    Absolutely worst washing machine I have EVER owned. If you buy one, plan on replacing the drain pump 3-4 times a YEAR. Typical cheap Korean crap. We bought this on the recommendation of a salesperson at Lowe’s. I told him that I had bad luck with LG phones in the past. He assured me that the LG appliance department was completely different than the phone department. However, I do think that they shared the same Quality Assurance department. Every time I turn around, I have to replace the drain pump. It’s ridiculous. OEM pumps are no better than replacement pumps off of Amazon. Please buy anything except LG. They are pure junk.

    I have had my LG for probably about 3-4 years. I run the clean cycle once a month, maybe not always every month, but I run it regularly. There is always dark colored flaky junk in the tub and on the clothes when the cycle is finished. I have to shake the clothes to remove some of the small dark particles before I throw it in my dryer. I don't know how to fix this, very frustrating.

    I went through a GE pair very quickly before exchanging for my LG Washer/Dryer. Quick background: It's been 30 years since I bought a W/D. For the past 15 years, we've used the community coin laundry in our apartment. We pay ZERO for our water, and the EXPENSE of HEATING it, that's important here! The only reason this washer gets a #2 is because it is virtually SILENT in its operation! Not only silent, it has NO VIBRATION, even in the spin cycle! Yes, it plays a slightly annoying little digital tune at the cycle end, but can barely hear it from the laundry room.

    I support conservation! This thing however, is so far past being extreme, it is unbelievable! The "normal" setting, provides so LITTLE WATER as to be USELESS! I don't know if I got a unit with a BAD water level detector, but even a small to medium load, the clothes on top are DRY when the machine starts trying to wash them! USELESS! So DEEP FILL is the ONLY way to use it. Shame on you LG if this is a "known defect".

    I purchased an LG washing machine with an extended warranty, and it has never cleaned my clothing properly. The agitator barely moves and my clothes just soak. LG repeatedly refused to acknowledge the problem and instead sent me in circles scheduling multiple technician visits just to “prove” the washer wasn’t functioning.

    Two technicians came to my home: The first technician inspected the washer while it wasn’t on and found nothing wrong. He did not report any misuse and said the machine appeared to be clean and functioning normal. The second technician arrived while the washer was mid-cycle as I was asked a second time to wash something dirty so that he could see that the load was not being cleaned. When he arrived, I decided to wash a pet rug that my small dog had soiled with urine. I also showed the tech dirty clothes that have went in prior that had already been washed and were still soiled. LG stated the second tech reported “pet feces debris,” in the washer but this directly contradicts his behavior in my home—he never stopped the cycle, never warned me of a hazard, never followed any biohazard protocol, and never behaved as if anything dangerous was present.

    LG claims the technician took photos showing feces, yet they have provided no photos, no evidence, and no documentation to support this claim. While he was in my home, I only saw pet dander that was in the machine mid cycle from the dirty rug. LG immediately closed my case on their end, when going through the Better Business Bureau, offering no proof of claims of feces. They went to great lengths to avoid a decent resolution and acknowledge the poor performance of their product. I submitted photos (attached) of the inside of my washer, which you can see shows no feces or misuse of any kind.

    The truth is simple: I washed items that any household washer should be capable of handling. It should handle pets, babies etc. it does not. The machine still does not clean my clothing, and LG used an unsupported “misuse” accusation to deny warranty coverage for what is clearly a design problem, not customer behavior. I am requesting transparency and a proper executive-level review, and I want other consumers to be aware of how LG handles valid warranty claims. I do not recommend purchasing from this company.

    I purchased a washer dryer combo in May, 2025. I am waiting for my 2nd scheduled service in 7 months. I have had a terrible experience. The washer dryer combo stops mid-cycle due to lint build-up. It won't drain or spin and the lint trap is in a spot where it causes a flood while trying to remove the lint. This is a poor design and I do not recommend it.

    Doesn't work after 3 days. Horrible. I'm disgusted. I would not recommend this machine bought from Home Depot. This machine was installed 3 days ago. I unplugged it, restarted it and it not lock into a setting.

    This is the worst washing machine imaginable. It does not use enough water to get clothes clean. Whatever you put in the top of the load just floats on top never getting cleaned at all. Forget about trying to wash bedding, it doesn't get washed at all. And this stupid thing cannot balance a load to spin no matter what, it just keeps refilling the tub with water and then failing over and over. There is not one redeeming quality in this piece of garbage.

    I purchased a new LG washer (model #WT700CW) and dryer (model#DLE700W). Between the two, they have shredded every article of clothing I own. It took me nine months to finally realize it was my new washer and dryer causing the issue. I kept making up excuses for each item. I was first told it was my washer. The repair tech could see shards of plastic. He said it was a defective part from the factory. Once they finally got the part and made the repair I continued to have new clothing destroyed. After many repair visits I was told nothing is wrong with the washer nor dryer.

    Today I was told they are going to replace the baffles/paddles in the dryer & a center piece they keep popping off that is damaged from the constant removal during repairs. I am sick of being a guinea pig at the expense of heirloom quilts made by my grandmother and every article of clothing I have recently purchased, it is an endless cycle. Upon realizing the issue, I was set up with appointment after appointment. The appt that would have made the appliances eligible for replacement was scheduled a handful of day after the manufacturer warranty expired. Then onto the Lowe's Protection Plan Warranty which requires three more repairs 30 days apart to qualify for replacement, mean while my choices are dirty or destroyed clothing. This makes my second visit under this plan. Of course they have to order parts and I get to just wait.

    The visit before, I was told nothing was wrong. The repairman left and nothing changed my clothing continued to be destroyed. This guy seems unqualified for the job but who am I to say. Now it warrants repairs...? Again I get to wait on parts and watch the painstaking repairs from an unqualified tech. praying it doesn't end up worse. I know what brand and store I will not be purchasing appliances from again, save yourself the nightmare. I wish I could come back and add photos! I have plenty of pics to put on display of brand new towels, wash cloths, tea towels, kitchen cloths, blankets, sheets, shirts, jeans all now destroyed!

    LG nor Lowe's care to resolve this issue much less replace any destroyed items. I recently had my dryer vent cleaned out for the first time now that I have had towels shredded and a quilt in the lint trap every single use, I think I need to have it cleaned again due to a code displayed on the dryer after every single use. Thanks for gladly accepting my $1,600 payment and ruining every linen I own and having the audacity to tell me if I am not satisfied with the repair I might need to buy a new washer and dryer when this pair of appliances were purchased 12 months ago.

    I'm sorry LG but I'm very disappointed in this Thin Q front-loading washing machine. I cannot recommend it. So consumers, here's what I think is wrong with it. It takes way too long to wash a load of clothes, two and a half hours. The sad thing is of that 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours that it frequently takes to wash the clothes and it spends 3/4 of that time just sitting there not agitating not spinning not doing anything but 3/4 of the time it's doing nothing one quarter of the time it's actually spinning and agitating the clothes, silly me I thought agitating the clothes and some soapy water was the way we got them clean, LG seems to have a long dry cycle wash.

    The next thing is, there is never enough water in the drum for my satisfaction. I have to add gallons of water by hand through the soap dispenser just to get my clothes wet. And the most frustrating thing about this is that there is absolutely no way to adjust the water level as you can on a traditional machine. I expect my clothes to get wet in order to wash the dirt out of them and there is never enough water and no way to adjust it. I simply have to add gallons to each load with a large container... Second of, imagine you've got some dirty clothes and occasionally they are agitated in a small amount of very dirty water and the Machine drains that water, but it doesn't spin them before it just goes to adding a little more water for the rinse cycle.

    Yes, I have to add gallons of water to that also. A machine can't rinse out a huge load of clothes with a gallon or two of water. I don't know how much is putting in there, but it's not enough ever. And did I mention the fact that there is no way to adjust the water level on this machine, there is no way to make it do a spin before it does the rinse cycle. There are no downloadable cycles that increase the water level.

    You can download Cycles, but they're useless for me. So here is my advice to LG, agitate the clothes, fill up the tank with water, at least enough to get them wet or let me adjust it that would make more sense and don't sit on your laurels for three quarters of the time for the lengthy wash cycle. Just put some water in there and get to agitating, it's that simple. I don't and I don't think most Americans want to see their expensive brand name washing machine just sitting on its arse for an hour and a half with nearly every 2 hour wash cycle. It's a simple process that LG seems to have complicated to the point of making themselves look ridiculous. I will not buy another LG washing machine that operates like this one. Can you tell I'm frustrated? I've owned it over a year and I'm still frustrated with this machine. I wish I could take it back. Not satisfied.

    As long as you only want straight washing it's fine. But if you want to rinse only or rinse and spin forget it. Give me the old fashion washer any day. I don't want to run my washer on line! Even after following the directions I can't rinse and spin. Geez.

    So far we have owned this washing machine for 6 months. We are a family of 5. So there’s a lot of laundry getting done. The positives so far are the tub is large enough for heavy loads and seems to do well. We’ve only had a tub uneven error 2 times. The preset wash cycles are ok with the exception of not having a soak feature. This is one of two huge downfalls for this unit. The second negative is there is no spout to rinse the bleach dispenser or your hands if needed. Hey #LG, not every laundry room has a sink. This lack of a feature is one of the biggest pet peeves of ours. We didn’t notice this when selecting because we thought all washers would allow water to dispense with the lid open. The WiFi enabled connection to the app is helpful to keep tabs on the cycles and when to do a tub clean. If I had to go back to the time of selecting a washer, I would probably have gone with a different brand due to the negatives.

    What a great experience! So happy we purchased this top load washer without an agitator in the drum and the matching dryer that opens the door two different ways. Love the glass top on the washer; just keep a microfiber cloth handy and the glass looks good as new. I love the AI feature on the washer that adjusts the load for you. When you take out the wash, you can slide the tub to bring to bring the clothes to your reach instead of trying to lean in. The settings are all adjustable. I don't have to worry about measuring liquid detergent into every load because it's done automatically.

    I like that the ThinQ app lets me know when the washer or dryer is done, so if I'm outside, I can get laundry done sooner. I did cut a piece of soft shelf liner to fit the top of the dryer and now nothing slips off of it and you can use it as a folding surface. My daughter bought the SpeedQueen. I am glad I got to experience those units first-hand. Horrible. Very happy with the my LG purchase. And if you have an ABT close to you, don't buy anywhere else. They have their own technicians. I did buy extended warranty. Better safe than sorry.

    Honestly, spending $3200 just 3.5 years ago and now having to replace the washer is absolutely ludicrous. $1500 for a new washer. I was told by a certified technician that the drum seal was broken. I am so bummed and the dryer works ok, it's stacked so I have no choice but to buy another LG. I will not be purchasing ever again. :(

    We bought a brand new washing machine in August of this year. LG brand. That machine has NOT worked since they delivered it. Lowe's, where it was bought, told us to reach out to LG. We have a 2 year warranty. They sent out a service man the week after who said a part is bad so he will have to order it. I don't understand, a new machine! Needing a new part! Maybe a week and a half later, someone showed up with the part and installed, started the machine and left. Within 8 minutes after, the same error message (LE) came on. So, so far they've come 3 times, ordering parts, putting them in, leaving and the cycle continues. My husband told them, it's time for a replacement. They responded saying we are not qualified for a replacement.

    This is already the 2nd week in October and the washing machine still isn't working. When we call customer service, all the woman keep saying, this is the policy and only someone in a higher position can help but we have not been able to speak to that "higher up" person. This is frustrating to say the least. When asked for the direct number to reach management we are told there is no direct line but they will call us. This is like a nightmare. We bought a "brand new washing machine for just about 2 months now and not able to use. Worse company that we ever had to deal. Would NEVER recommend LG.

    LG top load washers have an ineffective tub clean cycle, and there is no manual way to clean the washer. Appliance service representatives confirm there is no available solution. It's frustrating to own such an expensive washer with no reliable maintenance options, especially since it often leaves behind scud and residue after each wash.

    I would give a 0 if I could. Horrible washing machine. I had a terrible leak, 2 inches of water. LG has to have the worst customer service. I can't understand anyone. When I called they said they would send someone to look at the problem, OK good. I said I had a restoration team coming to clear out all the water. She said Ok. Of course we had to move the washer and dryer to clean up the water, my insurance said do what you have to because of all the water. When the guy from LG called, AAA Pro services, he became very angry when I told him we had to move the washer, He then said, we will not pay you. What??? Then he came out and said it was several different things, like it was my pipes clogged up and the water backed up. My restoration people said it couldn't be because there was no water on my pipes or the back of wall!!!!

    My friends even told him a couple of times when he said it was another reason, that he was wrong because there is no water there. He had no common sense at all. they disqualified what he was saying and he had no common sense. He was trying to make it look like it was my fault somehow. Then he said it was the filter on the front of the washers and it must have come loose from the machine when it shakes. This is all so crazy. LG sent out the worst person, I had many people here who agreed. I said it couldn't be the filter as there was no water by the filter and...strangest thing...I had water in the bottom drawer of the dryer!!!! Soapy dirty water.

    My washer and dryer are at least 6 inches a part. He had no answer. I am afraid to use the washer because I believe the guy doesn't know what he is talking about. He said he would send a new filter. That is nuts. it is still not connected as they are still drying out the place, and walls, floors. It is a nightmare with this company. Customer service is also terrible, they will hang up on you if the problem is too difficult. I am contacting BBB, maybe a lawyer. Just so sad.

    I am so upset with LG repair service. I own 2 all in one washer dryer. Each time I need a repair, it takes approximately 3 to 4 months to repair. They send out at least 3 service companies that come look and say they can't repair it. Then, ASAP Appliance Repair was phoned. It took them 2 weeks to research and resolve the drying time and detergent dispenser issue. ASAP is no longer working with LG. I am having the same issue with the 2nd all-in-one. It's taken 2 weeks for the first guy to show and repair. He was so rude. Barely looked at the appliance. Accused us of overfilling soap in an auto dispenser. Case manager at LG defended Surepro service. I waited a week and still no reply and no booking for a second service company. I'm still waiting. And now there is water in the condenser and the screens in front.

    My washing machine has clutch and rotor problem. The technician came and work on it. Before the 90 days warranty expire the same problem occurred. I called for service and was told that the load was unbalance. I had been using this machine for 5 years. It never had unbalance load or overload problem. There was "water plus" button on the machine to use to add water because the water was not sufficient, but the technician said if I use it that will Void the warranty. The technician cancelled the service schedule without checking the problem. The Technician could have check the problem and made a decision before cancelling the schedule service.

    Product has loud banging noise when going into spin cycle, it was just installed this last weekend, because of a delay on our flooring. I was on the phone with LG for over 8 hours, they are not willing to return or repair for that matter. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Period! They constantly give the run around and act as though they don't understand the level of frustration. I'm working with the "RETURN AUTHORIZATION " TEAM to refund my money.     As far as washing clothes, the LG washer is good. It is fast and the clothes are clean. However, the washer emits a terrible smell. After each washing, we have to remove the detergent tray to dry, wipe all of the gasket nooks and crannies to dry water, and leave the door open. Even after all of that, if we close the washer door for a day, the smell returns. Pretty lousy design for water drainage. It should not require a 5-minute drying after every use.

    The last LG rep left a voicemail this morning, but I could not understand her at all. Note: I buy this LG combo from Lowe's, Lowe's refuses to fix because my protection plan doesn't start for a year, I chat with LG for over an hour online wherein they suggest I get someone to help me, LG finally sends out a guy that can't fix it and he leaves after 5 minutes without replacing screws he took off the back, I chat online again and I am told LG can't send someone "due to the situation becoming hostile." Are you kidding me?

    Richard, the tech they sent, was beligerant from the moment he arrived. He said things like "have you done (fill in) yet? Have you cleaned filter? Have you cleaned the drain? Have you . . . ??? And, frankly, yes, I have done all those things! He then said the vibration and noise was because the unit was on wood floors, or was hitting the bookshelf [wasn't even close enough to hit bookshelf]. And would wood floors cause the noise and vibration? I don't think so. DO NOT BUY - LG IS UNTRUSTWORTHY!

    Let me first start by saying my nightmare with LG started on 8/14 and is still on going. I hate it honestly as we have been an LG family for years, NO MORE!

    My top load washer that was purchased 9/29/2024 stopped working on 8/14/2025. Yes, less than a year old. But glad still under factory warranty. Well, that is the first LG issue as their warranty really doesn’t mean much especially when it comes to customer service.

    We put in a “ticket” with a gentleman on the phone who then advised someone from a repair shop will be in touch with us in 24 hours. CRIKETS. My husband called back and spoke with a lady who said. “Oh, I am sorry he never did that; he started a claim but never had anyone listed to get in touch with you let me do that now.” Okay, mistakes happen. Fast forward another 24 hours and we get a text message that a repair show will be getting in touch with us. Overnight we received another text that the repair shop declined the service, and they were on the hunt for another one. My husband had to call back again because no one reached out. Finally get another text that another repair shop will be in touch to schedule, overnight again receive text that repair shop declined to repair. This happens 3 times in total. My question to LG is are you not paying out your warranty work so that no appliance repair shop is will to work for you?

    Now we are coming up on a week of no washer, no repair in site. Again, what is the since of having a warranty if the repair cannot be done. We call again this time to escalate the issue; we get a whole reference number and think okay the next person that calls us is going to be able to do something. WRONG. In the meantime, we get another text stating that a repair shop will be calling to set up an appointment. This is now our 4th repair shop, but they do actually reach out but cannot come until September 3rd. So now we have wasted a week trying to get a repair man, and when we finally do it is another 2 weeks out. How is this acceptable? I am asking!

    8/21 our escalation guy Carlos calls. Says well that is the soonest the repair shop can get to you. I have to question if they will even show up to Carlos as every other repair shop has cancelled. Then what do we go back to calling repair shops? This is insane to me. We advised the entire top of the washer is broken the plastic underneath has broken. We originally thought it was just a locking issue but no upon further review the lock, the underneath all thin plastic and lid is completely detached. It is not even connected to the washer anymore. Carolos advised he is not authorized to do anything more than add to my warranty. I asked you mean the Warranty that I seem to not be able to use now. What good is that doing me? Also, you are telling me I will need more warranty as your product is shotty at best. Carlos, also why are you the escalation team if that is all you can do?

    Maybe I am not in the norm. but I feel like more could have and should be done here. We have no guarantee of arrive of said repair shop on 9/3. So, we just wait. Fortunately, I am in a position where I can pay to go to a laundry mat, but what if I didn’t. What if I relied on Solely on this machine for school/work clothes. Does anyone else think that 3 weeks is an acceptable amount of time to be without a product, not even a year old that was not cheap to buy in the first place? Again, I am asking. I will continue to update on my LG issues. BUYER BEWARE!

    My review is for the LG Direct Drive top load washing machine. If I could give this machine Zero stars I would. This machine has no agitator. Your clothes DO NOT come out clean. In fact, the opposite. If you have jeans that are dirty or whites that you wash together they always come out with dirt left on them. A lot of our clothes have been wrecked because of the lack of deep cleaning this machine has. The washing machine does not put enough water in it when you have even half a load so there are spots on your clothes that have gone through a complete normal cycle and aren't even wet. I find I have to use this machine on Heavy duty or Deep Wash to even get all the clothes wet. I regularly clean my appliances and don't overfill them with laundry. I would NOT waste your money on this machine. By the time we hooked it up and started to figure this out I could no longer return it or I would have!

    This set is literally the biggest pile of steaming garbage. The washer constantly gets stuck in the rinse cycle and my wife's hair dryer would do a better job drying clothes. The dryer also routinely pops up with error codes. Both washer and dryer are trash, do not buy!!

    Worst washer ever! Does not cover the clothes with water even on deep water wash & extra rinse. Clothes come out with large dry patches & still dirty after an hour of running. All cycles run an hour or more. I feel like my money was stolen when I bought LG. Would have been happy to spend more money & get my old machine repaired instead of buying LG. Purchased 2024.

    Do not buy. The lettering on the washer indicating the type of wash is fading after just 2 months. When I notified LG they told me too bad, so sad not their problem. LG response was that it can be caused by harsh cleaners and environmental conditions. OMG. What caused the problem was a very small amount of detergent accidentally spilled on the lettering. Guess what? It's a washer where detergent is used. Bad machine. Bad customer service.

    If you could give less than 1 star that is what I would give to LG. To anyone buying a washing machine, never buy an LG! The product is overpriced. The technology of the new ThinQ front load washer that we purchased for our new home, does not work. The customer services has been horrible, we moved into our new home in June and it is now the end of July and we are going to the laundromat. It is a complete circus with their service department, they sent someone out and they service rep stated that they need to order a new computer. We received an email that they would have it fixed ASAP. That was 4 weeks ago.

    Talking with customer services, they continue to send us to other departments. Why because no one knows what to do. The machine is brand new... I asked for a replacement machine. Oh, they cannot do that... I have now contacted an attorney to help us get our washer machine fixed, the cost was over 1k for a machine, and we were told the best on the market. What a joke...

    I have had many washers over the years, top loaders and front loaders. I splurged to get a super heavy duty machine that I can clean my bedding in, only to find out it will not even get them wet enough to say they have been washed! My husband added a hose with spicket so that I can add enough water to wet my laundry! I have to say this is the worse machine I have ever owned. True, it uses less water, however the clothes do not come out clean, or even wet! Tide soap pods that I have used for years and never had an issue with, are not even dissolved! When I wash anything heavy like bedding or blankets. It is a disaster. Completely dry in the middle and on top center area! I will never buy a Smart washer again! I like my clothes clean and have them spin dried so that I can dry them in my dry in one setting. Do not buy an LG H.E. Washer!!

    Pretty much after my 5 year warranty ran out, the paint on the front of my front load washer bubbled and peeled off. I called LG customer service. Man, I have never dealt with such rude Asians! They were steadfast on not helping/covering (their) defective paint job. They weren't concerned at all about the now ugly appearance of their product. When I explained that I would write this negative review, they said "go ahead, it's your prerogative". So now I have a washer that has the appearance of a piece of s**t. Nice job LG! I will stick with American, lesson learned. PS, don't know why your defective paint job needs to fall under warranty. Because there is no wear and tear on the paint shows that you should fix your defect; warranty doesn't come into play in this instance.

    Both washer and dryer worked perfectly in the beginning. I’ve had to call for service on the dryer three times now. Thank God I have a warranty. The screen turns off. It turns on in the middle of cycles. Sometimes it just turns off and on in the middle of the night, the washing machine does not have a agitator going up the middle. There is no filter to pull out and clean, it leaves a musty smell on our clothes. We have cleaned with vinegar. We have cleaned with bleach. We have cleaned with the tablets. We have gone down to a teaspoon of soap Per load. The warranty does not cover this. I will going forward only by the older style washer and dryers with knobs instead of a digital screen.

    Purchased a model number WT7600HWA in 2018. Bought the extended warranty from Best Buy. Rust has appeared around the top rim of the frame. Warranty doesn't cover it, Best Buy won't stand by it, LG won't stand by it. Seven year old washing machine with rust. I guess they don't build them like they used to.

    Do the Executives at LG have their washers and driers in their homes? I doubt it. Like Ford Motor Company executives they likely use other better products. LG is not an inexpensive product, but it's no BMW or Mercedes either. I am being kind, because what I really want to say is don't bother buying an LG Washer or Dryer. The installation of the product is ridiculous and the performance is worse. I've had other washer and dryers and never needed a repairman but these LG products are a husband's nightmare. They break and LG does not offer any manuals. And the LG repairmen haven't got a clue... "It must be defective" (After 2 years and three repairman visits?)

    My fronter load washing machine has been wonderful for 11 years. I recently called LG to get a list of repair people in my area and the agent told me my machine was very old. It was too old for any LG technicians to service it. The warranty on the Direct Drive Motor is 10 years. Are they just hoping other parts good out before they have deal with a 10 year warranty on a part. The LG rep that I talked to gave me names of repair companies that were not even in the state I live in. After a few minutes he started giving me names of repair companies that have been reported to the BBB for their bad service. The one star is for the direct customer service I received from LG. Need to buy a new washer/dryer combo now and dishwasher and they will NOT be LG. LG used to be a great brand. So sad that this brand is no longer what it used to be.

    Paid for washer 5/11/2024, had to wait till 6/5/2024 for deliver, Model WT6100CW, was happy with this machine, have had LG washer and dryers for the last 10 years, first time I had to replace either. So I figured hey the last washer lasted 10 years, so go with LG again. We have been out of town for over a month due to a family emergency, got home late last night, wanted to do laundry this morning, and the lid will not lock, which means washer will not work. Called Customer service only to be told the warranty starts when you PAY for machine not when it is installed.

    I thought a company such as this one, would honor the warranty since it is not that far out of warranty just by a few days maybe weeks. But no. So I am more than disappointed not so much in the actual machine, but LG the company. I can tell you that GE would bend over backwards for their customers and would do right by the customer in this type of situation. So I will just go out and buy a GE washer this week, and chuck this just a few weeks over a year old to the curb.

    LG Ignoring $300 “Buy More, Save More” Rebate – No Accountability After 14+ Attempts. I purchased three qualifying LG appliances directly from LG.com under their “Buy More, Save More” promotion. The deal clearly advertised a $300 rebate when buying three eligible items — which I did. However, the rebate was not applied at checkout, and despite contacting LG immediately, the issue remains unresolved after more than 14 attempts over phone and email.

    Here’s what happened: I contacted Customer Service: they told me to contact LGOffers. LGOffers told me to talk to the Claims Department. Claims said the rebate "should have been applied at checkout" and refused to help. I went back to Customer Service, who either disconnected the call or refused to escalate to a supervisor. Every time I call, I’m told “we’ve emailed them and are waiting on a response.” Nothing happens.

    To make matters worse, the WashTower I purchased was not installed on delivery because the driver showed up alone and left it behind. Installation was delayed nearly three weeks after delivery. This rebate was a deciding factor in why I chose to buy directly from LG instead of a local store. Instead of honoring their promotion, LG has given me nothing but runaround, refusal to escalate, and complete silence to my emails. I’ve tried for weeks to resolve this privately and professionally. I’ve now filed complaints with the BBB and FTC, and I’m sharing this publicly so others are aware. If LG truly values its customers, someone should take ownership, honor the rebate, and prevent other customers from being put through this frustrating experience.

    This washer doesn't fill up with enough water so I have to manually add some every time to cover the clothes. The high speed spin does not take enough water out of the load, so I have to do an extra spin. You will ruin your dryer if you don't do this. I can use the "bedding" choice if I have a bigger load. I measured 3 1/2 cups of water from a load of towels with that extra spin & up to 2 cups from other washes. The tub is too deep which would be problem for shorter women. The rinse cycle is lame leaving the laundry to feel like all the soap is not out. The washer shakes even though I was told it was level & the loads take too long. It will cost you more in time & aggravation!

    Bought an LG front load washer at home depot. It's "junk". It does not cycle correctly, it don't drain properly, leaves cloths soaking wet, because spin cycle is worthless!! Should have kept and repaired our great GE front load washer!! It lasted 15 years! Folks Don't buy any lg brand washers. They belong in the trash!! Heed my warning! I'm an electrical engineer. Lg won't repair it. Home depot is just as bad. We reported lg and home depot for consumer" fraud to our state attorney general's office. If you bought lg washer from 2012-2025. You will get a refund from the class action settlement: ask your attorneys.. How to collect $900.

    This company and their repair guys stink! A week ago a repair guy told me the control board on my 8 month old washer was bad…then this week he came to repair it and tells me cracks in it was caused by mice???? It that was the case then he wouldn’t ordered the part! I think he did something wrong and LG trying to avoid upholding their warranty! Stay away from LG - worst customer service ever! And for a control board to go faulty in 8 months is beyond ridiculous!!!! There isn’t any chewed up wires - see photo.

    LG washing machines have to be the worst products out there. We had purchased a front loader and it just kept leaking. Then we decided we would get a top loader washing machine. It barely gets anything wet and when we called customer service they said to only use one specific setting and press the add water button. There are many settings and can only use one? Plus that one setting still doesn’t get our laundry wet nor wash the laundry. We have to wash everything more than once and still doesn’t get clean! Freaking ridiculous!!

    I purchased an LG front loading dryer from Best Buy. Within a month of ownership the dryer would stop running around 2 minutes after pressing start. I thought it was just the “Heavy Duty” cycle but NOPE! It’s all of them. No problem though because of the LG warranty right?? Right?? WRONG!! If you think you’ll be able to get a repairman out to your house to fix an LG product that’s under manufacturers warranty think again because it won’t happen. For almost 12 months I tried getting someone from LG out to my townhouse to repair my new dryer. They gave me every excuse in the book NOT to show up and fix the dryer. And to think I also bought the Best Buy extended warranty. I hope they’re better than LG because LG warranty is a joke!! What’s even more disappointing is LG is doing NOTHING to make things right. They’ve got our money so service and the sale definitely doesn’t matter.

    I hate this machine. It uses so little water for the "normal" wash that the clothes don't even all get wet. I've had clothes come out just as dirty as they went in, and I have had to wash them a second time. During this cycle, long sleeve items get tied up in knots or tangled with underwear. On the bedding cycle, items just float on top of a FULL tub of water and slosh around a bit. I have had sheets come out with detergent all over them. Customer service has not been helpful. I want to return this machine, but neither Lowe's nor LG will accommodate me. This is a horrible washer.

    Please do not buy LG front load washing machine. I purchased one nearly 8 months ago and was awoken to a loud explosion. My husband thought someone broke into our home. We checked everything and never thought it would be that our washing machine glass scattered all over. It was off since early part of the week.     I purchased the LGWT6105CW 03/17/2025. I would NOT recommend it. You can not wash on normal setting as it puts in a minimal amount of water - you could spit more! The small load of clothes sat above the water for the duration. You are unable to add more water. Fast forward - customer service at LG states "the end result should be your gauge" (it is - not washed) and "do not use normal - use deep fill or speed wash for more water." Deep fill fills to the top which I do not need!! So folks I have resorted to filling a bucket 3x and adding to the washer! I would have been better off keeping my old washer. DO NOT BUY!!

    I bought a washer machine that stopped working after 4 months. I contacted LG who sent someone to fix it. He told me he had to order a part and would let me know when the part was in. After 1 month I had to contact LG again because I never heard back. All I get from LG is that they are still waiting on the part. This is a brand new machine, it should not take over 1 month to get parts. All they tell me is to be patient. I spend 800.00 on this machine and I have to go to a laundromat to wash my clothes. I have my dad with dementia and I purchased this machine so I would not have to be out with him. This is unacceptable. I will never buy LG again

    Well, this may not be novel, but I regret there is no lower rating than a 1 star. I bought a washer and a dryer from LG on January 28, 2025, and was given a delivery date of February 1. The delivery truck arrived promptly on February 1. It carried a washer. It did not carry a dryer. I was assured by the delivery team that they had notified the office etc. I allowed a few days to pass before pursuing the matter with LG customer service. It was news to them (and, on subsequent calls, also news) that, while I had paid for the appliances in full, they had delivered only a washer.

    Every four or five days I repeated the process of calling them, jumping through a series of absurd hoops just to get someone to talk with me, only to be given a story. First, they would research the matter. Then, they would have someone look in the warehouse for “my” dryer. Then, they would reach out to the delivery service. Then they would expedite delivery. When they got the delivery service on the phone for a three-way call, and the service allowed as how this was all news to them, I finally figured out that there was no way I would be receiving the dryer, and that the customer service folk were only able to parrot to me a set of excuses and apologies that constituted their script. Every story was a lie.

    I resolved the issue by having my bank reverse the charge on my credit card and buying a competitor’s system. Works great. When LG, a week or so later, figured out they weren’t getting paid and asked when they could get the washer back, I gave them one date, saying that if they couldn’t come then they could find it in my back yard. They came on the date I stipulated. In sum, a completely frustrating experience. Be smart, avoid LG.

    I bought a new washer from LG website directly few months ago with 1 year warranty. It has NOT Been working for over a month now. The repairs came several times and still cannot fix it. LG approved replacement one week ago, but there is no word from them and now they’re asking for the pictures again, but Mr. different departments etc. I spent countless hours on the phone with LG. It’s terrible service and I will post everywhere to advise people to never ever buy a machine directly from LG. The warranty that they advertise is a fraud.

    I have had my top loading - with agitator - LG washing machine for 2 years. I had a technician come up after a few months and he stated nothing was wrong with the machine. But it's pretty useless at cleaning clothes. As others have said in their reviews it doesn't add enough water even using Deep Fill.. And while it swishes the clothes around, they don't move from top to bottom. So they aren't really rubbing against each other to get clean.. The normal wash and quick wash are a joke. I would buy a new washer and sell this one but I don't feel comfortable selling this to anyone. I thought LG were great products. This washer is the worse by far-not worth a cent.

    I bought an LG washing machine. I have had it for 7 months and the lid broke on it. The service guy came out. They told him that they have not made any parts because the machine is new and they would have to replace it. LG has been giving me the run around for 2 weeks. Now I have a manufacturer warranty on it plus I paid extra for a 5 year warranty but LG refuses to get back with me. I have called them every other day. I pay 1,138 dollars for this machine plus extra for the 5 year warranty and they will not honor anything. My next step is trying to find an attorney who can help me.

    I am on a set income and LG is screwing me over. I will never ever buy another LG product. So please be aware because they will scam you out of your money and I don't have the money to go to the laundromat every week and I should not have to with a brand new washing machine but LG doesn't care about their customers. I would not recommend anything that LG makes. I am one frustrated customers.

    Worst purchase Ever!! I purchased the LG top loader Inverter Direct Drive washer and the Sensor Dry dryer in 2021. As other reviews have mentioned the washer DOES NOT fill with enough water to wet the clothes. Most of the time have to use the deep wash or Water Plus to get my clothes washed with enough water, agitator does not agitate enough to rub or pull clothes under water to clean the clothes. Dirt marks barely come out unless I put it back in for 2nd wash. Just awful!! Dryer on the other hand has worked well. Stay away from LG!!!

    Bought a large capacity top loading washer specifically so I could wash large loads. Does not give nearly enough water to clean the clothes or blankets or quilts. Tried to use the deep wash setting and keep getting horrible noises with the error that it is unbalanced. Does not matter what I do, cannot get the unbalanced issue resolved. I can only wash small loads without getting unbalanced noises and the water level is so low some clothes still have dry areas. Worst purchase I have ever made in my life. Tried talking to customer support but could hardly understand him and I felt like he wasn't really listening to my issues because he kept giving me answers and asking questions that did not fit the issue. I have had this machine just over a year and I am planning on having it hauled away as junk and will purchase a different brand that actually has a service department that I can understand. If I could rate this with zero stars I would, but that is not an option.

    I purchased a LG washer Dec. 1/24 at Leons Furniture, and haven't never been so disappointed with anything I have purchased all my life as much as I have been disappointed now. Placed numerous phone calls, went back to Leons, had a service rep. come to check it out, I have left numerous messages with June at 416-987-0541 and she never returned my calls. I did receive a call from a rep by the name Gian and he sounded very concerned about my issue, took my concern to the managers or whoever else has any authority to replace this machine for me and he called me back yesterday saying that replacement was not approved and I have to live with it no matter how much I hate it. I recommend no one purchase a LG washer. IT barely gets my laundry wet, my laundry comes out just like I put it in, and dry, especially the bed sheets. I paid $847.00 for it. My ticket No. is **.

    LG Washer and Dryer – Identical Failures!! The locking latch on my clothes washer failed recently. I called LG for service (out of warranty). Service was scheduled 3 days later and I had to pay over $400 for the repair. The repair and the service technician were fine. The next day, the locking latch on my clothes dryer failed in exactly the same way. Again, I had to pay over $400 for the repair.

    I contacted LG (the office of the President) at least 5 times to discuss this as I believe the machines either had a design or manufacturing flaw due to the identical part failing within one week. Crickets!! LG was happy to take my $800+ but had no interest in discussing this situation with me. I had been warned by several people to be wary of LG. I took the plunge anyway as the equipment met our needs exactly. I am going to purchase a large screen TV. It WILL NOT be LG. Beware of LG!! Their customer service (especially that of the office of the President) is awful!!

    Original Review: LG direct drive washer. On the "normal cycle" it only adds 2 inches of water to the tub to wash clothes. It has a "hot water" use feature that does not work. It only uses Lukewarm water no matter the selected temp. Our clothes do not get clean. We are an older couple and have owned numerous machines in our lives but this is by far the worth. It was purchased at Lowe's who refuse to let us exchange it. We have solicited ABT for a reputable Maytag machine and having this one hauled to the scrapyard. This review was not written out of hate. It was written in honesty.

    We bought our LG front load washer in 2016. Four years later and still under warranty, customer service sent a technician over to change the drain pump, charged me $150. February 14, 2025, I changed again & the next day removed and changed again because the pump worked for 1-2 loads and then it didn’t! It would make a humming noise, but wouldn’t drain the water! I haven’t called a technician or customer service, but it feels like there isn’t enough power going to the pump to allow it to work! All pumps are OEM… Now I have to decide to fix it or junk it for a more RELIABLE BRAND.😡

    Purchased washer, dryer, dishwasher, range and refrigerator in Nov. 2021 through RC Willey. I have already replaced the dishwasher. My refrigerator is taped up because the top shelf fell into the fridge. Now my washing machine is leaking. Ten days to even get someone here to look at, another three days for part. It was installed yesterday. And, my washing machine is leaking today. LG stands for Loot Grabbers. Life IS NOT GOOD with LG appliances. Save yourself a lot of anxiety, time and DO NOT PURCHASE THEM. Even if they are free, do not take them.. BTW, I have an extended warranty on all. The washing machine leak was the only one covered under the extended warranty. Then you are told there are only certain days a tech is in your area and you just have to wait. RC WILLEY AND LG WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER CENT FROM ME..

    I have had my top loading - no agitator - LG washing machine for 2.5 years. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no mechanical problems with it. But it's pretty useless at cleaning clothes. 1.     LG thinQ purchased a year ago. We travel for work and aren't home much until we had to be this year for medical reasons. The wash and dry settings will melt any synthetic material. I've lost bath mats, house slippers, caps, pants, robes, and counting. Natural fiber cotton, linen, etc is so deeply wrinkled that you can't use the item. The machine moves a foot in either direction when in use. No amount of leveling will stop it. A load of laundry takes 5 hours. It is a nightmare. I hate the machine.

    Worst washing machine I have EVER purchased - purchased it brand new. LG4.8 cu. ft. Top Load Washer in White with 4-way Agitator, NeverRust Drum and TurboDrum Technology. IT CHOOSES how much water to use - sometimes clothes at the top never even get wet. The middle agitator only turns a bit to the right-then a bit to the left. It NEVER pulls the clothes down or under. The outside tub spins…but all that's doing is wearing holes in your clothes on the outside. I have pulled clothes out of this washer DRY or…many times the detergent or dirt from other clothes are caked on in splotches to dark clothes-and I did this only filling 1/2 way with clothes. The only way to be sure your clothes get wet is there is a button to hold and press called “Deep Fill *max” … but that means I am filling the tub all the way to the top for EVERY LOAD because otherwise it figures out on its own how much water to use and its NEVER enough to wet all the clothes.

    The agitator or the tub spin has worn holes in some of my yoga leggings because the clothes NEVER MOVE; they go forward about 1 inch..then backward about 1 inch through the entire cycle! Worst $750+ bucks I ever spent. This thing is a piece of crap! I can’t even sell it to someone in good faith-because who would want it! It doesn’t DO what it was SUPPOSEDLY DESIGNED to do! FIRE YOUR ENGINEERS LG because they obviously don’t know anything about washing machines! I hope this helps someone avoid this big metal doorstop because that's all it's good for. 😞😢😡😡😡

    This has been a horrible washer. In the 2.5 we've had it, we've had to buy replacement parts, have service come in twice and now the power button/switch doesn't work. Piece of crap. Don't waste your money on LG. Just give an old "dumb" washer I can count on for decades like the products we used to be able to buy.

    We needed a new washer and dryer and went with LG as they seemed to have good reviews. This is perhaps the worst washer and dryer I have ever had to deal with. We have the LG top load washer with a central agitator. First, there is no perm-press washing selection, which I have used all the time. For the regular/normal load, it is supposed to "sense" how much is there and use the appropriate amount of water. It NEVER uses enough water. We will only fill the washer half-way or under and items will come out with spots that are entirely dry and never got wet - so they never got washed! Clothes will come up with these strange white marks all over and I'm not sure what that is; some soap scum residue?? We have to either run an additional rinse cycle or use the "deep fill" for water, which completely by-passes the whole idea of water efficiency. NOT WATER EFFICIENT -- IT IS A WATER HOG.

    We had the LG front loading washer before for a couple years and replaced that one because it just smelled like mold all the time, even when we would use their special cleaning tablets. The dryer is not great either. There are things inside that catch on your things and cause tears. NOT COOL. I don't recommend LG for washers or dryers and we will be replacing them with another brand as soon as we can.

    Well at this point I guess I don't have much to say that's good about LG washing machines. I started using LG products years ago but they have steadily declined in reliability and workmanship. I have an LG front load washer wm3400 that is less than 3 years old and I've had to have it worked on three times. This last time the rubber hose that puts water into the machine develop the hole and was leaking water all over my floor. Now I have to do floor work as well. LG would not cover this. It's obvious from looking at the hose that the hole appeared where the rubber was cut back too far. This pliable rubber should last a lifetime. Their quality control is terrible. I have put enough money into this washer to buy two more washers now and again it's less than 3 years old. I think I am done buying LG products.

    Bought this thing 6 months ago. Lasted 2 weeks and quit working. Lowe's said there is nothing we can do about it to call the LG factory. So we did. 5 months later finally sent an idiot out to fix it and he said he didn’t have the right part. Waited another month. Sstill not fixed. Can’t get any help from lg or lowes. I would stay away from Lowe’s for appliances because they don’t back you at all if you have a problem. We have spent 5 times what the washer is worth going to laundry mat. Guess should have just junked this one and bought a new of some other brand from somewhere other than lowes.

    LG WT7200CW TOP LOAD MACHINE. I bought the machine from Costco in 2018. My complaints include white marks on clothes, insufficient water level, and agitator gear stripped. LG does not support the agitator at this point although I feel like any parts that fails within seven years is a red flag. I also have LG side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, stove, dryer. Really bummed about LG Customer Service and definitely will weigh on my decision to purchase another LG product.

    I don’t know why this machine was highly rated when we bought it. It is the worst machine we’ve ever had. Of the many complaints we have, the main one is that it is over-programmed and doesn’t give the user enough control over the process. And it is very bad programming at that, leaving us at the mercy of whatever arbitrary cycle the machine goes into. For no explicable reason, it will arbitrarily and seemingly randomly do multiple rinses in which it refills way more than necessary, wasting enormous amounts of water, and risking overflows of our tub (which has happened twice). So now I have to stand by to make sure that things go smoothly, wasting my time as well as my water. I will never buy another LG product.

    I purchased an LG washing machine and dryer. I had it 5 days and had it returned. The very worst washer imaginable!! I could not get the water to cover the small load of clothes on the normal setting. I tried the big load setting. What a waste of water...not to mention it forced me to wash and rinse in warm water on the large load setting. All that to get more water to cover the clothes. Not to mention it took an hour to wash the small load of clothes!! The timer settings on the dryer forced me to chose 20, 40 and 60 minutes dry time.

    The 40 minutes wasn't quite enough time to dry the clothes and forced me to set it at 60 minutes! No 45 or even 50 minutes. With all this mess I have no idea how they claim energy efficient. Please...just give me the old school small, medium, and large load settings and cold, warm and hot water choices. I do have a brain. This forced automation is garbage! LG....totally lost a customer!

    I just had my new LG wash machine delivered and installed. Unbeknownst to me there is not a permanent press cycle on it. Regardless I have been washing clothes for 40 years on normal or gentle cycles for the most part with no issues. Now, All of my clothes looked ruined coming out of the wash as they are so permanently wrinkled. I am beside myself. I will be returning my machine to Costco and going to the laundromat until I can figure out a resolution. Any advice for me? Thank you.     I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. I purchased through Costco and relied on the quality Costco carries and endorses. Sadly disappointed. No matter what level I choose my cycle at, there is not even enough water to cover the clothes. Things come out with dirt still in the items, and sometimes even dry patches in the clothes. We are two seniors.... no filthy dirty clothes, just general laundry. The drum is nice and big, but not enough water to clearly do a good job of washing and rinsing. I try to limit my laundry soap, as items can come coated in the soap if not enough water to rinse out. I would give anything to get back my old 25 year old Maytag!

    Dirty spots on blankets from dogs' feet. Blankets come out of washer same way they went in. And towels and clothes they are always wetter than my old washer and have to dry more than 50 minutes. 60 to 80 minutes. I Don't see where these are energy-efficient. They wash in less time but things are still dirty. Dryer time now has to be extended.

    The LG smart top loader washer does not get clothes clean. It basically moves water around cleaning nothing. Old cheap washers with the center spinner in the middle are miles ahead being 30 years older. Absolute junk. 2022 manufactured with remote access from your phone.     We own a LG washing machine model WT4870CW, the washing Machine is high-quality construction and is designed and lasts very well with low maintenance to cut down far too much on the amount of water used to wash and rinse clothes. The problem is in the opinion of my wife and I, also many people using the LG washers in my area is the LG Washing Machine does not supply enough water to properly clean the clothes. Also, the washing cycle time is far too long because it does not have enough water in the tank to do a good job in a shorter time.

    About 6 months after we got the LG washing machine my wife told me that will be the last LG washing machine we get unless LG does something to resolve the low water uses. And the answer to the problem is simple, LG needs to add program to the Washing Machines that would allow the user to select to add 1 gal, 2 gals, or 3 gals of water to each wash and rinse depending on the size of the load. If LG added this water increase to their washing Machines they would keep customers that are now ready to never purchase another LG washing machine due to the low water cycles.

    Purchased a Top Load Model WT7000CW from Home Depot in August of 2023. Within 3-days of use the washer went off balance and continued doing so periodically. Several months later when opening the top lid after sitting idle for an hour or so a loud cracking sound developed, then as you can see in the pictures attached the washer started destroying our linens. Been doing wash for over 50-years and haven't changed my detergent/bleach dispensing methods, so it's definitely a malfunction in the washer. LG finally agreed to replace the entire washer at the 12-month interval and am grateful for that, although we now are attempting to be reimbursed for over $300.00 plus in linens that are destroyed. Home Depot wasn't much help if that is of any concern, but once you reach LG Management, they do seem to care so I will update my review pending our success or lack of in damage recovery as warranted.

    We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer one year ago. The washer has disgusting black something? on the rubber inside. I have tried everything and it will not come off. It is unsightly. It doesn’t drain completely every time and leaves about a gallon of water sitting in the drum after each load. The coating around the front of the dryer drum has been peeling off which started when the dryer was 6 months old.     Bought a new LG top loader washing machine with touchpad and all the bells and whistles in April of 2021. Loved it, loved how it worked. Loved everything about it. Then the start button stopped working. Easy fix? Nope. You have to replace the whole motherboard. A $500+ expense. I Tried contacting the customer service, got no reply. No help. I was told by the repairman that this is an issue with the LG touchpad, and they know it, and he was told it’s an engineering flaw, but nothing has been done about it. I do not recommend anyone buying LG if they can’t even contact me and try and work out a solution. Of course my extended warranty expired in April of 2024, and it only covered the drum so would have been useless for this problem. I am so mad. Will not buy LG products anymore.

    Black flakes and streaks on the clothing is beyond frustrating. This has happened to my sister and my niece. The flakes have ruined so many of my light colored clothing. I am diligent about once a month tub cleaning and it still happens. I sent photos and spoke with the company and it is as if this is never happened to anybody else, but you can Google and many people have complained about this. I would never purchase another LG top loader or front loader. It happens with both because I have had both. I am done with LG.

    Our 2 year old top load gear box makes a very loud noise. LG phone support without warranty prices are very high. Recommended on site repair people are not competent and also high prices.     My LG washing machine does NOT wash clothes clean. My clothes have the same stains and dirt on them when I take them out of the machine. I have even tried putting stain detergent on them before washing, but the stains are still there after washing. White socks definitely do not come clean.     I have always liked LG appliances. Not this one. The washer machine with agitator is a terrible machine. It's extra large capacity for blankets and light summer comforters. Or big loads!     Totally Angry and Disappointed. On June 24, 2024, we purchased a WT7155 CW washing machine at Lowe’s. It was delivered on June 28. On July 12, we found that there was a leak underneath the machine, leaving a large puddle on the floor after the wash cycle. We had to dry out the laundry room so as to prevent mold. On July 13, I contacted LG Customer Care to request warranty service. We had our first service call on June 24. The leak could not be located. Later that day, I discovered the leak was from the fill valve. We are now awaiting the service company to come and install a new fill valve. I have just been advised that the service company cannot be here until August 5th. As of the August 5th date, we will have been without the washing machine for 24 days.

    I have been in repeated contact with LG Customer Service, an LG "Presidential Liaison", and the president of LG USA. We were hoping to get this machine exchanged, but that is not to be. In the meantime, we are sitting here waiting and hoping to get this machine repaired. A side note: I'm 82 and my wife is 81, and it is very inconvenient, physically taxing, and expensive having to go to the laundromat twice a week. As far as machine operation, my wife, who does the laundry is VERY dissatisfied. She says that not enough water comes into the machine to even cover the clothes. She has watched an entire wash cycle and has seen that parts of the load never get submerged in the water. She has also noticed that even less water comes in during the rinse cycle. Using the "Deep Fill" function fills the entire tub. So much for water conservation. All in all, we’re very disappointed with this machine and very, very angry and disappointed with LG as a whole.

    My husband and I bought a WT7150C Washing Machine in 2023. Within about 6 months it started making a loud popping sound when opening the lid. The noise only happened first thing when opening and about 12 hours later. A technician came out but didn't repair it. I mentioned that I had looked online and others had the same problem and needed the lid to be replaced. He only blew some air in the joints of the lid and left.

    It began to make the popping sound again in a couple of weeks but was now out of warranty. I asked for someone to come out to look at the popping sound. I sent GE a video of the lid making the sound when opening. Since it had been looked at when it was still in warranty and hadn't been fixed but I was told that I would need to pay over $300 for someone to look at it. Since this seems to be a defect in the washer, it should be recalled. LG doesn't stand behind its products or its service. I do not recommend this machine nor this company!

    I purchased an Lg turbo washing machine on May 13th 2024 and have contacted Lowe's which said contact lg the manufacturer which said they couldn’t do anything because it has been over 30 days. I am very disappointed in Washing machine. You can not wash a load of towels on any of the cycles. It will not ring them out. Washing machine stays unbalanced no matter how you arrange the towels. You have to ring them out by hand. You have to wash a towel in with your other clothes. The washer leaves residue of wash powder on your clothes. I use buff city laundry detergent. Would not recommend lg to anyone. They don’t stand behind their products. My washer is two months old and I have had nothing but issues. Turns out my mother has same machine and she can’t wash towels either.

    We purchased an LG Smart Drum with Direct Drive top loading wash machine from Lowe's in 2022. The motor failed in 2024 after less than two years of use. There are stickers all over this thing about the '10 year' warranty. Let's hope you don't need it. Here's what happens when you do. It takes forever to get service from somebody who can barely speak English. Second, you have to provide LG a credit card number to cover labor costs. That's right - ONLY the part is under warranty - not labor. Third, you have to wait forever to get service. Stay away - complete garbage that has a near useless and very misleading warranty.

    I bought a washer and dryer, a nice set for almost 4000$ with base and small washer under the big washer. I am really disappointed from Lg, new washer doesn’t show the time on the screen until the cycle starts. My clothes doesn’t smell like I washed it and it doesn’t look like it’s very clean, other washer better in cleaning and smelling! The small washer keeps doing voices and doesn’t continue the cycle, it stopped more than 3 times in 1 cycle! I keep pushing start to continue!!     6 months, that is how long we had our $1000 washer machine until it decided to fail. Purchased from Lowe's in December and it decided to fail by June. It developed a terrible leak and a grinding noise during the rinse cycle. Figured, “Hey, things happen, and it’s under warranty and LG is a big popular brand that should stand behind their brand” (spoiler, I was wrong). Called the LG warranty line and they set up an appointment for the next week. OK, we can survive a week. Got an automated notice that my appointment was pushed 2 more weeks right in the middle of a pre planned vacation. Called them and they explained that they were preordering the parts needed based on my description of the issue and it could be 10 days for the parts to come in. Makes sense (wish they had ordered the parts the week before but ok…).

    Fast forward 2 weeks and we cut our vacation early to be home for the appointment. Then we get a call 2 hrs before the scheduled arrival time telling us our appointment was pushed 3 more weeks!! So 6 weeks (hopefully) for a repair to a washer that failed after 6 months. Between the product quality and customer service it is difficult to tell which is more lacking! Avoid this one, this is not the LG of old and they seem to have really fallen off in both categories.

    I have purchased this LG washing machines in May 18, 2024. Bought this machine from Lowe’s in New Carrolton MD few days after I bought the machine is not working properly. Not sure but I proceed to do laundry as usual. I had a bathroom rug I placed it in the machine it not spinning the rug. So I called Lowe’s, they proceeded to say they are not responsible. I needed to call LG since I didn’t take the extended warranty.

Finally the technician came today and state the I cannot wash my bathroom rugg in the machine. Every machine I have there was no problem washing a bathroom rug but he stated the rug is too heavy with the. This is a small rug for the bathroom. The LG washer machine is faulty and needs to be on the market to sell to consumers. I am so disappointed with the machine I bought from LG.     I am on my third LG washing machine. I am building a bone yard of them. Each one has lasted about one year. Within that one year I need to replace the water valves a couple times. Luckily I can do the work myself however still such a pain in the butt. I have been in my house for years and had an another brand last for about 15 years with no issues. I decided to upgrade and spend the money on new LGs and that was a giant mistake. I even gave away my old ones for this nightmare brand. DO NOT BUY an LG washing machine.     Worked fine until it decided not to wash blankets anymore, or maybe it will. Depends on how it feels that day. On its bad days, which have become MANY, it washes them over and over and over again, never getting to the spin cycle. I only wash one blanket at a time, and it still all-of-the-sudden can't handle it. Our water usage has increased so much, or utility company sent us a letter asking if we might have a water leak! I try to intervene before its starts the whole cycle again by putting on spin but the sensor overrides it. I have RC Willey's extended warranty, but without a technician witnessing this, which they won't do because they'd have to sit through a cycle, and as I said, sometimes the machine will be fine, RC Willey doesn't care. I will NEVER buy another LG, and certainly won't buy from RC Willey again.

    Purchased two sets of front loader washers and dryers for a total of 4 units directly through LG online. After months of using I noticed a lot of my clothing and blankets were being "burned" or melted with grill marks on them. After I did research online and pulled out my dryers from their cabinet, I come to find out that the installer hooked up the dryers without the orifice to convert gas to liquid propane!!! This is a huge fire hazard! I have spent hours and days on the phone with customer service, and still have not had it fixed or anyone from LG held accountable. They sent out a technician the next day who had no idea what he was doing and then they sent me a bill for his time. It's laughable!!! No one has followed up with me. The worst customer service ever! I will never buy from them again. I am stuck with thousands of $ of damage and unable to use my dryers until it's fixed.

    We purchased the LG washer 3 years ago and got the warranty. It started leaking out the back side so I called the warranty department and got on the list to fix it (not an easy thing to go through - lots of strings attached to this). Contracted group came out after three days and said it was fixed. After two loads began leaking again. Called again and the warranty department said that they needed another claim so the people could come again - two days pass and we get a drain pump at the house and the contractor calls and says waiting for the warranty department to get the number.

    Long story short - the contractor did not come and the warranty department basically said that they would send a check to replace the washer. So I am out a washing machine for three weeks and we get a new one. Why is a washing machine leaking out after three years? Why is the warranty department a pain to work with - why get the warranty?? All questions that I should not have to ask nor deal with what I have dealt with. Totally piece of junk as far as I am concerned.

    Please do not buy from this company. Their motto "Life Is Good" is not true for the LG customer. I have several CNN numbers from them and nothing has been resolved. They referred me to a local LG representative and they are no better. They kept my money, because the item that was needed was defective and they told me that if I waited longer to request the control knob they would have to charge for another service call. It has been more than a month and I keep getting the run around. The President complaint online email is a fake because I emailed my complaint, after several calls to the complaint department and several CNN numbers given to me by LG representatives, and I am still waiting for a response. Again, don't waste your money on this company because "Life is not good" for the consumer.

    Beware of misleading advertising: the advertised 10 Year Warranty only applies to the motor and the weak link is the computer board! We bought a LG top-loading washer 4.5 years ago (Model #WT7100CW) and it now works only intermittently due to an apparent malfunction in the computer board. At times it won't come on at all and we never know if it's going to work on any particular day. Unplugging it and plugging it back in doesn't fix the problem. This washing machine comes with LG's Smart Diagnosis feature so we tried to connect it to the wireless network using the instructions on the LG app.

    After hours of attempts it wasn't possible to connect; the LG Helpline wasn't any help at all, they only send you around in circles and waste your time. The extra complexity of a Smart Washing Machine is a waste of money and it's clear that the computer board is of poor quality since LG doesn't stand behind it with a guarantee. We will need to get another washer and this one will likely end up in a landfill! We'll never purchase an LG washer again.

    We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer in 2007. Over the years we have had to do a few repairs, but we noticed that every once in a while we would get some water running out the left corner of washer. It didn't happen all the time, just sporadic and a small amount, so we didn't think much about it. The last couple of weeks we noticed more water and it was more frequent. Being out of warranty we decided to disassemble the washer and pull the front panel. After quite a bit of searching we finally found the problem.

    It appears when the washer was manufactured, one of the hoses that runs down the left side of the front panel had been pierced by one of the panel screws. There was a zip tie that was place to hold the hose where the screw was and when they cinched it down it put a tiny hole in the line. I don't understand how something as simple as routing a hose could be place right over a sharp pointed screw. LG needs to be more vigilant on quality control apparently. I'm sure there are others that have put up with this same issue, so hopefully this will help someone else. Obviously our next purchase Will not be an LG.

    I do not have any other experience with a combo machine, this LG is a big ticket item and I still feel the need to buy a dryer. It spinds the clothes so hard that it puts permanent wrinkles in them, even when on a lesser spin cycle (make friends with a good iron setup) it takes an average of 3 + hours to finish and you better be there to remove clothes when it turns off or dry clothes seem to get damp if left even 10 min after it stops, reabsorbs moisture from someplace in machine? It stinks while drying the clothes, I thought it would wear off but does not.

    It has a high-pitched squeal when drying. If I can say anything nice, It's a good-looking machine. I would venture to say it's a good idea that was not perfected before hitting the market. Don't waste your cash and just buy a regular washer dryer from LG. IMHO I did not upload my receipt as requested because I moved and have not found my folder with receipts yet, I welcome a phone call from Consumer Affairs.

    The worst ever. The top rusted out within 18 months. The bleach cup ruins loads of laundry (while rusting). The laundry HAS TO be tumbled to remove the lint the machine leaves on it. 'Warm' is sometimes ice cold (even with the cold valve extremely restricted). The computer and controls are worthless: Can't get water level right (the lint residue); 'Extra water' button in unpredictable, sometimes, literally adding 5 seconds of cold water (perhaps one pint); Subsequent 'water plus' commands again miss, or fill the thing to near overflowing; If you 'pause' so you can manually add diluted bleach water (to get the correct water level and non-damaging 'diluted' bleach) it powers down with no way to 'resume' and therefore it pumps out all your correctly, manually added water, detergent and bleach.

    I remember putting in a major motor component (stator?) and, of course, a new metal top. Today it complained about a "dr" error, no buttons would do anything, not even power. "Dr" is not on the quick reference card and while I was looking for the manual it, again, decided to pump out all my water, detergent and bleach and the only way to stop it was to literally pull the plug so my laundry could soak a while (before wasting all that water, detergent, bleach). I CANNOT WAIT to NOT BUY any LG products ever again.

    We purchased our LG top loader and have not been happy with it from day one. This machine does not have an agitator and we find at the end of a complete cycle there are dry patches on some items and other items still have detergent on them. We do not overfill the machine ever. Suggest do not buy a machine that does not have an agitator no matter what the salesman tells you.

    This wash machine is fantastic, UNTIL it isn’t.

    Pros:

    Its size is impressive! It allows you to clean your large comforters and rugs with ease.

    It’s very user friendly.

    It cleans your articles effectively.

    It provides you the option of running a quick load.

    Cons:

    The biggest con is that it will most definitely rust out around the bleach dispenser. We have had 2 of these machines and BOTH of them have rusted out in the exact same place - and both within 2 years of operation. This unfortunately renders the machine useless, especially to clean white articles. Use of the bleach dispenser in any manner will result in rust spots staining the articles being washed.

    Water remains in the soap/softener dispenser, and must be emptied after every load.

    In order for the machine to adequately fill with water, you must use the bedding setting. Otherwise the fill level does not rise above the articles completely.

    LG front load washer purchased on a Wednesday, install on Saturday. After only five days and less than ten loads, washer stopped draining the following Wednesday. HomeDepot won't accept return or replace since it's more than 48 hours. Called LG support and they were extremely unhelpful. Took three phone calls running through the same steps (and manually draining the washer into a bucket each time) before they decided to send out a technician who said the electrical was faulty and main board needed to be replaced. Contacted LG again for a replacement machine since this one is brand new and broken and was told they won't refund or replace, only repair. So now I'm waiting to hear from the repair company on when parts arrive. Should not need major repairs after less than ten loads of laundry. Would NOT recommend based on poor quality and extremely poor customer service.

    This machine leaks. It seems to leak after every 3 loads. I had the repair man out 3 times. I was told too much soap which can cause leaking. I have to measure a tablespoon of soap and buy soap with no suds. Which I have done. I also tub clean after three washes. Still leaks. My clothes do not come out clean. The machine has a vent in back which I have seen clear water shooting out of. This is a Thin Q front loader. To all Canadians and Americans do not buy!!!!     I have been pleased with the job this washer does - when it works. However, I have had continuous problems with the power button. After a few repairs at $200 each and each time the repairman said it was the circuit board, but replacements are hard to come by. I guess that is due to difficulties in getting anything from China these days ---and, yet, that is where manufacturers choose to have their products built. The cost of the repairs so far would have paid for a new washer. So, before wasting any more funds on a washer that breaks down regularly, I guess it is time to get a new one.

    Our previous washer was one that my Mom had purchased in the 1970s. It lasted forever without any problems until it finally died (Maytag, back when that meant something). Can't say the same for any of the newer products on the market. They charge a fortune and expect the customer to be happy with appliances that have to be replaced every 3-5 years. I'll step off the soapbox now....

I read the reviews on this unit, and saw that there were some installation problems that caused leaks. I literally printed out one of the reviews and showed it to the installation guys. They said they knew about it, and they knew how to install it. I'm doing my third load, and it's LEAKING ON THE FLOOR OF MY CONDO, and if it leaks into units below, it will cause thousands in damage.

    Bought all new appliances for new build 2021, my biggest complaint is their washer and dryer. I have had 2 front loaders in my 40 years, never a problem and now that I bought LG I regret it very much! At first the washer has always a smell then we noticed mould in rubber and yes door always left open, I drain once a month and wipe down excess water but noticed inside was getting a bit black. Called the company and because it had been 6 months nothing. Plus the nearest service was 2 hours away and won’t come here!! All the other service people say, "Oh no, LG, sorry, we won’t touch them!!" Ridiculous and I don’t even want to say about dryer. Just complete crap! Thought we would retire with these products.     Buyers beware if you are trying to purchase an LG washer and dryer. We had purchased a LG washer and dryer. The LG washer and dryer was installed by Home Depot. The problems with the washing machine didn’t start till three or four days later, after the Home Depot installation. We did not know there was a 48 hour return policy. We talk to Home Depot and LG service department to no avail. The first problem we had lg sent out a service man and the problem was corrected. Since then we have had a multitude of problems with this washing machine. When different error messages appears we try to troubleshoot the problem. Doing the spin cycle the machine stops spinning. The washing machine starts making a very loud screeching and unbearable noise. It is so aggravating we have to stop the machine, try readjust setting, go to owners manual and we still have to start machine over which results in using and wasting more water and longer wash time.

    We shouldn’t be doing any of this. I have become a babysitter for this washing machine. I am afraid to leave the laundry room while the washing machine is on. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of this expensive machine. This is supposed to be a high efficiency model and use less water. This machine was poorly designed. I would not recommend This LG model washing machine! So buyers take To heart these reviews and don’t buy LG products.

    I had an old Whirlpool that failed on me after more than 30 years of service. I bought high capacity LG washer with an agitator.     I received this machine on Sept 20, 2023. Within a month of having this machine the start button wouldn't work. They finally sent a repair person on Dec. 6th. They couldn't fix the machine because they had to order parts but the parts never came. They said they were unavailable and on back order and cancelled our appointment to fix the machine. Paid $1000 for a machine that won't start and customer service representatives that can't tell us where or if there are available parts.

    Called multiple times and given a runaround, finally after getting angry, told this would be on escalation and supervisor would call back in 24 to 48 hours and no one called back after 4 days. Called again and they said they'd have a supervisor call that day. Again didn't call back. Finally called back angry today and the girl said she would get a supervisor but hung up on me instead.

    Called back again, got another run and told they didn't know if parts were avail and when they would be sent. On phone over 40 min before they would finally let me talk to a supervisor. I told finally got a supervisor that said he would have to contact service reps but they are closed. Said he couldn't help me because he didn't know what parts were ordered but they were on the email that their people sent me. Then he said after 60 min on the phone they'd send parts tomorrow and after they come we can call back and they'll send a repairman (took 2 weeks for them to come the first time and now it's been almost 2 additional weeks). The customer service has been horrible. After calling at least 10 times, probably more, and on hold for 30 to 50 min each time, they finally "say" they are sending the parts. Brand new machine - broken - parts on back order- horrible customer service!

    I purchased their 2021 LG model washer machine and dryer. I'm now starting to have issues after 2 years. My washer is LEAKING now and my gasket is full mold as well. I have done everything possible to maintain it with proper maintenance myself, but it's clearly a defect with these models and NOT the consumer's fault. I tried to get this fixed and I have to pay out of pocket for their service as their warranty does not exist. I paid for $5000 for appliances and they won't honor warranty. I do not recommend their products or service and for the price you pay I expected better from them. I'm extremely disappointed in the quality and in customer service support. It's very clear all they care about is your money and after you're nothing to them. Please take your business elsewhere for better quality and service. They don't value or appreciate your business.

    Horrendous customer service and product! I bought a washer in April. It leaked in July and again in Sept. It only leaks once in a while. By Sept I scheduled a repair service. Tech came and couldn't find any leaks or anything wrong. He stated that I was using too much detergent. Not sure how that is causing leaks...I'm only using up to the first line on the cap. He recommended to use half of the first line and use the tub cleaner weekly. Whatever so I tried what he said. In Oct. it leaked again. Same tech guy came out and said the same thing...less detergent and tub clean weekly for about a month. He even guarantees that if I do that for a month, it will solve the issue. I did what he suggested for 2 months...It leaked few times.

    By Dec., I called and got the runaround...transferred from agent to agent, got put on hold and got disconnected. Called again to speak to supervisor, agent stated that they don't have supervisors and transfer me to a different department and got disconnected. I called next day, this agent stated that they have supervisor and that I need to schedule repair appointment one more time before they can give me an alternative solution. 3rd repair appointment, same tech guy saying the same thing...that I'm using too much detergent. This is so ridiculous! This washer should be named "no detergent washer"! Not even sure what to do anymore. This is so frustrating...I'll never buy LG products again!

    I bought my top loading machine at Best Buy. I was concerned that it did not have an agitator, after have a Magtag, with an agitator, for 20 years, but the sales person convinced me that it was the best selling machine. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!! It does not wash your clothes at all. Best Buy gives you 30 days to return the machine but honestly, how many washes are you going to do in 30 days, using all the cycles?! The machine leaves lint on the dark clothes, white or light colored clothes still have stains and sheets are beyond wrinkled.

    I have to put the machine on pause and scrub the clothes by hand to try and remove as much dirt as I can. I've often found myself taking already "washed" clothes to the laundromat to wash them again. After almost a year of having this machine, I am ready to throw this machine out the window and buy a machine from company that specializes in only washing machines. And before you ask, yes, I did call customer service and they were no help. I simply HATE this machine and cry each time I think about the money wasted.

    I can echo previous reviews. The machine does not fill with enough water to wash thoroughly. It leaves a lot of residue in streaks which should have been rinsed out with the too little water. When a tech came out, he didn't even stay to see the problem in reality. It was 5 o'clock and he left. No followup from anyone. I would rather sit it on the curb for the trash man to take. Don't buy anything made by LG. They do not stand behind their product and they do not care about their consumers' satisfaction.

    We've had this machine for many years. It was advertised as water saving and power saving. However, if it can't balance itself, it has to run for hours, with manual intervention, before it finally finishes. Or we have to pull out wet clothes so it will finish, then run the second batch in its own load. It's very annoying.

    The washer is being used for about 6 month. Very little and already had given me problems with spinning. It gets stuck and not spinning to the end so the clothes are still very wet. Called customer service and they tried to help with so many options and I have tried them all. It’s been a nightmare, waste of time and money. I will never buy or recommend any LG product to anyone.     I have had this washing machine for approximately 2 months and it recently started not draining the water out or when it does the pump makes it awful racket. I have spent three maybe four hours speaking to different customer care Representatives going thru the same troubleshooting steps without success. I have asked for a repair tech, however I keep getting the runaround by reps who speak down to me. I have also been hung up on and I called back only to be disappointed by a recording that customer care is closed. I have gone online trying to request a repair man but I keep being redirected to the sign in page. It's a catch 22. They do not want to send a repairman. This is ridiculous and I will never buy another LG product again.

    I had to use money saved to purchase Christmas gifts for my family on this machine instead only to be very disappointed. Thanks, LG. Right now I have a broken washing machine with a pile of dirty clothes and I have to say life is not good in this respect. I would love to have given this product a negative star rating but I had to choose at least one star in order to leave this review. Do yourself a favor and stay away from any of their products. If by chance you have to call customer care I suggest going to your primary care physician first for anxiety meds because you will probably need them when dealing with the care staff.

    I have socks disappeared more than once in the LG front open washing machines. These Korean washing machines leave people a good impression at the very beginning. They look modern and pretend to be smart. But after using for a while, you find either the machine leaves the clothes still dirty, or you have small stuff like socks gone after running the washing machine. That is a major design defect. Just sticking a small notice asking people to use washing bag is not enough! You need to give washing bags to customers at the time they purchase the washing machine, if the washing bag is a necessity.

    Although these small items don't worth much money, they become a hazard after being caught inside the machine and there is no way to take those socks out unless you pay for calling a mechanist. I once have a thin long lace being caught in the roller. It's 1 meter long and I can't imagine what will happen. I didn't realize the importance of the washing bag until this happened. Again, this is a stupid design. Asking customers to pay attention is not a good idea, people tend to love simple machines that don't require too much thinking.

    As far as so am concerned they lied about what they would do. My complaint was filed on 9/28 and I thought we were set and when the Appliance company called to see where the control panel was they said they weren’t going to cover it. I would say this certainly being dishonest and I found out on 10-10. I am one upset consumer and hope this helps someone out when they want to purchase LG. I also don’t liked their customer service. They want to troubleshoot everything by phone even when you tell them the machine isn’t working at all. When I requested to speak to a supervisor I was denied. Not a company I will ever feel comfortable with again.

    We purchased a Ventless LG Wash Tower on 9/26/2023 directly through LG. The delivery and set up date that LG gave us was 10/02/2023. On the morning of 10/02/2023, we had not received any notification as to when we would be receiving our order so I reached out to LG. After being on hold forever and then getting a runaround I was told that it would be delivered in over a month on 11/06/2023. This was of course unacceptable so I asked to speak with a manager. I was told that a manager would get back to me in 48 to 72 hours. That also was unacceptable and I let the LG representative know that and asked again to speak with her supervisor or a manager and was told that that is not the way LG works and that they will get back to me when they are able.

    My wife then tried to get in touch with LG customer care and also was on hold forever and given the runaround and when finally she did get in touch with someone was told the same thing. They will get back to us when convenient for them. LG does not care about its customers or about service. It is all about them and their customers be damned. I work in the real estate business and will make sure all my clients know about my experiences with LG and warn them away from purchasing LG products.

    Purchased an LG washing machine several years ago that had a 10 year warranty sticker right on the front. After only a few years, a key component failed that should have been covered. Contacted LG customer service multiple times, but they refused to fully cover the repair costs as required by the warranty and my state's consumer laws. Apparently the warranty only covers parts, not labor, after the first year according to LG's internal policies. However, the prominent 10 year warranty sticker led me to believe it would cover repairs for that advertised period. The contradiction between the marketing and fine print in a manual you never read may be very misleading.

    In the end, LG's refusal to abide by the warranty terms left me forced to purchase a whole new replacement appliance long before I should have needed to. It was an extremely frustrating situation as a previously loyal customer. Buyers BEWARE - the warranties might not provide the coverage you expect. Pro Tip: It’s a smart idea to OPT OUT of the forced arbitration to protect your rights!

    I've owned my LG washer for four years, currently repairing for a second time. Spending $150 on a single part for repair and it is the same part that broke the first time. NEVER again will there be another LG washer in this home! The dryer is ok. It does sense dry which doesn't always dry items completely. The washer is definitely overrated. I was told labor charges weren't covered even though the parts had a 10 year warranty, but they would only send these parts to a “technician”... Doesn't make sense to me. If the part is covered, the labor to fix it should be too!

    Anyway, LG didn't care about their obligations under California's consumer protection laws, or ethical business practices for that matter. After getting nowhere with customer service, even through their “Presidential Liaison Team” - I was forced to buy a new washer, long before I should have needed one. LG got my money but provided terrible obsolete warranty coverage in return. Don't believe the marketing (or the stickers on machines!) about "reliability" and long warranties - the warranties are meaningless based on my experience. I found no integrity at LG!

    Bought this machine in 2016 and in 11/2019 came out and replaced the gasket on the front loader which was leaking and mildew problem. Same leak started three weeks ago and water on floor from underneath leak.. Call for service and they tried to ambush me on a credit card. The previous service $147.79. This time they required a $350 credit card payment prior to even coming out which will be at least this amount they said even if a $175 job.... I said no way! Bought a Ge outright from Home depot. Works great....

    So, I needed a new washing machine and my partner said to get an LG, so I got an LG, this model and what it does is beyond belief. I've bought washing machines for many years and what do they do? They spin and roll, that's it! What about the size of the load? How does the machine know what the length of the cycle should be based on the actual size of the load? All questions that are a guess for the machine and the result is that your clothes don't get clean plain and simple! This machine measures the size of the load before determining the wash cycle time and you can customize the wash cycle with additional options! Even better, the machine does a gentle wash forward and reverse to make sure that your clothes get really clean! This is the best machine ever, thank you LG from JG!

    Within 2 yrs I had severe molding on my gasket, even though I wiped the door and kept it open after runs. The mold was really bad and kept getting worse. I called COSTCO for help and they were the first ones to tell me mold on the door is cosmetic. I have been trying to remove this mold with bleach and whatnot and imagine the harm it can do to my loved ones using the machine. So, I tried LG and the customer service was worse. First, there is no way to connect with LG customer service for washing machines.

    The automated system does not work for washing machines. I circumvented by saying I had refrigerator issues and then got the help! When I did get to speak with someone, I was told I have not been maintaining and there is no help possible. The person was Moji and he was not helpful at all. I asked for an explanation and none was given. I wanted to give feedback on my experience and options changed!! No feedback was taken. STAY AWAY FROM THESE MACHINES. THEY ARE NO GOOD. My previous machine lasted me over 20 yrs and not one day of mold.

    I purchased an LG washer model WT7400CW on April 15, 2023. It is just over 4 months old and it already needs a new pump/motor. The repairman that came out was awesome. He explained the problem and ordered the part to be shipped directly to my home. However, I now have to wait over a week for the part to be received and installed which means almost 2 weeks of laundromat service. I was told by LG that 3 repairs over a 90 day period would be necessary before we can receive a refund or new machine. I paid $900 plus the cost of an extended warranty for a machine that lasted 4 1/2 months. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG washer, don't waste your time or money.     Washer WM3360hvca came with the house we bought 4 years ago. It has given us a lot of issues (from excessive mold to malfunctioning drains), but last week the control panel just stopped working. You can still hear the machine turning on, but you can't see any lights or indicators. I figured I'd just replace the panel and/or circuit board, but it turns out the parts are discontinued.

    When trying to find someone to have a look at it things got much worse: no one picks up at their "customer service" line, and when they do they simply give you numbers of nearby repair shops, NONE of which services LG anymore because "they make such a crappy product and there are never parts available". We had a similar experience last year with our fridge. Ended up replacing both. Fellow consumer: BEWARE! Their products look sleek and super high-tech, but they are absolute junk. You may get lucky and buy one that works for a bit longer, but the most likely scenario is that you will soon regret purchasing LG products.

    I bought a Thinq stackable washer & dryer last November for my upstairs apartment. It was fine for a couple of months then started vibrating. It now vibrates so excessively that things fall off the wall and the doors on my cabinets and bedroom furniture open. They tell me nothing is wrong with the washer and that it's because it's on the 2nd floor. I have never heard that you cannot put a washer on the 2nd floor. Their resolution was to offer me $150. I see this as a insult and very poor customer service.

    I replaced my GE washer and dryer with the LG Wash Tower. The new system is a one piece unit with the washer on bottom and the dryer on top. All of the controls are in the center making it easy to reach. The unit sits on the floor so it is not too tall for me to load the dryer. Although I do have to bend down to unload the washer.

    With the LG Wash Tower as I am able to wash large loads, blankets and smaller rugs. The unit is quiet and uses less water than the previous dryer. There are several wash settings which automatically select the temp, time and amount of water but you can also manually set it as you want it. The detergent must be he. Four compartments are labeled; detergent, bleach, prewash, fabric softener. When you are done washing you have to wipe down the inside glass and the rubber seal and leave the door open to allow it to air dry. If not, over time, signs of mildew will appear.

    The dryer is extremely quiet as is the washer. There is a buzzer to notify you when the cycle is complete or if something is wrong. Using the Bluetooth app will send information to your phone; status of the load, time to wash the dryer filter, time to sanitize the wash tub drum, error codes, etc. In the app you can also start the system. The LG Wash Tower is a black stainless steel which matches my kitchen appliances making it the perfect addition to my home.

    I recently purchased a brand new washing machine delivered to me one week ago. LG told me they cannot send a repairman to my address because I live down a county road where my address is. So they do not stand behind their manufacture warranty and I also purchased a 3 year plan.     We bought this LG washing machine 2 years ago. Have had no problems until now. One of the plastic tumblers somehow got a hole in it, about the diameter of a pen. The unit comes with a 3 year warranty on the drum where tumblers are attached, but the buyer is responsible for the labor. Unfortunately, they designed these so the only way to replace the plastic tumbler is to basically disassemble the unit, as the fasteners are behind the drum. We have gotten quotes of $650 and $850 to do this repair, of what is undoubtedly a $10-15 part. Even if warranty covers it, the cost is the same. Be careful buying an LG washer - basically they can’t be repaired and you’ll have to figure something out or buy a new one. We fixed the hole with JB Weld. Hopefully it holds.

We had a service tech out and he said he would have to replace the entire circuit board at a cost of $684+tax. It began giving us trouble a couple months ago but was already out of warranty and still worked with some extra effort to turn it on.     LG products are great until they need repairs that will ultimately come; I had appt with Max scheduled. The day before the appt, the part arrived. I called Max and let him know it was here, he said great he be here for the appt. 1/2 hour before the appt he called to cancel citing bad weather. We live in the same city (I asked) and he said he would not risk his life to fix my washer. There was a light dusting of snow overnight and the roads were completely cleared, (I took pictures.) I called the warranty company, and for the next 5 hours I was transferred throughout departments and then companies. The customer service department is in the Philippines and have no idea what to do so they just simply transfer you.

    The technician rescheduled the appt without consulting me and because he did that, I could not reschedule it within a month. I believe he rescheduled it to cover his butt, however I never agreed to it. It was completely maddening to repeat myself time after time and what the problem was and how it was going to be resolved. One rep said they would send a technician the next day however when I tried to confirm it, we got disconnected. When I called back to confirm, they had no record of the appt. I went online to get LG corporate's number however that number transfers to the Philippines. I think more training is needed in order to provide outstanding customer service but this wasn't even close.

    Wow! I never thought I would find a company with worst customer service than Verizon and DishNetwork. How do they make washers that are supposedly great and have no customer service when it breaks. I was told multiple things by multiple people on multiple calls. Twice they ASSURED me that they were sending a washing machine motor to me (Even though it seems they should send to service company). After I didn't receive it the first time they said they never sent it and I was on the phone with LG and the service company for over 1 hour and at the end of the call, they said they were sending me a new motor for the service company to install.

    Two weeks later I call because no motor was received. Guess what, no motor was sent and they said they sent APN# to the service company. The service company didn'treceive anything from LG and they need something from LG that the customer service reps are totally unfamiliar with. Free at last. I ordered a new - NOT LG - washer and had them haul off the unsupported piece of scrap metal.

    LG top load HE model # WT1101CW With smart diagnosis & smart drive. First there’s no app to (( smart diagnosis )) anything. These are just words printed on the machine to make you think you can diagnosis if you have an issue. My machine is less than 20 months old. It states UE on every load which means the load is uneven then it flushes the tub with more water to move the clothes around. It does this with every load big or small, big light or heavy. HE machines are supposed to decrease water use but THIS ADDS HUNDREDS OF GALLONS OF WASTED WATER PER YEAR. I will never buy anything made by LG. PS: before you buy ANY new appliances get their repair shops info on that brand from the seller.

    Updated on 11/30/2022: I have been told more than 4 times now that someone is coming to repair my washer and I've just been contacted by ASAP repair and was told that I was given an erroneous date. We have followed the suggestions in the manual and from telephone representatives. I was promised a repair date and no one showed up nor called - after me having someone take off work to be here. I was told I would have someone come out by a supervisor and via chat - nothing. It takes one person of a 3 person family day to wash clothes because the machine just stops. I was told if no one comes out to repair the machine, I would get a refund. LG has not gotten a repair person out, nor extended an offer for a refund. So, basically I have a brand new $1200.00 washer from a major company that does not work. The sad part is, I have developed trust in LG and purposely picked this brand to get this type of treatment.

    The LG front load high efficiency washer is beautiful and appealing but buyer beware! Beneath the beauty is a host of trouble that's not worth it. Our new home that we purchased recently came with a washer that was manufactured a year ago. Shortly after we started using it, it started making loud noises and then stopped working.

    When we called LG customer service they brushed us off saying it was out of warranty. They recommended a third party to fix the washer and after over a month and $500 in parts and labor, they still don't seem to know what's wrong with the machine. To me, when you pay over $1k for a product there is an implicit expectation that it would last a couple years before breaking down. LG just absolved itself of any responsibility by saying the machine was manufactured over a year ago so too bad for us! At this point we are so frustrated that we might just abandon the repair and purchase another brand. Buyer beware! Check out the reviews before you make the mistake of purchasing this substandard product and get stuck with a lemon from a company that doesn't even care about you.

    Ok let me start by saying, I personally own a Maytag front loader for approximately 20 years with only the rubber gasket needing one change. THIS particular machine, by LG has been a nightmare. Watched a video on Youtube and thought it looked easy. Got to the internal wire clamp and LG no longer sells the clamp required to expand the wire coil. They give you number after number to call, to no avail. Finally they suggest have “you used any other tools to do it?” WHAT?! No tools work, not even the tool that looks like it on Amazon. Complete disaster. I am so upset that my relatives didn’t buy a Maytag. And, cleaning out this disgusting machine's drain filter was like working at a human waste facility in the open air without a gas mask. Like I said, I’ve never had this kind of issue with my Maytag. This is definitely a case of consumer beware. Did I mention it’s only 3 years old?

    Bought an LG WT7305CW washer approx. 11 months ago, 3+ weeks ago it began making a loud chattering noise, which after viewing some videos, appeared to be the drain pump. The technician replaced the drain pump and found large sharp pieces of plastic, and decided it must be the agitator, which is new to this model. I'm thinking design defect involved? He ordered another agitator and drain pump and told us we could use the washer, but the sharp plastic started coming up into the tub (luckily on towels and not clothes they cut up).

    He came out two more times and didn’t have the proper tools to replace the agitator and basically him and his supervisor left our case in limbo. I decided I would borrow the proper tool (a 20" ratchet extender) and removed the old agitator myself. I contacted their support yet again, and got escalated to executive customer service and then 'presidential liaison', no difference and now they say it will be later in the week (almost 3 weeks after initial call) before the technician can come out again, probably still without the proper tool. I don’t see how these companies stay in business with the inability to honor their warranties and poor customer support, all the way up to the Presidential Liaison office.. DONT BUY LG. THOMAS ** - YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS NON-EXISTENT.

    I bought the WKE100HVA (@Best Buy). After 3 months it started to make a very loud gunshot type sound every time I ran it. Store said to call LG, LG said to call Sears. Sears transfers me to India in which I heard a mother and child speaking for 10 mins before the woman said, "Hello."     This is the third LG washer we've owned, second dryer. Because we have a laundry closet, we need to stack the washer and dryer on top of each other and the LG stack bar only accommodates LG appliances. Thus, we've had no choice but to buy another LG product when one breaks because we can't afford to buy another washer and dryer at the same time.

    The current W&D set warranty ran out in May 2021. Since then, we've had to replace the washer motor, washer drain hose, and dryer heat sensor to the tune of about $600 ~ almost the cost of a new washer. When the drain hose had to be replaced, it was because the machine was assembled with a spring right next to the drain hose that kept rubbing against the hose until it developed a hole. The washer started leaking and ruined the tile in our laundry closet. Our clothes NEVER get clean because it's an HE so the washer never fills up with enough water to properly laundry the clothes.

    If you don't leave the washer door open after you finish your laundry, then it will start to smell and grow mold. If you don't remove the dispenser tray completely from the washer, let it air dry, and wipe out the inside on the washer where the tray sits, it will grow mold that you can't get off no matter what you do! Also, every month you must clean the drain pump filter and drain the water out of the little hose beside it otherwise, again, it will grow mold and stink.

    All-in-all, LG washers and dryers are expensive junk and I wouldn't recommend anyone buying them. Hubby & I have decided that when there's a problem with either the washer or dryer again, we're getting an inexpensive small stackable laundry center - AND IT WON'T BE BY LG! There's no point in buying expensive HE washers or new dryers because the repairman who serviced this washer on the second day we had it because it developed a leak inside the drum, told me that ALL washers were made to last about 5 years, dryers about 7 years.

    Save your money! Less than a few months of owning this machine it started squealing. We had the repair guys come out 3 different times. The 1st time they ran a diagnostic test and nothing. They said "it must just be the drum hitting on the side bumpers". 2nd time they came out again same result. The 3rd time they said it was a clutch problem and I must have ran some change or something small that got caught up in there and cracked the clutch. Bad news is the warranty does not cover a problem that you are responsible for. Problem is the clutch doesn't even come in contact with the water in any way. Well we ordered the part anyway. BTW it's a plastic part! When it came it was also broken!! Errrrrr! Well it's about a year later and I'm done. No resolution and we are out all that $.. I will never buy another LG product again!!!

    On September 6th, my wife and I felt a Jarring motion in our home. It was almost like an earthquake. I went to investigate and found my LG washer had spun out of control and had put a 6 inch dent in our wall and had also hit the LG Dryer next to it and did considerable damage to it. Since the machine was about a year old we contacted LG. Within days they sent out a technician, who took pictures of the damage and forwarded them to LG. He also unplugged the machine and locked it so we could not use it. For the next month and a half we contact LG on what they would do. After about 10 phone calls with questions about what is the serial #, which the tech sent them the first day, to where did you buy it and do you have a receipt. Again all info they track as the manufacturer. They did refer us to a Mr. ** who did respond to emails, But it wasn't his department.

    We finally contacted the President's Office and that got a response now they are offering a free repair or a discount on a new unit. Nothing about the $300 worth of damage to our wall or the extensive damage to the dryer unit. The whole process seems to be designed to have you stay on hold until you give up and dealing with people with a poor understanding of English, to pointing you to the wrong people. We are 45 days later and now the President is involved. Hopefully we will get our repairs soon.

    We are but a 2 person family, so don't run a lot of wash cycles. Perhaps if we were the average family the unit would have broken down within the 1 year warranty. That being said LG customer support declined to offer any assistance when a major component in the drive system failed. Conveniently the part is not covered under the 10 drive warranty. What a surprise, any chance that LG knew this was the weak link in the chain when writing the Warranty Exclusions? The cost to have the failed part serviced was close to $500.00. Taught us an invaluable lesson. Steer clear of any product with LG on it. If they have such low expectations of their own products it should be a warning to we the consumer.

    I bought 2!!!! stacked washer and dryers. It came with no parts to change it from shipping to useable! I have been waiting weeks and weeks for LG to send me the parts.     I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does.

    The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

    So far, so good! This is a great combo and both have sanitizing cycles! It also thinks! Does a great job! High efficiency and senses the amount of items in the tub! It doesn't have the agitator and that's just fine! Blankets, quilts, heavy towels go in without issues. As for the dryer, I have a choice on how to open the loading door! Either to the right?     I have owned my LG washer and dryer for about a year. Both have extraordinary capacity. Washed a full size down duvet without issue The washer adjusts water to load size and uses the least amount of water needed. I do not understand how it cleans perfectly using so little water. The dryer uses a cool setting for normal. Heavier fabrics come out damp and need an extra dry cycle to finish. Towels dry completely on the "heavy duty" cycle. Wrinkling is not a problem.

    Model number wt7100cw top loader bought less than 6 months prior started with grinding noises, then stopped in mid wash. Called 1st Home depot, they told me call LG. Called them to send a tech. Next day. 20 minutes before said time I a text. That they was not coming. So call lg back then spend over 2hours on the phone and 4 different people, finally get a text for a appointment the following day. Next day tech arrives. Only problem is the pulls a piece of metal out and blames us for it being damages. Says he will be back in a week to fix with new pump. One the metal the metal looks like it came from something inside the washing machine...not happy with the phone service or the tech. Lg should recall this unit. Replace it with one that last more than 6 months.

    Updated on 07/02/2021: This is review number 3. LG replaced parts twice then went off. Warranty says not their problem. Even told tech to glue part onto inside of washer. Extended warranty through Lowe's. Says not their problem with either. Despite their warranty saying it will be restored to or a operating condition if it has failed due to defects in material. Gee thought I got paid $900 for a washing machine not a towel shredder. Could have done that on my own. Tech told me LG knows there is a problem but doesn't know how to fix it. My take is lg doesn't want to spend any money to redesign the piece so clothes are not getting caught in between the little plastic knob at the bottom of the tub. No need for LG to respond since they are not going to do anything about it anyways.

    Updated on 06/30/2021: Which consumer affairs would fix it so I can write a second note. So here goes. It's going to be a toss up somebody going to pay. Might I contemplate about taking all my towels that this washing machine tore up. And send part to or all to LG and drop part or all at Lowe's. LG spent hours on phone with them after making an appointment and no one's showing up or calling. Called again more hours. Called Lowe's. They scheduled an appointment. (With the same company that LG sent out the tech that I have been texting me tells me they are closed on that day the appointment.)

    Original Review: Complained to LG about washer tearing up to towels. Sent tech out who called company and explained problem. He was told put glue on the center piece. Two weeks later tech came out replaced center piece. Scared of covid I didn't call back for a while. The other piece messed up and continued to mess up and the tech put water proof tape inside. The piece continues to mess my towels up. No towels left. So upset about $1000 washer took for granted that the other problems have to wash some clothes twice.

    Only cycle to work is bedding cycle that will not tear towels up. It appears the turbo cycle throws the clothes against the middle. The plastic piece in the middle grabs a hold to towels and shreds them so the middle has had shredded threads wrapped around it. LG needs to stick to making phones. Was excited to hear about all the new fangle things the washer could do. Now just wish it would quit pretending to be a washer. Wish I had kept my old washer that was on its last legs. Now my worst fear is coming true. My dry is having to pick up all the hair and dirt the washer is getting.

    My 5-month-old LG washer model -WT7300CW has gone dead 2 times and I am without a working washer in April'21 now for the third week. This is a lemon, don't buy this model. And LG support customer support is so bad I reached support on 4/10/21 to escalate the issue of a machine not working and to talk to a supervisor, and finally spoke with them on 4/22/21, and their policy of machine going bad three times before they call it lemon is, unbelievable!

    Purchased LG Washer in November 2020. Experienced several intermittent leaks. It caused the level legs to stain my floor orange. The stains cannot be removed. Come to find out after the technician had troubleshoot several times that there is an issue with the Deep Wash causing the washer to overfill. Quite upset that this issue exists. The board now needs to be replaced.

    I bought brand new LG Washing machine front from UAE, last June, 2020 and it’s model # FH2J3QDNP0 7 KG and after almost 8 months only, I observed it cuts my jeans trousers (expensive ones), and when I contact LG service Centre here in UAE, they came, to take it and check it in their Centre and they informed me that, "We already checked and we haven’t find anything wrong." I am very Upset and shocked, as after 8 months only and still under warranty (3 years warranty), and If nothing wrong as they said, why I complain?, It’s my right to take a new machine, as before I have another LG, for Almost 8 years, it’s working perfect.

    I purchased an LG washing machine. First one came damaged as it was delivered without a box. The replacement which came several weeks later after several follow up phone calls is defective - leaking. The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Sloppy handling. Poor processes. Indifferent reps not empowered to do their job. Never will purchase an LG again!

    Our washing machine did not work from the moment of moving into our new home. It was still under warranty. It is a LG washing machine. Model: WT1801HVA. I called LG in August of 2020 to have it repaired. Because we had no idea what was wrong with it and if it was covered under warranty, we decided to go with the flat rate program through LG. That means for one flat rate, no matter what is wrong with it, you won’t be charged anymore than that fee to fix it. This fee can be reimbursed if the machine cannot be fixed. I was charged $219.45 on Sept 2, 2020.

    We were given 3 companies to chose from to come out and fix it. The first company we called said they don’t come to Okotoks. The second company stated it was a two person job and refused to even look at it. The third company was Summer Breeze Appliance. They came out one time, could not fix it but ordered the parts. The second time they came out, they could not get the panel in correctly and came back another day. They put the new panel in and the washing machine worked once before not working again. We called Summer Breeze and the technician to advise them their work did not work. To this day, we have not heard back... I believe they are out of business. SO we decided to get paid out a pro rate fee for our washing machine through LG so we didn’t have to go through the hassle. We finally got our cheque for that a couple of months ago ($769.87).

    Here comes the headache. I requested to have the one time flat rate fee reimbursed sometime in December of 2020. I have called LG every two weeks since the beginning of January to get this money back. I have been told since January that the customer service representatives have contacted their finance department multiple times with no response. I provided LG with the exact date of the transaction and they asked me to check my credit card statements. I told them I had not received anything. The most recent dealings with LG have been the worse.

    On 2021/03/03, I spoke to an executive team member, Mohammed (**). After a very lengthy conversation he stated he will look into it (the same thing every other representative stated) and will get back to me. Not one customer service representative ever got back to me. So I asked him to call me back by a certain date with any information. He said he could not provide a date to call me back. I pleaded and said give me a date to call back please as I am so busy when I am working. He stated maybe by Monday. I said, ‘maybe? Can you please promise Monday and not maybe?’. He stated ‘hopefully I won’t pass away by then. Hopefully I will still be alive to speak to you on Monday’.

    Monday 2021/03/08, at noon, I still hadn’t heard from Mohammed and thought maybe he did in fact pass away (cruel humour I know). I called LG and asked to speak to him. The customer service representative said that he was unavailable and that he will call me when he is free. Hours go by with no call. It is now 1 hour before they close. I call and ask to speak to another executive team member. He states he can’t help me because Mohammed has the information. I ask to speak to upper management. He hangs up on me. I call back and speak to Ernesto who tells me I have to email to speak to upper management. Email has been sent. He also says that Mohammed is right next to him. I ask him to ask Mohammed for an update. He said he couldn’t do that.

    Ernesto states the refund has been ‘approved’. He stated Covid has disrupted everything. I ask for him to put my call on hold to speak to Mohammed about ‘details only he can provide’. He refuses as well and hangs up on me. I am hoping to get some resolution to this matter. I have spent upwards of 14 hours on the phone with LG and feel like I am not getting anywhere. We are still without our washing machine and this has been a huge disruption in our life.

    This has been the worse purchase. I have had this washing machine for less than a year and every time I use the machine it pills my clothes (making it uncomfortable to wear), pulls at thread (ruined a brand new comforter), and makes holes. Called LG customer service and they sent someone out but they could not find a problem. However, the problem keeps occurring. I called LG back and they are refusing to send anyone and says the machine is fine. If it was fine I would not be losing money in ruined clothes. I will never buy an LG product again if this is how they treat their customers.

    I have worked on LG washers front loads. When I order a motor it is different than the original motor. All it needs is a hall sensor. They decided to change everything. So I do not recommend ever buying an lg washer.

    Buyer beware! Rust develops in the top housing of LG washers, starting at the bleach dispenser. It does not matter if you use the dispenser or not, rust will eventually develop there, and elsewhere, on the top and lid of the machine. Eventually rust flakes will get in your wash leaving whites dingy. There is no fix for this problem. It is a result of poor craftsmanship. A class action lawsuit was filed and LG won claiming user problem. Odd how the regular use of their product would be a problem that causes rust. Do not take my word for it alone- search “LG washer rust” and read about loads of frustrated consumers with rust problems starting in the bleach dispenser area, in some cases rusting out altogether. Buyer beware!

    Whilst the machine is under warranty, oil leakage was observed and reported to the Company. They keep on telling that the Machine needs repair. This is undone as to how a new machine calls for a repair and that too within the warranty period. There is a deadlock now as I am persistent with LG for a replacement as fabric had been damaged with permanent oil spots and gradual but sure discoloration.

    I am buyer of fht1409zwl model, paid 38k INR. Biggest drawback is washing quality. (Reviewing after 15 day use) When I compare with my old top load washing machine it not even near by it. Second drum size for 9 kg are same as 7 and 8 kg. When I ask same thing from their representative they say their inner motor is differ, motherboard is different. Practically you can't put 9 kg cloths in one run. Waste of money for 9 kg. I am not writing this because of 7, 8 and 9 kg drum issues, but due to washing quality. I use other products of LG. They are extremely good, but not in case of WM. I don't need this product anymore. I love to use old one. BTW I am using other LG product like TV, refrigerator and they are working awesome. Not posting because of any hate feeling but my genuine problem.

    My 1st review 10/2020 was not acknowledged... My issues with LG was with my dryer shortly after I purchased my combo from Sears in 2004. Over the last year or so our washing machine has been leaking more and more. The mysterious thing is that it’s intermittently. Well, it finally decided to go all the way crazy & water was spewing from the bottom of the washing machine from somewhere. By the time we noticed it our washing area and hallway was completely flooded upstairs and water was leaking all through our house downstairs. It was horrible! I’m now stuck with a washer we don’t want anymore out of fear of flooding & knowledge the manufacturing company will be no help. After researching I see I’m not alone, but nothing has yet to be done by LG. Life’s not Good LG!

    The motor grenaded 5 months after the 4 year optional extended warranty expired. LG products are not made to last. My 3.8 year old LG fridge stopped working a month earlier, coils and compressor. LG products may look fancy, but they are NOT make to last.

    I purchased an LG Top loading washing machine from PC Richards in Levittown NY. I purchased the Machine in June 2020 and the machine has broke twice already! I called PC Richards to repair the machine as I bought the extended warranty. The machine is leaking from the bottom and it sounds like a lawn mower!! PC Richards was horrible. I have an elderly mother I care for who is on Hospice. When I asked how long until a repair operator can come out to fix they said a week or 2!!! That is ridiculous. I have water in my house and I cant use the washer. I have 6 people with no clean laundry. I spent over a $1000.00 for this machine and the best PC Richards can do is say "it is what it is". I feel like a prisoner. How am I supposed to care for my dying parent who needs clean sheets and laundry daily!!!

    Our washer worked well for four years. Now it is banging and traveling across the floor with each load. I depend on the washer for my business and LG doesn't take this into account when servicing. They told me it would be a week before they could send anyone out. Seems unreasonable. I expected that there would be an emergency service centre. Instead, it looks like I'll be running to the laundry mat each day. Something that will put a great strain on my work. I'll research for better quality washer next purchase. LG seemed good at first, but they break, and they don't back them up with service. I can get emergency service on my boiler, why not for my washer. VERY POOR SERVICE. Washer is worthless as it is.

    I was fairly happy with my LG washing machine for one year. Then it that stopped working. It wasn't the typical problem I'm told (e.g. pump) and seems to be electrical. It's been 10+ weeks of calls, messages, visits. They have the wrong part listed in their manual so they don't know how to identify the part on my machine they needs to replace (fail). And they won't authorize a replacement of the machine (fail). No resolution, or hope for one, and no one to speak with that can actually help.

    We bought new LG 13 kg washer. It's damaging clothes to tear and so far 30 clothes damaged, we send pictures but idiots don't shows interest to solve problems completely. They send technician and says it's perfect as it not live issue. Trying to charge 200$ to fix instead it's in warranty. LG you cheap on your service, Samsung is better.

    The LG washer WT7100C leaves a soap residue, lint, hair etc. on all dark clothes washed. I use a timy amount of liquid soap, on third brand, re wash with no soap on speed cycle and may come out with clean clothes. I called the company and they sent a repairmen out who has seen the same problem before, replaced all boards, checked all fittings, etc. all to no difference in cleaning. The washer is 15 months old and I would throw it if I could lift it!!! Just purchased a Samsung for another house I own and have no problems with it. A pleasure to use.

    After 11 years our front load washer died. Rubber smell and unable to turn on, we think it was the ball bearing assembly. We opted to buy a new one, same front load model. 2020 model has a shorter waste water line by approximately 2’. (Approximately the same height difference given with pedestal.) Another change is that the Interior cavity no longer has a light. For us, these little changes have a big impact usage in basement area. LG does not sell or provide an extension hose for waste line. Very frustrating.

    We bought a very expensive LG washer - dryer for our second home in London. Worked well even though perhaps only used 20 hours a year!!! Now after 7 years it did not dry anymore. We called out for servicing AND LG direct, paid 80 GBP to the servicing company only to receive the message, that spare parts are no longer available. LG answered, "We would, sorry to say, throw the machine away and buy a new one." Result: Never LG again, throwing a complete nearly new machine away, is this green policy???

    I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). I've since learned that this is a common issue that's been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owner's Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking that'd increase my chances of them actually showing up.

    My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesn't work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.
