I would highly recommend Liberty Home Guard for their home warranty. They usually set up an appointment to take care of my problem within 24 hours and make every effort to resolve my issue as timely as they can. Replaced my built-in microwave after determining that the part was significantly back-ordered. Thank you, for the past 6 years of service.
Caitlin, thank you for the kind words and the high rating!

I went with Liberty because they promised customer service, ease of contact and quick resolutions. I now have my 1st claim, which has been under review for 2 weeks for a new water heater. Liberty claims that they can't reach the tech which is completely untrue. The tech has actually reached out to them several times on my behalf to try and resolve. He is being told by Liberty that the holdup is me. Every time I call I get pushed to a different department with a promise of a call back, which never happens. I have been told there are no supervisors that can be contacted or spoken to. I am basically, hostage to their lack of response and now 2 weeks without hot water in my house is beyond frustrating. At this point, I regret choosing Liberty as my home warranty company. Additionally, the sales person who promised to be my personal agent does nothing but quickly forward me to another department that is a long hold going nowhere.

After my last review I finally received a callback, so I retract my last rating from a 1 to a 4, I thank you for reaching out to me in a timely manner and getting in contact with the Tech. I finally got a hold of him as well.
Original Review: March 31, 2021
I had filed a claim and a tech came out. I called to see the status. They transferred me to account department, I was told that lack of maintenance they are not paying the full claim, I work in property management for 7 years and I never heard that a fan motor and a capacitor goes out due to lack of maintenance. This is an insult to my intelligence. They only said that not to pay the full claim. So I asked what are the stipulation to cancel. He provided me with the information and didn't attempt to save the account. I called the tech. to ask him what was the diagnoses to the AC. He said it was wear and tear and I mention the the representative said it was due to lack of maintenance. Long story short they will take your monthly payments but dare to file a claim they will short change you.

No urgency to resolve a claim. Our AC went out, we made claim on 03.25.2021, the tech came out two days later & informed us our compressor needs to be replaced. The tech never submitted the diagnostic to Claims Department until 03.29, after I reminded him several times to please do so. Now Liberty does not know if they will cover the compressor because they don’t know the past maintenance (we purchased 6 months ago and there was no reports of any issues with HVAC at the time).
According to our inspection report there was not one single issue with our HVAC. I’m Not sure why it’s so hard to see if a part is covered or not. I do not feel right about this situation and seems very unfair/shady for them to keep us waiting 6 days with no working AC just to tell us if they’ll even send a tech back out or not. After several conversations they told us the issue may be resolved in a few days, which will put our family over a week without an answer or a resolved solution. If you’re purchasing a pre owned home, I strongly recommend to look at other companies. Claim #**.

NO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY!!! I purchased a policy from Liberty Home Guard for dates 11/16/19 to 1/15/21. I did not use them at all during this period. Around September of 2020 I started getting daily emails and texts about renewing. I called to discuss and I am not kidding when I say they were rude and very pushy. I caught one guy in a lie as he told me this rate would not be honored once I hung up the phone, then I called the guy I used before and it was him!!!! He acted like a different person. Very shady dealings and extreme hard selling, it does not bother me, but I feel so sorry for the vulnerable and elderly that have no idea.
I purchased a second policy and when my AC went out they would not fix or replace....but wait, they really had my best interest and wanted to sell me one of their units at a discounted price. Three techs said this was not right of them, also the countless hours and hold times and different departments they send you to is just ridiculous. I could go on and on, I cancelled in January of 2021 with formal letter and they just now cancelled my policy in March. Please don't use this company, they are not good people, and if you do be sure to use a major credit card so you can dispute, believe me you will need it.

A month later a tech shows up with no clue who was paying him and also had to get the work order approve by LHG requiring another $75 deductible fee. 2 weeks later claims department tell me they will pay for the $25 replacement part and I would have to pay for tech's labor and they would get back to me on it. 3 months later no repairman. Repairman said he had his part ready to fix the refrigerator. Liberty Home Guard had another part that was being shipped to me but never shows up. Then I call claims department and they said that they didn't have the part model number that they had to get it from the tech but collected another monthly premium payment. Then I called claims department they tell me my refrigerator was under the GE warranty and it was no longer covered under Liberty Home Guard. Really what am I paying for ?

My dishwasher broke and was actively leaking water. Turned out it was actually a pipe that was near the dishwasher. I was in a panic and called Liberty right away. The reps explained to me, step by step, how to stop the active leak and they also prioritized a plumber. They told me a plumber in their network was actually in the area wrapping up a job and that they would see if they could get him to stop by my house on the way. The plumber was at my house in 25 minutes and was actually able to fully fix the issue later that day. I could not be happier with their service.

Liberty Home is the worst. Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. I've been in customer service for forty years and have NEVER been treated this way. They have no integrity. They lie and put you off, never responding to your concerns. I call them regarding my range issue in September, they promised my 86 year old MOM that they would fix it before the holidays. After November I contacted them of which resulted in a lie, they got back to me in December indicating they could NOT find the part, therefore offering me 200. Dollars as my unit was too old. (10) years. I became so frustrated and was then offered a replacement for about 1400.00 dollars. I became so angry ???? I simply asked for the two hundred dollars they then wanted a receipt, my blood pressure exploded. Only after threatening to go live on a review did they back off.
10 days later I received a check with no signature name other than Liberty. This company is a con job, if you value your money and mental state stay away from THESE hypocrites and thrives. They provide no senior manager ever to resolve your issues. I've would never recommend them to anyone except to tell THEM how bad they are. STAY AWAY.

I submitted a claim on 8/07/20 for my LG freezer that would not reach proper temperature. It wasn't until 11/03/20 that a representative finally admitted they were not going to be able to complete the repair and I should just contact LG. However, the 5 year limited warranty on the Fridge expired during this battle with Liberty Home Guard (LHG)! I did contact a new technician with Texas AC & Heat, who came out the same week and repaired the freezer. It took LHG 90 days of stringing me along to admit they could not complete the repair. It took Texas AC & Heat 2 days to repair the fridge. The bill was $350 and the LG representative explained that if the limited warranty had not already expired, they would have refunded me any labor costs. In other words, I lost $350 plus the $260 I've paid LHG over 4 months because of LHG's incompetence and/or fraud.
I submitted many concerns via email on 9/30/20, as was suggested by a representative who would not pass my call along to a manager. I never received a response to the email. Then I submitted another email on 10/20/20 asking for a refund of at least $260 as a sign of good faith, since that is the money I paid them but they were not able to complete the work. I did receive an apology from Aaron G and a statement that they would draft a refund. I received a drafted settlement two weeks later on 11/5/20 (after I had already been billed for another month of $45) for the amount of $45. I called and emailed again and they refused to even offer me a refund for the $80 deductible. Keep in mind, this $45 refund was dependent on me signing a legal non-disclosure agreement (which begs the question, how many other customers have paid for services they could not or would not fulfill?)
I filed a complaint with BBB on 11/20/20 and 2 months later got a call from Aaron G again. He said the previous refund offer still stood if I signed a non-disclosure agreement and then he said, and I quote, “There is no refund due here- I’m going above and beyond, I didn’t even need to schedule this call with you.” This is completely unacceptable customer service.
Below is a list of 3 months worth of events that outline LHG's incompetence and/or fraud.
1.) We started with LHG in Summer of 2019 and submitted our first and only claim on 8/07/20 that our freezer would not reach proper temperature. When I called to submit the claim the representative suggested I use the web-based portal as that would be "easier." When I went into the portal it said my home warranty had been cancelled. I knew that was false because we were up to date on payments for the past 12 months. I had to call back and wait on hold again. The second representative corrected the cancelled status and suggested I submit the claim over the phone- contradicting the first representative.
2.) After the technician came out the first time, he concluded the issue was likely the control panel and that I would need to call LHG to get a new panel for the fridge. I did so and gave the exact specifications of the fridge including serial number and model numbers. They said they would ship out the part and I would receive it in about 7 days.
3.) A week later, the part had not arrived so I called LHG and they said the part was never shipped. They also said I needed to call LG instead because the compressor was under warranty. I explained that while the compressor was under warranty, the control panel was NOT. This representative really confused me because the technician said I needed a new control panel, not a new compressor, but he insisted I needed to contact LG for a new compressor as well. I reached out to the technician who confirmed we did not need a new compressor just the control panel.
4.) I called LHG again and restated what the technician said. Then LGH said they did not have the serial or model number on file and would therefore need me to send it to them again. The representative was unable to explain why the part was never ordered in the first place. They said they would call when the part was officially ordered. However, they did NOT call and instead the part just arrived while we were out of state. We had to arrange a friend to come to the house and retrieve the package so it wouldn't sit out for a week.
5.) The part arrived and a week later the technician came to install. That is when he discovered we were sent the WRONG control board. I called and talked to an LHG rep who asked me to email him a screenshot of the EXACT control board the technician needed ordered. He confirmed he received the email and the part would be sent out.
6.) A week later the part had not arrived so I called LHG and was on hold for 35 minutes before I finally got the answer that no- it was never actually ordered. He said, "I'm sorry this won't happen again." That was indeed frustrating because this was the SECOND time LHG did not follow through with the promise to send the part.
7.) The technician came a week later to install. Not only did it not work, now the fridge won't reach the proper temp and all the food in the fridge has gone bad and the ice maker has stopped working!
8.) A new technician came to the house on 10/10/20. Every time I called LHG over the course of the next 3 weeks (5 separate calls) I was told they were trying to find a technician who could do the repair and I would get a call back. Not once did I receive a call back.
9.) When I called on 11/03/20 I finally spoke to Max who said I should just call LG directly to have them do the repair. By this point the 5 year limited warranty on my refrigerator had expired and it cost me $350 to do the repair- the technician came out THE NEXT DAY and fixed the fridge that LHG was taking over 3 months to do. LG explained that if this repair was done before October, they would have not charged or refunded the cost of labor as part of the 5 year limited warranty but the window had passed while LHG was stringing me along.

We had never used a home warranty company before, and we were about a month and a half in with another home warranty company we went through. We had to wait for the 30 days with this other company and within one to two claims, they were shoddy with their customer service. It wasn't so much the claim by the time that was done, it was the callback to being able to contact somebody. It was terrible, so I wanted to look into other options. I looked at ConsumerAffairs first and I did more research with Liberty. I saw that they had good ratings and I was very pleased when I saw the reviews, so I chose them. I called on the phone and the application was super easy. Liberty has been a breath of fresh air to deal with. We have four properties that are insured by them and we’re very pleased.
I'm very satisfied with the plan. We've had three claims and the repair people have been superb. All of them have been first class. I never heard of one of them and when I researched them, they were 45 minutes away. I liked them, so I'm going to start using them for other services. There was also a plumbing company that's very reputable in our county that they had never used before. When we had a plumbing issue, Liberty called them and worked it out with them. Some businesses don't want to work with home warranty companies, but the plumber said that Liberty paid them upfront. The quality was very good.

Since I started I tried to put one claim in and I called several times and I had to get someone to call me back because no one was available. Then I when I finally gave up and I submitted my claim online and the service fee was 85 dollars which I agreed on 65. When I seen the 85 I had no idea where that price even came from and no one could give me a answer. After paying it and submitting the claim the Plumber came out to look at my bathtub and they tried to get a hold of LHG also after and could not reach them after several attempts.
After a week later I finally got a hold of LHG and they informed me that they would not cover the problem because it was impossible that it started within the two days the claim started and it was pre existing. I had a great conversation with Sam who was the sales guy. He did a great job explaining the policy. I had been burned by several home warranties that were great at one thing which is collecting your payment. When it comes time to make a claim, it is finger-pointing. I told Sam that was my experience with other home warranty companies and he said, "We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have a very large network." He also talked about the pest control, gutter cleaning and roof leak checking and repair which sounded great. I don't need to be on a ladder getting leaves out of my gutter. I almost signed up for the three-year $3,000 plan but I thought to see what the reality is in the first year then we can renew it if it's a good experience.
I have some older equipment. I live in a house that was built in 1992. I've got an air conditioner that's 20 years old but it's working like a champ. I've got a washer and a dryer that are probably six years old. I had a hot water heater that hadn't had any issues but it was 13 years old. We had lived in the house for five years and I hadn't called someone out to service the hot water heater to de-scale it. The guy was talking about replacing units if there's a problem. I had other home warranties that cut corners and I asked if Liberty replaces kind for kind. He said they do. I bought the policy and nothing was asked about everything working in the house. Nothing was stated about a waiting period or them sending an inspector out to check everything. Everything in the house was working when I bought the policy.
About 15 days in, I wanted to get my pest control done and the leaves are falling here in South Carolina. I was excited to use my plan. I called in and they said my policy's not active for 31 days. 20 days later, the hot water heater went hot then bleeped out on cold and turned cold. It only happened once but I thought of getting it serviced. They said, "No, you mentioned your hot water heater in your call to your salesman. That's a pre-existing condition. We're not covering that." They sent a tech out who said "What I read on google is just that your igniter or your valve control is bad. I don't want to mess with it. It's above my pay grade." The caliber of people they're sending out is not good. If a guy shows up and tells you, "This is above my pay grade. Can I have the $75 anyway," that's red flag number one.
Liberty sent another guy who came out two days later. The company was One Call Plumbing and the guy didn't live up to the name. He said, "That unit is fried. I'm gonna recommend they replace it." I didn't buy a home warranty so I could get brand-new equipment. I did buy it because I have older equipment and it was time to start protecting the house. I got a nine-to-five job I got to take care of and this is why people get home warranties. I got a phone call and sure enough, that claim was denied. They said it's pre-existing though it's not. Red flag number two is when something happens, they don't want to pay.
I asked for a supervisor and they put a supervisor on. I said, "I really enjoyed talking with Sam. If you get a 31-day waiting period to protect your interest, I understand that but disclose that on the front end so everybody's on the same page. Be crystal clear about what the ground rules are." He said, "Sam does a great job for us. He's one of our more honest salesmen." He probably misspoke but to say that somebody is one of their more honest salesmen, what does that make the rest of their salesmen? Crooks and thieves? That was red flag number three.
He said, "I'll offer you $350." I said, "How about you give me my money back and I'll leave an honest review and we'll just go our separate ways?" He said, "That's extortion. You're threatening me with a negative review." I said, "No, sir. I'm not threatening you with a negative review. I'm saying that the way you treat people matters and my truth is valid. I've signed an affidavit stating I knew nothing about this and that everything was functioning when I purchased the policy. That is 100% true."
They said they were going to give me a refund. What's crazy is they sent me a refund but it was a gag order. Point-six in the clause was, "You can't leave a review." No wonder these guys got an A+ rating. If you put a gag order on anybody that's ever gonna say something negative about your company, it's easy to get an A+ rating. I really want the home warranty. I'm really bummed because if I could hit the reset button on this thing, I would undispute the charges and would tell them, "I went down there yesterday and tinkered with the hot water heater. It's working again." But they're sending people that don't know what they're doing and it's gotten so messy at this point.

I switched to this company because of the good reviews and what the website said. But they misrepresent themselves big time. My 2011 dishwasher broke and they came out. I pay over $60 a month for the best coverage and it is $80 per house call per broken item. The technician said it was my control board and Liberty Home Guard took over a week to get back to me to say it was a covered part and they recommend the unit be replaced because of its age. They said they would contribute $150 towards a replacement. I was aghast. In Their website it specifically states several times if a unit is broken and they recommend replacement they will replace it. It does not say ANYWHERE that they will “contribute” to the replacement. If it did I wouldn’t have chosen this company as that is NOT what a home warranty is for. Especially only $150 when it’s an $80 house call fee and over $60 a month. So I tell them “not acceptable” and they say they will call me back.
About 5 days later they call me back and offer me $200 to contribute towards a replacement. I tell them under their FAQs on their website is specifically reads that they replace units, not “contribute to replacements”. They tell me to look in the fine print on my contract and that this is all they can give me. I say “not acceptable” and I’m waiting on my 3rd phone call back and it’s been almost 2 weeks with no dishwasher and I’m supposed to have a premium policy. Doesn’t feel like it. I switched from choice home warranty and they never treated me like this and covered replacements. And it was much cheaper and you could do everything online.

We just bought a house and we were looking at getting service. We thought of using American Home Shield, which we had previously. Then, looking at something on the web and doing comparisons, we came across Liberty Home Guard. There was some sort of comparison chart that showed a grading of home warranty services and based on that, we thought, “Well, we've had experience with American Home Shield for quite a few years.” We thought we’d try somebody different that seemed to grade out a little better.
We applied to Liberty Home Guard over the phone, which, as opposed to filling out paperwork or going to a website, was different. But it was okay. It was kinda difficult to make an informative decision without really being able to lay things out in front of oneself and kinda try to figure out which could be the best plan for our situation. I suppose it would have been helpful. They offer a discount but I wasn't thrilled to hear, “Well, you gotta buy it today or in the next 24 hours, or you lose this opportunity.” That kind of stuff doesn't get my attention very much.
One thing that I was a bit bothered was we had just barely moved into the house. I called on the 4th of October. We just signed the papers on the 25th of September. There is a 30-day period before the policy kicks in. I would have thought maybe there would have been something that would have been available. They said, “Well, you did buy this house. We do kick in sooner or whatever the case may be.” That weekend, before I knew whatever the problem was, we had a problem with pipes freezing. It was 65 to 70 degrees outside. It turned out there was a furnace that had to be replaced but because it's within that 30-day period of signing up, it couldn't be covered. That was a major expense. I was disappointed about that. So, hopefully, there won't be anything else going wrong. But if there's something major, I'm gonna be definitely using Liberty.

I spoke with a couple of different companies and the guy at Liberty Home Guard offered me a deal because we have multiple properties. I had a service request for an electrical issue and I called them on the phone. It was easy enough. They didn't have anyone in our area, so I had to find someone. I wasn't terribly surprised that they didn't have someone in our area because those particular properties are in a very small town. So, that wasn't unexpected. They did a great job of going ahead and covering it then and they did pay for it. I was satisfied with the way they did it.
Also, I liked the salesperson that I dealt with in the beginning really well. The young lady that helped me with the claim was okay. I did get irritated that they wanted me to send in some paperwork that said that I wasn't trying to rip them off. They were all new policies. I made sure that if something happens before the policy went into effect, I didn't bother calling. So then, the first time that I did call, I got, "Well, you need to fill this out and tell us you're not trying to take advantage."
That was pretty annoying. I almost canceled all the policies over that. Then, I noticed that my property management guy when he did a claim a few weeks later, he had to fill one out too. I was like, "Wow." They have a time limit, we abide by it, and then we still get clobbered with that. That's ridiculous. But that was really the only thing negative. Liberty Home Guard was as advertised. They did what they said they would do.

I went to a site that listed the top 10 home warranty companies. I've had Total Home, AHS and somebody else. I wasn't too happy with Total Home. The agent from the site advised me that AHS was a good company, but they had expanded too much and is unable to service everybody under the program. So, I went with Liberty based on that. I thought Liberty was gonna send me a contract but I looked it up online and read the contract and it's a typical contract. There are a lot of things that aren't covered. I understand that. The things that break are not covered, but that's universal to all the home warranty companies. I was just looking for something that covered major repairs. Liberty's price was not that good, but it was good enough for me to subscribe.
Total Home was 40 months for about 2000 and their deductible was only $45. The deductible I have now is 65, but I wasn't happy with Total Home because they would take your call on weekends, but they wouldn't provide service until weekdays. If I had an emergency like a well pump went out, I had to hire somebody to provide me with a new pump because Total Home doesn't provide service on weekends. I asked Liberty's agent and he said they provide service on the weekends.
The agent I spoke to at Liberty was Sam. The other company that I talked to was rated quite high, but they didn't call me for two days after I put in my inquiry for them to call me back. Liberty called me back right away. I ended up going with Liberty because Sam was knowledgeable. He was persuasive. He was a good salesman.

While submitting a claim to Liberty Home is easy, them responding is a completely different story. I'm aggravated about a couple of things with them. The technicians they have sent have been terrible. The first time I called was for my air conditioning and the tech they sent completely lied to Liberty so he can make as much money as possible. What he said was wrong was not wrong. He tried to charge Liberty $1,000 for that. It cost me $30 to fix what was wrong and Liberty still charged me the $65.
Two weeks ago, I had a septic tank claim that was approved in full. At the same time, Liberty's techs were supposed to come and get my over-the-range microwave fixed. They never showed up so I called Liberty. They said that for some reason they didn't run my claim through. They ended up running it on Monday through my debit card and took the money out for the deductible. I'm still waiting for somebody to call me. If I didn't pay for a year in advance, I would have already gone to another company.

I have had Liberty Home Guard for almost a year. I have had 2 claims that were both denied. The first one was a built-in microwave. It was denied because mechanical switches are not covered. The second was a leak in my evaporator coil. The system is older and it was denied because they said that the coil was not a mechanical part. I do this for a living and rest assured the coil is a part of a mechanical system. The coil itself has a piston and cap tubes or a TV valve. It is mechanical. My company will no longer do business with any warranty company because they find a way to deny almost everything. Don't waste your time or money on this scam.

I was with a company for two years and there was a situation that their call center where you put in your claims was in the Philippines. It was really messed up bad. I decided to change carriers and I went with Liberty Home Guard for less than 24 hours. But I discover that the salesman, Daniel, had repeatedly lied to me and told me that they had an A-plus accreditation with the BBB along with a number of other things. I should have just said I would do my research and to call me back the next day. But I didn't. I signed up with them then I did my research.
I was really disgusted and didn't like that Daniel repeatedly lied to me. After I confirmed that a number of things that he told me were not true, I started reassessing the conversation and realized that he did a number of things that used car salesmen do to get your trust and stuff. The whole thing just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
He had given me his personal extension. He told me that if I ever have a problem, I should just call him, so I did and I called him out. I said, “You told me that your company was an A-plus with the BBB and you're not even accredited,” along with a number of other things. There were thousands of complaints against this company. When I read some of their complaints and reviews, a number of the people said how charming Daniel was. I agree he was. I said something about how my grandkids call me Bobs because it’s short for Bobby and Daniel jumped on that like ants on sugar. Also, I told him that my mom was Jewish and immediately, he told me that his grandfather was Jewish and this and that. Looking back, I realized how he used every playbook in the field to make a connection with me to reassure me that he would never cheat me. It was just really sleazy. I was embarrassed at how easily I was played.
The charming, sweet, and suave gentleman that I had spoken to the day before when he was selling me a policy, changed into a very rude and different kind of person. I cancelled the policy because it literally had been 24 hours. Legally, I had 30 days. The cancellation happened so quickly and they refunded my money in a couple of days. I was initially told it could take 15 to 30 days, which didn't sit well with me, and I told the rep that. I saw the refund come through in two days. I think they realized that they had not handled the situation ethically or legally. It was not a positive experience at all and I learned a lesson. Don't believe anything a salesman tells you until you do your own due diligence.

I've signed up with the company a year ago after reading the stellar reviews. The cost was acceptable and the initial interaction with the customer service team was very pleasant. However, this was the end of the good experience. The first claim I filed about a broken microwave, I was accused of fraud. After speaking with the management, the claim was processed and I finally received the appliance, which I had to install on my own.
My second experience with them was about an oven fan. The turnaround time on this claim was over a month after the initial estimate was provided by the repair company. I had to call the repairman multiple times, who stated that Liberty Home Guard does not pay the money owed, and they have terminated the contract with them. I finally begged them to finish the job, and paid for the labor myself.
The third encounter was about the HVAC trouble. The turnaround for this claim was over 2 weeks, all in the midst of the heatwave, and after all this they denied the claim. I ended up getting my own HVAC specialist and paying out of pocket for the job. Finally, I decided to cancel the policy with them. This this took 3 weeks to process from my initial call, and finally they got back to me stating that all the paid claims have to be deducted from the prorated amount of refund of $450, which left me with $0. Please save your time and money and go with another company. This insurance policy has been one of the biggest regrets of my life!

Unfulfilled Commitments and Poor Customer Experience. Having moved and purchased five homes, decided to try Liberty Home Guard due to ratings and voiced commitment to customer service. Sadly, I should have stayed with known companies. LHG is a newer company that has long call waits, finally has a new portal and looks for excuses not to service claims rather than meet the terms of the contract. Note that the contract has a limit/cap on reimbursable expenditures for the first three months. This is something that was not covered on the sales call and is hidden in the terms and conditions.
Since purchasing the service, there have been three service calls. On two of them, it took escalations to senior management to attempt to get the problem resolved. In both cases, it came down to LHG saying it would cost too much, not that the problem wasn't covered by the terms and conditions in the contract. In the latest, LHG indicated that an electrical issue would require further investigation since the cost is too high and LHG wants the homeowner to pursue other alternatives by hiring or performing investigative work at homeowner's expense, even though LHG accepts the initial diagnosis by its contracted electrician, but just doesn't like the costs.
On the second claim, the executive, David, offered some cost deferment and specifically asked me to provide a five star review noting his assistance. He made promises to improve service, cover it with his employees, and continue to better the site and overall experience. Sadly, three months later when LHG had a chance to demonstrate his words with a new claim, actions failed to deliver. Buyer beware as LHG is not the company it represents to be.

Today is Saturday, July 4th and we haven’t had water in our house since Sunday!! Let me tell you why and why to stay away from this company!! We had a pipe disconnect on Sunday night which caused us to turn off our water or it would flood our house. So I called Sunday night and she told me that they would dispatch this to claims and somebody will give me a call tomorrow. So Monday comes and nobody calls, so I called them. I tried very hard to explain to the woman on the phone what was wrong but she was not understanding and throwing in well pump and all this other stuff saying that it’s not covered and all this other stuff that was not the issue.
So finally we paid the $75, our trade fee, for them to have somebody come out within 24 to 48 hours, which is what we were told. As I have just explained earlier, today is Saturday and still nobody has come to our house to fix our issue. Who wants to be without water for 5-6 or even longer days? They’ve tried to dispatch two plumbing company to us that does not service that area. That’s the only progress we’ve have so far in 5 days!!
And when I would call, I would get “the dispatcher is working on it now and they will call you back within the hour” but nobody does. Or I would get “a plumber will call you within two hours. Maybe within a couple minutes” and nothing. So then I called back and it’s either “all representatives are busy and they will take all my information and put my call through to the next available representative and somebody will call me back” and nobody would call me for the rest of the day!! And the 24 hour thing is a joke!!
I have called, so far, 10 different times trying to get in touch with a representative and all I get is the call center and they would either take my information and mark it as urgent and send it out and still nobody will call me!! Seriously, I am so frustrated and tired of using my neighbor's hose and having to shower or wash laundry at my neighbor's house. If Monday comes and this isn’t fixed, they will be receiving a call from our lawyer. Our policy is paid in full and I will be cancelling and going somewhere else!!
Evette, thank you for the high rating!

One thing that I don’t necessarily like is that I have to pay before they even get somebody to my house. That part, I'm not real comfortable with. Normally, I don’t get charged until the service is complete. But, they charge you before somebody even comes to your door. It is what it is right now, but if I could change it, I would.

It took me two months to get to this point (on my outdoor spa repair). It is still not fixed. I have an issue with spa heater (I paid for the extra coverage) and they literally labored for two weeks to find a loophole to not cover the repairs. They Diagnostics said they heater was broken and one of the symptoms was water leaking. Every time my technician checked in with them, they had another reason to not pay. They sound good on the phone, and talked me into dropping my old coverage, but getting them to set up appointments, follow up with the contractor, and get repairs done, was a horrible experience. I am going back to my previous home warranty program as soon as possible.

I was happy with the coverage that I got from Liberty Home Guard. Their rep explained to me the way it would work. I got a copay for 50 something bucks if I'd need to get something fixed. One thing I don’t have that I want right now is coverage on some type of grinder thing for my sewage to go through. The rep had told me that I could always call back and add that on. Also, I had to call them back because they overcharged me. They had told me it’d be about three to four business days to get my money back, but I actually got it back the next day. A contractor from Around The Clock Appliance recommended Liberty Home Guard to me for a rental property that I have. Previously, I used to have American Home Shield which was a bit more expensive. The contractor said that he has never seen Liberty deny a claim and that they were always quick to get someone out to their customer. I went with them and I hoped the claim process would have been simpler. I hoped it could be online like American Home Shield had it. However, Liberty's website is under construction and I had to make a phone call instead. Still, everything worked out. Liberty's warranty could be more affordable. Regardless, when I used my warranty for my washer, they responded pretty quickly considering COVID has been slowing things down a lot. Around The Clock Appliance's tech came again and he was awesome. I got my washer fixed quickly.

We’ve been in the house for five and a half years and ni the first two years, we had a home warranty. Then, we stopped because we were paying deductibles, and some things were covered, and some things weren’t. We decided that if there ever was a major repair, then, we just would cash flow it and we didn’t need the warranty. We weren’t sure if we were getting the value out of it.
In the last couple of years, we have had some pretty big expenses. My friend, a sales rep for a builder, has some real estate that he has by himself. He bought a couple of builder homes and rents them out. He said to always get a home warranty. He always does and he was giving me examples of how he has used it over the years. We had already been kind of thinking about it and that was enough so I said okay. He said maybe I didn’t have the right one. I asked which one he used. He said Liberty Home Guard and the next day, I signed up.
I went online but it just said, “This much extra per year to cover the pool.” I called customer service because I wanted to get some clarification on some of the upgrades on our pool equipment. I asked, "What’s covered? Is it just the equipment? What about plaster, or the drainage and plumbing pieces of it?” The rep gave me clarification. Then he upsold me but he also got me some discounts over multi-year deals.

I wanted to have a change from the current company. I talked to a rep and he explained things well. The Libberty Home Guard warranty stops like one year and I decided to go for three years. We had a garbage disposal claim recently. The workman who came out was on a call most of the time and he said that Liberty didn’t approve right away whatever he asked. He showed us the disappointment straight away to us. So then he removed everything and got up in the disposal, and he didn’t fit anything back. He just left. The next day I spoke to Liberty and they said it was approved. I called the workman and he went out of his way to come back to fix everything although it was a little bit of a mess.

I did a Google search on best home warranty companies and providers and Liberty Home Guard was in the top three. So, I called them for a quote. The application process was fairly easy. The coverage seemed fairly standard compared to what the other one I had previously worked with was. Our AC unit failed, and so I called them. They dispatched an AC certified technician company and they came out here and had it fixed within three days. They were Bona certified. They were a legitimate AC company, so they work with folks that had the qualifications, at least, so far that I've seen. I've actually called them four times since we moved in. We had some issues with the house and each time, it’s been a certified provider that came in.
When I first got Liberty, they seemed a little reluctant to dispatch someone. My second service call was a plumbing issue and they asked me to provide them a written statement saying that when I had bought the house, this issue wasn’t preexisting. It was kind of an unusual thing to have happened because I just bought the policy. It was six weeks in and there was a period of time where you wait before you’re allowed to make a call, which is fine. I called them. I thought it was a normal service call. It was a plumbing issue, and they had me fill out this long document. They wanted me to prove that this issue wasn’t preexisting when I had set the policy up.
It couldn’t have been. I didn’t own the house yet. I told them, "I could send to you the home inspection if you’d like to do it that way,” which showed that I have no knowledge of the issue because we had the home inspected. They said, “No, we just need this filled out.” So, I filled it out and I sent it to them. After that, they called me back and dispatched somebody to rectify the issue. But I’m sure in that industry, it’s difficult to ascertain. Some folks probably do try to take advantage. I’m not one of those people, but that can happen.
One of the dispatched companies that came here explained to me that they tend to find ways not to provide service versus providing service. They work with all the home warranty companies. The gentleman actually said, “Well, we’re gonna fix this for you. And normally, this would be covered under home warranty, but sometimes, your specific provider doesn’t say it is.” I asked how could that be. It was a pretty basic thing. They said, “Well, we just have to word it very carefully on the claim after the fact. Otherwise, they might not honor it. Well, just don’t worry about it. You’ll be fine, but you just wanna be mindful of them in the future.”
For $3,000, I bought a five-year policy with this company. So, I’m hoping that what that individual shared with me is not true. That was a little disheartening. But each time I’ve had an issue, they have gotten back to me and they have dispatched a service provider as the home warranty provides for, which is why I purchased it. But there are some oddities about it. When you call them, sometimes it goes through an answering service, and then the answering service will tell you that someone will call back. They may call back for a day. They claimed to have a website to put your claims in there, which should be far superior to calling, and it would offer tracking and everything else, but that doesn’t exist either, even though there is this thing that makes it look like you can, but you really can’t. So, it’s kind of weird.
The one I used to have, when I call, somebody answered every time, and they took copious notes. I was allowed to answer things online and track it there. There was a lot more accountability and trackability. I can tell that Liberty is young and new, and I can kinda tell that when I speak to their folks. They're sorta getting used to their own systems. They could be really good. They just need to mature a little bit. But other than that, they solved the problems within a reasonable amount of time.

We had one incident and I called Liberty about it, and there was a technician who came. But based on my discussion with the technician, she did not fix everything. She fixed only half of what the issue was. That means we still have the issue. I'm not a person who understands electronics. I will be happy if I see them. If I have issues with my refrigerator, to have somebody come in and take care of it is how I want it to be. But somebody came and told me, “A, we can do, B, we cannot do because they told us not to do B, they told us only to do A.” I asked her, what will happen if they don't do B. She told me they'll come back in a couple of years. That doesn’t make me happy but I think for two years, nothing will happen. But my expectation was it will be totally taken care of.

I was looking to get out of my current warranty because it seemed like every time I needed a service call, they either couldn’t fix it or wouldn’t fix it. It was just always an issue. I went ahead and purchased the warranty on-the-spot with him. He offered me other options as well. It was very easy, quick, and definitely a good process.
Recently, within the last month or two, we had a plumbing issue. I called them and one gentleman came out. There was some miscommunication. He said that the amount was too much, according to Liberty, and Liberty wasn’t gonna use them. When I called Liberty, they said that wasn’t the case. They just had to get it approved and they did that. Then Liberty sent them back out. So, initially, it was a bit frustrating because it was like, what does it matter, how much it is? We needed to get it fixed because at the time, we weren’t able to use the restroom downstairs ‘cause there was a lot of water leaking. I don't have access to that and I’ve asked them to send that to me, which we’re still waiting on. Also, their online portal is supposed to work to schedule any issues if we need to submit a claim. The site was down in October and it’s still the same thing so, that’s frustrating because I’d rather do the more efficient way than calling and not getting anyone. So, it hasn’t been great. We had an electric issue with the switch in the house so we put in a claim. The reps called me back and we processed the claim with the deductible that we have on it. The first experience I had with Liberty was for my AC last month and they took a while. I understand they have corona going on in New York, so they did take a while to process. So, I was not happy about that because it’s really hot here in Florida. Finally, after bugging them every day, they finally sent somebody and that got sorted out. Both warranty calls were during the corona time, so I’m hoping they’ll be better after the corona is over. They should communicate with the vendors better because they said they didn’t have any information. I also didn’t like that the contractor showed up here and said that I have to pay. First, you will get a high pressure sales pitch that if you don't buy immediately, the offer goes away. That should be a red flag. I fell for it because the sale rep Stephen ** told me that if you cancel within 30 days, you get a full refund. Turns out, that is a lie. In their own agreement, if you cancel within 30 days, they still withhold a 30 dollar cancellation fee. But, you don't get to know about that until after you already pay. Only after you pay do they send you the limited agreement. They really aren't 24/7 as they claim. Sure, you can call 24 hours a day to get to a call center, but you will be on hold for a lengthy time and they won't begin to connect to a service technician until the next day, may be the second day. So you decide to cancel. Well, you are supposed to get a prorated refund.
I cancelled on 2/13/20 and to this day they haven't refunded any of it. Then, you call out their shortcomings via reviews, they have to talk to their attorney, Charles ** as a stall tactic to get you to sign a one-sided settlement agreement as Charles ** hands you lies about why the agreement is necessary. After having their release agreement read by a lawyer, that lawyer confirmed my suspicion. If you do want to pursue an agreement with LHG, don't buy immediately, get the agreement first, pay special note to many of limits in the agreement, and be prepared for them to try to find reason why not payout on claims. Good Luck if you do! You will need it.

Sp do your homework and be very cautious. You might just spend the same amount on your own without having to go through the extra BS. The extra BS is the fact that they chose the service person. The service person came and then had to call them back to get verified, which extended the fix two additional days on my end. To me, it's a little ridiculous. While waiting for a callback, I went to the BBB website to check them out. Since July 2019 I see 16 complaints, and while I was reading them, I get a call from Leo, someone who works for this company. I tell Leo I am on the BBB site reading their complaints, and as a good SALES PUSHER, I mean sales person does, he starts telling me how much better their complaint rate is compared to other HOME WARRANTY companies are.
One complaint I asked Leo about was a leaky roof someone had, and why LIBERTY HOME GUARD refused to cover the repair? On their website they claim to give you FREE LEAKY ROOF REPAIR warranty? The person said they had to hire and pay from their own pocket around $1340 to fix the leak? Leo tells me they will ONLY cover PATCHES, and do not cover or replace a whole roof, just patches. I DO NOT THINK anyone could replace a whole roof for $1340 anywhere in America these days, unless it's a dog house! I said to Leo, saying just fixing patches is very general and vague, HOW BIG IS THE PATCH YOU TALK ABOUT, and HOW MANY SQUARE FEET do you consider a patch to be covered? Leo mumbled something about leaky roofs, and that I was not really interested in a HOME WARRANTY contract then HUNG UP ON ME! Wow!
First of all, I do not have a leaky roof. I was asking about the complaint on the BBB, WHEN THIS COMPANY CLAIMS to cover a leaky roof? Thank you LEO, so much for showing up what a lousy company it is! I can just imagine IF I did have a problem, how you would SQUIRM to get out of paying! Leo also told me to check ConsumerAffairs.Com website to read their good reviews. I did just that and found almost all the GOOD REVIEWS were about how easy it was to sign up. The BAD REVIEWS are all from people how NEEDED SOME TYPE OF SERVICE! And how long they had to WAIT to have someone come to the house and then be DENIED! Another complaint was you DO NOT see the full contract UNTIL you give them money, then if you do not like what it says, about what it does OR does not cover, try and get your money back, Good Luck with that! My advice is to STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN from this company! Thank you again Leo!

Mind you the warranty was paid in full during closing. "Well Mr. ** we can only pay 250 dollars toward the claim," excuses after excuses, and we never receive our refund. I followed the link on a posting from Consumer Affairs and it took me to Liberty. Then they contacted me within minutes after I clicked on a few links. Looking at their coverage on their website, they seemed like a good deal. They also offered me a five-year plan for a very good rate, so I opted for that. Their customer service when I was going through the application process was very easy. My experience was excellent. The gentleman I talked to was not pushy. He answered all my questions. And then he asked a couple of questions that caught me off-guard. He said that they have discounts for both veterans and those who were in public service, and they applied those to the plan I selected. He kept finding ways to make it a little more affordable for me. So, I paid for the five-year plan upfront knowing that if I ever get unhappy, I can get a prorated refund, which was important.
My house is 12 years old and things may start to go apart. I have my HVAC checked twice a year by the same company and they’ve done it since the day I moved in -- once in the beginning of the summer, and once in the fall when the heater is going to get used. I have washers and dryers that I’ve changed belts and motors and things like that. I take care of my equipment very well. But I’m getting up there in years and right now I have a broken leg from a severe motorcycle accident. So, if something happened to any of my equipment, there is nothing I could do. So, Liberty seemed to be a good fit for me. If there is an issue, they either come and fix it, or give you money to replace a unit, which I thought was handy. When I read the contract, however, there are a lot of exceptions that I’m not thrilled with, as well. But, overall, I'd definitely give them a try. If their plan fits your needs, they would be my choice.

Before I purchased a home warranty with these clowns I asked if a home inspection was required before I signed up. I was assured that a home inspection was not necessary and that I was buying a great warranty to "protect" my investment. Fast forward to today, Monday, January 13, 2020. I had called in a problem with a heating system problem last week and an appointment was scheduled for today. The technician came out and diagnosed one bad part on the outside unit and a bad gas valve inside of the furnace itself. He made a call to Liberty Home Guard and reported the issues. He told me they were researching the coverage and would get back with me.
This afternoon I received a call from Jason at Liberty Home Guard and he informed me that they were not covering any of these parts under the warranty because they couldn't possibly be bad without being bad as a "pre-existing condition." He then proceeded to ask me if I had a copy of a home inspection from when I purchased the home. I informed him that I did not because their sales department did not require one when I made the purchase. I then asked Jason how it was possible for him to ascertain when these parts failed and he told me that with his experience there was no way both of these parts could be failed at the same time. Needless to say but I am requesting a full refund of the warranty purchase price plus the service call fee for today's visit. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS, THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR ANYTHING!!!

I bought warranty from Liberty Home Guard for one of my properties. It was for electric wall heating unit. It has been now 3 weeks and still no progress. They send one technician and then after a week, they suggested to send another technician. Few days back that was also done, but they did not fix the heating problem. I keep calling them every morning and they assure, by evening it will be taken care. But no progress so far. Sometimes, they say, "Some case mgr will call you" and again no one calls. I am very disappointed with their service and warranty. I am thinking about cancelling this warranty and switch to AHS. I have their coverage at other properties, and they were pretty good with that.

The gentleman came out one day and said he could replace the parts, but they had to get approved by Liberty Home Guard, and it was like five days later. We were getting closer to Thanksgiving, and we weren’t getting callbacks from Liberty to say they were gonna approve it or not. Every time I call, it was still up for review. For this claim, everything went pretty well and smoothly. I had another claim and it didn't go as well. One had to do with the brand of my appliance which I was never told when I purchased into the warranty program. So, then I had to buy an additional coverage that I wasn't planning on to cover those appliances. And then with the claim, I was told that the company would only cover up to a certain amount. So, in order to get it fixed, I had to put out more money out of pocket. That one was a horrible experience.

Then, I asked for a quote and another guy ended up immediately calling. It wasn’t five minutes and I had three phone calls from different people that had hit their screens. So, they were prompt and I had no problem at all. I did some research and I talked to somebody in New York a couple of different times. He wasn’t pushy and he worked and gave me the best offer. I'm really pleased with Liberty.
The ice maker went and Liberty sent a guy out. I was going out of town for a couple of days and he thought I was going out of town for three weeks. I had to call back and ask where the part was because Samsung sent the wrong part which Liberty immediately caught so they had to do it again but I had no problem with that. I didn’t pay anything to Liberty and when I was with American Home Shield, I would have a $75 charge every time besides my insurance. AHS sent a couple of guys out that I wouldn’t allow back at my house. When something is broken and you know that the individual will only come out to your house on Fridays which is convenient on his way home from work is not the type of service I want. When the garage spring broke, I asked the gal from AHS on the phone if it was covered and she said that they would have to send out a person. The guy charged me $75 to tell me that it was broken and it wasn’t covered, and I already knew that.

We moved into our house in May, purchased a home warranty policy, as our realtor recommended, with of course no intent on having to use it. Unfortunately a part in our furnace went bad so we had to submit a claim. They came back to us and said that it was a preexisting condition and unless we could get maintenance logs from the previous owners (which we have no contact with) it would not be covered. Having no previous maintenance records on the unit, we showed them the inspection report from when we bought the home which said the furnace was in good working order and the duct cleaning that we had when we moved in and they were still not willing to work with us.
My father then called Liberty Home Guard to inquire about a new policy and specifically asked them about the elimination period for preexisting conditions, to which they said was only 30 days - the same information they told me when I signed up for the policy. They however, claimed this was not the case and denied the claim. That being the case we cancelled our policy as we no longer trust them to pay out on anything ever, without claiming it was a preexisting condition. Such a scam so please beware before you sign up and waste your money!

I was getting rid of my other warranty company and when I doing a search, Liberty Home Guard was in the top 5 as far as customer service goes. And as soon as I asked for some information, somebody from Liberty had called me. He was very friendly and helpful. Signing up was an easy experience. But I was surprised that they didn't ask for more information. The only thing they asked me was how old my home was.
There were errors in the contract though and we were back and forth for a week and a half. They took my money right away and I kept telling them that the start date was wrong. The warranty doesn’t need to start until November. They kept telling me that they were gonna send me a revised copy, but it took six emails until they got that right. However, getting in touch with them was no problem.
I’m very wary about home warranty companies, especially with the dealings I had with my last one. I was told I was gonna be covered from top to bottom, but when I had issues with my air conditioning in the middle of the summer, I went a month with no air. But I'm very pleased with the plan Liberty set me up with. And the coverage they’re gonna give me is gonna be fine if it is what they said it's going to be.

I own a couple of homes and I wanted to make sure that I had a warranty for the appliances, the washer, and the dryer. Liberty Home Guard got back to me more quickly than the others, and their rate was comparable to what I budgeted. And when they confirmed the process of repairs, it was pretty easy. I wouldn’t have to come out of pocket should an appliance need to be replaced and they would replace it not with a refurbished product but with a new one. All of those sounded right to me and there was no reason for me to go with another company.
The enrollment process was easy and seamless. They asked me for an inventory of the appliances within each home that I was looking to cover and then the rate was adjusted based on what each home had and what each unit had. Then they came up with a price and sent it via email. And finally, there was a 30-day wait period for the warranty to be active.
I have since used them twice for service calls and they have been extremely professional, attentive and responsive. They followed up and called back to make sure that the vendor reached out to schedule the appointment. Both service calls were taken care of promptly and the vendors that they used have been satisfactory so far. There were some issues with the payment with the first vendor though. They asked my tenant for a credit card when that was something they shouldn’t have been asked because the service call fee was already paid for. Liberty said the vendor was new and wasn't aware of the payment process. There was a mixed up with that, but Liberty spoke to the service person while he was there and resolved it.

We were with another warranty company and we didn’t like their service. We started looking for another one and read reviews from Liberty Home Guard's current customers, how the warranty has been done and what Liberty has provided to them. The reviews were all pretty much 4 and 5 stars. There were one or two bad reviews, but I think those were just unpleasable individuals.
Liberty's enrollment process was fast, easy and informative. We have our own special specific team assigned to us. We felt more like a customer than a number. Plus, I have someone I can talk to that speaks English very well instead of someone that sounds like they're 2,000 miles away and does not understand what I'm telling them. Thus far, I'm pretty satisfied with the package I signed up with.
However, the initial contractor assigned to me for my claim was extremely unprofessional. Supposedly, he wanted to come straight out to my home to fix the refrigerator right away without calling Liberty first. He didn't want to tell Liberty what was wrong and having them approve or not approve the parts to be fixed. When he found out, he called me and yelled and cursed over the phone. I told him to get off my phone and that I didn't need him to call me anymore. He called three more times and I hung up on him each time. He even had his wife call my phone and I hung up on her.
I kept calling my Liberty team member back and told them that the contractor was bugging me. I said that I'm a law enforcement officer and if the contractor didn't stop, I was going to take legal action on them. I gave Liberty the opportunity to fix the problem and they did. They cancelled the contractor and got Advanced Repair to come out and fix my refrigerator. Advanced Repair was great. They were very nice and courteous which is the way a contractor should be with a homeowner. They worked with us really well. I would highly recommend Liberty to any family and friend. They are a friendly, informative, upfront, and honest team that you could work with. They are miles above American Home Warranty who we had prior.

I googled a bunch of different companies, and Liberty Home had a good rating. I went with them because of the rating and the price. The application process was pretty easy and the rep was very nice. But submitting a claim was horrible. When my contract is up, I will not renew it. My air conditioner went out, and I live in Texas. It was running 100 degrees. It took them five days to get somebody out there. They never would return my calls. Every contact I had with them was me having to call them. And I kept getting promises and promises, they would call me back, they were trying to get something set up, someone would call me, and I would not hear a word.
So, we went five days in a 100-degree weather with no air conditioning. Then, when they finally got somebody out, it took him about 20 minutes to fix it. The contractor sent was wonderful. As a matter of fact, he was really busy but he still managed to make it out. I think he ended up coming at 6 o’clock that night. And he was very helpful and really nice. He was not the person that they had come out. When they finally got ahold of somebody, he was out that day. And that wasn’t the problem. The problem was I could not get Liberty to find somebody to even get out there. I kept getting the runaround. I had another warranty company with my last house, and I had them for over 10 years, and I absolutely love them. Twice, I had problems with my air conditioner in that 10 years, and they had someone in my house within two hours.

I was impressed with how knowledgeable and professional the sales rep was. I was up-front with him about our budget limitations and what we expected for coverage and cost and he worked to earn our business, matching as close as possible to the other coverages we'd be quoted. We ultimately selected Liberty because, although their coverage was slightly higher, their positive reviews were MUCH better.
Mr. Eric ** was our account rep. He was a bit pushy in making the sale (didn't want me to get off the phone or call him back), but he was patient, polite, and professional when I asked for him to verify his identity via email for secure payment and to send me a sample contract and hold while I reviewed coverages. Great rep - as long as you go in being knowledgeable about your min coverage and max price and then be firm with your rep, they'll work with you to provide the best coverage they can to give you an honest picture of what's possible.
I wouldn't recommend stepping into this conversation before you're ready or have shopped around a bit though. Mr. ** was a Birddog but he was able to decrease our rates because we're military in order to make the sale. We feel much more comfortable with what Liberty Home is able to offer in the way of accreditation and positive customer experiences for the price we're getting than we were with what Select Home Warranty was offering for almost the same price. We look forward to working with Mr. Thompson and his team at Liberty Home Guard in the future.

I moved into a house that’s about 12 years old and I decided that I wanna make sure my appliances are covered. I didn’t know how old they were and how they were gonna last. I applied for a warranty with Liberty Home Guard and it was easy. They emailed me with the form and I sent it back. From that point, we moved forward with it. But when you’re in the middle of moving, your brain’s going in every direction, so at that point in time, I didn’t know all the questions to ask. But it wasn’t hard. I just got in touch with their rep then he went over the plan. But I did not get all the information I would’ve liked to have gotten at first.
For instance, I did not realize that the coverage was only for the equipment and they don't take care of any of the installation. I’ve had to replace the garbage disposal and they just gave me the garbage disposal, then it was on me to get it put in. They didn’t recommend anybody either. If I had pushed it, maybe they could have. But I already have a friend that does it for me and I knew he could put it in for me. Also, there was nothing I could do to change the matter after I’ve already signed a contract. If I’d have known that, I would’ve shopped around more. When I signed up with them, I assumed that if my heat pump went out, they would replace it and include the installation. That to me, is a big expense, too, and when you get a home warranty, you're expecting not to have that big expense if something happens. But I assumed too much and I shouldn’t have. I take some responsibility for it too.
Other than that, when I was talking to the contractors, they told me about a reset button. Then they said that they would just send me a new garbage disposal. They told me they were going to send me an InSinkErator, but they did not. So, they sent me another one. I’m not learned in garbage disposals but I’ve always heard about InSinkErators, not the other ones. So, they sent me what was in the warehouse. It was the way it was put to me. It came through the mail and I'm assuming that it is a fairly good one.

Had very good service and they helped me with the broken appliances in my kitchen after an electrical shortage. I highly recommend them. Sent out a technician the next day and the technician was super nice and knowledgeable. They also were able to replace the broken parts and my microwave. Great Value!

I just signed up with Liberty Home and the rep I spoke to did a good job of explaining the policy to me. We just bought this house and their ratings online were better than everyone else's. Pricing was a tad higher but I believe in "you get what you pay for".

Liberty Home Guard helped me with a critical oven issue. I had a dinner party planned for the weekend and my oven stopped working on a Thursday. Liberty's team was able to dispatch Jonathan, a repairman who was super professional and competent. Jonathan was at my house repaired my oven before Friday night. Really happy. Highly recommend.

Great company! They are always available for assistance and support. I was wondering if I can put down in the coverage my old furnitures (which are really old and have heritage meaning for me). Eventually I surprised from the cost and from the conditions I got. The overall process and the contact was very convenient by mail.

90 degrees outside and out A/C went down. Called that evening, no return call for service. Called the next morning and by midday a representative called me back. He got someone out to my home the same day and the system was up and running before my husband came home; a plus. The experience getting through wasn’t great but overall the service stands true.

My husband and I were looking into which company was the most reputable and it came down to only two. After a few short minutes talking to a gentleman by the name of Alex, we both knew right then that this was the company to go with. He answered all the questions my husband could toss and his demeanor was very pleasant. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire call. Definitely recommend them.

So I own a few homes in Tornado Valley, and I thought to myself that now is the time to purchase a home warranty. My best friend suggested this company to me called Liberty Home Guard, so I gave them a call and spoke to James and he walked me through the whole policy. He was a wonderful salesman and I was so impressed with the dedication and patience he had with me over the phone. I suggest this company to anyone who owns more than one home and especially asks a lot of questions lol.

Liberty Home Guard was extremely responsive to my many questions and concerns and made the home warranty experience both seamless and enjoyable. I know I’m in great hands with the folks over at Liberty and can rest easy! I highly recommend working with Liberty over some of the other home warranty businesses out there who give the industry a bad name.

EASY as phone call, a brief discussion about my claim. A licensed Contractor scheduled with me directly and the AC was on again in less than 24 hours. My copay was all I paid. Plus Liberty kept in contact, both phone and email. Great service!

This weekend the pool heater went down, and of course my wife and kids refused to go swimming in the water because it went green. My wife and I agreed that it was time to purchase a home warranty, I jumped on Google and on the BBB. Liberty had the best rating. I ended getting in touch with them and I was really satisfied with their service and they were able to get a pool repairman out to my home in less than 24 hours and save me a ton of money. This Company is super reliable, and I hope to be with them for years to come.

I have dealt with other home warranty services and this company is significantly better. From the moment I engaged them, they were very easy to work with. It is comforting to be able to have a service protecting my home that I know will answer me any time they are needed and that is the confidence I have in Liberty.

I was away for the weekend with my husband for the weekend, and as soon as we got home we realized our AC system went down. In Vegas the heat tends to be unbearable and we felt we needed a home warranty company to help service our unit quick and fast. A friend of mine suggested Liberty Home Guard to us, and as soon as we called them we fell in love with their customer service and knew we were in good hands. I recommend this company to anyone that is looking for peace of mind.
