We were moving to a new property and I did some research before settling on Link Interactive. They came in best as far as quality of service, quality of customer service and price. However, the installation experience was not super straightforward and I made a couple of calls to gain assistance. Their reps helped me identify the problem. I sent them photos of my situation and they got back to me shortly over email suggesting some solutions. I also had to order a couple of additional sensors in my original order because it wasn’t a standard install. It took me a little bit to figure everything out but once I got the hang of it, it went pretty smoothly. It is a little bit easier to use overall and I like its digital aspects of being able to control the system from my phone. We have the mid-tier package and we're contented with what we have right now. I would recommend Link Interactive.

I just moved so I decided to purchase a home security system. While I had a different security system prior to using Link, they are similar in nature. But I was able to use the wireless with Link Interactive and that was the deciding factor. The Link reps are very attentive and they have great customer service. I called them when I received my equipment and it was a very easy installation. I'm a tech-savvy person too, so I didn't need a lot of assistance. The instructions were detailed enough. I went to the YouTube video, but I called because it missed the stuff on the YouTube video. The young lady was able to send me a picture via email and I sent her a picture. For someone like me that doesn't like talking on the phone, I prefer email and text messages and it was very convenient.
I customized the home security system to my needs and I got everything that I wanted to add. I have the cameras, doorbell camera, and the sensors. I like the smartphone features very much too. I can see who's ringing the doorbell when I'm not there. Everything is working fine, although I was concerned with the sensors. I didn't realize how those sensors work because every time I've had an alarm system, a tech came out and installed it, so I don't get to handle that equipment. When I got it out of the package, I was relieved and once I installed it, it worked fine. It served its purpose. I have a teenage daughter and she's home alone. Now, I feel a little better about her being there since we've had Link installed. Overall, I'm glad I didn't spend thousands of bucks. I've also recommended Link Interactive to a couple folks and I don't normally put recommendations out there unless I like it.

You deserve the best and we are happy to give you just that! Thanks for being a part of our family and please let us know if there is anything we can ever do for you in the future

I've had Link for eight years as my home security system and I just renewed with them. I shopped around but I still went with Link since they were able to lower the price. Their sales reps and I emailed back and forth. We came up with a price and then signed the contract. I installed the system myself. Before they were Link, they were some other company so I've had the equipment for quite a while. It was like DIY and the instructions given with the equipment were fine. I customized my package as it is a general security. I got the smoke detectors, the sensor for the gate since I got a dog and the regular sensors. The system always always works.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and for being a customer for 8 years. Please let us know if you ever need anything.

I was moving into my first apartment and was looking for something to make me feel more secure since I was living on my own. I looked at Link Interactive’s technicalities and it seemed like a better fit for myself. Also, their sales rep was wonderful. He worked with me and was very patient when I gathered all my information. Meanwhile, the installation instructions were simple. We got the standard package that includes a couple of sensors When I called to ask for assistance, their team was able to answer right away.
The app is perfect and having it on my phone is an amazing feature for me. Since having the Link system, I've been sleeping easier. I know it's gonna go off immediately if it's triggered or if the door opens and I have it armed. If the passcode I typed is a little different than what it is, they’ll alarm the police for me. In sum, they had a great system in place that makes me feel good. I'm extremely satisfied with Link and the cost is amazing. They really came through with the wins.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly and you are enjoying the app. Please let us know if you ever need anything

I was looking for a home security system company that was more helpful to its customers. I had ADT for 30 years and so far, Link Interactive is head and shoulders above them. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable abut the product and how to use it. He talked to me about problems I was having with my existing system and he was able to problem solve those issues with the Link's system. I got more information from him in the 20 minutes I've talked to him than I did at ADT over the last five years. The system works perfectly and we haven't had any problems with it. The installation people were helpful and responsive to questions that I had for them. It was extremely easy to install, seems well-designed and I love it. I'm still starting to learn my system and at the moment, I've been able to do everything I need to do.

We've put a Link Interactive system in our summer home in Wisconsin a couple of years ago and we’re quite happy with it. The experience has been very easy. Although that was a rush job where we were getting ready to leave Wisconsin and we had about a week to do the installation, it went very well. Because of that, I chose them when I replaced the system in our Arizona home. Our experience with the sales and customer service reps have been fine. We have contacted sales first then we had a couple of questions. During the installation, we've made two calls just for a couple minor details.
We went with a general package for our Arizona home and got a smart thermostat added to it. With the one in Wisconsin, we did a little more customization where we added a few items that weren’t in the package such as motion sensors. Since we've had Link Interactive, it's much easier to monitor. We have both of the systems on the same app on the phone, so both the systems can be checked at the same time just as easily. Then, if we forget to arm the system, we can arm it through the app or arm it when we leave the house, which is nice. So if we’re 10 miles from home, we’d say, “Okay, we can disarm the alarm.” What's also really nice is that we can always have the neighbor come in. The neighbors got their own code and then it takes a picture. The freeze alarm is really great as well especially here in Wisconsin where it gets quite chilly.
The only issue we had with their equipment was when we had the system in Arizona installed. The motion detector with the Link system doesn’t have as good coverage as the previous one which was a GE. So, we may have to add another motion detector to cover the whole area. Other than that, we would recommend Link to a friend. We’re also looking forward to doing something with camera surveillance in one or both places within the next year or two, and that would be the nicest thing.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I was gonna be away from the house for a while so I needed a security system. I checked out Link Interactive their price was good, plus there was the equipment and availability of being able to do it month-to-month. The sales department was very helpful and not pushy. The installation was pretty straightforward, though I had to call a couple of times since the written information they gave wasn’t very clear. Also, the audible alarm is really weak. They describe it as ear shattering, but it's really not that loud. I don’t even know if my neighbors will hear it if the doors were closed. They also don’t have support on the weekend. But their emails have gotten back to me pretty quick and they've followed up on stuff so that was good.

Thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate your business and wanted to let you know that we are open on Saturday and we do have On-Call Tech support for after hours like Sunday. Thanks for being a customer!

The previous company I had kept going up in price and my daughter recommended Link Interactive. She was very happy with it. The sales rep was awesome. He was very patient with me, walked me through the different options that I had and worked with me on getting the best deal for the money. Installing the system was a little more difficult, but it’s just because of the age of the system that there was a part that was sent that was defective and they replaced it right away. They overnighted the part and we got the system going right after that.
I have an old system. It just happened that the age of the motherboard on the system just fell on the year that was the dividing time for being compatible with the Link Interactive System and because of that there had to be some reprogramming done. If I were to have a newer system installed at the house it would’ve been easier. But in overall, they walked me through the steps and maybe it took about an hour. And that was not just because of the company, it was because of my old system, so I can’t blame the company for that. I’m very satisfied. We went through about everything that the company offers and I just selected what benefited me the most. Their equipments have been excellent so far and the cost is competitive.

In terms of research, their cost was standard and comparable to their competitors. I would recommend them.

My previous home security provider didn’t want to lower my payment because my equipment was already paid off when the contract expired. So I looked around and Link Interactive was the cheapest and all they had to do was monitor the system I already had. I contacted them through chat and then somebody called me right away. They were very polite and helpful, and they got me hooked up. They were the only company that I found that I needed an update on my keypad, so they walked me through how to disconnect it from my wall. They sent me a shipping label and I sent it to them. Then they updated the software on it and sent it back to me for free.
Link also has this doorbell camera. But when we had an incident where somebody tried to open the front door and my girls were at home by themselves, I wanted to get something right away. So we got this other doorbell camera and connected it to our front door. Other than that, Link has been great. We’ve been with them for two months and their cost is perfect for the quality of protection we receive. I would tell friends to go with them.

I’ve been with one home security company for 29 years until I came across Link Interactive four years ago. The pricing was better with Link and it gave me the same thing that I had with the other system. Customer service with Link was also 1,000% better in communicating. During the installation process, I had a hard time. I had previous equipment like my door lock and damage sensors from the other company and we had to deactivate those. When Link sent me the key panel, their customer service reps were very patient with because I’m not an electronic person. They worked with me and didn’t give up no matter how many times I called them back and said that the key panel was not working and reading. It wasn't connected there at first and they were there on the line with me for over an hour until we got it done and finally got it connected.
The features offered in my system is also a little bit better than the other company I had. I also recommend Alarm.com. The Link Interactive system in Alarm.com app is the best thing that could have happened with these alarm companies. It's the best service provider out there. Its cost is good and the monthly service that I’m getting with them for the same equipment that I had with the other company is 1,000% better. I would recommend them to a lot of people, and I told my family not to go with all these other companies if urgency gathers because everybody has the same equipment. It just has their name on it but they’ll get the same thing with Link.
My daughter is having a house built and she was told that it's supposed to be ready in November. I told her before she moves into that house, we’ll gonna call Link and have them connect their equipment and everything that she needs. They like my service. They can enter my house and I get an alert about the person who enters. My daughter is a nurse and works crazy hours. I’m definitely gonna make sure she has Link before she moves into that house. I'm enjoying being with Link. I am very satisfied with their system and I wish I had connected with them back then.

My wife and I are senior citizens, and we live in the country. We felt that a home security system would give us some added benefit of feeling a little bit protected. I had contacted several companies and I talked to a gentleman with Link that was very informative and kind of low-key, but knew what he was talking about. We had him on the speakerphone, we were driving down the road and we both have a high degree of confidence in him.
It was a DIY installation with Link so there was a little uncertainty that goes with that when you're capable of doing that kind of work, but just not knowing exactly what you're getting into but everything was very easy to do. They have good features. There's a lot of competitors in that marketplace so it's kinda hard to figure everything out but theirs is competitive and fairly up-to-date with technology. It you're looking for a system, this is a good way to go.

The houses that I bought in the past always had an alarm system and all I needed for them was a monitoring service. Since I moved into a new house, I thought I needed to purchase a security system. This time around, it was just prewired and I had to do some research to determine what I wanted to do. After researching, I went through Link Interactive and it’s my first time to go with them. So far, the system seems to be working okay and overall, their customer service has been very good. My interaction with their representatives started with the potential sale transaction and from there, it led to getting the equipment and having it installed.
The installation process was a little more complicated and took more time than others as I’m using a combination of wired and wireless. But the support I got was really good to get the system working and the installers explained things properly. The features of the system have been good from what I’ve seen but I need to take some more time and figure all of it out. I also needed to download the Link Interactive smartphone app because I’m doing some travelling. The cost of the system is good compared to the service quality I received, though I need to explore the additional features and functionality of the system to also appreciate the value. And based on what other companies offer, Link is a bit better in terms of pricing.
In a traditional home security systems, you have your keypad on the wall, but with the one I have with Link Interactive, I’m gonna have to figure out if I want it to be on the wall. So with Link, I have more flexibility in terms of where I can put it. But if I wanna have it wall mounted, it’s not as easy because if the system is not constantly plugged in, the battery can only last so long. Also, if I have a prewired system and if there’s a wire for the controller, I want to ask the tech if the system be connected to that wire. Because I know the system that I have comes with its own wire because it’s wireless.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy to hear you got the help you needed!

We did some research and we picked Link Interactive. They had good reviews and good prices monthly. Also, their sales reps and the customer reps have been outstanding. I have no qualms about them. They call me and email me back. I'm none but pleased with Link Interactive. The installation was easy, as well. I had some problems with the motion sensors though. It was only within 30 feet that the sensors work so they weren't giving enough coverage. AT&T gives longer distance coverage than what Link Interactive does.
But all the features are great, outstanding and easy to use. The voice command has been great to know and to have, and I'd love to see what they told me about my door when opened longer than two minutes. My wife is happy with the system and she’s very secure with it. When I'm gone, she uses it more than anything and she loves it.

This is such great feedback. We are thrilled to hear you and your wife are enjoying your system.

I didn’t know much about my new neighborhood and I was living with my girlfriend. It was nice to have a home security system just in case something happens. I looked around in the brands itself so I can get in the score of different companies and some of them tried to pressure me to purchase something and a lot of them tried to keep me in a contract for long years. They did not give me specifics that somebody would like to have. Link Interactive was in the middle of everything and I had a great customer service.
The other companies wanted to schedule an appointment over here. ADT said that they don’t charge for an installation, but I had to hold a deposit with them. That was fine, but the person always tried to sell. And when I was trying to call ADT to cancel, it was so much hassle to find the appointment and nobody could know what to do. They also only had a three-year contract and I didn’t wanna do a three-year contract with them and buy equipment that I didn’t wanna buy. With Link Interactive, I can call customer service and they would help me out way more than the other companies. I'm glad that I wasn’t with ADT.
Also, I asked a couple of questions to the customer service rep and even if she didn’t know the answers, she went to talk with the manager to answer the question. That’s something very important too for business. If you don’t know something, you don’t wanna give misinformation to your customer. Also, the reps never tried to sell me anything, so that was something nice as well. They offered me something and she told me to call back and see if I wanted something later. That was nice because it was not just about the promotion but also be able to choose whenever you feel that you're ready as a customer.
Furthermore, Link Interactive's installation process was straightforward and simple. Their system came pre-configured at a certain level, so it made it easy for the installation. It was self-explanatory to go over there and make sure everything was okay. Also, the features in my system are great. However, the only issue is that we can disarm the alarm with the phone ring by the Bluetooth, but, a lot of times if we're leaving the house or the area, in 30 or 60 seconds, it overrides the alarm and I arm the alarm for homestay inside. It’s a little bug over there. Even if my phone is connected, it shouldn’t disconnect it, so, a lot of times, I have connected the phone later.
Additionally, I would like to see later on an integration of the Apple HomeKit. It's great to have their support and I tried using My Amazon, which is nice. I can tell them to set my alarm through the computer through the remote, which is nice. It will be nice to have the Apple feature for that device especially because it's a very techy device that connects everything. It shouldn’t be that hard to implement the module and I would pay more to put an extra device just to have the Apple HomeKit.
It would also be nice to have a test function where I could let the alarm go off and see if it actually sends in the signal. There is a test mode for the sensors itself, but it would be nice to have a test mode where I can see what happens if I go outside my house and I open the door and don’t put the alarm. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend Link to a friend. It's very DIY like a series where it's installed on their own and they can learn themselves. It's not that hard to install even for a non-techy person.

Thanks for your feedback. We are always expanding what we offer so we will be sure to let you know.

We go away sometimes and we just wanted to be able to know if someone was going in and out of our house. We had a scare. There was one time we thought somebody had been in the house but it was actually just the wind that caught the storm door. So we went ahead and invested in a home security system and we chose Link Interactive because that’s what the previous owners had. The equipment was here and we had turned it on. We had used ADT before but I love Link Interactive better. There are a lot of options that you can change from what I had on my security system from 2003 with ADT, and I am able to check from my phone and computer and it's sending me messages whenever things happen so I can control the level of alertness. I like the features a lot. I'm kind of new to all these smart features but these give us peace of mind that our home is safe when we're away.
The reps were very kind, patient and answered all my questions. They were also not pushy at all. Also, the installation went easy. Since I already had the equipment, I just had to give the TID numbers to the lady on the line and she was able to put them in and then activated the system. We also did the connectivity test and it was done. There was only one feature that I didn’t like and that’s it will arm even if there's something open. With ADT, you cannot arm the system unless everything was closed. Nevertheless, since having the system, we feel safer when we would go away on trips.

We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your system and that it is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve! Thanks for all your feedback and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever have any questions.

Link Interactive was the only one that was able to accommodate all the equipment I needed for my family’s protection. I told them what my budget would be and they went through everything with me. They sent me my own estimate on everything I wanted, how much the service would cost and how to get it done. And any time I had a question after purchasing, I’d call them up and they were right there walking me through everything.
They were really knowledgeable and when I had a question and a representative wasn’t sure, she asked me to hold on and she came back with an answer. There was also one day when she said she was going to call me back and she sent me an email saying that she wouldn’t be there that day, but she was going to get someone else to get in touch with me. And they called me up and it was really great. Installing the cameras and everything went fairly easy too. The panel that I had was a little confusing, but I kept calling them or had them online to walk me through it. And after navigating through it I became familiar with everything and it was easy after that.
I have 10 windows and two doors, and I want the same type of alarm set up on each one of them and all to be wireless, and I was able to do that. However, the video cameras could’ve been a little bit cheaper. Also, their doorbell for the front door is not wifi or battery operated and it has to be plugged in. There’s also one feature that they don’t have ready yet, and I’m hoping they get on board -- it's the home panel screen. I wanna be able to look at the video cameras right on the panel itself in addition to getting it through my phone and a home computer. But the cameras are very good HD quality. Overall, it has been a great experience. Link Interactive will be able to help people who need to customize their own system and the customer service makes up for the difference in the cost. And then if they want to do a monitoring I would suggest they do a two or a three-year term because the price goes down.

We have installed a security system in every house we've owned since our first one. A year after we bought the house, we were robbed, so we installed a security system. We had actual experience with the burglary and I decided that I was gonna put a security system in every house from then on. The previous two that I used were through ADT and this new one from Link Interactive is definitely more high-tech. It's got the motion camera which none of my previous ones had. We lived for 18 years in the last house and I had the same security system in that house for 18 years. It was a big technological jump when we moved to this house when I installed the Link Interactive system.
I've used the customer service a couple of times. The first one, after I did my research and decided that Link Interactive was the company I wanted to go with, was very helpful both in terms of the sales aspect and when I got to the point of doing the installation. I had a couple of questions and they helped me out there very well. And then one time, we went away for a few hours and I turned on the system, and our dog walked through that and set it off. That was a good validation that the system worked. And instead of calling the police right away, Link Interactive immediately called my cell phone and I said that it was the dog. They checked with me and I told them to override it for the meantime. They were very prompt about contacting me, so I've been very happy with the customer service.
The equipment was simple to install. I'm handy around the house, but someone even much less handicraft than me would be able to install it. The past systems that we had were all installed by a company like ADT. They came and installed it, so this was my first experience with a self-installation and I found that it was really not that difficult. There's a website that I can log in to and I am able to see that the camera is functioning because I was able to see pictures of my living room and kitchen area that were taken from that camera.
I like the technological aspect in terms of the system that if we lose electricity, it still can work with the cellular instead of using the internet communication for the system. It's got that backup aspect to it in terms of the cellular network and the things have battery backup. It has the tamper sensitivity so that if a burglar breaks in and starts bashing on the sensors, that gets reported too. I like that if the customer service senses an alert on the system, they’ll call me or my wife on our cell phones.
I value the higher technology aspects the most. For the combination of cost, ease of installation, and the level of capability that’s offered, I'd highly recommend Link Interactive to my friends. Having the security system has changed my sense of security a bit. Now, I have the camera and the sticker on the window and I hope it’s a deterrent itself, but if they break in and set the system off, they're gonna get a picture of themselves and I'll be able to retrieve that and give that to the police. It gives me a higher level of sense of, “Hey, if someone ever did break in, we're gonna catch them.”

Thank you for your recommendation and for sharing your experience with us!

I thought installation was gonna be hard since it was a self-installation, but it was pretty easy. The instructions were clear. I got the door sensors and motion detectors. There was something like an extra offer where I could’ve added features but I just told them what I need and they gave it to me. So far it’s working to whatever we expected, so let’s hope it stays like that. I recommend them. So definitely get it.

Going with Link Interactive was easier. When I called and asked questions, the experience was what everybody said it would be. There wasn’t a whole bunch of hooplas, promising the world and not delivering. It was straight up and the guy I talked to was fantastic. He was super friendly and very understanding. I asked about 7,000 questions and he never seemed to get impatient. Speaking with him helped me figure exactly what I needed and didn’t need.
Installing the system was easy too. Although some people would have a little bit of a hard time with some of the instructions, I hadn't really needed a whole lot of help until now. I've noticed now the high and low of the panel doesn't show. But that aside, the equipment has been fine so far and I like it. Most of the stuff, like the sensors, are similar to everything else. But I like the panel a lot more than some of the others' because you don't have to necessarily cut a hole in your wall. That was a bonus.
I also like the features, especially having the thermostat and the door lock keys that you can control to make sure things are as they should be when you're not at home. And the app works really well. The smartphone features are simple and cut-and-dried. It's easy enough for my techie kids. We had looked into ADT and they wanted to offer key panels. But my children can't figure out how to use a keypad to get in my garage. They need a touch screen. So with the features of the Link Interactive system, it works really well. Plus my kids can use their phone, which is 10 times better because they really know how to use that very well.
The cost is also a good match for the quality of the system. I wish there were a few more smart home options though. There was also only one camera for outdoors and I didn’t care for that one so I would like to see more variety, at least two or three to choose from. Nonetheless, I feel better about leaving the kids at home now. They're not little by any means but they don't really remember to lock the door or check the garage. But now, I can check it from my phone and it gives me more peace of mind that they're locking up when I'm not there. We had Vivint for a couple of days and in that time, they lost all my trust. The people were terrible and the equipment was not functioning. In comparison, I would tell anybody to go with Link Interactive over Vivint or ADT in a heartbeat.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I purchased a home security system for my new business and our house. We installed the Link Interactive system and it was easy. I like the features offered in the system but we had some issues with the panic buttons. Their reps walked us through it when we called and it was ready to go. Their reps were great and helped me out a lot. But I think they're double billing me because they're charging me $57 for the business and $25 for the home and I was supposed to get a better deal than that.

Thanks for your feedback. Please give us a call and we are happy to look over your billing.

I got tired of ADT and the landline, and I wanted a cell-based system. I went with Link Interactive as I felt their customer service was outstanding. They didn't hard sell, but they were very informative and were responsive to my needs. I move slowly and I don't make decisions and do the installation quickly. But they were never pushy, and when I asked stupid questions 10 times, they were always friendly, helpful and patient. They do it happily and easily. In a customer service-based industry, that's what they should do.
They either talked through on the phone with me for the installation of every unit and getting it set up, or they emailed me very detailed information so that I could try to walk through it my own. And once I knew how to do it, it was very easy. The quality of their equipment is great and it's a vast improvement over ADT. Also, their cost is perfect and worth it. And I was very specific about what I wanted, and they gave it to me. I've already recommended Link Interactive to other people since it allows cell-based, and I can modify it later. We may add cameras, and they've already sent me information about that. So, when I'm ready, I can do that as well.

Glad to see you got all the help you needed, and please let us know if you ever need anything else!

Setting Link Interactive's system up was easier than I thought. They came with our smart home and so it ties up better with our system as compared to other systems. The box sat there for two weeks and I didn't touch it because it looked intimidating, but once I called them and started setting up, it wasn’t bad. There were some extra pieces in the box that I didn’t understand that I paid for, but they informed me that I didn’t need them. Then, we've had a little issue because I couldn’t get one of the sensors to work so they got me back on track from the beginning until we got it all set up, tested out the system and made sure everything worked okay. I was able to add a video camera to my package but we are thinking of sending it back because I can't hear anything on it, which I didn't like.
But overall, the system works very well and I like it. In the day it tells me when somebody has gone out the door or somebody’s at the door. It also keeps me aware of kids coming in and out at night when we go to sleep. I feel better knowing that the system will go off. However, one day, I didn't realize it was so sensitive and the back door went off. They responded to it quickly and they were able to make sure I was okay and get everything back on track.
The smartphone feature is also very helpful. You can lock the door from there. One weekend we traveled and our neighbor walked our dog. It was nice to be able to set the alarm when she was done and turn it off before she went in. I had to control that from my phone. Also, there are so many things that you can control from the app. Link Interactive is a great way to go. It matches all the other security systems that are out there price-wise. I've had a good experience with them. It's been a smooth process and we've never had to call. That’s exactly what I needed, so it's convenient.

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience and please let us know if you ever have any questions or ever need anything in the future!

The security provider I've previously used never accused me of taking stuff, but Link Interactive for three weeks accused me of taking a security system that was already returned to them. When the lady was setting up the camera outside for my side doorbell, I told her that maybe one of the problems why it was not connecting was because the battery was completely dead. I told her to give me 15 minutes to do it. While I was trying to figure it out, she already sent the order out. Then I sent back the same equipment, the same time I got it about a week later because it takes time to get to the store to return it. However, I didn’t get a receipt and I know now that the next time I am returning anything especially to Link Interactive, I'm gonna make sure I get a receipt direct and say, "Hey, this is the confirmation number," and send it right back to them.
The first customer representative hung up on me when I told her that I already returned the equipment they knew and she saw it in their system that the equipment was returned and she just wanna hang up on me for no reason which I thought was really rude. But the second representative was able to resolve the issue. The service when the alarm goes off and the matching part is wonderful and I recommend it. But I rate Link's customer service low as I could possibly give.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I looked into the issues you listed. We sent you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). This was simply a reminder to send back your defective or unwanted equipment. We were not accusing you of theft so I'm assuming this was all just a misunderstanding. We apologize that we didn't make this more clear. We thank you for your business and hope to prove that to you in the months to come.

We were moving to a new house and location and I decided I can keep my family safe. Link Interactive's amount of accessibility both in price point and in customization made me go with them. Their sales and technical reps have all been great. They were very helpful and everything is self-explanatory but they walked me through and followed up wherever necessary. There were different options in terms of video, doorbell and all sorts of hardware accessories, and I selected some and priced it that way. I enjoy its smartphone feature. It is necessary especially in today’s day and age and it was a requirement for me. Its system's overall functionality is great but I could probably do more in terms of home interactivity that's offered through the company's platform. And although there are companies that offer security systems that are more interactive and higher technical ability, I'm happy with Link Interactive and I would recommend it.

I used to have a security system in my previous house and after moving into this new house, I decided I should continue to use a security system. And going with Link Interactive was cheaper and more flexible. I asked for a quote online and a representative sent me an email through which I preferred to communicate with because I don't have access to my mobile phone during work time. We communicated most times through the email and it was pretty smooth for me. They did a pretty good job answering a customer's questions through email.
I did a self-installation and it was pretty easy. I have the standard package with door and motion sensors which are all I need. And the installation instructions is overall pretty good. But on their advertisement, the controller can be hung on the wall but if you do want to hang the controller on the wall, you have to do some DIY stuff and this will damage the wiring because once you do the DIY stuff, their wirings cannot be valid anymore. Also, their customer service is not available on Sunday which could be an issue for some customers. Other than those, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. The quality of the equipment is good. I use the smart phone features to turn on and turn off the alarm system. It's the most important thing I need to use on a daily basis. And sometimes, I might check their sensor history because I want to make sure that no one enters my home when I'm away.

There were some local issues here with people breaking in and a friend of mine recently purchased Link Interactive and put it in his house. Then I called Link and the salesperson hooked me up. We decided what we needed to do to the house based on the number of windows and doors and figured out the system. They sent me the hardware and we installed and tested it. The installation was very simple since a friend had an experience. But we had a sensor and two batteries that were bad and the actual garage tip up sensor was not working properly. They replaced that hardware and sent it to me right away, and we installed it. It’s simple.
The smart features of the Link system are excellent. It makes it a lot easier, simplified and I see what’s armed or what’s not. I also like the notifications feature. I now have more comfort in terms of leaving the house and knowing that I got real-time access to issues at the house. Overall, my experience with Link Interactive was good.

I bought two external cameras, glass break sensors and motion detectors. And the little home base unit is all touchscreen colors and easy to navigate. They had good equipment at a reasonable and cheaper price. It's a lot more modern stuff than I had with ADT. Plus, their reps were knowledgeable and good at explaining how the system worked.
I used a lot of my own sensors that I already had. I talked to a lady there one day and gave her all the ID numbers of the sensors. And she had them entered into their system for me. I was also given instructions on how to activate the doorbell camera and the other external camera I had. It was all self-explanatory and the system is easy to use. I'm satisfied with Link Interactive. And I have told somebody to use them.

My wife did a bunch of research on the internet about purchasing a home security system. It is our second time to get a system and we both spent a lot of time mauling it over and deciding whether or not we were gonna try to do it ourselves or hire a professional that can do it. Our first system was a wired one. We hired somebody to come in and we spent a lot more. They put a panel on our closet and chased wires around in our attic. But Link Interactive's website was excellent and videos are available either through their website or on YouTube to help with the installation and figure out how to make things work. I was able to figure it out and I'm not a super smart guy when it comes to the internet, so I like it a lot.
My wife was the one who did a lot of the pre-work and interacted with their sales team. She was very happy with their team, with the functionality and the support on the website so we paid a little bit more. The monthly cost is fairly expensive and we spent 500 bucks on all the parts and pieces. When I installed the system, the directions that came with it were very easy. I'm fairly technically savvy when it comes to working with my hands and hang pictures. I work in the construction industry, but I'm a manager so I'm not afraid to dive in and try things. I was fully installed on a night and the only thing that was challenging about it was the stickers that hold some of the sensors on. I gotta go figure out where to find some more of that double-stick tape. And there are some tricks that they could put on there that might help people figure this out.
A lot of times with our windows, if I put them a little bit too close to each other when I go to shut the window, especially if we have a heavy glass door, it’ll pop that thing right off. Then if I put it in the wrong spot a little too close and my kid shuts it a little too hard then it makes contact with the frame and breaks it off. So, a little bit of heads up on that maybe on the website or on the instructions would have been helpful.
Also when the thing showed up, if I have animals in the house, I'm supposed to point it a little bit more up or down. When I walked past a sensor and I thought it would set it off, it didn’t register so there's something going on there that I haven't been able to figure out. But so far all of the perimeter locks and everything seemed to function very well and it gives us peace of mind. Also, I keep my phone next to my bed if we forget to set the alarm and just one touch on my phone and say arm away or arm stay. It's just hitting it and I don’t have to get up and go to the panel. Link Interactive is very user-friendly.
So far, everything is going very well and we're happy with the panel including how it works. The Z-wave technology is very handy also. And we're thinking about having a camera and it will be nice if that camera system interfaced with the security system we have. We have one in our house that was there when we moved in but that’s 10 years old so it's a separate DVR and I don’t think it’ll work together. Overall, we're very happy with the decision we made. There is some night time burglary in the neighborhood and we feel more secure knowing that at night, we can lock the house down and that the alarm on the panel will wake us up if something happens.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

There has been an increase of break-ins in the neighborhood and I wanted to have some monitoring at my home when I'm not in the home, for burglary primarily, so I chose to purchase a home security system. I researched about five or six systems and I found that Link Interactive had the best value and also the best technology for the monitoring sensors that were available. The person who did the sales for me was excellent and was responsive by email and phone. He responded to phone calls when I called, got back to me quickly, and answered questions that I had about how the devices work, as well as the cost, how to place the order, and contracts. Basically, he was able to provide me with everything I needed quickly and he was very good.
After that, I had a couple of interactions with him because of some problems with the system. It wasn't syncing properly with alarm.com, so some of the data that I've entered with the local device wasn't going after the web and I wasn't able to access it remotely. It was giving me false reports of doors opening and closing. It wasn't getting the accurate sensor information or which sensor was activated because the alarm wasn't feeding the data properly. I had to make a few phone calls to follow up on that and send it through email messages. I got a very good response quickly from customer service. They corrected the problem and said that there was a problem with the syncing in the alarm versus Link. So, I didn't have to do anything about it and that was very positive.
The third interaction I had was also with the sales rep initially because there had been some problems with shipping. I had asked for a specific count of sensors and I received several additional sensors I didn't need, so I wrote to him and I asked him what to do and he sent me a label to return them. And then oddly, a couple of days later, I got another shipment, an additional sensor, that I hadn't asked for. I told him I needed to return this as well, so he got me a second label and I shipped both of them back.
The only downside or the only criticism I had of that was that I didn't receive a refund promptly. It took several weeks before anything happened. I had to write to him and ask him what was going on with the refund and he responded quickly. He said he spoke to someone in that department and the refund was going to be processed the next day. I saw the refund a few days later on my credit card, but I had to remind him of that. Apparently, the department that was processing it didn't take care of it as promised. He corrected it but that required several communications from me to prompt him to follow through on the last step, which was the refund. It was a minor complaint but it definitely could have been handled more efficiently.
After I had installed the data, I had named all the sensors on the panel. Apparently, those names were not going up to the alarm.com system when the alarm goes off to my phone and also to the human monitors. I was getting, "Zone 3 is open. Zone 4 is open,” on my phone. I got a phone call from the monitor saying, "We had a zone 3 open alert.” I wondered what was that because I wasn't at home. I armed the systems and a windstorm blew through my neighborhood and blew a window open just by the wind. A tree crashed in front of the house and it set off a glass break detector on the inside of the house which was rather surprising. The alarm went off and I wasn't that familiar with the system. I saw the alarm activated two different zones that sounded not like a false alarm to me but I couldn't tell what they were.
The person on the phone couldn't help me because it said, "Zone three, zone four". I said that wasn’t what I put into the system. I had just turned it on two hours ago and I was 45 minutes’ drive away from the house. He was asking me if I could go to the hall and I said that I was in the middle of dinner. It was very stressful. When I got back, I wrote a long email to customer service. They looked into it and they said that what I put into the sensor naming didn't block the alarm, so the alarm was communicating some generic zone stuff to the monitor. They fixed that. It was a syncing issue between the device and alarm, but it was very frustrating and upsetting to me that the first time I turned it on, I got a false alarm and I couldn't correct it.
The police had been called to the house and they were gonna give me a fine because it was a false alarm. I didn't have the alarm registration on file. There was a permit needed that I had to sign to Link and when I paid for my permit, I was given a certificate but there was no information on the certificate. Link told me afterward that the police couldn't come out to the house right away because I didn't have a permit on file and I told him I paid for it and I emailed it to them. They said that the receipt number for the permit was actually my permit number. I asked how I would have known that and he said they were sorry and that it's a Los Angeles issue they didn't know. It wasn't Link's fault but was LA City's. But Link wasn't able to correct it in time before the police came out and they threatened to fine me that. And even though I paid for it the day before, I didn't have it on file.
It was a miscommunication that had occurred after I installed it, during the time that the alarm went off and break down and transferring communication to different parties. There was a systemic problem between Link alone, the permit, and the monitoring people that created a lot of unnecessary stress for me that first night. I documented it and emailed it to the company and they were very responsive. They took care of it, but it took several days to sort it all out.
The installation process of the system was straightforward and clear. I had to call a couple of times because the sensors were not being picked off by the panel. And over the phone, someone walked me through taking the battery out and putting the battery back in. That re-established a connection between the sensor and the panel, although that wasn't clear to me in the instructions. The instruction basically said they don't show up automatically and two of the sensors didn't show up and I thought they might be defective. It turned out they weren't defective. There were some problems with the signal not linking up and the only way to re-establish the signal was to remove the battery. All in all, they were able to take care of it so I don't fault them for that. They did a good job in walking me through it.
The other issue I had was the door/window sensor that was re-assessed. I had to drill into the door frames in order to create a hole for them. I found that process was quite difficult. It required a lot of complex tools including an auger and very unusual large drill bit, a level, and several different depth-finding tools. It was a complicated process. I would probably have to hire a professional to install something like that if I didn't have access to those tools and had professional advice from a carpenter. That was a really far more complex installation than a do-it-yourself person would be expected to know how to do it. Drilling it, ¾-inch diameter, 2.5-inch depth round hole in solid wood without any other type of tools and doing it properly was unreasonable. I would not have ordered them if I had known. It took me about six to eight hours to do that for four doors.
Since that first disaster and all those problems that were corrected because of it, the system has worked flawlessly. There has been no false alarms and no failures to connect. The only other issue I'm having right now is I am finding that when I try to access the video feeds through either the website or my phone connecting to the alarm.com website, the video feeds tend to shut down after five or six seconds. And if I try to click “live feed”, and then once they stop, there's no way for me to restart the feed for two or three minutes. I can't click “play” again and get the video feeds to restart. It's almost like there's a lockout.
I have three cameras and if one of the cameras stops, I can’t restart that camera for a minute or two. I can only look at the other camera. I find that to be a consistent problem and it has been ever since I started the system. It's something to do with alarm.com speed. It’s disappointing because I am paying for that access. It's $10 a month to have that video feed and I'm getting poor service. The service for the video portion of my contract is not being fulfilled based on what I was told.
The quality in relation to the cost is fair. There are systems that are cheaper but the quality is probably not quite there. Link Interactive’s systems are more expensive but other companies aren’t offering anything more than somebody had to come in and install it as opposed to do-it-yourself. It's not worth paying more for two or three years from now. I've compared prices for different systems of what's offered and I found that even though this isn't the cheapest plan, it probably is overall the best value in terms of price for what I received, so I'm happy with it in terms of value.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with us. We hope you get the peace of mind you deserve. Thanks for being a valued customer!

They made it very easy as for a female to put it up myself. It was nice. I could take it with me and I did like that because I planned on moving.
I got a basic system and it's a little bit too basic so I was looking into adding a camera to it. Also I wish I could expand the glass break feature. I didn’t know it was built-in and that really needs to be improved on. If only it would go a few more feet than what it's built into the system. I've always had a home security system and I moved to a new house so I thought I would try something outside of the brand name and then try to do something else. On the other hand, Link which was either second or third, had all the stuff that I like. So I went with Link. The customer support is much better at Link Interactive. They're very good, very knowledgeable and very patient. I'm not very technologically savvy so I've had some difficulty with the installation of my system. But the people at Link have been able to walk me through it. I'm still having some issues but they're just some things that we probably have to fine tune.
I got to customize my package. Link has a base package that has a limited number of contacts and I was able to increase the contacts and add motion sensors and go from there. And each time I added something, it cost more money. I'm blind and I'm having some problems with some of the alarm.com notifications being transferable to my iPhone technology such as the SkyBell. I'm having trouble whenever I answer the SkyBell from my iPhone because I can't see the little dot on the phone and I can't hit the little answer button. But now, I've got the Sky phone hooked up.
I like the idea of the Link Interactive smart phone features but I'm having some problems with the features that the smart phone has for people who are blind. I'm not sure whether or not I can use the smart phone features or Link Interactive through alarm.com. Also, I'm not sure if the smart phone "reads" what alarm.com has on its website when I go to it. Link has got to tell their website to let these programs read it because if they don't tell the website to let the program read it, they won't read it. But overall our Link Interactive system is a good value.

Link Interactive was cheaper and I think it's a good value. I've got two daughters and a wife that I want to protect, and their service is equal with my previous provider, Monitronics. I called customer service twice to get the system set up and the technical service when I was getting it initially installed was excellent. I like Link Interactive's panel better and this is also the first time I've had an app for the security system and that's nice. The app let me know one day that the backdoor opened even though the alarm wasn't set. My wife was alone with our sick daughter and it was nice to know that something odd was happening.

We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your system and that it is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve! Thanks for all your feedback and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever have any questions.

I have Vivint in my home and I called them but they were way too expensive. So, I did some looking, found Link Interactive, and I went with them. Their customer service reps were good and they always took care of what they could. I did the installation myself and the features were pretty neat. They're holding up for me so far and the overall cost, in relation to the quality of service, is better than ADT.

I bought my first house and had my car window broken into so I decided to go ahead and get a home security system. Link Interactive was one of the top five home security companies and they had a little bit more flexibility with their initial setup fees and pricing as well as contract lengths. Their rep was very helpful. He talked to me about what my requirements would be or what I would need for my particular home. Overall, the guidance was good. Installing the system was pretty easy and its features worked pretty well for my needs.

Then our daughter was moving out of state and didn’t need hers anymore so we took over her contract. Link Interactive’s rep, Vicky, was awesome. The installation of the system was also pretty simple and it's been running great. I use the smartphone feature to turn the system on and off, and we are gonna get a couple of other things to go with the set. I've had another home security system before and Link Interactive is more latest in technology. It has the flexibility to add additional home automation on your own. The reps were very professional and they answered my questions. During set up, I had some issues where I couldn't really test the glass door detector and the motion detector went out for a night without reason for it to go off. The installers tried making sounds and stuff for glass door break but it didn't really trigger. So, I don't know whether it works or not. Also, the motion detector range is limited. You can actually duck underneath it and go across. But at least I had somebody in the call to help me and walk me through setting it up. And the reps spent time looking into the issues on the motion detector camera and the set up questions I had.
I got the garage door opener, but it does not work with a new Genie garage door opener. So, I was not able to set that up which is a problem. Also, I want to put security cameras outside my house, but I don't want to drill because they would break. It's a real issue. And if I want to install a security camera, my options are limited because the cameras and the equipment available is very limited. I can't have battery-powered cameras which are available with other companies.
I'm paying $40 a month and I've yet to add security cameras to it, which allows me to record and watch. But I really cannot go with the cameras available from them. I may have to drop my package if I can't do videos and I'll have to pay somebody else to do the videos. It may be a problem there. But overall, the cost is fine. It's a reasonable price and the quality of the system I have is good including the IQ panel 2. When you walk in, the IQ panel disarms the system because it's Bluetooth compatible. And I use Geofencing so it notifies me in case I forget to arm the system.

You deserve the best and we are happy to give you just that! Thanks for being a part of our family and please let us know if there is anything we can ever do for you in the future

I was looking for a cost-effective way to implement security in my home and I actually had an existing security system in the house when I bought it. The representatives from Link Interactive have been excellent. I did the installation of the security system myself. The quality of the features that I had in my system were comparable to what other security companies were providing. When the Link guys had to alert me for possible emergency situations, their response time in those incidents was very quick. Link's system is a very cost-effective way for homeowners that know how to DIY and would definitely recommend them.

I wanted to break away from my other provider. I switched to Link Interactive and Leland, the rep I talked to, was great. But their security system is clunky in some ways compared to the previous one I had. I found that I shouldn’t arm the Away unless I’m already out of the house with the doors closed, otherwise, the system goes bonkers. Also, I’m not too pleased with the motion detector and I don’t know if the police are being called if there’s an alarm. I had an alarm go off while I was away from the house and by the time I got to the house, I didn’t see anything and I don’t know if the police were notified or not, or if they came or not. I haven’t seen a bill.
Then, I had some leftover two-sided tape on the display panel so I could stick it onto my computer and when I'd press the button, it wouldn't fall off the counter. Link Interactive might want to consider putting something on the bottom that has a little grip to it so that when it sits on a counter, a person can touch the panel without knocking it over. Otherwise, they just have to stick it against the wall and I didn’t want to do that. I have an open kitchen, so I put it right there on the counter. Other than that, the equipment doesn’t burn through batteries frequently and the smartphone works pretty fine.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

We talked through how many windows and doors and what I was looking for in a security system. I told them that I was completely new to this and the guy was very informative about what was available. I wanted a very simple system and that was what I got. The whole thing is completely installed and it’s doing exactly what I need it to do. I had gotten a completely customized home security system from Link Interactive. They were offered by Costco and were very affordable. They gave me a choice of the control module and I built from there. There were lots of options to go with to add to your system. Anytime I've had any technical questions, they've been helpful. Plus they have a fast response time and they are effective. They randomly call me first to see if I needed any help or to find out how everything's operating. And then any alarm issues have been fast and effective. Installing the system by myself was easy. And for the most part, I was able to do it without any help. I've been running it for years without any problems. With it I feel better about the security.

We were going to a new area and we looked up the crime figures there, and with the discount we would get from our homeowner’s insurance we figured that to be safe we might as well take over the security system of the person from whom we were buying the house. When I was growing up, my parents had a home security system. Every time that I talked with somebody at Link Interactive, the customer service was great. Everybody seemed to be knowledgeable and answered my questions.
The only issue I had was that the sales reps kept saying that there was a camera that was part of the system, but I couldn’t find it at the house. Their system was saying that, but they couldn’t tell me where it was. But they've been very nice and they tried to follow up. Eventually, I got in touch with the house seller who told me that they had a camera at one point but they had turned it in because they didn’t like it. That was the only frustrating thing. But other than that, everything else was fine, including setting up the payment.
After I found out about the camera, Link was doing video monitoring as part of the price. They didn’t remove that and I didn’t have any issues with that, so that was good and I was happy with that part. Everything in the system seemed good and new. Link has one feature where I can set up the system to have a schedule, so I can have the system set automatically at night and it would be undone in the morning, but that feature would cost extra money. I would like to have that feature at my current rate and not have to put in an extra amount. Anyway, we have an app so we can unlock the system or set it when we’re away. So, when we had forgotten about setting the system or when we had set it but forgot that we had done so, we could get to the system and it was easy to cancel.

Link Interactive was the only company that allowed me to use alarm.com with home self-monitoring. Before, I was in a monitored package and the company I was with was responding to the calls. Now, I'm in a self-monitored package and I'm dealing with everything, but it saves me money. I'm a tech-savvy consumer. I didn’t have to install anything new, but there was a migration from one company to another, which was a pain in the neck. Link Interactive had to take over my existing system, but they didn’t do a very good job of it. Everything broke and I had to re-fix everything after they moved it over. Nonetheless, the features are great and the smartphone features are working fine.

I had ADT and their prices were skyrocketing. I said I'm gonna go with a different company and they said that they were sorry I felt that way. And then once I went with a different company, they said they wanted me back and they were going to give me a really good rate. However, it was too late by that point. I researched between Link and some other ones. For the features that Link offered and their price, it was the best price for the value.
Link Interactive's customer service was good. I installed the system myself and it was difficult at first with one aspect of the garage, but then they sent me out an additional part which made it easy to detect the sensor. Also, I had some issues with sound and technical stuff where I was a little bit nervous about using it and then they helped me out and took care of it. However, I had some difficulty with the doors that I have because I have a 1940s craftsman house. The doors were pushed in and they weren't flush. I had to take out the little metal magnetic part of the sensor and superglue that in so it reached the sensor. There were no instructions to do that and that was a little difficult. Other than that, the features of the system are good and I like that I can use it with my smartphone. I arm and disarm the system with my smartphone and it works well. I also like that I don’t have to put in the code to lock the system. The quality of the equipment is good and they're stable.

I went with Link Interactive for their knowledge in the area, flexibility with their packaging and equipment, and the availability of the equipment that they’ve chosen. I've had them for two months and I'm enjoying it so far. The installation experience went well for me but I’m probably a little more technically inclined than most people so I didn’t have any problems. I've called tech support several times to be able to install new devices or ask about warning alarms. They've not known the answer right off to that all the time but they've researched it and gotten back with me within a day. I was looking for one item that was not carried by them which was an outdoor motion sensor that’s specific to other vendors. But the quality was good for what it was.
I had a plan with the gentleman that was the sales rep and after some technical research, it was determined that the plan that we had would not work. And so Link Interactive re-contacted me and worked out a deal of different equipment options that would still complete what I needed, but they gave me some price discounts to be able to still retain my service along with everything that I needed. My install was complicated, and they not only worked with me and made it happen, but when it couldn’t happen, they came back with different options and one of them was very generous, not just with the equipment but with the continued support. Plus their response time as far as the false alarms that I've had has been expected.

This is my first home and I wanted to find a home security system that had access to my cell phone but is still covered and not overpriced and I chose Link Interactive over ADT, which is totally high. Also, I've read a couple of articles where a lot of people were recommending Link Interactive as their number one option for a home security. So far, everyone has been super helpful. I'm not a hands-on techie person, but everyone just seemed pleasant when I spoke with them and walked me through everything. And even from the sales experience, it wasn’t pushy or forcing me to make a decision, which if I've wanted another one, it's one of the things I’d look for when making a decision.
The installation was simple. I do have it on the counter right now. I wanted to get it on the wall, so that's the only thing that's different. I did have to call since the instructions were a bit unclear, but it was easy once they walked me through it. I customized my package with all windows, all doors and one monitor that was in a central location of the home. When I had other people come out and give me estimates, I'd pick up on what they recommended, and then I called and gave them the recommendations of what I felt was useful for me. Eventually, I wanted to do the video and the doorbell at my front door too. It has a little window then, it doesn’t have a peephole.
I love the quality of my security equipment. It's high-tech. I'm used to a touchscreen and I have an iPhone, so I like that I am able to do everything on my iPhone. I like that it's updated with technology now and I like the design a bit more than the older systems. I use the smartphone feature more than I use the actual pad. I don't have to worry that I've set it. Also, I live alone and it gives me peace of mind and comfort knowing that if I did set it off and forget to set it on, I still have access to do it.
Link Interactive's cost is one of the cheapest that I've seen and you're getting the same thing. And, the service that you're being provided is just as good, if not better. Their prices are a bit more reasonable and within the budget, which is always a good thing. If I could save money anywhere, I'd do it as long as the service is still good. I have a brand new home, so Link Interactive is just gonna do for me. I feel that I'm really comfortable.

I’ve been looking at a home security system for a while for my new home. I did my research and Link was well-rated and I wanted it for the extra security. I called someone on the phone to have him set me up an estimate. I reviewed all that and then told him when I was ready, I would follow up. And then we cut a deal in February, and everything went smoothly. I’ve had to call them once to edit a few things and I'm gonna have to call them again when I get some more free time to edit a few more settings on the system. But overall, it’s been good.
Installing the system was easy. I didn’t want my unit to be on the table and I wanted to mount mine to the wall. So fishing the wire was a little more difficult considering I’ve never done it before, but once I figured it out and got everything going, it worked okay. The smartphone feature is great and I love it. Right now, the touch panel doesn’t have the weather on it, but I’m trying to figure that out. And also, it would have been nice to know more descriptions on the delay entry and the delay exit when I first got the system. So when I’d open the door, I didn’t know that it didn’t have a delay exit on it. Every time I’d open the doors, the alarm would blow my ears out but we got that taken care of. Link is good but it needs a little bit of improvement. But overall, I'm happy and for the price, I’m satisfied with what I got.

Going with Link where we could do-it-yourself a little bit since we're technically proficient was helpful. We've had them for a month and their reps have been very good. We're still in the middle of installing a few things, but what we’ve done so far has been easy. We moved into a home that we’re doing some renovations on, so we’re not going to install the door thing until the actual door that’s gonna be there is there. We really like the safe plate, which is another thing that pulled us to Link. The touchscreen shows pictures when it’s not in use so it looks like a rotating photo frame. I've always had a home security system and that’s something that I do. It makes me feel comfortable. I went with Link Interactive to try something different from ADT. The rep was fine and good with the system, but it wasn’t as easy to set up as Link said. They said that I had to set it up, but they didn’t go into detail with the things that I had to do and the time it would take me to do them. To install the system, I had to set up all the sensors on the doors, the motion detector, and the camera. They said it would take 20 minutes, but it took a lot more time than that. It would take 20 minutes for a serviceman, but two hours for somebody who is not an installer.
The quality of our equipment is fair. The motion detector doesn’t have a light on and I don’t know if it's working or not. It just shows us that it's capturing anything coming in or out. Also, one motion detector is not good enough for a house, but that was all they gave us and they wanted us to pay for the rest. I'm trying to have advice on the sensors. The one camera doesn’t have wires. The system is all connected, so I can't just set the security device the way I want and I have to set it in a special place. So, there were some issues and some gaps in the system.
I was able to customize the features of my system to a certain extent. But it was after I got the service package to see what it entailed that I found the issues with the hardware. We can't protect our home with the basics that they gave us, which are not enough and don't give us everything we need to protect our home 100%, unless we're in an apartment. I was not covering my home with the number of devices that they gave us or the hardware that they sent over, and we have to spend more cash to buy additional devices to fully secure our home. To protect our home, Link Interactive could have offered a basic package with at least two motion detectors, sensors for all the doors, and two cameras.

Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear the setup wasn't a smooth success. We look forward to serving you in the future.

But sometimes the camera trips out of the internet and in the pad, it goes out of sync and deletes the registration by itself. I’m about to fix it myself right now but I will have to call Link Interactive to replace them because I think the problem is the system itself. The reps gave me an excellent customer service at the beginning when the cameras were giving me the issue. Even though the camera was still doing the same thing, they gave me a huge package of options that are coupons for the camera. It’s also really easy for my parents and me to use a smartphone to arm and disarm the system, and that feature is excellent. Even controlling the thermostat is really easy. I had a good experience with Link Interactive. I'd recommend the system to people. We had a family break and since there have been some burglars in the neighborhood, I got some cameras because I don't want them to get something in the house. Prior to that, I was doing research online and their hardware linked up things like I can add a Z Wireless to it. And it was just an all in one package deal. I set up a call online and they gave me a callback and went through with sales.
The sales agents were good. They directed me to the website and we went through every option that there was out there and different payment options and setting about the system. And while everything was smooth, the only thing I didn't like was the door sensors were a little cheap. I can't use the double-sided tape cause it will fall off. And when I screw them in, the back plate that I screwed it to is plastic. The second I put in a pressure against it, it caused it to bow. Then the other section doesn't want to snap in place correctly. I have to be careful otherwise the whole front will fall right off when I slam the door. It seemed like a flawed design.
Other than that, everything went smoothly. However, when they told me that they were compatible with all these different things, I looked up a couple of them and it seems like they limit it only to specific vendors. They told me I can access Z Wireless but it only connects to specific devices. Maybe it was communication and that's a problem. But still, the functionality of the system was great. They're a little higher rated per monthly cost but they're supposed to be faster and that's what I was paying for. Besides, they would be able to monitor everything. Since having a system from Link Interactive, when we go out of town I allow my girlfriend or friends to post stuff on Facebook or social media even though I don't do it. I would never allow that before. I don't want anybody knowing I was out of town.

I live alone and I have a home security system. I contacted a few home security companies and I like Link Interactive the best. The dealings I had with their reps were mostly very good except for two. The last time I called, I kept getting one ring and then it would click off. I suspect that somebody just kept hanging up on me because it happened eight times in a row. The other thing was that I had problems setting up with alarm.com. I didn’t receive the welcome letter or the temporary code. When I did, it came as 4 stars instead of a code so I could not enter it. But the fellow on the help end helped me and did whatever he needed to do to fix that.
When I first installed the system, I had my boyfriend help me with it and he was jumping the gun all over the place so it was not anybody else’s fault but his. He was taking the sensors right out of the box without looking at the number, where they went and taking them out everywhere. So far, the features are good and the quality of the system is mostly okay. The only thing was, I had one sensor fall off and it should be stuck on a little better. In terms of the cost in relation to the quality, it is of market value or a little less. The features offered in my system were good and while it was self-installation, I had to do some phone calls because of some technical difficulties. But, they worked through it.

I was getting more concerned with someone breaking in and so I got Link's basic package with one additional motion sensor. It's a quality system and the quality of the equipment is better compared to ADT's. Also, Link Interactive has reasonable rates and I like the fact that I can install their system myself. I had ADT in a different house and that had a little better equipment and professional installation. On the other hand, Link is wireless and I installed it.
The overall installation of the Link wireless system was fairly easy although I had a challenge when I tried to get the sensors around the doors because of the crown molding. If there hadn’t been crown molding there, it would have been very straightforward because I just put things on an angle. There were a few other companies that use the same equipment manufacturer and one was very pushy and was giving out incorrect information about Link. I caught them incorrectly giving that information twice to me, so I steered away from them. I'd tell my friends to look into Link Interactive.

Thank you for your recommendation and for sharing your experience with us!

I'm not at home for most of the days so I need a home security system. I've dealt with the reps a couple of times and it was fine. But they have a limited time, not 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so I have to call in during business hours. The system is a self-install. I had to read up all the instructions and then I was able to follow. It wasn't too difficult. After the technicians explained and then answered my questions, everything went fine. The cost after I got the discount was around $100. The sensor is affordable and I hope it can be cheaper. I just ordered the motion sensors, the contact sensors. But I didn't order the camera as the price wasn't what I expected. I know some other systems are coming out with their competitive price and then without any monthly fee. So, I may consider that after my contract with Link Interactive expires.
Link Interactive has the technology that won't cost you that much to get. And you pay only one time so somehow it may be a lot cheaper. But the outcome may not be that great because you have the live operator 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and then some systems do not really have the live operation or certain surveillance to your house. So, that's a trade-off. Overall, Link Interactive's service is good. I'm still with Link Interactive on one property.

Compared to other companies I've been talking to Link Interactive is a little inexpensive so I chose to get them. Also the most important part for me is that whatever goes in my house, they helped me out to put it in so if anything goes wrong in the future I know where and how find to troubleshoot and I'm a ready handyman. I love that whatever people put in my house, I should know how it works and how it's laid out.
The sales was good and convincing. But tech support is something I was not completely satisfied because a lot of the stuff, I had to do it. I had to figure out pretty much everything so it was not a straight shot that when you talk to the installer, they say, "Hey, this cable goes here, this cable goes here. This is the way you're going to do it." It was not that easy. The guy had enough knowledge about their own system, how to program it and all but as long as the wiring is concerned I felt it was not a good a fixing.
I was not very convinced with the wiring in my house even though the diagrams were sent to them. So I was not very impressed with the initial installation. Now as long as the configuration it was very smooth. The instruction was easy. The major thing I was looking for that it tells me which door is open and all, everything that which tells me, other than that alarm.com which they have provided. That's very handy.
Another thing I like about Link Interactive is that, whatever the equipment I want to add they said, "We are there for you, I will help you out and there's no additional cost to it." That's one thing. Another good thing that they're telling me is they're giving me warranty on their product for three years so that's nice. I'm very satisfied. The quality of the equipment is good and the cost is reasonable. The worst part is there was no follow up, which is a good gesture from a company or from a customer service perspective. If you call the customer and say, "Hey, how are you doing? Anything that we can do?" I think it's additional points to satisfy the people. But I would tell people to definitely go for it.

Link Interactive had the best prices and we were impressed with their customer service. When we installed the home security system, it was a little frustrating at some points but the customer service was super helpful and they made it easy to figure out. It is a great value for what we are paying for. The security system's quality is good and it's easy to use. It's also wireless which we really like. With Link Interactive, there is a lot more peace of mind at home. My husband is a lot more comfortable especially if he is at work at night and I’m at home.

The sales representatives at Link Interactive are very attentive, informative and they follow through. They also answered every question I had, even the silly ones. And they walked me through everything and made sure that I knew what was going on, and I knew how to work my system. I installed the system myself and it was very easy. While I did have some questions I just called in and they helped me so it went well. And while the features offered was high-tech for the cost, it takes forever to get the app to come up. It's because you have to put your thumbprint in and by that time, I'm already at the door, or out of my car. So, I found that it's easier just to use a key fob. However, since I live by myself I feel safer with Link Interactive. It's great.

I wanted an alarm system to feel safer. Growing up we had one. I researched on the internet and found that Link Interactive was one of the more cost-effective ones and easy to install and I also had a cousin who used it. When I called they were friendly in the sales department and the rep gave me his personal email address so I followed up with some questions and he was quick to reply for the most part and helped me out.
When I called to ask some questions and to book the order I wasn’t at home and it took me a while to kind of try and see how many windows I had but he was patient with me. I felt like he gave me a good deal. I'm a pretty tough negotiator. I felt like they were fair. I ended up purchasing a motion detector that I felt like after I discussed it with my boyfriend, we decided we didn’t want. It was easy to send that back and I got a refund for that. My experience with the initial sales person and then the subsequent people after that was positive.
Initially it was kind of overwhelming when I opened the box but once I started going about putting everything up, it was easy enough. I didn’t have any questions when I was installing it and they helped me around to test. The only thing that I did have a question was the different website so there's an alarm.com website. There was an actual site for the equipment and your billing and there's one for the actual monitoring. The difference between the two sites was initially a little bit confusing and they were like different log-ins for both so I think that could be a little clearer in the instructions but they were pretty quick to clarify for me.
We use the smartphone features and it's easy to use. I've used it when I've forgotten to set the alarm or when I'm just too lazy to get up and use the panel. I'm happy with Link Interactive so far. It's only been a couple of months but we feel safer and my boyfriend works nights so I definitely have a feeling of safeness when he's not around that I'm protected. I would recommend it.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly and you are enjoying the app. Please let us know if you ever need anything

I wanted to get a home security system and I bought the Link Interactive system in February and had it installed at the very end of February. Their sales was mediocre. The person was fairly good and informative for the most part except either he was uninformed or misleading about a couple of the products. I had my list of things I would need to have for the security for the home and I had discussed the window security and things like that. He recommended I get a motion sensor for a couple of the rooms. I said I was concerned with that because I have a cat and a kitten that run around. He said that wasn’t a problem and that these things are rated not to go off for anything under 50 pounds, for instance an animal, and a cat is only eight ounces. So, I installed the motion sensors and sure enough, the cat set off the alarm non-stop.
I had not just stuck the motion sensors on the wall but mounted them into the wall so that they were there securely because I didn’t want things falling off. I hard-mounted them and the cat set them off four days in a row. I called them back and said that this doesn't work at all. The person I spoke with said that it was a known thing with cats that run around a lot and that they'll set these things off all the time. I said that it was literally the opposite of what I was specifically told when I bought it. That was frustrating because I have some holes in my wall now that I have to go and patch up, as well as with all the hassles of calling back and telling them to turn off the alarm. The whole thing was disappointing and either the guy didn’t know or he intentionally misled me.
The other thing was the cameras that I purchased were weird in that they're self-install cameras. They were external cameras that I bought but the wiring on the external cameras is not conducive to hardwiring them. They're external-mounted cameras and they have power cable. I got them to have plugs on them and the cabling with the wiring was thin. I ran it through the pool cable like we do when we wire stuff to the house and it pulled the sheathing right off and the whole thing popped right out and can't get it off like it wasn't something that should happen. I'm working with customer service now trying to rectify it because this thing's not designed to be routed through a house. I said that it's not designed for this because I do this all the time for wiring.
They changed the housing on the indoor camera to make it weatherproof but left everything else intact. Everything else is for indoor wiring, not outdoor, so this stuff is really designed to go through walls. I called them up and asked if they can send me another one. They're still going to assess it and I'm going back and forth with them. I told them that the camera itself is not broken but the sheathing came off and the wiring popped out from the connector. The rep said that they would have to take a look at it before they can assess that they can give me a new one. I didn’t do anything unusual and didn’t beat on it or abuse it. I took it, wrapped it, put my pole on it and ran through my fish tape and it just held out. Hopefully, they'll be able to rectify that.
The rest of the equipment is okay. The cameras and the motion devices were just false advertisement or lack of knowledge. I have one of those little IQ panels, the little touch sensitive panels, and I came home one night to arm the system and the IQ panel was black. It had no display on it whatsoever and it was a software bug and the whole system had locked up. So, I called up at 10:30 and 11:00 at night to get customer support on it. They had to walk me through it but I basically had to take the whole thing apart, disconnect the primary power and take the battery off of it to reset it and put it all back together. It was obviously a software bug and the system hardwired and maybe rebooted but I couldn't reboot it because I still had power supplied to it instead of battery back-up, and I had to take the battery back-up out.
I definitely had some problems and I'm less happy than I was when I had the standard ADT system. But there are some nice things with Link Interactive. The access thing to the phone is cool, but the more I think about it now, the less I like it. I also bought the garage door opener with the sensor thing and there's a known bug that was emailed out a month ago that it does not correctly report back the status of the garage door. I noticed it and I go and check the garage doors. Sometimes they'll say it's open when it's not and sometimes they'll say it's closed when it's open. This is a known bug we're trying to work with. Chamberlain fixed it but I haven't heard any news about being fixed or remedied.
So periodically, I go and check it and I know that this thing may not necessarily reflect the actual status of the garage door. I go in the alarm.com app and I tell them to help me make sure that things get closed up and locked up because my wife leaves after I do in the morning. She sees that it's open and I hit the button to say “close it” and then I instantly see it's closed. And a couple of times it says it's closed but when I go downstairs, it's actually open, so I'm not terribly pleased.
The customer service folks have been decent but the salespeople can be misleading and the product quality is definitely questionable. I would tell others that if they want to go with Link Interactive they can be reasonable but don’t buy a lot of the accessories and think very basic. Dpn't buy anything else because the stuff's not that great.

Thanks for your feedback. We will do some additional training with the sales team based on your feedback. Thanks for being a valued customer.

I decided to buy a home security system because people are breaking into houses in Southern California and they got me. I called Link Interactive to ask some questions. The guy I spoke to was good at what he did. I told him that I wasn't buying anything that night and he didn't push it, but he kept explaining things to me and I just went for it. The system was soft installed and the process of doing that was much easier than I thought. However their instructions are geared toward the tech-savvy people. It states that the person can go follow YouTube videos and go online and read things but when I explained that to my dad, he can't imagine it. An older man would just go with ADT and let them do it all and cut a check.
But overall I like the features of the system and the quality of the equipment is fine. I might make a couple adjustments now that I have it and I use it regularly. However, I'm a little disappointed with the scanner. They mentioned that it's good up to 30 feet but it seems to be a bit inconsistent. But my experience with Link Interactive has been positive and I'm happy. There's only a couple adjustments I need to make and help get around to it.

My home security system was very antiquated so I needed to get something with cameras and some automation. I liked the way that Link Interactive was presented and the fact that I'm an engineer so I wanted to do it myself. I did a little research on the internet and saw the way Link have it set up and it was very attractive. I've priced quite a few home security systems and compared to what I’ve seen, Link Interactive was pretty comparable. It is pricey but so is everywhere else. Their customer service reps were very attentive every time I called. They emailed me information on how to do stuff. When I was doing and working on the quote, they didn't call and bug all the time. I told them to call me back at a certain time and they did. They were dead on.
I set up a lot of networks and I had a good experience in getting the system installed. There was not a lot of detail on the specifics though and that should be pretty standard. There were a lot of steps missing. For example, whenever I have to put the codes of the living room, I want the words to say "living room motion." But I don't spell out "living room," I gotta put a specific code and that wasn't on the website. I had to call and get that sheet emailed to me. Also, I set the perimeter motion sensor the wrong way so every time I opened the door and got in the alarm went off. It would have been nice if there were little notes on how to set up the motion sensor versus a window contact. But I love the features offered in my system and I can keep adding to the basic package. I'll definitely recommend Link Interactive.

They told us the equipment that we needed and equipment that we really didn’t need. They were informative and we were able to make an informed decision about what we did get. The installation was easy enough to do because nothing's hardwired. Aesthetically it looks a little bit better and it seems to function a little faster and has a little better quality. The installation process was super easy and basic. All the instructions in there were well-written out. The equipment is great and I love it. All the features that are on there that we were looking for work great. And realistically the phone app links very well so there's no delay.
I spoke to their reps on the phone and they were really helpful with answering all my questions and helping me out. And they always reach out as soon as possible for any updates. The communication is very good so I've enjoyed it. They were also able to provide a good quote and help me finalize the process. I've never been reached out by ADT and I was with them for almost four years. To me, it goes a long way when the company actually reaches out. Go with Link and get rid of ADT.

I just bought a new home and I wanted to make sure I had a security system. I researched online and I was gonna choose between two companies and I went with Link. I put in the request for a quote and I was called within an hour of putting in the quote. The gentleman and I talked about the options, described the house, and what I was looking for. He put together a package based on how the house was set up and what I was looking for. Then, different pieces for the doors and the windows came in and I had a little trouble with the door mounts because of the trim around the door. It was kind of an awkward trim, so the pieces weren't really flushed to each other. They had to send me these foam pieces to make sure that the two magnetic pieces lined up. The installation was pretty easy and fairly quick. It was just the fill-in stick installation and it didn't take me very long to install once I had the foam pieces.
The quality of the equipment and the service has been good, so far. I like that it's not based on Wi-Fi. It's based on cellular service, which is excellent. And also it has the batteries if the power was to go out. It's a brand new home and a new development and the power has gone out a few times but the alarm system has remained on so that was good. It's definitely worth the investment. It's not overpriced and not underpriced, same with the fees, based on the other quote that I received from competitors. I would tell people to go with Link and pull the trigger because it's worth the money to protect your investment.

My husband's sister was also broken into in a different state and she recommended Link Interactive because that was what she installed. She said that she installed it herself and I like that idea. Also, it was affordable through Costco where she bought it from and we just did the same. I did the installation all on my own and it was super easy. If you need to call in and ask questions or troubleshoot, they're super helpful and knowledgeable as far as that goes.
Their customer service has been good. My only gripe with Link would be that some of the equipment is not the best on the market. As far as security goes, it's okay with their sensors. But their camera technology and doorbell camera technology is not so good. I have two of their cameras in the back of my house. I've returned several of their products because they don't work and the camera quality is poor. There were also the doorbell cameras that were offered but we could not get them to work for the life of us. I finally switched and put a Nest in the front because the quality of the picture and the reliability is just not even comparable.
They've been great about accepting my returns even when the doorbell camera is past warranty. It wasn't working for us, so they refunded us. For that reason, I keep them around. I have other options for the cameras so that's not an issue as far as the monitoring service goes. But if we do have an alarm go off, Link calls quickly so I feel that the system is doing its job. The overall panel is super easy to use to speak with Z-Wave, to the door's deadbolt. Also, it's all easy to maintain so overall, I'm happy with them. I would recommend Link but don't buy their cameras. Get a Nest cam or another camera on the market. But as far as the functionality and the customer service goes, they've been great.

I needed the security on a building that I had and I had already bought a security system but those guys were flakes. So I brought in a new company and they recommended Link Interactive. We did the installation and it was really simple. So far, I have nothing but problems with it. When you walk into a room and you shut the overall panel off, I would think it would shut down all these motion sensors and door closures, but it doesn't. It still sends you an email every time it happens no matter when.
I'm not impressed with Link Interactive. I just wanted a good system, but I don't think I got it. The people were really super friendly, but it's business not anywhere what I thought I was getting. I got so pissed off. I've got up to 52 emails in a day on people opening doors and sensors going off. Link has some improvements to do, and they try hard but I'm not getting anywhere with them.

It was a do-it-yourself installation, so it was very straightforward. The installation was very easy, but they could do a little bit better with the tutorials or the actual instructions in a book or something online. Other than that, I like the features in the system. I have the glass break and then the doors and window sensors. It's just full coverage of the house. And the equipment has high quality. The touchpad, the control panel and the window and door sensors from Link Interactive are better compared to our previous provider, and they're encrypted. I also use the alarm.com app, and it ties in with all the different providers so it's something I'm familiar with.

Link Interactive’s sales department was really good. Their rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue I had with them was that they weren’t very familiar with how to activate the outside door lock. I ended up having to call the people who actually made the product and they told me how to make it light up so I can punch the code in. I previously used a company called Tree Wire and they came and put everything in. But it's different at Link because I put the system in and installed it. I called them up and they just told me what to do for the installation. I bought a lot of stuff from them and most of it was pretty simple. Other than that door lock, they were all right. They knew what to do.
The system's features are pretty good and its quality seems good too but it's a little expensive. I could probably go to Sam's and get the same equipment with the same price. Also, I have to call them back because the inside cameras don’t show for a very long time and my main computer upstairs won't log into it. Another issue is the system shows up on my phone and it tells me if my doors are locked or my garage door is open or closed but it does not sync very well. My door can be locked but it tells me that it's unlocked or it can be unlocked and it will tell me that it's locked. The garage door could be down and it will tell me that the garage door is up. So, that's an issue. But I feel very safe all the time with Link Interactive.

When I bought the house, it already had a Link Interactive system set up so I just needed to activate it. I checked another company and I decided I'd stay with the same one. My interactions with their rep was very good. It was informative and helpful. I had an emergency with the alarm that kept on beeping and their tech walked me through to deactivate it. At the beginning I thought that the installation was going to be difficult and I have to do it but when I started doing it, it was fine. When I called, they guided me step by step to activate the first one and it was easy after that. They also sent me an email with all the instructions step by step.
At this point, I have the door sensors and I can activate or deactivate the system from the website through my phone. I received an email notifying me that the lights were off due to power outage. I didn't notice that email until later so I was going crazy trying to figure out what happened. If I knew that they were going to notify me, I would have checked my email more often. Having Link Interactive is money well spent and I feel much better with it.

My wife has been wanting a home security system for a while and bothering me about it. I was also concerned about my dog being home during the day if anything would happen. And the idea of having the smoke alarms connected to a system was appealing to me. The online reviews about Link Interactive were very good in multiple places I looked. I wanted something that was cellular based rather than phone line based because we don't have an active phone line.
I submitted inquiries and just wanted to price out the system. I had two phone calls with Link and finally got the terms and number of the doors and everything that we were looking for. Once we got a price for the equipment and a service contract back, I felt they were reasonable, so we went from there. The installation was really easy, except for putting on the sensors on top of the sliding doors. It was hard because I wasn't sure if they were going to line up because there was not a jamb to put it on. Any doors with molding had to do it in the non-preferred method of installation which works just as well as far as I've noticed.
The equipment is of good quality. The speaker and command hub are very loud because I accidentally set off the alarm a couple times so that works. With the price of technology, I expect a high quality for fairly the cost and it fits the bill and it is a sturdy set of equipment. The sensors are of decent enough quality as well as the fire alarms.
There were a couple of things in the instruction guide that were unclear on the set up that I had to finagle with a little. One of them was the smoke and fire alarm testing. I had one that I couldn't get off because I had done 90% of the instructions but there was something else I had to do to get it off. It was an issue because when I hit test on the center, it turned it on but then the smoke alarm wouldn't go off. And then I finally figured out how to turn it off and then the second one was easy most of the time.
Another thing was when I opened it, the cell's signal antenna was laying out and right now we have it just inside of our table because we're still not sure if we want it by the door exactly or if we want to put it somewhere else in our house. It was hard for me to tuck it in, so it would actually sit on the table otherwise it was not quite balancing properly because it's locked in here. But none of these were deal breakers. I would definitely recommend Link Interactive.

I wanted to keep my family safe and feel nice inside. I got a Link alarm and they did not try to upsell me. They listened to what I wanted. I asked for a little bit of layout and I got my stuff in two days. The installation was easy as well. I just took the alarm out of the box, took the stickies out the motion detectors, and put the motion detectors up in the house. I just needed to call them to activate it. Over the phone, they asked me if I wanted to customize my door settings that are open. They also told me that I can customize the way my chime opens, that I can get people different security codes to see who's coming in and out of my house and if I have a housekeeper, I can give her my own code. I can also give her a certain amount of restriction.
Also, I feel good about the quality of the alarm. It also could have been a little bit more expensive than what it was but I'm happy it was not. However, I would recommend that they extend their customer service hours a little bit more. They need to go to like 10 Eastern. It's just 7:00 my time right now. Obviously, East Coast is going to change the timing and stuff so they maybe can extend it to 12 midnight or something. Nevertheless, I'll tell my friends to get the alarm. It's quick, easy to install, and has a cheaper price. They give a discount through financial and family referral. I would also tell them that the sales rep was super cool. Everything was done over the computer. It's just easy.

We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your system and that it is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve! Thanks for all your feedback and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever have any questions.

I had previously used ADT and Link Interactive is comparable to them as well as the other options on the market. They are flexible on packages and pricing. Moreover, their technology was above anybody else's and it seems to work well based on what I've experienced so far. My sales rep was fantastic, which was partly one of the reasons I went with him. I am a pain in the ass buyer. I do a lot of research and I negotiated heavily. Then I put them up against several other options at the time. I loved the features. They have the nicest looking and most modern channel of any of the options I looked at and that was a big deal in my buying decision.
I have 50% of it installed and the ongoing monitoring is for my wife's peace of mind. However, installing it was not a very easy process. The sales side made it seem easier than it was. Moreover, the instructions that came with the system was average. The nuances of my own home with the materials were also part of the difficulty. Also, the customer support after the purchase was disappointing. I have not had a single follow up phone call from Link Interactive after the purchase which is surprising to me considering I went into a three-year contract with them. Despite those, I would recommend Link Interactive.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

We needed a home security system for a new home. Link Interactive had a better price for the product so we went with them. Their reps were easy to talk to and they walked us through the whole process. They were pretty informative of the whole situation and things went quickly. We installed the system ourselves and it was easy. They had everything labeled where everything needed to go and all we had to do was put the equipment up. We set it like that before we actually got the system and the installation took us about 15 minutes.
We have the basic alarm system and we have it for our kid. We have a three-year-old who likes to open the front door and the system lets us know every time he does that. We use the smartphone features every time we leave to arm the house and if we forget to arm it, we can always check to see if doors have been opened. So far, the system works great. When you live in a new place, you never know what's going to happen and Link's system helps us with that.

Great! We're glad to hear that your self setup went so smoothly.

My wife and I would be out working so having a home security system would give us some kind of monitoring and give us peace of mind. Marshall helped me with everything. I got his reference from a friend who got Link Interactive last year. We mostly communicated through email and I got a response back in the expected time. And then when we started on the final thing, we spoke over the phone. The installation, however, was a bit tricky and I've had some issues with it.
I had to spend three hours on the phone to get everything set up correctly. When I set up the wireless IDs with the person through email, they messed up the names. When we reprogrammed it, they told me that there was something wrong with the hardware. I told them that the hardware was working correctly two days back and that there was something wrong with their programming. There is something need to be reprogrammed on their side and they were like, "Okay no, there is nothing to reprogram." It took me an hour to explain to them what I've done. Then, they finally agreed and reprogrammed those two and then they started working. I was telling that to the person from the very first day. It was a little bit irritating for both me and that person and I had to call three times for that.
I have the Elite Package so I have everything good. The only thing I didn't understand is that they told me that if I purchased a hardware form their site, which was more expensive, it would work better than if I bought the same hardware from outside. I have a Honeywell wireless sensor and the rep told me that they couldn't support it. But the two are using the same tech so it's supposed to work. But she told me, "Okay, no. This is a different hardware." So I told her, "Okay, I'm not asking you for the warranty on the hardware. I know I didn’t buy it from you so you do not provide the warranty. But this is a compatible system to you guys so you should support this." That's one thing that was confusing. Why was that the case? If it's an alarm door comm system, it's supposed to work with all their providers. They should put more details about which companies they are compatible with. It will be useful for the customers.
I was with 24inControl previously and I get I get a notification in less than a second. With Link Interactive, I found it takes a second or two to get a notification on the app. Like if I open a window, the system would figure it right away but on the app, it takes three seconds sometimes. Also, security-wise, Link is good because their monitoring is better. But with the hardwire, they're not having much option to still key the system hardwire which 24inControl has because of them using a different product. They are totally wireless, while 24inControl has wired and wireless options. But Link Interactive has a nice product range that I will definitely tell my friends about.

Link Interactive is cheaper than ADT, my previous provider, but has the same service. I've only had them for a few months now, but so far, everything's good. I upgraded my existing system to have more integration with the smart home stuff that I already have. I had sensors from ADT and Link has a device that changes the frequency, and I was able to use some of my existing hardware with the IQ panel. Then I got the standard package with a couple of motion and door sensors.
Their reps were good and straightforward. They provided support when I had to call with questions on how to set some of their devices up and it was a learning experience. There was quite a bit of customization and Google Home would only authenticate one voice when I've got four voices in my house for Link Interactive, so I had to get a SmartThings Hub and set that as a primary controller and then set the Pulses as secondary controller. Other than some common issues with the 3G cellular card, uploading images and some of the integration with Google Home, everything has been positive. For a technical person, the installation is pretty easy and there are a lot of how-to videos.
Link's system features are great. It's got Wi-Fi and 2G, so there's dual communication path, but for the larger files that it uploads onto Alarm.com, I prefer to use cellular as it doesn’t take a minute or two to transfer a file. I would like an additional screen to put in my basement which they offered, but the rep talked me out of it 'cause he said they had really bad reviews. They could have a better dual path communication, quality of service, so that larger files go this direction and smaller files go this direction. But other than that, the overall quality of the system including the smartphone features are good and I'm pretty satisfied with my experience.

I recently separated with my ex and I’m living on my own with kids now in a new home but it’s not in a good area so I needed a home security system for security and protection. My sister has the security system from Link Interactive so she referred me and everyone that I contacted when I set up the system was friendly, happy, knowledgeable and walked me through every stuff. The installation was easy and at first, when I was unwrapping everything and taking everything out of the box, it was a lot but the representative walked me through everything and it was a good experience.
I love that I can have the app on my phone and can arm and disarm it. It’s cool and I like it. The sensors fall out and they sent me some extra backing tape but that doesn’t seem to help. Sometimes, they’ll show a window open but it’s not and it’s just the sensor so it freaks me out. But other than that, everything is good. They have great customer service, I’m very happy and I’d recommend it.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying your system and loving that smartphone app! Thanks for being a great customer.

My husband has a lot of night meetings, he's gone a lot and although we live in a safe neighborhood, having a home security system makes me feel safe. My son has been with Link Interactive for a couple of years now and he really likes them so he recommended it to us. Leland, the sales rep, was super helpful, answered all my questions and made sure that I was happy with the equipment we were about to purchase. We had to wait for our tax money to come in and he was great about waiting for that.
The installation was so easy and it didn't take long at all. The only problems we were having is with the front doorframe because it's built out more than most doorframes but we figured a way around it. I use the smartphone app for arming and disarming when we’re not at home. It works great and even if my husband had a little trouble with it, he liked it. He set it off one time when he came home and Link Interactive called right away to find out if they needed to send the police. I told them it was my husband who set it off. It was very loud and it works well so I was really happy with that. I have recommended Link Interactive to my daughter and to someone else. It’s a good system, it has a great rating and it's something that we can bring with us because we will be moving eventually.

I needed something that would detect when someone was approaching my house either in the middle of the night or when I'm not home because I'm in the military and I'm gone a lot. I want to ensure that my wife and my children are taken care of and being protected. We had a home security system before through AT&T and the service was subpar for what we were paying for. I was shopping around and stumbled upon Link Interactive via the internet. I looked up ratings online versus the top 10 home security systems throughout the US over the last few years. I also did some price comparison for what I needed for my home.
The sales was quick and easy. They offered some great service as far as pricing and packaging. So that experience went very well and smooth. But when I got the equipment, the instructions weren't very helpful in installing it. I installed the thermostat via the instructions that they had and anytime my AC ran it was blowing hot air into my house. It was flipped on their end in the setting.
I had an 80-degree house with animals when I came home the next day. I had to hire an electrician to come in and fix some issues with the air conditioning to be able to get it to work. Then the Slim SkyBell that they had had not been working for the past three months. Every time I called to get an update, they'll say it'll be a couple of weeks for a solution but they failed to communicate with me. I haven't gotten a phone call or an email for a solution. The camera that we have outside of our home only records and detects when the motion sensors on the doorbell are set off. The only thing that works are the door and window sensors that connect to the alarm.

Sorry to hear about your issues with the doorbell. I'll have someone reach out.

I've had ADT for almost 30 years and I was going to go with them but in my county, they couldn't put a smoke alarm in so I started looking around. I looked up Link Interactive per Angie's List and some of the other places that survey that sort of thing and they had good reviews. It was comfortable interacting with the sales reps and they were friendly, personable and knowledgeable which are things you like to see. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy and the installation of the system was easy enough. I built a 60 x 40 shop with an upstairs and I needed to have a fire alarm system for the county.
The price range of their monitoring was also less than some of the other companies I looked at. However, I have not been impressed with the service so far. Their fire smoke system has a freeze detector and they incorporated the two together. One is supposed to be getting hot and the other is supposed to be getting cold so I've had a problem with that. It has gone off 10 times, giving me a false freeze alarm and it was 65 degrees. It was upsetting for me and my neighbors. We were like, “What the hell is it going off for?” And it's not a fire. So I called Link Interactive and told them to disconnect the freeze sensor part of it. They did that and for four weeks now, I haven't had any problems. Also, I need more smoke alarms as the county tells me so and I have just one. I’ll be buying more of their monitors but theirs is $60 and I don't think it should cost that much.

I tried to lock it remotely from my iPhone but it wouldn't lock. I was very far away from my house, and it was a big problem. I had to call my friends and they had to come to my house, check everything and lock the door. Link Interactive didn’t fix the problem. I just came home and changed batteries. Nevertheless, their customer service reps were helpful. They answered questions and helped me in doing something with my system.
Also, when I purchased a camera, I didn’t install it because it was a wired camera and it was too big to install. They said that they were going to charge me for video because I had a camera, and I lost some money. In a few years, I paid for a camera and didn't use it. For about a year, I worked on my decision to purchase a home security system. I did some research and I finally pulled the trigger when the time was right. I liked the looks of Link Interactive's technology, and it seemed like it met all my needs. I spoke with one of their sales agents two or three times. I had a complex situation and he helped me get more and more comfortable that what they had would address that need. Then, he helped me finally come up with a configuration that I purchased online. I had an apartment in New York and the installation would have gone quickly, but because I have a house in another building, I ended up having to put in a repeater. The installation took a lot more alterations than I thought it should, but it seems like the system is all up and running. The installers just took a while for it to settle out.
The installation instructions were okay, and for the most part, it was positive. Any negative I've had with regards to the experience was because we were stretching the limits of the wireless technology. The features that are in my system are good. They keep the bad guys out, and I'm trying to leverage as much of the technology as I can. But Link Interactive has to strike a balance between a closed system that they can control the variability of, as I would have liked a little more choice. Overall, the quality of their equipment is pretty good and the system seems to be performing up to expectations. I would recommend them.

I just remodeled my house and I wanted some extra security. Link Interactive's cost seemed to be good and they were a bigger company, so I felt I could trust them. The gentleman I worked with was helpful, answered all my questions, and was low pressure. I unboxed the equipment and everything was set up already, so the installation was straightforward, though it took a little while because I had several sensors that I was using in the house. The system is a lot more advanced than my parents’ old school version which was the regular wired one with the analog keypad.
Overall, everything works well. The system is simple and straightforward. The only downside is as the technology gets more advanced, there could be more points for failure. I get a little wary of things being too technologically advanced that some software might be hacked more easily or not get updated at a certain point. But, aside from that, I like it.

We did everything yesterday, and up to now, they haven't called me yet. I hope there would be no more problems with those sensors. The cost of my Link Interactive system is just right, but the contract is a little too long. It’s three years, and it should just be every two years. So we never knew if somebody was actually monitoring the system. Our neighbors had Link Interactive and they were telling me about it. We went over there and checked out their system and I really liked it. The interactions with their reps were very good. Myna was on top of everything. I had to put off on getting some stuff ordered and so she was very patient with me and she followed up on everything that she said she was going to. Also, I had an issue with one thing and I called tech support, and within five minutes, it was resolved.
On the other hand, the installation was easy. The instructions were definitely detailed enough. My husband who's not technologically illiterate at all would have been able to do it. Link Interactive is definitely very user-friendly. I am also looking to add more stuff to the package that we got. We ordered the thermostat. I had a home security system before to keep my family protected. I got in touch with Link Interactive, they made all kinds of promises, they didn’t come through with them. They said that my panel would be active and the gentleman who signed me up said the same thing. It should be good to go, I said “Okay” and they went through their process. On the day of my flight for a month-long business trip, they called and said they couldn't do anything for me and my panel is not compatible. They said that I had two options, either I pull the panel off the wall, disconnect it, and send it to them, or I pay to get another panel. I told them that the gentleman that I talked to on the phone was doing the process, he went through tests and everything and said that the panel was compatible. I told him my timeline and he agreed.
Now, I am on a month-long business trip without having security in my home and my family is going to remain in the house. They said that I was not getting anything for free. I told them that I was not looking for anything for free otherwise, I wouldn't have signed up for a security system, but I was looking for a vendor that would deliver on what they could. I tried to call their customer service once and I was on hold for 25 minutes. I hung up. I’m currently actively looking for another security company because the situation is terrible and they can't get the basics right. If they're going to address it, I'm interested in it. I have had no security from them and I haven’t even had a chance to use them, but they’ve been charging my card for two months. There have been some burglaries in the next town and it made me get a home security system. After doing a whole lot of shopping around, Link Interactive's price made me go with them. The installation took a while. The installation instruction weren’t as informative as we hoped to be, but what slowed us down was because we wanted to make sure that we were installing the motion sensor correctly. It was not a camera, so we were not able to see what angle the motion sensor is looking at and we had to try and test different angles.
I went with the standard security package. The app was one of the selling points of the package and the alarm that comes with it was amazing for me. But the ability to purchase a hardware outside and then just add it to our home system was a big thing for us. I wanted to purchase other cameras and I had a Nest Hello Doorbell and I couldn’t sign on to the system. What drove us to ADT at first was being able to tie other systems into it, but their monthly price was ridiculously high compared to Link. So, being able to tie a common off-the-shelf hardware into the Link System would be a good feature.
Other than that, since having the system, I feel better when I go out. There was one time when my oven produced a smoke and the smoke detector was close enough that it detected it. I was scrambling to get the food out and it drove me insane when an agent just hopped in right away in the panel. But at the end of the day, I’d rather do that than nothing at all. Customer service is the key for us, especially when it comes to security Link Interactive is doing good so far. Their sales team was not pushy and answered all the questions I asked very patiently.

Link Interactive has been easy to work with. Their reps were forthcoming and easy to work with. They were all very personable. They were honest about the downsides and plus sides. They compared themselves to other companies. But one of the things I really enjoyed was that compared to most companies, they were confident without being cocky. They didn’t try to shut down the idea of me looking at other companies and trying to understand what I wanted. I didn’t ever feel pressure tactics from Link Interactive that I felt with some of the other groups.
This is the best thing for the buck. I think home security systems are relatively expensive across the board. But this one is the one that is most accessible to me. Price was the number one reason I went with Link and the second reason was that I felt like the company was easy to work with and was on my side.
With Link, my wife is not freaked out. I appreciate that Link Interactive has been very on top of their game. It took me a while to activate my system. And they called me periodically about it without trying to irritate me. They were definitely willing to make sure the customer was supported, even outside of what they really need or have to.

Watching the news, with home invasion and break ins, I decided on getting a home security system for the convenience of safety. I called Alarm.com and they referred me to Link Interactive. The rep was courteous, very forthcoming and was upfront about the cost, the services and what they offer. I purchased the system and then I installed it myself, which was easy. Instructions were straightforward and I found a lot of helpful videos on the internet.
I have their basic plan and the system's got great features and it still has room to add more security if I choose to. It's a 2 gig system, and compared to other ones in the market, this one seems to be more user-friendly. Also, Link Interactive is very cost effective compared to others that charge more for the same service. With the system put in, it's a lot easier to sleep at night and I feel protected and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to all of my family and friends. Link Interactive is very upfront and forward, and people can trust them.

Thank you for your recommendation and for sharing your experience with us!

I’ve had several rocks thrown at my window. I purchased a home security system from Link Interactive to address that issue but the main purpose that I bought it for is not working. Initially, I bought the glass break sensors and those didn’t work very well. So, I bought shock sensors that they told me were on the list of compatible devices. Link offered to return some of the items and that I could buy some of the other items. But I was in the middle of trying to figure out the whole shock sensor thing, so I didn’t return the glass break sensors right away. I had the box to return the items that I wanted to return 30 days before the end of the 60-day period. But Link didn’t sell the shock sensors so, I had to buy them on my own on eBay and that took forever. By the time I got the shock sensors, it was past the return period for the glass break sensors.
When I went to return the glass window break sensors, they told me that the time to return them already passed. They also didn’t give me an offer for the different models that they had for the window units. I wanted the unit that had Bluetooth because I’ve got everything in my house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatible and fully automated. But they didn’t tell me that was an option until it was too late. They also told me if I still returned the glass window break sensors, I’d have to return and reinstall everything, too.
When I installed the shock sensors and I asked them what the configuration was, they told me the sensors were not compatible with the system. Then, it took about a month to have somebody tell me what I had to do to set it up. It wasn’t even a complicated setting and it was just one thing that I needed to know. However, by the time that happened, I got another window broken. Now, I finally have them up, but the window sensors would only detect one-half of the window, not the other half. So, it’s been kind of a terrible experience.
At the moment, I have two shock sensors, three window breaks, and outside of that, I have three door sensors for my sliding door and my two doors. The security equipment I got works and I don't have an issue with the quality per se. But there are certain devices that don't fit well with other stuff. For example, even with the shock sensors, it is very difficult for the system to detect when the window opens and closes.
Also, I would have been happy if the system I got was compatible for me to be able to connect to an existing Google Home or Alexa. Right now, I could connect or reconnect it through Alarm.com but all I could do is set the alarm and arm the alarm stay. I would like to be able to arm my alarm away and if the password would be secure, to be able to disarm my alarm either by saying my alarm code or by authenticating me through my phone. I also bought a siren for the other side of my house and that siren has problems connecting.
Other than that, I use the smartphone feature all the time and it's good. It’s a little slow, but most things that are connected have a little bit of a lag. Link’s system is a little expensive, too, and they could be a little cheaper. I wouldn’t recommend them, but I wouldn’t bash them either. And if a friend would ask me about them, I’d tell him that he’s going to have a lot of issues.

Sorry to hear about the devices not working the way you had hoped. We appreciate your feedback.

We recently purchased a house and I talked to one person in the phone from Link Interactive and they’re very helpful. And everything went good. They mailed out the equipment and it was all just do it yourself, home install and everything worked out fine. The installation instructions are great. And then we call them to activate it and that was it. The features of the system are easy to use and it all seems like it’s good quality.

I had ADT for a while. With all these products that are now coming out, I thought I should make my home a smart home. Any type of aftermarket product that I wanted, I had to get it through for everything to work. After a while, I started doing some reviews and I came across Link Interactive. I was also looking at Protect America and a few other ones, and Link was the first one that got back to me. I was also calling another alarm company. There was a hold time and they would say they’d call you back. I called Link and I got somebody really quick so, that was convenient.
In addition, Link offered the same thing for a cheaper price. I could buy whatever aftermarket product that I want as long as it was on Z-Wave and then I could get it linked with the alarm system so, I went with Link Interactive. I was looking at ADT to link my cameras and to get their new upgraded software system and stuff. It was $60 a month and all the equipment together came to about $400 or $600. The sales guy was great and very direct. When we got the equipment, the garage door alarm system wasn’t working correctly. The first rep that I talked to was very helpful with trying to troubleshoot it. Everybody that we talked to before has been very helpful in trying to get things fixed. Once we got it corrected, everything was good to go.
If you’re not used to hooking stuff up, like games and TV's to sound bars, the installation can be a little challenging. The installation instructions were not detailed enough, specifically out of the box. The booklet didn't say to go to YouTube and watch the video. If the booklet had that so you could follow along, that may have been helpful. Once we went to the website or the YouTube channel, that helped. So, the initial process wasn’t clear, but once we dove deeper and went online, then it was easy.
The features on the system are good, everything is up to date and competitive. We use the smartphone features all the time and they are convenient. In addition, the system announces if the front door, the back door, or the garage door is open. With ADT, it would just chime, but you don’t know which door it is. I also really enjoy the identification on the system or the command center. I feel secure with my security system installed and I’m happy with my purchase.

The Link Interactive system was in the home that we bought, which we want for our safety. However, when we set up the entire system, it was a really long process to get things transferred over. The install instructions were detailed enough, but they didn’t include the cameras at all, and they knew that we had cameras. Two weeks later after I set up the app on our phone and got everything set up, I had to email the rep that was helping us how the cameras work. We were advised that we needed to go on Wi-Fi, get them set up, and I spent two hours on the phone getting the cameras set up.
So, for such a big process, that’s something that should have been told to us when we were activating our systems. I wasn’t very happy with that part of the process. Nonetheless, it has been a good experience in a sense that after we lived here a month, someone finally told us how to use the cameras. A girl helped us a lot to get the cameras set up. She was really helpful and professional. I had no idea that it wasn’t recording and so, we had something stolen out of our car, and we had no video of it. Now that we have all the system set up, we can now use both the alarm and the cameras.

We are sorry to hear about your less than pleasant experience. It is our goal to make every process as smooth as possible. We will work hard to continue to improve. Thanks for your feedback.

We didn’t have a home security system, and we were looking for somebody in the area who wanted to do a home install when it was time we get one. I did the installation myself and I just needed a monitoring company. I went through alarms.com to get the reps and called multiple companies. I didn’t really know anything specific about one or another, and some of the others wouldn’t allow me to use the control panel that I had already installed. When I contacted Link Interactive, I already installed a wireless card, and some other things. They had just changed a policy within a day or so of me calling so, they worked with me to utilize the equipment that I had. The installation of their system was straightforward and easy. Since I had everything set up already, I just needed to confirm that the system worked once they activated it and we just tested it to make sure it was calling through and that we could communicate.
We looked for a system with basic services such as the monitoring and the service that they provided, and the features that Link Interactive offered were good. I also have their basic app where I can turn the system on and off. Their sales guy followed up well and I was surprised. Usually, once you talk to them, you don’t hear anything else, or you end up talking to twelve different people. But I was able to get a hold of the same guy and worked through that with him. He went a little bit above and beyond with some questions that I had. He was sending me text message updates because we were trying to get a couple of issues taken care of upfront. Overall, the sales and the tech went really well.

We have our Link System installed the first of February. I had one before but it was home installed and I bought one on eBay and installed it too. Then I decided it didn't have adequate monitoring so I wanted something that was supported better and was monitored. Link also helped me a little bit on my homeowner's insurance. The Link installed easily and seemed to work well and then I got decent support. They call me up every now and then just to check to see how it's working or that they've noticed something in whatever it might be. I appreciate the customer focus, it works well. Additionally, I have called their customer service representatives several times just to get some tips before I started looking it up and the shared videos helped a lot too. They also walked me through some things and I had a door that didn't close right because I'm using it on the garage door so they sent me some things to attach it at no cost.
The features offered in my system are good. I got the geo-fencing and I like how they named everything. So, when you open the door it says back door open. I'm very happy with it. Moreover, I was able to pick the number of door and motion sensors that I wanted, as well as the glass breaks. And then I added some from their standard package. It's flexible. Not only that, everything seems to function well. I don't have any issues.
One of the things they called me about is when I needed to reset my geo-fencing because I noticed that when we drove away and it didn't arm itself. I just got to get around and reset that. The geo-fencing also works with the phone so when you drive away or when you come home, you could disarm it from the phone without having to set off the alarm and then go in and turn it off. Overall, while not much has changed in my sense of security since I work from home, my wife has noticed that when I'm in the shop downstairs, I make some loud noises and the glass break sensor would go off. And she'll come down to make sure I'm alright. I feel better now about taking trips since I got a decent system that somebody is paying attention to.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and please let us know if you ever need anything.

When the system was installed, it was a breeze. Lorex, the brand of cameras I have, was difficult to get a hold of unless I go through Costco. As far as setting up the Alarms.com, I didn't have any trouble getting the information I needed and if I did, I would just go through Costco which would make it very simple. They would be able to troubleshoot and figure it out on very quickly. Everybody at Link was friendly but at one point, I talked to one of their reps and he said that I could discontinue the monitoring and I would still be able to keep the other pieces of it which have the ability to turn things on and off, the alarm and everything else but the thing it wouldn’t do is send out police or anything of that nature. That person also told me that it would be free of charge.
Then when I called back a couple days later, they told me that it’ll be $20 a month and it got me thinking. The only question I’ve had was I had gone down to where I don’t need the monitoring from them. And for what it does, $20 a month seems pricey so I’m actively looking at different systems where I don’t have to deal with that. Within a few years, the system will pay off for itself. Other than that, the quality of the security equipment itself seems to be okay and since we have it, I could just touch my phone and look at my house when I'm away. But every once in a while, it does something weird. But it might be the phone because then, it goes away. Also I wish I could have the audio as part of the package and have the ability of not having to commit paying a price for something that’s automated. Overall it has been a good experience and I would recommend them.

I was moving into some apartment by myself in an area that was known to have cop cars around more often than not. I lived there before, and it was a fine area. But at recent times, it seemed to have gone a little snoot, and I was a bit worried. So, I wanted that extra security, the kind that's better to have it and not to need it when you have it. Link Interactive is my first home security system but I had used others in a workplace.
The Link Interactive representative whom I was talking to was very nice and knowledgeable. He presented the packages that they had, and I picked the features that I thought I would need in my system. I got the basic two doors and the motion sensor. I feel like it was a good choice, but I wished I had gone with the video option. The system was self-installed. The instructions were all pretty straightforward, and I put everything up. I didn’t need anything outside of what came in the box. But the only thing that was kind of iffy was the motion sensor. After I tested all the sensors, the door ones were easy, and I just open the door. But the motion sensor wasn’t really working. Yet it triggers whenever I'm not home and the dog moves around, so I know it works.
I also have the app on my phone. I turn it on when I'm in my car on the way to work and then I turn it off when I get to the house. It's kind of annoying whenever I open the door and the dog runs out, and I have to go disarm the alarm and keep an eye on my dog. So, it's nice to be able to disarm it from my phone before I get inside. That way I can do what I have to do. Also, when I'm upstairs, it's great as I don’t have to walk all the way back downstairs to arm it. The app is really convenient. I went with the three-year subscription, and the cost seems pretty fair considering the system itself came free after contract.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying your system and loving that smartphone app! Thanks for being a great customer.

Link Interactive is awesome and I love them. I already owned a home security system, but the company I had before failed to follow through with the processes. And they haven't serviced my account for a couple of years. I already had some of the products in my home so switching over to a new system was a little bit challenging, especially with overriding stuff as well as adding new products and some new features to the overall platform of what I have.
For example, I have gotten a new a garage system that helps me open and close the garage door. It was something simple, but the old company would not release my garage door information so I had to purchase a new one. And I didn't know how to do it. While the customer service rep at Link was on the phone with me, he sent me a screenshot of what to look for and what button to push to ensure I did it correctly. They have definitely gone beyond the call of duty on their customer service every single time and really helping me through the stuff.
Although I kept on ordering parts along the way, but the installation was a seamless process. I added a smoke detector and a doorbell camera. I have a strobe light I just ordered just a few days ago that's on its way here, and I'm putting it on my upstairs. The process has been going for about a month now because I kept adding more. The equipment is of great quality with a fair price, but I wouldn't be using it without the alarm.com feature. I have referred them a few times because of the positive customer service. Plus, the fact that they took the time to talk to me on the phone and walked me through everything was just amazing. They were really understanding and I could tell on the phone that they were really happy to help. They really have the patience even if sometimes people might be a little frustrated. Link Interactive is a great company.

We had an outfit called Safe Home Systems for three years and it was pretty much of a disaster with them from the beginning. I went looking online for others and wished I did my research before signing up with them because they had such a dreadful online record. I looked around and Link Interactive was one of the highest reviewed. And when I spoke with them, they were courteous and professional in their approach. They knew what they were talking about, they weren't shoving things down my throat, and I could see why people were impressed.
I’ve been with Link Interactive for three months now and so far, the system's features seem to be sufficient. They utilized the same device I had from Safe Home that is used to program the system, took over its running, and sent me another card for it. When the original system was set up with Safe Home, they sent out a third-party to put in the equipment and when we had a problem with the motion detector, the third-party couldn't be bothered. They said they would come out and fix it but it would be a few months. Compared to that, Link Interactive's primary business model involves having homeowners set up the system themselves, which is pretty simple to do. It involves a magnet on one side of the window and a magnet on the other side. When the magnets get too far apart, it means the window is open and it triggers the alarm.
We also had a lot of false alarms with Safe Home and they admitted on not following their own policy during those times. They sent out the Los Angeles police department to the house with no reason then the cops told me that a false alarm cost 350 bucks. Then after a while, the cops stopped showing up and wouldn't come if it was really a problem. With Link Interactive, we only had one false alarm which I assume is because of the advances in technology. Plus, the cost of Link's service is the same as Safe Home's but I like the quality of Link's monitors and that their staff is willing to interact with and explain things to me. It's a competent and professional organization that understands its job and deserves its high ratings.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I did not have to pay anything upfront for the equipment and it was something that I could install myself so I was very happy with them. Everybody else makes it sound very complicated but they made it very simple for me and very soft to make my choice. The installation instruction was self-explanatory and it’s really a no-brainer. I was able to customize my package to make it unique and more my own.
I love the features in my system and I am really happy with them. I also think that their smartphone features are very useful to have. The system is very easy to use. I’m also in the field of technology and I did a self-install. The installation was very simple as every item was labeled.
The system is comprehensive and everything was straightforward. The people at Link did what we told them to do. The only thing that threw me back was the activation because they were not very specific to let us know that it was on demo mode. They told me that I have to call and notify them that they need to activate it. Nobody told us to do that and if we had not inquired then the system would have been in demo mode forever. Installing the system was simple so I just followed the steps and installed it myself. Also, Link's reps were great. I called them to activate the system. They helped me when I was trying to figure out how to plug in my phone's Bluetooth to the device so when I get home, it would unlock itself. I also love the 7-inch touchscreen that I got. We took pictures and videos, and we also emailed back and forth. They said that maybe we’ve got a defective piece, the part that is put on the door. So, we sent that part to them, and they mailed us a new one and told us to quickly throw the old one in the trash.
We got the new one within four days and we put it up. The first three days, it worked great. We left town for a weekend and I kept getting calls from the 1800 line. It didn’t say an intruder broke in, but it said that something had happened to the system. We called some neighbors and they checked, and there was nothing wrong with the house. We got there and that part of the system stopped working again. We could open and close the door and the home piece wasn’t picking it up, so we called Link Interactive back.
Link told us that we didn’t have it low enough, so we put three more holes in our door, and we slid it down, and it still wouldn’t work. When I originally signed our contract with them, they told us that we have 30 days, money-back guarantee, and we can walk away from it. We were into our 25th day and I called back. Every customer service person that we talked to was polite and they tried to help us. But I told them that there was absolutely nothing they could do or say. I didn’t want to be tied to this thing for two years and it did not work. So, if I gave them another week to figure it out, I’m locked and I was not interested in that. So, the rep let us talk to a supervisor. It was the fifth conversation I’ve had with them and we told the supervisor the same thing. The way our house is set up, if somebody breaks in, it’s probably going to be the door that’s not covered.
The rep said that sometimes the door facing the trim doesn’t work. They were not there during the installation, but they appreciate what I’ve had to say about their company. So, they said they were going to send me a UPS sticker, and I have to put the equipment back in the box and put the sticker in the box. I did that and I sent it back. And then last week, for probably six times, I got calls or text messages from Link Interactive. There were messages that the battery on the system was down and needed to be charged. I noticed on March 1st, I’ve been billed again. I called back on Friday last week, and I talked to a supervisor as they told us that they would take us out of the system. They said that that was not an issue and that the equipment I sent had been received. And once they accounted for all the materials, they would refund us for those months that we had paid in and that’s where we’re at today.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are sorry for the issues with that sensor. We appreciate your patience in working with us.

Link Interactive's reviews were good and I liked their customer service. Everyone was very professional and I've had a very good experience with Link Interactive. I really like the mobile app which gives me the ability to access the system from anywhere. The quality of the sensors seemed to be a little weak, though. I had several sensors that were defective and I had to have them replaced. But, everything else is good.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying your system and loving that smartphone app! Thanks for being a great customer.

We got a security system so we can monitor the employees coming in and out and make sure that our office is being protected when no one is there. We liked Link Interactive for the pricing and the total value that I have to pay. It serves the purpose of getting an alarm, being notified. I can do my monitoring on the phone and the apps. We have three offices and, in that office, we have used Vivint as well. As far as Link goes, it's not a premium brand like Vivint. But the rep was very knowledgeable. He told me what I had to pay out the door and that was a big factor why we selected them.
The installation’s more do-it-yourself, though it was relatively easy. There was one part where the sensor didn’t come on, and I had to call it in to find out what happened to it. The app from Alarm.com didn’t show me why the sensor was off. I was trying to go through the panel to find out what the status of the sensor was. It wasn’t that friendly to look for it and it took me some time. To this day, it's not that friendly of an app. In Vivint's app, when I see the probe, it can tell me green. If it's grayed out, that means the sensor is offline. That was something I was looking to see.
But the Link system has the features that we need. The Alarm.com also has more functions and I can have more users and accounts. I have another user who's helping me to monitor the office as a business, so that's working perfectly. The Alarm.com is something new and the function is easy. I can push the alert, and it sends an alert. I see the people who are connecting it and I like the alarm that way. That’s convenience for me to check the records and see who turned it on last. Although, the GUI is a bit outdated and could be better. I was looking for a more colorful flash color. Other than that, I'm okay with it. The feature works fine and the function works.
I called in last time to inquire about the proper procedure in the event that it's triggered and whose responsibility it is to call the police. Some of those policies are not clearly defined. As the end user, we ask these questions when things come up. It came up in the office, and I wasn’t quite sure how it should be done. I was hoping to get more clarification on how that would work. The rep put me on hold for a time, talked to somebody and got me the answers. I'm happy with that.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy to hear you got the help you needed!

I wanted a security system for when I'm away for an extended period of time. I also wanted to have better knowledge of what's going on in the house. I figured that having Link Interactive would be a good idea since I wanted a do-it-yourself home security system with monitoring. Not only were they one of the top-rated providers in the net, their website also allows me to select and purchase the components I was interested in. Also, they were cheaper than the other company I was considering to take a peek. Installing the system was easy. I decided to start out with just door sensors since I'm not worried about the windows. So far, the quality of the equipment is fine. In addition, their smartphone features are good and I'm happy with it.
The one thing I wasn't impressed by is when I had to fill out something on the website and I thought I had purchased it. I got a call a day later asking if I wanted to finish signing up since there was a contract. At that point, they offered me a discount so that was nice. Other than that, I called their customer service for a couple of questions that they were able to answer. My alarm went off once and they immediately called and then I told them that I didn't want to escalate it to the police.

Happy to hear you got all the help you needed, and please let us know if you ever need anything else!

Link Interactive had the best price and the technology I wanted. And when I called, their sales rep was great. We started off with me picking the features that I wanted then she worked me down to a package that was less money. It was a very good experience. The quality of service was very good and they have great customer service too. They get you what you need, not what they want to push on you. I have the Qolsys IQ 2 and I use a lot of its features. Before, my house was wired with the sensors but she convinced me to go with the wireless sensors and that worked out really good. That way, I didn't have to wire in my system. I also have the smoke detector and instead of replacing all my units, I put that one device up there and I didn't need to replace any of my smoke detectors. The system has been very intuitive and easy to use, and I’d probably never have to call them again.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I already had a home security system but I became a bit disgruntled with ADT so I started looking for alternatives. Link Interactive is very good and it's been a very positive experience overall although there are two growth areas that they would have to take note. One of the first panels that they sent me was bad and they had to send me a second one. But it was fine and the customer service experience of having that replaced was good. And the other thing is I felt like as somebody who didn't really want to have to install my own system and there weren't a lot of alternatives to ADT out there. I went ahead and took the leap and Link Interactive’s system works well. All the reps, when I called and talked to them, were phenomenal, very friendly, and very effective.
But I would love to see more channel partners and some local alarm companies that are certified to work with their equipment because it's not something that I wanted to have to do at this stage in my life. During installation, we highjacked most of my ADT sensors and that process was very good and very positive. I contacted the sales guy and he walked me through taking some photos of the insides of the sensors. Then, they confirmed that it would work and they told me to trust them and call them when I get the kit. They said that they’d walk me through how to load all of those sensors and recognize the sensors. And that all worked fine. The instructions were good and the personnel were unfailingly patient and effective.
The features are very good. My wife and I have both been very happy with the way that the app integrates and I'm looking forward to when I have some more time using some of the other Z-Wave devices to try to add a few smarter features to the home like hanging crude type of stuff. So far, so good and we're very happy with that. However, the web pages that I can go to on Link Interactive that shows me some of the options for some of the Z-Wave compatible devices are out of date and incomplete like I bought a lamp and switch. It was completely different than the one that was on the webpage. It’s fine but it's an area where Link Interactive could up their game a little bit if they wanted to. The cost is also very good and that’s their clear strength.
I've already recommended Link Interactive to several people with the caveat to make sure they feel like having to do all of that stuff on their own. A couple of colleagues are going to probably do it. I hope it's a really successful endeavor. Link is an old company but this is rebranding and new go to market strategy. It's great and I am particularly a fan of their being competitors of ADT.

Thank you for your recommendation and for sharing your experience with us!

I had a home security system for 13 years from different companies. I have tried ADT and AT&T. But when I came up with Link Interactive, I ended up choosing them. Their monthly charges are much less when compared with ADT and AT&T but a little bit more expensive than the newcomers like Xfinity Home Security. Xfinity is offering the same service, including the camera, for $22 a month, but they don't have the glass breaking sensor technology. Link Interactive charges $35 with everything included, like cameras, video recording and home automation. ADT had double the prices and AT&T charges $60 a month or higher.
I ordered the Link system online and I did the installation myself. Sometimes I messed it up and I have used different tools, but I'm not a professional installer. When the system was activated, there was an incident that happened at 4 o'clock in the morning. The sliding door opened, but nobody told me about it and checked if everything was okay. So I wondered if the system was really working. They told me that I have to call and activate it. It was not clear with the original order since I was doing everything by myself. If I went to a sales agent, she might have told me about it. But after that, I sent the email to activate the system right away.
The home automation is truly an advantage, but they work only with certain companies for the doorbell, the light switches, certain lights, and so on. For example, I have a ring doorbell and they work only with the SkyBell company. I can connect that doorbell to the system, but it would be nice if I can also add different brands to their system. However, at this time, everything is what I would use with all the latest technologies and features. I have a a Lorex brand home security camera, but I had to go with a different camera that they had. I have the ring doorbell, but I'm using multiple apps right now. For all the lighting switches and the home automation, I have a separate app. Moreover, I have to get Amazon Echo to control what I cannot control. In addition, they have a different thermostat, while I have the Ecobee.

Thanks for the review. We continue to integrate with more manufacturers.

Prior to switching over to Link Interactive, we've always had an alarm system to feel safe, secure and protected. My previous provider's rate was really high, and they were also charging extra for home automation, which was outrageous considering a lot of other companies were offering home automation with their home security system. It was pleasant talking to the people at Link Interactive. They were very professional and upfront about all the costs, and they were willing to work with us in terms of price and equipment. However, we had some hiccup. They made some promises and I had to remind them several times to get it to go through. But in the end, it worked out, so I was satisfied with the whole service.
The smartphone’s Bluetooth feature was one major plus about the system, and we love it. It is private to us, so even though the equipment was pricier, it only makes our life a lot more convenient. I did a self-install and it was straightforward. The only thing we had to change was the panels. We already have the door sensors and the motion sensors from the previous provider, and they were compatible with that of Link Interactive. We took down the whole panel and put in a new a new one, and then put in the power cable. Everything was through Alarm.com which we were familiar with, so we knew how to put in codes.
The home automation works just the way that we wanted to, and the connection between the panel and the home automation equipment is seamless. Link Interactive has door locks, so if I lock the door, the panel picks it up really quick and knows that it's locked. And when we unlock it, it's immediate too. In terms of security, it has all the features that we want, but in terms of home automation, I have to use another system to control the lighting, the entertainment system, and thermostat. I wanted everything to be in one system. We hoped that Link Interactive’s home automation would support everything, but it doesn't. Maybe in the future, it would, but for now, it's fine and we just have to deal with two systems.
Link Interactive’s monthly rate is really good for the service, and the cost of the equipment is worth it, so everything is fair. The only concern about the functionality of the system was the timing. We had one incident where we forgot to turn off the alarm and left it on for about 30 seconds, and they didn't respond or call us at all. That worried us a bit, so hopefully, that's not going to be the case when a real incident occurs. Nevertheless, Link Interactive’s phone support is really short as far as wait times, and their team is really helpful and responds to emails as well. The system is very good, and I'm happy with its overall quality and functionality.

Happy to have you as a customer. Thanks for the review!

I needed a security system and purchased one from Link Interactive based on their reviews, pricing and customer service when I spoke to them. The sales rep I spoke with gave me information, then put together how they are in comparison with different companies. She helped me paint a picture in my mind of the differences between the different home security system companies and Link. She made a side by side comparison in terms of the security devices they use, the pricing and the contracting. Moreover, their customer service has been good and friendly. Every time I called them, they were happy to help with my questions.
The installation was a little painful. I had an existing security system and I wanted to use all my existing sensors, but it didn’t work with their set-up. It was a little bit of a drag, but they came through and helped me choose and get all new devices. My system has all the smart features and they are helpful on the go. When you forget to lock and arm the system, you can still do it once you come out and don’t have to go in again.
The price is good, though I would appreciate it if it was $5 cheaper a month. Overall Link Interactive is upfront and everything is working well so far. Their security system is good and they have two varieties in their panels. Moreover, they give a 30-day trial period, no questions asked. If you don’t like it, they will take it back with prepaid shipping. I would definitely recommend them.

We were looking at the different services for a security system and came across Link Interactive online. Their units are ones that are more self-installed and we liked what they had to offer us. We gave them a call to look out if there were any specials going on, and they did have at the time for the day that I called. After a week, I determined what products we wanted and the rep was able to get us a good deal and get us a couple of things free so it was a good experience. The installation was super easy. It was all sticking the pieces up and they had everything already set up for us before it shipped so it was just a matter of sticking things on the walls and being done. It was fast. The instructions that were included were great and it was self-explanatory and very easy. I didn’t have too many questions while we’re setting it up, and the few that I did have, the reps were able to answer quickly.
The features in my system are cool. One of the reasons that I went with Link Interactive was the panel that they offer. It was the one that we’ve been looking at. It was a bit more modern than some of the other ones and had a lot more features in it. We got what we wanted because we didn’t need some of the items in the package so we put together our own package. The overall quality has been good so far. I use the alarm.com app and that’s nice to have. The system has been working pretty good.
I was happy with the cost of it and we were able to put all of our payments over the three-year terms with no interest. The cost was reasonable compared to a lot of other systems that we saw out there. We now have a sense of security knowing that the system’s there if we see anything weird and I’m alone, we can make sure the alarm’s set. We feel good about that. Link Interactive is a very professional system and has a lot of good features. It’s also a lot less money.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the equipment. We appreciate your feedback!

We moved into a new house and purchased a home security system from Link Interactive. They were ranked well and had comparable prices. Their customer service reps have all been friendly and nice. The person we spoke to initially to learn more about their system was very patient and answered all of our questions thoroughly.
The features they offered were what we needed. There was a product that wasn’t working like it was supposed to. The smoke detector part of the Firefighter wasn’t syncing with our smoke detector as they were incompatible. They took care of that issue by letting us search for a new product and offered something compatible for the same price. Getting the system installed was a little time consuming though, since I didn't know anything about putting things up. But other than that, the system seems to be performing well and the cost is appropriate too. It provides an appropriate security system and seems to be what we need at least.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and please let us know if you ever need anything.

At night time, I want to be alerted right away if someone’s breaking in. The Link reps were very helpful, very direct, and informative. They answered all of my questions. During installation, I had to use double sided foam that I purchased on my own so it was more secure. Overall, the installation was easy. The instructions that came included were good. I like the weather app and it’s cool with it, and my favorite part would be the app on my phone that’s really helpful. The quality of the equipment is good and it works well.
The overall functionality and performance of the smart phone also works really well. There has only been one or two glitches where it didn’t register and it said “system error” but it worked great after that. The cost is reasonable and affordable for the features that I got. I wanted to put Link outside but it fell right off. I would have to screw it in because I’m in Ohio and it’s too wet outside and cold. I had ADT Pulse at my previous house and I knew Alarm.com had a lot of better features so I filled out the form from them and Link Interactive was the first and the only provider that called me back within the first three days. Also, the technology that Link Interactive uses with alarm.com is superior to ADT's. Their rep called me and we talked about security for about half an hour. He worked out a proposal and emailed it to me. I wrote him back and made some changes. He made the changes and then I bought it. It was really easy. The installation was easy as well since everything came pre-configured with labels on it. I just had to stick the sensors on the windows and plug it in.
They lack one feature in the standard package, where I can set my alarm on and off at certain times of the day. They told me I would have to have a commercial plan if I wanted to do that. That was a feature that ADT had with their base plan. I can set it to turn on every night at midnight and turn off at 5:00 AM. I am disappointed that Link Interactive is holding out on their residential customers. The app is great and it’s three years ahead of the competition. It has the best camera capability and is responsive. And it works with my Apple watch. It costs $20 a month more than what I was paying ADT but it’s worth it.
In addition, it has a better value when you install the system yourself. I personally spent $2,000 on accessories to have it implemented. I have nine cameras, 31 sensors in my house, garage door sensors, and automatic locks. My house is probably one of the more automated houses out there. If I were to go with a traditional provider like ADT, they would charge me $200 plus for a sensor, which they’d install for free. Link Interactive sells sensors for 30 bucks and the only configuration involved with it is peeling the sticker and slapping it to a door or plugging it in and plugging your lamp into it. It's a very, very good value.

I had an issue with ADT, which I had for 10 years, that they got us a fine. I hired them to put an alarm in my house and I pay them to monitor it. But they never registered my alarm. They never told me I had to register that alarm with the county which resulted in a $175 fine. And they didn’t want to pay it for us. They're no good over there and it wasn't just that, there was always an issue. Like you can make a phone call, change something on your account, and it just doesn’t get changed. It’s a badly run company and it’s overpriced. There’s nothing proprietary about it. We had no choice but to leave. But we were not getting rid of the alarm. It's not a temporary thing. To us, the theory is that you live in a house, you have an alarm. We looked for a different company and switched to Link Interactive.
Everyone has the same product. They all use and resell Alarm.com’s product and put their logos on it. Basically, Alarm.com is the one that’s issuing me the app to control the alarm via phone. They all use the same hardware and use the Qolsys panels. So, the hardware on any alarm system you use is going to be the same, even my ADT alarm. You're not going to get anything different by going to a different company. So, it came down to pricing and Link had the cheapest price for home automation/home monitoring. Not only did we get the monitoring but we were able to do the lights, and the thermostats if you want and the video cameras. ADT charges $50 a month for that and the other ones that I came across when I was looking for a new alarm system varied from Link. But Link gave me a monthly fee that’s $6 cheaper than everybody else. Plus, they gave us a good deal on a new panel.
They have a package of three door sensors, a motion sensor, and a panel but they could have been a little bit more helpful. Instead of giving me three doors and one motion, I would have taken two motions and no doors. It would have been more helpful if I could tell them what I want but they won't do it. Price-wise, they were still made out because they were giving me the less dollar. And I was able to keep all my sensors and I just moved it over to the new panel. I signed the contract with them so I'm locked in for three years and we’ve been paying 31 up to 40 a month.
It was fairly easy with their customer service reps but the hours of operation could be better. They’re not available on Sunday’s unlike with ADT where you can call pretty much anytime you want and there would someone there to help you. That’s one thing I didn’t like. But if you call them there in the middle of business hours, they answer the phone really quick. There’s no wait time and they help you. And they’re smart. Every single person I spoke to understands the way their system works which is good. You can call with an issue and if it still doesn’t work, you call back, they’ll pick up where you left off, and they understand the way it works. They understand what your issue was. So, they’re really good with communication and I was happy with that.
I installed everything myself and it was easy. I did it on the phone with them and it was fairly simple. They showed me how to do one and I did the rest of them. It’s something the average person should be able to do fairly easy. But if you can’t, they answer the phone and they tell you what to do. They’re there if you need help which is good. But I have some pieces from my old unit that don’t work with the new unit. 95% of the stuff is not compatible like my water leak sensors and I wish they would have known that. Maybe we could have worked out a deal when I was signing up at that point. I would like to think that they just didn't know any better as opposed to thinking that they didn’t tell me just to get me on board.
Compared to my old system, it’s night and day. It went from old technology to cutting edge which to me is great. I love it and the equipment is perfect. And the cost is one thing I’m definitely happy about them. I'm paying less and I have newer technology. I would recommend Link Interactive. But if you’re paying $29 for the same service, stay where you are. There’s no reason to pay more. If comparing apples to apples, there’s no reason to change unless you’re having an inferior product and you want to change it.

Thanks for your feedback. Thanks for being a valued customer!

I have been looking into home security systems for a while now. I keep travelling more because of work and as my family grew I wanted to make sure that they are well-monitored and protected since I’m not there all the time. I’ve had an older system, which was about 10 years old, with real-time monitoring but the sensors and the value of it was not the best 10 years later. And compared to that our Link Interactive system is light-years ahead. I want a do-it-yourself system and to be able to modularly build it if I see the need. I got for instance, a doorbell camera. That wasn’t a part of the package. I bought basically an introduction package and then I added a bunch of different sensors and cameras into it to customize it for my needs. So I got the main unit and the panel, and a few sensors. I ordered about eight different glass break sensors, four more door window sensors and three internal cameras and the doorbell camera.
Link’s sales side was very good. They were very responsive and good to communicate. They explained it to me and I was on the phone with them going over every detail of every sensor for an hour and a half. And after I installed the system the tech support was also helpful. Though there would be some stuff that would be good to improve. For instance my biggest problem is I work during the week and when I come home their tech service is closed and their tech support is also closed on Sunday. They work regular hours, which I understand, so the only time I have that I can talk to them is Saturday morning. And it was a little frustrating for me having to wait until Saturday to communicate problems especially in the beginning when I had a lot.
The manuals for installation were helpful and the hardcopy diagrams in the boxes that came with the system were adequate for me to assemble it. And with basic assistance I was able to install it in a short time. It would be good however to have some detailed guide for different parts of the equipment, like sensors and the panels, available on the website -- have something we could go through or download directly and then take a look at for some of the description and the alarm verbiage. Those things are standard. There’s a quick setup guide but I couldn’t see anything that had detailed settings and capabilities and spec sheet. Some of them might be available in the alarm.com’s website which is even more complicated, convoluted and less helpful than the Link website. I had to call the tech support all the time.
Even when buying a cellphone it comes with guides and manuals which we hardly ever look at but when we need it, it’s good to have. I would expect the same thing from alarm hardware. On the other hand maybe they’re thinking that if somebody who wants to cross-engineer these and come up with a way to hack them that they’re giving away all the blueprints. I can see both ways but there has to be some media that gives enough support.
Another issue that I had was the inability to customize my own alarm profiles. Say I want to only arm this part of the house. I want to alarm the door sensors or my outdoor sensors which are in the gate, yard and the driveway but I don’t want anything in the house. There are other companies that can provide that. And I was under the impression this smart panel was going to be able to do that. I’m disappointed that it didn’t. I’m basically stuck with arm stay, arm away. And I can’t bypass sensors which is not what I’m looking for. And most importantly I cannot bypass sensors from the alarm.com app, only from the panel when I’m home. And that is a huge drawback. Like on days that my gardeners come in to do my yard. With nobody in the house they will have to open the yard door, which they have a key for, but the alarm would go off. I cannot disarm remotely to let them in. So we don’t arm the yard entrances at all on those days and it’s very frustrating.
However, the app is very good in many aspects to be able to watch, respond and to be able to arm, disarm. And it would be very nice to be able to create profiles that with one click only arms certain parts of the security system. If I’m bypassing the gate every time, instead of me going and checking that every time, I can say, “All right. Arm without gate profile.” I press that and it happens. ADT uses that customization. Also, another shortcoming of the app is the doorbell camera and the integration of that. When the doorbell rings, I don’t want to have to log in because that is five to 10 seconds, depending on where I am. By that time it might be too late and people might have turned away. If somebody rings my bell I expect that to pop up on my phone right away. And ring.com does that.
Another thing that I have, which is not a big deal, is that during the sales they told me I was going to be able to use some of my old sensors. But I wasn’t able to use anything. My old alarm was not that old, with some of the devices and sensors at about three years old. And I had two very nice internal cameras that I cannot use anymore. I was disappointed with that. But Link’s hardware is top-notch quality. The sensors are almost impossible to tamper with. It is also very good on false alarms. One of my biggest problems with my older alarm system was that the dogs kept tripping them. Those of Link are rugged. And there are a lot of redundancies built into it. Like, if the power goes out or my Wi-Fi gets disconnected my alarm system is still there. Those are all very important features that I appreciate and it makes me feel safer. I would definitely recommend Link.

My experience with Link Interactive has been good so far. Our home was broken into so I decided to get a home security system. I originally went with another provider, but when I went ahead and expedite the service to us, it was lost. I had to cancel and sign up with Link Interactive instead. The sales rep that I dealt with was helpful. He was giving a decent deal at first, then, he matched what the other provider was giving and then beat it. He was good. Also, the installation went fine. We ordered a garage door sensor and it's only in the back. I told the representative over the phone about the garage door that we had and he sent us the sensor for it, but it wasn't compatible with our garage. I contacted Link Interactive again and they sent out another package that was supposed to be compatible with it. But it turned out it wasn't. That was the only downside that we had. As far as the rest of installation, it went okay.
The features of our system are good. The smartphone has worked out very well and I like it. It recognizes the Bluetooth when I return. I also had sensors on front doors and windows. And the indoor camera and one motion sensor. Their equipment is high quality. The only issue I've run into is the little adhesive pieces they stick to the door and window sensors. The sliders get close a little too hard that they would shake off. Nevertheless, Link Interactive has a great customer service and one of the fair prices. Our sense of security has been much better. It's nice to have that peace of mind to be able to close the door.

Happy to hear you got all the help you needed, and please let us know if you ever need anything else!

Link Interactive's home security system was affordable. Their reps were helpful and pleasant to talk to, and they were able to give me anything I needed. The installation instructions could have been a little bit more detailed. Also, syncing the items to the IQ panel is a little difficult. But other than that, the installation was easy. I customized my package a little bit and I added a window sensor and window break. I also use the smartphone features and it's cool. I like that I can disarm and arm everything off of my phone. The quality of some of the stuff could have been a lot better, though. Since some of the sensors look a little cheap, it should have been a little bit cheaper like $30 a month. Still, I feel good about having Link Interactive.

I have a security system to keep my house secure. I got one from Link Interactive and I can do pretty much what I want with it - add, take off, or set any equipment. Its features are great and everything I could want in a system. I can control my alarm from outside and inside the house. I can also create a barrier. Then, when I walk into the house, everything will open and the lights will go on as if I'm some kind of magician. I like the mobile app the most because I can control everything from my phone. It's not arbitrary, plus, I can arm or disarm my house from down the block if I forget, or I could walk up to it with the Bluetooth feature and it will unlock itself. I used Slomin's before and compared to Link, it was just proprietary. I had to deal with what they had and there was no upgrading unless I wanted to upgrade the whole system. They wanted to charge me a bunch of money, too, which was ridiculous.
Link's customer service and sales teams were excellent and very helpful. They were a little too enthusiastic but they were just aiming to please me. They were 10 times better than what I had before. I did everything myself during the installation and it was very quick. I had a couple of questions so I called Link and they sent me schematics. They also made me look at a couple of videos. It was a breeze and I don't know if I've done anything easier than that. I'm totally confident in this system because I set it up. I've had enough experience with Slomin's clowns to know what I want and don't want. I would tell others about my experience with Link and I'm sure that they would purchase the system, too.

We did research and Link Interactive seemed pretty user-friendly. And we did a self-install, that was what we were looking for. It's easy to set up. However, there's a couple of problems with some of the equipment. First, I had a faulty fire alarm that caused us actual alarm to be set off and fire department showed up. That was the biggest thing. But I called, disarmed it and then I came back to work. And when I got back home, I called and I was like,"Hey, this is what happened." And they helped walk me through getting it corrected. I haven't had any problem with it since. Second, I had a faulty window detector. It was reading the window was open when it was closed and I swapped the battery out and that was it. Outside of those two problems, everything was fine. And if I needed any help with anything, they're more than happy to help.

Glad Customer Service was able to resolve this for you. Thanks for your feedback.

I just moved into a new house and I feel great with my decision to go through with Link Interactive. They offer top-of-the-line technology versus competitors. Our system has a touch screen and all of the standard sensors that you would see in any other home security system, wireless door sensors, window sensors and motion sensors. I also added some smoke alarms. Plus they use Alarm.com’s technology so it's great. The system was a do-it-yourself so the installation was easy. We feel secure with the equipment, especially my wife.
They were easy to work with too. The sales rep kept me updated and was very thorough in communications. We spoke most of the times over the phone and we also had a lot of our interaction over email. Their customer service is much better than my previous provider's as well. They were able to conduct some testing over the intercom and the test screen when I wanted to on demand. They were very supportive and able to do that for me over the phone.

Link Interactive seems to have the best monitoring and pricing. And the crash-and-smash was included in the entry-level monitoring. I've called them a few times in setting up and on a few different things and they've been good and resolved my situation every time. I installed the mid-range system myself and the instructions were easy to follow. I started with a base package then I added a bunch of components, and the process was really easy. The system seems to be of high quality and it was reasonably priced. Everything feels more secure and I like the mobile app. I've already referred a couple of people and told them it's easy to operate and it works well.

I had been shopping around for home security systems because there's been an increase in crime in the area that I live in. Also, I have medical issues and I wanted to make sure that I don't have to wait to get the emergency I need should I need them because the phone service we have in this area uses cellular technology, and it always has my phone number associated with communities 80 to 100 miles away from where I actually live. I found a website that listed top 10 alarm service companies, and Link Interactive was number three on that list and it was within the affordable price range. So I called them and I was pleased with the attentiveness of the customer service and the products that were available.
Everyone I talked to was extremely helpful, and they answered any questions that I had. There was no high-pressured salesmanship. Everybody was pretty mellow. I was very certain about what I wanted, so calling them was just a matter of asking what we needed to do to get it set up. I did the self-install and it was pretty easy. The only thing that I needed the systems with was the actual making sure that all of the internal programming aspects of it were set. Many of them were preset before I got the equipment, but I wanted something fine-tuned and specific to what my needs were and also the size of my living quarters. So we did that, and it was a little bit more time-consuming because there were a lot of screens that I had to get through on the control panel. Then I had to enter in certain variables as told to me by customer technical support.
I have a key fob and there is a button that’s just an asterisk, so I asked Link Interactive if there was any use for that, and they said, “No. That’s just sort of an extra button at this point. The company is trying to figure out what to do with it.” I told them that it would be helpful for me since I'm using that as an all-purpose device. I have that with me at the end of the night when I retire and it's sort of a panic button.
I told Link Interactive that it would be a good way if they could program it to be strictly EMS, so if that’s pressed, they're getting an immediate call similar to the panic button system. I didn’t go with the panic button only because I already wear a set of dog tags that are medical alert on a ball chain. I also have a religious metal I wear, and I don’t want to add another device around my neck. The key fob was something that I thought I could bring with me wherever. If I'm in another room or in the shower, I could just place it on the sink and I could reach it if I needed help. My needs are fairly simple and I'm satisfied with what I have available to me. Everybody that I spoke with at Link Interactive was extremely polite and very easy to work with. They did not make me feel like I was infringing on anybody's lunch time.

I got Link as a replacement for my other system. The main reason we went with Link Interactive was because they were the cheapest or they had the best deal on hardware and stuff. For what I wanted or what we needed to replace our old system, some of the major vendors wanted $1,000 where Link only wanted $100 upfront. And it was easier to set up payments and stuff. It's worth the money.
Their system is more intuitive and there's a lot more features. They have an Apple watch app where I can arm my security system when I'm leaving my house without having to get my phone out. It's simple and easy to use. I showed my wife how to use it. Their app is a lot better and more up to date than the other security system that I had. The interactions have been relatively easy with their rep, and I haven't had any issues as far as them hounding me with calls or trying to sell me a bunch of stuff that I didn’t want. I told them what I needed and they gave me exactly what I needed. I set everything up myself. Everything came in on the day that they said it would come in, as far as it being shipped out. Everything was pretty self-explanatory to set up and install. I love all the features of the system and they're all really nice. I chose a package that was already set up and everything that I needed was there. It has topnotch quality and I'd recommend them.

I love my Link Interactive system. Link was not the only one that I was researching and had contacted but I liked that Link had the flexibility in the contract that I needed. And I wanted a home security system not necessarily for when I'm away. I and my kids are at home most of the time because my husband works a lot. He travels a lot. So, it is a peace of mind for when I and my children are at home.
Link's customer service reps treated me great. They offered up information that I didn't even think about to even ask. There was one gentleman who really helped me out with my installation. We talked on the phone for 15 minutes. He sent me photos and I sent him photos to show me how to set up my sensors with crown molding and everything. He was extremely patient with me. Even the young lady that I spoke with when I first started researching Link Interactive, was very helpful, informative, and very upfront.
My system does exactly what I purchased it to do. I feel safe and it's easy to use. My eight-year-old son knows how to arm and disarm the system. And when I'm away from my house, the ability to arm and disarm from my cell phone is amazing. The system is a do-it-yourself and it's simple. And I put sensors on myself. And if I can do it, anybody can do it. I would definitely tell a friend that Link Interactive is one of the best out there. I have a good feeling that if something was to happen in my house, Link would be on it. And I also like the two-way call where Link can speak to me through my system. It's very cool.

Thanks for you feedback. Glad the install went smoothly! Please let us know if you ever need anything.

We haven’t had a security system in our house, and I wanted to see how it works. Link is one of the highest rated, and is also DIY, so I went with them, and their customer service was very good. Their system was DIY, and it was easy for me since I’m a network engineer who builds networks. They the latest technology as far as the panel goes. They have the new IQQ panel, and I like the features. On the surface, it seems to be good, however, we’ve already had a problem with it. It went out, and they’re sending up another one. So, that has been resolved. Other than that, Link has the best price, and their support is really good.

Sorry to hear you had some issues with the panel. I am confident we will make it right and get you protected. Thanks for being our customer!

We moved to a new home and wanted to get a security system for it. I looked at online reviews which helped me narrow down the list of companies. I called those companies and were getting quotes and comparing the services, and Link Interactive was the cheapest and had more features, too. After getting a quote and talking about things with my wife and once we were on the same page of yes, we moved forward with getting a security system. The person I talked to at Link Interactive when I was getting a quote was really great. He was able to customize things to what the house needs and gave me some good discount and incentives as well. So, he did a really great job. And the process of getting everything set up was as it should be, and everything in the mail got sent to me.
Our system was a self-install one, so I just plugged the tablet interface type of thing into a wall outlet, and set up the motion sensors, and put on the door sensors as well. We have three cats and we’re still trying to work on the motion sensors. There are different sides to motion sensors, and we put them all along the higher settings, so the smaller animals wouldn’t set them off. But if we put it on the away mode, our cats seem to keep setting off some of the sensors.
We’ve moved around some of the sensors to try to put them in areas where the cats may not frequent as much, but that’s still an issue that we are having. We didn’t start doing the monitoring for a while, for at least a few months while we’re trying to work this out just because of that issue, and we still haven't really found a great solution to it. We’ve been trying to do a few trial and error things on our own first to see if we could just figure it out. But since we haven't been able to do that for a few weeks, I will be reaching to somebody at Link Interactive. Besides the cat issue turning on the motion sensors, everything has been working well.
I like most of our system's features. The sensors were really nice and easy to install. The user interface with the touchscreen is nice, too. It’s all in color which our previous one didn’t have. It would be great if there’s a way to turn down the volume of the sounds or the beeps when you’re hitting anything on there, but I can do silent features with it. My wife and I both have the smartphone app. So, that way, we can get notifications, and we use it if we want to turn on or arm the system. I set up alerts, so if for whatever reason our system isn’t armed by 8 AM, we’ll get a notification, that way we can turn it on from our phone. So, we like that.
Having to have all the equipment, all the sensors for the doors and the motion sensors and the user interface, I was shocked at how competitively priced it was compared to other systems that I was looking at. So, it was great. The monthly monitoring is pretty much what other companies are offering, so there wasn’t too much of a difference there, but Link really excelled in the upfront cost of the installation of all the hardware. Since having Link in our home, we have more peace of mind. My wife and I, we have different weekend schedules. So, there are days when she’s just home by herself and she gets freaked out if she’s at home by herself. But I don’t worry as much and she doesn’t seem to worry as much.

We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your system and that it is providing you with the peace of mind you deserve! Thanks for all your feedback and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever have any questions.

We had a burglary in this house. Before that, we had big dogs and we never really worried about being broken into. But we had a dog die recently and the other dog was still there, but the burglars brought the dog in with them when they broke into our house and also broke down our backdoor. It was bit disconcerting and it changed the way we looked at things.
So the next day, my wife did some research and we got an alarm system right away. Link Interactive was in the top 5 on whatever list she looked at. We also looked at what we needed versus what we have to get and pay for, and Link was cheaper than what my neighbors have. There was a lot more product than we needed but Link offered stuff that was better for us, so we went with them. Also, their packages were dialed down enough that we weren’t getting extra products. We didn't need to automate the whole house since it's small so, it was nice that we could have very simplistic and useful features.
I talked to their salesperson a little bit and there were a few preliminary questions. Then he started asking us how many doors and windows we had, and what did we want to include to our security system. After we let him know, he told us how much it was going to cost and what the process would be. I asked him some questions about how they would install the equipment and he let us know that it was simple to do. Then we asked for some extra signs and stickers to put around the house and the yard. He provided that to us at no extra charge, so, that was really nice. He also said that he's got Link at his home, too, and talked about his experience.
But mostly, what we really liked about Link is that, my parents and brother have ADT and our neighbors have something different, and they all pay a lot more for the same thing that we're getting. So, we were happy that Link is a really high quality and we’re not having to pay a whole lot for it. We’re paying 30 bucks a month whereas the other competitors that were right up in the top 5 with them was twice that or more.
So far, we like our Link Interactive security system. The stuff showed up five days after we ordered and the installation was easy. The equipment came with a short book that walked us through it, plus, the monitor itself helped us with the installation. When we ordered it, they asked us to name all the different doors and windows so they set all that stuff up before they sent the equipment to us. We also got all the sensors listed. They all had numbers on them and those numbers correspond to a sheet that they gave us in the package that said where they’re supposed to go. The only problem we had was when one of the sensors didn’t want to stick to the binding agent that was bound to the wall. So, I did something different to do it.
A week after I had it all set up, I called Link and activated their monitoring. That was real simple to do. The system has been working well since then. My wife once did a bypass so that we could have a window cracked open while it was armed and that was fine. Then, I went through the interface at one point and changed the designation of one of the doors so that it could have a delay on it. Other than that, the system is pretty straightforward. We just push the button and arm it, then come in and turn it off. We also don’t have anything extraordinary or extravagant in the house so I don’t have it set it up on my phone that I can actively monitor. I see the email come through, so I know if it goes off or not, and that's enough.
The quality of the equipment also seems good. But in one of our doors where I had to put the sensor in a funny spot, the magnet came off after a couple of weeks of installing. But the alarm wasn’t on or anything when it did it and we were home. Other than that, we had no problems with the system and we've had no false alarms. There are signs up in the yard now and we’re not concerned anymore about the burglary happening again. It’s possible, but Link will to stop everybody from breaking in.

Glad to see you got all the help you needed, and please let us know if you ever need anything else!

The saleswoman was a very nice person and was able to help me out with all the questions I had. Same experience as when I talked to someone at customer service about some settings on the panel. He did a good job.
I like the system so far. I did the installation by myself, and it was easy and simple. I just followed the instructions, and everything was good. It's a good, reliable system with nice features. I use the app almost every day and it is working fine. I might get some more features in the future, like cameras. I need to get more details on how the Bluetooth works in terms of communicating with the panel though. I guess the phone is supposed to deactivate the alarm using the Bluetooth, but sometimes it doesn’t seem to work. So I was going to call customer service and see if they can give me a better information on how to use it.

Setting up the installation was easy but I had to call Link one time because I did it with email. Then they called me because my sensors were too far apart from each other. They were able to tell me how to fix it and everything went fine. It was simple and quick.
For the original alarm system, I didn't have to buy it and I can lease it. But the representative explained I have to buy the cameras straight out if I wanted them. I use the smartphone features and I love it because sometimes when I forget to set my alarm or if I'm already resting then I don't need to go back and I can set my alarm without being there. Most definitely, my home is safe because it's being protected even when I'm not there. And when I'm in the house, I feel safer in the evenings. The previous owner of the house we live in had the Link Interactive system installed, and they told me they were happy with it. I also considered other vendors but the price was lower for Link. I had a phone call where the reps explained everything to me, and then there was a few follow up emails. When I decided to go with them, we had a longer phone call where they set up everything for me. So, when I got the box, everything was labeled already.
I asked for smoke detectors connected to a central phone line, where if we're not home, they call and check. The fire department shows up if I don't pick up the phone and I don't say everything is fine. But with that came all the rest, like the motion sensor. Those things were included in the Link package. I have the system installed, tested and it's working. I had to pull up the sensor on the door and the smoke detectors myself, and the motions sensor where I wanted it to be. Other than that, the system was already set up. It took two hours to do everything and test the system, and it was easy. It's cheap and it works.

I had a break-in so I looked for a home security system and Link was a recommendation by a neighbor who is anal like myself. I know that if he bought something, he had done research on it, and it's probably a good thing. I didn’t have any issues with Link's sales rep. I had a lot of information and had follow-up phone calls made to me. I didn’t know that it was as easy as I was expecting. The toughest part we had was getting the thermostat program into the panel and get that functioning properly. We seemed to struggle with that a little bit, as well as adding a tilt sensor after the fact to my package.
The features of the system are very good. However, I don’t think they can provide any live video. I know I can get a snap picture with my motion sensor with the camera, but there's never any ability to get a live video or a live picture. It probably wouldn't be an unlimited version of that but some type of minutes of live viewing included into your monthly fee would be cool. The appearance of their equipment looked good. Time will tell about its quality though, since it is still brand new. Also, we are excited that we got the app to be able to control the temperature in the house. We didn’t get any lighting options but I know I could add lighting options to the app to turn lights on. The upfront cost for the whole product is fine. However, the monitoring fee is a little bit higher than I think it should be based on what's out there in the market. Nevertheless, Link's system gave me peace of mind and I would recommend Link for sure.

We didn’t have a security system, so I decided to get one, and Link Interactive was the cheapest. Their customer service was good. Everything was good and self-explanatory, but she called me a couple of times to make sure that I understood exactly what I wanted, and we went from there. She worked out for me to be able to finance the whole system someday. I got the indoor camera, doorbell, and four sensors. I installed the system myself, and the instructions were good. The only problem was, our camera had a spaz attack on the first rainstorm.
I called them, and they weren’t too sure what to do. But, one of the ladies told me that she will call the manufacturer, and that it was not them but the camera. Other than that, they provide good quality service. I feel calmer having the system because my kids have babies, and now I can look at them and see if they’re doing something they’re not supposed to be doing, as well as to make sure that the door is locked. Link has a very easy, do-it-yourself system that you can control. It is also simple, if you are in a hurry.

I did a lot of research and I ended up zeroing on Link Interactive products. The installation was fairly straightforward since it was not the first alarm system that I've installed. I already had a home security system and I wanted one that I could do a little bit more features with and Link had what I wanted it to do. I ordered everything online. Called them up, told them to activate everything and it went through. I had a little problem with one of my sensors, they sent one out right away. There's only one feature I don’t like, and that's the garage door sensor. It's like a cheap window sensor. It just has a little spring inside and the previous one I had, was on the actual door itself. It had a little sensor on the concrete too. However, the quality of Link's security equipment is pretty good. The sensors are pretty much like everybody else in the industry right now. I use the their smartphone features too all the time. But the Z-Wave seems to not always work all the time for my front door lock. I've installed nine cameras too so the house is pretty secured. I've already referred people to Link.

I've had a home security for a while and I wanted one that was interactive. The one that I had wasn’t. I was out searching and came across Link. I must have filled out something, but very shortly, I received a phone call from Link. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable and cooperative. He mentioned to me that they, at one time, have been endorsed by Costco. I'm a member of Costco so that’s one of the reasons why I signed up with them. I made the decision on the first telephone call, which was unusual for me but I liked the vibes that I was getting.
I had to have another person to come in to install the computer system of the SIM card. I didn’t feel comfortable doing that. That was the downside of dealing with Link because I had a local company where a person would come in to do everything. Also, I got an interactive combination lock that had to be installed. I had to have another gentleman come in and install that. But I had someone with me the entire time on the phone from Link walking him through that. If there were questions I had, even though they were far away, they answered all of the questions that we had during the installation period.
Through the Link system, I have the ability to arm and disarm my system remotely, which is what I didn’t have with the other company. I have the combination lock on the door. Our grandsons live within a walking distance of our house, so that was real attractive because they know that they can come in without having a key. Those two things were probably the most attractive things about it. I will probably get cameras ultimately. Link has that except that that was not a part of my package right now. When I'm away and my wife gets home, I know that she's home because I look at my cell phone, and I know that the system has been disarmed. That’s good since I didn’t have that ability before.
Moreover, I love their smartphone features. Their cost is good too. It is about what I was paying with the other company with the exception that they were going to raise my rates and I didn’t feel that I was getting enough of my money for them to raise the rates. Everything has been good up to this point with the Link system. But it would be nice for them to have an affiliate on the East Coast. I would recommend them.

I already have a different system through Alarm.com with a local company but I liked Link so I switched over. I had an easy transition. The cost is cheaper than what I've seen with other companies. The customer service is pretty great. I get all the assistance that I need and they're pretty precise and helpful. And if I had any questions, they ended up answering them. I did the installation and it was simple. I knew how to do it. With Link we feel like someone's monitoring my service unlike before when I trip an alarm I wouldn't get a phone call or anything. At least with Link I feel confident that if something did happen, I would get notified.

I got broken into six months ago and I didn't have a home security system at that time. Installing the Link system was easy overall. The guy I dealt with was named Sam and he was good. He gave me the links and he knew his stuff well. I have two different units and I thought about how I wanted to have it configured, and I added one camera in each place. I sleep better now for sure. Anybody that I know, I tell them to use Link.

My parent's house got robbed. We Googled security companies and our online research said Link was the best so far. Customer service helped us walk through the set up, and everyone was nice to us. We installed the materials and then we called them to see what else we needed to do. We've got a motion sensor, glass breaker, window sensor and a nice panel that we could adjust settings on. It's very flexible. Also, the smartphone features are good to use. However, when someone rings the doorbell, it takes a few seconds to pull up the camera. I wish that it was a little bit faster, but it might depend on the Wi-Fi or the connection. There's also an additional pricing for each camera, and I hoped we could have gotten one or two more cameras with the same price. But so far Link has been good to us, and I feel secure since we've had it.

I had a house broken into a while back so I purchased a home security system for peace of mind. I tried Vivint for a little while but the cost was a little bit too much. Link Interactive is associated with Costco so I went with them. I felt secured knowing if I get it through Costco and I don't like it, I can return some of it. Link Interactive is very good. I had partly used them for a home so it was for another add on because of the good experience. They're very responsive and the most friendly customer service-wise. The folks whom I have interacted with all seem very professional and well spoken. That's one of the big selling points for me.
The rep walked me through what I would need and some of the cost. He was knowledgeable and made himself available for a callback. I did most of the installation on my own. The instructions were pretty easy and straightforward though I had an issue with one of the smoke detectors. I called, got a different agent, and she spent about 50 minutes on the phone with me walking me through everything and purchasing the replacement device if it didn't work. It kept chirping when I first installed it. But after she had walked me through reinstalling it, it looked fine. Everybody was helpful. I had to call twice, and both times the agent was knowledgeable and walked me through the issues I was having. I had an issue with the sync on my phone, and they helped with that, too. I like the smart phone features, and I use those a lot. I am able to arm it remotely and get notifications and alerts. That was the selling point to me.
I like the features offered in the system. Everything I wanted was there. But I would have liked if there had been a deal on the camera options. The camera was kind of expensive so I went with a third party. The only thing is the motion sensor. It seems a little bit finicky but everything else is pretty good. The contract is 2-3 years and that seems a bit lengthy but overall, cost-wise, it is reasonable for everything I get. I feel more secure having Link Interactive. It's better and I like the idea that if somebody were to come in, I would know it. I have recommended Link Interactive to others. The only thing that makes people nervous about it when I mention it is the self-install. Link Interactive could have a partner that they could recommend to do an install for a fee.

I own a business and I purchased Link for security reasons and peace of mind. They're better than the last security system that I had, and their system is more user-friendly. It's also more cost-effective than what I had before and it's easier to navigate. The rep helped me set up the system when I got it, and they did a very good job. The system was very easy to install but the power cord was only about four feet. Usually when security companies come in, they don't like to plug the system right next to where the system is being installed. I had to run it through the wall to bring it outside, so I bought another power supply since it was necessary to use the system. But it was compatible with the system that I had, so I used the same sensors. And then, Link sent me more sensors which was good for me. It's a very good system and I feel a lot safer for my equipment.

We moved to a new home and we wanted to feel secure so we got a home security system. Link Interactive's prices looked reasonable. And just speaking with the customer representative, I liked the interaction. They gave me a good deal. Also, I saw reviews with Link Interactive from other consumers that also had good experience with them so I went with them. I did a self-installation since the box came with instructions. It wasn't too difficult. There were some videos online as well. I was talking with the customer service person about what the layout of the house was and they’re helpful and helped me figure that out. I also customized the features of my package based on what works for me. Link's security equipment has good quality and their smart phone feature is convenient. Being able to check it from my phone and I can arm and disarm the system is a feature I like a lot.
If I didn’t have Link's security system, I wouldn’t feel secure. I can monitor everything when I set the alarm. I’ve tested it out and I know that it works. So, I feel good about it. I’ve gotten some more equipment after my initial order. My interactions with Link Interactive have been pretty good so far. Whenever I’ve called, they’ve helped me figure out what would be good or what will work for me for my needs. I’m happy about that. It’s a good home security system. It’s priced well. I would recommend it definitely.

Link Interactive was rated number two and I looked at the number one, and Link seemed to be more in line with what I wanted. I am a little bit more familiar with Z-Wave devices and this sort of thing. So, they seemed to be a little more kenned to make it simple. But in the end, I actually returned my Link system stupidly, because there was something I misunderstood and got with that first rated company. But when I got their self-install instructions compared to Link, Link’s was much better and straightforward. So, I cancelled the other one and came back to Link. Link's customer service team were all very helpful too. All the alarm sensors are encrypted and it has all the normal features, and the extra things, and one of the nicer panels in the industry. It does everything that we needed to do from an alarm and a home automation system.
I definitely use their app on my computer, smartphone, and tablet. In fact, I had actually just check in the temperature of them last night from my phone and it is easy to navigate. I even link my Amazon Echo up to the system so that I can interact with the alarm system through it by voice commands. That’s been pretty nice. Moreover, I don’t have any problem with what they’re charging. I think they’re fair and the price is great. Overall, having the alarm system in general and knowing that’s there and functioning adds some comfort. And that is a Link exclusive feature.

I made my decision to go with Link Interactive based on the reviews that I found online, as well as, the representative that I spoke with. He was very knowledgeable, honest, and not tried to push the sale, but stayed with the facts of what the service did. Installing the system was a little bit of time consuming but it wasn't difficult. I wish the instructions would have been a little bit clearer though. I was able to figure it out, but I had to guess on a couple of things. But at the end, it worked.
The features of the system are great and I like them. I particularly like the smartphone features. When I was placing the order, the package was customize based on what I wanted and what I needed. There was an outdoor camera that I would have wanted and it was being offered. But I just thought that it was a little bit expensive, so I decided against it. The quality of the equipment is good. I got a good deal. I was offered it free of charge, of course, signing a contract. But what I like about it is that it’s portable that if I move, since I’m renting, I can take it with me. Moreover, I have two teenage daughters and sometimes they are by themselves when I'm working and having the system there makes me more comfortable.

I sold my home and needed a home security system for a new apartment I got. Link Interactive's affordable, easy to install and more flexible than my previous security system. Link also has an app on the phone. The gentleman that I spoke with was very good and knowledgeable. He helped me get everything set up correctly and explained what I needed to do. And then, we had two small revisions that needed to be made and he was very quick and responsive in getting that taken care of.
I did the installation which went pretty well. However, I messed up one of the sensors as far as the names and where I wanted them placed. But I got the system put in. The sensors work the way they were supposed to. The panel gives me the information, the data that I need and the app. I set it up so it would send me confirmation each time the system is armed or if there's a problem with the sensors. The app was also very easy to download. I've signed in once just to look at the information. I'm in a three-year contract with Link Interactive and I would recommend them to a friend.
