I had the worst experience with my LG top-load washer. Whenever I washed white sheets, they actually came out dirtier, sometimes with visible residue, and I had to rewash them two or three times. In contrast, I had a great experience with my Kenmore washer. I used it for over 15 years without any issues. I still even have the matching dryer. With the LG machine, I also had to clean the washer itself almost every month using a special cleaning powder, which felt excessive and frustrating.

I had an LG top loader washer, one of the top end products. In ten years, it needed a few major repairs, but the worst part is the customer service at LG. They have a flat rate repair program, and I first verified my machine was eligible. It was. Then you are on AI chat for hours and getting sent to different departments. The next day, when the tech was to arrive, no one showed up. I basically spent hours going through the process again. They mistranscribed the address, and told the next tech it was a dryer.
Finally, when I tried to get things clarified, and more hours on chat and hold, they had me re-enter information and said I was not eligible for the program and were sorry the first rep got it wrong. A completely stupid communication disaster that wasted hours of my time. If you want a durable washer, go with Speed Queen. If you want to keep your sanity, avoid LG at all costs.

Not six months after buying an LG washing machine, my unit decided to display the "DL" message. That means the lid didn't lock. The online repair technician's only advice was to "reboot" the unit - that is - unplug then plug it back in. That did nothing but waste time. So, then I reached out to a local appliance place. After a week of one thing after another - and burning $450 in the process - I decided to get a new unit, as the cost(s) continued to mount. Even the technician said LG washing machines were **. His words... not mine. Judging from what I've seen so far -- he's right.

Wish I had read these reviews before trusting Google ratings and my prior experience with LG front-loading washer. At this point, my biggest grievance is with Home Depot where I purchased machine along with dryer 3 weeks ago. More detail about issues with Home Depot will be provided in separate review, but first problems with machine were connected with Home Depot's ridiculous 48-hour return policy. This along with LG's very short 1 or 2 year warranty, should have been my first red flags.
Due to other commitments, I only got to really test machine on day 2 of 48 hours. After a couple of routine loads, proceeded to wash some bedding, which caused uneven load. Ultimately, had to run through wash again, but still no spin out (no uneven warning this time - just what appeared to be end of cycle). Tried a different load with mattress pad and throw. No spin out. Called Home Depot to lodge complaint in 48 hours. A few days later washed similar bedding I had washed Day 1. No rinse or spin out.
Next load was sheets and machine leaked. Home Depot installers instantly said it was manufacturer's issue and ordered replacement. Still don't have it and getting run around from Home Depot. Sorry, LG. The machine I had before functioned well for 16 years, but I believe the appliances you and others market through Home Depot are clearly substandard. More to that, but never again will I purchase an appliance from Home Depot. Addendum: Just received call from Home Depot indicating most recent delay is problem with vendor. OK so LG is bigger part of problem than I thought.

I purchased an LG Top Load Washer WT7150CW and Dryer on March 12, 2024. Of course, I added the LG Premium Care 3-Year Extended Warranty for both products. September 2, 2025, about a year and a half after purchase I was using the Bedding cycle to wash small puppy blankets. When the bedding cycle was past the rinse/drain I noticed the sound of water again which was unusual at that stage of the washing process… Next was Spin and should have no water. I went to check it out and there were 15 minutes left for the entire load and realized that the machine was refilling with water in the Spin cycle and it was not stopping! At the 10-minute mark, I hit the pause button and after 4 minutes, the automatic drain started. If I had not noticed the refill sound I can assure you that it would have overflowed. Just as a note, there has NEVER been any Error Code displayed with this failure~
The crazy started first with LG Premium Care. When I called LG Premium Care I was transferred all over! During these phone conversations, is when I was notified that the LG Sales Rep’s name was on my Warranty paperwork with my address. Her incompetence has been a nightmare strung throughout this entire fiasco.
After 3 days, the repair was finally scheduled for September 5th. I waited all day and finally the LG tech called very late (it was after dark and it is absolutely unacceptable to think any stranger representing a major company should even expect to be allowed in homes for repairs/services of any kind). Because of the urgency involved, I allowed him to do the repair. Turns out, he said that it was a sensor that had to be replaced. LG does not provide any written repair information for the customer, which is big red flag to not doing business with anyone hiding the faults they repair. The only reason I knew what had been done is because I continually asked questions!
Here it was 6 months later, March 12th, and exactly the same thing happened again! I phoned LG PC and was tossed over to Asurion whose call center is located “offshore USA”. I got a claim number and was told that I would get a text message re the process for a claim. Of course, the bots offshore cannot do any of this in just a phone call. I finally got the text and it directed me to a “View Your Claim Status” site. That is where I found out that they did not have the extended warranty info from the purchase and I had to provide same to Asurion AGAIN in order to proceed. All of that was uploaded on Friday, March 13th. No responses or contact from them and I called again on Monday the 16th. Again, a different bot on another island with different information that I was to look for via e-mail or text… Again, zero contact.
Then we were at the 18th of March and after having been told the day prior that I would be getting an e-mail for me to use to schedule the repair, the new bot tells me something different; the repair is scheduled for the 19th by an LG tech and I am to be getting an e-mail/phone call re same and to stay with my phone at all times. Then, one hour from Closing Time of the Offshore Bots and still no contact re confirmation/time for the appointment scheduled for tomorrow the 19th.
The LG tech did arrive as scheduled and was the same person from the previous September repair. This time I took pictures of the times/refilling with water/etc. As always, the issue can never be replicated and he decided that to “solve any problems” he would just order and replace the motherboard in the machine. Naturally, it took several days to get that and return. The service this go-round was completed on March 24th~
Used the machine twice with no issues and then on March 31st, the EXACT same thing happened again. Had to go thru all mentioned above… again and even had to phone the offshore Bots back to get a Claim number because they “forgot” to provide that information via my initial request for service. Soonest repair could be here was April 2nd and he could not figure out what was going on. Before he left, I asked if this problem continues will LG replace the machine as clearly there is something going on with that “Bedding” cycle and how can one even do a load of laundry without standing right there for the full hour to see if and/or when it happens again. He did tell me that if it did happen, to be sure to take a Video of the problem as LG would not even review or consider anything with just pictures; it has to be a video!
He said that he would write his report and provide same to LG. I asked if I could get a copy of that report for my records and was told that I would have to approach LG to get that. That response was totally unacceptable so I just called that repair office and they sent to me with zero problem… “FINDINGS: Could not replicate the problem and if it happens again to call them back.” I can assure you that LG in no way would ever want any of the findings for any repair provided to any of their customers!! The ONLY reason I know what was replaced in September and first of March is because I asked while the repair was being done!
Even as I write this on April 3rd and 2 years after the initial purchase, due to the incompetent LG Sales rep who sold this to me with major errors in the paperwork, there are still 5 appliances attached to my phone number and 1 attached to my e-mail address that I did not purchase. This is another example of LG incompetence at its highest. I am fully aware that no sales rep or even owner of a company knows how a certain product will perform UNTIL it is actually in play. That being acknowledged, these products are not cheap and to fail after just 18 months with zero concern or even an attempt to work with the customer is again unacceptable. I plan to post this on any and every site I can to get the word out to stay away from anything LG and perhaps they should just stick to selling TVs? I wouldn’t buy one of those either; Samsung is much better~

I have a LG top load washer model #WT1501CW which leaked after only 6 years. It leaked on the lower back and I didn't notice until it damaged the whole floor of my bathroom. It was leaking constantly, not only when in usage. We got a part changed but it was still leaking so we disconnected the part that controls the javel dispenser which stopped the leak. Note that I do an average of 2 washes per week. Now, 2 years later, the cover broke off. The part is $250! We are not going to get it fixed and will buy another washer. I want to stress out that our old wrasher, which was an Inglis, lasted us well over 30 years! Bottom line = I don't recommend LG washing machines

Extremely Disappointed with LG Delivery and Customer Service. I ordered a washer and dryer directly from LG.com and have experienced repeated delivery failures and poor communication throughout the entire process. My original delivery was scheduled for Wednesday between 8:00–10:00 p.m., but the delivery never occurred. I contacted the driver twice and submitted two complaints with no response. At 10:53 p.m., I was informed that installation services had shut down for the night. I was then promised priority delivery for Friday at 8:00 a.m. and told I would receive confirmation. I took time off work to be available, but no call was received. Later, I was told that a delivery attempt was made and that no one was home, which was inaccurate. I specifically took the day off to receive the delivery.
As of March 31, 2026, the delivery still has not occurred. I have now taken multiple days off work, rearranged my schedule, and experienced significant inconvenience. The repeated missed deliveries and inaccurate information have been extremely frustrating. I expected better service and communication from LG. At this point, I am requesting immediate priority delivery, compensation for lost time, and improved communication moving forward. This experience has been very disappointing.

I really wish I had read reviews before ordering through the LG website. On the site, it said that I would get free installation. When the delivery people arrived, I was told that they do not install as they are 3rd party vendors. I called customer service and was redirected at least 10 times, on the phone for over an hour to try to get assistance. The first woman was downright rude, basically saying I was a liar because if I ordered installation, I would have received installation. I finally was told that they would pick up the washer and dryer and give me my money back, only to put through to someone else who had no idea what the issue was.
I had to explain to two more people the problem and then they expected me to take another day off work to be home for the delivery people instead of guaranteeing a time that was convenient for me, based on their poor customer service. I still don't know if I am getting my money back, only time will tell. Word to the wise, stay far away from this company.

I just bought a top-load LG washer and dryer. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THESE MACHINES!!!! First, who thought it was a good idea to make the tops of the machines slanted??? When I fold laundry, it just slides off onto the floor. Makes me SO VERY MAD!!! Second, I hate the fact that I cannot control the water level, water temperature, and when the soap, vinegar, etc is to be added. Third, the touch-screen is very difficult to navigate.
The Dryer is just as MADDENING!!! I can't control time, temperature, etc. I hate the pre-programmed choices. AND the lint catcher is a total joke - a piece of cheap plastic JUNK! I am sure it will not last. The dryer door is cheap plastic, too. With all the heat a dryer generates, I'm sure the plastic will fail on the door hinge. The design of the door does not match the washer door either. And the dryer door opens the wrong way!!! The paint colors of Alpine White don't match! The colors are off a bit. I would like to meet the STUPID ENGINEERS who designed these machines. OBVIOUSLY, they never did a load of laundry in their life!! As you can tell, I am FURIOUS!! $1700 wasted!!!! And THAT PRICE IS ON SALE at Home Depot. I had my last washer and dryer for 20 years. I doubt these two will last 5 years.

This is the absolute worst washing machine EVER!!!! The customer service is even worse!! DO NOT BUY! We bought a front load stackable LG THINQ in August. Nearly 3 months later started leaking through our floor, ruined our ceiling tiles. You have 3 months to return to Lowe’s so it was too late to return the machine. We then spent another three months calling LG almost every day for help. They kept telling us they were sending us to the presidential team I and someone would call us back and they never did. Pretty sure they just wanted us to give up.
It was so frustrating but finally we did get a refund in the mail however it was $200 less than what we actually paid but that’s fine. We bought a new one. Now we are on our second day of using it is throwing all kinds of errors. It is not spinning and getting the water out of the clothes. It is so frustrating!!! I guess we are just going to return it. Take a loss on the dryer and buy a different brand. Please dig deeper when you are looking at reviews. The reviews AI brings up are all reviews about how awesome the machine is … Beware. LG is the worst!

I ordered an LG washer in November of 2025, in addition to paying for installation and haul away of the existing unit. The delivery company did not deliver on the first scheduled date, cancelling the night before. LG awarded me a $75 inconvenience fee. However, the delivery company attempted to cancel the second delivery scheduled, the morning of.
After numerous calls to complain, they arrived without providing an update. Despite being included in the purchase- the company did not unbox the unit and remove the packaging material; they did not install the unit as I had paid for; and they did not remove the existing unit as was supposed to be a free service. LG has refused any further customer service, and seems to think I should be grateful that my installation fee was refunded! They have stated on 3 separate occasions that they will arrange for the haul-away of the old unit- however, it has been 4 months and still waiting. This purchase was not worth the effort.

Buyers BEWARE on model LG WT 6105CW top loader washer. Our washer is not even 1 year old. I do regularly scheduled cleaning. I have slime, gunk, brown specs in bottom of washer and on clothes. In clean cycle it is floating in water. Customer support told it needs deep cleaning and not covered under warranty. I’m having to get appliance repair tech put tomorrow to take agitator out and clean under it. I am having to pay to get this gunk out from underneath agitator. It’s a common problem with this model from comments on Google. I will not ever buy another LG appliance because of this. When you call you are talking to someone in another country. Be AWARE. I think LG should have approved tech to come fix it and not charged. It’s not even a year old. Ridiculous.

I just bought an LG WT6105CW washing machine and, like many others noted in other reviews for the model, it doesn't add enough water to wash your clothes on a normal load. I watched it all the way through, thinking it was just trying to sense how much water it needed and I thought, wow, does it ever take a long time and to my surprise, the wash cycle ended and it went to the rinse cycle with 1/3 of my clothes still dry. The only workaround, according to the reviews and LG customer service, is to do a deep wash and deep fill. That put enough water in, but it was WAY too much water for a small-ish load. I wish I had never bought this machine. I knew from the reviews that this was an issue but I thought, how likely is it that I'll get a "defective" one. I do NOT recommend this machine. What a waste of money. It's getting replaced because it's brand new but honestly, I'm not interested in having another one of the same model. Piece of junk.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer. It has been the absolute worst purchase of my entire life. I feel like I was actually robbed or scammed, it's that bad. From the get-go there were issues. The units off gassed a chemical odor so strong that it made us sick. We had to actually seal off our laundry room for several months until it reduced. The worst part about the washer was that it didn't get my clothes very clean and it made the fabric feel old and rough somehow. Before purchasing these units I had a brand new washer that worked so well. I decided to upgrade and buy a new set. I sold my old/new washer for pennies and ended up with this new washer that was really awful.
From the beginning the washer would make a mild mildew smell, but it would be ok as long as I always kept the door open when not in use. But just yesterday my washer developed a strong mildew smell that is overwhelming. Keep in mind my washer is only 7 months old. It is practically new. I contacted Home Depot who said they couldn't do anything. I then contacted LG who were worse than rude toward me and offered no help whatsoever. I was so upset with how rudely they were talking to me that I had to hang up on them. It is rare that I ever do that. I feel like this company is actually robbing people. They are saying they have an item for sale and people are paying a lot of money to get that item.
I paid near 1600 dollars. I did not get what was promised. I got a machine that had problems from day one. The washing machine ruins fabric, doesn't get clothes very clean, and has serious odor issues that could be from mold or not functioning properly. This company should not be allowed to sell an item like. But on top of selling machines that don't work they don't even offer customer service or honor their warranties. This is actually criminal. If I were to steal 1600 from someone I would go to jail but this company can do it all day long and it's just fine.

Waste so much time trying to make this work. Settings are very unclear. Doesn't give enough water to cover clothes. Agitation is much too slow. I use it as a hand-wash tub. LG Waveforce Inverter Direct Drive is the dumbest smart washer. Makes all sorts of unnecessary movements, supposedly "balancing" the load. The movement changes nothing. I almost always use "Bulky Bedding" to make sure there's enough water to turn the clothes while agitation. The water finally comes on, full blast, then slows to a trickle until filled. What?! Does the same when doing the rinse. It has to be monitored and adjusted to make sure the clothes are going to get cleaned properly. Give me an old Kenmore with simple, usable instructions and water levels for small, medium and large loads, hot, cold, warm, gentle cycle, kickass cycle. Sometimes, simplicity is the solution.

LG appliances are the worst appliances I have ever purchases. My washing machine leaked and flooded my entire laundry room and my finished basement. I incurred over $12k in damages. The machine was still under warranty. They sent someone out to “fix” the washer, which took forever because I had to keep following up. When they came out to “fix” the washer, I told them the leak was coming from the bottom but they didn’t believe me. So they replaced a tube in the back. Then a few weeks later, when my basement was almost redone from the previous damage, it leaked again and flooded again.
When I called LG, they told me the second leak was not covered under warranty. I tired to explain that it obviously what they “fixed” before didn’t really fix the problem-obviously. Thus, since the washing machine was never fixed, this is covered under the warranty. They refused to fix my washer or cover all the damage. They hung up on me and said they would have a manager call me and no one called. All these even though I still have a claim against them. They don’t uphold their warranties and they treat their customers horribly. Not to mention their products are total crap. Do not buy!!!!
