Please do not purchase this. Liberty Home Guard collects the $70 fee, sends a technician out, and then tells you the appliance needs to be replaced. They give you a quote for a new appliance that is HIGHER than retail stores. I replaced both my washer and dryer. It was cheaper to buy them directly from Best Buy, than Liberty. Liberty gave me $100 for my appliances, which is essentially, just $30, when you consider I paid $70 for each initial visit. This is a scam. Get the extended warranty from the stores and save your money.

Liberty worked with us to clear up some misunderstandings and was very helpful in resolving the claim. They gave us a generous reimbursement even though the problem was not covered under our policy. We are pleased to continue using them as our home warranty company.

I have been with Liberty for almost 2 years. I have had minor claims and they responded well but my last claim for a refrigerator repair has been "waiting review" for weeks. I filed my claim on October 26. It's November 14 and I am still waiting for a resolution. My claim is being passed around different departments. I wish I could bail but I bought a 10 year contract. My bad. Try other home warranty companies. I'm sure they are all better than Liberty.

This place is a disaster - we are locked in to a multi-year contract with them and every interaction is worse than the last. Our garage door broke 3 months ago and then the repair that their tech completed failed and they are unwilling to cover the claim. Everything is slow and unorganized. Don't believe the fake reviews, I've done probably 15+ claims with them over the past 5 years and most have not gone smoothly.

The whole system is incredibly frustrating and feels useless. My account is on hold, so I can’t use the service for an entire month—even though my dishwasher is not functioning. On top of that, I’m required to pay upfront just to file a claim, and that fee is non-refundable. Then I have to wait for a technician to come out and tell me whether the issue is even covered by this so-called “insurance.” Overall, it’s been a complete waste of money and time. I absolutely would not recommend this service.

I never had a good experience with these folks. My microwave stopped working and all they would pay is $300 for a replacement. That is $200 short of a new microwave of the same brand and size. And it has to be installed in cabinet which will cost even more. No point taking this home warranty. They won't provide any other support. Earlier I had a leaking cloth washer for which I raised a request. It was not fixed and I eventually had to get it fixed myself even with home warranty in place. Please look some place else for home warranty.

I've had Liberty for a year now. Most of the time, if I have a warranty claim, it usually gets denied because of weird writing in their system. It’s not worth it. But for my garage door claim, the contractor was great.

Liberty Home Guard is okay. But in some cases, the agreement is not clear-cut. And as a contractor, whenever you guys are tied up, sometimes they are not doing the work as it's supposed to be. I had to follow up multiple times. In reality, what happened, I paid out two times for the same service, and then it has been told it's a different problem. But I just saw one problem and they didn't address it properly.
People have an insurance so if there's an issue, they don't pay or they don't have the hassle. Recently, the pan was not working properly. There was a leakage. I called them, that guy came and worked in a way, but still the water was leaking. At the end of the day, I paid for the insurance, I paid for the service, but the water leak is the water bill that I'm paying. Nobody is covering that. So there’s no meaning of having an insurance. Liberty took a huge amount from me for this five-year service and they should have much better contractors.

Overall, I'm satisfied with Liberty Home Guard. I had a plumbing issue recently. It was a tub overflow in the bathroom. The contractor checked out what they thought it was and he repaired it and we haven't had a problem since. Now I just have to go back and do the drywall repair because it leaked into the dining room area. They were quick to have somebody come out.
I manage two properties for the owners and they actually have a different company for the other home. We haven't had great experience with the other company over the years. So I think they decided, "Let's try a different one on this property and see what's good and what's not." And actually, Liberty was quicker to have somebody else than the other company.

Our kitchen refrigerator wasn't keeping the recommended temperature. The inside temperature got warm, both on the freezer and the refrigerator side. It took a long and very tedious procedure before I could get somebody here. It was, unfortunately, right before the long weekend. It took four days before the technician showed up. Then there was a big wait because, apparently, Liberty needs to get their part. They don't let the technician order the part. They have to do the ordering themselves. It has to go through several department approvals and it takes forever.
I had to make several phone calls and I couldn't talk to anybody who could make a decision. I left a message and they would say that they're gonna get my message to the right department. But it took a long time before they actually ordered the part. By the time we got the part, it wasn't the right part. It was a lot of hassle going back and forth.
The technician had to spend lots of time working on the unit to install the part. He had to get a part from his truck because the part Liberty sent was not correct. By the time that he left, my icemaker wasn't working. He said he had to go to other appointments and I would have to call Liberty back about the icemaker.
I kept calling about the icemaker and I left a message. There was text, email, and phone calls, saying the icemaker is still not working, the repair is not complete, and they need to send somebody to complete the repair. But I didn't hear back. After one week, for some reason, the icemaker started to work. But nobody called me back to say if they should send the technician again to check it or not. They closed the ticket themselves too. I got a message that the ticket is closed. I wasn't happy with my previous warranty company and I sa Liberty had some good reviews. I called and signed up with them. But this was my first experience with Liberty and maybe it was a one-time deal that nothing worked out, but it wasn't a good experience.

Liberty Home Guard is like a scam company in my opinion. Every time there is a claim, there is always a charge, even though it’s covered by the warranty. Typically, the full cost is covered by the warranty company, if something breaks down. But with them, the cost has to be paid by the consumer. I don’t know why I have to cover for all the payment to the contractors. When I tried to cancel the policy, they said I would not receive any reimbursement. I don’t know if the policy is fully cancelled. It’s weird.
No one is gonna read all the fine print in the contract. Authorities need to look at this because I haven’t found any other warranty company with a contract like theirs. I have always had companies cover the claim completely, as long as that specific appliance is included. I’m gonna file a consumer report. The last technicians, though, did good work on my dishwasher

Repairs take longer because the technician who comes out has to evaluate first, even though we know what the problem is, and then he has to submit the report to Liberty, and Liberty has to okay it, and then he comes back. So if it's an appliance that we need to be working, it takes a while until we get that repaired. I have an ongoing refrigerator claim and it’s still not working well. Liberty Home Guard offered me $600 for the refrigerator, which isn’t sufficient, so I rejected it.

Our toilet was running constantly, so my husband had to keep turning it off. I submitted a claim over the phone with Liberty and the contractors who came out were good. Our fitting was worn out, so they had to put a new one in. I like how it's very easy to do claims with Liberty. I like how you can do it online or call. I also like how you can pick your own contractors if you want to go that route or they can assign them. However, some of their maximum amount to spend was kind of low. I wish they were a little higher.

I have two properties and I've been using Liberty for years. I was with American Home Shield but it takes forever to get ahold them. They don't speak English and never get back to you. In comparison, I've had nothing but good experiences with Liberty. The one thing I didn't like was with a plumbing issue. The toilets were not flushing and the guy they sent was two hours away and he gave me the heebie-jeebies. He replaced the part and that didn't do anything. Then he poured vinegar down the toilet and that didn't do anything. The issue is still not fixed but it's fine. We're dealing with it. Liberty also doesn't tell you all the time when they assign somebody and that's annoying.
When we lost the remote so couldn't turn on the outside light on the fan, they were great. They provided an alternate way to do it without the remote. It now works. One time, our garage door broke. I called them up and even though it usually takes a day or two to assign, they got right on it because it was an emergency. They let me get somebody from here and it was fixed.

I filed some claims for my house, and the process is good so far in terms of connecting you with a plumber or electrician, whatever the case may be. Coordinating that to get the house fixed has been good. Sometimes, the only concern I have is connecting me with the right expertise. At least in two experiences that I was referred somebody, a technician came but they did not know what they were doing. That's my only concern I have is to make sure that whenever we have a claim, the technician is well qualified and will do a good job.
So, it's basically selecting the right teams to fix the house. But overall, it's a good experience for me.
I file claims either online or by calling. Both are helpful. I have to pay $100 for a deductible for any initial fee, but the arrangement of paying for labor or for the parts, I was not happy about that. I thought at least the majority of it would be covered by Liberty. I think a better coverage plan would help me.

Keep away from Liberty Home Guard, they will lie to your face. I put in a claim and paid for the out of pocket co-pay, after 4 days of waiting for a response they told me I would have to pay anything over $250.00 that is after I paid $85.00 00 co-pay so I would have to pay an additional $100.00. They stated if I read their many paged in small print contract I would have know that, the salesperson on the phone should have stated all that, but they intended to hide it. Very bad business, do not become their next victim. You will regret it. I have not seen one positive review on this company, stay away!!!

Liberty Home Guard provided zero support. I had a simple drain pump failure in my washing machine and they sent the most incompetent technician who looked at the machine and stated it needed a drain pump. The liberty home guard claims team said my washing machine was 10years old and they wanted me to buy a new washing machine from them. They would not refund my money at for the incompetent technician nor the monthly they payments I wasted on them. DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS SCAM! That is all it is.. A SCAM!

I have had several claims with Liberty Home Guard. The claims department has always been responsive. Senior account manager Josh has been above and beyond helpful. I have always allowed Liberty to contract the repair company. They have always been professional. While I believe my last service should have been resolved sooner once Josh got involved everything was taken care of.

Buyer beware! I found out the hard way that this home warranty company does not pay for labor or installation of replaced parts or appliances. My policy was supposed to have been mailed to me for review within the first 30 days of coverage and I did not receive it until 63 days into the policy, which was beyond my 30 day trial period. So if your built-in dishwasher or garbage disposal goes out, they will pay for replacements but not the labor to install it, which is usually more than the cost of the appliance or parts. Also, if you do not have maintenance records from day one of a major unit, such as a furnace, they will only pay a minimum amount of their choosing rather than the actual cost of the unit. This company operates on bad faith to their policy holders and I highly recommend for you to shop elsewhere.

I had a plumbing problem where the pipe under the toilet was broken, and Liberty Home Guard sent a plumber out and replaced it. But the thing is he didn’t cut the bolts where he had to put the new bolts in, and he said he was gonna stop by and do it, but he never did. I had my son do it with a Dremel, but it’s still loose. So, I messaged the plumber asking him if there’s something that can be done about it, but he never responded.
I don’t have a problem with Liberty Home Guard as long as I can get ahold of somebody who speaks English really good and understands what I’m saying. Sometimes, I’ll call and get somebody from another country who doesn’t understand what I’m trying to tell them, and I get irritated. But other than that, the claims process is not that difficult. The cost is not too bad either. I had another warranty at a home in Virginia, and it’s comparable to that one.

I’ve had Liberty for six months now. They're a lot better than the last one I had. The only thing I don't like is when you call, you have to go talk to somebody from another country that you can't understand what they're saying.
The ice maker wasn't working. It was freezing but it wouldn't draw ice. It worked for a little bit after the repair and it's not working again. I can't afford to pay the 80 bucks .

I recently submitted my claim for my refrigerator. I used the Liberty website to submit the claim, and the contractors they sent out were courteous.
It went okay. They ended up fixing it, but they said, because it's a closed system, and it's excluded in the warranty. Apparently, it's kind of a normal thing because I read about it on Reddit. So, I can take one fix or I can get $100 or $150 toward a new refrigerator. So, that's not the best solution, but it's okay.

I’ve been with Liberty for about five months. I have filed a claim when my air conditioner capacitor was not working, and they replaced it with a new capacitor. After they replaced it, there have been no issues since.

It’s never an easy process submitting a claim with Liberty. I’ve submitted many claims, and it’s different every time. One was over a month for a plumber, and then I had to fight with them to get things done. The guy came for the dishwasher, though, as scheduled. So it was good. That was fine. The dishwasher is still working.

It took about two to three weeks for someone to come out for my last claim with Liberty Home Guard. It took that long because they didn’t have a provider. Both of my toilets were leaking. While the vendors they sent out and the claims process were okay, it’s kind of a waste of money if you don’t use Liberty. But as long as you use it, then it’s fine.

There’s a cap of $500 for plumbing. I’ve only had one service of plumbing and I’m already at my cap so I can’t have any other issues. I’ve had a couple of other home warranties over these years and I’ve never run up against a cap like that. And I didn’t like the contractors they worked with so I tried to go with a different company. I have two policies with them and I’m gonna cancel as soon as I get a minute. I’m dissatisfied but they’re not the worst.

Liberty Home Guard policy. Please know that LHG covers claims only up to the book value of the covered item. I have in writing "we cover claims up to the book value of the covered item.” Here’s an example: If an appliance was originally purchased for $1,000 and has accumulated $900 in depreciation over 8-10 years, its book value would be $100 ($1000-$900). So with your measly $100 offer from LHG and just for trusting LHG with your appliance coverage, you will net $0 after you paid their vendor service fee (you may be negative if your service fee is more than $100).
They will then try to soften the bad news with their pricing for you to purchase a replacement appliance from them. If you're like me and like to verify and confirm details, you'll find that you can purchase this appliance on your own for about the same price. And now it gets better: LHG will not pay for the installation. The other similar prices that I found on my owner cover installation. Let’s say you have an a/c unit that is 10 years old and it fails, LHG likely won’t be paying for its replacement. They may offer you a few hundred dollars towards a new one. Also, YOU will be required to pay to have it installed plus the difference of thousands of dollars out of pocket.
I am writing this to inform people who think that buying a policy from LHG will cover their appliance "repair or replacement", you will be hard pressed to have this happen. Their website says that they are a repair or replace policy, but this just isn’t true. Based upon my experience and the experience of the many other reviews that I have read, this is not the case. Keep in mind that LHG policies are designed for them to deny claims. Therefore, if you think buying a policy from LHG will protect you, I regret to inform you that you are wrong and you are wasting your money.

The overall coverage of Liberty Home Guard seems good. I recently had an electrical claim, and the provider came out twice to see what was going on, and then they got supplies and came back. They seemed very competent, as they did it quickly. They were nice.
We ended up having to write them an additional check for some equipment that they got, which I guess wasn't gonna be reimbursed by Liberty. But basically, they did quite a good job.
Many of our issues are covered, and they try to find someone. The difficulty is in our location. We’re living in a rural area in southern Oregon. I think they don’t really have many other customers.
So they don’t really know many of the providers here. And so, sometimes it’s hard to find them. Actually, the most recent claim was for our service, which is just the regular gutter cleaning service.
We filed a claim because there are leaves in the gutters. They found someone, but then that person they found had an accident right away, which was a little sad. They got injured, and so they’re actually out of business.
A few days later, I got a call that they weren’t able to find anyone else to do gutter cleaning for months. So now, I’m gonna go and try to find someone and have them come. I think they had someone come out for us a year ago. He’s probably still around, and I can get him.
It doesn’t seem like you really have people that you know that actually work in the area very often already, which is okay. And then the other issue we’re having is that local people in the area tend to not like warranty companies very much.
We've had a few people that have come out and then told us they’re not gonna work with Liberty again, or they’ve even given up on all warranty companies. Because they just really don’t like the process they have to go through.
There are some cases where it does seem a bit unreasonable because they have to do a whole back and forth with different departments at Liberty before they can actually do the work. Whereas they’d really like to be able to just come, do the thing, get paid, and then go away, especially if it’s something really minor.
We had a washing machine claim this year, too. And it was clear that the circuit board was burned out. It was an old machine, so it wouldn’t be possible to find a part for it. It seemed pretty cut-and-dried, and we did have a picture of that or something, but they still had to do stuff.
There are times when it seems like there’s more process that’s causing some of the vendors to not wanna work with warranty. That’s the downside, but otherwise, I’m pretty happy with the service. I'm pretty happy with the service.
There is one other thing I would let you know. I didn’t like the salesperson who originally talked to me and told me the plan that we signed up for, because he disappeared. He called and sold me the service. He was overselling it.
He was talking about how I should really get the deluxe service to get all these extra perks, and have products that I can buy at a better rate than I can get them retail. And so, I’m getting all these services.He also said he’ll be my personal representative, and I can always just call him if you need anything. But then he basically disappeared, and his number didn't work anymore. And when I’d call up, no one knew who he was.
I tried to mention some of the things that he talked about, like, thinking of getting a replacement appliance. We’ve never heard of that service. That doesn’t make sense. I think he’s gone because you guys noticed that and got rid of him pretty soon after we bought the contract.
We had a previous warranty company that we had worked for a while, and then I’ve had a bad experience with. I was researching to see whether there would be a better, more trustworthy, better liked one. I found Liberty had some good looking reviews, and then I called.
I talked to someone about the possibility of it at your company, and I found someone that I really liked. It sounded great. But I hadn't decided on Liberty yet. So, I called back, and then I got the other guy who gave me this weird. And I felt like I wanted to talk to the other guy.
Both of them sort of left me with the impression that they would be assigned one person that they would keep talking to, and that didn’t seem to have really happened, except within the period of one claim.
For one claim, they tend to have the same person. Usually, as long as it’s their day to work. But in general, since that, I’ve not had any experience getting someone who knows you.
Generally, I’m pleased with Liberty Home Guard. It basically works. It seems like they have too many departments that’s kind of clumsy sometimes. But I like Liberty Home Guard. And I’ve learned what the service actually is like. It’s just the first sales versions were not like what I thought.

It’s been three years now that I have Liberty. I have them in this home and in our vacation home. Submitting the claim is easy. I do it online or on the app. The techs do what they need to do. My recent claim was for the dryer that wasn’t spinning. They sent out a technician and he changed the band.
I won’t recommend them. There has been some difficulties in communication after a claim is submitted. The process of not being able to have a direct connect to someone and the lack of follow-through. There has been some very disappointing issues that have occurred through them. You call the 800 number and you get someone. If I ask to speak to someone else or a follow-up or look into something a little deeper, they can’t do that and they said I will have to submit a request. I don’t have a direct contact to anyone.
There have been times for my home, for my heater for example, it went out during the winter months. We didn’t get it resolved for six months because there was no communication through Liberty at all. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. For the coverage that I have, I don’t think it’s worth it.

I had a home warranty with American Home Shield and their prices kept going up. So, I just started looking online for other options and found Liberty. I have had them for a year now. Submitting a claim online via their app was super easy. I then got the name and the phone number of the contractor who was good. This company is reasonably priced and everything has been good. The only thing I did not like was when I did a long-term contract. I had to pay it all within four installments as I could not pay it year by year to get a long-term contract.

When I purchased my home, the previous owners purchased us a year’s worth of appliance insurance with Liberty Home Guard. I have used it twice, and one claim went well. Currently, I am frustrated with them because it has been a month since I reopened a claim because my refrigerator is leaking water. And I have had the technician be a no-show four times.
I keep calling Liberty and there is nobody I can talk to who can set me up with a new person. Yesterday, I tried to talk to somebody else, but she said there was nobody else to talk to. So, that was the end of that conversation. She said if the contractor is a no-show today, maybe I could call back today and talk to dispatch. So, I asked to talk to dispatch yesterday since he had already been a no-show. And she said I have to call back tomorrow.
So today, we are waiting to see if he is here. The number that they gave me for the technician on my claim on my account does not work. It’s like, “Doo-doo-doo. Not a number.” As soon as the contractor is a no-show, they just reschedule. They cannot give me a new person.
I called another number that they gave me and I talked to somebody who said they would not service my area till Saturday. I said that they were scheduled to come that day. I even asked if he could come the following day, and he said he did not know and that they would only come to my area on Saturday. So, I talked to the woman about that, and she said that I have to wait for him to either come or not come tomorrow.
She also said that maybe the problem is because it is a reopened claim, because they came to service the fridge end of July, and then it was said that it was fixed. But then, it started leaking again in August. My husband has to clean the floor and keep an eye on making sure it does not damage the house. The first time around that I made a claim, it happened quickly and I was happy with the immediacy of it. They have been very nice and I like that I can call them on the phone and talk to somebody, even it if has not led to a positive outcome yet. I enjoy that and it feels very personable.

The Liberty Home Guard customer service is good. I submitted a claim for a kitchen refrigerator and the online process was easy. The only thing is there were multiple times the technicians didn’t show up when they said they would, and the tenant kept waiting for them, and they never got back to her.

Our water heater was busted over the holiday weekend, and Liberty Home Guard was on top of it. They sent out an inspector who checked it out, verified it, they processed and approved the claim, and sent us a new water heater. We had to wait for shipping to arrive the following week, but I was surprised with how quick the process was, and I was quite pleased with that.

I already had a home warranty. When you buy homes, a lot of times, they’re sort of included. You find out quickly how valuable they can be with your first repair or need. So, I’ve almost always had them. And when I bought this house, I had one. And when it expired, I did a little shopping. I probably saw an ad or did a search on the Internet for pricing as well as. excellence or whatever. And you guys’ pricing at the time was the best,
I’ve been protected with Liberty for a year and a half. And my experience when submitting a claim It’s clear-cut and relatively easy, and the experience has been basically good. It’s a slower than you wish it would be but they’ve got to get somebody, and then somebody got to have the time to call me back. So you understand that you always wish anything would happen quicker but it’s good as anyone else I’ve ever used. That’s for sure.
I’ve had issues with the quality of some contractors that hasn’t been good. I’ve had couple of experiences with plumbing and the plumbers you could tell weren’t very experienced. So, that was not good and that’s happened twice. Now, where I live is South of Tucson, Arizona. It’s kind of like that’s part of the problem. I’ve not had good experiences. Ultimately the things got fixed.

I had a claim related to my furnace, after the annual checkup they found that some of the insulation had fallen and laying on the heat exchanger. The person who came to check the heater could not reach it. He said there was part of it that needed to be removed before we use the heater. So, I called Liberty to file claim. They sent someone out and the guy came and he removed that piece that was sitting on the exchanger, then he looked everything and confirmed it was fine.
The contractor is very nice. He had been here before but with a different company.
They've been very good. Most of the time I set up appointment or service calls online and it's always gone through very nicely. Both times, the people who have come have taken care of what needed to be done. In fact, the last guy, when he had to unplug the furnace, he was working on, there was another plug dangling by it, and he explained that it was for the hot water pump and he offered to plug it in. Since then, our water heater has been much better.

I had an issue with a filter that had leaked and was supposed to be replaced. The plumber who was hired installed the wrong filter. I told him it was still leaking. He did come back and tightened it. Then it was working for a minute or two before it started leaking again.
I contacted Liberty to get another plumber but no one came back out. We also had an outlet issue and the techs came in and just tightened some screws. Overall, I don’t like Liberty and I would tell others it’s not worth it.

The clicker wasn’t coordinating with the garage door opener and my daughter couldn’t even use the garage. She filed a claim and the tech came the next day. It was very quick. They fixed issue, but there were three other things that he caught that were not up to code. He ended up getting approval and we got that done too.
There’s always something going wrong with the house so we’ve done very well. I call them when submitting a claim. Then I talk to somebody and they’ll tell me who’s gonna do the job and I have their contact information right away. I’ve also gone online before to review some of the things that I was unaware of in the contract. Overall, I love this company. They’re wonderful and upfront. I paid for five years and they gave me 5.5 years. It came out reasonable per year.

Liberty is a good deal. I had a warranty previously and I wasn’t satisfied with them. I googled more home warranties and I picked them because they were better than the ones I was trying to get. I have them for about two years now. I file my claims on the app and it’s good to go. They give me good contractors who have good reviews. The other company did not do that. I filed a claim for the toilets because the fill valves were busted. There were also a few other things that had to be done. I had replaced them and but it kept running. The contractors diagnosed it and fixed it. Overall, everything is great.

The only claim I had with Liberty Home Guard was for the ice maker of my kitchen refrigerator. The contractor, First Quality Appliance Repair, was great. They came out when they were supposed to. They’re top-notch. Their repairman told me right away that it's gonna have to be replaced.
He took the parts of the new ice maker with him, and he put it in. He knew just exactly what he was doing. It was an LG refrigerator, which requires a bit of special training, and he had it. Then, Liberty Home Warranty ordered the parts and shipped them to me. I had an issue with the gentleman who sold me the policy for Liberty Home Guard, instead of keeping my American Home Warranty which we've had for eight years. When I called to get a quote, I told him we had American Home Warranty and I'm thinking about renewing.
Then he said their policy is much better. And that, they pay for more and they do this at that. But so far, it hasn't turned out to be the case. He said one thing but the contract says another. I should have known it was too good to be true, but that's my bad. He was not transparent about the other charges, which really made me mad. I asked him specifically the costs I have to pay upfront if I have a claim. I don't expect any major claims because it's a brand-new house, it's four years old. We just wanted it in case of emergencies. We're on a fixed income, and that's the whole reason we paid for the home warranty.
And then he just told me that I have to pay $90 or $70 upfront for the service call. I said that's fine. I don't have a problem with that since everybody charges that. I thought that's perfect. At that point, I didn't have anything to read, so I was taking him at his word. He just wanted my money. It's paid in full now, and as soon as I paid, I found out that I was paying a co-pay, which is okay. I know they have to have something for doing all the paperwork, and getting the claim started. And then I found out I had to pay for the labor.
I asked for a written contract so I could keep it in my new home file, but he never did it. I kept waiting for the paper copy. He then sent it online. I tried reading the copy he sent me in an email, which is hard to read. There were so many pages, and it was so small. I kept scrolling, but I didn't know exactly what it was called. It's all under different headings, and there's nothing in there about out-of-pocket costs. I didn't know what that would be considered, so I didn't find it.
By then, I was mad. I could have cared less if I found it or not, because I already had to pay out-of-pocket another $125. At first, it was $150. And then the guy goes, “Well, I'll knock 25 bucks off for you.” And I said, “Well, thank you very much.” But I won't renew with them. It ended up costing me $200 and some dollars. And I thought, if that's how they do business, and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand's doing, then I see that as being a problem for Liberty Home Warranty.

The timeliness of Liberty has been good. However, they've had some annoying features related to follow-up. The provider they sent came out the same day, but I received text messages from Liberty asking me to let them know when the provider was coming out for three weeks after that. I don't know what they had to do to realize the provider had already been out there, but it was annoying how much they were asking me to do on the back end. I've had an okay experience with Liberty, but they've been equal to other home warranties I've had.

I've been with Liberty for almost three years. I submit the claims online, which is very easy to do. I have also called and spoke to someone over the phone several times. The customer service has been great and everything's been taken care of.
The technicians are good. We still use the first HVAC technician that was sent out years later. He's been really good. We have other people we like to use, but they're not associated with Liberty. We just do the reimbursement route. But the people Liberty sent out have been fine. We've just had an issue with things not being covered that we thought would be covered. But that's on us for not reading the policy completely.

I’ve had Liberty all the time and so far I don’t have complaints about it. I call and they come right away to fix things. I’ve always had good service for six years. But I hope they would pay for tune ups like the previous company I had. Other than that, I’ve recommended them to many people already. My nieces and nephews in Texas and here in California use Liberty.

I’ve been with Liberty for about two years. The recent claim went well. It was for the garage door and I was not aware if it was covered so I called them. They were able to fix all the things that needed to be fixed and it happened fairly quickly.

Here's how they work: Let's say your 8 year old refrigerator goes bad. LHG takes the depreciated value based upon what they say is the lifespan of this refrigerator (let's say they say it's got a 10-year lifespan). So if the refrigerator costs $1000 new and it's now 8 years old, then your maximum cover on repair or replace will be $200. Keep in mind that you will have already paid someone on average $100 to come out and diagnose your refrigerator, so basically they will offer you net $100. Besides this, you will spend countless hours on the phone with LHG fighting and trying to get answers of which are to no avail.

It's been a couple of years since I've had Liberty. Submitting a claim is comparable since I've used other home warranties. Now that I know how to put a claim in, it's pretty simple. The biggest problem I have is when I called Liberty to get the policies because I have several policies from rental homes. I specifically asked if they outsourced their phone calls for their intakes when you have a problem and I was told that they are all American-based. But that was not true because I still have trouble understanding. I can tell they're not in America. That was a bit annoying.
With the contractors, sometimes if it's an emergency, it's very difficult to handle them. I had an elderly person living in the home with no air conditioning. It was 115 degrees. It was a Monday and they wanted me to wait until Friday. I wanted to be able to use my own contractor if that happened, which I did. That is not an easy process, but I had to do it because it was unsafe for my tenant to be without air conditioning. Eventually, it got fixed and handled, but that's the way it is.
There are more limits on things that I've expected in the small print. When I first got Liberty, there was an electrical problem in my home. It wound up costing quite a bit of money and Liberty only covered $750 of it, which was surprising. And this time, in the same home, I had a plumbing issue this week and I didn't even bother to call Liberty because I know it's going to be denied. There was a clog in the sink and it was past the trap in the sink. So they had to go under the house and I know that Liberty won't do that. I wound up paying $2,300.

Liberty Home Guard called me five times, so I decided to go with them since they wanted my business. It was amazing. I submit my claims online. I've had one ticket and it was easy. It was all through their system. The app is very user-friendly.
The washer was losing power and I had a blackout here in this area, which threw something off. So the guy came in and he really just walked me through how to clean it out. So he did a great job. He spent 45 minutes here. The washer has been performing fine.
Having Liberty is like insurance. If you're not using it, you don't think about it. But at least you know you're semi-covered.

Our AC unit stopped working in Aug 30 2025, we were not worried as we had warranty and felt we were in good hands with Liberty Home Guard. After their technician came in and did some testing he submitted his report. The main fan was not turning on and there was a possibility of leak in refrigerant. That was it. They maintained that leaks are excluded, and if we go through their vendors for repairs they would pay us $1200 but otherwise maybe $200. We did a second opinion the guy said issue with motor, condenser loss and possible leakage.
Today is Oct 8th 2025 and they still have not resolved my claim. We went ahead and got the unit replaced on our own and now apparently they will be kind enough to cover $200. No where in the contract does it say we have to go through their vendors. So they refuse to reimburse basing the whole issue on a possible leak and ignoring all the other evident issues - motor doesn't turn on etc. Very disappointing and please stay away from them.

If I could rate zero stars I would. Submitted a claim for $125 on 9/11/25. Technician was a no-show four times and when we reached out to Liberty Home Guard their only recourse was to tell us we could continue to wait or find our own technician and they’d reimburse us. Um no… especially after paying the monthly fee of about $60 a month AND the claim fee.
They sent a new technician from a different washer repair company and although he was nice, he informed us the dryer needed a replacement part which would take 3-5 business days… That was last week. As of today 9/23/25 we have not heard from him or Liberty Home Guard. Oh wait, my bad. They called my husband on SUNDAY to advise that we were responsible for the labor but they would pay for the part!!! So $60 a month plus $125 claim fee plus $150 labor and yet we STILL cannot use the washer… Are you kidding me! This company is the epitome of a scam and I 1000% DO NOT RECOMMEND Liberty Home Guard unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. As of today 9/26/25 we still don’t have a resolution.

My AC broke. No worries, I naïvely thought. This is why I pay these guys $600/year. To help cover this sort of thing. The technician came out, my coil had sprung a leak. The part was covered by warranty, but the installation and replacement Freon was not. Or was going to be over $3,000 for what wasn’t covered by warranty. So I paid the claim submission fee (125$). I submitted the paperwork, and it turns out that the existence of any sort of warranty is enough of a reason to deny the claim altogether. They pitied me though, and offered 250$, and “generously” upped that to $275 when I complained. So in summary, I sent this company $600/year for 3 years only to get less than 5% of the costs of my AC unit covered when it broke. What an absolute scam.

This company is bait and switch to a T! The salesman will tell you everything in your home is covered then actually cover $250 of a $3000 bill. It is the most ridiculous company I have ever worked with. I have no idea how they are in business. Buyer beware. Pay out of pocket for everything because you will actually pay more after you pay the deductible. They also make you jump through so many hoops to get a claim filed. They will transfer you to person after person and put you on hold a bunch before letting you know “yeah, we don’t cover that” even though the salesman said it was covered. We have an older home and wanted everything covered as we know things start to go bad around this time in a homes life. They are liars and will tell you anything g to make the sale. I will make sure all friends and family never work with this company.

I paid in advance, thinking it was a good deal. I have a dripping faucet in the bathroom and they sent a contractor who diagnosed the "problem". I paid the $70 deductible. The contractor made it WORSE, we had to turn off the water to our bathroom....this is Thursday. They PROMISE they'll come Friday, the part is in. They call and say it's not the right part, maybe Monday. Liberty Homeguard calls me and says the leak isn't covered and I have to pay 250 dollars more. Well, NO. I'm calling my own plumber, I'm taking the water damage pictures and LHG can talk to us in court.

Maia helped me handle an emergency issue. I called about a gas leak in my tenant's clothes dryer. I thought it would be better to handle it over the phone rather than start a claim online since this is an urgent matter. Liberty Home Guard is a dishonest company. They denied my claim without providing any documentation or reasonable explanation to support their stance. Then they offered me $200 but required me to sign a contract agreeing to remove a negative Google review. Background: I submitted a claim for a malfunctioning dishwasher. After sending a technician to diagnose the issue, they claimed it was a "manufacturer defect" and thus was not covered per my policy. This appliance worked for 1.5 years before the circulation pump malfunctioned. This is a defect that should be covered under the policy as a "mechanical defect." However, they claimed that it was actually a "manufacturer defect" but could not provide any documentation or explanation of how they arrived at that conclusion. I spoke to a representative at the company on four occasions and was never offered any additional detail or explanation.
After writing a negative, but honest Google review of my experience, a representative of the company reached out to me. I was verbally offered a $200 payment. After agreeing, the representative then requested that I update or remove my Google review. However, at no point in the conversation did the representative give any indication that the payment was contingent on removing my review.
The following day, I was sent a three page contract that I had to sign to receive the payment. The contract stated the following: "You agree to withdraw, delete, resolve, and/or request to not post any and all postings/reviews/complaints/contents of complaints from/on any and all platforms that You, or anyone affiliated with You, used in connection with commenting on the Services, whether done in Your name, a pseudonym, or another person's name. Liberty Home Guard will issue You the Payment within two (2) business days from the date that these posts/reviews/complaints/contents of complaints are determined to be withdrawn, resolved, and/or deleted."

I would leave a minus review if I could. I purchased a home warranty from Liberty Home Guard on 1/6/2023 and it runs from 1/6/2023 thru 3/2/2026. I have found Liberty to be the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend anyone ever buy this warranty. They will try to refuse to cover everything, even if it clearly states it should be covered. My AC unit stopped working on Aug 11, 2025. I live in Phoenix, and it was over 110 deg that week. I called Liberty and they sent a tech who said I needed a new fan motor and compressor. He said the unit was in great shape and maintained well, but the parts failed. Liberty will not pay for the repair, stating there is a clause in the policy saying (SectionH.1.P) that "Installation of parts of or the entirety of system, appliance, and/or optional add-ons" is not covered. I am not adding anything on, I am replacing defective parts.
Their policy clearly states the AC is covered in 1a) "Covered: Ducted electrical central AC.. For units below 13 SEER, and for when we are unable to facilitate repair/replacement at the current SEER rating, repair /replacement will be performed with 13 SEER equipment or higher". In same Policy at B.2.C that they will replace parts "malfunction that is result of normal wear". Normal wear was verified by the tech they sent. In Policy 3.a "Repair or Replacement: When addressing a Covered item malfunction, LHG will make arrangements in accordance with your Agreement to repair or replace the covered item. a) cash reimbursement in lieu of repair or replacement of a Covered item."
In Policy 10.a.i "Diagnosis and repair/replacement of all covered items are limited to $2000 per covered item". The repair was $1160 and therefore should be covered. Nothing was added to the AC system. It was original equipment that was being replaced by original equipment. If you use the clause Liberty is trying to use, the warranty would be completely useless for any repair.

We had put a claim for our garage door opener. The technician came to check it and he said he would go back submit an estimate to the Liberty Home Guard. Today is the 4th days since the claim was place, the status of the claim still shows "under review". This is NOT acceptable. I even called and talked with customer service rep., she said check back again without providing us when our garage door will be fixed. We will also fill out complaints wherever we can possibly to make sure other potential customers can hear before they do business with this home warranty company.

If you’re considering buying a “policy” from Liberty Home Guard, you need to run in the opposite direction as fast as possible. I purchased a “service” on May 21, 2025 for $699 and my experience has felt like this is a borderline scam business. Let me explain. On June 24, I submitted a claim to repair my AC. They charged me $125 to submit a claim. On June 30, the AC repair company that Liberty Home Guard arranged, came to inspect the AC. They mentioned that my system needed a new electronic board. I called Liberty Home Guard on July 5th to find out the status of my repair. They said it was under evaluation. Only July 9th, I called and was informed that total repair was $708.26, and that the “policy” only covered a portion of it. I had to pay $325 more to move this claim forward. I paid the $325 too. At this point, I have paid $1149 to get my AC repaired!
On July 11th, I called to find the status of my claim, By this time, I am 2 ½ weeks in since I filed my claim. The response was that the claim was still in the “Solutions Department”, and that replacement parts had not been ordered. There was no indication on when the replacement board would be ordered and when the repair would be scheduled. At this point, I was fed up with Liberty Home Guard, and asked for a full refund of $699.99 and my $325, which was recently charged to my card.
As per their service agreement, “You have the right to cancel for any reason at any time..... We will refund to You a prorated refund.” It’s been two months since I asked for my money, and I have not received a return of money or even a notification to return my monies. They did credit me $325. I am still out $824 to Liberty Home Guard.
Part 2 of this story. I did get another AC repair company to fix my AC. They came and repaired my AC, the day after I called. They did not have to replace an electronic board and charged me $301.85. Strange, how the AC company arranged by Liberty Home Guard was going to charge $700+ to repair my AC by replacing an electronic board, and this company got it working without needing to replace my board at half the cost.

A terrible company. Episode #1: My dryer stopped working, and I paid $80 as a copayment. LHG assigned a technician after two weeks. He asked me to replace the dryer. LHG declined to pay for the dryer because my dryer was 13 years old. My policy does not mention any age limit for the appliance. Episode #2. I have a leaking water pipe. I filed a claim and paid $80 as a copayment and scheduled a Roto-Rooter plumber for an after-hours visit. LHG paid only $65 for the defective part and declined to pay for labor. Episode #3: My air conditioner stops cooling the house. I filed a claim and called a technician. He told me that the capacitor needs to be replaced. LHG declined to pay because my air conditioner is more than 15 years old. They even keep the $80 I pay them because I initiated a claim. I became their customer because US News & World Report ranked them #1.

Liberty Home Guard is a complete scam in my experience. I purchased a policy that clearly covered dishwasher repairs, yet when my unit failed, they refused to fix it. Instead, they claimed that “repair and replace” meant nothing more than shipping parts to my door, with no responsibility to actually restore the appliance to working condition.
When I pressed them, they cited conflicting sections of their own policy and then tried to silence me with a so-called “settlement.” The catch? I would only receive payment if I signed a Waiver and Release giving up every possible right or claim against them—not just now, but literally “from the beginning of the universe to the end of time.” The agreement even demanded that I defend and indemnify them if anyone else (like an insurer) ever made a claim. On top of that, it forced me to accept New York jurisdiction and waive my right to a jury trial. In other words, they don’t honor their contracts, then they try to bully customers into giving up all legal recourse with outrageous fine print. Because I didn't agree to those specific terms and asked them to be changed they decided to not communicate any longer and just cancel my policy while taking my money.

These people are a rip-off. I paid my monthly fee of 91.00. I paid 125.00 service fee just to have someone look at my washer and tell me it will be 280.00 to fix it. Mind you, all it needed was a new lid lock part. Liberty Home Guard told me the part was not covered and I’d have to pay 180.00; they will cover 108.00 of the labor. A SIMPLE lid lock part they would not cover. So I’m out, I’m supposed to be out the 91.00 monthly fee, 125.00 service fee and another 180.00 to fix the problem. While Liberty pays 108.00. My husband went on YouTube to see how to fix the problem, bought the part online for 36.00 and fixed the problem. 36.00. Don’t waste your money with this company.

This is a total scam! They will find any reason to not pay for claims. When my mother's refrigerator broke, they offered her $100 towards replacement even though it was covered for replacement. They did the same for me with my HVAC and tried to offer only $300. When I asked to cancel my remaining policy, they said that the pro-rated amount was $1737.70, but deducted what they paid out in claims even though I paid for those months of warranty. They want to only refund me $88.74. I have filed a BBB complaint (again - my second with them).

I had put a review about not using Liberty for it. I had a garage door opener and they gave me the garage door opener, but wanted to charge me to have it installed. I went back-and-forth with them and they said that if I would put another review out there, letting people know that they offered me a $300 settlement And I did after a while agreed to do that and I did write a review telling people that they offer me a settlement of $300. They said I needed to sign a settlement letter and were emailing me. This is going on like 3 to 4 months and they say it’s emailed to me, but I am not receiving the email. I called the other day. He said he would personally email it to me the settlement which has not gone out. So on top of them not fulfilling my warranty properly. They also lied about the settlement so I would not trust them at all. I did offer them also to mail it to me and I would sign it but they said they will email it. Be careful.

We have had nothing but issues with this company. People purchase home warranties because they have aging items they want covered. Buried deep within, and hidden from outward facing view, are coverage clauses. LHG depreciates items VERY QUICKLY and at a steep drop off. If you have any aging (read: at ANY age) equipment, you are better off opening a savings account with the money spent on their warranties. Each call has been met with 40+ minutes of hold times and indignation when actually answered. LHG's "customer service" is outsourced overseas so good luck actually understanding them. LHG is the business of making money PERIOD. From my experience, they do not care about helping their customers.
Our water heater died on a Thursday, and we filed a claim. The following Tuesday, a tech was finally dispatched. The plumber indicated the unit was dead and could not be fixed. The following SUNDAY a person from their resolution department called and offered 200 dollars, of the 2000 dollar limit. We had to pay 125 to file the claim.
In essences we were offered 75 dollars on a 7200 replacement quote. LHG doesn't tell you their "dispatch" team do not work on weekends but the "resolution" teams do. When going through a loss of hot water, it doesn't matter what their department schedules are. If one department works weekends, they all do. In our view, it took LHG 5 days to even dispatch a tech. Then another 6 days for the resolution team to tell us to pack sand. We have been without hot water for over 20 days now. We have had five separate plumbing companies out all with quotes over 6800 dollars to replace our unit. We will not be adding our receipt to make this a "verified buyer" review. We have been customers for over three years with two claims both with the same dismal "customer service."

The agent I talked with (Ostin) was empathetic and was able to explain with respect to the actual status of the claim. The status on the portal is too broad, and the delay cannot be justified. I find there's nothing wrong with the agent, particularly Ostin, but the overall process and how it is handled by LHG are questionable.

He sent a check for $200.00, covering half the total cost of $400.00 for the sheetrock work. It's a fraud company, they fixed my electrical outlet and left 10-foot hole in the sheet rock, technician said he doesn't know how to texture it and someone else will come do it, no one came, I paid 70$ copay plus additional 275$ for my share and they still left a hole in my wall in 2 places. They offered me 50$ to do it on my own, really, you cut through my wall and then ask me to fix it myself. Really is that acceptable? The long rectangle patch is just the sheet rock placed to cover up. It's not patched, not textured, not painted. See photo.

Updated on 09/17/2025: LAST UPDATE: Following the outreach from Liberty on this post their customer service team let us know they were going to offer a refund for $350 for the poor customer service experience. Then we received a formal release to sign from them requiring that we remove all customer service reviews. So the last step in this was a low ball offer to ensure we stay silent about our customer service experience and not share it with other unsuspecting customers. Yuck.
Original Review: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We paid for the top tier plan for a year. When we went to file our first and only claim which was for our AC (during an extreme heat warning in AZ- 110+ degrees) they took 5 days to review the claim only to let us know they would cover nothing of the $2,000+. We spent hours on the phone, mostly on hold, and are going to receive no support from them after paying for the 'premium' plan. Learn from our terrible experience and don't give this company your money!
***UPDATE: The support that was provided after Liberty responded to our Google review was to say that now the AC needed to be fully replaced, and they would cover a total of $1,200 and we would need to cover the remaining 5-7k. This company is gross. If you want decent coverage and to not get screwed in the middle of a heat wave, go with anyone else.

These guys are scammers! Stay away! I spoke to an agent seeking information about a home warranty for 5 minutes. I decided not to go with this company as he was trying to upsell me extended warranties, was rude and condescending, and sounded like he was working out of his mother's basement. I later got an email to leave a review, which I ignored. Then got a text from 646-931-0595, this salesman saying I had not paid my invoice. I called him, told him I never got an invoice, nor had I ever ordered a policy. He said he sent me one, I asked for proof and asked him to re-forward the email he claims to have sent me.
Instead, he said "never mind, if you don't want it, I'll just cancel the invoice." I said no, prove it to me, send me the original email or any proof I agreed to or ordered any policy. He refused and just repeated that he would cancel it. Lying scum. He claimed we spoke for 5 minutes, and that I ordered a policy, but he has no record of it. This is nothing but a scam. Just some lying guy who became rude and condescending when I did not go along with his scam. Hell NO!!

Found licensed plumber who performed the work and submitted paid invoice pics to Liberty. Liberty Home Guard is the worst company I’ve dealt with. Not home warranty, the worst company PERIOD. When I first called, I was just exploring, but their silver-tongued salesman made promises that turned out to be complete fabrications, so I bought it despite already having a warranty company. LHG weren’t cheaper but the promises he made sounded good. 11 months later but when I called, they made me pay the service fee up front which is something no other warranty company has done. That was July 27th and as of August 18th, my issue is still not fixed, and no technician has shown. They sent me texts detailing appointments, but those companies have no showed me 4 times as of today. I called the technicians and usually they don’t answer.
Finally, the fourth company answered today. The company did not have a scheduled appointment for me and has never heard of LHG. Every time I call LHG, they send me to a call center in another country except their billing department. When it comes to taking your money, they’re all in but when it comes to conducting their services, they outsource to a random call center. My problem is getting worse, but they continue to run me around. I have now given them over $700, and they have done nothing. Even their contract is a scam. You don’t see it before you sign up, but it turns out the things they DON’T cover are orders of magnitude larger than the minuscule things they do cover.
My old home warranty company, who had their own technicians, covered pretty much everything. Run away! Their positive reviews are fake because this company has done absolutely nothing but take my money and won’t give it back. Don’t believe their reviews. You can tell they are fake because they always name the same couple of people they’ve talked to, which is statistically unlikely that everyone on the review site talked to the same guy named Derek at a company that outsources to somewhere on the Indian subcontinent. Read the other reviews for them and you'll see that if they do ever get a technician out, they'll refuse to pay for pretty much everything. $700 a year premium plus a $90 appointment fee just to offer $50 toward repairs sounds like the scammiest scam ever!

Didn’t help on my roof leak. The issue took a month and no resolution. I called my own technician to check and got a quote and told me they can only reimburse $200. The cost for the Leak repair is $1900. I will never come back with this company.

Agents don't answer the phone or answer and redirect you to the main menu to avoid talking to you. Techs don't show up/don't answer/ask you for money. DO NOT use this warranty because they are basically ripping you off. They don't fix the issue and don't answer your concerns.

I have been researching a home warranty for some time; the assistance that Freddy provided was informative, professional, patient, thoughtful (he took the time to truly understand the position I am in and worked with me and his supervisor on the price for 6 years). WARNING to potential LIBERTY HOME GUARD ("LHG") customers. Unlike other home warranty providers (like American Home Shield), LHG does NOT pay for labor. Thus, if you have an HVAC repair and if the part that needs to be replaced costs $100, but the repair/labor costs is $900, you, as the LHG customer, will be required to pay $900 (in addition to $100 deductible and your monthly payment). American Home Shield would cover the repair/labor costs. And if your HVAC has a leak, LHG will NOT repair the leak. My HVAC broke down and had a leak and LHG would not repair - they offered $1500 (partner discount, I surmise) for a new HVAC system. Total out of pocket cost was over $5500 (which included approximately $2500 in labor costs I had to pay). BEWARE!!!

After 3 years of having Liberty Home Guard as a warranty company and never using the service on the first service call they sent an unlicensed technician to my home. He caused water damage and electrical damage (Iceberg Climate Solutions owned by Drexel Copeland Jr of Atlanta). Liberty refused to pay for the repairs, refused to cancel the service and has been unresponsive. Drexel Copeland was unlicensed and his “Insurance“ Next Insurance denied the claim because he was unlicensed. This company is fraudulent and unprofessional. DO NOT use them!

They will not replace or repair your nice unit. They will only cover a portion of the repairs or replacement at the lowest possible functional model. An example would be a cheap dishwasher is 350. So they will give you 350 towards a repair or replacement. If you have any moderately feature rich appliances avoid them like the plague. The coverage is so limited they will ensure they make money off each customer even if they file claims or not. Total rip off.

Prior to this review, I had a review that explained a slow reaction on a garbage disposal replacement. Took over 2 weeks to complete. The Customer Service Dept. Team contacted me and totally rectified my prior complaint. I now have a dedicated team member to file a claim with and not have to deal with the App or long busy team member lines. THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT SERVICE PAYING CUSTOMERS!
All business have issues time to time, but few ever responded to address an issue. This Company took my dissatisfaction seriously and actually addressed the issue going forward and offered a free 1 time service call and a direct contact! WELL DONE LIBERTY HOME GUARD.

I made a mistake and changed from American Home Shield to Liberty Home warranty, I signed up for 3 years and Wow. 2 claims Dishwasher (cost me close to $400) and weeks to replace. This time a garbage disposal but only the $70 service call. But timing via App was lengthy. July 14 2025 -Disposal problem. No service man came. New disposal mailed arrive July 19th. July 25th installed and leaked. July 28th finally fixed/14 day repair. No personal contact, Only app and text messages, Never did talk to a person. My comment: IT'S EASY TO BE A PROFESSIONAL BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY AMATEURS. Whatever happened to Customer service. Just show me the $$$$! Hope I don’t need them because this is not easy to arrange for repairs. JUST SAYING!

We had a water leak in drain line, LHG send technician to fix, to find leak LHG charge extra $125 on top of my service call fees. So they charge me total $195. Tech cut couple places drywall to find the exact location of leak, now after fixing leak, LHG saying they are going to fix all drywall cut. One of the sales person from LHG, try sell the more policy, he saying he will make sure they will cover, but claim dept. saying, "That is wrong information, sales person gave you wrong information."

DO NOT buy from this company, it is a total scam. They don't tell you up from that they only cover parts, not labor. Also, when I filed a claim for my stove, I told them what part needed to be replaced. The technician they sent to my home didn't know how to replace that part, and without my knowledge replaced a different part instead. He replaced it incorrectly, and now BOTH parts still need to be replaced, and Liberty Home Guard is telling me I will have to pay for new claims to have them replaced. This is extortion.

This company is a complete scam. I was of the delusional mind that since they have a high claim fee of $125 I would receive better service and coverage. My garage door stopped closing all the way. So I googled the issue and it turns out the spring is bad. I filed a claim with them and a tech come out 2 days later, only to tell me the spring is broken and he needs to order the parts. Okay, great! Sunday morning I get a call telling me they only cover the parts ($221) and I need to pay for the repair which cost $531. So, I pay $69 monthly and $125 for the service call. That means I've paid for the parts already and then some because of all the months I've paid the premium without using service. So someone please tell me how any of this makes sense?!?! What good is having coverage for the parts if the company is not providing installation? Do y'all expect customers to put them in ourselves? CUSTOMER BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
