a different rep's effort and I was fortunate that she kept the information and contacted me back two days later. She wasn't pushy about it though and I finally closed the deal with her.
Link Interactive's system is more of a do-it-yourself kit so I didn't have to worry about scheduling a time for somebody to get here. My husband installed the home security system and though there were some minor issues when I got home, they were positional and not necessarily the equipment itself, so it was fine. The quality of the equipment is fair. It's not bulky or noisy, and it's very user-friendly. The glass panel on the monitor is fine too. I thought that it could only be used if you plug it in but when I unplugged it, it still worked. I'd like to include actual cameras on the unit but I like the fact that my panel has a camera on there. I also ordered additional sensors for some windows. The cost is fair given everything as being more.
I feel more secure that I have Link Interactive. I can even monitor it on my phone. I also got a key fob but I don't really need it because I use the app to activate and disarm my system, which is very handy, so I don't have to keep running out the house. I used to have ADT and it was a hardwired device. It was not compatible with wireless phones at the time they installed it and for them to change it, they would have to come in and redo the whole system.
The reps I had spoken to also explained everything fairly and were professional, and I'm satisfied with the services. Recently, I had a false alarm. I was 40 minutes away from home at that time and I was panicky. They were very nice to contact the police department to find out if it was a false alarm and I got that information fairly quickly. But then, there was an issue with having the alarm. What I saw on the app was different from what they had on their end, and I was concerned with disarming it if I wasn't physically there. It took somebody from technical support walking me through it and he was able to thoroughly assist me. It resulted in them silencing the alarm but it was still active and I was able to disarm it when I got to the house.

I researched, called around, got quotes and I wanted to try Link. But I don't like it. I’ve been having problems since I installed it and has been going on for the second month. But I went out of town for Christmas so we couldn’t fix it and I was supposed to call when I got back which I'll do a little bit later on today. Their customer service is excellent though and every time I call, they really try to help me.

Based on my friend's recommendation, I got Link Interactive and I have been using their home security system to secure my house for 3 months now. They're a lot more flexible and a lot less expensive than other companies. Their reps were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I installed the system myself and it was extremely easy. I had a lot of equipment so it took me a couple of days to finish. I customized the package and the features of the system are fantastic. My experience was extremely pleasant, the cost of service is fantastic, and I highly recommend them.

I have a friend who puts in different alarm systems and out of all them Link was the best. Their sales guy was very knowledgeable about the system and he didn’t oversell me on things I didn’t need. He evaluated what I could use and gave me suggestions which I really appreciated. Every time they call me about an alarm it has been a really good experience as well.
The installation process was easy and everything worked perfectly even though it was my first time to do it. I’m satisfied with the features that the alarm offers and I have used the motion security where I can control the light through the app. Also Link’s price was reasonable. I paid about six hundred dollars overall and I wish I could’ve paid less but it was definitely good for what I got. I hope to use the alarm for some years and that’s when I’ll feel Link is actually paying me back. I’d tell my friends to try it and they wouldn't be disappointed.

Link Interactive had the ability to integrate smart home functions like lighting and door access controls. I called them to ask about the price and other general information. Their reps are helpful in finding a good package and I negotiated an even better discount than what they were initially offering. ADT and some other competitors are pretty aggressive on the phone and will do anything to set up an appointment. However, Link was laid back and at the end, it was a very soft sales pitch, which I appreciated. They also did a good job in setting me up with the equipment I needed but not more than I need. It was easy to do everything myself during installation. The step-by-step instructions were very easy to walk through. I installed the main hub, the door and window alarm monitors, as well as the cameras. Then, I did a raw interface with the web. I'm satisfied and I'd definitely recommend Link Interactive.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying your system and loving that smartphone app! Thanks for being a great customer.

Link Interactive’s sales rep was cool. She updated me of all those technology. However, the installation wasn't so good. I installed it myself but the sensors that they sent me had batteries that were running low. And they were certain of it. And then, I had the service for about a week only to find out that it wasn't even being monitored. I opened the door and saw that the alarm is on but it never went off. So, I start looking into it and it says, "Armed" and all that, but it wasn't being monitored. I called and they told me that it was in test mode and they didn't know why. And then they put it in a regular access mode. All that time I thought that my house is secure with the alarm system, it wasn't. And they didn't do anything about the charges or anything to rectify.
Not only that, the sensors keep saying that they're bypassing. I don't know why it's saying that. When I called them, they sent me new sensors. And then, they're calling me to send back the old sensors, like harassing me to send back the old sensors. And I'm like, "Okay, I'm going to send them back." But a couple of the sensors weren't working. It kept going in and out. It's making me regret my decision. I'm in a three-year contract with them but I don't feel like it's really secured.

I am sorry for the unpleasant experience you are having. Sounds like we got you the new sensors to fix your issue. And yes we need the defective ones back so we can return them to the manufacturer. As far as not being monitored all of our systems are shipped in test mode. As our customers install their systems we don't want the police to be called by mistake. We instruct our customers to call us as soon as they get it installed for us to remove them from being on test. I am sorry this wasn't clear. We hope we can earn your business and that your experience will be better. Thanks!

I wanted to be secure and got a home security system. The reviews for Link Interactive and their panel made me choose them over other providers. Their panel was more user-friendly and gave me the option of using a remote access. When I was getting it, the dealing with their reps was very good. But then after that, I always have to call multiple times to get hold of someone and it seems they are not so responsive to existing customers. During the installation process, I had to do it myself and the magnetic ones were easy to do and work with. But some tools for the motion sensors were a little difficult screw in and put a lot of pressure on the motion sensors. Setting it up took me an hour but installing the system didn’t take that long. In terms of the cost in relation to the quality, I like it but I was looking for other options until my trial period was valid. I like other ones who were offering little bit cheap and even $5 a month cheaper would be awesome for me.
Link is our first security system and we are still in the process of getting used to it so there are times when we totally forget it. With the features that it offers, it can be slightly better. The setting area has a lot of settings altogether in one place and I have to scroll down and find out. The directions are not too clear and sometimes I have to make changes and perform the action to make sure that option I have selected was what I wanted. The settings area can be improvised. I also have multiple users so they can arm and disarm the system. I have the names associated too but when I get a notification that someone activated or deactivate it, it just gives me a user one or user two and I would have liked to see their names in the email. Other than that, Link gave me a peace of mind.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

Installing the Link Interactive System was dead simple. You just have to stick everything in place. Also their main panel was a lot nicer than a lot of the other ones that were out there. The only annoyance was the little adhesive sticker on the door sensors and I wanted to swap them out. The representative took care of that and manually did a custom order to put those in. But I also missed the starter packet that was supposed to come with it. So they placed me on a default 30-day trial period where I'm not actually active.
One of the reasons I went with Link Interactive is because we needed to get this in immediately. But it took some testing. I couldn't tell that it wasn't working or if the monitor was working or not. So one day I basically opened the door without disarming it and walked outside with it and tossed it. I was in my car sitting to listen if it screams and see how long it would take for them to call me. Half an hour rolls by and I haven't heard from anybody. Because of that I called them and they told me that I wasn't actually active since they put me on the 30-day trial period. So they automatically enabled the service. It seems I missed calling them to manually turn it on at that point. But we got it working after testing a few times and since then I usually get a call within a minute or two if anything happens. It's really fast so I'm pretty happy.
However I really wish they had more sensor functionality like Abode. Abode was cheaper for monitoring monthly and I actually liked it a lot better in a lot of ways. With Link, I just can't grab any sensor in the market and make it work. I have to wait for Alarm.com to decide to pick one up and start supporting it. But the app is pretty decent all in all and it does everything I need it to. I feel secure. Additionally their representative was awesome. He spent over an hour on the phone with me going over all my concerns. He basically helped sell it. I wouldn't have gone with it if I hadn't spoken with him. But I did have a few questions since I have done a lot of digging that he didn't know about but they weren't really any of the questions you would normally get and he went out and actually got the answers for me.
Link Interactive is on the expensive side and they are not super modular so you can't do anything that you want with it but overall Link Interactive offers a pretty cohesive solution. And another thing that was really nice is that they have Verizon Support while a lot of the other ones were only Sprint and T-mobile. That was kind of a killer for some of the platforms I looked at because up in a mountain or in a rural area that's the only option I have on the horizon.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly! Please let us know if you ever need anything.

We just bought a house and I wanted to feel safer with our kids. Their bedrooms are on the second floor and I wanted something that could alert me if anything happened upstairs. Both Link Interactive and the other company I looked at were really nice. However, there was something about Link Interactive that drew me more. Plus, the other company kept calling even though I asked them not to and that bugged me a little. Overall though, Link Interactive just had the better reviews. I called and the first person I dealt with was someone named Mitch. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. Everyone I talked to is very smart and also very nice.
Getting the system installed was a little tricky. At first, my husband had trouble with the thing that goes on the door and the thing that goes on the window. He couldn’t line them up properly. It’s really hard to see the little lines and in the paperwork, it wasn’t well explained that you had to line up the lines. Once we talked to someone, they were able to tell us about the line. Setting up our panel took a long time as it kept giving an error. A wire in the back was in the wrong position and it took a while to figure that out. Once everything was installed, it was fine.
I love our system's features. It is simple and easy to use. I like that we can be in the car and set the alarm system on or turn it off and not have to come into the house to type the alarm code in. I also like the easy-to-use panel. The smartphone features are very good, however, sometimes it takes a little while to turn on. Once it even failed to. The price of the system is a little high, but then they are all high.

I had Link Interactive when I moved to a new location and even though this is a safe place, I just felt comfortable with a home security. Also, having the interactive options with the thermostat and the cameras was very interesting. The only difference between my previous security and Link Interactive is that for Link, I had to purchase my own equipment. My previous security provided the equipment upfront for free. So in this case, Link Interactive is a little bit more expensive. They offered me a thousand-dollar equipment with the three-year contract. I signed the contract and I spent my own money to buy their equipment. That was a hesitation in the beginning but because we are Costco customers and we really, really trust Costco, we went ahead with Link.
It was a very nice experience with sales. They were very welcoming to me as a returning customer and that was very helpful. I was hoping that they would give me a new panel without cost but they did not and I wasn’t very happy about it. However, at the end of the day, I’m okay with it. It could be better if they have any new technology that is different from years ago like new monitors and interactive panels because all of my equipment is three years old except for the sky cam. Most of the installation, I did myself. And since I have done it before, I knew the process. But some of them, I had some trouble like with my sky cam. In the first couple of weeks, it was recording beautifully. And then all of a sudden, it dropped off, and I called a couple of times and I haven’t resolved it yet.
I really like the smartphone features. I like that I have cameras that are interactive and that I can watch even I am away. If I was living in an area where there is some kind of concern, I would definitely feel most secure by having the control in my hand. I did get a couple of people who told me that their equipment is better than other companies. But when I go online and search for it, I found Link Interactive was very comparable.

We moved to a new home that’s in a more remote location and less populated, and we felt that we needed more protection in our surroundings. Link Interactive’s sales process didn’t make me feel like I had to act right away or that there was some special time promotion. One of the other companies that I spoke with was very pushy, and that put me off. As great as a system could be, I don’t want to do business with a company like that. My interaction with the salespeople for Link was fantastic. They were very upfront and they gave me the information that I needed and they let me make my decision on my own. They were very responsive too, and I couldn’t ask for a better processor. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and experienced, but overall, the biggest deal was just being human. I’m in sales myself and I know a customer wants to be treated like a person, not like a buying unit.
Installation was straightforward and I did it myself. Some of the information on the manual regarding the screen unit, the actual home device that you interact with, wasn’t exact to the model that we had. That was a little weird having to figure out and that could have been a bit clearer. But we worked it out and it was fine, and everything else in terms of the doors and the windows was good. We had an issue with the batteries being dead on the glass break technology but they sent us out new batteries. We called that day and they were good about getting that done too. In terms of quality, my understanding is that the cellular technology is the way to go. It’s usually on continuously even if our internet goes out, so Link Interactive is meeting the expectations of what they put in place. The bad news is also the good news: we haven’t had any break-ins to test it. The system’s features feel robust and I’m very satisfied with Link Interactive.

I bought the Link Interactive system back in the end of September. I went and picked up everything and the reps were always very pleasant, friendly and upfront. But as far as the equipment, I don't like it. I had hopes of getting it up and running before I left for the East Coast for a month but the equipment was too much. I wish I would have paid somebody to come in and put it up for me. My husband is a computer engineer and he still hasn't been able to get it completely figured out yet.
We kept running into problems in installing like the metal doors. I got the phone to extend it but now we're having problems. We got the system telling us when a door opens, but all of a sudden it quit talking to us. The little chips for the door opening and closing do not stick to the metal doors. They keep falling off and that has been a discouragement. I used to put the cheap ones from RadioShack on my kids' bedroom doors and the fact that the sensors keep falling off means something is wrong with the connection.
I called once and they said they had 24-hour service, but I got put through to the wrong desk and was put on hold indefinitely. A part of it was my error though and I called back. It has been a few months and we still don't have it up and running to the point where we can set it for security. I haven't figured out how to use the cameras and all of the intricacies yet but I'm sure I'm getting charged for it. My husband is always out of town as well but he just got back in town this weekend and he'll work on it again. I'm a little frustrated and I've started to think whether I really need it.

We had a break-in which wasn't too bad but it was a bit of a reality check. I really wanted the freedom of being able to do my own install and set up what I wanted. After searching online, the top two were between Link and Frontpoint. I spoke with Link first and we went through how the downstairs was laid out, what areas we really needed to cover and what would be the most cost-effective way to do it. I told the rep that I was at work and I was really looking to get a lot of information but then would want to go home and talk with my wife about it. She gave me all the information that I was looking for and shot me a quote via email. She was very informative and not very pushy. I appreciated it.
But I actually decided to go with Frontpoint first. Everything that they sold me over Link wasn't really correct so once I figured out a little bit more, I used the return option and went with Link instead. We called them back to get set up. I saw the installation myself and it went smoothly. It probably wasn't quite as smooth as the Frontpoint set-up though. That one really led you through the process versus having to look a little bit more at the instruction and figure out what was what on the Link one. But it wasn't a hard installation.
Besides, I like the actual equipment itself and that was one of the major reasons we decided to go back to them. One thing I did though was I bought some additional alarms because the siren itself wasn't very loud. When we moved to a house where we had an ADT alarm that was not very functional from the previous owner, we never had to activate it but from the door-open and door-close chime, it was a lot louder because it had a separate alarm. Having that probably would be something that I would encourage. Even if Link Interactive was locked into the alarm panel, they should include a separate siren because one really isn't doing much. Comparing Link Interactive to the similar companies that I was looking at, the price is definitely competitive and when it comes to the do-it-yourself ones, I would definitely recommend Link Interactive.

My contract was up on my previous alarm company and I looked for other alarm companies that deal with Alarm.com. Link Interactive was one of them. There were several others that I received quotes from but Link Interactive was the one that gave me the best deal for my money. Their quote was higher than another one that I was comparing it to but they were able to match that. By matching that and having the extra features that they were providing, with no doubt, they were the ones that I will pick. The individual I dealt with for that was great too. He made sure I got the best deal.
He also gave me his direct line in case I had any questions and I did have a question a week after I've made the agreement to be with Link Interactive. I emailed and he said he was going to call because he wanted to be able to hear my response instead of emailing back and forth. It was great because it was more personal communication. He resolved my problem and told me to call him anytime I needed something. I've also called customer service, the support team and the sales department and they've responded immediately.
Since I already had my own system that I purchased through my previous company all I had to do was replace the network card when I switched to Link Interactive. They also gave me $150 credit on my account where I can purchase extra equipment or signage and I used the credit to pay for the network card so nothing was out of my pocket.
And one thing that I like about their website is that they also have their sales section there. With my previous provider if I wanted to buy additional equipment I couldn't look at anything off the website. I have to give their sales department a call, ask what they had and if they had a certain product ask for the price. With Link Interactive everything is laid out and sometimes they were able to give me a deal on some of the equipment but other times they said, "That's the price that we have. We can't get it any lower. So, we're sorry if we can't give you a better price." So they're really transparent with the sales.

Their instructions were excellent. The team at Link Interactive answered any questions I’ve asked. They’re super friendly, very helpful and very good at problem-solving. There was a time when they got down to what was actually causing the problem – my router or my ISP. There was also a time I called them to troubleshoot a lock and they sat on the phone with me for about an hour troubleshooting the lock, and then we found out it had nothing to do with any of that, but my wall that everything was trying to go through.
I installed Link Interactive because I want to hear a ding, a beep or something because I got small children and one of them is big enough to open the door. It’s more of knowing a door has been opened or a window has been opened. Their customer service and product are great. The only hiccup I’ve had was when we left out of town. I set the alarm and I had several false alarms. It wasn’t that they called the police. I told them, “Hey, this is new. I’ve had a do-it-yourself system before and it had to go false alarm. The people on the other end got all the paperwork done for us online and they were fantastic. The installation was very easy and we had zero problems. Everything we have is perfect and in working condition. We didn’t mind paying the system now. And certainly, in the future, if anything happens and things prevent anything, we’re all onboard. Costing is great so far and certainly, if it protects us, it would be worth the investment. It’s also easy to use the system and we use it all the time now.
What’s great about is it’s easy to turn on. It’s not like, “Oh, we have to turn it off and on.” Another great thing about it is it’s simple to use so our place is armed all the time. It’s not a pain in the butt to use so that’s another advantage of it. I feel better with the Link Interactive. My wife and I were talking about it and knowing that we have all these things makes us feel good about it. It feels more secure. It’s one of our things we’ve invested and now we’re happy with, so far. I like the cost and that it’s a simple contract. You can choose your amount of time you want to make, which is nice.
They got our back by doing all the work for us and filing the permits for the area we’re in because if anything happens, we would have been fined $100. We got Link Interactive installed around the first week of November. So far, we love it. And the people there were super nice and easy to work with. They also seem to know their stuff really well. If there's somebody else you need to talk to, they connect you to that person. When it was installed, the only thing the technician did was switch one door for another door, but we got that squared away.
And then, when you have a problem, they got a technical line that you can call right away. Like when our alarm went off because I didn’t have it tied to my phone so they called right away to say my alarm is going off, and I got up and fixed it. Then, when I went to leave, it didn’t arm “Away” for some reason. Instead, it just armed “Stay”. So, their representative told me when I download the app, I can fix it. Overall, I will tell friends that if they ever decide they want a unit, Link Interactive is affordable. What I like about it is that their system cannot be hacked.

I liked that I could buy the equipment from Link Interactive upfront. Installing the system was easy and I did it myself. I’m mechanically inclined, so it didn’t take much. They got a pretty good team, too. Sam was very helpful in getting me into the program, getting the system set up and giving me equipment within a timely manner. I'm gone a lot and my home was broken into before. But now I don't have to worry about my valuables and my home anymore. I have Link Interactive for a month and a half now and I've recommended my son to them.

Link Interactive was rated as one of the most recommended vendors. They got good reviews from other people. Their sales reps are quite informative. Though you have to haggle a little bit on the pricing, it was fine all in all. In addition, the instructions are pretty okay and the quality of the equipment is good so far. Also, the features they have on the smartphone are comprehensive. Other than that, the video monitoring could be more comprehensive as well. They could provide more storage or live recording, without paying an additional cost.

I did an extensive research on many different alarm companies and chose Link Interactive, mostly for the cost and the features. We’ve had it for about month and we're happy with it so far. It is a very good choice. The cost was very competitive and the features are great. Installation was very easy and I had no problems with it. I've talked to support a couple of times and they were very good. I spoke to a woman during the first time and a man during the second time. They were both very friendly and responsive. My husband was doing some research on what would be the best option for security and found Link Interactive. He called them to get information and get a quote. He was super pleased with the service, and he called them once we had the final count of the things that we needed and it was affordable. They shipped it and it arrived perfectly during the time frame. Installing it was very easy. My husband did it and it was just super fast. He did the entire house and it took him probably an hour or less. We’ve had their system since the summer. There’s just one window, though, that keeps being deactivated and he thinks it’s the battery. But everything else has worked perfectly. It's really a good experience. I had an excellent experience with Link Interactive. They were easy to work with and they definitely knew their stuff. Their approach was better than some of their competitors. While their competitors just wanted to talk down Link Interactive, Link talked about what they could do. Link's home integration stuff is a little bit better and the pricing of the equipment into the monthly payment was advantageous. Also, the system was all set up so installing it was easy. I had to hang stuff, which was more or less like self-adhesive stick-on. So far, our sense of security has gone up since the only reason we got it was for while we’re sleeping. Link Interactive is a cost but is definitely worth it.

We have been thinking about purchasing a home security system for a while. And since we're expecting a new child, I thought it would be a good idea to have one. Link Interactive sets itself apart as the security that's not being able to be hacked. It's also a cost-efficient security system, so it made me feel very comfortable. Their customer service has been phenomenal and I've enjoyed their reps. Every time I’ve had to call with an issue or learning about more information, they have been exemplary. They really stand for customer service, which is rare nowadays. For instance, when I was first learning about the system, before I’d even purchased it, the gentleman on the phone was very informative. He gave me information and I didn’t feel like I was being sold.
However, he had not given all of the correct information such as understanding that there was a panic button setting on the phone and a few other things. All I had to do was call customer service and they made it right. They immediately sent me out a panic button and shared with me that it was not out yet on the phone, but they wanted to take care of me. Those little things reminded me that they want my business and made me feel like a quality customer and not just a number.
The installation process was easy and it didn’t take very long. And I liked the fact that they had the videos to help guide the consumer on how to install it. So far, we were able to customize it exactly what we wanted to. We had a little bit of an issue with the motion sensors at the beginning but they turned around and got us brand new ones out. There wasn't even a full week turnaround time. And since using Link Interactive, we feel amazingly comfortable in my home. It's so nice to be able to hit the button and on the system, and go to sleep, and know that we’re covered. Overall, for their good quality service and affordable price, there's no second-guessing. Link Interactive is the only way to go.

Installing the system was very easy and I was able to do it. I’ve had it for about three weeks now and I like it. I have no problems with it but I’m going to send it back due to the fact that 36 months is way too long for an apartment. And I found one where it’s not a contract, which was really good. I've used Link Interactive since September and they were the best price at that time. One of the things that were difficult about the installation was being able to put it on all door types. The trimmer around the door is not flushed with the actual door, and so what I essentially had to do was create a spacer and drill those into the door so that it would be leveled. Otherwise, it wouldn't work at all and I had to do that for several of my doors. But other than that, the customer service was super nice. Whenever I called them, they were able to help me out and get everything taken care of. I feel safer knowing that the Link Interactive system is in place.

I already had home security with a different company, and I felt I wasn’t secure, and it wasn’t really what I wanted. To have more peace of mind, we got Link Interactive system which includes sensors for motion, doors, and windows. The dealing I had with their employees was amazing and their customer service was great. I spoke to a gentleman the very first time and he was very helpful, informative, and knowledgeable about the system. Also, Link worked with my budget which was really important. The installation was easy and self-explanatory. They know my husband had a hard time with the sensor. It wasn’t anything complicated and he was trying to set it up in the right area where it can cover the most.
In terms of its cost, it was affordable and very competitive towards other companies. We like the quality of the equipment but we were a little disappointed in some of its features. We wanted the sensors to notify us when every door or window was opened and closed, and it only notifies us when something was opened. I know that was a big thing and I called the company, but they told me that our system doesn’t offer it. Other than that, having Link made it easier to just be at ease that our home is secured. One of the things that I really liked about Link Interactive was that the people that I dealt with, particularly the sales people, were not pushy at all. They were extremely helpful too. With the other companies I talked with, they were constantly trying to pressure me into going with one of their packages and I hate the high-pressure type sales so that was a big deal for me. Link Interactive should definitely continue this low pressure type of sales.
A lot of the other companies also seem to take care of the installation for you so the do-it-yourself thing that Link Interactive had going on stood out to me. It works for a person like me who's very technical but I can completely see that someone who's not technical would probably have a really tough time dealing with this type of company where you’re expected to do things yourself. Overall, everything was really positive and with this system, I have been able to check in on the status of things through the phone. I already had a security system before but Link Interactive's got some additional technology that makes things more convenient.

I had seen some good reviews on install-yourself kind of home security providers and Link Interactive was highly rated. I’ve been using it for at least a month now. It was easy to order everything online. When the system came to the house, I didn't have any service or installation date, besides their fees. And installing it was simple and I was to able figure it all out and handle everything on my own. It took me about half an hour to install it. Using Link Interactive changed our sense of security a lot. If somebody would come in at the door, at least I would hear it and be startled because I’m a sound sleeper. It was great.
We had an issue with our self-service and somebody immediately called me to let me know that my cell phone wasn't signaling. And this morning, I was on the phone with them because they're sending me a new sim card to switch me over. They think that would be better so that was good. The signal was alerting on our system and they already called to let me know they caught on that it was a cellphone error so it made me feel good to know that they're actually looking and really watching me. It definitely made me feel secure.

The reviews on Link Interactive were positive, plus, it seemed like the technology was current and gave us the options we wanted. I installed the system myself and it was, for the most part, easy. The instructions could've been a little bit more detailed as far as the placement of some of the sensors. Also, the videos that they reference are five years old, so some of the equipment that I received were the updated versions. The videos show them installing older equipment, but I figured it out. It wasn't rocket science.
I installed two of the glass break sensors in the basement using the double-sided tape they provided and recommended using for all the sensors. The tape didn't hold and the sensors became loose. It then created an issue where we were getting a lot of notifications. We were traveling at the time, so we had to coordinate with our pet sitter. We talked to them on the phone about trying to figure it out. Long story short, we fixed the issue once we got back home and I had to call Link Interactive to figure out what was going on.
We didn't have any trouble getting in touch with anybody. However, there was some confusion since they were unsure why the alarm was going off. It turned out it was just a malfunction of two of the sensors. It was frustrating that that scenario happened and there wasn't anything we could do about it, aside from cutting off the system. Other than that, we've had better peace of mind since we installed the system.

I installed the system myself and it was a little time-consuming trying to figure out where to put it within each window and door. But otherwise, the installation was fairly easy. The system came with some video instructions and I was also reading the paper so it didn’t take me longer. Plus, it's easier to get this system armed than my previous one. I went online and saw something that evaluated a lot of different alarm companies. It listed what they considered the top 10 where Vivint was number one, ADT was number 10 and Link was number two. I checked out all these other ones and I wasn’t happy with Vivint. My wife called them to check out the house and give us an estimate. But the guy told her that they want to come out and install the system, then we have to pay in advance, but we could always cancel if he shows up. I disliked that. As for ADT, we had them by default before and they offered great deals at $99 but it's for a wired system. Then they started being wireless and having video and I didn't like what I read about that.
So I went with Vivint and the fellow that I had was very congenial. He didn't push me or give me the hard sell and I really appreciated that. We had our security system installed last month. It was straightforward and easy. They sent the box with all the information on how to set up the unit and how to activate it. They already preactivated all of the sensors, which was very helpful, and the instructions were pretty good in terms of all the sensors. The downside was, they didn’t include any instructions on the control panel. So, I went online to alarm.com where they have all the instructions as PDF. I found out that there’s a lot of perks and things that the system can do that Link's reps didn’t tell me. For example, when I come into the house, it deactivates or turns off the alarm system automatically and I only found it up by reading the instructions online that goes with the control panel.
The system is better than what I expected, but they should’ve had an instruction book on how to do this and that with the control panel, how to match and connect it to the Bluetooth or explain that if I leave the house and I didn't turn on the alarm, it will give me a message that I didn’t turn on the alarm or automatically set it if someone else is not in the house that also has the Bluetooth connectivity with the control panel. Those are some very nice features that are really super and you don’t get that necessarily with ADT. You might with the new electronics, but you pay another 30% or 40% more for the higher line ADT system. Link Interactive would do itself a big favor if it would show in its advertising and when they actually give their client the product of what other features are available to make it even more user friendly, especially to millenials that love electronics.
When I activated my Link system, the rep who assisted me was very good and explained some things to me. I also called them once to find out about something and they answered my question at that time so that was satisfactory. I have an adult son, daughter-in-law and their child living with us right now so I haven’t activated the alarm at night, but it seems to be working okay.
I got the video doorbell and the one they use seems to be functioning quite well. My doorbell is on the wall 90 degrees to the door. It doesn’t face the street but faces to the side when someone rings it. The company that makes the doorbell sells wedges and you could put two together so you can angle that video doorbell more towards the street to get a better wider view of whosoever's coming up to your doorbell that might be trying to swipe your packages. And when I signed up, the gentleman from Link that I talked to did not know that they had wedges. I purchased those separately and it took a little bit to install but they're pretty handy at a door. All in all, Link's system has been very helpful and easy to use and it has been a very satisfactory experience.

I liked the price that I was quoted for Link and when I spoke to their representatives, they were very helpful in explaining to me the do-it-yourself system, what the details were and what the package was. It was a self-installation and the instructions for it were easy like placing the sensors and motion detector. The hardest part was installing the alarm but it had nothing to do with the equipment. There was something going on with the wiring of the original doorbell so I had somebody look into it and straighten it out. We then had the activation call and the Link reps were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
With the system, I can see everything and it’s so reassuring to know that I can see someone as they approach my door, and I can see the system as long as it’s on remotely. I’m happy with everything thus far, the equipment, the service and the price for the monitoring. If anyone was interested in a self-installation alarm system, I would definitely refer them to Link. I’m in my second month of using Link Interactive as my home security service provider. They have the latest technology, competitive pricing, and hands-off approach which essentially allows the consumer to choose what they want for their home. So instead of a five-year or six-year contract, they give options. And when you go through the sign-up process, they make the installation of your security system really simple. When you get it, everything’s already synced up with their panel so all you have to do is just place all of the sensors throughout the home, which takes some work. But at the same time, you’re saving quite a bit of money by doing it yourself instead of having a professional do it.
I was impressed with the team at Link Interactive. They were beta testing a new feature that if an alarm goes off, they’ll send a text message to anyone that’s on your list. When I signed up, I asked them when it's available because I'd love to join the beta team and try their new feature. They remembered and they reached out to me to tell that they would love to add it to my account. I really had a good experience with their customer service representatives. They were consummate professionals, and they were able to get back to me in a timely manner.
So far, my whole family likes the system because it's easy to use. Link is an innovative and dependable security system. We also got their higher-end panel, which really pleased everyone, especially with its Bluetooth Capacity and how the interface is. Although it's the same old thing to me, my wife really appreciates having their system. Link Interactive is going to have to watch to make sure they still maintain innovation and a competitive pricing. Google is tapping into the market, especially with their cameras and all of their other devices, and it’s going to be a huge market for them. It would be interesting to see how Link Interactive responds to the competition.

I did a website search and I liked the reviews and price point of Link Interactive. I've been using them for about a month now and so far, all the reps I interacted with were easy to deal with and gave quick responses. The installation was straightforward and easy for the most part. However, our doors were a little older so we had a bit more trouble fitting the equipment the right way. Then I had one sensor that was not configured properly. I interacted with their support team mainly through email and they were able to help me reprogram that one and enter the correct identifier for it.
The equipment is modern and good quality. Plus, the cost is very reasonable. We had an estimate from ADT at a previous house and their cost was definitely higher. I think it's also because there was the element of having professional installation being done. However, being able to do it yourself is nice and it helped to save a little bit in terms of equipment.
We set the alarm at night when we go to bed and when we leave the house. It's been easy to use and the control panel is nice. I have one sensor that tends to go offline sometimes which could be due to the layout of the house and the sensor is a little bit too far from the hub. When that one sensor goes offline, I have to go over and open the door then close it back up again for the sensor to register. There is another sensor that sometimes registers that the door is open even though it's not. I'm going to live with those sensors for a while and see if the issues start to occur more frequently before I reach out to Link Interactive.

I initially thought I was hooking up with the security provider I had in another state, but evidently, I called the wrong number and got Link Interactive instead. And I'm not pleased with them. I've left two messages for them and they never returned my phone calls. That leaves me with no confidence whatsoever that if I have an emergency or a situation where I need to get a hold of them that they would respond. It was 100% situation where they have not responded and that's not a good track record. One reason I called was because I was trying to buy something while the other time I was trying to make sure that I was all set up and it turned out that I wasn't. I was in a trial mode for over a month and didn't even know it.
The installation of the system went fine though. The only difficulty I had was with the motion camera so I called support and they were helpful. I have an awful fear of setting off the system but the alarm.com app is good. It works, it's reliable, and the notifications on it are good and timely. But it's extraordinarily confusing to know who I'm dealing with because alarm.com is not Link Interactive. Any equipment is with Link Interactive but I don't know if the call center is Link Interactive too so I don't know if there's a whole bunch of third parties that all contract with each other or what the situation is.

The first time we had them, the system was new to us so we decided to hire somebody to install it. The second time, we were more familiar with it so we decided to install it ourselves and it worked out okay. I've always found their team to be very helpful and very customer service-oriented. They've always been able to either answer my questions or get back to me as they need to. They also seemed flexible on how they support customers. For example, I moved my system to another house, then I bought a second system for a second house to be able to support those things.
Initially, I got the alarm system because we've had some incidents in the neighborhood and people were trying to break into our house. I was looking at other providers but compared to them, Link Interactive's models and contracts seem much more flexible and their prices were favorable. Since I got their system, I feel more comfortable and I can sleep better. I had an incident where I accidentally pressed the fire panic alarm and immediately, they contacted me. I was trying to figure out how to turn this thing off and the next thing I know the fire department was calling me and they're sending a fire truck. I had to tell them that it was human error but it was all really quick. I'm really happy with Link Interactive and they're meeting my expectations. I also try to recommend them to people as often as I see an opportunity.

We have been with Link Interactive for about two months. The installation itself was easy, but every time the device gets moved and no matter what happens, the battery gets disconnected which is very annoying. I had to find a better place to put the device but I ended up connecting the battery again and I could see how easy it got disconnected. It always goes on low battery too and makes some noise nonstop and even when I stop it, it makes noise a couple of hours later. I also requested them to send me a new device with a stronger battery connection but they weren’t willing to. They told me they still have to troubleshoot it and it’s the company policy. So, they helped me out with disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and they did a great job. But they need more feedback to make sure that everything is working properly.

Alarm.com supplies a lot of the equipment from Link Interactive. It’s actually with stock exchange which my son bought a year ago and made a lot of money with so we purchased Link Interactive. He was doing so well at the stock and I said, "It must be a good product." The online stuff where Link Interactive show all the equipment was nice and I bought a lot of it. The sales person was very nice but she could’ve been more knowledgeable.
Getting the system installed was more than I anticipated and I wish Link Interactive had installers. I've had Link Interactive for about two months. It took me a while to find an electrician to put up some of the stuff and I haven’t really activated the system. You need an electrician to put the cameras where they belong. Putting the window things up and the inside camera was pretty easy but the outside cameras are the difficult ones to set up. I wish there were some ideas on where to put the cameras, as to what level and what height it should be placed.
Also, I have to get my children involved to hook it up to the phone apps. I had the ring system installed and I was able to do that myself. But connecting the system to the phone app seems to be more complicated and it's not intuitive. I know we have a questionnaire and my children answered it but I haven’t looked it up because I work a lot of hours. It kept on saying that there’s no Bluetooth connection and I couldn’t find a place for the Bluetooth connection, neither can my relatives. We’re also still trying to figure out how to link up some of the devices like the thermostats. It would’ve been great if it was more like the ring system where you just put the cameras up there. Also, the control panel sticks out a little and the transformer has a wire hanging from it and it doesn’t look nice.

I've been using Link Interactive for two and a half weeks. I did a lot of research and their sales guy sold me on it. Installing it was easy and the instructions were self-explanatory. However, I’ve never received what I was told per se so I returned it and got another system. But, that one didn't pan out so I'm in the process of returning that as well. I'm not that satisfied with Link Interactive and they don't have what fits my needs. I talked with someone and realized they simply don't have a solution for me. They would have asked me to spend hundreds and more dollars for getting the right plans and I'm not willing to do that.
Also, I don't feel that their responsiveness is very good. I accidentally tripped my alarm one day and I didn't realize it's gone off until five minutes after. I disarmed it but I never got a call from them, which troubled me because if somebody broke in my house and I had that kind of alarm system then that would've been the end of it. What am I paying my alarm service for if they're not going to protect me? I was going to make things work until that happened. It was a difficult experience. There were pros and cons. Some people I worked with were great and others not so great. However, their customer service was good for the most part.

I opted for Link because of the price and it's my first month with them. The installation was pretty easy and I was done in half an hour. The boxes came in with detailed instructions that were self-explanatory and most of the equipment were stick-on and only the motion detector needed to be screwed into the wall. All of the equipment were included and I was able to place them easily. Since I already had some equipment in the house, those were used which saved me a lot of money. And when a component in one of my preexisting equipment was not working, the part was overnight-shipped for me without any cost. I really liked those about Link Interactive.
After I installed the system, I called Link for activation which was necessary. I talked to Hannah the most and everything was great. She was very calm and organized. For the most part, there was not much for me to do, but Hannah made sure that everything was taken care of before she hung up on the call. I was out of the country for a couple of weeks but with Link Interactive, I was a little more assured that nothing was going to happen while I was gone. It was an excellent experience.

I emailed every security agency and got the best one with balanced price and services. Link Interactive treated me well over the phone and I went to a solution with them. Installing the system wasn’t difficult and I installed it better than most of the people who work for this. When I put in the motion sensors, I decided the level of sensitivity then I positioned them to check that they're working and there are no blind spots. Having the Link Interactive security system is better and I definitely it. It's a convenient way of handling everything through a smartphone and if somebody destroyed the control center, the alarm will not be disabled.

But the people from Link were very patient. They hadn't run across set-ups exactly the way mine was set up. We were doing an integration of the existing system sensors into the wireless panel. We had some issue they haven't seen before, but they stayed with it and got it figured out. I like the online connectivity with my smartphone, and I'm happy with them.

Link Interactive was able to accommodate my needs, give me a good value for the price and work in the remote area where I'm at. From talking to the people, they also seemed to have their act together. The installation was a little harder than I thought and I thought it would take a couple of hours before it was fixed to really understand it but I was able to get everything up and running. The actual installation of the sensors was so good but I ran into a couple of issues where one sensor had to be reset. I could not do that without their help but I was installing it on a Sunday and their customer service lines were not open at all so it was very frustrating. But apart from that, I've asked how to monitor or change things a couple of times after the setup and they’ve always been very helpful and able to resolve my issue right away.
I like the system for the energy efficiency since I can turn down the thermostat during the day and bring it back up. It's very nice to have that comfort. My phone app is fantastic too and I love that. But with the web link, you go to Alarm.com then get into Link and that’s a little confusing. It would be nice to have it directly into Link Interactive. That aside, I've had the system since August and I like how everything is performing. My primary residence has an all-wired ADT system right now and I’m going to go on and have Link redo that too.

I did my own research online and it was the versatility and broad spectrum of what Link Interactive covered for a reasonable monthly price that made me go with them. I installed it myself and it was fairly easy. I already had a system installed in my home so I had all the equipment. I just had to reconnect it to my new Go! Control box. So I did my own YouTube video search on how to connect each device I had to the panel and the videos that I watched were really easy to follow.
But I had trouble with the thermostat. I had to mess with that for quite a while and I had to push a whole bunch of different buttons on the thermostat panel to find the connection. But all the other ones were easily done on the first try with no issues. The team at Link Interactive was really great and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and very easy to get a hold of. I’ve been using them for about two months now and it's been a great experience so far. The way my system’s set up right now with Link is identical to the way I had it set up before which was my goal. I just wanted to change monitoring services and I took it upon myself to figure it out on my own.

We’ve had Link Interactive for business for three months now. The system was wired and we made into wireless. They directed me and I did it. Their team has been okay, but one time the main device was broke and they said I’ll have to pay the price of a new one. It was then less than two months and so I told them I was sure it comes with one year minimum or even 90 days warranty. I was in a big argument and finally they sent it free. And so everything is okay. I just don't know if their device is of a good quality or not. Within two months, it's broke. But the guy fixed up everything and we are getting customer care.

The sales portion was great although we had a couple of hiccups at the beginning. When we were installing it, the sensors weren’t reading properly and they were going to overnight me some stuff, but they didn’t and we had to go to the store and get the materials to make the sensors raise up properly. When I talked to a manager about the issue, she was really helpful. But Link Interactive could improve their communication because it didn't sound like they train their frontline customer service employees to be sensitive to people’s concerns. I was also supposed to get credited for that but it doesn’t appear that they have accredited me for that. The billing thing is ridiculous too. They didn’t send me a bill but I got an e-mail from them saying that it was past due, even though I had credit on my account.
Link Interactive is the most economical choice but while the process of getting setup with the service was relatively easy, the installation was not easy and quite time-consuming. For that reason, I would recommend others to choose a company that either offers professional installation or has slightly less complicated equipment that is easier for an average person to set up. But ultimately, I’m satisfied with Link Interactive.

As for the installation, some of the stuff for the basic system like the window sensors were very easy. But when you start getting to the higher end services that they offer like cameras, garage door openers, they're not plug and play as I'd like but they walk you through it very easily.
Also, they resolve the issues even if it is a one-time issue due to my own fault. I had a billing issue, they changed banks. It took a little while, but we resolved it. I've never had something that was not resolved. I've even had a problem where a board went bad in my receiver. They walked me through stuff and sent me one out the next day. Since I’m a Costco member, Link Interactive is one of the options I reviewed, and they’re part of the Costco package. I've had Link Interactive for two years now. We went with them due to its self-installation and their price was within competitive range. Also, their service was referred as excellent in reviews, and it truly is. Since it was only pre-wired, we had to have a professional electrician arrange the wires before the box could be installed. So we had an extra step before the common installation as we didn’t even have a box. Once that was completed, we did the rest ourselves and that was fairly easy. We had to figure out what’s supposed to go where and how to connect the pieces, but the work was good.
The customer service was excellent and they were always very responsive. There was one time in our whole two years that they had periodic coverage outages for an hour and they provided credit for those days. They did what they should’ve done. The Link Interactive security system gives comfort, especially knowing the robbery crimes statistics in Las Vegas, where we are. I love the option that the system gives us a choice to be away from home and that there's an in-house security on the application. We are in a two-story home so it was recommended that if we’re on the second floor, sleeping, to still have our security option on at which the stay-in option works great for that. So far, we're happy with the system and I would recommend them to others. They are a great company, they listen to their clients, provide good service and responds fast.

The installation went fairly smoothly. However, some of the information that the representative told me was incorrect. I ended up getting a different panel because the other provider couldn’t get out of my house, but they told me that it was just a matter of switching it out and reprogramming all over again. I loved the service, but the installation was more difficult than what I anticipated. I also ordered a camera and needed them to help me program all of the sensors, but they sent the wrong sensor. For the most part, their reps knew what they're doing but once in a while, they weren't really sure. It was different compared to when I bought it through Costco, where they were all very knowledgeable and everything was always accurate when I called.
On the other hand, Link Interactive gave me a sense of security that I couldn't get from anything else since I live alone now. We actually had an alarm go off one night at the other house and I like that fact that they could listen in and talk to me while the alarm was going off. So, I could announce myself and if they didn't get a response, they would demand one or they would call the police, and they were very firm when they did that. I also sensed that somebody was there listening in and watching.

Plus, it was too expensive. I wanted something better and I started looking up. I heard about self systems, found a lot of options, and realized I could build my own because I know how to do some of those stuff. I liked the whole alarm.com integration that Link Interactive had and I started researching that. I figured they had a pretty competitive package. They were the only ones who were able to sell me both a GC3-based system and a Honeywell-based system, and they had options for either. That kind of flexibility was important to me when I was making a decision. So, ultimately, I ended up choosing them. They had a pretty low, no commitment package as well.

There were no glitches and things started connecting the very first attempt. And it's been great. I did not see a single mistake with the configuration. I wanted them to name each of the component that they wanted to put on there. They named it perfectly. In fact, because I installed it a month or two later from when I put the order, I didn't remember what all I had told them but they had it all down. Everything was labeled exactly the way I wanted it. It was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Every time I ask them for a quote or set of applications, they would send me an email of what's exactly what I asked for. So, it was very prompt.
I'm pretty happy with what I've setup so far. It's hooked up to almost everything that I have at home, so I don't need to carry keys around anymore. I don't need to worry about leaving the house unlocked. I have all of that on my phone, so I can just look it up. If I forgot to lock it, I could lock it. I can set it up to lock when I walk out of the house with my phone. I still haven't automated the whole house and that's something I'm working on. The good thing about this system is you can do that. And that was another reason why I wanted a system that was customizeable, which Link Interactive able to provide.
However, the website is kind of hard in terms of telling you how to contact these guys for the first time. There are other websites where you can go pick and choose components on their site, and they have a number on how to reach out and a whole package that you can buy. For Link Interactive, I had to call a number, wait for them to call me back and then tell the rep what I wanted. But if I can do away with the human interaction, why not? It took me a lot longer to buy the system because there was human interaction more than if I had just gone to an a la cart page, picked stuff up, put it into a cart and ordered it.

I was looking for a cautious alarm system and Link Interactive is one of the few distributors that is an alarm company as well as a reseller. I installed the system myself to get it activated and Link Interactive is the easiest system I’ve ever installed. I used to install alarm systems from DSC, Simply Smart Home and all the major manufacturers that are out there. You simply mount the sensors, whether you’re using a double-sided tape or in the case of a motion detector, you’re just screwing it into the corner on a wall. That’s all that’s necessary and then you connect the panel to power and it’s ready to go. I didn’t need to do anything other than make a phone call to tell them that the unit has been installed.
I was with a company called Alarm Relay and one major difference between them is that my Alarm Relay experience required me to go through a lengthy programming process, where I contacted them to set up an appointment that was scheduled three days out from the initial contact. Then, I spent about an hour on the phone to get the system programmed. With the Link Interactive approach, the system arrived pre-programmed so once everything was installed, I called Link to say the alarm system was installed and they put it into a 24-hour testing period, and it went live immediately after that. Link Interactive's customer service has also been superb. They are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very fluid. The person whom I dealt with knew what they were talking about and was able to advise me on questions that I had. I felt like I was talking to a professional.

I’ve used Link Interactive since 2010 and I recommended them to multiple people. I initially chose them because of their price, but I really stuck with them for their great customer service. I don’t even care what the price is anymore, as long it's within reason. When I had issues, I called them and they walked me right through the issue. They stayed on the phone with me and worked through it. Then, when I had some compatibility issues with one of my cameras that I didn’t even buy from them, they sent me a temporary camera while the issue was being fixed. Everything was also easy to install.

The response from Andrea, my sales rep, was quick. I was able to get all the answers. That’s one of the reasons I had Link Interactive. Installing the sensors was easy but I'm still struggling with the motion sensor. Andrea and the technical team know as they’ve been working with me since the last four weeks up until today. The motion sensor is supposed to cover certain range and area. And from my findings, it does not trigger the alarm all the time. So, if I did my planning based on the information provided earlier, then my house would have been exposed. The number of motions sensors which I was planning to put in would not cover the area which I was planning to cover.
Their customer service has changed the sensors the second time. There had been sensors from different companies with different model but it was the same behavior so I might end up doubling the motion sensors in my house which might be the solution as long as Link Interactive is not doubling their cost and I'm not paying anything extra for the extra sensors. It would be good if they can do real-time testing before Sunday. I've spent so many hours with them over the phone to get this sensor working and that was just not working for me. I wasn't expecting to be on-call with Link for such a long period and it has been a bad experience. Other than that, they are responsive. They come back to me especially the service people.

It's been a good experience with Link Interactive. I liked their features and the price was right. The customer service is great too. The installation was pretty straightforward, but since it was my first security system, it was a little confusing. I was not sure how to test the detectors and glass break. I still don't know if that is broken directly or not. But once everything was done, I called customer service to make sure that everything was set up correctly and if they would be able to detect the motion detectors.
So far, I'm happy with the way things are going. It’s very easy to manage the system. There was one time though that the alarm went on and when we put in the password, it would go off, but then, the alarm would go on again. We found out that my daughter was just pressing the alarm. I called Link Interactive and it seemed that they didn't receive that alarm. My understanding was to call the security folks automatically because the alarm went on. I wasn’t sure why they didn’t respond.

I've been with Link Interactive for at least three years now. I got their services because they were an Alarm.com company and Costco recommended them. Their pricing model is fair and it's nice that I got a connected dead bolt for the house so if somebody needs to come by my house to pick up something, I can conveniently unlock the house from my phone. I also like that they’re based in the US because many of their competitors outsource to call centers outside the US. They've always been responsive and I’ve been much happier with them than other providers, such as ADT.
I have Link Interactive's system set up in five different location so I get calls from their team regularly, which are usually alarm-related, such as if somebody set off an alarm, if I have a low battery or if I have a bad sensor. If they saw some behavior that looks suspicious, they’ll call me to confirm my passcode and ask me if I wanted a dispatch. There was one incident where somebody activated the alarm and broke into the house. The alarm went off and cops got there on time and nearly caught the guy.

But my son is not here so I called them yesterday because I wanted help. The Link Interactive rep on the phone gave me good ideas to get on and set up the cameras. She was a really nice person. I got one on the driveway set up and one on the side view. The one on the side view won't stay in green and it was getting red and blue. Sometimes white, red, white, red. It stayed white yesterday blinking. I've reset it for about six times but it never got on. By that time, it was already 10 O'clock so I was ready to go to sleep. I'm happy with Link Interactive but I just got to figure out my problem.
With the security system in place, I feel less worried because I've been catching people and I've been reporting them to the police. I actually found one guy and I reported it to the policemen.
