I am a review reader and I've read quite some good things about LGI and through hearsay. Of course, there's going to be bad reviews as well as good reviews but I weed them out. I saw some of LGI's properties online and I clicked a button that said I was interested in getting more information. Elder, the rep, reached out to me and he was awesome. He was the biggest help. He invited us to come in and he set us an appointment. We went to talk to him one Sunday and he let us know how possible it was to fulfill our dream of owning a home. We went in with the idea that credit is everything, but he let us know that that was not the case. As long as we qualified according to their guidelines, he said he was going to put us in a home and that's exactly what he did. He literally held our hands through the whole process even when we were freaking out. He was absolutely amazing. He was the best rep and I'd recommend anyone to him.

I love the home, but it became a little stressful when we were moving in because of the layout. With the stairs, when you enter immediately to your right when you first come in, we have a lot of king-sized furniture so that was a toughie. We also got a few nicks and dings in our brand new home which we didn’t want, but it's okay because it's ours. LGI Homes fulfilled our dreams. This was the first time me and my husband ever tried to purchase a home and it worked for us.

LGI Homes is a good builder with a good price point. I liked how streamlined everything was. The process was easy and from the time I looked at the house to the time we closed, it was 30 days. In the VA loan, that's unheard of. They did a great job. They have a friendly environment too. Our home consultant Marty was personable, as well as knowledgeable about the homes. We're getting everything together now so we can move in and so far, the build seems great. We're really happy.

There's no gutter and no drains at my new house from LGI Homes so that's an issue. I just have to do it myself now. I work in construction so I'm able to go in and fix stuff easy without making a big fuss about it. When I put up my ceiling fan the box was hanging out of the ceiling so I can see them rushing to turn that house over. Also the biggest thing that I'm upset about is the dining room area. The vent for the HVAC is in the location where the lights should be. So now I can't really get my table. The light and the vent should've been swapped. The light and the vent looks bad. It's just driving me crazy that I can't do anything about it.

But they made me really feel comfortable about the decision I was making. Fik of LGI Homes impressed me with his knowledge of the business and his willingness to work with the situation that I was in. But Fik was on top of it. He called me Thursday night like he said he would, to check on me and to check on the status of the loan, procedure and everything. He did everything he said he was going to do. He was the best home consultant that I've dealt with in my life. I've already referred to a co-worker.

I liked the LGI Homes incentives and everything you get with the house is A1. And the people that I was working with were real good. The rep was funny, and he explained everything to a T which was perfect. They had me at the right time and in the right area. The house itself was nice too, and it's a good home. Everything was great.

My mother-in-law had an appointment with LGI Homes and she invited us to tag along. We went in on a Saturday about 4 o' clock. We met with our salesman, Fred, for the first time and he walked us through the entire neighborhood, showed us all the different houses and the different floor plans, and gave us brief pricing on each one. Then he sat us down, ran my father-in-law's credit and my husband's credit to figure out, more or less, which price range we would fit in. Then he started narrowing down the floor plans that we would be more than likely qualified for and he told us about how much we would have to put down. He was very knowledgeable. We would ask really random questions and he somehow knew the answers. And if he didn't know the answer, he would ask for a minute and find out the answer.

We liked everything that he was saying. We liked the homes, the area and the fact that they were new build. We went back in the following day, to sign all the paperwork, and we made a check deposit of $1,000. Then we got the checklist of what we needed to bring in when we met with David, from the loan department. We had an appointment four days later but I called that evening to see if we could get in the following day and they were very accommodating. We did everything within three days.

David was a great man. He held our hand and kept us in constant communication about what was going on with the loan and what would be the process. Then he would call if he needed any more paperwork and he was with us every step of the way. We really enjoyed that connection that he had with us. Since I got here, the quality of the home and the community have been great. We love where we're right now. It's great. Now, we have more space for the kids to run around and for the dogs in the backyard. It's cozy and the home makes us so much happier now. I would recommend people to go to the information center and get as much information as possible.

We showed up at LGI Homes and everybody there was nice, friendly and informative. They went over the process and explained everything, and then we filled out some paperwork. Then we went and looked at the houses, and we decided on which one we wanted. The one we went with was a new house, but they had it already built and they were selling it brand new. They have a good process at LGI. Our home consultant, Gabe, walked us through everything well and informed us of how to process our home purchase. Also, the lady rep, Marlene, was awesome and she helped us a lot through the whole process of doing the loan.

LGI made the process easy and it took four weeks from when we started working with them up to the time that we moved into our home. The quality of the build seems really good. The construction man walked us through the house and informed us of everything about it on our closing day. The new community home that we live in is really nice and I like it a lot. In addition, the amenities that LGI offers are great and I’m satisfied. Living in our new home makes our daily life a lot better. I’d tell people to go with LGI. They have good homes and they help you out a whole lot.

The quality of the build was done good. And the house is in a nice community. But there's grass in the backyard so I need to start clipping some grass in the backyard

I liked the homes that LGI was building and I've heard really good information about them. One of my good friends bought a house from LGI and I'm at his house every Sunday so I've gotten a feel for it. The way he told me about the process, they made it so easy and everybody was so nice and courteous. There's also the warranty and the fact that the home is new and I don’t have to worry about certain things for a few years.

We walked into LGI not expecting anything, and we had Anthony and Cherry Anne who both did a great job. They walk you through and in doing the process, they'll call you and make sure that you're okay. Everything was perfect because it's my first time buying a home and they made the experience really good. LGI Homes has some good people working for them. I talked with a couple of my buddies at work who can't get a home, and I told them to be positive and go over to LGI, who will let them know whatever it is that they can do to help them through the process.

They did a great job and they helped me through everything. They gave me advice and provided me with all the information. Everything about the house is in great condition. But there are some minor stuff like some spots and cracks in the garage. Also, there is no one who lives in the community yet but it's quiet.

My parents met with the LGI consultant that we worked with first and we stayed with him throughout the entire process. His name is Mark and he was very helpful with everything. He didn’t try to smooth talk anything. He just gave us the opportunity to browse and do what we wanted to do when it came to looking at the houses. And he gave us the information that we needed when we asked for it. We needed a little more communication to see where we were at on things to keep us updated, but he was great.

We just moved in this weekend, so there are some things that I am still waiting to have fixed. I have not received or have been contacted by anybody yet to set up times about when those things are going to be taken care of. There were some construction issues that we had some problems with at the very beginning. There is a large incline on the left side of the house and for whatever reason, whoever built the house decided that they were going to put the gate on that side. It’s a very steep incline and with all the new sod in there, of course it’s very unsteady. It’s very easy to slip down, roll an ankle or break a foot trying to get to the gate. Whereas opposed to the side of the building, we wanted to see if they could put the gate on that side because it’s a lot more even for safety purposes of children and if my older parents decide to come over.

There was also a hairline crack, which we talked to Mark about, on the driveway and they said that if it gets any larger, they’ll deal with it. Plus there were some issues with the sod that they put down. They don’t seem to even the ground out underneath it and that proves that the lawn is going to be very lumpy ones the grass goes in. And so it’s going to take a lot of work to even everything out then level out the whole yard. It’s just a matter of tilling the dirt a little bit underneath before the sod gets thrown on top of it, and no one has taken care of that.

There's also the issue of the electrical box being outside the house as opposed to maybe inside the garage, and we were told that there was a code for it. You physically have to go outside of your house, lock the door and then proceed to go out to your electrical box to change out any breakers or to flip any breakers in the event there’s something happening, and then walk all the way back around towards the front of the house and unlock the door to get back inside. So if it’s raining or snowing, I don’t know if I’m allowed to get into that box or not, or if I just wait it out until it slows down. It's just a matter of them building that electrical box inside the garage instead.

Living here at LGI has been good so far. It’s not a whole lot different than what I felt like it would, other than it being in a different location. I would tell others to look into LGI Homes and if it’s something that they want to really dig into, then they have to provide all the proper information and documentation. If they’re willing to go through that then go through the process, go ahead and do it.

We purchased with LGI and the experience was not bad but not so great. The sales rep was very uninformative. At one point we asked for the sq ft for each room and she told us they are hand built so they can change from house to house. Seeing as though each house is hand built we asked her to check but never got an answer. This was pretty much how the whole home purchase process went. Our sales rep never really kept us informed or had any answers. Each Thursday we were suppose to get an update on the house progress which pretty much only happened if we drove out and inquired ourselves or spoke to her boss. Then the call would be made usually at 8 pm at night.

The idea that they can build a 2 story home in 30-45 days as we were told seemed unreasonable. When we questioned this we were assured each time that it was the correct time frame. Yet our closing was pushed back 2 times and we finally closed 90 days from our initial date of beginning escrow. This date seemed much more reasonable and had this time frame been given we would of had a lot less "why isn't this done and when will it be done" questions. The home overall is wonderful you get your money's worth in value. We have had a few warranty repairs that needed to be finished from the initial build or issues that arose after we moved in but they are quickly addressed and taken care of. This we appreciate.

The only real downfall of our purchase that we til this day are very unhappy with as well as many of our neighbors is they given you DEAD GRASS. We were told many times is that due to the hurricane which occurred during our building process that their normal vendor was under water and therefore this was all they were able to get, but to rest assure it would turn green and be fine. We later found that all homes were given this DEAD GRASS long before the hurricane. The grass has turned green and from a distance it appears to be acceptable but once up close it's very sparse with just dirt locations.

I had a good experience with LGI and I'm enjoying my home right now. I was looking for a home back in December. I saw some free manual homes, so I called my real estate agent to follow me down there so we could check out some homes and that was when we saw there was a new construction that was really going on there. We decided to stop at the LGI office and then I talked to them.

The first guy that I dealt with was Archie, and he talked about the home, the area, the highway and all the businesses that were around, how close we were to the freeway, the proximity from here to the town and the shopping malls. He really gave us a detailed description about the whole area. When they told me what they were going to do, I expected them to do that because I hate disappointment. And they did good from the time the house was in construction and then they took me there. I chose the unit that I wanted based on what I was qualified for financially so I have to go with them to double check the house. We looked at it and the floor plan was good for me and it was exactly what I wanted.

They walked me through and the decided to close with me. But there was a little delay and that was on my part because my loan was having a lot of issues because I have changed jobs. I have multiple jobs that I do so they had to pull up the combinations of the jobs to make the income to their satisfaction. It was not even two years that I started the other job so it kind of pulled up a little bit behind for when I tried to pull out the paper works there. They were able to get everything straightened out eventually, but I lost the first home because there was a delay and they had to sell it to somebody else. I was a little bit disappointed but that was not their fault. It took them about 10 days to close me from the time they completed everything, which was a very good timing for me. I really appreciated it. They did a good job, especially the loan officer. And my realtor made sure that she was on top of everything, so it was a blessing.

The only issue that I had was that they don't have a doorbell, which really threw me off this morning because I wanted the alarm system that have the doorbell camera. So I had to get somebody who can do all that. LGI also said that they don’t do the garage opener. But I saw some homes where they came through the garage opener and with the remote. So I had to install those alarms by myself too. I also didn't like the appliances that they used and I actually just sold the fridge. It's too low quality, and if you have a beautiful house, you don't want to put that kind of appliances.

LGI didn't give us an option to choose whether we wanted a wood floor or a rough carpet. I told them that I wanted my house to have wood flooring but they said they only have the carpet. So I had to spend another $4,400 to change the floor to wood. I can't even put my furniture in the house right now and everything is still in the garage because I don’t want to set up everything until they call me back to take all the carpet. Other than that, I have a roof over my head and that's the most important. I'm trying to settle in right now because I moved in this weekend. But I love the home and the area. I will recommend it.

I didn't want to deal with all the maintenance on the old house and LGI Homes was a little more affordable in price, compared to other builders. Ricki was the lady at the office and I was comfortable enough working with her. Travis was with the loan depot and he did the job. They had an answer for every question, so that was good. It was quick too. They would respond within the day. I just moved in and they have a park in the community. But there were some little things that I didn't like about the build of the house. The framing wasn't that straight. As soon as we started painting, I could see that some of the corners were crooked and then I may see some pieces of baseboard. Even one of the drywallers didn't do his job right. I could see big lines there in the texture and the work was a little sloppy. But the house is okay overall.

If I had any questions, he was very open to answering anything that I had. I was extremely comfortable working with him. There were minor things that were found during the inspection but other than that, I don't have any complaints about the overall build. I really like the neighborhood, peaceful and very quiet. He really was a big help to us in the process of buying a home, like the financing, and he was knowledgeable about all of that. We appreciated our salesman and the staff. Also, the whole process was very smooth and as far as I can tell, the build is very good. But the appliances are very low scale and inadequate. I would have liked to see them offer better quality appliances. But I think we're gonna like the community. A friend of mine lives in an LGI home in Jarell, Texas. We went with LGI too as we liked their price and everything was pretty smooth with their consultant, Amber. She checked and informed us of what she's doing. The communication was good and she wasn’t too pushy. She knew her facts pretty well and knew how the process worked so I felt comfortable working with her. I wouldn’t work with anybody else.

We’ve been in our home for about two days and everything has been good so far. I work for a builder as well so I compared LGI to them and there is no doorbell which is interesting. There is no bathroom fixture too like the towel bars. We thought that those were kind of weird but otherwise, everything has been pretty solid. Living in our new area helps and I’m closer to work. But we don't have amenities in the right now. They're building a pool though and it looks pretty cool.

I'd recommend LGI Homes. I bought a pre-built new home from them and they were very quick. I went and looked at the home, put an offer in it, and before 30 days were up, we were closed. And by 30 days, we were moving in. Josh, the sales rep, was a great young man. He took care of all of our questions. He was very courteous, cordial and just very good all around. Stella also handled all the paperwork for applying for the loans and all else there. It's been a very pleasant experience overall.

It's a very new community. There's a little over a hundred houses sold at this point. So far, the amenities that they offer are good. But I'd like to see a clubhouse. The quality of the home is good too and everything seems to be functioning well. However, we've got a couple of minor things that need to be fixed that they've got to get the builder back out for. We've got some couple of window trim, the rubber part that seals that window and the glass, sticking out. They're supposed to have somebody over here to fix that and I'm sure they will.

I went through my realtor, who told me about them, and she acted as the liaison. The furnishings, however, could have been a bit better. Also, they had to really push for me on some items that I was left in the loop with them. They gave me some feedback which they could have done some specific items better, but it hasn't impacted me yet. If there's gonna be anything with a new build it's gonna be remaining. So, as long as they are able to address those, I will be happy.

We were looking around for a different place to live and one day I typed in "houses for sale" and I came across the LGI website. I looked at some floor plans and I liked the layout and the way they built their houses. I knew there wouldn’t be any problems with them since they're new compared to the older homes. Charlotte was the saleslady that showed us the house. She treated me like one of her kids and she wasn’t pushy. She gave her advice and let us know, number wise, what we would pay in rent compared to what we would pay for actually buying the house. She did a really good job at that part and she made everything go really easy.

Maureen, on the other hand, was the loan accountant and she helped me out quite a bit too. She made everything go really smoothly and did a really good job in explaining everything, I wasn’t really confused about anything. They were always there to help me out whenever I had any questions and they were willing to talk to me if I needed anything. The quality of the house is excellent and I haven't had any problems. When I was at my apartment I received a flyer that listed the housing and then after we got to LGI Homes we found that it wasn’t exactly what the flyer said. But it was still around the price range we’re already paying so it was okay. Even though the home consultants have to be professional they put on the persona that they kind of care. They figured it was our first time and they kept us guided through the process.

I know the manager over there. One individual we worked with was knowledgeable and every time we called about questions or issues they always at least attempted to try to give us the answers. During the process everything was great. They were always continuously in contact especially with the lender. But the issue kind of came afterwards. When I did the walkthrough with the builder, instead of allowing us time to actually inspect the home he kind of pushed us through it.

The house is beautiful and it's growing on me a little bit more now because I kind of expected more of a single separate home rather a townhome. But after moving in this weekend we started noticing issues. The upstairs is extremely warm where the downstairs is freezing. And we found out that they didn’t install the drafts that go into the door which stops the air from coming around the door. We found out that on the first night we moved in that it wasn’t there. So that’s what kind of caused a lot of the cold air rushing to the house. And we found cracks in our bathtub where I don’t know if one of the builders may have dropped something on there. They only give one free correction and so that's the issue. I now find ways to fix things myself without trying to use this warranty claim. And there were things that basically were right there but we didn’t really have time to fully inspect it during the process.

My wife continues to complain about the toilets that they installed and then the faucets and we have an extremely lower water pressure than what we’re used to from any of our houses growing up to. So I don’t know if it was just lower quality or anything like that. But as far as the other appliances like the microwave and stove and stuff like that, they were nice. And they already took care of my handrail. That’s what they pointed out during the walkthrough, kind of that we just have to paint that. And then there were some dents or certain portions that kind of like little scratches in the roof or wall in certain sections that we kind of just already went and got the touch of paint for. But it’s all been kind of minor stuff so it’s still okay.

Then on top of that the issue that I run into was the insurance company is continuously sending me letters that they didn’t receive the payment for the insurance. And we’re kind of just little worried about that, just wondering like, “Do we need to pay this insurance or if they actually paid it within the closing?” But I spoke with the lender and they just told us that they did pay it.

They’re still building. The location is so brand-new that is not on Google Maps and also GPS doesn’t take you straight to the location so you can’t have things delivered. It was rather a challenge to try to get actual physical directions to get to the location. But as far as the other residence we have talked to some of our neighbors and they seemed to be nice people. I know they really enjoyed their home. I’m already having ideas for modifications. And nobody is used to this HOA and don’t really know how that’s going to work right now. But I believe that it’s fine so far.

The people at LGI Homes were extremely nice especially like offering the drinks and different things like that. And the ability of streamlining the buying experience is way better. We always have the good credit that was waiting. And we always run into the housings that were under contracts so that bring us the issue why we haven’t bought before now. We’re just down to hoping that everything is fine with the house and are hoping that there’s no other unexpected surprises that we run into. We recommend LGI Homes.

Our community is very nice and our neighbors are good. We are very blessed to have it. LGI Homes is a good place to work and it builds a good home.

I liked the location of the LGI homes and my son lives about half a mile from there. LGI was the first company I went to and they treated me well so I continued doing it with them. Also, I didn't like an old house because I would have to fix everything up. With a new home, everything was good. Anya was the girl who filled the paperwork and she was really friendly and she did everything that she could to get the home for us. So far, I moved a bed in the new home but I haven't moved in yet. I have to wait at where I'm at until the 14th of next month. But the LGI community seems pretty nice and everything has worked pretty well.

We were living with our daughter who lives in Katy and I was looking for a house. We were driving and we find out about the new subdivision being built and we stopped by. The whole crew in LGI were very friendly and the home consultant was wonderful. I like them. But the built could have been a little better because there’s a bunch of mistakes. The quality of workers was not very professional. I’m a contractor and I know how to pour concrete and the way they finished the concrete, from 1 to 10, is like a 5 for me. But I understand. There are different contractors. The other thing I don’t like is my wife and I noticed that they planted a dead tree. It looked like it was lying on the floor for a long time and they planted it in my house. Also, there were not many blinds, no ceiling fans, and no gutters.

I didn’t have experience in buying houses and this was my first time. After we bought the house, everybody has been telling me and I've been checking around, there are more fancy builders like KB. I was trying to get into it but I’m happy with LGI. We've recommended them to our sister-in-law and she’s buying a house soon. Also, I recommend people to get an LGI home. It's going around in Houston very fast.

LGI Homes was building in the neighborhood we were looking at. We loved the neighborhood and the spacing of the lot was really a big part of it. The sales rep was absolutely phenomenal. She was professional, answered any questions that we would ever ask and was always very courteous. When we had our kids with us, she would interact with them perfectly. We had a very good experience with her.

We purchased a newly built house and we closed beginning of January. It was just finished when we signed for it. We were going to go for the new phase but they didn’t have some of the options we wanted, the lots were a little bit smaller. So, we got one of the last ones from the previous phase. We have a five-bedroom house, two-car garage. We’re one of 12 of our floor plan in our entire community. It is absolutely amazing, and the neighborhood is great. The house is bigger than what we needed. We’re a family of four, so definitely we didn’t need it, but we’re going to use one room as an office and the other as a craft room. The community is very quiet. All of our neighbors have come over and said, “Hi,” and introduced themselves, very Southern hospitality.

The house I bought was pre-built and I like all its features. Also, the sales rep was cool. He was really nice and he helped me out. On the first day, he had to pre-qualify, so he made sure of what I was eligible for first. Then, he took me to a couple of different houses, which was a lot better than going to see a house and then getting disappointed if I didn't meet all the criteria for it. They're still doing a lot of construction from where I'm at and I haven't met a lot of my neighbors yet, but it seems to be a quiet neighborhood right now.

My dad and I were just looking along and LGI seems to be more affordable. They were able to help pay for the closing cost unlike other builders like Lena where you have to come up with your own money. Nick was really kind. He was willing to listen, very helpful, very detailed, gave us the information that we needed and he just made the sales a lot easier. I let him know exactly what I was looking for, specification and stuff that we really wanted. They have Amelia, Bokeelia, Estero and the Captiva and we went with the Bokeelia because it has the specification and stuff that we wanted. I did my research on what I wanted, so it was very easy for him to help us.

We purchased a new home in a new community and we closed about a month ago. The quality is nice. We had all the information that we needed and to successfully closing our home and we had a good experience. The only thing that we didn't like compared to Lena was that we had to put in our own blinds. I just thought it should have that already instead of having the home naked. Only one room has it - the den. It was kind of an inconvenience because if we have to move in, we had to go find blinds and the blinds are very expensive. If you spend so much money in a home, it should have come in and make the move in easy than having to put some more money to put blinds in. That should be the builder's duty. But the community is quiet and peaceful. And if we meet someone and say, “Hello”, we interact.

I like moving into a new home rather than having to move into a foreclosed home with someone already staying two or three owners. We just got it as us and it was built for us. We were the first owners so, I like that. And we're satisfied with the amenities. We have a pool, a park, a walk area, a doggie trail and they’re going to get more stuff they said. As the community continues to build, the customers’ satisfaction will continue to arise. But for right now, they have enough. Our new home will help to ease the burden instead of having to think of rent and stuff like that from an apartment, where it's all congested and your neighbor’s right next to you. You’re living at peace and comfort and quiet. It eases the burden of you coming home and having to hear noise upstairs. It's going to make my living a lot easier and happier.

Buying from these crooks was one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made. They reeled us in by being absolutely awesome during the buying process. They bent over backwards to help us get what we needed. However, things fell apart when it came to closing. Our paperwork got messed up (not LGI's fault) and our closing date got pushed back three weeks. It's good this happened because our house wasn't finished being built (like it didn't have carpet or internal doors)!! They were still doing last minute final touches while we were doing our pre-closing walkthrough! We also pointed out various issues during this walkthrough that took us months to get corrected.

They do everything they possibly can to weasel out of correcting warranty issues. Our vinyl floors kept bubbling and we were told it was normal. I submitted claims various times before someone finally came out to look at it. The flooring people stood me up twice before finally showing up. They took the floor up to find there was an AC vent that had been covered! They also told us our furnace warranty is now void because we put a smart thermostat on the wall. But they didn't tell us until the HVAC guy was writing us a bill for looking at the furnace. Really nice. Our most recent issue is dripping exhaust vents. They said it's normal for water to drip from the roof when there is snow sitting on the roof. We're still fighting with them on this one.

They also used the cheapest materials possible when building. Our drywall is already cracking, bathtub fixtures are leaking, and the porch is falling apart. We haven't even lived here a year yet. I wouldn't even give them one star if I had the option. LGI is a bunch of crooked thieves who builds crappy, cheap houses and charges through the nose for them. They need to be put out of business.

Their sales rep was very nice and helpful. If I had any questions, I could always text him, any time of the night. He's a very good guy and he answered every question I asked.

I did a walkthrough. The house was pretty much built when I looked at it. And then once I decided I wanted it, it was a fit, I put a down payment on it to hold the house and get it off the market. I lived back in Georgia and this is down in Florida. I pretty much did the purchasing process online or over the phone until I actually had to come down to do the close.

Some things could have been done better with the house. LGI built it probably in 45 days. Even so, it looks nice and it has good quality. For the price it's a good home, definitely a good starter home. It's my first house. It's nice to actually put money into an investment an asset rather than trying to make rent. Moreover, the community looks nice. It's clean and brand new. The amenities offered are perfect.

I saw an LGI Home ad on Craigslist and I contacted their sales rep, Donne, and we made an appointment that following Sunday, which was the 7th of January. She told us that it's a lot cheaper to invest and buy and showed us the numbers if we continue renting and it made more sense. You just need the $1000 down and we could just remodel the home after we were approved. She showed us the three models and we ended up getting the maple, which is the one we're in now. It was almost finished when we purchased it. Throughout the process, we just talked to her once a week and she just gave us updates on where we're at with our loan application.

The application process went really smooth. We wanted to close as fast as possible so we made sure to get the documents that week. They emailed me every couple of days needing new documentation, but it really wasn't that much. They were really fast. So far, our street's filling up. There are so much chaos and construction going on right now. It's more convenient to own the house because you can do whatever you want with it. If we want to paint or put new floors in, we can. Everything right now is still under warranty and I had a few warranty claims, and the rep responded within 10 minutes. I've been trying to talk my sister-in-law into considering LGI Home because it's more affordable. Rent is so expensive nowadays, so buying is a better option.

LGI sent me a mailer at my apartment. At first, I didn't want to live in DeLand, but now I'm happy I'm there. However, I wasn't really happy with my interaction with their rep. She wanted me to put this house down and buy the house without even looking at a model home. She was not pushy, but there was not a whole lot of information either. She didn't want to drive over there with me which was just 10 minutes away. So, I went there by myself and looked at one unit that was almost finished.

That experience wasn't up to what I think it should be. They should go over there with you, take a walk through the whole house and talk to you for a while if they want you to buy a $167,000 house. I then got a new built house and it's very nice. I love the home and I love the area. The communication could be a bit better though during the process because getting a hold of somebody was tough. I would go back and forth by myself and take a look at the house as it was getting built. Otherwise, the house was built very well.

We had a short amount of time to come out here and fix something out so we did a lot of our communicating with their sales reps over e-mail and phone. We had to get all my finances set up and the house I purchased out here was contingent on the house I sold out in Georgia so once all that got together, everything fell into place. The loan department was really nice, straightforward, and had us going. Everything went smoothly once we got our house sold in Georgia and we were in and out and closing pretty quickly.

There are a few things that I think they shorted on with the build. There’s no doorbell and there are a few Sheetrock issues. You could just tell it was built rather fast. But other than that, I think it’s a well-built home. And I like the community right now. Where we’re at on our street, there’s a lot of new buildings so it’s kind of a busy area right there but I think once all those houses get built, it will be nice. We may have to do some renovations to make it more homely, but I like it and I'm excited because we worked for so long for so many years and we always wanted to have our own house. We just came from Puerto Rico and in less than four months, we had an amazing opportunity to have a house so fast. It's been a great experience because we never had that opportunity in the island. Here, it was bliss.

Their sales representative was bilingual and could speak Spanish which helped us to communicate our questions in the whole program. He helped us purchase the house using Chenoa program, so we didn’t have to give a huge down payment, which saved us a lot of money. He was very approachable and very informed about the whole program as well. The LGI people gave us a tour the day we did the closing. They were really honest and professional. When it comes to location, it's perfect for us because we do on calls and it's pretty near to the hospital. And for the price, the house looks really good.

I was looking for something to rent. I wasn’t planning on buying a house because I had moved out of state to Washington. I saw an ad that said “Rent to own,” which got me to LGI Homes. Their reps were really good. When I was about to back out after the first house didn’t go through, I was thinking in my head that I was done with all the process. I didn’t want to pay any more money to my credit and didn't want to deal with all of that stuff. But David, my sales rep, encouraged me to go through with it, and I’m glad he did. I got into my house very recently. I was dealing with all the sales reps by the end of the term because I’ve been there so long trying to make this happen. David was the one that closed my house. Jermaine, David, and the sales manager, Zack, were all fantastic. LGI have such a great staff.

LGI got my credit score from a 540 all the way to a 696 in a month and a half of time. It wasn’t because the houses were not standing up to my standard, because the location was bad, or because I wanted to change my sales rep. It was literally because I had to get my stuff right, and LGI took their time to tell me what steps I needed to do in order to get there. At first, I got angry and then I called them back the next day and I thought I should let them know why I’m angry. They were fixing my credit for free. All I got to do is pay the payment. The steps that LGI took to build my credit were really great. And no other agents would have done that through other companies. The best experience was all my debts are paid off and in the end, I got a house out of it.

My new home is beautiful. It’s probably not my dream house, but it’s definitely my dream location because it’s secluded and quiet. I’ve only spent one week in there so far but it’s really nice. The house is done properly. Kevin, the builder, was awesome as well. He went through everything with me and let me know exactly how the house is. So the property is ideal for me. I like it a lot and my family is happy. If I would buy another house five years from now, I’d go back to LGI.

I would definitely recommend anybody who's buying a house, especially for the first time, to go with LGI. They take their time to do the steps to get the first-time home buyer in there. I was making the purchase while I was living in Colorado so I felt really sketchy about LGI at first. And then I went to the ConsumerAffairs website and I’ve seen how many reviews LGI had that were 5 stars. It was amazing and it gave me the comfort zone.

LGI Homes has a great plan for first-time buyers. The whole process took only a month and it was quick and easy. There was a lot of information but they held our hands the whole process as far as getting the loan, making sure that we could do it financially and reassuring us that it would be okay. And even after buying, they're still there for us.

But in the beginning of the whole transaction, they made me feel like I wasn’t going to come back because the sales manager wanted to put a thousand down to hold the house. I can’t just be walking around places and give a thousand dollars that day and be 100%. He was like, “The house might not be here.” Which I understood, but I wanted time to think about it and talk about it with my girlfriend before going and giving that money right then and there. It kind of made feel like he cannot take my word for it and it pushed me away at the beginning but the opportunity was great for us. I didn’t like the sales manager and we kind of stayed away from each other and there were some of the realtors.

But Derek is amazing. He was there for me the whole way and so was Pam. And then the guy from loanDepot has been well and he helped us out getting the loan. That was all good. Also, the build is good and it feels reliable. The house feels like it will last for years. And there’s a pond as one of the amenities and I like fishing. So that’s been a good plan for me. Miscommunication happens to people but overall, I’m very satisfied and we’ve recommended a family friend already and they're trying to apply. If it’s something you want and a place that you want and you can see the value in it within a long-term, get into it.

I liked the way LGI homes looked when I drove by. And we just closed last Wednesday so we're new homeowners. The sales representatives were great. I had Chris and Eddie who are nice guys. They helped me out as much as they could. We bought a custom-built home. We went in and talked to the guys and we picked the kind of home we wanted. And they told us what likely was gonna be on it. They showed us all upgrades and everything that we wanted. Then we paid the money down.

We would come by every week to see the progress of the home. They would call us every so often and tell us everything is going fine. It was an easy, straight and no-problem-at-all process. And the home we have was everything that we were looking for so we really didn’t have to make any customized things as far as we wanted in the home.

We also love the community. It's away from the city but it's not secluded. I'm totally satisfied. There's a lot of amenities in here including the refrigerator and the oven. It's everything that we wanted. We didn’t have to buy anything to come in so it's great. We are also right across the street from a park so that’s a good thing. I love my home and I can't wait to get settled in. I recommended LGI to someone and they're getting one built too.

I liked the customer service of LGI and that everything was at one location. Corey was my rep and he was outstanding and was always very thorough. He checked back and if there was anything they needed, they let me know immediately. They kept very good care of the paperwork that I gave them, disseminated it quickly and it was a seamless flow.

I've been here in my newly built home for a week now and the quality is excellent. They had different house styles that I could choose from. And if you get a VA approval, the VA is very strict so I got my money’s worth. I'm retired so this house is an investment. I'm comfortable and I'm at my point of freedom as far as retirement goes. The community is also quiet and safe. I'm in the Lovejoy area so it’s very nice, convenient and centrally located to everything.

People should go to LGI. They’re just amazing. I'm still in awe and I'm finally settling to the idea that I'm now a homeowner. I've had a home before but the military is different. This is the first civilian experience that I've done and it was very intact, quick, direct, and there was not a whole lot of hoopla. I'm not dealing with this bank and that bank. LGI has its own bank so it’s beautiful.

We really wanted to get out of where we were staying. I was referred to a lady who happened to work with LGI Homes and she did all the paperwork. We went through other people before and they just dragged their feet at the realtors and at the loan people. But that lady got me approved immediately. Our sales rep was also good, just polite. We made our purchase the beginning of January and it was a prebuilt home. The buying process included having all the paperwork, like the basic loan papers, to get the loan approved. The process took three weeks.

I spent $400,000 in this home and we've been having problems. LGI was not really responsive and we had to call them out three times already to fix a couple of things. One of the windows was cracked and it took them a couple of weeks to get out there. I was kind of angry at how they were going about it. My wife is a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old so they have things they have to do. We were told that the repair people were going to be there at a certain time but they never called nor showed up. We had to text them numerous times over the three-week period to come and fix the things that needed to be fixed.

They kept saying they would be there at a certain time but they never did. When they finally showed up, it wasn’t at the time they said they were going to be there. There are some things still wrong with the house and we are still waiting for LGI to come and fix them. Also, we went to see how the things were put together and who the people were that put them together. I got to watch them at work because I'm a construction worker myself and I take pride in what I do. I didn’t see the workers take pride in what they did. I saw them just throwing things together. They were the same people that built my house so that left me thinking about what kind of shortcut they took and how badly they threw things together at my house. We've seen a lot of things wrong with our house and there might be things that I can fix myself. But if I have to do it, that’s time and money out of my pocket.

LGI Home was out in Brookshire and I was going to head out in that direction. I ended up purchasing a home from them about a week ago and they were all very nice. But they didn’t have much power over changing something in the home before I bought it and I almost didn’t buy from them because it felt like they were not working with me and were just trying to sell a house. Their overall purchasing process was very simple, though. I walked in and talked to them in the office. Then they told me about the company, took me to see the model home, and started working on my loan immediately. The whole process took three weeks.

This is my first home and it's a very nice little house. There aren't very many people in the community yet, but I've met three of my neighbors and they're all pretty nice people. I intend to build up my house and sell it in a matter of 10 years. A lot of it is good quality, but the appliances, light fixtures, as well as tub and bath, are all really raw. It has bare-minimum stuff which is pretty much like buying a shell and you got to do with it what you want. So I would recommend LGI but it would depend on how much money you have to spend on the home.

Other than that, LGI should put grass in the backyards because there's just dirt there and no sod. Also, every now and then, the plumbers are working in other houses and they're tearing up my front yard while they're doing it. It's all fresh grass there and so far, two people have rolled over my front yard and made four-inch ditches with their tires. In the main drain, they’ve dug up three times and there's a pile of mud in front of my house. The yard is pretty much a catastrophe but there's nothing I can do, so I've just been relaxed about it.

I chose LGI Homes mainly because I couldn’t take my time and I found this fairly fast. But I stuck with them because of the customer service of Nikki, the new home specialist. When I came here to see the house for the first time, she let me take my time, even showed me another model because I was having second thoughts. Any e-mail was answered in a timely manner and she was very open to texting. Any concern I had and any report I gave to her, she forwarded it to the responsible person such as the builder or the constructor the product manage. She was just fantastic all the way, very responsive, and helpful. I just had to put a deposit down and I brought in my own HVAC inspector. They gave them the keys and let them go. And whatever the reports said needs taken care of, they took care of it.

The worst part of the process was that their preferred lenders were not the best. The first one wouldn’t return e-mails so they got me a second one. The second one, after working with me for 16 days, said they were not gonna be able to close my loan until I complete my work physical. They acted like people that they got so much business from LGI that customer service wasn't their priority and they wanted to make sure they took zero risk. They wouldn't come through for me. I'm moving across two states. I want to have the home now so I can get in, get my washer and dryer, all those things. It’s not like I’m doing a physical for the Olympic swim team. It’s just a hospital. So, I got another lender that was going to close faster based on all the information they had and was willing to take a half percent risk that I was gonna pass this physical and just become an employee. But other than that, it’s a quality home at a fair price and it's a beautiful community.

I closed on my pre-built LGI home on the 22nd of January. The loan officer went through everything and explained how it was done and what I needed to do. Their sales rep was fine as well. I wanted to include some vents in the house, a ceiling fan and some grass in the back. But he explained to me that if all of those things were included, it would increase the total cost of the building which made of a lot sense. What LGI did was put most of the necessary stuff that I would need. And if I need anything extra, it would be up to me. The sales rep also made me aware that the house is not just an expense but an investment. He educated me a lot into buying a house.

The neighborhood is impressive too. It's quiet and peaceful when I come back from work. They’ve also invested a lot of money creating a neighborhood park which is highly beneficial. I've spoken to a few neighbors and they all like it. Overall, LGI Homes gave me all the best I could get out of the price. I've been telling good things about LGI Homes but hopefully, they'd see it from my own perspective.

There were some other rules they had to do before I got the house, but I understood. So far, we’re doing good. I can recommend them to some of my friends.

We purchased a brand new home seven days ago from LGI Homes. We are the first residents, but it was already pre-built. The sales representative Anthony was awesome and he was like my friend. The process was simple and easy. We went down there to have the interview for two hours, which was just like talking to them and filling out an application, and they asked about my work experience. Then we left to look at some houses, liked the one that we saw and we went ahead and put money down on the house right then. It was about three and a half hours from when we got there and left. We were already locked in and we were good to go. We closed 30 days later with no problems at all. They explained everything and it was all pretty simple to understand.

The quality looks good. I don't see any corners or anything that they cut. I do know that our turnover house is really fast, which makes me and other people nervous as far as them breaking ground and then they installed them in three months. It seemed quick because you don't know what kind of errors there might be, but, so far, from what I've come across, what I've seen and head from other neighbors with LGI Home, they don't have anything to complain about. Living here feels great because we were in a hotel from the storm for the last four months, so this was like a big stepping stone.

We have three small kids so it was good for them as well. We noticed a big change in them too right away as far as them even wanting to get up and go to school. We have three bedrooms and two baths. It has carpet and some linoleum kind of wooden floors. It also has two car garage, a decent lot and nice plants and new appliances. It is all black and it looks good. Friends love the house. They can't believe we got a good deal like we did. I'd refer anybody there and I've done that several times already. We referred a friend of the family and she is already in a house herself too. We are all ecstatic about it.

Their sales representative was very friendly and helpful, and his follow-up was quick. They prequalified me on day one. We came back and filled out a credit app and brought all four documents about a week later. Then we closed on a prebuilt new home three weeks after that. We bought all of our previous homes from other homeowners. So, we liked the idea of buying a new home. We're in the process of making some alterations as far as paint colors, so we have not moved in yet. The community is a nice and clean subdivision.

The community is very friendly and community living was one of the main selling points. When I went in, the LGI reps were always pleasant, really helpful, and very knowledgeable about their product. I ended up getting a prebuilt new home and the buying process was a pretty much seamless thing, it wasn’t too drawn out. I sent all the paperwork that they requested and the process wasn’t really hard.

I moved into the house and although I'm used to a little bit of a different standard because I came from out of state, the quality of the house is fine based on Georgia standard. The only thing was they have garages but they don’t offer a garage opener. I've never seen that before. I had to do everything and had to have it installed. Other than that, I'm actually happier with my home now than my other home. This neighborhood is a lot more active than the other neighborhood that I was in so I enjoy it a lot better. And I would tell other people about LGI because of their staff who go above and beyond.

It was right on point, precise. He answered all the questions I had. At a point it was too much information at a time but when I let him know he kind of slowed down and toned everything down. I closed the deal on the 31st. So far, it's a quiet community and the environment is friendly. I want to believe it's safe too. It’s close to the proximity to school, amenities, and a lot of those stuff. We have a walk path straight into a school that’s right beside the community, the playground. Also, the proximity from my home now to where I work is 10 minutes. It used to be 25 minutes.

LGI Homes gave us a deal that we couldn’t find anywhere else. We also like the location of their homes. We met with their salesperson, Adam, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from him. He was very helpful and was a perfect fit for me and my wife. We don’t like to be pushed, and he wasn’t pushy. He was very informative and he cared more about doing what was right for us than what was right for him.

LGI has a model home set up in the community where they run their business. We went in and they let us look at several different models that they had built. And then after that, we looked at the different options from the different models that we looked at, the prices that they would be, and figured out what would work with our budget and which one we liked. Before we agreed to close there, we went to the local credit union to see if they could beat the rate because we'd be damned not to shop around for the best rate. The credit union was not able to match what they were offering with their in-house financing.

We bought a prebuilt new home and it was in the process of being built when we chose it. Then we closed on it when it was fixed. The build seemed adequate overall. It's exactly what I expected. They're putting these houses up so quickly so I don’t expect it to be like a custom-built home. But I am pleased with it. We're in the process of moving in and from what we've seen so far, the community seems great. It's diverse and safe.

The guy we were dealing with, Josh, was very professional and very hands on in keeping us up-to-date with everything, even for things that were out of his hands. I like to be kept up-to-date about everything that's going on. If my wife would send them an email, they would respond right away.

When they showed us the house and we chose a model, it was already 95% finished. They had to do a little touch up and the most that we had to do was paint and check the washer and dryer. The quality of the home is very satisfying. The amenities that they offer are also good. Other than travelling for my job, we enjoy everything. My wife is very hard to please, and she is happy about it. As long as my wife is happy, I am as well. The kids are very happy, too. They have more backyard space. They have a playground. They also have a pool (though it can't be used right now). But other than that, we are very satisfied. It's a nice neighborhood. This weekend somebody is throwing a block party and everybody is welcome. We already talked to people about LGI Homes. We gave them Josh's number and told them to go and talk to Josh.

Ricky said that everything was standard. Neither my husband nor I am satisfied with the build after living there for a couple of weeks. The craftsmanship is not very well. We were told it was hardwood floor in the kitchen, but it's contact paper on some plywood. It's terrible. We were also misled on the counter tops in both the bathrooms. They look like granite but they're fake. It was made to look like the granite in the kitchen. But since we agreed to the contract, we aren't going to say anything. I then called, made an appointment, and met with the sales rep two days later. Over the following week, I went back out there to look at the house and the properties again a couple of times. We finally made up our mind on what I wanted and made another appointment to sit down with them. We started the paperwork and everything went great. It took two weeks from the day we signed the papers until we closed and it was a smooth and quick process. Everything about working with LGI was easy.

We got a prebuilt home and it's great. LGI just recently took over the property. Another builder pretty much abandoned it back in 2009 when the economy went down. LGI stepped in two years ago and purchased the unfinished portion of the community and picked up the development and the sales of the home since then. The community has a playground for smaller children and they have plenty of lakes for fishing and open areas for walking. It’s 100% a home community with no apartments or multifamily. There’s no dedicated clubhouse which you typically don’t find in single-family home communities because everything you would find in a clubhouse, you already have at home. They also have the Home Owner Association which some places don't.

I looked at an LGI house for a friend but now her husband's sick and I don't think he's going to be able to move out here. The house seemed right for me and I ended up buying it. I wanted a smaller home, not a large one, and I was looking at the homes over here at Wyndham Hill where I have a D.R. Horton home. But they were putting smaller homes with no basement to cut the cost and the homes were still going to be running about the same money if I bought the LGI home which had better amenities.

When I went over to the Richmond home, they started with this basic linoleum floor that was awful and had to be upgraded so it was going to cost me more than if I went with the LGI home. Plus, with LGI, I’d be buying a better house with a 1,200 square foot basement. I also liked its floor plan much better than I did the Richmond home. I was looking for a single level ranch home that has a nice floor plan and the LGI's lot was so much nicer because their houses were not so close together. Also, if I paid 350 for a used house at Wyndham Hill or Savannah or here in Frederick, Colorado, the house would be 12 years old already. My daughter has a house in D.R. Horton for the Savannah which she bought 12 years ago and now her hot water heater is going out and her refrigerator went out.

My LGI Home came with the marble top in the kitchen and the front of my house is all brick. It's lovely. It also has a front porch and a little rail. I initially hated the fencing, though. They have an open area and they put a free real fence around the back of the house. But they got it waived so now I have a beautiful plastic fencing. It's solid and it's all around the property. The build is very good and LGI stood behind what they said. And when I walked in my LGI home, the garage was completely finished off and dry walled.

There are some quality perks in this house, too. They have a 10 acre park with a view of the lack and a charter school that's right in the development which is a good charter school. So the kids of anybody renting my house could walk to school and be safe. Then, two blocks down the street, there’s an emergency room and right almost across the street is a McDonald's. They also have Walgreens there and a King Super. I even got a 7 year warranty on the house. They keep up the area and people seem to be happy here. I think they'd be sold out of this development before they go somewhere else.

LGI has a very organized office and their reps all knew their jobs. Their sales people were great and their loan officer, Milda, was very good. She was very nice and she was really trying but LGI wanted me to have a loan on the house that I was buying from them and go through the escrow. I have 15 houses in California and they wanted me to write my every house, and bring up a lease on every one that I had, which was more work. I told Milda that I was not doing that and that my son loaned me some money so I was going to pay for the house in cash. That’s what I did and overall, I was really happy with my experience.

We like the gated community and that there's not too much pollution over there. It's still like a farm style and we got a decent lot. We absolutely feel safer there, too. But I would like to see more terminations because I wasn't expecting the build to be so rough and so simple. They charge more when they're building the stuff. Also, they showed us the picture of the house with the shower door for both showers but it's not there when we got to the house. We're still waiting for that and we don't know how long it's going be. I looked at a lot of new and inventory homes or used homes and I liked the way LGI Homes were built, as well as their price. It was pre-built and were finishing up when I bought it. I closed on it December the 26th. My interaction with the sales representative at LGI Homes was perfect and the process of buying the home was a lot easier than I thought it would be and easier than the first one I bought. Everything went so quick. They showed me and my wife the homes, we picked the one we liked, they came back and said, "If you put this much down, let's see what your payment’s going to be." We worked it out and that made it an easy decision. The whole process took about two hours.

The community has been great. There's a lot of empty houses around us but they're selling really quick. I went and looked at all the other amenities in it and they look nice. Our house puts me closer to work and I've saved about 20 minutes out of time. When I moved into the house, the guy did a couple of hours’ walkthrough and explained everything to me, and then went through the warranty process in detail. There were a few items that I turned in warranty claims on and they turned those around really fast. The guy that runs it followed up within 24 hours so I'm pleased with that process. I'll tell others to check out LGI Homes. It's worth the money.

LGI Homes was in my budget and the objective that I had with the home so I made my purchase three weeks ago. The interactions I had with the sales representative were very bad but, eventually, things worked out. Someone from the higher sales team finally helped me out and then things straightened out. I was very vocal about that with them. And as they go over the values they internally have in every model where they go, none of them was reflecting the experience I had. The sales guy was amazing so because of that, I went back to them and finally, things worked out.

The way the reps were approaching with every customer was as if they were using them as a convenience. They approached us trying to sell as fast as possible, which was okay. But I never had an experience where you're working on a product with someone, and if someone else is also interested in a home, then at least whoever came first and you have spent time with, you would ask, "Okay, are you seriously looking into this? Are you going to buy this? If not, then I have other people in line.”. But the way it was working out, and it happened with different occasions, they spent so much time with me or I spent so much of my time, leaving my work for almost the day, and at the end of the day, someone else already sold that home to someone else. And then at the end, “Okay. Why don't you buy this and that and whatnot?" And that's where it was quite challenging and frustrating. It happened to me twice.

And the way they operated, they try to have more people on every home as a backup. They wanted to make sure by hook or crook to get rid of the home quickly. They were working with one customer at the time or they may have multiple paddle and channels open and whichever hits first is all they care. That's how it happened in my experience. And then something else opened up. Something fell through from other customers and then landed in my bucket so that's how I got the home. At that point, my head was controlling it to make sure they don't do all over the place and try to sell it to whomever. I never felt this with any other builder. If you go to Best Buy to buy something, and you're working on with someone for that one item, they would ask you even if they want to go with someone else, “Well, if you're not interested I have someone else who is interested. Can you make a decision?”

So, you know what's coming through. But here, it's like an end, “You know what? We already sold it. Why don't you look at something else." So, that's very annoying. I ended up purchasing a home because of their head who was also apparently surprised. I was very pissed with them after spending the whole day and at the end, it was not done. So, I reached out to him and told him the whole situation. He asked me, “Did we not tell you that if you don't buy, we'll sell it to someone else?" And I was like, “No, none of that happened. That's why I'm so pissed." The quality of the build of the home wasn’t so great. My purpose was for investment and I wanted to stay in a certain price range. And so, this is one thing now and that if you sell homes, you already end up being in a multiple offer situation. And the reason I went ahead with the new build after trying to get a recent home apparently doesn't work out.

That one sales head was quite a friend, honest, and transparent. He tried to really make sure it worked and tried to think the customer is a customer and not really a convenience or like whoever is back up or whatever we play out with them. So, the experience afterward was good. But if I have to buy another one and I'm going to LGI, I would still be a little skeptical as to why am I going to get it or how it's going to play out. I still have that fear inside that people are telling me what is the current state or what's going to happen. I'm not sure if I'd be very comfortable even in the next process if I do it with them. Overall, I’m satisfied with LGI. Given that I wouldn't have bought it and my experience of buying that afterward wasn't really too bad. That whole thing to get to that point was so painful and full of surprises.

When I made the purchase a month ago, the home was being built and basically, I took over on the foundation. I got updated pictures of the sheetrock and I also passed by every so often. They started with the slab and the framing then they put the landscaping and finally it was a complete home. The construction manager got to the point and told me what I needed to know but he went off the grid right after that. I wish I could have had a little bit more interaction with him but he had a lot of projects going on. Besides, he did his job and I didn't expect him to be touching base like everybody else would. The LGI sales reps were on point though. They got me up to date with every change or with anything that was needed as far as the loan was going and with the bills of the house.

I didn’t want to live in the city anymore and I liked the location of LGI Homes. It was kind of out-country, but not too far in the country since I drive to my work. My commute home used to take an hour and a half. Now, I have it clocked at 19 minutes from driveway to driveway. The funny thing is there's only about a two-mile difference. I used to live in South Austin and driving through Austin downtown traffic was bad. Now, as soon as I get off work, I shoot straight up and there’s no traffic.

LGI Homes is a really good bargain but you can’t expect a high-quality type of home. It’s perfect for a starting home, which is what it is for me, and I'd recommend it. I'm happy with the quality of the build. It was what I expected from the manufacturer and the price. But people are moving in and this little cul de sac is a tight spot so their trucks and trailers were running over and folding up the grass in the facing yard that’s connected to my property. LGI told us that they were going to have people out there to fix that but it has been about two weeks and it’s the same way. It's not on the actual property of the home so I’m not worried about it and I can’t get in trouble for it but still, it looks bad leaving it like that.

Last year, we decided to purchase a home instead of renewing our lease because aside from the roaches and shared water expenses, rent kept on rising. When we went in to LGI Homes, the sales rep let us see three different models and answered any questions that we had perfectly. The house that we got was a pre-built home that was on the market for sale. I feel comfortable with the build and the community we live in is good and really peaceful. There's more open space and it's quiet. We can also monitor our own water and light. However, we're surrounded by canals but there was only one path for the exit and the only amenity available now is the playground and that's where the mailbox is.

We saw the home at LGI Homes a couple of times and we really enjoyed it. Aside from the quality of the home, LGI Homes also had a unique layout that I couldn’t find in other builders. It was their constant feedback and the open communication back and forth throughout the entire process that really stuck out to me and cemented our decision to buy a house through LGI. We worked with Arianne and it was a little challenging for my wife and I because we were doing all the transactions remotely since we don’t live in Colorado. But the process was very seamless. Arianne kept us in the loop as everything was going on as far as the construction of the home and then also the finance portion of it. Then she was able to answer any questions we had fairly quickly.

I closed on the 29th of December and although we didn’t have any major repairs done there were very small things here and there with the inspection. Overall though, we’re very happy with the quality of the build of the house. I also didn’t expect it to come loaded with so many things so we were very shocked and very pleased with the amenities that came with the house. The location is ideal for us too. It’s not too far if we need to run to get some groceries but it’s also isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city so it’s very quiet and a great place to raise a family.

I bought a pre-built home from LGI since they offered the best competitive price as far as no money down and had better customer service. Archie was the primary person I met with and was the one who closed and did everything. He was nice, very informative and answered all my questions. He did a good job of portraying what LGI was all about. We also met with a member of an onboard mortgage that LGI goes through. He was in the office whenever we went through the financial aspect. He was super helpful and nice. Then, I met with another person from the building team and he helped me out with the final walk through and the final details to be repaired. Overall, the build quality of the house is really good and even though the community is still developing and there's not a lot of people around me yet, but the people I've interacted with have been nice. I'd tell my friends to go to LGI Homes and talk with somebody.

Just a few weeks ago we purchased a pre-built from LGI Homes. Our sales rep was really nice and kept with us even though I decided to not buy the house. She kept on pulling us to do it so we eventually got the house. There was a lot of paperwork and a lot of signing. Moreover there were some iffy things about it but we got over it. We like the new house now. Sometimes paint would chip off a bit but the quality of the home is good and our neighbors are nice. The fridge is small but other than that we like the amenities. In addition I like that I can plant fruit trees. It’s closer to work since we used to live in Sarasota. It was far from Riverview to Sarasota so it lessened the gas money.

LGI Homes is building in a nice area and I like the location. I went to take a look at it and the house was good. The design with the location is perfect. The process started November 17 when I went to check. The beginning application process and all that was very good. And then, I closed on December 27th and the house wasn’t complete yet. They gave me dates and said it will be ready by this date and that date. They were on time and they were very good. The sales rep I dealt with was Ana Maria and she was awesome! She was a very personable person and very professional. She knows her stuff also so she knows what she's selling. She explained everything well and was very good about everything. LGI built the home from scratch and it was still under construction when we went there.

LGI was selling their homes as is so I wasn't able to say, "Hey, I'm looking for this upgrade or that upgrade or so." But, I know that they are built for energy efficiency and they put up an irrigation system properly. They did the walls secured with pest control system set up inside. They also gave me more space because they put the AC unit in the ceiling rather than on the floor so I get more ground space than the garage. The cupboards are nice so everything was standard as they gave it and as they said it was except the refrigerator and the stove. But then again, that's what they offered. I wouldn't mind if I had to pay the difference included or something for a refrigerator that dispenses water or two-sided or with an ice maker. It doesn't have any of those. What I like with the stove is the flat surface because it’s easy to clean and long-lasting. And for us, it’s better.

I just moved into the house and waiting for certain things to be fixed. They forgot to put up the AC vent in the master bedroom and we're waiting for that. We're not able to do laundry because the water, when they fixed the plumbing part of it, is fixed and we noticed a little leak there. We noticed water by that area nearby the laundry room. The person who walked through with me, Jimmy, noted it on the walk-through list but it's still not fixed. So, when we moved in this past Saturday and we made a connection, I wasn't there when someone turned the water on. I turned the water on and had to shut it off back real quick. Water was flooding out so I'm still waiting for that to be fixed.

I showed the walk list to Ana Maria to answer to make some contact for us. We gave it to her on Sunday and we're still waiting. We also don't have hot water in the master bedroom faucet and that was also noted. Nonetheless, the salespeople there were very nice and very good. They worked fine. So far, the quality of the build is very good and everything is fine. It's my first time buying from LGI Homes and I can't say anything bad. It's a nice community and nice location.

I decided to visit the LGI property as I've heard about them from a co-worker, as well as saw one of their signs when we were driving through the neighborhood.

The interactions went really well. I talked to Donna and we were able to walk away with the house on our first visit. It was a pre-built home and the quality of the build is very good. It's everything I could have wanted. The community is very good, too. There's not a lot of homes around. Maybe it's my block and another block that's complete, but the community is definitely shaping up to be a good place.

I was a little concerned about the bank, though, because I got a letter about the house insurance, which I believe is all bundled up. However, I got a bill from them asking for payment. Then I also got a late notice about a week later, and basically, it's like it hasn't been paid yet. But I called Donna, my salesperson, and she's supposed to be looking into it. Other than that, it's a great experience all in all and I look forward to being here for quite some time.

We were not expecting to purchase new construction but were just looking for affordability, and as far as the housing market around here and the size of the house that we purchased, the monthly payments were going to be more than what we pay here. We made a purchase at LGI Homes about three weeks ago. The sales rep at LGI was great. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and able to answer any question we had. If he was unable to answer it, he got us the answer as soon as possible. The loan officer that helped us out with the loan was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable on what we needed to do to get all the paperwork taken care of. We didn’t really have any issue that popped up but any little small detail that needed to be ironed out really fast, he was on top of it immediately and we were able to email paperwork back and forth and have whatever little mini issues that needed to be resolved.

The paperwork that they needed was instant, a same day type of thing. It worked very well and we were completely pleased with the whole process. It didn’t take an extraordinary amount of time. By the time that we agreed to purchase the house to closing, it was about three weeks so it didn’t take very much time. We were also able to move in immediately so that was even better. We came and looked at the home itself, which was still under construction. We were just looking for a home that was large enough to fit our family and the purpose of what we need it for. We also went to a finished model to be able to actually visualize what out home was going to look like after it was done. I really like the quality of the build.

It’s built strong and the windows and the doors are hurricane-rated. It’s built to the code that they have to be built through here for hurricanes so I’m pleased with that. It doesn’t guarantee anything, but it makes me feel a little better knowing that it’s at least rated up to what they say it needs to be. It gives you a little peace of mind to know that you got some of that there to keep you and your family safe. The community is really nice, too. I’m sure it’ll be a lot nicer once all the construction equipment gets out of here but that’s not a big deal to us. We understand that it’s a new construction community so you’ll have that. Even the construction workers are friendly, and they don't try to block the roads and get in the way. They try to get their job done and let you get back and forth the way you need to be.

As far as the actual developed portion of the community, everything is neat and orderly. It’s our own home so we’re not living with or staying with family anymore. That’s great and it improves morale for the most part. We’re back to our own routine and we don’t have to worry about getting into stuff that’s not ours. You don’t want an upset family while you're staying with them. You try to keep the peace as much as possible.

Having our own home allows us to get back on our own schedule and our freedom for our children to be able to run about and do what they’re used to in our home versus someone else’s home. We are thoroughly happy that we are in our own home and able get back to our own routine and do our own thing. I would definitely recommend LGI Homes, and I would recommend them to the sales team that we went through, from the manager all the way down. They have been very helpful through the whole process, and continue to help now.

We're originally from New York but my friend had been haunting me for the last two years, saying it's different here and that there's money. We had done our homework at Realtor.com and when we came down the first time, we were looking at some houses. But the taxes are high and I wasn't not too sure if it was savvy for my wife. My friend said that he was there by himself. He invited us to look at a few houses off the beat and we saw Kaypee's. We were looking for a corner lot and we decided to jump on it. The only bad thing is we did the wire remotely.

It was disgusting when we got here. I've had 12 houses so far and I've never had an experience this way. This is my first new one and with all the old ones, you have to do the ripping up and the cleaning. You know what you're getting into. This was a new build and the way John explained it to me was when we move in, they would only touch up paint here and there. But the walls are cracking and the tiles are being redone. There is paint overspray. Because we didn't owe any money in our house in Georgia, they can finish the house properly.

Right now, they're ripping up the whole floor at my house because they are so terrible. It is $500 for three days and I know they are going to pay me back but that's abuse and I didn't want to do that to them. The guys told me they already had a day and a half. They also told me they're putting up these houses in 54 days so I know they're doing something that's not proper. LGI is just desperate for the money. I'm a prisoner transport officer and I've got more respect from the prisoners and inmates than these guys at LGI. Even though John tries to iron stuff out, it just really sucks.

It's a brand new house that's almost $200,000. Plus we put $26,000 down. We didn't do zero money down. I want what was sold to me. They told me this and this but I haven't gotten one percent of it yet. Then when you mention a lawyer, they start freaking out. I'm trying to see how they're going to accomplish it. But so far, there is dust all over the place and swarms. The sense of communication is out the door too. The loan depot said there was a manager who was supposed to call me but they still haven't called me and it's been over a week. From the loan depot to LGI, it was worse. The only reason why I was close to Austin was my friend. Once he comes back, I'm supposed to start working and making some good money.

Where I was at at Paulding County, Georgia, I've seen LGI Homes there too and when we came in, my wife and I thought living in the country was going to be a good deal, but it is actually harsher. It is more or less Florida and New York combined. We don't have an ocean next to it but the Walmart is one mile away so I was happy about that. I'm very happy about the surrounding area too. There's the food and the people were nice.

We'll take care of it". To date the hole still exist rendering the backyard unusable. The back fence was built next to the porch slab to avoid the drop off. As it stands part of my lot in on the other side of the fence. The house's interior has settling cracks in the sheetrock walls. They say it will be repaired when the settling stops. I'm still waiting. The house is now approx. six months old.

It was a very scary circumstance for us, even though we're excited, but the new home consultants from LGI Homes took the time to help me understand the home buying process. At the same time, they held my hand to the whole process. Anytime I got nervous or anytime I had questions or even doubts, they kept me right on track and they did everything that you would expect a family to do in their shoes. As a first time home buyer, that's exactly what I needed. The experience was absolutely amazing.

LGI Homes has their classic series, but we opted to go with their luxury series which had the lock upgrades already in it. There were great options already in the house and was definitely smooth and ready for us. It was almost done when we came in last November, and we closed at the end of December. My friends who have been here and have been helping me move in were saying really great things about the house. The community's really nice. We happen to be one of the first few people who moved in on our particular street of the neighborhood, so we don't have too many neighbors yet, but the ones that we've had an opportunity to meet have been very polite and happy. We're still in the process of getting the house how we want it, but we're excited about that. We're happy and we're looking to expand our family in this home.

All the information was provided upfront and LGI built the house. The quality of the build and the new LGI community are good, and living in our new home has been wonderful. However, there are still some punch list items that need to be resolved, but it’s the holidays so I plan on following up with them in a week or two and see when they plan on getting that taken care of. LGI was the only builder offering a $1,000 down program and their houses were priced normally. They did a credit check at the start and once we were done with that, we did the contract. We then came back the next Monday and did the full application with the mortgage company at their office and brought documents for that. The rep that we worked with then set up an appointment for us to come and take a look at the houses. We spent the afternoon with her looking at all the different spec homes they have that we could pick from. She didn't put any pressure on us, which I liked. She just took a price sheet to each house and showed us how much it was going to come out to monthly, which was a big deal for us to budget the monthly total so we would know what we were getting into.

We appreciated LGI's transparency. They made sure that we understood not just the payment but also the taxes and insurance. We were then able to look at the house and have an idea of how much each was going to cost us every month while we looked at them. They also went out of their way to make sure that things went through for me because the lender pulled the dirty on me at the last deal. The sales guy went and negotiated with everybody and got it done. The construction superintendent who took us on our walk through was also really good. He really cares about his job and he’s really trying to make sure that things are right. The interior of the house looks low budget, but it has good systems on it, like a really good AC, different features, and its actual construction is really good. Everything that is important to somebody who has a family and trying to be smart and have a comfortable home is there.

It's night and day coming from an apartment. We now have three extra bedrooms so we'll be able to put all the kids in their own space. You get your own space to breathe and you can park in your own driveway. We have room for the kids now. It's also nice we're going to have a kitchen that we can both stand in because our kitchen is so small in our apartment. Another perk is that you get a safe and nice neighborhood. We've also met a couple of the neighbors and they were nice. It feels like a place where you can have a family. It's a nice change.

LGI Homes ran the paperwork and told us that we might be approved. With my credit being the way that it was, I knew that I would not be approved through another company, so I sat down and talked with them and they were able to work with me and made things happen. We sat down with their loan officers and we ended up having to go through multiple lenders. By the third one, we were able to sit down and do paperwork. The interactions with their sales reps have been very good and they took care of most of the problems. The whole process took two months. If LGI Homes was able to make my situation work knowing that I had a foreclosure, my credit was shot, they could probably work with just about anybody.

The prebuilt new home was built very well and I like it. My wife likes it too, and that's what's most important. We also like its community and location, which is convenient. I work a mile and a half from the location. Everything that I've seen so far has been above par. There are some areas around there that have parks and it has a lot of nice young couples with children. So it'll be a nice community that we want.

We wanted to give LGI Homes a try. My co-workers are there and have other houses through LGI. We put in the application in November and closed recently. Their reps were very good and always checking in. So we knew step-by-step what's going on. They have the best personnel ever. When we went in, they showed us two different houses and we picked one of them. I expected the process to take a month like they told us, but it finished quicker than expected. The quality of the build is good. It's not our dream home, but it's our starter. It's a new neighborhood and the amenities are good. I'd recommend LGI to people.

I was searching for homes and I came across this house and the LGI Homes neighborhood, so I reached out to them. They fit everything that I was looking for and their representatives were very good to me. They were very responsive and they helped in every way that they could. I started looking in December and we closed on Friday the 29th. The quality of the house is good but I've run into some problems with it. They are not terrible problems, but they are things that need to be worked on and fixed. Half of my electrical outlets were not working when I moved in. They got some wiring problems. My stepdad is a former electrician, so I got him to come here and look at everything. The problem is fixed now, but it took about two hours to get it resolved.

I have a window that’s cracked but it wasn’t like that when I did my walk-through. I've reached out to the builder and they're going to swap it out for me, which is not a problem. It's not going to cost me anything. Also, my front door is off-centered, crooked and there's cold air coming in. My toilets rock back and forth and they don’t sit like they're supposed to. It's like they didn’t put washers underneath them, so when I sit on them, they rock. That’s annoying. Plus, some of the paints in the house needed to be touched, and they didn’t touch it up before I moved in. And, there's a hole in my wall that they’ve got to come out and fix. I purchased a new home and I didn’t want to move in with problems. The community seems to be quiet, so far, though. We've only been living here since Saturday and houses are still being built around me, but the community looks really nice. My house-buying experience has been very great. The LGI people were very good.

We had looked at various different builders before but I have never seen or heard of LGI until one of my daughters decided to come out here and look. We had combined our households here a few years ago and then we decided that it's time we separate, that is to stay together but apart. We like the location of LGI Homes and they made an offer we couldn't refuse. The sales reps were very knowledgeable on what they explained about the home and how it was built. The builder that we spoke with, the people, and the lady that helped us out, all seemed to know what they were talking about. There's a lot of papers to sign but the process of buying the home was very fast. We closed on the 26th and we're out finishing moving in.

My daughter bought a bigger house from LGI Homes right behind us and the house we bought is a bit small but well laid out. The houses and the lawns are good sized. The area also has a really nice park towards the entrance. They have playground for the kids and pavilions for family get-togethers. They also have a nice walking area, which is important to us. I would definitely recommend LGI Homes to a friend.

I saw the area and we liked the home from LGI Homes. The sales rep was able to answer our questions pretty good but there was a delay in them getting back to me. They could have been more prompt about certain things. I would call certain numbers that they said would be reachable, but it was hard. They would rather do everything over emails and it made it difficult because there were some things that I needed to talk to somebody. It's easier to talk than do everything over email. I would just send them whatever they ask for. I never got a call if the process was approved.

We bought a spec home last week. The quality is good but there are a few pieces in the home where LGI might have been able to do better. They built the home sooner and then they barely sold it to us. Some of the walls had defects on them and the paint was chipped on some parts. When we met with the construction manager, they went through everything really quickly, so it was hard to ask them questions and understand what was going on. Then when we started moving few things over, there were black widows and we thought we shouldn’t have bought the home until they were ready. But I really felt like this new home community we're going to live in is good so far. We still have to call the HOA to make sure we know what's allowed and what isn't allowed. LGI Homes has a very small park when you enter but they’re still working on more things.

We purchased our home from LGI Homes on the 29th and they built our home from the ground up. LGI has good customer service. The sales rep was very good and was a very nice guy and a gentleman. Everybody in the office was very nice, even the guy who built the home. Everybody was very generous and they listened to our concerns so everything was good. I went through a lot of paperwork, like my bank statements and what I have in my account. It took us three to five months from when we were on it just to try to get all the paperwork together. We like the quality of the build. We have a stainless-steel refrigerator, microwave, stove, washer, and some nice cabinets. We had to pay for a couple more blinds that we have to get done to the house. As nobody is not using anything, everything looks fine.

But there are a lot where it has all to get back to the guy who built it and there are a lot of things that need to be done after we moved in. The bathroom floor has been coming out but we haven't heard from them yet. LGI has been giving us a call and we're waiting for them to come back out. We also have some issues with the tiles and the showerhead. The guy who built the home was very responsive. He has left LGI several messages. We have no choice but to take a shower, take a bath, and use those irons but as we continue to use them, I don't know if they're going to get worse or it's going to stay the same, and we need them to come out here as soon as possible. We told him about the situation and he relayed the message to the company, who is supposed to be doing the floors, the cabinet, and the bathroom. All the issues that we are having are dealing with the same people, who are supposed to come and do the showers and the floors.

When we moved in, the refrigerator had a dent in it and some of the cabinet shelves were not completed. But as far as the home itself, it's nice and the neighborhood is quiet. We're up here in Glenn Heights. There are not a lot of things around but we like it. There's not a lot of people that's out because of the cold weather but we have a lot of land that they're still going to build. We just moved all our stuff in yesterday.

My sales personnel John was the best person that I've ever had. He really knew how to talk and treat people. The purchase took about a month and took two weeks to get us moved in. I love our home! It has three bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage. It's beautiful and I have never had anything this nice. We also have good neighborhood. I got a state trooper living across the street from me and a county cop that moved in next door. But I heard the homeowner association can be tough but I haven't dealt with them yet.

The new home has changed our life. Where I came from, the crime rate was overtaking Jacksonville, Florida. The landlord was doing nothing to the house and when the hurricane came through, the roof was already leaking and part of the roof was taken out. We lost power and all our groceries. That's when we decided to move out. And overall, LGI Homes was great.

However, I would recommend them to use a paint that is the next level up and has a bit of an eggshell or satin because the entire house was done in matte except for the wet areas. It's scuffed so easily that we're going to have to repaint everything, which is a hassle. Other than that, everything was great. I like the community, its people, the entryway that was built and the way the sign was done. The neighborhood is nice and I like it, and the houses are nice too. The only thing is that the quality inspector is not doing his job. That's the only thing wrong about LGI Homes. The houses from LGI Homes were nice and they offered the best way to buy the house. I first saw them at Davenport and I liked the houses but not the area. Then we came out to Dundee and the salesperson showed us around the houses. I explored the area and the rep told us that most of the establishments that you have in a big city like the Home Depot, Walmart and schools are within a comfortable distance. It's a nice place so we took the house that was being showed. I'm a verteran and the entire process was so simple.

I also spoke with the neighbors right before I got the house, and I got great neighbors. Next door to me were two veterans and then outside there is a mechanic. So it is a nice neighborhood. LGI was thorough around the house but we found some things that still needed repair like the door, bathroom and under the sink that was leaking. But as far as the administrative part, they were great. I have recommended some other people that I know to come down and see the house.

We had a realtor and we were looking at new homes from the area that were recently built. LGI was one of the options and we looked at four different models with their salesman, Mark. With him, we didn’t feel as much of a pressure to buy as with some salespeople. We also liked the quality of the home they offered at the price given. We knew that we were going to get an LGI home but we didn’t know which one. My partner and I said we were going to go to lunch, we would call him, and let him know what we thought. Then, he did the whole, “Oh, you know this house could be gone in an hour. I’m showing these things all day.” But he was pretty good. He gave us a price for each one and we kept going until we found the one we wanted. T

Then, we worked with their financing people and we began the process of getting a loan which only took three weeks. We already had a lot of paperwork because we already had a loan pre-qualified through another bank. But switching to LGI's financing people saved us the closing cost so we went that route. We had everything ready so it went really fast. Also, Mark was nice throughout the loan process. He called us and kept us updated even after Thanksgiving.

The home was pre-built and the community is okay. But it's not as good as it appears at first. As soon as 5:00 o’clock comes around, we get 500 cars parked in the road and we could barely get to our own house. Some of the people are also speeding through there while some have mattresses on the side of their house and make a mess. Not everybody keeps up their stuff that well, they got garbage cans all over the place and it looks kind of crappy.

LGI Homes is within a community with a swimming pool and they have a tennis court. But after I got the house, I was very displeased with it and it was not quality at all. If I had the time and I’ve looked at things more before I moved forward with the purchase, I would have never bought it. I have a mile-long list of things that were not done right in the house. First, my garage door cannot be locked and I had to have somebody mess with one latch. And when I tried to do it last night, I had to stand on the door and it didn’t even go down enough for me to lock it. Second, the quality of work was poor from spattering on the woodwork to crap woodwork and paint on the concrete. Third, the house had the cheapest cabinetry I’ve seen. It came to a point where I was afraid and very careful with opening and closing the cupboard doors because I wanted them to last. Fourth, the roofline above where I go in at my front door was bowed.

Fifth, my bedroom and bathroom doors were scratched up bad but I assumed it was when the workers were moving stuff in the house. They spray painted the door too and it was awful. I wanted one door replaced. Sixth, I am 100% sure somebody washed their equipment in my bathtub because the bathtub was clogged up. My boyfriend had to take a plunger and work at it a lot of times to get the water to go down. Lastly, the concrete work was crappy from the driveway to the sidewalk.

Also, the closing process was another mess and a half. The sales reps were very, very pushy with closing the deal immediately. They wanted it to be done on a date where it couldn’t work in my schedule. Then, there was no person at the bank and not even an LGI Homes representative was there. All I had was the notary in the bank. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life and I would never ever recommend LGI Homes. I hope and pray that when I sell the house, I’m going to get my money out of it.

We loved the homes at LGI, especially in the Pecan Ridge area. I feel like it's the bang for our buck, especially with the quality of the home you're getting for the amount of money you're spending. Their salesperson was amazing. She had a lot to do with us choosing LGI Homes. But she has moved on. Ed and Justin took over and they have done a wonderful job too. We don't have an issue at all with the local staff, and even before, I thought LGI has really nice homes. Unfortunately, I don't feel 100% that way now.

We moved to our brand spanking new home last November 21st and we're having a lot of issues since closing. We have already sent a big email out today to our local sales manager. What happened was one of our tubs was stained with red mud. And the reason we know it's red mud is because we switched lots from one lot to this lot. This house was being closed on by somebody else. They backed out, so they offered it to us. So, we were already watching other houses LGI built. And in four different homes being built, these brand-new tubs are slightly full of red muddy water. I don't know how it's getting in there, but it's staining these tubs. The construction managers answer to that is to have these brand spanking new tubs in these homes resurfaced. That's not acceptable to me because I bought a brand-new $300,000 home. I want a brand-new tub that's not resurfaced.

Also, our refrigerator door has a dent and that hasn't been addressed yet. Someone from LGI said he was going to order a new door. But we haven't been told when it's coming in and if it's been called for. Nothing. The only thing that's been done is the touch-up on the wall paint and that was notated on the moving walk-through. So far, we have given LGI 30 days to have it resolved. Our intention as new homeowners is to be settled in as quick as possible and resume our lives, not have vendors coming in and out of my home with my wife by herself. I have no clue who these John Browns are that's coming in my house while I work.

But some things need to be fixed like the cabinets and some paint on the window needs to be removed. You can also feel some sharp nails under the joint area between the carpet and the hardwood floor. The builder will come to my home later to fix something. But one month before I closed, I had gone to the house to do an inspection and if they could have made everything perfect before I moved in, that would have been better.

We went ahead and started looking for a house since we were going to do it next year anyway. Things happened and it sped up our search a little bit more. The lady that was helping me look for houses went by and saw LGI Homes' "No Down Payment Needed." I was going to another house I found through the internet when she called and told me to come that way. There were some houses there that are new and with zero down for first-time buyers.

I went ahead and checked it out. However, I still had to pay down payment. I threw all my furniture away and I had to buy new stuff. The money that I was going to use for the furniture is the money that I had to put down for the downpayment. When I was buying the house, I talked to Mark because he's the one that got me into it. I don't like the wood of the fence. The door at the back is starting to crack and break little by little. I told Mark that we've been at the house for less than two weeks and the door for the fences are already coming apart. He told me to go to Home Depot and buy some plywood and some nails and do it myself. This is not coming from a professional.

I completely ignored him and didn't respond back. I called the guy and he gave me a number, but all I get is a "Beep," when I call the number. Since nobody answered, I decided to let the fence fall and when the thing comes apart, I'm going to call them and bring them over here so they can see how the fences are starting to get. They fixed the two breaker switches for the microwave and my washer and so far, it's working well. However, they haven't fixed the water pressure in the washroom yet. They were supposed to come in the first week of the Thursday that I was there, but they never came. My wife went to the office. They told her that they'll go to the house and look at it. She has gone there twice and until this day, they still haven't come.

I inquired with LGI Homes after seeing an ad for something that seems to fit my budget. The people there were very pleasant and willing to help me see if I qualify. And so, I got a brand new home. It was a pre-existing one and was sitting there for about a year. We’ve only had it for several days and the overall quality is good. There were just some very minor things that my home inspector found to be substandard. They found a kink in the docking system, some small cracks that shouldn't be in the drywall. But I haven't been able to tell whether or not LGI took care of it.

Also, one of the plugs wasn't working properly and another, that’s yet to be replaced, had a cosmetic issue. The first one has been replaced but I haven't had a chance to plug anything up throughout this year. And then, there are a couple of windows that weren't working properly. One of them should stay up when pulled up but it doesn't stay up. Lastly, at the gate, we have some nails that haven't been attached and one of the panels that serve the siding has a bulge in it and needs to be replaced. I've made the second inquiry on those things that haven't been taken care of and I haven't gotten any feedback. But LGI did fix the fence and replaced and painted a couple of panels along the bottom of the house that have been damaged.

Horton, we were under a big shark-like credit program and they just dropped while we were on it without letting us know so I went with LGI instead. Iryana, the person we worked with was a great help and was with us the whole way through. She told us what we needed to do and what we needed to fix. She's still calling us at least every two weeks to every month making sure that everything is okay. We have been in the home for two weeks now and I love it. We'd been renting for 20 years now and it's nice to come to our own. We are happy with the pre-built home that we got. LGI Homes was great and they stayed with us all the way through.

Seven years ago when things happened with the economy, it also happened with my business so I began to rent a home. I raised my grandchildren and I’ve been paying for colleges for the past six years and I couldn’t afford to get back into a home. I needed to desperately get back into one so when I saw LGI Homes' signs saying there was no money down, I called and asked questions about it. I got a lot of good answers before I came. I worked on exactly what the gentleman said I needed to do on my credit and had it taken care of before I went to them.

I was prepared to purchase a home but didn’t know if I was going to like LGI's home. My husband and I stopped at LGI's office and looked at five different models. We chose one and purchased the house. 29 days later, we were in it. The experience with LGI Homes was perfect. Everybody was fast to do things if I needed something. I’ve done this process many times so I provided all the information that they asked me for, even some that they didn’t ask but I knew they were going to need.

I was very happy with the salesman. I asked him if he knew anything about the mortgage process and he said yes. When I asked him questions, he gave me the answers immediately and didn’t have to hesitate in one way or another. However, when I got to the loan process, whenever I asked the processor some questions, she would say, "Well, I'm not sure. Let me see if I can find it." But then she never got back with me. I looked them up online myself and found out my own answers, which was a little bit irritating. LGI was so efficient in their part I thought they wouldn’t be working with somebody who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

I love the community. It started seven years ago and when everything fell apart, they did too and they couldn’t sell anything in here. I didn’t come back for a long time because I thought these people lost so much money, but I kept seeing the community growing and I thought they must be doing something right because it was just filling up. The resorts that they made here in Green Cove Springs, Florida was the best they could have made. It was one of the better communities that I looked in years ago when it was first establishing. I was excited to be back knowing that I could go into the community and afford the house.

I love the home. I wish they did a bit more finessing on the outside, but the inside is wonderful. It’s a perfect layout for family that one could have an in-law in one end and then the children at the other side. The kitchen is beautiful and I love it. I love the den porches, which cover the end of the back porch. Lots of space to get on the back porch. I’ve told some people about LGI Homes.

LGI Homes had zero down and we purchased a prebuilt house. We did no customization and it was a month away from being built when we got involved. We decided it’s the one we wanted and so we went through. It was a smooth process. From the first time we walked in, the sales rep showed us the house, our options and the programs that were available to us. There were some issues we pointed out and we’re still waiting on things to be completed. The trim on top of the house is completely missing and it needs to be fixed. There is also an issue with the sink but everything else has been addressed.

There is a big gap from the wall where the granite countertop meets. Somebody messed up on the wall or somebody cut the granite too short. Something happened because there’s an inch of caulking between the wall and the granite. We let the LGI Homes representative know in the final walkthrough but he said he doesn’t know why they did that and he’ll have to contact them. LGI Homes has a good home community and all the neighbors are real nice. There are two playgrounds and my children have played on them and that’s a great thing that I like. There is also a pool and I’m sure we’ll enjoy that as well. We really enjoy being homeowners and it’s a lot better than renting.

I come from the country where I had more parking. We got two 2500 trucks and three-quarter tons. They’re too big to park in the garage so we park them out in the driveway and it’s hard to walk between the two. But I knew that going in so that was no surprise to me. I’ll recommend LGI Homes. I’m in the building business and I stick by the people I can trust a little bit and he wasn’t somebody that you couldn’t believe anything he said. He was a good guy. In fact, all the reps have been wonderful. I closed on my house last Tuesday. It was brand new and already built. The quality of the build was good, so far. However, only one window pane has blinds. They all should come with blinds. I also gave them a hard time for not having any Christmas wreaths up. They should at least put one up by the entrance. We have to pay dues every year and that should be part of their dues. Otherwise, they have all been wonderful.

I also had a pleasant experience with LGI Homes' reps. It was simple and it’s not like some sales reps who pressure people into buying.

Also the quality of the build is good and so far the community is good as well. We have our neighbors on the right and on the left. The only thing I didn't like is that they put the blinds only for the windows that are facing the street. The rest of the house that has windows doesn’t have blinds which meant we have to find the exact match on the market or we go with the person they are recommending whose price is high compared to everything else that we put in the house. I brought it up to them when they said that is the way they are doing it. We are kind of pushed to do business with somebody or to buy the same thing or we’re going to take those down and then we buy something else instead of that part that we didn’t like. But other than that I will still recommend LGI Homes. They are a good company and the price they offered is between the high-end and the low-end in the market for new homes.

Price was my number one choice, so I shopped around. The LGI community has potential. Walmart is there and the community is booming. I decided to purchase a three-bedroom house for rental. The four-bedroom has a shower and tub combination for the master bath and I don't like. Steve, the sales rep, was nice, but I kept changing my mind before my closing. When the three-bedroom was complete, I was disappointed. It's not what I ordered three months ago. The front porch is wood and it looks so cheap. It's not all bricks and they gave me the small window and it's not pretty like the one I ordered. When I saw the three-bedroom the first time, I saw a lot of bricks outside and outside the window is prettier and bigger.

For my full bath, they did the combination with the bathtub and the shower together. When I asked them, they said that if I purchased the same model in 2016, they will put the separate shower. However, now they're doing the cost reduction, so they took the shower away, which made this house downgrade the quality. Even the people who came to rent my house, they wanted to have a separate shower. LGI could have made it optional, asked me to add $5,000, $6,000, or $7,000 and gave me the choice to add a separate shower. I will do that ‘cause that makes my house look better and it will make the value different and then I can rent higher. I kept asking their sales if they can let me pay more to have the separate shower.

There's space in there but LGI made it into another closet. They kept changing the model style and I was not satisfied, but because I already paid my $5,000 deposit, I had no choice. If I can choose to refund the money, I probably will. But I just forgot about it. Finally, they said I can switch to the four-bedroom, so I looked and even the four-bedroom is not what I like, but I compared it with the three-bedroom they already built for me and the four-bedroom model was better. I changed at the last minute because if I already paid $210,000 then I'd rather add a couple more to buy the four-bedroom model house. Because at least with the four-bedroom model, the front is bricks.

My fiancé and I were browsing then he found a link on Facebook for LGI Homes but we hadn't even looked at any other lenders. We went in around September 20th and we first started out with one person, Tyler. He was good for the most part but he left out some details. The deposit of a certain amount was going to be refunded but it wasn't. It went towards the closing call and that was our biggest issue. Also, with their whole advertising, they have zero down or payments at $718, but when we went in, my rate was nothing near that and I have a good credit score too. They may be using that in order to get people in but they shouldn't advertise something like that because a lot of people will look at that.

Towards the end, we started working with Tyler's manager, Mike. Our hold turnaround time was about three weeks which was quick and we moved in on October 13th. This is my first home and it's pre-built but they could have included that we still have to come out of pocket. I don't really care for the carpet but it is what it is and in terms of the blinds, they only did the front part of the house so we still have to get the blinds for the rest of the house. It was crazy but everything else was good. They're still building more homes towards the back area but the community is very quiet and I like it.

Plus, the overall customer service was better. We closed October 28th and it took 30 mins. Plus, the sales rep was good. We were going to go through the custom build home process. However, the home that we like was under a contract and a couple of days later, the contract fell through, so we were able to close on the pre-built.

The house is very basic and doesn't have a lot of upgrades. The light fixtures in the hallway are not straight, but other than that, it's okay. I want to upgrade the carpet and the light fixtures. I also want to finish the basement and other little things. But, for the most part, we were pretty satisfied. We like the community so far. We're still really new and haven't met a lot of people. However, it seems to be a really nice community and neighborhood. It's nice that we back up to a park and trail. I really appreciated the transparency that LGI provided for me. They were very quick, personable, and professional. I felt very happy with my overall experience. I know that this was definitely a blessing from God. I was very discouraged. With other companies, after first going through a realtor and then the financer, you get approved if you meet the salary and credit requirements, but they don’t tell you about the extra $400 to $500 a month you need to pay for the mortgage insurance and other things.

I am a first-time buyer and I'm learning through the process. If we buy at the builder, we get a cookie-cutter thing. There aren’t as many personalized purchases as it would be for a $300,000 home. Of course, you can pay the extra $50,000 interest for features that you could put in yourself for 5,000 to 10,000. You're not paying off as much off the house as you would for a $300,000 home, but then you do still figure out how to invest. The spacing amount could be increased though. However, I got lucky with how mine was made.

Overall, my top thing was the personal touch. My salesperson called me or texted if not every day, every other day to check on me. They kept reassuring me and connected me with a personal testimony. When you've dealt with four people who had ulterior motives or weren't forthcoming with information, it's hard to get out of that. LGI Homes helped me get out of that. They were very reassuring about it all, even the finance guy, even though he asked too many questions, as he was supposed to. I felt good about who I was working with.

They answered a lot of my questions about the lender because I've never heard of them. That was really good. They were true to their word. All the blinds are missing, but I get it. They're $500 a house and they're building 100 houses. But overall, I feel very happy and pleased. It may be an extra 10-minute drive, but it's one of the better places to be. I got very quick follow-ups from everybody. Not just the sales and finance team, but the contractor was very professional, and quick. They answered all of my questions and fixed the areas that I pointed out.

I had some personal questions about how my previous real estate people were trying to obviously make money off of me. They were very patient while I asked them to clarify what are some things I can say or how I can respond just to make sure that I was doing it the right way. They didn’t have to help ease my mind, but I really appreciated it. That helped me feel really good. I also like the fact that they have an office nearby, even if only for a little while. Having something there during the transition lets me feel a little bit more ease that I'm not going to be abandoned and have to drive 10 blocks just to get a response.

The sales reps were very nice and friendly. They went over everything to make sure we understood it. However, the process of buying was a little stressful. The quality of the built of the house is nice and we love it, but it didn't have a doorbell or a peephole and a power strip for the garage so we can get a garage door opener. They're supposed to fix a few things that we had put on a list. We call and keep in touch with them whenever we need different things. And we just wait when we get something done that we felt that needed to be fixed. But the home is a lot better than staying in an apartment because we have our own parking spaces. We have no neighbors yet so it's a really nice and quiet area. Plus, the amenities are good. Overall, it was a fast and convenient experience with LGI Homes.

One of my associate at work referred me to LGI Homes. The purchasing process happened so fast and we were able to close our home within 20 days with no money down. Everything that their salesperson, Ronnie, promised from day one he has been on it. He made it come true. I have my oldest daughter who was getting married at the same time that we were supposed to have closed on the escrow which I was trying to get him to close for me on the third or fourth of November because I wanted my daughter to walk out of the house in her white wedding dress. He told me he had no time but he told me that him and the loan officer by the name of Marlyn will try their best.

They were always very in communication with either myself or my realtor. And he’s always keeping me updated even though we’ve already closed on our business to LGI. He’s always still making sure that we’re fully satisfied with the purchase and that we are good with the home. I'm very in love with our home and the way everything happened so fast.

We always thought we were just not ready to buy to use our credit. When we came there they were just like, “No, we can get you approve.” Never that they ever say, “No, we didn’t tell you that” or "No." They always kept their word and I’m just very satisfied. We are very happy with the purchase that we have made and with the sales people -- the professionalism from everyone at the office. We were always treated with very high much respect and lots of communication.

I would call him or text him three or four times a day to ask questions and they would always text me back, call me back or email me. They have given me all the information. And I told Ronnie, “This is not going to be our first home.” He is still trying to see if we can get other family member also to purchase another home in the community as well. The walkthrough that we did with the construction manager was also totally explained from inside and from the outside. I’m living this dream that my family and I are in this beautiful home that we never expected ever to be already owning -- being home owners in a home with like I said zero down. We had to take care of some things to get a loan, but everything went smoothly during the purchase process. The quality of the build of the home is good so far. We came from a fifth wheeler and living in our new home made our lives so much better. We’re very happy with the house, the property and we like the new community we live in. We loved the experience.

The process was good and easy with LGI Homes. Their sales representative was very informative and helpful. But I had difficulty with the loan operator that they use. I had a hard time getting information out of her and she wasn't very responsive. Like my closing date was one day and then it ended up being closed for two weeks after that time. Things weren't really communicated to me properly. It was a big purchase and I wanted to know what's going on with every step of the way and it just was real difficult to speak with her. My mom also purchased a house and while she was going through the process the loan operator just wasn't very responsive and informative when things weren't going right so in the end she backed out.

After realizing that the loan operator wasn't the easiest to communicate with I did a lot of my communication with my sales rep who was like a mediator between her and me. And my sales rep was amazing. I started out with building a home and then I wanted a different floor model. There wasn't an option to customize from what I was told. But there was one that is already built with the floor model I wanted and that's the one I got. The way they build homes in Florida is a little different. They don't have a formal dining-type, which is something that they do. But besides that the house is great and so is its quality. I have no complaints so far and there's a great community in my location. The neighborhood is nice and my family and I are enjoying the home. I had a great experience with LGI Homes in general.

They have more space to run around and they're looking forward to getting a dog soon. We really liked Jonathan, the LGI rep who helped us. We were shocked at how easy he made everything for us. He answered all of our questions and every time I called him, he was always available. He was awesome. And I refer everybody that's looking for a house to him.

We went to a different LGI property and my real estate guy happened to know Brad, the guy that handled the area here. We met with him and he's awesome. We looked at five to eight different homes around the community and there were certain things we didn't like about them, but Brad was so patient and let us absorb, lurk, and stare at things. Everything went well and we like everything around the area, so we came to a decision. Overall, Brad is the perfect person to sell homes for LGI. Definitely in my books, he is going to be recommended. If anybody of my family members decides to buy a home, he will be the one to walk with them. We are looking at my parents finding a new home as well and I want Brad to be the one to walk with them.

The house we bought is beautiful and everything is nice. I like the structure of the home and it's plain brick. However, LGI only does the grass in the front and at the back of the house. I have a big yard that just has patches of grass. I had to pay a landscaping person to come out and do grass in the back because the dirt they installed is sandy. I'm staring at it outside and right now, it's mud. I wish the whole house had grass.

We bought a pre-built new home from LGI Homes. We had Fred walk us through the process because it was our first time and he had kept us in the loop on everything that was going on. They weren’t closing a week early even with the hurricane. They did not do any customizations to the home since it's how they keep their cost down. So, we’re customizing and we’re doing tile backsplashes and other stuff, which has added a lot more trips to Home Depot.

There are some areas that could have been improved. Most of the issues that we’ve seen are with the drywall work. Also, our back door wasn’t hung right, so it wouldn’t close right but they came and fixed it. And then, they didn’t put the sensor back in the door for the alarms. So we had to wait for somebody else to come out to put the sensor in, and in order to put the sensor back in, they had to cut into the sheetrock and we’re also waiting for somebody to come out and do it. But other than those, the community seems fine and it’s very quiet out here.

At first, I dealt with Jorge, but he had another family that he was attending to, which was fine, so he introduced me to Fred. Fred helped me out so much. I had a little bump on the road when I had to pay some stuff off, but the people at LGI Homes said it was okay because I already did the process and I passed. It was then time to just relax, and everything was fine. I made my purchase last week and I’m already in my prebuilt home that's very spacious. The quality of the build was very nice and I like the rooms. I’m the first homeowner in the community so it’s quiet up here. I’m in Texas, and I told my friends that even if they don’t have a good credit score, or if they were affected by Hurricane Harvey, LGI Homes can still help them fast. It was really a good experience with LGI Homes.

I needed a home immediately and LGI Homes had one. The application went September 23rd and we closed it on October 23rd. It was easier than my previous two experiences. The sales agent was responsive. But the workmanship on the roof was horrible. So after I closed I hired an inspection and checked that the roof is in a very horrible shape. They had used damaged shingles. Right now we are still in the process of resolving the issue with LGI.

They told me that they would repair it and they will send pictures. Other than that the community is very nice. While it is very secluded it's very close to all the shopping area, which is a plus for me. It also has a small park within the community. Those are the good things. But they should partner with a better loan people because the rate I got was high. The only reason I chose the loan company I got is because LGI said that they would pay all my closing costs. But I found a much better rate outside.

LGI Construction Managers is not overseeing their homes. I did my final walk through and notice a lot of cover-up work in the home. When I got there the house was dirty. Trash on the kitchen counter, people still painting and caulking. A lot of cracks on every door frame, holes in the walls, ceilings need repairs, my guest bathroom ceiling look like it was push in from the seam, and the CM said it is nothing really he can do about that but he will make it look better lol.

He said the reason was the Sheetrock wasn't place right from the beginning when they frame the house. Crack baseboards, Crack doors, screws sticking out in the cabinet because they were too long etc... It was just a mess! This did not look like a new built house. The outside sod was put down without doing the dirt properly so it look a mess front and back. The landscape was terrible. My garage door handle was upside down, which I told them about 3 weeks prior. The main circuit breaker is outside the house. My mailbox is a community mailbox and I have a big green electrical box sitting in the front yard and a big hole in the grass.

He said, "Oh we owe you a tree" lol. For 244,000.00 house this house should have been built better and not just do cover-up work only. I will not be closing on this house. If I don't get my earnest money back of 1,000.00 then that is cool too. I rather lose 1,000.00 than lose 244,000.00 on something I'm not going to be satisfied with. I wish they had told me how the layout on the outside was going to be, but they didn't. I will look somewhere else. I know no house is perfect, but come on.

We’ve been working on purchasing a built home since October and it finally went through on the 30th. Our sales rep Monica was awesome and the loan company was really on it. We needed them to make a rush for it because we had to be out of our apartment by the 29th so the loan company, Monica and the entire group really put together as fast as they could to get us into our home. It took them about 30 days to get us into our house. It was a couple of days later than what we needed but it was miraculous that they could get it done that fast.

The house is perfect. 10 years ago, we looked at a house that was similar however, the house was in Litchfield, and the yard was a lot smaller. The houses were also placed a lot closer together. But the house that we bought from LGI Homes is the exact house that we wanted. It has the exact same layout as the other one. It has a master downstairs and the rest of the rooms and everything upstairs. It’s gigantic and like a mini-mansion. The house is amazing and the quality is good. There have been a few little mishaps here and there, but it's a brand-new home that no one’s ever lived in and no one’s ever done anything to.

The community is nice and I like it. We met a bunch of our neighbors on Halloween since we moved in a day before and that was a pretty nice thing. I’ve met a few people who don’t lock their doors at night, as well as their cars. A friend of mine who lives in the same neighborhood was lending me his truck and he just left his keys in the truck so I can borrow it later. So, I’m confident that the neighborhood is safe and secure. I had quick friends out here and the people are great. I would definitely recommend LGI Homes to anybody.

The area of LGI Homes seemed to be growing. In addition, my uncle and I like being close to the city but far enough away that we can see the sky and there's not very much pollution. So, we bought a pre-built house from them. I worked with their sales rep, Monica, who was very delightful. She was always positive and good to be around. The process of buying our home was fairly easy on our side. We submitted the purchase on Friday of last week.

Everything's cool with the quality of the build. By the time we were in the process of getting the house, it was pretty much already done and past the point of transformation. The only thing we needed were some minor fixtures, but we were happy without these anyway, as I'm not picky on stuff like that. Also, the size isn't too big. Plus, it would have been nice if we had an easier chance to have the garage door installed before we were finished with everything, but that's no problem.

We're moved into our new house. It's great and a big improvement over my old place. The only downside is that there's still a lot to be worked on. Overall, though, I enjoyed the entire thing. Every time I went to LGI, the people there were upbeat and happy to see me, even though it seemed like I was bugging them. Everybody I dealt with at LGI was nice to me and I didn’t have any problem.

We've only been in America for two years and we are first-time home buyers. When we spoke to our friends who had bought houses earlier, it looked so complicated and impossible. But the process at LGI Homes amazed us and we were done in 30 days. It was fast and not as complicated as people had made it look. I dealt with the manager Jim and he was excellent. He had good communication skills and he met our expectations. He addressed our concerns very well and with respect. He was also very efficient, displacing everything with the loan people. We liked the way they handled us and how we were explained to.

I chose LGI Homes because I found a school that I wanted to put my kids in. It's also important for us to be in a community where we feel it's safe for our kids. With LGI Homes, the community looks decent and its security is good. We are comfortable with having our kids here and we like the people around too. I'm very dissatisfied with LGI and would not recommend them to a friend because it will be embarrassing. I chose them because it was a gated community and their sales rep was good. He walked us through the process and helped us with our credit getting taken care of. I would want to commend him but he told me dreams which did not come true. The overall built of the house was very poor rushed. We were also told that doing any sort of customization to it was not an option.

We were supposed to move in this past Sunday but weren’t able to because there was so much wrong with the house. But we had no choice but to move into it as it was. The kitchen cabinets, tub and floor were damaged, the paint was scuffed up, the sheetrock was scratched up and the shower was rusted. Today, I’m still having people come out to make repairs. There was a guy that came for the sheetrock issue, but I have not seen anybody from the tub company to come and fix it. And I still can’t use my shower. Then there was a guy who came out and looked at the cabinets. He said that they’d be replaced but I haven't heard from him again.

Also, we were misled about the internet. I work from home and the salesperson told me that the home will come with the availability of using Comcast or AT&T which isn’t true. My house does not have either or. So I had to go out and find internet and I haven’t been able to work due to that problem. In addition, the security gate is always open in the front. I understand that in the back of the neighborhood, there’s going to be construction so the gates need to be opened. But, the security guard is never there.

We moved to this community because we were having safety issues and it’s not at all what was described. The HOA is poorly keeping up the property, the grass gets high and it’s not as pretty as it seemed when we were walking the home buying process. It’s very disappointing. I'm only a couple of days into this house and so far, the whole experience has been hard and difficult. To be in a new home that looks like crap when you get in is ridiculous. If I could get out of this house, I probably would take my money and go somewhere else.

When I went to see the new home, we changed properties and ended up getting another home because the one they showed me wasn't the one they built for me. And that change of property delayed the process for about two months. The home looks good, and the community seems good as well. Everybody's quiet and I haven't seen any trouble. However, telephone service is really bad. It's far away and my commute got longer. It's a little out of the way. I also researched after the fact and we were pretty much overcharged for the property, and I didn't like that, as well as the paperwork and the month of back and forth-ness. I felt that the consumer wasn't the main priority in this transaction.

He always had a positive attitude, even though we had some bumps along the way, he always kept my spirits up, as well as my family's spirits up on purchasing the home.

We bought a pre-built house and it was a little bit difficult because my wife is from Panama and we had to get information from her former employment. We were able to get it done, though. We would've been able to close on time on our closing date, but, at that time, my wife was in Panama, and she had to get the papers notarized by the U.S. Embassy. But over there, the notary costs $50 dollars per stamp, so it was going to be $600. We couldn't pay that, so we had to postpone the closing.

We just closed yesterday. When we were moving, though, the plumbing was having some issues because the toilet wouldn't flush, and whenever we were taking a shower, the overflow pipes outside were all spitting out water. So, I had to call them to fix it. They said they would be able to go today, between 3 and 5 pm. The community looks pretty nice. They told me that they're going to be building a park right in front of my house, so that's good. I'm still getting used to waking up in a big house but it's really nice. My kids love it. We're happy. If I have somebody who's looking for purchasing a home, I'd recommend LGI.

There were some issues in the beginning, but they are taking care of them and so far it’s been great. The interaction with the sales rep was a very good experience.

The way that they do things right now is that the owner gets to do a walkthrough. We call it an owner orientation on the same day as the closing day and I knew that was going to trigger many issues since the owner should get a chance to walk the property and generate a punch list for them to take care of those issues before actually signing for the house to do a closing. That was where things went wrong with me. We signed on the same day. There were different issues that if we could’ve been there at least a week before, those issues would’ve been taken care of at the time of signing. But other than that, the overall experience with the paperwork, buying and choosing the house was good. I like the house and I’m glad I chose LGI Homes.

We've signed the papers two weeks ago. The home we got, someone had bought and paid for to secure the thing out. But something fell through on their end and we picked it up towards the end. Most of the house was already draped and drywalled when we got it. But so far, the quality of the house is good.

They've had to come out and fix a few things that we went over during our walk-through at closing. They also had to get the granite part top fixed. They put it in yesterday and when they installed the bracket, it cracked the wooden molding around the base of the piece and they have to fix that. That happened yesterday at 6:00 at night. But other than that, my wife likes our home and we got our stuff moved in there last Tuesday. And although I have to rake over an extra 30 minutes to drive to work, that doesn't bother me. I've spoken with Erin about ten months earlier when I first wanted to know about this location but wasn't ready to make the move at that point. With my rent being bumped almost 250 bucks a month, I told her that it's time to look to get out of a rental and into a house.

About a month ago, I closed on the house. However, there are some less expensive products used. The kitchen cabinets are a concern. The windows don't match. The two on the front both go left to right, but then up and down on the two different rooms. There's also a dispute between the company that offers cable and LGI. The cable company was supposed to put fiber in, but they wanted LGI to pay for it. However, LGI said the cable company was the one making the money. So, I had to go wireless for internet.

I have some small ongoing issues, and they've taken care of a portion of them. They're supposed to correct the door but they didn't take care of that and they also didn't clean up very well afterward. I just went there last week to ask someone when they're going to fix the front door because it shuts very hard. They were going to put a threshold, a break, at the garage door but that hasn't been put yet.

There are some things I'm still going to chase them for. The other things, I'm just going to let go. In general, the quality is less than desirable. However, compared to where I was at, it's better. I like the community a lot and I'm satisfied with the amenities. It's in a nice area out in the sticks. There aren't a lot of restaurants in this community and to go anywhere, I've got to drive 15-20 miles. I'm generally happy with the experience and I would recommend them.

We purchased a pre-built home from LGI Homes about two weeks ago after we saw their advertisement saying they would do it with zero down. Mark, the sales rep, was great, helpful and tried whatever he could to get us in a home. So far, the quality is good. We’re very satisfied with the amenities and living in our new home is a lot better. We have our own space and the fact that the money is actually going to something that we might own one day is great. So besides having difficulty getting internet, I had a great experience with LGI Homes.

I liked the spacious lot that LGI Homes offered. I wanted to build a shop in the back and LGI was okay with that. That was the biggest reason why I decided to go with them. With the other places, I had to go through a crappy process. It was a lot more lenient with LGI. Also, there weren't so many crazy restrictions as far as what I can put in the back when it came to an additional building for a toolshed and a garage. Their salesman has been really polite and nice. He'd done the job. I purchased this pre-built house about six weeks ago and I moved in here five weeks ago. Right now, though, I have several issues with the house that need to be addressed.

The biggest one that we just found right now is a hole in the floor in the middle bedroom. The hole is underneath the carpet. There's a hole in the concrete and it feels like something broke that was covered up with carpet. That's crazy. I'm sure this was overseen by whoever had supervised the house while the construction was being done. They think no one's going to see that just because it's covered. That's bad business.

There are things that aren't working too. The fireplace isn't working. It was working when we did the walkthrough but when we moved in, it won't ignite. One of the burners of the barbecue pit outside doesn't work. The stove didn't work. It’s clogged with a plumber's putty inside the lines, so the flame was really low. For the first week, we couldn't even cook. Then, the dishwasher wasn't working. My wife figured out over the weekend that the water was shut off on it and that's why it wasn't working. I also like to get the code for the paint so that, at least, we would know where we can get some. It's terrible that we don't have the colors for the paint and no owners manual for the appliances. I also want the diagram of the sprinkler system because I'm going to be doing some work in the backyard. These little things should really be looked at before they get to deliver a home. I’m dissatisfied.

I purchased from LGI Homes a new home that was already built. The subdivision is good and close to the place where I work. Papers were filled and the purchase process was regular for a first-time owner, but it was not difficult. I like how they built the house, the backyard, and the front. It’s absolutely a quality build. I've been in the house for a week and I feel comfortable in it. My kids also like it and my wife is so happy with our house. It’s excellent.

I was checking something on Facebook and I saw LGI Homes’ advertisement on Facebook. I purchased a pre-built home and the total process took almost between two to three months. The sales reps were wonderful and awesome and they’re the best. I was impressed with the level of understanding and the accommodation, and the way they were able to make me achieve my goal. It was a nice experience. The quality of the build is okay but most of the things there need to be redone and the electrical parts of the house need a lot of work done. When I talked to one of the reps from LGI Homes, they said I'm supposed to go online. But that's another problem because since we've moved in, we've not been able to connect to the Internet. She said the crew has to come and lay some fibers around the subdivision before we can get the Internet started so I've not been able to log on.

Right now, we are only living in one room because the other things in the other rooms are not functioning. We cannot put the light on and cannot use the TV. I'm trying to see if I go back to the office and if they can send somebody to come in and see because when I turn the light on, it switches back off. So, I have to come down here and switch it back on from the breaker. Then in 30 minutes, it will switch itself back off again. So, we are stuck and it's only one room that is working. Except for that, we have a nice experience. The community is country and it’s a nice area because it has not been heavily populated. It's quiet and the traffic is not that bad. It's a nice community because we have access to almost everything. We can get to the drug store, the grocery store, and the gas station, and it's not too far from the interstate.

However, the only amenity they have is the playground and it’s not everybody that wants to go there. If they had a gym or a clubhouse where people can go in, it'll be something that I would be more interested in. It gets cold in the park but when you have a community gym, you can meet your neighbors and it should be a nice environment to meet people in the community. That’s something they can look into because with a gym or a clubhouse, people will go there and you will be able to be in a more relaxed mood. I just hope they will be able to keep all the things to maintain it, and for us to have a nice living condition. For now, everything is good and they need to work on it so that they can keep it up. I already recommended them to two or three more people.

My wife found LGI Homes on the internet. We liked them and so we decide to buy a home over there. We started the process before September. But the problem was that the first house we tried to buy was in September but they changed the date for the closing because of Hurricane Irma. In the beginning of the process, they were all fine. But in the middle of the process, the company didn't bring me the documentation and it wasted a lot of time. There was also a problem that they didn't consult us. After we decided for closing, we got some problems with the dates as something had happened. Three days before the closing, we checked their houses.

LGI found a problem with the construction, so they moved us to another house. We got the one with no construction problems. But then, there were some issues with the company. So, before the closing day, we didn't have any place to live so the company paid us for our stay in a hotel. This is our first home and we're fine with it. There was a big change as we lived in an apartment previously. The community we live in now is fine. It's quiet and peaceful. At this moment, the quality of the build of the house is great. But I need to check something since there's an error in the construction in the windows area.

We got a new home that was already built from LGI Homes. We went with them because of their Zero Down program. Also, I have a friend who works with them and she said that LGI is a good company, and she helped me fix my credit. We had good interactions with the sales reps. They answered all of our questions and got us through to where we needed to be. It only took a month or two to fix our credit. LGI Homes was fast, but we had some stuff that took us a while on our side. We closed on the 26th of October. We've been in the home now for two weeks, going on three. Overall, the quality of the build is good. There are some stuff around the house that are a little wobbly, but the house is not dirty.

But we've been trying to get somebody to come and fix our cabinet. LGI was supposed to do that in the morning of our closing date on Friday, but they didn’t do it. They rescheduled it to the next Monday, but they still didn’t come, so it just kept going around. The third time, this Monday, some guys finally came. They walked around and had this little pin marker thing, but they half-assed the work and just painted over the scratches and cuts in the wood. That can be seen and I could have done that myself. Then the guys said that somebody would come back and fix the cabinet.

The construction manager, Chris, would come back and replace something that has a big gash on it. I've texted Chris and our consultant, Mario, to let them know about the issue. But nobody has gotten back with me on that and it's frustrating, and I don't know if someone's going to come back and fix the cabinet, now that we've already moved in. Other than that, we had a pretty good and awesome experience with LGI.

My experience with LGI Homes has not been a good one. Too many things happened. We were supposed to close on the 29th but we ended up signing on the 10th. I just came from the doctor then and I was extremely exhausted. I have a pacer and I tried to explain to them, “I just came from the doctor. I need to rest." I don’t need to do this, but we had to sign. Nobody would tell us when we had to sign. We did the paperwork over three or four times. I am not a bitcher, but I am not a happy camper. If one thing goes wrong is one thing, but a series of things go wrong, and they keep blowing you off, that’s going to piss anybody off. I didn’t really want to do it but it came through and I finished signing some of the paper at 8:00 PM. Some of the paperwork is coming up. It's coming in only in my granddaughter’s name, not in my name when both of us are supposed to be on the house.

It was somewhat on a paperwork that would say both our names, but then when you go to the actual paper, it doesn’t have my name on it. That was part of the problem we had that’s why we didn’t sign. They said the appraisal’s coming through and we had to come out here to do the appraisal. I got a dishwasher that didn’t work, which they changed out. The sprinklers are not hooked up right while the house next door to me is empty and they got beautiful flowers sitting up there. They rushed me to move in this house and had some flowers that were almost dead because the sprinklers are not connected right. The flowers are like two little strands of flowers. I am just not happy at all. They thought that giving me a $500 whatever for me to go down and sign that night would make me feel better. We're trying to get our mortgage together. We don’t know where the HOA is to pay.

They gave us a number from the office, but the number isn't working. We got our monthly bill statement to pay our mortgage. We have three plates in here coming through the house to link up the Wi-Fi, the internet, and the TV but the man can only find two. He said the plate is there but he can't find where it goes to and so, I have to get somebody else in here to find out. It's just nonstop to the point where I don’t even want to call them. It's useless to call because then they tell you, “Oh, call this person. We'll call you back.”

Yesterday, there was this person who was supposed to have taken over now being the manager of the year and he was the one that said, “We'd give you $500 gift certificate.” That doesn’t pacify my health because they're stressing me out. I am thinking of calling the attorney general because I am just really pissed off. Not only that but the date they said it was going to be because nobody knew when it was going to be. When he said it was going to be, it wasn’t done. It cost us $1,000 more, and we're still not moved out of our house.

I am not feeling warm and fuzzy right about here. My front door is not closing right, and they keep telling me that’s the way it is. There are also big things in my driveway, the flowers over there are not right, and they haven't looked up my door. It's just been one nightmare after another. The top of the cabinet upstairs is off, too. They're supposed to come someday and glue back up the top of the kitchen cupboard because the paneling is off the border and it's not glued on yet. Every time you try to show them something, they tell you some excuse. I am not having it and I'm just really fed up. I know where I have to go. I'm trying to give them a chance to rectify this stuff. I'm only going to call them once or twice, and then I'm done. I'm just going to go straight to talk to the attorney general because I've done this before, and because I'm a senior, I've gotten results. I'm trying to be halfway decent and I don’t want to badmouth them.

Now, we're trying to get our mortgage set up but we don’t have anything to know where to pay the homeowners. We got a statement for the monthly, but we are trying to know exactly what it is and get a budget or an idea of what we're paying. We can't do that. Who do you call because there's nobody in the office? I don’t understand. They're going to get back to you but they don’t. We have some nonsense going on with some insurance. They're telling us we have to pay $309 for insurance from September 29th to October 29th. Then they told us it was included in our mortgage so we don’t know what's going on. Anybody we called, we're not getting any answers. I feel like I'm in a merry-go-round that won't stop for me to get off or get on.

Now, I'm over here trying to be calm but this is not helping me because they're trying to pacify me by telling me some nonsense because they think I'm old or I'm stupid. It should have been a joyful experience and you're having to look at something that is not exactly what you thought it would be and not what they described. My granddaughter and my auditor like the house. It's cozy enough and we can make it nice and livable. But to go through all this crap and be rushed around, and then when you ask somebody something, nobody knows. You're upset because you're asking. Then why bother? I tried to give AARP this address, and they can't even locate it. I decided not to talk to them because I will go off and I'm trying not to get a heart attack or aneurysm rupture. At the rate they're going, they're going to kill me.

However, as far as getting stuff fixed, they tell us when it's going to be done, we take off work, and then they do not show up. For the cabinet, my wife took off work Monday and Tuesday, and they were supposed to fix everything that time and then that didn’t happen. Then I took off Friday and the cabinet didn’t get fixed.

When we did the walkthrough, John was great. However, we still didn’t get our fixtures cleaned. The other Saturday Eliot said they were supposed to come by and then they never came. There was a bunch of dead bugs in some of the fixtures when we moved in. They were going to clean it out and never did. The biggest issue we had is really the coordination. I’m satisfied now that we’re moved in except the stuff still didn’t get cleaned out. I wouldn’t want anybody to have to deal with that headache. But everything seems to be done pretty good with the build. The pool and playground look good. They have a little splash pad and stuff for the kids. It’s great living there. It’s great to have a new home and come home to it every day.

The LGI reps were very nice people to deal with and everything was very good with the office. They guided me through step by step and Carrie was great. I have a nice backyard and some of my neighbors I've met are nice. The neighborhood seems okay and Santa Barbara is a block or two away, which is convenient for me 'cause I don't drive. I have family here and it's quiet. It's a little dead compared to where I'm from, New York, and the only thing I do is go out and shop.

As far as the sale of the house, everyone was great. But there were a few little things with the house that needed to be fixed. LGI fixed most of them, but not all of it is done. My stove drawer was all banged up and they put a new drawer, but I have a dent on the top of the stove which we didn't notice till we put the light on. Plus, there's a crack in the tile where they put the stove in and I can't see it unless I'm on the floor, which is how my daughter saw it. Also, the walls are made out of paper. We could hear everybody talking and we have to whisper in order to not be heard. It's a big house, but there's no privacy and I don't like that. Otherwise, it's a beautiful house and I'm happy with it. I would recommend LGI to a friend.

Then we were told we qualify for a 0 down but you have to you have to give 1000 dollars down. Then you're told based on your documents you do not qualify (bait and switch). Nothing but lies. These are true facts. Not trying to bash LGI but I would prefer to be told me no than to go through all this. Now I have to beg for my deposit back. We went over to look at the houses since I was interested, the reps showed us the plans and they showed us another area too. But, I felt comfortable in an area that I wanted in particular. LGI Homes built the home for us and did customization with the granite countertop, the refrigerator, closet and the shelves for the closets and cabinets. It’s been about two weeks that I purchased from LGI Homes and it’s been very pleasant in the neighborhood.

Our house and the materials used were very durable and steady, even when we looked at the attic. I appreciate the fence that was added to the home which made it private. I’m crazy about it as other houses I’ve seen didn’t have a fence. But, I wasn’t satisfied with the one door in the living room. It’s just a big area and there’s one door at the back porch over the kitchen and another one going to the living room that the door passes on the back door which I felt they could’ve given a little bit more.

I would recommend bringing a realtor, that is what I did and still had several issues. I selected my home and a week later I decided to upgrade and purchase a larger home. My sales lady was nice but lied and had an excuse for just about everything, she was also forgetful. She told me several times that she got me a housewarming gift, I bought my house in early August. It is now the end of October and I have yet to receive this so called housewarming gift. Elaine was very fast at responding to my emails and questions, several of the answers did feel like they were being recited from a script, however, she was fast to respond even late on Friday evenings.

First and foremost, I closed on my home 8/11/2017 and shortly after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. I ended up having water damage in my home due to the roof flashing not being installed correctly. I had damage in my guest bathroom, 3rd bedroom and the ceiling in the garage. I was able to get a roofer out after the storm hit because LGI was telling me that I was going to have to file a claim on my homeowner's insurance. I was very upset because I had only been in my house for about a week. The roofer that I was able to get to come out was able to inform LGI that the roof flashing was not installed correctly and was the cause of the roof damage and all the Sheetrock damage inside the home. LGI did end up fixing my home, after several emails, text messages, warranty claims filed, etc.

My loan officer Jennifer, was great and very nice to deal with. She was fast at responding to my emails at the start of everything. She always had a smile and was generally fast and for the most part did what she said she was going to do. All in all, the experience was ok, this was my first home to buy and I felt like I was lied to a few times but what can you do? I do now know what to look for in the future and will more than likely not be purchasing another home through LGI.

My friend asked me if I wanted a new home. When I said yes, he took me over to LGI Homes. We purchased a house from them that’s already built and the quality is good. I’d recommend LGI Homes.

LGI Homes' representatives were very honest and they do all they can to help, which are good traits to have. They're also friendly, seemed like they cared about our needs, wanted to make sure we got the best deal we possibly can for the house and worked hard for us. The signing process was extremely smooth and their building was very well made. The quality is top-of-the-line and I couldn’t be any happier. Life and particularly apartment living are tough. I closed on the 21st of September and living in a real home has definitely made life a littler easier.

LGI's ad to own a home at our rate got my attention and I closed in on a new home by the end of September. It’s going to be a nice community once they finish everything and ironed out some of the kinks they already have. I tried to purchase an opener for my garage, which I knew didn’t come with the model. But because of the foundation of the model that I have, they will not allow me to get a standard garage opener. I cannot have an automated one unless I put in an outlet closest to the door which is going to cost me $500. Other than that, everything was nice for the standard home. And I would recommend them.

The area, the fact that the new home belongs in a development out there, and it was affordable were the reasons I chose LGI. The community looks good and the home is good.
